I have a microwave that has a broken door. I have an extended warranty and have been back and forth with Electrolux trying to get the door repaired or the microwave repaired for almost 4 months already. Ive been assigned 3 different authorized service providers that did absolutely nothing but make me take days off from work for nothing. The corporate sector has done nothing to help.

Purchased $855 Whirlpool washing machine from Harvey Norman Mornington 3 weeks ago. First wash after delivery and install the house flooded. Rang customer service and next Monday a repairman arrived who said the new machine could not be repaired. Our newly laid carpets were flooded and our insurer was there on the Saturday commencing the drying process. We sustained $2k damage and had to pay $500 excess. The Electrolux company refuses our request to cover the damages or even remove the machine from the laundry! They said they may refund the machine cost if we send them a bank statement to verify our identity. Next stop is ACCC. This treatment by Electrolux seems endemic from all the reviews.

This convection / microwave was delivered 1 month ago. It is replacing a Samsung Over-The-Range convection / microwave. The Samsung was ridiculously noisy, had a weak vent fan, poor lighting, and very dim display but overall it did work pretty good. After 4 years of service it got donated to Habitat For Humanity (thanks for the tax write off). NOW I have the Electrolux convection / microwave. It was difficult to install. The holes and brackets from my previous microwave aren't in the same location. I understand that these are different brands but I've hung different microwave brands in the same location before and the mounts where pretty universal - not this time. The LED display on this device is just as dim as the one on my previous device. I guess NOBODY can create a display that's easily visible from more than 7 feet away. Now here's where the Electrolux sets itself apart,,, it looks great, the lights are bright, and the vent fan actually works really well. The interior is all stainless steel with this cool diamond pattern. It looks really nice. When using the convection oven,,, the temperatures are accurate and it bakes to perfection. It is noisy too but nowhere near as screechy and obnoxious as the Samsung. It's just the nature of convection / microwaves to be a little loud. If anyone finds a quite one please let me know. As for the buttons,,, there ARE NO buttons. It's a flat touch panel just like your smart phone. Pushing hard on a number doesn't make it work. You have to gently apply a full fingerprint over the button to get it to work and you cannot be in a hurry. It takes a little getting used to but it's really not that big a deal. This is an expensive device but it was worth it.

Bought this washer on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm so glad I did! It's so quiet, unless it's on its final spin, but that's okay as it really extracts the water. Love the features, and especially like the pod function and the steam! Best washer I have ever owned.

I bought a new standing Leonard freezer code number MUFF21VL-220 MUFF21VLHW-L. It is supposed to be frost free, but unfortunately it makes ice in the upper freezer shelf. It was checked twice by Ale ASA company, your dealer at Al Khobar, not able to repair yet. I bought this brand because I had good past experience with same brand fridge. Now I am disappointed. Please I need a solution to this issue. Since this reflects very bad on marketing your product. Hope to hear from you soon.

We ordered an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes. We waited three weeks for it to arrive. The installer turned it on and it flooded water onto our wood floor. Installer stated that a new one would have to be reordered. One month later, a second Electrolux was delivered--same thing. We asked for it to be removed and our credit card credited immediately. Installer stated this is the fourth Electrolux this week with this problem, yet they keep selling them.

12/19/2011 purchased Electrolux washer & dryer from local appliance dealer, over $1600. Shortly afterward, problems with washer spin cycle & door lock. Local dealers authorized repairman made multiple repair attempts, problem unsolved. Dealer said WE had to contact the factory! So much for the local dealer for good service. After back and forth with factory, they agreed to replace washer with a new one. 2013 the dryer heater element failed, replaced under warranty. 2014 dryer heater element failed again. Warranty expired. Again, no help from local dealer, and no help from Electrolux. 2014 dryer motor making noise. No help from local guy, Electrolux will send a motor for half price. The second washer still has problem with spin cycle, rebooting by unplugging seems to reset and resolve the problem, so far. I mistakenly expected, after investing in new high end appliances, I would enjoy a few years of trouble free service. Wrong!

Its a great looking fridge, however, we had many issues with it. The water in the filter freezes, causing all of the functions in the door not to work. Freezing everything placed in the veggie drawers. The ice maker works intermittently, and now only the crushed worked. Ice maker died after about one year. I really like it, but not worth the high price.

I had purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer in July of 2015. I spent over $2200 on the pair. I noticed almost immediately that the washer wasnt completely spinning the clothes dry. I assumed it was because it was too full. I lightened the loads and the problem still continued. I often had to rewash the loads 4 and 5 times to get it to spin dry. I had family come in to stay with me a few months after I purchased it. They used the machine and told me to call the company and have someone come out. I did and when the service guy came out he had told me that the entire inside of the machine needed to be replaced because a bolt came loose and pushed the drum forward. He informed me that the was a lemon and that I should get a replacement machine. He also said this would take 2 weeks and 2 guys and a 5 hr job. 2 weeks without a washing machine was unheard of in my world. I immediately called Electrolux and spoke to a manager. They told me all they could do is fix it and pay for the repairs. They told me to talk to Sears where I bought it to see if they would do anything for me. Well Sears did nothing!!! Literally said its not our problem and they dont deal with Electrolux. Then why the Hell do you sell it??? Never shop there... Ever. Anyway the repairs guy came out 12 days later. Fixed it and 1 week later I called to report the same issue. He retired to tell me its just the way this machine is. Nothing else he could do. Again, 2 weeks later the machine stopped spinning all together. They returned and said the bolt was loose again. This time they glued it. 7 months old and the machine is being glued. Well I said, pretty bad for a new machine to be treated like a 10 year old one. I called Electrolux and told them this was the 3 call on the same problem and this should be treated as a lemon and the machine should be replaced. The woman agreed completely and said she would get on the problem. Well never heard from her again. My husband called, talked to the manager and he said now that its glued it should be fine. I would have to wait for it to break again before any action takes place. Ive been out of laundry for a total of a month and for some reason they think thats ok!! I dont!!! Never ever purchase from this ** company. Save your money please.

Electrolux single wall oven - Many problems in the eight years Ive had it. Stains and runs in the glass door, the oven floor turned white where the heating element is but the worst problem is in the last two years with the self-clean mode. It either says the racks are still in, so the clean mode wont work, or it cleans and gets too hot and shuts the oven down so it will not heat up upon next use. This requires repairman to change the fan and replace some switch. This has happened four times. Repair guy says not to use the clean mode anymore. Im disabled and to clean it myself is not an option. Also it seems everything splatters so much that it will have to be cleaned. I was so happy with it at first, it was so out of my price range, but I always thought you get what you pay for, but not in this case. Also on my Electrolux side by side fridge had to have it repaired twice - a computer malfunction, four hundred once and three hundred another time. My over-the-stove microwave had the least problems, with only one service call for the push button door broke and it wouldnt close. Ive never had so many problems with one brand. Oh, and my Electrolux vacuum, well thats another nightmare.

