I have a 2010 and repeatedly have issues. It has been to the dealer as it completely lost power in rush hour. Car dash said Service ABS, power, saver mode, traction control, service ESC and then died. I took to shop and they replaced the PCM is what they told me. Car has since had lose of power, sluggish, dies periodically, and now almost 3 years after thousand dollar repair not to mention the air bag light that is on that they are telling me will cost at least 1000 dollars as well to repair as my car is out of warranty and that it is a safety concern. My car died again while coming through a intersection and the P0341 has come up and been replaced four times since February 2019. This car is a danger and I am forced to drive it when it runs as I have so much money invested I cant afford a new one. I have also replaced the throttle body and just about every sensor under the hood including spark plugs and battery and car is still acting up. Why are they not helping us. Someone is going to get killed. It stalls suddenly and with little to no warning. I am terrified to transport my kids in this car. Please help us…

We purchased a new GMC Terrain Auto 2011 and a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze in November 2011. We had trouble with 2011 GMC Terrain, 6 speed transmission, not shifting properly and getting only 24mpg on the highway and 22 around town. This was reported to GM Head Quarters in February 2012 and GM complaint people called me several times, but they tried to convince me that I expected too much. I told them all I wanted was to have the 6 speed transmission shift properly, and then I would probably get better mileage. The service department at Fox Chevrolet in Negaunee, Michigan tried it out and they insisted that there was nothing wrong. They said I was probably trying to compare my GMC Terrain with my 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, which shifted real good and got 39mpg on highway and 34mpg around town all the time. They also told me that after I put another 5,000 miles on my GMC Terrain, it would probably be better. We now have over 14,000 miles on it and I am complaining once again. The main reason is gas is so expensive and GM advertises 30mpg on highway and about 26 to 28mpg in town. So my complaint is false advertising, on the part of GM. So, I am requesting that you correct this problem. Thank you. Also, I have been a GM customer for over 25 years.

Transmission gone in 2011 Cruze. Worst car I have ever bought. Problems from the minute we got this car home. No longer under warranty and hundreds of complaints on this piece of junk. This company needs to recall or get sued!!! Radio quit working, turbo replaced three times. Car was well maintained, just simply a really bad car.

Where do I begin? GM Canada is a joke. I bought a 2019 GMC elevation blacked out edition in summer of 2019 and the first 500 km the tailgate started falling on me for no reason so I went to Prouse Motors in Sault Ontario to get warranty for the tailgate. They got ahold of gm Canada and they told them they will not fix the tailgate BC there was no known issues with them yet (forgot to mention I had my utility trailer on the back and the jack stand scratched and dented the ** outta the tailgate) so basically they said I was ** and the only way I would get a new tailgate is if it drops when someone from prouse motors was driving it. What a joke right? So after 4 times they had my truck it finally dropped. Took close to 5 months to get a new tailgate after that and Ive been back 3 times because of the paint job on it and tailgate being loose. While all that crap was going on I started to have transmission problems and its been to the dealer many many times and still to this very day its still not fixed. Then at 4000 km the steering column locked up on me and they had to put a new column in and the speakers on the passenger side of the truck went all ** on me. Ive either called or been to the dealership every week since I own this truck this truck has been nothing but a nightmare. I tried to plead my case and to get gm to buy the truck off me and put me in something else BC the truck is a LEMON. The only thing they would do is give me 2000$ towards a trade in so they expect me to lose my ** on the trade in and Pay more monthly for a plain Jane p.o.s I never in my life had such piss poor service than gm and the dealer. I will NEVER in my lifetime own another gm product. I will go buy a Ford or a Dodge before Ill even think about gm piss poor trucks... Before you buy a truck from gm I recommend take the time and read all the review. The only review I noticed that have 5 stars is the people who only owned the truck for couple weeks to a month. Steer away from GMC or Chevy. Dont make the same mistake I did. One pissed off GMC truck owner

I bought a used Equinox in 2015, it was a 2011 model. I loved the SUV. It was my dream ride, lovely interior. Sound ride. Within a year and half, had to replace the transmission, but I was under warranty. Other issues arose where the repairs came out of my pocket. Recently the car was using excessive amounts of oil. I took it to the Waldorf, MD dealership, found out there was an oil consumption issue, the dealership wanted to charge me 6000 to 8000 to repair or replace the engine. The representative on the phone quoted those prices like I could just dig into my unlimited funds and pay this amount. Apparently the assumption is that we all had reams of money laying around to spend. Apparently, the car had a warranty for this issue which expired at 120,000 miles or 7 years. The SUV only had 98,000 miles, but unfortunately for me the clock started on the 7 years the day it was put in the showroom, and not the day I bought it. I reached out to GM and was informed the best they would offer me is 10 percent off the repair work. In the meantime I looked up my issue, and found GM had agreed to settle a lawsuit dealing with this issue, but the suit had not been finalized as of my complaint 10/7/2019. Its, shameful that a company as big as GM, who touts its reputation on producing top notch cars/SUVs and providing excellent customer service, would basically say 10 percent is the best I can do, when there is an outstanding lawsuit. Way to go GMs, you should be proud of yourselves.

Why is it when the recalls on Pontiac hit the news, oh GM did this and GM did that but the other problems are for people who have these cars financed? You go through KBB or Auto-trader for a quote on what your car is worth and its nowhere near what you owe on the car even with a less than 4% finance rate. Even with your car being in great shape, you still cant get what its worth but then you check the dealerships for the same car and its 4000, 5000, even as much as 6000 more than your KBB and Auto Trader and these cars arent in as good of shape as yours. This is another problem that GM has caused and the dealerships are being paid to fix the cars by GM and then clearing $4000.00 or more on the sales of these cars. Its not right to the persons who have to pay for these cars to never get back what the cars are worth. Come on, GM. Step up and buy these cars back and then you try to sell them and see how quick your mistakes are putting the blue collar man in the hole.

It would seem that General Motors doesn’t understand customer satisfaction. Before today, if you would ever ask me what car to buy, I would always recommend a GM vehicle. It will be long time before I do that again. Through my local dealer I ordered a part 2 weeks ago, for which they took my money to order it, the part has shipped to one of the GM warehouses, who doesn’t seem to have any urgency to release to the dealer from which I purchased it.Even the dealer has no luck requesting the release of the part and GM customer service says I have to work through the dealer to get the part released because once it has shipped from GM, GM is no longer responsible for it, even though, according to my local dealer, this warehouse 75 is the GM centralized distribution center. I am now waiting on a supervisor from GM customer service to call me back. 24 to 48 hours although in the meantime I am stuck driving on a cracked GM rim that could go out at any time. Being a GM owner all my adult life, this has me frustrated and has developed a true regret in standing by GM all these years. General Motors, you have lost a long term supporter.

I love my GMC Envoy. Very enjoyable ride and mo mechanical problems at all. Im enjoying the multiple CD player and the deep bucket seats. I love the leather interior, the moonroof and the dual closure. I also like the door and window locks, the automatic seats and that they remember which driver you are. I like the interior design and the colors of both interior and exterior. The seats are very comfortable as well. I dislike however how far back the seat belts are attached. Also the center console takes up a lot of space but the way its designed it doesnt hold much so its wasting space.

My 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, while still covered by GM’s Factory Power Train Warranty, had two frayed injector wire connectors that were repaired/replaced by GM Authorized dealers using Genuine GM Parts (that come a one-year warranty). A couple months later I pulled into Casper Buick GMC Cadillac (“CASPER GMC”) and was told that 2 injectors had failed but they would be covered 100% by my warranty. Therefore, I approved the work. Later when I went to pick up my truck they told me it would not be covered by warranty and that I needed to personally pay them $2,231.04 or they would not give me my keys or release my truck to me.For two months since then, I’ve made repeated unsuccessful attempts to get a satisfactory resolution and have experienced:(i) Repeated broken promises from Matt **, of CASPER GMC and from and Jay from GM Customer Care (“GM”) to get back to me;(ii) CASPER GMC’s and GM’s willful disregard of the promises made to owners like me in GM’s Factory Power Train Warranty;(iii) CASPER GMC’s repeated and unwarranted refusal to file my warranty claim with GM, despite the fact that my truck is still under GM Factory Warranty for both the injectors (GM Factory Power Train Warranty), and the connector wires (GM Genuine Parts Warranty); and(iv) I was told by Jay at GM Customer Care that if I sought guidance from my attorney, even if such guidance did not include my filing suit, he would no longer be able to speak with me about this issue.(v) I was told by Casper GMC to contact GM Customer Care and was told by GM Customer Care to contact Casper GMC.Casper GMC and GM Customer Care do a good job of watching each other’s back but totally ignore the backs of customers like me.If this sounds like fun to you, please go straight to Casper GMC and buy a truck. Yuk!

I have a 2005 Pontiac g6 and I received a letter saying my car was on recall for the power steering, which I was glad to find that out cause my steering has been messed up since I got the car. But heres my problem: sometimes my power steering light will come on across my dash and sometimes it dont and whats wrong is I lose complete steering and it jerks really bad, and I dont have no control over it. When I drive down the highway and it does it, Im lucky that Im able to pull over. When I called gmc and told them the problem they said that has nothing to do with my power steering recall, has to be something else. All I would like is answer or something. Im risking not only my life but my sons life driving this car the way it is. It also will shut off on me when the steering goes out and then dont wanna start back up. My headlights will fade and flash too.

