I have always dreamed of having Viking appliances. I moved into a new house and my wish came true, Viking refrigerator, Viking double ovens, Viking 6 burner gas stove and Viking warming drawer. This came with a hefty price tag but I was over the moon. A few issues with the appliance company, that was a little over 5 yrs ago. Then May 2014, out of warranty we were told by Viking and had to replace the motherboard in both ovens!!! To the tune of over $500. Viking had issues with this problem so extended warranty slightly on newer ovens, so they were aware of problems in past ovens. Fast forward 2 yrs and both ovens are down again. Big pop and smoke. Both ovens again. I have left messages with Viking. No response as of yet.

My friends have some Viking Ranges and Ive cooked in a restaurant that had one. I got one too but the service at the store was not a very good one. I love the range especially the griddle in the middle of the stove. The heat is very consistent too which is nice. I enjoy my Viking range and it makes me want to cook more.

Bought a brand new refrigerator and had delivered. Once plugged in the refrigerator would not cool. 3 weeks into the process and I still do not have a working refrigerator and customer support will not tell me anything, will not give me an ETA on parts or replacement. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

The Viking range was not what I was expecting. It had two problems with it in less than 30 days. In fact, when it was installed, it was not working properly. So, it was shipped out of the factory broken. There were three service visits already, and it’s still not fixed. They keep ordering the wrong part and their people don’t seem to know what they’re doing. They also gave me very limited time that they were willing to come. They told me they could only come on Tuesdays. So, I would have to pick a Tuesday to be there. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I was replacing an old unit which Ive had for 10 years with Viking refrigerator, the same unit. The old one had a problem with the door hinge so it was recalled. The new Viking is excellent. It was a newer model because there wasn’t an exact replacement with the older model. Everybody was very, very nice and everything was absolutely perfect.

My wife didnt want the ice maker on the exterior of the fridge, so we chose Viking. We knew what we wanted when we bought our fridge at Best Buy. The product that we got seems fine, but its kinda noisy and vibrates when it makes ice. The plastic wrap on the door was annoying, but otherwise the fridge is all right. Quality-wise, it has been holding up wonderfully in the two months since it was installed.

A friend of ours purchased a range from Viking, and I heard a testimony of the people who told us about them so I went with them. The sales rep was good, but I didnt love the delivery team. The subcontract company from the store was a little bit on the unprofessional side and basically didnt have a rate plan for installation. They just winged it, quoted me a price and we had to do the whole Tijuana dealing. Then, they ended up not doing some good finish work on installation of the hood. They did a partial job. However, they didnt damage anything.

I have a Viking kitchen. I've had a Viking refrigerator in my house for about 20 years. It lasted 18 years before I needed some work. And then, that lasted for another couple of years. I was good with it. It went bad, so I needed a new one. However, I'm rather disappointed that the warranty service happened. The issue was the fridge wouldn't hold temperature. It took about a month and a half. But the tech did a really good job. It has only been a month or two since the repair, but so far, so good. He added refrigerant. He couldn't find the leak. So if the leak is somewhere hidden, it would recur. I like the fridge when it works.

We bought a house and it already had a Viking range and some other Viking appliances. I had an opportunity to use the old range, and I liked it. It was a good range but it was like 20 years old and essentially needed to be replaced. So I went with Viking because I had an opportunity to use it and the price also played a role a bit when compared to Wolf, and then the features. I had issues with the oven not working. I bought the range through Best Buy and they had to bring two service people out to get it fixed. Ive been a little disappointed that I did have issues with the oven not working and a couple other things but, overall, its a good range.

We have all Viking appliances. We have the convection oven, microwave, dishwasher and range. All are great. We had been going to open houses and a lot of the model homes have Viking appliances. I got a Viking refrigerator for the high-end performance and the quality is very good. However, I had gone to an authorized Viking dealer and the people there were not so great. I would not recommend that store ever again. It was just a regular store in Pleasanton. They sold many different high-end brands but we had already chosen Viking so we went in and just said we wanted Viking. The sales guy was fine but once we got to the order phase, the manager of the store dropped the ball and didn’t place the order. They told me it would be two weeks and it ended up being about seven weeks before the appliances arrived. We were under a full kitchen remodel so all the old appliances were gone, and it was the holidays. I had to get involved with the corporate office before they did anything about it. Also, one of the burners on the range isn’t working very well now so I have to call for service on that. Its a six-burner stove and its only a month old. But I hear it’s pretty common with gas burners to do that. Other than that, I would buy a Viking again. I’m pretty satisfied right now.

I bought a Viking Induction Range and dishwasher in June 2010 and the left side burners do not work now, May 2012. On August 12, the new parts needed to be replaced again. This piece of junk is putting Viking products mildly. I threw out the $3,000.00 dishwasher after the fire (in the dishwasher) and bought Miele. I’m thinking of doing the same for this one.

Our builder put Viking range, dishwasher, and refrigerator in our home. The range is great but I already had to replace the motherboard on the refrigerator within six months. The seal around the freezer chipped because the availability of getting a motherboard took an extra number of weeks. The appliance company sent somebody out and said we needed a motherboard. They tried to communicate with Viking but they werent successful. So we ended up calling Viking and then we rescheduled the guy to come out to put it in. I wondered about that a little bit and I wasnt happy with that at all. I wish they were a little more customer service oriented. If Im gonna recommend Viking, then it will be something based on my experience with them and not how I like their range. My little experience with the refirgerator has clouded my perception and I would not choose Viking if I had to replace an appliance.

