I bought a Bosch DW, had it installed and then discovered that it didnt have a rinse-only cycle! So, I went back to the store, upgraded to an Electrolux and had the two switched out (with extra unintended expense, by the way, as the Electrolux was just a bit taller and required that I have floor tile removed - and reinstalled - in order for it to fit). That was 4 years ago. I purchased the extended warranty, just in case. But before the original warranty expired, Id had problems with glassware being cloudy, and with a garbage odor inside the dishwasher any time used the rinse-only cycle. (I always scrape dishes before I put them in for rinsing.) Repairman could never find the reason for the odor; plumber verified that the installation was correct and no crimp in the drain line. Odor continued. After another complaint, this time because some items on the top shelf remained dirty, repairman noted that the upper spray arm was catching on the wand that supported it. Fixed it, but have had intermittent similar problems. Had not called for repair, mainly due to the inconvenience of scheduling and needing to be home for the visit, but also because of some health issues that for a while diverted my attention. Now, after a few months of finding one or two items on the top shelf looking as if hot water never reached them, I called once more. Surprise! My extended warranty expired last year!!! (Upon checking, I find that the e.w. on my Electrolux oven has expired, as well.) I was never notified of the need to renew either warranty! The customer service rep with whom I spoke about this earlier this week admitted that there had been a problem with their notification system, but suggested that I had the responsibility of keeping up with that sort of thing!! I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux product, which, by the way is nothing more than a dressed-up Frigidaire. I have Frigidaire front-loading washer and dryer, which I hate (washer door will not close properly and dryer never has dried sheets or towels on the first cycle!) and about which repairmen just make excuses. Stupid me, I didnt know that both brands were essentially the same. Bottom line, count me totally dissatisfied with both labels!!

We purchased a Frigidaire side by side less than 2 years ago. Yes, I understand it is out of warranty, but when it caught on fire this weekend at 10 at night, I called a repairman to come look at it. Our model is FFHS2611LB4. We were informed that the water line was not sealed correctly at the factory. Also, the access hole is directly over the relay overload. I spent over $200 for the repair which is not much considering what could have happened if we were not home. Just got off the phone with customer service and of course they will not do anything. Was offering to give us 1/2 off on parts. That doesnt really help when it has already been fixed. I will not buy this brand again. Faulty merchandise and poor customer relations.

Top of the line Front load washer leaks. Door hinge defective and never fit properly. Had Sears fix several times but it is a horrible design. Made in Mexico where they stripped the screws when they put it together. Notified Electrolux customer service but they said my mistake was calling Sears. Since it is now over one year old, Electrolux will no longer help me. Stay away from this brand. They only say they care about customers. Their actions do not match their words. Buy a better brand.

We purchased the ICON Electrolux kitchen suite for our new home. From the outside, the appliances are beautiful and appear to be built with quality. However, this was not the case at all. Of the five appliances in our kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, wall oven, 6-burner stove and microwave), four of them have issues. They are less than two years old and have too many problems for this to be a top tier appliance. Refrigerator has dents on front panels from the stainless steel overlay attachment seen when you stand at a distance. The freezer drawer does not shut level. Reported this when we first moved in. Company came out and said there was nothing they could do to fix this. They blamed it on the leveling of the kitchen floor. Not so because quality of home build we have no complaints. The wire drawer in freezer pulls out crooked and often comes off track. The ice maker takes too long to make ice and makes a very loud noise when ice is dispensed from the door. The dishwasher panel lights flicker on and off. We have to hit the panel to make them stop flickering. The time clock that reflects on the floor in the kitchen stopped working about 5-6 months after we moved in and I called them to fix it and they said it was not covered because that was cosmetic. Also, the inside rubber seal has come off several times. We have to push it back into the grooves. The gas stove does not light with the starters. I have to turn on two burners. So the fire from the other burner lights the gas from the burner that will not light. The oven cooks noticeably uneven. We have to rotate our pans in the oven for the food to cook even. I may be forgetting a couple of things. But these are too many issues to have with top of the line appliances. I called customer service several times to have issues addressed. Unfortunately, we only had a one year manufacturer warranty and when you are moving into a new house with a very busy life this time flies by and then you are stuck with covering issues with an expensive extended warranty that may not even cover all the issues. Very frustrating!! I have purchased a used basic Kenmore washer and dryer for $300 and it lasted 15 years without one issue. Electrolux is a waste of money.

Purchased Electrolux Washer and Dryer 2 years ago against my better judgement. Now the Dryer has had an error code first time E61 and 1 day after repair it had E64 and again E61. A&E Factory Service (Warranty) are worthless. Been 6 weeks already and over $50 in Laundromat costs to dry clothes. I will NEVER Recommend an Electrolux appliance to anyone. My old Maytag lasted more than 10 years before any issues. This is junk but looks nice, nice junk alright!

We purchased this expensive refrigerator in January of 2014. The in freezer ice maker does not stop working even when the ice bin is full. When opening the freezer drawer the ice cubes get knocked off into the back of the freezer and when the drawer is closed the drawer gets knocked off. The drawer slides and the drawer will not close properly and is difficult to correct. The plastic fascia on the freezer door cracked and Electrolux will not offer any compensation to repair this manufacturing defect because it happened two months after the year warranty.

In January 2016 I purchased an Electrolux electric range, model E130EF4CQSB, serial number AF55000584. In February 2017 while I was cooking dinner one evening, the glass cooktop suddenly shattered. I called Electrolux customer service and was told to email pictures of the damage, which I did. About five minutes later Electrolux called me back to say that their technician had determined that I caused the damage by dropping a heavy object onto the cooktop. I protested that I had done nothing of the kind, but was told the technicians judgment was final and my (five-year) warranty on the cooktop would not be honored. Subsequently I had to pay $570.40 to have the cooktop replaced. I do not believe that Electrolux has a technician standing by at all times to assess broken cooktops. I think the company simply defrauds customers by declaring falsely that customer abuse has occurred.

In January, 2017 we purchased the top of the line Electrolux Washer and Gas Dryer. Shortly after the washing machine was installed, water started to leak from under the unit. It flooded our laundry room. A week later a tech showed up and diagnosed that a pump was installed incorrectly at the factory. Two weeks later it was replaced. Guess what? It continued to leak. This time I asked for a different tech to come out to ensure he knew what he was doing. He determined it was a different pump that was cracked so another part had to be ordered. By this time I was so upset that I demanded a new machine. After much negotiation, Electrolux agreed to replace the washer. Now last week, our dryer stopped working. We started to notice about a month ago that it was taking longer to dry clothes. Finally on Jan. 5th exactly one year from when we took delivery, the machine stopped working. I called Electrolux Jan. 8th and they said the one year warranty is up so I have to pay for a service call. The customer service at this company is terrible and they forget who is paying their salaries. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance and I urge others to avoid them like the plague!

I purchased my Electrolux french door refrigerator from sears in 2015 and have had problems ever since. It does not keep as cold as it should and randomly stops cooling. The thermometer on the door shows a constant 34 but a thermometer placed on the shelf shows approx 48 depending on the location in the fridge. Then randomly every couple months or so the high temp alarm will go off and the fridge gets warm. Technicians have replaced control boards and tested everything but cannot figure it out. Best they can tell the evaporator is freezing up but they dont know why. We have a mini fridge in our kitchen to keep our dairy and other delicate groceries in. Thats just sad, we trust the $100 fridge but cant trust the $2500 one.

Purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator at BrandsMart. A month or so later I received warranty offer to extend the warranty. I paid for it in December 2016 and forgot about it. Then at the end of January I received another invoice from same people for same appliance. I paid it not remembering that I had already paid it in December. I called the customer service line to ask why another invoice had been sent, and the customer service rep said... oh that happens all the time and you will probably get another invoice in the mail. This sounded like a very common occurrence, so I said well I paid it and should not have done so. I called my bank to stop payment on the check I wrote for a duplicate payment. Then in February I get a letter from Electrolux that I owed them $30 as a fee for the stop payment. When I called them, they insisted that I should not have done that as they processed it as if I wanted to extend the warranty out further to 6 years. What! Same bill for same period, why would I extend a 3 year warranty to 6 years when it is not even indicated as an option on the invoice? When on the invoice it only indicates up to a 3 year warranty! It all sounds like fraud to me. The extra invoices sent out trying to get people to double pay, charging a fee for stopping a duplicate payment. It seems that this is a very dishonest organization, and no one seems to care how they treat their customers.

We purchased a stackable dryer from Electrolux in August of 2016. 2 years and 5 months later the motor stopped working with normal usage. We spent $420 to replace the motor and today, almost exactly 1 year later, the motor stopped working again, same code same issue. I called their customer service and they are offering to sell me the part for 50% off plus labor and diagnostic costs. They will not take any responsibility for a defective, useless, and very expensive LEMON they have sold us. THE WORST PRODUCT EVER! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS.

