People say that Viking Ranges have good stoves and cooktops. Id say its high quality and Im happy so far. The simmer feature is nice, it heats up very quickly. One thing that Im not satisfied about is that I dont have that option of a griller anymore. Now its just a griddle, and I dont like it. But, beyond that, performance and everything else, Im very happy.

We moved in a brand new building and a Viking range came with our place. Its brand new and it seems to be of good quality, but it seems to take a very long time to pre-heat the oven and were not sure if thats normal. Its certainly not the case in my older cooktop. Well call consumer department and see what they say. On the stove part, I have to make coffee and I set down a diffuser because the openings on this grate are too large to hold my little Bialetti coffeemaker. It works much better than when I put it directly on the burner like I do at home, which is also a Viking, so we like that. We also have a refrigerator, a range, a dishwasher and a fan vent that are all Viking. I had some problem, called the dealer and they were not helpful at all.

The oven will intermittently not cycle and reignite to maintain temperature. The range is now nearly the end of the warranty and replacement parts, motherboard, and gas valve have been on backorder for months. After numerous calls to the authorized service center over the past two and a half years, the problem is getting worse. Just last Saturday, a family dinner was ruined because the range shut off and refused to reignite. The next day, no problem, the oven fired right up. Overall we are very disappointed in the lack of quality, value, reliability, and factory support. We would not recommend purchasing Viking products, and will not in the future.

Weve already had three issues with the range. First, the wiring harness for the burners that they installed was wired backward so they came and fixed that. Then, the thermocouple in the oven was bad and it cycled way too frequently. It took a long time to get parts but its fixed. The third issue, which isnt resolved yet, is theres a warp in one of the panels. As the oven heats up, that warp kicks loose and we hear a bang. These issues should have been caught by decent quality control and they werent. But the oven works and I love it. I love how easy it is to clean and maintain and it cooks amazingly.

I needed a refrigerator to replace an old one and fit in my actual receptacle for it. I like the size and the style of my Viking refrigerator. I have a lot of nice storage space. I like the extra bottom that has that shelf. I could put the pizza box on and thats a great addition for my family. I also like the glass iron on the door. I am enjoying Vikings refrigerator. Its working great and I love it. Plus, I had a very good experience with the dealer.

The ice cube crusher/cube maker has broken twice. The first time it was still under warranty but it took over a month for the company to send a repairman. The second time that the ice crusher/cube maker broke, it was just out of warranty. The very rude Viking phone representative said that the part (ice cube tray with auger) was back ordered for over 3 months due to the faulty design of the unit noting that the plastic parts keep breaking. The cost of this plastic until was ~$450.00!!! We reinstalled it and it still doesnt work. What a piece of **. I would never recommend purchasing this professional refrigerator/freezer. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

I am hoping (but not optimistic, after reading these reviews) that my Viking dishwasher can be fixed. Model # is VDB301SS. We moved to a new home over the summer & as much as I have loved my new kitchen, I HATE this dishwasher!! Isnt Viking supposed to be top-of-the-line?? This is not cutting the mustard--literally!! I have to SCRUBBB everything before putting it in & once cycle is finished, everything is still very wet. UGHHH! It goes through the motions & makes you think its cleaning, but really isnt. (Kinda like my 10 yr old....) Missing my Whirlpool Gold series. :-(

Its really nice that its just like an old-school type. You turn the knob and it goes on. Theres no timer. Its very simple. I didnt realize it until I brought it in the house because I was used to the oven, but I do like it very much. Its very easy to clean.

The first Viking refrigerator that was delivered off of the truck was dirty. The seams were split and the logo on the front was crooked. The truck people looked it over after taking the plastic off and put it right back on the truck. They rejected it before I did. It was 10 days until I got a new one and the second one has been good so far. We like it but I have one minor complaint. I have to turn off the ice maker because if I let it fill completely, opening the freezer drawer will knock a bunch of ice on the floor. I dont use that much ice and the ice tray is oversized anyway. Other than that, my Viking is high quality and it works well.

I’m sorry to say that this $7000+ refrigerator is the biggest piece of crap I ever owned as an appliance. I spent $1000 for custom panels too when I bought it in 2009 for my kitchen remodel. It broke so many times that it made me cry. I took care of the recalls with the door, had a new seal, had to change all the electronics on top, freezer always breaks and leaks, changed the fan too. I really want this replaced with something else. It’s all built-in too. Kitchen-aid made the same size in 36.” Wish I got that instead. Everything in my kitchen is KitchenAid and I’m quite pleased with it.

A friend of ours also had a Viking that we really liked the style of. We compared it against other ones in the showroom and generally liked the look of it better. We got a Viking range and dealt with MD Appliance in La Canada, California, and they were great. They were good at calling out the features and differences between them and the other top-of-the-line one that was like a Wolf. There are also a couple of very small, little, kinda like nitpicky things I noticed with the range. When the burner is at a very low setting, almost like on the simmer setting, it has a flickering effect on the gas burner. Also its not a smooth, sort of clean sounding burn when it’s up higher. So if I were to perfect the range, I would eliminate that kind of irritating flicker sound. The burners themselves are very heavy, which is fine. But the metal bottom of the burners is very rough, and it’s not a finished metal. So unfortunately when our house cleaner was taking it off of there, she scratched some of the surface of the range which freaking killed us, because it was like the price of a car. I wished that there was either some of sort of powder coat or some kind of finish on the underside of the burner that would prevent that type of thing from happening. But other than that were pleased with the quality and I have no problem recommending it.

It has been over a month now and mine hasnt been fixed. We had Viking replace the ice tray. They had to send the whole tray when it was just the round thing in the back. My Viking Refrigerator is nice cause it goes back in the cabinet. But my wife doesnt like it because they are not very built very well. The shelves got broken during shipping which costs $200 a piece. And for as much as we spent on it, it doesn’t have an ice maker or a water dispenser. So I bought a Viking ice maker. A Viking range was in my home when we bought it. But that one was a demo in the store and when they installed it, they messed it up and burned up some of the wiring. I had trouble with it from the get-go, so it was replaced by Viking. Replacing it was a long, drawn-out process. But finally, after them trying to find the appropriate fix for the existing range, they said, “We’re done. We’re gonna replace it, no charge.” I like the new range and the grill is so pretty. The original one I had was so heavy. I’m a senior, and just picking up the grates was terrible. This new range I got is much easier to clean. They’ve broken it down, even the griddle and the parts that would have to be taken out, and cleaned are much lighter. They did a much better job on the newer models.