Almost from the beginning this refrigerator has had problems. The ice maker continues to be non functioning as well as the interior lights. Customer Service is good at one thing saying Im sorry. I have put more money into this appliance than any other I have purchased over the past 30+ years. I purchased a new switch hoping that would resolve the lights not working, however it looks as though the board is defective. In order to fix the ice maker and the circuit board, we are looking at approximately 1500.00.At this point, I am better off to purchase another refrigerator, obviously not this brand. You spend more money on quality products and this has been one time where this wasnt the case. If you look at all the reviews, Electrolux obviously needs to go back to the drawing board because consumers arent happy and the issues seem to be the same i.e. ice maker. This refrigerator is only about 6 years old and when you spend 3500 you expect it be in good working condition for many years to come.

They are now on the second service person and he cant look at it for 20 days. I expect to be without a refrigerator for at least 3 months, this is just not fair. They should have just replaced it. Lets see. A 12 month warranty but the unit doesnt work for at least 3 months and I have renters that have no refrigerator. I will now not buy from Home Depot either because they wont exchange and they dont repair. I will next time buy from a company that sells and repairs what they sell.

I own an Electrolux ICON, high-end Counter Depth refrigerator. The Ice Maker has NEVER worked properly. The fan keeps making noise and freezing up, and the ice maker refuses to fill. Ive checked every possible problem it could be, from water pressure to filter replacement and more. Something as simple as an Ice Maker / Dispenser should just work. Theyve been making ice makers for refrigerators for a long time. Its not rocket science. And, why is Electrolux able to simply ignore this problem without making it right for the customer(s), thousands of them unhappy and likely never to purchase another one again, due to horrible customer service and company unwillingness to fix the problem.

Don’t invest in any Electrolux appliances! It’s way too expensive and not well made stainless steel material. In less than a year the plastic around the pullout drawer broke. Purchased top of the line Electrolux double oven last November. Five days after 1 year manufacturer warranty expired, the oven glass door shattered during self-clean. The company offered to fix if I bought an extended warranty which I did. The customer service has been horrible - the worst Ive ever experienced. They had to order a part and it took several aggravating phone calls just to check the status of the parts order. No one wants to follow through on your request - they just transfer your call to a different area and you end up having to give out the same info. On one call I was transferred 5 times before I actually got a rep that was able to help me. Even the survey at the end of the call did not work. Was answering the questions and then it hung up before the survey was through. I will never buy or recommend Electrolux products.

My husband and I purchased an Electrolux refrigerator from Lowes in March of 2017. In May of 2017 we moved into our new home that was just built. In August, 2017, I came home to water in my kitchen that was coming thru the ceiling of my finished basement. A repairman was sent out to replace a part. In September, 2017, I was standing at my kitchen sink and the water dispenser just came on. Thankfully I was home to shut off the water. The repairman asked me to videotape it the next time it happened to document it! Another part was ordered and replaced.About 10 days ago (October, 2018), I woke up early to get a glass of water and found myself standing in water and water again coming thru the basement ceiling. Lowes stated I was out of warranty and to contact Electrolux directly, which I did. This morning a 3rd repairman came out and again stated a part needed to be replaced. I requested Electrolux replace this obvious lemon of a refrigerator but they will not. They can only offer me an extended warranty thru March 2019. I have no confidence in this product. I will not be able to leave my house or go to bed any night for fear that this will happen a 4th time. How many times does this product have to ruin my home before it will be replaced? Do not buy model E123CS35KS4A if you value your home. Shame on Electrolux for not standing by their product.

Shortly after purchasing the $4K refrigerator from a local company, the ice maker stopped working. After talking to another appliance shop, I was informed that the other store would not sell the model sold to us since there was a known defect with a control board. Sure enough after contacting the store we purchased the fridge from and Electrolux, a technician serviced our unit but warned us with all the electronics now in these machines, there would increasing problems. We have a Kenmore 22 in the garage that has worked flawlessly since 1986. So two months ago I get a glass of crushed ice for a drink, and just before downing the last bit of the drink, I spy a large screw at the bottom of the glass. Thankfully I saw it before swallowing it. It came from the front control arm of the ice maker and supports a plastic bushing which acts as a support so the ice maker water tray can go through its cycle of accepting water, passing back to the steel chilled protrusions that dip into the ice, heating up and then tilting to release the ice into the ice container below which feeds to the front dispenser. I re-installed the screw, but the ice maker refuses to completely cycle up the right side of the upper department and stops just shy of the little red switch and simply churns in an endless motor spasm. Does anyone know if there are diagnostic tests you can initiate from the front control panel to actually see where the problem is with the door open?

We purchased an Electrolux refrigerator in 2008. Thirteen months later, the ice maker broke and could not be repaired. We were told that the warranty was over and that they would pay 1/2 toward a new refrigerator. Since we werent about to shell out $1,500.00, we complained to the Electrolux rep and he ended up getting us a new refrigerator. However, we have had seven service calls on that appliance in two years! First of all, the doors werent aligned, then there was a leak in the back of the unit because it was never sealed at the factory. A new ice maker was installed, then all ice compartment gaskets and housing were replaced, the freezer gasket was replaced, etc. Because of all of the problems, the company did give us a one year extended warranty.

I purchased an Electrolux washer and a dryer from a local appliance store - Appliance World in Huntington, November 24, 2012. The washer and dryer were delivered on December 10, 2012 and were both not working. The washer was leaking water all over the floor, and the dryer was making a really loud banging sound. I have contacted Appliance World and they informed me that they have a no return policy, and that I have to work directly with Electrolux. I have contracted Electrolux and they have sent a service man to my house 3 different times to fix the problems. My washer currently seems to be working. However, the dryer is still not working - making the same loud noise. Had a Dishwasher and Microwave go out on me over the holidays. I seem to be burning out dishwashers at an alarming rate, the computer goes bad or motor goes out, leaks, not having good luck. So getting away from Kitchen Aid and Whirlpool and seeing the problems the new Samsung was having (people pushing chairs up against the door to keep it closed) I decided to go with this dishwasher as it was rated number one on some testing something on another site. They glorified the thing as god's gift to the dishwasher community, so okay. Ordered from Lowes, took it home and installed it. The inside is a little smaller than my last Kitchen Aid so that takes some getting used to as I like to stick car size things inside, huge pots for making spaghetti for 20 people like five gallon stuff, doesn't fit. Regular home, will not have a problem with this dishwasher, I over do it. It cleans better than any of the dishwashers I have had in the past. zed Glasses come out cleaner or more clear, well everything you can see it, I am surprised. Drying kinda sucks. I had turned off my water softener to fill fish tanks and if you use hard water, it does not dry the dishes very well. Turned on the softener, use Jet Dry and it does okay sometimes I got to shake a few things to get them dry when I take it out. The controls is something else I don't like. Press the start button and nothing indicates you made it happen. However if you put your ear to it, it makes a little beep beep sound, very faint. Then you close it and does a little faint song as to say its going and you know its going. For the amount of money I paid for this dishwasher and how well it cleans, I am willing to overlook the small things and I don't mind drying one or two things by hand, but others might see it differently. I like it and its doing good, so 5 stars. One more thing, I do BBQ and no other dishwasher can get some of the meat pans clean. I usually wash them in the dishwasher just to make it easier to do it by hand. This dishwasher actually cleans the pans first time out. Makes me wonder how long my dishes are going to last getting blasted clean like that, but I like the less work that is involved.

