My wife liked Viking Ranges because of its quality. The last couple of ranges that we bought were not Viking and we didn’t like them. We bought our Viking Range through a retailer in Tupelo. We’re happy with it but we have an issue with condensation coming from underneath when we’re running the oven. We paid extra for this trim piece on the bottom that goes on the front so things wouldnt go up underneath the stove. Then the hot air coming from the oven is causing that water to condensate and drip out. Also, the fan is really loud for the convection oven.

I liked the durability. However, I am so unhappy. I purchased the refrigerator then right away, I noticed a sound. I called in two weeks after I purchased the refrigerator because of the sound. Viking sent a repair person. They replaced the motor. And now, it has another sound that’s bugging me, so I rescheduled another appointment. I realized I had felt it but I was always in a hurry. The handles are giving shocks off. I had an electrician go in yesterday. And for some reason, he passed by the refrigerator with his gadget to detect electricity, and there’s electricity running through the handles where we open it. And he said, “Whoa, call them immediately tomorrow. Get them over here. This could be dangerous.”I was talking to Viking regarding this and I paid $4,000 for this refrigerator. They were sending me repair people. And Pacific Sales told me they only had a 14-day exchange, and Viking will only do repairs. Now, with this issue, I want a replacement. I dont want to settle for a repair but they want to keep repairing everything, so I’m going to call them this morning and see how were going to address this issue.

I bought my home 2 1/2 yrs ago with a really beautiful kitchen. All appliances are Viking and the agent kept telling me they are the best products on the market. We have the two drawer pull out dishwashers. From the time we bought the house they do not clean anything properly. I have had technicians out various times, some telling us that cascade powder doesnt work and we must use gel capsules. Even if we wash the dishes thoroughly before they dont come out clean. I need them to work as they match everything in my kitchen. My viking microwave also doesnt work properly so I just use it to reheat. This house was remodelled around 5 yrs ago and from the time we moved in it was terrible. Who needs to clean dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher to find them still marked when you take them out. My daughter has the same crockery set and has a cheap dishwasher and hers come out spotless. Please someone help me as I need everything to match in my kitchen. Viking service are a waste of time and money. Thanks.

We worked with a design studio on a kitchen project and Viking came recommended. We had purchased multiple products from them. We wanted to stay consistent with a line. And so, we bought an oven, a cooktop, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator. So far, the refrigerators quality is all right. However, the ice falls out sometimes behind the bottom shelf in the freezer. Other than that, I enjoy the style of it.

I like the look of Viking Refrigerators and it was a right fit for what we needed. So we got a package deal from them and ended up getting two refrigerators. They’ve been great up until a month ago where unfortunately, one of them malfunctioned. The refrigerators are in our vacation home, and the gentleman who came out and checked it said the foam came loose and got caught in the fans. There was no coolant happening and no fans were going off, and it was heating up the temperature so all of the fixtures on the doors cracked from the heat. The food in my refrigerator also cooked for about two weeks, so it took 11 hours for the cleaners to get it cleaned and it still smells.I was still hoping that Viking will get it fixed, but parts have to be ordered and the gentleman who came out and told me to put coffee or charcoal in the refrigerator also said that the inside of my refrigerator got cooked. Its now beige and is off color. He said if I can live with that, then my refrigerator will probably be okay. But I was asked what I wanted and I said Id like the refrigerator replaced because it’s clear that theres something wrong and they came out and confirmed it. But theyre going to send all the pieces to put it together, and thats very silly to replace all the stuff as I don’t think my refrigerator is going to be all right because of the inside coloring. Its going to cost them as much for each of those drawers because everything inside the refrigerator wasn’t metal and most of the shelvings cracked and completely dropped to the bottom of the refrigerator, smothered in whatever food I had there, and it was just not good.My second Viking refrigerator, a small one that’s on the counter by my stove, also decided to kick out, which is weird because Viking is usually a very good product. The tech said he’s seen it on three others in his time and he’s worked for 20 years on Viking, but he’s never seen it this bad. So I hope they do the right thing and replace the product because it clearly was faulty. I think its a great product. Its sleek and I loved it, but Im still a little frustrated. Its been two weeks and I haven’t heard anything back, so Im going to call and see what was happening with my refrigerator.

My wife likes cooking so we wanted to buy a professional-level range. We got one from Viking Range and it has an oven and convection and it heated up very fast to the temperature that I set up when broiling. But when I tried to do baking and set up the temperature to 300 it never heated up to 300. I thought there were some ignition issues so I tried for a couple of times and sometimes it worked but sometimes it didn’t. I planned on trying more times to see exactly what the issues were. I also called them before to tell them what the issues were and they said they couldn’t help unless I register my product so I did. And when I called them back I waited for around five minutes but they were busy and I couldn’t get an answer so I just hung up and stopped trying. The call didn’t go to voicemail as well but they were nice during the conversation with them. Overall, it was good. My wife cooks all the time using it and I notice that the power is really strong. We have six burners and the heat is very consistent and in general I like it a lot.

