We have already spent at least 20 hours following every Electrolux procedure to the letter, regardless of how inane the reasoning only to finally be denied a solution. It is the same story about the defective ice makers they designed and installed in thousands of refrigerators a few years back. Bottom line - We would pay for parts but since the ice maker cant be fixed there is nothing we can do for you. Yes we bought $6000 worth of Electrolux products when remodeled our kitchen and they made a defective product but its on us. Thank you very much. They said they dont care about negative Internet reviews because only unhappy people post - not happy ones. Brilliant! So, we vote with our wallet and words. Never buy an Electrolux or any brand by that company and tell as many people as possible. So, when they hire a consultant to find out why the stock is down maybe they will discover these communications and determine that it does matter to try to protect rational consumer relationships.

I have two Electrolux washing machines, model EIFLW50LIW0 purchased in August 2012. Both have issues, but one in particular has been serviced 6 times for the same problem. The service warranty and customer service is appalling. They continually want me to purchase an extended warranty which I did after two years. Now the warranty is up, the problem is ongoing and they want me to purchase a new one. Im replacing it and when the other one goes, I will replace that one as well. Stay away.

Very expensive French door model purchased almost four years ago. Problems with the icemaker from almost day one. Repairman needed almost every six months. Right now, it functions, but is very NOISY - grinds when trying to make ice. I learned too late from other reviews that the icemaker never worked on the wave/touch model and there seems to be nothing the manufacturer can or will do.

This Range/Oven had all the features I was looking for. Besides looking great, the range has a fast boil feature which saves a lot of time. The oven is convection and has a roast mode which was high on my must have feature list. Oven consistently cooks evenly. Overall this Range/Oven is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for this appliance.

I bought a chest freezer from Electrolux and it broke within 6 days. And then I called right away to get it replaced and they only do repairs. So they told me I had to make an appointment to get a repair but they would get back to me in five days to do so because they didnt have any availability. A week and a half later I called and they said they were still waiting on service (after they put me on a brief hold for two hours). I told the lady I wanted an update the next day and she never called. So I called back the next day – still nothing and still waiting on service. I bought it from Home Depot and that is the second appliance I bought from home depot not only did I have problems with but customer service gave me problems. I am a contractor. I will not buy so much as a drywall screw from home depot. And I will not purchase or install an Electrolux application for myself or anyone else. Absolute garbage and a sorry excuse for a company and ignorant customer service.

Purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator Model #EW288S715A. Ice maker stopped working about 6 months after install. Electrolux tried and send us a new refrigerator. Within a few months the ice maker went again. Electrolux said they would sell us another new one for 40% off the retail price. Its a good thing we didnt do that deal - I have since learned that the refrigerator that they would have sold us would have had the same problem. So no ice-maker in a $4000 CDN appliance and after a few years an error message appeared on the panel.Found out that the problem with the ice maker has now caused more serious problems with the guts of the refrigerator from water damage caused by poor insulation that will cost us almost $900 CDN and will probably fail again in the near future. Electrolux know this is a problem but are not reaching out to their customers to tell them what to do - basically the company has stuck their heads in the sand hoping that purchasers of this product dont get together and go after them. I am working on starting a class action suit. Electrolux is one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world and are abusing their clients with incredibly bad designed products. Stay away from Electrolux. I was told that Bosch makes a fairly good refrigerator.

We built a new home and purchased all new appliances in 2009. We bought an Electrolux French Door Refrigerator and a 30 Double Convection Wall Oven. The first thing to go was the panel on the wall oven. Then the Ice Maker. Twice. Both under warranty fortunately. Then the French Door had to be replaced because the magnet at the bottom of the door kept sticking and we had to pull on the door so hard to get it to open that the door split open. Luckily we were good friend with our Appliance Sales folks and they got an Electrolux Sales Guy to give us a new door. Now the ovens dont work. Started with the lower oven not coming up to temperature. Lets not even talk about either of the temp oven probes which are so badly designed they cant tell the difference between the oven temp and the food temp, so they either turn off the oven to keep warm before your food is cooked, or they cook at the temp you tried to set for the food. Dont think 140 for beef is going to cook anything. Anyway, back to the lower oven. Oven panel says one temp, but gauge set in the oven says much lower. Then the upper oven started doing the same thing. Had a tech look at it, and he asked if I had just run the cleaning cycle. When I said yes, his response was Dont run a cleaning cycle before a Holiday! Meaning that the oven problems happen during a cleaning cycle. Anyway, both oven liners have buckled and are touching the heating elements, causing them to ground out. I need two oven liners, two heating elements, one relay panel, two guys and four hours of labor to repair by oven. Total $2,400 for an oven I paid $3,600 for 5 years ago. You would think you would get more than 5 years of an appliance. Then the French Door went again. This time its the major electrical panel, so now that another $500 service and part repair. Is it worth writing to Electrolux?

I have had a new $950 dryer that the blower is out on. I have only had the machine for 2 months. They won’t replace the machine. After town ninths, the machine should be replaced and not worked on. If I had wanted a refurbished machine which this will be once they start replacing parts, I would have bought one and saved the money… NO help from Electrolux except parroting the warranty. We purchased a top of the line Electrolux gas range in January. Our intention was to have it installed at our cottage in May, (which we did do with a licensed service company). Since it was installed we have had problems with the double burner. It turns on with a small explosion and when it does light, it does not have flame all around the burner. The service man attempted to repair the problem but gave up and told us to contact Electrolux to have one of their warranty approved service companies to look at this range. I called Electrolux and received the names of three service companies. One only worked on electric ranges, one stopped doing warranty work the week previous, and the other one refused to travel to my location as we live out of the town limits. When I called Electrolux back, they advised me to find a service man that would work on our unit and have them complete the repairs and send them a copy of the bill and they would then forward a cheque to cover all of the repairs costs. I contacted my original service man and he agreed to take another look at the problem. Which he did. He ascertained that there is a manufacturing defect with that burner. I have now been on the phone for 35 minutes listening to the message of how important my call is to them. My impression so far? They may stand behind their product, but only to wave goodbye as it leaves the factory. This is the last Electrolux appliance I will EVER buy!

I purchased a Front loader Electrolux brand washer and dryer on February 19 from Home Depot for a Presidents Day sale. I was given a delivery date on March 3. Four days before they were supposed to deliver, Electrolux called me and asked if they could deliver on March 31, because my dryer was back ordered and they would only deliver them together. I told them that was very inconvenient because I had no other washer and dryer and I had a 6 month old baby. I asked them what I should do. They told me to call Home Depot. Home Depot was helpful, they said they would reimburse me $300 the cost it would be for laundry service. On March 28, I called Electrolux to make sure they were delivering my washer/dryer on the 31st. They told me that again my dryer was backordered and they would not be delivering it until May 16. They said there was nothing they could do that I would have to contact Home Depot for any help. I asked if they were planning on just not calling me and letting me sit around all day waiting for my delivery to not happen and she said, Well, we try and contact our customers but we dont always get to everyone. Needless to say, Im fuming angry and I am going to try and cancel my order and find something else.

