So far so good. Had the fridge about a month and we love it. It was noisy the first couple of weeks and settled down quite nicely. Took a few days to fill up ice maker which had me concerned at first. Now if we use a lot of ice it is back to full by morning. Love the lighting and the flush water dispenser. My husband uses it to fill keurig water container.

Whatever you do stay away from DCS. We purchased a DCS 6 burner Range-top, fridge, and wall oven in November 2014. No problem with anything until second batch of Christmas cookies a week before Christmas when the oven temp dropped to 140. Repairman said we needed a micro temp limiter and another limiter. He said he could probably fix it before Christmas if he could get the parts. Having selected DCS because of offices and warehouse in California we thought we were going to be roasting turkey and baking rolls for a big family Christmas dinner... Not exactly. Sometime last Fall the Fisher and Paykel brain trust closed all their US warehouses and all phone calls for customer service are now routed to New Zealand. The Kiwis working the phones in Wellington are useless. They can tell us they know the parts have been ordered but they dont have them in stock and they cannot tell us when they will be available to ship to the US. Weve been without the wall oven for a month now. Crossing our fingers that the fridge and range-top keep working.

F&P product quality has bottomed out. Our first set of Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer worked very well. We sold them with the house in FL. We relocated to TN and purchased the newer model washer and dryer, and sorry to say, will never purchase another F&P product again. The DEGX1 dryer has broken down multiple times (no heat or taking hours to dry a load of clothes). The lint trap is extremely inefficient. We have had to repair the dryer and put out money when we could barely buy food. The washer that we purchased at the same time does not effectively wash clothes and they have to be rewashed. We are so disappointed and angry that we put so much money. Talk about sorry workmanship!

We have a 5 yr old Fisher Paykel AquaSmart washer. I was washing a load of laundry and the washing machine just stopped! I cant get anything to work. There is a load of laundry and a boat load of water in the tub! I called a repair guy but have not heard anything back yet to set up anything. Meanwhile, my husband is wringing out clothes by hand and using a bucket to get the water out of the washer so it doesnt start to smell. How can I find a repair guy that really knows about this washer? We are not very happy campers right now.

My Fisher & Paykel Washer failed to pump out water or complete a spin cycle. The technician from the store that we bought it from, determined that the pump was not operating and needed to be replaced. This company no longer carries Fisher& Paykel products mainly because it continues to change replacement parts, and have poor support in receiving parts. He did contact the Service Dept. for F&K and was able to find the part number needed for the pump. My wife had to contact them to order and pay for the part. After receiving the shippings tracking number and date of delivery, it became a waiting game. When the package did not arrive on the expected date, my wife contacted the customer service personnel and initially was informed that they could not find the order; then determined that the order did not ship because an additional part was required for the pump. As luck would have it, this part was not in California but was located somewhere in Kentucky.By and large, someone took it upon himself to cancel the order, but failed to inform us of the situation. My wife now had to get the correct information, order the part, trust the so-called experts to credit our charge account, and play the waiting game. Mind you, 2 weeks has lapsed since this process began. When the much awaited part arrived, we had to wait another 4 days for the service tech to install it. Today when I arrived home from work, I found my wife in tears and on the verge of a mental breakdown. The part was installed and when the tech ran a cycle through the machine with a load of clothes in it, it failed to pump the water out again. To make a long story short, when he talked to a tech at F&P, he was informed that a change made to their parts required that the motherboard also needs to be replaced at the time a new part was installed. Now we are talking an additional $190 for the part and $25 for shipping and handling. The total cost with parts already received was $357. NFW are we going to continue to pump money in to this money pit. To fix this problem, we have ordered a new washing machine but it is not an F&K product.Never again will we waste good money on any product by F&P. Not only will we no longer support the products of this company, we will seek out every opportunity to express our dissatisfaction and terrible experience to anyone that will listen. This is the worst buying and service after the sale experience that we have ever encountered. I can only hope that F&Ps competition will eventually drive them out of business.

I surprised my wife with a brand-new Fisher Paykel double-drawer dishwasher because I got tired of cleaning and servicing her old one. They are not inexpensive. Within one month, the start button receded into the chassis. The service person found that the lighted collar around the start button was made of cheap plastic and had simply broken making the machine inoperable. I would think for the amount of money that durn machine cost, they could afford to at least make the plastic parts durable enough to last more than a month.

You can feel comfortable setting the temperature, spin cycle, etc. according to the booklet that comes with it and you have TONS of sensors that determine if anything unusual is being laundered. If so, the units automatically reset to take care of things. Both the washer & dryer open on top. These are manufactured in Sweden. While a little pricey, they last without any service calls for a very long time and are extremely reliable. The dryer filter is super easy to remove and clean, so it’s no trouble to clean after each load.

As the technician was packing up to leave, after his or anothers fourth visit in 6 weeks, I asked where his suitcase was. Suitcase? Yes, I said. You might as well stay here because when this oven goes out within a week or so, as before, you will be here ready to fix it. We rarely cook or use the oven but mystery of mysteries when the first part went out then there was a second and a third part strangely out of order. All within a very short period of time. One replacement part never did work. Bad enough waiting on hold for the New Zealand customer service department and being told there was no record of past service calls. Dont bother trying to explain or negotiate a free service call or part replacement cause it aint gonna happen. NOT A HAPPY EXPERIENCE.

On 10-3-09 we purchased the FP HE model #WL37126KW2, serial #NYU790706. In October 2012 we noticed dark dirty streaks on our clothes. Some clothing never did come clean. Dark clothes appear to have white streaks like large amounts of soap havent been removed. Ive tried different detergents and numerous cleaning cycles. Thank the dear Lord we purchased the extended warranty! Since October 2012 weve had 7 repairmen and 3 parts replaced. The last repair was on Wednesday, 4-17-13. The 2nd load of clothing came out exactly like it did the very first time in October. Are you kidding me!Now another repairman on 4-26-13 and then Im assuming another part. I have no idea what part hasnt been replaced! After 4 new replacement parts and still having the problems, we will get a gift certificate from Lowes for a replacement. You can bet it wont be FP! Ive spoken to FP directly, Lowes and the warranty company numerous times. I am totally fed up with this whole situation. I will never buy another FP. No good reviews will come from my mouth for FP!

