I ordered from Viking Ranges online and they held the appliances for us for six months since we were remodeling. It was delivered from Texas to Minnesota and it took five business days. My other commercial ovens have an all seamless steel top but this one has shiny black, which is harder to keep clean than the others. Still, we’re very happy with the quality of Viking Ranges.

We have absolutely loved the Viking range. Its not on the top of somebodys list to buy an appliance for $7,000 but we are very happy with it and hope we never have to buy another one.

Love my stove. About a year old. A bit annoying that out of the 6 burners only two (left) do a quick water boil. More sad about the illustrations and temps mapped on panel. All coming off with cleaning.

My friend had a Viking range and I liked it. I like the look and feel of them, the professional grade and quality. Those have been questionable, however. The stovetop works fine but the oven never worked right and it took me a long time to finally get a service tech out. He came last week and ordered the parts, so I’m waiting for them. I bought the oven stove brand new online for $5,000, yet it hasn’t been working for a month and a half now. I heard and I saw consumer feedback bashing the maintenance support but despite that, I bought it because it was something I wanted. I figured it is high quality and it won’t need that much work, but it has turned into that already, so theres a little buyer’s remorse. I buy something high-end like that and I expect good service, and I havent seen that so its disappointing. I’ve since gone to Wolf and I checked it out, and their product support is over the top. If I had to do it all over again, I’d probably go with Wolf.

We bought the top-line Viking refrigerator as well as Viking oven and microwave through Best Buy, and Best Buy has been horrible. The communication around the third party that Best Buy uses for installation has all been really poor, and getting my appliances installed was the worst thing ever. First, the built-in $9,000-refrigerator was installed incorrectly. The installers failed to put a kickplate on the bottom of this refrigerator and they probably threw it away. So we had to have someone come out and that took a while. We’re easygoing people and we’re not that tough to deal with. However, I bought that refrigerator in early June and to this day, I dont have the kickplate yet, so that has been frustrating.Best Buy has a customer service troubleshooter that was assigned to us. That person was really nice but has been lousy on follow-up so we called and left messages. When I finally got a hold of Best Buy’s case manager, he said that Best Buy was told that the manufacturer did not have the kickplate in stock. So I told them that I was gonna call Viking, which I should have done early on. When I called, I spoke with their customer service person who was great and a really nice lady too. I asked her about the kickplate that is missing and she said they had them in stock, which was what I anticipated the whole time. We havent heard anything back yet, but a company is supposed to call us. Still, Viking is a premium brand and they have been responsive to us and the experience with them has been great.

Ive known about Viking forever and as a matter of fact, the brother of one of my friends in Iowa used to be a distributor for Viking. I had a GE Profile that broke down after about five years and I was not about to put any money into it, so I thought Id invest in a Viking. Ive dealt with the dealer, Abt, before for other things and I got my Viking refrigerator from them. The guys who installed it were absolutely wonderful and they tried not to scratch floors. They did a good job and it was first class as far as installation. While the water for the GE was hooked up with plastic, the Viking has a nice metal flexible pipe. Howeve, the bottom drawer broke apart when I pulled it out. A gentleman came out, looked at it, and said that theyll send me a new one. They sent another drawer out and so that was no problem. Another thing also is that every time I looked at the temperature on the GE, it was the same temperature on my little thermometer. On the Viking, the temperature jumps around so it does things differently. Still, it runs quite a bit more than my GE ran.

I like to cook and I wanted a gas range. Initially, I looked at the Wolf one which was a very nice range but the Viking range was less expensive. Plus, my best friend Jody has a Viking range and she likes hers so that was good. It fit in my space as well so it was economical and it was still an upper-end range. Its been installed for about two months but Ive only used it three times now for various reasons. It takes a very long time to heat up to temperature so that I can start cooking. And the other day, I was cooking and I was wondering whether it runs or goes off when it is at temperature. I still cant figure it out and I have to get used to it so its not confusing. However, the installation was dicey from the beginning and that was frustrating to me. I was under the impression he was a Viking installer who knew how to install Viking products, but he wasn’t and it was a nightmare. I also got the convection microwave hood and the installer separated the bottom of the microwave to shove the deflector between the bottom plate and the microwave. The deflector and screw were falling off of my microwave. It was leveled left to right but it wasnt leveled front to back and it was tilting so far forward that things were rolling out of the microwave. I asked him if he can put something behind it to support the whole thing. He got sassy and said that it’s an older house and that happens.I called Viking about it and talked to five different people. The first gentleman was so kind and said he was sorry. The first young lady I got after him was also really great. Then I got to talk to the next rep when it came to having to arrange having to arrange to have somebody to come out, I was told that I could pay somebody to come out and look at it because they dont do installations. They also said that they don’t train people to do the installations and that the instructions are online. So I should look online to see how to install my Viking range and microwave myself and tell the installers how to install it? I dont think so. Theyre not even typical stick it in and plug it in products. It didnt make sense to me that they’re all behind quality and made in America but they don’t train people to install their products. And when they’re not installed properly, its not covered by warranty. If they dont train their people to install their products then they dont have to be responsible for the warranty. Its bad business. Also, when I asked them to give me a name of anybody who can install the appliances, they told me that they can’t recommend anybody. The only thing that Viking would cover was if something was wrong with the products under warranty. So Viking has repair people but they can’t recommend anybody to do the installations. Its a stupid system.I went around and around with these people and I was very upset and distressed. In fact, I told them that Im an unhappy customer with nearly $18,000 worth of appliances sitting here that I cant use because Viking doesnt care that they’re in working order so I can enjoy them. Then, they said they could send somebody out and but it’s $100 an hour and since I dont live near any place where they keep anybody, I have to pay a trip charge. But it already cost me $430 to get the products installed and they weren’t installed properly. I was also told to call Best Buy instead because that’s where I bought the appliances and theyre the ones who are going to care if the products are installed since its their reputation. I never received a letter from Viking and I would have also appreciated if somebody would call me instead of me leaving voicemails for people to call me back. So I have this beautiful convection microwave and this Viking range that I have to wait four weeks for somebody to come out and look at them. Im not impressed with Viking’s service and I’m extremely dissatisfied with my experience. I’m also very unhappy with the way I was treated and the attitude of their reps. Then, now that the range is under a year, Viking came and took a look at it, only to find out that the knobs are not even on the right place on the stove. Thats why it still was not working. I’m done with Viking and I would not recommend them to anybody.

