My stove is emitting a terrible burning smell. They had a service tech out and said it was bad insulation. So they replaced it and still has the same problems. I called and they came out again and said there is nothing wrong. The smell is very bad and toxic. My husband has asthma and breathing issues. I called them back and they told me they wont replace it or fix it. They are very rude. I am so frustrated and angry with this.

The microwave turn tray was turning inside the microwave and hit the inside side and caused the microwave to never heat again. Technician said it was a bad built design and they have had numerous issues with this because Electrolux icon put a metal tray inside of the microwave where as usually its a glass tray. Called Electrolux to get a discount on replacing and told me they could not help me and mind you my whole home is Electrolux. Freezer, Refrigerator, Warming tray, 36 Range, 2 Dishwasher, Wine refrigerator and mini refrigerator and they could not help me. Bad customer service so I recommend never purchasing from Electrolux. They do not stand behind their product.

I purchased a refrigerator in October 2017 and by January 2018 it completely stopped staying cold. A servicer was scheduled to come out within 2 weeks so all of my food went bad. A $50 good gesture gift card was mailed out to a short time later. A few months later the exact same thing happened and I lost all of my food again. If that was not enough, in September 2018, my refrigerator stopped staying cold AGAIN and AGAIN I lost all of my food. This issue was eventually elevated to the corporate supervisors, in which I had the displeasure of speaking to Shanell out of Augusta, GA. She was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. She stated that these refrigerators are MAN MADE and thats what happens sometimes. At this time, I have been advised itll be roughly a week before anyone can come out to diagnose the issue and apparently theres only one technician in my area and he only does service work on Wednesdays. I will never, ever, purchase another Electrolux product. Ive never had this many issues with an appliance company at all. Buyers beware!

We bought the refrigerator in July of 2014 New from Lowes. Immediately we had to place a claim for uneven doors. 1 year later after warranty had expired. All the rear panel from the refrigerator side was entirely cracked. The representative refused to do anything because the units warranty had already expired. Last Night my wife opened the refrigerator door and a lot of white smoke came out. She open the freezer and the entire upper door and ice unit were melted and black. It caught on fire. We quickly disconnected it from power. We are in the process of putting a claim to Electrolux.

I purchased what I thought was a high quality front loading washer and dryer from Electrolux in 2014. In only two and a half years, the dryer has stopped working. The moisture sensor completely just fell off on its own, and I am beyond warranty. Ive had to take days off from work to have the item inspected, and to order a new part. It isnt cheap either. This is a very disappointing product that was not made very well.

After four months the refrigerator broke. They made me wait two weeks before even offering a loan fridge. I had to call them and spend hours on the phone to come up with any solution (other than not having a fridge). They asked me to go without a fridge for four months because the part they needed was on back order. Bad products + bad service = really really bad company.

We bought an Electrolux gas stove less than 3 years ago. In less than two years, the enamel on the inside of the oven was flaking off where the racks go. These racks are on gliders so if you are cleaning the oven, its pretty much the only time the whole rack gets moved in and out. In other words, the rack stays in place but the shelf itself can glide in and out to remove food. I noticed 3 spots chipped off about 8 months ago after I cleaned the oven and was putting the racks back in. I wrote to Electrolux and sent pictures to them. They sent me back an email saying they had a technician look at the pictures and he determined this was normal wear and tear. So I sent them a reply stating that my last two stoves were over 20 years old, the racks were in and out of those stoves many times and all the enamel was still in place when I got rid of the stoves. This was a manufacturer defect and I would like this fixed. The liaison from the CEO then called me and told me the same thing that their reply email stated and again I told her about my last two stoves never having this problem. She then offered me 60% rebate to buy another Electrolux stove because they cant replace the inside of the stove. I told her, No, I want all my money back so I can go and buy a stove that will last. I had read online many people were dissatisfied with their stoves for the very same reason I was complaining. Also the front right burner doesnt light right away, another complaint from others. When it finally decides to light you get a loud fffumm and a huge flame shoots out of the burner. Now, the other day I cleaned my stove and the next morning I opened the oven to wipe the ash out and in the bottom of the oven the ash was rust colored. I thought that was weird but figured it was the grease that had spilled over before I cleaned it, but once I started wiping it out, I noticed the bottom of the oven is actually rusted and pitted all over. This is not normal. As I see it, the enamel is breaking off when the oven is cleaned. The front of the stove where the knobs for the burners, where it tells which burner is for each knob is all worn off. This is a very expensive appliance with shoddy workmanship! Now Electrolux is telling me they will give me 50% back to buy another one of their stoves. I would never spend that kind of money, and this was the most expensive stove in any of the places we looked. I thought I was paying for a good brand, a long time name in the appliance business and would stand by their product. I will never purchase another Electrolux product again.

My Electrolux EIMED60JIWO front load dryer will not start. Serial # 4D10402
My Electrolux EIMED60JIWO front load dryer will not start. Serial # 4D10402611. Purchased May 28, 2011 Hampton, VA. Registered with Electrolux. If I turn the dial to different settings it beeps at each setting, light flashes on and off with the beep. If I try to start, turn the dial, cancel or push any other buttons, it beeps. This has happened 4 times since I purchased the dryer in May 28 of 2011. I believe the last technician said the dryer had to be reset. It will not reset. I tried unplugging, resetting the circuit breaker, factory resetting the dryer by pushing the temperature button and the dryness button simultaneously for 6 seconds. NOTHING. STILL NOT WORKING!!! Of course it is only 4 years old, but out of warranty. They advised that I purchase a 2 year extended warranty for $267.74, and then I have to wait 9 days for the earliest service call. The dryer cost $1100!!! They didnt fix the problem when it was under the original warranty. I am NOT happy with Electrolux. WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX!! They offer a poor product, poor service, and fail to honor the warranty. I expected more out of my Electrolux. Please advise.