Two stars is too high but Im past angry, just very dissatisfied with my Electrolux appliances. Ive had major problems with my dishwasher. Within several months and after numerous replacements of the control panel, I was already on my third dishwasher. Its working now but it does a questionable job of cleaning. Some of the dishes come out dirtier than they went it. My inexpensive GE did a better job and in ten years I never had a repair issue. The dishwasher now just sits there looking pretty as Im no longer using it. I love my induction range... when it works. At 23 months not one, but two control panels went out. Electolux agreed to cover parts which Im told would have been a couple thousand. I paid a few hundred for the service technician. Repairs took approximately six weeks. Before and after the replacement I find myself making frequent visits to the electric control box to flip the switch and wait while the range reboots. This is extra irritating when I think food prep is almost done only to find the range top or oven is not working. Between the dishwasher and range I estimate Ive had 18 service calls. Each one of them forcing me to take anywhere from two to four hours of uncompensated time away from work. Ive not had any major problems with the refrigerator except that its poorly designed. When you close the freezer drawer, ice slides over the back of the container preventing the drawer from closing. We keep a yardstick nearby to slide the ice out as the opening is too tight to reach our arms in. Guests have needlessly apologized for closing the drawer too hard. Please! The filters need frequent replacement and are expensive. Our salesperson made no mention of this foreseeable cost. And the darn alarm doesnt work when the drawer is open (because of ice thats slid where its not suppose to) and the ice cream is melting; but it goes off in the middle of the night, screaming for me to come turn it off, when all that happened is the electricity went out for a few seconds. The range hood works okay but its noticeably louder now than when we first installed it. Through all of this Electrolux has been more concerned with the performance of the contracted technicians than with the performance of their appliances. Im at an age where lots of friends are doing kitchen remodels. I tell them all, dont buy Electrolux. Spend your $7K+ elsewhere; And they are.

The product is the french door refrigerator. The ice maker does not work after doing the quick fix reported on the net. I shut down the ice maker and turn it back on for a good year. There are so many reports on this. In addition to it not working, the ice maker leaks and makes a puddle by the water dispenser. Everyone complains about the ice maker. This being the case, it is probably a bad engineering design. You would think the company would be ethical and back the product and do a recall and fix the problem but no recalls! There should be. I would like to see a class action suit against Electrolux to force them to do a recall and pay to fix the problem. I would love to talk to anyone willing to do this.

I bought my Electrolux wall oven model CPEB30S9DC2 in early 2007 and it has worked without incident until Jan 16 2015. That evening we were cooking and lucky we were not out of our house and only in another room when we heard the sound of electrical short coming from the kitchen. Smoke was coming from the wall oven and thought that, an element was burning out due to its approximately 7.5 years of service. Pushing the OFF button on the face did nothing and sparks smoke and a burning plastic smell was filling the room. Went directly to the power supply and turned off the circuit breaker. Being in the manufacturing business of electric steam generating appliances for over 35 years, I investigated the construction of the printed circuit board that had caught fire in the wall oven. I was surprised to discover that there was no fused protection on this internal device. This lack of conscience in the design would have in the worst case scenario allowed a fire to start in the appliance that may have transferred to the surrounding cabinetry. Lucky for us, we had the power supply disconnected within 1 minute of the short circuit and the only damage was smoke and fumes, which we can still smell in our kitchen even after removing the wall oven, cleaning the smoke soot from the cabinetry and airing out the kitchen for 24 hours. Thought I was buying a quality product when I purchased this appliance but after reading about so many different appliance recalls on the internet, I want to take my next purchase apart and study the construction before installing in my home. There are too many horror stories out there about families that have lost so much due to appliance fires. I do not understand how this design could hold a CSA mark and have been passed for certification. My next letter is to CSA. Am I the only wall oven that has a printed circuit board that has melted and caught fire. Consumer beware!!

Never showed up again.Called Electrolux again. They promise to deliver the part within two days. I waited for more than seven days. No part arrived. Called Electrolux again. They promised that they will review my case and seek a replacement or refund for the refrigerator. I asked if I need to call again. They said no. More than seven days passed again no information. I called today Dec 24th 2020. Spoke with support staff who asked me to hold the line for more than 15 minute, this call was suspiciously ended by the support end. I called again. Another operator came on the line to say that the technician will fix it next Tuesday. Where in north America can we do without a refrigerator for two months. Above everything else what company is Electrolux/Frigidaire? Such a bad support that they cannot stand to their word. They do not return Email or calls. I will recommend that company for zero star.

Can only wonder if the GE acquisition is a factor in the terrible cust service from this once prestigious company! Previous service calls were handled professionally and never had an issue until Sept 15 when I called cust service and ordered replacement part which covers the motor, etc on back of refrig. Unit arrived approx 10 days later damaged beyond use due to improper packaging of unit (modified box broke open, packing material missing, and unit was crushed). Called cust service back and a replacement unit was shipped out and arrived 4 days later but it was the wrong part. There are only two parts on the backside of a refrig -- the metal plate covering 90% of the unit and the cardboard panel covering the motor, etc! Called cust service again and was advised even though Electrolux rep ordered the wrong part, they would only waive restock fee and I was financially responsible for return shipment for a 35 x 13 x 5 box. Lastly, submitted online complaint to cust service expressing my disagreement with the shipping issue. Next day received email reply stating Saw you called in and matter was resolved by waiving of restock fee.I seriously question if there is some type of learning/listening disability issue (such as Attention Deficit Disorder) with the Electrolux service staff. Or perhaps they just dont care -- put in their hours and collect a paycheck and go home. Three out of four reps failed to listen/absorb what was being said and merely mouthed platitudes and repeated errors. While I was very polite to all of the cust service reps, I am thoroughly disgusted with the corporation and would not recommend Electrolux products.

My Electrolux double wall ovens - I keep getting an F11 error code. Call electrolux... They are just out of warranty. Apparently it is a $530. part, another $200 plus for the repairman. Diagnosis is vague. This is a you should start by replacing this situation. Unacceptable. We should be able to expect a reasonable problem-free lifespan for these major purchases. Its used twice a week (regularly) and intensely used twice a year (for the usual special occasions). This company doesnt even have a website where you can at least do some of the information-gathering yourself. And the script of the service desk is... We are anxious to please our customers. Can I call you by your first name? I will try to put you in touch with someone who can help you.... And I hope you are satisfied with the answers you received today. Nothing technical. No solution. In short ZERO service. When the repairman contacted Electrolux (from our home), they read what the error code said off a script and didnt ask any other symptoms. That did not give either of us any confidence as they they did say to start with that repair and see if it works. START with a $700 plus repair AND SEE IF THAT WORKS??? These were $3600 ovens, and they are 15 mos old. Completely unacceptable. My fight has started.....

