Dacor Range Model DTI30P876BB Error Codes

CODE: F0
PROBLEM: Shorted Or Jammed Input Device This failure will appear if a shorted or jammed input device is defective. Possible causes include shorted wires or a defective membrane switch.

CODE: F1
PROBLEM: Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit” ERC Self-Diagnostic circuitry has detected a failure in the bake/broil system. Any portion of the ERC, relay board, touch pad, heating elements and related wiring may be at fault.
How to diagnose/repair potential cause:
Step 1: Disconnect membrane from ERC. If an F-1 alarm is not activated within 30 seconds, check membrane function test points with an OHM meter. (refer to page 20 of the Diagnostic Test Manual) If the membrane test switch fails, replace membrane. If membrane test is good, continue to step 2.
Step 2: At ERC check for 24 VDC between J2 pins 1 and 3 for upper/single ovens or J5 pins 7 and 10 for lower ovens (when lower oven is not in a cooking/clean mode) **Note: F-1 must be showing in the ERC/Clock Display. I you read 24 VDC at those test points, replace ERC

CODE: F2
PROBLEM: Alarm Heating Mode High Temperature Is activated when the ERC senses a runaway heat condition or when the temperature exceeds “runaway limits”. The ERC will beep until the cancel or another function is selected. If the alarm repeats the F2 alarm check the oven sensor and wiring after first checking for a stuck relay. If alarm goes away verify the oven will complete a clean cycle without any type of failure.

CODE: F3
PROBLEM: Alarm Shorted Oven Sensor Occurs when the ERC senses a short circuit in the oven temperature sensor for 16 temperature conversions in a row. F-3 will appear in the digits and a beeping will be heard. If the alarm does not go away after pressing the cancel key check the sensor and wiring. **Important Note: This test will only be performed while a cooking operation is being attempted. The F3 alarm will not be displayed in the time of day mode.

CODE: F4
PROBLEM: Alarm Open Oven Sensor “F4” will be displayed along with a beeping if the ERC determines an open oven temperature sensor circuit for 16 consecutive oven temperature conversions. **Important note: This test will only be performed while a cooking operation is being attempted. The F4 message will not be displayed in the time of day mode. **Important note: If the oven sensor is open the bake modes cannot be activated. The controls will be non-responsive. Look for this failure, as at first appearance you may suspect the ERC or selector instead of an open sensor. A strange number may also appear in this failure mode.

CODE: F5
PROBLEM: ERC self-diagnostic failure Replace ERC.

CODE: F6
PROBLEM: Alarm EEPROM Checksum Error The brain of this oven (so to speak) operates a series of software commands. These commands control the various features and functions of the oven. A numerical value has been assigned to each function or operation. The numerical values can be added up - this is the check sum operation. Every time the system is powered up and after each clean cycle the system performs a check sum and compares the value to the value programmed into the software. (stored in memory.) An EEPROM check sum error or F-6 alarm occurs when the values differ. Only the time of day and timer operation will operate. If you receive a F-6 alarm replace the ERC.

CODE: F7
PROBLEM: Alarm Door Lock Enabled Above Temperature “F7” will appear in the digits and a beeping will be heard if a failure in the clean lock/ phase circuitry is detected for 16 seconds in a row. Check the door lock switches and door adjustments.

CODE: F8
PROBLEM: Alarm Door Locking Switch Occurs when operating the door lock motor if the motor runs for two minutes without seeing the phase switch change positions. This failure will normally occur only when a clean mode is started. If it occurs check the door switches and wiring.

Product Reviews:

We purchased a Dacor 30 Heritage Gas range and installed it in early Oct 2020. Within a day a gas leak from the back of the range was identified by our gas contractor. Dacor repaired it quickly (12 hours). I was impressed (though concerned it already had an issue). In December 2020 I noticed that the oven indicator light was not coming on. I contacted customer service and despite indicating that there was a problem, was simply told what the light was for. Then, in February 2021 (under 5 months after installation) the oven stopped working. The service technician indicated it was an electrical issue and the gas would not ignite. It has now been over two weeks and we still do not have it repaired nor any indication of when it will be repaired. We spent $5200 on this range. I do not recommend Dacor.

We have had problems with the igniter switch which clicks when I have a large pan or pot on the stove. My husband has tried cleaning the igniter tip with a brush as well as the removable ring but we still have that problem. We also have a Dacor microwave that seems to blow a door fuse pretty often that has to be replaced.

We bought our Dacor 30” gas range in September of last year. We were tired of cheap stoves that lasted 5 years before they needed to be relegated to a landfill. We thought it was an investment that would provide us with a reliable appliance and worst case scenario, better warranty repair service than Home Depot or other big box store. After 15 months, the igniter for the oven stopped working. We tried the 800 number on the warranty registration website and no one there could bring up our registration, even though I could see it on the website. They gave me an email address to contact the people who could look it up and I heard nothing for two days. I called the 800 number again and they transferred me to another number and they finally found our warranty registration and issued a ticket for the repair. The company they use for warranty work in Toronto, is Home Appliance Repair GTA and they are absolutely horrible. They said they ordered the part on November 27, but they did not actually order it until December 6th. Dacor then sent the wrong part! I demanded that they send the proper part overnight and on December 13th they called and left a voicemail saying that the part would be here by today at the latest. It did not arrive and this evening I emailed them again and their response was that the part would be here on December 19th. How does it take a week in this day and age to deliver anything? I don’t believe that I will even have a functional oven for Christmas this year. I have already given up on any baking getting done. I will never buy a Dacor product again. I actually really love my stove, but I am beyond disappointed with their warranty service and customer care.

I am very, very pleased to report that I was contacted by Dacor a day after I posted my review which addressed a second failed relay board in 7 years. A really helpful Customer Service Representative called me (not emailed) to discuss the issue in great detail. Within a matter of days, a local repair service had received the new part from Dacor and scheduled an appointment with me to come out and replace the defective part. Dacor covered both the part and the labor. Im really sorry that the oven needed a second major repair but I will say that Im impressed with Dacors resolution of this issue!

I purchased a DACOR Discovery IQ Range one year ago Model # DYRP36DS/NG from an online authorized DACOR retailer. Here is a synopsis of the events Ive had with the range over the past 12 months: I took delivery of the Range in January of 2016 at my home under construction. I moved into the home in April 2016 which is when the Range was fist installed. In May I began to have problems with the unit, it would shut down during preheating, then reboot itself, sometimes it would just reboot itself randomly. I called DACOR customer support who told me that I needed to download the latest software version, which I did. Shortly thereafter, the Range again would shut down during cooking and go into a reboot cycle.I called DACOR again, they sent out a local service company. In June the technician came out and upgraded and re-installed the software. The problem continued, I contacted DACOR AGAIN, got the run around, etc... Escalated the problem. DACOR then determined the problem was in the internal circuit board which they arranged to shipped to local service company. The service company came out again, replaced the internal circuit board and attempted to upgrade the eProm, which didnt work. The Range was in a constant state of rebooting itself over and over and over again. The Technician left. Said nothing more he could do. I had to shut the power off so the unit would stop rebooting itself.I called DACOR AGAIN, I got a complete run around, they refused to do anything more. I finally was able to reach the V.P. of Customer Service. After a few conversations and investigation into the issues. She determined that the unit needed a new front controller panel. The panel was shipped to the local service company. The service company came out again and replaced the front controller panel. Its now November. Over Christmas, the unit began to shut off the oven randomly during cooking cycles, for no apparent reason. Over New Years, the oven was shutting off, flashing an error code and reboot! I called DACOR last week. They refuse to help because now it is out of warranty.Ive contacted the online retailer. Ive left messages at DACOR for the Service Manager and the V.P. of Service. NO RESPONSE. So this is how DACOR deals with servicing their high end appliances, keep trying to pretend to fix the lemon appliance until the anniversary date, and then they dont have to deal with their $9,000 piece of garbage high end range any longer. The consumer gets screwed and DACOR doesnt care in the least! DO NOT BUY an appliance from DACOR.

We purchased a Dacor built-in refrigerator in 2011. After just 5 years the warning beeper came on. We learned that the main control panel - built by Whirlpool - was defective. We then learned that Dacor did not have any replacement part for this model. Our only alternative was the purchase a new refrigerator. Amazing!! Dacor reluctantly gave us a partial credit for a new (KitchenAid) model. However at the end of the day we are out of pocket over $2000 because Dacor built and sold a defective refrigerator with no ability to fix the problem. Very unsatisfactory handling of this situation.

