less than 2 yrs old and has completely failed to operate. We have been patient with this model. It does roll the clothes to point they are wrapped around and among each other and must be pulled apart before placing in dryer. The wash cycle now takes more than 45 minutes, It fails to spin the load often. Now, it has failed to the point it will not operate with or without any clothes in it.

I bought a fridge from Home Depot. It was on sale and not a Maytag. Somehow they delivered a Maytag. I am over-the-top happy with my fridge. It keep things cold. It is roomy, It has separate temp controls for the freezer and fridge. The bright LED lighting is wonderful. It is energy efficient. It is easy to move around when I need to clean under it. It was delivered right away.

13 months after installing the dishwasher, the touch pad no longer functioned. Called Maytag 800 number and they said out of warranty. I sent out repair man and he gave me a price for repair totaling approx. $300. Called back to Maytag and asked for a supervisor, she agreed to send the parts for free and I had the repair man install. Out the $120 for the repair and wonder how long it will last this time! I will consider a buying an extended warranty? Next time I will buy a lesser priced dishwasher with a dial, no more touch pads.

I dont know where to start. This machine (Bravo XL Top Load Washer) is ridiculous! When I finally figured out how to start it, it did not rinse or spin clothes. I cannot figure out how to get it to do that so Im stuck with a washer full of wet clothes. To add insult to injury, I cannot reach into the washer to retrieve them. I am 52 and all washers are designed by freakishly tall people with NO REGARD FOR WOMEN apparently! Poorly designed! Poorly engineered! What a piece of junk!

We purchased a washer and dryer two years ago. The washer got louder and louder until we realized something was wrong and we called to get it fixed. Luckily, that was within the time of the warranty. The noise, however, began getting louder and louder within a very short time. Maytag refused to fix it again. Now, the washer sounds like a jet engine and wont drain the water at all.

Purchased our dishwasher 11 months ago from Lowes. Dishwasher has a 10 year warranty on racks and 2 other items. We are 2 adults in the household. Dishwasher is maybe used 4 times a week. Very light use! Circulation pump is bad which also took out the dishwasher solenoid. Im not going to fix because it if only lasts a year again that is a very expensive repair. Very disappointed in this made in the USA product. That was the reason I purchased it. Made in the USA. Come on Maytag. You can do better than this!

CONSUMER BEWARE: Maytag is the WORST corporation to deal with. We have purchased a Maytag range from them recently. Unfortunately we have had 4 appliances delivered to us damaged from Maytag. The fourth time around we finally got a supervisor on the line. In order to expedite the situation. And the supervisor (Frank) refused to expedite or even call to try and move up the 5th delivery date. All he talked about was Maytag company policies to us. Purchased side-by-side with bottom freezer 2009 after Hurricane Ike. Fridge has stopped cooling. Called Maytag Customer Center and was told nothing can be done only to find theres a 10 year warranty on the compressor. This malfunction should not be an issue after 8 years. My GE fridge still works after 25+ years. Horrible!

I thought washers are supposed to last 10 years or something. 3 years and I have to replace it. I dont know who Im more dissatisfied with - Maytag or Direct Appliance where I purchased it. 18 months old washer breakdown #6 - I purchased a new out of the box washer from Aarons model #MVWC7ESWWO and since Ive owned it, it has broken down repeatedly with the same problem - a water inlet valve. As a child seeing the commercial with the repairman with nothing to fix played a part in my purchase, I couldnt be more unhappy. With a family of five, there is laundry and not having a reliable washer does present a problem. I sent you this while waiting for the part to arrive from Sears. Sincerely, an unsatisfied customer.

This oven has been used so very seldom that I didnt feel I could rate it until now. We use the oven 1-2 times a week since purchasing it in March of 2018. There hadnt been any reason to use the Self Cleaning part of the oven until last week. I have had a oven with self-cleaning for 20 years and the oven went out so we purchased this one because of its sleek look and features. However last week I decided to use the self-cleaning setting on it and came home after being gone all day to find that the house smelled like it had a fire burning in it. I ran to the oven to find the whole inside cover in a white powdery substance. It looked like a snow blizzard had gone on inside of it. I was use to a small amount of white residue being inside the oven after it finished and it just wiped right up. We spent hours vacuuming it out then scrubbing it down with vinegar water and a sponge with a scouring pad on it. The casserole spill was still on the bottom, most of the enamel is gone and the glass will not clean off. I did not use any chemicals in the oven prior to turning it to the self-clean mode, I believe that it overheated and burnt the enamel off and distorted the glass. Whirlpool offered to send me a cleaning kit. I told them that would do no good. I had already scrubbed and used a razor blade to try and clean the bottom and the glass and them sending me different cleaning supplies would not fix the fact that 80% of the inside protective coating on the oven is gone. Now it is a porous surface. A Serviceman was scheduled and he called prior to arrival today and asked me to explain what was going on with my oven. I explained and he said I can almost guarantee that Whirlpool will say that it is cosmetic and they only cover cosmetic for 3 months and that I will have to pay for a $100.00 service call. This is a load of crap. This coating is part of the oven to keep it clean and protect the metal from the high heat of baking in it. This is not cosmetic feature like the outside stainless steel finish or the black trim decor. The inside doesnt look pretty. It is a function. See the photos below. Whirlpool Range Item # 805150. Purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (Model MDB7749SBBO), total with tax $590.34 on 3/31/13. It wasnt a cheaper model, had stainless interior. Owning it after a 1-1/2 year, the Control Panel went bad. Maytag offered me for $267 for repairs and 1 yr warranty. Why thats about half the price I paid. My personal repairman told me the cost would be around $200 to replace the control panel. Why I could get a more inexpensive model for $300 and still get a year warranty. Very disappointed in Maytag quality of their product.

The machine had automatic fill which did not allow enough water to rinse the clothes properly. I had to run another cycle to rinse the clothes. The machine was also extremely loud. When I had a warranty repairman come out concerning these two item as it was brand new, I was told I should have researched better. I gave it away after 3 months.

The top of the range has blistered and has worn off. It cannot be cleaned. I spoke to a Maytag representative and was told to try and use magic eraser to clean around the burners. This did not work. The model number is mgr7775xs. Is there any solution to this problem. My range looks terrible.

Dryer delivered nonfunctional. Tech showed up the following Tuesday. Diagnosis main board and one sensor dead. Tech returns following Thursday. Replacement board DOA. New dryer still nonfunctional. Awaiting new board with no functional $1100 dryer. This dryer replaced my three year old Maximus which was deemed too expensive to repair after three repairs. Please do not buy a Maytag/Whirlpool product.