We own a high end induction slide-in range that has failed twice, for the same reason, in 6 years. Whenever we have used the self-clean function the oven has remained locked (impossible to open or function). First failure was covered under warranty but the second, for the exact same failure, cost $600 to repair and Electrolux refused to absorb any of the cost. Technician indicated that this is a common failure...probably a design fault. Will never buy another Electrolux product again.

In 2012 we completed a kitchen renovation and outfitted it with 5 new Electrolux Icon Series appliances... all but 1 has been serviced multiple times. The dishwasher was replace twice, we are currently working with our 3rd dishwasher. They upgraded the pump on this generation of dishwasher and it finally works well. Before each replacement we had to endure no less than 5 service calls for each unit! Next item to fail was the fridge. The first part to fail was the ice maker, a service technician replaced it and it worked fine for a few weeks until a crack in the ice tray caused a block of ice to form in the bin. When the auger turned to dispense ice, the block of ice reached up and grabbed a sensor that proceeded to wind itself around the auger. This in turn caused an electrical short that burned out a control board... the fridge went dead, repairs took approximately 2 weeks. Today, January 23, 2015 the sound of a failing compressor in the fridge woke us up several times through the night. Im waiting for the appliance centre to open up so that I can speed dial them and call for a repair. Next in line was the convection wall oven. The control board failed and the display went black... it was repaired but some of the display is not visible. Weve decided to live with it! Right out of the box, the microwave/convection oven would only work in the micro-wave mode. The convection oven would not reach temperature. The service man found a loose connection and for a while it worked well but has recently failed again! When I called for service under the extended warranty program we were told parts for this model are no longer available... The warranty program refunded the purchase price. We now have to choose between living with an partially functioning oven that matches the other appliances or replace it with a new unit that does not match.Fortunately we bought the extended warranty for these appliances and we purchased them through a very supportive appliance company so there was no financial burden to us throughout this whole process but there was a mind-blowing amount of inconvenience! In my opinion this line of appliances is nothing more than an attractive pile of overpriced garbage... Electrolux should have stuck to making vacuum cleaners.

It has just fallen off again and my husband has glued it on. This is not good enough. Never had this problem with any other fridges. One is 35 years old. Do not buy. I purchased 6 Electrolux appliances for my kitchen in 2009 (refrigerator, dual fuel oven, hood, microwave, dishwasher, mini-frig). Since that time they have ALL required repair. The refrigerator and dishwasher re in constant repair. I purchased this top line brand because I didnt want to deal with any problems. I also purchased a warranty on all the appliances because I didnt want to have any problems that would take time from my busy schedule. In the last 2 months I have had the refrigerator stop working (for the 3rd time) and spoil ALL my food. Sears took 4 attempts to fix the problem over the course of 3 week. The following day the dishwasher broke (for the 3rd time), draining 2 feet of water all over my kitchen. After 5 weeks and 3 service appointments - almost 2 weeks between appointments and 2 no shows my dishwasher remains broken and collecting mold. I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux appliance again. These products are complete junk.

I purchased a complete set of electrolux appliances just over 2 years ago. The main control panel on my stove burnt out 3 months after purchase. The ice maker on my refrigerator has been repaired 3 times and is now done for good. I have broken cheap plastic trim on my fridge doors and the handle on my microwave broke off last week. Their customer service department is HORRIBLE. Impossible to work with. After the last issue with our ice maker, the local repairman was instructed by electrolux to pull the fridge away from the wall and check to see if there was any frost on the back of the fridge. You should have seen it. Apparently the model I have, has an insulation problem, which is why the ice maker keeps freezing up and stopping. I was told they were going to replace my fridge with a brand new unit...different model of course. BUT...I was on the hook for the delivery and replacement fee...because I was out of warranty. After 5 phone calls arguing this point...they told me I would not get the fridge...unless I agreed to pay the fee. End of discussion. RIDICULOUS. They sell me a piece of crap and I still have to pay for it. Well...its been 2 months since they promised me a new fridge..and I was forced to agree to pay the $200 delivery fee.......and its still not here. I get weekly phone calls...telling me the same story....still not in stock...but they expect it any day. I will NEVER give Electrolux/Frigidaire another dime of my money. Their stuff is JUNK!!

We purchased an Electrolux French door refrigerator five years ago. It is now dead, as a problem with the ice maker caused the back of the refrigerator to completely rust out. I researched the issue and saw that this has happened dozens or hundreds of times with Electrolux refrigerators. I tried to get some satisfaction from the CEO, Alan Shaw, but he would not take my call, hiding behind a woman named Rita. They did offer me a 25% rebate on a new Electrolux product, but I would think since it is a known problem, and the unit only lasted 5 years, I would get a rebate of 65-75%. I was shocked when Rita told me that Electrolux refrigerators only last for 5-7 years. I don’t think I have ever had a refrigerator last less than 20 years. I have a new slogan for Electrolux - “buy an Electrolux - they only last 1/2 as long as the competition. Obviously, I will never buy another Electrolux product and I would encourage you to avoid them at all costs. They have no interest in customer satisfaction.

We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world. Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children. Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Lets just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

Purchased 10/31/09. Ice maker stopped working 6 mos after purchase. After 9 service calls, it is still not working. After 4 years, Electrolux offered to replace. I wanted a refund or extended warranty which they refused. When I decided to accept the offer, I was told it was no longer available. The freezer door handle is loose. The temp display is disappearing and there is a hole about 1 inch above the interior light where the paint is peeling. I suggest consumers with these problems contact the US Consumer Product Safety Commission at Cpsc.gov to file a report so we can get this unsafe product off the market and possibly get a refund.