We purchased a complete Viking kitchen with two dishwashers. The dishwashers, for the money spent, do not live up to Vikings reputation. The dishes are, for the most part, not clean nor are they dry when the cycle is done. Also, the dishwasher is always wet inside causing it to have a really foul smell. I bought a new Viking 48” side by side fridge freezer 10 years ago and had the kitchen built around it. It looks fantastic and I felt pretty smug thinking I had a sub zero look but for a fraction of the price. However, 2 months ago it suddenly failed and started heating up rather than cooling. Here is the problem - I’m in the UK and Viking no longer trade in the UK. Despite contacting Viking numerous times I am yet to find an accredited engineer that will touch it. Quote “ I used to work on them but it got so difficult to get parts”. I found a local engineer who has serviced it and replaced the refrigerant but it is still faulty and now he tells me there must be an internal leak and therefore impossible to fix. So I have a £6,000+ fridge freezer which is useless and being more than 300kg in weight I don’t even know how I can remove it. To date Viking has offered no advice or help. No customer service whatsoever.

We bought it from Best Buy and the woman was really knowledgeable and knew the brand well. She made the experience easy. I like that the Viking refrigerator is a counter-depth unit that we didnt have to have a built in. It was perfect for what we were looking for cause we didnt want to remodel the kitchen right away. The refrigerator also doesnt mark up easily and its perfectly designed. The drawers, cabinets and storage spaces are very well-organized. We dont have any problems shifting things around.

I was in contact with that company twice and they said, “Can you send us pictures of it so we know what our repairman is looking at?” And I did, but it’s been close to two weeks and I haven’t heard back from them. Nonetheless, Im very happy with the range. I like how the burners are raised, so it makes it easier to clean. They are supposed to be contacting Viking to set up an appointment for them to come out and look at the Viking cooktop and see what the problem is. I bought my first Viking in 2004 with my inheritance from my grandmother. I always dreamed of having a professional kitchen. I purchased all Thermador except for my Fridge. I have a Viking 36inch drawer freezer on bottom. Never ending recalls and issues then I purchased a new one from the company on a recall. The man showed up with the new unit and fixed the recall on the recalled unit. Well, that was in 2011, it is now 2017 and guess what? I am in the same shape as I was before. However, no deal. I have fallen on pretty much deaf ears. You can even YouTube funny skits about it, but the techs will look at you like you are the only person in the world. I have a mental block on that beeping noise when the compressor goes out and I am about to lose all my food. Good news though, I just found out they are indeed suppose to defrost themselves. So, if you are a gambler, like taking chances... maybe just maybe you will be lucky enough not to deal with what I have. Cheers!Updated on [05/06/2018]: I wanted to follow up with all the promises that were made to me. Well, that just did not work out so now I have a trusty 159.00 freezer from Sams Wholesale Club and my ice cream is now frozen. I found out that well they had also replaced the parts they replaced while I was ill for a pretty penny and they are still claiming no fault. However, my Thermador products are working like a charm and I will be investing in their products. Please learn from my experience... when you buy expensive products make sure the quality and customer support is behind you. I have no problem paying... but don’t give me Magic Chief with a Viking name on it. Not to mention treat me like a human being. I work hard for my money. I’m sure even Viking would not tolerate what they do to their clients.

It definitely compares with Maytag and KitchenAid and in that range, I think Vikings one of the ones that I would definitely go for. But price-wise, it is slightly expensive. They are also pretty small refrigerators. I wanted the 44-inch and has more options to choose but I did not see many so I finally ended up with the 36-inch ones. We liked the functionality of the Viking Ranges, the induction on one side, gas and griddle. When I was getting my range, it was quick because it was on the floor and they wanted to get it out as soon as possible. So through TA Appliances, I got it within a week or so. Then I had an appliance guy who came in, installed a power cord, and put it in for me. We use our stove quite a bit and in terms of functionality, it’s very good. But I ran into one problem that is currently being looked into. The ignition of my backburner is not coming on and not lighting that well. I called the TA Appliance guy who I got the range from and he set things up so that I was called by whoever the service team is here close to me. They were okay but some better communication as to what the problem was in the process would have been appreciated. I had to call a few times to really understand what the holdup was on getting parts. They said that they couldnt get parts over right away, but that wasnt communicated well.Other than that, my Viking range is fantastic. There are two ovens and theres a small oven on the right side. It would have been nice to get a second rack in there since we often have multiple things in there because of the conduction. There are three positions you can put the racks in but I couldnt find one. Theres none on the website or anywhere you can buy one. Itd be nice to grab some of those kind of accessories. But I managed to get a bamboo cutting board cover for the griddle and that worked out nicely.

My 3-yr-old Viking refrigerator RDDFF236SS stopped cooling on Oct. 20, 2015. We lost everything in the fridge and freezer. I have discovered online that countless people have had this same thing happen with this same model. Our local repair person told me its the compressor and other sealed parts, so I had to go directly to Viking. The Viking authorized repair shop cant come out until Oct. 28!Like others in reviews Ive read with the same problem, we are camping in our own home with camp coolers and daily runs for ice. If the repair person cant fix it on the visit tomorrow, Im contacting Viking again to request they buy back this lemon, which I had to do with our Viking stove a year ago, after the oven failed three times, two of those on successive Thanksgiving Eves -- not the holiday tradition I want. I finally insisted, on the third failure, that they buy the stove back at full price, which they grudgingly did after many, many phone calls. Now I have a Wolf range and couldnt be happier. I will never recommend Viking to anyone -- in fact, I actively tell people not to buy Viking. (I do want to say that the people at the authorized repair shop couldnt have been nicer about the Viking stove each time they had to come out.)

The refrigerator itself is a great-looking product but the ice maker is a real deal-breaker. My Viking range cooks great and very fast, too. Its a beautiful appliance however, I don’t believe theres a timer on this thing to time anything. I don’t like the fact that when I turn on the oven, theres a blue light that comes on but theres no signal that says when its gotten to the proper heat where the blue light goes out. And I have to be basically sitting on top of it to know the proper heat. Ive had other ovens that will beep when they’ve hit the right temperature. The other thing I don’t like is the ergonomics of it because I have to bend over to read the dials to see where theyre at because my particular range has a little bit of an overhang to it and the dials are underneath it. That’s a very minor thing but an important one to me.