My Maytag 3000 series washer had to be worked on right after we purchased it. Now it stinks and is leaking. Repairs are going to be over 300 dollars. A part wore out. It should have lasted longer and why does the front loading washer stink. There is no door to open to clean the filter.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer about 2 years ago. I’m on my second washing machine (one was replaced from Lowe’s not Maytag). The second washer has now gone out! First it was the lid lock and now who knows! The repairman can’t even fix it. Biggest piece of crap, stay clear!! My first set lasted 25 years. Poor quality workmanship and customer service!!

Machine is very loud. Clothes do not feel completely clean when wash cycle has finished. I have a sense that not all soap has been removed. Dark clothes have streaks of white residue. Must turn clothes inside out before washing. Very disappointed.

We purchased our Maytag Elite dryer almost a year ago. Began to have problems with it several weeks ago. We first tried to correct the problem through the store where we purchased it. After three failed service repair visits the technician recommended we call Maytag directly. We did. Another service appointment was set up. The repair guy determined there was nothing wrong with our dryer (?? It wasnt drying on one of the heat settings!!) but said he would come back and replace the front sensors anyway. After he left I called Maytag again. Explained why I was frustrated. I was told that since the repair guy said nothing was wrong with the dryer there was nothing further they could do for me. Further attempts at repair had to be at my expense. I was incredulous to say the least. The dryer doesnt function properly on the normal heat setting, but because the repair guy cant find the cause I am therefore just out of luck?I will never, ever purchase another Maytag product. I am shocked that they will not stand behind a product that is still under warranty. After only 11 months of use I am stuck with a dryer that will only dry on high heat?! How can a single service visit by their repair guy (whom is on their payroll) be the final say? No second opinion? Is he infallible? Simply unbelievable.

I bought a Maytag MVC565FWI / YMEDC555DW1 washer and dryer duo in December 2018. I had some holes in my sons clothing, but thought maybe they were due to him being a boy of 17 year old in college, sitting all day... Also my dryer was barely drying.Called and had a 1st technician for the dryer issue. He said no wrong code and to try and clean the evacuation vent. As I am a renter, I contacted my owner to do so and he did. But I did not get to try the machine unfortunately since 5 days after the technicians visit, I was deploying to Africa. I am military and was deployed for 8 months. Upon me return, dryer still barely dries and HOLES in every load of laundry that I do. My sons and also my own clothing. This time, there is no mistaking articles that I put in came out with huge circular holes.A second visit with a technician is arranged, last Tuesday October 8th 2019. Still no codes are found. And technician suggests cleaning the conduct better. Again my owner does so. Again, up to 4 cycles of 60 min on High heat to dry articles. No economy on energy on these models! I have called Maytag today since no one has contacted me in a week for my wrecked clothing. To my request of having my appliances either replace or refunded, they say no. Policy is to send a technician. Again. After 2 visits of technical support, Maytag is sending me for a 3rd time a technician (at my cost if nothing is found again) to test the appliances. Since the technicians can not find a code on his machine, Maytag is telling me they will do nothing.I have a washer dryer that wrecks my clothing and does not dry them. (Also I feel like my clothing are never fresh scenting, I wonder how efficient they are with even the basic cleaning part..) I will have to put them in the garbage, because how can I sell them?! Control Panel MDB8949SBB - I purchased my dishwasher in August of 2013. The control panel has stopped working and Maytag refuses to discuss the issue with us. Regardless of how many complaints they receive they are in denial about their product. They now offer a Repair +1 program which costs $260 for a repair and an additional 1 year warranty. If I do that I will get 1 year out of it before I run into the same problems. Any ideas?

I totally understand the technology age. We need to move forward as a country and keep up with modern technology. But somebody please tell me why this means companies have the right to not stand by their products? Why do consumers have to pay the price for bad products and companies leaving us high & dry? My husband & I were excited to redo our kitchen. We bought all new appliances in November 2011 - all Maytag. In December 2012 (13 months after we bought them), we started having issues with the oven. The oven would not maintain the proper temperature. We called a service man in January 2013. He deduced it was the computer board so he replaced it. Cost to us - $350 (including service call and labor). Now, less than 2 months later, the same problem. Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore - whatever company you are now - rest assured, you will not survive if you continue to produce shoddy products and refuse to back them up. The service man is to stop by again tomorrow. I refuse to keep plugging money into a product only 15 months old. I will not buy another product from you again. I just hope the dishwasher, microwave and fridge make it to at least 5 years old. Isnt this funny? My grandma has a Maytag washer & dryer - 35 years old. I purchased this washer in January 2017 at our local Home Depot here in Mexico. It was a washer/dryer combo. Now, in July, a mere 6 months and only a few wash loads later, it has gone from the worst machine I have ever owned to what I consider to be garbage material. First of all, it boasts about not using much water. This is true... Only 1/4 of your load is in the 3 inches of water at the bottom of the machine and the top 3/4 never even gets wet. I couldnt believe it. Now, I put 2 sheets in this morning and it fills almost to the point of spilling out, though I have to give it credit for shutting off the water before it actually did so. This is a NEW washing machine!!! I, along with a lot of other folks from what I am now discovering, are all in the same boat. I remember Maytag being a mark of excellence way back in the day... This is no longer the case. Stay away from this company... I know I will.

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. In October of 2011, I purchased a $1,199 Maytag Bravos Washing Machine. It recently started making a really loud noise during the spin cycle (REALLY loud). I had a local appliance repair guy come and he told me the main tub bearings are bad, sealer is defective and that it would not be cost effective to fix it.I called Maytag and they offered to sell me another one for $839. I am very dissatisfied that I only got 4 years out of a $1,199 machine!!! Ridiculous!! I wouldnt mind a minor repair that cost a few hundred to fix... I get that. But for it to be junk in 4 years... I have a hard time with that for the price. My appliance guy said it was junk when I bought it. Year ago, you got 15 to 20 years out of a good washing machine. Now... I buy a high end machine and it lasts 4 years. And why would I spend another $839 for the same piece of junk!!! That would be throwing good money after bad. It is not going to happen. I promised Maytag that I would post as many reviews about their product as possible... so everyone can know that they make a lousy, defective product and charge a very high price for something that will not last. Dont buy it!!

Bought the Maytag high efficiency washing machine with the auto-sensing and deep water wash feature. It took some getting use to because of all the washing choices and different noises it makes. Auto-sensing seems to use very little water which is strange but clothes seem to come out clean. Best bet for me is like the old school way and use deep water wash and light load which is shorter and thats most efficient power wise but will use more water which is fine by me. Also bought the matching dryer and thats a 5 star review. Excellent product.

I bought a every expensive Maytag Neptune (washer and dryer one unit) and it is now sitting in the carport. The washer broke and I had to have service people come to my house continuously. Over a period of 6 months I had to pay for 3 motor control boards plus service calls. Thats when I had I moved to the carport. In 2012 I bought a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer so I would be able to stack them. I had to put them at Sears because I had to use layaway. I paid for them over 12 weeks and had to use a laundromat during that time. Last week I got a F01 E02 error code which means replace motor control board. These boards cost over $300 each not counting the cost to install it.I did talk to Sears since the washer was only bought 4 years ago. They were nice to me but could do anything for me. Truly sad when a washer only lasts 4 years for the amount of money I had to pay to purchase it. I dont know what I going to do now since I am now retired but I WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL OR MAYTAG AGAIN.