I purchased all Viking products for my home. The exterior look is excellent but looks are deceiving! Almost every interior component of my refrigerator (VCSB483D) has had issues. Cracked butter covers, drawers that crack and fall off the track, track that wont support drawers, cracked freezer interior lining, ice maker issues, drain issues. The problem is Viking does not really seem to want to help you when its under warranty (loopholes like cracked components are cosmetic) why should that matter! Ive owned many non luxury brands that not only held up better, the manufacturers stood behind their products.

I had an existing Viking refrigerator in our home and it went out. I replaced it with a Viking too but it’s not as near the quality of my original one. The exterior is not even metal. It cant even hold a magnet so its a stainless steel look but its not. The original was sturdier and the inside shelves were more metal. This one seems to be plastic. The freezer part is a lot of plastic. It doesnt have the durability of my old one. Its a cheaper made Viking although I like the sleek look of it.

I like that Viking products are made in the USA, and so I had their products in a previous home too. We also decided to buy an entire Viking kitchen for our guesthouse. That includes a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, wine cooler, and microwave drawer. However, we had a problem with the dishwasher and Viking took almost nine months on it. They ended up having to replace it because the technician messed the other one up.Our refrigerator has also been leaking at the bottom for the last five months. The thing is its in the guesthouse and it’s hardly used. The parts that have issues are all under warranty of about six to eight years. Ive been dealing with a gentleman from Viking who has been trying to get technicians down here. One tech took off the door as well as the back panels, and now the door wont close and it leaks on both sides instead of one. It’s very frustrating because other than that one tech who came, I’ve still yet to get another one to come and look at the refrigerator and were about ready to throw it out on the street. My liking of Viking has always been the cooktops or ranges. In fact, I just had my 60-inch installed in my kitchen in the main house. I still like the product. Its just very frustrating to deal with customer service. Their service and follow-up is horrendous and I would not recommend it to anybody. Ive been in the restaurant business for 30 years and people respect the opinion. So I cant make a recommendation when something is lopsided.

We were looking at the Wolf, and it was out of my price range. And the only reason I looked at the Wolf is because of its name in the industry. When we went to the store, the gentleman pointed out that its not necessarily the best product on the market. Its just got a following and a name. It was my first time purchasing a gas stove and he showed us the Viking. He told us a little bit about it and the features, and it had a model that they were actually discontinuing and it was a really good deal and we picked it up.Even our renovator who installed it said, This is a really good oven, because of the way it cleans. The grill of Wolf is tight so its harder to clean. With Viking its so easy to just pick up the grill and wipe it and its done. I love the product. You can really control the heat and Ive never cooked with gas before. I was reluctant, but its a lot more controlled in the heat in how you cook so I like it.The rep was also really good and knowledgeable and not pushy when I first went. He educated me on this. So check out the product because the Wolf and the Sub-zeros got its name in the industry and then everybody wants one, but they don’t realize that theres this other product that are just as competitive and has better price points that are equally or if not, better.

I bought a new home and the Viking refrigerator and the freezer were purchased by my builder through a supplier. I like the space because its a full-size refrigerator and I have great lights on the side of the inside of it and along the top, so its easy to see things. The fridge looks nice but Ive had some issues with it. It was making a terrible noise and then it went away. I didnt get around calling the repair people. Also, I was working and while I was away on vacation and my daughters were home this summer, the refrigerator lost cooling. So, the repair people came and they had to replace the circuit board which was odd. Prior to that, we had some drips in the back of it and then it went away and now its back so I have to call someone again. Its an expensive refrigerator and Im disappointed in its performance when it has, supposedly, had a good name and many years behind it. It has failed a couple of times and its only a year old.

I’ve owned several Vikings including an outdoor grill, a six-burner cooktop, and the convection Viking Range that I have now. The grill and cooktop are good but this particular range was defective. The dealer was good but I dont know why the referred me to this service company that’s way out in BF, Michigan when their service company is closer. It left a lot to be desired on the scheduling. But I was able to get the dealer to actually send somebody else that fixed it. Although it took them four weeks to get it operational after I purchased.

I had a Viking range in my older home. So when I was remodeling the house over a year ago, the designer who was helping me with the kitchen picked it, and it was installed over the summer because renovation takes a long time. Then I moved in November of this past year. I used it during Thanksgiving and it worked briefly for a second, but then it broke. Every Viking product that Ive purchased is broken - the range hood, the refrigerator, and the range. I have a very busy life, so by the time I get around to calling for anything and figuring out where I need to call and what I need to do, and get everything registered, and realizing what is all wrong, it takes me a while. I have a job, so every time I try to call and stay on hold, I cant call in, because your business hours are my business hours. So Im not happy and I would never buy one again.

I wanted to pair up all my products with the same thing. I was choosing from Viking, Wolf, and Sub-Zero, and it was a comparison between them. We chose Viking over the Sub-Zero line cause Sub-Zero has a dishwashing machine that has an interior that I wasnt completely satisfied with. In addition, Viking should also make a wine fridge so that my entire houses appliances would be a Viking. I have their range, the hood, and the dishwasher cause thats pretty much the only appliances that they offer. The range is good, but its burner tends to leave a lot of watermarks which is like a darkening stain. And for whatever price Im paying for them, it shouldnt be something like that. The appearance on the burner of a Viking should have been a little cleaner. The main effect that just blows me off. No matter how much I do, it looks like its dirty but its not. From my experience, I have heard of lots of people telling its gonna do that, and I already knew about it before I bought the product. I even asked the person where I picked it if there was any way to prevent it. I was told Ive got to replace it. I called Viking up and replaced the little lid. But the main thing is that it heats up all my food and I love that its flame. Its so powerful that everything just heats up twice as fast compared to a regular Sears product that I would have bought. I have a close relative that owns the Wolf line of the same exact products that I have from Viking, and I have used their products before I bought the Viking products. The Viking does everything like a commercial grade appliance would do but its not commercial grade so it does the effect for our household, in general. And it does work 20% faster with me cooking on a Viking than on a Wolf. But at the same time, the Wolf that I used was three years older than the newer series that most probably came out with the changes that they have. As for the dishwasher, its great and it matches all my appliances but I wish it was more fancy enough. If I have to pick a dishwasher all over again, I would have gone with Sub-Zero. Even though I didnt like the interior much, it is a little bit nicer in the features that Ive seen on the newer ones. Other than that, everything else seems fine and well-warrantied.

