Our Viking works really well and its a good range all around. Thats why we use them. I like the broil feature on it. We had to have one of the burners swapped out and the fire bar underneath adjusted on the last range we purchased. It was really smooth to deal with customer service and the rep that came out was amazing. On the whole, the Viking range is expensive but its worth it. I wish I could have gotten a bigger one. I just didnt have room in this house.

I like the durability, functionality, and ease of use of Viking ranges. We went to a Pacific Sales store very close to us. And my wife and I loved the 8-burners. We bought a Viking range and a few other Vikings such as microwave, dishwasher, and the hood. However, Pacific Sales screwed up the sales and they were not knowledgeable at all. There were delays in the delivery, and then when they scheduled it to come, we had to call multiple times. At one time, they delivered it to the wrong address, too, and the credit card that they charged was another issue. So, Viking really should check to see how Pacific Sales sell because of the experience. We finally got our purchase and we installed it, and I have nothing but good things to say about the look, the layout, the design, and the functionality. I love the burners and I love to cook. If I want to put something, I get a good enough heat in there, and that stuff is very good. I also like the traditional knobs. With the other companies, you really have to guess which knob to turn which burner on. The Viking is designed so well. Im very pleased with it. And now Im dealing with the rebate, which Im dealing directly with Viking. I sent them all the receipts to work on my rebates and I havent heard anything back from them yet. Also, when I call for the customer support, there was a lack of knowledge. And then, the website is designed for us to register there and its not as friendly as I want it to be and even though, when I call customer support and asked them, they didn’t know. So, I still hadnt registered my products with them yet.

We have Viking in our primary home and we like the quality of the appliances as well as the pricing for the quality that we get. So we got the whole package, wherein if you pull up the stove you get the dishwasher, and if you buy the refrigerator you get the hood. We like all of it and how the refrigerator looks in addition to how it functions. We also had a very good experience with the dealer.

Viking did make good on the situation and replaced the dishwasher. A premium product needs the vendor to stand behind their product and in this case Viking has done so. Good on them. I am sure the new one will be much better than the previous.

I have a 6 year old Viking Range that I am sending to the scrap heap because after 2 years and dozens of repair visits, Viking cannot repair it. It is a 48 unit with 2 ovens which intermittently work. At first they told me that they couldnt repair it unless they were there when it malfunctioned. After hundreds of dollars spent on repair parts, it finally malfunctioned while the repairman was there and installed Vikings prescribed new parts, and they still cant figure it out nor are they offering me to replace it. I am very dissatisfied with their product and their response to the problems that I have had with it.

We had a Viking refrigerator for 15 years and it was built-in. It was good until it conked out. We had to go with the same refrigerator because we happen to have certain size constrictions. I called Viking because we needed a specific size and I was checking on all the measurements on the 48-inch. The gal told me that it should all work out as far as the fit because we didnt want it to get here and not have it fit in its space. I also asked about the pricing so that I knew I wasnt going to be ripped off. The new refrigerator is updated and it seems to have a better seal. Theres also supposed to be a thing inside where we never have to clean it. Id like my refrigerator to last longer than 15 years because its expensive. Thats like 1,000 a year when you add it up and I dont wanna have to pay that for a refrigerator. They said that the new one supposedly is gonna be lasting longer. Im hoping thats true and so far, it seems to be fine.

A friend of ours referred Viking Ranges to us, and it’s probably the best product and we like it. It was easy enough to use. The filter on the fridge isn’t working properly and I hear a buzzing sound every now and then. I called Viking to let them know and I also replaced the filter, but I still hear that buzzing sound, so I don’t know if that’s an issue that they have. Still, Viking is good.

We bought a Viking refrigerator 15 years ago. We purchased a new refrigerator to replace one that wasnt working anymore. We had no choice but to buy another Viking because we invested in cabinetry and it’s the only thing that would fit. However, it doesnt fit even if the specs said it would. It was a disappointment. The current model is two inches deeper than the original side by side that fit in the 24-inch cabinet. Viking would not take it back but the appliance company would, but we had looked at other side-by-side models. We would have had to use a stainless and our panel wouldn’t fit. In addition, nobody makes a counter depth refrigerator anymore. Wed have to invest in the columns to do that, and they’re significantly more expensive. We’re stuck with the Viking refrigerator. Also, they gave us a deal and we had gotten a dishwasher for free that came along with the refrigerator. Vikings specs need to be more accurate in terms of calling something counter depth when it’s really not counter depth. The refrigerator freezes things on the top shelf. Then we had a hinge problem. We had people out of here twice to fix the hinges. The door is also extremely heavy and has a metal compartment on the door. And it’s much heavier than the other unit. Although its a great refrigerator, I’m not enamored with Viking products. I also own a second Viking, a 36 inch with a lower freezer, which is still working after 15 years.

I could kick myself for not reading these reviews before buying Viking!!! Built a new home with all Viking appliances. Serious quality problems on everything except the range....so far. They are not a refrigerator company or a dishwasher company. I am as far to say they cheap quality! We absolutely wish we could go back to our GE or Maytag kitchens. In 2 new house with GE and Maytag and 15 years we did not even have 1 service call. Viking in 1 year of our 3rd new house 3 problems with ref. and just a bad dishwasher (never dries). Frustrated and feel terrible that I spent $10,000 over our budget to get Viking to end up with this level of quality and service.

The ice machine in our Viking Refrigerator doesnt work. Ive had a service technician out because its still under warranty but they cant get the parts. They cant even confirm when theyre going to fix it. I’ve known Viking products for years. In fact, all of our appliances are Viking. We got the lower end model of refrigerator. Im not an expert on refrigeration, but I dont think that its up to par with other units at its price range. Their upper end models may be totally different but the ice maker design of this unit is not good and it needs to be changed. We cant pull the drawer out because the bearings had gone bad. So, the ice making location or the way it works is not good. Now, I cant even get parts for it but the parts are backlogged. They said its going to take over a month to six weeks to get them. They need to keep these parts in inventory. I can understand if theyre not readily available that day but I hope we could get them within a week. Six weeks is ridiculous. They cant even confirm when theyre going to get the parts, and theyre saying hopefully by Thanksgiving which is not good.

We initially looked at different models and ended up getting a better deal with Viking. Everything we bought came in with the package, which was nice. The dealer tried to work with us to get the best deal. The conventional oven in the gas top works great as well as the broiler, but unfortunately, the convection part of the oven doesnt work so weve had to put in a service call for it. Its a little disappointing since its brand new and thats an issue. Additionally, since that supplier is out of state, we took a couple of days to find out who could supply the Viking range. I had to call them back and then they gave me the name of the supplier, then the supplier took a day or two just to have them call me back. Luckily it was close to the area that we were, but the rep was getting calls from people from New York and other states so not too many people service them. Overall my Viking range looks great and I had great interactions with the people, but theyre lacking in servicing.