I built a new kitchen in 2012. We splurged on a Viking fridge and have had trouble from day 1. The freezer broke every year, the defrost function in the freezer didnt work correctly, so the freezer would turn off and melted water would flow out. We finally had to get an upgraded compressor because the one in the fridge wasnt big enough. Big money. This year, the cooling fan stopped working in fridge. This was 3 weeks ago. My appliance repair contractors spent a week trying to contact service. Finally they sent a part, 3 days later… So now I face the 4th of July summer holiday, no fridge. I feel like I should order multiples of the 4 fan I need, fully expecting this will happen again. Viking, good name, bad product.

I have an electric oven from Viking Ranges and it works okay. They had somebody who was very good at installing it. The only thing is we have a little problem with taking one of the racks out in the oven. We have no problem with the others and we can pull them out all the way. We have a problem with holding one of them and we thought maybe were doing something wrong. If I cant figure it out, Im going to call somebody to look at it because I have insurance on it.But other than that, I like it. I like that I can go off to the other side on the top and that I could move from one area to another easily. I like that its apple red because I dont like the stainless steel which is so hard to clean. I also like the way the knobs are covered from the top and its size. I like everything about it. My friend also has a Viking and she only has broil and regular bake on it. I like the simpler one but mine has all these other options that Im working on how to figure it out. I recommend it and I already had to a friend because of my experience in New Hampshire.

I wanted to get a really good refrigerator that would last a long time. I know Vikings top of the line products and so weve purchased refrigerators from them. Our first one had a water dispenser on the inside of the door. When we tried using the dispenser it wouldnt work as the water line kept freezing up. We ended up getting another refrigerator but a different model without a water dispenser, which is what we really wanted. The second one worked fine and then it stopped making ice. A service guy came out five times, replaced the ice maker twice, replaced the track twice and he said the water line was fine but he couldnt understand why its not making ice. So hopefully, this third refrigerators a charm. I hope it stays working and it seems to be fine. It makes some weird noises sometimes. It probably has something to do with the water line and the connection for the ice maker. But other than that, its producing ice. So far, so good.

The refrigerator (DFRB304L) was leaving a puddle on the floor in front. The repairman was clueless. Luckily, my son is an engineer and he took all the shelves out and took the inside back off in order to find the poorly engineered problem and caulk it. His repair worked. Also, the clear parts of the drawers all cracked. This is obviously a quality control problem, but when I contacted them, their response was that the refrigerator was out of warranty. At that time, it was only just. I really thought that a company like that would stand behind its products, but my eyes have been opened! They clearly dont care if you never buy another appliance from them.

Their team was very good. But the refrigerator broke within a few months of installing it. The ice maker went out on it and I some trouble adjusting the doors. Theres not enough throw in the adjustment screws to be able to get the doors to sit perfectly square. When I talked to the folks about it on the Viking helpline, we did everything they said. Its just outside of the adjustment cycle of the screw so, its a little bit crooked. So, I had to have some warranty work done to it and they were pretty quick on the warranty stuff. I was happy with that. Other than that, its a good looking refrigerator.

We bought this range 10 years ago, brand new for $6000. We have had it repaired by Viking authorized dealers 4 times over the years for $500 each time. All problems were electric failures. I wrote to Viking the first time it broke, (on Thanksgiving no less), after owning it for 18 months, and they never responded. They have poor customer service and do not stand behind what they sell. Our range has broken again and were done with it. Well be selling it on offer up. I would advise never buying a Viking product.

We wanted to redo our kitchen and we’ve known Viking for years. My husband wanted them and Viking was the only one who had the French Oven Doors which I wanted. I have used the oven, the refrigerator, the microwave and the ice maker. Our other refrigerator was so deep that you were constantly digging for stuff. The Viking ref is less deep, tall and I can see what’s there when I open the door. We bought it in Best Buy since we live in Hawaii and we were very limited on where we could go for certain things. It did not go well because it took us four hours to order when we already had all the model numbers. They worked with us but it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Nevertheless, weve been really pleased with what weve got and we’re happy.

We have a lot of friends who own Viking appliances, both refrigerators and stoves. This is our first Viking fridge and we love it. I like the bottom drawer for the freezer cause we got the big swing door. It was a little bit hard to install because it had to be in a wall unit. Other than that, were happy with the product itself. We were fine with the dealer, however, we are still missing pieces of equipment, such as pieces of trim. We had someone from Viking come over and he supposedly ordered the trim pieces. Its been a month and we still havent seen him though. Then, theres a spacer between the hinged top when the door swings open that was broken. We are missing that little barrier in between, to keep it from swinging more than 180 degrees. Still, I would recommend Viking refrigerators.

