We were doing a complete remodel of our kitchen, so I was looking at all the appliances for the kitchen. Ive done remodels of kitchens for five or six years and Ive always used Sub-Zero but we decided to try how Viking would work out. We liked the look, the overall aesthetics, and quality of it and the pricing was a big thing, too. There seemed to be a good overall package deal with the broad suite of Viking appliances. What we ended up doing was our entire kitchen is all Viking appliances. The refrigerator has been good so far. The lighting and design are good and I like the easy closing of drawers which is kind of nice. Also, the ability of not to have to do the cleaning of the vents and things was an important feature.

We wanted to have a nice Viking refrigerator as we thought it would be better than its competitors. I like the idea that when you open the door, it has the temperature and all of those little controls. The first thing we didn’t like about it was that it didn’t have a water dispenser on the inside or the outside but that hasn’t proven to be a big problem. Another issue is that when the ice falls into the bin, it’s pretty loud. My wife has more issues with it. One time there was some kind of leak and all the ice melted together. We had a nice relationship with the dealer except that when we got the refrigerator and found out there was no water dispenser, we called them and he never called us back. After a while, we just got used to it and I was disappointed in that. He was a good friend when we were buying from him but after we bought it, he didn’t wanna be bothered. But overall, we’re happy with the refrigerator and we don’t have any big deals about it.

I saw a Viking refrigerator at Colders Appliance Store and bought it. It was significantly discounted because it was a floor model. Its a side-by-side fridge and the two doors dont align perfectly. Its something you can see and it stands out a little bit. And theres no easy way to adjust in and out and get things in perfect plane. I would have preferred French doors because I could have gotten a full sheet tray in the refrigerator. Whereas with the side-by-side, I cant. But I wanted the 42-inch and Viking dont make a 42-inch with a single door. But other than that, it has been fine.

The first range, a 36 open burner and the range hood, have been fine for 12 years. Surviving a move to a new house even. The dishwasher purchased at the same time started badly staining glassware & silver after a couple years. Viking said it was crappy dishwasher soap (phosphates removed) but the Bosch at our ranch did fine. Limeaway removed the staining temporarily. Inspected the racks and found the plastic coating cracked exposing the carbon wire core which was rusting. Viking said theyd happily sell me new racks for $450. Compared it to a neighbors dishwashers, found it to be an Asko. Racks were less than half Vikings. Very Funny. 30 open burner gas stove at ranch would not light/stay lit. Viking said likely master propane regulator was bad (but fireplace & Rannai water heater worked fine). Third-party repair person specified by Viking found range regulator out of limit, requested replacement. A month later, no regulator after many calls. I built a water manometer, adjusted Viking regulator to spec, range worked fine. Then noticed when range top leveled, triangular gaps between range & counter face. Adjusting feet to plumb range sides with counter made range top 1/2 bubble off. Viking said floor not level (it was fine). Problem was range not square, back had been screwed on with sides not plumb. Called third party repair person, he said call somebody else. Viking hadnt paid him for diagnosing the regulator problem. Removed back, squared stove, replaced back (new screw holes required), problem solved. BBQ looked massively professional but cast-iron burners holes continually rusted shut, had to be reamed twice a year. Porcelainized sheet iron flame diffusers and grates didnt last two years (their new ones are stainless), found SS burners, diffusers & grates on the internet for 1/4 Vikings prices. Drip-drawer plastic (!), rollers melted immediately, replaced with SS. Moral: Great appearance, great brochures, celebrity endorsements (paid, most likely), a generous retail mark-up (probably) encourages dealer loyalty and dealer omission of known crappy quality control, crappy build details and total absence of warranty service discharge. Wouldnt buy anything Viking again...

We purchased a Viking refrigerator in 2008. We have had continuous problems with it and have had times gone up to five months because the parts could not be delivered. Our latest problem began the end of June and the repairman is still waiting for the part to be delivered. While the repair service is competent I believe, they cannot do anything unless they have the parts. This is been a totally frustrating experience. Having paid for a very expensive and supposedly high-quality refrigerator it is frustrating to see how many times it has broken and how long it takes to get a repair. We also have a cheaper fridge purchased at the same time when we built our home and it continues to work just fine with no repairs as of today. I would not recommend Viking to anyone. Having just got off the phone with Joy from customer service she is a ray of hope.

