The Chevrolet Suburban is a series of automobiles built by the Chevrolet division of General Motors. The name started in 1934 for the 1935 U.S. model year, making it the longest continuously used automobile nameplate in production. It has traditionally been one of General Motors' most profitable vehicles. The 1935 first generation Carryall Suburban was one of the first production all-metal bodied station wagons. It now has a full-size SUV body style and comes with three engine options: a 5.3 liter V8, 6.2 liter V8 or a 3.0 liter Inline-6 turbo diesel. The Suburban was additionally produced under the GMC marque until the GMC version was rebranded as the Yukon XL. It was also briefly marketed as a Holden. For most of its recent history, the Suburban has been a station wagon−bodied version of the Chevrolet pickup truck, including the Chevrolet C/K and Silverado series of truck-based vehicles. Cadillac offers a version called the Escalade ESV. The Suburban is sold in the United States, Canada, Central America, Chile, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, and the Middle East (except Israel) while the Yukon XL is sold only in North America (exclusive to the United States and Canada; Mexico to start in 2020) and the Middle East territories (except Israel). A 2018 iSeeCars.com study identified the Chevrolet Suburban as the car that is driven the most each year. A 2019 iSeeCars.com study named the Chevrolet Suburban the second-ranked longest-lasting vehicle. In December 2019, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce unveiled a Hollywood Walk of Fame star for the Suburban, noting that the Suburban had been in "1,750 films and TV shows since 1952."

Went into Ed Morse Service in Sunrise, FL with my 2003 Silverado diesel. Cost of repair for fuel injectors and related parts with labor, $6,500. Found out GM KNEW the injectors were deficient, so they extended the warranty time and mileage to 200,000 miles and then changed the design on future models. My truck had 179,900 miles but was beyond the warranty time limit, so I asked GM Customer Care if they would just cover the bad injectors and I would pay for all other parts and labor. Their response was in no way will we help you since you are out of warranty. The Customer Care rep was rude, didnt know about the warranty change and chased me away from buying another Chevy truck.

Twice, I have experienced a disturbing situation when I accidentally touched the engine start/stop button while driving. When this occurred, the drivers information screen advised me to put the car in Park, depress the brake pedal and push the engine stop/start button. This is an impossible feat when the car is in motion. The dealership advised me to put the moving car in neutral, lightly depress the brake pedal and press the start button. Obviously, Buick is aware of the problem if this hair-brained solution is proposed to the owner. The location of the start/stop button can easily allow the driver to accidentally touch it because of its proximity to the lane change on/off button, the act of extending ones finger into the recessed touch screen to change a radio station or adjusting the air vent to the right of the steering wheel. The location of the button is a gross design error. Even the LaCross has the proper location for the start/stop button. Will Buick acknowledge its mistake and provide all Verano owners with a safe alternative to solve this problem?

Bought a very expensive GMC Yukon Denali in Sep 2017 and almost a year from that, car started with engine malfunction and shaking while we are driving putting us on risk. We tried to take the car to the dealership 3 times for the same issue and nothing has been fixed. I scheduled the 4th visit this week on Wednesday but not sure if worthless. I do not trust anymore GM, GMC, the dealership and the customer relationship care. Definitely, the car maker do not take care of customers.

PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING A 2020 GENERAL MOTORS PRODUCT. GM has no available parts to fix them, should you have an accident or something breaks. My 2020 GMC Terrain has been sitting in an auto body repair shop waiting on a rear left door since June 1st of 2020. My rental car insurance coverage has met the policy maximum as of June 26th, and now Im having to pay an additional $200 a Week for a rental, while my car sits waiting on a GM part. Their response to me was we have no parts available with no date of when parts will be available. I was informed by the repair shop it could be next week it could be 6 months, could be a year from now. GM is unable to provide a date when they expect to manufacture parts. GM is costing $800 of my monthly net income and has provided no customer service of any type. Ive called GM directly with no response other than the parts are on backorder. Ive filed a Customer Complaint with GM and with the Federal Trade Commission. - Hope this helps save someone a good deal of expense and aggravation. Thank you and take care.

My Disappointing Experience with General Motors and Leith Buick GMC of Wend
My Disappointing Experience with General Motors and Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC. November 10, 2018, my vehicle began to misfire. I had the code pulled and contacted Ryan **, Service Advisor at Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC, on November 12, 2018 to bring my vehicle for repair of cylinder 2 and 4 on November 17, 2018. By November 15, 2018, driving conditions worsened and I had to take the vehicle earlier than expected to Leith Buick GMC on November 16, 2018. They gave me a loaner to drive while they had my vehicle for service and repair. By November 20, 2018, Ryan ** confirmed the misfire was on cylinder 2 and 4, along with other mechanical issues found. Ryan ** gave me pricing for all of the repairs and we discussed options for a possible trade. He forwarded my information to a sales representative, which whom I met with on November 23, 2018.After deep thought and discussion, I declined to trade down to a 4 door sedan with higher payment and authorized cylinder 2 and 4 to be repaired only. November 28, 2018 the repairs authorized was implemented and paid in full. March 3, 2019 my vehicle began to misfire again. I had the code pulled and found that the misfire was on cylinder 2; one of the same cylinders that Leith repaired November 28, 2018. March 4, 2019 I contacted Ryan ** to discuss the issue and to find out if the parts were refurbished that was put on the cylinders because it did not last.Ryan ** stated they were not refurbished parts, but that they could have been bad. He stated that I could bring the vehicle back to them and they would repair it. I refused to put the vehicle under additional stress to drive over an hour and a half for to have the repairs done again. Ryan stated being that the repairs were under warranty; I could go to any GM dealership to have it repaired that was closest to me. I called three GM dealerships in my area: David Westcott Buick/GMC in Burlington, NC; Flow Buick GMC of Greensboro, NC; and Bill Black Chevrolet of Greensboro, NC. All were busy and stated that they would have to keep the vehicle for at least three days and did not have a loaner available for me to drive to get back and forth to work. So, my only other option was to purchase the parts and have the vehicle repaired by another mechanic.March 7, 2019, I purchased the parts and instructed the mechanic to save the engine ignition coil and spark plug on cylinder 2 so that I could take it back to the dealership. The mechanic repaired what I asked and gave me back the coil and spark plug. To my surprise it was not a Bosch coil. It was an aftermarket part that did not match the invoice. April 10, 2019 I changed cylinder 4 coil and spark plug. I asked the mechanic to again give me back the coil and spark plug. To my surprise cylinder 4 coil was aftermarket as well.April 19, 2019, I took the parts back to Leith Buick GMC. I spoke with Ryan ** about the issue. Ryan ** denied that that they put the parts on the vehicle. He stated that I did not know and they could have come off of cylinder 3 and 5. He berated me with questions on what side of the engine it came off of, left or right. He said the parts they use are Bosch and showed me one as an example, pointing out the difference in the part. That the parts they use have part numbers and the part that I brought back did not. He would not listen to me at all. He kept saying that because I took the vehicle to someone else for repair there was nothing that they could do. I reminded him of our conversation March 4, 2019 and that I tried to do what he said and enlightened him of the outcome from it. He also stated that maybe I brought the parts to him. I told him that I did not bring the parts to them and the only parts that I took to them that they did not put on was the intake cover gasket.Ryan was still not willing to listen to me. He claimed I hollered at him, which I did not. My voice became firmer because he was still insinuating sublimely that I was lying about the parts. I was merely trying to get my point across to him and was getting frustrated because he was not listening to me and insinuating that I was telling an untruth. I told him that I was not a mechanic but I knew what I purchased and had repaired. I told him that I was not going to drive over and hour and a half for a lie. I told him that those were the parts they put on that was taken off and that I wanted a refund. At this point, Ryan ** took the parts from his desk and placed them outside his door onto the sidewalk and told me to get out of his office. I told him that I would leave his office, and he sat back down in his chair. I told him before leaving that he knew they put those parts on my car and that they were no good. He then got up and walked away. I told him that I was going to have an investigation in their place of business to look at their records as he was walking away and then went outside to retrieve the parts placed on the sidewalk. I went back inside the dealership to find Ryan **. He was standing at a window to the billing office. I let him know that I was going to send the parts to the CEO of GM. 4/26/2019, Mailed failed equipment taken off of cylinder #2 and #4 to CEO, Mary Barr of GM. 5/6/2019, Spoke to Matt with GM Executive Office. He confirmed receipt of packaging and letter. He took down all details.5/8/2019, Spoke to Matt again with GM Executive Office. He stated he spoke with the service manager at Leith and the service manager assured him that they only use GM approved parts. The service manager stated that I was shown the parts they use. He stated because I did not take the vehicle back to them it could not be verified by GM that that they actually did it. He stated due to the age and mileage of the vehicle a loaner would not have been made available to me to drive. He stated that because the vehicle had previous owners that the parts could have been put on by them. So from all of the facts Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC was not going to refund my money. I was told that if I had called the 800 number that maybe they could have worked something out. Matt also stated that they would have everything on file if it something more should come of this and that he would now consider the case closed.Matt with GM Executive Office, sided with Leith, their authorized dealership and basically said in not too many words that I was telling an untruth as well. Leith billed me for parts they claim they put on but never did. The parts that came off did not have the part numbers stated on the invoice. In closing, I am highly upset regarding the way I was treated and for the blatant disrespect shown by Ryan **. I feel if I had been a man of any race or a ** woman, he would have shown more respect, patience and listened to me. He would not have insinuated sublimely that I was lying. He would have immediately taken action to resolve the issue and apologized for the error. But because I am a ** woman, he felt he could disrespect me, talk to me any kind of way and sublimely call me a liar. As much as I like my Buick, I have decided to trade it for another make and model, namely their competition. I will not patronize a company that treats their consumers that way and call them liars sublimely.