Purchased a new Electrolux Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer in 2011. A year after purchase the refrigerator started breaking down. First the icemaker, then cooling/freezing, then the ice maker again. The unit was determined to be a lemon. Electrolux agreed to replace the refrigerator, and assist with repair cost. They replaced the refrigerator, and took the old one. When we asked for assistance with the cost of repair they demanded the serial/model number sticker and the original bill of sale. They were given both for the replacement. A year later the replacement refrigerator developed a pinhole in the back and began leaking water. We have now been dealing with getting a replacement for six months. At first they said they could find a replacement in our area. The appliance store that replaced the first one has a new one in their showroom. Then they said they would refund the money spent but demanded the invoice/bill of sale. We did not purchase the second refrigerator they replaced it. We do not have a bill of sale. Now they are requesting letter stating the problem, and that I take the serial/model plate from the inside of the refrigerator. When I said it is unlikely that I will be able to get it off in one piece, the representative said she knows that. All correspondence we have had with them contained the model number including the last letter on June 4, 2015. Yet, I still have to do the impossible to move to the next step. I am afraid the next step will be just another road block.

Our Electrolux range now 4 years old has been plagued with problems. Wave control replaced twice, self-cleaning usage has twice fried the controls on back of range. We are being quoted $1200 in new parts plus labor to repair, money up front and no guarantee. Obviously we will be scrapping this piece of junk and buying another brand. Electrolux has now offered us 70% off another model but wont advise what model or price level. They really assume no responsibility for their products. We are also discussing the matter with a lawyer as both Electrolux and repair outlets are aware of the continuing problems but are taking responsibility for them. Our last technician also advised our range has a heat shield plate missing from it but that is my problem not theirs. I will also be contacting my home builder to advise them of our ongoing issues with Electrolux products.

I am not happy at all with our purchase! Was told by technician who came out to check them that I needed to shut my cold water down so we could get warm water wash? Never heard of such a thing! So we put coats in and it shuffles them until the washer is out of balance! The dryer is another problem? We put 3 bath towels and hand and washcloths in and the kitchen towels? Two years ago bought 4 appliances from Electrolux and all are the worst quality products I have ever owned. The Microwave has been serviced 4 times, the door shattered and the Warranty repair person broke the vent and he said it was not his problem as Electrolux stand behind it. The refrigerator cost $3600 had to be replaced for rust, the stove had sharp edges around the components and they had to send a man to file the edges in my home. The dishwasher simply does not wash the dishes and often simply stays on during the drying cycle. Customer service is polite, but does not have the ability to stand behind their product, so essentially there is no service or recourse for issues. I write this to warn you from buying this companys products.

I purchased the Electrolux 32 Built in Freezer and Fridge in June 2016... after remodeling my kitchen and buying all new appliances. I decided to spend a little more for the built in freezer/fridge... what a big mistake... HUGE!! After 3 weeks, my Built in Freezer quit working. I contacted Electrolux and they sent a technician out 5 days later. The technician told us he would contact Electrolux. After waiting over almost two weeks the repairman came back out with what he thought was a fix. Unfortunately, for us, it caused the freezer to climb temperatures that were worse than before. We called Electrolux again, and they sent the same company back out to do the repair. Once again... that did not work. Once again, I contacted Electrolux. They sent out the repairman again, it was fixed by the technician who said, Im pretty sure this fixed it. Sadly, it failed again. So once again, I called. It was fixed again and worked for almost 2 months... only to find that again, I had soft ice cream and meats. Once again, I call and I am not happy. After all this and being told over and over (as I now find this seems typical for their customer service) is the repairman must deem the repair unrepairable in order for them to replace the appliance. Once I finally had another technician to my home, he indeed said that the repair was deemed unrepairable, and told Electrolux the same.Once I called Electrolux back and told them this, they said even though he deemed it unrepairable, our IT guy did not, so we are requiring him to repair it. So once again, I have gotten the run around from Electrolux. They came and repaired it now 5 times. (I called them today so it will be 6.) I have lost frozen goods, twice and now... I will end up losing frozen foods again... because its currently not working. My freezer is now only 3 months old. This is unbelievable to me. I based my decision on what my appliance company said about their refrigerator/freezer and sadly, I am hugely disappointed. I have never, ever had an experience this awful. As a matter of fact, I have never, ever written a complaint. Unfortunately, I had to write my experience to make sure the next buyer was savvy enough to find these reviews helpful with their next decision. I will never ever buy a product that has the name Electrolux on it after this experience.

My husband and I redid our kitchen 5 years ago, & we were so excited to purchase the Electrolux 36 range & French door fridge as our appliances. We bought the extended warranty plan offered through Warrantech, since these are pricey appliances. We felt that they would last us for many years. Fast forward 5 years later, our range works only a few months out of the year, takes weeks to months to repair each time, and was red-tagged by the gas company on one occasion because the design flaw which causes the frequent repairs causes it to become a bomb in the kitchen. It once exploded our oven door clean open when I preheated it. Despite being repaired 3 times for the same issue, (pilot located too close to burner assembly causes burner assembly to blister open. Often just causes the pilot to be blown out instead of light, but sometimes resulting in a huge build up of gas before ignition, i.e.: bomb in the kitchen), Electrolux, through Warrantech, refused to replace our very expensive appliance. They refused to replace it because it could be fixed, ignoring the pattern of the same issue occurring every year, the enormous danger of the design flaw, & the length of time it took to repair. The part was always backordered, one would assume because they were having this issue with many other ranges. The range has now been discontinued. Electrolux also had the gall to tell us if we had bought our extended warranty through them, they would have replaced the oven after the 3rd repair. They suggested that we purchase another extended warranty through them once ours ran out. Well, that warranty ran out in Dec. 2016. In Sept., 2016, the oven had needed the same repair for the 3rd time. That repair lasted until February of 2017. Two months after our warranty ran out, the same issue occurred for the 4th time. My husband and I cannot see spending another $500 for an Electrolux warranty, when the company is clearly not standing behind their product, interested in customer satisfaction or safety. We have ordered 2 replacement parts on our own, & will attempt to fix this issue ourselves whenever it occurs. We own a dangerous, $6,000 and counting, Electrolux lemon of an oven. I implore you not to buy Electrolux appliances, especially the 36 E36GF76JPS2. Are there others of you out there like me? Lets start a class action lawsuit. Im also going to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. This is unacceptable.

We have an entire kitchen outfitted with their top line appliances since May 2010. The cooktop hybrid no longer works and requires a $800.00 repair, the wall oven is missing screws, the dishwasher was replaced in the first 6 months and has had 3 repairs since. Today it is Jan 2016 and my dishwasher is broken. Angry yes. I will never buy another Frigidaire owned company product. I owned GE previously and never has an issue. Electrolux avoids their repairs by allowing third parties fix things they are not trained for. Third party repairs do not remove a broken cooktop. The homeowner must do it in order for them to repair. It is insane to think the repairman will charge you money just to write notes, not touch the cooktop and expect you to pay $200.00 for walking in your door. I am so disgusted with Electrolux. I now must shop for a new cooktop. I paid $2500.00 in 2010. I am going back to a gas stove because It is more reliable than any fancy oven that has a digital electric panel that malfunctions.