We did some research on the appliances before we had our house built. There were Viking appliances at the stores then I ordered and read their book. I thought the quality was good. My granddaughters school had Viking appliances. I talked with the people that run the facility there and asked them what they thought of the Viking and how it worked. They convinced me that it was definitely worth it.All of my kitchen appliances are Viking and I wanted to register for all of the warranties. I went to the Viking website and it would not allow me to do that. Then I was having an issue with the dishwasher, and I couldn’t find in the book to correct it. I ended up having to call the repair personnel to get out of the mode as it went into an error code. I had to schedule an appointment and then it took a couple of weeks for them to get here. I also asked the gentleman to help me register the appliances for warranty and he did that. I gave him the information and he was very helpful. For the money that I spent on this kitchen, I expected a concierge service. But Im pretty much pleased with it. Its pretty good and right now, it seems to fit my needs. I like the way the doors are softly closed in the refrigerator. Its good and its a little larger than the standard size. I also like the ice dispenser. I would like the water dispenser but then that would be an additional cost. Overall, Im well satisfied and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Before, I was so excited to have Viking. Ive known the brand for a long time and they are well-known. Also, the builder of the house we had built wanted to put in Viking appliances, so we agreed to it. But every single one of the Viking appliances is just okay, if not less than okay, which is a bummer. Ive had issues with the very top shelf of our Viking Refrigerator. It freezes food because thats where the air comes in from the freezer and you have to be careful on that shelf because the food will get frozen. That has never happened in any of the other refrigerators we’ve had and we’ve owned 40 refrigerators because we move a lot and we’ve owned a lot of homes. I’m also not happy with the design of the ice machine in the bottom. The sensor bar doesn’t sense the ice very well, so it gets full. When you open it, it knocks the ice off into the back of the refrigerator so you have to patter around there like a kitten trying to get back the ice cubes out after they’ve fallen. I shouldn’t have to do that and its a silly feature. All in all, the Viking refrigerator is not so great and not worth the money.

The Viking range is a known quality item. Ive never purchased an appliance thats expensive as all this stuff is. Like if youre accustomed to buying an economy car, then you walk into the Rolls Royce dealership. Viking did a pretty amazing job explaining everything and it was a whole another level of service that Ive never experienced in appliances before. They also sent over a wonderful service person who diagnosed everything and did a great job. We have had the range for about two months and it seemed kinda cool. It doesnt have a lot of unnecessary garbage on it. It just has what you need and it does what its supposed to do very quickly. It heats up quickly and makes the soup very quickly. My girlfriend loves it and shes the one who cooks. My girlfriend would recommend Viking Ranges. She was very impressed by the way you can take it apart and clean it, the different stages of the stove, and the pull-out drawer.

I bought a fridge and dishwasher back in 2011. The fridge was fine, however, the dishwasher was just dreadful. After going through several channels, a Viking rep told me to pull it out and sell it. Eventually, the store where I bought it ended up replacing it. I then opted for a Miele dishwasher. In June 2013, I decided to try again with Viking. I ordered a range top, range hood with fan, and warming drawer. The range top had to be replaced as it arrived very badly scratched and dented. It was yet another ordeal to get it replaced. The warming drawer is sitting all apart on my living room floor. Ive never had the chance to use it because the cabinet rubs against the drawer and screeches metal to metal when trying to use it.The Viking rep sent out a panel to be screwed into the base of the drawer to keep it flat but that did not work. Now we have another part ordered but Viking has the flippant attitude of telling us they have no idea when the part will arrive. In order to complete the remodel of my kitchen I needed double ovens and a microwave. I chose Jenn Air, and could not be happier with their products. Also, their customer service is outstanding. Viking is definitely the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is just horrendous.

Ive had a Viking before in my old house but Ive had this new fridge for three weeks and so far, Ive had nothing but problems with it. Everything I put in it, either in the vegetables part or the upper part, is freezing. Everything in the back is freezing. Even though it is cheaper than what I had before, no one will wanna spend $5,000 on a fridge and have problems the very first day it gets there. It doesn’t make sense to have that. And when I called in, the customer service gentleman that I talked to was not nice at all. Then Ive had to wait three weeks to get them to fix it. The technician is coming out tomorrow though and the company Viking used was really friendly. It was nice. We remodeled our kitchen and have replaced all of our appliances with new Viking models to include: a 6-burner, 2-oven range; a 36 built in freezer, a 36 built in refrigerator, 2 dishwashers, a microwave and a double electric oven with French doors on top. I have had problems with not one, but ALL of my appliances within the first two years of owning each of them. The problems that were covered under warranty eventually got fixed, but the service provided in Rancho Santa Fe by the southern California servicer recommend on the Viking website (Executive Appliance), has been slow and unreliable. I was without a freezer for two weeks and only got it fixed because I repeatedly called them to chase the electrical board part and their technician (after losing several hundred dollars worth of food). The refrigerators hinge had a metal part that literally broke apart and fell on the floor. Again another, several week wait to get this fixed. Both dishwashers stopped working within the first two years and have been repaired and are working, but one has control buttons that constantly stick and the paint labeling the buttons is rubbing off. The electric oven does not heat evenly and the food at the back gets cooked faster, so you have to rotate your cakes and cookies or use the convection feature to minimize burning at the back. The small oven in my gas range does not work consistently, so I just use the electric ones now. So, if you intend to use your appliances regularly, I would advise avoiding Viking. Like other reviewers, its just a fancy name badge on your appliance, whats beneath is not well constructed or reliable. I am so DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER again purchase a Viking product. I cannot imagine how they will stay in business with such unreliable products. I am just furious about the time and effort Ive had to spend getting things fixed that are not even old. I guess I should have kept the very old appliances - - at least they worked.

When our family bought our home we purchased all new Viking kitchen equipment. Double oven, heat warming tray, 2 oversized units, one refrigerators, one freezer, ice machine dishwasher, hood, and 6 burner stove top. Within two years the refrigerator started leaking. We complained to the company we purchased it from and he said it was the seal. They ordered a new one from Viking but what Viking failed to tell them was that the refrigerator we had purchased was one of the first 100 off the assembly line and they had recalled this item. The continuing leakage from the refrigerator ruined our hardwood floors. We finally had a rep come out and look at the refrigerator and believe it or not we got a new one after this continuing over a year. The ice machine in the freezer went bad so he ordered us a new one while he was there. The ice machine that was self standing the board went out after 4 years and it cost almost as much to fix so we threw it out. Now our freezer only freezes halfway. There is a hole in the condensing coil that they can not locate. Now the refrigerator that was replaced the door keeps catching and it will not close properly. The dishwasher would not drop water after 5 years. Could not figure out why it would not and just ended up throwing that away.

