I am contacting you in reference to my vehicle. Unfortunately the service manager William has showed and made it very clear he does not want to service my vehicle at all. He told me that he did not know 100% what was wrong with my car unless they tear it down and that his techs dont want to do that and he dont want to pay them to do it. I had took my car to a front end specialist and got a second opinion and they suggested struts and strut mounts. He told me that if my warranty cover my struts, he would have them changed and I was going to pay for the strut mounts to be put on, which he said would be an extra $56. He also stated I needed a timing belt which is going bad for the second time around. I know when I bring my vehicle in, the parts that I am told are bad are covered under my warranty. He told me my warranty denied my struts but when I called come to find out, they never mentioned the struts at all being needed to repair. He also made a big deal about my warranty not covering my timing belt and they do, its in black and white and plus I asked them myself. Well, he called my warranty and told them that I dont need any struts and there is nothing wrong with my timing belt so they could block my repairs and he did not have to pay the techs out his pocket to do the work. I always come there for service to my vehicle from oil changes I paid for on up. I have never had to fight and bicker to get my car serviced there before at all. This unprofessional matter and stunt he pulled was uncalled for, all he keeps doing is wanting me to come out my pocket for repairs. Why should I if I have a warranty to pay for the labor and repairs? He tells me if they pull my front end apart, I will have to pay the tech out my pocket to do it. I am past fed up with his attitude and unwillingness to repair my vehicle. On top of that, lying to my warranty company so they can block the repairs so I can pay for them myself and basically, his way to show me that he is not going to fix my car and he is not going to let his tech either. Timing belt is a major repair issue. This is my only mode of transportation and for him to lie about it so he want have to do anything to my car - WOW. I have never seen this type of service before at all. If I know my parts are not under warranty, I would not bring my car in to have techs fix it when I know they have to be paid. Plus, warranty cover labor and parts and all this service manager does is throw in my face about he not going to pay the techs and someone has to pay the techs and he not paying them out his pocket. Customer service should be this service manager main priority and not how much money you can spend for parts that are all ready under warranty, makes no sense at all. Stop throwing temper tantrums when its work that need to be done and you dont want to do it. Its part of your job to work and make sure the customer car does not leave the same way it came in, which mine has every time I took it in to be serviced. This is not the first time I have had to get my front end looked at. One time they charged my warranty people and come to find out when I got the car back same way it went in. No work was done to my vehicle at all. The tech admitted that he never changed anything on my car that he had another car like mine and did that work to it. This service department and service manager are very unprofessional and wants to take the easy way out of things. Then he told me that he can spray some lubrication on the parts and that will take care of the noise as well as how my main concern should not be the noise, it should be the oil leak that I have never seen in my drive way - which is more than likely from my cover gaskets I paid out my pocket to have changed.

I contacted what I thought was customer service to lodge a concern but all I see is its in the comment section on the website. Potentially, this is the reason why I havent been contacted but still surprised that a possible negative comment made didnt get a reply. So now, I need to get serious before the conflict gets out of hand. I do want to be fair but Im concerned that the car was purchased and not leased. Because I wanted it to be my last large purchase, it wont outlive me and will only start being a headache for both of us. Please reply and lets discuss options for both parties.

I own an 05 Avalanche as well as two Suburbans (99 and 09). I have had problems the last few years with the blower motor in my avalanche not working on all speeds, but since I was way past the normal warranty period, I decided to live with it until it stopped working completely. That happened about 6 months ago. I decided to go online for a video on how to fix the problem and lo and behold I find out that I should have been sent a letter from GM about the problem that extended the warranty. I never received these so I decided to call customer. By the way, I have Onstar service, and that would have been a great place to advise me of the problem and extended warranty. After explaining my situation with the first customer service rep, she said that there was an extended warranty for the problem and that I was outside of the coverage period. But, she continued, if you get go to a GM dealer and get it properly diagnosed we will still be able to help you out. I responded, you can still do something even though the warranty is out of date? She responded, yes, just call back after you have been to the dealership and have the paperwork. I told her, I can fix the problem myself if there is not going to be any coverage. She replied to get the truck diagnosed by GM and call back.So I went to the dealership and had it properly diagnosed as the problem, and had it fixed to a rate of almost $400. So then I called customer service back and got a different rep, who pulled up my file. She happened to be a tier 2 rep. She reviewed my file for a few minutes while putting me on hold, then came back and said, Im sorry but there is nothing we can do for you. I asked her to pull up the conversation that I had with the first rep, and she said that the first rep had given me improper information. I said thats great because that improper info cost me $400 instead of maybe $150 if I fix it myself. After battling back and forth with several managers over this they said as far as they are concerned that this was a she said-he said problem and they were not going to accept any fault. They said they could not find the original conversation transcripts. My family has been buying GM vehicles since 1974. Having spent 100s of thousands of dollars at their dealerships and they have no problem losing my business because one of their reps screwed up and they dont have the balls to put the customer first. Goodbye GM. You will never find me at one of your dealerships again. Youve lost one more loyal customer!!!

I purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS in 2011. l loved the car at first sight. A few weeks after purchase, notice that the transmission would jerk at certain miles per hour, and fluctuate at certain speeds and when the cruise control is engaged, it fluctuates also hmmmm... So I called GM in April of 2012, had them look up my warranty and they said I was in luck. My power train was still in effect WOW. Was so happy to hear that so I took my car to the local Saturn Cadillac hummer dealership which also was owned by GM back then. They kept my car overnight and have me a rental. I was so happy.Called them up the next afternoon, car wasnt ready. Called them the next morning, they told me they didnt see anything wrong and said I can come and pick up the car. They told me the car is running as design hmm.. I wasnt satisfied with that answer so I took it to Ed Morse Chevrolet, a next dealership that doesnt know whats wrong with my car. First they told me it was the solenoid. They have me a rental that happens to have the same engine and transmission and that car drove perfectly, so a few days later I picked the car up. That next day, I notice the car was still doing the same thing. I misunderstood my warranty statement, also it said 100k or September 14 2013. Silly me, I thought it was my option lol, so before all of that occurred I was back and forth with this dealership.GM and GM customer service specialist who in my opinion is a waste of time, it took them after my warranty expires to diagnose my car with a bad torque converter which GM would split the bill with me. OK that was $850 dollars. Wow. I was furious it took me and GM 2 weeks to come to a conclusion that I would have to pay half so I saved up my portion, took the car over there and they didnt want to give me a rental and I just had a baby girl. I was furious and still am. OK I left the car over there for three days, picked it up and the car was still doing the same thing and just three weeks ago they told me they want to keep the car for another 24 hours, thats 3 working days. Ive had enough. I talked to another GM dealership. They told me that Ed Morse should of had recommended the new transmission since they dont repair they replace the issue should have been corrected. They quoted me over $3500 for a new transmission with installation, but according to them if I can get GM to give me a deductible cost for over $1400, that sounds good but I thought about it. Why should I pay when I was trying to get them to fix my car for 2 years? Im gonna sue this dealership in a few weeks, wish me luck. Going to the judge, will see things my way and see the incompetence and lack of respect that has for their customer! Cant put order number, dont know which one to put got like three of them.

After many recalls which each one was fixed, the light for daytime running started going on and off. The GMC dealer told me that the frame for the light was melted and had to be replaced. Then he told me it would cost me $1,100 to fix which I told him that they knew the lights were too hot and I had the recall done so why am I to pay for this? I called GMC to get this fixed and each time I was told I would be called back. This never happened and the last time I called I was told that I agreed to pay $500 and that never happened because no one ever contacted me. All I want is to have my SUV fixed like they should.

I took my 2015 Chevrolet Colorado to South town Chevrolet, Newnan, GA, on Sept 2, 2021, for a recall item. I informed them about a light on the instrument panel. The dealership repaired the recall item. They informed me that my oil pressure pump or my engine needed to be replaced. The dealership recommended replacing the engine D2 replacing the oil pressure pump might not fix the problem. The replacement cost for the oil pressure pump it was $4,500 and engine was $7,500. The dealership did take $500 off the engine replacement cost.I then inquire why would my oil pressure pump or engine need to be replaced. My truck is (6) years old with only 116,000 miles. I was given no clear explanation at the dealership. So, I file a complaint with General Motors, still no clear explanation of why I would need to replace my oil pressure pump or engine. Ive been an avid GMC customer, no more. I will not recommend GMC vehicles to any buyers. I am disappointed with GMC and their products.

It has been 3 months since GM has classified our truck as a lemon, and still do not have a replacement truck. After complying with documents 3 times to Henry and getting little to no help we were turned over to Sean who has only been slightly better. If you ask to speak to his supervisor first he will then call you back, then today being told by Sean that he contacted the Dealership about ordering us a new truck, then checking with that dealership and being read the emails from Sean this was not the case. I was told that we had to find a like truck and send the VIN # which I have but the truck is sold by the time Sean gets around to replying to the emails I send. This whole experience has caused extreme hardship as I need the truck to tow our trailer to Houston for my Husbands cancer treatments and it has been a financial burden driving and paying for Hotels as well as compromising my Husbands health by staying in Hotels, etc. All we want is a truck to replace the Lemon Truck we have so I can keep my Husband safe in our own trailer.

I am writing to complain about Ed Morse Buick GMC Mazda Autoplaza 10133 US Highway 19 Port Richey, FL 34668 727-862-5411. My 81-year-old mother purchased her Buick from the dealership and returned for just motor oil and a cabin filter service at 34k miles and was sold more service than the automobile needed completed. The total bill should have come to $107.95 but she was sold and charged $657.06 for work that was not required. My mother trusted the service adviser and was misled the car needed service performed that would not be required until 150k miles based on GM standards. I feel Ed Morses service adviser took advantage of an elderly customer that relied on a trusted source for car service similar to relying on a financial adviser for advice. The company policy seems to be to recommend service to unaware elderly people concerned for their cars care and then not to offer customer coupons on their website for a savings. The 2012 Buick is new with only 34,387 miles and the service attendant sold automatic transmission fluid replacement, brake fluid replacement, induction service repair work and tire rotation on 3/31/2016 that when only an oil change was needed. The service attendant did not offer the customer coupons for free tire rotation with purchase of oil, $10 off cabin filter or the spend and save offer for the service performed for $75.Since I help manage my mother with her monthly bills and when I learned of a motor oil and filter charge of $657.06 I was beside myself and went to confront the Service Manager for taking advantage of an elderly lady just needing an oil and filter change. We discussed that the replacement of automatic transmission fluid, brake fluid and induction service was not required and my mom was misled into purchasing these services for a 34k mile car. The service manager affirmed she would be refunded with a check of $189.86 plus a free oil change. My expectation was to be credited $486.76 for work not required for misleading an elderly lady on service. At this time we have not received credit to resolve this issue and expect $486.76.