The first time I heard about F&P was when we lived in Charlotte… Guess I heard it advertised. And then the company that we always did business with, Plaza Appliance, were the ones that started carrying them in Charlotte. Actually, our appliance repairman recommended them because he said they’re so easy to fix and dependable and everything and they really did turn out to be true…We had to shop for new appliances because when we moved out of Charlotte the people who bought our house wanted our appliances so we couldn’t take them with us and the first thing we bought from F&P was a washer in 2004 (almost 10 years old). Then in 2008 we purchased a dishwasher. It’s just a little bit different… I got the two-drawer dishwasher and the top drawer is a little deeper. They were equal on the other one we had. But oh, I love the drawers! I heard that they were actually making them for other high-end companies. But I don’t know if they’re still doing it, but when they first came out, I think they premiered the double drawer. Lastly, back in May, we bought a dryer because our old Kenmore after 39 years died. People didn’t think I’d get that out of a Fisher & Paykel, but you never know… I really didn’t consider buying anything else other than F&P since we’ve already had these for such a long time. As far as what I’ve had in the past, we tended to keep things a long, long time until they just died. So we absolutely love the washer and never had a minute’s trouble; the dishwasher was 5 years old and we never had a minute’s trouble. And so, hopefully, it will continue to be that way…

New dishwasher in 5-5-2015. June, guess what E9-04 fault, dishwasher out again. This unit has been out of order longer than it has been OK. I was contacted by a Fisher & Paykel customer service representative who read my complaint. She explained to me that all I needed was a copy of my receipt and she would see what could be done to take care of my problem. I knew I purchased my dryer at Lowe’s so I thought that I would be able to call them to get a copy. Well, that didnt work out quite like I thought. Lowe’s on the back end couldnt find my receipt so I thought I was out of luck. The Fisher & Paykel representative said not to worry, just give me the make and model number and we would go about this a different way. So I did. Fisher & Paykel set up an appointment with a service tech who got the part I needed and came out and installed it. My dryer is now working and my wife is happy. Now that my wife is happy, Im happy. Thanks, Fisher & Paykel, for standing behind your product. To all those who are complaining: it’s not what happens that matters, it’s how the company responds to the problem!

I bought a Fisher and Paykel refrigerator. It was one of the few fridges that had the right size dimensions to fit in my kitchen. In terms of performance, there are some good things about it and there are some things I’ve been disappointed about it. I like the quality of the shelving, that it’s glass and that there’s metal on the doors. The fan inside the refrigerator is a little loud, that’s one of my complaints. The other complaint is that it doesn’t make very much place and I wish the freezer was a little larger. It’s kind of funny, sort of V shaped. Because of that, it doesnt hold as much as it could than if it was more like a traditional square shape. This F&P refrigerator did not meet my expectations considering the price.

For 3 months I have been trying to buy a replacement water filter for my fisher & paykel fridge freezer - on line it tells me they are out of stock and to phone. On the phone I get confirmation that they are out of stock and given no confirmed date of availability. I am told to order and I will be emailed when they arrive - but remember they cannot tell me when that will be. Today I have ordered 2 at the whopping cost of £98 but have been warned that there are many orders ahead of mine as there is a huge demand for them and so I will have to wait my turn. The filter is an integral part of the function of my particular machine - so why is it impossible to pick up the phone or go online and order a filter and get one immediately? How hard can it be to stock enough to meet demand? We are talking about a simple water filter here - nothing more but for reasons best known to themselves - they will not maintain a sufficient quantity for its customers. Do I smell a rat here? Is there an agenda I wonder? Hundreds of customers are having to pay in advance for their expensive water filters to ensure that they receive them in the designated time stipulated by Fisher & Paykel. Frankly had I known I would not have bought from this company and certainly will not again.

We went to Gorsuch Appliance in Canton and they were telling us about the Fisher & Paykel. My Maytag washer died after 18 years so I switched to the Fisher & Paykel on their recommendation. What sold me on the product was the no agitator thing and that it weighed the load. Also because Maytag is not what it used to be. I like the washer. Compared to what my other one was, its slow and I thought these new washers were faster. It takes a little longer, but I can get more clothes in. Thats a big plus. And Ive only had one time where it was off balanced and that was the first time that I washed sheets and I didnt read the instructions properly.

I have a 10 year old 48” range, priced at approx 8k+. About two years ago, I had to replace all of the interior shelves, at my cost, because they had rusted so badly they would no longer pull out. This year, all of the plastic on the front knobs have puckered and bubbled off, presumably from the heat of the door being opened when the range is on. Customer service has basically said oh well, and has refused to replace the knobs. After replacing all the shelving I certainly won’t pay for new knobs too. The customer service in New Zealand is certainly not what we are used to in the U.S. For the price of this range, they should stand behind their products unconditionally. As I told them, I have had KitchenAid ranges last longer with no problems. So, bottom line, if you are looking for a range with all the bells and whistles, be sure to go for a U.S. company! Oh, and the range has never kept accurate temperatures to boot!

After a great deal of research, I learned this refrigerator has the least depth of any other on the market that includes a water dispenser. This is due in part to the fact the ice maker is not contained on the door; the icemaker is contained in the bottom freezer. Yes, you have to scoop out the ice manually, but the depth space savings is worth the trade, and the chilled water dispensed doesn't require ice. Although I initially thought it pricy for a refrigerator, it was my only option for the space in my kitchen. I ordered it on a Sunday evening and it was in my kitchen Wednesday afternoon. I love this stylish and sleek refrigerator!!! While 17 cubic feet may seem small, it is an ideal size for most families. In most cases, the items stored in the back of a refrigerator are forgotten or the space isn't really used anyway. There is so much shelf space that I was able to get more in this refrigerator than my previous larger unit. I was surprised to find that the water filter is not contained within the unit. The filter holder mounts to the wall, or, in my case, an adjacent cabinet, and just the water line attaches to the unit. This perhaps goes with the philosophy of no wasted space in the unit. I opted for a three year extended warranty for just over $100, but I am optimistic I won't need it. I'll update this rating if I have problems with the unit, but so far I have absolutely no regrets.

