We wanted the kitchen to be more of a showplace than just an average functional kitchen. We ordered all of the appliances at the same time in January 2021, but they werent delivered until end of May. So, there was a long delay in the arrival of the appliances. We had them all there at the same time before they would start the remodel of the kitchen. Everything was on backorder at that time. There was a lack of inventory everywhere. We knew that going in, and most every appliance brand we looked at had some sort of delay on it. And we wanted all the appliances to match so we ordered accordingly and waited, which put us farther down the list on the contractors list, which was a long delay. The range works great. My wife loves it. The only real incident we had that we didnt know we would have was when we got everything installed, the icemaker didnt work. And that didnt get fixed until January of 2022. Once we got it in, we had to go through the customer service thing because it wasnt making ice. Viking sent somebody out. He checked it out and had to order a new icemaker. When it came in, they installed it and everything worked fine.

Purchased a beverage center/Mimi fridge with a 5-year service contract, thank god! It has never worked properly. We have had at least 6 service calls and probably several thousand dollars in repairs. The unit has never worked properly and has be out of service longer than it has worked. By the time we get the call to the repairman they order the parts they come back to fix, the fridge breaks in about another week. It mainly freezes the contents which leads to exploding sodas and cracked glass. It has read the incorrect temperature as well as unable to change the temperature.Right now the unit was fixed yesterday after waiting several weeks for parts and just today called the store where it was purchased to have someone come out and check it for yet another issue. The store we purchased it refuses to exchange it because it is a high endproduct and they cant take it back... I wish we purchased a 300 hundred unit from Costco instead of wasting $ 2000 on this...at least it looks pretty! We have a 5 yr service agreement so when that runs out it will be placed on the curb. Do NOT waste your money.

The Viking range has all the features I wanted and a good reputation for being a quality product. It lasts a long time with not a lot of maintenance issues. We wanted a blue range to match our blue kitchen, so we got a custom one. The first one that we received was a disaster. It never worked from the minute we got it. The spring on the door was damaged so the oven never shut properly. Every time it got up to a high temperature, it would drop suddenly down and just remain there. Every day, they sent a bunch of people out to look at it and the whole process was annoying. After a lot of complaining, they finally replaced it. But even if they could have fixed it, I still wouldn’t have wanted it. Why would I want a defective stove that didn’t work from the second it was installed? It was definitely not an easy process. They were blaming the distributor and each step that we had to go through was very frustrating to deal with. The brand new range doesn’t bake well at all. My wife tries every day to bake in it but it burns. We got the dual range with the gas top and convection electric oven. The gas range itself is great, but the actual oven is not very accurate in terms of temperature. The way it cooks food is very inconsistent and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone who wants to do a lot of baking. I would like to take an actual temperature reading on it because it seems to cook hot. Im overall disappointed with this product.

I knew about Viking Ranges from back in the days that it’s a high-end commercial range. They’re one of the first ranges from back in the day that have been still around, and I recently also heard that they have improved their latest model. So, I decided to go and get one, and I love it. I like that it’s easy to clean and take apart. I like the aesthetics, the way it feels and looks, as well and it seems good quality. Its industrial quality is my favorite. Ive used my range and have gone back to the department store. I looked at the lower-end models and the integrity of the material isn’t there, like the grill grates and the griddle. Everything is just built a lot better on the Viking gas range.

We upgraded our kitchen with all Viking appliances a couple of years ago, and I have never been so disappointed in a product line. All of the major appliances (refrigerator, stove and dishwasher) had to be serviced within the first year. The refrigerator has been serviced twice, the dishwasher three times and Im waiting as I write this for a call back from the service technician whom I paid $400 for repairs last week. On a positive note, the microwave works fine, but the trim at the base fell off of it, so I threw it away. The trim, not the microwave.Obviously there is a quality control issue that I am told Viking is working to resolve. In the meantime, my problem is the availability of servicing. The closest and ONLY certified Viking repair technician is an hour away (though the closest Viking distributor is 10 minutes away). Even though my appliances are out of warranty, I still have to rely on a Viking repair tech because Viking makes it nearly impossible for anyone else to service their appliances. If they cant make the stuff work right, youd think that they might at least Make it possible to get it fixed, since its obviously not a rare occurrence. Maybe they want us to toss the stuff out and buy new? Never again.

We have used Viking products in the past and really liked it. We have a Viking range and an oven, a cooktop stove, and a microwave so we got a refrigerator and it matched everything else. Weve been using it for about a month now and so far, its good. The experience is absolutely great. Its pleasurable and hassle-free. The only thing is its not the easiest thing in the world to level in comparison to any other fridge that Ive had. But its not that big of a deal and we got it leveled. Other than that, everything is absolutely fantastic.

We were in the market for new appliances. We were at a store, and we liked the look of the Viking range and everything about it. So, we went that route. The quality of the range is great. Everything is what we expected. However, it took a long time to receive our product. I’m not sure if it was because of Canadian standards because we are in Canada, but the process of receiving it was quite long and dragged out. I’m not sure if that was the retailer or Viking, too. Also, I am not sure if there is a light for pre-heat because I dont see that on there, so I just guess as to when the ovens ready. But, other than that, everything has been fine.

The look of the Viking refrigerator made us purchase from them. The quality is good, but it showed up dented in the front so I had to have the door replaced. Then, the freezer had some issues, but it all met the warranty. The repair guy came out four times already, so it has been easy to work the issues out. They have also been easy to schedule. The dealer we went with was okay, too.