There was a Viking Range in the house that we just bought. It exhausted and we bought another Viking Range to replace it and its excellent. It did exactly what it advertises it does and you know its well. It looks good in our kitchen and it works. We have three young kids so for us whats important is the functionality and having no issues. As long as the burners go on and we could cook things and use the oven like we do every day, and as long as its high functioning thats great for us.However, Snyder Diamond did not do a good job of communicating with us. They quoted us a certain time frame where the range would be ready but it wasnt ready then. They had the company that they recommended install the range go pick it up at the factory wherever they were holding the stoves and it wasnt there yet. They miscommunicated so it took longer than it should have and it was Snyder Diamonds fault, not the people who installed it. I thought they quoted me in when it will be installed by and then that was pushed by a weekend into the next week. Also, it was hard to get them on the phone or going through that process. I had an email back and forth with the guy from Snyder Diamond cause I was like, Can you give me a call? and he just wouldnt respond. And then I had to literally track him down. We needed the range and Ive never been frustrated and I dont understand why I cant get a callback about this. We were then about to spend $8,000 or $10,000 on this range and I deserved a callback in a timely way.It was top of the time because my wife was pregnant. We needed a stove for heating milk and everyday things, like for breakfast, and every day that passed was getting tenser for us. Its unfortunate for me that theyre the closest distributor of all these parts or products thats in my house now because Im trapped when it comes to dealing with them. On the other hand, the installers were excellent and they had their stuff together. They called me and they got to the bottom of it. They were problem solvers and Snyder Diamond was not.

I bought my Viking Range at Best Buy and I love it. Pacific Sales, the company that sold me the floor model, was very helpful. We were in the middle of a remodel at our house so we were buying a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a microwave for the counter. We looked at the Viking ones and we were kind of disappointed with them. They didnt live up to the Viking quality. Also, the salespeople there told us that they are actually made for Viking by another company because people want the Viking line and matching appliances. Nevertheless, Ive always liked Viking gas ranges because theyre most well known for their commercial type features. Ive liked the cooktop most of all because I like cooking with gas. In sum, my experience with Viking Ranges has been fantastic.

We saw Viking at the Hahn Appliance store and my wife specifically liked the style and look of it. The one we bought was the 48-inch and it had the ice and water in the door, and we had a small fire inside the freezer door because the wires melted together. We stood toe-to-toe with Viking ‘cause they just wanted to replace the part. I said to them that the freezer caught on fire so they should replace the refrigerator and they did. They were easy to work with. We got a new one replaced about a month ago but it does not have the water and ice in the door. Other than that, we’re very pleased with it.

I went through a dealer in a showroom. They suggested Viking and presented it. Since on the day we had it installed, we kept on having issues. We had a cracked hinge which is steel right from the beginning. Right now it’s making a noise when opened. There was also a loose fan inside that was making a noise at the beginning. That would have to be repaired. There was another issue with the bottom drawer, the front door alignment, which is still not perfect. They said it cannot be corrected anymore. If I call directly to Viking, they seemed not very helpful directly. They basically try to avoid any replacement or anything like that because we had a big issue with the first refrigerator, which we had to throw out. That one was brand new that was damaged right at the beginning. This is our second brand-new refrigerator, again with issues. Very pricey too. I have another issue with my stove now, and it’s also Viking. Im not happy. Maybe we just had bad luck, but definitely not buying Viking again. On the other hand, we are very happy with the local service they contracted with. These guys are very responsive and very knowledgeable. They fixed everything pretty much quickly, and were really very courteous. That was a good experience with them. But overall so far, it’s a little bit of a disappointment. We never expected from the beginning to have the service over so many times since it’s brand new. I was actually about to call today again ‘cause there’s another issue. With this price point, buying brand-new appliances are a huge investment for many, many years for me. It’s definitely not worth the price.

We have known Viking for many years. The Viking Range was high-end quality and we wanted a commercial type of stove. We bought it from a dealer who was very nice and helpful to us. So far, the range is wonderful. The oven cooks very quickly and it’s different from any other ovens I’ve ever had. I like the convection in it. I also like the fact that we have the grate on top where we could grill. Although we bought that separately from the stove, you could grill things on it and make pancakes on the other side. The oven is sturdy and easy to clean. But Im not too happy about the shelves. They dont come out very easily and they stick out a bit. You cant get a round pizza pan in there. Also, the fascia came bent twice. It came right off the box that way. So the second time, we just had the installer push it back up. But all in all, our experience with Viking has been pretty satisfying. The oven works very well as far as cooking food.

Viking is highly ranked. At the time of my purchase, there was also a good deal for getting all Viking. Aside from the discount, they threw in a free dishwasher. I like Vikings ovens. But the quality of the professional stoves is better than the refrigerator. It was made in Mexico and not quite the same as their professional level refrigerators. But its pretty good. We had a Viking range and refrigerator in our old house and the range was fabulous and the fridge was terrible due to the interior water dispenser that constantly leaked water that pooled inside the fridge. When we moved to our new home, we needed to, once again, buy a new fridge and we (stupidly) purchased another Viking fridge because we were told the interior water dispenser was discontinued because it was a defective design. NOW, we have no water dispenser and we have an entirely new problem -- where the ice maker sprays water all over the inside of the freezer causing a film of ice to cover everything. Now, I have to defrost my freezer ever 3 weeks like my mom did in the 1970s by taking everything out and scraping chunks of ice out of of the freezer. When the ice maker DOES work, it makes one tray of ice about every 12 hours which is not helpful for a family of 5. We have had the freezer serviced 3x which has cost us a thousand dollars and each time the repairman tells me how many Viking fridges he is called for -- and how AWFUL Viking customer service is. They wont even return his calls. If I could give them a ZERO, I gladly would.

