Viking did make good on the situation and replaced the dishwasher. A premium product needs the vendor to stand behind their product and in this case Viking has done so. Good on them. I am sure the new one will be much better than the previous.

Viking is a valuable brand and it conveys quality. Purchasing our range was super easy. We looked at a lot of local, brick-and-mortar stores here, but no one carried it. They werent carrying a lot of different things because of inventory issues with COVID. So, we ended up ordering it online through a website called Appliances Connection. We got it within six weeks. So, it was great. Install was seamless. Im pretty happy with the rebate. As far as the range itself, I like that the knob lights up and that I can change the colors on it. I like also the bronze gold colored burners. What I dont like about it is you cant keep the bronze gold color burners looking new. Theyre already discolored. So, thats frustrating. Also, in the oven, its hard to tell when its at temperature, as well as theres no broil setting, which is strange. Ive never had another without broil setting on it.

I used to work in the restaurant biz and I’ve heard about Viking for a long time. I knew it was gonna be a good stove oven and I liked the way it looked. I keep on telling everybody it’s like my whole life I’ve been driving a beat up Datsun and now I’m driving a Volvo or Rolls-Royce. You can just feel how the quality is and it’s excellent. Also, I like its sturdiness, the rollout shelves, the LED lighting over the little controls, the handles and everything about it. My husband was good with Viking. He is a contractor and he did the installation. My plumber had roughed out the gas line, according to the install directions, and then when the actual oven showed up, you couldn’t install where that gas line was. My husband called Viking and explained the problem about their drawings. That went well but we had to move the gas line which was not great. Still, people should go for Viking Ranges. It’s an expense and it’s gonna be more expensive but it was the biggest choice I had to make. I looked at others like Wolf, BlueStar and American and I liked all of them but I decided on Viking and I’m very happy with my decision.

I have a Viking fridge side by side and 4 years (out of warranty). It broke twice within one year. Repair is very expensive. I had called the Viking customer service and they did not care...compared to the whirlpool fridge that never broke for more than 17 years, the viking is A COMPLETE SCAM AND WASTE OF MONEY. Viking customer service were rude and told me not call again. They can not do anything.

We purchased a Viking range in 1996 for $4,000. We began having problems with the oven igniters not working, therefore could not use the oven. We had them replaced the first time, at the cost of $217.89 on 12-23-98. This problem has recurred on a regular basis. We have replaced the igniters repeatedly on: 8-12-02 for $271.25, 7-13-06 for $310.00, 2-17-10 for $245.05, 1-21-10 for $265.26, and 8-09-11 that cost $402.95. Two days after the last repair, on 8-11-11, the igniters again would not work.As I write this today, I am without the use of my range again and find myself waiting for repairs to the same one later this week. This has become a nightmare! We have spent nearly $2,000 in repairing the same defective part over and over again. We are retired and cannot afford to keep replacing the igniters that are defective. The range is totally unreliable. I never know if it is going to light when I turn it on. We have used only repair services that are officially recommended by Viking. Our calls and concerns to Viking go nowhere.Upon investigating further, I have found that the igniters have been a constant problem in these Viking ranges and they were forced to redesign the igniter/burners system in the newer ranges. Where does that leave those of us who own these lemons? I would like to consider taking action against Viking.

Our builder put Viking range, dishwasher, and refrigerator in our home. The range is great but I already had to replace the motherboard on the refrigerator within six months. The seal around the freezer chipped because the availability of getting a motherboard took an extra number of weeks. The appliance company sent somebody out and said we needed a motherboard. They tried to communicate with Viking but they werent successful. So we ended up calling Viking and then we rescheduled the guy to come out to put it in. I wondered about that a little bit and I wasnt happy with that at all. I wish they were a little more customer service oriented. If Im gonna recommend Viking, then it will be something based on my experience with them and not how I like their range. My little experience with the refirgerator has clouded my perception and I would not choose Viking if I had to replace an appliance.

We have a lot of friends who own Viking appliances, both refrigerators and stoves. This is our first Viking fridge and we love it. I like the bottom drawer for the freezer cause we got the big swing door. It was a little bit hard to install because it had to be in a wall unit. Other than that, were happy with the product itself. We were fine with the dealer, however, we are still missing pieces of equipment, such as pieces of trim. We had someone from Viking come over and he supposedly ordered the trim pieces. Its been a month and we still havent seen him though. Then, theres a spacer between the hinged top when the door swings open that was broken. We are missing that little barrier in between, to keep it from swinging more than 180 degrees. Still, I would recommend Viking refrigerators.

I had a KitchenAid that was four years old prior to having my first Viking Refrigerator, and I had nothing but problems with their refrigerators. The Viking Refrigerator is beautiful. It was the only one that looked built-in and looked really like a professional grade refrigerator with the handles. It looks good in my kitchen and it cools the food. That’s top-of-the-line so I was expecting it to be quiet but that’s not the case. The actual noise that comes out of that refrigerator is absolutely unacceptable and terrible. Its super high pitched, like a whistling sound. Its the loudest refrigerator Ive ever had. Ive had two people come out and look at it and they weren’t very helpful. One was here for five minutes and said, “No, that’s just the compressor. No, its a little bit louder than most but that’s just normal.” That was it and then he left. I had three homes and several different refrigerators and for them to act like it was normal but mine was a little bit louder than the rest made me wonder if there was really something wrong with it. Even my husband said that weve spent almost $4,000 on this fridge and its super loud. Im just going to have to live with it and maybe down the line, if it doesn’t break in, then Im going to have them come back out. And Id tell others not to buy one because they might get a loud one like mine.