I purchased a new F&P washer to replace the old one that I have. After delivery and hook up, I found that once you put the clothes into the machine and started the washer, the lid locked until the end of the cycle. I am not able to open the lid without turning off the wash cycle. In the old machine, the lid locked when the spin cycle was on. Now, I am unable to see what the washer is doing or how much it is filling. I called the customer care department to find out what could be done to override this feature during the fill and rinse cycle and an answer from a supervisor, named Bernice, is that I should wash by hand if I am so concerned about how my clothes are being washed. In the past, I have found this company to be difficult when trying to purchase parts; but this goes way beyond attitude. If you want control over your wash do not buy a F&P washer. Once you start the machine, its out of your hands. This is not a consumer friendly machine

We purchased this fridge about six months ago and we are extremely disappointed with the quality on this product. The Stainless steel is so thin on it that when you actually close the door by hand if you dont use the handles if your ring or anything touches it it scratches and puts a dent in it right away. Stay far from this product and if youre in Canada stay away from Trail appliances in Edmonds Fine Appliances. They said all this is normal. If you have kids definitely stay away from this. This is not the the same Fisher Paykel that was an Australian company, it now owned by Haier Group out of China. Quality is the worst ever.

I was first introduced to Fisher Paykel dishwasher drawers about 6 years ago. They were two drawers placed separately on either side of the kitchen sink. They were really wonderful and I had no problems with them. I then bought and renovated two new homes and put fisher paykel dishwashing drawers in both homes. They are the stacked drawers. Have not had problem with them except the bottom one started leaking and the top one smells horribly of mold. I feel it in my lungs every time I breathe in the air after opening the top drawer. I called customer service and spoke to someone from New Zealand (very difficult time understanding her) who said that I should use let it shine from Home Depot and run it through a cycle. Well this did not help so now I have to endure this terrible mold smell every time I open the top drawer. After this experience I am very doubtful I would ever buy another fisher paykel product.

Approximately seven years ago, we purchased a Fisher Paykel washer from a local Lowes. I really liked the idea of using less water. The change from a regular dial machine to electronic push button seemed like a nice update. I will say that the only thing I like about this machine was that the spin cycle was very efficient and the clothes had much less moisture, resulting in far less drying time in the clothes dryer. The purpose of my review is to warn everyone what a horrible experience we have had with this brand. We have had to have this machine repaired four times by a professional. We have spent more money on repairs than the original purchase of the machine. We will never purchase anything by Fisher Paykel again. I strongly warn others about this brand. I purchased a Fisher Paykel Washer and Dryer in 2009. The washer has worked okay, except for two instances in which the pump wouldnt drain its water and investigation determined the pump had been obstructed by lint. The dryer is another issue altogether. The first problem came just over a year into owning this appliance. The bearing was deemed failed and it had to be replaced. The bearing is less than a year old and the dryer again sounds like bare metal grinding on bare metal. Now...the dryer had to be serviced for heating problems. Specifically, the dryer would run for hours without drying the clothes. It was determined that the lint sensor trips the heater to prevent fire...makes sense, but further investigation found that the fine mesh screen which serves as a filter has dry-rotted and failed, so lint quickly moves to the inside of the appliance and repeatedly triggers the safety mechanism.Question: Why should I have to take this unit apart every couple of days to clean it? The design is obviously flawed. Ive never done such a thing to the previous dryer I owned, nor have my parents...even when there were eight of us in the house. Sadly, I was given the entire song and dance about how wonderful these high priced, gilded turds would save me time and money. Nothing is further from the truth. While the appliance technician has been friendly and helpful (once I can get in touch with him), these appliances have been miserable to own. I share my house with four others and the laundry piles up quickly...not to mention the fact that the dryer is a fire waiting to happen. I had a Whirlpool standard dryer that was seven years old and I got rid of it when I bought these gems...it still worked. What was I thinking? Now the decision must be made...shell out a few hundred bucks for a poorly designed lint filter and service, or, look for an older standard dryer. Guess what...Goodbye Fisher Paykel! Note to others: Stay well clear of this high tech junk.

We bought a two-door dishwasher. It was on sale. It seemed to be way above a very well made machine as far as I can tell. It’s extremely quiet (I can’t believe a dishwasher can be that quiet). However when we got the machine home and opened the box, there were a few parts missing. And so we contacted the company, and without hesitation, they just shipped right off the few little parts that were missing and it worked out very well for us. Their customer service is definitely a 10!

I purchased at the same time a Fisher Paykel Washer (model WA37T26G: ECOSMART) and Fisher Paykel Dryer (model WA42T26GW1: ECOSMART) in 2008/09. First problem was the spinning on the washer stopped. I called a repair person; it cost me over $200 to fix. Second problem, the dryer just quit working, deader than a doornail! I called a repairman. They said it would cost more for the part than what the dryer is worth! I tossed the Fisher Paykel dryer and bought a Maytag. Now, just this week, the washer stopped spinning again. This time, being ECOSMART, I looked online for COMMON PROBLEMS with these models and found that the water pump gets wet from a leak in the washer and rusts and freezes the water pump which in turn blows out the fuse in the control board. My husband took it apart and it was confirmed... The pump is junk and rusted and the CONTROL BOARD is dead. With a 50 cent fuse, it could fix the problem, but NO, Fisher Paykel doesnt tell you that. They want you to spend $185+ for a new control board to fix their POOR DESIGN! Now, we have to fork out more money to replace this junk water pump to avoid paying for a new washer. Guess what? The new pumps have fuses on them to prevent the control board from blowing out. Well, how bout recalling them and fix the design?!! Just a thought! A Fisher Paykel will not be in my house after this washer DIES again! (Oh, Shame on you, Consumer Reports! I went by your recommendation for these models!) ECOSMART? I think not!

I feel that it is only fair that I leave a positive review for Fisher Paykel after the two negative ones I left. After having issues with my dryer and then my washer, Lisette of Fisher Paykel has been very helpful. When the bearings on my dryer needed to be replaced, the company paid over half the cost. When the water pump on my washer broke shortly after, the company is going to pay for the pump. Their customer service is excellent. Thank you so much.

I purchased a new Fisher and Paykel washer and dryer in 2008. We have had both of the units serviced numerous times. The washer is not working currently and the dryer, well, we have to reset it every time we use it! These units were our first big purchases and we will never buy this name brand again. Our warranty expires next year and we have to start shopping for new unit. Bad product and bad service.

