We got several appliances at the same time, so I had to interact with Viking a couple of times. They’re doing great. If I had the opportunity to compare some side by side over the years, that would be nice, but we didnt, so we spent the money. Although there’s a little insulator flap on the door of our fridge, and it’s got a little rip in it, the fresh drawer that you could set the temperature to is a good feature. All in all, the prices are crazy, but quality-wise, I’m satisfied. Theyre durable goods.

We know and we like Viking so we go Viking all the way. We have two stoves, one gas, one electric, a microwave, and a dishwasher. Theyre easy to use and everythings upfront. Everything else we buy these days, including a car, comes with a tutorial on DVDs and 48-page pamphlets just to introduce the other pamphlets. But Viking we just look at it and there it is. Our Viking refrigerator is only a few days old and so far its been fine compared to the other one, which was a disaster. Its very steady and has a door alarm. In case I get caught in a fugue like state I can always be reminded by the alarm. And everythings uniform in terms of refrigeration throughout the compartment, which we like. I also like that it has a barrier bar between in the back of the right hand door so when we’re closing it it really seals. The ice maker is good. We can turn it off if we dont want it and there are no issues about leaks and going into trays. It is very self-contained and efficient. The Viking dealer have very friendly folks. They told us about others brands, more for contrast. They didn’t try to sell us anything else. Once they saw we were going Viking they reinforced things and they were very efficient. There was a lot of communication. They called us back and forth. The driver with the appliance had called us three times telling about his route. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, price wise and in terms of the delivery date and the people who brought it in. The delivery folks were great. They spent over an hour leveling things and they did a great job. They were very careful and neat and one of the best deliveries weve had since we were here. The only thing that Id have to get used to is the bottom drawer which is a long drawer and gives good storage for the cold zone but theres nothing about that that we use right now. Although I could see for the future we might be loading different sorts of perishables in there. We have to open both doors to get that lower drawer open. Its not a problem it just culturally I hadnt been doing that. And should a friend ask me about Viking refrigeration I’d say, “If youre rich, get it.”

Bought used in 1998. Still working great. Converted from natural gas to propane. Newer models have more precise temperature control, but I am happy with this old workhorse. It has a huge oven, stovetop has 4 burners plus a large griddle. Stove is 36 wide.

My husband wanted a Viking Refrigerator so we bought and paid for it. Best Buy brought and installed it. But they left me with a noise as if I was standing on a runway and an airplane is operating on it. We could not turn on the TV and hear it. We had to shut off all the doors, and even then, we heard it. It was horrible. I called the dealer three times to come. They came, claimed that they fixed it, but they fixed it for two seconds and left. On the third time, I lost them completely and they wouldn’t come back to fix it so I called Best Buy and spoke to everybody there. They transferred me to the Viking office. Some lady said they can send me a repairman, but not till next week. I told her that they have to send somebody right away, but they did not. The day went by and I couldn’t get anybody because it was already evening. I called them the next morning and they finally had somebody from Viking called me. He found a third party and they came. But they left me with a wire hanging into the fan. It was when they transferred it, and that made the noise. At this point, I had a lemon because the fan was damaged. At Best Buy, even the person who sold it told me that his hands were tied and can’t do anything. The manager who came back from vacation was supposed to call me to tell me that they were exchanging the refrigerator, never called me. I had to do everything myself and went back to the store. They said I can choose something else. I chose the JennAir and I wanted to upgrade already. They said that they would come towards me, but I have to pay close to $500 more. I thought about it and calculated it. I also spoke to my son-in-law who just investigated which refrigerator was the best. He said that as long as I have to pay the difference, I might as well pay a little more and get the Sub-Zero. At the headquarters, Lionel was the only guy who was very nice. I talked to him and he called me back the next morning. He asked me what was my decision and I told him to pick the Viking ref up and take it out of here. They left me with a hole for two days and some of my food got spoiled. I got my Sub-Zero on the third day, and we are so happy we made the change. The experience with Viking was a nightmare. We were very unhappy and so aggravated. I also think that Best Buy was at fault here, and their installers. I will never buy one more item from them. But I have a Viking stove and Ive had it for more than 28 years. Ive been very happy with it.

A condominium I bought in California many years ago already had a Viking installed. It was brand new and it had one of the big double ovens with the six things on top and the grill. The gas burners are very efficient, very powerful and I love them. However, were now in our second home in Washington state, and we found out that most of the dealers here have quit carrying Viking. They said it was very difficult to get service up here, so Im a little concerned that I made the choice. I didnt realize they were closing it out when I got this last range. Ive had four ranges, and Ive been happy with them. I had trouble with a couple of things on the range I bought in California in my condominium, including the modernized clock it had on it, but I always got service out and they took care of it. So far Ive had a really good experience with Viking and they were good.

In the year 2000 my husband and I bought a home and shortly after began an extensive and costly kitchen remodel. We spared no expense and believing we were buying the best, we bought a Viking refrigerator. In hindsight, it was our worst decision. Almost from the very beginning we began having problems. The ice maker stopped working, the door accessories and drawers began to crack to the point that one of the condiment containers has a huge hole on the bottom rendering it totally unusable. Certainly not the quality youd expect from such expensive appliances. When food started spoiling we knew we had a big problem and called Viking for help. By then, of course, warranty had expired but they recommended a local service company. By the third visit with no resolution we knew we were dealing with an incompetent repairman and my husband, at this point beyond frustrated, practically threw him out of our home. We never got any satisfaction from Viking. And its incomprehensible to me that after spending thousands of $$$ on a beautiful, state-of-the-art refrigerator I am forced to make ice in plastic ice cube trays and keeping milk, cheese, cold cuts and veggies in my old GE in the basement because the temp is never cold enough no matter how we adjust the settings. Last night I opened the door to put something away and felt warm air. The Viking finally conked out. So, this morning my husband and I are debating who to call. And as I google Viking, I came across your reviews and, can I say, I am shocked by the hundreds of negative stories I have spent over 2 hours reading, stories so similar to mine. So now I dont know what to do. Do I dare spend possibly $1,500-2,000 in repairs which may or may not fix the problem or do I ditch the Viking and take the loss? One of our dilemma is that our kitchen was totally custom therefore the Viking is tightly wall mounted with molding and trim all around. Would I be able to find a non-Viking refrigerator that would fit the same dimensions? I am so angry. This is certainly not what one would expect from a company like Viking. I am open to join a class action suit.