We got a stove and some other appliances. The stove, we had issue with. Its a gas stove. The proper gas nozzle apertures were requested when we ordered it but they were not sent. And there were some issues between our local dealer getting that correct nozzle. That took time. And during the installation, the installers broke a piece of the stove or the oven. And it took two times to get the correct part. They got it the first time and they installed it, and the local people who were our installers and our repairer as well, said, “This isnt right.” So it went back to Viking. We talked to somebody. Got it right. And same thing with those nozzles. It wasnt done correct the first time. I dont know where that issue lies, if it was with our local person not being able to articulate what was properly needed, or Viking not understanding or sending the wrong piece altogether. We chose Viking for several reasons. The aesthetics of it, how it looks, the way it would fit into our kitchen, the design, and its reliability, that it was a very good brand. I like how, when we open the doors, they feel substantial. Most refrigerator and freezer doors, you open them, they feel lightweight and not put together well. The Viking, when you open it up, that door is heavy. Its not heavy like I cant open it. But it feels very substantial, that I have something there that would hold up and done well.

When I renovated my kitchen in 2007, I purchased the Viking Professional Series dishwasher, fridge and gas top stove. IVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH ALL OF THEM. After spending $11,000.00+ for these three appliances (that came highly recommended by the salesperson at a large, high end appliance store), I expected a good quality product to don my newly renovated dream kitchen... WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!Initially, the appliances all Sat in their boxes until my kitchen renovation was completed about 6 months after my purchases. Several months after installing the appliances, the DISHWASHER broke... the water would not drain properly. Viking repair man fixed, then happened again about a year later. I asked Viking rep to replace product since same issue was re-occurring and appeared to be a pre-existing problem. I was told no; that since the dishwasher was still under warranty they would send another repair man. Fixed again... then same thing happened again within a year... except now (even though they Sat unopened in boxes first the 6 months) the warranty was over.I was told the diverter valve needed replaced, and it would cost over $600.00 to repair!!! I was beside myself, I called Viking and said this was ridiculous since this was a pre-existing problem and I should not have to pay for repair. Well we all know their response... Cant help as no longer under warranty. A frightening and dangerous feature of the GAS STOVE TOP is the design of the on/off knobs. I am all of 110 lbs, and sometimes when I lean forward to stir a pot on a back burner, the pressure from my body will actually turn the flame from the front burner on!!! Also, periodically when I turn one burner on, one of the burners that is off will make a clicking noise. The REFRIGERATOR water dispenser broke after the first year. Later had troubles with the ice maker bar getting stuck in the on position, and more recently the clear plastic on the large pull out drawer cracked. Finally, the other day the refrigerator just stopped working - like it went into a defrost mode - ruined all frozen foods, and most of the refrigerated items. I called the store where I purchased the Vikings to see if maybe the refrigerator was still under warranty - they said no. I mentioned all the troubles I have had with these products, and the sales representative said they stopped carrying Viking products. I think that says it all!!!The repairman came, said it was the poorly designed freon line which was directed into a drip pan (for cooling purposes) causing the line to rust/corrode, and consequently leak the freon. He was surprised to see this since he said, running the line in this manner was stopped years ago. The repair was estimated at $600.00 to replace the line, but possibly $1000.00+ if other related problems were found. The repair man said probably better to cut my losses and go with a more reliable refrigerator like GE, Kenmore or Whirlpool - rather than throwing good money after bad. Like many I want to repair since cheaper than buying new... but based on reading these postings, and past repair experiences... Im afraid of getting burned once again. Being stuck between a rock and a hard place. :(I would NEVER, ever recommend buying these overly expensive appliances built with their cheap parts, and poor design features. I feel like I spent a lot of money and never received a good return on my hard earned dollars. Should be illegal. Guy who mentioned a class action suit may be on to something.

Our Viking Professional Kitchen included an under counter bar fridge. It worked for less than a month before needing repairs. About every three months after that, it would suddenly just stop working. Parts for repair would take up to a month and a half. I tried talking to Viking but they would not accept that this product was a lemon and maintained that it was covered by warranty (so why should I complain). They didnt get the issue was that we paid way more for a high-end product that worked for only a few months total out of the first year. It has been repaired a half dozen times now (appears to be a poorly designed electronics control - not a compressor).Fortunately, we purchased extended warranty as the same problem has occurred again. Once again, its a month or more waiting for parts. Our Extended warranty is over this fall. If something goes wrong after that, then we are on our own. I will toss it and buy another brand. No problem with any other Viking products, but based on the terrible Viking corporate response, I would not buy from them again. Wolf /Sub-Zero is a better combination if you are springing for high-end appliances.