Its unbelievable to me that a brand that cultivates a premium quality image, and commands (demands?) top prices from consumers, designs and builds such a shabby product. FIRST ISSUE: over the past couple of years, two plastic refrigerator door shelves developed cracks, and shattered like glass without warning, dropping the shelf contents all over my floor. These were not overloaded shelves. THIS IS AN ENGINEERING ISSUE: CHOOSE A PLASTIC THAT DOES NOT GET BRITTLE IN COLD TEMPERATURES.Incredibly, each time this has happened, Viking Parts Department charged me nearly $200 per replacement shelf (Really? For the price of this refrigerator you wont replace a defective part as a courtesy?); so far Ive spent $400 on replacement shelves and I have another shelf that now is developing new cracks so I guess Ill be paying another $200 for that replacement shelf soon. Or maybe I should just not use door shelves?? SECOND ISSUE: no matter how I set the refrigerator thermostat, the vent located above the top refrigerator shelf outputs freezing temperatures. So while my refrigerator thermostat is set currently to 43 degrees, anything located on the upper left refrigerator shelf (water pitcher, juice, milk, etc.) freezes solid. THIS IS AN ENGINEERING ISSUE.Ive experienced a lifetime of different refrigerator brands, from basic Frigidaire, GE to Subzero, all have worked as intended. Certainly never had to replace plastic shelves for my cheapo Frigidaire, and nothing freezes on the top shelf of that refrigerator. So I guess you got an additional $400 from me in replacement parts (soon to be another $200), but Ill never buy a Viking-branded appliance again (dont get me started on the Viking range issues Ive experienced).

Viking has always had a good reputation and it competes with Wolf and Sub-Zero. The refrigerator that we got is cool and the range works well but weve been disappointed with the dishwasher. It doesnt dry well and weve told the dealer about it. A friend of ours got the same dishwasher we did and theyre equally displeased with it. Were both used to a competitor brand called Miele and their products are much better and put Viking to shame. We also got undercounter wine coolers from Viking and theyre a good product too and theyre very nice.

My beautiful Viking refrigerator with freezer on the bottom was not quite three years old when the freezer section starting to build up ice to the point where I could not open the freezer door. Luckily it was still under warranty and the repairman installed a heater probe kit to keep ice from forming. Not quite one year later the problem occurred again. The repairman came and repaired it. Now we are 35 days later and the problem has occurred again. Viking’s solution is to install a new heater kit. That’s a total of three times in 14 months. I asked Viking if they could help with this latest service charge but they said ‘no’ because it is no longer under warranty. I think if people are having this problem repeatedly they should either find a remedy or replace the refrigerators. I think Viking should stick to ranges.

Well, in the event that a Viking representative would ever read these reviews, I thought I would add our experience. We have a 48 side by side professional unit which, thank heavens, the previous owners paid for, not us. I would definitely give 1 star if we were the ones out $11,000... The day we moved in there was a puddle of water on the floor under the freezer side. Since that day - 6 months ago - we have had a technician out 4 times for the same problem. He has tried multiple solutions. One day the freezer just quit working. So much ice had built up inside that the fan broke. Now the second fan has broken. The contents of our freezer have just melted for the second time. We eventually said, Forget the ice maker! Who needs ice?! Just disconnect the water from the freezer! And today, again, the freezer is dead and water is puddling on the floor. Its a mystery to us, and obviously the technician. Since we cant afford to replace this beast - and dont really want a gigantic built-in space with a tiny-looking regular fridge in it - we are going to buy a freezer for our garage and just use the fridge side! Maybe I can use the freezer to store extra light bulbs and paper towels...I will never buy Viking!

We have a full suite of Viking appliances. Its pricey but we chose them for their reputation and style. My wife likes the refrigerator more but I find it a little too shallow. Everythings up front. But aesthetically, its very pleasing and it goes with the other appliances as well as the rest of the redone kitchen, and it’s so far, so good. Initially, we had a problem with the refrigerator. It was probably within the first month. Id found a puddle of water below the freezer on the floor. I did not appreciate that at all. It had gone into a defrost mode unexpectedly, and we had to throw everything in the freezer away. The icemaker has that bar that will cut it off as it slows up. That doesnt work. The ice overflows and ends up on the bottom of the freezer. It’s never turned itself off, so you have to turn it off manually to stop the ice being generated. Otherwise, if you pull out the top shelf of the freezer, its higher than the rod because it pushes it out of it, pushes it to the back and out the back, off the end. Were not the only ones. We speak to other people who have it, and they say they have the same issue. From what I understand, there is no fix. It just doesnt do what you thought it would do. Thats something that from a design perspective should be looked at.

Im a fireman and we have professional restaurant quality ranges so Im familiar with Viking. I like the style, quality and price of my Viking range. It needed a little bit of adjustment and thats about it. I also like the fact that it allows to heat up the pots, and the oven heats up really well so its very efficient. The dealer and delivery crew were great. And the service person has been here to look at it for a couple of issues. It was perfect. Overall, I got a good product for the money I paid and the individuals there at Viking really tried to help me when I called them up with an issue. That was when I noticed it was damaged. There were two pit marks in it and with the amount of money I spent for it, I didn’t want a damaged griddle. I love everything about my Viking range. This is probably my fourth Viking. The two homes I purchased had Viking Ranges in them previously. Then I have a home down in the Dominican Republic, and that range in there is around 30 years old. I just replaced the igniters on it, and it works like its brand new. Its amazing. I like the longevity. The price point is pretty high, but they last forever. Were still waiting on service for the range in my house. The far right bottom igniter has never worked. The service people are coming back out tomorrow, but this is their third visit. I’m a little apprehensive because they took the whole panel off on the front where there are 10 adjusting knobs. I told them, “Guys, its the igniter. I dont know if youre supposed to do that.” One tech said, “Well, I ordered this part, but my boss says its another part.” I told him, “But your boss wasnt here diagnosing it originally.” So thats kind of ass-backwards and the guy was here for about four hours. Also, Ive noticed that when I turn on the gas, sometimes the flame is higher on one side than the other. I had to keep turning on the pan when I was cooking.