The repairman stated the refrigerator was not repairable, he notified Electrolux and stated Electrolux would make good on it. Electrolux offered a 20% rebate on my next Electrolux refrigerator purchase because of the age of my refrigerator. My refrigerator is 5 years old. I will never buy from you again and that includes your Frigidaire brand and I will be sure to let everyone I know and even strangers that you do NOT stand behind your product and are deceptive by not disclosing manufacturer defects to consumers at every opportunity.

DO NOT BUY Electrolux EI32AR65JS (similar to EI32AR80QS and several other model numbers) OR THE COMPANION FREEZER. The cooling system failed on my unit within 6 months. I have been without a fridge for over a month. This is not just a slight risk, but almost a guarantee based on the amount of feedback on the internet. No coverage for lost food. No time limit on how long the repair can take. No extension of the warranty for the repaired unit. Will not even replaced the already hacked up unit unless it fails two more times. I wish they had categories for customer service and quality in this review form. They would both be 0 stars. I am seeking other customer of this product to form a class to take action against Electrolux.

We bought all new Electrolux appliances for our kitchen 4 years ago through Appliance Factory. Within the first year the ice maker quit working. Called Brand Source and they installed an upgrade but it never made ice regularly again. By the way folks, if you have Electrolux Model EW28BS701S1 and you have ice making problems, it will never be fixed. We got used to ice cube trays and bagged ice. I recently called Brand Source for repairs on 3 of my appliances (other stories for another day) and the first thing they did was take $500 to install new mother boards. It made a small amount of ice when the tech left to never make ice again. I called Brand Source again and asked for a different tech. After 15 minutes, he took pictures inside the ice maker, called Electrolux and then told me I would get a new refrigerator. The fingers in the ice maker are defective and they have known it all along. By the time Electrolux contacted me for the fridge swap, I wanted my $500 back. Electrolux said their only concern was to get me a new fridge. I called Brand Source and they basically said it was not their problem because the ice maker was making ice when the tech left the first time. I called Appliance Factory since they were going to be the ones delivering the new fridge and she also said it was not their problem since the fridge would get sent back to Electrolux. I figured I owned the fridge since I owned the $500 mother boards in it and was told I could not keep it. Basically I paid $500 for another refrigerator that would make ice (it was a very expensive refrigerator). The replacement is quite sub par compared to the one I had. It has gray dimple sides and the drawers are cheaply made. My original fridge was all stainless steel and heavy. So far I have ice. What a scam.

We bought Electrolux products in 2008 -- Electrolux Icon dishwasher, oven and stove. In the first year, we had to have the oven fixed twice and the dishwasher fixed as well. The stove never did work right, but the gas company said that they did not know what was wrong with it. 2 burners blow up at you with a poof of fire when turning it on. The store we bought the appliances from were no help. Now 7 years later and our dishwasher rack has rusted out. Of course, Electrolux service is terrible. They dont have any replacement parts for the rack. Now we will have to buy a new dishwasher because our plates dont stay standing. I will NEVER buy Electrolux again. My very expensive ($1,400) Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505 just cost another $311 to fix. This is after replacing the water pump approximately a year ago. It was just over four years old and used only 2-3 times a month. Forget about customer service where they will only tell you that you have to contact one of their service agents in your area. It cost me $75 (trip charge) for a serviceman to come over and make a phone call to Electrolux tech support for the error code which resulted in a needed repair kit. Two weeks later after the repair kit installed, I was charged $118 for the kit, $100 for a second trip charge and $18 for labor. It is not true you get what you pay for in this case. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance.

From day 1 I have had problems with these machines. I had it serviced several times, the service people contacted Electrolux to discuss issues and new parts were put into the dryer and it seemed to help for a while, but now it isnt drying the clothes without extra cycles. The washer is a total wreck. The drum broke and that had to be replaced. It is so loud when it spins, it sounds like an airplane taking off. Then it was the thermostat heating the water to boiling hot on every single load even delicates. Now the front door wont stay closed. I hate, hate, hate these machines. I was just curious if there had been any recalls on these machines? Would appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks.

That was good however now the new one is starting to make a funny noise. If that was not frustrating enough the ice maker continues to not work. They obviously have a problem with this; I continue to see others with the same problem. Tech have been out four times in the year and half we have had the product. Now today the water dispenser stopped working. FRUSTRATING!

Weve had these appliances for about five years now. Weve had major service on the refrigerator at least four times. The ice maker has been replaced twice and is currently not working, the drawer guides on the main drawer in the refrigerator area have had to be replaced and the temp sensor had to be replaced. The spring on the dishwasher door broke off its mounting plate, the door handle broke off of the microwave, and a year later the entire door assembly has fallen apart. They look pretty nice and the dishwasher is quiet, so Ill give them one star but these are just not well-built appliances. Save yourself expense and frustration. Look elsewhere...