8 years ago we did a total renovation to our kitchen and chose to put in a 48 Viking range/hood. This undoubtedly was our most expensive purchase. In the last 7 years I have had nothing but problems. 2 of the burners never light unless done with a match. I am now on my 3rd thermostat for the broiler, I have been waiting 3 MONTHS for this part... Again!!! The oven thermostat has been replaced 2 times. Of course these repairs have cost us $500-$1500. This has been the most disappointing purchase I have ever made. Terrible product and terrible customer service. Dont DO IT... Buy something that backs up its product for more than a year!!!

This refrigerator is a disaster! The ice maker has broken repeatedly since Ive owned it. Repair calls and bills for that and it still doesnt work. The plastic handles on the bins are all broken. When you pull on them to open the drawers, they break. And the worse thing? It leaks. I have thousands of dollars of damage to my bamboo floor. After having this repaired, I see that the pan under the refrigerator fills up with water every few days. This is a refrigerator, not a high tech device. The engineering should be mundane. Ive had other refrigerators from GE that are far less expensive that never needed servicing. Nothing with this refrig works and I dont understand how this company could release it for sale, not have a recall, not replace them, not offer money back. The product is totally defective.I see that many others on this site have experienced the same problem. I am considering instituting a class action lawsuit. If you are interested, please let me know. It is unethical, bad business and fraudulent for the company to sell defective products and then not stand behind them.

So, new refrigerator and freezer to replace a defective Viking product previously installed. The installers were amateurs. They came by to survey the house to make certain they could get the equipment in, but still brought the wrong equipment to get the units in the house. They also did not bring the correct tools to complete the installation. They had to borrow from another contractor that I had working at the house and from me to get the units installed. Totally unacceptable. Finally installed, and the freezer doesnt make ice, really???After two additional trips, someone determines that the wrong switch was installed on the freezer by the factory. It took over 5 WEEKS to get this resolved, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I tried to buy American and local, I live in Mississippi, but I get torpedoed by Vikings total ineptitude at building products and by Vikings installation agents complete incompetence. I will NEVER recommend Viking for ANYTHING. Your products are totally inferior and installation is an abomination.

Viking is a good brand. And we saw it at Best Buy, and we liked what we saw. The salespeople were very professional. The quality of our range is pretty good, but we’re a little upset with a couple of things. For the price of the range that we bought, it’s a pretty high-end range, and the burners are all stained up with the heat. It doesn’t very look appealing. As soon as we had it installed, we had trouble with one of the burners not lighting up, and we’re still having the same issue. Other than that, we like it. I like that it’s a six burner. And I like the BTU part of it the most.

My wife likes cooking so we wanted to buy a professional-level range. We got one from Viking Range and it has an oven and convection and it heated up very fast to the temperature that I set up when broiling. But when I tried to do baking and set up the temperature to 300 it never heated up to 300. I thought there were some ignition issues so I tried for a couple of times and sometimes it worked but sometimes it didn’t. I planned on trying more times to see exactly what the issues were. I also called them before to tell them what the issues were and they said they couldn’t help unless I register my product so I did. And when I called them back I waited for around five minutes but they were busy and I couldn’t get an answer so I just hung up and stopped trying. The call didn’t go to voicemail as well but they were nice during the conversation with them. Overall, it was good. My wife cooks all the time using it and I notice that the power is really strong. We have six burners and the heat is very consistent and in general I like it a lot.

I’ve owned three Viking Ranges before and it’s less expensive than a Wolf. For the dollar, the qualitys okay. I would probably have a different type of seal around the burner, a different oxider paint on the grating on the top, a more commercial look or feel to it as well as the balance of internal oven temperature to change its quality. But I like that it’s got a good clean look from the front appearance and its ability to find different configurations on the top burner versus flat top versus grill.Right now, I’m waiting 16 days for a service from the dealer for fulfillment on it. The hinges on the oven door are not working properly. They’ve passed me off to a secondary person, which is from elite to American which is their repair install group. Also, the first Viking fridge that I bought did not hit temp ever and it took over a week to get back up. I also bought a Viking refrigerator drawer set that as full and brand new box set, and it broke down, and they would not repair it. It was too expensive for the warranty to work, so they wanted to credit me back my money. It was a poor experience with their dealer.

May 22nd I pay 178 bucks to their agent Oceanic repairs to tell me how to fix the ceramic top of my electric oven which is broken. Now two weeks after repeated calls to their agent and Viking, no one even has told me when it will be fixed. Since it’s dangerous to operate a cracked ceramic oven top, we couldn’t even boil water for two weeks. And probably will have to sit a few more weeks before they will enlighten me when this ceramic top will be fixed. By then, I will be forced to buy another oven, of course never Viking again. Please don’t pay this kind of money for a brand which will take weeks to just tell you when your oven will be fixed.