This refrigerator is a disaster! The ice maker has broken repeatedly since Ive owned it. Repair calls and bills for that and it still doesnt work. The plastic handles on the bins are all broken. When you pull on them to open the drawers, they break. And the worse thing? It leaks. I have thousands of dollars of damage to my bamboo floor. After having this repaired, I see that the pan under the refrigerator fills up with water every few days. This is a refrigerator, not a high tech device. The engineering should be mundane. Ive had other refrigerators from GE that are far less expensive that never needed servicing. Nothing with this refrig works and I dont understand how this company could release it for sale, not have a recall, not replace them, not offer money back. The product is totally defective.I see that many others on this site have experienced the same problem. I am considering instituting a class action lawsuit. If you are interested, please let me know. It is unethical, bad business and fraudulent for the company to sell defective products and then not stand behind them.

I remodeled my kitchen in 2006 with all Viking appliances. My bottom freezer refrigerator has been repaired twice to date! The bottom of the freezer accumulates a sheet of ice and causes snow-like ice to form all over my food and trouble closing the door! Im told that this is an ongoing problem with this type of Viking refrigerator, and Im looking for people that have the same problem to contact me so that we can collectively address this problem with Viking and other agencies that might make Viking accountable for this faulty unit!

It has always been on my bucket list to get a Viking set because I heard they were always the best. And since we just bought a beautiful new home, I decided to get the whole set. Im very happy with the range top and am pleased with the hood fan, but the microwave and dishwasher are both subpar. Then, one of the shelves in the refrigerator got broken which is very disappointing seeing I spent almost $10,000 for it.Also we purchased it at Best Buy at their Pacific Store and it was a very bad experience. They shipped our packages and we received six, so we assumed that everything was there. We had our kitchen totally rebuilt, then we found out we were missing a package. Then the store manager said we were lying and all the packages were delivered. A week later they found that the package was still in Cleveland and was not delivered. So, our set stood in our kitchen for two or three weeks until it was finished. Then when we installed the double oven, we found out it had been dropped in shipping. Their technician had come out and confirmed that it was. But now Viking is handling that and is sending us a new one.

We got a stove and some other appliances. The stove, we had issue with. Its a gas stove. The proper gas nozzle apertures were requested when we ordered it but they were not sent. And there were some issues between our local dealer getting that correct nozzle. That took time. And during the installation, the installers broke a piece of the stove or the oven. And it took two times to get the correct part. They got it the first time and they installed it, and the local people who were our installers and our repairer as well, said, “This isnt right.” So it went back to Viking. We talked to somebody. Got it right. And same thing with those nozzles. It wasnt done correct the first time. I dont know where that issue lies, if it was with our local person not being able to articulate what was properly needed, or Viking not understanding or sending the wrong piece altogether. We chose Viking for several reasons. The aesthetics of it, how it looks, the way it would fit into our kitchen, the design, and its reliability, that it was a very good brand. I like how, when we open the doors, they feel substantial. Most refrigerator and freezer doors, you open them, they feel lightweight and not put together well. The Viking, when you open it up, that door is heavy. Its not heavy like I cant open it. But it feels very substantial, that I have something there that would hold up and done well.

Viking had been recommended by several people including our son and daughter-in-law who had one for a long time. The range we received over two years ago turned out to be just froth with a series of problems and we had various Viking repair out there. We received a factory replacement about two months ago and theres been one little igniter issue. But that was fixed and were back on board again. If it wasnt for the repairmen who knew our problem, we still wouldnt have one. We would have thrown it away. It was terrible. We just plainly could not continue with a device that was so unpredictable. The oven knobs got incredibly hot and the fan was really noisy. And it repeatedly would shut itself off. I would never buy a Viking stove again. And the one we have now is working much better. It shut itself off, but it was the igniter and the repairman fixed it. But the knobs dont get hot and the fan is extremely quiet. And thats so much nicer than we the one we had that was extremely noisy which almost shake the house.Viking made some changes with their service and repair facility and model. They went to an outside supplier that made multiple visits but had no knowledge of Viking as far as training. But when we finally got to the Viking employee that takes care of the State of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska, he has been great. If it wasnt for him, we probably wouldnt have that stove anymore. We went through a lot and there was not a lot of support from Viking. I started keeping a log on Microsoft Word and its now over eight pages. And of all the various different calls, their replies, the kept emails that are incredible. But anyway, its just been a long journey. You got more than what you want to know.I went on Facebook at one time on their website to say how much trouble I had had and they replied with, Oh, well call your Viking such and such. We dont want this to happen. But it didnt do any good.

We werent die-hard Viking fans but we fell in love with an orange stove that we walked by. It feels quality and I love it with one stove to the next. Also, I have these rolling racks in the oven and that’s an improvement. Viking gave us a tremendous deal but the stove was a lemon. It must have been fixed five to 10 times and it couldn’t stay fixed. But Viking was nice enough to replace it without us asking for it. The replacement has been great but the circumference of the circle is a little hot. It’s always cooking on the outside of my pots. I wish the range had a smaller circle. I bought the Viking range. I thought they actually could be sturdier or more solid than they actually are. Also, when you buy the products within the instruction manual, you get that piece of paper that you’re going to fill in and send back to Viking. It’s for the warranty so it gets registered. Four of them came back, return to sender, which I found very strange that they were preprinted Viking pieces of paper. All you have to do is put your name and address in front of them and put in the mail, and yet they all came back. I didnt call because I figured, I bought them from Pacific Sales and they had the information regarding them, so the warranty would be through them. I didn’t really think twice about it. And then, I managed to register some of them online, but then, I think two of the products weren’t even online to be able to register, which I thought was a little strange too. You need some ways where you feel confident about it the warranty process. Even so, Viking Ranges has been pretty good.

