Purchased new GE dishwasher after previous model lasted over 11 years. Family eats most meals and home and typically runs washer at least 4 times per week. New model was upgrade with stainless steel interior and all the efficiency upgrades from technology advances. Ran great for first 18 months then suddenly we opened one morning and notices water standing in bottom of machine. Emptied dishes, re-ran with same result. Technician called and spent an hour diagnosing to determine water pump, control board and wash motor would all need to be replaced at a cost of nearly $600 or 75% of what we paid for the unit new less than 2 years ago. Simply unacceptable that GE would produce such an unreliable product. We will be replacing with a different brand and would tell anyone to avoid GE dishwashers.

The sent some moron to come take a look at the microwave after I placed this latest service call. He came and without diagnosing, he ordered a few parts and scheduled a follow-up for today. He called this morning to reconfirm the appointment (which was already confirmed 2 times previously and this reconfirmation has never taken place previously) and I missed his call. When I called him back short whIle later, his voicemail directed me to call the 800 #. After a 35 min hold with them, they said since I didnt pick up the phone in the morning, the appointment was canceled. What???? It states nowhere that theyll call you to reconfirm an ALREADY SCHEDULED AND CONFIRMED appointment and that if you miss the call, they cancel the appointment. Next service call is a week from now, which makes it 3 weeks without a microwave. I hope they rot in hell.

Nothing happened...never has. It just wont wash dishes. I have to prewash every item that is put into this piece of garbage. I bought it new and have used it for 3 years. It remained in the box the first 5 years I owned it and it honestly did me as much good in the box as it has since we installed it. It makes a good rinser but wont even wash off a lemon seed left in the bottom of a glass. This is such a joke. I would never buy another GE product. The refrigerator I bought at the same time, a side-by-side, the entire front door froze solid within 2 years and we had to buy a new one. Your company stinks. This is a rip off of my money. Refrigerators and dishwashers are not cheap. Model GSDL122F02BB is the dishwasher.

Our new GE dishwasher is a disappointment. 1. There is water on the door after the dishes wash. 2. There is soap on the door after the dishes wash. 3. The silverware is often dirty after the dishes wash.I have observed the following: 1. The reason for the water is the silverware trays are made of plastic and do not dry. They should make them of coated wire like they used to. 2. The soap tray is often prevented from opening all the way by the silverware in the rack. They should re-design the bottom rack. 3. The silverware tray is too enclosed for good cleaning. It should be made of coated wire like they used to.

Ive had this stainless steel GE Dishwasher model GDF645SMONES with the controls in the front for nearly a year. The dishwasher constantly comes on with the slightest accidental touch. However the buttons that control the cycle settings are extremely difficult to operate to cancel the lock or delay hours features. I have to literally bang on the buttons to get a response. My thumbs are now sore from the constant pushing to cancel that lock and delay features that came on accidentally. Once locked, good luck in canceling anything. Im so disgusted with this $600 dishwasher. Complaints to GE and the so-called warranty company that turned out to be one and the same, have fallen on deaf ears from the day I got it. Do yourself a huge favor, do NOT buy this dishwasher. Customer service is awful.

I have a new house (2 years old so out of warranty) and the kitchen has GE appliances that I choose. I hate, hate, hate them all! I have had problems from the first week in our home with the stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. I am so sorry I choose this brand! Today my dishwasher (for the 3rd time) isnt working. GE wanted to send their tech in a week. Then another week to get a part. I am so frustrated that I said forget it and called a local repair company. This is Friday, they will be here on Monday. I spent 2 hours on the dishwasher today. They had to replace my refrigerator and cooktop. My microwave went out 5 days after we moved in. Took 2 weeks to get it fixed. DO NOT BUY GE!