My son was sleeping when 9:30 AM he awoke to find flames coming from the melted rubber at the top of the freezer door. The flames were igniting baseball cards, etc on top of the refrigerator and reached the ceiling too! He opened the freezer door and flames shot out of the freezer! He closed the freezer door and immediately called the Fire Dept. He then threw water on top of the refrigerator until the fire persons arrived. They came in under 5 minutes time. They told me if no one was home, the whole house would have went up in flames...The ceiling is ripped open to make sure the fire didnt spread to main floor, the walls, cabinets were burnt, cloths and the flooring has water and smoke damage... The whole house wreaks of the smell of smoke. And as the NYFD said we were lucky... BEWARE..... I decided to go online.. This is not the first case of a fire starting in a freezer and it wont be the last!!

I believe we purchased the EFLS617SIW washer and received it in June 2016.
I believe we purchased the EFLS617SIW washer and received it in June 2016. Less than 3 months of use, a chunk of the seal tore off. We called a service technician from the alliance company and they were sending someone out to take a look. Once he arrived almost two weeks later, he was shocked at how big the tear was, said he couldnt believe I hadnt had more problems with it, but said customer service didnt put in an order for a seal so he was putting it in that day and would be back next week to install it.I was using the machine in the meantime because one, tiny drop would randomly run down the front of the washer so I put a towel under the washer just to be safe. Three weeks after that visit, the clean washer cycle was run at 4 am and my husband went to bed. I woke up at 7 am to cold water all over the floor (and our clean laundry which was on the floor) in our hallway. I cleaned up the water. 12 hours later I realized the subfloor under our new LVP flooring was swelling. Noon the next day I realized water was in our finished basement. Everywhere! In a panic, I called a restoration company who came out and realized watery had soaked into our bathroom floor, our bedroom, our kitchen subfloor, plus into the ceiling of the basement in two large sections of the basement, our basement bathroom, carpeting in two rooms in our basement, etc. It was soaking into the door frames of rooms and more.I called Electrolux and the woman I spoke with acted new, wouldnt let me speak with a supervisor stating all they would do is assign a complaint number since it is late Friday, and stated they have no emergency department I could speak with. She advised to contact the Risk Management Dept or someone would be contacting me in 2 to 4 business days. By the way, Risk Management does not have a direct line, Customer Service will have to transfer me. I have no idea how this will turn out but I am panicked they will not care. Meanwhile, our house is unlivable while we have 15 commercial drying machines and dehumidifiers in our house but we have to try to exist there.

Bought a brand new Electrolux model EIFLS60LT washing machine. It had to be repaired three times in the first year. Each time they would come out and work on it they also had to order parts. We went without a washing machine two times for a month and one time for two months. We had to wait for parts that would take forever to get in. I purchased an extended warranty. Guess what broke down again. I asked to get the machine replaced. They said I started a new extended warranty and it will have to break down three times before they will replace it. I had also asked when it was under the manufacture warranty if they would replace the machine. They said it would have to go to a review board to see if that was acceptable. They never called back. Please purchase a Maytag for your own peace of mind.

We purchased Electrolux dishwasher, electric range, and fridge; have had for 4 years. First the ice maker handle broke. I ordered one from Electrolux thinking it was out of warranty. Later I found we had purchased extended warranty. By this time, the digital display on the range was not working so we called for service repair. We purchased from Lowes so their service company was A&E. They came, looked at the stove, and said they ordered a control module which I disagreed with. I said it needed the clock display module, but who was I to argue because I am not an appliance repair person, but I am a General Motors and Subaru master technician. I discussed with the service person that I had already paid for and installed a new ice maker control module not realizing it was still under warranty. So I proposed to him, “You order me a new ice module as I still have the old broken one to turn in under warranty. You can tell your company you replaced it. If you like, just leave the new module with me because if it’s broken this soon it’s bound to break again.” So the parts come and so does a different repair person. He gives me the ice module and then shows me the control board which I tell him is not the right part, but he says he is going to install it anyway. He tells me he has never worked on an Electrolux. To make long story short, he broke my cook top, had to order a new cook top, and he also ordered the clock module that I knew was the problem. They never did get the cook top mounted correctly and now my icemaker is broken again. The water and ice will not shut off, so I get the new ice module and install it...It’s junk right out of the box. I called Electrolux; they could care less...DO NOT BUY THESE APPLIANCES.

We purchased the Electrolux washer and dryer in 2017 and immediately had a problem with it clanging and banging. We had two techs out and they couldnt find an issue. Now the pedestal drawer broke! I owned a Kenmore front loader for 15 years and never had one problem! Today I called about that part and explained that it still clangs. My husband says its a design flaw and even tho we empty the lint screen after every single use, it is escaping and going into the motor. Today they said they cant cover sending someone out again. Its beyond the time limit! Really!? Dont buy any of their products! The company doesnt build reliable products and then try to pawn it off on the consumer and blame us for waiting so long.. I said its not my fault twice they couldnt figure it out. Never ever ever ever will I buy anything electrolux! Terrible products and worse customer service! They dont even deserve one star. I would give them a negative 5 if possible!

We bought a refrigerator in November 2018, needed to change the whole complete cooling system in February 2019, and we are now waiting for a technician in August 2020 because our food is freezing. Very bad customer service, hard to reach someone: tried to called a lot of times and was told by a machine to call back because the lines were too busy. When I reached someone, VERY rude, she didn’t seems to want to help me. The date for a technician was 1 to 2 weeks after the call. Very far when you got 4 kids to feed and food is wasting everyday in the expensive fridge that we bought 2 years ago. Very very disappointed. I do NOT recommend this brand to anyone.

We purchased an Electrolux Slide-in Induction Range 3 years ago. It has been brilliant and we LOVE the induction technology. Induction cooking is best weve ever experienced. However, it suddenly stopped working and required an $800 part to fix. Turned out the part didnt solve the problem and Im on the hook for the part and still have a stovetop that doesnt work. Electrolux originally said theyd try and help with repairs but have since said no, told us to buy an extended warranty and basically said it was our choice to purchase the part or not. I wouldnt buy any product from this company, based solely on their abysmal customer service. When you spend over $3000 on a product, you expect it to last more than 3 years and companies that require you to purchase extended warranties clearly dont have much faith in their products.

I purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer set 2 years ago in silver grey colour. Right from the start the doors on both units would not close properly, nor would the detergent dispenser drawer on the washer. As well, you could not partially close the door when airing the washer after using it, meaning the door stayed wide open. This required placing the machine in an area where no children/people would walk past it and hook on to the door. THEN, the entire control panel went on the washer. We were told that Electrolux no longer made that model - ONE YEAR AFTER PURCHASE, and that instead of repairing it, the warranty company replaced it with the next newer model. This entailed that we also had to replace our DRYER, since the new washers colour was a different colour of grey, and the units no longer matched. UGLY!! The 5-year warranty we purchased at the initial time of washer purchase was now also void, meaning we would have to pay AGAIN if we wanted extended warranty. I tried contacting Electrolux Canada to ask if we could get a rebate or refund for the extra costs we endured because their units were faulty and outdated so soon after purchase. Thats when the real trouble started. The young girl at their customer service was the rudest, uncaring person I have ever encountered in the business. She said if it wasnt a warranty issue, that she would do nothing to assist me. She refused to put me through to her supervisor, and any emails that would be sent would go back to her. There was no logic in her approach and needless to say, the whole experience left me totally frustrated and disappointed. I even tried reaching someone at Electroluxs USA and European Office, but was told that it was not within their area, and that I would have to contact their Canadian office- even after I had explained my problems with the first line person there. No one offered to contact a supervisor on my behalf, or even give me a direct telephone number or email address where I could contact a supervisor myself. Although the machines - one year old, are still working, I will never again buy ANY product from Electrolux, after having the worst customer service experience of my life!

I bought a chest freezer from Electrolux and it broke within 6 days. And then I called right away to get it replaced and they only do repairs. So they told me I had to make an appointment to get a repair but they would get back to me in five days to do so because they didnt have any availability. A week and a half later I called and they said they were still waiting on service (after they put me on a brief hold for two hours). I told the lady I wanted an update the next day and she never called. So I called back the next day – still nothing and still waiting on service. I bought it from Home Depot and that is the second appliance I bought from home depot not only did I have problems with but customer service gave me problems. I am a contractor. I will not buy so much as a drywall screw from home depot. And I will not purchase or install an Electrolux application for myself or anyone else. Absolute garbage and a sorry excuse for a company and ignorant customer service.

We've owned 3 over-range microwaves and this is our first one that is also Convection. We love it! Larger than our previous ones and much quieter! Lights illuminating our Range are fantastic! Much better than previous units. We like that the control buttons are on the bottom, much easier for shorter folks to see but they are a bit hard to press to get them to do what you want it to do. Maybe they'll soften up with use...we'll see. We do wish the Countdown Timer (which we use quite often) would beep until we shut it off when the set moments have completed. It beeps several times and that's it. If we're not around when it beeps and forget to look to see if the countdown is complete, what we have it set for could get overcooked. Minor problem though...we'll just buy a separate timer at Wallyworld or BB&B.

Purchased an extended warranty from Electrolux. Washing machine broke within 5 years of purchase. Repairman recommends replace machine. Customer service by Electrolux is a nightmare. They stonewall, and will not do anything; wont replace, nor will they authorize repair. We have been without a washer for over a week since repair estimate was submitted, by their repairman. Have lost all confidence in their product and their support. The support people are not helpful at all, every time you get on the phone you need to start from the beginning, incorrect information is put into the system. It is just really bad. It is as if they want you to stop buying their products.

