My experience with our Viking range has been good so far. We have one issue
My experience with our Viking range has been good so far. We have one issue when we first got it, but it was a floor model, so thats understandable. One of the burners wasnt working, but they came in and they repaired it. Also, I did have a little bit of an issue with the vendor they used. Its the only authorized repair facility in the area. They dropped the ball a little bit with time. They got the part, and then they forgot to call me, and I had to call them after about three weeks after that.I paid that amount of money for a range and I expect to have it working, but Viking didnt really do anything. Its a little upsetting. I was expecting them to do something, but they just told me that it is what it is. And so, thats the only real issue. I waited about eight weeks from the time I got the stove until the time it was fixed. But the stove itself is doing great. I like the name of the brand and what I thought they stood for, and other than that, the quality of the range is incredible. We have one of the cast iron griddles. We use it a lot. We changed to one of the accessory pieces that they have that should come in cast iron, which we prefer over the stainless steel attachment that it comes with. But its great. We love it.

A model that is cabinet facing, only ice making, no water, unfiltered water
A model that is cabinet facing, only ice making, no water, unfiltered water in the fridge is hard to find. Only two companies had the configurations I wanted for my refrigerator and Viking was one of them. The refrigerator is fine and I like it. I love the amount of room I have without the water component which was very difficult to find in other refrigerators. But Im having problems with the trim kit. Either its not installed right or its just not a good product. Its been months and I havent gotten the new trim kit to see if the issue was in the installation. We chose Viking over GE because of the trim kit, but thats where were having trouble with and the design may not be so great. Customer service had short answers like they just want to get me off the phone and I felt it was rushed. The rep called me to let me know the scheduled appointment date, but its still not fixed. Id rather just have it direct and get it fixed.

The stove has been nothing but a headache. This oven worked for literally 5 months then stopped working. We attempted to fix it with experienced repair men but after changing the spark module and the ignitor, still nothing. What the heck have you manufactured Viking. For $5500.00 all we have at the moment is a hunk of metal with a $660 repair cost to boot to the original cost. Thanks for taking my money out of the bank and tossing it in the garbage. As they say happy wife, happy life. Well my wife is not happy therefore my life isnt doing too well.

Weve had a horrible experience with Vikings customer service. I got a brand-new fridge from them and it came scratched up. I told Viking about it and I sent pictures. But its very hard to show pictures of scratches, and they said they couldnt see the scratches. They sent somebody to fix it and clean the scratches, but they never really came off. A brand-new refrigerator should be perfect, yet it was leaking as well. It was a nonstop leak and everything was wrong with it. It was a lemon. Also, the door broke and wouldnt close, and we needed a new spring in the door. The refrigerator was under warranty, and we had many customer calls and bad experience. Whenever I called in, I sat on hold for half an hour. The contractor came here and said they couldnt fix the refrigerator. So, after 20 visits, we got a new Viking refrigerator. I had a GE before this that was a cheap refrigerator, but then, this was the worst incident Ive ever had. I wish they would make their customer service better. We have all Viking products but wouldnt recommend Viking to anybody. The product does not live up to its name and standard.

Im a kitchen and bath remodeling contractor and I installed a Viking rvgr3305bss 30 gas range and, it came with 2 out of 5 knobs, were missing inserts, and called, and was on hold forever. Then when I explained the problem, they said it was probably Best Buys fault??? Luckily they are sending replacements but its a problem that should not exist. They should check these out before shipping them. Ive installed ranges from others that are a third the price and have much better quality - very disappointed. Might I mention this range cost $3,600. Buy Kenmore or Whirlpool, they are of much better quality.

We went looking at different stoves and we were impressed with Viking by what we were getting for our money. Our place is propane/electric and we wanted a gas top and its got a convection oven in it. We liked that idea in case the power goes out. Were in the mountains and the power goes out here once in a while. This range is super expensive and I would never normally go out and buy a stove like this. But weve got a beautiful house and this stove fits the house to a T. However it was hard to get the kit to transform into propane at the top and we had to wait quite a while. We were cooking on our camp gear outside because they had to go back East for the kit and we had to wait over two weeks. That was the downfall and that wasnt very impressive. I was at the point of canceling the range because of it. Its a high-quality stove and they should have no problem getting parts for that stove. I wanted those parts flown to my house like next day delivery so we could get the stove into place and we couldnt even get that done. I also didnt like that I have to get my glasses on and look really close at the dials. The stove has got a switch on the side. You push the button and the light comes on and it lights up the dials. It shows you when you turn the dial, youre gonna turn it up to high or medium, but its very hard to see. Its got to upgrade. Otherwise, we love the stove. The stove is an awesome product, a very beautiful stove. It does a really good job of cooking and Im impressed. My favorite feature is the convection oven.

We have had Viking Ranges since they pretty much came out. We are on our third Viking Range. When we remodeled our house, my husband wanted to get me something high quality because I’m a baker and I cook a lot. So we’ve researched and thats what came up. I like the way the Viking Range looks. We also renovate houses since the 80s and we always put a Viking Range in there. We flip higher end houses and people wanted Viking look or Wolf. We bought one Wolf and I hated the Wolf. I was like, Forget it. I don’t have to buy another Wolf. Weve bought plenty of Viking Ranges. The first one I had was a gas range and I loved it. And then we traded that for a dual fuel electric oven which I hated. The oven was much smaller and I couldnt fit all my baking pans. I couldnt even fit a turkey in it. I was really disappointed in that. It also started arching, spitting and shooting flames out the vent and the top. Wed called Viking to find out if there was any root cause. And they said not that they are aware of. So we ended up going through our insurance company in getting a new one. I got the Dual Fuel Viking Range. Its the four-burner. They did change the oven so its much bigger. Ive baked four cakes already with it and its only been a month. I wish they would have had one on the floor so I could have looked at it. But most people arent caring them because theyre so expensive. The people that I talked to at Viking have been very nice. But I wish we could have gotten more information about the other one that had started the fire. They didnt seem very interested and we still have that oven. They werent also going to take the oven so we figured we just hang on to it and see. Were thinking of making an outside kitchen and just tearing the oven apart and turning it into an outside stove. They also have people who came to hook a Viking Range up but hooked up the electric cord wrong. So then we didnt have an oven for a week cause it wouldnt work. Somebody came to fix it. They replaced the cord and took it right one on and that works great.