All I can say is what a mistake. Had a front loader that always smelled and had mold around rubber gasket in door. So, wanted a top loader this time after old GE died. Unbelievable, not enough water to clean clothing. Clothing comes out with some dry spots. And the worse thing is washing black items, tiny particles on black pants, shirts, etc. Think is lint not soap but not sure. You have to rub all over the clothing to try and remove. This washer is 8 months old and I have cleaned it with baking soda and vinegar mixture thinking this would help, it doesnt. The spin cycle sounds like a rocket ship taking off. Lots of banging noises during operation also. I have invested a lot of money thinking Maytag is rated high. It is a pretty grey color with glass top. Well I was fooled, not only the saying looks arent everything for people but its true for washing machines. I have gotten multiple mail from co. wanting me to get extended warranty. Think I will, usually dont, cause I think it wont be reliable. Wish I had my washer from the 70s and 80s. Plain old wringer that got things clean. Just put black pants in dryer on very low heat taken out damp cause I dont dry a lot of my clothing. This seems to have helped to remove stains (soap)/ lint. but, talk about wrinkles, oh boy, this machine has that spin cycle going 100 miles a minute. And if you pick a lower spin speed things come out wet. I actually can say I hate this Maytag Bravo. Things dont come out clean, wrinkles beyond control, very loud. Please folks check out your sites on the internet before buying Maytag.

Maytag never fails to please me. My dishwasher is so quiet I sometimes have to put my ear next to it to make sure it’s actually working. The inside is stainless steel (those are the quietest) and it has a child lock so my 2 yo grandson can push all the buttons he wants and he still can’t mess things up. I love the high temp and sanitize features and everything is always clean and dry when done. It seems like it takes a long time to run through all the cycles, though. That and no adjustable top rack are the only two things I miss with my previous dishwasher.

Purchased my Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBM on 5/13. 3 weeks ago the panel went out! I found others have had the same complaint on their Maytag Dishwashers too! I also learned this model was discontinued from Home Depot. Is this because Maytag knows this Dishwasher was JUNK and that they allowed consumers to buy this model knowing it had these problems - I believe so! I find it absolutely crazy that Maytag has not issued a RECALL and now I am out almost $700 plus if I get it fixed or buy a new one, I am out even more $$! There has to be some RESPONSIBILITY taken from Maytag!!! I bought this dishwasher from Sears on Tuesday July 15, 2014. It was delivered on Friday July 18, 2014. On Friday July 25, 2014 two plastic clips that hold the top rack on broke, and one whole side of the top rack fell down. I called the 1-800 # in the book. Then I called the repairman they recommended. He came out on the Monday July 28, 2014. By the time he got here, the clip on the other side broke. Now the rack was hanging by one plastic clip. While waiting for these parts, the last clip broke and the rack was completely detached. So he received the parts on Friday Aug. 1, 2014. When he arrived, lo and behold, they sent the wrong parts. He had the side tracks that hold the rack, not the cheap plastic clips that attach it to the racks. So I have had my new dishwasher 14 days, and have been able to use it a total of 4 times before it failed. I am now awaiting the new parts. The parts that broke are made from a cheap thin plastic, and this is expected to hold up the entire top rack and the dishes its holding.

I am so sorry to see so many people having the same problem. Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749AWM2 purchased 12-10-11. Control Panel needs replaced (260.00...service call, part and labor). Writing this as Ive spent the last 20 mins on hold with Maytag. Im demanding them to make this right. My name is Mrs ** and I dont have a complaint. I would to tell you about our washer. It is a Maytag. It use to be my mother-in-laws. She did laundry in it for 4 grown boys and 1 girl plus her and her husband. She passed along to my husband a long time ago. And now it does laundry for 6 kids plus my husband and me. I run it 2 days a week sometimes more. The washer is between 25 and 30 years old. And works good still. Im not sure how much longer it has but we are happy with it. And soon Ill be washing for 7 kids. We have made a decision to start looking for another soon. But I wanted to share my story with you. My husband is now in his 40s if it says how long it has lasted. If I can rate the AquaLift Technology oven cleaning system that my Maytag oven has as a “Zero”, I would. This technology only removes some of the spills on the bottom of the oven. It does not clean the sides or top of the oven. I’m back to the olden days of using a lot of elbow grease to remove splatters and spills. They say you cannot use any cleaners in the oven either. At least with the old ovens you can spray an oven cleaner and wipe it clean. This product has taken us back before there were spray oven cleaners!

I bought my Maytag Refrigerator about 7 years ago and the night mares have not stopped. The ice maker has broken down so many times, I forgot to count. The drip from the ice maker lands on the floor of the freezer and drips out to the floor. The cold part of refrigerator end up freezing the fruits and veggie and milk.

Purchased the Bravos XL top load washer a month ago. We work outside daily and our clothes get very dirty. I havent really taxed the machine yet (Im doing what I consider a normal load of wash. I know the machine could handle twice as many clothes as its the 5.3 cubic feet washer, but I havent had that many clothes to put in at one time). The washer works great. Clothes are clean and smell fresh. For those that say this washer is extremely loud - you must not have something set up incorrectly. Either the wet pan you put under the machine is making contact with parts it shouldnt or someone didnt level it properly. Really, this is NOT a loud machine. We purchased from Lowes and they delivered, set up and leveled both the washer and dryer. (Yes, we also purchased the matching Bravos XL front load dryer and were impressed that it dries our clothes in half the time our old one did). We would definitely recommend the Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer.

Me and my wife bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot. The top half freezes up in a big way and it gets real frosted up I have to pull it apart every 2 months to defrost it. The bottom half starts to get warm if I dont do that. I will not ever buy another Maytag refrigerator again.

I hoped the Maytag Maxima would compare to my old Maytag Neptune and it didnt even come close. Very disappointed. Doesnt fill with enough water to even WET the towels and doesnt rinse any of the soap out of the clothes. Been using it since 12/2015. Hate the Maxima. I looked for the brand (Maytag Neptune) which I couldnt find. Settled on the Maytag Maxima which is a complete bust. The Maxima doesnt fill with enough water so Ive had to add water to both the wash and rinse cycles. It has also become very noisy. The repairman has already stated that there is nothing he can do about the lack of water since the amount of water is set in the factory and cannot be changed. The Maytag Maxima is a complete bust for me! Its a front-loader that has me adding water (at least 2 gallons) to every load no matter how small. Wish Id bought a GE top-loader that Ive seen advertised.