Viking has top quality and I love it. Also, it’s simple to use. I had a LG previously and it had all the million different settings and bells and whistles, but I never used any. I also had a LG refrigerator that was a lemon and it stopped working after about a year and a half, and the dealer was really difficult to work with. But every call that I made to Viking so far has been answered right away and they’ve been very helpful. I called them once to get the correct model numbers for the product registration and then I also did two follow-up calls to the parts department because my 1-year old slammed into the freezer and dented it. So, I had to order the freezer door. And it was really easy to do. I would highly recommend them.

I have some friends that own Viking appliances in their home and they have gourmet kitchens. When I’m over there, sometimes they extend their kitchen to me and it’s beautiful. We love to cook. When we have other visitors that come in, they utilize our kitchen, so I want the best stuff. We have not had the full experience with our Viking range, but so far the stove top is awesome. I also used the broiler for some great T-bone steaks. I like that it’s so spacious and easy to clean. I had one bad experience with their team at the dealer, but that was in-house and the general manager extended a conversation with us and took care of that. The only thing I wish I would’ve gotten was the wheels, but that would’ve made it a little different configuration. Other than that, it’s perfect.

I know about kitchen brands since we have a restaurant, and though Wolf is my favorite, I went with a Viking range for its size. I like the Wolf way better. I like the way the Wolf looks more commercial. Vikings a little modern for my liking but I enjoy that it fits in our tiny condo and its a commercial range. However, it was installed crooked and its still crooked. It slopes, so the trays slide out when Im cooking. Its dangerous when Im cooking greasy items. I dont know if the guy that installed it is also the reason why it doesnt ignite properly or if its a Viking problem, but it explodes when I try to light it. I havent been able to use it for quite some time and Ive tried to get the guy out to fix it. Ive reached out to them a couple of times but he is a no-show and a no-callback. On the other hand, I called Wolf for my Sub-Zero at the same time I called Viking, and the Wolf guys were on it.

The refrigerator (DFRB304L) was leaving a puddle on the floor in front. The repairman was clueless. Luckily, my son is an engineer and he took all the shelves out and took the inside back off in order to find the poorly engineered problem and caulk it. His repair worked. Also, the clear parts of the drawers all cracked. This is obviously a quality control problem, but when I contacted them, their response was that the refrigerator was out of warranty. At that time, it was only just. I really thought that a company like that would stand behind its products, but my eyes have been opened! They clearly dont care if you never buy another appliance from them.

We heard it’s a good stove, good company so we bought a Viking. I like the stove. The only problem is if I go close to the stove the knobs turn a little bit, and I don’t wanna lose gas. But this is the only one problem I got. The rest is good. I like the way the oven cooks. And every time I need customer service they come. They adjust stuff. Like the last time the extra piece in the back was too loose, and they tried to make it nice and strong. They put an extra screw. I got good service. I’ve been very pleased with them. I can’t have better service than what I have. The refrigerator has also been pretty nice. I got the microwave, the refrigerator and the stove.

The stove has been nothing but a headache. This oven worked for literally 5 months then stopped working. We attempted to fix it with experienced repair men but after changing the spark module and the ignitor, still nothing. What the heck have you manufactured Viking. For $5500.00 all we have at the moment is a hunk of metal with a $660 repair cost to boot to the original cost. Thanks for taking my money out of the bank and tossing it in the garbage. Viking 6-burner Gas Range - Viking authorized repairman has been out twice
Viking 6-burner Gas Range - Viking authorized repairman has been out twice for my 6-year-old Viking, each time to replace all ignitors and the seal around the door glass. This is extremely expensive and unbelievable that a commercial range cannot take a daily 20-minute usage of the broiler without wearing out in 3 years time. The excuse I was given was that most people dont broil and their stoves last much longer; and that they mostly go out to dinner. What kind of bologna is this? I wouldnt mind repairing it every 3 years because it really does cook food very well when it is working, but the last time I had it repaired, which was a week ago, it cost me about $800 and I expect it will be even higher in the next 3 years! Isnt there a way for all of us to do a class action lawsuit against Viking? Please let me know if this is in the works because there are so many of us with the same story.

One of my friends bought a house that had a Viking Range and I was out of a range for three months because I couldn’t find anything I wanted, so I researched Viking. The people that installed the stove was fantastic and it’s a rarity now to find that anywhere. They were Justin and John and it was called Bald Eagle Delivery & Home Service. They were a father-son team and they were incredible. They worked together very well. I live up in the mountains of Colorado and I can’t get anybody out here to do anything. I got the stoves that are 410 pounds, the smallest one, and they took their time, installed it correctly and showed us how to use it. The overall experience was amazing. As opposed to going to Sears, Lowe’s and Home Depot, I won’t go to any other place but Mountain High Appliance in Colorado Springs because the service was good. We’ve had four ranges in the 20 years that we’ve lived in this house and they keep going out. My husband did not want me to get a Viking Range because of the expense, but I told him that I was getting it. The roll-out trays inside the oven are great. I love the cooking experience, having a propane range and the fact that the oven is electric. I got the dual range and I just cooked the most beautiful rhubarb strawberry pie yesterday. It was wonderful. I love Viking Ranges.