My wife had a French door refrigerator for many years and Viking was the first thought of what appliance we were going to use when we redid our kitchen. We liked the brand name. I have purchased 2 Viking wall ovens within the past 12 years, one at a discounted rate because my first purchase with them only lasted five years with many, many repairs in between. First of all their hinges on the door break very easily, the door to the oven is very heavy and can withstand constant use. Once the hinges break, the oven door cannot seal properly and therefore the oven will not run. The broiler coils burn out very fast. The oven cooks well over temperature, so you can trust the exact temperatures. The lettering on the wall peels off very quickly. I did not use any chemicals on it and I always used a soft rag with water to try and clean it. The stove top I purchased as well and that is also in bad shape. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

Shortly after posting we received a call from Viking asking for the repair estimates from the service company, which we shared. Viking replied that due to the age of the appliances (5 years) they are not able to help. Viking was once a great American brand that created superior appliances. For the premium price, buyers could feel confident in the the quality of their purchase and the companys customer service. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Viking is aware of the flaws with some of their products, especially the refrigerators (as is evidenced by the sheer number of complaints on this site alone about the same issue), yet they refuse to stand behind their products. Despite my hopes that I would be able to report that Viking did the right thing and repaired what is clearly a design flaw affecting many, unfortunately I cannot. It would be extremely easy for them to resolve this issue, but they choose not to. Instead, Viking prefers to erode customer trust in their products, service and their brand. I am sad to report that the Viking of today is no longer the company it once was. My only advice to anyone considering a Viking appliance or a full Viking kitchen is: buyer beware. Read the reviews on this site and others carefully.

The first two years with the Viking refrigerator was a nightmare. They came out 10 times. First, it was the wheels. Then it was the compressor. Then it was the coils. Something happened when it was put in. The people were inexperienced or they manhandled it. We told them to give us a new one and quit repairing it. It went back to Ferguson and they got us a new one. The install went better but the second refrigerator had a problem with the cooling fan. It was noisy from the second they plugged it in. Eventually, we got someone out. There were four or five different trips to repair this second one and sure enough, it was the fan. After two years, two refrigerators and 15 visits, the Viking refrigerator is working like it should. Its a nice refrigerator, but we went through a lot of troubles. Between two refrigerators and the repair, every time they repair it, you gotta take all the food out and I probably got scuffs on the floor. We wont get Viking again. We paid four or five times as much purely because Viking has such a good reputation but the worst thing about our house was this refrigerator. It got so bad that we called the attorney general of Minnesota who stepped in on the case. Viking’s been very polite when we call them up. The problem is there are different groups to work with - my contractor, Vikings, Ferguson, the person who installs it and a different person who repairs it.

Purchased a high end Viking Refrigerator in Oct, 2008 for just under $5,000. In August 2015 it stopped cooling due to a Freon leak. Local appliance repair fixed it temporarily by recharging at a cost of $541. Permanent fix required replacing defective Viking parts that were covered by warranty and ordered on Oct 1st. However labor costs of $1,800 plus tax were NOT covered.By Nov. 5 the parts had still not arrived. I contacted Viking customer service and got no satisfaction or assurance, so I wrote the COO of Viking a letter with the facts and expressing my dissatisfaction. It takes over 5 weeks to replace defective parts that are covered by warranty! It costs me $1,800 in labor to replace Vikings defective parts! I received NO response whatsoever from the COO or anybody at Viking. Eventually the parts arrived at the end of November and the refrigerator was repaired on Dec 7 -- OVER 2 MONTHS after the parts were ordered! With that kind of quality and their non-existent service, Ill never buy another Viking product and have recommended the same to every person and appliance seller I know.

We wanted high-end kitchen appliances so we were looking at either Viking or Sub-Zero Wolf. We wanted to make sure that all of our appliances match so we went with Viking. Weve had the range for about a month now and so far, no issues. I feel like its pretty high quality, although when I put it on simmer or very low heat, it tends to lose the flame, so it is hard and I have to really adjust. I cant go all the way low or it will flame out, and it halts my cooking. Other than that, were happy with the oven. It definitely feels sturdy from the knobs to the door. It seems like its well put together so I appreciate that. I havent had issues with cooking. It seems to have a pretty strong flame and for everything that we are using it for, it is doing the trick. The infrared boiler is really nice. I just have to get used to it because it would get very hot. We burned a couple of things and we realized how powerful it was.We had an issue with the fridge. The right door that has the little piece that is supposed to move when shutting it so it can go in wasn’t lining up with the tracker thing that pushes it outwards. They came out and fixed that. Also, the top piece of the microwave wasnt put properly, so we just had the guy who was fixing the door do it as well. Overall, I am happy and I will definitely recommend Viking.

I had a Jenn-Air range but I didn’t like the way it cooked on the gas. A couple of my cousins and family members have Viking ranges and I also researched on them. I liked the reputation that I read about them and bought a few things - a range, a washer and dryer, and a refrigerator. The Viking range is much better. It cooks much faster. It’s of good quality but the only thing I’m having a problem with is the grates in the oven. I can’t get it in and out easily. It sticks. Also, they didn’t explain clearly that I bought the non-self-clean oven. They didn’t go through everything for me. They didn’t tell me the ins and the outs of each of the ranges. If I could exchange this, I would get the other one.

Our Viking refrigerator is fine. I’ve only had it for two months, but I found that I’m having to figure out where to put stuff. It seems small inside. I dont know if I would repurchase another refrigerator like that because of the compartments. If you have very tall things like milk and wine, it really makes it hard. You can take out the other shelves, but then you have no place to put stuff. And this is my first thanksgiving, and I’m really dreading to figure out how I’m gonna put stuff in the refrigerator. I’ve emptied everything out of the little vegetable things to put my dishes in there. Also, I haven’t figured out how to clean the outside of it yet because it seems like I’m always messing with it. Overall, compared to other refrigerators, our Viking is kinda cumbersome to me, but I’ll figure it out.

I know of Viking Ranges as being a good brand. I like the combination of its style and size and its durability and simplicity. I didn’t want something with a lot of electric controls and my range seemed like their basic gas, almost commercial style gas. It has a big oven with a big range top and I like its clean lines, stainless steel finish that it looks like a professional range, commercial style oven. I bought it through PC Richards and their reps were good. They were incredibly knowledgeable. However, I’m a little disappointed because the oven broke about four months ago. The hinges on the door just stopped closing the door completely, I had no idea why. Also, I cannot turn the flame down low enough. There’s a lot of BTUs. They’ve now referred my range to their service department and it has taken awhile to order pieces. It has been a very long process and it is still waiting for a repair. I can still use the range though. Overall, my experience was generally very, very positive.