I bought my home 2 1/2 yrs ago with a really beautiful kitchen. All appliances are Viking and the agent kept telling me they are the best products on the market. We have the two drawer pull out dishwashers. From the time we bought the house they do not clean anything properly. I have had technicians out various times, some telling us that cascade powder doesnt work and we must use gel capsules. Even if we wash the dishes thoroughly before they dont come out clean. I need them to work as they match everything in my kitchen. My viking microwave also doesnt work properly so I just use it to reheat. This house was remodelled around 5 yrs ago and from the time we moved in it was terrible. Who needs to clean dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher to find them still marked when you take them out. My daughter has the same crockery set and has a cheap dishwasher and hers come out spotless. Please someone help me as I need everything to match in my kitchen. Viking service are a waste of time and money. Thanks.

We remodeled our kitchen and have replaced all of our appliances with new Viking models to include: a 6-burner, 2-oven range; a 36 built in freezer, a 36 built in refrigerator, 2 dishwashers, a microwave and a double electric oven with French doors on top. I have had problems with not one, but ALL of my appliances within the first two years of owning each of them. The problems that were covered under warranty eventually got fixed, but the service provided in Rancho Santa Fe by the southern California servicer recommend on the Viking website (Executive Appliance), has been slow and unreliable. I was without a freezer for two weeks and only got it fixed because I repeatedly called them to chase the electrical board part and their technician (after losing several hundred dollars worth of food). The refrigerators hinge had a metal part that literally broke apart and fell on the floor. Again another, several week wait to get this fixed. Both dishwashers stopped working within the first two years and have been repaired and are working, but one has control buttons that constantly stick and the paint labeling the buttons is rubbing off. The electric oven does not heat evenly and the food at the back gets cooked faster, so you have to rotate your cakes and cookies or use the convection feature to minimize burning at the back. The small oven in my gas range does not work consistently, so I just use the electric ones now. So, if you intend to use your appliances regularly, I would advise avoiding Viking. Like other reviewers, its just a fancy name badge on your appliance, whats beneath is not well constructed or reliable. I am so DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER again purchase a Viking product. I cannot imagine how they will stay in business with such unreliable products. I am just furious about the time and effort Ive had to spend getting things fixed that are not even old. I guess I should have kept the very old appliances - - at least they worked.

I liked Vikings name and reputation. The quality of the range that I got is excellent. I really like the six burners on the top and the control that I have when Im cooking. However, cleaning the range is like an event. I dont like doing it very often because its so much work. I have to take all the six burners off individually and have to clean them. Then, I have to take those little things underneath the burners that catch everything. You have to take all six of those off and clean them, then dry them after which you wipe down the stove. You then take everything out from the crumb catcher underneath.Ive had other ranges where the grates are one piece, you pick them, lean it up against your backsplash, wipe it down, put it down, and youre done. With this range, my husband and I always yell about whos gonna clean it. So, consequently, we just let it go. We would clean it maybe once a week cause I cant do that every single time I cook. I just wipe it down and wait until Sunday to clean it.

I got our Viking range at Big Georges Appliance Center in Ann Arbor. It was the only dealer in the area where we could get the Viking and theyre very professional. Theyre not just trying to sell us whatever is there. They were very good about asking me what my needs were and what I was looking for. And they gave me lots of options. I bake and cook so I went with the dual range. Im in heaven. I have never boiled water faster. Cooking takes half the time it did before. And in the 33 years that Ive made pies with my mom, this is the only oven Ive ever made a pie where in the crust did not have to be covered by foil or an aluminum ring. There are also seven different baking modes and Ive used all of them except for one. I love the versatility and the ease of use for the gas top as well. I like having the knobs on the front too cause I hated having to reach over what I was cooking and deal with the knobs at the top or the back. I also like that its very sleek and elegant looking. There are metal knobs and theres no stupid electronic display. Its impressive, it has a well thought out design and easy to clean, too. I just built a $150,000,000 house last year which I dont live in but I had remodeled my kitchen in 2000 and the Viking Range hood went in and I just knew I wanted to put the Viking stove under it. There was no reason to, everything was working and I quite frankly, forgot all about it and bought another house. I have a second home now but then the stove stopped working. Since I already have the range hood, which I love, I bought the stove to go with it. This is a very high-end appliance city so if someone has this problem I go, What a difficult position to be put in. The top of this range is great and heats up. It looks fabulous and fits beautifully with the range hood and in the space that it was designed to go in. However, the installation of the electrical for the oven is a nightmare. Theres a problem figuring out where to put the electrical box cause it doesnt fit under the stove. So, I have to cut up a cabinet or a wall. Im dissatisfied that they sold a product that cannot be installed unless its a new build. Im a real estate agent. And if Im selling a house and see a Viking range in the kitchen, Im immediately going to start thinking if its installed correctly. They should phase it out.

I love my stove. I had to get used to it because of the temperature variation from my old stove to this Viking stove. But I love the style of the stove and the self-cleaning elements of it. I love that it’s lifted from the floor that you can sweep underneath. I also love that it heats up quickly. I love, love, love that it’s stainless steel and you can wipe it down polished easily. Im very satisfied with my stove. I have two issues with my stove. One issue is that my kickplate was dented a little bit when they delivered the stove. So I went back to the store and they said that the company was going to call me because they thought they had the kickplates in storage. But then nobody has contacted me yet. The dent is not noticeable. But when I spend that kind of money for an appliance, I want to make sure that theres no dents anywhere. I got the stove delivered in December and it’s April. I know there was a backlog on them, so I was giving them the opportunity to catch up in the backlog and the whole bit, but this has a been a bit long. The other issue is that the knob on the right gets stuck sometimes and it doesnt turn on or off. You cant do anything with it. If I give it a hard turn, then it will go up or down. You dont want anybody that doesnt know the stove doing that. So this developed within the last two weeks and I have to call them in for that.