I liked the way the Viking Ranges looked. It’s great and the quality is good. I’ve used the range a bit, but I haven’t used the over part as much because I have a wall unit and I tend to use that a lot more, and it’s Viking as well. And in comparison to what I have, the range is fantastic. There’s more surface space and it’s easier because I can put all my pans on top. I love it and it heats well. Although they’re expensive and I’m paying for the name, I like the idea of Viking. We had looked at a store and then my husband found a place online. He compared the prices and there was a better deal on this place online. So he ordered them online. Also, our interactions with the Viking reps were fine and the lady was nice.

I love to cook and I’ve always been impressed with the stuff from Viking. Ive always wanted a range from them. Some of the other brands dont meet my expectations. I got a Viking range lately and Ive had a bit of an issue with the burners. I’m out in the boonies so it’s on propane. But then, I don’t think the burners on the range burn evenly as I can get a higher flame on one side. Nevertheless, I love the six burners and the way the range looks. Its a convection oven also and overall its been performing well.

We had gotten a Samsung refrigerator before and it didn't work well. My husband always wanted a higher-end refrigerator. Viking was always the number one on our list. The purchase of our Viking Refrigerator went really well. We bought it at Pacific Sales, which is the higher end sales part of Best Buy. The delivery was good. There was one issue though. The handle wasn't tight enough, so it eventually became very loose. But when we called for service, they came out right away.

The logistics company delivered my Viking refrigerator to my house and dropped it off in my living room. They pushed it into the wall because its one of those built-in wall units. They didnt connect it or they connected it but it wasnt right. There was this bottom metal piece that was supposed to be installed. I asked the guys if they were supposed to do that. They said they were not allowed to install those for liability purposes. I would have to get somebody to do it. It cost me almost $500 to have a Viking specialist come out and install it.When the specialists came out, they said, “Your refrigerator’s not even drilled to the wall. Because if its not, what can happen is if you open the door, the whole thing could tip over and could crush you.” The guy said they were gonna secure it, which they did. That was a pain, to begin with. The refrigerator side works fine. But we noticed that the icemaker was really slow from day one. We went back and forth with the Viking warranty people and Build.com where I purchased the refrigerator from. They sent somebody out to fix it four times. After the last time, it still wasnt working right. It never would produce over 20 ice cubes. Every time they would come out, they would tell me to give it 24 to 48 hours and I would have a big bin full of ice cubes. That never happened. We had family over and birthday parties. I had to go to 7-Eleven and grab a bag of ice and stick it in my freezer. After paying $15,000, that doesnt make me happy.Build.com replaced the ice maker and its still not working right. They apologized and they went ahead and ordered me a new refrigerator. But that refrigerator is not going to arrive until April 2022 so Im stuck with this thing. It’s beautiful but it doesn’t make ice and the motor is really loud. I could have bought a car for that price I paid for the refrigerator so I want it to work 100%. Viking has been around for many years and they have beautiful products. After I placed the order with them versus Wolf, I happened to go online and I did some research and there are actually lots of really bad reviews. Viking is the least recommended. I have many regrets. I hate my refrigerator. We had issues with our other Viking products too like our stove and dishwasher.

Viking Professional Microwave VMOC205WH - Purchased this $1000 microwave as a Christmas gift for my wife in 2010. It replaced a 20 year old microwave (that still worked). Will not pop popcorn to this day. My wife noticed a place in back that looked like rust a couple of years ago. It has progressively gotten worse. I finally contacted Viking and told them that their stainless steel (inside) was rusting. I was given a Viking service center to contact. It had started sparking inside at rust occasionally. The tech came out and said he was not going to charge service charge because it was obviously a manufacturer defect. Stainless steel is not supposed to rust. He took photographers and turned in report to Viking. I called Viking and they said they needed photographs, to which I replied, the tech has already sent them. Approximately two months later, I received a call from tech service center (not Viking) that Viking was waiting for receipt. I contacted the store that I purchased the microwave and after much searching, found invoice and forwarded it to tech center who sent it to Viking. Their response was it was out of warranty. I had a 20 year old $200 microwave that performed well, yet this top of the line Professional unit didnt make it two years and then would not stand behind their product. Getting ready to replace stove and refrigerator. Guess which brand that will not be considered? Very disappointed. The place where I purchased unit said that Vikings service was horrible. I can certainly testify.

Our freezer arrived and then we had to wait a long time for the refrigerator. Then when we finally were getting it installed, it turned out that the freezer wasnt working. It didnt have coolant in it. So we had a couple of people come out to fix it. Weve also ordered parts for the new freezer but were still determining whether we want to put them in or not because it seems to be working now. Other than that, its a great refrigerator and the quality is good. I like the dispenser of water inside the refrigerator and it looks good.

The quality is good but Im not as happy as I thought I would be with it. It has some things that dont work very well. For instance, the ice maker is defective. Every time I open the freezer, ice cubes get out on the floor. So the refrigerator is not the best and Viking could have done better. I should have bought another one. Id also tell my friends that its good but they should check others. Other than that, I bought a Viking barbecue and it came defective as well. I had to call the Viking service but I also have to work and its not that easy to do these things.

I used to live in another house that was already built by someone else and they had Viking appliances. I am used to Viking and I didn’t have any problems back then and I was happy with the appliances. But now, I’m having trouble with the new appliances and mainly with the refrigerator. I had it replaced in March because of a water leakage and the new one is doing exactly the same. It is noisy, too. I tried to get the new one back in November from last year. And then, they sent me the fridge but not the freezer because the freezer was working right. They said they will match them because they’re independent units, but when the guy opened the box, it didn’t match. The handle and a couple of things that you can see were different. If you’re having your freezer beside your fridge, you want the handles to be the same height.I had to talk to Viking for them to take back the fridge. They had to arrange if I had a new freezer because they didn’t have the previous model in stock since they stopped doing it. They sent me both a freezer and a fridge, and within four months, I’m having the same issue again. The technician who came to fix it was the one who came five times for the previous unit and he said there was nothing else he can do. He said he did everything that was possible to switch, to change, to check if it’s working, and it is still the same. When he was here a couple of months ago, he said that Viking was having a lot of problems with the fridge and all their refrigerators were having the same issues. They don’t even know what is going on. The technician used to be a Viking technician and because Viking is having a lot of problems and customers are complaining about their fridge, he moved to another company. And the most recent time I called Viking, the same technician came to my house, but he was working for a third party who is giving service to Viking. I’m so disappointed and I’m tired of having a technician every four months and take everything out of the refrigerator for him to work on it for more than two hours.