I bought a new home and Viking came with it. I like that the appliance cooks well. To be honest though, I haven’t had the best experiences. We’ve had to have some repairs for every appliance since I’ve lived here in one year of owning brand-new products. So I’m not exceptionally thrilled. I have a fridge, a stovetop and a microwave. There was some build-up of ice in the freezer. The most aggravating part is that I sit and wait for installers all day long. Then, they do it over and over and over, so it doesn’t sit very well. I had three times they had to come out for the freezer and the stovetop. Twice they had to come out for the microwave. But at this moment, everything is working fine.

I purchased my brand new Viking stove on May 30, 2018. It is now August 21 and I still have not been able to use my oven. The first day we put the food in the oven it was making a loud motor like sound. I immediately called Viking and they told me they will have a service repair come to my house to see what the problem was. Their service only comes every 2 weeks so I waited for them to come then waited another 2 weeks for the part to arrive. By the time they actually came which was 3 hours later than the scheduled time the repairman wasn’t able to install it. He said he would come back the following week so again I waited for my next appointment all day long for no one to show up. Finally the following week they came back and installed a new fan and 2 days later it’s making the same noise again. I spoke to Viking customer service plenty of times and they said this was my only option. I have left messages for someone with higher authority to call me and they never call. I am so disgusted at this point and I still have a stove that doesn’t work. I am shocked with their customer care. I would never ever recommend a Viking to anyone.

I have had my Viking built in side by side for one year -- I chose Viking thinking it was a quality product. It is NOT -- the items on the top shelf the refrigerator ice up, the items in the freezer frost up and at six months a new part had to be installed in the freezer compressor. It was defective and froze the whole compressed up -- we had to move everything to a cheap Kenmore freezer which has worked for years to keep until the part came in and the repair was made. Now 3 months later it is doing the same thing. This is either a defective unit or Viking is making junk and charging a lot for it. Next step for us is to demand a replacement for this side by side and if they wont do that we will sue for a refund! Sad that this brand has become junk!

We bought Viking Professional which we thought would have been their best of the best and we’ve not been happy with it. I was really excited about the purchase and it’s been a disappointment. With the first fridge we had, water was pooling. We had three different service guys out, the last one being a Viking service person who couldn’t figure it out. They ended up replacing it, and with the fridge that they replaced it with, the door is not aligned correctly. We’ve had two people out to try to fix that and that has been unsuccessful. After three service calls, a fridge replacement and two additional service calls, six different times I’ve spent the day in the house waiting, we’re done. My family moved into a new home with nice-looking Viking appliances in the kitchen. We only experienced minor malfunction of the refrigerator in the 1st year. After 14 months, or about 7 weeks ago, the range knob that controls the range fan motor stopped working, and I contacted Viking warranty service a week later. A local authorized repair shop was quickly assigned the job and they determined they have to replace the knob, and they need to order it through Viking for that, in order to comply with Viking warranty policy. And I was told to wait about 3-4 days.A week later, I called the repair shop only to find out the knob is on back order, and I need to wait 2 more weeks. And 2 weeks later, it was still not invoiced through Viking parts, and now 6 weeks later, the range is still not repaired!!! And the shop has no idea/no control over when the part will come in. They also told me in one case, a customer had to wait a year and 2 months for some parts to come in! It had been very frustrating not having a working range in the kitchen! It is even more so to think Viking warranty service is so lousy and unreliable! I am so disappointed how long I have to wait (so far) for warranty service for a common appliance! Generally, the customer reviews for Viking Range were decent. We had narrowed it down to Bosch and Viking when we went to the appliance dealer and talked to the rep about it to make our final decision. The experience with the Viking dealer was very pleasant. After reading some of the reviews, I guess Ive gotten off easy with my fully Viking stocked kitchen, but nevertheless I feel compelled to add to the pile of one star ratings. Granted my Viking appliances are 10 years old, but having had GE and KitchenAid appliances, which last 20 years, my expectations are that if Viking is going to charge THAT much money for an oven, or a dishwasher, then itll last even longer than the other brands. We had a years worth of trouble with our oven burning everything before it finally exploded (literally). After 2 months Viking finally sent the right part. Oh, but they told the repairman to bend the piece to make it fit; even the repair man was incredulous. Now we have been waiting 4 weeks for a part for our dishwasher. I called the day it was due in (today), and nope, not ready. Itll be another 2-3 weeks. Its back ordered. Who is making these parts? Elves that work only by the light of the moon?! Viking: Figure this out. Figure out how to make better appliances (Many, many of your competitors have already figured this out. Its not rocket science). And then, figure out how to get your parts faster. Your turnaround time takes me back to the 1860s. Its absurd. Thankfully we didnt buy these appliances, the previous owners did. But I cannot wait to replace them. My plan is to take all 4 Viking appliances to Burning Man and set them on fire.

How can it be? We thought made in America, we would get great quality. What a disappointment. The kitchen was remodeled 5 years ago. This past month, we had problems with both Viking products, the Viking range VGIC3676BS and the refrigerator. We are now out of Viking warranty. The NSI insurance for these products is a nightmare to deal with - a waste of money. They give you the runaround. The Viking range oven just stopped working, we think it is the igniter. It does not matter that when you call Mississippi, they speak to you with their Southern charm, you still have an expensive appliance that simply does not work! No one cares, not at all, because it is not happening to them! The fact that we bought expensive products does not matter in todays world. Anyone recalls the days when we had an oven that lasted 30 years? We are so disgusted with Viking. We regret spending the money for something that obviously was made with planned obsolescence in mind. Wish there was a way we could warn people about this company. I would like to put signs on retailer stores, buyer beware.