Our Viking range came with my new kitchen. It is a beautiful piece of architecture, and I love its high quality. I like the dual nature of it. Its an electric range gas top. I love how it looks and feels. We had a service call on it, though. Periodically and almost in a random way, the settings for the oven were not matching what it was doing. So we’d put it on bake at 425 and it would bake at 200 or something. And every once in while, it would switch into the cleaning mode and lock itself up and get really hot even though it was set on bake or whatever. It was totally weird. It locked us out once, and it didn’t cook while we had food in it.

In the kitchen, we have very high-end fixtures so we wanted something that was comparable to the other pieces that we had chosen. Viking has a really good reputation for being high quality and the pieces are pleasing to look at. Weve been using it for a month and everything has been great. The stove works well. The only issue that we had that was disappointing was that the color is different because the dishwasher and the range are placed next to each other. Its very drastic, the difference in color. When I called to let them know about the color difference, the people that I spoke to were very kind. They sent someone out and that rep was very nice. He took pictures. It was a really nice experience. We, very quickly, got a phone call saying they were going to change it, which was a relief. I was worried that they were not going to exchange it and we were gonna be stuck with that drastic color difference. So, I was very happy that they decided to change.

Dana is the cook in the family and he’s done lots of research on the Viking company. We also visited many stores and tried many models. This is his second stove. He originally had the 36-inch that was black with brass trim all over it and that’s what he really wanted to get this time. The oven enameling of the first range flaked off, so they had to replace it for us. The dealer was great and customer service has been very good.He really likes that there’s a smaller oven where we don’t have to heat up a great big oven to cook. He uses the griddle a lot and likes the speed that they cook at because of the high heat. He also likes the grill, the dual fuel and the six burners. It’s an impressive piece of machine and the quality of the stove itself is superior. The one thing I know that we both miss is that Viking has taken the clock off of the face of the stove. There’s no time at all, which we relied on for our time in our kitchen. But Danas very pleased with the stove. It has many features that I know he likes to use and we’re very impressed. It’s a Cadillac sitting in our kitchen.

Gas Range model VGCC5366BSS installed Oct. 2013. Oven continually failed due to fried control module. The module was replaced over a dozen times, and during one period where we were waiting for parts, the company installed a temporary 30 range of the same model, and it failed within 2 months for the same reason. The repairman set up surge protectors, ran a new electrical circuit, had the utility monitor for electrical surges, and had us use a door wedge to hold the oven door tightly closed (the last theory was that heat was escaping from the oven and burning the circuit board). I just found out today (not from Viking!), that there is a huge recall on Viking and Brigade freestanding gas ranges (US & Canada), including my model. Go to Consumer Product Safety Commission (US), or Healthycanadians.gc.ca.

We liked what we had heard about Viking then we have a friend that put in a Viking and we liked the setup of it. We got the built-in refrigerator and its not as deep as a regular refrigerator, which we like because things dont get lost in the back of it, but its taller. We like the door, the freezer section in the bottom, and the way that the drawers are self-closing. We can arrange them to where we have a place at the bottom that we can put platters into or a pizza box or whatever we want to. We also like the fact that everything was made out of metal. Aside from the refrigerator, we also got the French door double oven, the six burner cooktop with the griddle and thee optional griddle, the vent hood, two warming drawers, and a microwave, from Viking. We love the quality of our Viking appliances and we would recommend them highly.

I do like my range so far. It heats my food which the oven is supposed to do. It feels sturdy, reliable and doesnt have a lot of bells, buttons and whistles. It looks as though it will do what its supposed to do for the next 20 years. My expectation is that because it is expensive, Im going to have it for a long time. It is easy to clean. Im not a big cook, but my understanding from people who do is that its important to have the temperature consistent inside of the oven. Thats one of the things that Viking is known for - even heating. So if ever I take up baking, Ill find that to be true.

We owned a Viking before in a prior home. We felt it was certainly well-built, had quality, and was reliable so we wanted to do that again. I like the ProChill Temperature Management that they put in their refrigerators. It seems to maintain the cooling and temperature so appropriately that the food stays good for a long time. So we’re happy with the way it works. Also, their team went efficiently and the installation was adequate. However, we didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t get the refrigerator fully clad in stainless steel. We had to go out and get panels. And since they’ve been installed, those panels vibrate and make noise and we don’t know how to fix that. But we’d still recommend it, theyre above average.

And since I was very happy with my range, I got a Viking refrigerator. I like the lighting in both the refrigerator and the freezer, and its doing an excellent job of keeping the food cold. Like many of the reviews here, our Viking French Door fridge was a lemon and so is the new one that showed up after 6 months of service calls and spoiled food. I have now heard from a service person and the appliance delivery men that I am not alone in my issues, which are detailed by many other reviews here. I have wasted 16+ hours of my life talking to Viking and waiting for service calls. Not to mention the $100s of lost due to spoiled food from the freezing in the back of the fridge. The fact that ice spills out onto the floor every time I open the freezer is a design flaw I could have lived with, but this is unacceptable. Built my entire kitchen around this fridge and now I need to figure out how to replace it. Do yourself a favor - the reviews are true - dont buy this fridge. Viking knows its refrigerator is defective, but keep selling it.

