The Viking refrigerator is good. It told me when there was a power failure and that was cool. It said, Power, when I opened it up. Something was also flashing on the screen. The capacity is good, too.

We went out and looked at a lot of different specialty shops and we were looking for high-end appliances. We came to really enjoy and like the way the Viking refrigerator looked and we decided to purchase one. The quality seems fantastic. Weve had one little bump in the road where it wasnt defrosting properly in the freezer and they sent a tech out. Not only was the guy very knowledgeable, but more impressive than anything was that he had the broken parts on his truck. 9 out of 10 times when we ever have somebody come out to fix any appliance, its always a miracle, no matter what breaks, they never have it on the truck. So this guy knew exactly what he was doing and he was effective. He was in and out in 45 minutes. But I didnt realize until we got the refrigerator home and the wife and I looked at it that it wasnt quite as deep as we thought it was going to be when we saw it on the showroom, from a standpoint of inside the refrigerator. But maybe they have one of the deeper models. Other than that, its a beautiful piece of almost like furniture, especially the lighting inside of it, which is fantastic. And its easy access for everything, so nothing but praise to the unit so far. I have also many times recommended Viking to a friend.

I’ve known of the Viking brand off and on for years. We were getting ready to renovate our kitchen and I like Vikings brand reputation. Plus there was a really good package deal that the store offered, in which we would get either a microwave or a dishwasher for free. The reps at this store were also knowledgeable overall and very accommodating. We’ve only had the range installed and working for about two and a half weeks and we really love it so far. It’s fast and very powerful. If you can afford Viking and are considering it, you should definitely get it.

My wife is a good cook and she wanted to make sure that she had something that was good for baking that has a good stovetop on it. We decided to get a Viking range based on its resale value - I know a lot of homeowners who are looking at a kitchen recognize the Viking brand. We bought our unit online and it was delivered after a few days. The range is a great purchase and it is a nice addition to the kitchen. Its really dependable, cooks well, and its overall aesthetic is really pleasing. It has PowerPlus so we could boil water quickly and the griddle works really well as well. The ability to be able to cook two different things in the oven has also been a big plus, especially for Thanksgiving.

I have a 60 professional quality Viking freestanding oven & range. Its never worked correctly - the oven fails with one or two uses, and this started within 24 months of original installation. Ive spent over $1,500 on repairs (Viking said it wasnt under warranty, though the warranty clearly states THREE YEARS) and it still doesnt work. The Viking authorized repairman told us this week Viking is not willing to take responsibility for their product and theyve suggested you have the oven wiring replaced at your cost....I am so frustrated with Vikings treatment of our customers that Im considering not working for them any longer. This is what I get for $9,000?

The techs came in and had to replace the whole shelf because they noticed that it wasn’t glued in from the factory. It came apart. The middle shelf that we had to have repaired that had the deli drawers in it isnt stable enough to put heavy items on it. And there is no other place to put heavy items on it. There should have been a middle bracket in the middle to support it against the back of the refrigerator. The new half freezer and half refrigerator is something new to me. I feel like it’s small. But the product is fine.

I purchased a Viking range, refrigerator and dishwasher in 2012. Since then, I have had repairmen to replace leaking water in the back of the fridge, replace the front control panel for the range ($1000 and 3 months waiting period for part), and have had the repairman come 7 times for the dishwasher - which is still not working. He has told me that he doesnt know how to repair it - has tried replacing the sensor, drain pump, taken it all apart. When I try to phone the 1888 845 4641 number, I get music for 10 minutes then a message that no one is available to take my call. What do I do next?

The dealer, Mario, did an awesome job of telling us all the benefits. We ended up going with Viking because he said that they stood behind their product and he had never heard complaints from anyone. That was the bottom line where we ended up buying 30 some thousand dollars of equipment there from Best Buy. I bought an entire kitchen of Viking. We have a microwave, a wine cooler, the gas range and the hood. So, all we need is a ship now to be a complete Viking. The Viking refrigerator is good although some of the soft close drawers on the bottom of the refrigerator dont exactly soft close but Im not gonna go crazy over that as much as that thing cost us. I also had some issues with the icemaker but we got that resolved and it was more of a connection issue. We had some issues with our dishwasher and we had to have it replaced. Also, I’m disappointed that the French oven doors didnt seal correctly. But other than that, they look fine. Were working through the service folks that Viking recommended to us and right now, Im still waiting for those. But so far, Im very happy.

I wanted a good quality commercial-grade range that I could count on. I’ve been familiar with Viking for quite some time. The dealer we had was very professional. I had been to another dealer that was less than desirable to the point that I was almost insulted that they never even acknowledged that my wife and I were there. I researched and found the Athens Refrigeration. When we walked in the store, it was completely different. They were very patient and informative. They spent all the time that we needed and they would have spent more had I needed it.We bought an electric French door Viking oven and a range with the gas. We converted to gas when we made the change. We’re liking the gas more than the electric. We haven’t had our range long but so far I’m pleased with it. I also plan to visit the Viking store. I’ve been there before in Greenwood and the cooking school.

We bought the top-line Viking refrigerator as well as Viking oven and microwave through Best Buy, and Best Buy has been horrible. The communication around the third party that Best Buy uses for installation has all been really poor, and getting my appliances installed was the worst thing ever. First, the built-in $9,000-refrigerator was installed incorrectly. The installers failed to put a kickplate on the bottom of this refrigerator and they probably threw it away. So we had to have someone come out and that took a while. We’re easygoing people and we’re not that tough to deal with. However, I bought that refrigerator in early June and to this day, I dont have the kickplate yet, so that has been frustrating.Best Buy has a customer service troubleshooter that was assigned to us. That person was really nice but has been lousy on follow-up so we called and left messages. When I finally got a hold of Best Buy’s case manager, he said that Best Buy was told that the manufacturer did not have the kickplate in stock. So I told them that I was gonna call Viking, which I should have done early on. When I called, I spoke with their customer service person who was great and a really nice lady too. I asked her about the kickplate that is missing and she said they had them in stock, which was what I anticipated the whole time. We havent heard anything back yet, but a company is supposed to call us. Still, Viking is a premium brand and they have been responsive to us and the experience with them has been great.

We’ve had a lot of Viking products in our time but never a refrigerator. So, I thought it was a good brand and we’d give it a shot. Also, I liked the way it looked. Ive had the refrigerator for a couple of months and Im very happy with its quality. I like the new LED lights and the French doors. The refrigerator is beautiful and it works well. Our previous refrigerator was a Sub-Zero, and Viking has more cubic feet of space than the Sub-Zero. The interactions with the Viking reps were fine. We bought it at Best Buy and had a helpful sales clerk there. We happen to hit a sale which also helped out. They provided delivery service and that was seamless. The guys carried the refrigerator in and placed it on the floor. They hooked up the icemaker, pushed it back in the hole, turned it on, and away they went.