We live far out so it was hard to find a Viking dealer. The closest to us was three hours away. But the dealer we had was very accommodating. He gave us all the information we needed. We bought a stove and it was challenging to setup because we did it ourselves. Getting the gas connected in the back was difficult. It was in a hard to reach location so unless one has the right tools, it was hard to do from a laymans perspective. We finally called somebody in to do it for us.My husband said that the grills over the burners are big. You have to balance a small pan on it but it has worked. Ive done it and it seems sturdy. The stove works well and I like that its just a basic range. It holds the heat for me which, my other stove gave up on. It doesnt have all the computer parts, which is what our other stove gave us issues with. The motherboard in the other gas range we had went out three times and it was very frustrating.

We purchased a new Viking all refrigeration unit and it has been nothing but trouble. Ice forms on the back wall and around the fan unit. The fan started to make a terrible noise because it was hitting the ice. Hadco (the Viking rep in Florida) has sent repairmen a number of times, but the issue is still not solved. It appears to me to be an engineering problem as there is no positive seal when the door closes. This would allow humidity to build up inside the unit. We have used Sub Zero before, but the Viking unit appeared to be better designed - it is not. I am in the process of trying to arrange for a replacement refrigerator.

I had to cycle through four Thermador ranges in a year and I decided to switch to Viking because I knew it would be more reliable even though it didn’t have all the features that I wanted. From the time I bought 2 top-of-the-line Viking dishwashers, I have had problems. I am noticing that most people in this room experienced similar laissez-faire attitude from Viking who must have bounced me from one representative to another a good 5 times over the years, only to tell me that my warranty ran out. One lady tried to help me but was swiftly replaced and I never got the attention this needed. $4500 spent and most wash (all of them) end with error/fault codes and need resetting. This message, I hope, will discourage people from being lured into believing that Viking is a stand up company and that they place good emphasis on making sure the client is taken care of. Additionally, where I think they really should rethink the way they treat clients, is that in my case, I am looking to replace refrigerator, freezer and 60 inch cooking surface. They will be missing out on this (however small) amount of revenues. If anyone gets thru to management or customer service for any kind of help, I would like to know about it as I am not yet able to replace it for a competitor and would still like Viking to make me whole on this bad purchase.

13 years ago, when we built our house, we bought a Viking refrigerator. About two years ago, we put $1100 into it because it quit working. The guy said it was better than new then about three months ago the refrigerator door fell off. They gave us a whole new one so now I have a new Viking Refrigerator. However, I dont like it as well as my old one because I dont think it holds as much. And already, the plastic is cracked in one of the drawers and I dont know how it happened. We had that problem with the old one, but not this soon. The drawer in the new unit is not extra full, it goes in by itself, and you just give it a little shove and it slides in. I like that feature and its better for me. But my other one have more of a tall shelf on one side so taller things would fit like a wine bottle say and its pretty. Their reps are very nice and they were very good about getting us a new refrigerator. When our refrigerator door fell off, luckily it only grazed my husband. It hit him on the shoulder but he was walking away from it. But it did damage my covered and wood floor. Theres also a big gouge out of my cabinet doors which Ive had somebody come to look at and theres no way that it can be fixed. It has to be replaced. Some of the boards on the floor have to be replaced too which means that they have to redo my whole floor because its an open hardwood floor. In their email to us, Viking said that they wanted our homeowners to do it. I checked with my homeowners and found that its going to raise my insurance. We have a $1500 deductible. So Im in the process of getting bids to send to Viking. Im not happy about that part of it and if it had hurt my husband worse, theyd have a lawsuit on their hands. Also, I feel that we werent notified of this problem with the Viking and were lucky there wasnt any grandkids here.

We’ve had a lot of Viking products in our time but never a refrigerator. So, I thought it was a good brand and we’d give it a shot. Also, I liked the way it looked. Ive had the refrigerator for a couple of months and Im very happy with its quality. I like the new LED lights and the French doors. The refrigerator is beautiful and it works well. Our previous refrigerator was a Sub-Zero, and Viking has more cubic feet of space than the Sub-Zero. The interactions with the Viking reps were fine. We bought it at Best Buy and had a helpful sales clerk there. We happen to hit a sale which also helped out. They provided delivery service and that was seamless. The guys carried the refrigerator in and placed it on the floor. They hooked up the icemaker, pushed it back in the hole, turned it on, and away they went.

We saved up and purchased our Viking Duel Fuel Professional 36 range in 200
We saved up and purchased our Viking Duel Fuel Professional 36 range in 2005. Within the first year, the igniters failed to light the burners. We were told by the local repair that it would cost $600-$800 to replace parts. We chose to manually light the burners which we have now been doing for six years. Another part that failed within the first couple of years of owning the range was the relay switch. We smelled an electrical fire smell and discovered the switch that had fired and replaced it ourselves. The switch failed again last summer and a Viking Pro Service replaced it at the cost of $169.00. Now, two weeks before Christmas with all the holiday baking looming, my Viking Professional Range is failing again. Two more relay switches have repeatedly burned leaving the conclusion that there is something wrong in the wiring or electrical. I cant believe the troubles and cost that this expensive range has caused.

We bought a home with an Italian Fhiaba refrigerator. We had a lot of problems with it and we had to replace it. It cannot be repaired and we only had a certain amount of money that the manufacturer had given us to purchase another refrigerator. The Viking was on sale and thats why I purchased it. It was not my first choice though. The drawers for produce, meats and cheese storage bins are so cheap and I was shocked at the interior for a Viking product. I was sad to lose my Italian refrigerator which was well-made and had beautiful interiors. I would not have bought the Viking refrigerator but it was at the right price, so I ended up with it. But would I buy another one? Absolutely not. We purchased a completely renovated home, and all the appliances were Vikings. The six-burner gas stove and the microwave are all okay, and they work great. But I would not recommend the refrigerator. When I knew I had to replace my previous refrigerator, I went onto several websites to read reviews, and very few of them were good. But my husband wasnt going to spend more money because we bought a house with a $10,000 refrigerator that ended up not working after two years. Even the plastic inside of a Sears Kenmore refrigerator is better. Viking has these soft close drawers for cheese and veggies, which are awful. I have to treat them with kid gloves, because Im afraid theyre going to break on me at any given moment. The company that owns Viking make commercial grade refrigerators and U-Line is one of their products. Its an amazing refrigerator. Why dont they use some of the same materials? Viking has been synonymous with high-end quality. But they really fell short on this one. Looks good on the outside, poor quality on the inside.