I purchased MVWB955FW (washer) and MEDB955FW (dryer) from AJ Madison and the units were delivered in December 2017. After using the washing machine 5 times the glass lid spontaneously shattered putting glass into the machine and all of the clothes. I called Maytag for a replacement/service and they had to reschedule as the lid wasnt in yet. A week later, I followed up with Customer Service only to find out that the replacement lid was also shattered. They didnt make a replacement lid without glass (not sure why you need to watch the clothes being washed). I was told that there were no replacement lids available anywhere. I asked about getting a replacement washer and was told couldnt do that.I asked them to pick up the units and refund my money, which they promised. It is now 2 months since the original call for service and I continue to have to follow-up with them (never get a call back) and STILL have the broken units in my house. I have since purchased a replacement set (LG) and waiting for my refund. I will NEVER do business with Maytag/Whirlpool again.

My new dishwasher had a defective board and worked erratically. Shortly after the warranty was up it stopped working completely. I contact both Maytag service and Home Depot on several occasions with no satisfaction. This a well known defect. Apparently the board replacement and service would cost in the range of $250-300. Too much for me as a senior on fixed income to justify. No dishwasher for almost a year. I then read an article indicating there was a class action settlement in California on the same make and model. I called Maytag again and after spending 2.5 hours on the phone I finally reach a person who sent out a service repair person. This person showed me a memo confirming the problem with the board. No recall but... if a customer is persistent they will give you the board. Finally new board installed at no charge.

This Maytag washer and dryer are far more superior than the units I had before. It is also made in USA which makes me feel like it will not fail me as soon as the others. The agitation when washing anything is something else I love. I will buy more Maytag in the future.

No adequate response from Maytag. Unsafe washer. Will be taking this to consumer protection as my scrubs are coming out of the wash with blood etc. left on the articles, even with bleach used. Very serious for all concerned. If you have someone with shingles or any other transmittable skin disease in your household, do not use this washer.

Purchased a Maytag Electric Range on Jan/9/2016 and delivered Jan 12/2016. To start the Aqua Steam clean is for the birds. Does not clean worth a darn. Model MER8600DH cost $823.33 and I thought this unit was awesome until December 2018. The oven makes loud bangs and it’s not metal contracting or whatever. I stopped using my oven. Tonight my top burner started snapping like an arc or short. Yup that’s it for me. I was thinking of buying a Maytag Gas Range as I was brought up on gas and I have a plumber coming this weekend to plumb for Natural Gas but after reading all the negativity on the gas ranges as well I absolutely will not be buying a Maytag now or ever! I expected more from Maytag. :(

I purchased an emerald green washing and dryer (MHW4200BW) by Maytag. Unfortunately, my washing machine broke and I bought the extended warranty. After many visits from the repair company, it was determined that one of the parts needed was on back order indefinitely. Maytag decided that they would replace the washing machine. Sounds like a fair and good deal, however, the washing machine that they are going to replace my unit with is of a different color. Apparently someone in upper management at Maytag made a business decision to stop selling this particular color unit with little to no regards to the customers that had already purchase their product in that color. Had I known that they were going to discontinue the color, then I would have stuck with a standard color like white. At least I would not be faced with having a mismatch unit now because Maytag will not replace both units. To make matters worse, my washing machine and dryer is on the first floor right off my kitchen. It is not stuck in the basement way from company, etc. I am so disappointed in Maytag and their lack of consideration for their customers.

I purchased a Maytag MDBH979SAB0 dishwasher from Home Depot two weeks ago for around $600. I got it installed and it would not turn on. I contacted Maytag and after a few questions, she stated that they would have to send a repairman. After a few days, the repairman arrived and said hed never seen this model before but that we needed a new control panel. After waiting a week with no work, I called Maytag to get an update. The control panel is out of stock and could be a while - they are trying to find one somewhere around the country. They refused to send a replacement dishwasher, even though this was brand new. Their policy says repair, not replace. Dont take the chance purchasing a Maytag dishwasher.

Dont buy their washers. Plain and simple. Will never ever buy Maytag again. This washing machine is garbage and I paid a lot of money for it. 3 months out and it had to have the entire circuit board replaced. I was assured that this was the issue. It has never cleaned our clothing, in fact, they come out twice as dirty and with soap. Weve used the Affresh, weve put as little as 1 tablespoon of detergent, weve triple washed several loads and still ended up having to wash them by hand in the tub. Changing the circuit board did nothing. Weve tried setting it to max fill (which it does) and everything still comes out the same. Its not the water, its not the water hook ups (previous washer worked great but was old, should have kept it). This is the worse product that Ive spent almost a thousand dollars on. Its a paperweight. On top of this, it twists your clothes into a mass. I expect companies to be honest about their products and provide what I paid for. How many times does this washer have to be fixed before you will call it a bad design? Im having to literally do all my laundry by hand for the last 8 months. I want my money back so I can buy a good quality product that works. I could have bought a $300.00 washer that would have done better then this. You want more proof, go read their Facebook replies to all their posts. Its all complaints about their washing machines. It would be nice for once to see a company fess up and say they made a design error. But that wont happen. Their money is more important.

We purchased the Bravos XL washer just over a year ago. It is being replaced 1/10/2017. Simply put this is the worst product I think I have ever encountered. Extremely noisy wash cycles leave residue on the clothes, clothes do not get wet in some spots. This washer is so noisy you can hear it from outside. What an embarrassment. You have to run the clothes twice first with detergent and again without detergent to remove the residue left over from the first wash cycle (not energy efficient at all). If I could give a minus score like minus 10 I would.

MY 8 year old LG front load washing machine died late in 2019. I bought a new front loading MAYTAG machine from a local big box store. It was delivered and set up for me. I had always thought Maytag was a well made product. I wanted to stay with the LG machine, however NO local Repair Service Companies would service it! I was told LG and Samsung were substandard products. (My 9 year old LG clothes dryer is still in good condition).I am truly sorry to say the MAYTAG washer is dreadful. The door locks and cannot be opened the very second you touch the start button. There are fewer wash cycles to chose from. You can never tell if the clothes will spin or be soaked. The door needs to be left ajar and the interior wiped down at end of wash cycle. Etc.. I was ready to call the Store to return the machine - I should have - but I like store. The Maytag price was almost $900. I am very dissatisfied.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator with bottom freezer and French doors, in March of 2015, Model No. MFF2258DEM00. Its adjustable shelves and adjustable door bins were big points in its favor, at least in my eyes. So far both the fridge and freezer cool fine. The automatic ice maker was never connected, so we obviously have had no problems there. However, within a few months of purchase the bar that supports--and provides tracks for--the vegetable and fruit bins broke. It was replaced, but within another few months it had broken again.This is a DESIGN DEFECT that wont be remedied by replacing the item. The bar, which is plastic, hangs from a thin lip about 1/2 long by 1/8 thick. Thats way too flimsy to support the weight of one bin, much less two. There is no way to repair the bar. The entire assemblage needs to be redesigned and remade from sturdier material. Its not simply the inconvenience of having bins that dont operate smoothly. With their track broken, the bins rest on the glass top of the meat and cheese drawer--and threaten to break that. Theyve already caused the door to that drawer to crack.