I like the French doors and the freezer on the bottom of my refrigerator. But my ice maker went out already so I’m a little skeptical about its quality. I have their stove-top as well and the metal piece has discolored on one of them. The only thing that I have not liked about it is they’re not very deep, especially the shelves, because I was used to a deeper refrigerator. But it’s great as far as the performance. I had some Viking products before and I love their products. I got a refrigerator and its very organized, compressed and is a nice statement in the kitchen. It also seems to be energy efficient because it doesn’t run in a cycle. It runs on and off a lot versus the thing compressing the air. It also maintains the temperature very easily and its quiet. The guys who brought the ref in were extremely careful and good at moving the big and heavy product. But I was offended by my experience with their dealers. They sent out a refrigerator which was boxed and I saw the delivery guys open it in front of my house and it was damaged in the box. They brought it in and they said the damage could be easily fixed by replacing one piece. I told them it was fine, I needed the refrigerator for the holiday. But as I installed the refrigerator, I noticed one packaging slip on the side of it so I removed it and inside the slip was the receipt that a new box had been ordered for this refrigerator. The refrigerator was sold to another family in a nearby suburb and returned by that family because it was damaged. But the dealer sold it to me as a new product.I immediately called the supplier and it was like the girl had been waiting for my call. They knew exactly what was going on and they ordered me another one. The other one came and they said, “Just use this one in the meantime.” I wasn’t really out a refrigerator for a long period of time, but it was just the idea of them trying to slip this damaged one past me. I would be hesitant in purchasing a high-priced item from this company again even though Im happy with the product itself.

Viking refrigerators had the designs we were interested in so I bought from them. But the quality is very substandard. They had to replace the first refrigerator because it was defective. It took eight service calls with countless calls back and forth over a period of seven months to finally replace it. Then, they shipped a new one and before they installed it, the installer scraped off the insulation on the outside of the door. It was a custom ready refrigerator so we installed our own custom panel on the outside of the refrigerator. So now, we’re getting water drippage between the refrigerator door and the inside surface of the custom panel onto our hardwood floors. And the food is freezing inside the refrigerator.I’ve been going back and forth with Viking for a couple of weeks about this and I found out that they changed the engineering on the door. They’re saying that they can have new doors installed but they can’t be held accountable if my custom panels won’t fit the door. They’re not giving me any help. I called Juanita, the supervisor in the customer service department and she doesn’t answer our calls and doesn’t return calls readily. It’s ridiculous. My whole kitchen was breaking. I have this very expensive 42-inch side by side refrigerator, the dishwasher and the warming drawer. All the appliances are Viking. And then I don’t get straight answers from them at all. It wasn’t a good experience. I would not recommend it.

I like everything about the particular Viking refrigerator that I bought. Its very quiet and the quality is very good. The lighting inside is amazing and the outside and drawers are nice. However, their setup was totally not what it shouldve been. They came in, put in the refrigerator and that was it. When they set it up, they put the handles on and they left. But the handles need to come back off to get the plastic out, which they never did, so it was there. It took me about two weeks to peel off the plastic thats so tight on that refrigerator. It was like pulling off glue off the refrigerator. They came back once and the guy was late, and I had to go to work. And then I never recalled them to come back. My husband peeled off the rest. Also, when you pull out the drawer on the bottom, the other drawer comes out with it, and you have to push it back. Other than that, Im really happy with the refrigerator. Its really nice and I love it.

We did a lot of research online so that’s how we figured out Viking is a good brand name. I like it. We bought a whole set of Viking. We have the fridge, dishwasher, hood, stove, and microwave. I like that the refrigerator makes ice pretty fast because I like to drink something cold. It also has a separate compartment for different sizes like for fruits and vegetables. I also like that I can take everything off to wash it. It’s very easy to clean. But then when we called because the fridges icemaker was not making ice, I haven’t heard back anything yet. I got it from one of the distribution partners so the date might not be within the warranty. In the end, we read out on my manual and tried to defrost everything and now it works. That means the quality is good, but in the end, they could never resolve anything for us. We just figured out and did everything ourselves.

48 Side-by-Side Refrigerator AND VICU165 - 36 wide cooktop - To say Ive been disappointed in Viking products is an understatement. When we began building our house we wanted a great kitchen. We chose Viking professional products. We purchased them about a year or so before we actually installed and moved into our home. Within the first 3 months our water dispenser in the door of the fridge/freezer froze over and completely quit working. We had a repairman come out... it worked for about 3 more months and we have not had water in the door since because we couldnt get anyone out to repair. Within 8 months the drawers in my fridge began cracking... nope, sorry, you have to pay astronomical prices to have those replaced. Within the first 2 years one of the shelves in the door came crashing down when we opened the door. Again, nope, sorry, thats your problem attitude from customer service. Now, our cooktop is horrible. We have the 36 all induction with 6 burners. We NEVER had all 6 working at one time. We call a Viking, get a repairman out... it works for about 2 weeks. Then we are back to 5. Slowly but surely others started going out. We call, we email, we call some more and finally get someone out there. He needs parts. Hes going to order then come back. No, we never hear from him again. We start calling, emailing, calling again. They send another guy out... he needs some parts. Meanwhile, all of this is taking literally years between the calling and emailing. The burners never get fixed. The last time they sent out a repairman, he again did not return. We called again and were greeted with a sorry, your warranty has expired, it will cost you an insane amount to repair. Right now, we are down to 1 burner that sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. I will NEVER purchase Viking again nor will I EVER recommend their products. Pitiful customer service.