I own a 09 Saturn Vue and have been pretty happy with it till now. My Saturn seems to be having transmission problems, the gears keep getting stuck which causing the engine light to come but after a day or two it goes away on its own. I experienced this problem now twice. Found a letter from Saturn stating some models had a fractured wave plate which would cause tranny to slip gears, low 3rd or 4th gear etc. I took my car to GM to drop-off service. Advisor tells me I would pay 120 if it wasnt the wave plate. I get a call today stating they need me to authorize a 1600 charge for them taking apart my transmission which it could be under warranty or it could be not. Long story short I would not authorize that since I was never told that when I first came in. The manager was arguing with my boyfriend and I left with my Saturn Vue being untouched. They didnt even care that my car could possibly have that issue and they would have to honor that at no charge. So they try to get money another way. Sneaky GM. Its sad they wont even look at the car thats a Product of their GM motors. Horrible!

I purchased a 2006 Impala with 160,000 miles in 2011. Recently, I have been getting a Service Traction Control on my dash, as well as a Reduced Speed/Low Oil pressure message. When this happens, my car will not increase speed and it has little to no power at all. When this happened the first time, I drove directly to Bale Chevrolet here in Little Rock, Arkansas. I left my vehicle and warranty information with the service department. I received a call a day later telling me it isnt covered under warranty and isnt a recall issue. Mind you, I have read hundreds of post with Impala drivers saying the exact same thing; just something out of the blue happened on their car. The representative told me my car would cost over $400.00. I agreed to pay it. At that time, I felt good about Bale Chevrolet being able to fix the issue. Why not? I bought a 20003 Impala from them in 2004. I went and paid for it. Mind you that this was on 4/25/13; I am writing this on 5/16/13. So, I get in my car on lunch yesterday and my check engine light is on. Then later, when I had got off the Service Traction Control light error, the Low Oil pressure lights are right back on; and my car is doing the exact same thing it had done in April before it had been alleged to have been repaired. When this happened again this morning, my child was riding with me. I made a left turn and was almost side swiped because my car wouldnt accelerate at all. I called the Service Department at Bale and was told they will look at it and it may be a multiple issue problem. I had my car fully diagnosed back in April, so if it was a multiple issues thing, those multiple issues shouldve been addressed before allowing me to leave with a patched up car. He also told me I would be responsible for any new parts pertaining to the Service Traction/Low Oil Pressure issues. Also, I was told that I will have to wait until Monday before anybody can look at the car. Ive already paid for the repairs which werent done properly and now I have to wait 2 days before it can even be looked at. It is sad (me and my family are long time Chevy buyers) to be treated like this at a lot where Ive bought more than one car; to be told get in line and wait after my car when it wasnt fixed properly the first time. I am 100% sure that I, nor my immediate family, will ever purchase another Chevy car or truck as long as I live. This is from a company that my tax dollars helped to bail out. I still purchased from them to now be treated like a number. I almost had my car totaled out because of issues that should be a recall in the first place. Second, I paid to have it fixed. I know this email won’t be responded to, but I hope others will read and strongly consider not purchasing a GM vehicle at all. I will be trading my poor Impala for a Honda as soon as I have money to pay Bale Chevrolet a second time to fix what shouldve been fixed in April. Google Bale and you will see all the complaints about them having to fix the same problems two to three times, with the customer ending up paying more and more just to get something that shouldve been correctly diagnosed and fixed the first time.

I took my 2015 GMC Terrain Denali Edition (Carport kept - excellent condition) to my local GMC dealer for service. My windshield wipers totally failed during a thunderstorm on a dark backroad at night. But for the Grace of God I wasnt hurt or killed - I had to figure out how to find a pull-off to address the problem. I took it in for service repair to my GMC shop and explained the problem - and also noted that wiper failure is a current problem with other year groups and models.I received a call that the wiper transmission failed - but due to it not being under recall I will be charged $351. I told them that it is absolutely unacceptable. Wiper transmissions should not fail at 85K miles - considering that I never experienced this type of problem before and have owned high mileage vehicles. They told me they had no power to do anything. I called GMC customer service and they claim they have no power to defer charges. Nonsense. I am lucky that I was not hurt or killed based upon their defective part. Further, GM was bailed out by my tax dollars because they are too big to fail. Well, my windshield wiper transmission was too important to fail, and it still did.

The following is a list or reasons why I feel General Motors needs to bear the expense incurred in this situation, the failure of the turbocharger cooling tube. 1. The part which failed was not available at the Flagstaff dealership and was only available from the parts warehouse in Reno Nevada. 2. We offered several times to pay the expense to expedited the shipping of the part to the Flagstaff dealership from the GM parts warehouse in Reno by air, FedEx, Purolator or DHL. The Flagstaff dealer and GM turned us down both times. 3. GM’s inability to track the part from the GM parts warehouse in Reno and were not able to give us a clear delivery date. The part did not arrive until 13 days after it was ordered. Had we known the part would be in Flagstaff on a specific date we would have stayed in Flagstaff until the part arrived and the truck was fixed. As it was the dealership could not tell us when it would be there.4. This vehicle is under full warranty and only has 13890 kms. Here is a summary of events leading up to these excessive expenses. On March 17 this year, my wife and I were driving home back to Canada from Phoenix, Arizona. We were 20 miles south of Page, Arizona when the charger cooler tube on the turbo unit failed. We called AAA and had the truck and our trailer towed back to the nearest GM dealership, which was in Flagstaff. We met with the Service Advisor the next day, Wednesday March 18, and by 11 am the part was found at the GM parts depot in Reno Nevada and would be at the Flagstaff dealership 6 days later on Monday March 23. Because we were concerned the Canada/US border was closing, and with the excessive amount of time it was going to take to ship the part to the dealer, we offered several times to pay for the expense to expedited the shipping of the part to the Flagstaff dealership from the GM parts warehouse in Reno by air, FedEx, Purolator or DHL. The Flagstaff dealer and GM turned us down both times. Please note Reno is just over 700 miles (1132 kms) from Flagstaff. The parts did not arrive on Monday March 23. We met again with the Service Manager on Monday but were told the parts had not arrived and would arrive Wednesday March 25. Wednesday March 25 the parts did not arrive. The Flagstaff dealership said the parts were somewhere between Reno and Flagstaff and that GM did not have the ability to track any parts. They said the parts may arrive Monday March 30. At this point we decided to rent a truck ($2000 US) and tow our trailer back to Canada. Again both the US and Canadian Governments were threatening to close the borders. We left Thursday morning March 26 after stopping by the dealership one last time to see if the parts had arrived. The part still had not arrived. The parts finally arrived Monday March 30, 13 days after the parts were ordered and the truck repaired Tuesday March 31. Because the border between Canada and US now remains closed, the only way I could get the truck back was to have it shipped back into Canada is by a commercial transport company. The Flagstaff dealership said GM might offer to pay for the transport of the truck between Flagstaff and Great Falls Montana. I offered to pay for the remaining transport between Great Falls and Calgary. Again GM declined. Also why is it that only Cadillacs quality for a free 800 mile/km tow while other GM vehicles don’t? My total bill to transport the truck from the Flagstaff dealership to Lethbridge Canada was $1350 US, ($1995 Can). Cole International’s charges for inter-border documents was $150 Can. So I have spent over $5000 Canadian on a part that maybe worth $100 all because GM didn’t have the required part at the dealership, could not track the part from their warehouse in Reno and give us a clear delivery date, and would not let us pay to have the part fast-tracked from the warehouse in Reno to the dealership in Flagstaff. I finally picked up my truck today May 11, 2020 from the Davis GMC dealership in Lethbridge. I haven’t heard back from GM Customer Service Canada since I sent in all of my expenses at the end of May and I don’t expect to hear back from them.

Does anyone else have this problem? I bought my 2012 GMC Terrain in Jan 2012. During my first week of owning it, we had some bad snow storms. The state uses a lot of salt to battle ice. When I opened the door, I had some difficulty opening it. When I did get it open, I noticed snow, slush, dirt, etc. at the rocker panel area where the inside bottom of my door meets the vehicle. I showed this twice to the dealership and they mainly stated they had never seen anything like it. Now this summer, the vehicle is leaking dust into the vehicle and builds up mud and dust at the rocker panel area. I took it back to the dealer and they put mud guards to see if they will help. I still see dust and dirt at the rocker panel. Otherwise, I like my Terrain. Please, if anyone is having this problem, I would like to know.

I bought this truck at Hampton Chevy. I went there to get it fixed on October 10, 2021, it is February 23, 2022, now and the problem has not been resolved. Ive been there over four times and they are completely stumped, one mechanics looked at me as if I should have bought me a Ford. At this time, I would agree. I have a iPhone 12 which cannot connect to my truck and the mechanic and the GMC representative are telling me its my phone but the same phone can connect to another Silverado same year and my brother phone which is the same model as my phone cannot connect to my truck. Under the same breath they say its my phone fault but dont recognize that two iPhone 12 cannot connect to that Silverado and the same 2 hour phone 12 cant connect to another Silverado. And now they basically are asking me to accept the condition of the truck 2020 truck because they dont know what to do to fix it.