We purchased a Fisher Paykel GWL11 washing machine about 8 years ago. For the first few years the machine performed well but on the very day the warranty was up the Motor Control board went bad. Fisher Paykel paid for another board but we were out $250 for the service call. The next thing that happened was this year. The machine would not function in several wash modes and would only spin at slow or medium speeds. Last week, the washer refused to spin at all. I bought another board (not cheap!) and then discovered that the old board may have gone bad because of a design flaw. The board is not protected from short circuit with the pump motor and the pump motor has a tendency to leak after a while. This causes a short that blows out the board. The factory does or did not acknowledge the problem. So, I then purchased a replacement pump (also not cheap!) that came with an inline fuse to prevent this from happening again. I put everything back together and all kinds of new problems. The GWL11 was an expensive machine at the time we purchased it and all we have done is put more money into it. Despite the new control board & pump, the machine will overfill unless you stop it manually, the lid lock cycles back and forth and then beeps preventing the machine from going into any spin cycle. At this point, I have had it with this machine! I will never buy another Fisher Paykel product and I will discourage everyone I know from buying their products. My last washing machine, a Sears Kenmore lasted me 17 years and it STILL WORKED! I only sold it to upgrade to the Fisher Paykel. Im going to take it out to the farm and use it for target practice. At least I will get SOME satisfaction from this lousy machine!

We were looking for a second refrigerator in our home, and went to a company called Pacific Sales. They were closing that particular store, and the Fisher & Paykel unit we bought was probably a previous years floor model. Its got a lot of bells and whistles, one of which was not working - some alarms thing or something was bad. We called the service company and they came out and took care of it. It was a new unit and it had this problem... but other than that everythings been great. We had not really heard of the brand prior to making the purchase, but are very happy with it now that we have it.

About a month ago I purchased a double wall oven made by Fisher & Paykel. I was a little worried by the reviews I read, but I know that more people who are unhappy with their purchases tend to write reviews because they want to air their grievance. I love my FP ovens. They work perfectly. They have about 10 different settings depending on the type of food you are cooking. The ovens work perfectly. They hold the correct temperature and everything I have made in them has come out perfectly. I love that the shelves move in and out at the gentlest touch. No struggle to get heavy pans in and out of this oven. The only thing I havent tried is the cleaning cycle. That was the problem with my Thermador ovens. The high heat of the cleaning cycle burned out the circuit boards---three times. No more Thermador for me. So far I am a happy baker.

My first F&P dryer worked fine for a year and then continually tripped thermal switches. One actually has to remove a panel to reset this as it is not accessible from the outside of the dryer. F&P finally replaced this (well, I got a new dryer for the privilege of paying them $250 for the prorated use of the old dryer). I also spent another $250 re-venting the dryer because they were concerned that the venting that worked fine for my 25 year old Maytag was insufficient for their unit. Dryer #2 developed a bearing squeak--quiet at first but now is extremely loud. The tech from the company that sold me the dryer claims the bolt is frozen and the bearing cannot be replaced or at least cannot be replaced for a service call cheaper than half the price of actually replacing the dryer. Meanwhile, THAT store has ceased selling the product and no longer will work on F&P machines. The tech recommended by F&P after this told me the same thing and recommended that I save my money and buy Samsung.

A girlfriend of mine had the two drawer dishwasher that she bought about 5 years ago and I just loved that. So when we went to remodel our kitchen, we put in Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. We also have the DCS stove and microwave or cooktop, microwave & oven. All of our appliances are Fisher & Paykel. Everything was good until just recently when we were not too happy. We had to wait 3 weeks to get a part for our oven that stopped working and its only 6 months old... We like the actual appliances. Its just the fact that its so long to get any kind of parts in and then we had also paid for the extended warranty on them so we paid quite a bit extra just to have them and then had to deal with waiting.

Contacted the Fisher and Paykel Customer Care to repair a 2 year old fridge - no longer working (under warranty). The fridge was removed and taken in for service and a replacement fridge was provided. Our fridge was returned 1.5 weeks later, and we were told it was working. Its not. Contacted the service dept, given the run-around, told it is probably a small repair required and the technician will attend on site - but not for 4 days. Thanks guys. Its 30 degrees out. Love having to deal with a fridge/freezer and 100s of $$ of rotting food.Would have been helpful to at least speak with a manager, or be reassured that given it was their error, or case would be prioritized. Debbie at customer service said nothing can or will be done, was unable to reach a manager, said Josh (the technical supervisor for our area) should get back to us within a day or so. Very reassuring (thats sarcasm). I find it very strange. Dealing with a mistake can be so easy with an apology, acknowledgement, and reassurance. None of which were provided.

I have a number of friends who had had Fisher Paykel in kitchen remodels. I heard good and bad, and my designer recommended it once we got started with the kitchen. He said Fisher Paykel made all the dishwasher drawers for everybody else. So we might as well go with the one who makes the most of them. I have a full-sized dishwasher to handle everyday other things but I wanted something just for little things throughout the day that build up in the sink. When I saw them, I was very impressed and I was extremely pleased with it. I like that it holds everything and its easy to operate. This was my first purchase of a Fisher Paykel. I had problems with it in the beginning. I dont know whether it was related to the person who installed it or the way that it was installed. Every time I went to use it for the first two weeks, I got an error message. We finally figured out that it was pushed too far back in the cabinet and it was pushing into the waterline every time that happened so it was causing the error message to tell me that it wasnt connected. But I like it now a lot.

Our very expensive F&P washer and dryer set, has had serious problems for the last few years. Washing machine cant run a cycle without stopping over and over again and having to reset it. Dryer periodically has to be unplugged just to turn on and it is also making weird squealing sounds and sounding erratic when running. Just to name a few problems. I have tried and tried to contact the company to find someone who can come out to look at, and possibly repair, the machines. But, the company doesnt even reply to my attempts to get in touch with them. Nothing, no reply, no help, no follow up, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER. It is pretty ridiculous to have machines that were in the highest price bracket, start failing after only about 5 years. And it is even more ridiculous for a company to not even reply to its customers when they reach out for assistance. Very disappointed.