All of our appliances are Viking, which is a high-end brand. But I guess Viking is new with refrigeration. The quality of the refrigerator we got from them has been horrible. It does not hold the temperature. It freezes everything that its not supposed to freeze in the actual refrigerator side of it and its very loud when it makes ice. It doesnt have any special feature other than a normal refrigerator. It doesnt even have the water feature. So were having some very big issues with it and would never buy a Viking again. But when we had a couple of other issues with the refrigerator not having some proper framing, the team members at the Viking dealer have been very good to work with and have shown up on time.

The service couldnt be worse. The 48 refrigerator unit overall is very nice - unfortunately the support staff is awful. This will be my last Viking unless something changes fast! I spent over $20,000.00 on a complete Viking appliance replacement for 15-year-old Whirlpool Gold appliances. Most expensive mistake I ever made. The dishwasher does not dry the dishes at all and the inside of the dishwasher is always wet after a cycle. The refrigerator is very noisy and the condenser fan is louder than a jet engine when running on full. Freezer items have frost on them and I can only hope it does not break down in the near future. The convection microwave does not even pop popcorn correctly (or at all) unless bag is placed on a bowl turned upside down? Convection cooktop seems to be working okay as does the oven thus far. I have had several repair calls on the refrigerator with no repairs. One repair person indicated it was supposed to be loud. Do yourself a favor and buy Kenmore Elite or something else besides Viking for 1/3 the cost and 100 times better quality. I want my Whirlpool Gold back (as well as my $20,000.00). Viking needs to wake up before they go out of business. Is there a lemon law for appliances. These are all appliance purchased in late 2013 and I am already looking to replace them all.

After spending $25K on high end, top of the line appliances my response, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK! I should have stuck with Sears or GE. What went wrong: 1) MW door needed to be replaced out of the box. Kept sticking closed and would not open. Had to have it serviced. At least it was under warranty; 2) Wine cooler fan motor stopped working within the first month. Needed to be replaced. Replaced under warranty; 3) Beverage center relay needed to be replaced. Had I been able to buy one from a supplier it would have cost $45 dollars. NO I had to get the part from Viking $475.00!!! No Warranty. 4 year old appliance. Beverage center door seal had to be replaced after one year. Under warranty. 4) $5900 Refrigerator! EVERY interior drawer CRACKED AND SPLIT after 4 years of operation and had to be replaced for $500 dollars!!! Its get WORSE. The freezer door rusted after one year. Had to be replaced. Thank g-d it was under warranty.Came home to a refrigerator in cardiac arrest 5 years after being placed in service. Alarms going off. Food spoiled. This was just after spending $200 shopping for the week. Turned out the 3 phase rectifier was toast. No warranty. $545 to replace it. Then one day later alarms going off again. Serviceman comes out finds coolant level low. Cant find the reason. Says there is a small undetectable leak. Fills the system. No WARRANTY. $400 more dollars; 5) $2500 dollar under counter professional ice machine. Pump stopped working. Next the temp probe stopped working. Fixed under warranty. Then the temp probe went out again. I finally unplugged the unit and there it sits today unplugged. More junk. Contact Viking. Response, YOURE ON YOUR OWN. No nothing! JUNK STAY AWAY. We moved in a brand new building and a Viking range came with our place. Its brand new and it seems to be of good quality, but it seems to take a very long time to pre-heat the oven and were not sure if thats normal. Its certainly not the case in my older cooktop. Well call consumer department and see what they say. On the stove part, I have to make coffee and I set down a diffuser because the openings on this grate are too large to hold my little Bialetti coffeemaker. It works much better than when I put it directly on the burner like I do at home, which is also a Viking, so we like that. We purchased this unit, Viking Refrigerator DDSB423SS, when we remodeled our kitchen in September of 2006 at a cost of $6,000! We also purchased the 5 year extended warranty. We have had ongoing issues with the unit, but most recently it has become unbearable. On Feb 17, 2012, the unit stopped cooling. Everything in the freezer melted. I contacted Carl Schaedel & Co, the authorized repair company in my area. They could not come to diagnose the problem until 11 days later, February 28th. When they came, I had to pay them $189 for the service call. I then received a call from the office indicating that it was a problem with the sealed system, and that the cost of parts and labor to repair the unit was covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, but my $189 fee was not returnable. Furthermore, the first available appointment to come to do the repair was three weeks later, March 19th! Mind you, both my husband and I work for a living, so in addition to not having a refrigerator, we have to take time off from work to deal with this. On March 19th, 2012, the service man came and replaced the mother board. The refrigerator appeared to be working after the mother board was installed. He told me to wait 24 hours before using, which we did. After 24 hours it seemed okay, it was making ice etc. So, I went grocery shopping and purchased $175 worth of fresh and frozen items, put them in the unit and 6 hours later, I opened the freezer and everything had melted. Furthermore, now there appears to be a broken gasket, which was not broken prior to the service call, so the door is not sealing properly when closed. On March 21, my husband called Carl Schaedel again. At this point, he was angry and frustrated so he gave the long list of issues over the years and then indicated that the March 19th repair did not fix the problem and he also mentioned the broken gasket. It took 8 days to get another service call. On March 28, a different repair person came to the house. He walked in to the house and within 30 seconds said that it’s not a problem with the mother board, it’s something else. But he did not have the part on the truck. He will have to order the part! He did however have the new gasket which he put on the door and then told my husband to pay him for that since its not covered under warranty! My husband made him put the broken gasket back on. Why on earth would we pay for a repair to a refrigerator we cant use anyway? So today is March 30. I have just gotten off the phone with Carl Schaedel customer service rep again, asking when the tech will come to do the repair. I was told that she does not have the report from the tech yet, that it usually takes 24 hours. Okay, well its been 36 hours. I am now waiting for her to call me back, to tell me when they will come and whether or not it is covered under the warranty! We have been without a fridge for 6 weeks now. We have two kids and have been living out of a cooler! Doing our best to shop for breakfast and lunch items that dont require refrigeration but dinners have been tough, so we have been eating out most nights which we cannot afford! We also have a Viking 6 burner range which also had problems and had to be repaired several times, but that is another long story and my major concern right now is the fridge, as the situation is really debilitating. We are, beside ourselves and after reading the numerous other complaints, it appears we are not alone. Is there nothing that can be done? I am sure the CEO of Viking is very well to do, at the expense of us consumers. I have seen references to a class action suit. I am willing to participate, will even take a leadership role in making it happen, but I have no idea how to go about this. Can anyone assist? Please?!