I also bought a Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW and matching dryer model #MDG5500AWW in 2001 and within a month, I called Sears and Maytag. I told them about the terrible odor and mold growing. The repairman said it is normal and told me to use Tide detergent once every two weeks. The dryer had a major breakdown and I had to buy a whole header with all the electrical components. I too bought the brand name Maytag due to a good reputation that Maytag had. I never received a recall notice or anything from Maytag. I will never buy Maytag products again. I found out from a salesperson at Sears that Maytag was sold to Whirlpool. The salesperson said the reviews are terrible for Maytag products especially for my models. I will never buy from Sears, etc. What can you do for me? Maytag and Whirlpool need to take their responsibility for their products! I am truly lucky I did not buy a plane from them. I and a lot of people would be dead.

This is beyond one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made! It has been about 15 months since purchasing this dishwasher, and as of today it is not working! Blinking start button. I see from the hundreds of disappointed customer comments that I am not alone. With this many people complaining of the same issue, that Maytag should have a recall... I paid about $550. I get that quality does not supersede the almighty dollar, but come on!

We purchased Maytag dishwasher model #MDBH989AW53 in January 2010. June of 2012 the control panel died. Luckily, we had the extended warranty. The service company came and replaced the panel. 3 weeks ago, the panel died again! The service company replaced the panel again. Today I got home and the dishwasher is completely dead! I am so furious!!! At this point, I may just have to bite the bullet and buy a brand new machine. This should NEVER happen to an appliance that is so new! What a laugh regarding the Maytag quality! It is the WORST I have ever seen in my life! Stay away from Maytag!!!! Buyer beware!!!!

THIS PRODUCT IS CRAP!!!! I spend $699.00 at Home Depot, after 1/12 years the console stopped working. Maytags engineering staff should be fired!!! You stole my hard earned money. NOT once, but on a washing machine as well. I will never buy a Maytag product again. HEY NO WONDER THE REPAIR man sits on his ** the rest of the company does too! This Maytag (1979 model) is about as good as other dishwashers (I always rinse before placing in machine). It does have a lot more buttons that are not used than the last one I used (installed in the 1950s). Delayed start, choice of preheating water or not, choice of drying. Not big enough to do everything when have company and too big to use when no visitors present. When I am alone it takes 3 months to get enough to fill the machine and by that time they are getting moldy so most of the time I wash by hand. Black glass front with imposing row of controls across the top. I normally do not generate enough dirty dishes to warrant having a dishwasher. Since my wife died I have used the dishwasher two to three times a year.

We have had this refrigerator, model MFI2665XEM7, less than two years. The ice maker stopped working and we had it replaced at least 6 times in a two month period. We had a solid ice sheet in the bottom of the freezer drawer and it leaks water on the floor constantly! Even today... after another ice maker replacement, we have no ice! I never wanted a Maytag, but finances and the small space we had gave us little choice. I am not sure what our next move is. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again! I should have google this sooner and we could have saved the poor repairman all of those trips!

It had always been my wish to own a Maytag washer and dryer as they were considered THE BEST! Well was I wrong!! I am on the third stainless steel drum, this one has a hole in it, need 4 wheels and pulleys, with service $542.61!!! On the average, I am having a service call every 6 months - last year we were gone for 6 months so no laundry was done, one drum was delivered and was egg-shaped. Maytag has been NO HELP! I am very disappointed with Maytag, their service and product. They HAD an excellent reputation, to me that is everything. Quality, customer service, and their word means nothing to me anymore.

Maytag French Door Fridge Model MFT267AEW10 - Not even 1 month out of warranty and the water line solenoid is leaking. It seems the water line installed at the factory was pulled so tightly that it has caused the solenoid inlet to start leaking. We really researched this refrigerator and thought we were buying the best. Not so, Maytag wont warranty it. The last purchase of Maytag I will ever make. We should have bought the Samsung but we were trying to buy American. Wont make that mistake again. Not a smart investment. Refrigerators are supposed to last a good ten years. How sad.

MVWC565FWO Maytag Top Load - Bought a new washing machine less than six months ago... extremely noisy: Clank, Clank, Clank, Clank, etc. Reviews said it was just noisy, nothing wrong with it. Last week it would not spin the clothes dry. Now when it is plugged in, it does nothing but run the pump! No lights, no water. Also the deep wash was never deep at all - barely covered a modest load of laundry. Repair coming today. Wish I could return it.

I have not been satisfied with this Bravo washer since purchased 4 years ago. I have been holding back anger, hoping things would somehow improve. Clothes are never really cleaned, cant even fill washer with very many clothes because the washer goes off balance. It takes a lot longer to do laundry. Clothes spin so fast they are in knots when I put them in the dryer. I always have to iron clothes. Today, well today we have a leak coming from under the washer somewhere. So please tell me, what is the advantage to having a HE washer again? By the way, no warranty since its been 4 years. I will never buy another one.

Bought DW 2 1/2 years ago. The control panel has a mind of its own, and today it will not even light up. How does a recall happen? I see lots of people having trouble with this model and others as well. A dishwasher should last much longer! Will never buy a Maytag again... and will recommend the same to my friends.

Less than four years ago we purchased a new set of Maytag appliances, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and upright freezer. To date, the only appliance we have not had a problem with is the microwave. The bottom element is not working on our stove model # MER8775AS. We will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool products again. Save yourself time and money!

After 30 months of light use.... two adults in the house, the top of the machine at the ports that allow adding fabric softener and bleach have rusted in a severe way. The machine is rusting away and Maytag customer service will say nothing except, it is out of warranty. I am very sad that I purchased a $719 washer that is falling apart with scant use.... Maytag no longer stands behind the product and I will never buy another one of their appliances again!

Nothing wrong with this dishwasher, a bit noisy, but it gets the dishes clean and thats whats important. This was a builder grade installation and it came with the house so I cant really say its the exact model I would have selected had I been given the opportunity to pick my own.