3 years ago my stove top exploded (a sealed burner unit) in my nannys face; singed her hair and eyebrows. Luckily the pot of boiling water did not go up in the air (the gas tubes held one side of the stove top in place). After repeated calls to the dealer, distributor and CEOs office I was told that since the unit was 2 months out of warranty it was not their problem. Amazing. Now I have 2 30 ovens that are about 7 y/o and they beep all day and night. However, they dont make (or repair) the electronics panel parts anymore. So again out of luck and need to pay $6,000 for the ovens to be replaced.Today I get the call that my $8,000 wine cooler, about 5 years old, needs new evaporators and it is $3 to 4,000 to repair. What a horrible company and product line. You pay full price for high end products and you get junk with a company that does not stand by its appliances. Stay far far away from Viking. I will gladly find the picture of the stove top if anyone wants to see.

When I went to a store in Chicago, the place had all different brands and competitors of Viking, but I was sold on Vikings reputation. The salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable of the Viking product and that made the experience very easy for me. Plus I had a deal going on at the time where I could buy a type of package that fit well because we were remodeling our kitchen. Theres been a couple of little issues, but when we have had them, theyre on top of it right away. The first issue was when the icemaker went out and the second one is that the door on the range is screwy. I have a guy coming out today to service my range so the service has been great. Hopefully its not a big deal and its under warranty and everything is fixed and again, well be very happy with our purchase.

The builders put Viking in the brand-new house which Ive only had for over two and a half years now. And Ive had trouble with both my refrigerator and my stove. Although, I had Vikings before and the refrigeration was okay parts of it get really, really cold and even the bottom drawer actually freezes things. I was disappointed within a few months after we got it. The dairy product holders were both cracked and when you open the door, all the butter falls out. It took me a very long time to get it fixed because the dealer’s contractor was not responsive. I was informed that the warranty on that was only three months, which I thought was crazy on Viking since a Viking product is so expensive. It took me over a year to get that done and even spent the year leaving messages back and forth and got me assisted for it to be taken care of. I ended up just finding the manufacturer and ordering the part myself. I paid for $370 a piece which I thought wasnt right. I didn’t speak with a Viking customer service but I dealt with Ferguson which was the distributor that sold the Viking to the contractor. The experience was not okay. I had to get really mad and involve the contractor to get it done. The rep felt really bad once I called the contractor in and promised that would never happen again. So, I havent signed with Vikings again. I’ve heard another person in this neighborhood who has Vikings and had the same problem with her dairy product holder.

My battle with my Viking product began 8 yrs ago. We bought a new with new appliances. All Viking. Living 8 yrs with this refrigerator has been like living in the 1800s. We have had our ice maker break 3 times. Hinges break. But the biggest problem is the food staying fresh. Mainly because the only choice in cooling for this refrigerator is Lukewarm and rotten food or your eggs yogurt and all food frozen. I am writing this once again because I own a very expensive refrigerator and without and help this company has not recalled this lemon of a product. The frustration level is so bad I had to take to Facebook last time I sought out help for this problem. I then made friends with people in Vancouver Colorado and Brazil all whom had the same problems and the company took back their refrigerator. They sent me repair man and blocked me from their social media. But I still continue to have Massive problems with this refrigerator.Ice maker once again broken. Broken shelving and cooling problems begin to plague me once again. Imagine your danger comes home from college has surgery before the holidays and you take out the large tub of yogurt frozen solid. You like to drink cranberry juice frozen solid. Take something off a different shelf moldy. It is almost impossible to deal so I go buy a garage refrigerator to try to survive the holidays. I will never purchase a Viking product again and when Im in store I do walk up to complete strangers and tell them to run from this product. It saddens me because I would love to support a company made in the USA. I just would like a company to stand by this and make good.

My Viking stove is a nightmare. Firstly one of the gas hobs wouldn’t light properly. Although repaired by Viking it is still temperamental and flares up. But now my door won’t stay closed. The hinges are faulty! This stove is barely used as I travel much. They are less than 2 years old!!! Customer support was horrendous. Back orders for these parts means won’t deliver until sometime in November. Ordered on October 1. The cost is $568.79!!! Are they gold plated??? I did not chose these appliances for my new home. I will NEVER buy their products! This is only one repair company in my entire area that will service them. I wonder why???

I have purchased 2 Viking wall ovens within the past 12 years, one at a discounted rate because my first purchase with them only lasted five years with many, many repairs in between. First of all their hinges on the door break very easily, the door to the oven is very heavy and can withstand constant use. Once the hinges break, the oven door cannot seal properly and therefore the oven will not run. The broiler coils burn out very fast. The oven cooks well over temperature, so you can trust the exact temperatures. The lettering on the wall peels off very quickly. I did not use any chemicals on it and I always used a soft rag with water to try and clean it. The stove top I purchased as well and that is also in bad shape. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

Weve owned a couple of ranges in the past and Viking has generally had pretty good reviews and the price point was reasonable for the quality of the range. The dealer was definitely knowledgeable about the products and making recommendations and accommodating schedules. Overall, it was a good experience. We’re generally happy with the quality of the unit. The burners are what we like most about it and the speed of which things kinda heat up. But the one thing that we would want to see improve with is the oven. The temperature doesnt seem to be as consistent as we hope it would be.

We purchased a home with Viking appliances and in about four months that weve been here, the products were okay but I would not recommend them. The refrigerator is noisy, with a lot of clicking noises. We think it’s associated with the filtration system and when it makes ice. And it takes about between three and four days to fill the bin of ice. We tried to use some of the functions where it says excel ice where it leads the user to think that it speeds up the time of making ice. But it still takes three days to fill the little bin in there. But the Viking customer service has been extremely well and Im very, very happy with that aspect.