We got the dishwasher, the microwave, the fridge, the stove, and the stove top from Viking. We got it all, so it all matches and we liked all the appliances. We checked all the warranties and we also took out an extended warranty on the refrigerator. Viking is making the refrigerators here in the United States, which may help prevent some of the breakdowns that we read online. The dealer was great and he knew the product very well. However, my wifes complaining because the refrigerator doesnt look like it makes enough ice. We had somebody come out there, but I would have to have someone else come out. When we had the Viking installed, the guys from Best Buy were supposed to install and make sure it was put in right. However, the cabinet wasnt quite done. When they came back out, they wouldnt mount the fridge in and they had no tools to do it either. They left the fridge there, and I had to mount it myself. But overall, our experience with Viking was fine. They called and they came out, and all the appliances work. I would recommend them.

Friends recommended the Viking refrigerator, and its name-brand and model made me go with it. It has a feature of ice in its door, and its my favorite. The quality is okay, but I had to do one repair recently. Ive also changed the refrigerator once since 2004. There was an issue with something and they offered to upgrade, so we did to get the ice and water in the door. Then, I had to replace the solenoid valve once for the ice-maker and the door stop. The parts of the refrigerator are expensive but other than that, they have very good customer service reps who are very helpful. I told them what was wrong and they sent the service guy out. They were able to fix it and they didnt have to come back twice.

My Viking dishwasher is terrible, but my oven has been great. It has been perfect and I love it. I like the looks of it too. I can set most of the pots and pans on there without them being crowded. Its sturdy and Ive really enjoyed it. I don’t necessarily know how to clean out the vented area and that’s the depressing stuff that I don’t like about it. On the other hand, my dishwasher is like an expensive drying rack and Viking doesn’t know when theyre going to get the parts to me. I would love it if it works just like the oven did. Our countertops are being replaced, so I have nowhere to wash dishes right now. The other thing is when I tried to register my appliances online. It was just really weird. For whatever reason, the model numbers that are on the appliances has to be entered differently. I had to call in the center because there was one too many numbers are not enough but their staff was super nice.

The door doesnt close and they haven’t fixed it yet since I bought it. They came out and looked at it and they said they had to order parts, and they said they’ll get back to me in a week or two. I was on hold for over six hours one day, trying to get a hold of them. Once we got through, there were a lot of problems. Ive seen Viking Ranges in the past in the stores and we decided to go with them because of the quality of their products and name recognition. We got a commercial pipe stove and we like the way it looks. We do a lot of cooking. We bought the range at National Appliance up in Wilmington, Delaware and they were very helpful and very knowledgeable. They walked us through the different competitive brands such as Monogram, Wolf, and Viking. They showed us the pros and cons of each one, and what other consumers that purchased them liked over what model over the other, which led us back to the Viking. So far, our range is everything I thought it would be and the glides in the oven racks are our favorite feature. We also try to maintain the oven and clean-up has not been an issue.

I had a Viking for a dozen years, and I wanted to fill the space where it came out, so I got another Viking refrigerator that is about the same model to fit back into the built-in site. The people at the Viking dealer were very professional and knowledgeable. My experience of getting a new one, getting it put in, and getting it working was about as painless as it could have been given that the people who came out to do it have to come up to a condominium setting in downtown San Francisco which is not trivial. This particular Viking fits my needs because of the space I have to put in. I like its size and how it looks. Its a good size refrigerator, its narrow, and the width of it is 24 inches out so it doesnt stick out in the room. It does a good job. The first one should have lasted longer than it did. I had three major repairs in the last three years of it. I hope this next one would last longer.

When I was reading the reviews, there was an oven from Viking that was great for baking and cooking. And since I’m a big baker, I decided to get one. I bought it from Best Buy and initially, I bought it with the floor model which came completely destroyed. I was so upset. This oven costs $6,000 and granted, I got the floor model so I got a discount but it doesn’t matter if it’s the original price. It was a little chaotic but they were very nice enough to swap it out for a brand new one. The manager was very forthcoming to exchange my oven and everything was fine. The quality is great. I’ve only had it for two months now and it seems durable. The only thing I get a little upset about is that I can’t have my oven and burner on at the same time. When the oven’s on, the fan starts and it starts cooling until it keeps the temperature. Then, the air from inside comes out from the back of the oven and blows towards the burner. So when I have the flame on, the flame is not steady and it’s like putting a flame in the wind. It’s like boiling all over the place. I also called the company when my broiler wasn’t turning on, and they sent someone. I asked if they sell anything that maybe blocks the wind and instead of coming straight towards the burners, they’d be going upward. But their rep said there isn’t anything. I thought it was simple and I don’t think I’m the first person that had that problem.

I liked the durability. However, I am so unhappy. I purchased the refrigerator then right away, I noticed a sound. I called in two weeks after I purchased the refrigerator because of the sound. Viking sent a repair person. They replaced the motor. And now, it has another sound that’s bugging me, so I rescheduled another appointment. I realized I had felt it but I was always in a hurry. The handles are giving shocks off. I had an electrician go in yesterday. And for some reason, he passed by the refrigerator with his gadget to detect electricity, and there’s electricity running through the handles where we open it. And he said, “Whoa, call them immediately tomorrow. Get them over here. This could be dangerous.”I was talking to Viking regarding this and I paid $4,000 for this refrigerator. They were sending me repair people. And Pacific Sales told me they only had a 14-day exchange, and Viking will only do repairs. Now, with this issue, I want a replacement. I dont want to settle for a repair but they want to keep repairing everything, so I’m going to call them this morning and see how were going to address this issue.

Viking Professional Microwave VMOC205WH - Purchased this $1000 microwave as a Christmas gift for my wife in 2010. It replaced a 20 year old microwave (that still worked). Will not pop popcorn to this day. My wife noticed a place in back that looked like rust a couple of years ago. It has progressively gotten worse. I finally contacted Viking and told them that their stainless steel (inside) was rusting. I was given a Viking service center to contact. It had started sparking inside at rust occasionally. The tech came out and said he was not going to charge service charge because it was obviously a manufacturer defect. Stainless steel is not supposed to rust. He took photographers and turned in report to Viking. I called Viking and they said they needed photographs, to which I replied, the tech has already sent them. Approximately two months later, I received a call from tech service center (not Viking) that Viking was waiting for receipt. I contacted the store that I purchased the microwave and after much searching, found invoice and forwarded it to tech center who sent it to Viking. Their response was it was out of warranty. I had a 20 year old $200 microwave that performed well, yet this top of the line Professional unit didnt make it two years and then would not stand behind their product. Getting ready to replace stove and refrigerator. Guess which brand that will not be considered? Very disappointed. The place where I purchased unit said that Vikings service was horrible. I can certainly testify.