Well, in the event that a Viking representative would ever read these reviews, I thought I would add our experience. We have a 48 side by side professional unit which, thank heavens, the previous owners paid for, not us. I would definitely give 1 star if we were the ones out $11,000... The day we moved in there was a puddle of water on the floor under the freezer side. Since that day - 6 months ago - we have had a technician out 4 times for the same problem. He has tried multiple solutions. One day the freezer just quit working. So much ice had built up inside that the fan broke. Now the second fan has broken. The contents of our freezer have just melted for the second time. We eventually said, Forget the ice maker! Who needs ice?! Just disconnect the water from the freezer! And today, again, the freezer is dead and water is puddling on the floor. Its a mystery to us, and obviously the technician. Since we cant afford to replace this beast - and dont really want a gigantic built-in space with a tiny-looking regular fridge in it - we are going to buy a freezer for our garage and just use the fridge side! Maybe I can use the freezer to store extra light bulbs and paper towels...I will never buy Viking!

So, Im not happy with Viking. When we did a complete remodel of our kitchen in 2018 we purchased Viking range top, downdraft vent & dual wall ovens. Viking had a promotion going where they threw in the dishwasher. The dishwasher stopped working in late January 2019, about 8 months after installation. We called the Viking authorized appliance repair company. They sent a service tech out 8 days later. He informed us the dishwasher had a bad water pump and circuit board. Told us it would take a week or two to get replacement parts. Never heard back so after two weeks I called the service center and was informed the parts would be in late March which means were out of a dishwasher for over 2 months.I am a general contractor with over 40 years in the business and have never experienced a dishwasher failure. I guess that is why Viking is giving them away! I may go ahead and purchase a Miele and throw this Viking unit out. I dont know how Viking can justify two month wait times for parts. Im really happy that it wasnt the cooktop or oven with a problem but now wondering if we do have an issue with either of those how long will it take to get parts.

Ive been a homeowner for a lot of years and Ive always seen and known about Viking Ranges. Theyre lovely, a dream come true and everybody wants one. We have an appliance store down the street and when we went down there to look for dishwashers, they were running a special where if we bought a range, wed get a dishwasher for free. So, we just dove in, bit the bullet and got it. Weve dealt with the fellow there several times and hes always been great with us. Weve had to purchase items over the years and we always go back to him. He had a floor model of this particular range and he said that it was a great product, so thats what we went with. Viking is a well-known name in the industry and their range was the highest and top of the line range we can use without a direct overhead exhaust. However, we didnt have a good experience with it. Every time the exhaust fan came on, it vibrated and made a terrible noise. It was intolerable. Their service guy said it wasnt leveled but it was leveled fine when it was installed. Nobody could figure out why it was making the noise when the exhaust fan came on. I said, Obviously, somethings loose. Its vibrating. And it took them seven trips, two different service companies, to figure out what it was and it doesnt do it anymore. It was very frustrating on our behalf. Wed probably not buy their product again because of that. It was also delivered with a broken grate on top too. I had to go into the showroom and exchange it for the grate they had on the display. From day one, when it was delivered with a broken grate, right away I was upset. If I spent $500 or $1,200 for a range, Im okay. But it was $5,000 so Im expecting something to be worth $5,000, not a vibrating thing that was making noise. I have a service contract that I paid another $500 for so they have to come to me. It looks beautiful and it works great now, but the first year and a half was a disaster. And Im not quite sure how they fixed it and if its gonna hold up long enough. It was probably dropped or mishandled during its original shipment from its factory to its final destination that was why these problems came. Till today, its working fine, but Im not happy with the whole experience and would definitely not recommend it.

I purchased the Viking range in the summer and it has been physically operationally working for about three months. I had to have my kitchen redone, so we started with appliances first, then we installed it once the kitchen was pre-configured. It was a stand-up oven as opposed to a countertop. We’ve used it on several occasions and it has been great. The unit is very solid, has high BTU efficient, and has the gas top as well as the oven. It is a convection oven, which we never had before, so it has enhanced some of our food preparations by far. The appliance is quite heavy but that is part of the solid construction. Also, we haven’t used the self-cleaning function yet and we haven’t used the unit to a great extent. The prices of Viking are fairly high in range, like Wolf, Milan, and other manufacturers and the price of the unit I purchased was much higher than I wanted to spend. The particular stove model we purchased is being discontinued, which didnt bother me because the product itself is what’s important and it doesnt mean it’s not gonna be supported by the manufacturer.