I saw Viking Ranges a few times and I liked the quality that it provided and how everything was cast-iron, durable. I like to cook so I told my wife if we’re going to upgrade the kitchen, I’m going to go all-out and get the stove that I want. Something that blended a little bit and had that commercial, restaurant look, and Viking was definitely a factor and their warranty was a big reason too. It is what I was looking for. I also looked at some of the higher-end products but I thought of just getting the one that I want with a higher quality. I got the 30” Series 5 and I like its broiling infrared feature. I also bought a range hood for the top. I already told my wife that if we sell the house, they’re either going to have to pay cash for the appliances or they’re coming with me. I went through Elite Appliance and the shipping was free and the delivery was on time. They had it tracked for me. I got a good deal on my 5 Series. So, I was really happy with them. I would definitely recommend Viking Ranges to whoever is upgrading their house. I know it’s hard. People don’t want to spend that kind of money on a stove. My wife still thinks I’m crazy, but every time somebody comes over, it’s the wow-factor. They walk in and say, “Wow, it’s a beautiful stove.” It makes the kitchen almost like a chef-style kitchen and that’s what I like about it.

We previously had a Sub-Zero refrigerator and we love it. We had the long handles with the furniture door front on it. My wife wanted to have something that evoked that look. We knew that we did not want to go for Sub-Zero appliances again in this remodel in Florida so we went with the Viking refrigerator because there was a point price differential and it was attractive. Plus, the gas stove was decent, too. However, our problem with the refrigerator has been directed towards the cosmetics. The skin is just ridiculously thin and every door that we had delivered had dents in it. In the light, you can clearly see the dents and there are also obvious manufacturing issues such as the bottom freezer door. The top lift of it has the same three dings on the upper lift, through every door that weve seen in the same spot, so its clear that there is something on the assembly line that ticks these door fronts up and moves them along the line. My wife went online and spoke with somebody at the local Viking place down here. The authorized Viking dealer where we bought it and we dealt with has been wonderful and the refrigerator is working fine. But its just so aggravating to look at the refrigerator and see these little reflections off of dents and it really makes it look like not a quality product.

The new house I bought already had a Viking range and everything else, except for the refrigerator. I then bought a Viking fridge. All is great except with the ice-maker, which is annoying. Ive already had to have it replaced. Its a brand new machine, and every time I open up the door, the ice falls down. It is horribly designed. They should have figured it out. The ice machine is not one of those where you put a cup into it. Its just like a normal ice machine where one has to open up the door. So every time I open up the door, the ice falls down the back side and then I cant shut the door until I go down on all fours and pull it out from that.

We’ve been told that Viking is one of the best in that price range and this is our second Viking range so it has excellent quality. Now, I have six burners as opposed to four. Our new stand-alone stove has stainless steel knobs but our old built-in electric stove has black knobs. I wanted to match the knobs but Viking doesnt offer the option to change the black ones with stainless steel. It’s frustrating that the older models and the newer models can’t mesh together. But aside from that, I had another part replaced and it was very easy.

We purchased a Viking Range from an online retailer but then our experience was rocky in the beginning. They gave us 24 hours to inspect it but then the stove showed up during a Christmas vacation time wherein family members are at the house. A lot was going on so we got a quick look over but not as in depth as it should have been. So, once the holidays were over and we got ready to install it, we found that it had significant damage both internally and cosmetically. Though it took a while to go back and get it remedied, once we got to the agreement that I could replace it, it was fine. The issue was because I exceeded their 24-hour period to inspect and their sales rep said that you guys would not repair any cosmetic damage. Still, they gave us options and one of which was to replace the stove with a new one. That was the one I took.

We had built a new home and were interested in top of the line appliances. Wolf and Viking Ranges stood out, but we decided to go with Viking since we got a good price from them and it fits what I was looking for. I got a six-burner range, a grill and two ovens from them. In my kitchen, I have a total of three ovens since we do a lot of the holiday stuff here. It works out beautifully when I’m doing Thanksgiving, Christmas or when I’m trying to cook a big meal. I have enough room for everything. The top is gas and the ovens are electric. I love the fact that I have a griddle there. Everyone can be working on something so it works out well for my family. We’ve had a good experience, up until were trying to get the small oven fixed. We had a problem with it and a chip needed to be replaced. So we had the workman out and were waiting for him to replace it. We had to argue a little to get them to come out to fix what was wrong and that was a bit of a problem. I got upset but my husband managed to calm down and get them to do what they needed to do to repair the oven. But Im still waiting for it to be fixed.