My experience with Viking has always been good. When I rebuilt a house ten years ago, I filled it with Viking stuff. My kitchen was 40 feet long, so it was cramped full of everything Viking made. And then I built another house down here in Palm Springs and filled it with Viking stuff too. The representatives at the Viking dealer were the best. Ive never seen any appliance company operate like they do. My Viking ranges quality is top notch. I like the different things I can do with it - bake, bake convection, convection. I also like the ease where I can control the flames on the stove top. Its a new generation and the flame goes way down now. In the past, it wasnt as adjustable but its really good now.

I used an online Viking dealer to purchase the range and the sales was very good. But the dealer sent out a really bad delivery crew and it cost a whole set of headaches. They sent the wrong person to do the installation and left a scratch on the floor. Ive been using my Viking range for six months and I like the look of it. However, it makes a large banging noise every time I turn on the oven and they told me that its normal. Also, its a product thats so expensive but weve already had one issue where two of the burners didnt light. So they came and fixed the burners within a week. Their customer service team was fantastic and I had a really good experience with them.

We purchased our Viking 48 built in in 2005 and during the next two years, had (11) service calls to either fix the ice maker or the temperature control module. The ice maker never functioned properly and we finally replaced it at a cost of over $550. Their service rep. actually argued and yelled at my wife on the phone because the item was out of warranty. How in the hell can any company stand for that type of customer relations and expect people like us to recommend their products?? But there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there are some companies that still know the business of good customer relations and that is Wolf / Sub Zero. Point in fact, my double oven control unit went out. We called the Wolf service center and asked them if there was anything they could do for us to minimize the cost of replacing the module at $760.00. They immediately said that they would waive the cost of the parts but we would have to pay a service fee of $125. DONE DEAL. By the way, the unit was ten years old. I tell this story to everyone who will listen, perhaps Viking will, someday. To be fair, I did find out that there was a recall on the refrigerator door pins that could break and the door could fall off. I called and they were very nice and will cover the replacement costs and parts 100%, which they should on any safety recall.

Viking has been around for a while. We knew about the quality when we chose it. The rep was very knowledgeable and had a lot of experience, but it probably came down to when we knew about the really good price on which we got it. The quality of the range is okay although its not as well-thought-through as we might have thought it would be. The inability to effectively clean it is the most disappointing part of it. The technician who came out and serviced it knew what he was doing. He once said this is a known issue, and it just came with the range. I love my grill though, and I’m satisfied with my Viking range.

Bought a brand new Viking two door, one drawer bottom freezer fridge. After a while the icemaker quit. They sent a tech. They told me they needed all sorts of parts from Viking. Then I got a call from Viking. Your fridge has been discontinued! Less than a year after coming onto the market. They told us they would send us a new fridge. We got the new fridge on 1 Sept 2014. Just before Christmas, the icemaker went out on this model. The tech called three different techs including Viking because he cant get the icemaker out of the fridge. The line frozen, too. I have to agree with everyone else here. Viking sucks and I have a full Viking kitchen that I wish I could afford to replace them all!

We bought a brand new house and all the appliances were Viking. The original refrigerator that was discontinued was really substandard in the sense that the design was flawed. The freezer is at the bottom half so anything that tumbled from the refrigerator fell on the freezer and the freezer frame was dented. It kept getting dented. I wasnt very happy with the quality so I had to replace that with the model that came about after it was discontinued. I was trying to replace the bottom freezer and I called their parts department and one was better, but the other was charging me $2,000 just for the bottom freezer while a new model costs $3,500. Theres just no recourse as far as their customer service. In addition, somebody recognized that the design was flawed, so they changed it. The freezer frame was no longer stainless steel. It was very very hard plastic and it didnt jut out anymore. So, its horrible that such a design was at all created. There was no quality control. We then got a new refrigerator from Best Buy and they were pretty good except for the delivery that had so much bumbling all over the place. The first people who delivered it didnt know how to handle refrigerators because the foot was dented. Im very dissatisfied with all the Viking appliances we had and Im never going to recommend Viking ever.

I wouldnt recommend Viking Ranges. We got it because of the brand reputation and the style. However, we have an oven that takes about 45 to 50 minutes to preheat to 350. We called Viking Ranges and they told us who to call. Then when we called the people out here in Los Angeles who are the authorized service reps, the rep thought it was normal. The second time we called was when the rep was really informative and checked with the service tech. She confirmed that it is normal to take that long for the oven to preheat. I went right to the stores. I wish someone would confirm that sounds too long. It seems like there would be way too many complaints to get away with that. We rarely use it but aside from the oven, the range also has a range top which is great.

My husband and I like to cook a lot and we like the high BTUs. Viking is known for quality, and we also like the elegant style of the range. We did a professional kitchen with a remodel and really liked it. My husband likes the Viking ranges ability to sear steaks. He actually likes the steaks in the oven better than on the grill now. The only thing I dont like about the oven is when you close the door, it really wants to close. The first time I went to close it, it slipped out of my hand and it slammed shut. You have to really hold on to the door, unlike other stoves where theres some tension at the end and it wont shut all the way until you push it to close. Other than that, Ive put some water on the stove and I was amazed. I put it on the front burner, the high BTUs, and the water heated up. It was boiling within a couple of minutes and it was very nice to be able to have the features that allow it to work as well as it does. Weve enjoyed the range and I would recommend it.

Viking Combi oven model vcso210ss - This is an unsafe product. The trays on this small unit have no stops. As a result of this design defect, the trays slide forward and down. Because of this downward motion, anything on or in the tray has the potential to splash or fall onto the door, which pulls down, or onto the hands of the consumer. Fortunately, no injuries to date but will probably use mostly in the microwave mode which requires no tray.

I got a range, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a refrigerator from Viking. But Im not happy with any of them. I had a problem with the burners of the range. Its really easy to move the igniter if youre cleaning it and when you take the ring off. But if you move the igniter too close, it wont ignite. You have to bend it back into place. I had to bend it back in place initially to get it to work. Also, the finish on the grills that come with it on the top came off on it in four months. I called Viking and figured they would send me a new one. But they said it was not covered and that it was cosmetic. These things are supposed to be pretty sweet. Let me start off with how terrible this company is with everything they do. They claim that they strive to be the best with customer service and this and that but its all false lies that any customer shouldnt believe. I will NEVER, EVER recommend this company to anyone or recommend anyone to buy any of their products as they are crap and parts need to be replaced numerous times throughout the year. A couple of years back we purchased a 7 thousand dollar Viking range and if I went on to explain the problems this oven has caused us it would go on and on forever. 500 dollar burners had to be replaced numerous times throughout the years as well as numerous other parts which werent working, leaving us with repairs worth more or equal to the price of the oven from day one. We decided to contact the company and put in a claim because we saw that they rebranded the company and a lot of complaints were filed with them in the earlier years about the same exact oven we had. They requested all repair documents even stating that they saw we had to get it repaired by them within the first few months. We spoke to a customer service representative named Lashelle ** and she was the most terrible one of them, all rude and didnt help with anything, barely got responses to emails and had to go out of our way to get a response back from her. She finished the review and said theres nothing they can do about the oven. Screw your company and crappy pieces of ** ovens which you do nothing for the customer who has problems with them. DO NOT BUY AS YOU WILL REGRET THIS PURCHASE SEVERELY.