Viking oven would probably be great if I could read the temperature or oven settings, but they wiped off years ago. After only two years, the black printed numbers and letters for the control setting wiped off. Never used any harsh chemicals. We only used window cleaner to clean it. No we have a very expensive oven that really cant be used because you dont know the temperature it is set on. I called Viking and they would only sell me another panel that would do the same thing. IMO this is not something that should happen within the lifetime of the unit!! If I were the manufacturer of a high end product like this, and this happen I would offer to make it right!! This could be a simple and inexpensive fix, but the refuse. I would rather have a oven from a old mobile home than this!! I dont even think Viking will even contact me about this to make it right. I am extremely frustrated with my viking appliances. We saved a long time to purchase the best I thought at the time to be viking. I purchased the microwave, dishwasher, and range. From the very first month I had nothing but problems!! I have never been able to use the stove. It had to be repaired from day one. Cant bake cookies - one side is done, the other burnt. What is sad is that I a have brand new stove and cant use it. Last Thanksgiving I had a half done turkey with 20 people waiting to eat dinner. This is after it was repaired for the 5th time. Now it is Thanksgiving again and I cant use my brand new stove and have to go rent one because my Stove is not working again. The repairman informed me that the part had to be back ordered. Are they Kidding!! With a company their size and how expensive their unusable appliances are, you would think they would have a little replacement part that they could fed-ex the next day especially when they know it is close to a holiday, especially Thanksgiving. The microwave didnt work either and had to be replaced and it still doesnt work, it continually kicks a breaker. We have lived in our house 20 years and never had a breaker problem with our old microwave. Also the knobs on the front of the stove are a fire hazard, if someone even brushes up against them they will turn on. Afraid for the kids.. I would like to take my overly expensive VIKING APPLIANCES that are nothing but junk straight to the city dump. I would NEVER purchase anything that is VIKING again!

Realizing that the unit was way out of warranty, I called customer service anyway to see if they would a least share part of the repair cost with me. They were adamant that they would not. When I purchased the unit I fully expected that it would outlast the less expensive brands. However, I dont know if its the fridges or the customer services fault, but I was starting to get water pooling in the bottom of the freezer. Ive got some damage in my wooden flooring and my pantry. I sent a complaint back in February and Im finally starting to get a response. The technician was out last week. It took six months to have someone come look at my fridge, and Im not sure why it took so long for them to get back to me. They have poor service and Im not very happy.

My friends have Viking Ranges and I like their price so I got one too. However, the handle on my oven door broke so I put in a service request over a month ago and their technician came and ordered the parts for the door, and I havent heard from them since. All the fans are not working either. It makes a loud noise and it doesnt heat up properly. I have no oven for over a month now and I cant get anyone to come over and fix it. I have three teenagers and I cant entertain, and I wasnt able to entertain last Easter. I sent a nasty email last week and they told me that the parts take a long time to order so Im not a happy camper. I would have been happy with it, but I cant use it. I bought it last July so it hasnt been a year yet. I think its a discontinued model thats why its giving me the trouble.

We built a new home and bought a Viking refrigerator floor model through a dealer. I had a built-in before, and I was happy with it, so I went with that particular refrigerator. I like the built-in because it’s not deep and things don’t get lost in the back of the refrigerator. I love my Viking refrigerator, but I’ve had eight or nine service calls on it and the people who came and serviced it have been excellent. When the refrigerator arrived, there was an issue with water coming out of the bottom of the door, and they replaced that, and then it wouldn’t make ice or water, so they changed out a harness, the water pump and the icemaker. It makes ice, but after they put in the new icemaker, the lever stops when the ice fills up, so a part was ordered and the people are coming this week to replace that. The dealer has been absolutely awesome on service and responsiveness and their staff has come out and dealt with every single problem I’ve had. However, I bought an eight-burner gas range through Pacific Kitchen & Home and I would not purchase through them again. When the range was delivered, the door needed adjustment and it’s been a nightmare to get somebody to come out through Pacific Kitchen to service it. I had to reach out to Viking directly to get any kind of service and they’re coming out this week as well. Hopefully, once everything is all in good working order, it’ll be well worth it. I also have a Viking dishwasher, which is fabulous and Im very happy with it.

I cannot seem to get my range repaired and no one at Viking seems to care. Six weeks out and no action taken. When I use the oven, the face plate holding the knobs heats up so bad you cannot touch them. Viking repair said they may install a blower behind the plate to expel the heat but after six weeks, I am about to give up. Seems to be a major design flaw to me. I sure learned a lesson about Viking. Beware.

When I moved into my house, it had a Viking six-burner cooktop which I thought was very well-done. It was enamel, not stainless steel, but was much sturdier than what I have now. I was impressed with it but its been there a while so I wanted to replace that. We redid our kitchen about five years ago and thought I would use Viking products. Thats how I started looking at the other matching pieces. I do a lot of cooking but the quality of what I purchased is not the same with what I had before. In hindsight, I wish I had just kept the Viking cooktop and had gotten double-oven in its place from somebody else. The stainless steel on the cooktop scratches. Ive already had to replace the grates once. Then the temperature on the double oven wasnt getting correct because the hinges were not strong enough. They had to be replaced to the tune of $400. Even after that was done, I still had to have a repairman come again to calibrate it correctly.Aside from the cooktop, we bought a Viking refrigerator whihc we picked in particular because we have space constraints and it worked well. The only thing I like in the new configuration of the model I have is that theres extra shelf at the top. Its very small but Im a baker so I put my pieces right in there to cool in the freezer. But the quality is horrible. Ive had several other refrigerators with which Ive been far more impressed with. The plastic inside is poorly designed in that the butter dish slides open when the door opens. Now, theyve changed it and within days it dented my initial fridge. I also had to replace an internal part as one of the drawers cracked. My first fridge had an ice maker problem and then the compressor went.I went through many months of badgering Viking to replace this thing. The Viking team members have been respectful but not timely. If I hadnt been a diligent pain in the neck, nothing wouldve happened. I had to keep contacting them before they had somebody come. When they contacted a person and I never heard anything, I contacted Viking again and finally got an email that she had left the company. But there was no follow-up.I finally got a new fridge and the people that Viking contracted with to come out were very helpful. When they came out, I spoke to Sally from Viking and wanted to verify that the trim kit will fit in the unit because I spent nearly $1,000 for the kit to make this thing look built-in. Sure enough, the contractors who came forgot the kit. So they came back again with it and only was able to put it in on one side. I then had to call a carpenter and pay out-of-pocket to have it replaced. I then called Viking again who ultimately recouped that fee for me and made me whole. But then again, the ice maker doesnt work in this new refrigerator. The repairman that Viking contracted with from Dillon Appliance came out this week and said that it doesnt function. So Im very disappointed. For the amount of money and time Ive spent on this, its crazy. I shouldnt have to have a part-time job tracking down Viking. They should do what theyre supposed to do. First of all, they should produce a good product. And second of all, Ive dealt with all these different people to have these things repaired and still have a refrigerator that doesnt have a working ice maker and this is my second fridge. And I was out of a fridge for five weeks. It was a long time and I have four kids. I have a backup fridge in the garage but its small. Nobody at Viking really seemed to be worried about this or really apologetic that their products shouldnt break and theyre very sorry that my compressor completely went under five years.I would never buy another Viking product. Its not worth the money, especially the refrigeration. Its like any other refrigerator and they slapped the Viking logo on it. Thats actually what the guy at Dillons told me. Theres nothing exceptional about it. Then Ive been somewhat pleased with the double oven except I had another double oven for years and never had to replace the hinges. Four and a half years in, Im already replacing hinges which is not exactly what I wanted to do. But I needed to retain the heat. Its a very disappointing experience. The product is by no means worth the amount of money I spent on it. The value isnt there.