But theres a manufacturing defect and the piece hadnt been put together correctly and it was already cracking. And the tech person came and he said, You paid money for this. You should get a new drawer. So I called the parts people and after waiting on hold for an hour, I finally got someone who said they would be sending something over. It was supposed to be here two weeks ago and it hasnt arrived yet. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was wonderful. And I was going to have to leave for the next day so I just had to wait. The tech said that the first Viking range we got looked like it was dropped
The tech said that the first Viking range we got looked like it was dropped. Thats the only thing that would explain the problems with the oven cavity being kind of out of kilter. The rep I spoke to about it got kind of snappy with me and said that the tech was not telling me the truth. Also, the range wasnt level. The island vent was up higher on one side than the other and it stood out like a sore thumb. They tried to level it and the only way they could do it was in such a way that the tile backsplash behind it, with the grout lines running across horizontally. And one of the igniters was bent in to touch the burner and the tech said that because of that, it would not ignite. They replaced the range. They brought the new range in but it has the same problem as far as the back in the island grill not being level with the tiles behind it in the backsplash. The tech came out and he said the guys that installed it screwed up. He was able to level it and it looks fine. But the oven door is also off exactly the same as the first range was. We had a tech here last week for the fourth time. He tried everything, as far as tweaking the door hinges to see if he loosened the hinge screws and tried to move that oven door over to see if that would indeed get some clearance. He was able to improve it a little bit, but its still clearly wrong when you look at it from the top. Also, theres a kickplate that goes along the bottom of the range and when it was delivered, it was like it was knocked off of the little hooks that hold it in place. And it was scratched. He looked at the scratch and said they would replace that. He properly reattached it so it looked true and ordered a replacement part. But the replacement part was cut wrong and wouldnt fit. I still have the scratched kickplate. One more thing is the grates on top. There are three grates, one for each set of two burners, front to back. The one on the right was lower and was kind of dipped to the right side. The tech replaced the little stoppers that it sits on to see if that would make it work but it was still lower on the right side. He had to put washers in the brand-new range to make the grates level. This is their flagship 36-inch range. Its a $14,000 appliance. But the quality could not have been worse. We’re baffled. If I could do this all over again, I would not get a Viking product.

I’m sorry to say that this $7000+ refrigerator is the biggest piece of crap I ever owned as an appliance. I spent $1000 for custom panels too when I bought it in 2009 for my kitchen remodel. It broke so many times that it made me cry. I took care of the recalls with the door, had a new seal, had to change all the electronics on top, freezer always breaks and leaks, changed the fan too. I’ve seen Vikings advertisements in home building magazines and I went with them because of the expected quality. The stove and the microwave-convection oven were delivered dead on arrival, and it’s now six weeks so Viking’s trying to figure out if they’re gonna replace them or not. They’ve had three technicians out and I have not heard back in two weeks despite repeated follow-up attempts. The interactions are fine, but all the parts unfortunately are on backorder and are parts that they don’t stock. And there’s no definitive timeline for when the parts will be in stock. Every time I call the call center, they say I’m supposed to expect a call from a director or BT level that can make that decision. And they keep passing along the message, but I do not get a call back. We bought the freezer and refrigerator from Viking 12 years ago. The freezer is still doing great but the refrigerator went out. It would freeze up, and one of the default wires were loose. We hooked it up and then it had another problem. When I called in with problems, they were good about helping to get somebody to look at it. I had two different Viking certified people come out to work on it and they took it quickly apart, defrost it totally and then put it back together and say my drip pan wasnt lined up properly. Both times someone came it cost me $800 each and the second time I decided to just replace it because itll be cheaper in the long run. When I got the new one, the door seal on it would not seal. We travel a lot and we come back home and see that there would be rust inside our brand-new refrigerator. It took three times to get somebody to figure out the problem and fix it and had it slamming shut. Were loving it now. It’s great. The new lighting is so bright and pretty and I really like it. He was very positive, upbeat and promotional for Viking and all other varieties that they’re carrying. That was a wonderful experience. But upon receiving my brand-new kitchen suite, the refrigerator had to be repaired instead of completely replaced. The doors were out of alignment and will not be fixed and upon the receiving my ice maker, it didn’t work and had to be completely replaced. I have had issues with my refrigerator going out already. I had to wait over a two-week service while all of my food was spoiled. Also, I currently have a problem with my microwave where the screen has gone out. I have already waited a week and a half and have yet to see the first person come and see what the problem is. I’ve made phone calls and chased all of these people around and I get very poor service for a $25,000 kitchen suite, professional series. We bought our house about 5 years ago and it came with Viking appliances which we were excited about. The fridge worked great for a few years but about 2 years ago it started leaking water all over the floor. Huge pools of water would collect in the bottom of the freezer and freeze over, which prohibited us from closing the freezer door all the way. We had an authorized repairman come twice and they told us it was probably a clogged drain line. We got really tired of stepping into huge piles of water on our floor every few weeks and starting to damage our hardwood floors. After the 2nd repairman visit told us it probably wasnt going to get better we finally just got a new Kenmore fridge last week. Now we have an old Viking fridge sitting in our hall and Im wondering if we try to sell it on Craigslist at a deep discount as its a bit of a lemon. We also havent loved our dishwasher as even though we clean the drain at the bottom, it still starts to smell between washings. The oven and range work great, though!

I also love all the different ranges that you can put your oven on with the convection, which can be the low, the medium, or the high. It gives you so many options. All the burners come off so nicely and I havent had problems cleaning it. People should get Viking if they were thinking about it.