We bought a 2017 Chevy Silverado new. We drove it off the lot and on our way home it started stuttering. We took it back several times to the dealership. We were told things such as: GM knew there was a problem but couldnt fix it, it needed to get used to the way we drive, it needs broke in. Two years down the road it continues to have problems and they are only getting bigger. GM will not stand behind the fact that there is something wrong with this truck and make it right. We drove our last Chevy truck for 12 years and now are hesitant to continue to drive GM products. They advertise as the working mans truck but wont stand behind it when there is a problem.

General Motors customer service personnel Romina refuses to call you back. If you do receive a call from her and miss it, she will leave you a message saying that she will call you back in 24 hours! If you call her right back and beg on her message to call you back, nothing! No calls! I have left her 16 voicemails begging for her help. I have left messages with her colleagues, where they in fact send her a message on her computer asking her to call me back. Nothing! Nothing! Nothing! Four days with no car and no repairs being authorized. By the way, this is all over a $35,000 Tahoe that the engine blew up in at 41,000 miles, a problem that should have been rectified in the first place.

I have a 2002 Chevy Express Van 2500. I’m the original owner. I have about 98000 miles, first time. I just learned that the ABS sensors need to be replaced. It cost a total of about $600.00. The cargo side door that opens first on the passenger’s side is very hard to open. It’s almost stuck. I have applied grease, oil, etc. to the hinge, the lower hinge is the one that is super stuck. I am sure that the manufacturing process is the cause for this, nothing elseHow about the NTSB being notified? I can also mention that the fuel pump went out about 20,000 to 30,000 ago. The cost is over $1000.00. I have never heard of a fuel pump going out. I had lost time and wages and it’s dangerous. They make great vehicles, but the overall components are the pits after 30,000 miles.

1998 GMC Jimmy SLE 4x4 has automatic locks and windows and child safety. The truck area has extra space. You can put the space under truck and can fit quite bit on truck. Good name and run good. Easy to fix if something goes wrong. Truck has 4x4 drive, keypad alarm, and fog lights. Seats are automated. Its very easy to drive. It has back windshield wipers. Inside lights and brakes work great. Its good on gas. The truck lets us know if we need to check any kind of gadgets and lets us know gas and the mileage. It is very easy to handle and very easy to drive and fix. It can fit five people. Usually it has two adults, three kids in car seats in truck. Its comfortable to take it in long rides most of the dang time. It does good in the rain as long as you check the air in tires. Check everything else before you go out and about... And we can open the back to sit or even camp out or to sit by fire or go to park or even go through drive in. We can open back and lay back to watch the movie at the drive in. We like it very much cause of the room and what it has. Love it in every way. Best truck I ever got.

At a dealership visit in October of 2016, they said they were going to do a recall. I thought that was good, hadnt recalled seeing a recall notice in the mail but found it later on at home in the pile. So after reading it, I realized they didnt follow the protocol for performing the safety recall. They skipped replacing a part which it clearly states needed replacement on my specific truck. So I called the dealer and just asked if they actually replaced the part or just updated the one currently in the truck. They said no, no replacement just an update.I left it at that, as I had a horrible experience dealing with the service manager on a separate issue but on the same day the truck got the recall done. After inquiring at another dealer I was told they werent able to even look into it because GM already paid ** dealership to do the work. So a call to the 1800-customerscomelast folks at the customer care center really ties it all together as they now know Im driving with a known defective airbag pretensioner. To add more to it, the district manager has put a me on a blacklist at what seems to be every dealer within 100 miles. So where to go for warranty on pile of crap??? SCUMBAGS.

The transmission on my 2010 Terrain failed at less than 52,000 miles and GMC has done nothing to help me. I have never heard of a transmission failing this early on a car that has been well maintained. When I initially brought it into my GMC dealer, all they were interested in was if I had an extended warranty (I did not) and told me if I needed a new trans, it would cost $ 6000 - $ 7000. Not being able to afford that and not being able to afford a new car, I took it to a local trans repair shop and had the trans rebuilt for $ 2750. When GMC was contacted after that to see if they would reimburse at least part of the cost, they told me they only work with their dealers and if I had gone to the dealer maybe they wouldve done something for me.Clearly they do not stand behind their products. Since they would be hard pressed to find anyone who would say it is normal for a trans to fail this early, that should be all they need to know and they should do what they can to make it right for the consumer. I am with others on this site who have stated they will never buy another GM/GMC product. The really sad part for me is I LOVED my Terrain, until it completely failed and I didnt.

I have gotten a 2012 GMC Terrain in May 2012. I had been driving it since and I had brought it back for service three times. My MPG had been dropping from 10-20mpg and I only drive about .7 miles and it drops to 15mpg. My car shut off a couple of times when I drove it after I auto-started it (which every other car my family own this never happen). I told the service department and dealership, and showed the picture of my car. They said there is no problem but they never showed me any reading on the scan test they did. My car pulls and shacks every time you fill it up. Also, when you drive on the highway and at 400 RPM, it gets stuck between 400-500 RPM. The major thing is its all controlled by a computer which turns my airbags on in the passenger seat when I have my hand across the middle of the seat without touching it. I only have 1980 miles on my car. I called GMC itself up and they said they cant do anything because service said no problem with car. The paperwork they gave said between 16 City and 23 Highway mpg but my car reads only 9.9mpg which doesnt meet what the law says on my car or what my paperwork state on the car. Also, I had two gallons left and my gas light never turns on. But two weeks ago, I had four gallons left and the light turned on.

In May 2019 my son purchased a New 2019 1500 Silverado Trail Boss. He graduated college, got a great job and needed a pickup. He actually purchased the truck 1 month before he graduated because of Chevy Truck Month. Last month we noticed that light passed through the bed of the truck into the wheel well. Looking into the wheel well we saw a 3 split in the wheel well that went through the bed liner. We took it to the dealership and they suggested a patch to weld the steel of the truck and a patch for the factory bedliner because General Motors will not do anything else under warranty. A 6 month old Truck with 8,000 miles that he paid $48k has a defect and General Motors will patch it. Patch the wheel well, the bed and the bedliner?I called General Motors after a complaint/claim was filed and spoke to, a Senior Advisor of Customer assistance. She claimed even though they came to that resolution they have no idea how the body shop is going to fix it, they dont know how or even if they are going to fix the bed liner. I was told nobody at customer service knows anything about the construction of the vehicle because they do not have the technical training for that. I asked to give me to someone who did have that technical training to answer my questions regarding the bed material, the patch if its a weld, etc and I was told there is no one that could help me. I was also told there was no management above the Senior Advisor, my response was you dont have a boss to which she replied, yes I have a boss so I asked to speak with him/her and apparently her boss, the head of the customer assistance branch of General Motors does not talk to customers. The Senior Advisor said GM only will replace the bed if it has multiple defects. When I said It is going to look like it has been patched and then this was the last straw she actually said Well, like I told your son if it doesnt look good, he could replace the truck bed and pay for it on his own. THE TRUCK WAS $48,000, IT IS 6 MONTHS OLD, HAS 8,000 MILES AND GM SUGGESTS THE CUSTOMER SHOULD PAY FOR A REPLACEMENT OF A GENERAL MOTORS DEFECT?? At the end of the conversation GMs final resolution was a patch and that the work would be under warranty for 12 month and if it didnt look like new the customer could pay for the replacement. My questions are: 1. What about the bed and wheel well that have be exposed to rain since it was manufactured will there be corrosion? 2. What about the fact that he now has a less than Excellent Carfax report showing body work making the car less valuable to sell or trade in? 3. What about he has a patched bedliner and sheet steel weld patch on a New truck? Are they going to cover any problems stemming from this fix?4. Why would it ever be acceptable for your a Senior Advisor in customer service to suggest more than once that if the patch for a factory defect decreases value or negatively affects the aesthetics of the new vehicle then the customer could pay for it.I have owned 10 General Motors vehicles in my life some trucks, some cars, suv. I guarantee you I will NEVER buy another GM product, my kids and family will never buy a gm product, I am disgusted they will not stand behind their product or the quality of their product. We asked GM replace the bed not the vehicle and they wont even replace the FACTORY installed liner. General Motors is a disgrace to Made in the USA products.

Leased a 2019 Colorado crew cab long box 4x4 on Dec 12, 2018. Fuel gauge has not worked properly since taking possession. Has been back to dealer 2 times now with no resolve. Truck has now developed a nasty rumbling sensation (like driving over rumble strips) at all speeds with it being more noticeable at 55 or above. Dealer states that this is due to the wrong transmission fluid being used in the 8 speed transmission but they (dealership) does not have the required tools to drain and replace fluid. Gas gauge issue is still not resolved. Requested a GM buyback of vehicle three weeks ago. (Truck has under 1000 miles on it) Have finally heard back from GM and they agree to buy back the truck. Now I have to figure out what to buy. Note: I also leased a 2019 Traverse LT for my wife the same day. I am thinking that these will be my last GM products.

I have been a client of General Motors for 17 years and have bought several of what I believed to be your high-quality vehicles. I purchased an Acadia in 2013. About 2-3 months ago, I noticed that the paint on the hood of the car was bubbling up. I brought it to the dealership, Morrissey GMC, in Rockville Centre, NY. I was told by the service representative that I was no longer covered by the warranty because I had exceeded 36,000 miles, even though I have an extended warranty.I brought the car to 3 other body shops, and I was told that the bubbling was a result of a defect in the paint. GMC should stand by their product, regardless of the car’s mileage, and repair it at no expense to me because regardless of the age or mileage of the car, the issue at hand is that the paint is defective—which is a quality control issue. In addition, I spoke to a customer service representative regarding this issue, and she said that GMC would not pay for the repair in full, they would cover approximately half of the expense. She refused to send an engineer to examine the car, stated that her decision was final, and would not allow me to speak with one of her superiors. Why should a client be responsible for a quality control issue, this is an expense that is normally incurred and covered by any respectable corporation. In addition, refusing to refer a client to a superior to resolve an issue is very unprofessional. Isn’t the client always right? This obviously isn’t the case with GMC. Aside from being a longtime client, I have referred people to GMC and purchases have been made a result of my referrals. I can honestly say that I expected better from a long-standing American Corporation that is supposed to pride itself and represent what used to be considered a corporation that set the standard for other American vehicle companies.Needless to say, I will not be referring GMC to anyone in the future and this letter will also be submitted to the Better Business Bureau as I don’t believe it is in good practice or professional to hold the client responsible for quality control issues, or for a customer service representative to ultimately determine the outcome of any situation when a client asks to speak to their superior.