I have a Viking four burner range with convection oven. In the 13 years I have owned this I have changed all the igniters twice, the igniter control module once and the oven door hinges twice. The latest breakdown is that the baffle under the oven floor detached due to rust, damaging the burners and ignitor. I called to make a warranty claim - Lifetime warranty against rust, it says in my owners manual. I called customer service and was advised with Viking this warranty only applies to the stainless steel parts... the parts that dont rust. Company does not stand behind their product. BUYER BEWARE. They will NEVER replace a product that is brand new and doesnt work, they WILL keep sending repair people and order parts. Fact: Bought a new Viking refrigerator/freezer. Fact: Doors are cracked and freezer doesnt work, refrigerator freezing everything. Fact: Notified retailer, they sent two repair people to appraise, both said it should be replaced. Fact: Third repairperson finally told us what Viking wanted to say, which was it can be fixed if we replace the doors and thermostats.Vikings policy is they will NOT take back, even a brand new appliance, if they can replace all of the parts. Problem, parts have been on backorder so we have no freezer for 2 months and our refrigerator freezes our food. Viking did offer us $400 to buy another refrigerator until the parts finally come in. Where are we to put this, and where can I get one for $400 with installation? I have begged, literally, for them to replace it... I didnt ask for our money back, just replace with a quality item... They refused. I was better off with my other brands that were less money. I will NEVER EVER tell anyone to buy Viking. Honestly, it is a horrible situation.

I was in real estate for some time. I’m into remodeling and I love interior design, so I’m aware of Viking Refrigeration. We just redid our entire kitchen and put all new Viking appliances, everything from oven to a huge cooktop to the refrigerator, downdraft, the dishwasher, and I am not overly pleased with the refrigerator. I called Viking directly and they sent somebody out and repaired a couple of the things that were wrong with the refrigerator. But the main problem that I still have, which is something that I need to make another phone call on, is the ice maker. The refrigerator is a French door with an under mount freezer and when I pull open the freezer door, the little metal handle that comes down to regulate when the ice maker is on and off almost rakes the ice. And so, it all falls out through the back of the freezer. I have to literally army crawl and break my arm to get my hands at the back to clear out the ice that’s fallen at the back on the floor of the freezer or else the freezer door does not close properly. I wonder how many tens of thousands of dollars did I spend on all those appliances. I should have gone back to my GE Profile. I’ve been really disappointed.

We purchased a newly built home and had all Viking appliances installed. The range puts out good heat but the oven is definitely malfunctioning. It cycles every minute no matter what temperature you set it to so if I am baking something that takes 2 hours, Ill hear the igniter click and the flame come on over 100 times. I dont know if its because the flame is reigniting so often but the smell of gas is so strong. Also, the door gets so hot you cant even touch it without wearing an oven mitt. All of these make me afraid to use the oven. I called Viking and theyve sent out the same repair person twice who told me that the cycling every minute is normal and the door is supposed to get hot because heat radiates. I understand heat radiates but it shouldnt get so hot you can burn yourself. What happens if children accidentally get close to the oven? I also dont understand why for a supposed high end oven, the temperature cant be maintained for more than a minute when the flame goes out before it reignites again. And since its cycling every minute no matter what temp you set it to and regardless if you leave the oven door closed for 2 hours (yes, we tested it with the door closed for 2 hours to make sure we werent losing heat from opening the door), it doesnt seem like the cycling is temperature related at all. When I call Viking, they tell me this is NOT normal and a repair person needs to come out to make adjustments. Theyve sent the same repair person twice who insists this is normal. I called again today and asked for a different company. The same person has been scheduled to come out tomorrow, wholl likely tell me again that this is what I have to get use to with this oven. This oven is a hazard. Youll either be afraid to use it or youll end up burning yourself or inhaling carbon monoxide fumes. I had to turn the oven off yesterday because I got a terrible headache from the fumes. I am writing this to advise everyone to not buy a Viking. Also, now it is documented that these issues existed in the event something bad happens.

Initially, we had a difficulty with baking, and then the temperature just cut off. It ended up taking an hour and a half to bake one sheet of cookies after it had warmed up for a good 20 and then 40 minutes. It took a long time. Someone came out, and he said nothing was wrong with and it hasnt done it since. But so far, so good.I live in an area that is lower population. We dont have as many service people to service. Initially, I was told I would have to wait a month to a month and a half for someone to come out and look at it. I pleaded with the gal on the phone. “Well, it’s just before Christmas, and I have a four-year old. And were looking forward to baking.” Lo and behold, someone had availability in their schedule. She called me right away and said, “I can get you in right away. Are you available?” I said, “Of course, I am.” I was disappointed in that. I said, “Gosh, if I had any future issues, it would be a bummer to have to wait that long for service.”In addition, I can’t get a pizza pan to go all the way in. Its not the depth of the oven. It just needs to be an inch and a half further in depth, and then a regular pizza pan could fit in. That was shocking to me. We ran into it on the first day of our move. We had the movers here and I thought, “Oh, Ill just pick up pizzas and cook them in the oven.” Because we live a ways out from any pizza place. I had to cut all the pizzas in order for them to fit into the oven, which is a pain in the neck. And then anytime I go to fix a pizza, I cant use the basic pizza pan, which is a bummer. Other than that, Ive enjoyed using the stove top, and the oven has been great since. Ive been happy.

Weve gone into an upper-end appliance dealer in our area and looked at a couple of different brands but in the end, we decided on Viking. But I have a problem with my refrigerator and its being serviced currently. Its a little disconcerting having an issue within six months of getting it installed but well see how the repair goes. It is covered under warranty though and customer service is great. Theyre very quick to get me tied into the local authorized dealer in the area and getting that scheduled. I worked in the consumer electronics industry about 30 some years ago so I was well aware of Viking. We were building our house. I have a friend whos a chef and we consulted him on a number of different products, and the Viking range was the one that he recommended. I bought the unit through a Viking dealer. Pacific Kitchen and Home was great. Its a Best Buy thing. And then, weve had it serviced once and there were just problems getting parts, and part of it is where we are. Theres no local place around here, so we had to call a place that was a bit further away. The COVID19 issue is one of the issues that people were suffering from because the dealer was closed for a period of time. When the parts came in, they were wrong and they had to get another part. But that was the only issue we had.The combination of the Viking range and the hood is just excellent because they work seamlessly together. Everything about the unit is very nice. I love the sealed burners. I like the fit and finish. I like that its above the floor and it has the different types of burners. There are things that Id like to see different, but those are minor.

My friend had a Viking range and recommended it to us. We didn’t have a place for a double oven in the wall, so I wanted a large range and the Viking range happened to be available. We were looking at Wolf initially but the Viking range that we found and purchased was with the dual fuel and it was also the floor model. So it was over the top, but our kitchen is over the top as well, so it went with our kitchen. Also, the quality of the range is wonderful. I like the convection oven that Ive never had before and I use it all the time. It definitely works a lot faster than other ovens. We received a lot of appliances with different brands from the Viking dealer and the reps there were good. When we first had the Viking range installed, the convection fan was really loud and would rattle the floor when we put the convection oven on. They had somebody come out and replace the fan. It still gets a little loud, but it doesn’t do anymore what it did before, and we hope that we don’t have to ever deal with that situation again. They definitely rectified the situation promptly and that was really good. I will go back to Viking Ranges.