I had only been using my Viking Refrigerator for five months when the freezer would all of a sudden stop working. Then certain parts of the refrigerator would freeze things. I had to have someone keep coming out. They techs came pretty quickly but then I had to keep having to wait for parts and COVID. They came at least 3 times to change parts and I wasnt able to use the freezer part of the refrigerator for six months. Finally, I had to get another refrigerator. I wouldnt ever go and purchase a Viking appliance myself.

Purchased about six months ago and I have been picking up ice off the floor several times a day since! It overproduced ice into the bucket and when you open freezer ice falls out. I contacted customer service and a technician came to house. After consulting Viking directly it was found that this is a known problem and there is no fix for our model. I was told I need to lift the ice handle to stop making ice and put it down again when I need more. Can’t believe I have to make my own ice for a fridge that cost close to $10,000! The rep I purchased the fridge from contacted Viking to see if I could return and the answer was NO! Very disappointed!

The quality of the service from Viking is pretty good and their reps have been great. On the very top of the refrigerator door where you put the butter, it has these little flimsy plastic doors that hang over. When you shut the refrigerator, the plastic doors open and the butter comes out. Viking could make those a little bit more stationary or stick more. I also had to have someone come because the ice maker wasnt working. But the problem was they could only come and service our house on Tuesdays and Thursdays but wed be at work. So its hard to have someone come out to service the ice maker. They were great about getting to send someone out but I had to cancel it because I thought I was going to be able to have someone here. I cant have someone here all day and then theyll call and give me a two-hour window that day.

The construction manager who helped us through the renovation recommended Viking and I was familiar with the company itself. As a profession, I have dealt with them professionally for hotels and restaurants. I knew the brand and the quality has been very good. However, I have issues with the dishwasher because it takes two hours to do what a normal one does. Also, the keyboard is not customer-friendly. There are a lot of buttons to push and usually, it takes a while for it to get to the program it needs to be washed. On the other hand, I love the refrigerator, oven and microwave. I wish the ice maker is larger but everything I have is good and I just have to master using the dish machine. The Viking dealer did a great job. They walked me through, helped me to get a credit line and delivered when they said they were gonna do it, so I was very pleased with them I appreciate everything Viking has done and I will recommend them to friends.

Also, some of the lights aren’t working and we have to replace them. We love the industrialized look, but looking at this is a $10,000 refrigerator, one would think that these issues wouldnt be happening, but they are. I did a lot of research on the internet on various high-end stoves and I looked to see about the problems with repairs. I knew that Viking was having a lot of issues before it was bought out a few years ago, but I saw that they had redone a lot of the parts and re-designed them. Their newer reviews were fine, too. They were pretty similar to the other high-end stoves. So, my wife decided Viking was the one she liked the most based on the way it looked. However, there was a scratch which was fairly deep on the stove door. It was installed about a month ago and I didn’t notice until right after the installers left. I was looking at the back of the stove when they took it off the truck. So I called up the store and sent them a picture right away. They acknowledged that it was obviously a problem because its not caused by me. I suggested they just send me a door and I would replace it myself as it is easy to install. I would just send them the old one if they wanted to. But Viking wouldn’t do that for some reason. They sent me a whole new stove. We also got side trim because we have a stone countertop that didn’t have a perfectly straight edge. The side trim makes the stove look like a slide-in type range. We couldn’t use the screws to install the side trim because they stick out and we can’t fit in a normal countertop within a 30-inch distance. It was kind of odd, but it’s no big deal. We just used the side trim and laid it in there, and it worked fine. Other than those, everythings fine. My wife is happy with the Viking stove. She loves it. We like the top of the stove the most. Also, when I had a question about how to remove the lower grate, the Viking rep answered the question right away.

Viking had a sale going on. The refrigerator I was looking at was discounted and with the rebate I was getting, that put it in a price range that was comparable to Sub-Zero. Plus, the store was saying that they have had good success with the refrigerator and that people liked it. I decided to take a chance on their technology. So far, food doesnt go bad in it and I love it. The refrigerator has technology that pulls out the gas that makes food go bad. Before, I would wind up throwing so much food out because it goes bad by the time I get around to cooking. Now, I make less stops at the grocery store. Additionally, water that that comes from my Viking tastes really good. Its much better than the GE Monogram that I used to have. However, the ice maker has a little wire bar that comes down when the ice tray fills up. Its supposed to set off but then it goes a little overboard such that I find ice outside the ice tray. Still, this was the only thing that was wrong. This is the second Viking that I have had and I have been very pleased with the service. With the first one I had, there was moisture building up on the inside. Everything was getting wet inside that refrigerator and almost every day I had to wipe it down. I complained and Viking sent servicemen out a couple of times. They couldnt figure out why the door wasnt sealing properly. They told me that they couldnt figure out the issue and that they would just get me a new refrigerator. I didnt have to pressure them so much and they gave me a new unit that works. So far, it works fine and its beautiful. I like the way its saving me money through not wasting food. Ive already recommended Viking to other people. I let people who have stayed at my place see it and I tell them about the refrigerators technology. They have been saying its a beautiful refrigerator.