Bulletin 14116 covers model year 2004-2006 Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Dealer replace the torque sensor assembly and EPS motor controller unit on February 23rd of 2015, On November 7 of 2017 the steering failed, Took to a GM Dealer, Replaced the same parts under recall at my expense. When I contacted GM customer service the response was that warranty is only for 12 months on recall replacement parts. I just would like to communicate that even if the vehicle was serviced under the recall the problem may still exist, In the affected vehicles, there may be a sudden loss of electric power steering (EPS) assist that could occur at any time while driving. Should that occur, greater driver effort would be required to steer the vehicle at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.

Every time they ask me to bring the car and they keep it for 2 or 3 weeks and I have to pay thousands of dollars and after I use the car for maximum three days all the problems bounce back into my face. It is not only that, the problems are getting more dangerous at the level that I cant take my kids with me in this car because of safety issues! I have trusted GM all my life but now I will never think about this company again and promise you that everyone I know has a full idea about what I am suffering. I am frustrated to the level that I want to put my car next to your show room with the billing history of the maintenance to show all the people that your company is not considering us as people and that our safety and our familys safety has never been considered by you. I will use all my contacts to tell everyone how I am suffering from your company using TV Radio and newspapers.

Product Safety recall 08411 fuel system control module - Turns out the fuel system control module failed on my GM SUV, exactly like they said in the recall notice, however since my trucks VIN # is only a few units past the group of numbers they assumed to be the bad ones, no help at the dealer. I sent a note to GM, still waiting on a response.

I went to this dealer to order a 2015 GMC 3500HD Sierra 6.0 gas engine, 2-wheel drive, emerald green metallic paint for me to use as my business truck. After waiting 8 weeks, I received a call that the truck was in. The truck the dealer ordered was not a dually. I had already sold the truck I was using for work and now desperately needed a new one. We found one at another dealer 350 miles away and needless to say it was $10,000 more -- white with 4 wheel drive and a diesel engine. Not to mention I had a custom built cap made to order and painted emerald green, which I had to pay an additional $525 to now have painted white. When we finally sat down to sign the contract I pointed out that they made a mistake and had the truck down as a personal loan not a business. They in turn said that was my fault, even though in my file they had copies that they made of all my incorporation papers. For financing, the manager had me sign 3 different contracts for this truck at 3 different rates. He said because he wasnt sure which rate he could get. I have been driving this truck for 2 months now and I’m on the second set of temp plates because the dealer said they arent sure what’s going on with the financing. Needless to say, I havent even gotten a copy of the contract. They said they felt bad and gave me side steps and floor mats that were about $1000 worth. Then on the last visit to see what the holdup was on the plates. They had me sign a business rebate for $1000 thinking I was getting money back they assured me no, that would be going towards the steps and mats. Tomorrow I will be going back to the dealer because now they informed me that my payment is late, on a loan I didnt know they secured. What I do know is that every time I go to Mahwah GMC it costs me $. And this will be my last GM product. It’s a shame because I do like the truck but can’t deal with the snakes! I think GM really needs to take a closer look at who they let represent their product.

I purchased a 2018 GMC Terrain Denali in April of 2018. I have gone past the warranty period and I have noticed the paint has been coming off the rocker on both sides of the vehicle and now rusting. I contacted GM Canada customer service and after waiting almost 5 weeks for a answer if they would do anything the robot who called me said since its out of warranty and theres no recalls on the paint theres nothing they will do. They are saying its from my shoes. I wear running shoes all the time I have had a lot of gm cars and so has my son with a lot more mileage and never had this happen. I guess this shows me that gm doesnt care about its customers. My next purchase will definitely not be a gm product.

I purchased a used 2013 Buick LaCrosse. Never again will a GM product come into my house. This POS has been at the repair shop 13 times in the past year. I have contacted the dealer and GM and all I get is lip service. GM could care less about customer service and customer satisfaction. I have tried to be a reasonable person, but am beyond that now. Just know 13 is a unlucky number and if you decide to purchase a Buick keep that number in your mind. Do not purchase a GM Buick.

I bought this car last year and before the year was over, I had to take it back to the dealership at the very least four times. I complained to GM, and they said that in order to be able to POSSIBLY HELP ME, I had to take it to the dealership again! Was four times not enough! I am traumatized to drive that car, and I do not recommend to ANYONE!

I have a 2012 Duramax that had an issue that GM sent out a letter on. I took the truck in for service in October 2015 and the told me the part may be 3 months before it arrives. In the meantime my truck developed another issue due to the issue gm sent out the letter on... So I go back to dealer in December and still no part. So they fixed the other issue and wouldnt cover it under warranty... They wanted to keep my truck which I use for business and offered me a Chevy Cruze to drive to replace my 2500hd pickup. LOL.So now its late December and I live in southern Illinois on the mississippi river where the bad floods hit and had to evacuate and put even more miles on my truck while waiting for this part... So now I call to complain about why this part has taken so long and why I had to pay for the issue that was caused by the missing part... So while telling this to the customer service rep she told me not to complain because her mom had stage 4 cancer. I wish I was making this up!!! In the meantime Gm offers me $100 to go away. What a joke after they took millions from taxpayers to keep the doors open they treat me like a dog!!!

I purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain 3 years ago and have had nothing but problem
I purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. I have had to take it to the dealer numerous times to get the engine repaired as well as the transmission. I found the car to be unreliable and because of the frequent break downs, I have had to miss work and deal with the inconvenience of renting a vehicle. The last time I was there, they recommend that I speak to someone regarding the vehicle exchange program. They assured me that they would be able to help me get out of this vehicle and into something more reliable. I knew going in that I would probably have to extend the duration of my current loan. Unfortunately when I spoke to the sales manager, their way of helping me was to get me into a new Terrain with a brand new loan of 6 years and an interest rate of 3.6%. How is this helping me? The only reason why I was even considering the exchange was because the car that they sold me is not reliable - AKA lemon! I am sure that the dealership has better incentives than what they were trying to offer me. I do not believe GMC cares about their customers. I was willing to purchase the car with the same payment I have now, but I only wanted a 4 year loan. They were unwilling to help. Why would I want to purchase a car from GMC ever again after the kind of service I got? If I am going to start from scratch, I might as well go to another brand of car. The sales staff at GMC Cerritos were not understanding of my situation and were very condescending. Thank you.

I bought a new 2020 3500 Duramax crew cab and got 1200 miles on it, fan came apart. It is now 6/4 and its been in the shop since 5/10 and still havent talked to a senior advisor. Made a lot of calls, and nothing. I am very disappointed in the way GM has handled this situation. It is not good when a person has to make thier first payment without being able to use the truck they bought. I have been a GM guy as long as Ive been driving and Ill tell you that if I was treated this way years ago I would be driving something else. I am tired of waiting for a human to contact me to try to get help on this so I will contact the dealer and see if the store manager has any options or if I need to go to the Dodge dealer a mile from them and see if they may have better customer service. My dealer told me that they have not had this fan issue yet but I have talked to other Chevy dealers and I am not the only one to go through this. I am only writing this review because GM has multiple records of me calling and requesting information and they just dont care. Good luck to anyone that have to deal with their senior advisors.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Z71. Since the vehicle was picked up at the dealer, the truck was pulling to the right. Not drifting, it was pulling. Wasted time out of my day and brought it back to the dealer. They aligned the front end. When picked up it was still pulling to the right. I decided to bring it to a dealer closer to my office and they aligned the front end again and rotated the tires. Lo and behold, still pulling. I dropped it off again and they adjusted the steering sensor and rotated the tires from left to right. Still pulling. I called GM and after being on hold for over 45 minutes they told me they would look into it. 4 days later they called me and said it might be the tires and they are not covered under warranty that I would have to contact Goodyear. I have no idea what to do next. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM GM PRODUCTS. THEY DONT CARE ONE BIT ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS OR CUSTOMERS.

Our Chevy Volt grew MOLD all over the front and back seats after winter snowstorms! After taking in to find the cause and have it remedied we were told it needed to be detailed before anyone felt safe getting in it to work. They told us we needed to approve the detailing for them to move forward but not to worry because we most likely would not be charged since it leaked. The next day they called saying it that the mold had been cleaned and that we needed to come pick it up and pay $200!!! A car with mold is NOT fixed with a rag! BAIT and SWITCH! This is an attempt to put the responsibility on us. They even had the nerve to suggest we must have left the windows down in the middle of winter in Washington! Or that my husband left his wet swim trunks ??? (again, winter in Washington!) in the backseat of his commuter car! That did not happen. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. We have been loyal GM customers. I own a GMC Yukon and were in the market for a Sierra pickup, but will never buy another vehicle from them and will not be able to recommend in the future like I have in the past. Instead I will tell people our horror story. GM should be ashamed! This is why companies like Amazon are thriving - because they take care of their customers. Maybe other companies should take notice before theyre obsolete.

I am an upset customer and relative of an upset customer. My mother purchased a 2018 GMC Terrain in January 2018 and this car has had nothing but problems. On May 4th 2018 the car was taken to Jim Causley GMC for repairs which to us seems to be severe. The car stopped in the middle of a busy intersection and an error message came across the dashboard which read, This car is unsafe to drive, and the car stop working and was driving erratic. After the vehicle was towed back to Jim Causley GMC they kept the vehicle for approximately one week and I asked the service adviser the extent of the damage and he stated that he was informed by the service manager that he was not at liberty to disclose this information and they released the vehicle to me. I proceeded to drive the vehicle a few miles and the vehicle stopped on me in the middle of a busy intersection and once again I received the same error message which read that, This vehicle is unsafe to drive. I cannot believe that the technicians at Jim Causley GMC worked on this vehicle for a week and claimed that it was safe and road ready and yet again I am having the same mechanical issues.