I recently purchased a Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer via the internet. It was delivered via a special trucking company. I paid an additional sum of money for it to be delivered by a special trucking company, unpacked from the box, brought into my kitchen and inspected (as opposed to the unit being drop shipped to my front yard). It arrived in perfect condition. I hired a licensed plumber to install it. While installing the unit, the plumber reported the kick-plate was missing. Then I noticed there were small cracks/marks in the cutlery bins - an obvious product defect. After running the top drawer of the DishDrawer, water started profusely leaking from the bottom of DishDrawer’s top drawer. I had the plumber return to check all the connections, which he confirmed were connected tightly and properly. The leak was coming from the DishDrawer, not from the connections. I called Fisher & Paykel’s customer care and was told that since I purchased my DishDrawer via the internet, they would not honor my warranty! They said the trucking company was responsible for the missing parts and damage (leaking issue). After holding on the phone for 3 hours, I was transferred to the USA supervisor Paul who said if/when an authorized service technician inspects the leaking issue and determines that it is unrelated to delivery, Fisher & Paykel would honor my warranty. Then Paul insisted that I send him a photo of the cracked cutlery bins before even considering replacing them. I emailed him a photo of the damage two days ago and there’s still no response. He said the kick-plate was already being sent to me (but nothing was received yet). I then had a local authorized service technician come to look at the dish and he determined that the leaking was totally unrelated to the delivery of the unit, but it was instead a product defect and that it should be covered under the 100% manufacturer’s warranty. He advised Fisher & Paykel of this. That was two days ago. Today, Fisher & Paykel told the service technician that they are still having issues with honoring my warranty due to the purchase being via the internet. Fisher & Paykel has confirmed that the unit is a genuine Fisher & Paykel unit and the serial number was accepted upon registration, but Fisher & Paykel claims that any internet purchases are questionable and Fisher & Paykel to this date has refused to honor my warranty. I tried to call the USA supervisor Paul this morning and was told he was on the telephone and would return my call in 5 to 10 minutes. That was three hours ago and there’s still no phone call! I am frustrated and very angry. How could Fisher & Paykel refuse to honor the warranty on their unit after confirming the problem is a product defect? They call their customer service line customer care - what care are they speaking of? There is no care whatsoever! They are the absolute worst when it comes to customer service. If Fisher & Paykel refuses to honor my warranty, I plan on reporting them to every possible consumer complaint agency and will seek additional remedies to the full extent of the law.

I have a washer and dryer set that I have had for a few years. It has not been anything but trouble since I have had them. The washer has been worked on twice and once the repairman left off a hose and water filled my floor and messed up some of my flooring. Then the dryer had been worked on two or three times and right now it sounds like the whole drum is about to come out. I am tired of having to call a repairman to take care of problems. I tried to tell the people that I bought it from that I thought it was a lemon from the get go, because I had not had it maybe 1 month when it had to be worked on the first time. I would not recommend anyone to buy your products, because I have been very disappointed with your products. I still say that I have a lemon and that I should have been given another one in the beginning. That is what happens when you buy a lemon automobile. Appliances cost too much these days to have to keep having them repaired, because the average person nowadays have been cut back in their pay checks and are not able to afford repair bills.

Ive owned front-load machines for the past 5 years. Had a good experience with them as well. I just moved into top-load HE laundry and went F&P. After comparing the two styles I would recommend the F&P top-loaders. Being able to control your water levels is such an advantage to laundry. Heavily soiled stains are removed more significant with extra water. Having a thorough rinse improved my whites and stained outdoor clothing. The gentleness of F&P laundry is at peak level. My delicate clothing is avoiding vigorous wear and tear, even though front-load offers a delicate cycle. The controlled spin out speed is phenomenal. Clothes are noticeably softer and brighter. F&P laundry is amazing and I would recommend to any consumer.

My Fisher & Paykel dual fuel (gas top/electric oven) is by far the worst appliance I have ever purchased. From day one after the installation, the oven wouldnt work properly because of, what I later learned, is a PLASTIC lock which came broken. Without this lock, the sensor believes that the oven door is open and the oven wont work correctly. According to the technician, this lock breaks frequently, and he mentions he doesnt understand why a piece so important is made of plastic. The technician comes back with the part to fix the issue, but when he puts the oven all back together, it seemed that the oven door was no longer centered in place. He said that it should not be a problem, after all, the oven was now working. Although I thought it was a very poor customer service response for an appliance so expensive, I decided to bite the bullet, as I had spent too long without an oven. Despite my compromise, a week after this repair the door completely sunk to one side. As a result, the oven was again non-operational. Another technician comes, this time to tell me that the door hinge had an issue. He didnt have the spare part, so I go another month without an oven.At the day scheduled for the technician to come to install the new hinge, he missed the appointment, allegedly because previous appointments that ran late. So now I have at least 3 more weeks with no oven until he can come again. After weeks, the technician is back. He installs the new hinge, and of course, the door is again not centered. The oven doesnt work properly, because, without a centered door, the locking mechanism doesnt work well. Interestingly enough, he insists that everything is fine, and tells me that the lock is only used for the oven self-clean function, which I should never use because everyone who uses it requests a repair right after due to oven parts that get burned and makes the oven malfunction.Interesting to know that the oven is even worse than I thought, and that the self-clean feature is unusable. But back to my case, even though the lock is not essential, it affects how the door open and closes, and the oven does not work well without everything centered and in place. His answer: I cant do anything about it. Now I call Fisher & Paykel to complain, and their solution? To send another technician. Im now nearly one year without an oven. I simply cant bake anything. So my advice to all of you considering to buy a Fisher & Paykel appliance, believe the bad reviews and stay away from it. I was one of those who thought no, it cant be that poorly made at such a high price tag. Well, it is, and its customer service is just as bad.

Like other reviewers, I have also had problems with drying time – any energy-efficient feature, this thing purportedly has, is out the window because it takes so long to dry anything. I saw Fisher Paykel through Consumer Reports years ago. Im a repeat customer of that company. Its my third or fourth purchase with them - the latest being a washer and dryer. Their lifespan isnt as long as it used to be. Theyre not built like they were back 25 years ago when you could have one for 20 years. Not so much plastic should be used in manufacturing some of the push buttons and things that tend to break or wear out over time. The whole face is plastic and the face tends to crack on the buttons that you use consistently. There should be more flexibility in the fabric that theyre using for those push buttons. Theyre pretty simple machines. The noise level on the washer is pretty high. It sounds like you have an airplane in your house. Besides that and things breaking that are too expensive to repair, theyre fine. They wash the clothes and they get them clean. Thats all I can ask for.