We went to a local appliance store and looked at a number of different brands and models. I did some research online. Ultimately, after the salesperson had described the aspects of each, we settled on the Viking. Viking has that kind of a household cache to it. It seemed to have a good track record. My wife is an interior designer so she has helped clients choose their appliances, and the feedback she has gotten has been positive too. We like the looks of the range and the burner configuration was to our liking. However, I wish it had a timer or a clock on it. We had to buy an auxiliary timer. Our previous stove had one and it was quite convenient. We had gotten used to that over the years so that was a bit inconvenient. Also, the dials are black on black, which makes it a bit tough to read. You have to get down low. If there was some contrast to the dials to make it easier to read, that would be an improvement. And the blower that cools the unit down is a bit annoying. It comes on a lot and lasts for quite a while. We had to make a service call because the igniter was not catching and it was spewing gas into the kitchen. We had to call the Fire Department the first time it happened. It happened over the Christmas vacation so repairmen weren’t open, and the one appliance repairman who services our entire county was backed up for three weeks. We had to live with that problem for three weeks and that was very frustrating. We did finally get the technician in, and he took the range all apart, moved the igniter closer to the gas outlet, and we haven’t had a problem with it since.

Ive always known about Viking Refrigerators for a long time and it was in the house that we purchased. There was a Viking Range, a Viking refrigerator, and a stove then. I was replacing an existing Viking refrigerator that was about 17 or 18 years old. It was built-in so I was looking for something that would fit into the exact space where it was. And when I went to the appliance store, the salesperson at the appliance store steered me to Viking. I was buying a refrigerator and a dryer that day and he showed me something else but he strongly suggested the Viking and since I didn’t have any negative feelings about Viking, I went with it. This refrigerator will be the third refrigerator and the first one kept having problems. It would freeze up and the icemaker wouldn’t work. The refrigerator section would heat up to about 43 degrees and the freezer would get down incredibly cold. I had six service calls on it and finally, the service guy said, “I think we need to get this thing replaced.” So Viking replaced it after several weeks and sent a new one out to Asien’s Appliance here in Santa Rosa and they delivered it. However, the guys that delivered it couldn’t align the doors properly. The refrigerator section was about half inch or a bit lower. The door was lower than the freezer side so I called the people that handle the warranty repairs again and the guy came out and looked at it. He said that there was something wrong with it and maybe it was dropped. He couldn’t fix it and jury-rigged it so the door worked. For a while, the door wouldn’t even close but then he worked on it again and he got the door to close by taking some part out. I got word that Viking set up a delivery of a replacement for that one. This will be the third one and hopefully, it will be okay. I wouldn’t recommend them to a friend but at least Viking is faithfully standing by their warranty.

I remodeled my house in 2009 and changed all my appliances to Viking Professional appliances. I was under the assumption that this is the best product available and moreover it is made in USA!!!! I came to find out this is the biggest and worst scam to rub people of their money with nothing but a heavy chunks of metal. I have had problem with my gas cook-top where I had it repaired 4 times. It kept clicking and the technician said the board was bad. Changing the board resolved it for a day and then he said the ignition parts are bad so he changed them. This started again so another company came and fixed it somehow and said the wiring was bad. After all this the cups around the burners changed color. Refrigerator does not dispense water and leaks in freezer and freezes all the time making it impossible to dispense ice and only way to get ice is to carve it because it is clumped together. Microwave oven does not heat as much as $150 microwave and has been corroding inside. Oven stopped working during Christmas time and took 6 months for them to figure out what was wrong with me being on the phone for hours with Viking executive offices. Vent unit has four settings which one has never worked. Viking does not take any responsibility for any of the problems you get. Standing behind their products is a news to them. I think their policy is sell, run and hide. I do have a Whirlpool Refrigerator that has spend most its life of 21 years in the garage with harsh temperatures but is still running like the first day. I would not buy and would discourage anyone that I care about to stay away from these products. I bought these items from Number 1 Appliance and they said these come with 10 years of warranty but each time I called the warranty company they told me that problem is not covered. I think they just warrant the heaviness of the product not its functionality.

Weve had our Viking refrigerator for eighteen years. In that time weve had three service calls and one recall. Now the unit needs a complete new cooling system costing thousands of dollars. Realizing that the unit was way out of warranty, I called customer service anyway to see if they would a least share part of the repair cost with me. They were adamant that they would not. When I purchased the unit I fully expected that it would outlast the less expensive brands. An independent repairman suggested that it would be worthwhile to forego repair and buy another refrigerator, not a Viking as he considers them as expensive junk. I guess cost does not equal quality.

I called Viking back a second time to see if there was somebody else and I was told it was just Top Notch for our service area. Then they called back a few days later and did a good job fixing it. Its just a matter of how long it took. Viking should have a backup company ‘cause the second time I called, the reference number was for the same small company. I asked the guy who came if he was the owner of the company. He said he was and his wife took calls. But Viking is a good range.

The oven that we bought from Viking took about eight months to ship and when it came, it was damaged. We had to wait another month and a half to fix one part, so it could be fully operational. So, I dont have a lot of confidence that the rest of the machine is going to last that long. The broiler specifically had to be rebuilt in our house. The microwave hasnt worked properly since installation and after three months, we finally got Viking to replace it instead of fixing it. Its nice having a high BTU range, which was what I was looking for, as a home chef. The oven seems to be working fine and the microwave has some good features if it would work. There should be open communication between the retailer and the Viking Middleby company. Im disappointed. If I had known now what we would have gone through, I probably would have chosen a different option. We were simply upgrading our kitchen and we had something that was working that we got rid of for this.

Viking is a great brand and has a good reputation. My parents had a Viking range when I was a kid and we just redo our kitchen so we got our own Viking range for its price and quality. We looked at discount places and priced out Viking ranges. We bought a model from last year and we like its BTU for the burners. The overall quality is good and we love it. Our favorite feature is the burners and we have five burners now that we’ve actually all been able to use.The sales guy at the Viking dealer was great and did no pressure. He has very high professionalism and knowledge for the product. He totally helped us out and then we looked and told him that we would look somewhere else and get another quote. It was no problem with him so we went and looked at another Viking range somewhere else. We realized that what we first saw was the one that we should have bought all along so we went right back and got it. Were very happy with our Viking range and it’s simply one of those things we’re going to have for a very long time.

I had a Viking in the home I purchased and based on the existing refrigerator I had, they offered me a discount to stay with them. The older refrigerator was not very good at all. The models that were manufactured between 2001 and 2007 were total crap. And they knew there were problems. The owners had significant repairs and costs. I had issues with the thermostat, compressor, evaporator, and hardware falling off. The evaporator was 1,500 bucks to replace and Ive done that twice. When it came down for replacement, Viking offered us a 40% discount to stay with them and give their product another chance. So far, Im very pleased with the new refrigerator. Their representatives were very helpful and I like the people from Middleby. Ive had a very good experience with Viking.