My wife and I just replaced our Viking side by side with a Sub Zero side by
My wife and I just replaced our Viking side by side with a Sub Zero side by side. Boy what a difference. During the warranty period the service tech was out to our house about once per month. The Ice Maker didnt work in that it dripped water into the ice tray and formed long hanging icicles which made it almost impossible to open the ice drawer. The screw mechanism that forced the ice into the ice crusher would fail on a regular basis so we could never use our machine for crushed ice. The rubber seals on the doors began cracking early on preventing a tight door closure. The plastic drawers and shelves began cracking as well. Since almost all of them began cracking at the same time this was more of a poor materials issue than a one time problem. The machine has only one compressor which cools the freezer. There is a fan between the freezer and refrigerator that blows cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator to keep it cool. This means that everything on the top two shelves of the refrigerator were usually frozen. The compressor failed and since the freezer and refrigerator were on the same compressor we lost both. The control panel on top of the machine was basically useless in that it had a useless bar led graph rather than a digital numerical display to give you a relative estimate of the coldness setting in the freezer. When we replaced this Viking with a Sub Zero it was like being reborn. All of the design issues we suffered with the Viking are absent in the Sub Zero, including the single compressor issue. The Sub Zero has two compressors, one for the refrigerator and one for the freezer which are isolated from one another. The Sub Zero has easy to use numerical controls to independently set the freezer and refrigerator temperatures to a resolution of one degree, air filters to remove Ethylene gasses produced by stored vegetables, an internal on/off switch to power up/down the machine for maintenance or cleaning, and it has what looks to be a reliable ice maker and water dispenser design. The other issue we had problems with is that it is difficult if not impossible to find a Viking certified appliance repair company when you live in a remote area. The closest Viking certified repair company was 100 miles away. This creates huge problems, especially when the warranty expires.

Purchased Viking 48 wide by side in 2002. Compressor went out within 6 months, thankfully was under warranty. There was a door recall a few years later AND then another recall for those doors! The company that replaced the doors are familiar with Viking fridges and were able to to be somewhat helpful, suggesting we not place anything within 8 inches of any of the interior vents. We have NEVER been able to get the temp right. We have never been able to keep our fruits and veggies in the produce drawers as they become frozen. If we turn the temp down the milk goes bad, etc. Several of interior the plastic parts have broken under normal use: handle portion of ice maker drawer broke off in my hand, lid of bottom meat/produce drawer snapped off. Now the fridge lights have gone out (all simultaneously.) Try going to the Viking site to find a manual or worse yet parts. Everything there is SO difficult! They sent us a manual and I was able to download two, but none of them show the same control panel as what we have, since when there was a door recall, we received a new control panel as well... I feel sorry for the people that work for Viking. I will never purchase another Viking product. We purchased a high end Thermador range and KitchenAid Micro-Convection oven the same year and have had no problems with those appliances!

However, I had a problem with quality with the latest one Ive purchased. I had a technician come out for 5-6 times and when we still couldnt get it resolved. I called them and they offered to replace it. I wasnt really that happy with the dealer. I dont know if Id still go back there. I was trying to decide between Viking and another oven. Their oven would take a while to get so I went with the Viking, and it didnt come in as quickly as I had anticipated. Nevertheless, I love it. I have the dual range so I have the electric oven, the gas cooktop and two ovens. I love the convenience of having the two ovens. I have lots of room when I cook big meals. The surface of the stove is great because I have lots of burners that I can use. I also have the big overhead stand and the heat lamps. It makes it a lot easier to cook and I like to cook. Its a great oven for cooking and baking.

I used Viking previously since they had a good name before and I went with them again. But the quality of the fridge that I purchased from them this time is very bad. It breaks down a lot and the temperature doesn’t work properly in any manner. Also, the space is not very friendly and its so small inside, even though its a big fridge. I called Viking and the reps asked me to register my model, and if I had an issue theyd send a service company to fix the fridge. But my refrigerator only has one-year warranty, so that’s really bad because it breaks down so much.

I like the extra bottom that has that shelf. I could put the pizza box on and thats a great addition for my family. I also like the glass iron on the door. I am enjoying Vikings refrigerator. Its working great and I love it. Plus, I had a very good experience with the dealer.