Our microwave was manufactured in September 2010 and we purchased it in October 2010. It has been used a few times a week for reheating leftovers. I have owned secondhand microwaves and unknown brand microwaves, and they have been more reliable than the GE Profile. My husband and I invested in the Profile series when we remodeled our kitchen. After a lifetime of moving and living in homes with much to be desired kitchens, we decided to spend money to provide ourselves with a functional kitchen. If I had to do it all over again, I would have saved myself the trouble and purchased my appliances from another company. After having to call GE to send out a repair person 5 different times to work in our microwave oven, we are left with a nonworking microwave oven. It seems that a company that has made record profits from their faithful American fans could do the right thing and replace the microwave oven with something that works. Perhaps they do not have such a product. They have offered to let us buy a new one at a big discount, but they have not clarified what the percentage will be. The problem I have with this is that spending one more dollar on a product with no backing from the company it came from would be asking for more let down. I believe Ill have this lemon removed and quit before I take on any more consumer letdowns.

I owned a previous GE dishwasher 4 years ago and would give it excellent ratings. I bought a newer top of the line version when I purchased a new home. It simply fails to clean dishes. Wet food that any dishwasher would remove, remained on the dishes. The drying cycle never dried the dishes. We have to hand wash the dishes now and have stopped using the dishwasher after 3 days of ownership because of health hazard. I called Lowes about this within days of the install. Lowes sent out the installer who claimed the machine was installed properly. Then Lowes scheduled a GE repairman to come to the home. We waited all day for him to arrive for a morning appointment. He never came. Lowes stepped up and is replacing the dishwasher with a non-GE product. I would not touch a GE product again given the lack of service and commitment to their product. I feel confident with Lowes, but not with GE - their ethics from engineering, manufacturing and servicing are very suspect with us.

The dishwasher is poor quality. Top is thin, top dish rack has trouble with tall glasses. Bottom rack doesnt slide in and out well. The power cord and water cords are too short. They are 2 ft shorter than our previous model dishwasher. Top was loose when delivered and had the wrong screw in one of the holes. The hose and cords are difficult to hook up because they are so short. We cant fit as many dishes in as our previous model of the same size and the unbiased reviewers are saying its washing quality is poor. We havent had it long and hate it. Home Depot wont take returns on portable dishwashers though. Out lots of money on this. This GE is thin plastic trash that costs lots of money with no return.

We recently purchased our second dishwasher in 16+ years (the other one (a Kenmore) is still running fabulously but staying with the sale of our former home - however I am tempted to swap it out with this new one from GE). This beautiful inside and out dishwasher has a couple main flaws that has me wanting my old dishwasher back. The buttons on the front are super sensitive, causing it to come on countless times a day as we get items out of cabinet above. This is not something we thought about. Our old one had the controls on the front but they were under plastic that you pushed... not actual buttons like this one.The second issue is minor. The rack on the bottom is set up very wide on one side and our dinner plates are smaller than some and they do not sit firmly in between the tines. The spacing is great for larger plates or serving items but not for medium size plates. We use a lot of bowls so the other side with closer together tines is always full. Like I said just a minor flaw. Lastly, the unit puts off a high-pitched sound during certain parts of the cycle. It is not really loud but it is bothersome if we are still in the kitchen when it is running.

This microwave (jvm1540dm5ww) works fine but the plastic door is fracturing into bits. I expect this is because of faulty plastic in China. Cheap alternatives for fast profits. The machine is out of warranty. Replacement door is almost 160$ with shipping. Planned obsolescence by corporate America. This machine works fine but is a waste because I don’t trust the replacement materials to be any more stable. I rated this a two because the actual operation is fine. Sorry GE. Online Problem shows indoor sensors interlocks not adjusted properly. Troubleshoot fee minimum $99 with parts estimate $250.00. We have been limping along for two months with frequent trips to basement resetting breaker, now the breaker trips when activated. Same thing happens on multiple circuits, via extension cord trial. GE Microwave was making intermittent buzzing noise 1 month after purchase. Called GE & they said they could send a tech out to check it but if they didnt find anything I would be charged a service call. I stated it would only do it once in a while so was concerned it wouldnt do it when tech was here & I would be charged so I passed on the tech. Microwave continued to make noise periodically but seemed to get less as time went on. 1 year & 10 months later it started to sound like it was arcing & shut off. Again it was periodic. Called GE. They sent a tech out & it only shut off but no arcing sound or intermittent starting & stopping. Tech stated it probably was door micro switch, but when GE called me back they said he stated it probably was circuit board. Whatever the cause it is still what I would call arcing & going off & on.GE stated They could give me a discount on a new microwave which amounted to cost of $100.00 more than I paid for it in the first place.