They looked elegant and efficient, and I liked the overall design and workmanship. When the bottom line of the refrigerator was making a noise in the back, the guy came over and fixed it. There was no problem, and it took him one minute. Then, another problem we had was that we were making too much ice. We took it out and all of a sudden, we were not making ice anymore. So, we did everything. What happened was that the ice must have frozen in the line. The guy then took it out and fixed that aspect of it, too. Now, everything is fine. Following a friends recommendation, I got a Viking range and its beautiful. I got the black one and not only does it work well, but it’s nice-looking. The quality is really good too. I love cooking with it, although there are things that it can do that I havent utilized yet because I’ve only had it hooked up for about four months. Also, when I first got it, the broiler was broken. They just fixed that about a month ago. Its an amazing broiler, it goes over the whole top of the oven. It took a long time for them to come out to get it fixed because I live in a rural area. There was some problem with me getting the paperwork, but it didn’t have to do with Viking. I bought it through AJ Madison, and their company was the one that I was having trouble with obtaining the paperwork so that I could get the product registered, and then I could get it serviced for free under the warranty. The person who handled it did a good job, and it works now.Apart from the broiler, which I love that, I also love that on a standard stove that I’m used to, it has the smaller center burners, and these can all go to the boiling. And then they have one that’s huge, so it really gets your water boiling quickly. It also has a dehydrator built into it, which is amazing. It bakes well, too. I’ve had good experience with everything. I would buy one again for sure.

Unbelievable, but after 3 months and some limited use, our outdoor grill burned through the light wires and short circuiting the house. After finding the tripped fuse switch, we tried it again with the lights off. It worked once and then the burner fell off as it had melted. Viking says that this $6,000 plus range actually wont let us close the canopy and heat it up. They said to just put the food on and it will eventually get done (have they ever tried a turkey or even a chicken breast). They say that people call in all the time with burned wires and knobs falling off, and that you really arent supposed to warm it up (contrary to what the manual says). From the day my refrigerator was installed, it didnt work. The temperature was always above 45 degrees. A repairman was sent to my house 12 times between April 2008 and May 2009. Then miraculously, a different guy came and it seemed worked for 14 months. To this day, I do not know how one guy fixed it in 10 minutes when another guy came 11 times, spent hours and still couldnt fix it. When I voiced this concern, the company accused me of saying the guy did something unethical. So I let it go. A huge mistake. Now, the same old problem is back. I had to agree to pay for the service call and parts which I did. The tech guy recommended certain parts. The repair guy never used those parts instead, he installed a part for $165.00 which was already replaced twice. It cost me $404.00 and the refrigerator is once again not working. Temperature is above 45 degrees. So now what? Junk a $6000.00 refrigerator? I continue to pay for service calls that should have been taken care of when the refrigerator was installed. But I get confused once I use the conventional or the bake. I dont know what the difference is or how it works. Im not chef type person and Ive been Googling that to try to figure out whats the difference between that and the regular bake. The grills are heavy duty, too, which is good. We got to be careful when we take them off and clean them so we dont hit the actual stove with them. My wife cleans them daily and she scratched the front on top of it on the shiny part. It was stainless steel and she said it was heavy so she dropped it.

Purchasing a Viking range was the contractors decision, but we were asked if we were okay with that and to me its one of the best out there. The whole thing is awesome because right now in my other home, I have an electric range and theres no comparison. You can cook faster and you can turn it off and on and have the heat go away. We have the grill part in the middle of our range, which I havent used yet but I love that feature. Overall I havent used the range much yet since its our second home and we were only there over the holidays, but the little bit that I did, I loved it.

I bought my home 2 1/2 yrs ago with a really beautiful kitchen. All appliances are Viking and the agent kept telling me they are the best products on the market. We have the two drawer pull out dishwashers. From the time we bought the house they do not clean anything properly. I have had technicians out various times, some telling us that cascade powder doesnt work and we must use gel capsules. Even if we wash the dishes thoroughly before they dont come out clean. I need them to work as they match everything in my kitchen. My viking microwave also doesnt work properly so I just use it to reheat. This house was remodelled around 5 yrs ago and from the time we moved in it was terrible. Who needs to clean dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher to find them still marked when you take them out. My daughter has the same crockery set and has a cheap dishwasher and hers come out spotless. Please someone help me as I need everything to match in my kitchen. Viking service are a waste of time and money. Thanks.

We thought that there was an issue with the range. After speaking with several people, those individuals from customer service didnt know about the product and how it works. So, we had to have two specialists come out to look at it. The first one couldnt give us an answer, and the second one looked at it for about two minutes and said that the issue we were having was completely normal. It took us about a month to feel like we were using it safely before someone said that and we didnt expect people on the phone to know exactly what the product is. We havent used the range to its full potential as of yet but were happy with it.

So, new refrigerator and freezer to replace a defective Viking product previously installed. The installers were amateurs. They came by to survey the house to make certain they could get the equipment in, but still brought the wrong equipment to get the units in the house. They also did not bring the correct tools to complete the installation. They had to borrow from another contractor that I had working at the house and from me to get the units installed. Totally unacceptable. Finally installed, and the freezer doesnt make ice, really???After two additional trips, someone determines that the wrong switch was installed on the freezer by the factory. It took over 5 WEEKS to get this resolved, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I tried to buy American and local, I live in Mississippi, but I get torpedoed by Vikings total ineptitude at building products and by Vikings installation agents complete incompetence. I will NEVER recommend Viking for ANYTHING. Your products are totally inferior and installation is an abomination.