Ive built a few houses myself and somewhat custom kitchens in them, and Ive known about Viking Ranges for years. I always liked the Viking product and the experience purchasing online was very good. Before I shopped, I went on the website and navigated through it, looking at what features they had and what I was interested in with respect to packages that were available. I bought the package which includes the refrigerator, a range, a dishwasher and an icemaker. After that, I was directed towards where I purchased. The supplier did a very good job of walking me through my options and my rebate options, which was something I hadn’t thought of, and it saved me some good money. Im putting a new kitchen in and the range is not up and running yet, but I have plugged it in. I love the LED lights that are displayed on the front, so that was really cool. I have a Wolfe upstairs in my kitchen and it doesn’t have the features this one has.

The problem that I have is that the ice maker arm doesnt stop the ice tray from overfilling - when you open the door ice falls in the back and the arm drops -making additional ice, this causes the cubes to drop in the back of the freezer. Theres not enough space to remove the fallen ice and it also causes issues closing the door. The refrigerator is very good otherwise. Looks like a built in.

Initially, we had a difficulty with baking, and then the temperature just cut off. It ended up taking an hour and a half to bake one sheet of cookies after it had warmed up for a good 20 and then 40 minutes. It took a long time. Someone came out, and he said nothing was wrong with and it hasnt done it since. But so far, so good.I live in an area that is lower population. We dont have as many service people to service. Initially, I was told I would have to wait a month to a month and a half for someone to come out and look at it. I pleaded with the gal on the phone. “Well, it’s just before Christmas, and I have a four-year old. And were looking forward to baking.” Lo and behold, someone had availability in their schedule. She called me right away and said, “I can get you in right away. Are you available?” I said, “Of course, I am.” I was disappointed in that. I said, “Gosh, if I had any future issues, it would be a bummer to have to wait that long for service.”In addition, I can’t get a pizza pan to go all the way in. Its not the depth of the oven. It just needs to be an inch and a half further in depth, and then a regular pizza pan could fit in. That was shocking to me. We ran into it on the first day of our move. We had the movers here and I thought, “Oh, Ill just pick up pizzas and cook them in the oven.” Because we live a ways out from any pizza place. I had to cut all the pizzas in order for them to fit into the oven, which is a pain in the neck. And then anytime I go to fix a pizza, I cant use the basic pizza pan, which is a bummer. Other than that, Ive enjoyed using the stove top, and the oven has been great since. Ive been happy.

I’ve known about Viking Ranges forever. I felt that it had everything that I needed at the price point that I could afford. I wanted a Wolf because everybody has a Wolf and raves about it. But I thought that it was out of my price range. I wondered where could I get something of equal quality but without all the bells and whistles, which was why I bought a basic Viking range with no electronics, just the straight goods. We dealt with Trail Appliance and liked them very much. The salesman there had the very same Viking range and was really positive about it. They also offered a free set of pots and pans once you bought your Viking range, but I’ve contacted them twice, and nobody has gotten back to me about it. That bothered me. Other than that, we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The ranges quality is excellent. My favorite thing is how hot it could get and how low it could go without disruption.

Our business is residential remodeling. In 2006 we remodeled our home and spent extra money on Viking appliances (double ovens, cooktop and microwave), because of their previous reputation and because clients often look at our kitchen. Weve had issues with each of the Viking appliances, but weve had the most complaints with the ovens from the beginning. They take a long time to heat up and the bottom oven does not heat up as well as the top one. The broil function is ridiculous because there is no prop on the door to leave it slightly open when broiling, so the oven gets too hot and turns off the broiler and my steak doesnt cook properly unless I leave the door completely open to keep the top coil hot. A couple years ago the clock went out on the oven and when we tried to have it repaired we found the part had been discontinued after only 7 years. I havent been able to find an aftermarket part so my self-clean and timed baking are virtually gone. When spending extra for high end appliances, I expect them to function properly and to last and to be able to find parts for them for at least 10-12 years. Ive tried on different occasions to contact Viking, but have gotten nowhere. I know appliances dont last as long as they used to, but to quit providing parts on appliances after 6 or 7 years seems ridiculous in the customer service world. I dont recommend Viking to any of my clients.

I have some problems with the Viking Refrigerator that we got. The unit functions well, but I have problems in the way it is laid out. It seemed very stripped down. The crisper drawer is not divided, it is just one big drawer that is supposed to hold both fruit and vegetables. That was surprising. Fruits and vegetables require different temperatures and different humidities. There wasn’t any delicatessen or cheese drawer too. The fridge is also very high so that the taller shelves were not accessible. I called Viking to find out how I could better accessorize the refrigerator, and there didnt seem to be any answer to that and apparently, for this model, there are no Viking accessories available.