We purchased a new French door refrigerator with an external ice dispenser 4 years ago. The only problem is that the ice cubes have black circles on the bottom. Electrolux has been here every year since to fix/replace the tray in which the ice cubes are made, as apparently the metal from the tray attaches itself to the bottom of the ice cubes. I asked if they were possibly toxic and the reply was that this was not a known problem! They have offered me a 50% discount on a new refrigerator. Right. Like Im going to spend $2000 to get a working icemaker. What is most surprising is that they do not seem to care at all, and of course speaking to anyone who might be concerned is impossible. Have had my refrigerator since February. Now on its 3rd service call. Thank goodness I took out the extended warranty. Personally Electrolux can come get this piece of!! Two for the ice maker and one for the freezer, would not keep cold. Needless to say the whole back coil needs to be replaced and the refrigerator is only 6 months old. This will be the last time I listen to an appliance salesperson. Should have gone with my gut, but the salesperson was really pushing Electrolux and how long the company has been in business, etc. Whirlpool, Maytag, Samsung, LG anything but Electrolux!!Updated on 11/27/2016: When shopping for a complete kitchen set of new appliances, sales person kept recommending Electrolux. Spent $6800, Icemaker broke within first 4 months. Had to take off work to get it fixed. Now same problem with ice maker 7 months later. Also after having refrigerator 6 months bottom freezer coil unit had to be replaced, freezer would not freeze anything - then dishwasher does not dry dishes even with drying agent. Microwave/convection oven shorted out on Thanksgiving day after first use of convection oven. Have had these appliances since 1/14/16. Electrolux should be ashamed. Luckily I purchased extended warranty for refrigerator and dishwasher so Im good for three years with those. The quality of product is very poor compared to my 13 year old appliances I had. Very, Very Disappointed especially how much money I spent. Will look at reviews before I purchase anything else. Electrolux should pay me for my time off from work having to get these repairs taken care of.

I have been verbally abused by this technician whos name is David. He confronted me over the phone, told me to find another technician as he found out that I made a complaint about him before. He did not do a great job last two times. He basically told me that he does not have time to do a charity job! I have been offered a goodwill warranty service but in Davids interpretation, it is a charity job for him. This is not the first time he made this comment, he said it before on his second visit, mentioning that I get the service for free and so I should spent some money to do rest of the job or do it by myself! So he walked off without testing the product. So the dishwasher still doesnt work. He was very abrupt, rude, not listening to me, and talked on top of me which was really depressing. Now the unit has completely shut down. We had a repair person look at it who says all the circuit panels need replacing at $900 plus $800 labour. The stove cost approx $2300 and three years later we are facing a $1700 repair that is not guaranteed to fix the problem. This happened within a year as well but we called one day after the 1 yr warranty expired so of course they wont fix it. Now 2 yrs later the otr is not working. Theres no power in it. Dont know what happened. Basically, dont buy electrolux!

Almost from the beginning this refrigerator has had problems. The ice maker continues to be non functioning as well as the interior lights. Customer Service is good at one thing saying Im sorry. I have put more money into this appliance than any other I have purchased over the past 30+ years. I purchased a new switch hoping that would resolve the lights not working, however it looks as though the board is defective. In order to fix the ice maker and the circuit board, we are looking at approximately 1500.00.At this point, I am better off to purchase another refrigerator, obviously not this brand. You spend more money on quality products and this has been one time where this wasnt the case. If you look at all the reviews, Electrolux obviously needs to go back to the drawing board because consumers arent happy and the issues seem to be the same i.e. ice maker. This refrigerator is only about 6 years old and when you spend 3500 you expect it be in good working condition for many years to come.

Its a great looking fridge, however, we had many issues with it. The water in the filter freezes, causing all of the functions in the door not to work. Freezing everything placed in the veggie drawers. The ice maker works intermittently, and now only the crushed worked. Ice maker died after about one year. I really like it, but not worth the high price.

I really have no complaints regarding my front load Electrolux washer but I do have a complaint about the extended warranty! The clip which locks the front load door of the washer broke in half. I called Electrolux on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. They said they could not get a repair person until Friday, Sept. 11th. They gave me the name and phone number of the repair service who would be coming to repair the washer. I called them three days prior to the service call and told them what was wrong with the washer as I did not want to wait another week for them to tell me they had to order the part and to give them my cell phone number since I would be at work when they called to confirm. I got home late Thursday nite and there was a message confirming the service call for Friday. I called, left a message with my cell phone number and asked that they give me a time frame for the service call and again explained what was wrong with the washer. She said she would have to call me back and let me know if they could get the part. She called back and, of course, they did not have and could not get the part! I was very annoyed since I purposely called them to let them know the problem, as that was the only problem with the washer. I admit that I was irritated, and did raise my voice somewhat, and was told they would not come at all since I was already aggravated! I called Electrolux, they told me that there was nothing that I could do or they could do and that I will have to wait for another repairman (another week). And that if they did not want to order the part in advance that was their choice. That they could come look at the machine, decide what is wrong and I would have to wait if they do not have the part.

We ordered an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes. We waited three weeks for it to arrive. The installer turned it on and it flooded water onto our wood floor. Installer stated that a new one would have to be reordered. One month later, a second Electrolux was delivered--same thing. We asked for it to be removed and our credit card credited immediately. Installer stated this is the fourth Electrolux this week with this problem, yet they keep selling them.

I purchased a Frigidaire electric range 2 1/2 years ago. The oven suddenly died. After removing the back of the oven I found that the Electrolux board and wiring harness had arced and shorted out my oven. There is no evidence as to what caused the arc. I was advised by a technician not to replace the parts as it would likely happen again. I now have to purchase a new range and it will not in any way be manufactured by Electrolux

We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report.
We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report. Our 2.5 year old appliances have had 10 service calls in this time frame. Problem is now that they are out of warranty, the service calls, and the cost of parts have become astronomical. The refrigerator filters cost $60 each. New shelf $40. Ice maker replacement part $200. Range control panel $535.51, range display board $211.79, plus service call $125+/-. None of these repairs are guaranteed, in fact the range needs these 2 parts for the second time. If you can find a service repair company that even wants to work on these lemons. Most of service companies refuse to work on these appliances. They do not want to accept responsibility for failed repairs. The service repairman basically told me that the repair will fail again. He implied that I should junk the 2.5 year old range ($2,800 new). Think Electrolux customer service will be any help? Think again. Their purpose in life, is to 1) Sell you more stuff like extended warranties. 2) Make sure that you talk to no one else at the company. 3) Listen to your problem, sympathize and give you nothing that will solve the problem. If you ask to be transferred to a supervisor, they transfer you to the next cubicle to someone like Therese (one of the rudest people you will ever encounter), Thomas, Stephanie, or Bridget. All of these people will tell you that they are important (BS like special assist to CEO) but they are dead ends. My advice stay away from Electrolux, Frigidaire, and if the sale is approved GE appliances. Electrolux is in the process of buying GE appliance. My advice, call the store that you bought the appliances from. That is how I got the microwave replaced. Dont be afraid to write these reviews. Use social media to help spread the word about these awful appliances and the horrible company is... Please, please, please, be a good friend and neighbor and help get the word out.

We bought a counter depth french door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. From the very beginning we have had trouble with the ice maker. They repaired it twice and it still did not work. The last time my husband called, they said they needed to order a part and we never heard from them again. We finally unhooked the water to the fridge. When Sears sent their extended warranty offer, I wrote them a letter and told them that I would not buy their warranty due to the fact that the refrigerator was not repaired by Electrolux, and Sears did not assist us in any form, so why would I purchase an extended warranty. Now, the seal on the freezer failed. We have never gotten any satisfaction from Electrolux or Sears concerning our refrigerator. So today when I went out to buy my new cooking range, I absolutely ruled out Electrolux. I will never do business or buy an electrolux product again.

Now a couple years later the same problem is starting again with failing bearings and also the LCD screen quit working shortly after it was fixed under warranty.