Calling GM customer service is a waste of time and effort. Little to nothing is accomplished describes their service, not to mention the misinformation and poor, poor customer care. Better to file a formal complaint with the FTC. People who buy GM vehicles beware. There is relatively zero customer service, from the GM perspective. Consumers deserve better.

My 2013 GMC Terrain has turned into the worst investment I have ever made. The abs light keeps coming on along with the stabilitrak light. When this happens the abs activates and the car doesnt stop well. Also this error code shuts off the all wheel drive. This is a major safety issue and when I brought it to the dealer they said its a bearing and the hub needs to be replaced at my cost. So when I called gm I spoke to senior service advisor who assured me they would contact the dealer and assist me with the cost. After some 30 phone calls Mary sr#** never returned my call nor did she contact the dealer. So I called and spoke to someone else who told me that gmc was not going to help me and that I could not escalate the problem any further. I drive my kids around in this car and due to the safety issue I have no choice but to get the repair completed at more than $400 cost. I think the service is the worst part of the whole thing. I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to buy from gm, they do not care about their customers at all. My next car will be a Honda.

I bought a new Chevy because I was tired of sinking money into my old car, and I figured I would rather have a car payment and a reliable car than put money in my old car. But now Im doing both because the 2013 Chevy Sonic I have is a lemon. Every month now I make a $300 car payment and I sink money into the Sonic because its broke down. Last month I pay $900 to have a water pump and radiator put in the month before that it was $250 for the motor for the driver side window. I cant afford this anymore. I am a 53 year old disable single woman who is on SSDI and Chevy will not do anything to help me. This is the 3rd Chevy Ive owned in my lifetime. Never never again.

My 2012 Cruze that purchased in FL Dec 2011 had no cruise control. So I had the Dealer install it before the vehicle left the lot. Over a week ago my car started acting weird. It wouldnt go over 38 mph and it would show traction control - say the car was overheating and would go in Idle mode and said it needed to save power. Now I currently live in PA and took it to the closest dealer. The dealership told me that cruise control was installed improperly and needs to be removed because the wiring is spliced and it would cost me $214 with the diagnostic fee and the uninstallation. I was upset at this point because I didnt understand why I would have to pay to have something I paid to have put in uninstalled and I wont have it now? So I then contacted the dealership in FL to see if they would credit me back since the cruise control was put in improperly according to the dealership my car is at currently. From going back and forth and waiting for a call back, I finally got a call back to find out from the FL dealership that it was an aftermarket cruise control that was installed and that the module just needed to be changed and that’s it. So I called the dealership in PA and they said since it’s an aftermarket piece they didnt know that and there is nothing they can do. So I contacted GM and spoke to a rep Lauren there who I have been dealing with over a week to only get NOTHING resolved, and everyone just wants to play the he said she said game and not take responsibility for this and their employees not knowing what they are doing! I am upset and dont know what to do at this point. I am out of a cruise control and now have to pay for their mistake? This just doesnt seem right to me. I am still waiting on a call back from Lauren’s supervisor at GM customer service as well. This is my third car I purchased from this company and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I dont understand why a customer knows more information on this than their actual employees and now I have to pay for this?

I purchased a 2011 GMC Yukon with 82K miles from Carmax. I paid $29K for this vehicle. This had the 5.3L engine & 4WD which is needed here in MI. At 125K miles the transmission gave out - no prolonged degradation, just failure over 1-2 days. I purchased a remanufactured transmission costing $3K (including installation). Adding more injury, GM charged me $200 to flash the transmission. Then at 140K miles, StabiliTrak and Traction Control codes appear along with the check engine light. The engine started running rough at idle with slightly reduced gas mileage. I changed the plugs, plug wires and coil to no avail. Analytics would show random misfire for cylinder 8. Compression check showed the cylinder was 60 psi low. Leak-down test showed the problem was either the camshaft or a lifter, meaning engine replacement. Ive taken good care of this vehicle with regular service and am extremely disappointed I couldnt get more mileage out of the engine. BTW, this is the 2nd GMC where both the engine and transmission had to be replaced at similar mileage (a 1985 GMC Jimmy). GMC is not the Professional Grade they claim to be, but the opposite. I will never purchase another GMC vehicle.

Takata admitted there was a passenger side airbag defect a decade past. I owned a 2008 Silverado with that airbag installed. GM continually said my vehicle was not due for a replacement for years. Today I got a notice that my Silverado WAS involved in GM Recall N212328760... the same recall they told me for years did not involve my vehicle. I sold that vehicle three months ago and just got the notice from GM... today. From the language in todays letter it becomes obvious to me that they were just fine with allowing me to drive a dangerous vehicle after telling me it wasnt dangerous. There seems to hint that something illegal has happened here wherein GM knowingly put the owners of these vehicles in mortal danger.

I purchased an extended warranty directly from GM, a Platinum warranty that was supposed to be bumper to bumper coverage at the cost of $3400 for my 2013 Chevy Avalanche. I did have to have 1 air shock and compressor replaced but I always replaced shocks in pairs but GM said no way. Then my dash started to crack and that was turned down as GM said this was a cosmetic item and it does NOT cover cosmetic items. Well after buying or leasing 6 vehicles from this same dealer in 6 years I sold the Avalanche and bought me a Ram pickup truck. That’s how GM treats its customers after 35 plus years of owning GM vehicles.

I purchased a 2013 GMC Sierra new and always had the truck serviced at the selling dealer. Last Oct. my drivers side door handle came off in my hand. This has never happened to me with any vehicle I ever owned, and I have owned many. Colonial GMC in Charlottesville, Va. was my selling dealer so I went there and requested it be replaced under the extended warranty that I purchased good for 100,000 miles. Was told it wasnt covered under that warranty and had to pay to have it replaced. Bill was in excess of $300. Ok, paid and moved on.4 months later another door handle broke off on the rear door and was even being used much. Thinking this was an unusual I researched this problem and to my surprise realized these door handles have been breaking on Silverados and Sierras routinely, but to date GM has not had a recall or a TSP for this problem. Contacted GM and they told me I would receive a callback to resolve the issue. 3 days later I got a call from the dealer telling me I was out of luck, they would not do anything unless I paid the full price. Ok, I thought, I paid $63000 for a truck and they wont help with a door handle. I bought and $40 to install it. Bottom line is I will go back to buying a Ford or Dodge, had good service from them. Done with GM for a $17 door handle.

I am writing this complaint as I am very disappointed the way my whole purchase and ownership experience. I feel that a profit motivation has ruled the decision making process and customer service non existent. Firstly at the purchase of our 2012 Chevrolet Cruz, one major significant item was not offered and when we became aware of this item we were told it was too late. Then on the first trip we hit a pothole and damaged two tires. No problem, we have warranty. But even the dealership gave us the vehicle with three tires with a maximum of 21 PSI 2 at 18. We paid for this as no one was responsible. We noticed on the side mirror at the outset what we perceived to be polish dust. Upon the initial washing we became aware that it was actually a defect. We drove to the dealership only to be told we will sort it out. However, after repeated complaints we were told it was never written down and you now are out of warranty. GM in their infinite wisdom agreed and refused to change them. Managers looking at the mirrors have said off the record that it is definitely a flaw, but I guess in this experience it will be up to us to solve it. Other items which were not on the warranty. Replace the brake disk and the pads at 30,000 KM (As a former Rally racer this is absurd). The air conditioning works poorly to say the least, even I had to pay to change to replace all the filters. There is a power surge from the gearbox at gear change - still unresolved but we are out of warranty.I worked at GM and this is something I never saw from a quality perspective. I am also a second generation GM owner as my father lived and breathed GM and owned GM cars for approximately fifty years. At this point Big Brother and its profits have lost a customer and I will never consider a GM product again. I can assure you I will expound my experiences to prospective buyers as well. I have never favored Lemon Laws but I now realise that they have a place and are needed to protect customers. Thank you for reading.

I own a 2013 GMC Terrain. The car was part of a lawsuit against GM for excessive oil consumption. My car was 4qt low on oil, NO oil light ever came on. The car now needs $2,500 in repairs and GM is refusing to pay for it although the lawsuit states they are responsible for it and are to pay for it! Myself and my family have always driven GM vehicles. I’m the last one in the family left driving one and now I know why. They do not stand behind their products and do not support their customers. Customer service from GM just keeps say, We are working on this. Give us two days and we’ll call you. It’s been 3weeks!!! I’m paying for a rental out of my pocket and making a car payment. GM is useless. DO NOT BUY ONE!