Were from Mississippi, and supporting a local company seems like a good thing to do. We bought our Viking range from Southern Pipe and the sales team seemed to really know their stuff. My wife had a ton of questions for them and weve had good answers. They seemed to have dealt with those questions before or the saleslady might even own one, so she was able to speak about personal experiences too. We like all the features that came with the range and it has been really good. We havent had a gas stove before, so the fact that everything heats up really quickly is awesome to us. Plus it looks really good in our kitchen. We bought it back in the fall, but only got it installed in February, so were still sort of in a trial period of using it. It still feels pretty new, but everything weve thrown at it so far, its done exceptionally. Its the best stove Ive ever owned.

I have a Wolf grill and a Heartland stove. I have very high-end appliances in my home and the Viking fridge is a dog. When the reps brought it out here, they scratched my floor. Then, the door handles had a dent in them, which took six weeks to get fixed. Aside from that, the ice maker wasnt working and when they came out, they told us the motherboard was fried. It was a brand-new $11,000 refrigerator and the motherboard was fried. And the repairman said that happens a lot. So, Im not happy with it. I had a Sub-Zero for 21 years and it never gave me a problem. Viking has been nothing but problems. Its loud and when the motor goes on, I hear it.

The team at the Viking dealer was helpful and cooperative. Everything went down smoothly. I have a Viking freezer and a refrigerator and I haven’t been really pleased with either one of them. Ive had the refrigerator for eight years and it was the refrigerator of the home that I built. The problem Im having now is the coolant and there was some defrosting in it. The technicians had replaced it and tore this thing apart, but Viking sent them a defective part. When the technicians found out about it, they had already drained all the stuff out of the refrigerator and started putting it back together. The refrigerator has been down for a week now. We’ve been looking for parts for three months and it’s just not been a good thing. The refrigerator door doesn’t close right and the guy was trying to work on that too. The freezer seal has always been an issue as far as the white trim and we’ve replaced that a couple times. The refrigerator itself is fine, but as far as the room goes and the expenses, I’ve had a lot of difficulty with it and the freezer. Ive had the ice maker repaired and its been a terrible experience. I don’t think I’d buy another Viking. If someone asks me about them, Id tell them not to get a Viking.

Have full Viking kitchen - dual-fuel range, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. Difficulty in obtaining parts in Ireland, and would never, ever recommend Viking - anything - to anyone. All have had problems, but none more so, from day one, the range. Markers on dials rubbed off after months. Oven door has never fit flush and hinges squeaked/squealed whenever opened or closed. Often, could not open door parallel to floor. Finally replaced both door hinges - at astronomical customs charges for delivery from USA - only to find that self-clean function now not working. Self-clean circuit board described, variously, as no longer available to obsolete, do not have to maybe were getting new manufacturer but dont know how or when to sorry, no substitute recommended.Have begun shopping new/used parts, incl eBay, world-wide, spending hours of time without success. Have fabulously expensive oven that is filthy. In addition, weve had to replace 3 ignitors, our repairman discovered that instructions for wiring were actually reversed from positions described in manual (EU compromises?) and any part that costs US$100 direct from USA seemingly soars to more than 4 times that price once it reaches Ireland and our local recommended Viking supplier. Never, ever again. I so wish Id found this site earlier.

We bought a Viking Refrigerator on 20th of September. And then, we heard some grinding noise from the compressor. We had a previous refrigerator that failed and it’s giving the same sound. Also, when we got the refrigerator, there was a ding on the top of the door and the people who sold it to us said they’re going to get a replacement door and a replacement shelf that was cracked inside the door. They haven’t done anything yet, and it’s a little bit frustrating spending $3,500 on a refrigerator and then you have to deal with the people who sold it to us, who said they will just bring another one. They didnt even adjust the doors, so the doors arent realigned. In October, I called the main Viking office because I wasn’t getting anywhere with the local dealer. However, it was super hectic during the holidays so I haven’t had time to call back Viking and find out what happened after they took all of our information. We’re supposedly going to send it to someone so they could call us because nothing came up in the system right away for our location. They had to search for someone to service it or come check the unit, and so I just wanted someone to come and replace it because even though we love the fridge, there are so many problems in just within two weeks of having it. Overall, I would definitely tell my friends not to buy from the people who we bought the fridge from. And while the lady that I spoke to from Vikings was helpful, there were no follow-ups once she referred it to whatever area she referred it to.