I like to cook and I liked the look and feel of an industrial kitchen. Ive seen Viking ranges in other apartments. I read that they are quality stoves and ranges so I purchased one. Ive only had mine for a month and I like certain things about it. The stovetop is great. The heat and the flames are instantaneous and the igniters are quick. The temperature levels are really high. In that regard, its been good to cook on. But the oven is a big down point since its not working. Its a big part of the unit. Theres somethings wrong with the igniter. Its clicking a lot and its not getting to temperature. I spoke with somebody yesterday and the interaction was fine. I felt like I achieved what I was trying to do. But I havent heard back from anybody about making the appointment so somebody can come and look at the oven. They hire out locally. The range is under warranty but I didnt expect that a month in, I would have any work on it. I feel like I got a machine that isnt functioning. You could buy a way less expensive stove and probably have a more reliable oven. Overall, I have a beautiful looking range that performs well on the top but in regard to the oven not working, its not good for cooking.

I went to the store and looked at all the different refrigerator models. I was doing a kitchen remodel and I was going for a certain kind of look. I was looking at the GE Café and the KitchenAid that had the kinda industrial handles. I didn’t find Viking Refrigerators until my second or third trip. The thing that basically made me go to the Viking was that it had the handles that match my GE Café double oven. It looks very similar. Also, I was going back and forth between the French door and the side by side. But when I finally decided on the French door, and that was a whole process, the thing that drove me away from the GE and the KitchenAid was the inside design. I liked Vikings inside design the best. Some of the situations on the others were, when the door was open, you couldn’t open the vegetable drawer all the way unless you really, really open the door wide. Sometimes, the French door even blocks the drawers from opening. Another issue was that a lot of times, the shelves had an enter too at the back so things would fall down the back. I didn’t like the fact that it’s like if I put something on the shelf and if it’s small enough, it’s gonna end up falling down at the back of the refrigerator and I really didn’t want that hassle. But the bottom line is I like the look. The quality in terms of not having maintenance issues was good.

In the past month and a half that Ive had the Viking range, the quality has been nice. It came with our brand-new house so the builders were the ones that put it in and I love the stove. I had a little bit of trouble registering the product over the internet. But then I sent them an email and they responded quickly. I also spoke with them over the phone and the representative was nice. She gave me the information but I needed to log in an email and send the details, and that was actually done for me. I’d recommend Viking. When I went into the website I saw so many other products they have too.

We really like the look of it more than anything. We like the stovetop ranges and the double oven. Its nice when its working. But the two burners arent working. We called within our warranty time but we havent heard back from them yet. Also, I wasnt real sure how to clean the griddle and we kind of had a hard time with that. I wish I would have had a little bit more instruction on how to connect griddle from where we bought it at Best Buy. But weve been pleased with it overall.

Unit kept freezing up. After 4+ service calls and after talking with a technician that knew his stuff, he told me unit has a design flaw. Does not have a good defrosting system, it totally relies on turning itself off for a period of time, where most good systems have the warm refrigerant gas reverse through the system to defrost.

The door to a newly purchased oven never closed. Viking Customer Service was unresponsive, told lies and did nothing to solve the problem through the warranty period after a year of constant complaining. After the year, they wanted to charge more money to come to my house to look at the problem! On the Viking Facebook site, many people have this complaint and Viking refuses to address the customer complaints, as well as knobs that burn you if you touch them while baking!

I went from electric to gas with the Viking range. Aside from wanting gas, I liked the looks of it and the knobs. Theyre big and theyre easy to use. I like the sliding rack too but they should have two of them in there and not just one. Also, when we got the range home, the convection oven did not work. I didnt know it for a while because I didnt use it. But Viking was really prompt about getting it taken care of and getting a man out here to fix it. Ive had it for a couple of months now and everything has been great so far. We also bought the microwave and the convection on it didnt work. Because Viking dropped the ball on that one, they just ordered us a new one and sent it out instead of having the microwave repaired. Theyve taken care of us really good.

Viking has been around for a while. We knew about the quality when we chose it. The rep was very knowledgeable and had a lot of experience, but it probably came down to when we knew about the really good price on which we got it. The quality of the range is okay although its not as well-thought-through as we might have thought it would be. The inability to effectively clean it is the most disappointing part of it. The technician who came out and serviced it knew what he was doing. He once said this is a known issue, and it just came with the range. I love my grill though, and I’m satisfied with my Viking range.

Installed a Viking kitchen including dishwasher 4 years and 11 months ago. Dishwasher failed just short of 5 years. Viking service came out & advised that electrical components, wiring harness and rubber seal failed. I paid $180 for service call and Viking refused to help in any way to repair the dishwasher. Service advised me that replacement was the only practical option as multiple repairs necessary would be cost prohibitive. We are very disappointed in Viking quality (except for range). Purchase Viking products at your own risk is my advice. Many better options are available in the price range they market their products in.

When selecting our refrigerator, we went on Vikings reputation. Also, my husbands in interior design and that was also part of the reason why we chose Viking as opposed to a GE product, which we have at another house. However, we are a little disappointed with Viking. We’ve had the refrigerator for less than a year and all this stuff started happening right around a month’s time. We were having problems with the ice maker and when I called Viking repair service, they put in a service call. Somebody came out but didn’t really do anything other than change the ice maker. He said that it should be working within 24 hours but it still is not. They came for a second service call after that. The contractors follow-up was not up to what I think Viking would expect from their name though. Ive had to follow up twice with the service repair people to find out what was going on with my refrigerator. They have been telling me that they needed to order another ice maker and a different part but based on the recent weather in the Southeast, it was being delayed. There are also other things that I have to have the repair person look at. We have a bottom refrigerator and the door clicks every time we hold the door open. Other than that, I had received a part that is supposed to be on one of the doors so that you can have butter or whatever else you want to use in a climate-controlled environment. But it doesn’t fit in there and nobody that I’ve called at Viking has been able to give me an answer on how to have it fit. But other than that, we like the refrigerator, me probably more so than my husband.