At the beginning of 2015 at 121,000 miles on my Traverse it was diagnosed with timing chain issues. A couple of weeks (end of Jan 2015) later I received a letter from Chevy extending the warranty on the timing chain (mind you the letter was dated for Nov 2014) to 120,000. However because I was 1,000 miles over the warranty there was nothing they would do for me. Repairs would start at $3,000. After calling GM on a few occasions still there is nothing they will do. Then there comes more warranty extensions for Throttle Position Sensor that is part of the Throttle Body again pass the allowable miles.I am at a loss how a company can have know about these issues for years then when knowing that most of these 2009 vehicles are probably past the mileage warranties they extend warranties to prevent a recall. As of right now my 2009 Chevy Traverse is now a $32,000 paperweight. The catastrophic break down of the timing chain has happened. Looking for some remedy for a mutual satisfaction my auto technician has told me that with all the issues that motor has (which GM has been aware of for sometime now) it is not worth putting that kind of money and work into it and suggests a used motor as the more reasonable remedy.

I own 1 2015 Cadillac Srx and just purchased a 2020 Cadillac Escalade esv and will never purchase another gm vehicle again. I had a recall for for headlights on my 2015 and when I took it in had to pay for it which was no problem even though it was $1900 for 2 headlights but I was to be reimbursed from GM for a recall on the headlights. Then I contacted GM and they told I had the paperwork for the recall and they said it has expired and now I just have to pay the $1900 out of pocket. This is completely unprofessional especially during a pandemic. I live in Illinois and the whole state has been shut down pretty much since March besides for a few months. I did not read fine print on back of letter real small that said it expired. I think GM should recognize this recall and reimburse someone who has spent over 100k on vehicles from Cadillac in the last 4 years. Headlights that cost that much money should never go bad unless damaged.

I own a 2 year old Buick Envision. I heard a noise coming from under the vehicle at only 7k miles. The dealership and GM continually told me nothing was wrong. I did not give up. It took months but they finally determined there was a loose baffle in the exhaust. They finally replaced the exhaust. Dealing with them was extremely difficult. Very recently when leaving for vacation with bikes mounted on the back of the vehicle the car battery was dead. Nothing was left on and the vehicle is supposed to be protected from accessories remaining on and draining the battery. Again, GM is not standing behind the vehicle. The dealerships have prepared or canned answers for everything as to avoid making good on the warranty. As a professional buyer and car enthusiast I cannot recommend anyone buy a GM vehicle. You will not have the warranty you think you have and the vehicles experience more problems than other cars.

My husband and I purchased a 2013 Chevy Malibu in Nov 2013. New car. No issues until April 2015. First, my Service Parking Brake light came on now and then. Took it in and they said it was a fuse box. Ordered a new one at our expense. Two days later the engine locked up. Got it towed and dealership ordered a new engine. Replacement engine was knocking after just being installed! Second new engine installed and runs fine. Still had Service Park Brake light on after replacing the fuse box. 250 miles later, engine started knocking! Took it back again and dealership left torque converter bolts loose. They claim to have tightened them and replaced the fuse block.Started a case with GM to get the car bought back because its obviously a lemon. No longer have the light on, but now the car idles rough and shifts terrible. GM will not allow the dealership to work on the car unless there is a code on their computer when they hook it up. Its not throwing any codes and no lights on the dash, so we wait. This is absurd! I have talked to a senior rep at GM several times, and she said we have to go through this and they will probably not ever buy it back. Not happy and never buying Chevy again!

I purchased a 2020 Yukon Denali at the end of December 2019. I have purchased a new Yukon or Tahoe every year since 1996. My experiences in the past have been generally great since Im always driving a vehicle with very low mileage and always still under warranty. This 2020 model had only 7000 miles on it when several service lights started to appear on the instrument panel. These included ABS braking system, Stabilitrack, Forward collision system, Cruise control, and Trailer brake system. Any of these can be serious safety issues. I brought it in immediately to my dealer in Branson, Missouri, Pinegar GMC around the first week in July. They checked it out and said it was a faulty module of some sort that controls all those things and they should have the part in a few days. It has been 2 months and they not only still do not have the part but cannot say when it will ever show up. My question is why cant they get one off the assembly line since they are obviously building these cars every day and must need these modules to keep production going? Very poor communication and customer service.

Twice, I have experienced a disturbing situation when I accidentally touched the engine start/stop button while driving. When this occurred, the drivers information screen advised me to put the car in Park, depress the brake pedal and push the engine stop/start button. This is an impossible feat when the car is in motion. The dealership advised me to put the moving car in neutral, lightly depress the brake pedal and press the start button. Obviously, Buick is aware of the problem if this hair-brained solution is proposed to the owner. The location of the start/stop button can easily allow the driver to accidentally touch it because of its proximity to the lane change on/off button, the act of extending ones finger into the recessed touch screen to change a radio station or adjusting the air vent to the right of the steering wheel. The location of the button is a gross design error. Even the LaCross has the proper location for the start/stop button. Will Buick acknowledge its mistake and provide all Verano owners with a safe alternative to solve this problem?

I am writing to complain about Ed Morse Buick GMC Mazda Autoplaza 10133 US Highway 19 Port Richey, FL 34668 727-862-5411. My 81-year-old mother purchased her Buick from the dealership and returned for just motor oil and a cabin filter service at 34k miles and was sold more service than the automobile needed completed. The total bill should have come to $107.95 but she was sold and charged $657.06 for work that was not required. My mother trusted the service adviser and was misled the car needed service performed that would not be required until 150k miles based on GM standards. I feel Ed Morses service adviser took advantage of an elderly customer that relied on a trusted source for car service similar to relying on a financial adviser for advice. The company policy seems to be to recommend service to unaware elderly people concerned for their cars care and then not to offer customer coupons on their website for a savings. The 2012 Buick is new with only 34,387 miles and the service attendant sold automatic transmission fluid replacement, brake fluid replacement, induction service repair work and tire rotation on 3/31/2016 that when only an oil change was needed. The service attendant did not offer the customer coupons for free tire rotation with purchase of oil, $10 off cabin filter or the spend and save offer for the service performed for $75.Since I help manage my mother with her monthly bills and when I learned of a motor oil and filter charge of $657.06 I was beside myself and went to confront the Service Manager for taking advantage of an elderly lady just needing an oil and filter change. We discussed that the replacement of automatic transmission fluid, brake fluid and induction service was not required and my mom was misled into purchasing these services for a 34k mile car. The service manager affirmed she would be refunded with a check of $189.86 plus a free oil change. My expectation was to be credited $486.76 for work not required for misleading an elderly lady on service. At this time we have not received credit to resolve this issue and expect $486.76.

I purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS in 2011. l loved the car at first sight. A few weeks after purchase, notice that the transmission would jerk at certain miles per hour, and fluctuate at certain speeds and when the cruise control is engaged, it fluctuates also hmmmm... So I called GM in April of 2012, had them look up my warranty and they said I was in luck. My power train was still in effect WOW. Was so happy to hear that so I took my car to the local Saturn Cadillac hummer dealership which also was owned by GM back then. They kept my car overnight and have me a rental. I was so happy.Called them up the next afternoon, car wasnt ready. Called them the next morning, they told me they didnt see anything wrong and said I can come and pick up the car. They told me the car is running as design hmm.. I wasnt satisfied with that answer so I took it to Ed Morse Chevrolet, a next dealership that doesnt know whats wrong with my car. First they told me it was the solenoid. They have me a rental that happens to have the same engine and transmission and that car drove perfectly, so a few days later I picked the car up. That next day, I notice the car was still doing the same thing. I misunderstood my warranty statement, also it said 100k or September 14 2013. Silly me, I thought it was my option lol, so before all of that occurred I was back and forth with this dealership.GM and GM customer service specialist who in my opinion is a waste of time, it took them after my warranty expires to diagnose my car with a bad torque converter which GM would split the bill with me. OK that was $850 dollars. Wow. I was furious it took me and GM 2 weeks to come to a conclusion that I would have to pay half so I saved up my portion, took the car over there and they didnt want to give me a rental and I just had a baby girl. I was furious and still am. OK I left the car over there for three days, picked it up and the car was still doing the same thing and just three weeks ago they told me they want to keep the car for another 24 hours, thats 3 working days. Ive had enough. I talked to another GM dealership. They told me that Ed Morse should of had recommended the new transmission since they dont repair they replace the issue should have been corrected. They quoted me over $3500 for a new transmission with installation, but according to them if I can get GM to give me a deductible cost for over $1400, that sounds good but I thought about it. Why should I pay when I was trying to get them to fix my car for 2 years? Im gonna sue this dealership in a few weeks, wish me luck. Going to the judge, will see things my way and see the incompetence and lack of respect that has for their customer! Cant put order number, dont know which one to put got like three of them.

I received an alert from On-Star through email (from General Motors) indicating that I need to have my engine/transmission checked. A few days later the engine light appeared. I didnt notice any malfunction of the car, at least yet. I contacted the dealer & was told that the car should be checked, but I would be responsible for the $150 diagnostics fee if the repair didnt fall under the warranty. I checked the manual & my car is still covered under the transmission/engine warranty, but there are certain engine/transmission repairs that arent covered. I thought what is the reason to have this On-Star alert system. Shouldnt they know the details already? I think this is a ploy to get a customer in & make them pay. One morning on my husbands way to work, it went up in flames. Fortunately, my husband managed to get out alive. Two days after it caught on fire, we received a recall notice in the mail. Guess what? The recall was for possible engine fires caused by oil leak onto the manifold. After starting a claim with GM, and being told to keep the vehicle in storage so they can have an inspector come inspect the vehicle, they decided to make us an offer for the vehicle more than three months later. The offer was for less than half of the vehicles worth, and they refused to pay for the tow, road clean up (because the car melted to the street) and the storage fees totaling more than $3300.00 because they said it was our choice to have the vehicle towed and stored somewhere. (No one chooses to have their car go up into flames while they are driving it, and when it melts to the street you have no other option but to have it towed by police orders). We only did what we were told to do, and in the end we are paying the price. We are not even getting enough money to cover the cost of the storage so all that is having to be paid out of my pocket when I did not choose for my car to go up in flames. How is that right? I will never recommend GM to anyone, and I will always tell people not to buy GM due to how they do not take care of their customers.