Your product broke in less than 1 year and your warranty and replacement policies are a joke. They are designed to rip the consumer off. Its nearly 1 month since it broke down and after 3 techs visits and 3 orders for possible broke new parts, Im still without a washer and Electrolux are sending yes, a 4th tech out with more parts. If this washer ever gets repaired, its probably going to die immediately after those repairs cause the previous repair guys have torn it apart. They even pulled wires out and somehow managed to get them back into the boards.I saw this with my own eyes and I would bet 1 million dollars that those techs damaged those other boards and wired. And of course who will have to pay for those techs mistakes. Yes, thatll be me the customer. Cause they are in the business of selling horrible products without honoring repairs or replacements as they promise. Electrolux and Frigidaire are 2 names that should not be in business. My husband and I own a small business. Our employee scratched our customers brand new stainless steel refrigerator door. I called to order a replacement door panel. Upon receiving the part we installed it and noticed it had a light colored stripe running down the middle of the door that looks different than the rest of the refrigerator. I called customer service back right away. I sent them a picture and they tried to tell me it was like a piece of wood. That no two pieces of wood are alike. Really? How is a piece of wood and a piece of stainless steel the same? This door panel was less than quality and no one would purchase a refrigerator like that in the store. They tried to downplay and undermine the situation, making me feel like I was being unreasonable. All I wanted was to make my customer happy and her to have her refrigerator looking new again. I finally got them to agree to refund the door but they wouldnt send a new panel without receiving the other part back, so I agreed to pay for another one to be shipped. That way our customer wasnt without a fridge door in the meantime. I was told they would contact us in a few days to pick up the defective door. I also asked them to call me directly to handle the return. Instead, they called our customer the very next day and scheduled the pick up for Monday. We hadnt received the second door panel yet so I told them we werent ready to swap them out yet. They proceeded to tell me it was too late to stop the request since they had already sent it through but that UPS would leave us a shipping label. Yesterday was Monday and no shipping label. Today I called them again and they informed me to call UPS. UPS is not even aware of any labels and advised me to contact them again. I have now been told that I will have to pay the shipping plus a restocking fee for a piece of ugly metal that is below what the standard should be for a door on a refrigerator that cost close to $3K. Every single person I have spoken to has given me a different answer. The manager I spoke to tonight was rude and insensitive. They do not care about making the customer happy. They will just take your money and blow you off. It is looking like I may be out the money for the other door panel. I am afraid even if I pay the money to ship it back, they will just come up with another story as to why they cant refund me. Unbelievable! Stay far away from this company!!

I was assisting my sister who had an Electrolux refrigerator that was leaking water at the bottom, in the front. After following the common troubleshooting for this kind of problem, I found that the drain trough was clogged with ice, preventing water from going through the drain tube into the drain pan. To get to the drain trough, I had to take most of the freezer apart-removing the ice maker, removing the housing containing the auger motor and dispenser solenoid, and removing two long metal covers held together by several screws.Whoever designed this flunked out of engineering school. Just to get to the light bulb, you have to remove the ice maker and the housing with the auger motor. What happened to just placing the light bulb socket on the ceiling, as is done with other refrigerator models? Im fairly handy with mechanical work, Ive built my own computers. This model is set up to make the average user have to call a service tech for the simplest repairs. Stay away from Electrolux, the design is just terrible.

I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. My husband purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot a year ago. From the day it was installed, it has given us nothing but problems. If a dishwasher had the power to ruin a persons day, this is the model that would do that. The electronic display never works. Just never works. Push them all day to try to start a load of dishes and you get nothing but beeps. You cannot simply push the type of load and hit start, as most dishwashers allow you to do. Its all computerized and nothing works. When we finally do hit the buttons enough times to get the machine to start, it runs a cycle and the dishes come out the same as they went in - not cleaned at all.Weve called Home Depot... Weve called Electrolux - all to no avail. Electrolux sent out a serviceman who did nothing. They wouldnt accept a return for this horrible machine, yet charged over $1000 for it. The thermometer on the door shows a constant 34 but a thermometer placed on the shelf shows approx 48 depending on the location in the fridge. Then randomly every couple months or so the high temp alarm will go off and the fridge gets warm. Technicians have replaced control boards and tested everything but cannot figure it out. I did a kitchen reno 3 years ago and through lots of contemplation on which manufacturer to purchase our appliance package from, we chose Electrolux. We purchase the wave technology fridge and Induction stove. We could not have purchase any higher end of a product from Sears other than the GE Profile package, but they did not release an induction cooktop at the time. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! The stove has had several service calls as one of the burners has no heating intensity. The service people that have been coming out have no clue what they are doing and cannot fix the stove. They basically say it is normal. Still working on that problem to get it rectified. We also noticed our laminate floor was swelling a few weeks ago and after investigating the possible cause, I pulled out the fridge and sure enough the floor was all damaged and stained with rust. I had Sears service come to investigate and the end result is it cannot be repaired as it has a manufacturing defect. Seems that Electrolux just happened to not design the fridge with any insulation at the back of the fridge. WOW! I purchased the Extended warranty from Sears due to the cost of these High End appliance and the high cost to purchase.Well that fell flat on support. Sears has offered a credit of $1170.00 toward a purchase of a new replacement fridge as my compensation for the NO Lemon policy on the warranty. Not happy with this result, I contacted Electrolux customer service and asked to speak with a Manager. I was bluntly told that there was no further person to talk to and that Electrolux does not care about any issues after the initial year is over and it will be impossible to expect any input or assistance to replace the fridge that was improperly designed and built! Unbelievable... I am now going to be financially burdened with a $3000 plus cost out of pocket!! What a kick in the teeth after thinking if I purchased High End (JOKE) product, it would pay off.It is looking like I will have to replace my fridge and will now have mismatched appliances in my kitchen, especially since it will not be an Electrolux product. That would be a cold day in Hell!!! I cannot believe what Electrolux is pulling off here. I would be willing to start a class action lawsuit if we could group enough people together to fight this company for selling Improperly manufactured product and not owning up to it.