When our installer removed the packing material, he saw that the oven glass was shattered. Dacor said they would fix it, but wouldnt tell me how. I had to call the local repair shop to see what parts were being shipped. Only the glass! Not even the whole door. The idea that they would take apart and reassemble a brand new oven and consider that acceptable service makes me angry. This is supposed to be a high end company. I responded that this was unacceptable since the oven had obviously been dropped (shatter pattern spreads from the lower right corner of the glass) and might be a safety hazard. No response yet. Ill update this if/when I get a response.

Our Dacor oven is 2 years old and the oven door stopped closing all the way
Our Dacor oven is 2 years old and the oven door stopped closing all the way, rending it inoperable. The company is now owned by Samsung. I tried to schedule a service call to repair/replace the door hinges. This should be a simple process. However, because I purchased the oven through a designer and Dacor dealer, I had to track down the order verification to demonstrate that I am the original owner of the oven (this is in addition to providing a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase). It took several days to resolve this issue with my designer and rep who sold me the oven. Then, I scheduled the service call on the phone only to receive an email hours later advising me that the service call had been cancelled. No explanation was provided. After rescheduling the service call several times only to have each call cancelled, something finally worked with Samsungs tracking system and the service call actually took place.Dacor is the Mercedes of ovens and I expect a service call to be a little more expensive. However, other providers of luxury products facilitate the product support to minimize customer aggravation. Samsung needs to work on its product support and customer service. I would not purchase a Dacor product again since there are several other manufacturers that provide comparable luxury kitchen appliances with much strong customer support.

My wall oven spontaneously heating to 800, will be fixed! Thank you, James of Dacor for contacting me again and for arranging for my wall oven to be repaired at no cost. When our oven is in top working order, we love the convection option and we love the internal temperature probe. The people at Dacor offer the friendliest service I have ever encountered and I thank you so much for that.

Regarding my previous complaint on 3/21/12, I had a Dacor fridge, model #EF42BDCBSS, installed in my brand new kitchen in March 2008 (Ive a kitchen full of Dacor). It subsequently had a problem with the drip pan in March 2009 and was fixed on warranty. Come March 2012, the fridge was again diagnosed with the same problem. The technician told me there had been a design problem, but after three re-designs, it was remedied and should have no further problems once the new part was installed. The bill, $658 and more than half, was for the part! Of course, I was livid because the fridge had been fixed in 2009 and was now off warranty. When I expressed myself originally, I was simply venting about the price of the repair without hope of a remedy. James at Dacor customer service called me promptly that next morning and left a message! We subsequently talked and he immediately got in touch with my local appliance service center. He not only worked out with them refunding my deposit for the part but also ordered two other parts that were necessary in order to fix the problem. The outcome? They fixed my fridge at no charge to me for parts or labor, and all I had to pay was the original trip and diagnosis charge. I cant begin to tell you how extremely happy and grateful I am about this. Thank you, James, for such terrific follow-through and thank you Dacor for being a top-notch business who stands behind your products!

We bought the Dacor Wall Oven (ECS136SCH) in 2006 during a complete kitchen remodel. In 2009, the relay board was replaced twice. The first time, it was over $500 to replace. The second time, it was covered under the parts warranty when a terminal was bad. Now, I need another relay board and a new element which will cost over $700 to replace. For an oven that was originally over $3000, this is not acceptable, but what other choice do I have? The technician told me that Dacor has the worst mark up for replacement parts. I thought I had done my research and found that Dacor had a good product. I guess I was wrong.

Worst oven Ive ever purchased by far. Pay big bucks and get junk. About 2 times per month, the oven will not heat up. I cant count the amount of wasted food and dinners out, because it does not seem to ignite, only warm up to about 100 degrees. We moved into our newly built home in April 2012. I purchased the Dacor 30" microwave drawer to complement a 30" electric oven that is installed just above the microwave. I am very happy with my purchase, it is stylish and works well. The drawer is spacious, I can fit multiple food items in it and they all cook evenly. We use it daily and couldn't be happier with it. If I ever move, I will purchase this microwave drawer again.

I have a Dacor 27 inch wall (model EOR) oven which I bought 2 years ago, along with a micro and a warming drawer. Since then, the control panel has been replaced twice. Both times because, after using the timer mode, the beeper would come on at all hours of the day and night. In both instances, I had to cut the power to the oven until the replacement part arrived. I am presently waiting for the third panel to arrive. Today I needed to bake something, so I turned the power to the oven back on. Now it will only function at 350 degrees and only in the bake mode. No other numbers can be put in and nothing happens when I select convection. So far Dacor has absorbed the cost of the parts and repairs, but that does not mitigate the hassle of having to wait upwards of 2 months for a part each time this happens.

I have a 4 year old Dacor Renaissance 36 in gas range. The thermostat is broken, the self-clean cycle doesnt work due to a broken lock and the oven indicator light stopped working about 2 years ago. Pros: It is an attractive oven with the knobs that light up blue when on and the burners all work fine but that is it! The technician told me ALL parts I need are on backorder due to Dacor being bought out by Samsung 2 years ago and COVID related delays. He also told me there is no ETA on those parts and said it could be an unknown amount of months. So now I dont have an oven for an unknown amount of time. This is unacceptable. I was sharing my frustrations with a friend who recommended I post this on Dacor Applicances Facebook page. He thought I would get an immediate helpful response. So I did. It was taken down not more than 3 minutes after it was posted! They never even reached out. Pretty poor company service. I will never buy Dacor anything again. Even when the oven was working ok - it never kept good heat and the self-clean cycle never cleaned well - there was lots of grease residue left behind. This is a poor quality company all around. Believe the negative reviews. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I remodeled my kitchen about four years ago with all Dacor appliances. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I have since replaced the refrigerator after only two years. After spending over $1000 in repair calls and parts, I purchased a new refrigerator as the freezer motor went out and had water all over my floor countless times even after new parts were installed. The ovens also have been replaced (12 months ago) as the lower heating element went out and had the upper and lower ovens go out with panel failures. I was so stupid to install the 30-inch dishwasher, as well. It also went out after 18 months with a motherboard failure. The upper rack glider also fell apart. Having the 30- inch dishwasher, I would have had to have a carpenter come in and make adjustments to my new cabinets. So I found another 30-inch Dacor dishwasher at an appliance store in Memphis, had it shipped to me and installed. It has been 10 months and I am now having the same problem I had with the previous Dacor dishwasher. It never ends! With the only option left but to have the cabinet remodeled, I will be purchasing a third dishwasher 10 months later. The only good that came out of this is the cooktop is still working (as of this date). All I can say is, if it says Dacor, dont purchase the product! This company shouldnt even be in business! What is even more pathetic is, when you call the Customer Service number, their representatives have such a I could care less attitude. It is a waste of time to even attempt to seek a solution to your problem. I guess they feel that since they have your money now, its the consumers problem, not theirs.GE Profile products are far superior and a lot less money. It goes to show an expensive price tag doesnt mean the product is superior.

In 2001, I bought a Dacor dual range stove. I paid over $2000. My problem is that there is a defect in the product; when you use the self-cleaning, the outside of the stove cracks up. Dacor has replaced this three times and each time it cracks again. I spoke with them about a year ago and because I didnt continue the warranty, they wouldnt replace it. I carry a home warranty. My stove looks like it came from the junkyard. I understand them not repairing a physical problem with the stove but the outside is crumbling because of a defect in their product. If you dont clean the oven, then you get an error and the only way to get it off is to clean but all that dose causes the outside to crack up more. It pains me to think of buying a new range when I thought I had done my homework, when I choose Dacor. I hope this isnt too late, but it pains me to think after another cleaning I may be forced to buy another stove.

We were out of state from December 21, 2014 to January 2, 2015. The condition of the refrigerator was discovered at about 9:30 PM on Saturday, January 2nd. Upon opening the door the Dairy Compartment Cover fell to the floor. We could immediately see the damage but did not know the source. As a result, the unit was turned off. The owners manual was consulted along with a review of the Dacor website. The office was closed on the weekend so Monday was the earliest we could obtain names of Dacor authorized repair agents in the Phoenix area. A authorized Dacor repair technician stated the light switch or light circuit in the board failed. The interior light bulbs located at the top of the refrigeration side of the unit remained on when the refrigerator door was closed. The heat generated by the continuously lit bulbs led to the melting and charring of the plastic light fixture. The light socket melted, the wiring harness melted into the socket assembly, light switch, and control panel. The heat was intense enough to warp the Dairy Compartment clear plastic cover, some of the adjustable door bins, and the interior door liners. Also, all food containers made from plastic such as salad dressing bottles, mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise, etc. were disfigured. Of course all the contents from both the refrigerator and freezer had to be disposed. Before leaving on an extended trip we had been following the instructions preparing for a vacation listed on page 19 of the owners manual. On our departure date the food that would not have lasted more than two weeks was removed from the refrigerator. The ice bin was emptied and the wire shut off arm was raised to the OFF (O) position. Note, page 19 does not mention to set the Sabbath mode when leaving for a short or long vacation. We were fortunate that the damage was contained within the refrigerator.