I bought a house that has a Viking Range. So far, the quality is good. I like the stovetop with the gas and heavy-duty grates. It’s easy to maintain and clean. However, I recently called them about some parts. There were some little rubber grommets on the bottom of the stove grate that shrink with heat and fall out. Ive done remodels of kitchens for five or six years and Ive always used Sub-Zero but we decided to try how Viking would work out. We liked the look, the overall aesthetics, and quality of it and the pricing was a big thing, too. There seemed to be a good overall package deal with the broad suite of Viking appliances. What we ended up doing was our entire kitchen is all Viking appliances. The refrigerator has been good so far. I wanted a Viking since I was a kid and I know that they have the reputation for being the best stove. A few times that I’ve seen them, they seemed to cook the best. However, Im disappointed with the stove that I got. I’ve called them a couple of times for an issue that I’m having. I’ve had the stove since May and it’s not working correctly still. I have a 36-inch stove and it has a long piece of metal on the bottom. When you bake with a sheet pan, it sometimes pops so when I heat up the oven, once before it gets to a temperature, it makes this bang that shakes the whole house. Apparently, there was some kind of fix order, but they’re still going back and forth with me about whether to fix it or how they’re gonna fix it. I contacted their service company and someone came out to take a look at it. It was a younger guy and he said that its the way the metal is and there’s not really a fix for it.Then they called me and said that he wasn’t advised of what the fix was at that time and that they have to send somebody back out because the holidays are coming quickly and I still have a stove that doesn’t work. I can still use the stove, but I can’t pull my racks out of my oven, which I’m used to doing when cooking. If I have to take the pan out, the racks do not line up right, so I can’t take them out. I’m constantly reaching into a hot stove and it’s a hazard. On the other hand, their reps are very courteous and they’re great. It’s easy to get someone on the phone, they make appointments, and they have certified people that can come out to fix it, but the process is very slow. I wish they would move a little bit quicker when it comes to service considering the amount of money that I paid for this thing. I expect top-of-the-line service and at this point, my issue should be resolved. Other than that, I would still recommend Viking and it’s still my favorite brand. The stove works quicker than any other stove. It boils water in 60 seconds and it’s unreal. It’s almost too powerful to the point where I had to relearn how to cook. I was burning things initially because I couldn’t get over how strong it is.

We purchased an entire suite of professional-grade Viking kitchen appliances. My wife is a very good cook, so she wanted a gas range with Viking as a name, and we thought the refrigeration would be good too. However, I just had somebody come in to repair my refrigerator cause its a defect. The drain was not designed properly, so it would basically freeze up or clog up at the end of the day and then back up. And then, I ended up with ice below my freezer tray. It would melt on the door below the freezer door and then get my floor wet. As a result, I have cupping on my wood floor. So, not only did I pay the repair company that just recently came over $170-$200, which I havent even been reimbursed yet for, but I also have damaged floor.I havent had Viking contact me regarding that yet, and that was something I was expecting a call on. I reached out to them first, and they informed me that if it was a sealed component, it would be covered under warranty but if it wasnt, it wouldnt be. I ordered a part for the snap tray from a repair company, and I asked about the refrigerator and its leaking characteristics. They mentioned that there was a fix for it, and Viking knows about it. A notice was sent out and apparently, Viking has amnesia with that. They dont know of any notice. Theres no recall, yet its clearly a defective product.

You can control the heat and with the grill on the top with six burners, you can cook a lot. One burner also has a higher BTU on it which is nice. We bought it from Ferguson in the town we lived in. The Viking dealer has a good reputation and known for its bath and kitchen showroom. We didnt hesitate to go to them when we wanted to pick out the appliances. So if I had the gas on on the stove, it was constantly leaking gas so we had to keep the gas off all the time.Vikings preferred vendor that they hooked up with me was just a nightmare. So everything just took a long time. Like the parts took a long time to come in so they took a long time to come. But they were able to have it fixed last week. It took them a week to come out and look at it, and then it took them almost two weeks for the part to come in. And then it took them another week to come and actually fix it.But The customer service woman I spoke to was really nice. Shed provided me with tracking update and would call the company. I think its just a matter of them getting a more reliable, certified Viking repair specialist because when you have to rely on one place, locally that doesnt seem to make your priority, that can get a little frustrating. But other than that, Viking themselves seemed to be pretty good in terms of their customer service, like being responsive to me. But if you spend almost $6,000 on a stove, it should probably come to your house working. And then your customer service is only as good as the people you have working with you, and partnering with you and I didnt think it was wonderful.

Purchased a very nice home in 2006 that had just been built. The home came with Viking appliances. We have had nothing but problems with the Fridge and the Dishwasher has already been replaced with a top of the line Maytag. We have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on everything you can imagine with this fridge with 3 different authorized Viking repair companies. It still doesnt work properly and the alarm goes of all night keeping everyone awake. This is the worst $8000 dollar piece of junk ever built. It has to go, cant take it any longer. Someone should start a class action suit against Viking.

I went to PC Richard and they were great to the point where I also got a Viking microwave and a wine fridge. We own a 5-Series Viking Dual Fuel Range which we purchased approximately slightly more than three years ago. (Largely on the strength of its so-called superior warranty). We are by no means heavy users of this appliance. Recently the electronic control unit failed, and rendered the stove useless with the exception of standard Bake at 350. The Service Dept told us its out of warranty, and the technician wanted a kings ransom to repair out of warranty. After all we read, wed hoped the new ownership would have turned this around, or at least stood behind their product. Neither has happened. This is so disappointing. We have purchased a genuine Pro-style Range with our local Dealers sound advice. This three year old piece of garbage is headed to the dump next week. Dont believe the false hype (we were told by our local Dealer that Viking is fabricating and publishing false endorsements on their own website) and stay away from Viking at ALL COSTS!!!

We thought Viking had a good reputation. We bought a brand new Viking stove oven but it was defective from the start. It has been months since we reported the issue and Viking has been looking into it. However, it has been extremely slow and unsatisfactory plus we have to keep doing the follow-up. They had to order parts and it was absurdly a long time. They should be able to put the order and have it on a day or two and not weeks then tell us its on back order. We do have a service call. They said that the parts came in and its gonna fix it.Viking is poorly handling our situation. We asked for this thing to be escalated weeks and months ago but it doesnt go anywhere. Weve been trying to talk to someone in quality control since they should know about the production issue and fix it. We got promises that they will get back to us but no one does that. They also promised that they would send us a summary via email and there is no email. At this point, we’re clearly not happy Viking customers and we would never ever recommend a Viking product.