We owned a Viking in our previous home, and we are familiar with appliances, so we wanted to have a Viking suite in our new kitchen. We were the happiest with the double oven in our previous place. We had a different model, and the convection ovens were great. So that was our starting appliance, and then we just said that we’ll go with Viking. We thought about Sub-Zero and Wolf but we decided to go with Viking again. We like the size and the look of the refrigerator. In terms performance, everything is fine for now. I’m happy with the way it’s performing. I like the feature that you can control temperature in different compartments in the refrigerator, and there’s ample space in the freezer. The whole suite is the reason that we wanted to incorporate the refrigerator as well. But I would go with a different dealer next time.

We bought two dishwashers at the same time and the rep was really great. We just went back and bought our range from them. The refrigeration is good. Im not crazy about the drawer layout but it was the only one they had. The drawers aren’t deep enough for the vegetables and the fruits. They don’t have a lot of bottles to choose from. Also, they should have a water dispenser. Theyre not practically designed. But I don’t have to clean the coils and when you have four cats, it makes a difference that you don’t have to vacuum all those cat hair.

I called the person that takes care of the fridge and they told Viking that it pushes back. I had to have a man come twice and pull this forward. Im now having a contractor to come in and put a bar behind it. Its very hard for me to get into the refrigerator doors because its halfway locked in next to the oven. The freezer is lousy too and somehow makes a lot of ice.Im not so thrilled with the oven either. Its very expensive. I have stainless steel and its so hard to clean that up. The dishwasher is also complicated. Sometimes it goes on and sometimes it goes off. I called to find out what Im doing wrong and I had to push the button again. We have Viking range, oven, refrigerator and microwave but after spending money with a Viking refrigerator, were not very happy. The icemaker doesnt work really well and the drawer that the ice goes into is always sticking. We cant always push it in its place perfectly. The seal around the freezer door has been giving us problems ever since it was delivered here. Even after resetting the temperature in the refrigerator section, weve had issues of things freezing in there, and its not been functioning. Weve been calling the dealer we bought the refrigerator from, and theyve been coming out. But for buying quality stuff like this, its not what we expected. My Bentley doesnt give me this type of trouble. Its worth a lot more money but its on the same par. Its that type of quality were expecting. Nevertheless, our experience with the dealer was great. Where to start? Purchased in 2003. First time it was used temp went from 0 to 600 degrees. Damaged racks which they replaced. Nothing but problems. They kept sending Frick and Frack out to repair and they did more damage. I complained to Viking. I have all documentation. Last straw was when I did the self-cleaning on Super Bowl Sunday. It blew the circuit breakers and damaged the main control panel which we had to replace and we were without electricity for 14 hours. We have contacted Viking and they were going to review our case and get back to us--so far we havent heard from them. My husband faxed a long letter listing all the problems plus all the work orders. We want this oven out of our home. My husband said it is too dangerous to have in the house. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing our Viking Appliances. Do not buy Viking. Two year old oven breaks down 3-4 times - We purchased their top of the line double oven range. Within two years one of the ovens has stopped working. Viking has sent out two companies to fix the issue, but one has refused to take on any more Viking range service calls because they cannot obtain parts from Viking. Thanksgiving was very disappointing because Viking was unable to supply the service company with parts even though the service call was place in September. We were told that Viking was doing inventory; therefore, was unable to send out the parts. After contacting Viking, the person I spoke with stated that the service company should not be sharing the information with me. The logistics company delivered my Viking refrigerator to my house and dropped it off in my living room. They pushed it into the wall because its one of those built-in wall units. They didnt connect it or they connected it but it wasnt right. There was this bottom metal piece that was supposed to be installed. I asked the guys if they were supposed to do that. They said they were not allowed to install those for liability purposes. I would have to get somebody to do it. It cost me almost $500 to have a Viking specialist come out and install it.When the specialists came out, they said, “Your refrigerator’s not even drilled to the wall. Because if its not, what can happen is if you open the door, the whole thing could tip over and could crush you.” The guy said they were gonna secure it, which they did. That was a pain, to begin with. The refrigerator side works fine. But we noticed that the icemaker was really slow from day one. We went back and forth with the Viking warranty people and Build.com where I purchased the refrigerator from. They sent somebody out to fix it four times. After the last time, it still wasnt working right. It never would produce over 20 ice cubes. Every time they would come out, they would tell me to give it 24 to 48 hours and I would have a big bin full of ice cubes. That never happened. We had family over and birthday parties. I had to go to 7-Eleven and grab a bag of ice and stick it in my freezer. After paying $15,000, that doesnt make me happy.Build.com replaced the ice maker and its still not working right. They apologized and they went ahead and ordered me a new refrigerator. But that refrigerator is not going to arrive until April 2022 so Im stuck with this thing. It’s beautiful but it doesn’t make ice and the motor is really loud. I could have bought a car for that price I paid for the refrigerator so I want it to work 100%. Viking has been around for many years and they have beautiful products. After I placed the order with them versus Wolf, I happened to go online and I did some research and there are actually lots of really bad reviews. Viking is the least recommended. I have many regrets. I hate my refrigerator. We had issues with our other Viking products too like our stove and dishwasher.

We were looking for a range on the higher end, more top-of-the-line, and there were only a few that we looked at, but we chose Viking Ranges for the reliability. I liked that they were manufactured in the U.S. However, Im really disappointed because we cant get someone to come and help fix it. Ever since it was installed, its been running really hot. We have liquid propane and weve already had three people come out and look at it because I love to cook, which is why we invested in the stove. Im the only one who can cook on it because its so hot and cant get to simmer. Its low is boiling and theres no way to get it turned down. We looked at it and it said that it came already pre-configured for liquid propane and theres no adjustments that can be made. Its really frustrating and were stuck with it. I even went online and registered that I got the stove. The last repair person a couple of weeks ago said that there’s nothing they can do. We thought we made a solid purchase, but we’ve not been happy with it at all.