Oven was purchased 2013, we had to move out of the house for a year after purchasing the range. Now Viking tells us we need a new motherboard to the tune of $657.00. Really? We can buy a different stove for that much. The oven goes on broil no matter what you set the oven on and the circulating fan runs even when the oven is off. I bought a $12,000 built-in Viking fridge from an online store (AJ Madison). It was discounted. It was supposed to have a scratch on the side, but it had a dent in the front. I bought an extended warranty. I bought it for a home in Florida that I rent out weekly. I vacation down there a few times a year. The first time I went down there, I noticed that the fridge temperature would spike up to 61 degrees. This was May of 2021. I called Viking and they sent a repairman out (Mr. Appliance). He said it was working perfectly. Then the renters started demanding money back for food that spoiled. Mr. Appliance came out again and said it was working perfectly. I went down there again, and the temperature would go up to 61 degrees and the food would spoil. At this point Viking told me they had to send a repairman out 3 times to deem it unrepairable. Mr. Appliance came out a third time and again said it was working perfectly. Now Viking said they would not take care of it, because I “accepted a broken refrigerator.“ Mr. Appliance came out again, put in a probe that showed that the temp went up to 61 degrees for 4 hours. He actually interpreted this as working perfectly. Viking got the temperature graph showing sustained temperatures at 61 degrees for 4 hours and claimed it was working fine. Viking refused to deem the refrigerator unrepairable. I got nowhere with Mr. Appliance, Viking or with the extended warranty people (New Leaf). Nine months later, I finally bought a working refrigerator from Home Depot. Nine months later, AJ Madison says they will give me a refund if Viking deems it unrepairable, which they will not. I am negotiating for a partial refund with AJ Madison now with new difficulties.

I chose Viking for its reputation but my range doesnt work. It just clicks away. It won’t simmer and it can’t light the oven. I have to put it on broiler first. Viking sent somebody to fix it, but they never fixed it. It was temporarily fixed. Now, it’s broken again. It’s only a couple months old. So we contacted the appliance store that we purchased it from and they also put another service ticket. However, it was not a good time and I didn’t want anybody in the house when they called. So now, I need somebody to get out here and fix my stove. It’s a lovely cooking apparatus but it has to work better than this.

We got the built-in refrigerator and its not as deep as a regular refrigerator, which we like because things dont get lost in the back of it, but its taller. We like the door, the freezer section in the bottom, and the way that the drawers are self-closing. We can arrange them to where we have a place at the bottom that we can put platters into or a pizza box or whatever we want to. We also like the fact that everything was made out of metal. Aside from the refrigerator, we also got the French door double oven, the six burner cooktop with the griddle and thee optional griddle, the vent hood, two warming drawers, and a microwave, from Viking. We love the quality of our Viking appliances and we would recommend them highly.

My friends introduced me to Viking Refrigerators and we specifically bought this brand because we heard how good they were, but now I feel that their customer service is terrible. Ive only had my refrigerator for not even a year and it broke four times now and it has taken at least two to three weeks to get it fixed every single time. Nobody at the Viking dealer would pick up the phone, so it was hard to get in touch with somebody. When I finally do, the only way somebody would call me back is if I was rude and talked to the manager at the place that I called. It was a horrible experience. I couldnt be more upset about it. I had a Viking at my previous home. I just like their product and the commercial aspect of it. The first one I had was the open burner kind of thing and all steel. With the new range, I like the way it cooks and the little LED light thing thats underneath that you can actually see the knobs that illuminate it. Compared to the old range I had that had a softer side and could easily be scratched at the back, this new one has a softer cushion and it doesnt mark like the first. The only shortcoming was my experience with the Viking dealer. I like the range and if I had just gotten it from someone else, it would have been a whole lot better. Everything did not happen like it was supposed to. The salesperson neglected to schedule the installers so I had appliances sitting in my kitchen for three days uninstalled. I went to that store so many times prior to them doing the delivery because I had such a bad feeling it wasn’t going to go right and I was right. But theyre the only game in town and I was trying to buy local instead of ordering it on the internet.

I was in real estate for some time. I’m into remodeling and I love interior design, so I’m aware of Viking Refrigeration. We just redid our entire kitchen and put all new Viking appliances, everything from oven to a huge cooktop to the refrigerator, downdraft, the dishwasher, and I am not overly pleased with the refrigerator. I called Viking directly and they sent somebody out and repaired a couple of the things that were wrong with the refrigerator. But the main problem that I still have, which is something that I need to make another phone call on, is the ice maker. The refrigerator is a French door with an under mount freezer and when I pull open the freezer door, the little metal handle that comes down to regulate when the ice maker is on and off almost rakes the ice. And so, it all falls out through the back of the freezer. I have to literally army crawl and break my arm to get my hands at the back to clear out the ice that’s fallen at the back on the floor of the freezer or else the freezer door does not close properly. I wonder how many tens of thousands of dollars did I spend on all those appliances. I should have gone back to my GE Profile. I’ve been really disappointed.

We bought a Viking stove, hood/microwave, and dishwasher when we remodeled for our dream kitchen. Each appliance has had problems. First the bottom of the utensil basket disintegrated. It was flimsy and brittle after a few months of use. Brand specific replacement, $70 from our local appliance store. Fewer than 20 months later the control panel on top acted up. The appliance repair person said it would be at least 6 weeks to get a replacement part, if it was even available. It would cost, with installation, over $300. The stove has had several problems, the microwave/hood has problems. None of this was covered under any warranty. For a low end product the performance would be poor. Because its expensive, wed say it was abysmal.