Bought a front load washer and dryer 2 years ago. Within the first month our washer was beeping and displaying an error code. Called and told it would cost $125 for one of their authorized repairmen to take a look. Fast forward to 6 months old, it started leaving oil/grease stains on our clothing. Destroying these articles of clothing. Fast forward to 9 months in and out dryer wouldnt stay on for longer than 5 minutes at a time. Called and was told it was the heat element and it was not covered. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! So we paid out of pocket to repair and purchase the part. Now not even two years old the washer is leaking water everywhere causing extensive damage to our floor and wall. They are willing to cover the part as now suddenly parts ARE covered up to two years (so our heat element should have been covered!) but are still going to be responsible for the cost of labor. I have never seen such junk! What company does not stand behind their products?! I know and understand warranties. However with units that have had as many problems as these, it is inexcusable to shrug shoulders and say Oh well. Plagued with issues and no assistance. What a joke!!!

I purchased a complete set of ICON Electrolux appliances just over 10 month
I purchased a complete set of ICON Electrolux appliances just over 10 months ago. The first time we used the dishwasher, the control panel kept displaying a code 11 that indicated a drain valve issue. I contacted the customer service department and they referred me to a service company to come and review the issue. The service tech had no idea what he needed to do, and advised me that it was not an issue with the appliance, but an installation issue and advised there was nothing he could do. I then contacted a plumber at my own cost and was advised by a 25-year experienced plumber that there was nothing wrong with the installation and to contact Electrolux back to get a second opinion from another service tech. I contacted Electrolux back and after many complaints, they finally sent a different service company to review the product. The new service tech finally advised that the issue was due to the faulty computer board, which he advise Electrolux to replace. Electrolux then advised that the dishwasher I purchased was no longer available and the store which I purchased from gave me a refund. I then decided to give Electrolux another chance and purchased their product. Recently, I used the self-clean on my Electrolux ICON stove and when the self-clean was complete, I opened the stove and noticed the door window had dirty film in between the glass and there were two size toony marks on right and left side of the door. I wiped it with a damp cloth and pieces of the material started chipping off. I sent an email to their customer service department and they advised there was nothing they can do as their guarantee only covers working parts and not visual ones. I could not believe that I received such an email from a high-end company.

We had to create space on our kitchen counters and decided to use the area above our stove. We had the small cupboard presently in place cut done by a few inches, removed the old range cover, and installed this microwave/ convection oven. Because of the convection oven, we are able to have three ovens at that location. We have a GE double oven with the control board on the front. Sometimes we use on of the stove ovens as a warmer, which we do have the space to add.

I purchased what I thought was a high quality front loading washer and dryer from Electrolux in 2014. In only two and a half years, the dryer has stopped working. The moisture sensor completely just fell off on its own, and I am beyond warranty. Ive had to take days off from work to have the item inspected, and to order a new part. It isnt cheap either. This is a very disappointing product that was not made very well.

We have had nothing but problems with our Electrolux appliances. This is not just one model, but many different appliances. When we moved into our new house we unfortunately purchased all Electrolux including fridge, stove, dishwasher, popup vent, and over/microwave combo. This was all about three years ago. Since purchasing new appliances, the fridge has needed repair twice, the vent hood fan went out and we replaced it with a different brand (Wolf), the stove and oven have had issues and just recently our dishwasher cooked itself. It made several popping sounds and we smelt electronics burning in the kitchen, then the dishwasher shut down and wont come on again. Its now being replaced with a Bosch dishwasher.Do yourself a favor and AVOID Electrolux and their brands. They make junk. Also be careful as some brands like Kenmore use Electrolux to manufacture their goods. Do your research and stay away. I hope my review will help someone save time and money. We spent about 12K on all these new appliances and after 3 years, we are already in the process of replacing them. Getting the fridge repaired was a major hassle with their repair department. Its going to be easier for us to just purchase new appliances and start clearing our house of Electrolux. Never again Electrolux!!! You have been banned for life from my house and Ive already told hundreds of friends to stay away from your brand.

Updated on 09/03/2020: It is now September 3, 2020 and I have finally been able to write to 2 people at Electrolux (Mira and Melissa) about my Frigidaire Refrigerator issues. Even though I have been told the people I wrote would get back to me (5 days ago), I have heard nothing from anyone at Electrolux/Frigidaire. The staff refuse to provide contact information to anyone above Supervisor and Ive been at this since receiving this defective fridge in May 2020. I am frustrated that Ive spent so much money and wasted so much time trying to resolve issues that should not exist in a new product.Original Review: I bought a Frigidaire Professional refrigerator from HOME DEPOT who broke the door upon delivering it. They replaced it with another unit which was defective. The defective unit was replaced with a unit with defective parts again. Electrolux and HOME DEPOT insisted that it be repaired, not replaced. They sent out a tech three times then advised me that they approved a replacement weeks prior. That was on July 29, 2020. The (3rd) replacement was authorized on July 8 (without notifying me). It is now August 20, 2020 and I find myself once again on hold for over an hour to be told Sherine at HOME DEPOT cant find the information and cant help me that I need to call another dept.I called the other dept. who said I had to deal with HOME DEPOT.... Yes, I spent hours and hours calling these companies only to be placed on hold for hours and I am still having to wait for them to figure this out. My review is about the really long wait times on hold (today only it was 2hrs and 17 minutes in total), the fact that too often they dont know how to use the phone and say that there are phone system issues today. Too often they are rude and unhelpful. Consumers need to think long and hard about who they buy from. Too often big companies are buying the competition and limiting consumers options, then remove quality of service. Its time the consumer speaks up or stop buying crappy product from companies who dont care to provide care.

We purchased an above the stove Electrolux microwave/convection oven several years ago with the understanding that this was a good solid quality brand. We did not get an extended warranty. Almost immediately after the original warranty ended, it stopped heating. It was too costly to repair - we spent a couple hundred dollars on it and ended up just getting a new one. Same model but with the extended warranty. Glad we did, but after 4 service calls and it still doesnt turn on consistently, I will NEVER PURCHASE AN ELECTROLUX APPLIANCE AGAIN. BEWARE OF THIS BRAND. Im sick and tired of taking time off work for a service call and then within a couple of weeks it stops working again.

We purchased a Frigidaire side by side less than 2 years ago. Yes, I understand it is out of warranty, but when it caught on fire this weekend at 10 at night, I called a repairman to come look at it. Our model is FFHS2611LB4. We were informed that the water line was not sealed correctly at the factory. Also, the access hole is directly over the relay overload. I spent over $200 for the repair which is not much considering what could have happened if we were not home. Just got off the phone with customer service and of course they will not do anything. Was offering to give us 1/2 off on parts. That doesnt really help when it has already been fixed. I will not buy this brand again. Faulty merchandise and poor customer relations.

I purchased my Electrolux french door refrigerator from sears in 2015 and have had problems ever since. It does not keep as cold as it should and randomly stops cooling. The thermometer on the door shows a constant 34 but a thermometer placed on the shelf shows approx 48 depending on the location in the fridge. Then randomly every couple months or so the high temp alarm will go off and the fridge gets warm. Technicians have replaced control boards and tested everything but cannot figure it out. Best they can tell the evaporator is freezing up but they dont know why. We have a mini fridge in our kitchen to keep our dairy and other delicate groceries in. Thats just sad, we trust the $100 fridge but cant trust the $2500 one.