In late 2008 we purchased an Electrolux refrigerator, glass cooktop, double oven, microwave & dishwasher. We bought all the appliances in late October 2008 but did not receive them until late November. We had been promised them within a week & were concerned we would not get everything in time for Thanksgiving as we were having family stay with us for the holiday. In any case, the refrigerator was delivered & set up while we were still living at our old house. It arrived with a dent in it. A very noticeable dent. We were told it might be several weeks to get the replacement. Everything was top of the line so not in stock in the store. Under the circumstances, we elected to keep it. However, when they installed the water line for the ice maker, they did not remove the plug so the water poured out all over our wood floors until we came to the new house the following day & were met with the mess & flood. Within just a few months, the dishwasher had to be serviced. Again, not a good sign but sometimes things happen. Shortly thereafter, the blue digital display on the double ovens had some lights stop working & the display was messed up. I called, I was told a part would be sent & when we received it, to call back & a repairman would be dispatched. The part did not arrive when expected, another bad thing, I called after a few days, giving ample time & was told the part had not been sent but now would be for sure. About a month later I received a part. I called for service. No one showed up. A couple of weeks later, I called again. I was told AGAIN that the repairman would come. A couple of days later, I received a SECOND part. No repairman. EVER. Anyway, the digital blue displays on the glass stovetop soon followed suit & stopped working as well. Now I have to guess what temperature I am really cooking things at. The only appliance with the Electrolux name on it that has not had an issue so far is the microwave. I hate to even say it, as I probably just jinxed it. The refrigerator is now not working at all. It kept turning off & on, off & on. Then it popped up a CE error on the beautiful blue display that I was once so fond of. We have ordered a part & my husband is saying he will install it himself, again. The top oven of the double oven stopped keeping the correct temperature about a year ago. For example, I can set it for 350 degrees but in actuality, it may not even be 125 degrees. I feel so disgusted that I spent all my retirement money to have the kitchen of my dreams & instead got the kitchen of my nightmares. Compounding my deep disappointment is the fact that I know I can never afford to buy all new appliances again AND that since we bought all of these items at the same time, they will probably all start falling apart at the same time. I bought the hype, I believed I was buying quality & I regret it & will regret it forever. In my blind faith, I bought the kitchen I wanted because I knew I would never ever have such an opportunity again to furnish my kitchen with top of the line state of the art appliances. Refrigerators, microwaves, stovetops, double ovens & dishwashers should all last longer than 5 years. That is just my humble opinion but it is also my humble opinion that I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux anything. I spent a small fortune on Electrolux products to have ALL of them, except the microwave, have issues right off the bat & have a top quality refrigerator fail within 5 years. Kelly Ripa should be ashamed of herself for making money off this terrible product.

Microwave (Model # EI30BM60MSA / Serial # KG42833822) I purchased a newly constructed home on 03/04/2015. I paid an upgrade charge to have Electrolux appliances installed in my kitchen. I received a one year warranty. Six months after owning the microwave the door handle broke off upon opening it. There are two non-body building adults and no children in the house. It was covered under warranty. A technician was dispatched. He was unable to replace the door handle and had to replace the entire door (destroying my wall in the process). Six months after that, the same thing happened with the door handle breaking off. No coverage as warranty expired eleven (11) days prior. I called Electrolux customer service and spoke with a supervisor. Although polite, she definitely was reading from a memorized script (really frustrating). She was unable to assist with my issue beyond just sending a replacement door handle. I explained to her my disappointment with Electrolux products and she stated she would make note of my complaint. Amazing.I will reiterate my extreme dissatisfaction with Electrolux products and its customer support. This issue is clearly an ongoing one as it has happened twice within a year. At the very least, Electrolux should dispatch and pay for a technician to replace the door handle ESPECIALLY since the last technician found it impossible to perform. If a technician found it impossible, what makes Electrolux think that a customer can replace the handle? Stand by your products Electrolux.

Purchased an Electrolux refrigerator in June of 2011. I did not bother with an extended warranty. From my past experiences with refrigerators, I figured that I should at least get about 7 or 8 years of use at the minimum.Three months later, while opening the refrigerator, the handle came off in my hand. It actually broke where it connected to the screws on the door. At the time, I had other issues that were deemed more important, so I did not bother with having it repaired. The following summer, I noticed that on very hot or humid days, the refrigerator did not get as cold as it normally functioned. That would last for several days and then miraculously it would return to the normal set temperature. This continued to occur this summer also. From day one, I always said that the refrigerator was loud. Everyday, especially at night when things are quieter, I hear an intermittent popping sound. It is 1:00 AM in the morning, and I just read several reviews on this site. When I woke up yesterday morning, the refrigerator, as well as, my food, were warm. I thought, how in the world can a 2-year-old refrigerator stop working. Granted, that I only paid around 500 plus dollars, I felt I was buying a reliable product since it was a sub-brand of Frigidaire which was the name of my washer/dryer set that I had for 13 years without any problems. At this very moment, the refrigerator is making a very loud humming sound. Earlier I had to transfer food to my deep freezer. I am not happy. I decided to find out if there were any complaints on this product (hindsight) to determine what my next step would be. Well, I have decided to purchase another refrigerator (a well known name brand) and not even bother with a repair service due to the numerous complaints I have read. I refuse to take out the time to experience repeated repairs! Sales representatives will say anything to get you to buy a product. If I have learned anything, it is to research before hand when purchasing sub-brand appliances, regardless of the manufacturer. I will not own another ELECTROLUX product EVER!

I am your customer and I have an Electrolux double door refrigerator. I had a service issue with you around 12 days back. I placed the complaint on your customer care number and your executive came to the house and visited the refrigerator. After that, he said there is gas related issue which can be solved easily, you just bear RS1100 for resolving out and I have paid RS500 cash in advance. He has given me a receipt also, but nothing can be done yet. The executive name was Umer from Kaisher Electronics, Laxmi Nagar. After that, I had raised once again the same issue to customer care but they did not respond to me properly so I request you to please look into this and resolve this matter at the earliest time. If the problem is not resolved within 48 hours, I will escalate the same and going forward to some legal step.

We bought a counter depth french door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. From the very beginning we have had trouble with the ice maker. They repaired it twice and it still did not work. The last time my husband called, they said they needed to order a part and we never heard from them again. We finally unhooked the water to the fridge. When Sears sent their extended warranty offer, I wrote them a letter and told them that I would not buy their warranty due to the fact that the refrigerator was not repaired by Electrolux, and Sears did not assist us in any form, so why would I purchase an extended warranty. Now, the seal on the freezer failed. We have never gotten any satisfaction from Electrolux or Sears concerning our refrigerator. So today when I went out to buy my new cooking range, I absolutely ruled out Electrolux. I will never do business or buy an electrolux product again.

New 10/2014 Have had issues with ice maker since new. Many calls to Electrolux at which I had to take numerous hours off work. Several different companies have been sent to correct problem at which it has NOT been fixed. Problem still continues and now is making noise on and off. Went before Electrolux board for replacement and was denied due to the fact the service people they use did not call from the house so to them there was not enough evidence. Duuuggghhh! Now, you know they have records of my calls and the people they sent out!! I was told by one Electrolux person that I need to have repairman call them from my house. Is that my responsibility? NO. One repair guy said, Nah no need for me to do that! I do not think it is my place to tell them anything! One repair guy told me that it was as good as it would ever be. It has always put out crushed ice from the cubed slot. To me cubed is cubed and crushed is crushed. NEVER had this issue with my other fridge. I have done tons of research and they have major issues with their ice makers, period! Monday I took off work again to have the repair guy show up and the order that had been called in (by a manager) said I was out of warranty and to charge me. Sooo, he had to leave and now we are waiting again... another day off work for yet another company to come next week! Oh yeah, and by the way they did not get anyone out after the Monday incident, I had to again take my time to call them. This is completely ridiculous and uncalled for! I really want my money back because this is fridge 5, all ice makers with way too many issues, unfixable! All within the first year! I could go on and on but this is just the tip off the iceberg. Today they told me I had to call the service guy to set my time but they had already give them a dispatch number. Called and guess what no #. Sooo again I had to call again! I think I need to be on their payroll!

I bought an expensive Electrolux refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher in 2012. So far I have required repairs on the dishwasher (control panel went dead); stove (would not self clean) and the refrigerator has broken plastic that holds up the bins; very hard to remove drawers and put back in for cleaning. The bin handles you pull out are broken on at least 3 drawers. I bought these online thinking if I paid a very high price I would get quality - WRONG. I believe the cheap builders appliances would have been better than the Electrolux fix and repair too often.

Our new home came with Electrolux appliances, which I thought was great. Not so much. My dishwasher buttons are smearing off (Model EI24ID81SS) and the button board requires unplug and replugging when the button board freezes. My wall oven has (EW30EW55PS) has a temperature probe that worked for the two times I used it, and does not work. My microwave (EW30SO60QS) creates steam on the buttons, which have already malfunctioned for 4 months where the time or timer just didnt work. I have to leave my microwave open to make sure the steam for using the microwave does not break the buttons. The gas stove top (EW36GC55PS) didnt ignite one of the burners after 1 month of use so I had to manually grab a lighter & ignite the burner for use. Ive never had so many issues from one brand. The only 1 star is for their aesthetic appearance.