Viking is reasonably priced and is a decent-looking commercial brand. I like my refrigerator. The quality is fantastic. I like the size of it. It’s big and bulky, and probably a waste of time and money but I like it. I also got a stove, a little 30- or 36-inch, the hood, the microwave, the dishwasher and then I have a wine cooler. But I wasn’t that happy with the people. They didnt take me seriously, first of all. I went and spent like $20,000 or so and then I spent more, and they were acting like idiots. They didnt know half of what was going on with what they were selling. They didnt sell anything, actually. If I hadnt known what I was gonna get, I wouldn’t have a clue. But I had done all my investigating ahead of time. I’m a contractor too so I’ve seen stuff. The delivery service was terrible as well. They dropped my fridge when they delivered it and if I hadnt been there that day, it wouldve rolled over. I thought people who would sell this material would be told they better put their heart into it and act like they know what theyre doing. But they didnt actually have that. So Viking is not being represented so well where I bought it from. That was not a Viking dealer that I went through though. It was just a store that sold their products. It wasn’t actually Pacific Sales or Snyder Diamond. The Pacific Sales store over in Burbank is very attentive. I just don’t like going so far but when I do go, theyre all over you.

Also, one of the four burners and the middle burner were not working, and the tech must have ordered parts for that too because he came to fix those. Theyre all resolved now and I’m happy that it’s working. I love the cooking quality level of the burners. We’re personally having a struggle ‘cause I need to get the range installed with a hood to vent it properly because it sets off my fire alarm. The person who installed said that I cannot use the clean setting ‘cause it would be too hot. I cleaned it out by hand, and then the person who came to fix it said that its not true. Within 20 minutes of using the clean setting, it set off my fire alarm again, even with a cover. There’s something about using it that it can’t do that. I bought a standing range that has an oven underneath and for me, the main feature is the oven. The responsiveness of the oven, the temperature control, and the consistency in its convection oven are excellent. Also, the reason I chose Viking has to do with the type of burners that they have and the difference between a direct flame versus an indirect flame. It really has to do with your cooking preferences. I like direct heat. Unbelievable, but after 3 months and some limited use, our outdoor grill burned through the light wires and short circuiting the house. After finding the tripped fuse switch, we tried it again with the lights off. It worked once and then the burner fell off as it had melted. Viking says that this $6,000 plus range actually wont let us close the canopy and heat it up. They said to just put the food on and it will eventually get done (have they ever tried a turkey or even a chicken breast). They say that people call in all the time with burned wires and knobs falling off, and that you really arent supposed to warm it up (contrary to what the manual says). In fact, the canopy thermometer must be a decoration as its never going to go up at all! Id like to return this sucker, and I do accuse this company of fraud!

When we first took delivery of our Viking stove (double oven, 4 burners and grill) the larger of the two ovens didnt work and the computer motherboard had to be replaced. The company servicing it was great so the impact was minimal. Within the first few months, the black finish on the grease trough, although never used, started to peel, exposing the shiny metal underneath. Since it is so visible on top of the stove, I reached out to Brigade (the new name for Viking in Canada) for a replacement part, under warranty. After much waiting on hold, and back and forth emails, they agreed to send the replacement part.I waited five months only to find out that the order was never placed and a new company has taken over their parts distribution. They have informed me that since my warranty has now expired, they will SELL me the part at a discount. How nice! This stove, which looks beautiful, was meant to be a once in a lifetime purchase. Not only is it showing early signs that it wont stand up to normal use, the lack of customer service is disheartening! I wish I loved my stove but I dont and would not recommend a Viking/Brigade due to the poor customer service.

I purchased my Viking side by side built in refrigerator in 2011... I have had ongoing problems... The dealer sent out a technician with a list of problems we were having... Water freezing within the door to dispenser, rattle within the grille, door hinge catches and pings when opened and closed. After a couple of times with dealer technician, they sent me to a local authorized Viking repair business. Numerous technicians were sent out to work on previous problems and then we started adding additional problems... The back wall piece that ice tray connected to came loose, and again no ice or water dispensing. Auger motor broke. As to date, 2014 I am still contacting technicians to repair my frig. I just contacted Viking direct and wanted to know what can be done! She apologized and apologized and yet said that Viking will not take any steps to review and/or replace my messed up refrigerator... I was so displeased. The Viking appliances are high-end and I paid quite a nice ticket price for a kitchen full of Vikings... And being American made, which is why we chose Viking. We thought they would be a service quality company. Not the case in my experience. I would not recommend Viking appliances.

I purchased a Viking refrigerator thinking that the product would be great. I have owned Viking grills and loved them, the quality was amazing and they lasted! I was wrong. The refrigerator is so loud, it hisses, seems to continuously run and makes a banging noise when it is running, rarely shuts down and when it does shut down (for 5 minutes) it makes such loud popping noises you would think a car is backfiring. I tried to return it to the appliance store but they told me it was a special order fridge and cannot be returned. I am so disappointed and feel like the $3250.00 plus tax that I paid was thrown out the window! I recently saw on the news about a refrigerator exploding and I am nervous that this one will do the same. I will not purchase another Viking fridge and also will not shop at Bill Smith Appliances in Fort Myers FL again!