My Quiet Power 3 model GLD4450N10CS didnt clean well from installation (July 2008). But I ran the heavy wash as the norm. And I never used heated dry in case I had to rewash any of the contents. I ran my dishwash last evening. I went out to dinner and returned to a burning smell in my house. I opened my dishwasher and smoke came out. The plastics were melted. The cabinet next to my dishwash smelt of burning as well. The detergent table sat partially dissolved on the bottom of the washer. It took 2 hours to cool down. My dishwasher no longer goes into a wash cycle (even after unplugging it overnight). I have left it unplugged as I feel it is no longer safe. GE says it is $80 for service plus parts. And they said that if I dont repair it, I get $100 certificate to use online to order another GE. Its not worth it and I am very upset. I replaced all my appliance in 2008 with GE. My dryer had to be repaired. My washer was a lemon and they swapped it out for a new model. And now my dishwasher died and almost burned my house down.

I have an above the range GE microwave oven, model no. JVM1750M1CC. It has been in service for about 9 years. About 6 months ago it stopped working with an F3 code. The code claims the control panel needs to be replaced. I found that the price of the control panel was over $100 and the service call was at least $100. A little shopping around and I found I can purchase a new oven for about the same price. As the control panel is located just above the largest burner where water is usually heated to a boil, it receives a lot of steam. I visited a local church second hand store and purchased a countertop microwave and used it while I found a good solution. I decided to let it dry out for a few days and lo and behold it worked again. Unfortunately it only worked for a few hours, sometimes a full day and then I needed to let it dry out some more. I purchased an extension cord with an on/off switch and hooked it up. Now I can stop the electricity without having to climb up on a chair to pull the plug. Once I was set up with the easy on/off switch I could easily reset it. After about a week of resetting, it got the message. It has been working properly for over two weeks now with no failures.

Have owned, installed, and repaired many dishwashers throughout the years at various houses. This GE unit is by far worst dishwasher that I have ever had the displeasure to install and operate, and it replaces a Kitchen Aid unit that started a fire, see **. Specifically the GE unit had the control panel break off due to misalignment, requiring repair, the drain bulkhead fitting was poorly designed and caused a leak, requiring repair, the water solenoid valve failed in the 2nd year, and finally the door does not lock closed without significant care and attention to alignment and requires many attempts to lock closed for the start of cycle. This is the worst and I cant wait to pull it out and replace it.

We purchased a new home with a GE Profile dishwasher installed. Since the day we had it, we have never been satisfied with the cleanliness of the dishes. They frequently come out covered in food and must be rewashed. We now routinely prewash everything in the sink and we always use the cookware setting to wash everything. Despite this, we still have to re-run loads because they are not clean.I am convinced that there is a design error with our dishwasher, because the top dish shelf obstructs the door of the soap compartment and prevents it from fully opening. After a load has run, you can still see leftover soap dried and crusted in the soap container. Purchased the Maytag MDB7749SBM stainless steel dishwasher in December 2013. The dishwasher and install totaled $700, which for that price and with Maytags past reputation, I wrongly assumed that the dishwasher would last a long time. In May 2016, slightly over 2 years, the dishwasher started having issues with the control panel. The control lock would randomly activate. I would have to reset the circuit breaker daily, leaving it off for around 10 minutes. Even with trying to go through all the steps to resolve the issue, resetting it from the circuit breaker, sequence on the control panel, the dishwasher wouldnt work. I called Maytag and after 40 minutes on hold, they finally answered. They wanted $89 for a service call and for the $143 part, plus labor. Might as well just replace it with another brand like GE, or Samsung.