Viking 36 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Do Not Buy!!! Randomly starts cooling again then same thing happens. Called Viking who referred to their Orange county repair service which took a week to get out and be told it didnt have a dedicated fuse. Well we had our electrician come right out and yes the refrigerator does have a dedicated fuse drawing the proper amps. The Viking appliances came as a package with the house that I purchased and I was like, “Wow, these are really good appliances in the place.” I just had contact with Viking Refrigerators when I was registering the appliances. I needed to register them for them to be serviced under warranty. But I was a little surprised that sometimes the serial numbers and product numbers didn’t go into the side of the appliances. Then I would call Viking Refrigerators and they gave me a procedure for dealing with this which made the whole process of registration a little more complicated. We just had our Viking refrigerator serviced because the ice maker was not working properly. Apparently, it was freezing the water on the way in. It took a while to get people to service the refrigerator, then they had to order the parts. It has been a week and a half now since the repair and the same thing is starting to happen again. Ive been seeing water freezing and dropping down, so I’m about to make another call to Viking Refrigerators in the next couple of days. When the technician repaired the refrigerator earlier, he said, “I’ve changed everything that I could. If this doesn’t work, I don’t know what else would.” But I was a little baffled that six months into living into my house, my super expensive, top-of-the-line Viking refrigerator didn’t work and then they serviced it, and now there’s water frozen. When the water seeps, it starts freezing, and the frozen thing eventually blocks the water in, and that was what also happened the last time. The quality of the Viking refrigerator seemed nice, but I was a little surprised that something so upscale with such a great reputation had this kind of failure in the first six months of its life. The refrigerator was covered under warranty because the Viking appliances came with the same one-year warranty that the builder gave. But Im going to reach out to Viking Refrigerators and find out if I can extend the warranty because I’m a little concerned and we’d love to have that extended warranty.

To say that I have been extremely disappointed with my Viking oven is putting it mildly. This oven has broken three times since 2012. Two of those times was in the middle of cooking Thanksgiving Dinner. The problem with this oven is a computer chip panel that continually burns out when the oven becomes hot. I have had to replace this part twice. I question why Viking would engineer such a problematic oven and then offer a replacement part that is only under warranty for a year. I have contacted Viking customer service by phone and by letter and their only response is to tell me the part is no longer under warranty. I have replaced the Viking oven and I will never buy another Viking product. I am writing this to alert other consumers to be aware of this issue and the lack of customer service when considering purchasing a Viking range.

I liked Vikings name and reputation. The quality of the range that I got is excellent. I really like the six burners on the top and the control that I have when Im cooking. However, cleaning the range is like an event. I dont like doing it very often because its so much work. I have to take all the six burners off individually and have to clean them. Then, I have to take those little things underneath the burners that catch everything. You have to take all six of those off and clean them, then dry them after which you wipe down the stove. You then take everything out from the crumb catcher underneath.Ive had other ranges where the grates are one piece, you pick them, lean it up against your backsplash, wipe it down, put it down, and youre done. With this range, my husband and I always yell about whos gonna clean it. So, consequently, we just let it go. We would clean it maybe once a week cause I cant do that every single time I cook. I just wipe it down and wait until Sunday to clean it.

I have some problems with the Viking Refrigerator that we got. The unit functions well, but I have problems in the way it is laid out. It seemed very stripped down. The crisper drawer is not divided, it is just one big drawer that is supposed to hold both fruit and vegetables. That was surprising. Fruits and vegetables require different temperatures and different humidities. There wasn’t any delicatessen or cheese drawer too. The fridge is also very high so that the taller shelves were not accessible. Viking was supposed to be a quality brand. Ive had the range for a year now and its not properly working. Ive had to have repairman after repairman in and out of my home and the problem is still not resolved 100% so its a bit of an issue. After nine months of not working properly, they decided to replace the whole range. And now, the parts that I had purchased that are supposed to fit the same year dont fit because a piece of it is warped. We finally got the other oven working because I didnt have both sides working for a whole year. And now that we finally got it working, the griddle that they replaced it with is warped. They had someone come out and look at it and it needed to be replaced. But Vikings saying that he didnt say that it was warped when I was standing right there and he did say it. They said that theyre not replacing it basically. So now, I have a warped griddle that I cant cover.I thought I was buying a luxury piece of equipment for my home and now its just been one thing after another and no ones been helpful. I havent heard from them for probably two to three weeks on what theyre going to do about the warped griddle so I just have another defective piece of whatever. Our designer and the manager of the store we went to highly recommended the Viking range. We love its look and the small oven is awesome. My husband is the main cook and he loves how it simmers where you can get it really low and then also for making meatballs. As of this moment, our Viking isnt working properly. Parts are needed and the appliance repair company said that they have been waiting on it for over a month now. But other than that what works is great. The only suggestion I could make is for them to have a childproof type of lock. They got plastic covered knobs but those dont look good. Bought a Viking that never ran properly, parts broke, mother board changed 3 times. Company agreed to replace but we had to pay up half the value. Then the replacement broke down, mother board, in less than 9 months and finally got replaced again. 2 months into owning it broke down!!! We are told no mother boards out there to replace with - back ordered. So we bought a defective Viking at full price the first time then had it replaced and paid another $5000+ so now our investment total about 16,000$ plus time spent away from work for repair guys to come and fix numerous times per year plus horrible costumer service. One repair company purported to order a part and we paid for it and never got it. They disappeared. Worst product ever!!!! DO NOT BUY A VIKING FRIDGE! It is unconscionable for Viking to still be selling fridges at these price points.

Viking is a well-known name in the industry and their range was the highest and top of the line range we can use without a direct overhead exhaust. However, we didnt have a good experience with it. Every time the exhaust fan came on, it vibrated and made a terrible noise. It was intolerable. Their service guy said it wasnt leveled but it was leveled fine when it was installed. Nobody could figure out why it was making the noise when the exhaust fan came on. I said, Obviously, somethings loose. Its vibrating. And it took them seven trips, two different service companies, to figure out what it was and it doesnt do it anymore. It was very frustrating on our behalf. Wed probably not buy their product again because of that. It was also delivered with a broken grate on top too. I had to go into the showroom and exchange it for the grate they had on the display. From day one, when it was delivered with a broken grate, right away I was upset. If I spent $500 or $1,200 for a range, Im okay. But it was $5,000 so Im expecting something to be worth $5,000, not a vibrating thing that was making noise. I have a service contract that I paid another $500 for so they have to come to me. It looks beautiful and it works great now, but the first year and a half was a disaster. And Im not quite sure how they fixed it and if its gonna hold up long enough. It was probably dropped or mishandled during its original shipment from its factory to its final destination that was why these problems came. Till today, its working fine, but Im not happy with the whole experience and would definitely not recommend it.