Recently took my 2002 Silverado with Duramax and Allison transmission to dealership in mid- eastern Ohio for transmission and cooling system flush. A day later looked under my vehicle and noticed spin-on filter on Allison had not been replaced. Would any lubrication station not replace your oil filter if you had your motor oil changed? Called the dealership and was told that I hadnt told them to replace the filter. What a bunch of incompetent bunch of sorry **. Would be like wiping your ** before you sat down to do your business.

I bought a new 2020 3500 Duramax crew cab and got 1200 miles on it, fan came apart. It is now 6/4 and its been in the shop since 5/10 and still havent talked to a senior advisor. Made a lot of calls, and nothing. I am very disappointed in the way GM has handled this situation. It is not good when a person has to make thier first payment without being able to use the truck they bought. I have been a GM guy as long as Ive been driving and Ill tell you that if I was treated this way years ago I would be driving something else. I am tired of waiting for a human to contact me to try to get help on this so I will contact the dealer and see if the store manager has any options or if I need to go to the Dodge dealer a mile from them and see if they may have better customer service. My dealer told me that they have not had this fan issue yet but I have talked to other Chevy dealers and I am not the only one to go through this. I am only writing this review because GM has multiple records of me calling and requesting information and they just dont care. Good luck to anyone that have to deal with their senior advisors.

My 2008 Equinox Sport with the 3.6L VVT engine has the dreaded P0008 fault code and a stretched timing chain. GM extended the warranty on this problem engine for the Cadillacs and the GMC Acadia to 10 years BUT will not cover the CHEVY Equinox for the same problem. They said there is not enough of these SUVs with this problem. Sent 2 emails to GM Priority Care - no response in a week. Called and got one of their experts - said they would contact my dealer. 4 days later they never contacted dealer. JUNK PRODUCT. JUNK SERVICE. What a Joke. Anything they can do to save a buck.

I ordered a 2015 Yukon XL Denali 5 months ago. Numerous contacts with the dealer gives the same results - The order has not been picked up by GM yet. I called customer assistance and was put on hold for about 10 minutes while the person investigated the order. She came back with You just need to talk to your dealer. I have buyers remorse and I have yet to see the vehicle. Great service, GM. I am, to say the least, very disappointed. You think this is a preview of what lies ahead with their service?

I have a collision shop and have been having issues with General Motors parts since the strike. The latest experience was a customer that got rear ended and needed a new tail gate. (Multi Pro Style) After 4 weeks of waiting we got the gate, prepped and painted it. When we went to assemble this gate we noticed the gate was about 2 shorter than the original one. This is the only Multi Pro gate they make. I would love to know what is going on with this mess. My parts guy just said, Well I will order another one. POOR JOB GM!!!

Im soo disappointed! Ive loved my Chevy up until now. It has been knocking for over 2 years. I know several others that own or have owned the same model as myself. They all have had the same issues! Horrible knocking of the motor. Found out May 8th there is a class action lawsuit against GM for piston wear, causes excessive oil use and knocking. I am within the mileage for repairs at no cost, but they have escaped repairing my vehicle due to the fact they did not send my letter sooner! Now I have a 4000.00 bill! I had planned on purchasing GM again. But never will I never. Ive had 3 recalls and damaged motor due to their production. They do not back their product. This should be handled by them. Please do not purchase GM. They do not take care of their buyers. If I had received my letter sooner It would be covered. Because of them I have a broken car, I have to fix.

I purchased a 2012 Chevy Cruze in February of 2012 with 15 miles on it and have had it on the garage 3 times for major repairs. The first being a thermostat and seals on the coolant lines. Then had to have all the coolant seals replaced after it overheated again. All of this happened before the first 30000 miles. Most recently my check engine light came on so I took it in and found that a wire for the valve intake to the emission system had broken. All of this on a car barely 3 years old. Contacted GM with my concerns and was told that they would contact the dealership so that the dealership or GM would cover a portion of the repair expense. Was contacted 2 days later by dealership. They said it wasnt their problem that they did their part and would forward my concerns back to GM since my problem was with the car not the service I was given. Was contacted by GM the following day to be told that GM would not be covering anything because I was said to be bad mouthing GM by saying there was a problem with the car they made. How is stating that GM sold me a car that has been nothing but problems bad mouthing anyone. I was stating facts. I bought a new car to avoid these problems and got more than I could have imagined. GM you should take more concern in your customer satisfaction. At this point in time if I could I would trade in this car and never purchase a GM product again. Your company has done nothing to take care of my concerns or problems. All that has been done is a personal attack on me as a customer with your claims of bad mouthing. So now customers cannot speak negative of a product for fear of your company deciding to not help them. I will tell everyone I know what terrible service I received from GM.

I love my 2002 GMC Envoy! This has most definitely been my fav vehicle that I have ever owned. My Envoy has so much space for transportation of items or for long distances with the family. I chose this vehicle originally based on the spaciousness! The GMC gave me the right amount of luxury and was still amazingly functional for my large family! I could easily put my daughters wheelchair in the back but still be able to park it once we got where we were going. The only downfall of owning my Envoy has been the prices that all replacement parts seem to be! If anything breaks on the Envoy, I have Easily dropped at least $200 on the replacement part. This is ridiculous! That also doesnt include the cost of the work that was done to it.

Like many GM SUV and truck owners, my dash has cracked in multiple places.
Like many GM SUV and truck owners, my dash has cracked in multiple places. Even though my vehicle is out of warranty, I decided to contact GM Customer Care to see if there is a recall or resolution. It is obvious that this is a chronic problem for several year models. My first contact consisted of sending an email from the GM Customer Care website. I received a confirmation, then had to provide a lot of other information so they could properly review my problem. After a week of not hearing anything from GM, I called them only to find that my claim had been closed. When I inquired as to why it was closed, I was told that the person handling my case must have closed it. This required a new case to be opened, repeat of the same information, etc.About a week later I received a call from GM Customer Care to tell me that they had contacted my dealer and are waiting to hear back from them to see if they have a resolution. I would have thought that the dealer would have to contact GM to see if there is a resolution. A week later I received a call from GM Customer Care telling me that the dealer does not have a resolution for this problem so nothing will be done to fix the cracks. I then wrote this email to Mr. Dan Ammann, President of GM:I am reaching out to you because of a problem with my Denali. I have made several calls to customer service and they have no solution for my problem. The dashboard has cracked in three places... at the instrument panel and at the airbag panel on the passenger side. I would expect better quality on a top of the line GMC product. There are many articles on the internet concerning this problem and it appears that there are thousands of people having the same problem. I also see on the internet that GM has no plans to recall or provide any solution to the problem. As a loyal and long time GMC customer (This is my 4th Denali and 6th GM SUV), I expect more from GM. I found it interesting that GM Customer Service has to contact my dealer, Allen Tillery GMC in Hot Springs, AR, to find out if they have a solution to the problem. I would expect that GM would be the authority, not the dealer. This morning I received a call from GM customer service advising me that they have contacted my dealer and unfortunately, the dealer told them that they are not providing any solution for this issue. This caused me to attempt to contact you directly. As President of GM I expect you to be the person in the know. If you are not aware of this problem, I want to make you aware of it, although, since a number of lawsuits have been filed, I would expect that you are very aware of the problem. My question for you is what is GM going to do about all of these cracking dashboards?I am currently looking at joining one of the existing Class Action Lawsuits against GM or filing my own lawsuit to get a resolution. If there is no resolution through my contact with you or through legal routes, I cannot, in good conscience, ever buy another GM product or support my local GM dealer by buying from them or using them for service. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to your quick response.Surprisingly, Mr. Ammanns email is blocked by GMs servers, so the email will never reach his eyes, unless someone at GM happens to see this review and gives it to him. The odds are about the same as winning Powerball of that happening. I also copied the email to my local dealer Allen Tillery GMC with no response. It is my opinion that GM has reached a size that they dont have to care about customers or more importantly, returning customers. It wasnt too many years ago that we, the people, were bailing them out. How quickly they forget. GM products will no longer be considered when I shop for my next vehicle.

My transmission failed in my Saturn close to 100,000 miles. I bought a remanufactured transmission from GM which cost over $5,000 dollars. Over $1,200 to install. Lasted 16 months and 9,400 miles. GM/Saturn said Im over the year so although Im so far under the mileage they said sorry cant help you. 9,400 miles for over $6,000 dollars. They are selling us defective items and stealing our money. Shame on them and I hope all future consumers boycott GM. They could care less about you and are ripping us off. No more GM products and Im spreading the word to all friends, family, and any way I can get the word out. Everyone I know cant believe how they treat people. We bought a 2011 GMC Terrain SLT brand new from the dealer. At 19,000 miles the AC compressor went out, warranty covered that expense. 2 years later the compressor had a leak and the dealer recharged the compressor. This was done without our knowledge while we had the vehicle in for an oil change. At 90,000 miles we had a new transmission installed for $4200. That was our fault for not getting rid of the Terrain. In 2017 the check engine light came on, we were told it was a sensor for the exhaust. 2 days ago the AC compressor went out again. The Terrain was back at the dealer today. We were told the compressor was bad and needed replacing, $1000. The check engine light was really the timing chain needed to be replaced $2000. The vehicle has 115000 miles on it and I cant afford to have it fixed. GMC should step up to the plate and give me and my wife some assistance. We are both retired living off social security!!