I purchased my 2014 GMC Terrain 2 years ago as a used vehicle with 15,000 miles on it. I have been overall very satisfied with the looks and performance of this vehicle. A few months ago we started having a shudder happen at acceleration. We didnt know what it might be from and it was so intermittent that we didnt immediately have it checked out. As the weather warmed the shudder happened more often and eventually made it to where it was difficult to pull out from an intersection due to no acceleration. We took it to a dealer to have it checked out and were advised that there is problem with several model years of GM transmissions having the torque converter delaminate which causes debris to spread through the transmission and causes it to fail. This is the case with ours and with a $5400 price tag to replace the transmission. We complained that since this is 2019 and its a 2014 with 59,000 miles shouldnt it be covered under the 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. They advised it was out of the 5 years by 7 months from the in-service date. They did offer a 30% discount but we still felt this was way too much to pay for a transmission. We decided to take to a transmission shop for repair. The price ended up being the same as what the discounted price would be from the dealer. I contacted GM and was told that they wouldnt work with me on this since the repairs werent being done at a dealer. By the time that we discussed, it was too late to stop the repairs at the transmission shop. I was disgusted that GM wouldnt stand behind a vehicle with less than 60,000 miles with transmission failure and only 5 years old. This vehicle has not been abused or neglected in service. I am ready to say that we will no longer consider GM vehicles as possible options when we replace this or any of our other vehicles, even though we have been lifetime GM fans/owners.

Tedd Britt Chevrolet (Sterling, VA) and General Motors has given me the run around. They have shown gross negligence by refusing to replace my newly purchased 2020 Silverado 1500. I have been tossed around from manager to manager, from advisor to advisor. Nobody wants to be the one caught with the customer (me) in a potential lawsuit:I have put less than 15,000 miles on the vehicle, hardly owned six months. First owner. The vehicle has been in FIVE TIMES for various electrical issues including brake system failures (x3), and most recently the vehicle shut off while I was traveling +60mph. I fear for my safety. See attached invoice photos. Their staff sees you as a number - a price tag. Their “Customer Experience Manager” did not even look at me, he talked over me, and downright refused to help me - would not even give me the customer service phone number. He said it was not his problem. Incredible. Don’t waste your time, or your safety. Buy a Ford.

Took tahoe in for running badly. Told it needed a tune up. Ha. Platinum tip plugs on their Monroney sticker on windshield states platinum tip plugs good for 100k. They cleaned the throttle body. Replaced the platinum tip plugs with of course platinum tip plugs and after 300 dollars still runs rough. Mind u this tahoe has less than 80k miles. Then was told it had a broken motor mount on drivers side. Another 550 to replace. Called GM, no help at all. Give us a 100 back on the 300 dollars already spent for original problem that still isnt fixed. I have been in the car business for 20 plus years. Was a GM and manager for several dealerships. Pigs poor service from GM. Would never buy another GM product!! Terrible customer service!! Talked to Natalie originally and was told they would get involved if the local dealer didnt do anything. After I talked to her, asked for her boss and was told the same bs. Asked for her supervisor and was told couldnt give me that info. This is how gm takes care of their customers??

GM provides a full bumper to bumper warranty on their new cars as well as 2
GM provides a full bumper to bumper warranty on their new cars as well as 24-hour roadside assistance program if your car happens to break down. As a consumer you are entitled to a tow and transportation to your home, work, or dealer. As I read in my contract after buying a new car from GM. My new car unfortunately broke down in an extreme way at only 300 miles due to water pump failure and engine overheat. Naturally I cannot drive the car anymore and have to pull over to side of the road and call GM 24 roadside assistance. This breakdown is a bummer, but it happens. Overall the call goes well. I am told a tow truck is on its way as well as a cab to take me home. Sounds fine. Except none of this happens.I call again after over an hour. Apparently there is no record of the tow trucks being sent or the cab. They apologize and resubmit the requests for me. Okay, mistakes happen. Again I wait for a tow and cab, but they never come. I call a third time. Same issue. So my request is resubmitted. I wait again, nothing comes. Its getting near 10pm now. Real bummer for me. Eventually I get a tow truck though. No cab. Reason? Cab cant be located. Weird. I get a cab via my phone app shortly afterward. That was a fun 5 hours.Since my car wasnt picked up till after 10pm, dealers are closed and I could not be given a loaner car (which you are entitled to if your car breaks down under warranty) to take me to work the next day. This is fine though since I am told GM can provide transportation to either the dealer or my work the next morning. Next morning I call GM roadside assistance. They say they will get me a ride to work. They call back 30 minutes later, they cannot provide me a ride to work. I ask for a ride to the dealer. They say okay. They call back 45 minutes later and say they cannot get me a ride to the dealer. I call my local dealer rather than 24 roadside assistance - they come pick me up and provide me with a loaner. Guess I shouldnt rely on promised services from GM directly. Conclusion: GMs 24 roadside assistance has obligations that they failed to meet in my situation. I do not understand why. If something is promised, but not provided, there should be accountability. I have not the time or resources to hold GM accountable, but the fault does not vanish. If GM cannot execute on obligations then they should not be stated to the consumer when vehicle is being purchased. One main reason I purchased a new car was the security of a warranty and assistance from GM if poor car operation became an issue. The car issue happened unfortunately, but GM failed to rise to its promises.GMs problem: big on promises, poor on execution. It was cheaper to screw me then to make good on a promise of service. As one person, what can I reasonably do? How can I reasonably prove lack of service effort on GMs part? GM knows the average consumer has neither the time or awareness on how to stand up for themselves. Thanks GM, you swindled me good. Even after going through bankruptcy, which as I recall we citizens paid for, GM still stutters about on cost savings of value proposition. Thanks US government, you made us pay for it. Next time, let capitalism run its course.

2008 gmc denali radio control tire censor. What a stupid total waste of money. Cost me another 300.00 to get the stupid aluminum junk parts replaced. I never seen such a total stupid unnecessary device in my life. I had one tire worked on 3 times and they found nothing wrong but it still leaked. Most tire dealers drop the nut off the sensor and let it drop into the tire not wanting to tell you it cost another $80.00 a tire to fix the problem the junk sensor. I happen to get an honest dealer and explained the stupid engineering retarded situation. Thanks for the stupid extra expense. I grew up when a car had an ignition switch and an oil gauge and was happy. I own a tire gauge and can see a low tire that does not cost an extra $300.00 from my social security.I called gmc customer service 5 times and got nothing but the run around. I was disconnected and put on hold several times. Rep 1 was foreign, could not understand me. Rep 2 I was disconnected. Rep 3 wanted me to spell sensor three times, said he had never heard of that type of auto part. Rep 4 asked for my first name then put me on hold then rep 5 asked for my last name, then my address and I said 6867, only my house number then she asked me to spell it. So I said six eight six seven. Then she started to explain why I had to spell. I never got my whole address out she kept talking over me. The whole experience was like a comedy routine saturday night live. Smartest man movie.

I have an 2014 XTS Cadillac with 54000 miles. The transmission gave out with such low mileage. My warranty had expired 10 days prior to this happening. My mechanic bought a new transmission from GM dealership and was programmed by GM Representative. I called GM headquarters seeking for at least to help pay for the transmission not the labor since I realize it was installed by third party. I spoke with senior representatives, directors of customer service and even customer service to resolve issue when I complained to Better Business Services. They did not care that the car had only 54000 miles. They refused to even pay a portion of it. I will never buy a GM car! Nor will anyone in the my family. They showed such disservice to GM customer. What transmission gives out 54000 miles. Never again GM. I will only make displeasing comments about GM.

Transmission wont upshift from 2 to 3 or 4 - I purchased this LS3 engine and 4L70 transmission, along with all the accessories, computers and wire harnesses. The engine works great, but the transmission wont shift. I have called GM Performances hotline techs for help and got a case number. I never get a good answer from them on connections I am supposed to make and the pinouts they send dont match up to what they are telling me to do. The last tech I talked to told me to bring it to my GM dealer with my case number. I did this yesterday, 12-5-12, and they were looking at it today. I had to bring them my laptop to look at the program and they called the techs twice, still with no answers? What is the big secret with the so-called plug and play units? Why cant I get the right wiring harness or computer program when I buy this unit? Not clear instructions even for an old GM mechanic. Can I get help with this? Thank you.

I am writing to complain about Ed Morse Buick GMC Mazda Autoplaza 10133 US Highway 19 Port Richey, FL 34668 727-862-5411. My 81-year-old mother purchased her Buick from the dealership and returned for just motor oil and a cabin filter service at 34k miles and was sold more service than the automobile needed completed. The total bill should have come to $107.95 but she was sold and charged $657.06 for work that was not required. My mother trusted the service adviser and was misled the car needed service performed that would not be required until 150k miles based on GM standards. I feel Ed Morses service adviser took advantage of an elderly customer that relied on a trusted source for car service similar to relying on a financial adviser for advice. The company policy seems to be to recommend service to unaware elderly people concerned for their cars care and then not to offer customer coupons on their website for a savings. The 2012 Buick is new with only 34,387 miles and the service attendant sold automatic transmission fluid replacement, brake fluid replacement, induction service repair work and tire rotation on 3/31/2016 that when only an oil change was needed. The service attendant did not offer the customer coupons for free tire rotation with purchase of oil, $10 off cabin filter or the spend and save offer for the service performed for $75.Since I help manage my mother with her monthly bills and when I learned of a motor oil and filter charge of $657.06 I was beside myself and went to confront the Service Manager for taking advantage of an elderly lady just needing an oil and filter change. We discussed that the replacement of automatic transmission fluid, brake fluid and induction service was not required and my mom was misled into purchasing these services for a 34k mile car. The service manager affirmed she would be refunded with a check of $189.86 plus a free oil change. My expectation was to be credited $486.76 for work not required for misleading an elderly lady on service. At this time we have not received credit to resolve this issue and expect $486.76.