Have all Electrolux kitchen appliances ($10,000) which are a little more than 4 years old. Except for the microwave, the double oven, refrigerator, dishwasher & top gas burner have had numerous problems. Lucky I have a 5 year extended service contact which will soon come to and end. Basically the appliance are made like junk... The refrigerator was replaced be the manufacturer after two days since there was moisture all over the interior of the unit. The replacement refrigerator wasnt any better. They then corked up the air ports in the refrig/freezer wall to limited the airflow which is a ridiculous fix since this restricts the circulation which a major feature of the unit. The freezer cheap plastic draws are broke (no longer slide & not under warranty). The freezer froze up and had to be taken apart to get the ice off the back coils. The water dispenser had to be replaced 4 times to get one that would stop dripping. The water & ice dispensers are poorly designed. During power outage, the freezer starts defrosting in about 4 hours resulting in a flood on the floor from the ice cube tray. Door has no restraint, when opening, to stop it from hitting the Electrolux stove handles which is next to the frig resulting in denting the stainless steel refrig door. As for the stove, the heating elements (flaw in its design) in both the top and bottom have been replaced 3 times. Expect this failure will be repeated again& again. Without the warranty, this would be a huge expense. The stove was out of commission for least 3 weeks each time. The dish washer, first day of operation (bottom shelf loaded with dishes) came out of the washer and rolled across the kitchen floor. It took the repair service several tries to jury rig a fix to solve this from happening. The dishes never get dried since there is no heat cycle and you have to manually wipe down the inside of the machine to prevent the mill due smell that will occur. The wash cycle is over an hour which is ridiculous. The machine occasionally starts by it self. Most of the internal working parts are cheap plastic.Waiting for the microwave to fail. To date, the repair service has been to my house over 12 times... Our 20 year old appliances, refrig & dishwasher, never had a problem. In fact, we have the old Whirlpool refrig in the garage. This is where we now keep all the meats and ice cream... In conclusion, there should be a class action suit against Electrolux.

What is worse the refrigerator or the 800 number customer service? New refrigerator came, got set up and the control panel didnt work. Two weeks later the tech came with the second one that also didnt work. One month on a new refrigerator and no ice. Since then, an ice maker service call repair every six months. Company takes no ownership of their products performance and customer service and their supervisor spend their time trying to sell a $300 per year service contract. We are very dissatisfied with our Electrolux Refrigerator as well as the customer service that Electrolux has provided to us. We first purchased Model # EI23BC55IS for the price of $3,199.95 on July 3, 2009 from Barrys Appliance in Bridgewater, NJ. Our salesman, Jason, talked us into buying this appliance by telling us that it was state of the art and would fit nicely into our newly remodeled kitchen since it was cabinet-depth. He told us how the icemaker in the door of French door type refrigerators worked well in this model. The appliance never worked as the book stated. It leaked water and delivered slushy melted ice. After several service calls, one of which was to replace the motherboard, Electrolux furnished us with a replacement refrigerator on 9/21/09. We had one service to this new appliance on another matter, but truthfully, it never produced ice the way the Use and Care Guide said it should. The guide states that it produces approximately nine pounds of ice every 24 hours, but we constantly ran out of ice with normal usage. We are a family of four so this never made sense to us. The bin never filled up within 24 hours with nobody using ice during that time. It also shoots ice away from glasses that are directly under and my family constantly complains about this as well.On July 7, 2012, we called Electrolux when the unit stopped producing ice altogether. We were, at first, told that since the appliance was no longer under warranty that Electrolux would not pay to service the appliance. We asked for a supervisor to review this decision since we were not satisfied and believe that this particular model is defective as the icemaker doesn’t work as the Use and Care Guide suggests it should. We were granted what we were told was a concession (Ref # **) and were informed that a service company would be contacting us.On July 12, we contacted Electrolux as nobody had contacted us to set up the service call. At this time, we spoke with Chiffon, who put the call on hold to set up a service call. A woman named Susan from Dan Mark Appliance set up a service for us. On July 14, Dan Mark technician Carlos came out. We were told by Carlos that a new icemaker was needed and that this would take 3 to 5 business days. After more than two weeks, Dan Mark finally sent another technician out on July 30. This Dan Mark technician told us that he was replacing the motherboard, not the icemaker, and that this should solve the problem. On August 1, we contacted Dan Mark to tell them that we had no ice. They promised to send another technician on August 6. On August 2, we received an automated call from Dan Mark that a technician would be out on August 3 between 8:00-11:00 AM, and although this was unexpected, one of us stayed home from work that morning in hopes that this matter would finally be taken care of and we would have ice for the rest of the summer. When the technician came out though, he told us that he needs to replace the icemaker motor and housing and upgrade the motherboard as well. We didn’t hear from anyone again until August 8 when Dan Mark called to set up a service call for August 11. On August 11, a Dan Mark technician came and replaced the icemaker motor but did not upgrade the motherboard as promised. He told us that there should be ice by evening. We placed yet another call to Dan Mark on 8/13 when the icemaker began dripping water and would only produce crushed ice. On August 15, with no confirmation call, one of us unexpectedly had to come home from work when a Dan Mark technician came to our home and telephoned that he was at our address. This technician told us that a new ice bin was needed and that he would order this and it would take a week.By August 15, with several lost hours at work so that we could be home for numerous service calls and no ice for much of the summer, we decided to contact Electrolux directly. We spoke with Tiana, giving her all the dates of service calls. She told us that she entered that information into the system. She could not offer us any other help at that time. We did not hear from Dan Mark again, and on August 27, we contacted Electrolux and spoke with Sade, who contacted Dan Mark and was told that they had ordered and received the ice bin and had tried to contact us several times and couldn’t, so they returned this part to Electrolux. We told Sade that we received no calls from Dan Mark during the time period of August 15-August 27 and requested that a different company service this appliance. Sade told us that new concession would be needed (**) and set up with Angela at Metro Factory to service this unit. Ironically, on August 28, Dan Mark contacted us to install the ice bin, but we told them that we had contacted Electrolux and were using another service company going forward. On August 29, Metro Factory technician Carl came out and was able to hook up the appliance to his computer (this was the first time a technician had done this) and told us the unit needed an upgraded motherboard. He noted that the limited ice in the bin was “melty” and stuck together. We told him that the unit was only producing crushed ice, and he mentioned that upgrading the board would take care of this problem. While he was there, he was asked if he serviced many of this particular Electrolux refrigerator model and he said, “Oh yes,” and always the icemaker. We were not surprised. On August 30, Metro Factory called to tell us that the technician could not come out until September 10, and we made an afternoon appointment for that date. When we didn’t receive a confirmation call the night before this service, as had been the practice of both Dan Mark and Metro Factory, we contacted Metro Factory on September 10 and were told that, indeed, they were not coming out since they had received no parts and that this was the manufacturer’s fault. We were even asked if we received any parts, which surprised us since we weren’t expecting parts to be delivered to us.On September 11, we contacted Electrolux once again and spoke with Charlene. Again, everything was explained from the beginning, and after being put on hold for 6 minutes, we were told that Metro Factory was not picking up and that she would call back once she contacted them. In the afternoon that day, Charlene called to tell us that Metro Factory did order parts and that we should expect to hear from them on September 14. She could not explain why the parts were taking so long or why Metro Factory asked us if we received them. We did not hear from Metro Factory on September 14. In fact, as of today, we have not heard from Metro Factory. We are writing this complaint in hopes that Electrolux will see that we are entitled to compensation and satisfaction that has been denied to us since purchasing the original refrigerator. We are requesting that our original purchase price of $3,199.95 be returned to us and that the appliance be picked up when we are able to replace it with another appliance of our choice. Be assured, it will not be an Electrolux appliance. We plan to never purchase an Electrolux product again. We have read other complaints and agree that there must be some engineering problem with these particular types of unit. Electrolux needs to recognize this defective model is hurting customer satisfaction for many families.

I am writing about Electrolux EW28BS85KS5 French Door Refrigerator. This refrigerator was a replacement for the Generation One that had the terrible problem with the ice maker and was subject of a Class Action Lawsuit. My was replaced before the Class Action even started. After many many stressful conversations with Electrolux, they made me buy an extended warranty after the fact and replaced my refrigerator with this is one. I have had this fridge now about 5 and a half years. This fridge started to have temperature problems in June of this year. The temperature of the freezer and also the fridge would go haywire. It would go up then down a bit, then up to high with the alarm sounding, then down again etc. This refrigerator also developed a rusty spot on the back of the fridge where the ice maker is. Now, the rusty spot has a thick ice on it on the outside.I ended up calling out the repair company listed on Electroluxs website. They told me that the defroster is broken and needs to be replaced ($400 for the par). They also informed me that the rusty spot with the ice forming on it cannot be fixed. There is no solution for that. They called Electrolux many times and it is not fixable. They told me that I am better off getting another refrigerator. This will leak in the back, damage my hardwood floor and also cause mold to grow. Of course, I contacted Electrolux and they are no help. Nothing can be done. They cannot and will not do anything for me. I am out of the initial investment of $4K.I am shopping for another fridge. Of course, I am not happy that I have to spend $$$ on a fridge when I only had the replacement fridge for a short period of time. In my opinion 5 and half years should not be the lifespan of a fridge. Of course, I am frustrated, wouldnt you be? I am contacting the AGs office again to file a complaint. If Electrolux had the willingness to stand behind their products, it would eliminate so many customer complaints. But, they do not care of good customer service and repeat business. Too bad for them.