We moved into a brand new home about four weeks ago and I think I was most excited about the Viking range. Wed worked really hard for this house and Id always viewed Viking as top drawer. What a disappointment its been. Since the day we moved in, it hasnt worked and multiple visits by Viking repair people still havent helped. Were about a hot minute from replacing it. The salesperson at our Best Buy who weve come to trust tells us that Thermador is a much better buy. So the morale to the story is buyer beware: go with quality even when it might not have the name quotient.

I knew Viking from the installation in multiple houses from friends but in this particular case, the builder had Viking as the official product to be selected from. We didn’t have an option but to select within Viking products. Its a good brand though and I like their refrigeration products look, that the drawers close softly and that it works. I would recommend them with a caveat of what the person might be looking for exactly. For example, this refrigerator doesn’t have the option to access water or ice from outside the door so it’s just practical issues depending on how you want to use it and what is your preference.

In Memphis, a lot of the really nice and elegant restaurants choose to use Viking products because of their quality and service. I purchased the Viking products from one of their suppliers, Metro Appliances, out at Jonesboro, Arkansas. The salesperson was great to deal with. He was very positive, upbeat and promotional for Viking and all other varieties that they’re carrying. That was a wonderful experience. But upon receiving my brand-new kitchen suite, the refrigerator had to be repaired instead of completely replaced. The doors were out of alignment and will not be fixed and upon the receiving my ice maker, it didn’t work and had to be completely replaced. I have had issues with my refrigerator going out already. I had to wait over a two-week service while all of my food was spoiled. Also, I currently have a problem with my microwave where the screen has gone out. I have already waited a week and a half and have yet to see the first person come and see what the problem is. I’ve made phone calls and chased all of these people around and I get very poor service for a $25,000 kitchen suite, professional series. But that’s the way they choose to run their business and promote their products and services. I would have been better off going with Whirlpool or Maytag.

My sister had a Viking Refrigerator and I also chose them because my LG broke and I wanted a counter depth refrigerator, basically with the luxury of a high-end refrigerator, but not having a built-in. A built-in will run you $10,000 to $12,000, so I thought it was a good idea to go with the name Viking. It really fits my kitchen as well. The price was on point and I didn’t consider anything else because of it. The quality of the refrigerator is good, so far. It seems to keep my food a lot fresher than my LG did. However, the refrigerator door doesn’t stay all the way down in that lift. It also makes ice so fast that when you pull the door open, ice cubes fall out. It’s not a defect and it’s not such a bad thing, but its not perfect. Nevertheless, I like the handle of the refrigerator because it matches our Wolf oven. Im all about the look and I would tell others to definitely go for Viking Refrigerators. I would also tell them that I could actually go to Costco with the comfort of knowing my food is going to last.

Ten years ago, we saw Viking ranges when we did some other kitchen. We had bought a Samsung Dual Fuel and it was a month-old when it broke, so we sent it back. They brought us another one and that one broke too, so we decided not to go to Samsung anymore. We went out to look for a stove and where we had just remodeled our bathroom, they had a kitchen display for all their kitchen wares and were moving showroom, so all their kitchen stuff were on sale. The Viking Range was 50% off. It was $6,000 but we got it for $3,000. We were looking for a stove, so why not? Ive only had it a couple of months, but I like it. However, Im not crazy about how I cant get it to simmer low enough, and the blue light that clicks off and on, so I dont really ever know when the ovens preheated. Theres no bell that dings and says that its ready, so Im constantly looking at that light to see if it has preheated, and I wish there was. Also, I miss my drawer in the bottom where I kept all my cookie sheets and stuff, and the Viking Range doesnt have it. We had to take our microwave out and get a downdraft, and that was a bummer. It wasnt really a Viking dealer who sold it to me. It was a Fergusons Plumbing lady who did. On the other hand, one thing I do like about it real well, is the way the telescopic tray pulls out in the center.