In May 2019 my son purchased a New 2019 1500 Silverado Trail Boss. He graduated college, got a great job and needed a pickup. He actually purchased the truck 1 month before he graduated because of Chevy Truck Month. Last month we noticed that light passed through the bed of the truck into the wheel well. Looking into the wheel well we saw a 3 split in the wheel well that went through the bed liner. We took it to the dealership and they suggested a patch to weld the steel of the truck and a patch for the factory bedliner because General Motors will not do anything else under warranty. A 6 month old Truck with 8,000 miles that he paid $48k has a defect and General Motors will patch it. Patch the wheel well, the bed and the bedliner?I called General Motors after a complaint/claim was filed and spoke to, a Senior Advisor of Customer assistance. She claimed even though they came to that resolution they have no idea how the body shop is going to fix it, they dont know how or even if they are going to fix the bed liner. I was told nobody at customer service knows anything about the construction of the vehicle because they do not have the technical training for that. I asked to give me to someone who did have that technical training to answer my questions regarding the bed material, the patch if its a weld, etc and I was told there is no one that could help me. I was also told there was no management above the Senior Advisor, my response was you dont have a boss to which she replied, yes I have a boss so I asked to speak with him/her and apparently her boss, the head of the customer assistance branch of General Motors does not talk to customers. The Senior Advisor said GM only will replace the bed if it has multiple defects. When I said It is going to look like it has been patched and then this was the last straw she actually said Well, like I told your son if it doesnt look good, he could replace the truck bed and pay for it on his own. THE TRUCK WAS $48,000, IT IS 6 MONTHS OLD, HAS 8,000 MILES AND GM SUGGESTS THE CUSTOMER SHOULD PAY FOR A REPLACEMENT OF A GENERAL MOTORS DEFECT?? At the end of the conversation GMs final resolution was a patch and that the work would be under warranty for 12 month and if it didnt look like new the customer could pay for the replacement. My questions are: 1. What about the bed and wheel well that have be exposed to rain since it was manufactured will there be corrosion? 2. What about the fact that he now has a less than Excellent Carfax report showing body work making the car less valuable to sell or trade in? 3. What about he has a patched bedliner and sheet steel weld patch on a New truck? Are they going to cover any problems stemming from this fix?4. Why would it ever be acceptable for your a Senior Advisor in customer service to suggest more than once that if the patch for a factory defect decreases value or negatively affects the aesthetics of the new vehicle then the customer could pay for it.I have owned 10 General Motors vehicles in my life some trucks, some cars, suv. I guarantee you I will NEVER buy another GM product, my kids and family will never buy a gm product, I am disgusted they will not stand behind their product or the quality of their product. We asked GM replace the bed not the vehicle and they wont even replace the FACTORY installed liner. General Motors is a disgrace to Made in the USA products.

It would seem that General Motors doesn’t understand customer satisfaction. Before today, if you would ever ask me what car to buy, I would always recommend a GM vehicle. It will be long time before I do that again. Through my local dealer I ordered a part 2 weeks ago, for which they took my money to order it, the part has shipped to one of the GM warehouses, who doesn’t seem to have any urgency to release to the dealer from which I purchased it.Even the dealer has no luck requesting the release of the part and GM customer service says I have to work through the dealer to get the part released because once it has shipped from GM, GM is no longer responsible for it, even though, according to my local dealer, this warehouse 75 is the GM centralized distribution center. I am now waiting on a supervisor from GM customer service to call me back. 24 to 48 hours although in the meantime I am stuck driving on a cracked GM rim that could go out at any time. Being a GM owner all my adult life, this has me frustrated and has developed a true regret in standing by GM all these years. General Motors, you have lost a long term supporter.

GM customer care and service department are awful. On May 20th, I purchased a 2016 Camaro 2SS with 2700 miles on it. By May 30th it was acting up and in the shop for warranty work. It is now June 16th, and the dealership still has my car. And that is GMs fault. After a week the dealership was stumped and began requesting assistance from GM. After two weeks of still being stumped, the dealership began requesting a field engineer, since they had not been able to diagnose the issue in over two weeks. GM will not give them an answer. Its a less than one year old car with 2700 miles on it and its been in the shop now for three weeks straight and counting, dont you think at this point its an issue worth expediting? Its not an old car. It has very low mileage and should not have any issues. Its an almost $50,000 car for goodness sake. But in GM fashion they wont move until my attorney contacts them about a lemon law suit, and a civil suit for car payments, registration, taxes, loss of use, and being overall terrible to work with. Oh well, I guess GM doesnt care about another lemon on their record and another lawsuit lost.

Bought brand New in 2011, my wife LOVES it. 2016, Exhaust Manifold & Catalytic Converter cracked. My wife brought it in. Dealer, Goldstein Buick GMC; Albany, NY; was going to charge $3000+ to replace. They Told her there was NO recall with this fix. A third party garage did the work for $1500. I called GMC and was told would NOT be reimbursed because work was done at third party garage. The Rep told me, Wait a Minute, the garage is not Warranted. THE TRUCK is Warranted! Plus, we just saved you Half the Price for the job! Goldstein Buick GMC was going to charge us over $3000! I looked up online and found 10 recalls with the Terrain. My wife found a letter claim form in her glove box. We filled it out and sent it in with the receipt. Still waiting for a refund. One week later; The Transmission & Transfer Case catastrophic, Mechanical Breakdown. Manufacture Defect. 55,000 miles!! GMC-JUNK. Fighting again.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I test drove two Chevy trucks and had a $50 test drive coupon. The salesmen took the coupon to the back and said they would handle sending it off and I could expect the gift card in the mail. We came to actually buy a truck and kept asking for prices. It was obvious that they didnt want to sell us a truck. We went two streets over and bought a brand new GMC truck from Conklin-Fangman for 48,000. I called GM to inquire about my card only to find out that it was NEVER submitted. Called GM and had a three way conversation with the salesmen at CD (Steve ** ) that waited on me. He lied to the GM customer service rep. I got the other salesmen, (Jamie ** ) (we were passed among two salesmen) and he confirmed that the guy was lying. He denied that he even knew me or that I knew him; kept saying that I had him confused with someone else. He hung up on the GM rep and myself. Jamie ** also hung up the phone on the GM rep and myself. The GM rep was of NO HELP. I asked her did she condone this type of behavior from a GM dealership? She was speechless and offered no resolution about obtaining my gift card. She told me to call them back and ask for the five digit code. I refused and told her that this dealership did not deserve to carry the GM name. I have never been treated this way before by anyone, much less two car salesmen. This dealership has a terrible reputation (see their ratings), and obviously, GM doesnt care that they are carrying the brand in such a negative manner. I called and spoke to Donna ** , the customer service rep., and she was nice, but kept telling me how sorry that she was regarding our experience. I asked repeatedly to make an appointment with the owner. She asked that she have a chance to resolve the issue before I complained to GM. She had the general sales manager call me. His name was Rob. I passed the phone to my husband because he talked to me so rudely. He accused us of missing appointments, which we had an appointment to bring in our truck for trade in and we canceled the appointment by phone, and said he was reading our files and seeing that we had no intention of buying a truck. He said that he wanted to get to the point because he had wasted enough time with us. I asked how much time exactly had he wasted b/c I had wasted hours on this matter. He said, well, as of now, it is going on 9.5 minutes.” I told him to forget it and that I would deal with him through another source. He highly encouraged me, in a very sarcastic tone, to write my heart out, on any social media that I desired. He also told me that I should ask GM for more than the $50 gift card. I had told him that if my time was money, then I would have more than $50; which is when he laughed out loud and said, “go for more”; I wouldnt settle for $50 when you could get more. This guy was one of the rudest people that I have ever dealt with my phone. I am a LOYAL GM customer; I have a GM credit card which I have used to purchase 8 GM cars over the last ten years. I walked off Jim Bishop Chevrolet in Muscle Shoals, AL with THREE BRAND NEW vehicles in one day. Since then, two of the three have been trade for other BRAND NEW VEHICLES. I am driving my THIRD Buick Lacrosse. I can assure you that I will NEVER purchase another GM card and will be returning my GM card back to GM and will choose another credit card. Cable Dahmer does not deserve to carry the GM name. I cannot imagine that there could be ONE CUSTOMER that could assure me that they were treated with dignity and respect at that dealership. I am basing this review on the relationship with not one, but two salesmen and two customer service representatives. I have written another email requesting a meeting with the owner, all of which I have been denied. My guess is that these people are hiding this from the owner because I cannot seem to meet with him. I am writing this in SHEER FRUSTRATION and ANGER that ANY dealership has this type of deceit and power over customers. Again, all of this was over a $50 gift card, but has exploded into something far more serious than that. We bought a GMC truck and we are happy with it; we walked into CF, a few streets over, and walked out with a brand new truck. They made the deal without even seeing the truck we were trading in; we didnt know if we were trading or if we would sell and then buy. The CD dealership kept calling and saying they couldnt even give us a price without seeing our truck.” WE kept telling them that we didnt know if we wanted to trade or not; just give us a price. WE NEVER received a price on a truck! NEVER! They are the ones that lost the $48,000 sale and they are the ones that, with my reviews, hopefully, will lose many more sales. I will post if and when the owner decides to meet. I have been denied and have every expectation that it isnt going to come about.