I’ve seen Viking Ranges around, and Ive seen them evolve into a more sophisticated product than they were originally. They are robust, close to commercial in quality and performance, but have the benefit of being thoughtful of a residential home. They have convection, high heat, and different things one might want, like a broiler and a griddle, and you may or may not want it. And they have stood the test of time. I had a Garland for 25 years. It was commercial and rugged, but it didnt keep up.The reps were not knowledgeable at the store that I bought it at. But they were not unfriendly. I came prepared, having done my homework. And I felt a little rushed. But too bad for me, you have to have tough feelings. I had an insurance plan and something went wrong. And the insurance wasnt the easiest thing to work out. It was hard to get them and to get help. That was a little slippery. The irony of it all is my electrician rewired the kitchen and they had switched the neutral. The stove knew it, and was misbehaving, and we thought it was the stove. The people in Brooklyn who fixed it, top shelf. They could have told me anything. They diagnosed the truth. “You got the wrong polarity, fix it”. We fixed it, but the stove was never broken. That is more important to me than the sales people by a mile. Viking has excellent factory trained technicians. Love that. The reason I bought the Viking was it has a smart sensor. If the flame went out, it knew, and it lighted it. I was stunned at that. It may have been around a long time, but I didnt know about it. So it has everything I’ve seen in lots of places, but it has a smart technology that is lifesaving. It’s fantastic. The caveat is weve had it a few years. The quality is good, and the performance is excellent. We rattle the doors, turn the knobs and spill things just like anybody else. And so far, its just humming along. I would recommend that stove in a heartbeat. And this is a person who had a Garland for a long time.

We bought a newly constructed house and Viking Ranges were already in the house. Weve been using it since the beginning of March and had some issues with it but overall, the quality has been good. One of the eyes on the burner has a hard time catching. I would try to get it to light and it would click but it won’t light. We’ll have to do that a bunch of times and if it doesn’t work sometimes, we’ll have to use one of the other eyes. Other than that, we like the design, the aesthetics and the feel of the range. Its clean and everything has been good with it.

We got a bunch of Viking. Also, all the fire stations in our local county government have Viking equipment in it so we stayed with them ‘cause it’s better than residential equipment. Then we had a problem with the oven and it was the left button on the stove. I called Viking, they gave us a reference number, and a company called Top Notch Appliance was supposed to come and fix it. They were supposed to call us to let us know when they were coming but they never did so we called them and they were closed for two weeks. I called Viking back a second time to see if there was somebody else and I was told it was just Top Notch for our service area. Then they called back a few days later and did a good job fixing it. Its just a matter of how long it took. Viking should have a backup company ‘cause the second time I called, the reference number was for the same small company. I asked the guy who came if he was the owner of the company. He said he was and his wife took calls. But Viking is a good range.

When we remodeled our kitchen we purchased all Viking appliances -- BIG MISTAKE! From day one the refrigerator leaked water out the freezer. Soon thereafter the seal had to be replaced. The motor failed and we lost hundreds of dollars of food. And the open door alarm went berserk and kept beeping even with the door shut for 6 days straight (day and night) until the repair guy finally came to turn it off. The oven has been through 3 electronic boxes and the burner lighters go bad every few months. As for the dishwasher... we have had the motor replaced once, the pump replaced twice. The water fill thingy (not sure what its called) replaced twice and three leaks from the bottom fixed. Do yourself a big favor and do not purchase Viking products unless you are having an affair with a Viking Appliance repair man, lol!

It also completes the look of our kitchen. I would like some more tech-oriented features like the ability to connect to WiFi to do something. That would be appealing. We purchased from AJ Madison but we did not have a great experience. But the lady that I talked to at Viking because I needed a service on the dishwasher was okay. We special ordered our Viking range in white on May 13, 2017 and were told it would be 6-8 weeks for delivery. Our range was delivered August 5th with no explanation of the delay. When our range was removed from its pallet and packing material removed, we discovered the door and lower cover panel were both dented. Our selling dealer quickly noted the damage, but installed the range with the promise to have both pieces replaced. It is now November 10th and we are finally scheduled to have the damaged pieces replaced on 11/18. We are patient people, but the delay in the original delivery date and the long wait for replacement parts seems unreasonable. No reason was ever given for either delay and that makes our experience with Viking only satisfactory. We were fortunate that the operation of our range was not compromised and have been using it since delivery in August. It performs flawlessly and does meet our cooking needs. However, the center burner doesnt seem to work correctly (it never goes to high) but we are hopeful that when the service tech comes to replace the dented pieces, he/she can make a simple adjustment. My husband and I do wish that there was direct communication from Viking beginning at the original order date. To date, we have never heard directly from Viking until this. Knowing the status of our order would have been much appreciated, given the substantial cost of our Viking.

The refrigerator is four years old and one evaporator in the unit leaked so it froze the whole bottom of the refrigerator. Viking covered the part, which I appreciated. But, I had to pay for the labor. I have heard that that had been an issue with some of their units, but they have also improved their warranty since I purchased. So I was thinking, if the parts had not been covered, I probably would have bought another one --and I would have gone with another Viking-- because I am looking at 3,000 versus maybe 7,000. Right now, I have a year on the parts. The appliance repair people I dealt with were pleasant and courteous. They made sure whether or not there was a warranty on the parts. They were timely to come out, they came back out quickly, and did the job that I thought was an excellent repair. When I pulled on the one bottom drawer, because I did not realize the bottom was frozen at that time, I broke the handle. So, they ordered a replacement part for me, which I picked up yesterday. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. Its performance is great as far as what it is supposed to do. I like the built-in look with the wood panel of the refrigerator and I like the fact that it keeps the vegetables fresher the way the airflow is versus a standard one.

Bought Viking double oven, cooktop and dishwasher March, 2018. After opening the items, the oven and the dishwasher were damaged. They were heavily damaged with dents so deep that there were holes. After weeks of complaints, numerous talk with customer service rep, I am still nowhere. About a month ago, I was finally granted a replacement for both of them. (Even though the entire time, so, the last 4 months I was told that the parts are arriving). Now, today, Sept, 5, I decided to call and make an official complaint against Viking dept handling my case. A person called TONY, said he could help. After he realized that I want to file a complaint, he started avoiding the issue. I asked for a supervisor and these were his answers: none is available, they are all in a meeting. I could hear laughter in the background. He started mocking me as well. I asked for an email of any supervisor and he said that he is not authorized to give out their emails!!! I still cannot believe the disrespect shown towards a customer. Complete lack of professionalism as well. If I had known that this is going to happen, I would have never bought Viking. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING VIKING RANGE.