Weve had our Viking for years now since we renovated our kitchen. I love the look of it as well as the induction cooktop. It is incredible. But in the last year, we spent thousands of dollars on getting both the panels of our induction cooktops replaced. The guy that I called at Viking was awesome and he helped get it through. That one was covered under warranty. But there was a stocktake that happened right before Thanksgiving and Viking shut down for it. That meant that parts didn’t ship for weeks and weeks. Who shuts down a cooking warehouse for stocktake the week before Thanksgiving? It’s the most important food holiday in the entire country. What kind of management decision was that? It was insane. We didn’t get the part for our range until after Thanksgiving. We got the first side fixed just before Christmas. And then about three months ago, the other one went out and. That wasn’t under warranty anymore and that cost us over $1,300. The same thing happened with the part too. The guy gave the part but Viking sent the wrong one. The guy came and installed it, but it didn’t work. He then got another part. It came back and it still wasn’t working. He finally figured out that time that they sent the wrong part. The guy came back a third time. It was like a complete saga. I had to be home four times to get the second side fixed. Viking range is incredibly expensive. We probably could’ve bought a range for a third of the price. I expected this thing to last for 30 years and not have a problem with it. But since these induction panels started going out, it had been a nightmare. The other one that was replaced under warranty the other day is doing something funky. We have to keep an eye on it because it has a 12-month warranty on it. Also, my understanding from the text is that there are only a couple of companies in the world that make induction boards. Whatever products you buy, you’re basically getting the same induction board in there. And this one is the best. But it still seems like there are some issues with the technology. At this point in time, it’s been very disappointing overall. You don’t expect to pay for a top-of-the-line range to have to then deal with this repeatedly. When the range is working, it’s wonderful. I love it! I just don’t love that it keeps breaking and it cost me a fortune to get it fixed. It is unacceptable. The interesting thing is the company we’ve been dealing, Appliance Pros, has been pretty great although it was frustrating having to call and be told that Viking was shut down or the part was not yet shipped. We felt bad for the guy who came and fixed the last issue we had. He made four visits for one repair that could have been done in two visits. Im dissatisfied with Viking.

The dishwasher we bought 3 years ago has been a disaster. This week, the start button fell into the dishwasher. Then the rocket scientist repair person (who is an authorized repair person for Viking) comes to check it, ends up ordering the wrong part because he thought that was the problem, after disassembling the entire panel. Now he says the correct part is backordered for 3 weeks at least. I called All Viking Parts.com and Viking and confirmed this. How is it possible that a $28.00 part cannot be found in the United States of America? Viking is SO proud it is made in the USA, yet cannot have a $28 part in stock. Also, when we bought our 3 viking appliances, they came with a 1 yr warranty. Now they come with a 3 year warranty..... must be due to the fact they are absolute pieces of jump. The stove, fridge and dishwasher have ALL broken. The dishwasher being the most to break. In fact, a part I bought myself and installed in the fridge, has broken.... again... literally within 2 weeks of installing it. NEVER BUY VIKING APPLIANCES..... NOT WORTH IT. I wish I would have listened to the reviews I read about Viking before purchasing.

I have more of an elegant kitchen and I think it really adds to the whole look of the kitchen besides being a great appliance as well. Other than the big oven door, my Viking range is great. I can put a couple of whole cookie sheets in there. Theres plenty of room to do whatever you wanna do. But the big door, unless I stick something in it, will not stay closed when we cook. It leaves a light on so I have to put something in to close it. I love my Viking a lot but the oven door is a pain in the neck.We also got a Viking refrigerator and the light went out. The guy came over to fix it and he didnt have what he needed. We tried chasing that guy down and we still dont have lights in the regular side of our refrigerator. Viking finally sent the instructions and I had them chase the guy down. So we have the Viking manuals but I havent been able to get to that tech to get him to come back.

Between a Viking and a Wolf, we like the idea of having the microwave above. The Viking range comes with a microwave and so we went through a dealer and got one. The only thing that I dont like is that the stovetop is very hard to keep clean. Its got a shininess, and so it always seems like its very hard to clean. Other than that, the quality is great. I like how quickly it heats everything up. The water boils quicker and the oven bakes a lot nicer and more even.

My Viking stove was purchased in 2001. We have had issues with it ever since. My stove has a double oven, both of which have required several repairs. The self cleaning on each oven has broken twice, and the heating elements constantly burn out. Both heating elements are now burned out, and I have been without a working oven for four weeks. Of course the heating elements have been on back order all this time, and nobody, including Viking, has a clue as to when these heating elements will be back in stock. Its probably fair to assume that if these items are currently on back order, then many Viking customers are having the same issue with their stove as I am. Each time I call for repair, its a minimum of $350. What a waste of money, this purchase has been for me. The Viking Corporation is an absolute mess, and I continue to tell anyone who is willing to listen, my sad, but very true story. Never again, will I purchase a Viking.

I love the stove. It cooks fast. The quality is good and Viking has always been good. But the ordering process was a disastrous nightmare. Viking should not ever let Best Buy sell their products again. I totally understand that there’s a shortage of product and people to build product. But Best Buy ordered it for me, initially, then they canceled the order, then they triple billed me. I was paying $18,000 for the stove at one point. Then, come to find out, it sat in their warehouse for two months. Then they shipped it and brought it, but they brought the wrong one. They ordered a propane stove instead of a gas stove. I had to pay somebody to come in and put the conversion kit in. It was disaster after disaster after disaster.

We looked at discount places and priced out Viking ranges. We bought a model from last year and we like its BTU for the burners. The overall quality is good and we love it. Our favorite feature is the burners and we have five burners now that we’ve actually all been able to use.The sales guy at the Viking dealer was great and did no pressure. He has very high professionalism and knowledge for the product. He totally helped us out and then we looked and told him that we would look somewhere else and get another quote. It was no problem with him so we went and looked at another Viking range somewhere else. We realized that what we first saw was the one that we should have bought all along so we went right back and got it. We went to a showroom in Reno, New Jersey and we also saw some from P.C. Richards. We did some research online to know what models we like then, we went to the showroom and ordered Viking. Their reps were all good as they know their products. We talked about what we wanted and they gave us a number of options and recommended all the different products. They gave us the pros and cons of each and the price point too. It was informative. However, we had a couple of issues. We ordered a professional range with a Viking label on it. So, we called the person and complained about it. Then, they sent out someone to fix it and it was fixed yesterday. Also, the LED light was not working on one of the double French ovens for some reason but the oven was working. The guy who did he fix said he would submit another ticket for us to order the part then they will come to fix it. Other than that, the quality of my Viking is good. We had nothing but trouble with the Viking Range that we first received. It was a gas range, the simplest model that Viking makes and I felt like I got a lemon unit. We were without an oven for five weeks. I contacted Viking and I spoke with a gentleman named Tony who should have been responsible for resolving these kinds of issues. Basically, he said that Viking would only come and replace parts on the unit even though we had had the repairman out three times. He also said that they would restart our warranty once the range started working. Tony was nice but he had a very condescending attitude. He should not be dealing with end-users.Viking never got me a new range and I am rather disappointed with them. They were exceedingly stubborn with replacing it. I didn’t even wanna go with the same model and I wanted to get a different one. I wanted to go to a dual convection and I wouldve paid the difference if Viking wouldve stepped in and did something about it. It took a lot of work and coordination that the consumer and the end-user should not have had to go through. I have never dealt with a more frustrating company and I’m astonished that they treat an end-user like that. It ruined my opinion of them. The dealer I purchased it from replaced the range, and that was before Viking agreed to make the transfer. This was all done through the retailer. They brought a new one out and it worked right away, and it’s been working since then. Viking is a very good range while it’s been working, but with all the experience I had with the last unit, I was not happy. Any time that somebody will ask me about my range, I will be more than happy to tell them the story of how Viking basically did nothing.