My cakes come out in a wavy shape because the heat isnt evenly distributed throughout the oven. The oven is so bad now that it cant stay heated; Thanksgiving turkey wouldnt cook because the oven couldnt sustain an even temperature after an hour or so. So, after years of AGONY, we finally purchased a new built-in refrigerator! Yesterday, our VIKING 48 inch built-in refrigerator was hauled away, and a new KitchenAid built-in was installed. Its sooo cold inside! Our food hasnt been refrigerated this well for years!NOTE TO REALTORS: STOP telling people that Viking Kitchens are the best! You are doing everyone a big dis-service. What do you know about appliance quality? You only know that Viking looks good. Our Viking Fridge costs $9,999. Its beautiful on the outside, but for that amount of money, I also expect it to keep the food cold, and it cannot do that.NOTE TO CONSUMERS: If a realtor tries to sell you a house with an All-Viking Kitchen, tell her your offer to purchase the house is contingent on the sellers replacing all of the appliances with another brand! That should get the realtors attention.A Viking refrigerator is like a Ferrari car. It looks beautiful, and your neighbors will drool over it every time they visit. But only you and your mechanic know the sad truth: Your Viking Refrigerator and your Ferrari need major servicing every 6 months to keep them running. You have to keep a Sears Kenmore refrigerator in the garage so that when your Viking breaks, you dont lose $1000 of food. You have a Toyota Corolla in the garage so that every time your Ferrari breaks, you can still get to work.If you are independently wealthy, and you have a housekeeper who can be at home every time the Viking repairman comes to visit, then buy Viking. But if you must take time off from work to stay home and wait for the repairman, keep in mind you will miss 3-4 days of work per year.Summary: Viking Refrigerators are very expensive to buy ($9,999) and even more expensive to maintain. The first two years, while its still under warranty, youll say to yourself, Whew, Im glad it broke under warranty! and then the warranty ends and it keeps breaking and keeps breaking, and then you think, How did I get into this mess? Small repairs are $300-$500. Major repairs are $1500 to $2000.

I heard about Viking Ranges online and from friends that had it. I liked the name, the look and the feel. There’s a lot of good parts, and as far as the performance, the heating elements of it, especially the oven, its very good. It heats up really fast and I really like the feature. However, the main issue I have with the range I bought is the door being so heavy. It has different panels and then those panels are latched to each other. I’ve been having issues with the door not latching all the way because it’s so heavy that it’s coming apart. And since the door doesn’t close all the way, now the heat is escaping. I had a technician come out here twice already who tried to repair that and rescue that back in there, but now it’s the same issue happening. They won’t replace the door. I’ve called everywhere and nobody gave me a satisfactory solution. At first I called from the retailer I bought it from. It was right at the end of the warranty period. So the first time they came out here, it was still under warranty. They repaired it and no charge. And then, six to eight months later the same thing happened again and the guy came out here again. So, he wrote it up and apparently they didn’t want to replace the door. They just repaired it. So, we’re having the same problem. And then I tried to call Viking directly and then I had under the warranty extended warranty go to waste. If you pay a lot for something you have high expectation and high quality, but it doesn’t seem like it. And then we call and don’t get the resolution that we expected. For that reason, I would never buy a Viking again.

I liked Vikings reputation with the stoves, and form and fit. However, Im disappointed with the refrigerator. We already had three service visits. We find it loud, which is a surprise to us. And it tends to ice things up in the fridge. The dealer has been responsive but they havent been able to solve the problem. They said we have to live with the icing issue. Thats by the design of the refrigerator. And that is also true of the compressor fan noise, which is, compared to the unit that we had that this replaced, its significantly louder than I would expect any in-home refrigerator to be. And especially a high-end refrigerator like Viking. For instance, for a long time it was loud enough that even the service person said, “Yes, that sounds like a failed bearing on the compressor fan.” And they came out and replaced that compressor fan. So they did that service. The original fan certainly had more of an issue. But the replacement fan is still significantly louder than the fridge that we had beforehand. If I could do it again, I wouldnt buy Viking.

A Viking refrigerator was already installed in our house when we bought it about five years ago. The refrigerator was built-in and custom-made for the area. And then, the freezer is separate from the actual refrigerator so its got two separate doors. Though very expensive, Viking is a good quality refrigerator. In the last couple of months however, all of a sudden, our refrigerators cooling was not being controlled by the digital display. Its not working even if we tried to actually increase the cooling. So, the technician came in and put in some gas as a refrigerant. And then, he told us to monitor it for another week and if everything will be fine, it’ll remain fine. If not, there’s apparently a small leak somewhere. And then he also told us what it would take to replace the refrigerator if needed or if the same refrigerator has to be replaced with the parts.

My husband and I are both good cooks and I wanted a Viking Range ever since
My husband and I are both good cooks and I wanted a Viking Range ever since they became available commercially. It was about the same price as its competitors but its the one I always dreamed of having. I wanted a six burner and the one I received from Viking is incredible. I love it. My old range was a Kitchenaid and with it, I couldnt run the burners on top and the oven at the same time. I would get a power failure and at that time, that was allegedly a good range. So I wanted something that was not going to crap out on me. We just had Thanksgiving and with the Viking Range, I had at least five burners going in the oven and everything was perfect. But when I purchased it from a retail store, it was a mess. I had complaints and they kept not wanting to put me through Viking. They kept telling me that Viking wouldnt do anything about it because the ovens got to have many things wrong with it. They also kept saying they could repair it and when we were down to the 6th thing that needed to be repaired, finally they sent the email with my complaints to Viking. Once Viking got involved, I had a new stove within two weeks. And because the range and the refrigerator are only separated by a small-ish cabinet, I also told them that when the refrigerator came in, it had a big bash on the side. Again, I had a new one in five days. So the people at Viking were incredibly responsive and based on my experience, we should watch out for the retail outfit that we get our Viking products from.

Im a previous owner of a Viking range and Ive always had them. I actually wanted a Wolf, because Ive had a Wolf too, and it works a little bit better for me than Viking but I went with the Viking because I wanted a white stove and Wolf doesn’t make a white one. I did a whole house remodel and bought $70,000 worth of appliances from an appliance store that’s a Viking dealer. I had a very good experience there and everyone has been great. However, Im very disappointed with the Viking range and they’ve already changed it for me once. Tim from Viking has been incredibly generous and he offered to give me the new stove. It came but one of the ovens is not working again and theyre trying to change some parts now. The ovens don’t get calibrated and they don’t seal, which was the problem with my last stove, and they try to fix it multiple times. The new one needs to have major amounts of repairs on them again and Im hoping they can actually get it right. I love the look of it, but Ive had nothing but grief. Still, I would like Viking to know that I do appreciate how well they’ve handled all the problems with it. At least they’ve been very honorable about keeping their word on trying to make things right. The stove is $15,000, big, and a dual convection 60 inches. And I also don’t understand why it stains so easily. I wish I knew a better way of keeping it clean. I use my stove every single day, multiple times a day, and Im a neat freak. When they picked up the last stove, there were these stains and some splattering that went into the black part under the actual surface. If I don’t wipe it immediately, it gets glued on. When I got the new stove, I cleaned it immediately, but the towel I was using to clean left a mark on the actual caps of the stove. So its a Catch-22 where I want to clean up but then I really cant because it leaves a different kind of mark. I would love to have someone call me and let me know how to take care of it the proper way because the rep doesn’t know either.