GE Profile Microwave/Convection Oven JVM1790WK, over the range unit, CAUGHT ON FIRE while microwaving water for coffee. One of the four prongs that holds the oven grid in place started flaming wildly and smoking after about one minute of microwaving. My whole kitchen has an acrid awful burning smell. This is my second unit for a small kitchen, and I will be lost without this. The first one I had the handle fell off. This one is too dangerous to use. These units cost $600!!! I cannot afford to replace one every few years. Maybe this model and brand is bad news?

It is located close to our TV viewing area. and is so noisy. I hate to run it when we are watching TV. I would never buy another GE. We are also having problem with our GE double oven. Its been more than 2 months that GE repair has been TRYING to repair my 4 month old dishwasher. 4 service calls, 3 wrongly ordered parts, GE blaming repair company, and repair CO. blaming GE. The repair company on their 4th visit told me wrong part again and that they refuse to come out anymore. They lost enough money already. When talking with GE consumer Dept. promises of a call back by a manager has been non existent, now they wont even return my call. I have a 5yr extended warranty on the dishwasher and I cant seem to get anywhere with the factory warranty. GE by far the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They were happy to take my money for 4 top of the line appliances, after that youre non existent to them. Its a shame that legal counsel is what seems my only avenue. Will never consider buying GE products ever again.

We have a GE Profile Microwave/Oven combo unit. The paint is flaking off inside the microwave. Most of the ceiling paint is gone, and the floor of the microwave is flaking. Because we have a combo microwave and oven, the entire unit must be replaced. Thats around $2400. We cannot match the color, because they dont make bisque appliances any more. GE customer service suggests we replace the microwave with a countertop model, leaving the dead microwave on the wall. This is unacceptable.

We bought this GE Dishwasher through JC Penney with a 3 yr extended warranty in Dec 2017 thank goodness. I am on my 3 round of having the mother board and the heater replaced since I got this machine. This last tech came as a 2nd opinion for my claim that this machine has not worked more than it works. All we would do is load the machine, go to turn it on and out it goes. The warranty people sent out a GE Tech who ordered a new board and fuser kit and came to put it in. Same issue, he said it was my hard wiring and I should have a electrician look at it. 200.00 later not the hard wiring. It is a pin hole in the heater coil that this last tech found. New heater now on order. My faith that this will fix the problem is waning. After this my warranty will be up and I will Never buy a GE appliance again. Not worth the money.

We had purchased the first listed model of dishwasher (Model PTD7505SSF8SS)
We had purchased the first listed model of dishwasher (Model PTD7505SSF8SS) and installed it on Aug 27/16. It worked for a total of 13 days and broke down on Sept 9/16. After a good deal of phone tag - a technician looked at it and said no less than 3 internal components had failed, the unit needed to be replaced. We were without the unit from Sept 9/16 until Dec 23/17 when the new replacement unit (Model PTD845SSJOSS) was installed. It worked for a total of 20 days and broke down on Jan 12/17. More phone tag... Tech looked at it and found a number of issues (motherboard, door switch, etc...), in addition - it had been leaking water under the dishwasher for the time it was in service. (All 20 days! What a record!)When a dishwasher leaks upstairs... It doesnt go well for the drywall ceiling downstairs. (The rep at GE was cold and calculated informing me that is what insurance is for!) Im not sure that is what someone who spent $1,699.00 for a GE product (in good faith of a reputable product) expects to be told by the individual who has the ability to make things right? At any rate, this is what you can expect from the trained professionals at GE. When they finally got around to looking at my file... They decided to simply replace the motherboard in the hopes it will fix the leak also.I would have liked a refund at this point (not likely) so I requested yet another replacement (given the issue of water leaking), they absolutely refused. As of this date Feb 2/17 we are still without a dishwasher. Goes without saying - no more GE products will enter our home and I will share, with everyone I can, the caring and kind words of support I experienced from the top level at GE.