I bought a new home and theres a Viking Range in it. It took a while for me to get used to the idea of having a convection oven because I’ve never had that before but I like it a lot. It seems to be really good quality. But I’m not exactly enjoying the cleaning process of the surface on the top where the burners are. It’s got the grills under every burner and it’s not fun to clean all that if there are spills or things on top of the cooking surface. There are way too many little parts to clean and I was coming off of just a solid surface cooktop which was pretty easy to maintain. Other than that, I’m enjoying the gas. I like the fact that the burners light instantly and get hot faster than an electric stove. Also, when I had a service guy out from Viking for the door of my brand-new dishwasher that had a broken latch on the side, he played around with the oven, too. When it was running, the convection stops and starts, and stops and starts. I asked him if that was normal and he said yes. But he still made sure it was working right and tinkered with it a little bit.

We went to a dealer called Builders Supply that sells high-end appliances since the contractor sent us out there to go look at ranges. We looked at Viking, Wolf, KitchenAid, and GE. But my wife picked the Viking 48-inch range with two ovens because they had an extremely good reputation and my wife liked its appearance and the way it operated. It was delivered in October, but I found out that an installer had to set it up so we paid some people to do that. Then it turned out that the hinges on the larger oven were bent or broken and had been that way when it was shipped to us. We were told over and over that they were moving their parts supply deal from Mississippi to Atlanta. That was what was holding it up and it was just a matter of a few days before it would be done then we would get the hinges. But it took forever to get them to the point where the people at Mr. Appliance, their warranty contractor here, called me repeatedly to apologize. So it took a little over four months to get the hinges. Consequently, the stove is right now a little over a year old and for the first four months, we didn’t use one side of the stove. But because this is a $13,000 stove, we thought it would have been a better deal than that. But when we finally got the hinges, everything seemed to be fine. We only had a problem with leveling it, but when we had some people come out to level it, it worked fine for a while.Another problem was the indicator lights didn’t come on anymore. We also noticed that things were cooking too fast so I bought a thermometer and put it in the oven. But when I set the oven on 350, it came up at about 425. It clearly needed to be redone from the standpoint of recalibration. This has now been the week before Christmas. Mr. Appliance sent a man out and he looked at it. He was really good and knew what he’s doing. He figured out that a part has gone bad and its not doing what it’s supposed to do to regulate the temperature in the oven. Also, there were fans in the back that didnt work anymore. So if it’s supposed to cook at 350, we set it on about 250-275 and regulate to see if we can get it there using the thermometer that I put in. The technician came out the week before Christmas and I was told that it was no big deal. We just order the part and have it in. Since its been 2 weeks, I called Mr. Appliance. Their rep said that they might have a delivery on Thursday or Monday of next week and she would call me if my part was in that order. I now have a $13,000 doorstop, sitting in there, not able to cook in the major oven anymore. So were disappointed at the quality of our purchase. And when I call, I don’t seem to be able to get anybody on the phone over there. I hated the dealer too. They sold me some parts for the range, one of them being a $250 skirt that goes across the front, which hides the legs. It turned out that when we got it in the house, it wouldn’t fit. Somebody had taken it out of the box and the box was thrown away. When I attempted to return it because I couldn’t use it, they told me they don’t take anything back if it’s not in the box. This is despite having just bought close to $40,000 worth of appliances from them. This is the worst experience I’ve had so I would never go in there again. This stove has been a freaking nightmare and this experience stinks! Viking doesnt do what they say they’re going to do. I’ve spent nearly 50 years in business and customer service is the most important thing you can do. But you get nothing from Viking. If somebody asks me about buying a stove from them, I’m going to tell them to not walk but run in the other direction. If it doesn’t get better quickly, I’m going to have my attorney sue Viking for deceptive trade practices under Texas DTPA, which gets you triple damages. I’m going to take the $39,000, buy a Wolf stove and use the rest of it to take ads in the paper stating not to buy a Viking.

I always wanted a professional range. I moved to this house and they have a Dacor. But somehow, when the contractor from the home warranty came in to fix it, they screwed up. They messed up with something. The stove is too old so I had to replace it. The home warranty gave me the option to choose from. At that point, when I was going over some information, I found out Viking is a good stove and the price is quite reasonable for the amount that the home warranty was compensating me. I picked it not knowing that I will have this problem periodically. I have a sparkling problem with my stove on the right. When I turn it on, I always have to use the match to light. This is a brand new $1,000 stove and I dont understand why. Also, when I was reading the description, I wasn’t aware that it’s an open stove. Some of the stove, on the top, the water can overflow into the lower shelf all the way to the tray below.I also bought the Viking dishwasher and I found out the instruction book is not very well written. For a long time, when I try to press the button, the red light’s blinking. That means it has not started. And I keep closing it and opening it, and not until many days later, I called Viking. They said it was like a defect. I have to press it once then push it in. I cannot press more than once. But they don’t address that in the instruction book so people don’t know. After 4 repairs on an original and 10 repairs on a complete replacement Viking double wall oven, we gave up. We couldnt spend any more time waiting the four-hour window for repairmen, and no correction to maintaining a constant oven temp. Two repairmen broke fingers during repairs, no lie. Viking warranty people lacked response often, and convinced me to keep trying. Also, the cook top grates have little rubber feet that kept melting and falling off. DANGEROUS! Replaced about 6 times. Ten years later, dozens of burnt or under cooked meals, cookies etc., we are finally able to and frustrated enough to get something new. The hesitation is the cabinet was cut larger to fit Viking. The quality of the Viking Range is fine. However, the oven doesn’t cook evenly. It’s also very small. The square footage inside of the oven is very small compared to my old GE, in my old apartment that I loved. It’s cooking thoroughly but its not even. So, if I’m going to bake cookies, I have to turn the tray around to get the back. Moreover, the knobs to turn on the oven and the stove get very, very, very hot when the oven is on. We own a built-in Viking refrigerator that was manufactured in 2013. Over the past year, its plastic bins have started to disintegrate spontaneously. Nothing was abused or overstuffed. So far the following have fallen apart: (1) The pull for the ice drawer. (2) Three bins in the refrigerator door. (3) All bins in the freezer door, although two have lost pieces but the damaged bins havent yet fallen out. (4) The clear front of the deli drawer has cracked. (5) The clear top of the chiller drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator has fallen off.Obviously without the bins the refrigerator is nearly useless, unless one uses only its floor, and the wire shelves in the freezer which appear to have survived. Viking quoted a replacement cost for all these plastic items that would run more than $2000. To put this in perspective, a month ago I paid $650 for the 21 cu-ft GE refrigerator in my garage. I had to buy it partly because the Viking could hold less and less.We called Viking and were told that the refrigerator is out of warranty. When I asked the rep if he had ever heard of all the plastic disintegrating 6-7 years into the life of the unit, he said he had. When I asked if this was typical, he said it wasnt. When I suggested that our unit may have been manufactured with a bad batch of plastic and that Viking should take some responsibility to replace it, he said that they will not.In the past I have used a Kitchenaid built-in, GE, Whirlpool, Amana. In the early years I even bought used refrigerators from previous homeowners or used old ones in rental houses. Never have I seen bins crack and disintegrate as if this were timed to bring in another injection of revenue to Viking 6 to 7 years after the sale. Viking is not a low-cost brand that is trimming pennies on their product to lower the sale price; they position themselves as a high-end luxury brand. Whatever happened to reliability, durability, and pride in the brand?