My 2011 was brought in because the check engine light was on. The service advisor called me when the car was fixed, with no authorization from me to work on the car. I called GM corporate office and spoke with a James, who apologized for my bad experience and told me that they will reimburse me the full cost of the repairs. The next day, he called to say that GM will not reimburse and that he would have to take the side of the service advisor. However, it is against GMs policy to work on a car without authorization from their customers. Of course the service advisor is trying to save his job by saying that I authorized the work. I am an upset customer and relative of an upset customer. My mother purchased a 2018 GMC Terrain in January 2018 and this car has had nothing but problems. On May 4th 2018 the car was taken to Jim Causley GMC for repairs which to us seems to be severe. The car stopped in the middle of a busy intersection and an error message came across the dashboard which read, This car is unsafe to drive, and the car stop working and was driving erratic. After the vehicle was towed back to Jim Causley GMC they kept the vehicle for approximately one week and I asked the service adviser the extent of the damage and he stated that he was informed by the service manager that he was not at liberty to disclose this information and they released the vehicle to me. I proceeded to drive the vehicle a few miles and the vehicle stopped on me in the middle of a busy intersection and once again I received the same error message which read that, This vehicle is unsafe to drive. I cannot believe that the technicians at Jim Causley GMC worked on this vehicle for a week and claimed that it was safe and road ready and yet again I am having the same mechanical issues.

My check engine light is on in my 2015 Chevy Malibu. After paying $125 to run a check I was told on September 5 that I need part #12633613 A valve Asm Rocker Arm Oil Control. But the part was not available so it was put on back order. Now 4 months later I am still being told the same thing. I have not been able to get my car to pass inspection because of this so I can’t register my plates which means I am driving on expired plates. When I needed to be towed last night AAA wouldn’t tow me because I had expired plates and I had to pay $80. When I check online several parts websites say the part has been discontinued. This car is only 4 years old. I will still be making payments for 2 more years and I can’t get it fixed. The part generally costs around $100 but since it is unavailable it is now selling for $600 on EBay. Come on GM. Get your act together and honor your products. Please tell me how to solve my dilemma.

Again, this was over a month ago and still no parts. I called GM to see if they could help. After about 7 days of waiting on a response from GM, was told that there was nothing they could do and should continue to reach out to the dealer. So I call the dealer back to be told that they have over 40 other vehicles on their lot that they can’t service because they can’t get parts from GM. I think this is the most ridiculous thing that GM cannot get parts to the dealers do that the vehicles they sell can be serviced or repaired. WHAT A JOKE. And they can’t blame it on the strike. Was told by dealer service manager, they were have issues getting parts before the strike.

2008 gmc denali radio control tire censor. What a stupid total waste of money. Cost me another 300.00 to get the stupid aluminum junk parts replaced. I never seen such a total stupid unnecessary device in my life. I had one tire worked on 3 times and they found nothing wrong but it still leaked. Most tire dealers drop the nut off the sensor and let it drop into the tire not wanting to tell you it cost another $80.00 a tire to fix the problem the junk sensor. I happen to get an honest dealer and explained the stupid engineering retarded situation. Thanks for the stupid extra expense. I grew up when a car had an ignition switch and an oil gauge and was happy. I own a tire gauge and can see a low tire that does not cost an extra $300.00 from my social security.I called gmc customer service 5 times and got nothing but the run around. I was disconnected and put on hold several times. Rep 1 was foreign, could not understand me. Rep 2 I was disconnected. Rep 3 wanted me to spell sensor three times, said he had never heard of that type of auto part. Rep 4 asked for my first name then put me on hold then rep 5 asked for my last name, then my address and I said 6867, only my house number then she asked me to spell it. So I said six eight six seven. Then she started to explain why I had to spell. I never got my whole address out she kept talking over me. The whole experience was like a comedy routine saturday night live. Smartest man movie.

Tried to get GM (Chevy) to take care of rusted cross member. Was told that I am a few years late and that it is on me. This would be close to $1000. Other consumers have complained in regard to the rusting. And Chevy is aware of this issue. Chevrolet issued a bulletin that alerts owners of 1999-2004 model year Chevrolet Trackers of the possibility that some of the front suspension crossmember did not receive adequate corrosion protection. If this occurs, may notice steering looseness, vehicle pulls to one side, front end noises (clunk, bang, rattle, etc) vehicle shaking, or steering wheel rotation when shifting from reverse to drive and drive to reverse.Corrosion may progress over time until the front lower control arm bracket separates from the crossmember.. If this condition occurs on your 1999-2004 Chevrolet Tracker within 10 years of the date that the vehicle was originally placed in service, or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first, the condition will be repaired at no charge. This should have been a full recall, not a silent one. Shame on you GM or Chevy whatever your name is. I dont give a hoot how old it is, this needs to be corrected. My children will sue GM or Chevy, whatever your name is. If I die in twisted wreckage, thanks for nothing.

I am a GM retiree. I visited David Stanley Chevrolet in Norman back 3 months ago. I was interested in leasing a vehicle like a Malibu, talked to the salesman and told him what I was looking for and he said he would locate a vehicle and give me some information. Well that never happened. Never heard a word. So last month went back to the same dealership and talked to another salesman, drove a Malibu and told him what I was looking for a lease, I was a GM employee. He said that he was busy with a client but would get back to me later that day. 3 weeks later, I received a call from the dealership saying he was sorry he forgot about me but had worked up something and I could come in and see what he had. Well I figured if he does not have time for me then I would go somewhere else.Christmas Eve day, I stepped into Jackie Cooper Cadillac in Norman. The salesman said he only had 9 months experience but would get me a great deal. Found a SUV on the showroom floor and asked how much would the lease would be on that vehicle. He told me that I could get the lease payment for $350.00 a month. Well I questioned him again and asked how much do I have to put down on the vehicle and was told $0. I asked him again if he was sure I could get that vehicle for $350.00 a month lease with no money down? Was assured again that I could, so I said lets do the paperwork and I will take delivery today. He told me great and got me in the Finance Dept. to do the paperwork. After going through the paperwork and signing everything, I was informed that the lease payment would be $550.00 a month. I looked at the finance manager and asked, What about the $350 lease that I was told by your salesman? He said that there was no way I could get a lease for that amount unless I was ready to put down almost $4000.00. I informed the finance manager that I was told I could get this lease for $350.00 a month. After being informed that there was no way I could get the vehicle, I informed the Manager that they had some training to do with their staff because they gave me the wrong information and I was very upset after wasting 2 to 3 hours dealing with new cars sales people. I walked out, never I am sorry, please come back and see what we can work on. So now I go to Ferguson GMC in Norman and inquire about a truck. They had advertised a truck in the paper for $25999.00. So I went out to take a look to see what they had to offer. Jeff the new cars sales Manager told me that since I was a GM employee I could pick out anything I wanted and that I would get a better price then what was advertised because of all the rebates and GM discounts that I was entitled to. So this salesman takes me out and asked what I was looking for and I told him I would like to have 4 wheel drive and towing package. Found a vehicle and went to the finance dept. to see what they could do. Well after spending a couple of hours doing paperwork, my payment would be $550.00 a month. I told them that I wanted the truck that they advertised and was told that I could not get that deal with 4 wheel drive. I said, Ok, lets see what you can do, so I told them that I had an appointment that I had to go to so find a truck and give me a call. So a few hours later, I get a call from Daniel from finance and he asked me if I could come in and see what they found for me. I told him that I had to go to a performance that evening and he asked if I could come in on Saturday around 10:30am. I said fine. I was feeling bad because it was 10 minutes to 11am and I do not like to have people waiting for me. So I go to the showroom floor and asked for Daniel, and after about 20 minutes I was informed that Daniel does not start working till noon. I told the manager that I was asked to be there at 10:30am to look at this truck that Daniel wanted me to see. Again I was told that Daniel does not come to work till noon. So they asked if someone else could help, I said no because apparently no one knows what Daniel had put aside for me, so I told him to have them call me when they think they can get their act together. About 4pm, I receive a call from the salesman that helped me out the 1st time I came to the store. He informed me that they had a truck for me to look at and could I come in... I said I would see. The following Monday, I get a call from Jeff the new car Manager, he said please come out and look at a truck that he had set aside for me. I told him I would be right there. He said make sure you ask for Jeff because he would treat me right. I asked Jeff if these trucks that they were advertising had fog lamps, he said, I am looking at them and they all have fog lamps. I asked, How many do you have left at that sales price? and he said 7 or 8. So again I go out to the store and Jeff told me he was with a customer and just give him a few minutes, I said no problem. A few minutes later, Jeff came back out and said it was taking longer than he expected, I said no problem. About 10 minutes later, Jeff came back and said, Would it be all right if I hand you off to a salesman? I said all right, so the salesman said he would go get the truck and pull it up for me. The truck that they brought out did not have fog lamps. So I asked about the advertised special with fog lamps, and the salesman said he had no idea what the advertisement had. So I went back to Jeff and asked about the fog lamps and he said, No problem, I will put fog lamps on that for you... I said, You told me that you had all kinds of trucks with fog lamps on it, and he said, I guess I was mistaken. So I asked, How many trucks do you have for the advertise special? and he said, I guess you are looking at it. Well I was again upset and told them that they were wasting my time when you tell me you a lot of trucks with the fog lamps and you had 7 or 8 vehicles that I could look at, and he said what you see is all that they have. So I walked out of the 3rd facility that sells GM vehicles. I really did not know that GM was doing that good and could afford to lose customers but seems to me that they could care less if I bought a vehicle from them or not. So I guess I will have to go to look at a competitor since GM does not know how to treat their customers.