Dart motors are american made. We used Chevy Crate motors for power, 454 cu. in. V8 Big-Blocks, but as all things Chevy it was recast differently to save monies, thinner casting. Then the blocks started to crack, vertical lines in the cylinders after approx. 100 hours use. No junk. Time to move on now to 350 CID v8, burns oil out the box on fire up. Use approx. one qt. oil every 20 to 30 minutes. Called Victory Chevy in Ft. Myers, FL for warranty: No you need to call GM at ** This was a joke. Was told it is my intake gasket. I have been building same products, same parts for 25 plus years. Said needed to pull intake and take photos of intake gasket on motor. Pulled intake, no oil in intake runners, gasket perfect so I pulled heads, oil on top of #s 3-5 and 7. Piston #7 the worst, so pulled piston meat on, piston between ring lands, broke out 3 inch piece. This has happened on two of the last 4 motors. We now use only Dart Motors, no more problems. Other problems to watch for, rings hammered into cylinder, no bolts in cam timing, gear lifters come apart. 100 hrs. no impeller in water pump or impeller spins on shaft. This is poor quality control. Have now learned what GMC stands for: General Mexican Crap. Good bye Chevy!!! Captain Mitch.

Ive had a horrible experience with GM customer service. The commercials and information put out by GM/Chevrolet completely contradicts its customer service standard. When my car had an issue I tried emailing and received emails with incorrect grammar from representatives. They asked me to explain what I wanted, when I had detailed a request for a refund and information on the failure in the original email. I then moved on to calling. Their customer service is contracted out and they admit they cant take any action on certain issues. They only provide an address if you ask for a contact at GM. They fully expect you to just give up on the issue by the third phone call. Each tier/level up I went, the person was ruder. I never once raised my voice, but at one point I was trying not to get emotional because the two failures of the part put me in life threatening situations.I had a part installed on my vehicle by a Chevrolet dealership in 2014 after my car lost power on the interstate. In 2017 the part failed AGAIN. In both situations I was traveling at 65/70mph and the loss of power was immediate. Monica, Charlene, Octavia, and Greg were emotionless the entire call. The dealerships said I had to go through GM to get a refund, and it was a nightmare. I am educated in the legal field, the negligence on the part on GM/Chevrolet is appalling. I have documented everything and filed a complaint with the NHTSA. I hope to have some resolution, as I still believe the car is unsafe. I never once felt reassured by the customer service team.

Ive driven plenty of V8 engines with various transmissions and never had this issue. It is NOT SAFE! The fact that GM is just shrugging this off is quite concerning. My truck had a problem where all 4 of my brakes locked up and the brake pedal would not depress at all. I had to drive from 2 to 4 miles to get where I was going with the accelerator pedal fully depressed and going 35 miles per hour. The brakes were all four very hot and smoking. Within 2 hours the brakes were back to normal. This happened approximately 5 times before I was able to get into a gm authorized dealer. They let me use a loaner until they could test drive my truck. They called me and told me that they found the problem with the front brakes. I confronted the service manager and told him that they had not found the problem because when the problem occurred all four brakes locked up. He quoted me a price of $850.00 to make the repairs the mechanic thought would solve the problem. I told him that he had not found the problem and If I agreed to the costs and the repairs and it continued he would have to absorb the cost of the necessary repairs. He stated I would do that anyway. I authorized the repairs and within two weeks the brakes all locked up again. I asked him if he could call technical services about the problem. He said he only had one mechanic who was authorized to call the gm technical service dept.I wanted me to return the vehicle for them to test drive it again. In the meantime I found another source of information and was told all I needed to do was replace the brake fluid reservoir cap and the problem would never happen again... I was promised a loaner vehicle while they test drove my truck. While I was for the loaner car I casually told the mechanic about the cap possibly could be the cause of the problem. Without my knowledge and without telling the service manager he changed the cap before they started test driving the truck. After a week I called to find out about my truck and they had had no failures. I returned the loaner car and spoke to the mechanic while they were making out the paperwork for my truck and the loaner. He told me that he had changed the cap and raised the hood to show me a new cap had been installed. I have filed a complaint with the dealership and asked for some relief on the cost of the repairs to my truck. I was told that he had met with the service manager and the mechanic and they believe that the cap was not the problem.I have driven the truck for over 3 months since the cap was replaced. As I was leaving the dealership I met the service manager and I asked him if he had called their technical service department about the problem. He stated that he and the mechanic did not believe the cap and since my truck was over 10 years old with over 175,000 miles he would not bother technical services with my trucks problem. I told him if he felt that way HE WAS AN IDIOT. He said thank you and turned and walked away. I really would like to know how to contact someone from GMC who can explain to me how the brakes are affected by the brake fluid cap. Thank you for your time and concern about my problem.

Bought a 2020 Chevy Silverado from Rountree Moore Chevy in Lake City Florida May 2020. At 600 miles truck would not start. Sent to dealer, they cleared the computer, sent me on my way. 3-400 miles later did the same thing. Truck came back and they kept the truck for 30+ days waiting on a fuel part. Truck was fixed and got it back in July. November 30 truck did the same thing, would not start, just turns over. Took truck back asked for a buy back (same part broke) or new truck. Dealer told me to call GM, start a claim. I did right then. Just received a call from GM corporate denying the claim saying the dealer has to start a technical claim. Tried to 3 way the dealer in to get all on the same page and the corporate rep hung up during the call. I have been given the runaround from both the dealer and Chevy, Florida laws says this is a lemon, both are trying their best to avoid the situation rather than correct it. Truck has 9000 miles on it, has been in the shop 3 times for the same problem and has been in the shop more than 30 days total. I spent days of my time dealing with it, spent $55,000 and its only 8 months old. Think twice before buying a GM product. I guess I am forced to hire help now. All I can do is share my experience and hope good people learn from it. Thank You.

My husband and I purchased a 2013 Chevy Malibu in Nov 2013. New car. No issues until April 2015. First, my Service Parking Brake light came on now and then. Took it in and they said it was a fuse box. Ordered a new one at our expense. Two days later the engine locked up. Got it towed and dealership ordered a new engine. Replacement engine was knocking after just being installed! Second new engine installed and runs fine. Still had Service Park Brake light on after replacing the fuse box. 250 miles later, engine started knocking! Took it back again and dealership left torque converter bolts loose. They claim to have tightened them and replaced the fuse block.Started a case with GM to get the car bought back because its obviously a lemon. No longer have the light on, but now the car idles rough and shifts terrible. GM will not allow the dealership to work on the car unless there is a code on their computer when they hook it up. Its not throwing any codes and no lights on the dash, so we wait. This is absurd! I have talked to a senior rep at GM several times, and she said we have to go through this and they will probably not ever buy it back. Not happy and never buying Chevy again!

GM does not treat customers fairly. My husband and I bought a 2004 Pontiac used but in great condition. We owned the car for less than 6 months. One morning on my husbands way to work, it went up in flames. Fortunately, my husband managed to get out alive. Two days after it caught on fire, we received a recall notice in the mail. Guess what? The recall was for possible engine fires caused by oil leak onto the manifold. After starting a claim with GM, and being told to keep the vehicle in storage so they can have an inspector come inspect the vehicle, they decided to make us an offer for the vehicle more than three months later. The offer was for less than half of the vehicles worth, and they refused to pay for the tow, road clean up (because the car melted to the street) and the storage fees totaling more than $3300.00 because they said it was our choice to have the vehicle towed and stored somewhere. (No one chooses to have their car go up into flames while they are driving it, and when it melts to the street you have no other option but to have it towed by police orders). We only did what we were told to do, and in the end we are paying the price. We are not even getting enough money to cover the cost of the storage so all that is having to be paid out of my pocket when I did not choose for my car to go up in flames. How is that right? I will never recommend GM to anyone, and I will always tell people not to buy GM due to how they do not take care of their customers.

In the meantime, I have had no truck for moving me into my new home, Im worried that the vacation I planned with my truck will be with some crappy rental car, Im very frustrated with this situation.

I am writing this complaint as I am very disappointed the way my whole purchase and ownership experience. I feel that a profit motivation has ruled the decision making process and customer service non existent. Firstly at the purchase of our 2012 Chevrolet Cruz, one major significant item was not offered and when we became aware of this item we were told it was too late. Then on the first trip we hit a pothole and damaged two tires. No problem, we have warranty. But even the dealership gave us the vehicle with three tires with a maximum of 21 PSI 2 at 18. We paid for this as no one was responsible. We noticed on the side mirror at the outset what we perceived to be polish dust. Upon the initial washing we became aware that it was actually a defect. We drove to the dealership only to be told we will sort it out. However, after repeated complaints we were told it was never written down and you now are out of warranty. GM in their infinite wisdom agreed and refused to change them. Managers looking at the mirrors have said off the record that it is definitely a flaw, but I guess in this experience it will be up to us to solve it. Other items which were not on the warranty. Replace the brake disk and the pads at 30,000 KM (As a former Rally racer this is absurd). The air conditioning works poorly to say the least, even I had to pay to change to replace all the filters. There is a power surge from the gearbox at gear change - still unresolved but we are out of warranty.I worked at GM and this is something I never saw from a quality perspective. I am also a second generation GM owner as my father lived and breathed GM and owned GM cars for approximately fifty years. At this point Big Brother and its profits have lost a customer and I will never consider a GM product again. I can assure you I will expound my experiences to prospective buyers as well. I have never favored Lemon Laws but I now realise that they have a place and are needed to protect customers. Thank you for reading.

I have had 4 GM cars and this is my last. My last car, new, off the lot, was a GM H3. It went through 2 heads within 100,000 miles - defective GM part, they take no accountability for. Cost me $2500 for the last head. Now I have a 2007 GM Yukon Xl under warranty, which now has a large rust spot on the roof. They will not fix it, stating it couldn’t be their fault. I live in the desert where nothing rusts. Unbelievable. Martin from customer service is a waste of time. This company gets bailed out by everyone and wants to help no one! Done!

I purchased a 2020 Yukon Denali at the end of December 2019. I have purchased a new Yukon or Tahoe every year since 1996. My experiences in the past have been generally great since Im always driving a vehicle with very low mileage and always still under warranty. This 2020 model had only 7000 miles on it when several service lights started to appear on the instrument panel. These included ABS braking system, Stabilitrack, Forward collision system, Cruise control, and Trailer brake system. Any of these can be serious safety issues. I brought it in immediately to my dealer in Branson, Missouri, Pinegar GMC around the first week in July. They checked it out and said it was a faulty module of some sort that controls all those things and they should have the part in a few days. It has been 2 months and they not only still do not have the part but cannot say when it will ever show up. My question is why cant they get one off the assembly line since they are obviously building these cars every day and must need these modules to keep production going? Very poor communication and customer service.