The Viking registration site would not accept my information so it was somewhat of a hassle to get both of my products registered. I had to go through one of their customer service supervisors. It was a little laborious. I had to produce copies of the tags on my product. I had to produce a sales receipt and a lot more information than I would have had I been able to just use the website. The operator’s manual for the appliances is also not specific enough. The instructions are vague in regard to operating the range and turning it on. But Im generally pleased with the range. It cooks so much faster than a gas or an electric range. I also like the size of it and the interior of the oven.

My husband wanted to go with Viking. When we were at a store, they were trying to persuade us not to. They kept telling us that the Viking refrigerator tend to fail quite often and a lot of their customers actually had problems with it once it goes out of warranty, and so they have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. So, we were persuaded not to get it but my husband was determined to get it because we bought extended warranty. We like our refrigerator. We dont have any problems with it overall. We have the one side freezer, and one side fridge. We like it. Its big. I like the icemaker. Its convenient because its so wide. I wish theres more space, but overall, it functions fine. We got a Viking Refrigerator primarily because of the name and reputation. But then unfortunately, Vikings name has suffered in the last few years but hopefully, I wont have any issues with this one. The quality is fine, its fairly modern and it has nice LED lights. P.C. Richard was the dealer and they were professional and very good about it. The only thing I was a little disappointed is that it didnt have any cold water coming out and I would have expected that for a $3700 appliance. Its a very high-quality range and its working very well. We like its induction-type heating, the convection cooking for the oven, as well as its low-profile appearance. The dealer was very nice and cooperative. We werent told about the free dishwasher and he helped us get that. However, my wife is complaining about it not having a timer. For $7000, its a feature thats really needed. Its also a little noisy.

Viking sent out the claim to different companies but they had to order the parts. It keeps going around looking for the correct person to call to start with. Our Viking Adventure. In 2012 we started planning for a major remodel to our home, and part of this was gutting and updating the Kitchen. One of our choices for the kitchen update was an 8 burner (6+griddle) gas and electric range. We had always been Thermador and Sub Zero people having used these products with no issues in two previous homes for 25+ years.Viking had always had a big reputation in the range market so we decided to try one of their products and in early 2013 we purchased a new Viking range from Setzers Appliance in Ocala, FL along with other non-Viking major appliances. The range was installed in fall of 2013 by a professional installer, along with all the other appliances, at a charge of 250$ per appliance. Initially we were thrilled with the new toys but then the igniters on the range had to be replaced. This was covered under warranty. Then the doors started sagging and wouldnt seal. Viking tried to fix this on two occasions but the issues never did get resolved. Then the small oven wouldnt maintain temperature, often being off as much as 100 degrees. The range was still under warranty and they attempted to fix this... they got it close but it never did work reliably. There were several service calls over the next few years, all documented and covered by warranty covering mainly issues with the ovens not working properly. We also had a very... irresponsible and grouchy, shall we say? local service person in the Gainesville, FL area.In August of 2018 the small oven again started not maintaining temp by more than 100 degrees. We called our local service man and he gave us an appointment time a week from that day... which he missed. We called him after the no show and he said oops, I forgot.... be there by 1 tomorrow. He showed up, turned on the oven, borrowed a thermometer and said the bad news is you need a new control board and it is 600$. We told him to hold off until we contacted Viking and he took his check for the service call and headed down the road.We contacted Viking and the service rep said to have the tech email him the info on the range so he could see if Viking could do anything despite the range being out of warranty because of the extensive list of issues on the service history. We called the service tech and he said he was driving and would call back for the email address when he got back to his office. Never called. Called him a week later, again, driving... will call back when I can. Never called. This went on for almost 6 weeks before we contacted Viking again and laid it all out... he was very helpful and said, Send me all this in writing and I will see what I can do and try to find you another service tech. After a month or so it boiled down to sorry, nothing we can do including apparently the inability to even provide another service tech in all of north Florida. We are now pursuing getting the range repaired on our own and with a rather bad opinion of our 13,000.00 Viking range. It may be petty but I take some small pleasure in knowing for a fact that at least three other couples purchased products from other makers after hearing about our experience over the last few years. So, while I know there must be a reason for Vikings reputation over the years I and my wife are... less than impressed.

The oven has failed when baking/cooking for long periods of times. Viking has a policy that they wont replace, until the unit fails 3 times, and required repairs 3 times. I am dumbfounded by this companys lack of service, and lack of quality products. It was a very disappointing experience. I dont recommend Viking products. Refrigerator Model VCFF136DSS2. Almost four years old and of course the warranty runs out 6 months ago. Started two years ago with the water filter holder. The cover for the filter has a clip that breaks easily. Viking store sold me a replacement and it broke within six months. I drilled a hole in the front and put a screw into the frame and it works great. Our biggest problem now is the fridge quit working. Only the lights work. Viking said to replace the front computer board. $922 and two weeks later that did not work. Now Viking does not know how to fix it? Local repairman asked me to call Customer Relations. They said a report had to come from repair man to the Regional Service Manager. Going on third week with no fridge. Family is not happy. Viking said they will call me once they decide what to do. Parts are Whirlpool.

We researched Viking and Wolf, and we decided to go with Viking. The sales rep at Best Buy kind of talked us into it when we went and started pricing out and looking at all the different merchandise. Then when we heard that we could get a 5% cashback by purchasing them, that was the determining factor. The look of our Viking range is stunning. We love how it cooks everything evenly. We bought the range and we bought the French wall oven. We like both of them. Weve been trying to clean the wall oven and we are a little confused on that because you put water because it’s a steam clean, and it’s just different than what were used to how an oven cleans. My husband put some water in it and then turns it on to self-cleaning. It just didnt clean as much as we thought. We bought the hood, the range, the wall oven, the microwave and we have been waiting six months for a fridge and freezer that we purchased as well. But I left a message this morning because I have not received any of my rebates when I went online and did all that. I called at 9:00 and I chose mountain time because we live in Colorado, and they said that they were closed, but it was almost nine oclock and I havent heard anything back. They have not returned my phone call, too.