GM customer care and service department are awful. On May 20th, I purchased a 2016 Camaro 2SS with 2700 miles on it. By May 30th it was acting up and in the shop for warranty work. It is now June 16th, and the dealership still has my car. And that is GMs fault. After a week the dealership was stumped and began requesting assistance from GM. After two weeks of still being stumped, the dealership began requesting a field engineer, since they had not been able to diagnose the issue in over two weeks. GM will not give them an answer. Its a less than one year old car with 2700 miles on it and its been in the shop now for three weeks straight and counting, dont you think at this point its an issue worth expediting? Its not an old car. It has very low mileage and should not have any issues. Its an almost $50,000 car for goodness sake. But in GM fashion they wont move until my attorney contacts them about a lemon law suit, and a civil suit for car payments, registration, taxes, loss of use, and being overall terrible to work with. Oh well, I guess GM doesnt care about another lemon on their record and another lawsuit lost.

Ive had a horrible experience with GM customer service. The commercials and information put out by GM/Chevrolet completely contradicts its customer service standard. When my car had an issue I tried emailing and received emails with incorrect grammar from representatives. They asked me to explain what I wanted, when I had detailed a request for a refund and information on the failure in the original email. I then moved on to calling. Their customer service is contracted out and they admit they cant take any action on certain issues. They only provide an address if you ask for a contact at GM. They fully expect you to just give up on the issue by the third phone call. Each tier/level up I went, the person was ruder. I never once raised my voice, but at one point I was trying not to get emotional because the two failures of the part put me in life threatening situations.I had a part installed on my vehicle by a Chevrolet dealership in 2014 after my car lost power on the interstate. In 2017 the part failed AGAIN. In both situations I was traveling at 65/70mph and the loss of power was immediate. Monica, Charlene, Octavia, and Greg were emotionless the entire call. The dealerships said I had to go through GM to get a refund, and it was a nightmare. I am educated in the legal field, the negligence on the part on GM/Chevrolet is appalling. I have documented everything and filed a complaint with the NHTSA. I hope to have some resolution, as I still believe the car is unsafe. I never once felt reassured by the customer service team.

NEVER Buy from GM!!! I purchased a 2019 Silverado 3500 and reported transmission issues and funky dash issues from the first week I owned it. The truck was in the shop 9-11 times in 8 months. Corporate case manager was useless and did nothing but say, sorry!!! Truck would surge when in regen mode.. radio would be stuck on full blast. Clock wouldnt hold correct time or sometimes go backwards! GM was happy to take my money but fixing the truck... NOPE! After it ran into my camp trailer twice and putting a hole in the back of my garage wall it was a safety issue for my family! Dealership did everything they could - no issues with them! They even submitted a request for GM to buy the truck back. GM said no and they wanted to waste more time working on it. I ended up trading it in before it ran someone over. Now GM says you dont own it any more so we wont help with any cost... GM DID NOTHING during the 8 months it was in the shop. Why start now. I was told every step GM is here for you. NOPE! all I got was, were sorry, and we will get back to you. 1 week, 2 weeks later nothing!!! We will get you free oil changes. Nope! Never completed a thing they said they would. If I could give -1 star I would!

Tedd Britt Chevrolet (Sterling, VA) and General Motors has given me the run around. They have shown gross negligence by refusing to replace my newly purchased 2020 Silverado 1500. I have been tossed around from manager to manager, from advisor to advisor. Nobody wants to be the one caught with the customer (me) in a potential lawsuit:I have put less than 15,000 miles on the vehicle, hardly owned six months. First owner. The vehicle has been in FIVE TIMES for various electrical issues including brake system failures (x3), and most recently the vehicle shut off while I was traveling +60mph. I fear for my safety. See attached invoice photos. Their staff sees you as a number - a price tag. Their “Customer Experience Manager” did not even look at me, he talked over me, and downright refused to help me - would not even give me the customer service phone number. He said it was not his problem. Incredible. Don’t waste your time, or your safety. Buy a Ford.

We are the original owners of a 1999 GMC Suburban 1500, purchased new from a dealership that is no longer in existence. The vehicle currently has a non-functioning air bag module. In or about mid-July, 2014, we took our vehicle to Seidners Collision Center in **, CA to have some work done due to a sideswipe accident. At the same time our vehicle was in the shop for repairs, we asked Seidners to take a look at the airbag light that was on. Seidners sent our vehicle out to a certified air bag diagnostic center and it was determined that we needed a new module. They also informed us that they had called at least five dealerships in our general area and were told the part was discontinued. They further informed us that if they were to obtain and install a third-party part, they would not warrant the work.On July 28, 2014, I called GMCs Corporate Offices (866) 363-2273 at approximately 2:00 p.m. I spoke with Jade in the Customer Assistance Department. She assigned us File #**. After explaining that we were told the air bag module for our vehicle was no longer available, Jade put us in touch via a 3-way conference call with a local dealership. A representative from said dealership informed me that part # 9378245, priced at $533.00, is listed as unavailable. When I asked what unavailable meant, he could not give me a direct answer. Jade then directed me to several external websites which she said were GMC approved. The websites I was directed to are as follows: acdelco, mycertifiedservice, chevy-classic-parts.None of the above websites had the part I was looking for. On July 28, 2014 at approximately 4:45, I received a call from ** the parts manager at the above dealership. He said he checked with his shop foreman who said if the airbag light is on, he cannot say definitively whether the airbag will deploy or not. ** said he would place an order for the part for us even though it is listed as unavailable. He also said he would follow up with me as more information becomes available. After I received the above phone call, I called GMC Customer Service again and spoke with Mary, one of the supervisors. I informed her about the safety concerns we have until the part comes in, especially given that there is no estimated time of arrival. I also informed her that I believe this problem is more of a corporate issue than a dealership issue. Corporate should be responsible for making sure that parts are available to the dealerships. The dealership has been as helpful as they can possibly be, but it is not their fault that the part is unavailable. On August 14, 2014, at approximately 9:00 a.m., I received a follow-up call from the parts manager at the above dealership. He informed me that the part is still on order and there is still no estimated time of arrival. He said he was merely making a courtesy call. After receiving the above phone call, I again called GMC Corporate. The phone call was made at 9:35 a.m. I spoke with Carla, another supervisor. She said she would call the parts manager at the above dealership to get the order number and would get a District Supervisor to call me within 48 hours. I have not received a call from any District Supervisor to date.On August 25, 2014 at approximately 5:20 p.m., I received a call from Cecelia, yet another GMC Customer Service representative. She informed me that the air bag module cannot be expedited and there is still no anticipated date of arrival. I again reiterated my safety concerns. Cecelias response was for me to rent a car. I asked if GMC would reimburse for a rental car and she said, No, its on you. I again asked to speak to a supervisor. Cecelia put me on hold and came back to say that no supervisors were available. I asked if I could hold on the line and she told me that All supervisors would be tied up for the rest of the day.I think all of the above illustrates GMC Corporates horrendous customer service. As you can see, I have at least had some follow-up with the dealership, but the same cannot be said of GMC Corporate. It has now been 6 weeks and we have made no progress whatsoever in obtaining the needed part. Every time we drive the vehicle, we are taking a safety risk. My husband frequently uses the car to transport kids for Boy Scout activities, and hypothetically, if an accident were to occur where the airbags did not deploy, we will certainly hold GMC responsible.I also did a Live Chat asking for an email address for whoever is above the GMC Customer Service supervisors and was told they were not allowed to give out email addresses. GMC Corporate is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Why all the hiding?

We had to take our Buick in due to a leak in the sun roof. GM informed us that that is not covered under warranty. They stated the sun roof is not water tight. It is designed to have some water penetrate where it is collected in a channel and drained. The problem with our leak was that the drains were plugged by the material that landed on the roof and flowed into the drain channels with the water. Since it was foreign material clogging the drain and not a manufacturing defect it is not a warranty item on our car with 13,000 miles. Who knew that a roof was not water tight and cannot be allowed to get dirt or seed pods on it or it might leak. My dealer has stepped up to handle it but not GM as of yet. I have call my 2nd level customer service rep 12 times over 24 hrs and just get voicemail saying my call is important and they will call me back asap. GM has 2 things broken, 1 is obviously a poorly designed sun roof, the other is something you can only laughably call customer service.

I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado in February 2017 with only 26 test drive mileage. Fast forward to August 2019 the vehicle wouldnt go into drive or reverse so I had it towed to Bomnin Chevrolet in Dadeland service department. I have always kept up with my OnStar diagnosis report which never had any major concerns just alerts when we need oil change or minor stuff i.e. tire needs air. The vehicle had no accidents or major repairs ever done to it so Im not understanding how the service department tells me I need to pay $4,600 for new transmission. I called GM customer relations and advised them of this but 2 weeks after all the back and forth no one to this day has resolved anything. Im still being asked to pay my normal monthly truck payment and no one is even hearing my main concern which is if such a new vehicle (2017) needs a transmission it has to be a faulty transmission in the vehicle all along. I kept up with my oil changes, the vehicle never had any accidents or off the market parts placed on it.