A friend of mine owned a Viking range and I thought that I just had to have it. I like to cook and Viking was a higher end range. And since I was building a house, I had to get it now because I won’t be able to get it later on. I went to Cowboy’s Kitchens in Ridgeland and everybody was very accommodating. When I had a problem with one of the ignitions on one of the burners that wouldn’t light, they sent a repair personnel who replaced a part. They were efficient and Ive been happy with everybody. I love mt range too and I want to get the griddle that goes in the middle. Were barely 60 days in and Im looking forward to experimenting with my range. Im still tinkering with it and have learned that it cooks much faster than other ranges so it is more efficient and saves time.

We had a Viking refrigerator for 15 years and it was built-in. It was good until it conked out. We had to go with the same refrigerator because we happen to have certain size constrictions. I called Viking because we needed a specific size and I was checking on all the measurements on the 48-inch. The gal told me that it should all work out as far as the fit because we didnt want it to get here and not have it fit in its space. I also asked about the pricing so that I knew I wasnt going to be ripped off. The new refrigerator is updated and it seems to have a better seal. Theres also supposed to be a thing inside where we never have to clean it. Id like my refrigerator to last longer than 15 years because its expensive. Thats like 1,000 a year when you add it up and I dont wanna have to pay that for a refrigerator. They said that the new one supposedly is gonna be lasting longer. Im hoping thats true and so far, it seems to be fine.

We owned this fridge for 7 years. After 1 year, the plastic started cracking and falling apart. The shelves were partially exchanged under warranty but another year later started falling apart again. Now all of the plastic is cracked (clear and white plastic) and today the shelf fell off entirely onto my wifes foot with all of the condiments in it. I cant believe that such an expensive fridge has such poorly made plastic that wouldnt even be acceptable for a cheap fridge. If Viking was proud of their products, they should exchange or fix these kind of things, but it does not seem they care.

Ive been very familiar with Viking for many years but Im very unhappy with their service, and the service who I bought the Viking from. I knew it was a floor model at the showroom and they told me that it had been out there for less than a year and had never been used, and it was like new and would have the full warranty. But several pieces broke within 24 hours of me getting this $10,000 refrigerator. It keeps things cold but all of the door inserts, such as the shelves in the door, all were broken. When I called Viking, they said that this was a five-year old model. It had been sitting on the showroom for that long, which was never disclosed and they wont cover anything. It was a very disappointing experience and makes me want to avoid using Viking. It’s a nice refrigerator. Unfortunately, they are selling it through dealers that dont understand their process and theyre not standing behind it and not willing to stand up to their dealer. So, its not a company I would want to do business with again.

I have a lot of problems with Viking. The oven is really loud. When you set the temperature for 300, it goes to 300, and then it tries to go on and off just to maintain the temperature. I can hear that on and off sound -- the clicking and the sparks -- in the living room which is a good 30 or 40 feet away. I dont know if I have a faulty unit or thats the way its built. Also, the dishwasher doesnt really clean really well. Ive looked online and at the manual. I tried to tweak things like settings and gears. I also make sure I use rinse aid and high-quality detergents but there have been some issues. One more thing was the fridge. When I set it at a temperature like 37 degrees Fahrenheit, things start freezing in the back of the fridge. If I put a jar of olives towards the back of the fridge, it gets frozen. These are very expensive appliances and theyre considered high-end, but I dont feel like I have that quality in them. Ive had a Frigidaire fridge in my garage and Ive had it for about seven years, and thats working perfectly. I dont think I would recommend Viking but that could change. Ive been meaning to contact support and once I get in touch with them and they can help me resolve these issues, I think maybe it would be different.

Ive bought other ranges to try to save money, but they didnt measure up. So, when I was able to afford it, I bought my second Viking and I use it every day. And its wonderful. We just had a repair done under warranty to the current one that we have. It was an igniter, but it got totally handled for everything, and now its back in action. It took two weeks to get the part but the person who came to do the repair did a great job.

I’m not happy at all with the microwave and refrigerator. The refrigerator has caused us problems such as freezing things. I had the maintenance guy come out five times and we had to get extra parts, but it’s still not fixed. This has been going on since August when we moved in and it’s now the end of January. So we’ve been dealing with this for six months off and on. We would like a brand-new fridge but I don’t know if Viking is going to do it. There still the one-year warranty. The only thing I was really happy with is the stove. The oven has been okay but it doesn’t heat up very quickly.

So, we went with Viking for their reputation and we bought a built-in refrigerator from them. We love its looks and the lights on the side, and how spacious and practical it is. A repair has already been done on it because there was a problem with the accumulation of ice in it, but that was dealt with promptly and professionally. So far, everything has been great with Viking.