The supervisor then informs me that I will be charged for the service call since the racks that hold the plates vertical are considered cosmetic and not functional and therefore not covered? Really? For the first year, refrigerator worked well. Then ice maker began filling to capacity every twelve hours. It had to be emptied every night before bed or it banged all night. Called Electrolux and told out of warranty. They offered to send qualified repairman for four hundred dollar fee (parts not included). Have a whole house warranty and they sent a repairman who replaced a circuit. Ice maker worked for two days, then started making malformed ice cubes. Another repairman sent who replaced entire ice maker. It worked perfectly for six months. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Told by Electrolux to replace both air and water filters which I did wasting about a hundred dollars. After two weeks, it miraculously started making ice. Then after one month IT STOPPED. I changed the filters again because the control panel said they needed to be changed. Wasted another hundred dollars. Followed every suggestion in manual and finally got seven ice cubes (half melted and in a block). Emptied them out, replaced ice drawer and a few hours later got one malformed cube and water leaking all over the inside of the refrigerator and the floor. Cleaned up the mess and stood in front of the dispenser door to keep an eye on the devil. It cycles after taking water for a drink or when it goes through the regular cycle and then leaks a half cup of water from dispenser tube which I have now equipped with a plastic Chinese soup container. Once again, I must be sure to empty it before I go to bed. I hate that refrigerator and the company that spawned it. Like others, I waited until I was older, retired and handicapped to fulfill my dream of the perfect kitchen appliance. THANK GOD, I DIDNT BUY THE STOVE!

The refrigerator hasn’t been working for 11 months and now Electrolux has offered a 25% discount on a replacement when this unit is not even 3 years old! Will not purchase Electrolux again and have spent 10 days off work for technical support to fix something non-fixable! Electrolux doesn’t stand by their products!

My Electrolux double wall ovens - I keep getting an F11 error code. Call electrolux... They are just out of warranty. Apparently it is a $530. part, another $200 plus for the repairman. Diagnosis is vague. This is a you should start by replacing this situation. Unacceptable. We should be able to expect a reasonable problem-free lifespan for these major purchases. Its used twice a week (regularly) and intensely used twice a year (for the usual special occasions). This company doesnt even have a website where you can at least do some of the information-gathering yourself. And the script of the service desk is... We are anxious to please our customers. Can I call you by your first name? I will try to put you in touch with someone who can help you.... And I hope you are satisfied with the answers you received today. Nothing technical. No solution. In short ZERO service. When the repairman contacted Electrolux (from our home), they read what the error code said off a script and didnt ask any other symptoms. That did not give either of us any confidence as they they did say to start with that repair and see if it works. START with a $700 plus repair AND SEE IF THAT WORKS??? These were $3600 ovens, and they are 15 mos old. Completely unacceptable. My fight has started.....

Is there a zero star rating? I am extremely dissatisfied in my Electrolux refrigerator. It is just over two years old and have had to have the main computer board replaced (twice) and the evaporator fan to the tune of $1,000! This should be under warranty for a minimum of 3-5 years for these major parts. Model Number is E23BC68JPS5. It is ridiculous to spend an additional $1K on this appliance given I already spent over 3K to purchase it not long ago.

I wanted a plain basic stainless fridge but a friend was getting rid of this Electrolux so I bought it. The red high temp light is on continuously, the woman at customer service, who was very nice, told me to turn breaker off to hard reset it. Now I have the power failure light on also! Especially now after reading all this feedback, I wish I would have settled on the Whirlpool I originally intended to buy.

As part of a luxury kitchen renovation we chose Electrolux appliances. Built in refrigerator with matching built in freeze, double ovens and induction cooktop. The freezer broke within the first year and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to service it. Electrolux would not stand behind their product and while waiting for parts it just started working again. We lost all our food twice. Its worked since then but often freezes up inside and often has a huge amount of condensate on the exterior. Similar issues with the fridge. They replaced the gasket on the door which did not make a difference other than now I have a gasket that isnt fully attached. Most recently the induction top died. Three weeks to get a service tech here and it is going to cost $ 1,100 to fix a three year old cooktop. I will never buy this brand again and as a leading remodeling contractor in two states, I will not let me clients buy Electrolux either. No help from Electrolux or the dealer.

Not even a month later the dishwasher had to be repaired (circulatory pump) and then January 2019 the refrigerator broke down (blockage in the evaporator coils). After having two different repair man come I was told the unit cannot be fixed and I will need a new one. We are now March 8 and Im still waiting for the new refrigerator! Ive lost track of how many phone calls Ive made to the company and also several emails. This has been very frustrating.

I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered to me on March 2. Before the delivery guy brought the fridge in he informed me that the fridge was dented and if I wanted a new one I would have to wait another week without a fridge and with a small child that was out of the question. So I decided to call Electrolux to see if I could be compensated for the fridge. I talked with ** and she told me without pictures I could have $40 off the fridge, I took pictures of both sides of the fridge and did not hear back from her. I called the next day and spoke with ** and he said I guess we can give you $60 off. I was upset with the rude comment and said that I was still unhappy and he said well what are you expecting? I was not expecting anything but would have liked to be acknowledged that what I bought was not what I received. He told me he would talk to a manager and call me back the next day, I called and spoke with him again and he said I guess we can give you the $100 off. I was very upset by the way I was being treated and said that I would just prefer to have a new fridge sent since that is what I paid for. His response was oh so now youve changed your mind, we will deliver, then hung up on me. I got no apology for the situation or any details about when the new fridge would be delivered. I am astounded by the horrible customer service this company hires. I called back after being rudely hung up on and he refused to pass me on to a manager. I called back several times after this trying to speak with a manager and not one person would help me. It is now March 20 and after going to home depot in person I got the first apology for my situation and the man working there was amazing and threatened to call head office if my issue was not resolved. Turns out ** did not give my phone number to the delivery company. Appalling, dont use this company, its not worth it

I set the fridge to 33 and Im lucky to get 37 with doors closed for 12hrs, Electroluxs response was well if you set to 33 and get 36.5 it is fine. So now I am waiting for them to send me my 3rd refrig. I hope it comes soon before my wood kitchen floor buckles from all the water that leaks out plus water is leaking inside the unit. The back of the refrig is oil canned, I can hear water dripping 24/7. My previous cheap brand refrig I had for 18 years never 1 problem. I hope this new one is the keeper.