We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world. Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children. Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Lets just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

Had a Dishwasher and Microwave go out on me over the holidays. I seem to be burning out dishwashers at an alarming rate, the computer goes bad or motor goes out, leaks, not having good luck. So getting away from Kitchen Aid and Whirlpool and seeing the problems the new Samsung was having (people pushing chairs up against the door to keep it closed) I decided to go with this dishwasher as it was rated number one on some testing something on another site. They glorified the thing as god's gift to the dishwasher community, so okay. Ordered from Lowes, took it home and installed it. The inside is a little smaller than my last Kitchen Aid so that takes some getting used to as I like to stick car size things inside, huge pots for making spaghetti for 20 people like five gallon stuff, doesn't fit. Regular home, will not have a problem with this dishwasher, I over do it. It cleans better than any of the dishwashers I have had in the past. zed Glasses come out cleaner or more clear, well everything you can see it, I am surprised. Drying kinda sucks. I had turned off my water softener to fill fish tanks and if you use hard water, it does not dry the dishes very well. Turned on the softener, use Jet Dry and it does okay sometimes I got to shake a few things to get them dry when I take it out. The controls is something else I don't like. Press the start button and nothing indicates you made it happen. However if you put your ear to it, it makes a little beep beep sound, very faint. Then you close it and does a little faint song as to say its going and you know its going. For the amount of money I paid for this dishwasher and how well it cleans, I am willing to overlook the small things and I don't mind drying one or two things by hand, but others might see it differently. I like it and its doing good, so 5 stars. One more thing, I do BBQ and no other dishwasher can get some of the meat pans clean. I usually wash them in the dishwasher just to make it easier to do it by hand. This dishwasher actually cleans the pans first time out. Makes me wonder how long my dishes are going to last getting blasted clean like that, but I like the less work that is involved.

My Electrolux double wall ovens - I keep getting an F11 error code. Call electrolux... They are just out of warranty. Apparently it is a $530. part, another $200 plus for the repairman. Diagnosis is vague. This is a you should start by replacing this situation. Unacceptable. We should be able to expect a reasonable problem-free lifespan for these major purchases. Its used twice a week (regularly) and intensely used twice a year (for the usual special occasions). This company doesnt even have a website where you can at least do some of the information-gathering yourself. And the script of the service desk is... We are anxious to please our customers. Can I call you by your first name? I will try to put you in touch with someone who can help you.... And I hope you are satisfied with the answers you received today. Nothing technical. No solution. In short ZERO service. When the repairman contacted Electrolux (from our home), they read what the error code said off a script and didnt ask any other symptoms. That did not give either of us any confidence as they they did say to start with that repair and see if it works. START with a $700 plus repair AND SEE IF THAT WORKS??? These were $3600 ovens, and they are 15 mos old. Completely unacceptable. My fight has started.....

We purchased a Frigidaire side by side less than 2 years ago. Yes, I understand it is out of warranty, but when it caught on fire this weekend at 10 at night, I called a repairman to come look at it. Our model is FFHS2611LB4. We were informed that the water line was not sealed correctly at the factory. Also, the access hole is directly over the relay overload. I spent over $200 for the repair which is not much considering what could have happened if we were not home. Just got off the phone with customer service and of course they will not do anything. Was offering to give us 1/2 off on parts. That doesnt really help when it has already been fixed. I will not buy this brand again. Faulty merchandise and poor customer relations.

Our Family purchased the Front Loading Washer and Dryer, just under five years ago. To be honest we were happy with the set for the first three or so years. Then we started to notice a Gas smell in our Laundry Room. We had our local gas company out a couple times to try to locate the problem. They could not trace the source? (We always were throwing a load in the washer or dryer, as we were leaving to run errands, work, or whatever). So we never could figure it out for the longest time. Come to find out, while the dryer was drying our clothes, Natural Gas was leaking not from the gas lines, connectors, or something that you would normally think! But from actually around the Drum while the clothes were drying. (Thank God we had good ventilation. Who knows what could have happened) After determining the source, we finally had a Electrolux Authorized Service Person to come out. Come to find out it is a $500 Part, that we have to order and then when it finally arrives, they can come back and pay additional fees to pull it out of the tight fitting Laundry Room Upstairs. At that point we were very upset with the Service Man, who then explained how Electrolux has become a company of ill reputation. To date the washer and dryer now sit in the middle of our garage floor, sacrificing our Indoor parking. We just went out and purchased a Brand New LG Front Loading Washer and Dryer Set. We had attempted to try to get some sort of arrangement made with Electrolux, but was met with the same stone walls everyone else here on this board seems to. Pay money, pay money, go away or do not pay anymore money, but go away. I am hoping that there some class action lawsuits filed and then and only then will they be forced to eat their praised product lines.

This is my second Electrolux appliance. The first one I got was a built-in double wall oven. Had a lot of problems with the oven. After a year, they replaced the oven. All has been good with the oven now, very happy with it. Needed a new dishwasher so I went back to Electrolux - it was 3/16/09. I keep having the same problem with it. I get an error code (Er01) leak detector. I have put so much money into this dishwasher, and it still does not work. They have replaced everything that they could inside the dishwasher. The service people said that there is nothing for them to do anymore. The service people said Electrolux should just replace the dishwasher like they did my oven. Its been over a year now and most of the time I do not have a working dishwasher. The time Im spending doing my dishes and the time Im on the phone with them is driving me nuts. I just want a dishwasher to do my dishes not me. I did not buy it to look good, and thats about all it can do. I never thought about taking photos when they were working on it. I started off being so nice. Now I just have one big headache after another each time I try to get them to repair my dishwasher. They keep telling me they are working on it, but all it does is cost me more and more and it still does not work.

We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator back in June, 2018. In August 1st, the refrigerator started to act up and stop making any ice or throwing any water. Since it is still under the first year warranty covered by the company, I called Electrolux to have this issue fixed. They have sent five repairs technician from two different service companies to fix this issue and have not fix this yet. Every time a new technician comes to diagnose it, they have to order a part. They have replaced so many parts and still not fixed yet. After three months waiting for technicians and parts to come, I request Electrolux to replace the unit and they rejected the request. They told me that they cant replace it until a technician tells them its non-fixable (the technician will never tell them its non-fixable because hes making money every time he comes to diagnose/repair it). In the meantime, we cant use our product after we paid so much. Electrolux does not stand up for their products, they will have you on and on until you give up and suck it up or until the warranty expires so the problem can be on you.

Purchased brand new front load ElFLS60LTI Electrolux washer and dryer July 2015. Washer leaking from underneath and called service repair company. Back metal wheel with rubber belt had continually been cutting away into the back of the drum and carved out a hole where water leaked out. There was plenty of shredded strips of the rubber belt at bottom of the unit due to half of the belt eroding away as it was carved into the back of drum with the metal wheel. Not worth money to repair. I took photos and called Electrolux customer service and asked for a discount toward a new washer or even a used washer since this one was in use for only 2.5 years. The answer was NO. They suggested I shop around for deals. They did offer me 50% off any parts. Nothing toward labor. So I might as well buy a new washing machine. How about offering me 50% off a washer since this clearly was a defect. Anyway, I will never purchase an Electrolux product again.

We purchased a refrigerator/freezer with an automatic ice maker in the door on 12/9/2013. On October 6, 2014 we needed to have the water dispenser serviced as it ran by itself every minute all evening and damaged a big area as it ran into the basement, ruining ceiling tiles. A service person replaced the dispenser module which was under warranty. This morning when we got up we found that it had again been doing the same thing and again ran into the basement damaging more ceiling tiles. Now the real problem is that Electrolux cannot find a technician that will service our area and are waiting for a call back. We found a company that would service Electrolux products but they are checking to see if they are an authorized dealer. How long do we wait for service or for a call back? I will never buy an Electrolux appliance again. The same part shouldnt break after 8 months.