I purchased a brand new 2021 trailblazer in September 2020. While driving home from work November 20, 2020 my breaks, power steering, and stabilitrack went out all at the same time. Mind you, I am driving on a very busy street in Indianapolis also coming up on a very busy intersection. Luckily the left turn lane had no vehicle in it, but there was a red light and I could not stop. I looked both ways and braced myself for a horrible accident. Thankfully, I was able to get my vehicle turned and into a parking lot without getting hit or hitting anyone. I had to have my vehicle towed to Hubler Chevrolet (who took very good care of me). I did not purchase my vehicle from them. When I got home and checked the mail, there was a recall letter from GM stating there has been a recall on my vehicle due to the breaking system and the parts being contaminated. Also, due to the vehicle being so new, there were no parts yet available to fix the issue. I opened a case through GM and it was a struggle from then. Over a month for them to let me know that it was not a manufactures issue, but they would fix my vehicle at no cost to me due to the recall. Fast forward two months. Mind you, I still do not have my vehicle, yet I’m still paying on it. I receive a call from Hubler that the parts came in, but they are not programming with my vehicle. Two weeks later I received another call that more parts came in and those were not programming with my vehicle. I then called GM to initiate a buy back. About two weeks later Hubler called and stated my vehicle is now fixed and I could come pick it up. I receive a call today from GM stating they refused my buy back because my vehicle is now working properly. I am livid to say the least!

I am SO frustrated with Buick - Shenandoah Motors - and my 2010 Enclave right now!!! Thousands of $ in repairs since September (like in the neighborhood of $6500) - not including the usual oil changes and new tires. Went to pick it up today after a new transmission installation and the car is whining like crazy. Do they even test drive these things before they turn them loose for customers to take out on the road?? This has been an ongoing issue and finally GM Corporate agreed to pay $1111.23 of this most recent repair (not included in OUR $6.5k to date). Now its back in the shop (fortunately we didnt even drive off the lot before we went right back in and said something was wrong - AGAIN). Called GM Corporate but its after 5:00 so my rant will have to wait until tomorrow when they call back. CRAPPY SERVICE @ SHENANDOAH MOTORS.

We got a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix in Aug. of 2009 from a dealer, not a GM dealer. It had 36,000 miles. We took a trip over to Ohio overnight, checked into the hotel, got dress to go check out their Casino. As we was driving on the hwy the car lost all power, had a warranty on it. Got in touch with the warranty company and they told us that we had to take it to a GM dealer for repairs, so we had it towed to one that night. We got up the next morning called the dealer to let them know what was going on. They called the warranty company to let them know the issue with the car. At that time the warranty company told the dealer it wasnt covered.I got in touch with the lease company to see if they could get the problem taken care. NOT. Come to find out the the Ignition Control Module and Coil Pick went out. We had to pay $706.00 for repair. Now since GM have recalls on the ignition switch I said let me find out about this issue we had, they are telling me that not all 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix are in the recalls. They also stated that if the car over 100,000 miles on it that they dont pay for any repairs and recalls so I told the lady at GM @866-790-5600 that I would be speaking with an attorney about taking them to small claims. She told me that the call has been ended because I said to her that I will be talking with one about this issue. Also we have issues with our brakes, airbags, power steering, and lights.

I paid thousands for the GM extended warranty protection plan to get denied
I paid thousands for the GM extended warranty protection plan to get denied on a catalytic converter that is shot. The vehicle is 2 years old and under the federal emissions act warranty and even under my extended warranty. Nowhere on that protection plan paperwork states this would not be covered. I called GM direct and got a run around stating the vehicle was used and that is why it’s getting denied. Then their next excuse was in their records I was a third owner of the vehicle which is not fact. Im the only owner of the vehicle. Then I get “We cannot help you due to you exceeded the miles by 6K so sorry.”Now I have a bill in the thousands after shelling thousands out upfront first so I would be protected from incidences like this. My vehicle is a 2014 Chevy Cruze with 86K miles. I purchased it certified used with 8k miles. I have an extended GM warranty that covers up to 108K miles. Instead GM and the GM Extended Warranty Protection Plan denied my case. I am now seeking the attorney general. Also GM refused to give me my case number.

I took my vehicle (2012 Equinox) to the dealership to have my piston rings replaced due to a recall. After having them replaced there was a noise coming from under the hood. I asked the dealership what was this noise, after having my vehicle for a month I was told that the noise is coming from a Vacuum which comes from the pistons not working properly. I was told that I must pay for this to be fixed because its not under warranty. My problem is that if the piston rings caused this and theres a recall for this, then the Vacuum problem should be in recall as well. I contacted GM and they told me the same thing the dealership said but added that this has not been seen in all vehicles. How many have to have this problem for GM to make it their priority? Not fair to pay for something that was caused by a recall!!!

Plastic pieces have broken off, the drivers side belt wont retract and the passenger belt doesnt lock. I took it to the dealership for recall replacements and they told me that they were replaced already by the previous owner. I find this incredulous considering I have own a Lasabre as well as another Park avenue and never had any issues and they were both older vehicles. The cost for replacement is $350/belt and I have no assurance that the replacements arent just like the ones I have. I am an owner of a 2013 Cadillac XTS. This vehicle is the third Cadillac car/truck I have owned. I am reaching out to you regarding case **. Ive leased the car in November of 2012, during this time I have had a serious safety issue and major concern. The brakes have failed on 4 different times. I have taken it to the shop, different reasonings why, but no complete/real answer. At this time I do not feel safe and confident driving the vehicle. The dealership which has it now, doesnt want to keep the car, stating it may not sell after. I am trying to get in contact with the sale manager at Crown Cadillac in Watchung NJ. As I will guess they would want me to take the vehicle to New Jersey to turn in, not sure what difference it would make. As stated the car isnt safe for my family, myself and possibly causing a crash on the road. After a week, they reached back to me, stating there is nothing they can or will do for me and have a nice day. Customer service for a loyal buyer, I think not. I will never purchase and/or lease a Cadillac vehicle again.

I purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. I have had to take it to the dealer numerous times to get the engine repaired as well as the transmission. I found the car to be unreliable and because of the frequent break downs, I have had to miss work and deal with the inconvenience of renting a vehicle. The last time I was there, they recommend that I speak to someone regarding the vehicle exchange program. They assured me that they would be able to help me get out of this vehicle and into something more reliable. I knew going in that I would probably have to extend the duration of my current loan. Unfortunately when I spoke to the sales manager, their way of helping me was to get me into a new Terrain with a brand new loan of 6 years and an interest rate of 3.6%. How is this helping me? The only reason why I was even considering the exchange was because the car that they sold me is not reliable - AKA lemon! I am sure that the dealership has better incentives than what they were trying to offer me. I do not believe GMC cares about their customers. I was willing to purchase the car with the same payment I have now, but I only wanted a 4 year loan. They were unwilling to help. Why would I want to purchase a car from GMC ever again after the kind of service I got? If I am going to start from scratch, I might as well go to another brand of car. The sales staff at GMC Cerritos were not understanding of my situation and were very condescending. Thank you.

October 20, 2019 my 2016 GMC Canyon Duramax went into limp mode. It has essentially been in dealer shop since then. Parts delays, major parts replacements have all resulted in the same failure codes. GMC resolution group (I’m now on my third rep) has admittedly trying and the local dealer as well, however it’s been over 150 days and still no ‘resolution’. On one hand I do have a loaner even though I am out of warranty, on the other I do not have my customized truck I use to manage my ranch where we live, and my most recent rep is essentially telling me ‘we are in the driver’s seat and you can wait until we fix it or you can come get it’. No more “yes sir we understand and we are trying”. I guess they are tired of my frustration but after 150 days one would think they could fix their own product. I don’t think they will be able to figure it out if they haven’t by now and wonder what the process is for my truck? Will they buy it back or simply tell me to come pick it up and charge me for repairs and parts that did not work??? Not happy with GMC but I guess they are doing what they can, which is not resulting in a successful repair of happy customer. :(

After arguing for another 8 minutes she place me on hold for over 10 minutes until the supervisor answered. Supervisor said there was nothing else to do. I asked her if there was somebody else I could talk to and she said NO, I asked her if there was another department I could place a complain, and she said NO. Supervisor said since my warranty expired there was nothing else she could do. Im only asking for help, I bought my truck in good faith and Im only asking to GM to provide help to a loyal customer.

Took my Silverado with 38000 miles with warranty ending less than 30 days prior to Ferman Chevrolet in Brandon Florida; air was not blowing cold and the AC compressor and smelled like it was burning. Took them two days to contact me back after several calls to them. Finally they tell me I had a leak in the hi pressure hose and it would cost $560.00. Then by the end of the next day I call them again “again no communication from them“ they tell me, -By the way- the compressor is bad too and it will now cost you $1580.00. So, at this point I tell them no way. Then I can’t believe my ears- the service guy tell me fine but you still owe us the $560.00 for the work you already approved. Wow (I won that battle). I googled GM issue with ac systems and omg it’s a known issue. There’s even a class action suit. So I call General Motors and the girl tries to contact Ferman Chevrolet and get no answer. A day later I call General Motors back and the girl tells me she has tried to call them seven times so she escalates the ticket to a senior advisor. It takes three days for the senior advisor to call me just to tell me “more or less” that there’s nothing they can do for me; it’s out of warranty. I finally had it fixed by an AC guy that was recommended to me by a friend. He found metal shavings throughout the entire system. For $1300 he has replace the entire system to make sure there was no parts that would have the metal shavings. I write this in hopes that something can be done for other customers with the same known issue.

I bought a 2010 Equinox. After I bought it I noticed that there is rust in the bottom of all the doors. Also the paint is starting to bubble up under all the doors. I contacted Chevrolet customer services. They assigned my complaint to a senior adviser. The senior adviser contacted the dealer where I got the car from and made an appointment for them to look at the car. The dealer recognizes that there was a problem however they declined to do anything about it because according to them even though there’s a problem the rust havent ate through the doors yet. I did some researches and there is other customers complaining about the same issue. I’m an very unhappy customer. I paid 16,700 dollars for this car and the car have a factory defect that they wont address. The dealer claim it will fixed it if I come up with 3,100. I feel like I have been ripped off.