But weve had to get service and got the warranty worked on about every piece of equipment that we purchased. With the refrigerator, the freezer was frosting up. It had something to do with the heating unit or defrosting unit of the freezer. They replaced it and now its working. We love the Viking refrigerator. Its nice, big and awesome.

Weve had a Viking Refrigerator for as long as I can remember. We always like how the line of products look. Unfortunately, our own Viking Refrigerator has been terrible and we had a lot of issues with Viking because of it. We bought a new house and then the refrigerator stopped working. We had contacted Viking about 15 times to talk to them about replacing it but they kept sending somebody out to keep repairing it but it didnt work. They refused to replace it until the serviceman said theres nothing more he could do. So we went about eight weeks without having a refrigerator and thats not ideal when there are kids. We had to have the refrigerator replaced and its going to be our last Viking just because the customer service was absolutely horrific. They were very difficult to deal with and theyre worse than the refrigerator.

This is the worst refrigerator on the market. In the 2.5 years we have owned the unit, we have had the following issues: handle broke off the ice drawer, handle broke off the vegetable crisper drawer, the hinge that keeps the door from hyper-extending has busted twice, the fan went bad, AND on top of that there is a faulty design with the circulation system that is supposed to circulate air from the freezer to the refrigerator -- it causes everything on the top shelf of the refrigerator to freeze, so we cant put anything on the top shelf (I talked to many Viking employees who admit they are aware of the problem and theres nothing they can do about it)! I just called customer service to plead for a new crisper drawer since our warranty just expired and it is clearly a faulty design. The handle is not secure on the drawers and breaks off very easily and they said, No, you will have to pay $213 PLUS shipping and handling for a new plastic drawer. The last refrigerator we owned cost $10,000 less and we didnt have a single problem in 10 years. Please dont buy a Viking refrigerator!

The fridge didnt work when it was installed and it took five months to replace it. The stove was installed in July and it got fixed today, on the 1st of December. Ive been working through the general contractor and hes been using a company called Jarvis who I would not let back in the house after today. It has taken til the 1st of December to get all the burners on the stove to work. Its just a disaster. If you give me a million pounds in cash and all free appliances, I wouldnt have Viking in the house. Ill never tell people to buy Viking.

I knew about Viking Ranges from back in the days that it’s a high-end commercial range. They’re one of the first ranges from back in the day that have been still around, and I recently also heard that they have improved their latest model. So, I decided to go and get one, and I love it. I like that it’s easy to clean and take apart. I like the aesthetics, the way it feels and looks, as well and it seems good quality. Its industrial quality is my favorite. Ive used my range and have gone back to the department store. I looked at the lower-end models and the integrity of the material isn’t there, like the grill grates and the griddle. Everything is just built a lot better on the Viking gas range.

Ive known about Viking for years but I couldn’t afford it. I saw them in model homes and heard they were of good quality, plus they look good. I finally got a whole set of the Viking Professional at Fergusons. The refrigerator has been installed for one year now and so far, I like it. It’s a tall refrigerator with a big door. The freezer is at the bottom and is spacious, then there’s a drawer that comes out where you could put meat or veggies. You can see everything, and nothing gets lost. Weve always had Sears products so this is very different. It’s so beautiful and it looks so professional like it belongs in a restaurant.

My Viking refrigerator was provided by the builders and has been looking okay so far. I’ve been using it only a couple of months now. However, I do not necessarily like the design of the fridge. It doesnt have a water dispenser. I had expected a refrigerator with water dispenser, but apparently, Viking doesn’t make those anymore. I also would like to have a doorstop. The way the refrigerator is installed, it is very close to the oven handle, and if I open it down there, it hits the refrigerator door and puts a dent. So, I have to be careful. If it could have a doorstop that I could adjust and limit the opening of the door, that would help.

Last night our Viking oven decided to self ignite, which resulted in a 911 call (electrical fire). The oven was off, and had we not been in the house, or in bed, then the situation could have been much more serious. I contacted Viking directly (this morning) to report the incident, but I am not entirely convinced that Viking is really that concerned - in fact the response was somewhat casual. They were more concerned about whether the warranty was valid.A colleague of mine had a similar issue a few weeks ago - oven (a Viking) self ignited. Again, this resulted in a 911 call. I got the impression that Viking arent too concerned, however, I would like to use this review as a warning to other Viking users to check your oven - make sure you know how to isolate the gas and power to the appliance - make sure your smoke detectors are working - make sure you have a fire extinguisher and is rated for an electrical fire!

We had a new $8000 refrigerator from Viking. Over 5 years we had it repaired 18 times. The refrigerator was recalled so Viking charged us half price for a new one about 8 months ago. This evening - all of the food in the freezer is now thawed out. The refrigerator is not getting cold. Youve got to be kidding. Even the replacement of the recalled refrigerator isnt working now after 8 months. We have an old GE refrigerator out in the garage that weve had for 16 years and it still works perfectly with no repairs in 16 years. So tell me, what is better, the EXPENSIVE OVERPRICED 8-MONTH-OLD VIKING - OR 16-YEAR-OLD G.E. that has never needed repair?

I grew up with gas, and when we moved to Florida, Florida had mostly just electricity or electric ranges. My husbands from Mississippi, so we had to look at Mississippi in getting a Viking and we love it. Its the first time hes cooked on a gas stove, and its so much better. It cooks so much nicer and the food tastes better. Everybody from Viking was great. The gas that we put in had been delayed and they kept the stove there, and then they brought it as soon as we needed it.

We bought a brand new house and all the appliances were Viking. The original refrigerator that was discontinued was really substandard in the sense that the design was flawed. The freezer is at the bottom half so anything that tumbled from the refrigerator fell on the freezer and the freezer frame was dented. It kept getting dented. I wasnt very happy with the quality so I had to replace that with the model that came about after it was discontinued. I was trying to replace the bottom freezer and I called their parts department and one was better, but the other was charging me $2,000 just for the bottom freezer while a new model costs $3,500. Theres just no recourse as far as their customer service. In addition, somebody recognized that the design was flawed, so they changed it. The freezer frame was no longer stainless steel. It was very very hard plastic and it didnt jut out anymore. So, its horrible that such a design was at all created. There was no quality control. We then got a new refrigerator from Best Buy and they were pretty good except for the delivery that had so much bumbling all over the place. The first people who delivered it didnt know how to handle refrigerators because the foot was dented. Im very dissatisfied with all the Viking appliances we had and Im never going to recommend Viking ever.