I wish I read reviews on this website before I bought an Electrolux appliance. I bought their induction range for around $1700 last September for part of a kitchen upgrade. The range stopped working by started a beeping sound with error code 23 on 7/20/16. On 7/25, 5 days after I called, a technician came from a local repair shop called Ago Appliance Repair, he diagnosed the problem and gone in 5 minutes. Two weeks later, he showed up, replacing the generator, error code changed from 23 to 21. Three weeks later, not to mention with my endless calls with Ago and Electrolux customer service, the technician came back replacing the board, didnt fix the problem. Another three weeks later, the technician came back again replacing another board, did not fix the problem. Another two weeks passed, I have been calling almost every day because Ago keeps telling me they dont have any update but you are welcomed to call tomorrow. Im like an idiot sitting in the dark and wondering should I call or should I not because it doesnt matter, they wont give you any solution. The technician literally told me on all his four visits that replacing the whole unit is the only solution, and he said that Electrolux should grant that instead of wasting everyones time and money, he knew from his experience this is irreparable. I called Electrolux four times during the past 10 weeks, telling them what the technician said to me to replace a new unit, they denied and didnt offer any solution. This has been more than frustrating as if you dont know what to do and what to expect next. Id be really appreciated if anyone can provide any constructive suggestions.

I recently purchased an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes on Thursday March
I recently purchased an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes on Thursday March 16, 2014. It had been on display in their cabinet section and discounted accordingly. When I got the unit home and went to install it I found the discharge hose that connects to the garbage disposer was not in the unit. I also found the mounting brackets were missing. I called Electrolux customer service and explained the issue. A gentleman named Jerry took our call. We told him we needed the parts right away as we had kitchen installers at our home. We asked for the parts to be shipped overnight so we could finish installation on Friday. He said it could not be done - company policy states that missing parts would be shipped only in 3-7 days. If we paid for the parts and overnight shipping we would have them Saturday. This was originally a $1500 dishwasher and we felt we were being treated poorly. We were on the phone for about an hour and I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told none were available and to call back tomorrow. Totally frustrated, we paid for the parts and next day shipping via credit card. No parts arrived Friday, no parts arrived Saturday, and no parts arrived Sunday. We finally received the parts on Monday. Much to our frustration, the hose was wrong. Jerry had shipped the hose that was attached to the dishwasher, not the hose that attaches to the garbage disposal. So, on the phone again with Electrolux. The next customer service person could not identify the hose I needed and said she would have to speak to engineering. She called back later in the day to state they identified the hose, she would credit me for all the missing parts and overnight shipping. She said she needed to transfer me to another department which would handle shipping me the correct parts. Upon transferring the call, the connection dropped. 2 hours of effort lost. I called back in and spoke to another customer service agent who was not helpful, could not find any notes after I explained to yet another person at the company what had happened. He states that because it was a floor model I would have to pay again for the parts. AT THIS POINT I LOST IT. 4 plus hours on the phone with Electrolux and I was back at the starting point I experienced Thursday. Is this the service they provide to customers buying their products?? We are in the process of selecting another dishwasher, 2 wall ovens, a stove, and refrigerator for our new kitchen. We are also selecting appliances for our in-law suite and a rental home. Needless to say, given our experience, the new appliances will not be Electrolux. Adding pain to this experience, no invoice was provided with the parts shipment!! Does anyone at Electrolux care????

We purchased an Electrolux French door refrigerator five years ago. It is now dead, as a problem with the ice maker caused the back of the refrigerator to completely rust out. I researched the issue and saw that this has happened dozens or hundreds of times with Electrolux refrigerators. I tried to get some satisfaction from the CEO, Alan Shaw, but he would not take my call, hiding behind a woman named Rita. They did offer me a 25% rebate on a new Electrolux product, but I would think since it is a known problem, and the unit only lasted 5 years, I would get a rebate of 65-75%. I was shocked when Rita told me that Electrolux refrigerators only last for 5-7 years. I don’t think I have ever had a refrigerator last less than 20 years. I have a new slogan for Electrolux - “buy an Electrolux - they only last 1/2 as long as the competition. Obviously, I will never buy another Electrolux product and I would encourage you to avoid them at all costs. They have no interest in customer satisfaction.

I have had the Electrolux dishwasher less than three years and it has failed twice. The first time cost $200 after just over a year of service and now with a pending repair bill of over $700. That would make the dishwasher cost over $2,300 for less than three years of service. The Electrolux customer service said it was my problem and they wouldnt fix it.

I purchased an Electrolux Wave Touch Standard Depth model EW28BS85KS5 a little over two years ago. After less than a year, the Temp Perfect Drawer seized up and could not be opened. I worked with Electrolux rep to get the repair and all was covered under warranty. Either while I was waiting for repair or shortly after the repair was completed, I was contacted by and ESA representative and offered, for a price of course, an extended warranty. The representative was fully aware of the issues I had with the drawer. Since my confidence level in product quality was now low and believing the extended warranty was as comprehensive as the one year warranty, I purchased the extension. It has been a little more than a year and the drawer has the exact same issue. I contacted ESA to advise them of the recurrence. They advised me that the warranty does not cover the drawer. Only functioning parts of the refrigerator that maintain the cool temperature, the ice maker and the water dispenser. I have tried working with them, but to no success. I do not appreciate a product attribute that is designed to last only a year. I hesitate to spend the money to have it repaired again because I fear next year I will have to have it repaired again. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I have a 6 month old $800+ upright Frigidaire freezer made by Electrolux, after less than 3 months it quit working, lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. Its now been in non working condition 3 months even after 5 service calls. This freezer has been sitting in my home in NON-WORKING condition for 3 months now. Electrolux agreed to replace it in August... The first date they scheduled this delivery on Sept. 8th, they never showed up or called. They again rescheduled for today, September 21st and now Im being told they cant deliver it today. Ive lost countless hours with customer service, hundreds of dollars worth of food, two days loss of work waiting for delivery of the replacement that didnt show up. Its the worse experience I have ever had with an appliance in my life. The customer service is even worse than the garbage products they sell! Run!

Horrible... My wife and I purchased a brand new Electrolux front load washer Dec. 2016 and just shy of a year the main bearing has failed! We are not heavy users of wash. We had a Kenmore Elite H4 for 13 years with no issues, until the main board died! We purchased based on reviews etc. and now regretting not going with another brand. Electrolux used to have a solid rep but now I will never recommend or purchase an appliance from them again.

We purchased a stackable dryer from Electrolux in August of 2016. 2 years and 5 months later the motor stopped working with normal usage. We spent $420 to replace the motor and today, almost exactly 1 year later, the motor stopped working again, same code same issue. I called their customer service and they are offering to sell me the part for 50% off plus labor and diagnostic costs. I purchased a house with Electrolux Icon appliances. In the first two months, the ice maker required four service calls to get working reliably; the microwave required one to the get door aligned so it would operate, and the dishwasher required two service calls. These were all paid for by Electrolux. After 18 months, the dishwasher is now giving the error 1 code, which appears to very problematic and difficult to diagnose/repair, and one burner on the stove smells like gas, even when it is on, rendering it unusable. At the prices that these appliances cost, one would expect them to run when new, and to last more than 18 months.