The cost was very affordable for the size of both. The different types of cycles were offered on each. The washer had a hand wash plus a delicate cycle. The cycle on the washer was no longer than 38 minutes, compared to some might last way longer. The dryer had a lot of issue and needed repaired. This was caused by the assembly line by the manufacturer. The dryer would need to have air dry cycle on cold cycle to air comforters. A price would be too high for the pair. The company does not have a good reputation on quality and does not have a a record of low maintenance. Even though Ive had problems with the dryer, the store where we purchased them sold us an extended warranty which paid for itself. We remodeled our kitchen several years ago and replaced our dishwasher, refrigerator and slide-in range/oven with Electrolux appliances. All three have required significant repairs or replacement. The dishwasher has failed twice and has “irreparable problem”. The wire that holds the door open in various position is connected to a molded plastic fitting in the frame. The fitting breaks off the molded plastic frame. The machine is build on and that’s that’s, you need a new dishwasher. After two years of service we received a $200. Credit toward our next $1,000+ machine. The fancy range we bought had a valve fail and that was $400. And the ice maker failed in the fridge. That was $350 for half an ice maker that now sounds like it’s grinding up glaciers. No more Electrolux for us!

I purchased the wave touch dishwasher ($1200.), the microwave ($600.), and the French door ice maker fridge ($2,999.) since 2009. The dishwasher was replace immediately for leaking. Now it makes a noise while running, where before you never heard it run. We have mold that builds up it, we have to take it apart, use brushes to clean the racks. I think that should be a liability for knowing my dishes are being washed with mold build-up. Disgusting. The ice maker has been replaced so many times I gave up counting. Sad part we heard the same thing, yes, we know that is a malfunction in the design of the ice maker. The ice clumps to the front of the bin, starts making a thumping noise & I have to empty so it will make new ice. Thank goodness we purchased the extended 4 yr warranty. The microwave ($600.) the latch that closes the door broke, so you cant use the thing & we had to tape it shut to keep the door from staying open. My daughter purchased their oven ($1200.) & the electronic board went out on it. Thank goodness they purchased the extended warranty. I would never tell my worst enemy to purchase any Electrolux appliance. I insisted on this product & have been unhappy since. We purchased them before retiring (knowing we would be on a limited income), hoping we would be good for at least 20 yrs, so much for that with these products. Please never buy any of their appliances, you will regret it.

All the parts that could be replaced have been replaced as per comments from technician. There is a design flaws and the technicians have repeated that they have many issues with these refrigerators. I will NEVER buy another Electrolux product. Its too bad I wasnt wise enough to check reviews before buying. Almost from the start I had issues with the ice dispenser. After many phone calls & service calls, at least 5, after changing celluloid, main board, ice bucket assembly, they sent 3 incorrect ones before I got the correct one. Mind you they had the part #, after taking at least 4 days off from work to be home for repair tech, I am now close to spending $700.00 in parts. (Oh, they give a 20 percent discount on parts that I have no way of breaking, a celluloid, that takes about 20 minutes to get to?) Main board? Really? I now have the pleasure of a sporadic high temp 58 degree refrigerator & again no help from Electrolux. They use cheap parts & dont stand behind their product. NEVER AGAIN.

This is a letter I am sending to everyone and every review site and agency.
This is a letter I am sending to everyone and every review site and agency. We have discussed this with Lowes and Electrolux AT EVERY REPAIR ISSUE. We cant afford an appliance that has proved it will need repeated repair. We purchased a beautiful Electrolux EI28BS56IS stainless steel refrigerator from Lowes in Meridian Mississippi 11-30-10. We had a Sears Kenmore refrigerator that was approximately 16-19 years old. It was still working well but was stained and had cracks in the plastic where someone has dropped a heavy jar. While shopping at Lowes, we were mesmerized by the beauty and BRAND NAME of this refrigerator. My husband is retired Navy and lives on Social Security and I work part time since my cancer treatment. This was a luxury but we were planning on this lasting a long time, maybe for our lifetime. We moved it in, but kept the old refrigerator pushed against another wall to make it easy to transfer items after the new Electrolux cooled. Thank goodness we did that. We had trouble with the ice maker right away, but curiously, even though the new one was bigger than my old fridge, it would not hold everything that was in the old one. What? How is that possible? Oh well, it is a good time to clean out items. Now I have less but the shelves wont adjust to really be useful. You would have to take out a couple of shelves to fit in milk and soda. That leaves even less room. You have to sacrifice sometimes to get something else, right? But what have I gotten - a really expensive albeit pretty refrigerator that takes up more room but actually holds less. Why does the ice machine make that knocking sound but doesnt make ice?Purchased 11-30-10; First repair 12-15-10. I asked the repairman his opinion about the refrigerator - I wont quote him, but he mentioned he wouldnt take it if I gave it to him free. I was concerned, but what choice did I have? Keep my fingers crossed and pray. I came to despise that refrigerator. Every time I walked into my kitchen, there it was, sitting there like a big stainless steel lemon, reminding me it was a time bomb waiting to go off - reminding me of my mistake. Calls to Lowes and Electrolux too numerous to count. Next repair, 03-22-11. Next repair, 04-01-11. Although I believe there was at least one more visit from the repairman, I cant find documentation, so I wont count it.August 2013 - a strange but somehow familiar knocking sound is coming from the kitchen. I sense a sick feeling beginning in the pit of my stomach. My husband checks the ice maker - there are a couple of pieces of ice in the bin with some odd black color. Check the filter (we have also dealt with 2 cracked filters that caused water leaking onto the floor). Change filter just in case. Nope - still doesnt work, but I am getting used to the knocking noise. Call to Lowes service company- they cant find the record of our previous visits (surprised?), wait, hold on, and on, and on... I finally hung up while on hold and called Electrolux directly. I explained what I was dealing with (again), and they do have the record of all 3 previous repair visits, but since I purchased the warranty from Lowes, I need to call them back. Okay, thanks. Call back to Lowes Service Company. A Lowes manager at the local store told us to ask for an RA number from the service company (after 3 repairs, you can ask for replacement?). Rep at Lowes Service Company said we needed 2 more repairs under the extended warranty because the first 2 repairs were under manufacturers warranty and they DONT COUNT! WHAT? Dont count as what? They were repairs that were needed. That doesnt make any sense. By reading reports online about this model, the company knows the problems it has had. They have to know its not reliable. Are they just hoping I will give up? I dont have any money, but I do have lots and lots of time to send my review of Electrolux and Lowes and Lowes Service Company every day and tell everyone who will listen. When we remodeled our home, we purchased all appliances, hardware, lumber, bath fixtures, and remodeling items from Lowes. I am very disappointed in the way they are taking care of this. I am very disappointed in the brand Electrolux. Read more than just this review- check all the other unhappy customers. Electrolux should be ashamed for having their name on this POS (excuse my language). I can guarantee I will never knowingly purchase any item made by this company. I wish I could go somewhere besides Lowes but our town doesnt have a big choice. I will avoid Lowes wherever I can if they dont find a way to make this right. Since the refrigerator is still covered under the extended warranty that WE PURCHASED, Lowes has set up a service call for 18 days from now. My concern is what happens after our warranty runs out? We know, and they know, this appliance is a lemon or just a defective design since many of these dont work properly. Are they just hoping it will make it until the warranty has ended, and we are on our own? This doesnt seem like an honest way to do business. If you buy an Electrolux appliance, BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Now the equipment are over a year in use and we have few machines, i.e., dishwasher, flat ironer, meat bone saw, went out of order and Chbib was called in for check or repair. It is with regret to state that your dealer has no spare parts available with them what so ever, in order to get the machines repaired. They had to place order for the same and we have to wait until they receive these parts and the waiting period is more than a month. And that too when the equipment under warranty? Now the dishwasher is o. Again and we dont know how long your designated agent will take to bring in the spare parts when the warranty period is already over. (One year).Again dish washing machine still is out of order from 20th December till now, only due to spare parts (Frequency Inverter part # OL2601- Model # WTM 140 ERB). After long time, your dealer received the parts and now last four days they are trying to fix, but they are facing some complications with new part installation / parameter, and dish washing machine still is out of service, and I requested to Chbib provide us alternative solution to run the operation. And we buy new meat bone saw of different brand because when saw was out of order (only motor was burnt out) and your dealer was taking long time to repair it, more than two month. What is the solution to get the fast service from your dealer and we want to direct dealing to your company to get the spare parts with in minimum period. Would you imagine this how we will run the operation? This time we feel so sorry for Electrolux Company that we purchased equipment from this company, never the less; we sure will have to think twice before buying any equipment from your company (Electrolux Brand) for our any future properties coming up, or even to recommend your brand to any future Hoteliers. We eagerly wait for your response, if this is the kind of service, after sales, your company and brand provide to your customers.Once again we express our regret to have been associated with your brand.