I wanted a good quality commercial-grade range that I could count on. I’ve been familiar with Viking for quite some time. The dealer we had was very professional. I had been to another dealer that was less than desirable to the point that I was almost insulted that they never even acknowledged that my wife and I were there. I researched and found the Athens Refrigeration. When we walked in the store, it was completely different. They were very patient and informative. They spent all the time that we needed and they would have spent more had I needed it.We bought an electric French door Viking oven and a range with the gas. We converted to gas when we made the change. We’re liking the gas more than the electric. We haven’t had our range long but so far I’m pleased with it. I also plan to visit the Viking store. I had some Viking products before and I love their products. I got a refrigerator and its very organized, compressed and is a nice statement in the kitchen. It also seems to be energy efficient because it doesn’t run in a cycle. It runs on and off a lot versus the thing compressing the air. It also maintains the temperature very easily and its quiet. The guys who brought the ref in were extremely careful and good at moving the big and heavy product. But I was offended by my experience with their dealers. They sent out a refrigerator which was boxed and I saw the delivery guys open it in front of my house and it was damaged in the box. They brought it in and they said the damage could be easily fixed by replacing one piece. I told them it was fine, I needed the refrigerator for the holiday. But as I installed the refrigerator, I noticed one packaging slip on the side of it so I removed it and inside the slip was the receipt that a new box had been ordered for this refrigerator. The refrigerator was sold to another family in a nearby suburb and returned by that family because it was damaged. But the dealer sold it to me as a new product.I immediately called the supplier and it was like the girl had been waiting for my call. They knew exactly what was going on and they ordered me another one. The other one came and they said, “Just use this one in the meantime.” I wasn’t really out a refrigerator for a long period of time, but it was just the idea of them trying to slip this damaged one past me. I would be hesitant in purchasing a high-priced item from this company again even though Im happy with the product itself.

We bought a home with an Italian Fhiaba refrigerator. We had a lot of problems with it and we had to replace it. It cannot be repaired and we only had a certain amount of money that the manufacturer had given us to purchase another refrigerator. The Viking was on sale and thats why I purchased it. It was not my first choice though. The drawers for produce, meats and cheese storage bins are so cheap and I was shocked at the interior for a Viking product. I was sad to lose my Italian refrigerator which was well-made and had beautiful interiors. I would not have bought the Viking refrigerator but it was at the right price, so I ended up with it. But would I buy another one? Absolutely not. We purchased a completely renovated home, and all the appliances were Vikings. The six-burner gas stove and the microwave are all okay, and they work great. But I would not recommend the refrigerator. When I knew I had to replace my previous refrigerator, I went onto several websites to read reviews, and very few of them were good. But my husband wasnt going to spend more money because we bought a house with a $10,000 refrigerator that ended up not working after two years. Even the plastic inside of a Sears Kenmore refrigerator is better. Viking has these soft close drawers for cheese and veggies, which are awful. I have to treat them with kid gloves, because Im afraid theyre going to break on me at any given moment. The company that owns Viking make commercial grade refrigerators and U-Line is one of their products. Its an amazing refrigerator. Why dont they use some of the same materials? Viking has been synonymous with high-end quality. But they really fell short on this one. Looks good on the outside, poor quality on the inside.

There have still been some installation problems, but we’re working on it
There have still been some installation problems, but we’re working on it. The range does not sit all the way in because the gas hookup isn’t compatible with a spec home. So theres a three-inch gap between the range and the wall. We were told by Nebraska Furniture Mart, which is where we bought the range, that we needed to get an L joint to connect it and push it further back. But they havent been able to do that. Theyve given us absolutely no guidance in what to do about it now. Changing it from a connector that comes up through the floor is simply not an option. According to our builder, its not usual to put the gas line through the floor. It’s usual to put it through the wall because ranges normally have a dead space at the bottom. Apparently, Viking does not. It’s not my first Viking, so I dont know why it never happened before. Nebraska Furniture Mart has been zero help. So we’re working with our builder to see what we can do. The range is not flushed against the wall. So when the automatic fan comes on, it vibrates like crazy. We’ve built several houses and we’ve had Viking range before. We like it and it’s a good range. We’ve never had any problems with the actual functioning of the range.

We’ve previously lived in houses and in rentals that had Viking in them and I know that it’s a good brand. And when we were looking at the appliances, there was a couple that fitted in our budget and we also looked at the style of the oven. We looked at Wolf and Sub-Zero, and Viking, just a combination of the style, price, and functionality, won out over those. We bought a Viking refrigerator and a range from an online company out of New Jersey. It came from the factory and it looked like it had been packed up with a dent in the door. It was underneath all the packaging and theres no kind of dents in the packaging. It was difficult to figure out how to get that repaired on someone else’s dime because it’s not our fault. The dealer was more problematic than Viking. It was like sending emails to a blank wall. I felt like they could’ve said that this was not their issue and they’re sorry for sending it to us. They were just searching to figure out who I needed to contact. After four emails and a handful of phone calls they told me to call Viking. And then Viking sorted it out as I could expect. They took care of it in a good fashion and took complete charge of its cost. Viking had someone came out and replaced the door. Then, something also happened when they installed the range. Some of the workers tried to move the range around and they pulled off the door of our oven and that had nothing to do with Viking. But we were able to get that sorted out on the same day. It’s good for it to all happen at once versus a couple of times. The quality of the range is good and it seemed perfectly functional, especially after the door was fixed. It works when it needs to work.

We bought our Viking range through Best Buy and the customer service was good over there until we started getting the appliances. They said it was like a white glove delivery. They took everything apart and installed it and it wasnt smooth. The fridge door was damaged and they swapped it but it wasnt good. They brought another one and it was exactly the same problem. We had to change it two times. They left that plastic that covered the stainless steel of the fridge. They didnt remove it well so its hard to get it now. Then, the first person that came to install the range said he didnt know how to install a gas range and an electrical oven so he just walked away. The other people that came to install it had the pieces they needed to bring, but they didnt have any other time to come and my husband and I had bought tickets for a concert so my husband had to miss that. I had to go by myself and we lost the money on that. And the guy was saying racist things. Also, the dishwasher came and it was completely destroyed. The door was all bent. We moved into the kitchen without the dishwasher. Then they brought a dishwasher and they installed it bad. They sent us the new people to install it and those people treated me really bad. It was a battle. If Viking has their product represented by Best Buy, it wasnt good and unfortunately, that’s reflected on Vikings product. But when we had a little problem with our range and we had to call Viking for the warranty, which was surprising, they resolved it. They sent a company that will come cover my area and they came after I called. It was relatively fast.