Viking has been on our radar for quite a long time and it was something that my wife wanted to buy again since our prior experience in another property. She liked the product and we had good luck with it. We purchased the refrigerator over a year ago and I’ve registered the warranty information in the last few months. I like the appearance of the stainless look to the refrigerator, the layout inside and its capacity. I like it much better than my refrigerator here at home. The product itself is excellent and the Viking dealer was great at selling it. However, the installation focus was not what we hoped for since we had some issues with it but we got that rectified. Viking vet on the dealers very carefully to make sure that they’re being represented well because installation will make or break someone’s view of the product sometimes. They have to make certain that they honor the warranty in case it’s ever needed and to stand behind their product.

We bought a home thats a few years old, and it already had appliances in it as far as the refrigerator, oven, and microwave. Because I was doing a very large remodel in the kitchen, I needed my appliances to match. Weve heard really great things about Viking in the past, I didnt think twice about it. Well, was I ever so wrong. I should have just redid the whole kitchen for the amount of money that I ended up spending on Viking. We purchased a Series 5. Professional range, dual fuel, and with an overhead vent. Our dealer was Ferguson here in Houston. We didnt actually see it because they didnt have any on the floor but I said, “Well, we know were going to get it, so why do I need to see it? We’ll just buy it.” We ordered at the end of December because there was a special wherein if you buy the range and the overhead vent, you would get a free microwave. Ferguson does the installation, and there was too much back and forth with them. The guy and I were going back on whether it was a 7 or 10-inch blower hole, which is a very big difference and could be very costly if done wrong because youre cutting into an exterior wall. We ended up saying it should be a seven. But then when I was reading the notes of what I had purchased, it was saying that we needed a 10-inch hole. I called Viking and found out the salesperson at Ferguson ordered the wrong blower. Fortunately, I caught the mistake and didnt have the hole cut to 10 inches. I had them cancel the blower, reorder, and send us the correct blower.Ferguson wanted to come out for a second pre-site before they install the appliances to make sure we had done everything that met their criteria. We put in a 110 for the dual fuel range just like what they told us. The guy even wrote on my old crown molding on the wall 110. Guys came back for a check, and its a 240 or 220. At this point, my cabinets are done and its going to be very difficult to run a new electrical to the wall. My electrician somehow figured it out and was able to run a new electrical. He even called to confirm that you want for it to be hardwired into the wall. He was told, “Yeah, we dont need a plug. It just gets hardwired.” So he left it capped and ready for the range to be hardwired. Ferguson came and said, “No, it has to be plugged in.” Viking told us it could be hardwired, which Ive read in the installation manual personally but Ferguson said no and left the range in the middle of my kitchen. My electrician came back out and installed the plug. It was a whole mess but that’s just the beginning. My contractor said something was wrong with the vent hood. He held up a proper level, and the vent hood was crooked. When Ferguson installed the vent hood, they used a level that was one foot-long, so it wasnt really checking the whole thing. So they came back out to re-level it. They also ended up yanking the rubber feet off of the microwave because the hole that they measured for us was too small. The oven knobs were put on backwards so the oven wouldn’t come on. I was infuriated. I finally went back and looked at it after 30 minutes. I was like, “Oh, somebody put the knobs on wrong.” Okay, good. Oven works. I also had to pay a separate company to do ductwork because they wouldnt do it, which nobody could understand. We had a party with some friends on the 4th of July weekend. I went to cook a standing rib roast. Standing rib roast is cooked at 200 degrees until the rib roast reaches temperature. And then, from there, Im supposed to crank my oven to 500 and sear off that meat. Simple. Ive done this on a very cheap Samsung electric range, ‘cause thats what I had at my last house. The Viking never made it to 500. We waited for over an hour and a half. I have an existing Viking oven thats 13 years old, and it gets to 450 within a matter of minutes. So I dont understand why this big oven, thats brand new, and costs tens of thousands of dollars cant get a temperature. I called Viking, and the lady I got, Juanita, was not helpful. She said I have to have somebody come out. Ovens are finicky. My aunt has a Wolf and if you dont hit the button just so, it doesnt do what you want it to do. Juanita wasnt listening to my problem. I told her, Maybe I dont need somebody and you just need to tell me to click the button left or something.” She would not help me. The owner of the company came and said, “Well, it reaches 350 within the 25 minutes its supposed to. Theres nothing wrong with it.” I was like, “Something is wrong because its not getting to 500.” He said, “It gets to 350 in its normal time. But you need a new fan. Your fan’s loud.” I was like, “The thing is brand-new. How can I need a new fan?” He told me theres a Viking chart out in the world that Ive never gotten my hands on to this day, that is supposed to tell me how long it takes to go from 350 to 500. Theres an interval, like every 10 degrees, it takes 15 minutes or whatever it is. But he didnt know what it was. He tried to call Viking and he couldnt get it. I kept calling and would even try to talk to other Viking representatives but they said Juanita’s my case manager. Juanita was out of the office and they still would not help me.It took me until September to get it to work. For three months, I fought with people to get my oven to work. All they had to do was tell me, “If you would turn the oven off and turn it back on, itll use full voltage to go to 500.” What happens on Viking ranges is, once it hits the set temperature, it uses half the voltage to maintain the temperature of the oven that you have it set. Because you change your settings to a higher temperature, itll only use half the voltage to get to that point. Thats why Ive never reached 500. Horrible customer service. I was mortified by the service I received, especially after how much money I spent with Viking. Now that I know how the oven is supposed to work, I love it. Nobody could tell me that until right the second representative from Bar Appliance came out.

Weve been using Viking appliances for eight months and so far they have been okay. However, the oven was not working properly, which was a little disappointing given that it was brand new. We had it fixed and the guy who came out was good. I didn’t realize the appliances were registered, so when I needed someone to come out quickly to service the oven and I did the registration online, I needed to wait because the people that needed to accept the registration were gone for the day. I built a custom home in 2008 and chose to install an all-Viking kitchen, based on their supposedly superior professional performance, quality and reputation. Specifically, I purchased a 6-burner range with a grill and griddle, double oven, double door ref, wine cooler, microwave, dishwasher and food warming drawers! Within the first month, the drawers in my refrigerator both cracked because the door trays hit them every time they are opened and closed. Then the top shelf and the vegetable drawer froze all of my food! The door to my wine cooler keeps flying open and the dishwasher was serviced several times because it started to smell like a wet dog. The repairmen (several came and couldnt fix the thing) said that it was because the hose kinks trapping food and causing it to ferment. So appetizing! Currently, my dishwasher has been out of service for six months and counting because the authorized Viking servicer cant seem to get the part from the factory because its been discontinued! (My GE dishwasher lasted over 26 years and I could always get parts!). Finally, my Viking microwave broke twice in the first four years! All of this inconvenience and frustration just to have friends come over and admire the Viking Professional logo on all of my appliances, at least until I tell them that Viking has the worst-designed appliances ever made and the quality control department should be standing in some unemployment line somewhere for bilking customers out of their hard-earned money! Dont be a victim! Do not buy Viking!