My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances
My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances 2 years ago. EVERY Electrolux appliance we bought has had major problems within the first 18 months, and continues to break. The following all happened within the first 18 months of owning the appliances, and with fairly light use. The microwave simply stopped working. The control panel went black and would not response. We paid nearly $1000 for parts and labor to fix it (as this happened just barely after the warranty expired). 6 months later, the same thing happened. No support or coverage, although the technician was quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not.The refrigerator door handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. Technician was again quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not. About a month later, the freezer drawer handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. The technician was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The Oven stopped working. Simply no heat. Everything looked like it was working, but there would be no heat. $540 repair bill. The technician once again claimed that these appliances almost never have any issues, and was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The dishwasher top rack continues to break loose from its rollers, requiring everything be removed, including unscrewing the brackets for the top rack, and remounting it. This is a very poor design, and seems to be a very common problem on this model. The stove top knobs have all broken loose, and the stove top ignition has stopped working several times. You may be thinking that we must really be rough on our appliances. No.. We barely use them. Our kids have moved away and it is just my wife and I. We are gentle with them, and try to be very careful, especially with what now seems to be extremely fragile workmanship. We have owned several homes and many, many kitchen appliances... We have never had any issues (even when all of our kids were at home and the appliances saw much greater use). Electrolux is without question the very worst. You may be asking why we dont replace them, instead of repairing them. Good question, and we probably will. Of course the cabinets were designed around these appliances, and they all match aesthetically, which is a big part of the reason.

What this to go with the Electrolux washer. Wanted stackable and large capacity. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. It’s perfect for condo living. And accommodates comforters and king size blankets and bedspreads. It also has lots of features and at 5’1” I can still see and reach the control pad.

Their support is super ignorant and useless. We paid their expensive insurance and their unit broke. We are almost 2 months without a working unit and literally have spent close to the same amount in getting our clothes laundered vs. buying a new unit. So frustrating. We have a child that needs sanitized clothes due to a health issue. Their support is so ignorant and do not care. They got a part in and scheduled the first appointment, took almost 1 month. Then the guys got here and said, Oh the part is broken. So you think they would expediate, right? Well no, now we are waiting another month. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT OR EXTENDED SERVICES. I have been waiting 6 weeks for my washer to get fixed. I can’t seem to get anyone in the warranty customer service department at RC Willey to tell me at what point I will have a working washer. The repair company has been out three times to repair the washer with no success. Prior to this I had the dryer fixed 2 times using the Electrolux first year warranty and one time through the RC Willey Warranty. Each repair takes a minimum of 2 weeks to complete. The washer/dryer set is 2 years old. I have contacted Electrolux and they said I have a parts warranty but will have to pay out of pocket if I don’t use the warranty. What is the point of purchasing a warranty if you never have a working product? I’m trying really hard to understand why it is so hard to complete the repairs on the unit I have. If you sell a warranty you should stand behind it. I will never buy Electrolux again and most certainly will never purchase anything from RC Willey. Extremely disappointed in both companies.

My experience with Electrolux appliances is junk, junk, junk!!! I purchase three brand new appliances and they all had to be serviced right out of the packaging!! The french door bottom freezer refrigerator is junk. The ice maker in the bottom drawer was replaced within a month and a half after purchased. The upper ice maker has been replaced once, serviced two more times since then and now needs to be serviced again!! It goes through some type of defrost mode which causes the cubes to melt in both the upper and lower bins, which then drips out of the dispenser in the door and once again it does not make ice. It frosts up behind the ice bin itself which in turn needs to be serviced again to replace some seal. I have always purchased GE appliances and gave Electrolux a try being they are suppose to be a higher end appliance. Never, never again would I purchase Electrolux!!

The gasket was exposed and clearly had been in heat for hours. Electrolux would not replace the gasket after speaking to a supervisor. Whos to say that the product was not of quality when the distributor packaged it. The supervisor offered a 20% discount to purchase another gasket. Oh my... why would I do that? I have a dishwasher, countertop stove, microwave, double oven and of course the refrigerator... all Electrolux! They have truly lost a customer and I will share with others not to buy an Electrolux product!

Subject: Your Kitchen and Laundry Equipment in Hotel Dar Al Ghufran Makkah. This is to bring to your kind attention that Dar Al Ghufran Hotel Makkah, is one of the 5 stars hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. We have purchased the entire kitchen and Laundry equipment, required for one 5 star hotel use, from Electrolux, through your dealer in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chbib Trading Co Ltd. The purchase amount was over five million riyals. Now the equipment are over a year in use and we have few machines, i.e., dishwasher, flat ironer, meat bone saw, went out of order and Chbib was called in for check or repair. It is with regret to state that your dealer has no spare parts available with them what so ever, in order to get the machines repaired. They had to place order for the same and we have to wait until they receive these parts and the waiting period is more than a month. And that too when the equipment under warranty? Now the dishwasher is o. Again and we dont know how long your designated agent will take to bring in the spare parts when the warranty period is already over. (One year).Again dish washing machine still is out of order from 20th December till now, only due to spare parts (Frequency Inverter part # OL2601- Model # WTM 140 ERB). After long time, your dealer received the parts and now last four days they are trying to fix, but they are facing some complications with new part installation / parameter, and dish washing machine still is out of service, and I requested to Chbib provide us alternative solution to run the operation. And we buy new meat bone saw of different brand because when saw was out of order (only motor was burnt out) and your dealer was taking long time to repair it, more than two month. What is the solution to get the fast service from your dealer and we want to direct dealing to your company to get the spare parts with in minimum period. Would you imagine this how we will run the operation? This time we feel so sorry for Electrolux Company that we purchased equipment from this company, never the less; we sure will have to think twice before buying any equipment from your company (Electrolux Brand) for our any future properties coming up, or even to recommend your brand to any future Hoteliers. We eagerly wait for your response, if this is the kind of service, after sales, your company and brand provide to your customers.Once again we express our regret to have been associated with your brand.

For the first year, refrigerator worked well. Then ice maker began filling to capacity every twelve hours. It had to be emptied every night before bed or it banged all night. Called Electrolux and told out of warranty. They offered to send qualified repairman for four hundred dollar fee (parts not included). Have a whole house warranty and they sent a repairman who replaced a circuit. Ice maker worked for two days, then started making malformed ice cubes. Another repairman sent who replaced entire ice maker. It worked perfectly for six months. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Told by Electrolux to replace both air and water filters which I did wasting about a hundred dollars. After two weeks, it miraculously started making ice. Then after one month IT STOPPED. I changed the filters again because the control panel said they needed to be changed. Wasted another hundred dollars. Followed every suggestion in manual and finally got seven ice cubes (half melted and in a block). Emptied them out, replaced ice drawer and a few hours later got one malformed cube and water leaking all over the inside of the refrigerator and the floor. Cleaned up the mess and stood in front of the dispenser door to keep an eye on the devil. It cycles after taking water for a drink or when it goes through the regular cycle and then leaks a half cup of water from dispenser tube which I have now equipped with a plastic Chinese soup container. Once again, I must be sure to empty it before I go to bed. I hate that refrigerator and the company that spawned it. Like others, I waited until I was older, retired and handicapped to fulfill my dream of the perfect kitchen appliance. THANK GOD, I DIDNT BUY THE STOVE!

We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world. Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children. Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Lets just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

We bought an Electrolux gas stove less than 3 years ago. In less than two years, the enamel on the inside of the oven was flaking off where the racks go. These racks are on gliders so if you are cleaning the oven, its pretty much the only time the whole rack gets moved in and out. In other words, the rack stays in place but the shelf itself can glide in and out to remove food. I noticed 3 spots chipped off about 8 months ago after I cleaned the oven and was putting the racks back in. I wrote to Electrolux and sent pictures to them. They sent me back an email saying they had a technician look at the pictures and he determined this was normal wear and tear. So I sent them a reply stating that my last two stoves were over 20 years old, the racks were in and out of those stoves many times and all the enamel was still in place when I got rid of the stoves. This was a manufacturer defect and I would like this fixed. The liaison from the CEO then called me and told me the same thing that their reply email stated and again I told her about my last two stoves never having this problem. She then offered me 60% rebate to buy another Electrolux stove because they cant replace the inside of the stove. I told her, No, I want all my money back so I can go and buy a stove that will last. I had read online many people were dissatisfied with their stoves for the very same reason I was complaining. Also the front right burner doesnt light right away, another complaint from others. When it finally decides to light you get a loud fffumm and a huge flame shoots out of the burner. Now, the other day I cleaned my stove and the next morning I opened the oven to wipe the ash out and in the bottom of the oven the ash was rust colored. I thought that was weird but figured it was the grease that had spilled over before I cleaned it, but once I started wiping it out, I noticed the bottom of the oven is actually rusted and pitted all over. This is not normal. As I see it, the enamel is breaking off when the oven is cleaned. The front of the stove where the knobs for the burners, where it tells which burner is for each knob is all worn off. This is a very expensive appliance with shoddy workmanship! Now Electrolux is telling me they will give me 50% back to buy another one of their stoves. I would never spend that kind of money, and this was the most expensive stove in any of the places we looked. I thought I was paying for a good brand, a long time name in the appliance business and would stand by their product. I will never purchase another Electrolux product again.