I bought 3 Viking appliances for $30,000. Big mistake! I have been so disappointed with them & wished I had read these comments before I purchased these expensive junk appliances. The fridge is only 5 years old and has leaked 3 times which resulted in 3 service calls with 1,000$ in repairs without warranty. Third time leaking & repairman said the motor is shut, the refrigerator coolant is low & thered ice buildup etc... Its a 3500 fix & I have no warranty. What a waste of money and everyones time. So pissed off since the fridge is built into our cabinetry. Fridge is turned off. Power off. Cant use it at all now cause it leaks. Poor landfill with all these damaged appliances. What a shame. Never again!

Weve had a horrible experience with Vikings customer service. I got a brand-new fridge from them and it came scratched up. I told Viking about it and I sent pictures. But its very hard to show pictures of scratches, and they said they couldnt see the scratches. They sent somebody to fix it and clean the scratches, but they never really came off. A brand-new refrigerator should be perfect, yet it was leaking as well. It was a nonstop leak and everything was wrong with it. It was a lemon. Also, the door broke and wouldnt close, and we needed a new spring in the door. The refrigerator was under warranty, and we had many customer calls and bad experience. Whenever I called in, I sat on hold for half an hour. The contractor came here and said they couldnt fix the refrigerator. So, after 20 visits, we got a new Viking refrigerator. I had a GE before this that was a cheap refrigerator, but then, this was the worst incident Ive ever had. I wish they would make their customer service better. We have all Viking products but wouldnt recommend Viking to anybody. The product does not live up to its name and standard.

In my last home that I built, we put a Viking range and a hood in it. I did research on it at the time and it was one of the highest rated in Consumer Reports. From experience with it before, I went to purchase another one when I redid my new kitchen. Everything’s been fine with it and I’ve been very pleased. I love everything about the range except two things. The first is the old stove I had had individual grates for each burner and I miss that. With this one, I have a five-burner stove and its got three grates. I would prefer to have each burner have their own grate. Its easier for me when Im cleaning it to be able to lift one of the grates to wipe out the area which needs to be wiped down. The second issue is the knobs. There should be a safety locking device on it for children.

Viking is a pretty well-known brand as compared to some other available in the market. I was looking around and I felt that Viking is a good choice. The fridges design, the outside appearance and inside, everything looks good. It fit my purpose. Its not too big and not too small. If I want to save something inside, I can fit a space there well. I also like my freezer in the bottom. Im moving to a new home in North Carolina so I purchased a new one there, and compared to my old one, that ones design has more flexibility. Its good, interior-wise. The one I have here was done by another company and their design is a bit crowded.

Its a tough year because we bought the Viking range during COVID. We bought it last October but we couldnt get it until February or March. It was the same with our SubZero refrigerator. Its just the way it was last year. Our contractor put the range in and the ease of install was fine. They did the kitchen remodel and then, we redid counters and cabinets. The range heats up fast and even, and the stove and the burners work well. But the grates started showing wear. There are dings in it, like you dropped something on the grates or theyre torn off, and we hardly use it. The quality is not standing up to the price we paid for it. One thing I would like to have known is to burn it up before you try to cook something in it. I should have read the directions. We set off the smoke detectors. A sticker on the window might be a good idea. My wife had surgery and we had someone come to help my wife, and she was the one who used the oven first. The burners were easy to use. I had gas for the last 30 years so it was not hard so we didnt think about reading the instructions. We read them after we almost had the fire department called. Fortunately, we have good ventilation in the house and we have a Viking hood but that was what was expensive.

BUYER BEWARE. They will NEVER replace a product that is brand new and doesnt work, they WILL keep sending repair people and order parts. Fact: Bought a new Viking refrigerator/freezer. Fact: Doors are cracked and freezer doesnt work, refrigerator freezing everything. Fact: Notified retailer, they sent two repair people to appraise, both said it should be replaced. Fact: Third repairperson finally told us what Viking wanted to say, which was it can be fixed if we replace the doors and thermostats.Vikings policy is they will NOT take back, even a brand new appliance, if they can replace all of the parts. Problem, parts have been on backorder so we have no freezer for 2 months and our refrigerator freezes our food. Viking did offer us $400 to buy another refrigerator until the parts finally come in. Where are we to put this, and where can I get one for $400 with installation? I have begged, literally, for them to replace it... I didnt ask for our money back, just replace with a quality item... They refused. I was better off with my other brands that were less money. I will NEVER EVER tell anyone to buy Viking. Honestly, it is a horrible situation.

I have a kitchen full of Viking. Oh, where do I begin?! First the microwave, which is built in to my cabinets, somehow gets a big hole burned in the back and sparks fly whenever it is turned on. Next, the dishwasher goes. It cost $700 to repair the panel or whatever. I bought a new LG for the cost of repair. I still have not dealt with the microwave because I fear of having a carpenter redo my freaking kitchen. Next to go is the fridge. It just stopped working ... stops. **. I know it will be a fortune since just replacing a broken shelf cost me $250, so I cut my losses and bought a new fridge. And the burner in the stove clicks like it will give out any freaking minute. Oh, by the way, weve lived in a brand new house for two years. Wow Viking, wow! Im on board for class action.

My wife likes cooking so we wanted to buy a professional-level range. We got one from Viking Range and it has an oven and convection and it heated up very fast to the temperature that I set up when broiling. But when I tried to do baking and set up the temperature to 300 it never heated up to 300. I thought there were some ignition issues so I tried for a couple of times and sometimes it worked but sometimes it didn’t. I planned on trying more times to see exactly what the issues were. I also called them before to tell them what the issues were and they said they couldn’t help unless I register my product so I did. And when I called them back I waited for around five minutes but they were busy and I couldn’t get an answer so I just hung up and stopped trying. The call didn’t go to voicemail as well but they were nice during the conversation with them. Overall, it was good. My wife cooks all the time using it and I notice that the power is really strong. We have six burners and the heat is very consistent and in general I like it a lot.