Purchased a Dacor freezer. Freezer does not come with outer panel. Understandably, because you can choose to put your own custom panel on or order one from Dacor. Found out Dacor was bought by Samsung, a few years ago. So I decided to order a Stainless steel door from Dacor. One of Dacors reps suggested I order from J@J international. I placed order and two days later they called back saying they cannot ship door to me UPS nor FedEx will ship it. They refunded my money, so I reordered from someone else. Got ss panel toe kick and handle. Opened box only to find out no hardware, brackets ss trim for sides screws and so forth. I assumed mounting hardware would be with door. So began the part search for parts. Come to find out Samsung changed Dacors part #s. Vendors who sell the parts could not come up with parts or told me not available. Reliable parts agent told me this. I was told they should have come with freezer. Meanwhile called back Dacor to someone who specializes in dealing with these issues. She took over 45 minutes of my time giving me the impression she was gonna resolve the issue. She finally said we have the parts and inferred that I must have not talked to reliable parts. I assured her I did. She continued to refute what I told her. I have been right at two months trying to get freezer door installed. I called an Appliance dealer in Salisbury Md. to get assistance. He told me when Samsung bought Dacor he dropped line. I now see why. It has been the worst experience I have had with a company that has absolutely done nothing but appear to be concerned and say they are sorry but do nothing. It looks like it will be another 750.00 to get a couple little trims and brackets and a few screws. If I had it to do over I would never have gone down this road. This has been a two month old nightmare that is still going on. Best advice I can give is steer clear of Dacor/Samsung. Was going to buy matching column refrigerator. Not now.

We purchased this oven February 2009. On 6/7/11, we had to replace the touch pad assembly. On 12/16/13, we again had to replace the touch pad assembly with a cost of repair to this point of over $900.00. The over cost $2,395.00 when purchased. On 3/16/14, while on convection/bake the oven switched over to broil. On 3/20/14, a repairman came to the house. The condition did not replicate but the repairman, in conversation with Dacor, determined that the fix, if this should happen again, would require the replacement of the relay board and ERC control at a cost of $700.00. On 3/27/14, while on convection/bake, the oven switched over to broil. I called Dacor and was forced to leave a message.

We have a Dacor Epicure 36 six burner range. It has been a regular source of trouble since it was installed as part of a kitchen remodel in 2006. The igniter for the broiler went out 18-24 months after we got the oven. A year or so after that the weld that holds the bottom oven rack bracket to the oven itself popped loose making it impossible to use the lowest rack position in the oven. Last year the circuit board that controls, among other things, turning the bottom oven element on stopped working. Not only is the board itself quite expensive, but it is buried deep under the top of the stove taking lots of expensive hours of repair time to remove and replace. And now the burner igniters have begun to over spark (e.g., continue to click long after the burner has been lit, burners sparking that have not been turned on). The repairman tells me that is a different circuit board so we could be heading to another $500 or so in repair bills or perhaps a trip to the dump and a much cheaper replacement range. We have had other Dacor equipment (cooktop, wall oven, warming drawer) and have not had a problem with any of them. But given our experience with the Epicure I cant imagine ever buying another.

I owned a 36 Dual Fuel Epicure range that required at least an annual repair for the same thing. The control pad (the pad with the buttons that controls the oven and light) would fry. This would cause the oven light to come on and off like a strobe light. Luckily, I purchased an extended warranty from the vendor, as each time this was replaced it was $750+ to repair. When I complained to Dacor on their support line, the representative actually told me that I was running the oven too hot!About 6 months ago, I sold the house and left the very expensive range behind. It was problematic from day one. Other repairs included replacing the ignitors. After a year of use, the insulation on the door came loose and was hanging in plain view through the window on the door. Every repairman that came to service the range said the same thing.... that they repair a lot of Dacors. When it worked, it was a great range. If you do buy a Dacor, do yourself a favor, buy the extended warranty. You will need it and it will pay for itself.

We thought we bought a quality product when we remodeled our kitchen two years ago and put in a $3000 30 inch wall oven from Dacor through their dealer Friedman’s in Knoxville. We had heard for years that their products were top notch and high-quality. I find it interesting that the oven has a self-cleaning function. However Dacor Technical advised me that if you use the self-cleaning function you will create too much heat and destroy the motherboard. Wonderful input after the fact. The oven now does not keep a correct temperature and we are advised that our oven is two years old and out of warranty and we should not have used the self clean function. Really? Why is the button even there. Do not under any circumstances purchase any Dacor product. I feel comfortable in saying Samsung will add absolutely nothing to the quality or service. The lack of customer care and concern is beyond reproach. One star rating is way too generous. How do you just walk away from your products. We used our clean function exactly once and nobody ever said it was a self destruct button.

As an add-on to my original review, I had a a service call to address the LC error code. The service company reconnected my unit, turned it on, ran a couple tests, and declared there was no issue. We ran the dishwasher 1 cycle and it worked just fine. Tried to run it again later that day, and the LC code was back again. To resolve the issue, I worked with the company I bought my appliances through to replace the Dacor dishwasher with a Bosch. That happened today, so it is too early to tell say how the Bosch works, but it is more solidly built, has more capacity and the door fully opens with the panel installed.Dacor did reach out to me to try to resolve this issue, so kudos to their customer support, but the issues were just too many. And as I stated in my original review, love the Dacor range top, double oven and refrigerator.

Updated on 01/25/2021: After my review in December of 2020 I have continued to fight for a resolution with Dacor. Dacor appeared to be unable to resolve the issue and sent the issue to parent company Samsung. Samsung set up an appointment for repair then cancelled it saying parts were not available and that they would authorize a refund. I supplied the invoice and filled out all necessary documentation, including my banking information so they could wire the money. Today, a Samsung representative called and said I needed to talk to Dacor to finish the process, even though I was told everything was approved.I called Dacor and to no ones surprise they said this would have to be approved and only one person can make that decision and they are hard to get in touch with. Oh, and by the way, 10 days ago the second oven failed. Yes, the large oven that did not work when I purchased the unit. It was repaired in September and has already failed again. I now have a double oven Dacor range and neither works. This week begins my 10th week of fighting with Dacor for them to honor my warranty (again the unit was installed in August 2020) or refund the purchase price. At this point the range has been out of commission half the time I have owned it. I strongly suggest you heed the warnings here on this site. I wish I had listened.Original Review: On August 3, 2020 I purchased a 48 Dacor Gas Range. It was installed a couple of weeks later and the large oven did not work. It took better than a week for Dacors authorized service company to come out and diagnose the problem. The parts took another week to be shipped and then another week to have the repair made. It was a defective thermostat that was preventing the oven from igniting.Fast forward to November 24. In preparing for a big Thanksgiving, we turned on the small oven, only to find that it did not turn on. It had the exact symptom as the large over and would not ignite. I reached out by email to the agent at Dacor who had worked with me before, only to receive the below response: Thank you for contacting Dacor – We are no longer able to provide support by e-mail. Please contact us at U.S. Toll free: 833-353-5483 we are happy to provide personal support. Now begins the worst customer service experience of my lifetime. After opening a case, I have now talked with a dozen different agents and have yet to receive a resolution to my problem - a range that cost over $7,000 that did not work out of the box and has now failed again in a three-month period. I have spent hours on the phone and on hold and was eventually directed to Samsung on December 9 because Dacor could not get the parts. Samsung promised to refund the purchase price of the product is the parts did not come available by December 16.December 16 rolled around and now Dacor is saying that Samsung made the promise, but that they are different companies. Remember, Dacor directed me to Samsung and Samsung does own Dacor. I have been told that the parts for my oven are no longer available. After continuing to push the issue I am told that it is now in management review but that it may take 2 weeks for a decision on my case. It has now been nearly a month since I opened the case and I appear no closer to reaching a resolution on my failed Dacor range. I have asked to speak with a manager, but I keep being told this is not possible right now.I do believe that Dacor is in breach of their warranty. I have been more than reasonable in allowing them to remedy the situation. Since this was installed just over four months ago, it has been out of service in one of the two ovens for a total of 7 weeks. For anyone considering the purchase of a Dacor appliance, I strongly caution you to read the reviews on this site and other sites. If you are lucky and get an appliance that works and never fails, you might be happy. If you ever have to invoke your warranty you will hate your life. I regret that I did not heed the warnings. It is truly unbelievable to me that in 2020, any company can stay in business when they display such disregard for their customers. Be warned.