Our Spacemaker microwave, which was installed over the stove August 2008, suddenly stopped heating food. My husband called GE, and their phone advisor advised us the microwave was under warranty. She said her computer screen showed our product registration, and she also saw we owned three other GE products. Fast forward, the GE repairman came and said the microwave repair cost would be around $400. The heating part wasnt under warranty nor was the labor. Mind you, the entire microwave (new) was under $400. We called the GE service center, and they refused to honor what their representative had told us. The most they offered was 50% off. I dont accept the premise that a new appliance should only last four years. I will replace my unusable microwave with a competitor’s brand and will pledge never to purchase a GE appliance again. Just bought a Monogram dishwasher one week ago, and the front sound barrier fell off. The service man came out, took a look, and said it was not a big deal. I questioned him why it fell off within such a short period. He stated that it was GEs policy: to make Monogram quieter than competitors, they put in sound barrier in front. However, it fell off often. Since it does not affect how the dishwasher work, GE does not believe that it is a big deal. Therefore, no need for quality control, and he will use new glue to glue it back. No guarantee that it will not fall off later... What is GE stand on the engineering products any more? I loaded and ran the GE Profile dishwasher in the evening. Later that evening, putrid odor of undetermined origin was noted in the house. I searched throughout house to find the cause, but it was not located. The next morning, the dishwasher was found to be extremely hot on the outer surface (door) and countertop. The heated dry light was on along with the start button, which would not reset or turn off. The unit had to be disconnected by turning the electrical breaker off. All contents were either melted or had a strange brown film, along with broken tines and melted silverware rack in the dishwasher. Even the water dispenser in the bottom of the dishwasher was melted or broken. A GE service representative was called and his report stated: Unit was left on for too long and heat caused excessive damage to the product. Due to excessive damage, unit is non-repairable. He shared with me he had never seen this much damage done to a dishwasher. I spoke to GE consumer advocates twice and their solution is to provide me a discounted price on a new appliance and the email address for formal complaints. When I inquired about if there had been resolution to the cause of this problem because I wanted to make a formal complaint, I was told there is not a safety issue with the heating unit. I then spoke to a GE resource person in recall and she shared with me that it is a known issue of overheating and destroying contents, but it has not caused a fire. Igniting a fire is a justification for a recall - can we not be proactive? This department is working with me and ensured that in newer models this potential hazard does not exist. But other consumers who have purchased in this model (PDW9280N20SS) should be aware of the potential fire hazard. Everything was very hot inside and out. Consequences: the 3-year-old dishwasher (that I use about once per week) was totally ruined and I inhaled potentially toxic fumes for over 8 hours.

This unit was purchased at Lowes on 11/22/16 and installed by our plumber shortly thereafter. Its not even 6 months old! It was poor at drying at first and then stopped drying altogether about a month ago. The GE Customer Service has sent a repairman here on 4 occasions in the past few weeks, sent faulty parts, including an element and a board (Im guessing that they mean a motherboard) but it is still swimming in water. Ive asked them to replace the dishwasher, to which they have refused. Yes we are irate, and rightly so. Whatever happened to quality manufacturing and decent customer service? I will never buy another GE product again. There should be lemon laws for appliances. Now we are being informed that the parts are back ordered until September, but that they might be able to get them from California on or about the 25th. Their apologies mean nothing when they do not back it up by amending the situation in an appropriate manner. By the way it takes 256 minutes for a full cycle. The plus side is that it is very quiet, but Im not sure how energy efficient a dishwasher can be that runs that blasted long. It doesnt clean very well either. I purchased my new home equipped with all new G.E. Profile stainless appliances. Three years after that, our microwave (model number JE2160SFS01) had the magnetron go bad - no problem. I called G.E. and had a tech come out and replace it ($79.95). Great! 4 years later, it goes out again. But it’s still covered under warranty (cool). I call them, set up appointment, and ask what the charges will be - $79.95 home service fee. Fantastic! I schedule the appointment, and three days later, a technician comes to my home. I tell him it’s the magnetron, and he turns on the microwave for a second. He says yup and types his diagnosis into his laptop and prints out his estimate. He hands it to me, and it says “Total amount $ 270.10”! On a covered part!I asked him if he was joking, because the M.S.R.P. for that model, which I got from G.E., is... wait for it... $269.00 for the whole microwave oven! I threw the tech out and called their consumer advocate line (which took over an hour to talk to a human) and asked who sets their pricing for repairs, and was told their senior technicians set the labor charges! It’s a twenty-minute job! $190.00 for twenty minutes? So the tech left with $79.95 for doing absolutely nothing! Great job General Electric! I will never buy another product from you again! By the way, the magnetron they say is priced at $142.30 is available online for $97.50! It takes twenty minutes to replace, and a monkey can do it!