Viking built in double door refrigerator is two years old and is terrible, I have had four service calls to fix it. The first time it simply shut down and stopped working, the service tech replaced the inverter and then it has started leaking water all over the floor. I have now called four times to have it fixed. The local, West Coast Regional Office is a joke. They dont even answer the phone. When they do answer I get the run-around until I insist they send someone to fix it, which then takes two or three days. And then, three weeks later the same thing happens. The unit has a three year warranty and Viking is refusing to honor it. They are just the worst example of customer service I can imagine. My advice is to avoid the purchase of any of their products.

I recently purchased what I thought was a nice used fridge (Viking Designer Series Fridge DDFF136DSS0) from someone only to find out that it most likely has a bad motherboard. It doesnt cool at all and the display on the front shows nothing but a blue screen. The buttons dont do anything except for light up. After researching, apparently these motherboard controls have been failing a lot with these models and Viking charges $1,000 for a new control board. That is insane for something that is failing regularly. For that price and the repair, I might have to just go and buy a new fridge from a different company. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of care that Viking has presented in the matter. This is a major problem with Vikings product and they do not care. I commented that I could buy a new fridge for the price of the part and the Viking agent laughed and said, I dont know why you think that, people say that all the time but you cant buy one from us at that price. It was rude. I am extremely disappointed. This was for my family but I am a home remodeller and will not be recommending Viking with this type of repair cost and horrible service.

I got a Viking fridge knowing that it was one of the more expensive, better products for kitchen appliances. The purchasing process has been fine but the appliances have not been that great. Within one month of moving in, the defrost sensor crapped out and we lost all the food in our fridge. There was still a warranty for it but we had to lose money. The problem was we purchased a home from a builder and it came with Viking appliances. So that stuff was out of warranty and the builder didnt cover anything. Based on what Ive read, I would go with a Wolf instead of Viking.

I wanted to pair up all my products with the same thing. I was choosing from Viking, Wolf, and Sub-Zero, and it was a comparison between them. We chose Viking over the Sub-Zero line cause Sub-Zero has a dishwashing machine that has an interior that I wasnt completely satisfied with. In addition, Viking should also make a wine fridge so that my entire houses appliances would be a Viking. I have their range, the hood, and the dishwasher cause thats pretty much the only appliances that they offer. The range is good, but its burner tends to leave a lot of watermarks which is like a darkening stain. And for whatever price Im paying for them, it shouldnt be something like that. The appearance on the burner of a Viking should have been a little cleaner. The main effect that just blows me off. No matter how much I do, it looks like its dirty but its not. From my experience, I have heard of lots of people telling its gonna do that, and I already knew about it before I bought the product. I even asked the person where I picked it if there was any way to prevent it. I was told Ive got to replace it. I called Viking up and replaced the little lid. But the main thing is that it heats up all my food and I love that its flame. Its so powerful that everything just heats up twice as fast compared to a regular Sears product that I would have bought. I have a close relative that owns the Wolf line of the same exact products that I have from Viking, and I have used their products before I bought the Viking products. The Viking does everything like a commercial grade appliance would do but its not commercial grade so it does the effect for our household, in general. And it does work 20% faster with me cooking on a Viking than on a Wolf. But at the same time, the Wolf that I used was three years older than the newer series that most probably came out with the changes that they have. As for the dishwasher, its great and it matches all my appliances but I wish it was more fancy enough. If I have to pick a dishwasher all over again, I would have gone with Sub-Zero. Even though I didnt like the interior much, it is a little bit nicer in the features that Ive seen on the newer ones. Other than that, everything else seems fine and well-warrantied.

The house we purchased had a Viking Range and it was un-repairable according to our insurance so they said, “Replace it,” and we decided we want to keep the same. The one we had before was a four-burner and we replaced it with a five-burner. But my wife wants me to call on it for service now because the guy who installed it said to do a deep cleaning right away. So we did for like two and a half hours and after that every time we turn the oven on the fan has a weird noise it didn’t have before. Before everything was nice and quiet. We could hear the fan coming on exhausting the oven. And then after we did the deep clean -- the high temperature clean, now it sounds like the fan is hitting something. When we installed it the place I bought it at said that they would be putting in something like anti-tip or something to the oven so if someone stands on the door the oven wont tip over. But they did not put that in. We also ran across some problem when we were trying to fix the original stove. The cleaning function would not work on it and the burners wouldn’t fire up every time. We had to use an igniter. But I had maybe four different people out here to look at it and said, “No, we don’t do this Viking.” They wont do it. That had scared my mother a little because we were remodeling her apartment and she was thinking of getting Viking but were not too sure now because its difficult to find service for them. Not everybody deals with Viking.

I like the design, quality, size and features of Viking. The delivery of the refrigerator went well. I had it delivered in March, and been using it fine. But it wasnt until about three weeks ago, I had some renovating and remodeling. I had the plumbers come out and they connected the water line to the fridge so it can make ice. They hooked it up and I left for work, came back and only about 10 pieces of ice were made. So, I called up the place that I bought it from and they sent out a technician today but they couldnt figure it out. The technician was like, Oh, you need to send this in to Viking. This is a 700-pound unit. I spoke with them and they said that they will come out again to get this figured out. So, Im not very happy with the fridge at the moment. I also had ordered a Viking hood, a Viking stove, a dishwasher and a microwave. The microwave is fine so far. The range and dishwasher, I had ordered back in May, still havent received them.

Viking Combi oven model vcso210ss - This is an unsafe product. The trays on this small unit have no stops. As a result of this design defect, the trays slide forward and down. Because of this downward motion, anything on or in the tray has the potential to splash or fall onto the door, which pulls down, or onto the hands of the consumer. Fortunately, no injuries to date but will probably use mostly in the microwave mode which requires no tray.