Updated on 05/11/2021: I wrote a review about my terrible Dacor stove, and I was amazed when I was notified within a couple of days that Dacor wanted to help resolve my issue. I was asked to provide some basic personal information, which I dutifully supplied. That was weeks ago and I havent heard a peep since, and I doubt I will. Clearly they do this just so they can mark these reviews as Resolution in progress to make it seem like theyre doing something to help. But as far as I can tell its nothing but a smokescreen. Dont be fooled by resolutions in progress.Original: Our Dacor stove is the worst stove I have ever owned or lived with in my 50+ years. Within 2 years after we bought it, the oven had stopped working twice and 2 of the 4 knobs broke. (Ive never had a knob break on any stove before.) Luckily an appliance repair person (not specific to Dacor) was able to get the oven working both times but told us replacement knobs were not available. We have tried generics but nothing fits. I have been juggling 2 knobs on 4 burners for more than 3 years now, and STILL Dacor has no replacements available. Six months ago we inquired again and were told they had a new model of knobs available that would fit, but we ordered them and they were on back order and never became available. Meanwhile Dacor had already processed our payment for them (which is illegal, I believe) so we had to deal with getting that refunded because our hope of the knobs ever being in stock was gone. This is also the loudest electric oven Ive ever owned. It sounds like convection is on every time you use it, whether or not its actually set on convection. That lasts for 20 minutes after you turn off the oven, too. Also, periodically the stove emits a loud BEEP and resets its computer for no apparent reason, sometimes when Im cooking (oh, you had a timer going? TOO BAD - who knows when it will be ready now!) and sometimes when the stove isnt even on at all (just thought you might like to reset the clock - AGAIN).Furthermore, the oven door has a special design with an open space at the base that allows dog hair to get sucked in from under the stove and collect between the 2 layers of glass. So we get to view our food through dirty HAIR. Apparently thats why the oven is so loud, because it takes a lot to suck up all that hair from under the stove. This can be cleaned, but you have to remove the door to get to it, which is not easy - I cant do it myself. Its so embarrassing when we have people over for dinner; I just hope nobody notices the hairball in the oven door. After reading through the other Dacor reviews I consider myself lucky to be able to cook at all. Buyer beware, dont EVER buy anything from this brand. Its total (expensive) crap and customer service is nonexistent.

We purchased a Dacor wall oven when we renovated our kitchen in 2010. After five service calls, a replaced circuit board and broiler element, they found a broken wire which must have happened during clean cycle. I purchased my Dacor Epicure Range 8 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen. My other appliances were made by GE and Bosch. Ive had to service my GE appliances a couple of times in the last 8 years, but it is the Dacor that has given me the most grief and it was the most expensive appliance purchased. It has never been reliable with regard to convection baking. Initially I thought it was my inexperience with a convection oven. I read everything I could get my hands on and kept trying...after talking with a friend who does quite a bit of baking I realized its not me, its my oven. Then the real problems started. First it was the broiler/ignitor, next it was the membrane in the keypad. Two months later it was the relay board and this time it was the broiler/ignitor....Again! Started calling Dacor when the relay board went out because at this point I had spent $1,000 on repairs....after I had paid $4,000 for the range itself. For the last two repairs Dacor has paid for the parts, while I paid for the service call and labor. This has reduced the cost of my last two repairs by about 50%, which is very helpful. However, Im still very disappointed in the product. I spend a good deal of time in my kitchen and do quite a bit of baking, cooking, and canning. I thought that if I spent more money and bought a high-end appliance, it would serve me well. At the rate that Im going, I will need to purchase another range, unless I want to keep throwing money into repairs on this one, which I dont. I will not ever purchase (or recommend) another Dacor product again.

Wish Id known Dacor issues when buying my oven. (Primarily for style - yes, assumed it would function as stated; high end brand). Thank goodness I DID NOT BUY other Dacor appliances. My 30-inch Dacor oven/cooktop burners work but finish started coming off quickly. Above range microwave handle broke within a year. MAIN PROBLEM: OVEN DOOR either wasnt properly installed because it doesnt close flush with unit or its hinges have loosened over the years. Although oven eventually heats, it takes forever. After examining door hinges closely, looks like oven has become unhinged - as have I. No loose parts seen. Recommendations? Other than STEER CLEAR OF DACOR.

In September 2009 we did a complete remodel of our kitchen. Replaced everything but the refrigerator, with DACOR appliances. Within a few months we had problems with the dishwasher and finally replaced it with a GE in 2012. About that same time we had problems with the Dacor Epicure 30 Single Oven Model EO130SCH control panel and had to have the repairman out to work on the relay/computer board. At Christmas 2015 I had trouble baking, the temperature wasnt accurate and have had the repairman again. He says that the computer board is fried (his term). Ive tried calling Customer Service with no success. Ive e-mailed them with same results. The appliance repairman has told me that he cant find the part. All the distributors that hes called have been told that the part is on back order. Ive been without an oven for over two months now with no fix in sight. Have been told that IF we find the part it will probably run around $500.00. These are appliances that are only six years old and have had gentle use by senior citizens. Anyone reading this - PLEASE DONT BUY DACOR! Youll be sorry as I am.

Updated on 05/12/2020: I wrote a review of our Dacor kitchen and gave the company a review of 2 stars because the cooktop, ovens, and hood blower all have failed at some point. The real issue is that the company doesnt support products after sale to quote them they do their best... The other problem is this site, it allows companies to claim they are or have resolved issues, without a response or comment from the customer about what the Companies Resolution entailed. Sending me an e-mail that says sorry the thousands of dollars you invested in our products only bought you up to 7 years of replacement parts, isnt what most people would call a Resolution. After months of working with the retailer and Dacor the e-mail below is what they consider a Resolution:Subject: Dacor customer service **Hello Mr. **, We would first like to thank you for staying a Dacor customer for as long as you have and would like to apologized for the inconvenience. As a manufacture we are constantly innovating products and at some point parts and units do become obsolete. Dacor does provide parts for as long as we possibly can. Once the appliance becomes obsolete we are only required to hold parts for up to 7 years. We again thank you for being a Dacor customer. Be safe during this pandemic. Have a great day. DENISE ** | Customer Service RepresentativeO: (833) 353-5483 x** F: (626) 403-3130Original Review: We built a new home in 2003 and purchased Dacor Preference appliances. Including a 6 burner cooktop, double 30 inch wall ovens, warming drawer, a microwave, and large hood with a remote blower. All the appliances are stainless. We enjoy home cooked meals and prepared at least one meal a day. Our kitchen is a work place not a show place. So these are my feelings after 16 years of use.The Cooktop has plastic knobs and a rubber gasket under each burner and piezo electric igniters. All of these items have failed over the years. I replaced the burners some years ago because when the gasket fails the burners sputter and liquid spills leak into the bottom of the cooktop. Replacement burners fixed the problem for a while but the burner design makes this a point of failure. Additionally, the burners were expensive so were back to sputtering burners and disassembly for cleaning. One of the plastic rings under the flame control knobs broke, weve ordered a new ring ($26) a couple of months ago but Dacor cant give us an estimated delivery date. For the past few years the Piezo electric starters only light half the burners, (they spark but the burners dont light) not a big deal but these are high end appliances, using a match to light the burners is definitely 1950s.The 30 inch double ovens are a great size for bakers like us. The Convection feature is great. However, the first time we ran the self cleaning cycle on the upper oven the door handle on the bottom oven bubbled and melted. The real issue with ovens today, is that Dacor has stopped making replacement parts including the electric heating elements. So even though we spent nearly $3,200 for these ovens, Dacor no longer supports them. The Microwave never worked correctly and we replaced it almost immediately. At that time Dacor used relabeled Sharp microwaves. Finally, Im not a fan of cooking smells in the house. So, we purchased 48 inch hood with a 10 inch inline blower. This week it failed. The motor hums but the fan doesnt turn. So replacement parts? Nope. If you decide to purchase Dacor be aware that the company doesnt provide support for their products in the long term.