The elements usually burn out affecting same circuit. One large and one small burner share but our small burners work.I would never buy another and suggest you DO NOT either. We liked the Viking brand name and the look of their products. So, we redid our whole kitchen with all Viking and got their products through a dealer. Our Viking range is good and powerful but it is so much stronger than what I was used to, so I burned a pot early on. That has been a learning curve for me and I dont know if that’s in the materials because it’s sort of overwhelming when you get all new appliances and unpack from a renovation. That might be my fault but that could be somehow highlighted for other people. Also, there was a problem with the ranges starter from the beginning so I had to have that repaired. One of the grate panels rusted, too and it was replaced. But the black on the replacement is a little different though and it doesn’t match the others if you look at it. Plus, a little piece fell off of one of the grates and I still have to glue it. I paid for it and Viking was supposed to send us two pieces of that but they sent only one. I also find it difficult to clean or get stuff off the stove top, although I try to not worry about it as much. That has been a bit of a learning curve as well. I have purchased 2 Viking wall ovens within the past 12 years, one at a discounted rate because my first purchase with them only lasted five years with many, many repairs in between. First of all their hinges on the door break very easily, the door to the oven is very heavy and can withstand constant use. Once the hinges break, the oven door cannot seal properly and therefore the oven will not run. The broiler coils burn out very fast. The oven cooks well over temperature, so you can trust the exact temperatures. The lettering on the wall peels off very quickly. I did not use any chemicals on it and I always used a soft rag with water to try and clean it. The stove top I purchased as well and that is also in bad shape. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

My parents had Vikings and I initially had a Thermador range. I had to cycle through four Thermador ranges in a year and I decided to switch to Viking because I knew it would be more reliable even though it didn’t have all the features that I wanted. It’s quality is good and solid. I like the burners, which put out a high BTU.

I have known about Viking Ranges growing up. Seeing them in houses, I’ve been really impressed with how they look. I’ve always wanted a Viking range and I did not know they also had a free-standing fridge that was huge. But, the free dishwasher was the main thing as to why I went with them over other companies. The Viking guy had to come up because we are at a different elevation, so he had to do something. When you turn it on underneath, it takes a little while to light up and I didn’t even notice that but he noticed it. Nevertheless, it looks beautiful and everything that we’ve put in it has been awesome so far. Also, the rep I dealt with was great. I knew what I wanted so she didn’t have to do too much. However, as soon as the first range was delivered, it was all banged up. The lady had it exchanged out within a week and really helped me out with those little things.

My fridge door fell off and nearly hit my two-year-old son; he was about two feet away. The door is heavy, probably 150 lbs, so it probably would have killed him. Whats worse is when I discovered there had been a recall, I found out that this is the new improved model where they supposedly fixed the door problem! I contacted the company and over a month later, we are still waiting to receive a new refrigerator. The door also put a big divot in the kitchen floor but we are just happy that it missed our son.

I went with the Viking refrigerator over a competitor because of its appearance. It is heavy and solid and because of that, some of the parts might have shifted during shipping. They needed quite a bit of adjustment at the beginning when its installed. The doors didnt shut well. But whats good about Viking is that they send people who handle their services well and they know how to deal with it. It is a process. But once its settled in, its all very good. Overall, it is an expensive set of products and the quality is great. But for the price I paid, it could be better.

We had a lot of small hiccups because of COVID and because of the supply chain issues. Initially, we purchased our Viking stove through Best Buy. But it kept getting pushed out and I wanted to get our kitchen up and running. So, I ended up finding a floor model out of Stockton, that had the piece in stock. It had some scratches on it but they were very minor and they guaranteed a six-month warranty. They delivered it and got it in service. The Viking is simple to use and theres not a lot of electronics on it which is nice compared to Thermador and other high-end brands. I went with the one with an open range and even though its rated at 15,000 BTUs, its probably more because its open. Youre getting the airflow better, so its actually heating it up better. So far, I love it. Its easy to start. The one thing I dislike is if you take off any of the igniters to clean, they get a little bit on the porcelain and I have to readjust them in order for the igniters to ignite sometime. The other issue Ive had is that it has to kick on numerous times to get the igniter to ignite. So, every once in a while, itd have a little gas smell. I talked with the retailer that I bought it from about it, and they were gonna fix that. But my father-in-law whos familiar with Viking stove, he’s like, “Yeah. I’ll show you. It’s just this.” We ended up just moving the igniter a little bit. And then it took off, and no questions asked. Also, Im not sure if the convection part is working properly because it makes a little rattle from time to time. Otherwise, the Viking has been reliable.

In the past 9 years we have experienced 4 ice make repairs/replacements, a refrigerator door recall, and a motherboard replacement in our Viking Built-in bottom refrigerator. Now it is making this loud humming noise. The repairman said it is the fan drying up the moisture and there is nothing to be done about it. It is so loud that people think a car alarm is going off. I say, No, its just my refrigerator. We just keep purchasing extended warranties. Oh, did I mention that the motherboard of my electric oven went out just before the holidays, and the microwave had to be replaced after 5 year. I want a new refrigerator but my kitchen is all Viking and I refuse to buy another Viking product.

I have a Viking range with two different ovens and the ease of using each one, even the smallest one, was really good. But when the range came in, the small oven was not working that well and then it broke. And they knew that there was a defect with it because when I contacted the appliance service that I bought it from to say that it didnt heat at all, the guy said theyd have someone to contact me. And when they got in contact with me, the guy said that theyve ordered the parts already. It took six weeks until someone showed up to get it fixed. But now that it’s working again, it’s all good.

We went with Viking because it was highly recommended but the doors of the range we got were off and they would stick out to one side. The quality was horrible. They brought me another one and I told the guys to make sure that the unit is okay before they remove the one that I had. When they opened it, the guy said it’s worse than what I got. They took it back and brought me a different one. The one I ordered was a Series 5 and when the man came from Viking, he looked at them and said he was gonna move me up to a Series 7. It still had a little bit of a problem but their guys came and removed the bottom plate and kind of played with it. Now, it works perfectly. It took about a year until I finally got the one that I presently have. I had to go and buy an induction hotplate. Whoever is putting these things together, their quality control people are not doing a very good job. The range is wonderful but the experience was terrible. After paying so much money for a range and then have to deal with so much drama with it, I wouldn’t do it again. My son is building a new house and I told him to not get into a Viking stove.