Ive had a Viking stove for the past 10 years and I was pretty pleased with the product. And I bought a Viking dishwasher because my old dishwasher, that was approximately over 20 years old, went. So, when my built-in refrigerator went as well, I got a Viking refrigerator because I said, Im just gonna get a Viking. Everything else is Viking. I got my Viking refrigerator through P. C. Richard. In fact, I bought pretty much all my appliances through them and theyve been pretty good.I love my Viking refrigerator. Its roomy and holds a lot. So far, its a great product, so Im happy. I like the fact that the lighting is wonderful. You can see everything thats in it. In addition, I like the way that they have the drawers stacked. I have extra room to put other things in that I couldnt do with my other refrigerator because I had a side-by-side refrigerator then. So, if I had a wide tray, I could never fit it in that other refrigerator. But this one holds everything beautifully. The freezer is a little small, though. It holds a little less than my other refrigerator did but thats okay.

My husband and I like to cook a lot and we like the high BTUs. Viking is known for quality, and we also like the elegant style of the range. We did a professional kitchen with a remodel and really liked it. My husband likes the Viking ranges ability to sear steaks. He actually likes the steaks in the oven better than on the grill now. The only thing I dont like about the oven is when you close the door, it really wants to close. The first time I went to close it, it slipped out of my hand and it slammed shut. You have to really hold on to the door, unlike other stoves where theres some tension at the end and it wont shut all the way until you push it to close. Other than that, Ive put some water on the stove and I was amazed. I put it on the front burner, the high BTUs, and the water heated up. It was boiling within a couple of minutes and it was very nice to be able to have the features that allow it to work as well as it does. Weve enjoyed the range and I would recommend it.

Up until it broke, I was quite happy with my Viking refrigerator. But it broke in November (the evaporator failed - still under warranty). A service company came, diagnosed the problem and ordered the part December 5. Today it is March 10. In February the appliance repair company called Viking and they were told the part would come in February 26 and that it would be sent out by overnight air when it arrived. February 26 came and went. No word.Yesterday I called Viking and spoke to a customer service rep who took my info and told me someone would call me back. No one called. Today I called and spoke to a different customer service rep and was told that there is no expected arrival time of these parts to the Viking factory. I was told some people are waiting 6 months or a year. Im sorry but I call BS on that.Heres the thing: This is a popular model of refrigerator. Clearly they must be getting these parts at the factory and installing them in new product to be sold while ignoring current customers like me. Not only is this bad business, I believe it is dishonest when they tell me that none of these parts have come in. Im kind of an in internet guy. This is the first review of this situation that I have left. There will be more. Viking is making a mistake. If they rectify it I will come back and modify this review. But dont hold your breath. And if you want your food cold, definitely consider what might happen if your Viking refrigerator stops working.

I finally got a whole set of the Viking Professional at Fergusons. The refrigerator has been installed for one year now and so far, I like it. It’s a tall refrigerator with a big door. The freezer is at the bottom and is spacious, then there’s a drawer that comes out where you could put meat or veggies. You can see everything, and nothing gets lost. Weve always had Sears products so this is very different. It’s so beautiful and it looks so professional like it belongs in a restaurant.

Purchased a complete kitchen full of Viking professional series products in 2008. In 2011 the microwave quit working. In 2011 the stove top igniters are always trying to light a lit stove. 2011, dishwasher spray arm fell off (plastic broke). Ongoing is my fridge freezer side by side. Too warm on top but frozen veggies in the crisper. The oven always seems to take a little longer to get to temp then in 2014 would never get to temp. Have called the Authorized Viking distributor and have always been transferred around. I have been pushed to an authorized repair company and been fleeced for labor and materials. Dealer came out for dishwasher and after talking on the phone for an hour told me it would be over $500 to fix. I paid him for the service call and found the part online, and put it in myself. Took the microwave out and just bought a GE. No one wanted to work on the micro. Pulled the oven out of the wall, called the technician and he came out to troubleshoot. Told me the lower element was out. He quoted me over $550 to fix when the part came in within the next few weeks. I paid him the 140 for the trip charge and service call and found the element online for 111. I put it in myself. An absolute hassle and this is unacceptable for appliances that are supposed to be top of the line. Never, I mean never... NEVER will I ever buy another Viking product. Pure 100% crap. I have a mother in law apartment that does not have a single Viking product. Never have issues. I have Kohler throughout the main house. Hardly ever an issue. If there is one, I talk to KOHLER and they send me what it takes to fix. I cannot wait to remodel my kitchen!!!

My wife wanted a Viking, nothing else. She was shopping left and right for it, including seeing if she can get a used one. She walked into the Viking dealer where we purchased the range from and they had a sale of this particular range along with a free dishwasher. Our experience at the dealer was nice and easy. We just signed the bottom line and the range got picked up when we needed it to. Im not a professional chef, but with the Viking Range, it looks like Im in a professional kitchen. It is a 48 unit with 2 ovens which intermittently work. At first they told me that they couldnt repair it unless they were there when it malfunctioned. After hundreds of dollars spent on repair parts, it finally malfunctioned while the repairman was there and installed Vikings prescribed new parts, and they still cant figure it out nor are they offering me to replace it. We’ve had our old Viking Range for at least 14 years. We did some comparisons this time but still ended up with Viking because of our past ownership. The quality of the new range is top-notch and it has the ability to do the low simmer on the burners, which is really nice. In the oven, the slide rails are really nice, for the racks, too. The Viking dealer was terrific, knowledgeable and very nice and we had done a lot of background research so we didn’t really have many questions for them. However, we had a problem with the oven igniter so we called them back and they had somebody out to fix it the very day that I called. They were completely supportive.I love the burners and the oven itself and I’m getting used to using convection. The old oven didn’t have convection so I’m playing around with temperatures. I really like the new ranges quality and some of the features but there could be some improvements. One of those is the oven fan runs for a really long time after I turn the oven off and it is annoying to have that constant fan there. The oven window and the oven light are really miserable. There might be better ovens out there, in terms of the oven light, oven window, and that annoying fan. But other than that, it’s really nice and sure is pretty.