Ive been using Viking for the past 13 years but I dont think Im gonna buy Viking appliances moving forward. I was very happy but not anymore. I have lots of properties and in most of them are Viking. I like the design of the refrigerator but in the past three years, the refrigerators are very bad quality. They just keep breaking down and all the repair people would come in and say not to get Viking. I like too that the dishwasher can have the filter but it breaks too often. Last year, I spent over 20 grand but some stuff was on backorder. So, I told the supplier that bought one for me to put in my invoice that I bought two. Then, when I asked for the rebate, they said that I didn’t qualify because I have one invoice. Even though the guy who I bought it from said it was gonna be okay, I didnt get my rebate of 5%. They could have looked at my file and made an exception because they would be out of pocket fast and it wasnt my fault. They should have fought with the reseller, but I didn’t bother. So, theyve lost a loyal customer.

We purchased a gas 48 inch Viking, 6 burner, 1 griddle range from a Viking Range Certified Kitchen company. In the first 3 years, under warranty, it was serviced 3 times for overheating and shutting off after 40 minutes at 400+ degrees. After the warranty lapsed, we had a 4th service call with estimated parts and repair at (00 for hinges. We were told the hinges were not holding the door to create a strong enough seal within the oven and the heat fried the control module. We contacted Viking Range, who agreed the hinges were a manufacturing defect and replaced the hinges. Six months later, using the oven at 450 degrees for 30 minutes-- it shuts off and the ignition spark went off (sparking but not catching for about 30 minutes until we had to pull the huge oven away from the wall and unplug it). Another service call, another $900 to explain why the oven overheats-- this time saying the seal on the door isnt trapping heat and the heat is again reaching the control module. This oven is defective, we have never been able to use it above 450, which is why I bought it in the first place. It was a $9,000 stove with a $2000 vent hood and over $3000 has been spent in under 5 years to maintain it. Viking Range will not claim responsibility for what we know to clearly be a faulty unit.

The hinges are faulty! This stove is barely used as I travel much. They are less than 2 years old!!! Customer support was horrendous. We purchased several Viking high end appliances for a condominium about 6 years ago. I have never been so dissatisfied with an appliance line ever. We opted for induction cooktop as we could not do gas. It has been highly disappointing! All of the large burners have stopped working. First one about a year ago then two others less than 3 months apart. I was told by service rep for Viking the parts alone will be over $3,200. Are you kidding me? The elements usually burn out affecting same circuit. One large and one small burner share but our small burners work.I would never buy another and suggest you DO NOT either. In addition our Viking ice maker does not work. Our refrigerator ice maker became our source for ice since. It works only if you manually move arm each time shelf is pulled out. I can not begin to express the poor quality and especially short life cycle of these very expensive appliance.

We bought a new construction condo about 11 years ago and the builder put a Viking in there. That was the first Viking we owned. This time, we did our due diligence in looking at some of the other things that were out there. We looked at Wolf, but I liked the simplicity of Viking. We’re also very happy with the quality of the range. My wife does the bulk of the cooking and she really likes the evenness of the heating in the oven. All the burners are like power burners. Most of the stoves out there, you get one that maybe can put out the BTUs. But all the ones, Viking can do.Having now owned our second Viking, it seems, however, like the lighting on the burners is always a little tricky. Lighting the burners, its clicking and it’s not lighting and then I have to turn the knob. We have tenants in the condo that has a Viking and more often than not, especially when they’re new, people have a little issue lighting it and that’s one area that Viking could improve on. We had someone come out with the one in the condo and they said it was the igniter. We replaced that and the unit performed exactly the same way after, so it seems like it’s just the way it works.

I saw a Viking Range for the first time when I was 13 in Architectural Digest and I wanted it ever since. I finally was able to get one. I did look at competitors but the Viking Range was my favorite. I love that its built with such quality and such simplicity. Its the best of design. Its not overfussy. One of my big worries when I got it is whether or not it would be easy to clean. But the fact that the parts all come off and you can just throw them in the sink, I was surprised by how easy it is to clean. Its everything that it needs to be. We got good service and its a good product. It not only works well but also we enjoy the experience of cooking on the range. We live on a farm so were not on natural gas and we had to adapt to propane. Everyone else that we talked to was not particularly helpful. We purchased an entire suite of professional-grade Viking kitchen appliances. My wife is a very good cook, so she wanted a gas range with Viking as a name, and we thought the refrigeration would be good too. However, I just had somebody come in to repair my refrigerator cause its a defect. The drain was not designed properly, so it would basically freeze up or clog up at the end of the day and then back up. And then, I ended up with ice below my freezer tray. It would melt on the door below the freezer door and then get my floor wet. As a result, I have cupping on my wood floor. So, not only did I pay the repair company that just recently came over $170-$200, which I havent even been reimbursed yet for, but I also have damaged floor.I havent had Viking contact me regarding that yet, and that was something I was expecting a call on. I reached out to them first, and they informed me that if it was a sealed component, it would be covered under warranty but if it wasnt, it wouldnt be. I ordered a part for the snap tray from a repair company, and I asked about the refrigerator and its leaking characteristics. They mentioned that there was a fix for it, and Viking knows about it. A notice was sent out and apparently, Viking has amnesia with that. They dont know of any notice. Theres no recall, yet its clearly a defective product.

I am only writing this review here because I see that Viking actually monitors this and sometimes responds. The salesman at Pacific Sales was pushing this brand over others and especially over Sub Zero, stating that they are owned by a new company and the customer service has become much better. I have written to Viking three times, 11/15, 11/22, and again around 11/30 to tell them to pound sand. Since it had been 15 days with zero response to my requests from them, they clearly arent interested in my business. The saddest part is that my second response was to have a representative look at my existing appliance, and that I may choose to just replace it, depending on the quote they offered. Nothing from them. I refuse to consider spending $10k on a refrigerator with a company who cant answer two different requests after 15 days. I guess they dont need my money, so Ill spend more at SZ when this one finally dies.UPDATED ON 03/25/2018: The Viking refrigerator that I had broke down and I replaced it with the same one. I did not want to spend over $10,000 on a refrigerator except that the hole in my house fits that one and it was more affordable than the Sub-Zero. I really wanted the Sub-Zero, but I didn’t want to spend an extra $6,000. Vikings website is terrible. If you put in a request for information on their website and submit the button, you do not get a response. I was looking for somebody to service the broken refrigerator and to check it out because maybe I didnt need to replace it. But they did not respond and I had to go to the website to complain about them. They reached out to me through the website and told me that they dont have access to the the account that those emails go to since the new company bought them a few years ago. I told them that they need to update their website so they could have access. They apologized but they never pointed me to any person who could come and check my refrigerator. Their customer service is nonexistent and I’m banking on the warranty that I have with the store that I purchased the refrigerator from and the reps that they have there.