Electrolux totally unresponsive pointing finger at repair co stating they cannot replace unit unless the company deems it unrepairable. Service co is so bad they move at a snails pace. Third visit stated that had never been to the house for a call before. Too many crossed wires. RECOMMENDATION: BUY A KENMORE FROM SEARS!

We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator back in June, 2018. In August 1st, the refrigerator started to act up and stop making any ice or throwing any water. Since it is still under the first year warranty covered by the company, I called Electrolux to have this issue fixed. They have sent five repairs technician from two different service companies to fix this issue and have not fix this yet. Every time a new technician comes to diagnose it, they have to order a part. They have replaced so many parts and still not fixed yet. After three months waiting for technicians and parts to come, I request Electrolux to replace the unit and they rejected the request. They told me that they cant replace it until a technician tells them its non-fixable (the technician will never tell them its non-fixable because hes making money every time he comes to diagnose/repair it). In the meantime, we cant use our product after we paid so much. Electrolux does not stand up for their products, they will have you on and on until you give up and suck it up or until the warranty expires so the problem can be on you.

Their support is super ignorant and useless. We paid their expensive insurance and their unit broke. We are almost 2 months without a working unit and literally have spent close to the same amount in getting our clothes laundered vs. buying a new unit. So frustrating. We have a child that needs sanitized clothes due to a health issue. Their support is so ignorant and do not care. They got a part in and scheduled the first appointment, took almost 1 month. Then the guys got here and said, Oh the part is broken. So you think they would expediate, right? Well no, now we are waiting another month. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT OR EXTENDED SERVICES. HORRIBLE COMPANY.

I was heating up food in the microwave and a spark started to flare in the corner where the metal rack was held up by the plastic hook. It was a good thing that I didnt walk away from the microwave or who knows how large the fire could have gotten. I called the customer care number and because I didnt buy the extended warranty, they could not help me but provide me repair numbers which I would have to pay for. I asked if this kind of thing happens a lot with their products but they said no. Has anyone out there experienced the same thing I have? My appliance model is EI30MH55GSA.I just feel they should cover something like this because its a quality assurance problem that could definitely have led to a bigger problem (house/electrical fire). Why would I pay to repair this microwave when my confidence in their product has definitely wavered? I would prefer to put my money in a different manufacturer and have peace of mind. I regret buying all of their different appliances because most of them have a problem (oven time display doesnt work and refrigerator ice dispenser spits and continue to serve ice after release). We were really excited to buy their products when we bought our house believing we would receive a high end product associated with their costs, but instead we are greatly disappointed with what it really is. Beware and be wise. Do not purchase Electrolux!!!

Bought a kitchen full of Electrolux Products. Ice maker in frig has never work and 6 repair visits that has not changed. Drawer Frig has had the wire harness to the control panel replaced twice. Dishwasher has stopped working 3 times and all the program lights flash. Turning the power off for a day will reset the control panel for awhile. Am sure that wont work forever. Electrolux knows their ice maker design is bad. How many upgrade kits does it take to figure that out? The repair man that Elextrolux sends is never on time. Today he was going to be here between 10:00 and 2:00, arrived at 4:30. Products and service are terrible. When you contact Electrolux for warranty service, they ask you to take a survey and give ratings. If you checked the box to have Electrolux contact you, dont wait too long, they wont be calling. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator - upgrading our current appliances after a remodel. These are the first and last Electrolux items I will ever purchase. The dishwasher had continuous problems with leaking. I had numerous repair companies come out and try to repair the problem - until they told me that the only thing they could do was take the unit to their warehouse, put it up higher and see if they could possibly find the leak - no guarantee. Every technician told me that Electrolux brands are one of the worst to work on. So we got rid of the dishwasher and replaced with another brand. Now it is the refrigerator. I got an EF error code on my display and after unplugging and plugging back in the fridge as the customer service rep at Electrolux instructed me to do, the whole fridge and freezer stopped cooling. This is not the first time I have had to empty my entire fridge and freezer. If you are considering buying Electrolux, read some of the reviews on this thread. They are overpriced and poor quality appliances.

We purchased 6 appliances all Electrolux. We had 2 issues with the microwave door repaired under warranty. The fridge however is a completely different story that never ends. It has been 3 years of repairs and replacement parts but the worst of it all was when one day I dispensed water and ice from the fridge door and while drinking I choked on something. Fortunately for me my husband was here to assist me in dislodging it, and it turned out to be a piece of styrofoam dispensed from the ice maker. I was able to spit it into the sink in bewilderment. We inspected the bin and were perplexed as to where it had come from. After that 3 more pieces of styrofoam were dispensed at different times. We kept inspecting the bin and found a large plastic piece and some wires wrapped around the auger. Many dollars have gone into this ice/water dispenser, mother board, display board and now this styrofoam and choking. Stay very clear from Electrolux. Im sorry we chose this brand just for the induction. The freezer in the bottom we cannot turn off, and the seal around the freezer door does not meet up with the frame leaving the cold air to escape leaving me without a frost FREE freezer and fluctuating temperatures. At times the warm alarm will sound alerting us that the freezer has gone warm and then we need to cut the power on then off to reset it and throw food out that thawed. Now we throw good money after bad, and to add a serious choking incident into the mix is unthinkable. This complaint could be a whole lot different if my husband wasnt at home to help me with a piece of styrofoam. To think a refrigerator is a danger in your home!!!