Purchased an Electrolux refrigerator in June of 2011. I did not bother with an extended warranty. From my past experiences with refrigerators, I figured that I should at least get about 7 or 8 years of use at the minimum.Three months later, while opening the refrigerator, the handle came off in my hand. It actually broke where it connected to the screws on the door. At the time, I had other issues that were deemed more important, so I did not bother with having it repaired. The following summer, I noticed that on very hot or humid days, the refrigerator did not get as cold as it normally functioned. That would last for several days and then miraculously it would return to the normal set temperature. This continued to occur this summer also. From day one, I always said that the refrigerator was loud. Everyday, especially at night when things are quieter, I hear an intermittent popping sound. It is 1:00 AM in the morning, and I just read several reviews on this site. When I woke up yesterday morning, the refrigerator, as well as, my food, were warm. I thought, how in the world can a 2-year-old refrigerator stop working. Granted, that I only paid around 500 plus dollars, I felt I was buying a reliable product since it was a sub-brand of Frigidaire which was the name of my washer/dryer set that I had for 13 years without any problems. At this very moment, the refrigerator is making a very loud humming sound. Earlier I had to transfer food to my deep freezer. I am not happy. I decided to find out if there were any complaints on this product (hindsight) to determine what my next step would be. Well, I have decided to purchase another refrigerator (a well known name brand) and not even bother with a repair service due to the numerous complaints I have read. I refuse to take out the time to experience repeated repairs! Sales representatives will say anything to get you to buy a product. If I have learned anything, it is to research before hand when purchasing sub-brand appliances, regardless of the manufacturer. I will not own another ELECTROLUX product EVER!

Purchased a pair of top of model laundry machine (EWFLS70JSS and EWMGD70JSS for 2900). Gasket was lumpy, color between the two unit was not matching. Dealer told me to contact manufacturer as the issue is caused during manufacturing process. Indeed, its obvious that something went wrong in the factory as model numbers were correct. Contacted Electrolux multiple times and they only agreed to exchange the rubber gasket. The color issue is cosmetic and theyre not responsible for it. Neither dealer nor manufacturer took ownership and each time I get the pass the buck response. Electrolux does not stand behind its defective products, only because it wasnt a functional issue. Im at a substantial loss right now, I paid full price to get lemons. Electrolux offers no help or support to customers. Because of this issue I had to waste numerous hours with customer service and issue still unresolved. The company is not even inclined to assist. Whats even more disappointing is that Electrolux has incomplete record of services. A technician came to diagnose the problems and agreed with the issues with the gasket and color differences. Now the gasket problem is related to the washer, but the service record stated that the repairer came in for the dryer. I will need to take another few days off from work for another diagnostic visit and then subsequent repairs. Electrolux doesnt recognize that the issue started with their manufacturing and had the laundry pair that I got been perfect I couldnt have saved many hours of time on the phone with them and I didnt have to forgo my income to stay home for their repair. Its very obvious that Electrolux doesnt care about us consumers as long as they make the sales. Avoid this brand, you dont get what you paid for. I completely lost confidence in this brand. I know it sounds ridiculous what happened to me, but I want to share my experience with other consumers and hopefully help them make an informed purchase decision.

We built our dream house in late 2013. We purchased a washer, dryer, refrigerator, double oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher and an under counter ice maker. All ELECTROLUX. The washer is full of mold, the oven cooks unevenly, my refrigerator ice maker is unreliable - having its own mind and only sporadically makes ice. At one point after several months of use it dispensed pieces of styrofoam along with ice cubes. Have already replaced the dishwasher due to excessive service calls and mold. The latest slap in the face was my under counter ice maker just stopped working. Called Electrolux. They sent a repair person out - the service call was $145.00 - it was a crack in the propeller on the circulation pump. To replace, the estimate was about $800. It was only used a handful of times, mostly during the holidays. It will be on the curb for trash day. Electrolux products are horrible and so is their customer service department.

My Electrolux refrigerator came with my new builders home - I wanted GE Profile, but settled for Electrolux. The refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. The freezer side and the water dispenser, have been worked on many times. The freezer freezes up with crystals, water continues to drip from the dispenser and they have repaired it four (4) times without success. I have asked for a more seasoned professional to come and handle the repair however I just keep getting the same old, same old person who always comes (yes, the one who put the door heater in upside down!!!). Be cautious when you are considering purchasing an Electrolux product - GE Profile cant be beat, even though it might cost a little more. The Electrolux customer service treats people like they are the judge and we are the condemned. Their service times is ancient - 8AM-5PM of all things. Who does that anymore??? Ive spend five days home waiting for them and Im tired of it now. I urge you to look around, check on the customer service, read reviews, do your homework before purchasing.

I am writing for my mother. She was using an Electrolux microwave on Tuesday night and it caught fire. Fire department stated it was electrical. She is elderly with major health problems. She attempted to put the fire out; however, unable to contain the fire she called 911. Luckily, she made it out of the house, although she was not able to normally without help. She is currently staying with us. I cannot believe the extent of the damage in her house. She is displaced for two months until it is rebuilt/cleaned. The emotional turmoil she has been through (and us) has been tremendous. I am losing pay meeting with the contractors, etc. She is unable to return due to a lung condition she has until all the damage has been repaired. I will be pursuing damages and I am not a person to complain about lifes unfortunate circumstances. However, this is beyond stressful (she also just lost her husband). Hopefully this situation will be resolved.