I want to clarify that the warranty that was sold to me by an upscale appliance center was NOT a Dacor extended warranty and I believe that this caused my issues to slip thru the cracks. After a few days they came to our home to review the issue and noted that this was a known design issue with the refrigerator and that our house water pressure maybe too high and they would have to come back out and install a special valve to fix the issue. Later they called and said Dacor will not acknowledge this as their issue and to call a plumber. Epicure Range, wall oven, microwave and fridge - When remodeling our kitchen in 2010, an appliance salesperson gave us a good deal on the entire set. We spent $20k on the Dacor appliances. BIG MISTAKE! Do not ever buy anything Dacor. We have issues with every single one. Where do I start? The ovens have gone out three times now and I have had to replace the main panel, now it will not heat at all. The refrigerator 42 built-in is a big piece of crap! We have had it serviced 4-times for everything. The entire fridge freezes over due to a design flaw. The fan in the freezer completely ices over. The ice door broke. The crushed ice broke. The plastic door for the butter broke. The shelves broke. The microwave has had issues and has had to be fixed. The oven temps were wrong. Fixed those myself thanks to YouTube. When talking to the service guy he said that these are cheap appliances with the Dacor badge, so you have to spend big bucks to buy them and big bucks to repair! Do yourself a favor and if you are thinking of Dacor run! I contacted Dacor and they are even worse to deal with. They did not care that their appliances are very unreliable. Updated on 02/23/2021: Its been several weeks since I first posted. The only reply that Ive received was an email via this site that requested information from me on my claims. What I did receive was a notice from Samsung (who has acquired Dacor) telling me that one of my service tickets has been cancelled. I dutifully called the listed number to get more information... only to be told that the Samsung customer service rep could not help me and that I needed to call Dacor. Ive tried to approach this matter with humor up to this point but I am out of patience. Given the price I paid for these products, I expected a premium customer experience... the experience I have received has been abysmal.Original Review: I did not think that a customer experience could be this AWFUL or that a vendor could seem to care less than Dacor cares about resolving my issues. After 5 months, the exhaust downdraft that we purchased still does not work and Dacor either does not respond or - when I can get someone on the phone - I get any number of standard excuses (parts shortages, Covid, port backlogs are delaying deliveries, the integration with Samsung, etc, etc). I am also missing basic parts such as shelves(!) that should have been installed during the original installation. The retail partner (Specialty Appliance) does not seem to have anymore luck in getting answers.

This is the second time I have purchased these appliances and unfortunately each one has been a great disappointment. I have spent enough in repair bills to almost purchase a warming drawer. Each one shuts down when the self clean button is turned on, and then I have to call a repairman out to recalibrate the oven to work each time I try to use the self clean. I was told by the last repairman that the life of the oven is greatly shortened if you the self clean mode. If this is the case, either fix it or take out this mode. After I had the oven about a year the oven door glass blew out, and this had to be replaced. The temperature in the oven is very unreliable in different areas of the oven and browns more on one side than the other... For the high end cost of these ovens, I would just as soon have a basic oven that works and does not go out every few months. What a waste of money I consider Dacor to be, and will never recommend it to anyone I know. I am in the personal shopping business and have my own company, but will tell my clients to be very aware of the high cost/low performance of Dacor products... On a scale of 1 to 10, Dacor gets a 1.

Warning: Warning, safety hazzard for all, adults and children. Recommendation: The knobs should be set on the top of the stove, not the front where children can reach. Control knobs should click when fire and gas is turned off, and highest flame setting should be at the end of the turn just like a clock. I inherited this range as new owner of the house. Today I used the high flame option of the gas stove. When I was done with cooking, I turned off the gas according to the knob position, front of the turn. Later I discovered the range was not exactly off. It was still hot but no flame could be seen.I checked by sight the control knob position, it was set incorrectly in off. Then I touched it and realized the knob actually has a bit more to go to the end, slightly before the off position. Therefore it continues to release gas with unobservable flame. This knob does not click when user turns it to the off position. It is just a silent knob with an inaccurate cue of a heavier black line for off and on indication. Besides, high flame setting comes at the beginning of the turn of the knob rather than the end, it is counter intuitive to our mind of increase heat by turning the knob further on, like our clock. Oven racks are hard to put back after cleaning. Once a rack almost tumble out while food was sitting on it.

We have an 11 year old Dacor double oven with convection on top. The relay board malfunctioned and there are no parts to repair this. All Dacor would tell us is that they dont carry the parts anymore. Evidently, they are not required by law beyond about 8 years and that appears to be all they do. Our appliance repair person even contacted a company that rebuilds electronics and they cant get parts for this board. It is unbelievable considering what we paid for the oven. So we now have to replace it. Dacor offered us a discount on a new one. Not good enough. I cant imagine putting another Dacor product in. DONT recommend model #MOH130. We were so impressed with the options that this oven came with. Sadly, with all the bells and whistles also came a ton of repairs. After the 4th repair, our service rep said the relay board needed to be switched out. (Half of the service men who came to my house seemed to be grasping at straws trying to come up with an explanation why the temperature was fluctuating, or why it took so long to heat up, etc.) Then I get to wait 2 weeks for a part to be ordered/arrived and re-schedule service. Last week got code U22 - oven wont even turn on. This oven is only 6 years old. NO THANKS - NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything from this company.

We purchased this unit 7 years ago, just a family of two with visiting grandchildren. Unit came, had a crooked door and a bent latch, which we had serviced and supposedly corrected. When self cleaning the latch still made grinding noises. Over a year ago the oven stopped working period. A December service call said needs a new latch, sensor and display -we are now in 4 figures($). Oven operates for month and a half. January 2019 Service call now new door latch, relay board and main wire harness 4 figures again double! Oven stops working yesterday (June). Service call today new latch, motherboard and something else and another 4 figure repair cost. Same repair parts same problem! Patience is a virtue, but repair costs are sinful! Next step, Boat Anchor! Problem from the beginning and still a problem now.

We purchased our fridge for $9,249 in September of 2016. By the beginning February of 2019 the fridge stopped working completely, I called Dacor who sent out a technician to determine the problem. The technician said the compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. A week later we found out that Dacor no longer makes the particular compressor I need. I have now been living without a fridge for 3 weeks and Dacor doesn’t seem to care at all. We have 3 children and are currently living out of a cooler with ice. I call them and email them every day begging them for a resolution. They are a avoiding me. I believe they owe me a new fridge and they don’t want to do it. We saved long and hard for our expensive appliances and it’s absolutely heartbreaking to have this useless fridge stop working after 2 years, and Dacor seems to not care.

I wish I had read all these reviews of Dacor products before being duped into paying for a high end wall oven. As many others have mentioned, the electronic panel design is faulty. I paid $1000 to have it replaced once. Now it is broken again and the alarm beeps constantly. The reply from their service rep was that they havent had any recalls of this product (in other words, no ones house has burned down yet). He also admits that he wouldnt buy a Dacor oven unless he had money to burn. Well, my money has already burned and so have I.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2001 and bought a Dacor Epicure 30 dual fuel range. The gas cooktop has never been a problem, unlike the oven which has been a problem from the first week with unpredictable temperature variations. Multiple holiday meals have seen the extended family waiting for dinner for two hours because the oven decided to be cool that day. The advice from Dacor: preheat your oven for several hours before you need it or my favorite from a repairman: you must be slamming your oven door. Not helpful. Several expensive repairs later (over $2100) and one fire in the oven now it wont turn on at all. We are going to try one last time to repair it and then we are done. I do not recommend Dacor to anyone - too expensive to have such terrible quality and service.

We purchased a Dacor Oven model # ECS 136544 in 2009. Within two years, the relay board and thermostat in addition to an LED bulb required replacement. A year later, the broiler heating element and the second LED light required replacement. Dacors response (800-793-0093) was read your explicit warranty and the implied warranty under Section 2-314 of the Uniform Commercial Code isnt applicable. The total expense for repairs is over $1,000. Did we get a lemon, or are Dacor ovens prone to failure? Should we have been thinking Wolf?

Our Dacor wall oven (model MOH 1305) is the subject of my concern. Purchased with confidence in Dacor’s advertising in 2008. The oven has had multiple visits by a Dacor authorized repair company who along with a Dacor technician determined that the oven needed a relay board replacement. This relay board has been replaced twice and has failed after installation both times. The relay board provided by Dacor appears to be the problem. Each repair/service call costs approximately $300.00 with no guarantee that the next relay board will work. Our conversations with Dacor give us no satisfaction. Dacor now tells us that our “superior product” of 11 years is just too old. Additionally, they tell us that Dacor products are “superior products” that are designed to last somewhere between 10 to 15 years. There is no excuse for Dacor since the replacement relay boards they are sending us seem to be defective. Their excuse that we have an “old” oven is wrong since the problem is with their defective replacement parts. Beware consumers when thinking about purchasing Dacor products.

Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range and Microwave - Where to begin? Perhaps at the end is best. Dacor appliances are shoddy, unreliable, outrageously expensive to repair and there is no customer support. That about covers it. We bought the above noted pair during our kitchen renovations 8 years ago. We thought that Dacor was a premium brand that would give us long trouble free service. How wrong we were! The only thing Premium about them is the price. 4 years ago, the microwave door refused to latch. Thanks to YouTube, I found out how to remove the door backing and found that the plastic part that comprised the latch was broken. Dacor was contacted - they no longer had the part. Try the open market I was told. I managed to jury rig a repair by using a wooden shim. 3 years ago, the range packed it in. Another repair - this time I was told it was the circuit board that had failed and which was replaced to the tune of $700 and I was cautioned that the second circuit board was not working very well - the interior light would not illuminate and the blue lights indicating a lit burner didnt work, and I should change it too. The smaller circuit board was costed out at $400. Last week, the door latch motor failed and the range began to beep incessantly. Now the oven cannot be used and repair costs quoted over the phone were in the 1000$ range. Thats it for us. Dacor is junk and belongs where its headed - the junkyard. Dont buy Dacor. Live and learn I guess.

I have a Dacor refrigerator that cools poorly and needs servicing. Refrigerator manufacture date March 2017. When I acquired the refrigerator I signed up for the Dacor standard warranty (1 year) and the Promotional additional 2-year Dacor standard warranty advertised as 3-For-Free warranty. I contacted Dacor customer support by phone today. After an hour on hold, they said that they would have to check with their supervisor. 2 hours later I received a call back saying that its only a 2-year warranty. Their website where I registered my product (warranty.dacor.com/member) clearly indicates that my refrigerator is still under warranty. When I confronted them with this, their answer was anyone can register anything on the website and it proves nothing. In other words, registering your product offers you absolutely no protection.I provided their supervisor all documentation requested, (including proof of title of ownership of my house!), and they still repeatedly stated its only a 2 year warranty. When asked where they are getting this information, they simply said thats what we have in our system. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but they said none were available. I left a message with the supervisor, but none ever returned my call.Dacor continues to offer their 3-For Free warranty to this very day. As a busy physician, I keep good records and pay attention to detail. Dacor has been to my home previously without incident. I am extremely disappointed in what appears to be the companys blatant attempt to deny warranty coverage despite ample documentation that its still covered. I would caution folks that their 3 year for Free warranty is simply not true based on my personal experience today. I will no longer be purchasing any Dacor products because of this, and will relay my story to anyone interested in purchasing Dacor products.

We have 3 Dacor appliances that we purchased new when we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. Our cooktop’s igniter continually clicks even when it is not in the light position. This only happens on the front 2 burners (the back 3 are fine). We have cleaned the unit and cleaned the igniters over and over. We have had 2 authorized Dacor service companies and another company look at our unit. Two said no fix exists; the other replaced a part after talking to Dacor and that did not fix it. When I called Dacor, they noted to get another service company and call them when they are here. I am concerned that this again will not work and I will have to pay another service fee. When they were here I asked them to replace a light in our double oven, but they noted they would have to remove the oven from the wall to do that and it would be costly, to which I said no thanks. Is it true that the oven has to be removed to replace a light? Another issue is that our double wall oven’s upper unit only gets warm to about 200 degrees. Another issue is that the microwave door open button does not move the door, we have to push it and pull the door open by hand. I have turned to Dacor service and to our local service techs and we are at our wits’ end. Any help here?

We just purchased our home in March of this year. The previous homeowner purchased a Dacor oven; it is electric & propane. She purchased the appliance after a complete home renovation in 2008. They lived in the home. After 1 year, they moved out and had it on the market. We purchased the home in 2012. As soon as we moved in, we noticed the oven was not working. We called an appliance repairman - $564.00 service call and part for a new relay switch. It was great; the oven worked. Not even a day later, an F1 error. We called them back out thinking they must have done something incorrectly. They then said we needed a new control panel. We did not have an additional $400.00. We just moved, so he said you could still use the oven. We did. We would use it and flip the breaker off so we did not have to hear the annoying beeping sound. Then I came home and bam - no display, no oven. We called a different Dacor certified appliance guy thinking the first company was just taking us for a ride and it was their fault. $572.00 later, we got a new control panel, but guess what, the technician did not even make it to his truck before beep, beep, F1. He came back in and then said we needed to replace the display screen - an additional $217.00 with no labor charge. We told the man to shove it. I had every plan of taking the oven to our back tank and using it for target practice. But in good business practice, since this company already invested $572.00, we could not ask them to eat the money, so we allowed a third fix of the oven. While the technician was here, the oven made a horrible loud sound and shot out flames. He insisted maybe it was due to it sitting for a week without use. He left. I never noticed this flame before when the oven worked despite the F1 beeping. Now it’s hit and miss. Some days it will shoot out a flame once until it reaches 200+ degrees and then you can hear the fan kick in. Some days, twice, I have had it happen 3 times. If my children were to open the door during this event, I am sure they would be seriously burned. At first I was thinking maybe it is normal for this oven to shoot out flames during preheat mode since after $1300.00 repairs maybe it is just not functioning correctly. But if it were a normal function of the product, to me it would do it every time consistently and not three times, or two times on some occasions. I hate to admit this but I am almost fearful of using my oven. I currently have a pie to put in for dinner and I’m thinking its 3:09 pm; I could set the oven to preheat while I run to get my kids from school so if it decides to blow up, I am not home and that is pretty sad. The last repairman we had come out said in his personal opinion, he wouldn’t have repaired the oven, because they are known for issues, and he would have gone to Lowes and spent $300.00 on any off brand stove first. We have considered that, but this stove is extra-wide and the cabinetry is built around it. So for us to purchase an oven to slide right back in it would be another $1300.00-$2000.00. We have issues with the burners not always wanting to light. I almost caught on fire lighting one because it shot out flames when it decided to finally ignite. Sometimes it just clicks. Currently, I am down to two burners when just two days ago all six were working just fine. Over Thanksgiving, it took no kidding 1-hour to cook brown and serve rolls because the oven did not reach the set temperature. We stuck my husband’s bbq thermometer to see. It was 256 degrees, not the desired 350 degrees. Does this stove have warranty? We have no clue as the previous homeowner purchased the stove. She claims to have spent $5,000.00 on this stove or more during their purchase. We do not have warranty on our home so for each repair, it is out of pocket for us, and currently we really are thinking any knock off brand at Lowes would be a better product than a Dacor oven and less of a safety hazard for our family.

Dacor ERD30s06BK/LP - thought reputation was good. Quality seemed outstanding. Like: Appearance; Dislike: Performance, Reliability, Serviceability, Quality of parts, Availability of parts. In a word: Dont buy a Dacor! Ive learned that if you have a repair person/organization you can depend on ask them to suggest the best appliance based on their repair experience and their ability to obtain parts. Dacor has already replaced range once. Oven interior cracked when self-clean was used. Stovetop burner ignitors frequently continue to spark after flame is established. Stovetop burners will sometimes extinguish when flame is low. This experience showed me that just because an appliance is expensive, it doesnt mean good performance or high quality. Because of the cost of replacement we have lived with the Dacor until the next major repair is not possible because of lack of available of parts or cost.

Before the kitchen was even finished the control panel had to be replaced. Since 2005 our local repair shop has had to replace the circuit board 9 times. Same issue every time with not heating and board found every time to be burned out! Dacor replaced the first few boards free but we had to cover the labor. To date more than 5,000 in repairs. Dacor would not replace the oven and had terrible customer service. Its down for the 12th time and its headed to the junkyard this time. I cant see spending another dime on this lemon. Most of my life, Ive always bought pretty low end appliances, and theyve always worked pretty well. When we remodelled our kitchen, we decided to go with a high end Dacor stove, and its been nothing but trouble. After just a few weeks, the igniters started to fire constantly on some burners. It was still under warranty, but it was very hard to find someone to honor the warranty. We got that fixed, then the oven light started to come on and off randomly. After our experience with the first problem, we just disconnected the light and let it go. A few months later, the bottom shelf jammed, and there was no way to collapse it to fit in the oven. This product is total junk. Dont buy it!

Five years ago we built a new house with a big open kitchen for entertaining and family. I like to cook. After talking to a kitchen designer and high end appliance dealer in San Antonio, TX, we decided to go 100% Dacor for the kitchen. What a nightmare! The oven was replaced within the first three months. Since then we have had two relay boards replaced (one within warranty, one not) and one thermostat replaced. When the oven is working, I like it very much. But it is a lot of trouble to get it fixed. The refrigerator defrosting until has gone out three times as well (once in warranty, twice not). Today the unit is not cooling at all. It is hard enough to find someone to service these units outside the big cities, so when we do find someone it takes days for them to get here to diagnose; days to receive parts; and days more to fix. I will never buy another Dacor product! I will say this, the Dacor headquarters have tried to help and even gave discounts on parts, but 5-year appliances should never have these many issues. Our last kitchen was 100% KitchenAid and we never had one problem with anything for 6 years!