My parents owned a Sub-Zero which only makes built-in refrigerators and not stand-up ones. Ive heard of Viking in the past and theyre my number two choice. However, I received my refrigerator damaged. A lot of parts under it were bent so its not leveled and I have to put a piece of wood behind the fridge to level it. Also, the bottom grille doesnt line up with the fridge. Theres also frost build-up all around the inside of the fridge where the cool air comes out of the little vents. Theres supposed to be a gap in between the shelves but theyre touching. And the door slams hard. It doesnt feel like a normal fridge. Its hard and its like plastic on plastic when it closes. The freezer door is not even with the refrigerator doors like its pushed in on one side. When I close it, it’s supposed to be flush with the doors but only one side is pushed down and one side is pulling out. The Viking team was friendly but they took a while to return calls. I spoke to a representative and she said she was going to check on my fridge. I had to call her the next week and they were supposed to call me back two days later and this last week but I still havent heard from them. They said they were going to send out somebody to repair the fridge but the company guy said its irreparable. Overall, Vikings built-ins are very good but their stand-ups are not.

We went out and looked at a lot of different specialty shops and we were looking for high-end appliances. We came to really enjoy and like the way the Viking refrigerator looked and we decided to purchase one. The quality seems fantastic. Weve had one little bump in the road where it wasnt defrosting properly in the freezer and they sent a tech out. Not only was the guy very knowledgeable, but more impressive than anything was that he had the broken parts on his truck. 9 out of 10 times when we ever have somebody come out to fix any appliance, its always a miracle, no matter what breaks, they never have it on the truck. So this guy knew exactly what he was doing and he was effective. He was in and out in 45 minutes. But I didnt realize until we got the refrigerator home and the wife and I looked at it that it wasnt quite as deep as we thought it was going to be when we saw it on the showroom, from a standpoint of inside the refrigerator. But maybe they have one of the deeper models. Other than that, its a beautiful piece of almost like furniture, especially the lighting inside of it, which is fantastic. And its easy access for everything, so nothing but praise to the unit so far. I have also many times recommended Viking to a friend.

I purchased brand new Viking appliances for my entire kitchen. I got a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a 36-inch gas range. I happened to be at Best Buy and walked by their display. I knew Viking was very reputable. I had it quoted to see if it would fit my needs. However, purchasing the appliances there was a nightmare. It was probably the most painful thing Ive been through. Every single product delivered to me by Best Buy was a disaster. Its because once it leaves Viking, it actually goes into a contracted service that Best Buy uses, and its their distributorship that caused the problem. They had way too many hand offs, they had a product coming out of Mississippi and went into distribution centers, and they were supposed to make it to Minneapolis. This is also when the products will be damaged as well, like the dent in the microwave. My refrigerator was delivered completely dead on arrival. They installed it and told me it was gonna take 24 hours for it to cool. The next morning, its as hot as it was when they installed it. The fridge had to be completely replaced. Furthermore, it took almost 12 weeks for my range to be delivered. I was getting the runaround from Best Buy. I kept getting excuses on why they told me they couldnt find my range. I told them, How do you lose a 36-inch range? I dont understand. They said, Well, it didnt arrive. They were a no-show at the loading dock. I had used the range one day, it had a short in it and burned up the entire range. I know that these issues wasnt Vikings fault and I dont think they had any control over what was happening once it was purchased. I felt like the CEO of Viking needed to know about my experience because of the distribution. I did a Google search for the CEO of Viking, and I called and left a message for him on his voicemail. He called me within an hour. And the next day, I had resolution. I had appliances being delivered and everything being handled. They sent a Viking representative out of a smaller-type of distributor, and not a big box company. He was fantastic. Best Buy was putting all the blame squarely on Vikings shoulders because every time I would call them they told me that all the delays were because of Viking. It was ironic that once I did get a hold of Viking, the problem was handled within a day or two days. I would recommend Viking to a friend, although I would tell them never to buy through Best Buy.

We werent originally getting Viking Refrigerators but after looking at refr
We werent originally getting Viking Refrigerators but after looking at refrigerators, I liked the features on it and the quality of the refrigeration is good. It has the two doors on top and a door freezer. I like that the ice tray is not in the door because you lose space when it’s in the door, that was why we ended up going with Viking. I originally wanted refrigerators with the ice maker in the door, but it doesn’t work well with this kind of model. We got the Viking also because when you pull the ice tray, there are three drawers that pull out so when you do one pull of the drawer on the outside, the ice tray drawer comes out as well. It’s magnetized to the door and that’s a big feature. A lot of times with the other refrigerators. Once you open the drawer and then you get to pull another rack to get the ice, it’s two steps, which is annoying. This way, you pull it once and then you can get the ice. But when it was delivered, they took that feature off. It was on the showroom floor, but then they changed the model and they no longer did that feature so a part was ordered for us to put the back of that on the door. So now, it’s magnetized and the ice tray drawer pulls out. They were able to do that but they should put that feature back in. That was the selling feature for us. Thank goodness they were able to retrofit that. We had a problem with the doors. When you look at the two top doors, there’s a weave in the stainless steel on one side and there’s none in the other so we had the salesperson from Appliance World come in and checked it. She came, verified it and then went back to the reps who deal with the Viking people. They said that cosmetic problems are supposed to be told within three months, and we were six months out. I’m going to call my sales rep and tell her that I was not happy with that. She saw that there was a problem and I was told that one side door will be switched out. The other sales rep from Appliance World that deals with the repair people said, “You’re out of warranty. Sorry. Bye.” She wasn’t very nice. She also said, “I deal with these people all the time. Viking is not going to change their mind. Blah, blah, blah.” The other reason that we liked the feature is that we were able to create this to make it look like a built-in because Viking simply gives built-in refrigerator and this particular model is the only one they make that’s not a built-in. We have custom cabinetry so they made it look like it was a built-in and it came out nice. We didn’t want to spend the money on a built-in and this is not a built-in but we can make it look like one.