We built a new home and bought a Viking refrigerator floor model through a dealer. I had a built-in before, and I was happy with it, so I went with that particular refrigerator. I like the built-in because it’s not deep and things don’t get lost in the back of the refrigerator. I love my Viking refrigerator, but I’ve had eight or nine service calls on it and the people who came and serviced it have been excellent. When the refrigerator arrived, there was an issue with water coming out of the bottom of the door, and they replaced that, and then it wouldn’t make ice or water, so they changed out a harness, the water pump and the icemaker. It makes ice, but after they put in the new icemaker, the lever stops when the ice fills up, so a part was ordered and the people are coming this week to replace that. The dealer has been absolutely awesome on service and responsiveness and their staff has come out and dealt with every single problem I’ve had. However, I bought an eight-burner gas range through Pacific Kitchen & Home and I would not purchase through them again. When the range was delivered, the door needed adjustment and it’s been a nightmare to get somebody to come out through Pacific Kitchen to service it. I had to reach out to Viking directly to get any kind of service and they’re coming out this week as well. Hopefully, once everything is all in good working order, it’ll be well worth it. I also have a Viking dishwasher, which is fabulous and Im very happy with it.

The rep from the Viking dealership was really helpful. He pulled out the range and showed us the gas line and how it was going to be installed. Viking is supposed to be a really good range as far as reputation, but mine doesnt work. I turn it on, it reaches temp, the fan comes on and then it stops lighting. It just slowly winds down and stops, so a repairman came out and hes going to replace the computer board on it. He seemed like he knew what he was talking about and I expect that everything is going to turn out just fine after he gets that repair done. But first, the board has to come in and then hell call me to reschedule, which should be within two weeks. The elevation burners are pretty cool and they have a constant slow simmer. Im still happy with the range because some things not working could happen sometimes. Im a little more mellow than some people and Im not angry about it. The range came with a two-year full warranty and so far, everything has been covered. Luckily this year, Im having Thanksgiving at my daughters house so I dont need the stove done before that day. Now, if I had family coming in, Id probably be sweating about now and ordering turkeys in from someplace. Im good and I can wait for the perfect oven.

We heard that Viking Ranges was one of the best but my wife and I dont feel that way anymore, and well never buy a Viking again. It was a terrible experience. We bought our range and had it over five years. Something happened to the temperature button so that we could only cook at 350 or above. They came in to fix that button and it was gonna be $1,000 to fix it.When they went to fix the button, they moved the stove and they said that on the bottom theres electronic wires that shorted out the oven when they moved it. The service people said it was a defect on the way they made them and now they make them with some type of insulator that protects the wires from shorting out. But thats not available to our range so we had to purchase another one, and we wound up getting a newer model that has that. But we had spent over $2,000 on the newer model that doesnt have a gauge that people can see the temperature on. We have to put something inside of it to see the temperature. There was also no clock on it. And It was more expensive than ours. Its ridiculous.I could buy something for a quarter of the price that I would be more happy with because weve used Wolf before as a higher-end unit in a lot of our rentals. Weve used much less expensive stuff which weve had for 20 years and we didnt have these kinds of problems. Viking is just a name brand and they probably shop out all their service and have no parts after five years on a unit people purchased. Its unbelievable. I dont know how they got their name but Im sure not from what weve experienced. Its just an oven and it doesnt do anything special. It cooks like everything else is supposed to. Name brands impress people. We could have bought a new oven from somebody else with the money we spent to fix our situation.