I have taken my truck to two auto body repair shops. Both have told me that the cab paint peeling looks like a rust through problem to them. The first time I went to King GM, the customer service representative told me the GM doesnt cover sheet metal. After taking my vehicle to two auto body repair shops, one of them said that the vehicles in that model year were, in fact, covered by a rust through warranty. Checking my owners manual, it does state that rust through is covered for 6 years or 100,000 miles. I have a little over 33,000 miles on my vehicle, and we are well within the 6 year time frame.I went back to King GM and contacted John **, the service manager, from King GM in Longmont, Co. He took pictures of the problem and sent it to a regional specialist who promptly rejected the claim. It was then forwarded to a DMA who chimed in with the same rejection. I would like to know why someone who has actually seen the problem refers to it as a rust through problem, yet the GM people see a picture and reject any resolution. Please contact me with a resolution at your earliest convenience.

We bought a 2017 Chevy Silverado new. We drove it off the lot and on our way home it started stuttering. We took it back several times to the dealership. We were told things such as: GM knew there was a problem but couldnt fix it, it needed to get used to the way we drive, it needs broke in. Two years down the road it continues to have problems and they are only getting bigger. GM will not stand behind the fact that there is something wrong with this truck and make it right. We drove our last Chevy truck for 12 years and now are hesitant to continue to drive GM products. They advertise as the working mans truck but wont stand behind it when there is a problem.

Left the dealership with a brand new 2016 Buick Enclave on 5-14-16 and returned to the dealership with a flat left front tire on 5-16-16. Not complaining about anything on the dealership end, but the roadside assistance is a joke. Have never needed to use it before, THANK GOD, and will never try to use it again. My husband put the donut spare on himself because no one was available anywhere to assist us. Gave the address where we were but no one could find us so they said. What good is having a service available to use if you cant get use out of it? My husband and I would have still been stranded til today 5-16-16 if he didnt put a spare on himself. My suggestion is DO NOT offer ASSISTANCE if you cant follow through when a customer needs it.

I took my vehicle to the dealer over a month ago with what I thought was transmission problem. Was told that I needed a torque converter and would be covered under warranty. Again, this was over a month ago and still no parts. I called GM to see if they could help. After about 7 days of waiting on a response from GM, was told that there was nothing they could do and should continue to reach out to the dealer. So I call the dealer back to be told that they have over 40 other vehicles on their lot that they can’t service because they can’t get parts from GM. I think this is the most ridiculous thing that GM cannot get parts to the dealers do that the vehicles they sell can be serviced or repaired. WHAT A JOKE. And they can’t blame it on the strike. Was told by dealer service manager, they were have issues getting parts before the strike.

This has been going on for years (back to 07) with Sierra, Escalade, Tahoe. Electrical problems (techs call it gremlins) that cause door locks to go up and down, gauges to go crazy, trans downshifting, StabiliTrak, left day time running light will be out (every 2007-2018 GM truck has a DTRL out on one side) because of a bad ground. Dealers say its battery cables or ECU programming. It is a faulty wiring harness and ground connections. Remember the faulty (death) ignition? Nope. It just happened and has already disappeared. GM trucks are garbage. I know, I had three and now am down to two. I also have a Ford (great truck no problems), and Infinity 5.6V8 (which is Nissan - 2000% better truck than any of my GMs). The only decent GM truck out of 20 GM trucks Ive owned over the last 20 years has been the 3500 Dually 7.4L gas (remove CC and replace with performance RV exhaust). I have to strip grounds on my Escalade every other week just to keep it from shutting off. The ground strap from block to firewall near the power brake booster was green and falling apart. Im in FL, with no salt or corrosion. These trucks are slapped together with the lowest bidder supplying the parts. With the way Nissan and Toyota are coming on with the full size (and diesels) I cant see GM having any future in the truck business. They need to stick with competing against Tesla with their Volt (which is twice the car as a Model 3 - and Im an Elon fan). Dodge is coming on REAL strong with their interior. Never thought Id look at a Dodge product until I saw their new RAM products. But GM... as soon as the rest of my GM fleet are done, Ill never buy another GM truck. Nope. They took the bailout. Ford didnt. They have problems and deny them. Other companies admit, fix, pay fine, fire people, and move on (Volkswagen and others). But not GM. Its the old school Detroit thinking... deny deny deny. Thats why they are losing market share and their stock is garbage like their trucks. Ick, I cant wait to get rid of all mine.

I am a former executive of GM. While employed, I cautioned management via the PEP Program that for years GM has not fixed a problem with their driving lights on many of their vehicles. After a few years, at least one or both white driving lights burns out usually from a hot socket, Im told. Ive owned several GM vehicles and presently drive a Yukon among them. For years knowing my years with GM, my friends and acquaintances often tell me, You can most always tell/bet the GM vehicle approaching you with at least one driving light out is a GM truck, crossover, etc. at least 90%+ of the time. I have no answer as to why for years this kind of on-going negative on-road advertising has been allowed to exist, do you? If its a supplier wiring harness issue, lets fix it as no amount of TV and other media positive advertising can overcome a day and night visible problem that gets most peoples constant attention and commentary. (In short, would any of us re-buy vehicles that after a few years, long before their lifetime runs their course, visibly advertise that they have a rather simple visible fix that seems to be an endemic GM problem? I think not!) Like Forrest Gump is noted as saying, Stupid is as stupid does. For all our GM families sake, investigate and fix as appropriate this seemingly forever on the road negative adverting. 2014 Chevy Captiva key stuck in ignition. My key cannot be removed from the ignition of my car when it is in park due to the same engineering defect addressed by GMs special coverage adjustment which covers millions and millions of cars - not including mine. It is costing me $1100.00 in parts and labor to fix this issue which has drained my battery and left me stranded on many occasions. I should not have to pay for GMs ignition design defect. GM should be held accountable for ANY of its vehicles exhibiting ignition and shifting defects, as it is already well known for causing deadly accidents due to engineering oversights. I am hoping to receive cash assistance from Chevy to cover the labor.

I own a 2012 Chevy Equinox (52000 miles) that I purchased from my Chevy dealership. The key fab holds the brass key in pot metal and it broke last year. That key was replaced under warranty. Saturday, the key I got to replace that key broke in the same manner. (25,000 miles later) Saturday, I brought the key in and was told I need to talk with the Service Manager. I explained the problem to the Service Manager and he offered me a new key at a discount. If I had something to do with the key breaking, I would be fine with the offer. Plus, there is no guarantee that the same issue will not happen to the new key. I do not want to be purchasing a new key every so often because of poor design. I was only 2,000 miles out of warranty and they would not replace a recurring issue.I wrote the president of the dealership and she said sorry but would not do anything. My steering wheel has also worn away and I had to put a cover on it. Poor quality. I own a VW TDI which I will be trading in sometime in November. Today was a true test of your customer service. I planned on purchasing a ton crew cab truck to replace the VW. After this experience I do not plan on considering your dealership at this point. I also plan on taking my business elsewhere for service.

In October of 2016 the engine light came on, and it was discovered to have been caused by the mass airflow system. I had this part replaced but within a few days the light was on again. I brought the car back to the shop and the part was replaced a second time. Upon test drive, the light again came back on. A third part was ordered and replaced. When the light came on for the fourth time, my mechanic ran through the wiring system but did not find anything out of the ordinary. He ran checks on the gas pedal and various other sensors. He then deduced that the problem was not with any of the sensors, nor any of the mechanical systems in the vehicle. He thought it might be the ECM, but advised me to bring the car to Central Chevrolet to have them look deeper into the issue. The Astra was taken to Central Chevrolet, where they subsequently ran diagnostics and discovered that the ECM was, in fact, bad. I inquired about purchasing an ECM from a parts site that I will not name, but was informed that GM would be unable to or would not program the computer unless it was an OEM part. At this point, my hands were tied. I would have to spend $700 on the part if I wanted my car to run properly again. I bit the bullet and told them to go ahead and move forward with the repair.Central Chevrolet received the part and assigned one of their GM technicians to begin the programming. As the process neared completion, the ECM was bricked. A second ECM was purchased and a second, more qualified GM tech was assigned to do the programming. He was on the phone with either a TAC or TISS representative I cant recall which and together they went through the programming process step by step. Again, the programming failed toward the end and bricked the part. It was not until after this second part failed that GM decided to inform the service department at Central Chevrolet that the pre-2009 Saturn software for this part is no longer available. So here I am now, six months after the engine light first came on and at least six weeks without my vehicle. As I was without the car for several days here and there for troubleshooting between October and March, the inconvenience is even greater. How can GM just let software go away for a car that is not even ten years old? Its software, its not like its taking up a bunch of space in a warehouse somewhere. Additionally, how does GM sell a part to a repair shop TWICE without advising that the software required to make it work no longer exists? And then to wait until AFTER the second part bricks?I called GMs customer service line and spoke with Joe, who sent me to Shaneva. Shaneva informed me that she would call Central Chevrolet for more details, and that I would have to wait 24-72 hours before receiving an update. The call came at the 72nd hour. When Shaneva informed me that in lieu of a resolution, I was being offered an Owners Loyalty Certification, I asked to be directed to a supervisor. I was told my call would be returned within 24-48 hours. I received no response within that time frame, and I actually had to call back again.I have since retrieved my car from Central Chevrolet. It is now in much worse condition than it was when I brought it in, and the vehicle is simply not safe to drive. I expected the original issue to still be a problem. I did NOT expect to be left with a car that I can no longer drive AT ALL! I have been a GM customer/vehicle owner for over 20 years, and I have never had a problem, until now. I am extremely disappointed in the way this situation has been unfolding. When I purchase a car, I expect it to get old and to need repairs. I also expect to have the choice of whether to make those repairs. In this situation, not only do I have no choice, but GM has the gall to offer me an Owners Loyalty Certificate with the expectation that I would purchase another GM product.