About 6 years ago we purchased a new french door style refrigerator. It lasted one year and one month then needed over $700 in repairs. First you need to know I am into electronics, DeVry graduate with 30+ years experience in repairing electronic devices. The Maytag basically frosted over in the freezer and was warm in the upper part of the fridge. I called a friend who had experience fixing fridges and lo and behold we found something really unusual.The way this machine operates is by blowing the cold air from the freezer up into the fridge. There is a fan located in the back of the freezer wall that does this. We found the fan, which was mounted in a grey box, spinning at about 2 revolutions a minute. My friend took me to the wholesale parts distributor he uses and we gave them the brand (Maytag) model (MFD2561HES) and they gave us a fan... just a fan with two wires. No grey box with fan inside... At this point I got curious, I mean WTF?!?The grey box was made not to be opened and I had to get clever so as to not damage whatever was inside it. After getting it open I discovered the fan inside was wired to a circuit board which upon inspection was a timing circuit. This is why the fan still turned only too slow to function. The new fan was installed and my only problem with the fridge now is the ice maker, which I disconnected.Conclusion: Maytag actually designed this fridge to break down and require hundreds of dollars of repairs AFTER the warranty expired by installing a timing circuit that disables the fan that drives the cool air to the upper part of the fridge to keep your food cold and your freezer frost free. Replace the grey box with a normal fan and youll get years of good use out of your French Door Maytag! As long as you clean the seals regularly and dont mind buying ice to fill the tray with... The repair cost me $39 and a six pack of beer for my friend.

We bought our Maytag dishwasher at Sears about 2 years ago. It has never cleaned very well, we have to rinse everything almost to the point of spotless before we load it. Its a water saver, which means it takes more than 4 hours to fully cycle. Just today, I went to turn it on and the start button does not work. I looked it up and found that this is a common problem with new Maytag washers. This is really irritating, considering we paid a lot more for the Maytag brand than we would have paid for something without the Maytag reputation. Live and learn, I guess; we certainly will not be buying another Maytag.

I bought Maytag Bravo washer and dryer set in Nov 2012. Washer door lock broke shortly after 1 yr and now the gearbox has broken. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG BRAVO WASHER. The cost to fix is more than the value. Before the gearbox death the sound it made while spinning was so loud you could not hear the TV or have a conversation in the west end of the house. Visitors were stunned at the noise it made. I called Maytag warranty and explained I am having the same issues as everyone else, what are you going to do? The answer was nothing. Im currently standing in front of my washing machine waiting for the 13-minute drain and spin cycle to finish because once again my load didnt drain and finish right. Except it has already been 40 minutes and it claims there is still 9 more left as it continues to sit there doing nothing while it hasnt even started spinning yet. It Sat on 13 minutes while sensing for over 5 minutes, then 12 for 10 minutes while doing nothing, then it changed to 11 minutes and made some weird noises but didnt actually do anything for 15 minutes, and now the timer randomly changed from 11 to 9 without any noises or movement happening and now continues to sit here.I stupidly thought I could spin my clothes real quick to throw them in the dryer before bed and now I stand here extremely tired and very irritated. I also have no doubt some of the clothes will have holes in them when theyre done because they always do, my family looks like were homeless and ratty half the time we get dressed now. Also it never deep cleans thoroughly even on the toughest settings, I swear our socks can be washed 3 times in a row after being soaked all day and still come out crusty or a lot of times the armpits of shirts will still smell or be ultra stained with deodorant marks still.This technology is almost too advanced and everything is decided by sensor, regardless of the registered functions on the buttons it will still do what it wants as the sensors see fit and run when they decide everything is perfect and ready, including taking 10 minutes just to unlock the lid when you pause a load cuase a small child may drown in the foot of water or a person may have their life completely altered by getting a little bit wet if the machine isnt completely drained and in pristine condition before you open the door. This machine is terrible. This company is terrible. And worst of all they drain your wallet for these horrible contraptions. I wish I could rate this 0 stars.

I purchased the Maytag refrigerator MFF2055DRM on 7/7/16 new. It was suppose to be stainless steel; but now I am seeing rust spots at the top and bottom of the French doors. I clean my refrigeration weekly and find it odd that now it is rusting. Also, I am able to place magnets on the doors - which should not be for stainless steel. In addition, I spend over $100 a year replacing the mandatory filters. I must also place the setting to high to maintain my milk and juices. I must also have to place them in the very back of the refrigeration. I am a single senior and my refrigeration is not overloaded with food; nor am I constantly in and out of the refridge. Not very happy.

Maytag washer not draining properly. Called Aug 15 for help. First tech in on August 23, makes a diagnosis, orders part; no news, I call, am given Sep 15 as next date. Come 9/15, I take off from work, only to find out tech cannot come that day, to reschedule. Next tech comes 9/25 with a different diagnosis and different part to order. By October 3, an announcement that part came in, to make an appointment. By now, its been a month and a half, I am so angry. I call a friend, who fixes it in 15 minutes by simply clearing a clogged drain filter. This is unacceptable: the inordinate wait, incompetent techs, unresponsiveness from customer service. I cancelled my contract with Maytag Warranty/AIG.

When purchasing a microwave for our kitchen the Maytag MMV4203DB00 had all the functions I wanted. Just after a year its quite cooking. The fan would still run but not heat anything. I called Maytag and was told basically, tough luck. I said something about Maytag, that it was supposed to be a great brand and should last longer than 1 year. The part to fix it plus labor was going to cost nearly as much as a new microwave to replace it. Now, the microwave has started to turn on by itself. Customer service was very rude and came off with a we dont really care attitude. I will never buy Maytag again.

We purchase a matching Maytag washer and dryer set and within the first three months our washer began to give us error codes and would not wash our clothes completely on any cycle. It was repaired and we began to have the same issues within the next couple of months. This all happened within the first year. We called customer service about extending our service warranty due to the multiple malfunctions of this washer. We were given the run around and, quite frankly, the attitude that this was not their problem. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG PRODUCT! This review is for a Maytag Gemini MGT8775XW 30 Freestanding Double-Oven Gas Range w/ 5 Burners. I cannot believe the amount of problems I have had from this $2000+ range. Within just a few weeks of getting it, the paint started scratching off the surfaces nearest the heat. Then, the plastic cover over the digital display and controls bubbled up due to the heat of the broiler being in use. They designed it so that the heat escapes from the oven right in front of the control panel, so when you want to adjust temperatures on the control panel, you chance getting burnt from the hot air every time.The very worst design are the manual knobs for the burners on the front. They are at an angle, and if you look at the oven straight on, you see they are higher than the burner surface. A hot pan that overhangs the burner cooks the knobs. The plastic interior of the knob lacks any kind of heat resistance and actually starts to turn soft, keeping you from being able to turn off the burner at all!Most dangerous of all, the knobs are frighteningly easy to bump, pouring gas into your house. We have had this problem multiple times. Today, my dog must have wanted to investigate the top of the stove, because when I came home, the burner was on, had burnt through a pot on the stove, and was just at the ignition point for an item sitting next to the stove. If I had come home 15 minutes later, my house would be in flames right now. I am having to air out my home as I type this. I am DONE with this dangerous oven and will be shopping for a new one, and it certainly wont be Maytag.