I own an 05 Avalanche as well as two Suburbans (99 and 09). I have had problems the last few years with the blower motor in my avalanche not working on all speeds, but since I was way past the normal warranty period, I decided to live with it until it stopped working completely. That happened about 6 months ago. I decided to go online for a video on how to fix the problem and lo and behold I find out that I should have been sent a letter from GM about the problem that extended the warranty. I never received these so I decided to call customer. By the way, I have Onstar service, and that would have been a great place to advise me of the problem and extended warranty. After explaining my situation with the first customer service rep, she said that there was an extended warranty for the problem and that I was outside of the coverage period. But, she continued, if you get go to a GM dealer and get it properly diagnosed we will still be able to help you out. I responded, you can still do something even though the warranty is out of date? She responded, yes, just call back after you have been to the dealership and have the paperwork. I told her, I can fix the problem myself if there is not going to be any coverage. She replied to get the truck diagnosed by GM and call back.So I went to the dealership and had it properly diagnosed as the problem, and had it fixed to a rate of almost $400. So then I called customer service back and got a different rep, who pulled up my file. She happened to be a tier 2 rep. She reviewed my file for a few minutes while putting me on hold, then came back and said, Im sorry but there is nothing we can do for you. I asked her to pull up the conversation that I had with the first rep, and she said that the first rep had given me improper information. I said thats great because that improper info cost me $400 instead of maybe $150 if I fix it myself. After battling back and forth with several managers over this they said as far as they are concerned that this was a she said-he said problem and they were not going to accept any fault. They said they could not find the original conversation transcripts. My family has been buying GM vehicles since 1974. Having spent 100s of thousands of dollars at their dealerships and they have no problem losing my business because one of their reps screwed up and they dont have the balls to put the customer first. Goodbye GM. You will never find me at one of your dealerships again. Youve lost one more loyal customer!!!

After 83,000 miles on my Hummer 3 the head went out. The head has the same issue I was told by the dealer that the recalled 5 cylinder canyon head was having when GM recalled it. The cost for repair was $2705. GM made me believe that they would help me out but after the bill was paid 3 days later I received a phone call informing me that they would not help in this matter. At the GM dealer they did say that a head should not go bad after 83,0000 and thought the main office would do something. Just goes to show you why I will never buy GM the rest of my life and will make sure as many people as I know will know of this issue.

I was preparing my vehicle for across country vacation. I went to check on my spare tire, jack and tire tool. To my horror, it didnt have any. In its place, an air compressor. A useless tool in a tire blow out. I called my local St. Louis Bomaritto Chevrolet dealer. I didnt have any problem with them other than they should have provided the equipment or at minimum warned me MY 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU DIDNT HAVE WHAT I NEEDED TO CHANGE A FLAT. THE VEHICLE I PAID $27,000.00 FOR. My problem is with GM. What a terrible decision. I contacted GM customer service to voice my displeasure. They wouldnt correct the bad policy. This was my first GM new purchase. What a bad experience... Over my 51 years, I purchased 7 new Fords. I guess Im returning to Ford or maybe a Foreign purchase next time.

Sum it up, I traded in my 08 Infiniti. Purchased a certified used 2015 Cadillac XTS 33,000 miles. Lets just say 2 years later, 62,320 I have spent OVER $9,200!!! Both headlights and ballast, taillight = $3675, then while on a family road trip, the rear compressor decided to give up with no warning! Dropping the back of the car basically to the ground while going 70 miles an hour! Then the same week had to replace the front struts and mounts?? Not even including all of the nuisance system updates all over 150 bucks!! Come to find out my neighbor had the same problems but traded his! These cars are beautiful but they cut corners in quality!! Hence why you dont see any CT6s on the road and why Cadillacs product is deteriorating every year! Wish I would have known before my nightmare!

GM has a major design flaw in the 2.4 ltr engine. They have issued a TSB 14882 to extend the warranty to 10 yr 120,000 miles on a few series of motors for the stated problems. They are refusing to cover the other series of 2.4 engines that are experiencing the same issues with the explanation that they have not seen this issue in the engines not listed. I currently own a 2015 Cadillac Escalade which I have owned since 2015. We recently discovered a water leak on the drivers side second row on the roof where the seams meet by the back door, the water has leaked down the inner panel affecting the seat belt causing it to lock out. The entire carpet from the second row to the third row was wet producing the smell of mold. After taking my vehicle to two different Cadillac dealers they found the leak we had already discovered. General Motors has denied the claim made by the dealership, they are not taking accountability for their faulty vehicle and supporting us the consumer who has trusted them to produce a high quality product worth the large investment we made. I am beyond disappointed in General Motors and the poor customer service we have received from them. This issue is 100% a manufacture defect, we did not cause this issue to occurs and now we are stuck with the cost of the repair and breathing in the mold which is a hazard to myself and 3 young kids health. I am appalled at the lack of support from General Motors. I bought a Cadillac expecting a high quality product and high quality customer service which is not at all what we have received. I am truly disappointed.

But heres my problem: sometimes my power steering light will come on across my dash and sometimes it dont and whats wrong is I lose complete steering and it jerks really bad, and I dont have no control over it. When I drive down the highway and it does it, Im lucky that Im able to pull over. When I called gmc and told them the problem they said that has nothing to do with my power steering recall, has to be something else. All I would like is answer or something. Im risking not only my life but my sons life driving this car the way it is. It also will shut off on me when the steering goes out and then dont wanna start back up. My headlights will fade and flash too.

Which I think in my professional opinion it should have been a hard plastic that repels and prevents water intrusion and moisture from getting in the engine area department etc. Also for the tow hitch you have to remove the plastic panel in order to install a tow hitch that completely exposes the structure of the bumper which it looks awful. It should be a trim nicely around the tow hitch. Also you dont get any TVs nor USB MP3 configuration, the navigation is not accurate.

So bought a 2011 Cruze 1.4 used. It had only 29000 miles so I thought what could possible go wrong with purchasing such a low mileage automobile. Well little did I know this first year production in the US would be a bad thing for this car. The engine eats water pumps to the tune of 3 since new, and then it also has used up 2 turbos as well. A case of poor design I guess on both, and yet customer service does very little but stroke you into thinking they care and issuing you a fancy customer service ticket. As if they will get these problems resolved for you ASAP. Yea, wishful thinking if you think GM will do this for you. I dont know which has turned me off of GM more, their poorly built automobiles or their terrible customer service. But lets not blame the local dealer here, who faces warranty rejection on claims not approved by GM. So they have little recourse too but to do what GM instructs them too. I definitely will never give GM any more of my business as long as I live. Consider yourself lucky if you get a reliable GM products.

I bought a new vehicle 2014 Chevy Camaro with a v6 3.7 engine and GM didnt think it was necessary to install a low oil sensor in their engines. Recently I changed my oil as I have always on time when prompted to. And replaced oil filter cap and the o-ring did not seal properly so needless to say without any warning lights or anything the engine pumped out 5 1/2 quarts of much needed 6 total of my oil. Didnt realize anything was wrong until the engine started making a loud noise. Of course GM says theyre not responsible for this mistake because I changed my own oil. But I ask GM why I can buy a $99 lawn mower with a low oil sensor in the engine to protect my investment but a $26,000 Camaro does not have a low oil sensor in the engine to protect my investment. I said even if I fix the car myself this can happen again.I have always been a Chevy man but this just makes no sense to me why they would not invest another $20-$30 to protect what the dealer said will cost me now at least $9500 for a new engine, which I totally disagree with because its only ticking and may not need a new engine but for now and the next 4-5 yrs. Ill be paying very high payments on a yellow lemon yard ornament... this should be a recall. Theres no excuse for this type of manufacturing, very disappointed in the brand Ive bragged about for many years. If this is their best they can build for consumers, they should stop building cars. At this point, I can promise I will always tell people about the warning of the disrespect for consumer investment that GM does not care one damn bit about you after you purchase their product. Thank you, Rick... a very disappointed consumer.

Its one thing after another with this truck.I called the dealership that I bought the truck from when the electrical panel just went out and they tried to sell me a Toyota! I call GM to complain and quickly get escalated to a senior adviser. She doesnt return any of my calls and finally says GM will pay $100 of my $500 bill. Keep in mind I have to replace the tires I bought in July 2014, not even a full year ago, once the front end is repaired. I email GM and receive a call from the executive offices. Just before my 36,000 mile warranty expired my aluminum rims on my company truck were corroding and heavy discoloration and instead of replacing them tho choose to have a 3rd source try to repair them. He got the corrosion off but left rough surfaces on the rims. When I brought it back less than 6 months later because they were corroding again, they gave me the run around. I went there 2 times and finally on the 3rd time the refinishing guy said he only did the edges and blamed it on everyone else. The service manager took me over to some replacement wheels and rims that he would change out on my truck, but of course that never worked even though he said it was cheaper than replacing my wheels. I can buy them on line for $185 each and that was too expensive. Next thing I knew the service manager closed out my complaint. So I went and started a new complaint. They called me days later and offered me $1000 they said, do you need running boards, bug shield, topper? I said, “Just replace my 4 wheels $740”, but would not do that or give me the money to buy them.