We purchased a Fisher Paykel custom designed refrigerator 3 years ago. We were leery of buying a $4,000 refrigerator for the same reasons people are advised not to buy a Jaguar - frequent problems, expensive parts and service. Well, we bought it because it could be built to fit in the design of our new kitchen. Two days ago, we noticed a pool of water had begun to make its way across the floor. We called and were told the next available service appointment was February 8th, 19 days away.Problem is, we sold our house and are leaving in 4 days, moving out of state. Fisher gave us the name of a subcontractor repairman. We waited two days for an appointment with him. He just left and said the refrigerator was installed incorrectly to begin with and now needs a part that should have been used in the first place. That part will not be available for 5 days, the day after we move out of state. Long story made short is, in 64 years, I have never had a refrigerator break down and leak. Never. And certainly not a $4,000 one. Never again.

I have purchased one Fisher & Paykel refrigerator that’s in my house. They’re nice, clean-looking products and reliable, as far as I can tell so far. It’s a cabinet depth refrigerator, but I was very surprised at how much we can fit in there. It was a perfect fit! The temperature is always steady.

Weve had problems with both the washer and dryer. The washer leaked from the bottom and we had it repaired. The repairman explained that the cause was from not using the rinse cycle when washing whites and that they do not use bleach overseas. Now, our dryer is 3 1/2 years old and it’s in need of a repair. It sounds as though the bearing is going out of it. These were expensive appliances and one should be able to expect at least 10 years.

Eco smart washer - Well I bought this in 2011 in Lakeport at the Sears. I noticed right away that my whites werent getting white, even though I use Clorox. The next thing was having to constantly re-balance the clothes. Also, my clothes constantly get wound around the thing in the middle. The paddles should have gone all the way to the bottom of the tub. Instead theres like 4 below where clothes can get stuck. Then I did a test with the hot water. I pressed wash in hot water and when it was half-full, I opened the machine and it was cold. Well I tried turning off the cold valve and then I tried using the cold button seeing if they were switched. Then I had a problem where it wouldnt drain. Well it drains now. Clothes still get stuck, get stretched and sometimes ripped, and then come to find out that the hot button doesnt mean wash with hot. It means fill to 2 with hot and then continue filling with cold. The repairman for Sears phoned Paykel and that is what the tech told him is normal for washing in hot.I am steaming mad. Who wants to join a class action lawsuit with me? I am that angry.

My daughter is an interior designer and she introduced us to Fisher and Paykel appliances 12 or 13 years ago and we bought our first dish drawers then. At our next house, we had Fisher and Paykel washer and dryer as well as the dish drawers. Then our next house, we had a KitchenAid copy of a Fisher and Paykel dish drawer which was a piece of junk. So for the current house, Im remodeling the kitchen right now and we bought dish drawers. The products are fantastic. They pay attention to how much energy and water and soap they consume. The underlying design is brilliant in all of them.

We got the two-drawer dishwasher from Fisher & Paykel. Our other unit died and this is the first time we’re purchasing from them. My favorite feature on the unit is it having 2 drawers. Were an older couple and I have one drawer of dishes a day which is perfect. If you have smelly fish dishes or something you want them to be done straight away. And it works very well for us. Im absolutely delighted with it. It works beautifully and its extremely quiet. And of course its a good Kiwi product. My wife is Kiwi, which is good. What else can I say?

I purchased the Fisher Paykel washer and dryer 3 years ago from Lowes, after being coaxed into it by the sales associate. He was really pushing these appliances, and they certainly arent as good as he claimed they were! I have been very dissatisfied with these appliances, especially the dryer! I hate the weird noises it makes when putting it on, pause, and turning it off! Ive had nothing but problems with it. It takes forever to dry anything! Weve had a repairman out, and he replaced an element after wed only had it for 2 years! It still took forever to dry my clothes, and now it wont dry anything! It certainly cant be energy efficient if I have to run it for hours to dry one load of clothes! This was the worst appliance purchase weve ever made, and I have nothing good to say about it to anyone!

While our experience with the local vendor/service provider for our Fisher Paykel refrigerator has been less than stellar the product is superb. The refrigerator is exceptionally quiet and fits neatly into the cabinetry designed for an apartment sized unit. I will be purchasing a Fisher Paykel refrigerator for our new dwelling.

I bought a Fisher Paykel washer and dryer based on the sales pitch that loads very seldom get off balance and that clothes spin almost dry. From the start at least one out of every 4 loads would get off balance. I had a repair man service my washer numerous times while it was under warranty. At one point the rocker arms were broke and had to be replaced and caused from the loads getting off balance. The last repair visit the service man said he would have to order parts and would be back to install them. He hasn’t been back and that was months ago. My washer still gets loads off balance and now it won’t complete the rinse cycle. But now my warranty has expired so I’m stuck with an expensive washing machine that doesn’t work. I will never buy another Fisher Paykel product nor will I ever buy anything from the store where I purchased them. I’m stuck with an appliance that doesn’t work and the warranty is now expired.

We bought a brand new Fisher Paykel dryer at Lowes. When we went to hook it up, it did not heat. When we called Fisher Paykel, they said it was no longer under warranty because it was manufactured in 2007. Lowes would not stand behind it either. When I tried to get a service person to look at it, everyone told us they would not work on Fisher Paykel products. Now, I have a brand new dryer that doesnt heat and cannot get repaired. Would never buy an F&P product again and would recommend others to think twice before purchasing one.

I purchased an FP washing machine in 2008. I was assured of the quality and low maintenance of this washer. Fortunately, I had the factory warranty and then the extended warranty and I have needed every bit of it. This washer is simply a piece of metal junk. I am so angry and dissatisfied with how FP, Lowes and A&E repair has dealt with this. I had it repaired at least 6 times under the FP warranty and when it was broken it was down for weeks. Parts took forever. Then on to Lowes and A&E. I have had nothing but trouble with the washer. Lowes will not replace my machine and FP refuses to do anything. I just had it repaired in April and it was out of service for a month then. Now it’s leaking water underneath - clearly the bearings are going out and again Im going to be without a washer. This is absolute garbage. Do not buy FP washers - not to mention that now the leaking washing has destroyed my Pergo kitchen floor. I’m very angry.