Viking is amazing and they have come a long way. I’ve owned all different versions and as a contractor, I put them in a lot of different things. The new ones are great. I chose them over Wolf at the time due to their price. However, the door wasn’t set right and the light broke. So I’ve been waiting for them to order the part, come in here and finish it. Other than that, I love the range. The guys did a good job and theyre very consistent. I called to the Viking team once and they were very helpful. They should give more information such as the steps in using a gas oven for cooking and send that out, but so far so good with my Viking range.

I own a Viking range and I use them for customers. When I built a new home, they were clearing out at the Ferguson showroom and there was a Viking and a Thermador. The Thermador was under warranty in a matter of a year and that was good. It was a 48-inch, it went through bolts and boards, and it went through the heating element. So it went through a lot and to me, that was not great. Its convection also had a huge loud sound and I didnt like that at all. On the other hand, the Viking was very quiet and I really liked it a lot better. So I gave it a shot and purchased it online. I could have gone through the dealer in Salt Lake, but I would have had to pay taxes. If I had to do it again, though, Id probably go with the dealer thats close because I had to return one item and it has been a real pain. At first, they told me that they were not going to take the part back. But it was still in the box and we couldnt install the back part because there wasnt enough room. And we didnt know that until we got the back part. Then, they said they would take it back, but I had to ship it back and it was a double package so it would cost $75 to ship it. It also took forever for them to acknowledge they got it and when they said they have issued the credit, I still hadnt seen it. Overall, I love Viking and its various simmers. Its a beautiful stove and it works great. Its also functional and very effective. Its commercial great, too, so its worth the money. But I really wanted to get certain features and to get them, I had to keep upgrading. Then, when we moved, I had to downgrade to a 30-inch. So, that was hard when I had the nice, big double ovens. They should also make the colored ones cheaper so I could get the beautiful cobalt blue or the red one. I love the easy glide over rack as well and I want to know where to purchase it.

I build houses and I recommend Viking to all my customers. However, I didnt like the range that I got from them that I bought from Nebraska Furniture Mart. The handle on it broke and they sent out a service guy to fix it. I took a video with my phone of exactly what was wrong so there was no reason for them to come out without the part. However, the guy from Viking still came out without the part that he needed. Then, two months later, he came out with the part and fixed the unit. For three months, I had to go without my middle burner thermostat controller working, which was unacceptable for a $7,000 stove. Ive given you guys countless customers when I build homes. How am I going to be able to recommend Viking after the experience I just had?

My stove didn’t work very well on Thanksgiving. We leave the bird cooking in the oven and weve put a timer. But when we go check it, the oven was off. We turn it back on and it lights on. And then when we go back to check, it was off again. That happened three times. But I have no complaints over their services. Overall, Id still recommend Viking.

If you have invested in a Viking Oven or Range - you know that it is just that - an INVESTMENT. Or at least it is supposed to be. A $7,000 oven should not have any issues, not at 1 year or even at 5 years, frankly, with nothing but normal domestic use. I understand that the warranty is expired - and we didnt expect a completely free solution. Admittedly, I am severely disappointed that a name like this doesnt stand behind the product for ten years! Our expectation was that the company could at least have a certified service technician it recommends - at a reasonable Viking supported rate. Not referring us to a technician that costs $200 JUST to come out and look at the oven - not even DO anything!? They are viking certified and cant tell over the phone if there is any common problems - of course - it will be $200 to come out for what will probably take 10 minutes. Then there will be the time to order a part and then come back out at $50 per 30 minutes for labor. The reason we spend more up front on quality is to not have these issues. Its a shame that as I look online I see this Name is now riding on a reputation they no longer uphold. I see countless complaints about quality - and Viking is no different than ikea as far as standing by a product. Shameful.

The (Microwave/convection) oven was 3 months old when it started making a noise. Viking arranged for a service tech take a look at it. During that service appointment, the oven blew a circuit in our home and quit working. That was 6 months ago and I STILL dont have my oven. After 3 separate appointments and still no resolution, Viking still refuses to replace the oven and insists on yet another service appointment. I would NEVER recommend Viking to anyone! Viking Refrigerator had the most cubic feet in all refrigerator units in 2006. I owned one since 2006 but there was a corrosion issue in it which caused some problems. The warranty honored most of the repairs and it had been fixed. Then I just put in a replacement for the 2006 model that I had. I have high expectations that this new one will be a little more durable. The interior lighting on the new one is great and the accuracy of the temperature seems to be very good. The only drawback is they are extremely expensive. They jumped in cost tremendously from the first time I bought it. But it would have cost even more to reset the space for a different model. So I went ahead and bought a second Viking. Other than that, Im happy with the performance of it. The length of the order time for the new refrigerator was really excessive. I ordered this new unit in October in hopes of getting it in before the holiday season cause I was having a big party where Id cook enough food for 100 people. But I didnt get it delivered to me until May. Apparently, Viking had to send it back to the factory a couple of different times because there were defects and it didnt make it through inspection.