In the meantime my truck developed another issue due to the issue gm sent out the letter on... So I go back to dealer in December and still no part. So they fixed the other issue and wouldnt cover it under warranty... They wanted to keep my truck which I use for business and offered me a Chevy Cruze to drive to replace my 2500hd pickup. LOL.So now its late December and I live in southern Illinois on the mississippi river where the bad floods hit and had to evacuate and put even more miles on my truck while waiting for this part... So now I call to complain about why this part has taken so long and why I had to pay for the issue that was caused by the missing part... So while telling this to the customer service rep she told me not to complain because her mom had stage 4 cancer. I wish I was making this up!!! In the meantime Gm offers me $100 to go away. I took my 2015 Chevrolet Colorado to South town Chevrolet, Newnan, GA, on Sept 2, 2021, for a recall item. I informed them about a light on the instrument panel. The dealership repaired the recall item. They informed me that my oil pressure pump or my engine needed to be replaced. The dealership recommended replacing the engine D2 replacing the oil pressure pump might not fix the problem. The replacement cost for the oil pressure pump it was $4,500 and engine was $7,500. The dealership did take $500 off the engine replacement cost.I then inquire why would my oil pressure pump or engine need to be replaced. My truck is (6) years old with only 116,000 miles. I was given no clear explanation at the dealership. So, I file a complaint with General Motors, still no clear explanation of why I would need to replace my oil pressure pump or engine. The transmission should have been recalled. The wave plates break in it and it is junk. I have to replace ours and it costs a lot of money. For people on a fixed income this is very expensive. GM knew about this problem. The car was slipping out of gear while driving and my wife barely made it to her destination. So then the car was stuck 45 miles from my home and I had to get it towed back to where we lived. The mechanic said that this should have been a recall even. What makes me mad is that tax payers bailed out GM and then the company does stuff like this at our expense. The engine is good though because it is made by Honda.

I purchased my ‘16 Yukon in August of 2017 and by far this was the worst purchased I could’ve made. Since the day if purchase, I have to repair/replace the battery, motor mounts (~5 days after purchased), some plug for the transmission as the RPMs continuously revs up at highway speeds over 3000 rpms, several computer resets, the AC (2x), the weather strips around the door frame of the vehicle, fuel injection pump, and transmission. The truck often jerks forward while in low speeds almost causing me to rear end someone even while applying the brake. It seems as if I’m using an extensive amount of brake pressure as this truck is very unpredictable and unsafe. At times it has stuttered where it felt like I had no power while traffic causing vehicles to almost hit me. I’ve been told by the service department that they could not duplicate the issue. These concerns are very serious and definitely unsafe. It’s a shame that GM has taken the stance to ignore these issues.

I bought the car used with only 7000 miles on it in May of 2010. This car is a 2010 Chevrolet HHR. This car has been a NIGHTMARE to own. It has been the most expensive car to date that I have ever had to repair. Right out of the gate, the car had turn signal issues where it would not shut off. They repaired. Then it was the front wheel bearings which ironically they do not consider to be part of the Drive Train Warranty so I replaced both of these out of pocket. The car immediately afterwards required 2 new rear shocks at 40 thousand miles and then the front struts replaced again out of pocket at 45 thousand.Front discs needed replaced because they put in soft metal for the brake discs. Driving down the road, the car was fine, get to a red light and the car start sputtering and jumping and acting like it was going to die. Take it in and the dealership tells me that the codes state that they have to replace all the cam shaft sensors in the car since they have no way to diagnose which one is going bad and it was going to cost me 600 to do the work with 4 hours labor. Went online and lo and behold there is a video on just this issue and how to fix it. I bought the parts for $152.00 and 20 minutes under the hood closed it and started my car, Voila fixed. Why was it 600 dollars to fix with 4 hours labor when a peon like me can do it in 20 minutes. I can tell you why GM has to pay for the RECALLS somehow. I then one day went out to my car started it up and heard a loud bang and then the front end started jumping up and down. The cooling fan came on when I turned on the AC and broke a blade off. Again the dealership wanted almost 500.00 dollars to replace. Went to the trusted internet and there is the repair on video. Bought the cooling fan for 70 bucks and 1 hour of my time later, I had the old one out and new one in. The power window switches have gone out. The speakers on the radio come in and out whenever they want to work. Next thing that went out on, the car the Fuel Lines. Drove home and smelled gas, kept smelling it off and on for several weeks before it finally became evident that it was happening as it was running down my carport and eating the paint off the drive. I told the dealership and guess what? DING DING DING, 780 dollars to repair, not trusting myself with this repair. I contacted my mechanic that quoted me 360 dollars to fix and told me yep, just had another one of those cars in here for the same thing with the same car. He stated that Chevrolet is aware of this and has put out a bulletin on it. Really, you have these cars going down the road as a potential fireball and all you do is put out a bulletin. Just got the car back from GM last night with a repair bill of 1,707 dollars. The car on Saturday 12/12/15 started off with the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) light went off and the front end started groaning and vibrating, I got the car off the highway and shut it off, waited about 15 minutes and started it back up. No Light on so I decided I need to turn around and go home. The check engine light came on and the car lost power and at 60 going down the highway, was running at 5 thousand RPM.I finally limped into the driveway and do research and there are THOUSANDS of these complaints. I take it to GM Dealership with the codes that it was throwing. They call me later that day. The transmission solenoids had gone out and that the wiring harness inside the transmission had start a small leak inside it which most likely was the reason it shorted out the solenoids again. This took them dropping the transmission out of the car and replacing all this. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting the way GM is, they do not care about you or that car you bought. You are a sucker when you buy their product. Now we have not even touched the recalls. This car has gone through 3 ignition switches and a Power Steering motor and an Air Bag recall (not Takata related) they just exploded on their own.I have filed complaint after complaint after complaint to GM to only have them ignored for 2 years. What got them jumping was a complaint to The Better Business Bureau. I spoke to Mary at GM Disputes and took them 4 days to decide that they wanted to give me $1,500 dollar Gift Cert for a New GM Car she called it a Customer Loyalty Certificate. Told her that was very unacceptable that there was no Customer Loyalty when GM Shows no loyalty to their customers. I will see what I can do by contacting a lawyer. This car is the WORST thing to come from Detroit and that is to include the Studabaker because Im sure as ** would take a Studebaker over this car.

I bought a new 2020 3500 Duramax crew cab and got 1200 miles on it, fan came apart. It is now 6/4 and its been in the shop since 5/10 and still havent talked to a senior advisor. Made a lot of calls, and nothing. I am very disappointed in the way GM has handled this situation. It is not good when a person has to make thier first payment without being able to use the truck they bought. I have been a GM guy as long as Ive been driving and Ill tell you that if I was treated this way years ago I would be driving something else. I am tired of waiting for a human to contact me to try to get help on this so I will contact the dealer and see if the store manager has any options or if I need to go to the Dodge dealer a mile from them and see if they may have better customer service. My dealer told me that they have not had this fan issue yet but I have talked to other Chevy dealers and I am not the only one to go through this. I am only writing this review because GM has multiple records of me calling and requesting information and they just dont care. Good luck to anyone that have to deal with their senior advisors.

I have owned GM products since the early 80s, including 2 Buicks, 2 Corvettes, a Malibu, an Envoy and now a Terrain Denali. This included a full navigation system that listed at over $400. Just over a year after the purchase the navigation system stopped working, but since I did not use it, I did not bring it in to get to get fixed. I did bring it in just past the warranty period of 2 years and they were unable to service it that as the particular service tech that worked on these systems was not in. Finally got it in yesterday, 3 years after purchase and they want $728 to replace a interface control module. Yes its over the 2 year warranty period, so they are correct, but this is just too much. So much for customer loyalty. I have redeemed over $19,000 of the GM Card on new products and now I am cancelling and will never buy another GM product. Currently have over $3k credit on the card and cant use that to fix the navigation system either. This module also runs the ON-STAR system.

In the meantime, I have had no truck for moving me into my new home, Im worried that the vacation I planned with my truck will be with some crappy rental car, Im very frustrated with this situation.

I have had 4 GM cars and this is my last. My last car, new, off the lot, was a GM H3. It went through 2 heads within 100,000 miles - defective GM part, they take no accountability for. Cost me $2500 for the last head. Now I have a 2007 GM Yukon Xl under warranty, which now has a large rust spot on the roof. They will not fix it, stating it couldn’t be their fault. I live in the desert where nothing rusts. Unbelievable. Martin from customer service is a waste of time. This company gets bailed out by everyone and wants to help no one! Done!

Bought two GM trucks at same time. After about six weeks one had the airbags deploy for no reason. Only going about 30 mph at the time so fortunately no one was injured except the shock of the incident and the total destruction of the interior. GM had immediately wanted to blame the driver and wanted the insurance company name. THIS WAS NOT anything we did and is not an insurance claim. This is just a faulty product with a dangerous problem which they dont want to accept responsibility for. This IS a GM problem. We have a loaner but want another new truck. We do not want that truck back. We no longer trust the vehicle and since this incident have no trust in GM to stand behind their product. Until this problem is addressed and fixed I would not buy a GM truck. None should have to go through this. GM is fortunate that none was hurt. Apparently they just dont care about the customer. We got a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix in Aug. of 2009 from a dealer, not a GM dealer. It had 36,000 miles. We took a trip over to Ohio overnight, checked into the hotel, got dress to go check out their Casino. As we was driving on the hwy the car lost all power, had a warranty on it. Got in touch with the warranty company and they told us that we had to take it to a GM dealer for repairs, so we had it towed to one that night. We got up the next morning called the dealer to let them know what was going on. They called the warranty company to let them know the issue with the car. At that time the warranty company told the dealer it wasnt covered.I got in touch with the lease company to see if they could get the problem taken care. NOT. Come to find out the the Ignition Control Module and Coil Pick went out. We had to pay $706.00 for repair. Now since GM have recalls on the ignition switch I said let me find out about this issue we had, they are telling me that not all 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix are in the recalls. They also stated that if the car over 100,000 miles on it that they dont pay for any repairs and recalls so I told the lady at GM @866-790-5600 that I would be speaking with an attorney about taking them to small claims. She told me that the call has been ended because I said to her that I will be talking with one about this issue. Also we have issues with our brakes, airbags, power steering, and lights.