I was looking for refrigeration, and I was doing renovations. I went online. I had wanted to upgrade from what I currently had, which was the JennAir Professional Series. I wanted something on the Wolf or Viking line. I did not go with Wolf because I could not afford the Sub-Zero Refrigerator. So, I decided to go with Viking. I looked at the reviews. I had ordered it from an appliance shop. Then I went to Ferguson Showroom to see what it looked like because the appliance shop didnt have a display. I knew it was looking like what I wanted it to look like. When I went to Ferguson, they didnt have any Viking on their floor. The salesperson said, “You know what, Latrina, I wish you would have came to us first because our customers had so many problems with Viking. We had to take it off our floor as display items.” I said, “Well, frankly, I wont have these problems.” So, I got the product. But I couldnt have the contractors in because of COVID, so I had the products here for a while. So, they installed them, and now its about the eighth month. My microwave already went out. The refrigerator handles are not so nice. The guy who came and fixed the microwave also had to tighten up the handles. At the top of the refrigerator shelf, you can set it to different levels. At the very top, it’s freezing my food. I cant set it to go any lower than the level that it’s at. Viking needs to revamp.

We researched Viking and Wolf, and we decided to go with Viking. The sales rep at Best Buy kind of talked us into it when we went and started pricing out and looking at all the different merchandise. Then when we heard that we could get a 5% cashback by purchasing them, that was the determining factor. The look of our Viking range is stunning. We love how it cooks everything evenly. We bought the range and we bought the French wall oven. We like both of them. Weve been trying to clean the wall oven and we are a little confused on that because you put water because it’s a steam clean, and it’s just different than what were used to how an oven cleans. My husband put some water in it and then turns it on to self-cleaning. It just didnt clean as much as we thought. We bought the hood, the range, the wall oven, the microwave and we have been waiting six months for a fridge and freezer that we purchased as well. I don’t like Viking appliances. I’ve had issues with the ice maker ever since I bought my refrigerator. They came out one time and replaced it because they said there was a fly in it. After they fixed it, it worked for about six months. And then I have to always pull the bin out, empty it out, clean it out and put it back in so it could work again. Now it doesn’t work at all. I’ve called Appliance Masters and they’ve been out many times. The repairman comes and he says nothing is wrong with it but I still have an issue. At this point, I have no warranty on it but I need someone to come out and actually fix it. I ordered the part to change it myself. The dealers were nice. But as far as when I emailed them, I got absolutely no response.I’ve had my dishwasher for seven years and when I turn it on, it runs over three hours and I have to open the door and see if it’s clean or dry. I never know how long it’s supposed to take. I never knew from the beginning because it never ran a full cycle. When I open it, I see all this water and soap in the bottom. I wash my dishes by hand. The water is sitting there. I have to spoon it out or cup it out because it starts to smell after a while. It’s a big issue for me because I’ve never been able to have a full cycle of clean dishes. When I called this last time to get somebody to help me with my appliances, the repairman told me he gets a negative call every single day and he’s always apologizing to the customers when they call. Consumers like me don’t know who to contact to say their complaint to. The sales guy was telling me that he gets this kind of call every single day. Generally, I’m easygoing and I don’t really like complaining about anything. But when it comes to a point when somebody’s so top-notch, I get very disappointed because of the name.Viking has a name like Mercedes-Benz. I was thinking I was getting the best and I was very wrong because if Viking was so great, their appliances would work properly. And even if I get a lemon, I understand that at least it could be fixed when someone comes out to check it. I was disappointed. I would not recommend Viking to anybody. I would not recommend the places I called for service for Viking. They just can’t fix it. I used to have a GE and it’s in my garage now. It works a lot better than Viking and I’ve had that a lot longer.

When selecting our refrigerator, we went on Vikings reputation. Also, my husbands in interior design and that was also part of the reason why we chose Viking as opposed to a GE product, which we have at another house. However, we are a little disappointed with Viking. We’ve had the refrigerator for less than a year and all this stuff started happening right around a month’s time. We were having problems with the ice maker and when I called Viking repair service, they put in a service call. Somebody came out but didn’t really do anything other than change the ice maker. He said that it should be working within 24 hours but it still is not. They came for a second service call after that. The contractors follow-up was not up to what I think Viking would expect from their name though. Ive had to follow up twice with the service repair people to find out what was going on with my refrigerator. They have been telling me that they needed to order another ice maker and a different part but based on the recent weather in the Southeast, it was being delayed. There are also other things that I have to have the repair person look at. We have a bottom refrigerator and the door clicks every time we hold the door open. Other than that, I had received a part that is supposed to be on one of the doors so that you can have butter or whatever else you want to use in a climate-controlled environment. But it doesn’t fit in there and nobody that I’ve called at Viking has been able to give me an answer on how to have it fit. But other than that, we like the refrigerator, me probably more so than my husband.

8 years ago we did a total renovation to our kitchen and chose to put in a 48 Viking range/hood. This undoubtedly was our most expensive purchase. In the last 7 years I have had nothing but problems. 2 of the burners never light unless done with a match. I am now on my 3rd thermostat for the broiler, I have been waiting 3 MONTHS for this part... Again!!! The oven thermostat has been replaced 2 times. Of course these repairs have cost us $500-$1500. This has been the most disappointing purchase I have ever made. Terrible product and terrible customer service. Dont DO IT... Buy something that backs up its product for more than a year!!!

Viking is a pretty well-known brand name and Ive known of it for some time. The team at the Viking dealer was very good and helpful. The refrigerator that I purchased from them has been very good so far. I like the space and design of it -- it is probably the best.

Viking oven quite beautiful blueberry blue, came with amazing home we purchased, number of problems in the 5 years we have been here. Currently the door to the small oven is hanging open, we cannot fix it. Called and left voice mail messages for the service manager and NO CALL BACKS. We cannot do business like this and are positively shocked that no one cares enough about such a valuable brand to look after maintaining or building the value. Sounds like its almost game over from reading about other peoples unfortunate experiences.

We were looking for a counter-depth refrigerator and we found an available model from Viking. The quality is good and I like the general design but I do have a problem with it right now. The ice maker isnt working. I havent had the time to try to troubleshoot it and I dont know what I should do next exactly.

The quality of our Viking Refrigerator is good. Its all metallic and easy to pull down drawers and wash and clean. But the thing that we are having an issue with is when you open the refrigerator, its very heavy because the door is custom-made. Then the stopper there broke last week. So we had someone come and replace it. But Im worried that its gonna happen again. Other than that, everything is good.