It’s like a long drawer and has a nice size since I can put a lot of stuff in there. On the other hand, the toe grille was not put in properly. One side is lower on the floor and the other one is higher. Even though we try to screw it in, it doesnt do anything and it just keeps coming down. I was thinking of calling the other day about that because it was bothering me. But other than that, Im very happy with my Viking. I opened every two-door, swing-out model and looked at the trays, shelves, drawers, and guides, and how well these were made and fitted. Compared to their competitors, Viking had the product with the best custom interior and guides for drawers and shelves, and they were hands down above all the other ones that we saw on the market. Also, our experience with the dealer was excellent. They do a nice job and we buy a lot of appliances from them. The ref we got from them is nice and we like it. This refrigerator is a disaster! The ice maker has broken repeatedly since Ive owned it. Repair calls and bills for that and it still doesnt work. The plastic handles on the bins are all broken. When you pull on them to open the drawers, they break. And the worse thing? It leaks. I have thousands of dollars of damage to my bamboo floor. After having this repaired, I see that the pan under the refrigerator fills up with water every few days. This is a refrigerator, not a high tech device. The engineering should be mundane. Ive had other refrigerators from GE that are far less expensive that never needed servicing. Nothing with this refrig works and I dont understand how this company could release it for sale, not have a recall, not replace them, not offer money back. The product is totally defective.I see that many others on this site have experienced the same problem. I am considering instituting a class action lawsuit. If you are interested, please let me know. It is unethical, bad business and fraudulent for the company to sell defective products and then not stand behind them.

The Viking refrigerator is well-lit and well-designed. The only criticism I have is that when we open up the bottom drawer and let the icebox fill up to the top, as we pull out that drawer that has the icebox, the little metal piece that you flip up and down to turn off or on the icemaker very often grabs a roll of ice cube, shoots them into the back of the refrigerator, and they come flying out underneath the freezer compartment. If I was 30 years old picking up the cubes it wouldn’t bother me as much, but Im 70 years old and having to lean over and pick up the ice cubes when they fly across the floor is not something Im enjoying. What weve been doing is once the icebox is filled, we flip the metal bar up and we leave it off until the box is fairly empty and then put it back up again. I don’t think it has to do with a malfunction and that they could fix that without redesigning the refrigerator. If someone asks about Viking, I would tell them to consider making sure that they look at the design of each of the refrigerators and make sure that this particular design is something theyre gonna be aware of in case they buy this model. This is a problem Im having with this model and maybe another model doesn’t have that problem.

The director of appliances of the whole chain was the one there and he went over everything. He explained the differences between the Wolf and the Viking then I called my wife who called the builder. It’s wider than what we planned out for the unit, but the builder said that if we wanted to do it, they would make it work. My wife came right over to look at it. She liked it and we ended up buying it on the spot right there. Then we had to buy the hood and the motor. It was a very good experience but we called in several months ago and they were supposed to send us the thermometer but we haven’t received it. Outside of that, it’s been a very good unit. We had the opportunity to use the Viking in summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. It works great for us.

After that they put me in contact of the service company. They said they would call me in three days and I waited. But then I had to travel for one and a half month and even until I came back they have never called me. I called again last week and they finally set up an appointment to solve the problem. I went to the store and looked at all the different refrigerator models. I was doing a kitchen remodel and I was going for a certain kind of look. I was looking at the GE Café and the KitchenAid that had the kinda industrial handles. I didn’t find Viking Refrigerators until my second or third trip. The thing that basically made me go to the Viking was that it had the handles that match my GE Café double oven. It looks very similar. Also, I was going back and forth between the French door and the side by side. But when I finally decided on the French door, and that was a whole process, the thing that drove me away from the GE and the KitchenAid was the inside design. I liked Vikings inside design the best. Some of the situations on the others were, when the door was open, you couldn’t open the vegetable drawer all the way unless you really, really open the door wide. Sometimes, the French door even blocks the drawers from opening. Another issue was that a lot of times, the shelves had an enter too at the back so things would fall down the back. I didn’t like the fact that it’s like if I put something on the shelf and if it’s small enough, it’s gonna end up falling down at the back of the refrigerator and I really didn’t want that hassle. But the bottom line is I like the look. The quality in terms of not having maintenance issues was good.

Im very happy with Viking products. I consider them very good and very well-built. Its very reliable. I had the previous Viking range for eight years and there were no problems at all. Its a very good brand thats why I wanted to have it. However, the process of this particular case of me getting this range on a deal (I found a great deal of a new unpacked range for almost half the price) and the things that followed werent great. I got the range, brought it home, installed it then there were some problems which I reported in my communication with the company. It was quite lengthy to get the proper technician to come and look at it. Theres a whole process that I experienced talking to the company and the company has another company hired for public relations. I got an email from that second company that the issues were being looked at. Then the same second company recommended the local tech but I wasnt happy with the tech that worked initially. The local company that was hired to look at the things that are not functioning reported something that wasnt complete. So, I had to recall the technician and another technician came. They ordered the parts that were malfunctioning and they installed it. The second tech finally solved it but it was about two months of smelling gas and its been quite stressful. The process could be something more straightforward like you talk to the company and get a response from the company. There are no middlemen and no broken chain of relaying the problems that are reported.

I had nothing but headaches with my Viking Refrigerator because of the little thing at the top for ventilation. The guy installed it too far to one way. He acted like he knew what he was doing and as though it was no problem. He took the tape off, and put it all the way to the right when it should’ve been centered up. The guy from Pac Sales says they’re not going to do anything about it. I said, “I’m an older person. I can’t take it off.” We’ve got to pull the refrigerator out and the thing at the top. My real dilemma is that they want me to take it off, take it down to the store and get the new one to put it back on. The lady says, “Well, why don’t you hire a handyman to do that?” I go, “A handyman? That’s gonna cost me money to have a handyman take this off.” I felt very dissatisfied with that situation. I like the refrigerator and how it’s keeping certain things cold. Its roomy with lots of different compartments. Its really nice and looks beautiful. My favorite feature would be the ice deal because I can just scoop it out. But I’m having a problem with the filler thing, that I feel I’ve been gypped. I should’ve been more assertive towards the salesman and the others. I was lost in the delivery and now I’m at odds with them to have it fixed. Viking should have some very faint lines from the top of the refrigerator where they should’ve had the insert.

I have a three year old Viking 6 burner range. When I try to turn on to preheat oven, instead of preheat light coming on it clicks into clean mode and clean light blinks, and oven doesnt preheat. I phoned our Viking repair person this morning and coincidentally, I am the fifth person to call in the same problem in the last week. She also noted that our ranges are of similar age. Very curious if this might not be a recall issue?