Bought a 2017 Silverado from Clark’s, after 8 month agonizing experience with a dealer who ran me around with excuses, charged me for repairs which had nothing to do with the flawed product they sold me, even though it was under warranty, which is a joke by the way. They kept telling me they didn’t know what was wrong with the vehicle and after many trips there basically told me it’s up to me and GM to solve. By all the reviews I’ve read about this treatment of their customers it sounds like it’s a trend. I wouldn’t recommend a GM product to anybody with this lack of concern about their customers or their product in which they do not stand behind. Id rate them a negative 5 stars.

I bought a late model 2006 Chevrolet Duramax with the LBZ engine. A local Kwik Stop got flood water in their diesel. I didnt find that out until after my Chevy dealer replaced two injectors under warranty. They had a hard time finding them --some national hold. Now, three or maybe four injectors have failed. I emailed GM Customer Service. They responded quickly and called me but according to the lady who called this morning, GM is on backorder status with Bosch. Not only that, she indicated that Bosch may not even be making the injector! Some guys have been waiting all summer for theirs. So my $43k truck is sitting on the dealers lot collecting dust in the sun. A truck with the same engine from New York is sitting there also, waiting. The GM Customer Service lady told me no one else I could talk to would have any other information. I had called Bosch earlier and they also responded quickly, but the guy I talked to couldnt even cross reference the OEM part number for the injector. He said Bosch is the exclusive manufacturer for GM. Go figure.

Car was purchased new less than 6 years ago, less than 66,000 on it. Have had oil consumption issues. Three weeks ago, check engine, StabiliTrak, and loss of engine power lights started coming on while idling at stop signs and lights and experiencing stalls at same stop signs and lights. Husband checked and even though the check oil light was not on, there was virtually no oil in the car, added 2 quarts. Took car in for service. Dealer said it was a stretched timing chain and fuel pump needed to be replaced. Take home and return the following Monday when parts are in. When they went to do the service, engine was found to have lots of metal in it and needed to be replaced at our cost as warranty is out. Dealer offered no other options.GM says they can offer no assistance as the engine was not torn down. Dealer then offered a 10% discount on labor. The engine is still costing me $3,900 plus tax etc. I am appalled that GM is making me pay as this the car was regularly serviced. An engine should not fail at less than 66,000. Customer service has pretty much said suck it up. We will never purchase GM again. The dash cracked because of Armor All and my driving habits (I DONT USE ARMOR ALL AND I DONT GO OFF ROAD. HAHA. IM 70 YEARS OLD AND DONT DRIVE MUCH)... The paint coming off the roof was caused by an OUTSIDE SOURCE... they wouldnt say what outside source was. I bought a brand new Chevy Traverse LTZ in 2012. By 2014, I started having issues with the navigation. Fast forward to the end of 2017, and I have 8 officially documented cases of the dealership and I going rounds with GM trying to fix the same issue. This does not include extra trips I made to the dealership with hopes of rectifying the issue. Aside from when the navigation DID work, and would send me off the highway for no reason, just to get back on the highway, or not showing me on any road when I clearly was, or street names not coming up in older neighborhoods, or turning me on streets that didnt exist... The entire system is now inoperable. I get an error on the screen that either says, Map Disc Error, Disc Check in Progress, or Disc Error, to name a few. Most of the time you cant push any buttons on the screen because they dont work, or you cant turn the navigation screen on at all. I had 2 CDs eaten by bad radios too. One of them went to GM when the dealership sent the radio to them. I had no problems dealing with the dealership and I realize that it is not their fault that GM puts faulty parts in their machines, but as a consumer I am OUTRAGED and I just want a working navigation that I paid thousands extra for in the vehicle. It has barely worked even for a short period of time. I went to the dealership 8 times and got a receipt for services... But that does not include additional trips there to have something installed or for a new diagnostic. I have had my vehicles radio replaced 3 times and the map disc replaced 4 times.Every time I call GM Infotainment, the reps are unknowledgeable, unintelligent, and rude. As someone else said on ConsumerAffairs.com, they are not there for the consumer... Every single one I have spoken to shrugs off issues, doesnt know anything about GM products, and makes it clear that they are just answering that phone for a paycheck. Now when I try to talk to anyone, they always resort to, Go to the dealership. We need a new diagnostic. They dont have a diagnostic from any of my other visits because the dealership doesnt have the correct equipment to test something like this; Its GM parts... They dont make parts. Its a problem with a system or software or something they dont know anything about. But GM also states they cant use any of my previous other diagnostics because the error code could have possibly changed by now. They also cant tell me if it had changed in the 3 years Ive been dealing with this. Ive tried talking to what I thought was the legal department of GM, only to find out that everything goes through the Infotainment customer service reps... Who need training on customer service... Who always revert to demanding I go to the dealership for a new diagnostic and that THATS their resolution to the issues. They cant tell me if there is a resolution to the problem, if other people have experienced the same issues, or that there is anyone else in ALL OF GM who I could talk to about this. Ive demanded the costs of the navigation system to be reimbursed for the vehicle so I can purchase a GPS, and would also settle for a new satellite radio system so I dont have to deal with the map discs... But I cant get anywhere since everything reverts back to, go to the dealership for a new diagnostic. I have moved out of state where I was dealing with this, so going to a dealership for something they have no reports of or control over will cost me. I dont think so. This is NOT customer service. I am posting this on ConsumerAffairs, BBB, and mailing it to GM (PO Box 33170, Detroit MI 48232-5170 for those of you who cant find the address). Next steps in the process are getting my own attorneys if I dont hear from the ConsumerAffairs attorneys first.

I have owned GM products since the early 80s, including 2 Buicks, 2 Corvettes, a Malibu, an Envoy and now a Terrain Denali. This included a full navigation system that listed at over $400. Just over a year after the purchase the navigation system stopped working, but since I did not use it, I did not bring it in to get to get fixed. I did bring it in just past the warranty period of 2 years and they were unable to service it that as the particular service tech that worked on these systems was not in. Finally got it in yesterday, 3 years after purchase and they want $728 to replace a interface control module. Yes its over the 2 year warranty period, so they are correct, but this is just too much. So much for customer loyalty. I have redeemed over $19,000 of the GM Card on new products and now I am cancelling and will never buy another GM product. Currently have over $3k credit on the card and cant use that to fix the navigation system either. This module also runs the ON-STAR system.

My timing chain needs replacing on My 2009 CTS. The code indicated the failure at 93,000.00. The car was properly maintained so I was surprised at this. In researching this I found it is a common known problem with the 3.6 for many models and years. GM refused to have a recall and chose a warranty extension on a few vehicles by VIN number, but left the majority of their customers stuck with $1,000.00 to $1,800.00 bill depending on where it is repaired. I have always supported GM with half of my family having worked for them. I will NEVER buy another GM vehicle, and will discourage all my clients, (approx 1000) and social media followers, another 1200 from trusting GM again. They are unethical.

Talk about feeling like a valued customer! Me paying my car note has nothing to do with me being inconvenienced over a product that I bought from YOU! They are telling me the dealership has to process my reimbursement because it will move a lot faster, however I got my car back mid December, it is almost February and I am still dealing with this and havent received anything! I am very dissatisfied with GMs customer service and the way they treat their customers! I will never purchase another GM car and I definitely wont be referring any one to either! I have a cousin who experienced some of the same issues with Dodge and her experience was smooth sailing! Original Review: I purchased a 2019 Chevy Camaro in June 2019 due to a car accident and my previous car being totaled which was a Dodge (Challenger). I had the Camaro for 90 days then had to put it in the shop due to safety issues! Passenger Airbag broken! This is a brand new car in which I should not be experiencing these type of problems. My car has been in the shop for almost 2 months now due to GM being on strike and the part to fix my car has not been available and no one can tell me when. I was told GM would not give me a new car but would compensate me once the problem is fixed! **! Im having to pay a car note for a BRAND NEW CAR that I cant even enjoy! VERY UPSETTING! Im totally dissatisfied with GM and I wish I never purchased this car! Shouldve just stuck with DODGE!

We purchased a oil pump through a local car dealership. We had to pay our mechanic to install the oil pump. The car was still having issues. We had to pay to take the vehicle to a dealership to run diagnostics to find the issue. It was confirmed the oil pump was defective and needed to be replaced. We were able to return the part and exchange for a new one with the original dealership. I asked that dealership about getting our expense on having to replace the oil pump and the diagnostics testing ($850) refunded. I was told the dealership would not issue any refund on that and to contact GM. I called GMs customer support line and was told because the mileage exceeded 36,000 miles, they would not offer any assistance on getting a refund on our expenses incurred from the defective part.

I have been complaining about the same concerns to GMC customer assistance for months. I am not getting any assistance from the dealer and a customer “senior” case manager seems to forget our conversations EVERY TIME! I have been being pulled along for a ride regarding how important my business is and that they will have a resolution to either trade me out of my car with assistance or buy this lemon back. It is appalling how I am being treated right now after being patient for months and months and trying to work with a brand that I have been very loyal to, to receive zero action and all talk. I will be trading in my vehicle and leaving the brand after spending over 75k on a Denali and 60k on a Suburban brand new off the lot from a GMC dealer. All over poor customer service.