I have been trying to obtain a glass cooktop. To date... 6 AUG 15... unsuccessful after 3 shipped broken and 1 shipped with incorrectly installed securing brackets. I reside in Hawaii so shipping is a factor. However, Electrolux managed to ship the stove here for sale so I feel they should be able to provide the same service and parts availability. I have opened email dialogue with Electrolux with no result other than a thank you for notifying them of my situation. They have highly rated products but the service is just awful. Bought through Sears a brand new 8 ft gas dryer (EFMG617STT) and it started making a noise right after installation. The installation person told us the noise would go away. Over 3 months the noise turned into a vibration until we couldnt run it. Had signed up for the Electrolux Platinum Star Limited Warranty so called up and they sent out a service repair company (All County Appliance Service) who determined it needed a blower wheel and motor. It has now been 2 weeks without them being able to fix the dryer. My wife has spent more than 10 hours on the phone tracking it down and no-one can tell where the parts are and when they can fix it. It turns out the repair company has a 1 star rating on Yelp and they dont even answer the phone most of the time and when they do, they refer to Electrolux regarding sending the parts. Electrolux (we have talked to 3 different people) say they have many clients except us and we need to wait. When we contacted Sears (which we have 3 times and they hanged up last time) they say we need to contact Electrolux. Never seen anything like this...ever. Especially when you pay $1200 for a top of the line appliance.

First to go was the Dryer first indicated by an error code. Next was their top of the line oven stove Microwave followed by the Dishwasher and not long after came the failure of the Refrigerator. The digital display on the stove is no longer readable. That leaves the Washer which for the life of me I can’t understand why it’s still working. We purchased a washer and gas dryer in June 2017. The washer is ok but the dryer seemed to take longer and longer to dry. The lint screen turns out to be the problem as it does not seal and lets lint get by into the blower. The blower blades get packed full and the safety heat circuits shut the gas off. Appears Electrolux also figured that the lint screen filter was a faulty design and on the new model did a complete redesign!! I will not use the dryer since Electrolux has not designed or manufactured a parts correction and will not sell it to anyone else as it appears to be a fire hazard!

We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems. In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why cant we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didnt scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator. By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. There are too many of us as unsatisfied consumers with the same flawed design refrigerator complaining about Electrolux not taking action on their substandard appliances and for NOT doing the right thing.

Electrolux is not living up to the no lemon clause of their service contract which states that if the same part on an appliance is replaced three times the customer is entitled to a cash settlement or another comparable appliance. This contract is not followed by Electrolux for my washer because they do not maintain the records. I have an email from them which states this. Furthermore, the local service companies they use also have no accurate records. They reuse the same service tickets and do not record the part numbers so it is impossible for the customer to make a claim. I have proof of this as well. My transmission was replaced at least four times. They lie about fixing the machine which is still broken. According to them the washer moving away from the wall and damaging components is normal and operating according to factory specifications. Is this case a candidate for a class action law suit or other action?

Model EIFLW50LIW front load washer. Purchased June 2014. Had required (certified Electrolux) repairman (due to warranty) out several times within the first 12 months. The harness kept shaking loose and tumbler would go off balance and belt popped off. I had to wait a week or two for them to come out and then had to take off from work each time while they fixed it. The last time, they literally had all the parts on my kitchen floor and I asked them why Electrolux just did not send a new machine from the factory. Wasted 5 hours of my day, two repairmen 5 hours and I had to wait for them to come 10 days which meant going over to my mother-in-laws to do laundry. Now 12 months later the belt popped off again but I noticed that the washer was leaking. It revealed severe rubbing on the plastic which was worn through. This unit never made any rubbing noise, clanking and was not out of balance like the issue previously. I called Electrolux and told them that their certified repairmen obviously did something wrong and now it leaks and the harness shakes loose. All they could do for me is give me a break on parts. If your front load washer has belt or harness issues, demand a new one. Repairmen can make Band-Aid fixes only to a poorly manufactured item.

After breaking several plates I decided to call for repair. They wanted me to troubleshoot, which I refused since I have moved nothing since getting the unit. The supervisor then informs me that I will be charged for the service call since the racks that hold the plates vertical are considered cosmetic and not functional and therefore not covered? Really? I dont need those racks to have my dishes cleaned? And apparently there are no actual lists of cosmetic and functional parts. It’s all arbitrary and based on what the company wants. We bought this beautiful refrigerator last year. My husband was taken with the lighting and didnt mind that it was a bit pricey ($3,500). The problem is... it doesnt make enough ice. The ice maker itself is in the top refrigerator area, its a little 7 x 7 box so if I fill a glass with ice, it empties it and it takes 90 minutes to put out another tray. I empty it into zip lock bags during the day as a back up because my husband goes insane every night when he tries to get ice and its empty. We had the ice maker replaced, and the filters changed. Its just too small to keep up. It would be great if you purchase a separate under counter ice maker (at $2,000). We thought because it was an Electrolux, it would be great, we were wrong. Client purchased Microwave range hood model number (ME16H702SES) Serial number (078N7WTJ301913R) approximately 11/25/2015. After approximately 20 hours of use over the period of a year or so the keyboard on the door was nonresponsive. Flashed 12:00 repeatedly but touchpad would not respond. Electrolux Frigidaire, through their automated response system, supplied the name of a appliance repair company, Best Aid Appliances Service (760-494-6444). A few weeks went by and we agreed on a appointment. They said they are free would be $150. And we had to charge us $75 for a diagnosis fee and $75 upon the repair of the microwave. Over the course of a month or so they arrived three times. Each time they were sent a defective part. After the third time they said they would order a new one and they would contact us in two weeks. We never heard from them. We called Frigidaire. They apologized and referred us to another appliance repair company. This company was Michaels Appliance Corporation. Phone number 818-609-0912. Michaels Appliance Repair tech came over. He was very professional and a well informed gentleman. He made three visits, each time Electrolux Frigidaire concessions sent him a defective part. He suggested I need to contact Electrolux Frigidaire and inform them about once again a defective part. He asked me to contact him when Electrolux Frigidaire sent me a new door. The new door arrived. The gentleman came back. We installed the door and once again the touch controls for a non-responsive. Once again we received a defective product or part. After speaking on the phone with Frigidaire Electrolux tech-support they informed me that the product now is out of warranty and they would not take responsibility for any defective parts they sent me prior and they could no longer assist me with the repair of their product. I explained, You have been sending me defective parts for nine months. So we have a product we paid $602 for plus a $75 diagnostic fee and still we do not have a functioning product???

No supervisor was available but the lady I spoke to said she escalated the request and someone would call me within 24 hours. After again receiving no phone call as of today June 25th I called again. This time the lady said I was again mistold. I was now told it would be 3 business days, not 24 hrs.As you can see I can not understand why no one will call me back and my dishwasher has not been replaced/repaired. We have a whole kitchen set of Electrolux Icon appliances. Purchased in 2014. The first to go was the induction cooktop in 2017. We purchased a new one to match the rest of the appliances but the top is very dark and hard to read the display. In August of 2019 the dishwasher leaked and ruined our kitchen island and hardwood flooring. Total bill luckily covered by insurance was $30,000. The dishwasher itself was very poor quality. We had to rinse and scrub our dishes before running through the cycle. We changed brands and new dishwasher much better. Hi Now the refrigerator has rust on the inside on back panel. We’ll need to replace that. Two of the plastic drawers are broken. This will cost approximately $800 after shipping etc because we have to purchase the whole drawer and railing system etc. Outrageous!! These items have been treated very gently, only two people in the household. Very disappointed in the quality of these items.