Im from Mississippi so its not hard to hear about Viking Ranges here. I wanted to support a homegrown company and I cook a lot and have heard good reviews about it. I also had some friends that had them and enjoyed them. I appreciate the way if I spilled something on the top of the stove or something overflows that has a lid on it, the cleanup on that is not bad. Its pretty easy for me to clean up compared to the last stove combination I had. However, I have not been very pleased. I have a gas top and oven and the gas oven has been very difficult to regulate. It takes forever to heat up, way longer than ever expected for the oven to pre-heat. I have to turn it on a good 30 minutes prior to and sometimes longer. I put my own room thermometer in there because I dont trust the temperature setting. I hate the way the gas comes on and off. Early on, I was having struggles with everything being too dark on the bottom and light on the top. My appliance man said, Youre not waiting long enough to pre-heat. Youre gonna have to wait. Im also frustrated with the oven size. I have a big oven and a little oven side-by-side. The little oven is half an inch to an inch too small. And the big oven, when I try to get something in there like two pans or skillets, they dont fit well either. I cook all the time and I prefer large groups. We have work entertainment that I do all the time. I tried to do two big pork shoulder roasts at the same time. It was in there for hours and difficult to get both of them in there the way the pans were. I wouldve taken an inch out of the big one because its not helping and put the inch in the other one. Theres also the fact that its hard to clean on the inside. Viking makes a big deal about not scratching anything and not using anything harsh on it so Ive been very careful. I have to heat it up just a little bit and then have a wet rag and muscle it to get it off. When I spill something over, grease gets on the aisles of the stove and I havent gotten those off. I cant get those off without having to use something harsher than they recommend. We bought the vent that goes over it and Ive been hugely disappointed in that too. Its really difficult to get the grates out to wash them. I cant talk to anybody if I turn it on since it is obnoxiously loud. I also bought a warming drawer and thats been okay but theres a little spring-like lever that goes on it to make it click into place, and it broke for some reason. The appliance guy said, Well have to order that part. And then he went to order the part and Viking had stopped producing those parts for a while. He worked on getting a part to help with the regulation of the temperature in the oven and called me to come out and put that one in. But I dont think its going to help and I dont see what its going to do. Overall Im dissatisfied and if I could get rid of it, I would. If I hadnt spent so money, I wouldnt be quite as dissatisfied. But when you spend that much money, you expect a lot.

The Viking range is a little bit different to cook on than a regular range. Things seem to get hotter faster. It’s not that it’s a bad thing. Its just a little bit of a learning curve. I have a little bit of a concern as to how to clean this oven since it’s not a self-cleaning oven. Also, the fan in this range is extremely loud. After I use the oven, it is on for a good hour after I turn the oven off. I had a guy out here and he told me that thats just the way they are. Still, someone should have mentioned that before I bought that big ticket item. But the quality is fine.

We were building a house and we were wanting a bigger range. We started looking around the Austin area which is about 100 miles from where we’re actually located. We went into the store, looking at all the different products. Then we found a company closer to us that carried all the same brands except for one that we were looking at. But that company in Fredericksburg said they’ve had people in this area who requested the same range that we were looking at but the manufacturer doesnt come to service it. So if something happened, we weren’t gonna get service on it and that was one of our things. Then we started looking at Viking and they said that Viking comes out to this area and services the appliances that are messed up. So we got the prices and the features on everything and the representatives told us about everything. That was what made us choose Viking. Besides, Wolf was way too expensive and I couldnt see spending the money to get the same product. The reps were also very helpful. If we had questions or concerns, we called them on the phone and asked them, and they remembered us. So as far as helping us and selling, they were fantastic. One thing I also noticed is that, versus Wolf and Thermador, Viking has all the burner heads in the same size. And I like that. This is something that drives me absolutely nuts – when youre trying to cook somewhere and you have a big burner here, a medium here then a small one here but you gotta cook three large pans. You only really have one burner for it. With Viking, I don’t have to worry about that and that made a huge difference. The range is awesome. The ovens are taking some time to get used to just because they cook faster. But that’s a good thing. We were also kinda regretting that we bought a range this big. But in the first couple of times we’ve used it, we were almost using every single burner and the ovens at the same time. I thought it was a good thing we bought this. In terms of the use, the care and trying to clean it, everything is great as well.

Placed an order for Model RVGR33015BSS from Us Appliance. It was shipped by one carrier and brought to Denver. The order was then moved to another carrier for the trip to Trinidad Colorado. I went to the carrier and picked up the oven (we live in a rural area). Upon inspection of the box for visible damages I found none. I did not open the box. The box was unloaded at my house by me, and we took the oven inside... we noticed the door was open on the oven but when we got into the house we found that the brackets that held the outer door to the inner door were broken and the outer door was hanging by some screws. I notified US Appliance with pictures. They came back and told me that I had damaged the oven and it was my problem. I contacted Viking and my customer rep told me there was not much she could do. I was told because I picked up the stove at the shippers; it was my responsibility. There was no other damage to the stove. One small dent on the bottom of the front kick plate that was not visible. My wife and I decided to go forth and repair the oven ourselves. I had a local welding shop, reweld the brackets on the front door panel, we purchased a new piece of glass and reinstalled the door ourselves. FYI the spot welds that held the brackets on were at best way too small and the welds did not penetrate into the parent metal.I also noticed the oven would not light, so I took the cover plate off and inspected the spark for the oven part found the cover plate was installed incorrectly and the spark was grounding on the frame. I took the cover plate to my shop and increased the size of the hole by 1/2 and repaired the spark boot and it is working better. However I did notice the oven will not light from the convection bake position. I have to start the oven in bake and after it gets hot move it to convection (I think the fan caused a draft).Im disappointed in US alliance and will not do business with them in the future. We love our rebuilt stove. Serial number 111715C10200028. Im giving it two stars because I think the stove may have been damaged at the factory, and the stove could have been packaged better. It was placed on a pallet with flimsy straps. It is possible that the unit was damaged by a shipper but there are no marks on the box indicating a fork from a forklift got into the wrong place.

Im really into cooking and Ive heard about Viking Ranges a long time ago. When we were looking to purchase a home, it all had Viking appliances, which is what sold the house. I have a fridge, range, wine fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. Everyone at the Viking dealership was super nice, helpful, and explained the different models. Unfortunately, I have electric where Im at, so there werent too many things to pick from on that side of things. So we went with the D3 and its been great. The only thing that stinks is my wine fridge went out and Ive been trying to get it fixed. The quality of the range from Viking is awesome. I like the ability to control the heat range. So, I can go up to three rings, and to get a pot of water boiling fast, I put it on all three. I also like that I have a couple of different convection settings. Ive never cooked with convection before and its really awesome that I have the ability to do that. If a person has the money to do it, its definitely worth doing because its a great feature that they have and offers.