I was looking for a pro series refrigerator to match my professional appliances. The Viking Refrigerator met my requirements plus it was around my budget. The person from the store has been helping me with the appliances and choosing the right ones, and thought highly about the Viking Refrigerator. It’s very well lit with the LED lighting and it’s nice being able to open it and see everything. I like the number of shelves and the fact that I can reconfigure them. I have one that folds in half, so thats also neat because I may not need a full shelf. I could fold one of the shelves in half to fit a gallon of milk or orange juice, but if I dont have that, maybe I want to have the shelves instead. Also, the control panel lights up and temperature cool zone can be adjusted to cool whatever food you’re storing and it will keep it at that temperature plus the dial setting can be easily accessed because it’s in the inside of the door. Thats very helpful because with other refrigerators, they have it in places where someone cant even reach. The only issue that I had was that I had to have the refrigerator replaced 3 times because of the doors being not aligned and even. They tried to align the doors but the top part was wider open than the bottom. The store said that they couldnt do anything with it because the wheels in the back were not adjustable and they could not also adjust the doors. They could only do operating on adjustments. I called Viking service and they sent a repairman who said that it was actually defective and I need it to have it replaced. The reason it happened twice is because the store said, Well order a replacement, but when it came, one of the doors was dented. Theyve had the same issue, and they were not going to leave it with me. Theyre going to take it back. The store said, If youre not happy with the Viking maybe you could choose a different model or a different refrigerator. But even though the Viking refrigerator has those issues, I liked it and was already in love with it. I couldnt find that different selection. So then they delivered a new one and it was better than the other one. It wasnt wobbly but it still had an issue with the doors. However, when the repairman came and told me that it was defective, he said the doors could be fixed but not the wobbly part. They called the service again and I said, I got the replacement refrigerator. Can you come fix the door? They did, so now its good.At least, they let me keep the refrigerator until I got the replacement so I was not without a refrigerator. But because it was a special order it would take long time, like in a month. I wasnt happy because of everything else, but regarding the unit itself and how it operates, I would definitely recommend it. For the price, its great because it competes with the professional refrigerators.

As of the other day I heard a grinding noise and now my food was all thawed in the freezer and my refrigerator does not seem to be cold. I cant tell you the amount of times this refrigerator (in fact my VIKING trash compactor, gas cooktop and refrigerator) have been serviced over the years. I would never purchase another VIKING appliance based on my experience. I know the repair folks are happy for the business but each time they come out I cringe as VIKING repair parts are as outrageously priced as their appliances!

I got the tall, 36-inch one-door refrigerator with the drawer-freezer on the bottom. I got three of those. I got one for the basement and two for my kitchen. So, I put them side-by-side. We have a big family, and we buy a lot. The refrigeration’s going okay. After like a month, the one in the basement stopped working. They did set up service. Something was leaking up on top. So, they did schedule somebody to come out, and it took a while to get the part. Then, by the time the tech came out, it was three months later. So, there was no refrigeration usage in the basement. It was kind of a little disappointing that we had to deal with that. Also, whenever I open that one little drawer where the ice bin is, I always seem to lose ice cubes into the freezer. It shuts itself off, but I dont think it shuts itself off soon enough once its a bit full, or if the bin is not large enough that ice cubes tend to fall out whenever we open that door. So, that was something I wasnt too crazy about because now I got ice cubes on the bottom of the freezer that I gotta try to get out. I think theyre priced high because of these little issues. When you spend so much money, you expect it to be perfect. You dont expect these little things just happen the way they do. I would expect that on a very less expensive refrigerator freezer.

My Viking dishwasher is terrible, but my oven has been great. It has been perfect and I love it. I like the looks of it too. I can set most of the pots and pans on there without them being crowded. Its sturdy and Ive really enjoyed it. I don’t necessarily know how to clean out the vented area and that’s the depressing stuff that I don’t like about it. On the other hand, my dishwasher is like an expensive drying rack and Viking doesn’t know when theyre going to get the parts to me. I would love it if it works just like the oven did. Our countertops are being replaced, so I have nowhere to wash dishes right now. The other thing is when I tried to register my appliances online. It was just really weird. For whatever reason, the model numbers that are on the appliances has to be entered differently. I had to call in the center because there was one too many numbers are not enough but their staff was super nice.

Viking, you SUCK. 3+ months with a $3,000+ fridge that was delivered broken and all the local warranty reps you outsource to are saying is Viking switched its distributor two times so you will have to wait longer? How about some lemon laws here. I called Viking directly and the brain dead receptionists can not get me to the right person. Why? Because they cant fathom why someone with a California phone number lives in Texas. Gee, if you want to be elite Viking, you might want to consider that your customers have multiple homes in other areas. I regret buying a Viking Dishwasher (POS does not even have heated dry), Viking Range (delivered broken), Viking Microwave (over priced Kitchen Aid) and Viking D3 Fridge (Broken on Delivery). I have yet to get a customer service rep to call me back. No one is empowered to make a decision. I will be buying Wolf/SubZero next time.

We had a lot of problems with our old refrigerator. It was a nightmare so I didnt want to buy that same band. I wanted an American made refrigerator so I went through a whole lot of options. We owned other Viking appliances so we looked at them at a store. We bought the Viking ref from an appliance store in Minneapolis. They were very nice. They didnt scratch it during the delivery and the delivery guys were very friendly. There were no issues. The Viking ref is not a regular refrigerator. Its built in so it fits a very specific size and it matches the cupboard, so it cant be easily thrown away. You got to fix them. Another thing I really like about it is I installed it myself and bolted it into the wall. They gave me the directions and showed me where and how to bolt it into the wall. It has a lot of nice lighting. My wife noticed that it doesnt get any mold in it because it has an ozone generator so she doesnt have to sit and clean it up. That is the absolute best feature of the Viking ref. The old ref was always moldy and yucky inside and we hated it. There was no egg holder in the door of the Viking ref. They provided a closed egg container where one had to take it up the shelf, open the cover and take an egg out. That was just a pain. So I made really nice trays that sit in my doors. Viking might want to consider doing that because the other company did that. The ice maker tends to run too much ice that it overflows. When you open up the door it dumps the ice out into the cabinet. But that is little bit of a pain compared to my old refrigerator. Its interesting because its the same exact brand of ice maker my old ref uses. They should improve their icemaker because they buy it from the ice maker company. I hope that Viking is better, but I don’t hold that hope. The most important thing will be to determine how long it lasts without giving us any trouble. They were a good company. Were very happy with the refrigeration from Viking.

We wanted an all-gas oven and Viking had it. We also wanted self-cleaning, and the one we got came available with white on the front, which we wanted. The dealer was great. However, on the back of the range, we bought a separate piece for the air to come up from the oven, and it blows the burners when the oven is on and causes the burners not to be as efficient. That’s a big flaw. Because that air is blowing the burners and the flame is flickering, it takes forever to boil something. I wouldn’t recommend it because of that. If I were to do it again, I wouldn’t get it.