I have a high end Electrolux refrigerator that is only 5 years old. The ice maker rusted through the back of the refrigerator and a softball size lump of ice was sticking out of the rusted area. The repairman stated the refrigerator was not repairable, he notified Electrolux and stated Electrolux would make good on it. Electrolux offered a 20% rebate on my next Electrolux refrigerator purchase because of the age of my refrigerator. My refrigerator is 5 years old. A refrigerator life expectancy is 14-17 years, making the average 15.5 years. My refrigerator lasted less than 1/3 of the average expectancy and I expected Electrolux to give me 2/3 off my next purchase. They stated my refrigerator was past warranty. Well Electrolux, this was a KNOWN manufacturer’s defect and you allowed the warranty to expire without informing your consumers. I bought Electrolux because I believed you to be upfront and honest and to stand behind your product and most of all to do the right thing. I couldnt be more wrong. I will never buy from you again and that includes your Frigidaire brand and I will be sure to let everyone I know and even strangers that you do NOT stand behind your product and are deceptive by not disclosing manufacturer defects to consumers at every opportunity.

Avoid Electrolux Washer and Dryers like the PLAGUE!!! They make horrible designs, and are deceitful and dishonest with their clients. I purchased two units from them in 2013 - a washer EIFLS55IMB and a dryer EIMED55IMB. The washer has been a disaster. First of all most of the components inside the washer are made in China which has a terrible reputation for quality. In my particular case the main pulley attached to the tub is constantly coming loose because the bolt that holds it on cant do the job. Over time the belt gets loose because the pulley wobbles on its axis and the washer cannot spin/rinse the clothes. Worse yet the pulley is designed so that the belt can easily slip off of it as there is no lip to keep it in place. When the pulley comes loose it often drags against the plastic tub... cutting into the tub itself until it eventually slices through it completely. The end result is catastrophic failure.I have had several repair people come over and do realignment of the pulley and belt but it keeps happening. Finally I went in there and took a look for myself and was astonished at what I saw. A complete and total design failure. Electrolux should not be trusted with any appliance purchases. Believe me this company will rip you off and not live up to their warranty commitment. Avoid them like the the plague or you will be sorry!Updated on 07/17/2015: I filed this first Consumer Affairs complaint against Electrolux listed below a few months ago. Well I now have confirmed that the grooves cut into my clothes washer tub by the defective tub pulley is causing water from the tub to splash inside the unit which then makes it way into the pedestal. All the circuitry and the control board for the washer have experienced corrosion as a result. It is a miracle there wasnt an electrical fire.

I remodeled my kitchen and purchased both an Electrolux double oven and refrigerator in Sept 2014. We started using the oven in Dec of 2014 due to remodeling timeline. After the first oven cleaning, we had to have it repaired as one of the ovens stopped working. A common problem according to the repairman. They actually had a kit to fix it. Needed to put some kind of washer on the thermostat so it would not happen again. My oven even today runs hotter than set. We need to place a cookie sheet on the lower rack to prevent burning. Now just slightly over the 12 month warranty the welding on one of the glide oven racks did not hold and has now separated. I was very disappointed with customer service and Electrolux that they do not stand behind the oven rack and will not replace. According to the supervisor at Electrolux, an oven rack is not a functioning part and therefore is not replaceable.

We recently purchased an Electrolux Oven. The unit came highly recommend on several sites online. The unit arrived with damage, including a defective control panel. Electrolux was initially very friendly and professed a desire to do whatever was needed to fix the unit. In the end, they admitted that they had no parts for the oven and would have to manufacture some. It would take at least a month. They then discussed replacing the oven, but decided it needed to be repaired at least once. Of course there were no parts to repair it. In the end, they did nothing. So we bought another oven. We purchased both an Electrolux gas-oven/range and a refrigerator a few years back at a high-end appliance store for our new remodeled $150,000 kitchen. With the assumption that Electrolux has been in the business of developing and building appliances for many other well-known companies, was why we decided to go with their new line. Unfortunately, their appliance line is far from quality, and just cheap junk that starts having serious problems within six months of use. First off, our Model: EW30DS65GS Gas Oven/Range’s circuit board started having issues right off the bat. Now mind you, I have owned a few LED alarm clocks that have lasted me over fifteen years without any problems.Within one year, the LED display on our Electrolux Gas Oven/Range went dead, and we were told it would cost us $350.00 to replace it because it was out of warranty. Our Electrolux refrigerator is just as pathetic, and we have had it serviced out more than five times within the first year, just so our food didn’t go bad! Their customer service is a joke, and they could care less about their customers. It’s fairly obvious that Electrolux appliances are just a cheap line of poorly built Chinese junk for the ignorant mass-market. Don’t waste your money or time!

We purchased the oven from Lowes in 2012. It did not work from the start. Lowes refused to cover it and so did Electrolux claiming it was a 2008 model so not covered. After a hassle, they replaced the circuit board under an extended warranty plan. It then turned on but the temperature is totally random. It shuts off and on at will. According to the service people if the repairman says it cant be fixed we will get our money refunded. They seem confused about why no one will repair it. Based on our dealings so far and a little inside info about our local Lowes, I suspect it was already returned as not repairable and Lowes sold it to us anyway as a floor model. Do floor models usually not work? It is the worst appliance of any brand or any type that I have ever owned in forty years of buying appliances. Even if it did work, it is not user friendly or intuitive. You have to touch about six different buttons in the correct order just to bake at 350. My first scratch and dent with two knobs worked better. We bought it because it was supposed to replace all those appliances sitting on the counter, slow cooker, bread machine, etc. but it wont even just bake a freaking pot pie. I am grouchy because I have been trying for two hours and my blood sugar is really low.

In September 2013 I purchased numerous appliances for a house I was renovating. Among those were an Electrolux washer, dryer and 2 wine refrigerators. The appliances were delivered and installed in February 2014. The dryer steam valve malfunctioned in less than a year flooding the laundry room and damaging the wood floor; that was repaired under warranty. The washer malfunctioned a few months later - out of warranty - when it would not spin clothes dry. That required a service call and parts replacement for $454. About a year later the same problem arose. Another service call, another $454. Recently the problem occurred for the 3rd time. I was told that I needed a new drive belt and that the bearings were bad. The quote to repair was more than the cost of a new washer. I replaced washer and dryer with Maytag versions. The wine refrigerators have fixed shelves so close together that Burgundy style bottles cannot be placed on them without causing the shelf above to come out as well. The only solution is to skip a shelf if you need to store bottles wider than standard. Oh, yes, one of the refrigerators temperature controls no longer works.

When you set the oven to a pre-heat setting the oven heats up to that temperature but it doesnt maintain that temp and the temp begins to fall. Called Electrolux and they recommended a repair company and they came. They replaced the heat sensor for over $200.00 in repairs. No fix. Then called another company on our own and he replaced the motherboard, still no fix. My wifes first cousin (with my help) took the oven out of the cabinet and he found that the heating element at the bottom of the oven burnt up. Replaced that heating element and now the oven works just fine. Electrolux wanted to sell me an extended warranty on the oven for $500.00, not solving the problem. Please do not purchase Electrolux appliances. I unfortunately did not do my research before and deeply regret it as I am now in the hole about as much as I paid for it originally in repairs and it still does not work. I have spent numerous calls and hours with customer service and to no avail. They simply dont care if you ever purchase from them again and I definitely will not. The interface board on ours was faulty from the beginning and after being replaced still did not work. The ice maker would freeze over and after even repairing it broke again. We have been using ice trays for two years due to not being able to afford to pay the repair cost and another part since it was out of warranty at that point. I have filed a complaint with the State Dept. of Consumer Affairs and to file suit to replace a defective design. We are contacting their legal department due to the fact they knew it was a defective design and will not fix it or replace it. Electrolux used to be a great company and unfortunately like many today just dont care about the consumers who purchase with their hard earned money from them. The only recourse is to just not give them the money in the future so I highly recommend you do your research before throwing your money away with them.

The repairman is coming next Tues., it is only 3 months old. I have to rinse all the glasses, and silverware because they are filthy. Now it has no power. It is not the tripper switch, and there is power to the plug. My old dishwasher washed better than this expensive dishwasher. When I called for service, they said Well they use less water. That is no excuse for not cleaning the dishes, at that price. Hope it can be fixed, Im not washing dishes by hand.