I saw the Viking refrigerator in the store and I liked the way it looked. I liked the way the handles were. It pretty much had straight lines. Weve had it for a couple of months now and we love everything about it. It’s the first time weve had a bottom freezer. Before, we had a side-to-side which my wife and I both hated. Because with the side-to-side, at least at the time that we had it, you couldnt even get a pizza a box in there. Although there was an issue with the trim kit that we got, I cannot brag enough about Viking. When I called to report that problem, they put me in touch with the right person right from the very beginning. I took pictures of it and sent it to them then they looked at it and got right back to me. They said, “Guess what? You found something we didn’t know about. We actually have a problem with the manufacturing and so we’ll get it corrected. He said they would get another one sent right out to me and he did. Even after I got it, I got a phone call, following up, to make sure that we got it. They could not have been better.

We purchased a complete Viking kitchen which included a range top, downdraft hood, a dishwasher, a Dutch oven, the refrigerator and the convection microwave. We’re satisfied with everything except for the refrigerator because every time you open the freezer, the ice overflows to the floor and I think it’s a design flaw. It doesn’t happen every single time, but the ice builds up and theres no back on the refrigerator, so it goes straight down and falls on the floor. So, somebody has to get to the floor and pick up the ice cubes. But I like the digital controls of the fridge and everything else is fine. Im very surprised about this one item and I know that LG makes their refrigerators so that may be the issue here, but I have heard only good things. I did a research because I know that previously, there were problems with the Viking refrigerators, and I was assured that that had been taken care of. It may be a minor adjustment but weve only had it set in place for three weeks, so weve been dealing with it. If it continues, then Im gonna rattle some cages.

Weve had Viking in the past and the Viking refrigerator was in the house when we bought it. It was a new Viking, so we registered it. Its probably the model that was chosen, but to not be able to have water in the door is difficult. When I open the door and want to pull out that longer middle drawer, I cant without opening both doors. And if I want to pull out the right side drawer, I cant do that either without opening the door. Theres nothing I can do about the shelving or the way the drawers is pulled out. So, it isnt really all that convenient. We cook all the time and its difficult to arrange the refrigerator. A Sub-Zero is a better refrigerator for us.Also, were used to having a gas range, so Im not familiar with having electric. The rangetop doesn’t heat quickly and when I turn it off, it doesn’t turn off quickly either. So, its really a challenge to get it figured out on how long do I cook something. And the oven, too. It’s not calibrated properly. So what I normally would cook in 20 minutes takes closer to 30 minutes. I would not recommend Viking to a friend. The dishwasher is the same thing. Those are expensive appliances and I am not that thrilled with any of them.

We were building a house and knew that we wanted a chef standard range. Viking was one of the options and the price was fairly decent when we purchased it. I like the gas burners and the convection oven which cooks our food faster. The quality is also very good. I previously had an electric range and its not even in comparison with my Viking range, not even close. However, we recently had to get two of the switches replaced for the ovens and the ovens were down for almost a month. There are only 2 companies authorized to work on them through Viking and the D&T Appliance is not a very good company. Viking had over 300 of the parts in stock, but it took forever to send them and get my ovens fixed. Were in the process of selling the house and I dont know if Ill buy another Viking because of that. Viking knows theres something wrong with it. They wont have 300 of those parts in stock if those switches werent bad. I love my Viking range but I dont know if I would recommend it because of the customer service. If there’s nothing with it, it’s the best range out there. If something goes wrong with it, good luck.

We purchased a 30 inch Viking Gas Range about 5 years ago and were so impressed with it we bought their dishwasher 2 years later. What a mistake. The dishwasher was very quiet and we did not realize the pump was running continuously. The electric bill soared and we finally realized it was running. I called Viking to find local service and they tried to send me to a repair service about 100 miles from where I live. When we found the local authorized repair service they pulled it out and found a very small moisture sensor in the bottom tray under the dishwasher was to blame. The repairman could not get any information on when Viking could send the part. When I followed up directly with Viking parts, I was told they would get back to me, but never did. I was eventually told by Vikings authorized repairman to throw it out. $2,400 for a 3 year old dishwasher and it was useless. I replaced it with a Bosch. Now it is the gas range. The oven wont light, the burners wont light first time and the grill goes out. We replaced the electronic thermostat ($378) and it initially worked, but has now reverted to pumping gas into the house without ignition or resignation if we manage to get it going. Viking neither stands behind their products nor have a value even close to their costs. They could give these things away free and they would not be worth the risk to life.

Luckily, my son is an engineer and he took all the shelves out and took the inside back off in order to find the poorly engineered problem and caulk it. His repair worked. Also, the clear parts of the drawers all cracked. This is obviously a quality control problem, but when I contacted them, their response was that the refrigerator was out of warranty. I have a friend who remodeled their kitchen five years ago, and they have Viking and the kitchen looks so chic and had clean lines. I went with a six-burner and a full range. The home that we purchased, we seriously upgraded the kitchen and there was a cooktop and a double-stack range which is not my style. I was raised with a one range and I liked the versatility that Viking provided with the 5 Series range that we have. I looked at others and its just the right size. The six pilots is perfect because theres more room to cook. The space in the conventional oven is large enough, both the top and the bottom, to heat up the turkey and also the casserole and the dressing at the same time. I have the Viking hood and the switch of the light that illuminates the oven range needs to be adjusted because the light blinks on and off. But so far, everything is great. Im very pleased.I have the whole set - the microwave drawer which is very sleek, the dishwasher, and the refrigerator. But we had a Samsung which had more space in it than we do in the Viking. Thats the only complaint. Were pleased with it. I compared it to other brands. And for what I was willing to pay, Viking fell right in the middle. It wasnt too much for me because, where we live and the upgrades that weve done to the home and the overall increase in value, I thought that the appliances should reflect the neighborhood. Its one of those things wherein that is a fixture that adds value to the house. Kitchens and bathrooms sell a home. And to walk into a kitchen, especially ours, from how it was when we purchased it, to have so many nice upgrades and one of the top of the line appliances, it added instant value to our home. That was the other reason why the whole package was worth it.

