Paul Tyler new chief executive of CIH Euronics

CIH, part of Euronics, appointed Paul Tyler as new chief executive, starting on January 11 2022. Previously, Tyler had some relevant professional experience in the home appliances sector: he was channel director, retail and consumer products at BSH Home Appliances, sales director for Siemens, and sales and marketing director for Gaggenau. Before working for BSH, the manager spent 21 years at Miele.
«I am joining CIH at an exciting time – Tyler commented -. The company has enjoyed a record growth in sales and membership through 2021. CIH has substantially increased its warehouse and distribution offering and is continuing to support its members during the pandemic and current supply chain challenges. This outstanding performance demonstrates the benefits of buying locally from an independent electrical retailer and I am looking forward to building on this very strong CIH presence in the years ahead.»
Steve Scogings, chairman of CIH, expressed his satisafction for the appointment of Paul Tyler: «The board and I have worked tirelessly to find a suitable replacement to take the business forward and believe we have now found the ideal candidate in Paul Tyler. This is an extremely challenging but rewarding role. Paul’s industry knowledge and passion for independent retailers has always driven his career. We believe he will be an invaluable asset to the company and will help us embark on a new chapter that will cement our position as the leading buying group in the market.»