This is my second review of the Viking 36-inch all refrigerator. Ice formed inside the unit and this interfered with the fan. Water collected on shelves and under refrigerator. The first unit was repaired a number of times. Viking then replaced it with a new refrigerator. Same problems. We insisted that Viking refund money to the dealer and we now have a Sub Zero. Finally, after almost six months, we have a refrigerator that works. While the interior design of the Viking is better, their engineering is poor. Outside of the range, all the Viking Products we have purchased, including build in microwave, built in oven, and dishwater failed numerous times and service has been horrible to say the least. Parts take months to get if you can get them at all and service reps pretty much just play guessing games on what to do. Do yourself a favor and go buy a GE or KitchenAid. Viking is all smoke and mirrors and not a high end brand they claim to be.

Purchased Viking 48 wide by side in 2002. Compressor went out within 6 months, thankfully was under warranty. There was a door recall a few years later AND then another recall for those doors! The company that replaced the doors are familiar with Viking fridges and were able to to be somewhat helpful, suggesting we not place anything within 8 inches of any of the interior vents. We have NEVER been able to get the temp right. We have never been able to keep our fruits and veggies in the produce drawers as they become frozen. If we turn the temp down the milk goes bad, etc. Several of interior the plastic parts have broken under normal use: handle portion of ice maker drawer broke off in my hand, lid of bottom meat/produce drawer snapped off. Now the fridge lights have gone out (all simultaneously.) Try going to the Viking site to find a manual or worse yet parts. Everything there is SO difficult! They sent us a manual and I was able to download two, but none of them show the same control panel as what we have, since when there was a door recall, we received a new control panel as well... I feel sorry for the people that work for Viking. I will never purchase another Viking product. We purchased a high end Thermador range and KitchenAid Micro-Convection oven the same year and have had no problems with those appliances!

I have all-Viking appliances in my kitchen and I had a custom refrigerator. It was 10 years old and I was having problems with it. Not all the parts were available and it cannot be fixed so it was time to buy a new one. If it had not been built-in with the cabinet, I would have purchased a Sub-Zero because a lot of people said they had quite a few problems with Viking refrigerators. And it was $2,000 more than the Sub-Zero. But I wound up buying a Viking because I had to put in this cabinet what would fit. I got the exact same size as the one they took out, which had wood panels that matched the cabinets on it. But they dont do that anymore. The new one is all stainless steel, and it looks good with the stove and microwave, which are also all stainless steel. They all look the same so it’s fine. Its brand new and it cools well, so I have no complaints. I like that there is LED light in it, because its bright. You could see inside well. At the bottom, you have that little area where you can put a normal-sized pizza box and just shelve it right in there and it fits. Viking has made some design changes from what we have had previously and I think they’re good. But my questions were around the reliability in the long term. Because refrigerators arent necessarily Vikings wheelhouse. Its more the stoves and stuff.

We live in a rural area fifteen minutes from the Interstate freeway. Five years ago we purchased an integrated Viking dishwasher for top of the line bucks. It took Viking five service calls to get it running and it has performed flawlessly until now. So we call local appliance dealers and none of them service Viking. We call Viking and they tell us there is no local factory authorized service. However, they give us names of repair services who should be able to help us. All but one refuse telling us they have problems dealing with Viking and therefore servicing their products. The only one who would deal with the situation tells us the main circuit board is shot and the minimum charge for the service call will be around $1,100 to change out the $250.00 part due to travel time. We are about a one hour drive from Medford, Oregon. We are replacing a perfectly good machine to the tune of $1,200.00! Viking sucks!!!

I purchased a whole set of Viking Ranges for my new home and Ive been really happy with the appliances. I got a range, a hood, a fridge, a dishwasher and a mixer. Their quality has been spectacular and the installation went great. However, recently I had some issues with my dishwasher. I called them about it but theyve done nothing to help. Ive spoken to three different representatives. The first one told me to go on and make sure all my products were registered and then call back the next day. When I called the next day, the lady said shell get it set up for me. She gave me a repair number and the name of the company to call. I called the service company and they said that Im outside of their service area and they wont do the work regardless of whether Ill pay for it or not. I called back Viking and the next lady worked to try to find somebody else who could fix it for me. She looked it up and said Im out of warranty and Im out of luck. I told her I knew that I was two months out of my warranty and that I shouldve reported the problem a little bit faster. But I told her I have no problem paying to have a service provider come out and fix it. I was also willing to pay for the parts and I was not looking for them to pay for any of it. I was just looking for assistance to find an authorized service provider that can do the work for me so the dishwasher can get back up and working.Im so frustrated about my Viking appliances that Ive really enjoyed and which have worked better than I anticipated. Its rough for me right now because I cant find anybody who is willing to work on them. And the company doesnt seem to care about whether or not I can fix the whole top of the dishwasher that doesnt work. Also, I have a matching set for the kitchen and replacing the whole thing seems ridiculous.

Our Viking range has been really good. We did have one small problem with it very shortly after owning it. Two of the burners wouldnt light. But they quickly got us in touch with somebody to come out and replace the igniters. The person who they had come out and service it was awesome and had it fixed really quickly, but he said, “I just dont like how one of these is lighting. Its still lighting fine, but I just dont want to leave here and say it’s fixed. And then in three months, you have another problem.” So, he came out a second time, even though it was working when he left, and replaced that igniter entirely. It was great customer service from them. The only challenge with Viking is totally esthetic. The only frustrating part is that the surface below the grates are very shiny black, and theyre the ultimate dust collector if youre not keeping on top of it.

I hear about Viking Refrigerators everywhere. I hear about it online, I talked to people that bought my appliances. I go to the store and they show me the good one. I liked Viking for the size and the quality of the way the freezer was put together. It doesn’t have all those get your cherry coffee or pressurized in 12 different ways because those were the things that always break down and we don’t care about. Also, Viking has a good reputation. However, the stainless steel is impossible to clean decently and keep streak-free. It’s horrible. You can’t buy a good refrigerator with stainless steel anymore. It kinda breaks my heart. Also, the fridge gets too cold for gentle stuff that you put towards the back where the cold air comes out and that’s always been an issue. I thought it wouldn’t be with my fridge, but it is so I just raise the temperature. When the fridge was installed, I had Viking come out because it was making too much of the little gurgling noise that it has a reputation for making and I felt it seemed excessive. An authorized service representative came out, played with it for about an hour, pulled it out, plugged and unplugged it, couldn’t find anything wrong, then left. I then noticed after he left that the small panel at the bottom of the freezer was not reattached correctly and I was unable to do it myself because I was afraid I was gonna break it.I called the service people back and then they gave me a hard time saying that, “Well, the same guy that came out has to come out again. He can’t come out until after New Year,” etc etc. And I said, “But he didn’t do anything. I just need someone to look at this and reattach it.” He didn’t make any changes or any adjustments or anything that needed to be reevaluated or rechecked. He just plugged and unplugged it and said, “I don’t hear any gurgling noise,” and left. I didn’t like that. So I called Viking and said, “This is unacceptable. I don’t see any reason why someone can’t get out here quicker because nothing really was done.” Viking called the authorized service dealer who immediately called me back and sent someone out that same day which I very much appreciated. That was just excellent of Viking to do that.A second guy came out and it turned out that the freezer panel door was warped, and the thing at the bottom that didn’t attach correctly when the first guy came out., was damaged. All of that has been reordered and I was supposed to hear from them a week or so ago about coming out to replace those items and I haven’t. I’m still waiting to hear back from them, but their services were good and they stand behind the product.