Weve had our Viking for years now since we renovated our kitchen. I love the look of it as well as the induction cooktop. It is incredible. But in the last year, we spent thousands of dollars on getting both the panels of our induction cooktops replaced. The guy that I called at Viking was awesome and he helped get it through. That one was covered under warranty. But there was a stocktake that happened right before Thanksgiving and Viking shut down for it. That meant that parts didn’t ship for weeks and weeks. Who shuts down a cooking warehouse for stocktake the week before Thanksgiving? It’s the most important food holiday in the entire country. What kind of management decision was that? It was insane. We didn’t get the part for our range until after Thanksgiving. We got the first side fixed just before Christmas. And then about three months ago, the other one went out and. That wasn’t under warranty anymore and that cost us over $1,300. The same thing happened with the part too. The guy gave the part but Viking sent the wrong one. The guy came and installed it, but it didn’t work. He then got another part. It came back and it still wasn’t working. He finally figured out that time that they sent the wrong part. The guy came back a third time. It was like a complete saga. I had to be home four times to get the second side fixed. Viking range is incredibly expensive. We probably could’ve bought a range for a third of the price. I expected this thing to last for 30 years and not have a problem with it. But since these induction panels started going out, it had been a nightmare. The other one that was replaced under warranty the other day is doing something funky. We have to keep an eye on it because it has a 12-month warranty on it. Also, my understanding from the text is that there are only a couple of companies in the world that make induction boards. Whatever products you buy, you’re basically getting the same induction board in there. And this one is the best. But it still seems like there are some issues with the technology. At this point in time, it’s been very disappointing overall. You don’t expect to pay for a top-of-the-line range to have to then deal with this repeatedly. When the range is working, it’s wonderful. I love it! I just don’t love that it keeps breaking and it cost me a fortune to get it fixed. It is unacceptable. The interesting thing is the company we’ve been dealing, Appliance Pros, has been pretty great although it was frustrating having to call and be told that Viking was shut down or the part was not yet shipped. We felt bad for the guy who came and fixed the last issue we had. He made four visits for one repair that could have been done in two visits. Im dissatisfied with Viking.

I have a Viking side by side fridge, double oven unit and a range top - While the range top seems to work Ok The Fridge is the worst, between the ice maker not working properly, water evaporation unit does not work (a known problem) where you have to empty/wipe off the water from under the unit, and various shelf draw handles and side door, doors have broken off (replacements are expensive). The oven works ok but in the first year all the temperature and oven controls (bake, convection bake, broil etc) have worn off, and its not like I used steel wool to clean this, but really how is this even possible? I saw Viking in other peoples home and Ive heard about it before. I liked the look or their design. My builder bought the Viking refrigerator when I moved to the new construction five years ago. The refrigerator part is okay. I like the shelving and the refrigerator is very spacious. The look of the refrigerator looks great and looks very modern. Functional-wise, its a big refrigerator and it has a lot of space, but other than that, its just a refrigerator. Also, I had an issue with the freezer recently. It has a drain pipe to a pan underneath it to drain water. The pipe got blocked and there was icing there. I had the repair service to repair it. I learned from the service guy that I need to do maintenance every year to move the refrigerator out and then its back to prevent any blockage. I had a bit of interaction with the vendor and their service was okay, although it will be helpful if the appliance dealer could have a stronger service department.I have about everything from Viking. I also have a dishwasher, microwave, range, and the hood above the range, but the dishwasher has many problems. It has been serviced by the technician three or four times already. When I had the dishwasher problem, I called the service company and it took seven to 10 days for them to show up. Sometimes I had to wait for a long time for them to show up. I may not want to buy Viking at all because although I had good experience with the refrigerator and everything else, if one has a problem, I may have to buy another different set. I need to have matching appliances. Viking has to take care of everything including the one that I have a bad experience with, the dishwasher.

We replaced our previous Viking Refrigerator, with model VC5B5483. The unit continues to give us problems, just as the previous Viking did. The freezer side continually has frost issues, and 3 times since we purchased, the temperature spikes high and we have to discard hundreds of dollars of frozen items. We have no confidence in this Viking and have Viking in the entire kitchen including: range, range top, compactor, dishwasher. We spent another $10K on this Viking and expect it be fixed or replaced. We could have gone with Sub Zero, but stuck with Viking, as we like the look. Hopefully this can be resolved, quickly. Thank you.

I wanted all my products to match so I got a Viking fridge. However, I wish that it has an internal water source. It seems like a basic thing that all the other providers have that Viking does not. I saw that they have a unit that has that, but the one I bought didnt. There was a lot of back and forth with the dealer about it and there was a miscommunication. I was told that it had an interior water source and they may have said yes because they just misunderstood. So interacting with the dealer wasnt a really good experience. Also, I wish they would have contacted me to see how things were going during installation and after installation. I tried calling them but I wasnt getting through. I think that contributed to a lot of the miscommunication because they werent picking up the phone and contacting me directly. Furthermore, my freezers broken at the moment. In terms of getting assistance to help get things fixed, it was tricky. They contacted me but they werent able to fix it. They had to call a Viking service provider and they got out and the parts are on order now. If youre thinking of buying a refrigerator from Viking, look at a different company instead.

I found out about Viking 20 years ago and back then, I couldnt afford it, but Ive always heard the great reviews on the quality. I remodeled my kitchen in October and it was a good time to do it. After two months of purchase though, I ran into an inconvenience. Some time in December, we were trying to bake for the very first time and when we turned the knob on the oven, it broke from edge to edge, in the middle. It might have been some type of factory defect, but things happen. We had not even used the oven, but I called in, and it was under warranty.Viking has a third party customer service where I called their number, and they did it with just the serial number. They assigned a technician to come, but they mailed the part first to my home.Once I got the part, I called them back and let them know that the part has arrived. We then scheduled the technician to come by and replace it. Since then, the knob has been a little tight. I can still make it function, but it doesnt run smoothly like the rest of the knobs. Another thing is that, the very first burner on the right-hand side is the one with the most flame. Its supposed to be the most intense flame on the range and it makes a blowing noise when its on. This is the only burner that does that. Still, I love the quality.

The control panel for our double wall mounted Viking range went out two months ago. Since then we have been trying to get it fixed. After a delay of 7 weeks, the part came. The part was defective and we have heard nothing since. I have twice talked to Albert Lee sales people about the company and the miserable record they have for repair. They said they were aware but will continue to sell Viking. When I asked about warning people I got no reply. The repair people are slow but are at the mercy of the company who bought Viking. Mr Selim Bassoul is the culprit at this company Middleby. They bought Viking and immediately the problems started. They closed the Distribution company in Washington and moved all parts supply to California. They bill themselves as the supplier for the entire Southwest. When I tried to explain to the parts tech about my problems, he curtly told me to be quiet and to move ahead. He didnt seem to care what the customers were going through. Its really too bad as they were a great company. Now they are the worst. Stay away at all costs from them and the people who support them.