Units are made in Mexico and are poorly tested, made and stood behind by Frigidaire who warranties this 23 sq ft stainless unit for 1 year. You can get an extended 3 year warranty called a Platinum star warranty as an option. Little faith it might last one year as we see it. Numerous complaints are on the web primarily centering around the a ice maker. We are on # 3 ice maker in 6 years since purchase. Customer service in Ga. was a TOTAL waste of time and we were advised no recalls or bulletins had been issued on any model. Wished you could have heard their lack of concern. We guess after waiting over 30 min. for an agent, most people would have bailed on the call and we called first thing in the morning. Keeps the complaints down if you cant wait an hour to get help. In addition to the ice maker, we now have a ce code alert on the front led panel and no lights in the unit. After shelling out 3 service calls for this fine work of refrigeration- this will be our last, The repair is scheduled in 12 hours and it will be sold.We called our place of purchase Goedekers in St. Louis and discussed our displeasure to the owner whose sales people pitched this as a great deal for $3500 in 2000. The sales people placed it in the category of Sub Zero, Wolf, and Viking. Goedekers were asked today to have the local or regional rep. contact us but they doubted we would hear from them so now we are warning all consumers. We are on city water and when the unit was installed-GOEDEKERS ran the water line. To replace it if that contributes to our issues- the current repair people now say I need an additional plumber charge to re-install it. More charges to remedy a piece of crap that had little testing on it before it was placed in the market place. Craigs list will be seeing this soon- we pity the buyer but will just say we are going with another brand and this runs fine now. It is true Electrolux sucks - in vacuums and now refrigerators. DO NOT BUY ANY MODEL OR YOU WILL SUFFER BADLY. Our model is: EW23CS65GS1. You have been warned.

My 15 year old machine packed up just before Christmas. Given that my sons family of 5 were to stay with me for 2 weeks of the holidays, I decided to buy a new machine rather than have the old one fixed. Nowadays its difficult to check machines out in showrooms, so looking online, I ordered an Electrolux front loader from Home Depot. Free installation and theyd remove the old machine at no cost. Great. Id get it taken care of before the family arrived. The machine worked for the first couple of times, but after a few days, stopped spinning. By this time, Home Depot had washed their hands of me because it was beyond their 48 hour return policy. I contacted Electrolux to request either a new machine, or my money back. They insisted on sending out a technician, who, called the support department to be informed the office was closed for the holidays.I contacted Electrolux again who said theyd send out another technician. I explained that I didnt want a 2 week old machine repaired, I either wanted a new one or my money back. Of course, this wont happen and I have to have another technician review the machine. I have now been waiting for this to happen, and calls to the support department go unanswered. In the meantime, I am becoming very familiar with my local laundromat, and so far have spent at least $100 on using their machines. Now my family has left, I have 6 lots of bedding waiting to be laundered. I cannot believe Im in this situation. I dont know where to turn to next. I think I have been treated despicably and dont feel very good about it.

I have had an ongoing issue with the ice maker nearly since I purchased the product 4 years ago. I have paid for numerous Electrolux referred service companies to come out and try to resolve the issues. They have replaced the ice making unit. They have placed massive amounts of silicon around the unit. The lines keep freezing and now, the back of the refrigerator creates blocks of ice causing massive amounts of rust. From past posts, it appears I am not alone in this situation. Electrolux has completely blown me off telling me to call their service providers. The service providers quoted me $175 service call and additional for parts and labor. Electrolux is not taking responsibility for selling me a lemon of a refrigerator. This is past the point of any repair. I have proof of this refrigerator is a lemon since the beginning but after spending thousands on the refrigerator and in repairs. This should be deemed a lemon.

In April of 2015 we purchased a new home from a builder. The builder had Electrolux appliances installed so we went with what they had not knowing what a nightmare that would be! The first visit from a repair company happened within 60 days of being in our home. They ended up removing the refrigerator and giving us a new one because the fridge had a bent frame! The second refrigerator is still in our home and I have had to call and have 2 more service calls. Now, we are dealing with an ice maker that isnt working properly so we have ice building up on the back wall of our refrigerator which pushes the drawers out of their slides. We are now waiting for parts that are on backorder so our repair can be done. No worries, I can keep chipping ice off of the back of my brand new fridge! When you call Electrolux for a repair you end up speaking to people who never give you the same information about how or when the service appointment will happen. Their customer service is a mess and the real joke is that they ask you when you are finished setting up another appointment if you would like to take a survey to tell them how they are doing! Ha! Electrolux products, service and service providers stink and as a company they should be ashamed of themselves for making such crap products and charging so much for them! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for appliances. I mean really, how many days do you want to sit home from 8am-1pm or 1pm to 5pm waiting for repair work to be done? Lifes too short for that!

I bought Electrolux dishwasher, range, and refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes in Marble Falls, TX. The dishwasher was damaged when arrived, then not installed properly. After several attempts to get Lowes to replace it, and then several more phone calls with Electrolux, I finally had a new one installed. It always leaked, and I could get no one to take responsibility. It was the worst dishwasher I ever had, so I finally replaced it with a KitchenAid, which I love. The refrigerator is terrible! The filters need replacing all the time, the crisper freezes my lettuce, even on the warmest setting, so I can only use the right half of the drawer. The same is true for the cheese drawer. The ice and water dispenser do not shut off every time, which makes a huge mess on the floor. Came home last night from vacation, the CE alarm was going off, and everything in the refrigerator and freezer was ruined. Again, Electrolux will do NOTHING! I guess I will also throw the refrigerator out and replace it with a KitchenAid.