I have a 2018 Chevy Trax awd. On 8/4/21 my engine died. We assume as they really havent told us yet what is wrong. We had the car towed to our dealer Outten Chevy in Hamburg PA. Immediately they started coming up with reasons to void the 5 year, 60,000 mile power train warranty. They have used several excuses from wrong oil filter installed even though according to websites it was the right one, to low oil even though it was fine until the incident and then started leaking oil on way to dealer on a flatbed. It is now 11/15/21. More than 3 months and my car is sitting at the dealership and we are yet to hear from GMAC. We have sent them a certified letter, when we call we leave voicemails and cannot get ahold of anyone. The dealership told us the tube to the turbo melted but would not say if that caused the engine issue. They offered to replace it at a cost to us but said may not fix the issue. Sounds like a flaw to me but GMAC is not recognizing this or covering under their warranty. How can a 3.5 year old car engine blow when we maintained it and was driven with care. I cannot believe that we are having this much trouble for a company to stand behind their product. Not only is the dealership doing nothing but GMAC doesnt seem to want to do anything either. I work two jobs and have had to rely on friends and family to borrow cars as they could not even provide a loaner car to me. I am still paying payments and insurance on a vehicle that has been sitting on a dealers lot still waiting to be diagnosed because they are not looking into it since they cant seem to get it covered under the warranty. What is wrong with this world with businesses not standing behind their products and doing the right thing. We come from a long list of Chevy/gmac owned vehicles from a 41 chevy coupe to a 2020 Gmac Denali and numerous in between and never ever have had an issue like this. I simply cannot believe it, but it is causing us to rethink about buy Chevy/gmac. I know I read reviews and I hope that this may help someone else in the future when considering to buy a Chevy/gmac be careful cause they may not stand behind their product. As for me, I will be continuing my fight for them to do whats right and fix my car.

My dashboard is caving in. I contacted GM. They asked me to take it to a dealer, which I did. Now, they are telling me that this is due to the age of my vehicle. I have owned plenty of vehicles and never have I experienced my dashboard to cave in. My vehicle has 120,000 miles. They are telling me it is no longer covered. My vehicle is a 2007. Ive owned vehicles with 200,000 miles and Ive never had my dashboard cave in. This is a safety concern. The airbag cover is popped out. And there are two cracks around the airbag. I dont feel safe to have people in the passenger seat of my vehicle. The door handles are also chipped, and have cut myself and passengers in my vehicle. Because of provisions in the special campaign, they are refusing to correct the problem. GM didnt have a problem financing me for 7 years, or taking my $30,000 plus when I purchased my vehicle. But now, they are refusing to fix their faulty product.

It was definitely an informative visit in March 2021 at Starling Chevrolet
It was definitely an informative visit in March 2021 at Starling Chevrolet in Mount Pleasant SC - this is about a GM warranty issue! Apparently GM uses parts that that do not work well for very long based on this event. Another customer brought in her car because of a noise it makes all the time. Her service advisor told her even if it was still under warranty, GM would not replace the part because the part was still working! Well, it wasnt working correctly, and obviously if it is now noisy, which the mechanic had verified it was, it was certainly not well and just when might it get worse?? I was very angry about this because my older GM car was in there for service and repair and I expect to buy a new car in the next three months, and this would certainly eliminate all the GM cars from my list. I went to the showroom receptionist and asked to see the general manager or sales manager to express my opinion about the policy and let them know it had cost them my sale, but neither of them was available - she tried to reach them by phone but was also unsuccessful. After I went home, I called again to see if either was available and was told no, then I asked for the corporate office phone number and she said she didnt have it. So that left me to file this information online to try to warn others of this warranty policy before they buy a Chevy or Buick or Cadillac or any other GM truck or car or other vehicle in case it matters to them if GM wont replace a part making noises when wearing out even if under warranty because they consider the part as working. Shouldnt it have to be working right???

This is what happened - On November 11, 2015 the tow truck took my truck to Rudolph Chevrolet which they diagnostic my truck with a non working cam and lifters. My truck is well maintained with 107k miles. I did my research and I realized there are many cases identical or similar to my situation. The dealership quote $4K repair (parts and labor). I placed a complain at GM customer service and they contacted the dealership and both decided they will help with $950 which doesnt look fair to me specially when I know there are other GM customers facing a similar case. Today 11/16/15 I called GM customer service and spoke to a unprofessional representative named Alicia. She denied to transfer me a supervisor stating the supervisor was not available since she was at lunch time. After arguing for another 8 minutes she place me on hold for over 10 minutes until the supervisor answered. Supervisor said there was nothing else to do. I asked her if there was somebody else I could talk to and she said NO, I asked her if there was another department I could place a complain, and she said NO. Supervisor said since my warranty expired there was nothing else she could do. Im only asking for help, I bought my truck in good faith and Im only asking to GM to provide help to a loyal customer.

I am an owner of a 2013 Cadillac XTS. This vehicle is the third Cadillac car/truck I have owned. I am reaching out to you regarding case **. Ive leased the car in November of 2012, during this time I have had a serious safety issue and major concern. The brakes have failed on 4 different times. I have taken it to the shop, different reasonings why, but no complete/real answer. At this time I do not feel safe and confident driving the vehicle. The dealership which has it now, doesnt want to keep the car, stating it may not sell after. I am trying to get in contact with the sale manager at Crown Cadillac in Watchung NJ. As I will guess they would want me to take the vehicle to New Jersey to turn in, not sure what difference it would make. As stated the car isnt safe for my family, myself and possibly causing a crash on the road. After a week, they reached back to me, stating there is nothing they can or will do for me and have a nice day. Customer service for a loyal buyer, I think not. I will never purchase and/or lease a Cadillac vehicle again.

Tale of woe with my Chevy Silverado. If you dont want to read this entire t
Tale of woe with my Chevy Silverado. If you dont want to read this entire tale of woe then let me sum it up here. Your Chevy truck may rust out to the point of being pulled off the road because of rust in as little as 84,000 miles making it a loss for resale or trade in. Ive had a Chevrolet Silverado since 2003. I purchased it new. It is an automatic V8 Z71. The off road sport model. This story isnt about the multitude of issues that it has had regarding brakes, brake lines, rotors, wheel hubs, and bearings. No, thats another story. Back in 2003 I worked out a price, with trade in of about $23,000. Since then, and as of this writing 2014, Ive put in about $7000 of non-maintenance work and parts into it. Yes, its going on 11 years old now but its only got 84,000 miles on it and it pretty much looks near new from about ten feet away. The other day I took it to my service station for an oil change and inspection. It seems that the frame is rusted out so much that an inspection sticker is impossible. The recommendation is to get rid of it as repair of the frame would be expensive as the rust is widespread and affects cross members that are pivot points. So, Im stuck with a truck that looks great on the outside but has a rusted frame that makes it junk status in a trade-in and unsellable privately as its not inspected. The vehicle has what I figure as half of its mileage. Id expect to get at least 160,000 miles instead of the 84,000 it currently has. Why? Because even though I do live in the snow belt in Maine where road salt is used, I have a Tahoe that is 14 years old, has 164,000 miles on it (double the mileage), has been driven in the same area and housed in the same garage and has a frame that has a few years left in it.I called GM. All Ill say is that I got a case number and promise of being called back. That never happened. I called and got another case number as there was no record of the first with the promise of a call back. That didnt happen. I took it to a chevy dealer, on my own, who lifted it and documented the issue. They called GM and I was promised a call from them. That didnt happen. I called again. My case number was classified as issue resolved. My last tussle with GM was a flat youre over warranty so theres nothing we can do. Two weeks to get that final answer. So what was I hoping for? A deal on a new vehicle? Some repair funding? An apology? Anything would have been okay. In looking for a new truck last week I did find out that Toyota had a horrendous frame rusting issue in some trucks from 2001-2004. What did they do about it? Up until 2012 they volunteered owners of these vehicles a new frame installed at Toyotas expense or 150% blue book value of the vehicle. Thousands of truck owners were contacted and restitution was made. What about after 2012? They will still come to some restitution on a case by case basis as long as you own the vehicle. So, a warning. If youve got a GM vehicle and have been happy with it like I have with my older tahoe, well thats wonderful. But, the next GM vehicle you purchase could be great or it could be a disaster that will drain your bank account and cause you to have to purchase a new vehicle before youre ready. With GM, its a crap shoot.Other notes: Notice driving/headlights out on cars as they pass. Most are GM. (my truck loses them all the time). Look for used trucks on Craigslist. You’ll see a bunch. 2/3 of them a Chevys. When I see someone in a parking lot with a Silverado truck that is about the same year as mine I ask about it. I hear the same tale of woe.

My boyfriend and I drove over 2 hours to a dealership that had the 2016 GM Canyon Diesel in stock. Purchased the vehicle and everything was great. That was on a Tuesday. With less than 500 miles on the truck and being 5 hours away from home on Friday (3 days later), the truck wouldnt start. Completely disabled. GM had the truck towed to the closest dealership to evaluate and repair. That was Friday, February 26, 2016. Today is Tuesday, March 8, 2016 and we are NO closer to having our truck repaired or replaced. Have made dozens of calls to the dealership that is supposed to be fixing the truck, to the dealership that sold us the truck, and finally to GM company. Everyone is very sympathetic and agrees this is terrible but do nothing! We requested a new truck. No, have to go through the warranty channels. We have this truck 3 Days! It died with less than 500 miles on it. They have had the truck now for 12 days. No answers on when the truck will be fixed. The dealership with the truck doesnt sound like they know how to fix it. GM gives a different answer each time we call and get a different person. Asked for higher up, get nowhere. Worse customer service ever!!

I have a 2012 Buick Enclave. It is well maintained. Out of the blue a few weeks ago the trunk slammed on my head when I was taking items out of it. It didnt stop when it hit me. Just slammed down. I contacted GM knowing that there was a recall on this part before. I also saw that there were several class action lawsuits out so I assumed they would be good to help me. I sent them photos and videos, etc. It is a danger and I cannot use my trunk without someone holding it open. Even when you do it can push down against you so you have to jump out of the way. They refuse to fix it or even have the car inspected. Horrible customer service and terribly rude. Stay far far away from this company and these cars. If this had landed on one of my kids it would have caused serious damage.

GMC Terrain - Other family members had this model car and I was impressed with the smooth ride. They seemed happy with the performance so when I was ready to trade cars this is the model that I searched for. Great looking car, gets good gas mileage. Have had no mechanical problems at all. Transports five comfortably with plenty of cargo room. Great all-around vehicle and continually receive compliments on how attractive the car is. But I have had trouble with the WiFi and phone charger outlet. Not sure if it is only with my vehicle but have tried to get it fixed and was told I would have to take it to the manufacturers dealership. I havent done that because it was quite a bit of trouble and I didnt purchase it there. Also, since purchasing the car I have had some physical problems with my shoulders and lifting the back cargo door is a little difficult because it is so heavy. I am thinking about trading for a slightly smaller car that would be easier for me to handle.