We built a new home 14 months ago and had Viking appliances put in it. But my Viking range has been broken for 12 of those 14 months. The repair guy would fix one thing and then something else would go bad or he would uncover something else that was already bad. They were out four times before somebody said, We dont ever do this, but we need to replace the range. So, I ended up getting an entirely new range. But theres not been one day that it hasnt been broken and a ticket was open. Also, if I make a call, it takes at least three weeks to get a response and somebody to work on it. At one point, I waited six weeks to get somebody to come. Thats not acceptable. Also, they are are saying, This part is stuck at.... I am so tired of all these ships because of COVID that are stuck in some foreign space station somewhere that nobody knows exists. But the product has been good once they give me the one thats working. I would buy Viking again because of the product. It was the follow-up that I have a problem with. A high-end company did a very big disservice to a good product because of how they acted post-failure.

I bought my first Viking in 2004 with my inheritance from my grandmother. I always dreamed of having a professional kitchen. I purchased all Thermador except for my Fridge. I have a Viking 36inch drawer freezer on bottom. Never ending recalls and issues then I purchased a new one from the company on a recall. The man showed up with the new unit and fixed the recall on the recalled unit. Well, that was in 2011, it is now 2017 and guess what? I am in the same shape as I was before. However, no deal. I have fallen on pretty much deaf ears. You can even YouTube funny skits about it, but the techs will look at you like you are the only person in the world. I have a mental block on that beeping noise when the compressor goes out and I am about to lose all my food. Good news though, I just found out they are indeed suppose to defrost themselves. So, if you are a gambler, like taking chances... maybe just maybe you will be lucky enough not to deal with what I have. Cheers!Updated on [05/06/2018]: I wanted to follow up with all the promises that were made to me. Well, that just did not work out so now I have a trusty 159.00 freezer from Sams Wholesale Club and my ice cream is now frozen. I found out that well they had also replaced the parts they replaced while I was ill for a pretty penny and they are still claiming no fault. However, my Thermador products are working like a charm and I will be investing in their products. Please learn from my experience... when you buy expensive products make sure the quality and customer support is behind you. I have no problem paying... but don’t give me Magic Chief with a Viking name on it. Not to mention treat me like a human being. I work hard for my money. I’m sure even Viking would not tolerate what they do to their clients.

Purchased Viking 48 wide by side in 2002. Compressor went out within 6 months, thankfully was under warranty. There was a door recall a few years later AND then another recall for those doors! The company that replaced the doors are familiar with Viking fridges and were able to to be somewhat helpful, suggesting we not place anything within 8 inches of any of the interior vents. We have NEVER been able to get the temp right. We have never been able to keep our fruits and veggies in the produce drawers as they become frozen. If we turn the temp down the milk goes bad, etc. Several of interior the plastic parts have broken under normal use: handle portion of ice maker drawer broke off in my hand, lid of bottom meat/produce drawer snapped off. Now the fridge lights have gone out (all simultaneously.) Try going to the Viking site to find a manual or worse yet parts. Everything there is SO difficult! They sent us a manual and I was able to download two, but none of them show the same control panel as what we have, since when there was a door recall, we received a new control panel as well... I feel sorry for the people that work for Viking. I will never purchase another Viking product. We purchased a high end Thermador range and KitchenAid Micro-Convection oven the same year and have had no problems with those appliances!

We have a full suite of Viking appliances. Its pricey but we chose them for their reputation and style. My wife likes the refrigerator more but I find it a little too shallow. Everythings up front. But aesthetically, its very pleasing and it goes with the other appliances as well as the rest of the redone kitchen, and it’s so far, so good. Initially, we had a problem with the refrigerator. It was probably within the first month. Id found a puddle of water below the freezer on the floor. I did not appreciate that at all. It had gone into a defrost mode unexpectedly, and we had to throw everything in the freezer away. The icemaker has that bar that will cut it off as it slows up. That doesnt work. The ice overflows and ends up on the bottom of the freezer. It’s never turned itself off, so you have to turn it off manually to stop the ice being generated. Otherwise, if you pull out the top shelf of the freezer, its higher than the rod because it pushes it out of it, pushes it to the back and out the back, off the end. Were not the only ones. We speak to other people who have it, and they say they have the same issue. From what I understand, there is no fix. It just doesnt do what you thought it would do. Thats something that from a design perspective should be looked at.

Weve had a very poor experience with our Viking. I had to return it to the store twice and then ultimately replace it with a different brand altogether. Most of the issues stem from a true ignition type igniter which is how the Vikings operate. So, when you set it to cook, it goes tick, tick, tick, and then lights itself up. But then, it shuts down. Also, to maintain temperature every few minutes, it tick, tick, ticks and fires up again. Once it comes up to temperature, it has clanging sounds. It also has an extremely loud fan that runs constantly the moment you turn the oven on. That was what we sought to fix via a replacement of the unit. The first one we received had a miscut piece in the air vent at the back. At first, they serviced it and said it was probably a defective fan. So, we swapped it with a brand-new one and it had the same problem. It cooks fine but its loud. My wife is a gourmet chef and she can appreciate the higher quality of things. Shes much happier with the LG that we ended up getting versus the Viking.

We purchased a newly built home and had all Viking appliances installed. The range puts out good heat but the oven is definitely malfunctioning. It cycles every minute no matter what temperature you set it to so if I am baking something that takes 2 hours, Ill hear the igniter click and the flame come on over 100 times. I dont know if its because the flame is reigniting so often but the smell of gas is so strong. Also, the door gets so hot you cant even touch it without wearing an oven mitt. All of these make me afraid to use the oven. I called Viking and theyve sent out the same repair person twice who told me that the cycling every minute is normal and the door is supposed to get hot because heat radiates. I understand heat radiates but it shouldnt get so hot you can burn yourself. What happens if children accidentally get close to the oven? I also dont understand why for a supposed high end oven, the temperature cant be maintained for more than a minute when the flame goes out before it reignites again. And since its cycling every minute no matter what temp you set it to and regardless if you leave the oven door closed for 2 hours (yes, we tested it with the door closed for 2 hours to make sure we werent losing heat from opening the door), it doesnt seem like the cycling is temperature related at all. When I call Viking, they tell me this is NOT normal and a repair person needs to come out to make adjustments. Theyve sent the same repair person twice who insists this is normal. I called again today and asked for a different company. The same person has been scheduled to come out tomorrow, wholl likely tell me again that this is what I have to get use to with this oven. This oven is a hazard. Youll either be afraid to use it or youll end up burning yourself or inhaling carbon monoxide fumes. I had to turn the oven off yesterday because I got a terrible headache from the fumes. I am writing this to advise everyone to not buy a Viking. Also, now it is documented that these issues existed in the event something bad happens.