We purchased an Electrolux gas oven in 2013 and in October 2014, the ignition stopped working. The appliance was still under warranty and a technician came out to repair it. A month later, it stopped working again and just before Christmas a technician came again to fix it. We had to call them out 4 times by which time the ovens warranty had lapsed, so not only did they not fix it, they sent us an invoice for repairs they had not actually competently done. The technician who comes is rude and aggressive and clearly cannot fix the problem. We too, thought that paying $820 would ensure a better quality of product, but the product and their service is appalling and they have wasted our time and money. We intend to seek legal advice.

In a year and a half we have had every single part replaced in our fridge and actually have had the entire fridge replaced. The fridge freezes your food - period. They customer service have stated that the fridge is operating as it was designed. You must strategically place your food in the fridge. It cannot be near the back part of the fridge - that is by design. That was not in the brochure. That being said you loose about 3 of space in your fridge, otherwise your food freezes. And yes if you place a glass of water near the back - it freezes. I have plenty of pictures to show. Poor design, poor customer experience. If you want a freezer I guess buy from this company but dont buy a fridge. Thank goodness I have a real fridge in my garage.

We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems. In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why cant we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didnt scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator. By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. There are too many of us as unsatisfied consumers with the same flawed design refrigerator complaining about Electrolux not taking action on their substandard appliances and for NOT doing the right thing.

Purchased Electrolux side x side refrigerator model EI26SS56GWO, s/n 4A82217631, new in 2008. Most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased and the WORST! Issues: Motherboard just went out. Again! 3rd time in 5 years. 4 motherboards in 6 years if I choose to repair this again. Ice maker valve assembly has been replaced 4 times in 6 years. Freezer door handle cannot be secured, and thusly hangs loosely and sloppy. If my recollection is correct, I believe this unit was billed as the most quiet refrigerator ever when first released. DONT RECOMMEND TO BUY ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS!!! Bought a brand new unit of Electrolux EWT903 XW top loader washing machine last August 2015. This is 9 kg washing machine for 2 person. We also seldom use the machine since we go out of town always. The machine suddenly broke down on October 2016. Call the Electrolux Philippines head office for request to check the machine problem. The service was so bad, that it took more than 3 weeks to schedule to checkup. The Check up was done on Nov 26, and the service technician advised that the Gate valve below the machine to let the water flow out was damaged. Asked the Service Technician the cause of damage, the service Technician also dont know. Later, the Office call me, and explained the cause of damage may be as ff: 1) Electric fluctuation 2) overload. This 2 reason are so dumb stupid reason, since we seldom use the machine. My conclusion is there must a design problem for this Electrolux EWT903 EW washing machine. DONT RECOMMEND TO BUY.

Our front load Electrolux washer that is 7 years old gave us an error code of E53. Called Electrolux and was told it was the motor control. Ordered the part and still didnt work. Talked to Electrolux again and was told we needed the main control board too. Ordered that part as well. Got it and now the washer locked the washer door and still doesnt do anything but power up and power down. Called Electrolux to see if they would either refund the parts back to us if we sent them back OR send new parts as it seems one may be faulty. They told me they couldnt refund parts nor send new replacement ones as we were not a certified installer. We were never informed that when we ordered the parts. They wont stand behind their parts or issue a refund. All they want to do is send a technician. There are only 2 parts for the electronics that can be replaced. It isnt rocket science and not a hard thing to install. I rebuild computers. It is crazy they wont stand behind their product or send replacement parts or refund. Now we are out $350 and have to break the door to get the clothes out of the washer since the door wont unlock and STILL go buy another washer. BAD SERVICE. BAD PARTS. BAD COMPANY.

Wow where do I start. Purchased for almost $3800 in 8/09. Less then a yr old, all the door hinges had to be replaced with a upgraded hinge. Three months later the door catches broke and had to be replaced. Six months later the ice maker was making very loud popping noises. It had to be replaced, not once but twice with again upgraded unit. The ice makers still makes lots of strange noises. Service tech says thats normal? The final straw came the week prior to this past Christmas when the info panel read an error code of SY EF. Called for service and after several days they came out to advise me it was the evaporator fan and control board. The unit ran continuously trying to keep at requested temp, all to no avail. You would think an appliance would last longer than 5 years without a major malfunction. Not so with Electrolux. Still waiting for parts to arrive, 2 weeks later. I would go into additional details about the dishwasher and microwave oven at this time. Junk. Ive learned my very expensive lesson.

It is infuriating that a company does not stand behind their product. The interior of my Electrolux refrigerator is falling apart. The plastic supports are cracked and broken, making the drawers sit askew. Freshness of food? I have spoken to customer service twice... no help. When requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was kept on hold for lengthy amount of time only to be told that no supervisor would come to the phone. No supervisor will come to the phone? Customer service?I have been told by numerous appliance retailers that Electrolux appliances are plagued with quality issues. I purchased $10,000 in Electrolux appliances in 2012. Yes, the warranty has expired. But this is NOT acceptable. The interior portion of my refrigerator should be replaced... no questions asked. That is brand support and customer service. Own the fact that there have been ongoing issues, and work to maintain a loyal customer base. That is good business. I am a business owner. I would expect my employees to take better care of my customers. ELECTROLUX should be ashamed! I feel a responsibility to share my feeling with whomever will listen. Its infuriating. Please do not purchase Electrolux appliances. I unfortunately did not do my research before and deeply regret it as I am now in the hole about as much as I paid for it originally in repairs and it still does not work. I have spent numerous calls and hours with customer service and to no avail. They simply dont care if you ever purchase from them again and I definitely will not. The interface board on ours was faulty from the beginning and after being replaced still did not work. The ice maker would freeze over and after even repairing it broke again. We have been using ice trays for two years due to not being able to afford to pay the repair cost and another part since it was out of warranty at that point. I have filed a complaint with the State Dept. of Consumer Affairs and to file suit to replace a defective design. We are contacting their legal department due to the fact they knew it was a defective design and will not fix it or replace it. Electrolux used to be a great company and unfortunately like many today just dont care about the consumers who purchase with their hard earned money from them. The only recourse is to just not give them the money in the future so I highly recommend you do your research before throwing your money away with them.