We were looking for refrigerators when remodeling our kitchen, and I liked the inside of the Viking. I wish I hadnt picked Viking though. After 12 years, we had to replace the refrigerator. We have the double that are side by side, which was extremely expensive in replacing it. And now, its been double the price. So, I dont have good feelings about Viking. I would never buy it again. We paid to have it fixed once or twice, which was very expensive. I had found the quality to be very poor. There was something wrong with our freezer door, which the freezer mechanism has already been replaced as well at great expense. I complained immediately about the refrigerator when it was put in. It should have been replaced. The door was faulty. I was put through so many hoops. We finally gave up. That door should have been replaced from the beginning, and then we wouldnt have had this problem. They wanted to charge us $600 to come out to look at it before they even replaced it after we had already spent money and had it evaluated by somebody they approved of. They were charging us again. They should come and take both of the refrigerator and freezer out and replace them. Im very unimpressed. Im disappointed with Viking refrigerator and freezers.

I wish the Viking refrigerator had an icemaker on the door instead of a separate pullout drawer. But other than that, its good. All of the kitchen appliances are Viking and I had to have someone come out for my oven. I had to talk to them about that and the technician who came was nice. He had to order some parts and once they came in, he came back. I like that he assumed that he needed to wear a mask, which was nice, and he had a mask on. Outside of my oven going out one time, all of the Viking appliances have been good.

Im a hobby chef and I like the Viking we have in some vacation homes, the more expensive ones. And I love the old ones. 10 years old, 15 years old, or brand new. A Viking is a Viking. Im very happy with my Viking range. I have the 8-burner range with the dual oven, all-gas. But the broiler comes on and shuts off after three minutes. So, theyre gonna put a new one in to fix it. Other than that, it has convections, the lights, the temperature control, the small one and the big one, the lights and the knobs. I truly like everything about the range and I will not want anything else. Our Viking Dishwasher is my problem. It has been repaired four times now. They came out as soon as they could. They fixed it and then they had to come back, then they fixed it again. Either they are not very knowledgeable about the dishwasher or the dishwasher really has a serious problem. First, the mechanic was out two times for the lock. Then the dishwasher ran all night twice and the kitchen was really hot and then they put a new electric board, which was underneath the dishwasher. Now, every once in awhile, when I close the door and I want to put the program in, whether pot scrub or normal wash or what, it doesnt come on. You have to do it two or three times. Im not happy with it.

Ive always known about Viking Refrigerators for a long time and it was in the house that we purchased. There was a Viking Range, a Viking refrigerator, and a stove then. I was replacing an existing Viking refrigerator that was about 17 or 18 years old. It was built-in so I was looking for something that would fit into the exact space where it was. And when I went to the appliance store, the salesperson at the appliance store steered me to Viking. I was buying a refrigerator and a dryer that day and he showed me something else but he strongly suggested the Viking and since I didn’t have any negative feelings about Viking, I went with it. This refrigerator will be the third refrigerator and the first one kept having problems. It would freeze up and the icemaker wouldn’t work. The refrigerator section would heat up to about 43 degrees and the freezer would get down incredibly cold. I had six service calls on it and finally, the service guy said, “I think we need to get this thing replaced.” So Viking replaced it after several weeks and sent a new one out to Asien’s Appliance here in Santa Rosa and they delivered it. However, the guys that delivered it couldn’t align the doors properly. The refrigerator section was about half inch or a bit lower. The door was lower than the freezer side so I called the people that handle the warranty repairs again and the guy came out and looked at it. He said that there was something wrong with it and maybe it was dropped. He couldn’t fix it and jury-rigged it so the door worked. For a while, the door wouldn’t even close but then he worked on it again and he got the door to close by taking some part out. I got word that Viking set up a delivery of a replacement for that one. This will be the third one and hopefully, it will be okay. I wouldn’t recommend them to a friend but at least Viking is faithfully standing by their warranty.

Viking is a valuable brand and it conveys quality. Purchasing our range was super easy. We looked at a lot of local, brick-and-mortar stores here, but no one carried it. They werent carrying a lot of different things because of inventory issues with COVID. So, we ended up ordering it online through a website called Appliances Connection. We got it within six weeks. So, it was great. Install was seamless. Im pretty happy with the rebate. As far as the range itself, I like that the knob lights up and that I can change the colors on it. I like also the bronze gold colored burners. What I dont like about it is you cant keep the bronze gold color burners looking new. Theyre already discolored. So, thats frustrating. Also, in the oven, its hard to tell when its at temperature, as well as theres no broil setting, which is strange. Ive never had another without broil setting on it.

Overall experience is very positive. Viking Range delivered and installed in satisfactory order. Range is working very well. Product meets the expectations. Two comments: The roasting pan was not included with the range. Had to call Viking Direct and order from Parts Dept. Evidently, the dealer said that I was not the only customer who did not receive the roasting pan. VIKING should ensure that roasting pans are included with the stove when delivered. One of the burners does not fire up as well as the other. Will need to call the dealer for service. Overall - happy to have made the purchase.