Weve already had three issues with the range. First, the wiring harness for the burners that they installed was wired backward so they came and fixed that. Then, the thermocouple in the oven was bad and it cycled way too frequently. It took a long time to get parts but its fixed. The third issue, which isnt resolved yet, is theres a warp in one of the panels. As the oven heats up, that warp kicks loose and we hear a bang. These issues should have been caught by decent quality control and they werent. But the oven works and I love it. I love how easy it is to clean and maintain and it cooks amazingly.

Both our built-in freezer and refrigerator were purchased brand new with extended warranties. Freezer constantly breaks down and the technician cannot fix it right away and they have to keep coming back to change parts and still it take 3 to 4 weeks sometimes to fix it. That is why I purchased a spare Kenmore freezer used for $200.00 and it works better than my $5000.00 dollars Viking freezer, it does not break down. The refrigerator is falling apart. All the drawers are all broken or cracked from change in temperature and the warranty does not cover bad quality products. In short my recommendation to all Americans is dont buy Viking, it is a very bad company with a big line of bad products and bad customer service. We bought the top-line Viking refrigerator as well as Viking oven and microwave through Best Buy, and Best Buy has been horrible. The communication around the third party that Best Buy uses for installation has all been really poor, and getting my appliances installed was the worst thing ever. First, the built-in $9,000-refrigerator was installed incorrectly. The installers failed to put a kickplate on the bottom of this refrigerator and they probably threw it away. So we had to have someone come out and that took a while. We’re easygoing people and we’re not that tough to deal with. However, I bought that refrigerator in early June and to this day, I dont have the kickplate yet, so that has been frustrating.Best Buy has a customer service troubleshooter that was assigned to us. That person was really nice but has been lousy on follow-up so we called and left messages. When I finally got a hold of Best Buy’s case manager, he said that Best Buy was told that the manufacturer did not have the kickplate in stock. So I told them that I was gonna call Viking, which I should have done early on. When I called, I spoke with their customer service person who was great and a really nice lady too. I asked her about the kickplate that is missing and she said they had them in stock, which was what I anticipated the whole time. We havent heard anything back yet, but a company is supposed to call us. Still, Viking is a premium brand and they have been responsive to us and the experience with them has been great.

They got it for me earlier than I thought I was gonna get it. One of the cast-iron grates was cracked and they got it replaced through Viking within a week. I like everything about the range. It fulfills my expectations and does what its supposed to do. It looks great and Im very happy with it. The fact that we just took off all the top panels to wash them is a miracle in itself. It lights when I want it to. It keeps the temperature where I want it in the oven.

We bought our Viking oven 4 1/2 years ago because I like to cook and wanted an oven that could stand up to that. Sadly, I have been very disappointed with the oven. From the beginning I noticed that the knobs on the front of the oven would get almost too hot to touch whenever I had the oven on over 400 degrees for a length of time. Two weeks ago the oven broke. We had to replace the DSI control panel at a cost of almost $700. The oven worked for one day and then broke again. Im now told I will have to wait 2 months for another DSI control panel to become available and I cant be certain that is even going to fix the problem. When I told the repairman I would never again buy a Viking, he said I should have bought a Wolf because he repairs about 10x as many Vikings as he does Wolf ovens. Wish I had known...

I bought the refrigerator through the Pacific Sales inside the Best Buy, but the delivery part of it was terrible. The people that were supposed to do the delivery and the installation screwed up twice. It was a 48-inch refrigerator, so its pretty heavy and large. The sales rep has specifically put in the requirement multiple men team to come for the installation, but twice they came out with only two guys and they weren’t able to do the installation. Other than that, the refrigerator has a nice design and has a quality feel to it. But I didn’t expect it to breakdown so early. The icemaker went out only less than a year that it was purchased. So I had to have it serviced.

The refrigerator door fell on my wife out of nowhere when she opened it. But Viking they did an exceptional job in making sure that my wife was okay and that we received a new unit. We couldn’t be happier with their response. I assume it was because of the liability and the potential for an injury. They also probably wanted to prevent that from ever happening again. We have three little kids and God forbid it was one of them who opened those doors. It weighs 150 to 200 pounds fully loaded. Viking said it has apparently never happened before but that can happen with any product. Still, we’re happy with the product, its looks and its performance. We’ve owned the Viking refrigerator for some time now, along with the oven, the microwave and the dishwasher. We have the whole Viking outfit. We also had issues with our oven and our dishwasher and they were diligent on those as well. The fan motor had to be replaced for our oven and they replaced the pump of our dishwasher.

We wanted to have a name brand appliance for our home and the cost point for Viking Range was slightly better. It has a noisy fan that runs after you run the stove and you turn it off and you’re having dinner and this thing just keeps running and running. There’s no adjustment to it and there’s no way to bypass it. It’s a deficient feature and that is a cause of some significant dissatisfaction. Other than that, I like it. It has good quality and Im pretty happy with it. We’re 9,000 feet and the gas nozzles were the wrong size for this altitude. The local guy from East River Appliance Repair was completely clueless and had really no value. I was ready to return the thing and I was really unhappy with it. But Viking was willing to bring a guy four hours from Denver up to Crested Butte, Colorado and fix a problem that the local guy was clueless about. The guy up from Denver was a real pro. He knew what he was doing and fixed everything. He said that the door was not primarily damaged and it could be adjusted. He saved the day for Viking. I thought the range was a defective unit and this guy was able to correct everything and showed that it wasnt defective. I’m pretty happy with the customer service I got.