I purchased a Frigidaire freezer in 2007 and, three years later, I purchased an Electrolux Extended Warranty (service contract). During the life of the Extended Warranty I called for service because my freezer was not getting as cold as it should and it was accumulating a lot of frost (not a frost free model). Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician who looked at it and told me that there was too much food in it and freezers should not be loaded over 50% of their capacity. I found other accommodations for the excess food, ensuring that the freezer was not loaded more than 50% but this did not fix the problem. I called for service again and Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician from the same company who had a different story this time, telling me that the drawers at the bottom of the freezer were not going all of the way back, impeding the sealing of the door.I couldnt see that the drawers were impeding the closing and sealing of the door but I defrosted the freezer anyway and discovered that the door seal was still not sealing and I could feel the cold air escaping from the bottom door seal when the door was closed. I called for service again and requested another appliance repair company to do the inspection/repairs because all I was getting from the company that they were sending was a lot of busy work for me which was not fixing the problem. They did send another inspector who took several pictures of the door and bottom seal and left with the comment that the door was misaligned.Several days later I received a call from Electrolux stating that their findings were that the misalignment was the result of consumer abuse of the door and they would not repair the door. I informed them that was absurd and an examination of the pictures that the technician took would show that the door was not damaged and there was no consumer abuse. They informed me that there were NO pictures accompanying the report and Electrolux was standing by their decision NOT to cover the repair of the door. How very convenient that the pictures that were taken which would make my case and refute their claim had just vanished into thin air!?!? I have filed a complaint with the BBB but Electrolux is sticking by their decision NOT to perform on its contractual obligations and they are doing it through deceit. I have also filed a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the results of that one are pending. BUYER BEWARE when dealing with Electrolux Extended Service Warranties! Bought a brand new house that came with brand new Electrolux appliances including the dishwasher. The buttons get pressed inadvertently during loading and unloading causing the air dry button to get pressed which would lock the control panel. After unlocking the control panel, the air dry option would not work until the main fuse was reset in the garage. This happened at least once a week. Called Electrolux and they sent out Callahan Appliance Repair to fix the dishwasher. They sent the owners son out who claimed that the dishwasher buttons were malfunctioning and he replaced them (he did it so quick that I am not sure he actually did). However, he reported to Electrolux that he replaced the buttons on my microwave!!! He did not do any repairs on my microwave!!!!!Well a few months later, same problem and Electrolux sent Premier appliance out twice because Callahan refused to come out to my house since I called them out on the fake microwave repair. After that in December 2014, just before the warranty was up Electrolux started doing their own repairs and sent an Electrolux tech out. He indicated that the control panel was faulty. He ordered the part and replaced it out and Electrolux extended my repair warranty (parts and labor) till June 2015. However, since he replaced that out, the control panel cover will not fit right and there is space between the control panel and cover due to the heat/steam from the dishwashing cycle. The Electrolux tech has come out and replaced the control panel cover but the problem still is not fixed. It keeps separating from the control board. They have now deemed it not repairable and are willing to replace my dishwasher for me but expect me to pay the cost of the delivery and installation. I think that since it is still under a parts and LABOR warranty it should be replaced at no cost to me. They refuse to fix it now!! I feel that they are not standing by their warranty (Labor included). I have always had Whirlpool appliances and will NEVER buy ELECTROLUX appliances!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered to me on March 2. Before the delivery guy brought the fridge in he informed me that the fridge was dented and if I wanted a new one I would have to wait another week without a fridge and with a small child that was out of the question. So I decided to call Electrolux to see if I could be compensated for the fridge. I talked with ** and she told me without pictures I could have $40 off the fridge, I took pictures of both sides of the fridge and did not hear back from her. I called the next day and spoke with ** and he said I guess we can give you $60 off. I was upset with the rude comment and said that I was still unhappy and he said well what are you expecting? I was not expecting anything but would have liked to be acknowledged that what I bought was not what I received. He told me he would talk to a manager and call me back the next day, I called and spoke with him again and he said I guess we can give you the $100 off. I was very upset by the way I was being treated and said that I would just prefer to have a new fridge sent since that is what I paid for. His response was oh so now youve changed your mind, we will deliver, then hung up on me. I got no apology for the situation or any details about when the new fridge would be delivered. I am astounded by the horrible customer service this company hires. I called back after being rudely hung up on and he refused to pass me on to a manager. I called back several times after this trying to speak with a manager and not one person would help me. It is now March 20 and after going to home depot in person I got the first apology for my situation and the man working there was amazing and threatened to call head office if my issue was not resolved. Turns out ** did not give my phone number to the delivery company. Appalling, dont use this company, its not worth it

I purchased the wave touch dishwasher ($1200.), the microwave ($600.), and the French door ice maker fridge ($2,999.) since 2009. The dishwasher was replace immediately for leaking. Now it makes a noise while running, where before you never heard it run. We have mold that builds up it, we have to take it apart, use brushes to clean the racks. I think that should be a liability for knowing my dishes are being washed with mold build-up. Disgusting. The ice maker has been replaced so many times I gave up counting. Sad part we heard the same thing, yes, we know that is a malfunction in the design of the ice maker. The ice clumps to the front of the bin, starts making a thumping noise & I have to empty so it will make new ice. Thank goodness we purchased the extended 4 yr warranty. The microwave ($600.) the latch that closes the door broke, so you cant use the thing & we had to tape it shut to keep the door from staying open. My daughter purchased their oven ($1200.) & the electronic board went out on it. Thank goodness they purchased the extended warranty. I would never tell my worst enemy to purchase any Electrolux appliance. I insisted on this product & have been unhappy since. We purchased them before retiring (knowing we would be on a limited income), hoping we would be good for at least 20 yrs, so much for that with these products. To all my family, friends and shipmates: Please forward this on to as many people as possible in order to get the widest amount of coverage as possible! My wife and I purchased a new Electrolux Refrigerator (Model Number EW23BC70IS) on 25 May 2009 at a cost of $3699.00 for our new home. In less than a year were so many problems with the refrigerator; ice maker not working and freezer drawer cracked (which were covered under warranty), that Electrolux finally replaced it with another one (Model Number EW23BC71IS) on 29 April 2011.On 9 August 2013 there was a service call to replace electronic board and ice maker. On 5 September 2016 another service call to install Rear Insulation Kit. Finally, on 16 May 2018, a service call to install Air Handler. Then less than month later, on 13 June 2018, a service call to Beach Appliance Service, LLC., regarding frozen water line, no ice or water, and large mold patch on wall next to the back of refrigerator in addition to water dripping from back of refrigerator. The bottom line is that even though Electrolux was contacted both by Beach Appliance Service, who provided a total of 18 pictures (including mold), and myself (at least 5 phone calls) regarding this issue, Electrolux’s bottom line was that the refrigerator was out of warranty and that they would be happy to give me 10% off a new refrigerator. Please tell everyone you know what a lousy product Electrolux makes and that no one should buy anything from them or go through what we did. Since I didnt any resolution from Electrolux, I am now taking them to small claims court.

We bought a new Electrolux refrigerator in July of 2014 and were told by our sales person that Electrolux was a higher grade brand. We believed him and opted to spend a little more to get what we thought would be a bit better quality. Were we wrong! One year and one week to the day, our wiring harness burned out, causing my entire house to smell of burn plastic. All of my food took on the taste and smell of burnt plastic and my refrigerator stopped cooling. When I called Electrolux, they basically told me we were out of luck since we were out of warranty, but they could offer me an extended warranty for $575 (what a deal). We have spent the last 2 days fighting with them over this piece of crap refrigerator that lasted us an entire year and we can either buy the extended warranty or be forced to buy an entirely new refrigerator. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy an Electrolux appliance as long as I live. I will go out of my way to tell people what a substandard product they manufacture and how they provide no concern for customer service or satisfaction. As a consumer I have to wonder why companies push extended warranties when they claim that their products are superior in quality. Shouldnt a refrigerator last longer than 1 year?

I bought a ** Refrigerator and Washing Machine 5 years ago when I built my house. Both are broken. The fridge leaked water all over the floor causing the base cabinets in the kitchen to suck up the moisture and ruin them. The Washing Machine needs a new circuit board. How does a circuit board fail after 5 years? Incredible. Stay away from Electrolux.

Ice maker does not work. On second unit now. French door model with ice in door.. Some times will work for a day or two. Then it stops. It might make a cube or two in a few days then it stops again. Always made low volume of cubes in a day. Maybe two small cubes. Now I have to buy ice at store and put in dispenser. We have to keep a small cup in the door under the water tube because it leaks water on the floor. I bought a $200.00 refrigerator from Craigslist and keep in garage just to make ice. $200.00 fridge better than $3000.00 Electrolux!!!