My fridge became faulty and I called a Fisher & Paykel (F&P) technician. He recommended that I replace the fridge and gave me a voucher that entitled me to a Loyalty Bonus if I chose the same brand again. I did and submitted my claim for A $50 Gift Card which I was to receive within 48 days. When I did not receive it I contacted F&P who advised that they had already sent it, by ordinary mail. I requested F&P to send me another but they did not accept responsibility for the loss as the Gift Card had been redeemed by somebody. It was their decision (based on their internal policy) to send a Gift Card (which is just as good as Cash) by ordinary mail. Note that postage costs $1 for ordinary and $4.80 for registered mail. I am amazed that an established organization such as F&P acknowledges that they are aware of some issues in recent times where mail has been stolen out of mailboxes but continues to take risks with Gift Cards. They do so knowing very well that it will not be cost-effective for a customer to make a formal claim in a tribunal or court. So when mail gets stolen or lost F&P does not take any responsibility. I have decided that going forward I will not give F&P a single dollar in business because I do not deal with those who are more focused on playing the blame game. F&P may have saved $3.80 in postage but has lost a customer, bought themselves adverse publicity and jeopardised future sales. Good luck to them!

The dryer was making a high-pitched squeaking sound that could be heard all through the house. We called to have it repaired and new bearings were put in. We put in a load of clothes to dry and an error code came up. We tried to take the clothes out of the dryer and it was locked shut. Our clothes were taken hostage. We finally retrieved the clothes and called out the service company. 2 weeks later and 10 parts ordered, the service company came out and replaced what was needed. After going through 3 drums and other parts, the service company deems the dryer unfixable but Fisher and Paykel replied, Then we will keep sending out more drums for the dryer. This is an unacceptable way of dealing with customers and promoting their product. Please advise.

We were re-doing our kitchen and we wanted something with two drawers and they were the only ones who really did it for the dishwasher. I checked them out online and they were very highly rated. My wife says why we didn’t get all our appliances from them? We did our whole kitchen and she was... “I didn’t know about them beforehand.....” So this was an experiment that actually turned out to be positive and if they want to, they can change all my appliances, because I’m sorry I didn’t buy all of them :)Compared to other brands we had our F&P dishwasher is amazing. I love that the dishes come out sparkling clean. I don’t have to scrap them. I’ve had bad dishwashers. The last one that I had was extremely poor. I would never buy that brand again.

My F&P washing machine kept getting stuck and not draining. I had a repair come out and $380 fixed it. Six months later, same thing with machine not draining. I took to the internet and found out that the drain pump was likely plugged. I was able to fix it myself, which wasnt easy, turning machine on its side, pulling out the coin that was clogging the pump, etc. This happened four more times, me fixing it each time. Then the last time, there was nothing clogging it. Repairman said $400 to fix. I said, Forget you, and tossed the machine. Now I have an LG which I love. My F&P dryer is now squeaking and making a horrible noise. Its less than five years old. I refuse to put any more money into these pieces of junk, so unless me replacing the bearing myself works, it will also be joining the washer in appliance heaven (oops, maybe hell). FYI, customer service is also horrible and offers you no help once your warranty is up. Big surprise there.

We are on our second refrigerator from Fisher & Paykel. FP replaced the first one after one year of constant problems, frustrations and technicians repairing it. We had the new one for one week and a part just fell off the interior of the door so it would no longer self close on one side. After 2 years, we got an error code for fan failures which, according to the manual, was highly unlikely to ever happen. Repair man came out and replaced the fans. One month later, I noticed the upper fridge area was not very cold, so I adjusted the setting towards colder. A few days later, my husband opened the freezer and ice had accumulated everywhere. We inspected the door seal and all around the drawers and nothing was blocking or preventing the door from shutting. Repair man came back out, inspected the seals as well and determined it was from a leak somewhere in the back of the unit. FP said we were most likely at fault for leaving the door open. Not true! They said we should unplug the unit, remove all food and let defrost for 24 hours. Repair man said that would be such a huge mess and inconvenience for something that will just recur again. I called FP back and got the usual run around with their terrible customer service people. I have wasted so much of my time dealing with Fisher and Paykel. I just want my money refunded so I can buy a product from a reliable company.

The inside of the glass door was broken for no apparent reason, the parts department are now charging £250 for the privilege of getting a new glass that fits. This oven does not get a lot of use. In terms of size its great but I really resent paying so much for a spare part...15% of the purchase price doesnt seem reasonable to me. The service department are given the horrid job of dealing with these issues with no flexibility in how they handle them. The dishwasher drawer is really not a good idea for anyone who has anything other than mugs and buffet size dinner plates. Be aware that the overall size of this will push your worktop higher that may expect. It has had a rather unfortunate knock on effect for me in terms of the aesthetic, but the main point is it doesnt do the job its supposed to. Great idea... But the result is not good.