I bought a Maytag Washer Bravos XL approximately 13 months ago. To be exact, July 16th, 2016 through Home Depot. Model #MVW8775DW. Since I bought, the washer shakes, and doesnt complete the cycle as it gets stuck on the spin cycle. I have called Maytag and they have sent out a technician... They have told me that there is nothing they can do. I told Maytag that their product was a lemon and this should not happen... And to please it with one that is not defective. Since then, the cycle does complete, but the clothes are soaking wet and I have to run the cycle again, just on the spin cycle.

In 2011, we purchased this Maytag Centennial MVWC200XW1 washer. It will not complete the cycle when it goes into rinse and spin, will not empty water and once the cycle starts, it sounds like someone is inside with a hammer banging on the basket. Clothes come out with a powder residue on them and several pieces have had holes. Called Maytag and was told there was no service available in our area. I will never purchase another Maytag product. Used by two adults a couple of times a week, this machine should be trashed. I have to hand-wring our laundry as we cannot afford to replace at this point. My last washer was a GE and I had it for over 20 years, we replaced it because we moved into a new home thinking Maytag was the best out there. I checked for a recall because there are so many complaints on other sites but found none. We purchased from Home Depot and of course, they are no help.

I bought a Maytag Bravos washing machine from Lowes in Ocala in Feb 2017. It broke in March 2017. I was referred to a company called Fields Appliance in Orlando Fl. I scheduled a repair under warranty last Friday between 1-4 pm. No one showed up. No one called. I called and called and nothing. BEWARE.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher to match other appliances in kitchen. Work great, not loud and gets dishes clean. Have owned it for 10 years and have one problem with the door latch. But it was easy and inexpensive to replace.

I live alone and bought this unit for long life. After a few short not-used-much years, my washer sounded like a 747 was landing in my laundry room. I am a maintenance person, so I did a bit of troubleshooting and narrowed it down to the bearings installed in plastic on the outer tub that failed. My cost was $600.00 to $750.00, parts alone. It still worked, just very noisy on high spin.I emailed Maytag (now Whirlpool) and was phoned by Lee Ann. I told her I had all Maytag appliances in my home and was laid off and that if after the use this washer has had and it will cost this much if I do the work, I was not impressed with this company. She apologized and told me she will issue me an extended warranty for $299.00 that will cover it. I told her that without a job, I cannot make a decision so fast. She gave me the next business day to decide. I concluded it was cheaper than the part, so I called her back. I was scheduled for a repair, and the man opened the front and looked at it and said it was an outer tub bearing. He went to his laptop in his truck and returned to tell me that they would not authorize that expense and that all they would authorize was $350.00. He put the front of the washer on, then as if he forgot something, took it back off and reached way in the back and did something. Then, he reinstalled the front. I was livid! They charged me $299.00 for a warranty and would not repair! So I called back and was hung up on. Next, I called my credit card and disputed the charge. I tried to use the washer, and it made funny sounds and then filled up my home with smoke and stopped working. I called Maytag again, and he denied the repairman would tell me how much they would authorize to repair it and told me good news that they would issue a $174.00 check. I gave $299.00, and a few days later, they give me $174.00? This is why Whirlpool is destined to fail. I will never buy again, and I will wash in my laundry tub first! This is exactly why imports will rule! So Whirlpool, you got me for the last time!

I purchased a Maytag dryer (MDE2400AZW) 2 years ago, but have only been using it for the last year - and fairly infrequently, as this is a dryer that my guests use. I called Home Depot where I bought the dryer (along with the washer). I thought I had purchased an extra warranty, but turns out I only had it on the washer - what was I thinking. I wish I had read these reviews before I made my purchase. My local repair man charged me $192.00 for a new heater and his time. Theres a whole 90-day warranty on the new heater!! I sure hope this one lasts more than a year otherwise Ill be buying a new dryer and it wont be Maytag.

I would not buy a Maytag again. I am very disappointed with the noise level this dishwasher produces. I am also not happy with the inside capacity. I never have enough room for all the dishes when I have dinner parties.

We were offered a Maytag microwave with our newly built home two years ago. I do not know if it was a good value for the money compared to other brands as I did not price or feature shop for this oven. But the oven has worked well since we moved in.

Maytag Front load washer mah8700aww - This washer has been the biggest boat anchor of a machine. Nothing but trouble and bad parts. New motor after 18 months, water level sensor at 2 years, main control board twice now at 2 years and 4 years, and now it is showing signs of needing yet another main board. E3 trouble code plagues our home and basement. This machine has been leveled and re-leveled numerous times and still shakes like crazy... I mix my paint cans by setting them on the top... the best use for this machine. Yes it sits on a concrete floor. So not satisfied and will not ever buy another Maytag anything. There should be a negative star rating. It does not deserve even 1 star after being taken advantage of like we and thousands of others have been.

Ive had my Maytag microwave (MMV4203DS00) for a little over two years. I started getting SE error code. The control touch pad membrane is shorted out. I suspect because the design doesnt allow it to be an over-the-range even though thats the kind of microwave it is! I think the humidity from the burners shorted out the membrane. I called the company and the part would cost approximately $180 for me to fix myself. I have a really hard time believing that one part of a $200 microwave costs $180. Ridiculous. It appears this microwave is designed to fail. Customer service was rude and snarky. The company doesnt appear to stand behind their product. Maytag used to mean something. I had started to replace all my kitchen appliances - microwave, then stove. I thought Id be consistent and buy Maytag based on their reputation. I will never buy Maytag again.

One month after warranty we had our first issue which cost us $380. Kinda my fault I was told by repair guy... My bra underwire came out during wash and destroyed the part we had to replace. Then a year later during spin cycle it sounds like an airplane taking off for about 10 minutes. Its so loud we cant even hear our TV! So guessing its bearings gone bad now? Which is a very difficult part to replace. And pricey. So guessing a new washer is in our future. We previously owned a Maytag washer and had it for 15 years and it still worked fine, we just wanted to upgrade. Big mistake! I wouldnt wish this washer on my enemies. I think the repair guys sets it to mess up when they do this reset thingy. Lol. Cause within a month of the renewed warranty we purchased was expired is when the 2nd issue began. I think the older washer are better because all this newer technology stuff is crap!! My advice do not buy Maytag Bravos series washer unless youve got lots of cash for repairs!!

The Maytag Neptune TL washing machine has always been extremely loud! It smells awful and now our clothes too! I have found mold in the washer and cannot get it all out even with bleach. My children are extremely allergic to mold and they have had problems because of this. I am very disappointed in this washer and find it sad that no kind of action has taken place to help people who have bought them.

After a year, the plastic parts of Maytag dishwasher is breaking and upstairs propeller is no longer running. Do not buy this product. I made that mistake.