Bought 20 cuft Frigidaire freezer in Dec. 2020. Did not work correctly after 2 weeks, frosted up. Fan stopped working. Light did not work. Electrolux who now owns frigidaire, sent out service man a week later. After missing with the door the service man said he would have to order a new door and gasket. After several weeks (the freezer had now stopped working) the door and gasket where delivered. The service man never returned or answered my calls. I called electrolux. They sent out a different company. After a few weeks the service man said he would have to order some parts. He did do something with the fan motor. He did order some parts. After several weeks, 3 or 4 I called the service company and they told me that one of the parts was on back order. After 6 months the part came in. A month before I plugged in the freezer and it started working. Still frosted up and no light. The service man returned and after about 30 minutes he said it needed another part. He was not using the part we had waited over 6 months to get. A week later he returned, put some shims in the original door and everything worked right. Not end of story. The new door is still on my sun room floor on a pallet (6ft long). Its now been 8 months, They kept telling me they were going to pick it up. Now they say because its a residence they cant get it pick up, they had it DELIVERED. Now they say its up to me to dispose of it at my expense. I think I am going to try and sell it!

We redid our kitchen on 2012, installing a full suite of Electrolux product
We redid our kitchen on 2012, installing a full suite of Electrolux products. The refrigerator was an odd size, so we spend a fair amount of money building cabinetry around it to make it fit. The refrigerator worked for about four and a half years and then needed the computer replaced. Since then, there have been three additional repairs needed, replacing the fan, heating coil and thermostat. The last repair was two months ago. We have spend approx. $1,200 on these repairs. The unit is now not working again. I called Electrolux to explain the situation and ask if they would be willing to assist us with the purchase of a new refrigerator, given the issues with this one. I really dont want a new one, but dont want to incur the cabinetry bills for another refrigerator as I dont know that I can find one of the same size. They said they were not willing to offer any assistance. Their products are expensive, dont last and they dont stand behind it. All good reasons to never buy any of their products.

My very expensive ($1,400) Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505 just cost another $311 to fix. This is after replacing the water pump approximately a year ago. It was just over four years old and used only 2-3 times a month. Forget about customer service where they will only tell you that you have to contact one of their service agents in your area. It cost me $75 (trip charge) for a serviceman to come over and make a phone call to Electrolux tech support for the error code which resulted in a needed repair kit. Two weeks later after the repair kit installed, I was charged $118 for the kit, $100 for a second trip charge and $18 for labor. It is not true you get what you pay for in this case. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance.

Purchased top of the line Electrolux dishwasher in 2010 (cost a fortune) and have cursed the dishwasher each and every time I took the dishes out after washing. Nothing ever came out sparkling clean from the first day I used it. The water never was hot enough because the dishwasher didnt have a heating coil to heat the water to a temperature that would give excellent results. I dropped the extended warranty and prayed and hoped it would break down and sure enough 6 years later it did just that. It was the happiest day of my dishwashing life. I promptly went out and bought a Kitchen-aid mid-range dishwasher with 3 drawers. An upper flat rack for utensils and the dishwasher is wonderful. No more Electrolux for me ever.

We had our house built 6 years ago and I just had to have the Electrolux appliance. The only thing that in my opinion that has worked well is the dish machine. The oven, cooktop, and microwave not so much. For the price I was expecting as other consumers have stated a much better product. I did not get the warranties because them in themselves were expensive as well.Lets start with the microwave because it had the least problems and lasted the longest. Two years ago the door panel came partly loose. Only I had it fixed was because I had gotten the home warranty for all household appliances and it was covered under that warranty. Along with the other two appliances that I am going to talk about. Last year the spring broke so the door would not close. My husband tried to fix it and in the midst of doing that he broke the top piece. A friend came over and saw that the door was taped shut. He asked what was wrong with it; I told him and he fixed for me. The top piece could not be fixed because it was plastic. Thank goodness he didnt charge me. He said it was a minor fix. The top piece I just laid it back on top. You couldnt tell it was detached. Now this year the microwave stop working all together. I put something in it to warm up and it did not come on DEAD. I never cooked in it anyway but dead after 5 1/2 years.Next we are going to talk about the cooktop. I picked out the 36 in induction cooktop. It was working good. I was excited I had gotten it then after 6 months the burners seem to no be cooking as well. I had to cook the food on high if I was using more than one burner because it was not cooking well and taking forever to cook. Thank goodness not was burning. I thought something was wrong but I could not figure out what it was. Then one day when I was cooking for the holidays, midway through cooking the hold cooktop shut off. At that point I had to wait for the fans to cool the cooktop off. Once that happen I had to cook everything one at a time till I was finish cooking. Needless to say I was upset. That Monday I called the Electrolux and they called a service tech out because it was still just under their warranty . When he finally came out he told me that it was a good thing it had shut itself off because it could have set the house on fire. Like that is something a home owner wants to hear. He told me he had to order the part. It took three weeks for that part to come in. No problems after that until the fourth year and it did it again. By this time I had gotten the home warranty I spoke of earlier and thank goodness for that because we had problem after problem. This time one side of the cooktop could not work. The service people sent someone to fix it. Then two months later the other side when out. They sent the same person out again. Then the other side that had been fixed went out again so he had to come back. This was every two months for 8 months. Then finally he realized something was burning out the circuit boards and fix it. No more problems but on the induction side you cannot burn the 2 burners on the same temperature or you will get an error. Thats a small price to pay for not being able to use your appliance that you paid hard earn money for 8 months. Finally we get to the double oven. The first problem I had was the Led lights went out. That was still under factory warranty. This happen two months after we moved in. The next problem again like the cooktop, the oven sensor went out, this was 6 months after we moved in. They came and fixed that. I had no problems until again like the cooktop in the 4th year. I was cooking on normal bake and the oven seem like it wasnt getting hot. Then I started using the convection bake then it seem like it was doing the same thing. One day I was standing there looking at the stove wondering what to do, my daughter said Momma I told you the bottom oven works better than the top. At that point I turned both ovens on and the bottom oven heated up faster than the top. So for a while we used the bottom oven for cooking until it was doing the same thing as the top. The problem with the oven was happening at the same time with the cooktop but it had to be 2 different work orders. The oven took longer to get fixed than the cooktop because we had to wait longer until the part to come in. So I didnt have a oven for 11 months. Because you could not use 1 oven without the other because they were on the same circuit board. Since then we can use both ovens but the bottom oven is still hotter than the top and it still heats up quicker.

Electrolux owns Frigidaire. We purchased a washer in March of 2015. 8 months later it was replaced with same model. Again 8 months later the washer needs replaced except this time I was informed that the model we had is no longer being manufactured. I asked for a refund or credit to choose something of our choice. Their response to me was that I either accept what they have to offer or case closed. What they had to offer was a machine nowhere close to an equivalent of the one we purchased. It was delivered in August of 2016 and replaced on November 7. We are now on our 4th washing machine in 18 months. We had a repairman out here on November 14 and November 30 for the same problems the previous machine was having. We now have had this piece of ??? for a month and all they want to do is send another repairman out. Instead of talking to the repairman directly they are wanting me to fill them in on the repairmans diagnosis. I insisted that they talk to them directly and wont do it. What is the point of having a repairman if they are not going to follow up with them. All I want is a refund of our money so we can go on and not have to deal with them anymore. This machine is Frigidaires top loader. It has a terrible vibrating sound. Also, the machine shuts off during a cycle and all the panel lights will flash. Another issue is the length of time it takes to wash – 60-90 minutes.