I have purchased 2 Viking wall ovens within the past 12 years, one at a discounted rate because my first purchase with them only lasted five years with many, many repairs in between. First of all their hinges on the door break very easily, the door to the oven is very heavy and can withstand constant use. Once the hinges break, the oven door cannot seal properly and therefore the oven will not run. The broiler coils burn out very fast. The oven cooks well over temperature, so you can trust the exact temperatures. The lettering on the wall peels off very quickly. I did not use any chemicals on it and I always used a soft rag with water to try and clean it. The stove top I purchased as well and that is also in bad shape. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

The dealer, Mario, did an awesome job of telling us all the benefits. We ended up going with Viking because he said that they stood behind their product and he had never heard complaints from anyone. That was the bottom line where we ended up buying 30 some thousand dollars of equipment there from Best Buy. I bought an entire kitchen of Viking. We have a microwave, a wine cooler, the gas range and the hood. So, all we need is a ship now to be a complete Viking. The Viking refrigerator is good although some of the soft close drawers on the bottom of the refrigerator dont exactly soft close but Im not gonna go crazy over that as much as that thing cost us. I also had some issues with the icemaker but we got that resolved and it was more of a connection issue. We had some issues with our dishwasher and we had to have it replaced. Also, I’m disappointed that the French oven doors didnt seal correctly. But other than that, they look fine. Were working through the service folks that Viking recommended to us and right now, Im still waiting for those. But so far, Im very happy.

We were looking for a 48-inch gas range and the two choices on the market from the decent ones were a Wolf and a Viking. So I did the whole digging and Viking had a better reputation in the past, but it still has a good one right now. The oven was the main seller and once we decided to get that, the rest of the appliances followed. I found Viking on Frederick’s Appliances on Amazon initially and I ended up buying all my Viking directly there. They had better prices than all the stores. We like them so much and the griddle is my favorite feature by far. Viking Ranges has really good quality. However, weve had some trouble with our smaller compartment in Viking. It doesn’t work perfectly sometimes and weve had technicians coming over but it’s mostly being blamed on the altitude. We’re at 7,000 ft. We hardly ever use it, so I haven’t called them back. But everything else works perfectly. All in all, Viking has great products and great service.

So, I called in the place where we purchased it and then they said we still had a warranty for the refrigerator itself for Viking. So then I called them and put in a claim. I turned out that the latch from underneath the door was broken. We waited two weeks for the parts to be delivered. It also seemed that the doors were not levelled. Purchased Viking 48 wide by side in 2002. Compressor went out within 6 months, thankfully was under warranty. There was a door recall a few years later AND then another recall for those doors! The company that replaced the doors are familiar with Viking fridges and were able to to be somewhat helpful, suggesting we not place anything within 8 inches of any of the interior vents. We have NEVER been able to get the temp right. We have never been able to keep our fruits and veggies in the produce drawers as they become frozen. If we turn the temp down the milk goes bad, etc. Several of interior the plastic parts have broken under normal use: handle portion of ice maker drawer broke off in my hand, lid of bottom meat/produce drawer snapped off. Now the fridge lights have gone out (all simultaneously.) Try going to the Viking site to find a manual or worse yet parts. Everything there is SO difficult! They sent us a manual and I was able to download two, but none of them show the same control panel as what we have, since when there was a door recall, we received a new control panel as well... I feel sorry for the people that work for Viking. I will never purchase another Viking product. We purchased a high end Thermador range and KitchenAid Micro-Convection oven the same year and have had no problems with those appliances!

It would take days to fully explain all of the trouble weve had with our Viking refrigerator and freezer. They are both about five years old and have been nothing but trouble. The first freezer was deemed a lemon and was replaced just before we purchased our home. The replacement freezer has never worked properly. Over the past year, I have had the local repair company at my home about a dozen times. My children are familiar with the man. They greet him by name; we even got him a Christmas gift! That is how familiar we are with the repairman.Last March, the refrigerator stopped working. It took over a week just to have someone come and diagnose the issue. Then, the part we needed was on back order. We were without a refrigerator for over a month. As a wife and a mother of two young children, you can imagine the problems this caused. Once it was repaired, it worked for a few months, until we began having issues again in the summertime. We also had an ongoing issue with the freezer developing a sheet of ice on the back wall. On December 18, 2018, we had the repairman come for the issue with the ice in the freezer (I think this was his fourth time coming for that particular issue), as well as an issue with the refrigerator developing a sheet of ice behind the drawers. Each time we have one problem repaired, a new one comes up. I actually called Viking Customer Service and spoke in detail with a representative on February 12th. I explained that we had been without a refrigerator since December (in addition to the ice developing, there was another issue that caused the refrigerator to stop cooling). The part needed to repair this problem was on backorder. She was very kind and helpful and assured me she would return my call within 48 hours. I have yet to hear back from her.The cost to replace the refrigerator and freezer is over $20k. The fact that we have an appliance that is that expensive and it rarely functions properly is absolutely ridiculous. I would happily purchase another brand, but nothing is the same size as the Viking. Therefore, were looking at having to renovate our kitchen and change the cabinets to accommodate a new refrigerator and freezer. I had a sliver of hope after speaking to the customer service representative, but now I know that was too good to be true. Not only are the Viking products unreliable, they dont care about the consumer.I have never been so dissatisfied with a product or a company. I have spent countless hours on the phone with the repair company and days at home waiting on service. Ive wasted money on the repairs, not to mention the obscene amount of food, both refrigerated and frozen, that Ive had to throw away. I honestly cannot believe they are able to get away with selling these products.