At the beginning of 2015 at 121,000 miles on my Traverse it was diagnosed with timing chain issues. A couple of weeks (end of Jan 2015) later I received a letter from Chevy extending the warranty on the timing chain (mind you the letter was dated for Nov 2014) to 120,000. However because I was 1,000 miles over the warranty there was nothing they would do for me. Repairs would start at $3,000. After calling GM on a few occasions still there is nothing they will do. Then there comes more warranty extensions for Throttle Position Sensor that is part of the Throttle Body again pass the allowable miles.I am at a loss how a company can have know about these issues for years then when knowing that most of these 2009 vehicles are probably past the mileage warranties they extend warranties to prevent a recall. As of right now my 2009 Chevy Traverse is now a $32,000 paperweight. The catastrophic break down of the timing chain has happened. Looking for some remedy for a mutual satisfaction my auto technician has told me that with all the issues that motor has (which GM has been aware of for sometime now) it is not worth putting that kind of money and work into it and suggests a used motor as the more reasonable remedy.

I was contacted by GM to extend the 3 yr warranty on my Chevy today. Forwarded to a man named Brad who eventually quoted me the price. I declined as I am a solo parent and unable to afford this additional coverage that would be $495/down plus 12x$274/month. Brad says he understands because he is a single dad. I reiterated that I am a solo parent--not the same as single, which generally means a child is shared by two parents. At this point, Brad explains his ex is in jail and says hes a single dad too - before anything else can be said, he gets nasty with me, adding, That was the rudest thing Ive ever heard in my life and I dont even want to help you... before hanging up on me. Brad, I still dont have that kind of extra money and am still a solo parent. Sorry to counter that what you just exhibited is a total lack of understanding and added aggression. No, thank you, GM.

I purchased a 2014 Chevy Equinox on 7/3/14, and traded in my 2012 Equinox for it. I loved my 2012 and wanted to upgrade from the 4 cyl. to the 6 cyl. Since the purchase date, I have had it in the shop 4 times for the same problem. 3 were with one dealership, the other one with another place to get another opinion. My complaint has been with the steering. It feels loose and non-responsive, and I also experience a terrible groaning noise and vibration at low speeds when making turns, backing out of my driveway, or trying to make normal parking lot maneuvers. On the first visit, they said a bulletin indicated a replacement of the alternator and a hose was necessary to quiet the groaning noise and vibration, so they had to order the parts and they sent me on the way. Within a few days the car was back in, to have those parts replaced. Needless to say that did not remedy the problem. After a short time passed, I took it back in complaining of the same problem. I have argued with the service departments, and begged them to just start changing parts to try and eliminate the issue. They have checked the steering pump, the hoses, the steering rack etc. and always say they cannot find a problem. It was suggested after the 2nd time in the shop, to contact GM customer service to get them involved. So I did. I explained the issue, was told someone would contact me in 24-48 hours, and needless to say, no one contacted me back at that point. For the 3rd visit, I took it to another dealership. Its amazing how everyone can hear the noise and feel the shutter in the steering but each time since the first visit, I get the same story about nothing being wrong. The dealerships say they cant just simply switch out parts that arent defective to try to remedy the steering looseness and the groaning noise. They can only do what GM allows them to do.Before making yet another call to GM and to ensure that I wasnt crazy, I decided to test drive another model just like mine. I did not encounter the same problems in the one I test drove, like I do with my own. And, for yet another opinion, I contacted a family member who also has the same model year as mine, and again she confirmed her vehicle does not have the same issues, but does indeed have its own set of issues with the A/C and safety warning systems.Since nothing came from my 3rd visit, and I could at least challenge that the issues with my vehicle are not normal cause it doesnt happen with others, I made another call to GM, this was 8/27/14. Again I was told my issue would escalated and someone would call me back. I also stopped in to the dealership again, and said I was bringing the vehicle back in, and the noise and shutter were getting worse. They scheduled my appointment for 9/3/14. On 8/28/14 I received a call back from Cecelia. I have never experienced someone so short spoken, heartless and condescending. I argued every point I could with her. Recalling the issues in detail, the conversations I have had with the dealerships, the fact that they say parts cant be replaced unless defective because GM wont let them, the fact that other vehicles like mine do not have the same issue etc. Cecelias response was simple and short You have an appointment with the dealership on 9/3 to diagnose your vehicle. There is nothing else we can do. She didnt care at all about the matter.I dont know how much more effectively I could have communicated that diagnosing the vehicle had been attempted and that I was asking for someone to take ownership in the repair needs and let the dealership start replacing parts. In the end, Cecelia said I am closing your case, and I said that they would hear from my attorney and the media, and she hung up.Today is 9/4/14, and needless to say, I once again got the call from the service dept. saying nothing is wrong, and that they are sorry they cant do anything to help me. On Monday, when the dealership owner returns, I will be working with him to get out of this vehicle and either back into my old Equinox, which they still have and I know I can trust, or finding an entirely different car. I am deeply saddened that I had to experience this trouble. I thought for sure one Equinox to the next, I would love the vehicle the same.I think GM needs to fire Cecelia. I saw another post from someone else complaining about her too. Perhaps she can only do so much, but for her to not even pretend to care about the safety of me and my family (or anyone elses) is inexcusable and makes GM looks even worse.

I talked to a GM ambassador about getting off-warranty work done this month
I talked to a GM ambassador about getting off-warranty work done this month. My 2005 GMC Canyon warranty was extended to 2013 or 160,000km because of valve problems. My vehicle had 108,946km on it when the check engine light came. A Tirecraft shop examined the truck and said I had burnt valves. I phoned the GM rep and was told to take it to a GM dealership to confirm that. The dealership charged me $368.98 to confirm what Tirecraft had diagnosed for only $221.66. The dealership said that they would only knock 5% off the $6000 repair bill. GM knows how much these repairs cost so the company rep should have been up front with me about what could be done before I took the truck in. I wasted my time as the repairs are more than my truck is worth. GM had no plans to help me even before I brought my truck in.

I own a 2012 Chevy Equinox (52000 miles) that I purchased from my Chevy dealership. The key fab holds the brass key in pot metal and it broke last year. That key was replaced under warranty. Saturday, the key I got to replace that key broke in the same manner. (25,000 miles later) Saturday, I brought the key in and was told I need to talk with the Service Manager. I explained the problem to the Service Manager and he offered me a new key at a discount. If I had something to do with the key breaking, I would be fine with the offer. Plus, there is no guarantee that the same issue will not happen to the new key. I do not want to be purchasing a new key every so often because of poor design. I was only 2,000 miles out of warranty and they would not replace a recurring issue.I wrote the president of the dealership and she said sorry but would not do anything. My steering wheel has also worn away and I had to put a cover on it. Poor quality. I own a VW TDI which I will be trading in sometime in November. Today was a true test of your customer service. I planned on purchasing a ton crew cab truck to replace the VW. After this experience I do not plan on considering your dealership at this point. I also plan on taking my business elsewhere for service.

I bought a 2013 Silverado used from Westside Chevy in Katy, TX... After having it several months, the coating on the center spokes of the steering wheel started coming off. The dash cracked on the passenger side of the airbag in 3 places. The white paint is peeling off the roof showing grey primer. Here is the reports from the Service Depts. I was told to have them look at it... The coating on the steering wheel is coming off due to oil in my hands. The dash cracked because of Armor All and my driving habits (I DONT USE ARMOR ALL AND I DONT GO OFF ROAD. HAHA. IM 70 YEARS OLD AND DONT DRIVE MUCH)... The paint coming off the roof was caused by an OUTSIDE SOURCE... they wouldnt say what outside source was. Bought 2019 Trax 2/8/19. Month later recall letter. Called GMC. told vehicle is unsafe but I could drive it, and they didnt know when parts would be in. I just had to wait till GMC figured it out! I told GMC I did not want a vehicle coming out of the gate with wheels issues. They first spoke of buy out, then I was told they are not going to accept the vehicle back! Since then I have gotten 2 invoices one stating VEHICLE NEEDS RE WELDING OF RIGHT AND LEFT ARM. Took vehicle Friday and was told it didnt need a fix. Questioned them about their finding, and their manager said he stood by his mechanics report. Took it back to dealer who said it was needed. They informed me that they had to take vehicle, and that the other dealer called it wrong. Incompetent mechanics/and putting UNSAFE VEHICLES on road, tire issues? Not acceptable. I will be speaking to an Attorney. I dont want this vehicle and I will take measures, No one forces me to take a used car, sold as new, but work already has to be done! This fix will only last till warranty is up, and then all cost to me! I dont trust anything coming from GMC. Mechanic put me back in the road with a false safety report! 2 different invoices!? Wow.

I bought a late model 2006 Chevrolet Duramax with the LBZ engine. A local Kwik Stop got flood water in their diesel. I didnt find that out until after my Chevy dealer replaced two injectors under warranty. They had a hard time finding them --some national hold. Now, three or maybe four injectors have failed. I emailed GM Customer Service. They responded quickly and called me but according to the lady who called this morning, GM is on backorder status with Bosch. Not only that, she indicated that Bosch may not even be making the injector! Some guys have been waiting all summer for theirs. So my $43k truck is sitting on the dealers lot collecting dust in the sun. A truck with the same engine from New York is sitting there also, waiting. The GM Customer Service lady told me no one else I could talk to would have any other information. I had called Bosch earlier and they also responded quickly, but the guy I talked to couldnt even cross reference the OEM part number for the injector. He said Bosch is the exclusive manufacturer for GM. Go figure.