Our builder sent us to his appliance vendor to select kitchen appliances, whereupon a salesman convinced us to upgrade to Viking--there was some kind of package deal on at the time. The first 2 years were marked by constant frustration. The fridge had no shortage of problems (our version had a fridge above and freezer below). The hinges were replaced by a factory-authorized repairman twice (the first time, he forgot to lubricate them, and we ended up with a small pile of metal dust from the grinding metal parts). It took several attempts to get the door to stop swinging 180 degrees. The metal freezer rack started rusting (the factory sent the wrong part for the first attempted repair). Later, the thermostat failed and had to be replaced (it was actually my co-worker who diagnosed the problem--meanwhile, the distributor denied that could be the issue). At some point, I noticed the plastic door gasket was tearing, but I let that one go. These days, every time I look at the fridge, I cant help but notice that it isnt aligned properly. And of course, we never even thought to look at the Energy Guide sticker, where I was surprised to find its rated one of the least efficient refrigerators in its class. The oven arrived with a faulty door. A new one arrived, but the repairman sent it back because it had been damaged in shipping. The second warranty repair seemed OK, but my wife was always unhappy at how long it took for the oven to warm up. The microwaves magnetron failed under warranty and was replaced. But this morning, the microwave started arcing, smoking, and making spectacular sparks from behind the back panel. Its now 6 years old, and I think its life has ended.Im pleased to say that we did not roll over and play dead, and successfully argued our case to get Viking to cover all of our problems under warranty (except todays event). But my wife and I lead busy lives, and its been very draining to be constantly booking appointments, waiting around for repair people to show, and badgering the company. When we first bought Viking, I read all about how they studied and learned from Toyotas quality control systems. All I can say is, they couldnt have been paying much attention on those trips to Japan.

But I thought that it was out of my price range. I wondered where could I get something of equal quality but without all the bells and whistles, which was why I bought a basic Viking range with no electronics, just the straight goods. We dealt with Trail Appliance and liked them very much. The salesman there had the very same Viking range and was really positive about it. They also offered a free set of pots and pans once you bought your Viking range, but I’ve contacted them twice, and nobody has gotten back to me about it. That bothered me. Other than that, we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The ranges quality is excellent. My favorite thing is how hot it could get and how low it could go without disruption.

Ive known Viking from many years ago in the food service business. I wasn’t going with the Viking Refrigerator, but with the Viking cooktop. Both appliances came as a package deal and the sales pitch was one item would be free, so it was easier for me to do that. I would have never gone with Viking for my refrigeration purchase. I’ve been using the refrigerator for about a month now and it appears very sturdy and I feel its gonna last. It also appears to do a great job to have the room that I thought it did for its size. I also like the digital controls on top that tells me what’s going onPeople have to understand the options that come with their Viking Refrigerator, like the ice maker versus non-ice maker, down to if they have water filtration for access to waterspouts. Viking is really there when you’re looking at the quality. On the other hand, Viking is not sitting extremely well with me on the customer service side. I had the direct vent and it hasn’t worked since day one. After three months, they finally decided to replace it. I saved my money for a very long time for those items and they are the biggest expense Ive ever made on appliances. I was trying to decide between Wolf or Viking; I work with high-end kitchens a lot in my business, clearly I chose badly. Don’t make the same mistake! And seriously never use Appliances Connection; they are awful, rude customer service and no follow-up, not a customer centric company!

I wanted a Viking range for decades, so every time I looked at commercial-type ranges, it was usually either Viking or Wolf. But, Viking has always been the commercial style range that I wanted, but I put it off for years and years because I wanted the double oven size with six burners. Then I realized that to get the one I wanted, it would involve remodeling half of my kitchen to make space for it. So, I finally decided that, instead of putting it off because of that, Im just going to get the 30-inch one, so it would fit into the existing space. And so I did and Im happy. I bought ours at Colders, a furniture store, and I worked with someone who specializes in Viking ranges. It is an authorized dealer.Ive always had electric ranges my whole life. And one of the things that I havent liked in the past about gas ranges is the gas oven. Id prefer an electric oven and a gas stovetop. And now that they make dual-fuel ranges that are the perfect answer for me. Also, I just like the ruggedness of it. The hole that you put the pots on, theyre like army tanks. Theyre big, heavy, iron grates that are just so well-built. And the whole thing is heavy-duty that can last a lifetime. I like the simplicity of it, too. The electric range that I replaced was all digital. It had all kinds of extra digital features that I never used. This one has mechanical knobs, and everything works perfectly. However, the caveat is theyre expensive. So, you really have to be dedicated to cooking. If they were cheaper, I would have bought two. You really have to want that kind of a range before you are willing to spend that much money. Other than that, from the performance and quality of the Viking, it is 5-star all the way. It would be my top recommendation for a commercial range.

We went with Viking because it was highly recommended but the doors of the range we got were off and they would stick out to one side. The quality was horrible. They brought me another one and I told the guys to make sure that the unit is okay before they remove the one that I had. When they opened it, the guy said it’s worse than what I got. They took it back and brought me a different one. The one I ordered was a Series 5 and when the man came from Viking, he looked at them and said he was gonna move me up to a Series 7. It still had a little bit of a problem but their guys came and removed the bottom plate and kind of played with it. Now, it works perfectly. It took about a year until I finally got the one that I presently have. I had to go and buy an induction hotplate. Whoever is putting these things together, their quality control people are not doing a very good job. The range is wonderful but the experience was terrible. After paying so much money for a range and then have to deal with so much drama with it, I wouldn’t do it again. My son is building a new house and I told him to not get into a Viking stove.

I bought my home 2 1/2 yrs ago with a really beautiful kitchen. All appliances are Viking and the agent kept telling me they are the best products on the market. We have the two drawer pull out dishwashers. From the time we bought the house they do not clean anything properly. I have had technicians out various times, some telling us that cascade powder doesnt work and we must use gel capsules. Even if we wash the dishes thoroughly before they dont come out clean. I need them to work as they match everything in my kitchen. My viking microwave also doesnt work properly so I just use it to reheat. This house was remodelled around 5 yrs ago and from the time we moved in it was terrible. Who needs to clean dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher to find them still marked when you take them out. My daughter has the same crockery set and has a cheap dishwasher and hers come out spotless. Please someone help me as I need everything to match in my kitchen. Viking service are a waste of time and money. Thanks.

I’m a real estate agent so I know a lot about appliances. I had some requirements, like a French door, three doors and that special compartment with the special temperature. There were some features which when I combined with the money I wanted to spend on it, it came to this particular Viking model and I like it very much.

The house that we bought had the appliances in it and it included a Viking range. I’ve known about Viking Ranges for a long time but this is the first time I’ve owned any of their products. So far, the quality is great and I really like the look of it. But I’ve never owned a gas oven before, so Im still learning about it. It’s also a little noisier than a typical electric oven, but Im getting used to it. I also get that this is a professional range series so you’re not gonna have a timer like in an electric oven, but that is kind of nice to have.