I bought a 30 Dacor Double Oven (EO230SCH), 36 cooktop, warming drawer and matching convection microwave. Well over $10k. The microwave has been replaced as it died early within the first year while cooking popcorn - nearly started a fire in the kitchen... However the cooktop igniter died at 4 years and now the wall oven is on its third control board in years 3, 4 and 5. Nothing is under warranty and they want nothing to do with me now. The replacement oven controls cost ~$400 each plus installation. So after all this expense, I have invested $1,200 more in replacement parts and the cooktop needs an aim & flame to light. Total crap. When my husband and I built our home 11 years ago, I splurged and got a Dacor ERD36 36 dual fuel range. During the process of our build, our builder dropped my range during the installation. Dacor was very quick to send out a servicer to make sure the performance of the range was not compromised. The only thing that needed to be replaced was a bent bullnose in the front and the kickplate. I have had one service call in 11 years, which was last year after a brownout in my neighborhood caused my clock and oven setting to go crazy. It had nothing to do with function and had nothing to do with shoddy manufacturing. I just got it fixed and continue to use my range every day. We bought 3 very expensive Dacor appliances when we built our home 12 years ago. They have been a total disappointment. The microwave was replaced after just a couple of years when it just stopped working properly - including needing to stop it by opening the door! The wall ovens have needed many minor repairs which have amounted to several hundred dollars after labor charges. I see on this post others have had to repair the hinges! Ours have been replaced twice! The broiler came loose and was hanging on one side. The internal light also goes on and off by itself - sometimes in quick succession. At times, it stays on and cannot be turned off by the light button but by banging the front of the oven! Ridiculous! The cooktop cooks very unevenly. It goes from simmer to boiling over. The ceramic material did not hold up very well either. It is supposed to clean easy. But there are spills that have left permanent stains and we will be replacing that as well. We have also had Customer Service tell us items have been discontinued so we have no choice but to replace these appliances since replacement parts cannot be purchased any longer. This is a warning to anyone considering Dacor - DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There are far better appliances out there!

Dacor Fuel Range broken door - My Dacor is by now 13 years old. I see from other reviews that the problems I have with my range have not been addressed in newer models--the same problems exist. When I received my Dacor, there was a crack in the front, above the door. It was small, and Id just had a baby so I let it go. I noticed that the door did not close either, and because I did not address it within a year, Im out of luck. But youd think that making an oven with a door that closes snug would be a top priority. It only closes properly when in cleaning mode. My oven window became brown and I cannot clean it. Its a shame that these things are messed up because the convection seems to work wonderful and the oven is fairly attractive. If the door closed all the way. Im getting ready to consider a new oven. Updated on 06/14/2021: We placed a review about a month ago about a defective range. The company contacted us, took some information, but we have not heard from them since. It seems they just wanted an appearance of willingness to help but do not intend to help. After spending almost $4000 on a stove you would think it would last more than a few years before the motherboard malfunctioned. Dacor has provided no help. Very poor customer service and an extreme disappointment.Original Review: We bought our Dacor range for 3800$ in 2017. The self clean function did not work due to a defective locking mechanism. We had that repaired. Starting in 2019, the bake cycle was not heating up to set temperature. We followed recalibrate instructions. Then, the temperature went over the desired setting. I’ve tried adjusting baking times to deal with the problem. Convection bake started having temperatures above the set temperature.Several months ago we called for repair. The service technician tested the sensor and said it was fine. He stated that it was the motherboard which would cost $1200 to replace with parts and labor. That’s a lot of money to put into a high end stove that cost $3800 to begin with and is only 3 years old! We’ve had Frigidaire stoves that lasted 15+ years. This continues to be a problem. Unfortunately, we may have to replace this stove with Viking or Wolf. This is totally unacceptable considering the initial cost of the stove and the fact that Dacor markets their products to be long lasting and reliable. Never will I buy Dacor products again.

Dacor Double Oven Model D0230 - I have had my oven since November 2011. I purchased an extended warranty at the time of buying the oven. Right after it was installed, I called and said they needed to come and adjust the temperature control. It was off at least 50 degrees. It never held the correct temperature. Since July, we have had to replace 2 relay boards, two other parts that should take care of erratic temperature. Then I noticed the gasket was turning black in the corner and my glass pack in the window was steaming up and not clearing. The extended warranty would not cover the glass replacement and I was charged $126. They said it was cosmetic, but this was so bad that I couldnt see through half the glass. The steam stained the glass and you could not clean it, because it was inside two pieces of glass. Do not buy a Dacor oven. In 38 months I have so many repairs that I have lost track.

If I had known that there was no service nor any parts for the fix I would have just dismantled the interior light. But why did they recommend the part I did purchase to begin with? Are they just trying to increase revenues by advising customers to buy parts that wont work? DO NOT BUY DACOR PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ON THE HOOK FOR REPAIRS AFTER ONLY 5 YEARS! The electronics on the first two induction burners failed within six months which was covered under warranty. The second two went three weeks after the warranty and we had to argue with Dacor to cover them otherwise it is a $1400 repair job. From day one whenever you open the oven door the controls and heat shut off. Sometimes it turns back on when you close the door. As for the downdraft, it worked fine until 10 weeks ago when while closing, the cover lip hit a wooden spoon that had been lying flat near the edge. There is no safety feature and the motor continued to try and close the fan. The unit would not respond and would not re-open. The spoon had to be broken to get it out. If this was a childs finger you would have had to call 911. We now have a repair bill of over $350 and are still waiting for 2 months for Dacor to send a part. We will never buy this brand again.

I have a Dacor dual fuel range (stove wont light, oven wont hold temp), hood (light wont stay on consistently), microwave (replace once, okay now), wall oven (panel out) and warming drawer. Only the warming drawer is working correctly. I live in rural Kansas and I cant get anyone to do repairs. I really like the design but... its time to move on to a new brand!

Do not buy a Dacor appliance unless youre okay with replacing parts for the oven in less than 2 years. The control electronic part was replace then less than a year later the user interface had to be replaced. Less than a year after the user interface was replaced, the oven completely stopped working. After calling the same repair guy to come fix it, they informed me that the company no longer sells the control interface. When I called the company, the only options they gave me were to send the part to a third party refurbish company and have them fix it. That means I would have to call the service repair company for the FOURTH time to have them remove the part, I would need to send it away to get fixed and call them back to put it back in. Dacor didnt even offer to pay for any of this. The customer service rep offered to give me a discount on a new unit. Are you kidding me?!? Please do yourself a favor and dont buy anything from this company. They dont back up their products and its clear they dont care about their reputation. Its a waste of money to be spend on high end appliances that are poorly made. Spend less from a different company thats been around for a long time. At least if a part goes, youll have reassurance they will have that part handy. A terrible company. I hope they go belly up soon so they can stop selling overly priced kitchen appliances to people.

Unfortunately, the screw broke in two that held our Dacor refrigerator door on and much to our dismay, the door fell off. Dacor was prompt and courteous in sending a replacement lower refrigerator door hinge to the service company and covered the full cost of labor even though they initially said the refrigerator was out of warranty (two years old). Our experience was positive with James who gave timely and a customer-focused response. He also called to follow-up after the repair to make sure we were happy which I appreciated. I hated that the door broke but was very pleased with the repair and the fact that I did not have to pay.

Motherboard on my favor wall oven has been replaced twice. Repairman said not use the self-cleaning feature as that will cause too high of heat and melt the components. Seriously, Dacor? We spend this kind of money and have these type of repair issues constantly. Just glad I finally was told what might help resolve this - I’m ready for a new oven because of all these problems.

The ovens needs a new latch kit and a mew control panel every year. It has been repaired 15 times. So many issues but those are the most consistent problem areas. Dacor should have replaced our range the first year. Even the repairman says everyone has had the same issues. For what I have paid in repairs I could have bought a new range.

We have a new (one year old) home with Dacor appliances. The microwave oven went on the blink the first month but was repaired by a factory approved repairman. Something to do with the computer. Now the double oven will not hold a temperature. We set the oven at 420 and it only goes to 360 even though the readout shows 420. We just decided to skip the repair process and bought a new Wolf oven. This is our second Dacor within the past two years and both have had the same problem. Dont waste your money.