We have the built-in side by side Viking Refrigerator since we purchased our home new in 2007. The water dispenser never shuts off and anything on the top left shelf of the refrigerator freezes. The ice maker has no stopping point and fills the drawer until you cant remove it. The water dispenser stopped working a week ago and now doesnt make ice at all. Absolutely the worst refrigerator we have ever owned.

Were really glad we went with a Viking range. The only thing is the instruction manual could be a little bit better. The oven has a little light when it comes on and when we set the temperature and the light goes out, that means it has reached the desired temperature. It doesnt say that in the manual. Other than that, everything is working well.

I have had my Viking built in side by side for one year -- I chose Viking thinking it was a quality product. It is NOT -- the items on the top shelf the refrigerator ice up, the items in the freezer frost up and at six months a new part had to be installed in the freezer compressor. It was defective and froze the whole compressed up -- we had to move everything to a cheap Kenmore freezer which has worked for years to keep until the part came in and the repair was made. Now 3 months later it is doing the same thing. This is either a defective unit or Viking is making junk and charging a lot for it. Next step for us is to demand a replacement for this side by side and if they wont do that we will sue for a refund! Sad that this brand has become junk!

I purchased all Viking appliances for my newly remodeled kitchen 2 years ago. I have had to have each of them repaired at least once. I am currently waiting for the fourth service call on the refrigerator. There is only one warranty repair service company in my area and I have to wait at least 2 weeks to get service. The dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and 6 burner dual fuel range are not worth the money I spent. I would absolutely not recommend Viking appliances to anyone. I am very concerned what they will cost to repair when the warranties expire. I would strongly suggest potential consumers to look for an alternative product unless you enjoy waiting for repair service.

My Viking range cooks great and very fast, too. Its a beautiful appliance however, I don’t believe theres a timer on this thing to time anything. I don’t like the fact that when I turn on the oven, theres a blue light that comes on but theres no signal that says when its gotten to the proper heat where the blue light goes out. And I have to be basically sitting on top of it to know the proper heat. Ive had other ovens that will beep when they’ve hit the right temperature. The other thing I don’t like is the ergonomics of it because I have to bend over to read the dials to see where theyre at because my particular range has a little bit of an overhang to it and the dials are underneath it. That’s a very minor thing but an important one to me.

When I purchased my Viking refrigerator, it was a good price and the built-in lock on the counter was good. However, I dont know if its the fridges or the customer services fault, but I was starting to get water pooling in the bottom of the freezer. Ive got some damage in my wooden flooring and my pantry. I sent a complaint back in February and Im finally starting to get a response. The technician was out last week. I have a Viking stove that Ive been pleased with it so I assumed their refrigerator would be of good quality. I got a brand new one and it was a store model because the other refrigerator was going to be a three-month wait, which I couldnt wait for. I received the refrigerator in June and I like the appearance of it. But I noticed one issue in mid-July where the door doesnt shut properly. The icemaker then broke in September. I noticed that it was freezing stuff in the back of the fridge. That was probably a few weeks afterward but I suspect it hadnt worked at all. I was told that there are three broken parts in my fridge and there is nothing that Viking can do until the supply chain works its way out. Im not pleased.

We bought the new model of Viking Refrigerator that was a little less expensive than Subzero and got better reviews. We like it and my favorite is its lighting feature. Viking Refrigerator is okay but we’re not blown away. We noticed that the icemaker doesn’t know when to stop making ice, it just overflows. It does all right keeping things cold but sometimes it’s freezing something and sometimes it’s not. It’s just bizarre, it’s like some things in a certain area of the refrigerator tend to freeze. Almost not solid frozen but get close to frozen. It looks great though. Its aesthetically pleasing. I have a cheap refrigerator in Florida that performs the same. Nonetheless, the Viking dealer was great. We got all of our appliances through them. If someone would ask about Viking, Id tell them to do the research and really find out what products work the best. Viking is a good line but I think refrigerators are overrated.

And now, I have four different Viking appliances. I love the high-techness of my refrigerator. I like the durability of the range, it’s a 5 burner with two on the sides and then the long one in the middle. I like the quietness of my dishwasher. And my microwave, it works so well. We purchased an entire suite of professional-grade Viking kitchen appliances. My wife is a very good cook, so she wanted a gas range with Viking as a name, and we thought the refrigeration would be good too. However, I just had somebody come in to repair my refrigerator cause its a defect. The drain was not designed properly, so it would basically freeze up or clog up at the end of the day and then back up. And then, I ended up with ice below my freezer tray. It would melt on the door below the freezer door and then get my floor wet. As a result, I have cupping on my wood floor. So, not only did I pay the repair company that just recently came over $170-$200, which I havent even been reimbursed yet for, but I also have damaged floor.I havent had Viking contact me regarding that yet, and that was something I was expecting a call on. I reached out to them first, and they informed me that if it was a sealed component, it would be covered under warranty but if it wasnt, it wouldnt be. I ordered a part for the snap tray from a repair company, and I asked about the refrigerator and its leaking characteristics. They mentioned that there was a fix for it, and Viking knows about it. A notice was sent out and apparently, Viking has amnesia with that. They dont know of any notice. Theres no recall, yet its clearly a defective product.