Bought both (Viking 30 All Fridge, and Viking 30 All Freezer) as showroom models at a discount manufactured 2009 and 2006. Thought they would be under warranty. Problems began - freezer does not freeze my ice cream. They replaced the coils, the fan, the thermistor, the thermistor connector wire. And STILL it does not freeze my ice cream. I have to manually defrost the freezer, then it works ok for a week then back again. Fridge is another story. Started off randomly beeping once a month or so. So I turned off the fridge and turned it back on, and it seemed fine. That was 3 months ago. Now it does not stop beeping, and the fan does not come on. We replaced the thermistor, the powerboard and still it’s beeping. Viking has now told me it is no longer under warranty and so Im on my own. They cant understand why it beeps. Ive had 4 different technicians come out and they are at a loss. Viking does not want to speak to me, since I am not a technician, and have no warranty. Problem is, it’s not easy to replace a 60 space in the middle of the cabinets and I cant think of replacing the whole kitchen which is only 2 years old.

We purchased an expensive free standing gas range, model VGCC530-4BSS, because we were tired of having to fix our old electric range. From day one the front knobs got hot when the oven was on for a long period of time. We never really thought too much of it until just recently when the oven would quit working after being on for a while, for example, when cooking a turkey etc. Through my own investigation, along with limited help from Viking I figured out that the oven door doesnt seal at the top. There isnt an adjustment to rectify this problem. Viking suggested new hinges, at the bargain price of $120 each, which I fail to see making any difference as this has been an issue from day one. Not to mention I removed the door, inspected the hinges and could not find anything wrong with them. I strongly feel that the only solution to this problem is to buy a new stove, one that doesnt have the Viking label on the front. This will be our first and last Viking product EVER!

We purchased all new Viking appliances for a new home we built. The Viking dishwasher has never worked properly since the day we bought it. I never received a callback. I then emailed their west coast general manager, Randy **, who did not even take the time to respond. They have an arrogant group of people working there who are not interested in satisfying their customer. I am going to trash this dishwasher and buy one for 1/4 the price that will work ten times better than this one. I looked at the reviews for Viking and it seemed that it was a very good high-end product. I went ahead and did the upgrade with them. But the quality is not there compared to the KitchenAid product that was installed in most of the units that we bought. With the upgrade value, weve been having nothing but problems. We had to replace the bottom freezer drawer and its still not working. Its still uneven and the representatives couldnt get that straightened out. They had to go back again. Were still waiting to hear about whats gonna happen. Also, the side paneling where you have the temperature and the other things that you can do with the refrigerator was damaged. Its a brand-new refrigerator and I already had to have the door replaced. And theres no water dispenser in the refrigerator. Its totally not worth it and I regret it. Ive been telling other people not to get it. We also have the dishwasher and when you put it on the cycle, there will always be moisture inside. The dishes are drying but the moisture on the back and the front of the door when you open it still exists. That was weird. Ive never had a dishwasher that didnt fully dry. This one doesnt even have an upper level the feature where you can put the forks and knives. It was a big fail there. We also got a Viking stove and the fan belt is bent. If you wanna do the convectional oven feature, you would see that its making a weird noise. Its a brand new stove so why was this happening? And the knob on the stove were all scratched. That was another complaint. I registered the products and I placed the service ticket. They contacted the vendor or the wholesaler that the general contractor used. The general contractor is Resolute and they did the purchase of the Viking product through Appliance Center. Thats the wholesaler who then came out and did the service for us. One of the technicians admitted that he had a lot of issues with the Viking stove. He was aware of them because he does a lot of service calls for Viking stoves. It has not been a good experience for my husband and me. The only thing that we like is the microwave oven. That was the only one that didnt really give us any issues. All in all, I would not and I will never get another Viking again.

The refrigerator appeared to be nicely made, and it had a very nice exterior finish and design. It also had a good price point relative to other built-in fridges and a very nice incentive plan in effect when we made the purchase. I went from a freezer combo to this 42-inch side-by-side refrigerator. I love opening a smaller door whenever I go into the refrigerator. I really like the interior lighting and the space at the very bottom which allows you to put in a full pizza pie or deep-dish thing in there. Even though its a very shallow fridge, its got a fairly open spot at the very bottom, which I like a lot. All the bins seem to be very nicely made. Im pretty happy with the fridge. The only issue I have with the freezer is that the cold air from the freezer compartment coming into the refrigerator comes in at one spot at the top. So things next to that will have a tendency to freeze, especially if something warm is put somewhere else in the fridge.I bought the Viking refrigerator from Best Buy and they were helpful. They had difficulties in the delivery mostly because of supply shortages and also in terms of getting here in the time frame that my association allows. The biggest issue I had was that they didnt install the refrigerator properly. They never screwed it in. They left about a 3/4-inch gap above the fridge in the cabinets. I went online and figured out how to jack it up, which I did, and leveled it and screwed it in. So all looks great now. But I did most of the installation myself because the guys didnt know how to do it. It didnt bother me that much because I didnt pay a separate installation fee. But it would have been more helpful if they told me the truth that they arent gonna install it and I should hire someone to do it.

However, I found that Viking appliances as a whole are very simplistic. Its great in a refrigerator, but not so much in some of the other appliances. I had Jenn-Air previously and their appliances just had more features. But for refrigeration, it just needs to keep cool things cool and frozen things frozen.