The fridge has a grinding noise that is getting worse, by the day. I cannot seem to define the exact location of problem, whether the freezer or the fridge. Maytag you stink, and your web site stinks, too.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos washer approx. 2.5 years ago. I cannot even begin to describe how disgusted I am with this washer. My clothes i.e. towels come out ripped on the edges, clothes do not get clean, shirts etc come out wrinkled no matter what setting used. It is not energy efficient because loads of laundry need to be washed twice if they are soiled (like our everyday jeans). Went back to the independent store where I purchased washer and was told to use only the bulky or gentle/delicates cycles to reduce rips in clothing. Such a complete waste of money, and it was not cheap!

On May 11, 2010, I purchased a Maytag washing machine from Lowes. On June 22, 2011, the machine wouldnt empty out on the rinse cycle. Lowes was called as the machine was only one month out of warranty. They dispatched Appliance Plus for a service call which would be $80.00 just to diagnose the problem. It turns out the machine needs three parts - a timer, an ATC switch, and a rinse switch. All totaled, this will add up to over $300.00, plus the $80.00 for the service call.Appliance Plus tried to contact Whirlpool to see if Whirlpool would at least pay for parts, being it was only one month out of warranty. The answer took 5 days and the request was denied. I was told I should contact Lowes Service Advantage and maybe they could contact Whirlpool for a special consideration, again, being it was only one month out of warranty. I made the call and they said to give them two business days turn-around for an answer. On June 30th, Lowes said Whirlpool was looking for the serial number and I provided it. They told me to give them another 2 business days turn-around. On July 3rd, I again called Lowes and they informed me that they still hadnt heard from Whirlpool. Finally, on July 7th, I received a call from Lowes saying Whirlpool denied the request.

Barbara ** purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer. The washer did not perform anywhere near the advertised and EXPECTED performance. A letter was written to the Maytag Customer Center on July 12, 2014 complaining about the washers inability to clean or rinse clothes effectively. As of this date we have had NO direct contact from Maytag. After reading many reviews and noting that I have seen over 700 people which had issues with this machine, I wish that I had never purchased from Maytag. I have had to purchase a new machine to replace this useless Maytag. When I ask a used appliance dealer if he would be interested in purchasing my Maytag Bravos, his reply was, I dont want any Maytag Bravos in my store.I have made an effort to obtain some type of satisfaction from Maytag, but to no avail. I would like 100% refund for this purchase. If Maytag does not meet the expectations of its customers, then I feel that a class action law suit should be started through consumer affairs. When you cant even get a used appliance dealer to purchase a used Maytag Bravos, then there is a real problem with the product. The purchase price was $616.55. A total waste!!

This is the WORSE POS I have ever owned/used/etc.... our clothes are dirty, w/ a scummy film, really bad in most cases. Some have weird stain appear that werent there. Electric & water bills up. Have to always use deep water wash, double rinse. My clothes are wet when I put them in due to sensor fill (extra weight), also a zillion mesh bags. Clothes are getting trashed, faded so bad & smell bad. Having to use a cleansing product monthly, in one aspect, should encourage the engineers that signed off on this POS to change careers. Maytag customer service says no complaints have been filed!!! Horse **!!! $ 800.00, trashed, unclean, wrinkled to the point of almost needing to iron all your clothes. I have been going to the laundromat. Engineers should have been FORCED to use this machine at least 2 months.... good reviews my **.

After one year of service from our Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher with Toughscrub the circuit board went out. I have been seeing and hearing other people complaining about this problem. We purchased this device based in large part on Maytags reputation for reliability. I am not happy with this machine. I will complain to the company and write another review based on the results. I suggest Maytag goes back to the old knobs until they can assemble and protect the circuit board, which I believe was damaged by heat and moisture.

We purchased a TOP of the line Maytag dishwasher with the expectation that we were also purchasing high quality. Boy, were we wrong. Continuous problems with the controls since out of warranty. The controls are in the door and operate pushbutton from top. This is electronic pushbutton not actual pushbuttons.MDB89595SBS.

I bought the Bravo XL HP Washer and Dryer in 2014. Dryer is great but the washer just after having it 1 yr started making awful noises. Had a repair man come which cost me money and was told the bearing went out and I needed a new one. He said it would cost over 700.00. I didnt fix it as I could buy a new one for that price. I did that. I hate the washer. It doesnt get the clothes clean and the cycles are long. My clothes dont feel or look as good. I have to leave the top open or it smells awful. So, I got the new washer 1 yr after the other one in 2015. It is now 2016 and it is making noises. Theses washers need to be recalled and we should be able to get a different one or our money back. Please, do something about these washers as a lot of us are stuck with them.

I purchased Model #MGR7661XB (Gas Cooktop and Oven) in November 2009. From the very beginning, we realized it was a mistake and looking back, we should have sent it back.The finish, both on the stove as well as the burner racks (the removable grate that the pan sits on when cooking) has some sort of coating that instead of repelling grease and food seems instead to actually attract it. Any hot liquid or grease actually seems to melt into the finish and becomes impossible to remove. Essentially, our stove was ruined within the first week. We have even tried putting a scouring pad on a wooden spoon and scrub with as much force as we can muster - to no effect. Short of using a putty knife, and completely destroying the finish, I cant think of any way to resolve it.As for Self-Cleaning ... yeah, right. Use for entertainment purposes only. It doesnt clean at all.The latest issue is now the oven lights about 20% of the time. The broiler still works and we have discovered that we can trick the stove by allowing the broiler to heat up the stove to about 200 degrees first - then, when the oven is already hot, the oven part will ignite.Speaking of igniting ... from the beginning, this stove has the loudest ignition system I have ever heard. You can hear it ignite click/pop from two rooms away and the oven cycles on/off every 10 min. or so. It is very annoying.All I can say is, never again will I buy another Maytag. This was supposed to be the upgraded sealed burner model (which also is impossible to clean). This stove is only 4 years old but it was a mistake from the beginning. Like I said, I should have returned it after the first week.

Product number MMV4205DS. Beautiful, felt solid. Right away when we would put in a time to cook and hit start, the thing would say Open Close Door. First we thought it was moisture, and we would wipe the seal, then lifting the door a little helped. A month might go by and we would repeat this process. I did a little research and found the microwave is known for this. After the warranty was up, it got worse. My husband put a little screwdriver in the door clamp. The plastic guard that held the door shut fell behind the opening. Mulling over whether to call for repairs or buy a new one, we decided the latter. I am buying another one just like it, because the holes in the wall will match for an easy swap and it matches my suite. This time I took out the 3 year warranty, which I will hold Maytag responsible for any more problems. They say if they come and fix it 4 times in a year they will declare it a lemon and replace. I figure this will work in my favor because the microwave lasts a year!

Maytag is a reputable company and my centennial washer has been going strong for over 6 years. My only complaint is that if it gets slightly scratched by objects placed on top temporarily, it starts to rust there.