The main problem is the ice maker. The waterline frequently is clogged, necessitating service repair. The design of the ice receptacle is backwards, so every time you open the freezer, ice falls to the floor of the freezer, making you reach back to remove the ice from the floor of the freezer and the kitchen floor.

I recently assisted a family member in a recent kitchen remodeling project
I recently assisted a family member in a recent kitchen remodeling project that included the selection and purchase of several new appliances. A new gas range was one of three appliances acquired. The Electrolux Icon was selected and purchased as it appeared to be well-made, and loaded with features and desirable accessories. Unfortunately, immediately after the range was installed, the oven failed to operate correctly causing a need for a service call before it could be used the first time. (Timing is everything: The new range was installed days prior to Thanksgiving and when it proved to be not functioning, plans for the holiday had to be adjusted.) Because the Icon was purchased from Sears (no local Mom and Pop appliance store carried the Icon product line nor could order it), Sears was called for repair service. Several days later, the repairman arrived, and soon he made up a list of parts that would need to be replaced. He also advised us that the parts were not available locally and that it would take 10 to 12 days before they were available. This seemed to me to be an excessively long lag time to wait for parts, so after he left, I called Electrolux and spoke with a customer service representative who was very well trained, and very knowledgeable. I learned several facts that all owners of Electrolux MUST consider, especially if the appliances were purchased from Sears. First, DO NOT CALL SEARS FOR SERVICE! Sears contracts out service repair calls to A&E, and, I was told, Electrolux no longer has a business relationship with A&E due to A&Es poor workmanship. Instead, CALL ELECTROLUX and ask for the name of the certified repair shops in your geographical area. Second, choose a repair shop from the list provided by Electrolux. Document, document, document! Once the technician has identified the parts that are needed for repair, get the names of the parts and if possible, the parts numbers. The reason for this suggestion is simple: It is possible that the repair shops parts distributor may have a 10 to 12 day lag time before parts are provided. Not having a functioning appliance for a 2 to 3 week period is excessive, I would suggest. Therefore, with the parts name and number, call Electrolux directly, order the parts, and have them shipped directly to your home address. Schedule the repairs with the service repairman, by all means, but do not be held hostage by a supply chain that does not provide for faster service than the prescribed 10 to 12 days. In the case of our Icon oven, after calling a recommended repair shop, and they had completed their own diagnosis, the part was found to be readily available, and the repair was completed 24 hours later so it was not necessary for the part to be ordered from Electrolux. Interestingly, the Sears/A&E repairman had identified two parts that needed to be replaced whereas the recommended service technician identified a total of one part. Draw your own inference to this fact. Having gone through this experience, I have learned that there is a big difference between an appliance manufacturers sales channels and its back of the office service channels. If possible, try to identify a retailer that not only sells a product, but stands behind it with its own service department (and not contract out its repair services to an A&E type vendor). And remember that just because a retailer can sell a product, there is no reason to infer that they have the ability to service it. Also, the retailers ability to sell an extended service agreement has no bearing on their ability to service the product with qualified technicians.

I have NEVER experienced such an awful product in my entire 37 years of marriage. I purchased my Electrolux 5 burner stove about 4 years ago and have had nothing but disappointment since. The grates on the top stove do NOT come clean. I have tried every product available on the market. Now my racks wont come out of the oven and the temperature doesnt get hot. For $2300 that I paid it is a definite rip off.

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and stove in July, 2014. I thought I was purchasing a reputable brand, so I didnt need to purchase an extended warranty agreement. In January 1, 2017, the refrigerator stopped cooling. I lost items in the freezer as well as the lower refrigerator section. I called a service technician referred by Lowes. He told me the diagnosis and the repair would be as much as a new refrigerator. I called Frigidaire Customer Service. They told me the only thing they could do was offer a discount on the replacement part. I still would need to pay for the labor and the part. I recently retired and cannot afford to do this nor purchase a new refrigerator. I have now been without a refrigerator since January 1, 2017. I had to begin 2 jobs to save up to hopefully purchase a refrigerator. As it stands I will not be able to do that for at least 2 months. I am very disappointed in Frigidaire/Electrolux. In the great scheme of things I may only be one consumer, but even one should matter. I had to use a computer at a school since I cannot afford internet. I left the paperwork at home so I dont have the receipt with me to add to this.

Purchased Electrolux washer/dryer from Home Depot late 2017 (product received in Nov. 2017). Issues started soon after purchase with the dryer, it was clogging with lint in the blower motor. Not even sure how this was happening, since these are lint making machines. Service came out and had no options on how to prevent this from occurring. Again other than to contact servicing and have them clean it out. Basically they take the machine apart to do this, not a job for ordinary folk. After speaking with Electrolux, and informing them of this continuing issue. Their response is to continue calling for warranty/servicing. The big question was what if this issue persists beyond the one year manufacturing warranty, Electrolux response... “purchase extended warranty”. Are you kidding me!!! That’s when I contacted Home Depot head office. Their response to this issue was much of the same. I can’t believe either one of these entities could live up to their product (Electrolux) or service (Home Depot). This issue should resolved by a replacement or a full refund.Things to keep in mind, these service requests take up time during working hours cause warranty company doesn’t work after hours or weekends. So we have to take time off work each and every time a service is requested. Other option is to cut my losses and dump these machine and buy new ones. Even after a year of ownership. Extremely disappointed with both Electrolux and Home Depot Canada.

Purchased an Electrolux dishwasher in June of 2014. Have never really been happy with the response of the digital controls, but since we paid almost $1000 figured I would have to grin and bear it. Had to have a service last year because of error code .30. Tech explained that this very seldom happens, but he fixed it and went on his way. Everything was okay until about three weeks ago when the same code came up and you could hear something like water running in the machine. Called repair and they evaluated and advised that repair would be almost $500. At this point I have almost paid 2/3 of the cost of the machine again! Contacted Electrolux and gave them all the info; the repair service furnished to them what would be necessary to repair and the cost of repair.Electrolux is investigating and will get back to me. In the meantime, I have 17 people coming for Thanksgiving with no dishwasher. The service tech indicated this is just representative of any appliance you purchase now. Where did pride in a quality product go? If for no other reason, we need to get manufacturing back in our country in hopes of a different quality outcome. Bottom line: Can you intervene with the manufacturer, which in this case is Electrolux, to help consumers like me?

Purchased second most expensive dryer from Electrolux’s assortment. Less than 10 months the dryer started making a terrible sound. A technician came out twice unable to fix. Essentially requiring to replace all internal parts. Electrolux customer service department is filled with incompetent individuals that do not understand the meaning of customer service. Each person I spoke with, were not solution oriented or the slightest bit empathetic to the issue(s) at hand. I emailed the head of appliances in North America (Alan Shaw) in hopes he could have an individual or team to assist with the issue. I was contacted by a horrendously rude woman (Rita **) who was curt and not once apologized for the inconvenience. She offered a 20% discount on an extended warranty. Since then I emailed the CEO of all Electrolux worldwide and have very little confidence he or anyone else in company will be accommodating or offer any resemblance of customer service. DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS.