We bought it from an outlet store where they receive overstock, stuff that people ordered and didn’t like it or something that had been discontinued. Our refrigerator is very convenient, large, and has good quality. The only thing I dont like about it is that adjusting the temperature, which is two little controls up on the top, is not very clear and it doesnt read out the exact temperature, just has these little bars. So, it takes a lot of time to figure out how to use it, how to set it, and get it to the right temperatures. At the very bottom, it freezes up and the water gets into the drain in the back on the bottom and we once had to thaw it out ourselves. Another time, we had to call a repair person cause there was no way for us to do it. If only they have as many other refrigerators have where you set the temperature and it shows you what its set for and what its actually reading, and I would make sure that they have improved the heating unit that would prevent the drain in the freezer from freezing.

Ive been very familiar with Viking for many years but Im very unhappy with their service, and the service who I bought the Viking from. I knew it was a floor model at the showroom and they told me that it had been out there for less than a year and had never been used, and it was like new and would have the full warranty. But several pieces broke within 24 hours of me getting this $10,000 refrigerator. It keeps things cold but all of the door inserts, such as the shelves in the door, all were broken. When I called Viking, they said that this was a five-year old model. It had been sitting on the showroom for that long, which was never disclosed and they wont cover anything. It was a very disappointing experience and makes me want to avoid using Viking. It’s a nice refrigerator. Unfortunately, they are selling it through dealers that dont understand their process and theyre not standing behind it and not willing to stand up to their dealer. So, its not a company I would want to do business with again.

We were replacing a refrigerator that was a certain size and Viking was the only thing we could find that would fit without having to redo my cabinet. There was a line or a seam that was in the door panel when it first arrived but it has already been replaced. The ice maker is terrible. Its a very rickety metal bar, whether you put it into on or off mode. I was so afraid to move it because it looks like its gonna break because it doesnt look like something that would be your on/off. It doesnt keep making ice until its full and it barely makes any ice. Everything in my freezer has an icy snowy look on it and anything you put on the top shelf on the left side of the refrigerator freezes. So, we just put a set of water bottles up along the left-hand side of the refrigerator and the top shelf. Weve had it for five weeks or so now because I kept thinking that there was something set wrong. The repair guy thought it could be the steel gasket that goes around the door that suctions on when you shut your refrigerator door. He put a new one on to make me feel better because the only way that I could have frostbite on my stuff is if some air was getting in there. So, theres a whole brand-new gasket installed on that that has nothing to do with it.I reached out to Viking through Friedman’s which was where we bought the refrigerator. Im trying to make the lady who I bought this from figure this out. She got whoever to come and address whatever issues that Ive had so far but the thing with the freezer hasnt gotten any better. They just said it was fine but it’s not. Everythings not being frozen at the right temperature. This refrigerator was the price of a car and its terrible. Its over $14,000 so, I am as unhappy as can be. I cant even believe a refrigerator costs that much in the first place. Then, to think that weve barely had it and its already like this, whats it gonna be like in a year from now. Refrigerators should last 15 years. I had the one that we had before for 14 years. I had it from the time we built our house. In the purchase of getting this Viking refrigerator, I was excited because they said that it was gonna come with a free dishwasher. The dishwasher is even worse than the refrigerator. Its so bad. I dont put things in there with gobs of food on them, but you have to wash them perfectly before you even put them in the dishwasher, because it doesnt get anything clean. Both of them are terrible and Im so regretful. Between the dishwasher and the refrigerator, this Executive Appliance, who Viking uses to service issues when you first buy something have already been here four times. So, I dont know what else to do.

The ignitors for the gas range did not work when the stove was installed in 2007. They were replaced under warranty. Four years later, the spark module has failed again. We purchased an expensive D3 series Viking oven thinking that paying a LOT more (than ie a Samsung or Kitchen Aid) will offer us a lot better product. WRONG!!Yesterday midnight we heard a loud noise in the kitchen. Short story we went to the kitchen and found the décor front oven black glass on the floor shattered in a thousand tiny pieces (the oven was off!). We babied this oven and it has low use!! I mean we babied it like our own eyes!!I called several places that carry Viking authorized parts to replace the glass at my expense (even though I am most sure this was a defect on the glass that on the long run stressed out) and I was SHOCKED to hear that this is a special order that the factory no longer makes. SO I am now stuck with an originally $4,000+ boat anchor that we cannot use due to the fact that Viking, supposedly a very high end American manufacturer decided not to sell replacement parts anymore. I have had several other ovens during the course of my life. MUCH lower priced i.e Samsung that NEVER - EVER had an issue getting service, replacement parts and certainly not a single one had a glass explode on its own. This is TOTAL GARBAGE - stay away from this manufacturer and buy other appliances. UNHEARD OF!!!

My Viking dishwasher is terrible, but my oven has been great. It has been perfect and I love it. I like the looks of it too. I can set most of the pots and pans on there without them being crowded. Its sturdy and Ive really enjoyed it. I don’t necessarily know how to clean out the vented area and that’s the depressing stuff that I don’t like about it. On the other hand, my dishwasher is like an expensive drying rack and Viking doesn’t know when theyre going to get the parts to me. I would love it if it works just like the oven did. Our countertops are being replaced, so I have nowhere to wash dishes right now. The other thing is when I tried to register my appliances online. It was just really weird.