I contacted GM motors complaints department many times regarding a cracked passengers airbag section. The full airbag compartment is cracked perfectly around the bag and my car is showing the sign of service airbag. Clearly this is a manufacturing problem. However, they are refusing to pay the service to check to ensure the airbag is safe. I will hold GM responsible for ANY damage that happens if the airbag inflates for no reason since the compartment is obviously cracked and in a perfect shape around the bag. I am too scared to even have a passenger sit in my car in the front out of fear that it could inflate at anytime with no proper cause. They continually and in writing have refused to pay for the service. They will be paying a whole lot more than $100 if this bag opens up suddenly in my car.ZERO HELP from their staff. You have to contact them multiple times to actually receive a reply. Multiple emails to have someone call you back. They give you their number and extension but NEVER answer their calls. When they call you back if you are not available next to your phone, dont expect them to answer your call back even if its seconds later. NEVER EVER BUYING A GM CAR EVER IN MY LIFE AGAIN. Guaranteed am also telling everyone I know the same. They are great as long as you are signing your cheques over for them, otherwise, NO ONE CARES for your safety or anything else. Am sure this review will also be insignificant to them, but at least if anyone wants to know the truth about them, they can read all the different opinions of real people before deciding.

I purchased a used 2010 Traverse from Peruzzi GMC. When I test drove it, it was fine. We go to leave the dealer with the vehicle and the check engine light was on! The salesman tells me, oh its probably just a gas cap, drive it and it will go away. I refused to take the vehicle without having something in writing. Good thing because we left and the light never went off. A few days later I had my wife bring it back and the code was for the timing chain! Dealer had no choice but to replace it being as I had it in writing although they act like they did us a favor...Apparently they changed the chains and never bothered changing the oil which had bits and pieces of debris from failing pieces in it. Not even 4,500 miles after purchasing the engine seized without any warning with my wife and 4 kids in the car on our way home. GM denied any responsibility and only went to the shop to try and find reasons as to why they wouldnt help. The service manager told me the motor failed because I didnt change the oil. Mind you, when replacing the chain the dealer should have changed the oil and didnt... Even still, the manual says to change it according to the light or if it has gone 1 year. Neither situations occurred. The oil life was still at 74%. I ended up paying $6500 out of pocket to have the motor replaced. Then a fuel injector fails and renders the vehicle un-drivable 4 miles after getting a new motor. Then the A/C stopped working. Only hot air. Dealer tells me its probably the evaporator which is behind the dash and is another few thousand to fix! After some diagnostic and research I found it to be the blend door actuator, a $50 piece and 30 minutes of my time. Huge difference and Im not the GM mechanic... THEN a coil pack goes bad. Need to remove the intake plenum to get to it. Another $330. Few days later, CEL AGAIN! Now its the catalytic converter and the dealer wants THOUSANDS to fix! The rear wiper stopped working, had to replace 2 front speakers. Since the purchase, I have spent just as much money fixing it as the vehicle cost me. GM takes no responsibility since I refused the extended warranty through some 3rd party company which Ive dealt with before and denied every claim submitted. Its a joke. GM and Chevrolet should be ashamed as a company with these products representing them. Ive owned 17 cars in my time and this is by far the WORST vehicle I have every purchased. Worse than my BMW 745Li which is one of its most problematic vehicles! I will NEVER purchase another Chevy and will recommend any and everyone to do the same. They produce junk vehicles with junk parts and force the consumer to pay for their cut corners! While enduring all of these issues Ive done a lot of research and come to the conclusion that most people who own these vehicles experience these problems which SHOULD lead to a class action suit. Even the re-manufacturing company where I purchased my motor said that motor is their top seller. They move more of those 3.6L v6 motors for GM than all others combined!

Ive had my (purchased brand new in 2016) 2015 GMC Sierra held hostage at the local dealership for a total of 38 days so far while GMC makes up their mind to replace or completely rebuild the transmission. The decision has been made to rebuild so I can expect it to be in at least another couple weeks while parts are ordered. Huge inconvenience for my family as we had to cancel a family vacation which required the truck to tow our travel trailer. So far the truck has had 4-5 recalls and warranty replacement of the A/C unit and a radiator. The dealership Shop Manager told me GMC does not care about their customers if they can save themselves a few dollars. This will be the last GM product myself and my business will be purchasing. 2008 gmc denali radio control tire censor. What a stupid total waste of money. Cost me another 300.00 to get the stupid aluminum junk parts replaced. I never seen such a total stupid unnecessary device in my life. I had one tire worked on 3 times and they found nothing wrong but it still leaked. Most tire dealers drop the nut off the sensor and let it drop into the tire not wanting to tell you it cost another $80.00 a tire to fix the problem the junk sensor. I happen to get an honest dealer and explained the stupid engineering retarded situation. Thanks for the stupid extra expense. I grew up when a car had an ignition switch and an oil gauge and was happy. I own a tire gauge and can see a low tire that does not cost an extra $300.00 from my social security.I called gmc customer service 5 times and got nothing but the run around. I was disconnected and put on hold several times. Rep 1 was foreign, could not understand me. Rep 2 I was disconnected. Rep 3 wanted me to spell sensor three times, said he had never heard of that type of auto part. Rep 4 asked for my first name then put me on hold then rep 5 asked for my last name, then my address and I said 6867, only my house number then she asked me to spell it. So I said six eight six seven. Then she started to explain why I had to spell. I never got my whole address out she kept talking over me. We got a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix in Aug. of 2009 from a dealer, not a GM dealer. It had 36,000 miles. We took a trip over to Ohio overnight, checked into the hotel, got dress to go check out their Casino. As we was driving on the hwy the car lost all power, had a warranty on it. Got in touch with the warranty company and they told us that we had to take it to a GM dealer for repairs, so we had it towed to one that night. We got up the next morning called the dealer to let them know what was going on. They called the warranty company to let them know the issue with the car. At that time the warranty company told the dealer it wasnt covered.I got in touch with the lease company to see if they could get the problem taken care. NOT. Come to find out the the Ignition Control Module and Coil Pick went out. We had to pay $706.00 for repair. Now since GM have recalls on the ignition switch I said let me find out about this issue we had, they are telling me that not all 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix are in the recalls. They also stated that if the car over 100,000 miles on it that they dont pay for any repairs and recalls so I told the lady at GM @866-790-5600 that I would be speaking with an attorney about taking them to small claims. She told me that the call has been ended because I said to her that I will be talking with one about this issue. Also we have issues with our brakes, airbags, power steering, and lights.

I own a 2017 Equinox, with less than 65,000 miles on it, so out of warranty by mileage by less than 2,000 miles but by year covered until 2021. My car broke down on the highway, and after getting it to a Chevy dealership I was told that I need to completely replace my engine! I had been driving my car for a solid 30 minutes before my car broke down, with no warning lights, or indication that something was wrong. I receive the diagnostic reports every month and in the last report sent to me in January nothing indicated that something was wrong with my engine. The only reason I called GM to see what they could do was because I was not far out of my warranty, I had never had a single issue with my car or major work done, and till that point been very satisfied with GM. Since I was out of warranty by mileage GM refused to help cover the cost ($5,000 just for the engine and $2,400 service and labor), and that the best thing that could be offered was what the dealership offered which was $300 off, and a $250 mail and rebate! When I asked to speak to someone above a Senior advisor, they told me that no one is able to talk to a district manager, or regional manager since theyre traveling to dealerships all the time and dont have time to talk. So I just had to swallow the fact that I had to pay $7,400 out of pocket. I love my car, and when I got my car back I was so happy! BUT... I am fearful that as I continue to drive this car, or a GM product I am setting myself up for another massive expense. I will not be speaking highly of GM products and I will never be purchasing a GM product ever again. This is a large large large Corporation, and I did not go to customer service with a car that had 100,000+ miles or with a car that was 5+years old. I came to you with a 2-year-old car and with less than 65,000 miles on it and received no help, or even met half way! If anyone is looking for advice or on the fence about making a purchase of a GM car Do not go through with it.

My wifes 2010 GMC Acadia has 60200 miles. We have had it in for the gauges
My wifes 2010 GMC Acadia has 60200 miles. We have had it in for the gauges not coming on right away. I still believe it is in the ignition switch. Vehicle was taken in for steering problems. Steering would lock up. Deal charged me 1400.00 to replace the power steering pump, rack and pinion, and struts. They advised GM recommends a 12 vain steering pump instead of a 6 vain pump. GM knows there is a problem with this but will not do a recall. I can believe they dont care about wives and grandchildren safety. I have owned 24 GM products since I was 16 years old. I am 60 now with three GM products including a Duramax Diesel. I dont like to buy foreign but I guess I will have to start.

I expected non power seats, no remote start, etc. I can lift the rear hatch without a problem, but an incomplete radio. The vehicle (GMC Terrain) does not have a radio that get Sirius. Come on.

Worst car ever bought. I bought a brand new 2018 Terrain about 4 month ago
Worst car ever bought. I bought a brand new 2018 Terrain about 4 month ago and it has a weird noise in the transmission and the dealership and GM say they cant do anything about it. Would never recommend. I really regret buying a GM vehicle.

My recall file# is **. How many phone calls and messages must I leave with
My recall file# is **. How many phone calls and messages must I leave with Darwin before he calls me back? He was assigned to my case and looks like he refuses to call me back. I have left messages. I have had managers in our call center leave him messages and send him emails and he does not respond. The bad customer service seems as if it has permeated to all levels of staffing. All I want is to know what the status of my reimbursement check is.I regret buying a GM product now, and probably will never buy one again because no one seems to care, even despite all the bad public GM has received over the last few months. Please wake up and see the harm that people like Darwin are doing to your company. darwins # is **. You all have no respect for peoples lives, and now it seems that you have no regard to take care issues.