I had a Viking refrigeration unit close to 15 years. But it crapped out and it was gonna cost $2,500 to fix it. The cabinetry that I have was all set to the same size of a Viking refrigerator and I didn’t wanna pull out the cabinetry that I have built around it. The showroom also had a Viking refrigerator that I was able to buy off the floor model that they were willing to sell me because I got my first Viking there so they gave me a discount on it. Its lighting is a lot better than the old one, but Im very concerned when I bought it. I bought it from Holloways and they told me that I would get the standard guarantees if anything was to go wrong. Its like buying a new product off of the floor. But the refrigerator wasn’t working in the store and it was just set up there. I thought I was buying a model where I get the same guarantees. After I registered the product with Viking, I was told by their customer service people that my refrigerator was out of warranty because it was on the floor for five years. If Viking was such a great company and had superior products, they would give me the same guarantee as a new refrigerator. Im stuck with this model now and they will not back up a product that was brand new to me for more than 90 days. My experience with them, whether I get a guarantee or not, made me become turned off with the company 100%. I would not buy and recommend a Viking.

Viking Range have had the reputation for quite a few years and we had looked at various ranges and Viking Range fall under the affordable price range. I expected the best quality from it when I bought it and its good because it didnt have a lot of electronics and would last me a lifetime, but our first range experience did not go so well. I was very disappointed its oven died after about a year and a half. I was glad I had an extended warranty on it because otherwise, it wouldnt have been covered at all and I wouldve been out the entire amount. But after nine service calls, it could not be repaired. Viking then replaced it with a new model because the model of our first range wasnt available anymore. Since then, the stove we have now has been working fine. Weve had it for about a year and a half now. The variety of the temperature using grade on it is the best about it. I can get down to a nice low simmer.

Viking was the affordable choice and a better choice than some Maytag. Its got a quality name to it. Its the rep. However, there was a problem with the shipping of our Viking Refrigerator, and we had to get another one. The first one got replaced. Even the second one, the freezer door is a little loose. I didnt wanna deal constantly having to send it back. The handle was loose, so I tried adjusting the handle. It doesnt adjust anymore. But, its good. It works. We got it from Best Buy. They were nice enough to accommodate switching out the first one. They wouldve switched out the second one cause I wasnt happy with the freezer door being crooked and the handle being loose. The handle is still loose. We were able to fix the crookedness a little bit, but at that point, we needed a fridge. Our old fridge had crapped out, so I didnt have time. They werent gonna bring it till the next day. So, thats my only gripe. The product is not 100%. I wouldnt recommend this Viking Refrigerator ‘cause its a hassle.

The range is now nearly the end of the warranty and replacement parts, motherboard, and gas valve have been on backorder for months. Following a friends recommendation, I got a Viking range and its beautiful. I got the black one and not only does it work well, but it’s nice-looking. The quality is really good too. I love cooking with it, although there are things that it can do that I havent utilized yet because I’ve only had it hooked up for about four months. Also, when I first got it, the broiler was broken. They just fixed that about a month ago. Its an amazing broiler, it goes over the whole top of the oven. It took a long time for them to come out to get it fixed because I live in a rural area. There was some problem with me getting the paperwork, but it didn’t have to do with Viking. I bought it through AJ Madison, and their company was the one that I was having trouble with obtaining the paperwork so that I could get the product registered, and then I could get it serviced for free under the warranty. The person who handled it did a good job, and it works now.Apart from the broiler, which I love that, I also love that on a standard stove that I’m used to, it has the smaller center burners, and these can all go to the boiling. And then they have one that’s huge, so it really gets your water boiling quickly. It also has a dehydrator built into it, which is amazing. It bakes well, too. I’ve had good experience with everything. I would buy one again for sure.