I just remodeled my kitchen back in May of 2012. My wife and I started looking for the appliances and we decided to get the GE Cafe series set (dishwasher, cooktop, electric oven and microwave). Our microwave oven, model CVM1790SS1SS, developed a humming noise as soon as you closed the door. It does sound like the magnetron is on. To verify that, I filled a cup with cold water and I put it inside and closed the door without setting any cooking time. After three minutes, the water was too hot to touch. I called GE and told them that it was a fire hazard. They sent one of their technicians and he determined that it was not a fire hazard and if I wanted it fixed, I have to pay for it. How could he say its not? If I close the door, the oven is going to continue heating up until it burns itself and everything else around it. Our dishwasher has gotten very warm mid-cycle and now trips the breaker in the house each time we run the cycle. The problem became evident in April 2012. We have called in a GE repair person to fix it and they said it was a heating issue and not repairable. We have not used it since, but have not replaced it with a new one yet. In August, we read about the recall of a similar model number manufactured within same time frame. Our machine model is PDW7300J03WW, the recalled model is PDW7. Our machines serial # is **. Strangely, the serial number is not listed in the recall, even though symptoms are exactly the same!We have called GE Consumer Affairs at 1-800-386-1215 four times, the most recent today, 9/14/2012. Each time we call, we are left on hold for 59 minutes only to be disconnected automatically! I am sending a registered letter to GE CA with a copy of this link and intend to contact my local news if I do not receive sufficient response within the week. Does GE need to see an actual fire report from my fire department or worse in order to get their attention to replace the unit? It is disgraceful and extremely dangerous.

I received a recall on my original wall oven with microwave unit, and was only going to receive financial help from GE, if I replaced it with the same unit model JTP90. The unit was only 3 years old at the time. I purchased the new model, which cost $1,200.00, and received a check from GE for $600.00 for the recall, which is already a rip off in my opinion. I had the new unit for 14 months, when the microwave stopped working completely, with no power whatsoever. I thought it had blown a fuse. I took it to the repair center, and they tell me the diode, capacitor, and fuse have all failed. $200 later, it can be fixed, but they have no idea why all three went out at the same time. I, however, do know, GE just makes junk! I will never purchase another GE appliance. Just a side note, my 3 year old dishwasher was also recalled, and it was $600 to replace it with the same model. They sent me a check for $300. It sounds like GE has a good thing going. I took the day off of work for this repair!I called GE again and was told to call Consumer Relations who apologized and scheduled a second call with AT BAY, apparently the only company who can repair in the SF Bay Area. Guess what? They say they never received the repair order and that I have to call GE. Again, I took a day off for this repair. What is this? Ive never experienced such poor service in my life.

We built our house and purchased a NEW close out Advantium Microwave. Due to delays we were not able to get into the house and use the appliance until literally 1 month after the WTY expired. The KEYPAD is shorted. There are a number of these complaints for this microwave - so we arranged for service. $375 dollars later - it was ALMOST working and the repair service determined that a new keyboard would be needed. 5 mos later we are kindly asked to take a refund of our repair bill and forget the whole thing - the part is not available! REALLY?! $2000 for a microwave, and you dont even support it?! Last - LAST time I put trust in GE. SCB2000FBB 03

Slow leak that caused E4 code to beep incessantly! Had a warranty repair person look at it... Turns out the new dishwasher has a faulty seam that in fact leaks! This is all fine until... one has to make numerous calls to the GE warranty line, which should be called a WARNING Line. The customer service rep was very rude and reprimanded us for not noticing the leak sooner, he seemed to not believe we had any issue... All because they could not find the service repair # that was submitted.Anyway, two weeks later we still wash our dishes and NO one has called us back from GE with any answers... SO FRUSTRATING! DO NOT BUY A GE PRODUCT whatever you do... This company has the worst customer service and warranty program. We make our daily call in hopes of being looked after one day... They keep telling us that a manager has to approve the replacement of this POC unit we spent $917 on!!! My business partner is about to purchase 20 GE dishwashers for his apartment block... I guarantee that his order will change after we chat this weekend! Thoroughly done with ALL GE products after this nightmare!