Their customer service representative was given a contract number for a service agent. Waited 10 days for someone to come out to have a look at the oven. Technician replaced the door lock and motherboard but the safety switch is out of stock, and will be another 2to 3 weeks delay. I have done some research on the faulty F216 - and it seems that this is a known fault with this oven. If this is the case shouldnt this oven be recalled? In 2019 we purchased a kitchen full of appliances; Cook Top, Over, Microwave, two drawer dishwasher, and large bottom draw with two top doors refrigerator/freezer. Quality issues: Microwave cover/front panel is cheap, loose, and I had to do some customization to get it to quit falling off. We like the two-drawer dishwasher, but found it constantly needs adjustments to keep the lower drawer from dragging on the floor, and almost always have to run a max clean setting or re-wash when drawers are full. Over so far is great. Cooktop is great, but the nobs squeak now after just 8 months of use. The refrigerator is our biggest issue… constantly makes excessive motor/fan noise, door/drawer trim constantly falls off, or jams up… Doors don’t align well, and don’t stay aligned.Service issues: The biggest joke ever! Tried for 8 months to get someone our here “AT MY COST even”, to give all these appliances a full re-build, inspection, and/or confirmation that they were installed/assembled correctly. CANNOT find anyone interested is servicing these units, and NO ONE at Fisher & Paykel is interested in finding me support of any kind… nor were the representatives from the appliance store I purchased the units from. We had a double drawer dishwasher installed as part of our kitchen refurbishment last May. Within two months, the dishwasher would not drain. Contacted customer service - NOT - and after being on hold for a long time, I was finally told to contact a company called Millers Ltd. UK to arrange an engineer to come and fix the problem. This company sent out one of the rudest young men I have ever encountered and he left the dishwasher un-repaired, so we had to contact the kitchen company to make other arrangements, dishwasher fixed. In February 2015 the tines in the tray of the upper drawer broke. I went online to order a new tray and tines at a total cost of £73.40, I ordered what was in the photo on Fisher & Paykel website. The tray arrived without the tines. After several phone calls and mindless music, I finally managed to convince an assistant called Ula that if she checked her website, she would see what I thought I was ordering and therefore could she send me the tines. This she did and they all snapped while trying to fix them to the tray. We have since managed to do a DIY job on this tray. In March of this year, the upper drawer again would not drain, clean the dishes - so back onto Fisher Paykel and the awful music. Again given a number to contact to arrange an engineer to visit, told the assistant about our previous experience and asked that that company not be used again. A very helpful engineer arrived the next day and instantly knew the problem and replaced the rotor in the upper drawer, he had one on-hand as he had dealt with this problem several times. July, both drawers very noisy, not cleaning dishes and a red light and bleeping from the upper drawer. Contact Fisher & Paykel and again straight onto the awful music, finally get through to Hannah, who cannot find a contact number for my post code. Oops its my fault that she misheard my post code and was looking in the wrong area. I explain as best I can the problem and previous history, she tells me to contact the previous company I used in March. This I do to be informed that they no longer deal with Fisher & Paykel as their machines have multiple problems. Contact Fisher & Paykel and Hannah, again to be given a number which turns out to be Millers UK, a company I will never use or recommend. Try to contact Hannah again but am beaten by the awful music. Instead I am now getting an independent assessment of the machine and will be going back to the kitchen company that recommended the dishwasher and installed it, as to whether or not they will have to replace it with a better-quality machine.

I had a service call due to excessive squeaking. The lint trap screen failed and was subsequently replaced. I also had the washer looked at, because the water was not filling. And drain tube was fixed. He said we would probably need to replace the bearings. My husband replaced the drum bearing, but the drum belt tension roller bearings are original and are probably the culprit of the continued squeak. Also, the dryer not drying very well. Due to economic restraints and cost of bearing and poor design that make service costly, we are looking at ditching the dryer. Based on the premium purchase price, the dryer is certainly not looking to provide the 15- to 20-year trouble-free service life expectancy; and we are highly dissatisfied with this product. My husband has been out of work (under-employed for the past 4, going on 5 years), so service calls are costly. It would be cheaper for us to park it on the curb and buy used reliable dryer than to provide service. Can you help us out? It sure would keep us F&P fans. I absolutely hated the Maxima Maytag set that I had gotten and had been a Maytag person for about 30 years. I actually got rid of it, a very recent purchase of a Maytag frontloading set, because I didn’t like them at all and I like this Fisher & Paykel top loading set a lot. I love it! I’m really pleased with the purchase. It’s much more efficient. It’s easy, easy, easy, easy to use, not complicated at all. I like the fact that it’s simple and that it doesn’t have a lot of extras that I don’t need and would never use. But actually, even as it is, it has more than I use now, but it’s good. Space-wise, it’s not as deep, which is great, because in my case, I was kind of surprised by the depth of the front loader and it was inconvenient because it got in our way. So that was another reason why I got rid of the other one. And I’d only had the other set for a year. There’s two comments that I’d like to make with this F&P set… First thing is that I’m unhappy not being able to soak clothes because that’s a nuisance. I’m used to old top loaders where you could fill up the tub, put some bleach in there and soak it overnight, and you can’t do that with this. And unless there’s a way that I can be taught how to do it, I actually called the main headquarters and they simply said it wasn’t possible. Secondly, I’m not sure if it’s what I’ve been using for laundry soap, but it seems like things are a little dingier than they used to be. I’m not sure. I think that might be the soap that I’m using. It’s the whites aren’t getting as white as I’m used to. But I don’t think that’s the washing machine; I think that’s my products. The cleaning products that I use, I’ve always made my own, and I’ve never had a problem with things getting completely clean before and it seems like maybe there’s a residue because they’re not using as much water. And so, I changed back to the high efficiency stuff and everything seems just fine, but it’s a lot more expensive than what I do. Overall, it’s a great machine!

I saw a Fisher & Paykel commercial about the type of dish washer that I wanted and from what I understand, theyre pretty much the only ones the make those now, the drawer ones. So when my refrigerator quit working, I decided to buy one although it was much more expensive but it had the drawer option that I wanted. The company has been very good so far. As far as I know, I dealt with just the company that I bought it from in the store, but as far as my happiness with the dishwasher, Im not really pleased. To begin with, we had the one that I ordered and laid for to be in stock and it was put in and for some reason it leaked immediately. Right after the delivery guy left, it started leaking, at least twice. Its been three times its flooded my kitchen floor, my hardwood floor. They called me that they were going to contact the company of Fisher & Paykel and find out if they were going to do anything about my floor, but I havent heard anything. Then they bought me a stainless steel one and put it in to replace the one that I ordered, which was a couple hundred dollars more and they didnt make me pay the extra money, which was nice. I have my dishwasher and I was happy. But since then, its only been less than a year and probably six months or so but the pieces inside where you stack the dishes are already breaking. I have to find another piece that I could put there so that I could get my dishes in there. Plus the fact that the chimes are so close together that you cant get anything in there except for a flat dish, unless you just take all of the things out and just have an open drawer. Our complaint is that nothing fits in them right and it doesnt clean as well as I thought they would. I thought they would be very good for what we spent on them. I put less and less in them just thinking itll get cleaner and cleaner because theyre in such a compact area. But they dont really seem to. And I follow all the rules on what they say to do and stuff but even so stuff is not as clean as I thought it would get. So I dont know what it is that keeps it from being clean, but I keep trying.

Looking at other reviews, my oven was discontinued. The last service man that came out said they dont make the part anymore. If did find it would take months. Why didnt Fisher Paykel say something to me. I been working with one oven & cannot clean it since before christmas. I love baking. Thats why I bought a double oven. This oven has had at least 78 times service people. Money! More money. The worst product I ever purchased.