Being empty nesters, and retired we rarely use your oven, except for when company comes. So even though it was past the warranty, plus we had a problem at the beginning with the settings of the range, we believe this range is a lemon. They say because we didnt have complaints earlier, its not. Customer service was horrible! Our oven stopped working during roasting our prime ribs, we had to ask neighbors to finish the prime rib and barbecue the other one; the hot dishes that were going to go into the oven after the prime rib was done had to go to other neighbors house. We would call customer service and ask them to return our call, but they never did. So we had to call over and over again. That meal was at Thanksgiving time and we still dont have it repaired yet, and they called saying the part hasnt come in so theyre canceling tomorrows appointment! Right during the holiday season when we like to do a lot of Christmas baking! So its ruining our Thanksgiving and Christmas! Thanks a lot Viking! I purchased a new home with a Viking VWH3648SS professional style residential range hood to accompany the Viking Range that was installed below. It is fitted with a 1200CFM in-line blower. The package cost close to $2500 new. We use our kitchen daily for a family of 4. At the 8 year point, the lighting control knob began to loosen. Eventually, we called an authorized Viking Service provider called, Mr. Appliance They sent out a repairman who worked on the hood and seemed to have repaired the problem. But within three or four weeks, the knob came loose again. We called and the head honcho from Mr. Appliance came to fix the problem. We thought that was the end. Fast forward 5 years later and the knob loosens again. Not wanting to spend another several hundred dollars, I decided to address the problem myself. As an degreed engineer, I am not one to avoid a technical challenge.I pulled the hood switch panel apart only to discover that the switch had been tie wrapped into place. Over the years, heat, vibration and usage caused the tie wrap to stretch. The proper way to have made the repair was to remove the switch face plate which is held in place by the fan, lights and heating lamp rocker switches (spring clips). This provides access to an underlying nut plate to which the control should have been mounted using a 1/2 inch nut. In the process of disassembly, I discovered that the control thread, made of nylon or plastic, had been stripped which might explain why a tie wrap had been used. I ordered a new part for $58 and mounted it correctly, adding a lock nut to the assembly. But thats not the biggest problem. Upon disassembling the hood, I discovered inaccessible areas to be caked with grease so thick that it took a scraper to remove. This grease was checked separately as being flammable. The recess areas and sockets where hot halogen light and heat bulbs sit was particularly thick with burned grease. There were pools of liquid and solid grease in inaccessible areas of the hood that if ignited during a pan fire or electrical fire would provide fuel to burn the surrounding wood cabinets, the drywall and the exposed studs behind the hood covering. Mind you, these areas are not normally accessible for cleaning by a consumer. In my attempt to clean and repair this poorly constructed product, I was exposed to razor sharp sheet metal edges and burrs which had not been properly or safely machined during the manufacturing process. Particularly dangerous is the access holes surrounding the range hood lights where a consumer might attempt to clean only to be cut in the process. There are dozens of complaints in various internet review sites that complain about this issue in consumer accessible parts like the filter elements. Any machine shop professional will tell you that Viking Range has used improper technique in their manufacturing process which expose service people to the possibility of serious cuts.A call to Viking Range customer service resulted in the answer: We dont recommend that consumers access these areas and any tampering will void the warranty. Of course, the warranty is long expired. There didnt seem to be any concern (or understanding) by the Viking Range person of the dangerous design that Viking Range has released to the market.I have video taped my work and after I have a chance to edit the raw material, I will post the shocking videos and will be sending a copy to the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) for recall consideration. This range hood is a fire danger and a health hazard that should be addressed with the thousands of customers who unknowingly have installed this product.I would love to see responses from authorized (or freelance) service personnel with opinions on these issues. By the way, the Viking Range VGRC365-6BD commercial grade open burner gas range that accompanies this hood is just as poorly constructed with dangerous sharp edges. It is a nightmare to clean. Never again a Viking Range product.

Weve owned Viking products for years in different houses. Over the years, their products have improved. Weve just spent about $40,000 in Viking products, in building a new home. The refrigerator we got from them appears to be fine. They built a nice product. I dont have high expectations with a refrigerator. It either keeps stuff cold or frozen. We have a separate Viking ice maker thats not part of the freezer or refrigerator, and its a nicely constructed piece of equipment. My only issue was with their dishwasher that immediately leaked. Moreover, I was in a new home without a dishwasher for two months because they couldnt deliver parts. We just got the dishwasher back a couple of days ago. The Viking dealer was good, except with their service with the dishwasher. We live in a small town in Arizona and they are the only game in town. But theres no excuse for our spending thousands of dollars on a piece of equipment that comes defective from the factory and then it takes two months to get a replacement part. Its just not acceptable We havent had any issues so far with any of the other equipment, which is good. Our Viking products sometimes had service-related issues, so theyre not as durable as some of their competitors stuff, but they certainly are attractive in their features. Ive had both good and bad experiences with Viking products, so I’m holding my breath that we don’t have any other issues. Viking has been challenged publicly on the quality of their product. So, Im hoping that they have improved their manufacturing process and their items are more durable than they were in the past.

We were remodeling our house and I needed a bigger refrigerator. Viking was one of the better ones on the market so we got their 48-inch refrigerator. We also ended up getting all Viking appliances (a range, a hood, and a stove) because I wanted to stay with the same brand for resale purposes. However, we’ve only bought the refrigerator in November and in February, the mechanism that defrosts the coils in the freezer went out, and trying to get that fixed was not pleasant. I called Viking on a couple occasions and they said they had three contractors for us but two of them didn’t service refrigerators down in South Florida. The third company sent a guy out and he said he’ll defrost it. I told him we’ve been defrosting it every other day for a month while waiting for him to come out. He said “Well, I got to try this anyway and if it doesn’t work then call us back.” He defrosted it and two days later, it was icing over again. So I called the company back and they said I needed to replace the mechanism that defrosts it. They have it back ordered and I had to wait another month for them to get the part. I spent two months with a $10,000 refrigerator and I had to take a heat gun every other day and defrost the coils in the freezer so I wouldnt lose everything in it.After the mechanism went out, my husband read on forums that our refrigerator’s issue is a common Viking problem. And the tech they sent out didn’t speak English, which is fine because I speak Spanish. I kept asking, “Well, what is actually the problem?” And he said, “Well, it just needs to be defrosted.” He wanted me to sign all these forms and I said, “Look, I am not paying for this because this should be under my extended warranty that I paid for.” He said I had to sign it and that’s the only time I got him to tell me what he thought was wrong with our fridge. When I had to call back, I told them not to send the same guy but they did. He had no social skills. He didn’t even introduce himself when he showed up and left without saying anything. I had to track him outside the driveway and ask if it was already fixed. He said, “Well, just watch it. If it frosts over again then you’re gonna have to call another service ticket on it.”Though the Viking dealers were nice and helpful, the service could be way better. The number that I was provided for servicing in my purchase packet was redirecting me to the store so I had to call them and try to find servicing for it. I sat on hold trying to get someone for almost an hour to answer the phone. If I’m gonna be on hold for a long time, they should send my call to a voicemail and call me back. Other than the mechanism going out in less than a year, everything else has worked beautifully. The refrigerator keeps my fruits and vegetables fresher way longer than the last refrigerator we had. I liked that I always have space in it, and I also love the other appliances that we bought. I wouldn’t recommend the refrigerator for the price, but the other appliances, I would.

When our family bought our home we purchased all new Viking kitchen equipme
When our family bought our home we purchased all new Viking kitchen equipment. Double oven, heat warming tray, 2 oversized units, one refrigerators, one freezer, ice machine dishwasher, hood, and 6 burner stove top. Within two years the refrigerator started leaking. We complained to the company we purchased it from and he said it was the seal. They ordered a new one from Viking but what Viking failed to tell them was that the refrigerator we had purchased was one of the first 100 off the assembly line and they had recalled this item. The continuing leakage from the refrigerator ruined our hardwood floors. We finally had a rep come out and look at the refrigerator and believe it or not we got a new one after this continuing over a year. The ice machine in the freezer went bad so he ordered us a new one while he was there. The ice machine that was self standing the board went out after 4 years and it cost almost as much to fix so we threw it out. Now our freezer only freezes halfway. There is a hole in the condensing coil that they can not locate. Now the refrigerator that was replaced the door keeps catching and it will not close properly. The dishwasher would not drop water after 5 years. Could not figure out why it would not and just ended up throwing that away.