We remodeled our kitchen less than 5 years ago. As we have owned restaurants in the past, we wanted commercial quality appliances. I was looking at Sub-Zero and Viking or Wolf. Unfortunately I took my Home Center convince me to purchase A Dacor package. That was a mistake. Even though these appliances cost as much as the those brands, the quality is not even close. After spending $22,000 on appliances I have quickly discovered that these appliances are junk. First the microwave began to arc and nearly caught fire. Even when they installed my cooktop. I noticed that the burners in the middle were marked incorrectly and the blue LED indicating the burners are on was burnt out. After only a few years, now my ovens are not working. And right before Thanksgiving I am without ovens. My old ovens were almost 50 years old and worked fine. These $6000 plus ovens are not even 5 years old and are down. I am kicking myself for not going with my original plan. If you are considering Dacor, I would not recommend.

About a month ago then again 2 weeks ago, I would hear a beep (not while I was cooking) from the stove. I went over and all elements had turned themselves on at HIGH. The only way I could turn them off is to repeatedly push and hold the child safety button. Very scary! If I had left a pot or pan on the range top, who knows what would have happened. It did it occasionally with 1 burner twice more. Yesterday, the range top started cycling every 90 seconds, on then off, then on, then off. I shut it off at the circuit breaker twice thinking this is a way to reset electronics sometimes. Once for 2 minutes then again overnight.I tried cooking on it this morning: on and off and on and off again. It is shut off at the circuit breaker awaiting repairs. I am a renter so am spared the repair bill but not being able to cook (of course it happened on Easter weekend!!) is a major pain. It is 10 years old this week the landlord told me, but I used to cook on a stove that was 60 years old and it worked like a champ.

I would never buy another Dacor product. The microwave totally crashed and now the oven will not heat. I have had contact in the past regarding repairs and they are outrageous. I plan to replace both items rather than paying unreasonable costs. Very unhappy.

Purchased a Dacor DT0227B wall oven. The first oven arrived damaged; the control panel was completely off the unit. We ordered a replacement oven which arrived today. Upon turning on the power, error codes C76 and C77 appeared on the control panel display. The installers phoned your service people who instructed them to remove the front panel and look for a loose wire. When they removed the front panel, the entire control board was just hanging free, not secured in place with any screws (it appeared that this was an assembly error). They found a wire hanging, secured it in place, reattached the control panel and applied power. At this time the error codes were no longer displayed and they were able to set the time. When they attempted to start up an oven cycle to test the unit, the Start/Continue button on the membrane keypad was not responding. Another call to your service team determined that the control panel would need to be replaced. 2 ovens within 2 weeks arrived DEAD! The quality is beyond unacceptable. I sent an e-mail to the CEO of the company before I posted this. I received a response from a QA guy. Any manufacturing company that thinks Quality is the responsibility of QA is working with a 1950s mindset!! Dacor is pitiful and will certainly not last as a company with this kind of quality and customer service!!

I built my home in 2003 and installed a Dacor 30 wall oven. After several years of poor performance, we started to get an error message. Dacor suggested replacing a board for $300. That didnt work so they had me replace another $300 board. That didnt work so they told me I needed a new front panel and it would run about $1,000. That board is on back order and they dont have a replacement date. Thinking that its bad business to sink $1600 into a troubled product that has terrible reviews on the internet. We found out that once you go with Dacor, you need to stay with Dacor due to an unusual, nonstandard size.Thinking that Dacor has improved their product we ordered a brand new $3,000 Dacor RO130 30 wall oven. It arrived promptly and I removed the defective $3,000 oven and put in the brand new $3,000 Dacor RO130 oven. What I got was a dead brick. The Dacor customer service has been awful, and will not allow me to talk to anyone in their technical side. The oven is getting power. Dacor customer service wouldnt help me unless I could prove that the unit was getting power. So I had to get an electrician in to prove that I had properly wired the 4 cords that came off the original defective Dacor wall oven. Get service help? No chance. I live 100 miles from Seattle and no one wants to work on Dacor. So here I sit with a $3,000 brick. No service and Dacor has no clue on how they will service this wonderful $3,000 RO130 30 wall oven that is an out of box failure. I dont see how a company that has this bad of a product, two generations of defective ovens, bad customer service, reluctance from the repair community to work on their products will be in business much longer. If you are considering Dacor appliances, consider the problems that I am having. The nonstandard size of their ovens will lock you into future purchases to replace their products that dont last 10 years.

I submitted a review regarding a repair on this same refrigerator Dacor EF42BDCBSS back on 10/29/12 and 10/31/12. We now have another repair bill in the amount of $486.42 for a drain pan kit and defrost thermostat. I tried to contact Dacor by phone and email to talk about the situation, but have not received a response. I would highly recommend that you think twice about buying a Dacor brand refrigerator.

Thank you for your attention. Since my post, a resolution has been reached and Dacor will be replacing my range with a new one. That is much more representative of the pride and reputation of Dacor. The executives were very responsive. Perhaps front line agents are not empowered to make these decisions, however, in my case, the escalation brought the matter into the right hands. Happy with the direction towards the final outcome, not the 4-month process that discounted the reputation and my perception.

The refrigerator was installed in April 2017, a $20,000 purchase. It had problems from the beginning and theyve only gotten worse. The unit was replaced (not the exterior, of course) during the first year. And now, less than a year later, it is not working once again. Weve been waiting over a week for a service call and have lost thousands in groceries - have had to eat almost every meal elsewhere - and have not received a single response from their service department. I will NEVER purchase another Dacor product again. I am preparing for legal action.

Got a great online deal on Dacor LP gas range. Was new but had dinged side
Got a great online deal on Dacor LP gas range. Was new but had dinged side panel according to store. Couldnt see the ding in photos and it would be hidden against cabinets anyway. Range is finally delivered and is new as advertised. Works great for a few days but then the oven wont hold temperature and then wont light. This is when the nightmare begins. Samsung now owns Dacor and getting to the right people to make a warranty claim is insanely difficult. After making the repair claim we get notified that there is no warranty coverage for service as this was not a new unit. Pardon me but we have the sales receipt showing that it is with full factory warranty. They finally agree to accommodate us and then repeatedly cancel repair tickets. After many calls to fix this, they now tell us that no service center will come to repair the range! They offered a refund minus some sort of discount based on a stove being used for a period of time. Oven stopped working a week into having it and they want to DISCOUNT a refund! Made BBB complaint and their response was they would have someone reach out to the customer. Today they did that and we are still at no resolution. Told them they have 3 options, fix the range, replace the range or refund us completely and I will make arrangements to fix the oven. They say there are no ranges in inventory to replace this one with with. No one inside the US will call or reach out to fix this fiasco and we are left with someone that is not allowed to make decisions that speaks english as a second language. Sad thing is that its a basic range that at first seemed to be a great design and would be great to have in our kitchen. Its now endless headaches because Dacor refuses to step up and remedy a defective oven part with a service call from someone that would require likely higher pay than their network providers.

Dacor dual fuel 30 inch range - First of all the look of the dacor is second to none in my opinion. The digital screen with blue lighting makes this a truly elegant part of any kitchen..... when it works. The range top itself worked flawlessly for me and the main burner was always more than enough. The problem with the range lies in the electronics. The unit has been in my home for over a year and has worked for less than a month total. An error code appeared when ever the oven gets hot. C33, C1, 0000, 1111, C11. Ive seen it all. I have had the main board replaced twice and my local repairman is on first name basis with even my dogs at this point. The final straw for me was when the oven door glass shattered while cooking and when dacor was contacted they said that happens. Im think Ill try Viking.....

We have a 2 year old 36 inch, Model EF361WF refrigerator. Water began pooling at the base every 2-3 days. Called Dacor Customer Service Team. Pitiful response and horrible customer service. Had to call private technician who was very surprised that a so-called higher end appliance was not factory-fitted with a P trap. He sees the problem often with cheaper models. Dacor has let us down twice. Buyer beware: sub-standard products matched with sub-standard customer service. Dacor will never get our business again and we would recommend all potential purchasers to consider other brands.

After remodeling our kitchen, we purchased a professional line Dacor stand
After remodeling our kitchen, we purchased a professional line Dacor stand alone gas range/oven. Within a year, the heating element needed to be replaced. Subsequently, the control panel almost caught fire and needed replacement, following a second heating element. The oven is not reliable and has cost us over $600 in repairs, labor and parts. The Dacor company is not willing to recognize that this oven is a lemon, even though their rep admitted that the number of repairs seem to exceed the average number. The company refuses to pay for a tech to come in to examine why this range continue to have electrical problems. It is not working again, and the customer service rep wants us to pay out more money to have their tech diagnose the problem and pay the cost of repairs and labor, while they will cover the cost of the parts. I am done paying out more money on a defective appliance. I could have purchased two new less expensive (and more reliable) ovens by now.