I was assisting my sister who had an Electrolux refrigerator that was leaking water at the bottom, in the front. After following the common troubleshooting for this kind of problem, I found that the drain trough was clogged with ice, preventing water from going through the drain tube into the drain pan. To get to the drain trough, I had to take most of the freezer apart-removing the ice maker, removing the housing containing the auger motor and dispenser solenoid, and removing two long metal covers held together by several screws.Whoever designed this flunked out of engineering school. Just to get to the light bulb, you have to remove the ice maker and the housing with the auger motor. What happened to just placing the light bulb socket on the ceiling, as is done with other refrigerator models? Im fairly handy with mechanical work, Ive built my own computers. This model is set up to make the average user have to call a service tech for the simplest repairs. Stay away from Electrolux, the design is just terrible.

Our experience with Electrolux has been terrible to say the least. We purchased a home that was remodeled with all brand new Electrolux appliances. The total bill was almost $11,000 for the Electrolux appliances. Since our purchase of the home, (1.5 years) we have had to replace the Electrolux dishwasher that originally cost $999 before tax, because the unit stopped working and the repair person told us that this particular model EIDW6105GS had a lot of issues. When I tried to contact Electrolux they refused to do anything for us. Thus we had to buy a new Kitchen Aid.Now our refrigerators ice maker has gone out (Model Number EW28BS70IS). Again we had a repair person out to fix it; and he alluded that this particular Icemaker by Electrolux has had many issues with the IceMaker and it cannot be repaired. The whole refrigerator would have to be replaced. And the repair person said Electrolux should replace it. However, Electrolux would not replace it. Even though they recognized it has been a problem, they will not replace it because we purchased the home with the appliance already there. It doesnt really matter who owns the house, the refrigerator has not moved, it is less than 5 years old, it cost $3,500; you would think it should last longer than 5-years. And you would think that Electrolux would be more interested in making it right with their customers when they know that this is a manufacturing issue. Everyone, just save yourself from frustration, do not purchase any Electrolux products to avoid the heartbreak of having to deal with such an inferior product and customer service. Thank you for reading my post.

Never buy an Electrolux side-by-side refrigerator with a water dispenser and ice maker. We bought one in 2011. After the first year, the water dispenser began to function erratically (the water wouldnt stop running). Over time, this problem cascaded into a myriad of problems that caused the entire unit to fail. We had paid for the extended warranty, so Electrolux replaced it. But now, the replacement unit has the same problems! Were reluctant to start the repair process, fearing this unit may also self-destruct. Our only option is to again pay $800 for the extended warranty but a good product should not require customers to endlessly invest in warranties. This product seems to have an inherent defect that the company has failed to fix. Save yourself this grief and buy some other brand of refrigerator besides an Electrolux.

The refrigerator was purchased in ‘08. So far, the paddle to dispense water and ice has broken. There was no replacement for the paddle. You had to buy the entire dispensing system. Next, the circuit board fried. Again, it cost big bucks. There was no warranty. Now the defrost fan burned out. Again, it cost $250, not to mention the food that got ruined. Thank God the old GE fridge the Electrolux replaced, that was put in the garage, still works after 15 years. Never again will I buy Electrolux.

I purchased a complete set of electrolux appliances just over 2 years ago. The main control panel on my stove burnt out 3 months after purchase. The ice maker on my refrigerator has been repaired 3 times and is now done for good. I have broken cheap plastic trim on my fridge doors and the handle on my microwave broke off last week. Their customer service department is HORRIBLE. Impossible to work with. After the last issue with our ice maker, the local repairman was instructed by electrolux to pull the fridge away from the wall and check to see if there was any frost on the back of the fridge. You should have seen it. Apparently the model I have, has an insulation problem, which is why the ice maker keeps freezing up and stopping. I was told they were going to replace my fridge with a brand new unit...different model of course. BUT...I was on the hook for the delivery and replacement fee...because I was out of warranty. After 5 phone calls arguing this point...they told me I would not get the fridge...unless I agreed to pay the fee. End of discussion. RIDICULOUS. They sell me a piece of crap and I still have to pay for it. Well...its been 2 months since they promised me a new fridge..and I was forced to agree to pay the $200 delivery fee.......and its still not here. I get weekly phone calls...telling me the same story....still not in stock...but they expect it any day. I will NEVER give Electrolux/Frigidaire another dime of my money. Their stuff is JUNK!!

Model # E130BM6CPSA. Purchased this Electrolux OTR Microwave with the convection and grill in the hopes that I could get rid of my Breville convection toaster oven from our kitchen counter. Unfortunately no luck in doing that. Purchased Aug.31, 2017 and because the kitchen cupboards had to be modified to accommodate the microwave it sat in the box until Jan. 5, 2018 when it got installed by professional cabinet installers who have done this many times. The microwave works well, however when I went to use the convection cooking function I ended up using it 2X as long as the toaster oven and then had to put it in the toaster oven to actually get past just being warm. Next day I tried to use the grill function to cook 6 small breakfast sausages and they also took 2X as long so I put them in the fry pan to finish.I call Electrolux customer service and they gave me 3 service companies to contact. We had one of them come and check out the unit and it never got to the temperature he entered on the unit and call Electrolux and the customer service rep he reached said the convection function takes about 40 min to reached the desired temp. (So I can only guess the preheat function is not working, but 40 minutes really.) The service tech then tried again to preheat the convection function and redid it for a 1/2 hour with no luck and call Electrolux a 2nd time that day. The customer service rep said that my expectation for this microwave were too high. Also the customer service rep pointed out to me that the manufacture date on the unit is 2015 and I purchased it in August 2017 so he suggested that I contact Electrolux again and tell them that I am not satisfied with the microwave which I did.The customer service rep did confirm to me that there was a note on file of my issue and said she would contact someone about my dissatisfaction with the microwave and get back to me the next day. No one called me back and I patiently waited and then finally called them back 2 weeks later and was basically told there is nothing wrong with the microwave and there is nothing they can do. I will never purchase another Electrolux convection/grill microwave and will purchase a Panasonic next time.

We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report.
We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report. Our 2.5 year old appliances have had 10 service calls in this time frame. Problem is now that they are out of warranty, the service calls, and the cost of parts have become astronomical. The refrigerator filters cost $60 each. New shelf $40. Ice maker replacement part $200. Range control panel $535.51, range display board $211.79, plus service call $125+/-. None of these repairs are guaranteed, in fact the range needs these 2 parts for the second time. If you can find a service repair company that even wants to work on these lemons. Most of service companies refuse to work on these appliances. They do not want to accept responsibility for failed repairs. The service repairman basically told me that the repair will fail again. He implied that I should junk the 2.5 year old range ($2,800 new). Think Electrolux customer service will be any help? Think again. Their purpose in life, is to 1) Sell you more stuff like extended warranties. 2) Make sure that you talk to no one else at the company. 3) Listen to your problem, sympathize and give you nothing that will solve the problem. If you ask to be transferred to a supervisor, they transfer you to the next cubicle to someone like Therese (one of the rudest people you will ever encounter), Thomas, Stephanie, or Bridget. All of these people will tell you that they are important (BS like special assist to CEO) but they are dead ends. My advice stay away from Electrolux, Frigidaire, and if the sale is approved GE appliances. Electrolux is in the process of buying GE appliance. My advice, call the store that you bought the appliances from. That is how I got the microwave replaced. Dont be afraid to write these reviews. Use social media to help spread the word about these awful appliances and the horrible company is... Please, please, please, be a good friend and neighbor and help get the word out.

We purchased approx. $10K worth of new Electrolux appliances for our new home. The old home was blown away last year by a tornado. Purchased dishwasher, electric double ovens, electric cooktop, microwave oven, side by side refrigerator, and front load washer & dryer. All were top of the line that Electrolux offers. Dishwasher malfunctioned on first use. Sent out an error code #3. Was unable to contact Electrolux at the customer support site, so the wife called during working hours. The person she spoke with said turn it off at the breaker. That got the error code to go away, but it leaks out the front door now.Washer would not complete its cycle on its 1st, 2nd, & 3rd attempt. We got a service man scheduled to come out. Still having to do laundry at our daughters house. Tried to register my products online for over an hour, but their site would not complete the transactions. I find this product and customer support to be of poor quality even though it is marketed as top of the line. I would strongly recommend anyone to reconsider before buying Electrolux products. Oh yes, I tried to take their customer survey online, but that would not function either. Needless to say, I will never ever buy an Electrolux product again.