Its a tough year because we bought the Viking range during COVID. We bought it last October but we couldnt get it until February or March. It was the same with our SubZero refrigerator. Its just the way it was last year. Our contractor put the range in and the ease of install was fine. They did the kitchen remodel and then, we redid counters and cabinets. The range heats up fast and even, and the stove and the burners work well. But the grates started showing wear. There are dings in it, like you dropped something on the grates or theyre torn off, and we hardly use it. The quality is not standing up to the price we paid for it. One thing I would like to have known is to burn it up before you try to cook something in it. I should have read the directions. We set off the smoke detectors. A sticker on the window might be a good idea. My wife had surgery and we had someone come to help my wife, and she was the one who used the oven first. The burners were easy to use. I had gas for the last 30 years so it was not hard so we didnt think about reading the instructions. We read them after we almost had the fire department called. Fortunately, we have good ventilation in the house and we have a Viking hood but that was what was expensive.

We had a Viking refrigerator for 15 years and it was built-in. It was good until it conked out. We had to go with the same refrigerator because we happen to have certain size constrictions. I called Viking because we needed a specific size and I was checking on all the measurements on the 48-inch. The gal told me that it should all work out as far as the fit because we didnt want it to get here and not have it fit in its space. I also asked about the pricing so that I knew I wasnt going to be ripped off. The new refrigerator is updated and it seems to have a better seal. Theres also supposed to be a thing inside where we never have to clean it. Id like my refrigerator to last longer than 15 years because its expensive. Thats like 1,000 a year when you add it up and I dont wanna have to pay that for a refrigerator. They said that the new one supposedly is gonna be lasting longer. We liked the look of the Viking Ranges. We also liked the multiple burners and the size of the double oven. We knew what we wanted as we shopped, and we picked Viking out. Weve had a couple of problems, though, but it is covered by warranty because we built the house. We had to have it completely replaced once, because the main oven door wouldnt close and seal. The original dealer stopped carrying Viking, so we ended up having to get the replacement from another dealer. Because it was an all-new construction, the builder handled finding the other dealer, and he contacted them. They quoted all the same appliances and everything was smooth. The pricing wasn’t any different. It was just a matter of waiting for construction completion, and everything was here when we moved in. It didnt hold up construction. With the replacement, though, the two oven doors dont align. There’s an uneven gap, so it looks like somethings crooked. But theyre coming next week to try to get that fixed. Were hoping that its some adjustment that they can make and not another problem. Another thing is that it has all large burners. Theres nothing smaller for just a small pot to simmer something, so I’m always dealing with a larger wider diameter pot. But it’s a nice product, so far. Theyve been accommodating with the issues that weve had, so I would recommend it.

The sales cycle so OK, but nothing fantastic, through University Electric of Santa Clara. Organizing the installation could have been smoother. Also, the free units offered with the oven had terrible reviews so I declined them, but no alternative credit was available. Installation by GA Installations was very smooth. However, the small oven has not worked properly since installation. Getting a service visit took weeks, and failed to correct the problem. Second visit is today, another several weeks later. Service guy said he had never seen our problem before, so either we have a uniquely bad unit or the service professional didnt know his stuff. If todays visit does not fix the issue, I expect the complete oven to be replaced. For a premium appliance, I did not expect anything like this. One more thing - my online registration wasnt visible to Viking when I called in the service request, even though I got an email confirming the registration. I just logged in to get the order info, and I still dont see it there. Feel free to call to discuss!!

I was looking at the Viking refrigerator and it was fit for what I wanted it for. It was also better priced than most of the other commercial units, so I decided to purchase it. I have it in my home for a year in May now and its a good refrigerator. But I had problems with it and I had technicians out here at least four times to work on it.I had a tech out twice for the icemaker when it wasnt working. Something had burned out in there so they had to come and replace that. From what I could tell, these repairmen were not familiar with these products, so they were not too sure. They were constantly making phone calls asking someone else how to do things but most of all, it was like some of these things were failing inside of the refrigerator. I also had a problem with the water dispenser. The rubber over it was broken and Viking shipped one part out. Then the repairman was out for that but it still didn’t work properly. So now, I’ve been waiting for this thing to be fixed and it has been three months. Aside from that, the BlueZone bulb burned out when it should not be going out after only seven months. I didn’t even have the refrigerator for a year. So, I had to buy another bulb which was a hundred bucks. Then, the refrigerator kept beeping after I replaced the BlueZone bulb, so I had to call somebody to come out to turn off this annoying beep. It was weird. All in all, Viking hasnt fine-tuned some of the little things on their product and everything there needs to be looked at. Even the replacement parts werent fitting and I don’t understand it. It’s also a little disappointing. I haven’t even paid the thing off and I’ve had the service guy five times out. They need to care more about customer service, too. The refrigerator is under a three-year manufacturer’s warranty but they wouldn’t replace the bulb. First, they told me that they didn’t have the bulb. So, I got the bulb at no cost. Then I didn’t hear anything, so I followed up with them and they said that I had to go back to my dealer, buy the bulb from them, and let them come and install it. Not only that, when I called Viking, they didn’t have the bulb in stock and I had to wait four months for someone to get this stupid bulb in stock. But Viking sells an $11,000 refrigerator, so they gotta have the replacement parts.

Were very happy with our Viking refrigerator. Its a drink fridge and its quality is really great. The layout inside is nice and because we got a counter-depth unit, its not big and bulky. We knew that Viking has good products and we bought a Viking fridge based on quality and style. I would definitely recommend Viking Refrigerators.

I love the quality of the range we purchased from Viking. And I really like the cook top, and the style of the range. Our experience at the Viking dealer was excellent. We came in contact with the owner of the company, and I was impressed with his personality. Hes a great person, there was no pressure as far as the sales, and he showed us around the showroom. Everything has been great. And if somebody would ask about Viking, Id say it is the best.

I purchased our Viking Refrigerator Model DFSB423D 48 side by side in 2005 and have had nothing but problems since 2006. Ice maker stopped working, tray at bottom fills, etc. Ice maker was replaced and its still having problems. After a year of services, Viking has said that the seal is unrepairable. They have offered us 50% off a new unit. So, we will be out of pocket $4800 for a refrigerator we dont even want. They need to replace the unit with no cost to us. There is a lemon law for appliances. How come no one has hired an attorney or started a class action? We are sending our final letter. We will wait for a response and then if the response is unacceptable, we will be hiring an attorney. Join us!