Good dishwasher for the price. Racks are well designed except utensil basket takes up lot of room. Given forks and knife rack at top, basket is not needed. Dishwasher flies at night.

About two years ago I moved into my condo and as a housewarming gift my sister gave me money to buy a microwave oven. I bought a GE over the range microwave. Well it quit over two months ago - really disappointed. I bought the next one but now after reading all these similar experiences I am sorry I bought the same problem.

I purchased a full suite of GE Monogram Appliances about 5 years ago. All are fine except the microwave which was made in China. The back is rusting out, the inside is chipping at the door and moisture builds up in the door window. This progressive deterioration has taken place over the past 5 years. I paid $420 for the microwave plus $226 for the trim kit. Now, all GE wants to do is sell me a new unit and a new trim kit (will not fit old trim kit). I paid approximately $20,000 for the entire group. I bought GE because I trusted the name. Im stuck with GE if I want to match the remaining appliances. There are only two people living in this house so there is only minimal usage. To further complicate things, there is no serial number on the tag.

Have had my GE dishwasher for 15 years. Had initial problem with inner liner pulling away but got GE to replace unit. Has worked fine ever since. Nothing fancy just gets the dishes clean. Would have liked a bit more adjustability with the shelves.

GE is the only manufacturer who still makes an under cabinet size microwave
GE is the only manufacturer who still makes an under cabinet size microwave and therefore I use this product. I renovated my kitchen 14 years ago and on my second microwave. It is small, but does do its job, but when I work with a larger microwave I realize how different it is due to its size and less powerful.

We bought a GE dishwasher and a GE oven/micro combo. We were told that we would have them in a week but it took three and a half weeks to get them. The dishwasher was damaged/defective and did not work; water leaked all over the floor several times and dishes wouldnt wash. They would not replace the unit but insisted that they had to service it. A couple more weeks passed and the repairman had to return thrice to finally get it to work. The microwave had a bent door that did not lineup properly when closed. Again, another repair was scheduled and we had to experience another service call. I have never had a worse experience buying appliances than I had at Pacific Sales. Kwam, the manager does not return phone calls. He made promises of helping us with a discount because of our troubles but has not kept those promises. Their contract installers are inept and unkempt. My appliances do not seem new since they were repaired and the door on the microwave is still not lined up as a new unit should be.This experience was an unmitigated disaster that should not happen to any consumer. Never will I buy anything from Pacific Sales or their parent Best Buy again. These problems are created by their management and their management does not care.

This GE CVM2072SM1SS Microwave (over-range model) worked fine for five year
This GE CVM2072SM1SS Microwave (over-range model) worked fine for five years. Then, we discovered the plastic film over the touchscreen starting to peel. After a bit of wrangling with Consumer Relations, they sent me a replacement touchscreen. The LCD didnt display properly, so they sent me another one. It worked for three months, then in the middle of programming to reheat some food, we got the following error message: Control Fault, Shorted touchscreen - F10. The control has detected a shorted touchscreen and has shut off the oven. It may still be possible to use the oven. However, if this message continues to appear, your oven will require service. The only way to clear the message was to unplug the unit. No amount of replugging in cleared the message. I called GE and they said they would replace the entire unit with a new model under some program they had. Sounded fine to me. I left the house. When I returned, I received a message that their representative called back to say they would not replace the unit, since the program had expired. Huh? I called again, and after a bunch more wrangling, they agreed to send a service tech out and replace whatever needed replacing or fixing at no charge. Of course, they never really made a notation of that, so when he got here, he had to get on the phone and sort it out. Finally, he replaced the touchscreen. Lets see how long it lasts this time.