I knew a couple of people who have Viking Ranges and they spoke highly of them. Viking also has a reputation that they stand behind their product and their ranges are very good at heating. However, I had a big issue when I first purchased the stove. I bought it from a store and they shipped it to the wrong place. They said that Viking had some issue then they said someone else had some issue. I was supposed to get it in November but I ended up getting it in January. I finally just called Best Buy and said I’m cancelling the order, then I placed a second order through AJ Madison which delivered it on time.I got the one with six open burners that deliver equivalent heat. So far, the stove has been great but I had two issues before with the stove. First, the oven conked out on me. I called Viking then the warranty people came over, looked at the oven, and fixed the spark igniter that was not working. The second issue was the ventilation hood and for whatever reason, the switch on it stopped working. So, the techs had to come in with a switch part. That took a little longer, though, since they said that they’re usually slow to get parts from Viking. I called them on a Monday and they were supposed to come on a Friday, but they said that they were two weeks out, so I waited a little bit. Both issues have been taken care of and Ive been very pleased with Viking.

I also used the broiler for some great T-bone steaks. I like that it’s so spacious and easy to clean. I had one bad experience with their team at the dealer, but that was in-house and the general manager extended a conversation with us and took care of that. Our Viking Range was only 4 years old when a tiny part in the electronic panel broke in half. After searching for many hours for someone willing to come and fix it, we were told that most likely the whole electronic panel would have to be replaced. Not satisfied with this, we continued our research and found that this defect was very common, and that the $20 dollar part could be purchased and replaced quite easily. We found someone that ordered the part (he was the one that told us that this was quite common and that a recall should have been done on our model of range).Since being fixed, the control knob has never worked very well and was quite finicky to turn the oven on. Now, after owning this range for only 5 years, the circuit board has shorted out. Rather than spend a dime on fixing this, I would rather just throw it out and buy a new and more simply made range. DO NOT waste your money on Viking products. They do not stand behind their appliances and it is nearly impossible to find someone that will waste their time fixing them. Go with something that can be easily fixed as I believe all appliances nowadays are designed to fail hours after their warranty has expired.

We were looking for those high-end ranges and we looked at the model. We liked the self-closing feature the most and the other brand name didn’t have it, which was why we chose Viking. The quality of the range is not bad but it doesn’t have a lot of features. Compared to my old one, which is about $3,000, the Viking range doesn’t have a timer, a warm-up feature and a clock. We had an issue with it in the beginning but we asked for service and the guy fixed it for us, but I don’t know if it is a strong range. Also, once I roast or bake something, the grease spreads out and I have to clean the oven very hard every time. Mine is a 7 Series Viking Range and it doesn’t have self-cleaning, but my old one has that. Some repair people come with knowledge and some have different opinions. I did not buy the Viking refrigerator from the same dealer, so I did not register my refrigerator but they have a warranty for 10 years. The handle came off after less than a year of using the refrigerator and it did not come with any instruction to fix the handle but I figured out how to fix it. After I fixed it, we saw something wrong with the Viking Range. So, we asked the guy if they have a special tool for that or just a screw. He said no but I figured it out myself.

Ive had a couple of Viking Refrigerators and it got one compressor on it. For its price its a good refrigerator. I bought it to keep my food cold. When I ordered it, I knew what I wanted. I did my research, I went in and bought it. While its a professional-looking refrigerator I wish it had two compressors -- one for the fridge and one for the freezer. Id recommend it still to a friend.

I have a thing for color and I have a lot of red in my house. I couldn’t decide if I wanted a range in cobalt blue or red. So I was searching the internet and I saw the deal that Viking was offering a free dishwasher if I bought the oven. It took me a while to decide on it if I was gonna buy from a dealer in New York and I wouldn’t have had to pay tax. But I wasn’t comfortable with that so I bought it from a dealer in Miami, which is where I live. I bought it in red and that’s cost me considerably more. They gave me the dishwasher but I bought the red panel which I had to pay for and I bought a Viking convection microwave which is not in color. It’s stainless. The first time I used the oven, I was really uncertain as to how quickly it cooks. So I called Viking and spoke to one of the representatives who happened to be a chef and I told her I was making lamb chops and she told me what to do. Now I have a little bit of difficulty in removing the shelves and lowering them ‘cause the pull-out shelves are in an obviously different way than regular ovens. I cooked the lamb chops a little too long so while they still came out great, I overdid them so I have to be a little careful in learning exactly how long I can put something in the oven or the broiler. And I’ve never cooked with infrared and it is fast. The range, when it turns on, it’s so fast and it boils water so quickly. The only problem I did have initially was that the broiler can that came with it was a piece of junk. It looks like it came from a $500 oven. I read the user’s instructions and it said, “Use no chemicals at all. I bought special cloth in Sweden to clean it. But the pan, the first time I used it, the surface started to come off. So they sent me a new one and the new one looks exactly like the oven rack which is what should have come with it in the first place. And it’s wonderful. However, I found this tiny little beige mark, like a perfectly cylindrical little round mark no bigger than the zero on the keyboard and I didn’t know what it was so they sent a Viking representative out and he found two of them on each side and they said they’re supposed to be there. So other than that, I don’t have any complaints. I love the Viking Range. I didn’t want to pay the extra money but I bought the sealed range set because that’s what I was used to and it was considerably more to buy it that way but it’s easy to clean. If you bought the open range, things can go underneath. And I’m not the neatest cook in the world. So all together, it cost me about $5,600. I love the dishwasher, too. It has a light in it and when it’s on, it’s so quiet you can’t hear it and the light shines red on my floor. The only thing is it’s a little smaller than I’m used to but it’s still very nice. And the microwave, it’s microwave and convection. So you can cook in it. But I have to learn how to do that because convection cooks very fast. But I love the way it looks. Also, anybody that I have had to deal with at Viking has been very polite, pleasant and always got back to me and got me that wonderful correct broiler pan right away. I don’t always use everything I buy but I like to buy and I like high-end stuff. And this is one of the few things I’ve never had a complaint about except the broiler pan which was the wrong one. So Viking is super wonderful.