Took my Silverado with 38000 miles with warranty ending less than 30 days prior to Ferman Chevrolet in Brandon Florida; air was not blowing cold and the AC compressor and smelled like it was burning. Took them two days to contact me back after several calls to them. Finally they tell me I had a leak in the hi pressure hose and it would cost $560.00. Then by the end of the next day I call them again “again no communication from them“ they tell me, -By the way- the compressor is bad too and it will now cost you $1580.00. So, at this point I tell them no way. Then I can’t believe my ears- the service guy tell me fine but you still owe us the $560.00 for the work you already approved. Wow (I won that battle). I googled GM issue with ac systems and omg it’s a known issue. There’s even a class action suit. So I call General Motors and the girl tries to contact Ferman Chevrolet and get no answer. A day later I call General Motors back and the girl tells me she has tried to call them seven times so she escalates the ticket to a senior advisor. It takes three days for the senior advisor to call me just to tell me “more or less” that there’s nothing they can do for me; it’s out of warranty. I finally had it fixed by an AC guy that was recommended to me by a friend. He found metal shavings throughout the entire system. For $1300 he has replace the entire system to make sure there was no parts that would have the metal shavings. I write this in hopes that something can be done for other customers with the same known issue.

I purchased a brand new 2021 trailblazer in September 2020. While driving home from work November 20, 2020 my breaks, power steering, and stabilitrack went out all at the same time. Mind you, I am driving on a very busy street in Indianapolis also coming up on a very busy intersection. Luckily the left turn lane had no vehicle in it, but there was a red light and I could not stop. I looked both ways and braced myself for a horrible accident. Thankfully, I was able to get my vehicle turned and into a parking lot without getting hit or hitting anyone. I had to have my vehicle towed to Hubler Chevrolet (who took very good care of me). I did not purchase my vehicle from them. When I got home and checked the mail, there was a recall letter from GM stating there has been a recall on my vehicle due to the breaking system and the parts being contaminated. Also, due to the vehicle being so new, there were no parts yet available to fix the issue. I opened a case through GM and it was a struggle from then. Over a month for them to let me know that it was not a manufactures issue, but they would fix my vehicle at no cost to me due to the recall. Fast forward two months. Mind you, I still do not have my vehicle, yet I’m still paying on it. I receive a call from Hubler that the parts came in, but they are not programming with my vehicle. Two weeks later I received another call that more parts came in and those were not programming with my vehicle. I then called GM to initiate a buy back. About two weeks later Hubler called and stated my vehicle is now fixed and I could come pick it up. I receive a call today from GM stating they refused my buy back because my vehicle is now working properly. I am livid to say the least!

I purchased a 2011 GMC Yukon with 82K miles from Carmax. I paid $29K for this vehicle. This had the 5.3L engine & 4WD which is needed here in MI. At 125K miles the transmission gave out - no prolonged degradation, just failure over 1-2 days. I purchased a remanufactured transmission costing $3K (including installation). The engine started running rough at idle with slightly reduced gas mileage. I changed the plugs, plug wires and coil to no avail. Analytics would show random misfire for cylinder 8. Compression check showed the cylinder was 60 psi low. Leak-down test showed the problem was either the camshaft or a lifter, meaning engine replacement. Ive taken good care of this vehicle with regular service and am extremely disappointed I couldnt get more mileage out of the engine. BTW, this is the 2nd GMC where both the engine and transmission had to be replaced at similar mileage (a 1985 GMC Jimmy). GMC is not the Professional Grade they claim to be, but the opposite. I will never purchase another GMC vehicle.

After many recalls which each one was fixed, the light for daytime running started going on and off. The GMC dealer told me that the frame for the light was melted and had to be replaced. Then he told me it would cost me $1,100 to fix which I told him that they knew the lights were too hot and I had the recall done so why am I to pay for this? I called GMC to get this fixed and each time I was told I would be called back. This never happened and the last time I called I was told that I agreed to pay $500 and that never happened because no one ever contacted me. All I want is to have my SUV fixed like they should.

We bought a 2017 Chevy Silverado new. We drove it off the lot and on our way home it started stuttering. We took it back several times to the dealership. We were told things such as: GM knew there was a problem but couldnt fix it, it needed to get used to the way we drive, it needs broke in. Two years down the road it continues to have problems and they are only getting bigger. GM will not stand behind the fact that there is something wrong with this truck and make it right. We drove our last Chevy truck for 12 years and now are hesitant to continue to drive GM products. They advertise as the working mans truck but wont stand behind it when there is a problem.

I purchased a 2020 Yukon Denali at the end of December 2019. I have purchased a new Yukon or Tahoe every year since 1996. My experiences in the past have been generally great since Im always driving a vehicle with very low mileage and always still under warranty. This 2020 model had only 7000 miles on it when several service lights started to appear on the instrument panel. These included ABS braking system, Stabilitrack, Forward collision system, Cruise control, and Trailer brake system. Any of these can be serious safety issues. I brought it in immediately to my dealer in Branson, Missouri, Pinegar GMC around the first week in July. They checked it out and said it was a faulty module of some sort that controls all those things and they should have the part in a few days. It has been 2 months and they not only still do not have the part but cannot say when it will ever show up. My question is why cant they get one off the assembly line since they are obviously building these cars every day and must need these modules to keep production going? Very poor communication and customer service.

Takata admitted there was a passenger side airbag defect a decade past. I owned a 2008 Silverado with that airbag installed. GM continually said my vehicle was not due for a replacement for years. Today I got a notice that my Silverado WAS involved in GM Recall N212328760... the same recall they told me for years did not involve my vehicle. I sold that vehicle three months ago and just got the notice from GM... today. From the language in todays letter it becomes obvious to me that they were just fine with allowing me to drive a dangerous vehicle after telling me it wasnt dangerous. There seems to hint that something illegal has happened here wherein GM knowingly put the owners of these vehicles in mortal danger.

I own a 2 year old Buick Envision. I heard a noise coming from under the vehicle at only 7k miles. The dealership and GM continually told me nothing was wrong. I did not give up. It took months but they finally determined there was a loose baffle in the exhaust. They finally replaced the exhaust. Dealing with them was extremely difficult. Very recently when leaving for vacation with bikes mounted on the back of the vehicle the car battery was dead. Nothing was left on and the vehicle is supposed to be protected from accessories remaining on and draining the battery. Again, GM is not standing behind the vehicle. The dealerships have prepared or canned answers for everything as to avoid making good on the warranty. As a professional buyer and car enthusiast I cannot recommend anyone buy a GM vehicle. You will not have the warranty you think you have and the vehicles experience more problems than other cars.

I have bought 2 Chevy Cobalts and I will never buy another one in my life. First one I bought was about 3 years ago. I was on my way back from GA and a semi hit me and I spun out on the highway and totaled my car. Well my airbags did not deploy. No big deal. No one was hurt. I called Chevy to let them know that the airbags did not deploy. I heard nothing back from them. I bought my 2nd Chevy Cobalt in May. I let my niece drive my car and she pulled out in front of a car going 50 mph. Car spun out hit another car. GUESS WHAT. The airbags did not deploy... Everyone that was in the car was treated at the hospital. Called Chevy and reported it. LOL. Guess what they said the airbags will only deploy if they are hit head on. WOW really. So because the car was hit on the side and the back of the car, the airbags did not deploy. Getting hit at 50 mph should have deployed the airbag. But my claim DENIED because they were not hit head on. Thank God that they were not hit head on because I probably would not have my niece, son, nephew or grandbaby. I will NEVER buy a Chevy nor will any of my friend and family. What a joke this company is.

I purchased a 2013 GMC Sierra new and always had the truck serviced at the selling dealer. Last Oct. my drivers side door handle came off in my hand. This has never happened to me with any vehicle I ever owned, and I have owned many. Colonial GMC in Charlottesville, Va. was my selling dealer so I went there and requested it be replaced under the extended warranty that I purchased good for 100,000 miles. Was told it wasnt covered under that warranty and had to pay to have it replaced. Bill was in excess of $300. Ok, paid and moved on.4 months later another door handle broke off on the rear door and was even being used much. Thinking this was an unusual I researched this problem and to my surprise realized these door handles have been breaking on Silverados and Sierras routinely, but to date GM has not had a recall or a TSP for this problem. Contacted GM and they told me I would receive a callback to resolve the issue. 3 days later I got a call from the dealer telling me I was out of luck, they would not do anything unless I paid the full price. Ok, I thought, I paid $63000 for a truck and they wont help with a door handle. I bought and $40 to install it. Bottom line is I will go back to buying a Ford or Dodge, had good service from them. Done with GM for a $17 door handle.

I purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. I have had to take it to the dealer numerous times to get the engine repaired as well as the transmission. I found the car to be unreliable and because of the frequent break downs, I have had to miss work and deal with the inconvenience of renting a vehicle. The last time I was there, they recommend that I speak to someone regarding the vehicle exchange program. They assured me that they would be able to help me get out of this vehicle and into something more reliable. I knew going in that I would probably have to extend the duration of my current loan. Unfortunately when I spoke to the sales manager, their way of helping me was to get me into a new Terrain with a brand new loan of 6 years and an interest rate of 3.6%. How is this helping me? The only reason why I was even considering the exchange was because the car that they sold me is not reliable - AKA lemon! I am sure that the dealership has better incentives than what they were trying to offer me. I do not believe GMC cares about their customers. I was willing to purchase the car with the same payment I have now, but I only wanted a 4 year loan. They were unwilling to help. Why would I want to purchase a car from GMC ever again after the kind of service I got? If I am going to start from scratch, I might as well go to another brand of car. The sales staff at GMC Cerritos were not understanding of my situation and were very condescending. Thank you.