I moved into a house with the dishwasher already installed and it didnt work. We closed it so we didnt use electricity but it started and wouldnt stop. The power button is broken. It just sits there and the lights are always lit. I tried calling for help but the workers were very unhelpful. I called a different number and was waiting a whole five minutes and no one picked up!

My GE Adora microwave is about 6 years old and for the last year it has had an issue with moisture in-between the glass front door. It was streaky and now I have cloudy blotches. Called GE repair and it would cost close to $90 just for service call not including parts/labor. Think twice before purchasing this microwave. Not a happy consumer.

We purchased our GE dishwasher in September 2014. In December 2014 the dishwasher started to make a loud grinding noise. I contacted GE and a repair man was sent promptly to do the repair. Upon arrival and looking at the dishwasher he advised me that it was the motor. He then stated that he would order the parts and also stated that he did not have the correct tool to remove the motor and has not had one since they have changed the manufacturing process. At this time I am still waiting for the parts and I have contacted GE numerous times to find that the parts were either on back order or had been shipped out. I am still waiting for the parts and the repairs to be done. The estimated date of the parts to arrive is January 29th. At that time I will have been without a dishwasher for a month that I have just purchased.

GE jvm1750sp1ss microwave - bought in 2010, less than 4 years old has stopped working. Lights are on, but when we hit the start button we hear a small pop and nothing else. The clock does work counting down but nothing else. I happen to love this microwave, it was a gift for my wife. It now no longer works and cannot afford a new one. Option 1: replace parts myself for 150.00. Option 2: call a technician for 200.00 plus parts or option 3: do without. Option 4: wait to afford a new one. I guess all things grow old but we should have enough history on these items to post a life span. Well a story like this usually falls on deaf ears but if someone is reading, make the suggestion on the life span or make the parts affordable. Thank you.

Model WES1130 GE Microwave - The entire interior of the microwave just star
Model WES1130 GE Microwave - The entire interior of the microwave just started peeling off the coating/finish around 3 years after purchase. The turntable wheel guide path totally disintegrated the finish of the path. It still worked but was so unsightly and disgusting to look into the interior and possibly dangerous to eat anything that had been put inside to cook. I just got rid of it. I purchased another GE Model JES1460DSBB and it started malfunctioning after 3 weeks. I returned it and will not buy another GE product.

Its a over the range model & came with a house purchase. It’s worked flawlessly for over 5 years now - even after being left with no air conditioning in FL for months on end. The only thing I could think to make it better is making it easier to choose longer length cook times. Button for half min & dial for all the rest can be irritating for your 16 min food.

I wish I had found this complaint section before I purchased my microwave. Bought model HVM1750DP1CC in May of 2010. Now, 3 years later, all of a sudden theres no power to the unit. The wall outlet is fine. There were no storms around here when it went out. It just seemed to fry itself! The repair/troubleshooting instructions tell you to get a licensed technician to check this and check that because of the voltage. They give you a flowchart to troubleshoot it yourself, but no pictures to go with the diagram. Sure I can check the fuses, if I knew where they are!GE - NEVER AGAIN FOR ME. Wish we still had good-valued products Made in the USA. This one is made in Malaysia. NOT WORTH IT. Time to sell the GE stock too. Their products suck and class action suits will probably follow. Kris is Pissed!

I also have a GE Profile dishwasher with malfunctioning wheels. I read this site, and was comforted and enraged that I was not alone with my melting wheels. I sent GE customer service a note, explaining my problem. I also included a link to this site in my note. I explained that I was a loyal GE customer and that they should stand behind their products although my unit was no longer covered under warranty and did not qualify for the recall. GE responded to my e-mail with in 12 hours. They sent me a complete set of new wheels for my bottom rack free of charge, and sent out a technician to install them, again free of charge. They also e-mailed me to make sure I was happy and no longer had concerns. I am thrilled with my experience. Let me say that again I e-mailed GE and within 8 days (a holiday included), I had new wheels and a technician to install them at no charge.