We purchased the oven from Lowes in 2012. It did not work from the start. Lowes refused to cover it and so did Electrolux claiming it was a 2008 model so not covered. After a hassle, they replaced the circuit board under an extended warranty plan. It then turned on but the temperature is totally random. It shuts off and on at will. According to the service people if the repairman says it cant be fixed we will get our money refunded. They seem confused about why no one will repair it. Based on our dealings so far and a little inside info about our local Lowes, I suspect it was already returned as not repairable and Lowes sold it to us anyway as a floor model. Do floor models usually not work? It is the worst appliance of any brand or any type that I have ever owned in forty years of buying appliances. Even if it did work, it is not user friendly or intuitive. You have to touch about six different buttons in the correct order just to bake at 350. My first scratch and dent with two knobs worked better. We bought it because it was supposed to replace all those appliances sitting on the counter, slow cooker, bread machine, etc. but it wont even just bake a freaking pot pie. I am grouchy because I have been trying for two hours and my blood sugar is really low.

Buyer beware.

Hi. I would never ever recommend to buy products from them. I had the worst experience with them by purchasing Frigidaire washer dryer unit. Had motherboard problems after 2 weeks of purchase. Called customer care atleast 10 times and no one is bothered and they just keep saying we have ordered parts and waiting and waiting... To put it short I did a BIG mistake buying frigidiare product. Never ever buy their products.

We purchased our Electrolux French door refrigerator (model EW28BS85KS5) 2.
We purchased our Electrolux French door refrigerator (model EW28BS85KS5) 2.5 years ago. Within days of delivery the freezer door would not stay closed, contacted Electrolux and the service company. They recommended twisted the door to get it to close and said it was repaired. Few days later door is back to opening on its own. Another company was sent out who fixed the door. All the plastic around the doors is cracking off now. Electrolux is sorry. Now both ice makers have stopped working. The top ice maker seemed to jam so my husband reached in to clear the ice and received a shock. I called and talked to Jennifer ** the Corporate Supervisor and she advised me only parts are covered. She understands how I feel but I will need to contact 1 of 2 authorized service centers for the repair of the ice makers. Very dissatisfied, Do not buy Electrolux products. My old refrigerator looked new compared to this one and it was 20 years old.

These are the worst appliances I have owned. I purchased a Dishwasher, Gas Range and French Door Refrigerator. The Refrigerator was replaced after one year because the Ice Maker never worked after being repaired several times (including once where Electrolux told the repair tech to push the sides of the fridge next to the ice maker). After 5 repairs to a leaky dishwasher (Electrolux knew about this one) besides damaging the cabinets, it still doesnt clean properly (you have to wash dishes before putting them in the dishwasher). The Range started to emit a gas smell when it was working. This was repaired and lasted two weeks before starting again. Now I am waiting for the part which may or may not fix both the gas smell and get the oven to actually work. Do not even consider these appliances. Electrolux knows they are defective but will not do anything about it. The glorious reviews online are not what they seem. I have had Whirlpool appliances, GE Profile appliances and now Electrolux. On a star rating for Electrolux, I would give it a one because there are no negative ratings.

After having replaced my LG washer with the Electrolux Luxcare Washer in ea
After having replaced my LG washer with the Electrolux Luxcare Washer in early January, I was so pleased that I immediately ordered the matching Electrolux dryer. I could not be more pleased! I have not experienced any negative issues. I am a strong believer in Electrolux products as I have an Electrolux dish washer & refrigerator. My clothes are cleaner than ever and the dryer does not wrinkle my clothes! I love the light in the dryer too.

I purchased a Frigidaire Fridge through Sears in August of 2015. I chose Sears because we have one locally and I heard they had excellent customer service. Within a few months of purchasing the fridge the door handles were loose and the water/ice system was not working. I called Sears but was directed to Transglobal. A technician was called and the problem was fixed. A few months later... another issue. At this point I asked if I could have fridge replaced as I felt it was a lemon. Transglobal said I needed 3 documented repairs within my warranty period. Lo and behold last week (20 months into owning the fridge) the compressor stopped working. My family is stranded with no fridge. I had to pay for a service call directed by Transglobal for the technician to tell me the compressor part alone costs 700$ plus 2 hours of labour. Transglobal contacted Electrolux to see if they would replace the cost of the part at the very least and possibly the whole unit as it has been a lemon. Electrolux denied me any support with repair or replacement. I called into Electrolux and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that I had to call back at 5:30 pm. Basically, he told me I could call back and send an email but he couldnt do anything for me. I said goodbye, and called back. This time I got a new person who was surprisingly helpful. He asked my name and said that Transglobal had not sent in the service reports for my fridge. He then requested the service reports and said he would get back to me. I am still waiting and Im hopeful this can be resolved. There are so many issues here... Firstly, the product, secondly the sideways way of getting support, thirdly the various skill levels in customer support. I have spoken to 8 people at both Electrolux and Transglobal and 3 have been helpful. Thats less than 40% success in dealing with customers.

In the first few months during which I purchased a brand new dishwasher, it began spilling out water, flooding my entire kitchen. I have had repair people service it 4 times already and still the problem persists. I called Electrolux and complained this issue is causing damage to my house. It is very inconvenient to keep changing my schedule to wait for the repair person and we have no confidence at all in putting the unit on as we fear it will flood the house. They told me that the only thing that they could do is to keep sending the repair person, as per the terms of the contract. So I am stuck with a clearly defective, faulty appliance that Electrolux continues to deny to be broken. I have scheduled a 5th visit, but judging by historical performance, I am not holding my breath.

I bought Refrigerator and Freezer twins at Max Center on 13-02-11, both with one-year warranties. Upon installation by Electrolux technicians the next day, the freezer had a thumping sound and ice formations inside the door. We called the technicians who came several times, made some installations on the door, but never resolved the problems. Lately, Electrolux does not answer our calls, and we are unable to have this problem corrected, or receive a new freezer. The freezer has an air leak which has not been corrected and Electrolux has offered no new solution or help.