Since it was Friday, he told me to take the car and hell submit my app to Vystar on Monday. Then, he cautions me that people with HIGH FICO scores get declined all the time! How ethical is that? Then he suggests that he complete my paperwork at a higher rate, JUST IN CASE. I stuck to my guns on the lowest rate and didnt take the bait. 5. The car was sent to be cleaned (last car) but it seemed more like it was rinsed because it was still dirty.6. Monday came, no call. Tuesday came, no call. Wednesday came, no call. Thursday came, no call. Friday came, and I finally called to get the run around and a man said he THINKS I was okay. NO ONE EVER CALLED to follow up. It literally took 2 1/2 weeks for a confirmation letter. 7. I Noticed $300 accessory fee added to my sales price. 8. Received denial letter from the dealership not a finance co, that said I was denied for multiple accts in delinquency. That is inaccurate info, as I have no delinquencies at all, and would not have a FICO score of 803 if there were such. (see attached w/ score), yet I was APPROVED by VYSTAR at their best rate for used cars8. A so-called Customer Exp Mgr ** emailed and said some words followed by A HAND WASH for my troubles. Wow! That was very gracious. Never Again! The hallmark of a disorganized company is that they never finish what they start. Thus, me having to call over and over to get my status and no one could give me a definitive answer. If you like being both confused and getting the runaround - OR - a free hand-wash, choose this place. I hate to break the suspense to you, but if I ran the joint, I would offer more than a hand-wash! PLEEZ, Mr. **, that added about a GALLON of HIGH OCTANE FUEL to the FIRE. I even went as far as to share w/Mr. ** that my dissatisfaction with the dealership was too far gone and I have told over 15 people. No one cares, yet they talk like they do. P.S. Credit score is 803. As a woman, I truly hate having to give a negative review on any company, but this company deserves it.

I could easily put my daughters wheelchair in the back but still be able to park it once we got where we were going. I purchased a 2006 Impala with 160,000 miles in 2011. Recently, I have been getting a Service Traction Control on my dash, as well as a Reduced Speed/Low Oil pressure message. When this happens, my car will not increase speed and it has little to no power at all. When this happened the first time, I drove directly to Bale Chevrolet here in Little Rock, Arkansas. I left my vehicle and warranty information with the service department. I received a call a day later telling me it isnt covered under warranty and isnt a recall issue. Mind you, I have read hundreds of post with Impala drivers saying the exact same thing; just something out of the blue happened on their car. The representative told me my car would cost over $400.00. I agreed to pay it. At that time, I felt good about Bale Chevrolet being able to fix the issue. Why not? I bought a 20003 Impala from them in 2004. I went and paid for it. Mind you that this was on 4/25/13; I am writing this on 5/16/13. So, I get in my car on lunch yesterday and my check engine light is on. Then later, when I had got off the Service Traction Control light error, the Low Oil pressure lights are right back on; and my car is doing the exact same thing it had done in April before it had been alleged to have been repaired. When this happened again this morning, my child was riding with me. I made a left turn and was almost side swiped because my car wouldnt accelerate at all. I called the Service Department at Bale and was told they will look at it and it may be a multiple issue problem. I had my car fully diagnosed back in April, so if it was a multiple issues thing, those multiple issues shouldve been addressed before allowing me to leave with a patched up car. He also told me I would be responsible for any new parts pertaining to the Service Traction/Low Oil Pressure issues. Also, I was told that I will have to wait until Monday before anybody can look at the car. Ive already paid for the repairs which werent done properly and now I have to wait 2 days before it can even be looked at. It is sad (me and my family are long time Chevy buyers) to be treated like this at a lot where Ive bought more than one car; to be told get in line and wait after my car when it wasnt fixed properly the first time. I am 100% sure that I, nor my immediate family, will ever purchase another Chevy car or truck as long as I live. This is from a company that my tax dollars helped to bail out. I still purchased from them to now be treated like a number. I almost had my car totaled out because of issues that should be a recall in the first place. Second, I paid to have it fixed. I know this email won’t be responded to, but I hope others will read and strongly consider not purchasing a GM vehicle at all. I will be trading my poor Impala for a Honda as soon as I have money to pay Bale Chevrolet a second time to fix what shouldve been fixed in April. Google Bale and you will see all the complaints about them having to fix the same problems two to three times, with the customer ending up paying more and more just to get something that shouldve been correctly diagnosed and fixed the first time.

I am writing this complaint as I am very disappointed the way my whole purchase and ownership experience. I feel that a profit motivation has ruled the decision making process and customer service non existent. Firstly at the purchase of our 2012 Chevrolet Cruz, one major significant item was not offered and when we became aware of this item we were told it was too late. Then on the first trip we hit a pothole and damaged two tires. No problem, we have warranty. But even the dealership gave us the vehicle with three tires with a maximum of 21 PSI 2 at 18. We paid for this as no one was responsible. We noticed on the side mirror at the outset what we perceived to be polish dust. Upon the initial washing we became aware that it was actually a defect. We drove to the dealership only to be told we will sort it out. However, after repeated complaints we were told it was never written down and you now are out of warranty. GM in their infinite wisdom agreed and refused to change them. Managers looking at the mirrors have said off the record that it is definitely a flaw, but I guess in this experience it will be up to us to solve it. Other items which were not on the warranty. Replace the brake disk and the pads at 30,000 KM (As a former Rally racer this is absurd). The air conditioning works poorly to say the least, even I had to pay to change to replace all the filters. There is a power surge from the gearbox at gear change - still unresolved but we are out of warranty.I worked at GM and this is something I never saw from a quality perspective. I am also a second generation GM owner as my father lived and breathed GM and owned GM cars for approximately fifty years. At this point Big Brother and its profits have lost a customer and I will never consider a GM product again. I can assure you I will expound my experiences to prospective buyers as well. I have never favored Lemon Laws but I now realise that they have a place and are needed to protect customers. Thank you for reading.

Just wondering if anyone else who had this recall done ran into a situation where the low beam headlights had to be replaced at the owners expense. This situation is ridiculous. Let me first state the I accept partial blame for not taking my car in as soon as I received a recall notice. When my low beam lights went out I took my car to JohnBear to have the HDM recall addressed. I picked up my car after the recall work was done and went in to work for night shift.Leaving work the next day I found I had no low beam headlights and now no dash lights. Took it back to JohnBear where I was informed that both my low beam headlights had burnt out at the exact same time(?) and that had nothing to do with the recall(?). Ive dealt with a service rep at Buick (Sheri) that I must apologize to for letting my frustration get the better of me. I was charged $373.40 for two installed low beam headlights(?). In my mind and 3 or 4 mechanics I have spoken with this is excessive and should have either been tied to the recall or the original work performed at the dealership. Yet no one is taking responsibility.

My car broke down on the highway, and after getting it to a Chevy dealership I was told that I need to completely replace my engine! I had been driving my car for a solid 30 minutes before my car broke down, with no warning lights, or indication that something was wrong. I receive the diagnostic reports every month and in the last report sent to me in January nothing indicated that something was wrong with my engine. The only reason I called GM to see what they could do was because I was not far out of my warranty, I had never had a single issue with my car or major work done, and till that point been very satisfied with GM. Since I was out of warranty by mileage GM refused to help cover the cost ($5,000 just for the engine and $2,400 service and labor), and that the best thing that could be offered was what the dealership offered which was $300 off, and a $250 mail and rebate! When I asked to speak to someone above a Senior advisor, they told me that no one is able to talk to a district manager, or regional manager since theyre traveling to dealerships all the time and dont have time to talk. So I just had to swallow the fact that I had to pay $7,400 out of pocket. I love my car, and when I got my car back I was so happy! BUT... I am fearful that as I continue to drive this car, or a GM product I am setting myself up for another massive expense. I will not be speaking highly of GM products and I will never be purchasing a GM product ever again. This is a large large large Corporation, and I did not go to customer service with a car that had 100,000+ miles or with a car that was 5+years old. I came to you with a 2-year-old car and with less than 65,000 miles on it and received no help, or even met half way! If anyone is looking for advice or on the fence about making a purchase of a GM car Do not go through with it.

Ive had a horrible experience with GM customer service. The commercials and information put out by GM/Chevrolet completely contradicts its customer service standard. When my car had an issue I tried emailing and received emails with incorrect grammar from representatives. They asked me to explain what I wanted, when I had detailed a request for a refund and information on the failure in the original email. I then moved on to calling. Their customer service is contracted out and they admit they cant take any action on certain issues. They only provide an address if you ask for a contact at GM. They fully expect you to just give up on the issue by the third phone call. Each tier/level up I went, the person was ruder. I never once raised my voice, but at one point I was trying not to get emotional because the two failures of the part put me in life threatening situations.I had a part installed on my vehicle by a Chevrolet dealership in 2014 after my car lost power on the interstate. In 2017 the part failed AGAIN. In both situations I was traveling at 65/70mph and the loss of power was immediate. Monica, Charlene, Octavia, and Greg were emotionless the entire call. The dealerships said I had to go through GM to get a refund, and it was a nightmare. I am educated in the legal field, the negligence on the part on GM/Chevrolet is appalling. I have documented everything and filed a complaint with the NHTSA. I hope to have some resolution, as I still believe the car is unsafe. I never once felt reassured by the customer service team.