I was extremely excited to buy a set of supposedly quality washer and dryer
I was extremely excited to buy a set of supposedly quality washer and dryers made by Electrolux last year in March 2015. We purchased them from hhgregg in Lakeland, FL. Less than a year later the washer made a funny screeching noise and would not fully spin all the water out of the clothes. So thankfully it was under warranty being it was less than a year old. They sent a technician to look at the washer. (He was very nice) He said it was the drum and can order a new part and when it comes in we will come back out and replace it for you. He called in the repair, we were told it would be in the next week on a Monday. So Monday comes and goes. We called and they said the part didnt come in, it will be another week. This is extremely frustrating being we have a new born and have been washing clothes at a laundry mat and a neighbors house. SPENDING MONEY AT LAUNDROMAT!!! Finally after over 50$ in coins spent they came out on 03/15 and replaced some parts. Not only did one of the guys come to our house coughing and hacking all over the place they left scratches on the front of the washer!!! So guess what??? My baby gets a cold, no one is sick in our house and still she is fighting it. Im so upset at this whole ordeal. So even worse!!! TODAY the washer starts making the same sound, this time I recorded it on my phone to show the technician. About less than a minute after recording the spin cycle which is the last cycle... I walk out to the kitchen which is right off the laundry room, I start to smell smoke!!! Like something is burning! I go back into the laundry room and theres smoke coming from the damn washer. I panic and hit cancel, run to the living room, grab my daughter and my phone, run outside and called my husband who called the fire department. The fire department just left and my husband is the phone with hhgregg since our warranty ran out on 03/28/2016. They said OH WELL! My house would have burned down if I didnt hit cancel. We did purchase an extended warranty through hhgregg so we will see what happens. I am terrified to use these machines! I have pictures, video, and a report from the fire department. I will keep everyone updated. I no longer want these machines in my home. I will be returning both units to hhgregg even if we just drop them off. We are being handed back and forth from hhgregg and Electrolux at the moment. This was a very scary event today and we are being treated like no one wants to touch the washer because it caught on fire. Cannon Appliance Service said they want nothing to do with the repair anymore, call hhgregg. We are being told they have to come out and look at it and make sure it wasnt OUR FAULT their machine caught on fire. Thats where we are at, they are coming on Monday 04/04/16 to check it out. The fire department put the washer outside on our driveway. I have a video of the washer and you can actually see smoke starting to come out of the machine which I didnt notice till I watched the video just now.

We purchased an Electrolux French door refrigerator five years ago. It is now dead, as a problem with the ice maker caused the back of the refrigerator to completely rust out. I researched the issue and saw that this has happened dozens or hundreds of times with Electrolux refrigerators. I tried to get some satisfaction from the CEO, Alan Shaw, but he would not take my call, hiding behind a woman named Rita. They did offer me a 25% rebate on a new Electrolux product, but I would think since it is a known problem, and the unit only lasted 5 years, I would get a rebate of 65-75%. I was shocked when Rita told me that Electrolux refrigerators only last for 5-7 years. I don’t think I have ever had a refrigerator last less than 20 years. I have a new slogan for Electrolux - “buy an Electrolux - they only last 1/2 as long as the competition. Obviously, I will never buy another Electrolux product and I would encourage you to avoid them at all costs. They have no interest in customer satisfaction.

I had purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer in July of 2015. I spent over $2200 on the pair. I noticed almost immediately that the washer wasnt completely spinning the clothes dry. I assumed it was because it was too full. I lightened the loads and the problem still continued. I often had to rewash the loads 4 and 5 times to get it to spin dry. I had family come in to stay with me a few months after I purchased it. They used the machine and told me to call the company and have someone come out. I did and when the service guy came out he had told me that the entire inside of the machine needed to be replaced because a bolt came loose and pushed the drum forward. He informed me that the was a lemon and that I should get a replacement machine. He also said this would take 2 weeks and 2 guys and a 5 hr job. 2 weeks without a washing machine was unheard of in my world. I immediately called Electrolux and spoke to a manager. They told me all they could do is fix it and pay for the repairs. They told me to talk to Sears where I bought it to see if they would do anything for me. Well Sears did nothing!!! Literally said its not our problem and they dont deal with Electrolux. Then why the Hell do you sell it??? Never shop there... Ever. Anyway the repairs guy came out 12 days later. Fixed it and 1 week later I called to report the same issue. He retired to tell me its just the way this machine is. Nothing else he could do. Again, 2 weeks later the machine stopped spinning all together. They returned and said the bolt was loose again. This time they glued it. 7 months old and the machine is being glued. Well I said, pretty bad for a new machine to be treated like a 10 year old one. I called Electrolux and told them this was the 3 call on the same problem and this should be treated as a lemon and the machine should be replaced. The woman agreed completely and said she would get on the problem. Well never heard from her again. My husband called, talked to the manager and he said now that its glued it should be fine. I would have to wait for it to break again before any action takes place. Ive been out of laundry for a total of a month and for some reason they think thats ok!! I dont!!! Never ever purchase from this ** company. Save your money please.

I bought a new Electrolux refrigerator from a high end appliance store in 2013. Some reviews indicated problems with the ice maker, but I was assured they were fixed. It has never worked properly and now the freezer has stopped working. The ice maker is frozen shut and is leaking inside the refrigerator. Recently the temperature was fluctuating and ran high. In Oct. of 2009, I redid my kitchen and UNFORTUNATELY purchased my refrigerator ($2899.00), wall oven (no major issues), microwave (never worked correctly from day one) and dishwasher ($1200.00) at one time and thought that going w/ Electrolux for all four was the way to go. I had purchased the fridge and dishwasher along w/ a 4-yr. extended warranty for both. I have never in my life dealt with shoddier made appliances and a company that has NO clue how to manufacture ANYTHING but vacuums. The fridge had SIX service calls for a defective ice maker that could NEVER be fixed. It wasnt until our service tech (who by now was like family) called Electrolux directly and got us a refund for the purchase price of a 4 yr. old fridge. Last week, the dishwasher decided to leak water out from underneath it. It too had 4 service calls on it and has NEVER done a decent job of cleaning the dishes. Now that the warranty is up, the dishwasher is being replaced w/ a Bosch unit that was $400.00 less than the Electrolux and comes w/ a BETTER warranty and the backing of a company who knows what the hell theyre doing. I CANNOT STRESS IT ENOUGH -- STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ANYTHING ELECTROLUX!!! Even w/ extended service plans, they are nothing but stainless steel BOAT ANCHORS!!!!!!

I have been speaking with Electrolux customer service representatives for a week now regarding my Frigidaire range and the exploding glass that scattered all over my kitchen when I opened the oven door. Much to my disappointment, the Electrolux customer service representatives have explained to me that they have no responsibility to address this situation or provide my family with a safe oven because the range is no longer under the 12 month warranty. To say the least, I am appalled at this response. My family was exposed to glass exploding in my kitchen. My feet were cut, and my husband spent hours cleaning glass from every corner of our kitchen. We are just thankful that our young child was not in the kitchen and seriously injured. According to Electrolux customer service representatives, a slight bump of the oven door months earlier could cause the glass to explode in this manner. How is this a safe product? Our Frigidaire glass oven door exploding in our kitchen is a horrific safety hazard, and I am deeply disturbed by Electroluxs failure to rectify this situation.

Worst customer service, next to Fiat Corp, at least. On hold for 55 minutes waiting for a supervisor whom the customer service rep initially refused to get and then the supervisor refused to talk to me. I managed to call on a different phone and a helpful rep got me a supervisor in 8 minutes! Bottom line, my 2 month old Electrolux dishwasher has a plate rack that routinely collapses. After breaking several plates I decided to call for repair. They wanted me to troubleshoot, which I refused since I have moved nothing since getting the unit. The supervisor then informs me that I will be charged for the service call since the racks that hold the plates vertical are considered cosmetic and not functional and therefore not covered? Really? I dont need those racks to have my dishes cleaned? And apparently there are no actual lists of cosmetic and functional parts. It’s all arbitrary and based on what the company wants. We purchased the newest gas dryer from them. It arrived damaged. We began this hell of trying to get a working unit in June 7. Everything is in business days ranging from a fictional 3-5 to 7-10. There are no customer service managers or supervisors who will call you back, to get a reply from them is 1-2 business days and the excuse is so and such was going to call you tomorrow. On June 18 we were told a unit would be delivered and installed for us. We were told they were en route to the warehouse and we would have one as soon as they got to the warehouse. It’s July 10, still nothing, never a call from anyone and on July 9th we were told they had a unit but refused to ship it to us for fear of damage to the unit. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The original unit came in a undamaged box, it was next to the washer and the washer was in mint condition. The Dryer on the other hand was boxed and shipped damaged. Its box had no signs of stress, no holes or openings and showed no signs of rebounding. The packaging material inside the box was also in perfect condition. Nothing was compressed or broken as if to show signs of absorbing a fall. The machine is gouged and the top of the machine is not attached to the body of the unit. Someone at Electrolux allowed the unit to ship out broken. We have been trying to get resolve for over a month and no one seems to care at Electrolux. There is zero sense of urgency and zero words or apology or empathy. This is one of the worst if not the worst experience of buying a product, I absolutely regret buying these appliances from them.

The second time Electrolux sent a service tech who came without parts left and said he would come back again the next morning. Did not show up so we have a dryer in pieces with no word back. We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator - upgrading our current appliances after a remodel. These are the first and last Electrolux items I will ever purchase. The dishwasher had continuous problems with leaking. I had numerous repair companies come out and try to repair the problem - until they told me that the only thing they could do was take the unit to their warehouse, put it up higher and see if they could possibly find the leak - no guarantee. Every technician told me that Electrolux brands are one of the worst to work on. So we got rid of the dishwasher and replaced with another brand. Now it is the refrigerator. I got an EF error code on my display and after unplugging and plugging back in the fridge as the customer service rep at Electrolux instructed me to do, the whole fridge and freezer stopped cooling. This is not the first time I have had to empty my entire fridge and freezer. If you are considering buying Electrolux, read some of the reviews on this thread.