Ice maker has failed on 36 french-door bottom-freezer refrigerator, which is insane as the fridge is less than 4 years old. This is the second time we have had issues with the ice maker; the first time was a blocked water line that cost us hundreds to have a tech fix. Had a technician come in and look at it today (05/24/17), and he estimated $850 to replace failed ice maker unit ($240 labor, $555 materials). More than frustrated. Emailed Viking customer service via their website. Hope I get a timely response...

The refrigerator was packaged well. The wall preparation information for this cabinet depth model was not accurate in that one of the two bolts used for anti-tipping did not reach the block on the wall. Dimensions given were not correct for the block (2x4) installation. The refrigerator holds temperature very precisely and the interior LED lighting is terrific. Shelves adjust nicely and so do the drawer units. All shelves and cubbies in the door adjust nicely. The one objection we have is that the refrigerator is quite noisy as refrigerators go. Even the owners manual mentions the whirring and other sounds that the unit makes. For a product that costs this much, one would think that it could be quieter. We will just have to get used to it!!

Viking had the best package for me when I looked at all the other options. The team at the dealership was great. I like my range but I already have had to have somebody come out to do a repair on it. Another tech would come out on Friday next week to do a repair on one of the ranges knobs. Needing those repairs have been unfortunate, but other than that, everything has been fine. They were covered under the warranty and it was very simple to get a hold of somebody to set everything up.

The house we purchased had a Viking Range and it was un-repairable according to our insurance so they said, “Replace it,” and we decided we want to keep the same. The one we had before was a four-burner and we replaced it with a five-burner. But my wife wants me to call on it for service now because the guy who installed it said to do a deep cleaning right away. So we did for like two and a half hours and after that every time we turn the oven on the fan has a weird noise it didn’t have before. Before everything was nice and quiet. We could hear the fan coming on exhausting the oven. And then after we did the deep clean -- the high temperature clean, now it sounds like the fan is hitting something. When we installed it the place I bought it at said that they would be putting in something like anti-tip or something to the oven so if someone stands on the door the oven wont tip over. But they did not put that in. We also ran across some problem when we were trying to fix the original stove. The cleaning function would not work on it and the burners wouldn’t fire up every time. We had to use an igniter. But I had maybe four different people out here to look at it and said, “No, we don’t do this Viking.” They wont do it. That had scared my mother a little because we were remodeling her apartment and she was thinking of getting Viking but were not too sure now because its difficult to find service for them. Not everybody deals with Viking.

Aside from that, I'm a big person that grew up where you didn't rely on other countries for anything and with Viking, everything is made here in the USA. I bought a new home and the Viking refrigerator and the freezer were purchased by my builder through a supplier. I like the space because its a full-size refrigerator and I have great lights on the side of the inside of it and along the top, so its easy to see things. The fridge looks nice but Ive had some issues with it. It was making a terrible noise and then it went away. I didnt get around calling the repair people. Also, I was working and while I was away on vacation and my daughters were home this summer, the refrigerator lost cooling. So, the repair people came and they had to replace the circuit board which was odd. Prior to that, we had some drips in the back of it and then it went away and now its back so I have to call someone again. Its an expensive refrigerator and Im disappointed in its performance when it has, supposedly, had a good name and many years behind it. It has failed a couple of times and its only a year old.

Our fridge was on its way out. Plus, we had a space issue and we wanted to find a fridge that would fit in it without having to cut our cabinets. The size was the biggest factor. We tried Viking Refrigerators just to try something different. It was also because we’ve heard good things about the brand and with the way it looked. We bought it online through some appliance website and they were okay. However, the installers were poor and didn’t put the ice machine in right, so it didn’t work. But that has nothing to do with Viking. The refrigerator has a freezer at the bottom which I like as it gives me more room at the top. It’s easier to organize my food because there’s a lot of refrigeration space. I like that both doors open. I also like how its working out. It’s easier just for me. It has a lot of flexibility. The ref is not built-in, but it looks built-in. It fits perfectly with the way we have our cabinets. So far, the refrigerator is of good quality. It is a nice product. It keeps even temperature. Its pricey but I like the way it looks and everyone in my family likes it.

We purchased the top of the line (so we thought) Viking double wall ovens for our re-model. They arrived with broken glass in the 2 doors. The oven was installed, without the doors, into the custom built cabinet based on the specs from the manufacturer. It didnt fit properly, no matter how hard we pushed on the approx. 400-lb. appliance. There was nothing in the way of it being pushed fully into the cabinet, and finally we realized that the oven itself was twisted a bit so that while the right top corner and bottom corners fit, the top left corner sits out about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. It looks hideous but we live with it because the company wouldnt respond to our concerns. We assume the unit was dropped somewhere before it reached us. Replacement doors finally came, one had broken glass again. New one came and it was installed. Then when I began using the top oven it burned the bottom and left the top undercooked. I thought it was me at first, since I may not have been used to this particular oven. Not me. Its the oven. If I use it, then I lower the temp. 50 degrees and hope for the best. I contacted the company from which we purchased it as well as Viking, but nothing was addressed to remedy the problems and, funny thing, our warranty expired. Then there is the issue of the self-cleaning function which I used maybe 4 or 5 times. I dont use it any more. I am worried, because of the extreme heat coming from the ovens and what I can feel on the wood around it, that it will catch fire. We heard that the self-cleaning is a problem with Viking. Anyway, we limp it along because we spent thousands on it and to replace it is an expense we cant assume right now, but I tell everyone how much I hate our Viking ovens and that they should never buy one. At a home show convention several years ago, the Viking reps were out trying to drum up interest. I told them of my experience and they took my name, etc. with the promise that theyd help me... Right, never happened. Lousy product, lousy customer service.