I heard of Viking Refrigerators through my friends. Viking has favorable feedback about the appliances and their quality overall. I also like the competitive pricing bundles that they had put a place for this past year-end. They had an aggressive buy two, get one appliance free. And then also, they had a 5% discount rebate built in. It outpaced most of their competitors and at that point of seeing that, it became a no-brainer to buy a Viking. We have an 84 inch by 42 side by side and it works fantastic. The only thing it doesnt have is the water dispenser, but thats not a problem for me. It has been working great so far. Also, my experience with the Viking dealer was great. They did really well and inspected everything out for us and made sure the appliances were gonna fit in terms of measurement, design, and all those basic necessities that I was looking for from a product across the board. I had Viking for 20 years and on our last stove, we never had a problem. But this time, we had nothing but problems. We decided to put in the Viking range when we had a new house built and the first time we used the self-cleaning feature, all the boards were broken. Viking sent people for five months to fix it. They also had to take the range out then they sent in another range. But it was no good, too and the problem with that was you couldn’t bake without the griller coming on. So, we went through the holidays with no stove. And two days ago, they finally had people here to fix that and it’s finally working properly. Other than that, their customer service people couldn’t have been nicer when I dealt with them and they were pleasant to work with. But the problem was the wait time. When we started with the problem with Viking, it was the day after Thanksgiving and it just got resolved two days ago. So, that’s seven months we went without a stove. They didn’t even have people in our area that could come service the thing. In fact, when I first had an issue, I live in upstate New York and they tried to get a guy outta New York City but he wouldn’t come. Then they tried to get a guy outta Utica but he wouldn’t come either. And the clock was ticking, months were going by, and it was like we didn’t have a stove that we spent $15,000 on. They dragged their feet as far as getting us the part or getting somebody here. And the people above the reps I talked to would never follow through. When I asked them to call me and let me know any update, they said they would call me the next day. But two days would pass and I still didnt get a phone call. In the end, they made it right, got a hold of a local company, and spent thousands of dollars worth of parts to fix the stove. Still, for in wife’s perspective, we didn’t buy a refurbished stove. So even though it’s fixed, it’s still not like you get it outta the box. They had somebody come in and put new fans, new controls, and new motherboards, and it’s almost like it’s been refurbished. I’ve worked on a lot of stuff over the years and once you take something apart, it never quite goes back together the same. But Viking honored their warranty. The old stove that we had had a three-year warranty, which was a little disappointing on this stove now on which have a two-year full warranty. Still, the Viking ranges cook beautifully and they have nice features now with the racks that roll out and the ball bearing. One thing about stainless steel, it’s a pain in the butt. But they sent us a product called Thor which really cleans it up nicely. Our Viking range is beautiful stove, well-built, and heavy-duty. But after everything, they didnt even send me something for my inconvenience. Not even a can of cleaner. Viking also told me that the problem is the self-cleaning and that they wouldn’t recommend you really use it. But why are they selling the stove with it? This all started when we used the self-cleaning, which we did when it was new and we were testing everything out. It blew the motherboards out and one thing led to another. All in all, we got a lot of Viking appliances like the dishwasher, refrigerator, hood, and the wine beverage center. We’ve spent a lot of money on their products. But I wasn’t too happy with the stove in the last seven months and I would not buy another Viking stove again. I would neither tell my friends to spend $15,000 on a Viking stove, and have them call me up and say, “Geez, I bought this stove and I’m having the same problems you did.”

I wanted a Viking range for decades, so every time I looked at commercial-type ranges, it was usually either Viking or Wolf. But, Viking has always been the commercial style range that I wanted, but I put it off for years and years because I wanted the double oven size with six burners. Then I realized that to get the one I wanted, it would involve remodeling half of my kitchen to make space for it. So, I finally decided that, instead of putting it off because of that, Im just going to get the 30-inch one, so it would fit into the existing space. And so I did and Im happy. I bought ours at Colders, a furniture store, and I worked with someone who specializes in Viking ranges. It is an authorized dealer.Ive always had electric ranges my whole life. And one of the things that I havent liked in the past about gas ranges is the gas oven. Id prefer an electric oven and a gas stovetop. And now that they make dual-fuel ranges that are the perfect answer for me. Also, I just like the ruggedness of it. The hole that you put the pots on, theyre like army tanks. Theyre big, heavy, iron grates that are just so well-built. And the whole thing is heavy-duty that can last a lifetime. I like the simplicity of it, too. The electric range that I replaced was all digital. It had all kinds of extra digital features that I never used. This one has mechanical knobs, and everything works perfectly. However, the caveat is theyre expensive. So, you really have to be dedicated to cooking. If they were cheaper, I would have bought two. You really have to want that kind of a range before you are willing to spend that much money. Other than that, from the performance and quality of the Viking, it is 5-star all the way. It would be my top recommendation for a commercial range.

I went to Best Buy and they had Viking Ranges on display along with the other brands and I liked it. Its simple. There are no any electric screens which I didnt like. It was all manual like those round switches. Working with the team members was great and they explained everything. Everything we received was in good condition except there was an issue. The thing we put on the top of the burner to hold anything like a big bowl has small rubbers so they wont make noise when they touch the panel and one of them is missing that small rubber. In my opinion they need to lower the price a little bit so we can buy the whole stuff cause right now I only have an oven and the microwave. I was looking to buy a refrigerator and a separate oven plus a washer.

Viking 30 single oven Model VES0130SS - Have had trouble with the door closing since day 1. The inside light stays on when the door does not completely close. The decals are pretty much illegible on the electric oven and gas cooktop. The self cleaner evidently does not function. The inside back fan is very noisy.

We liked what we had heard about Viking then we have a friend that put in a Viking and we liked the setup of it. We got the built-in refrigerator and its not as deep as a regular refrigerator, which we like because things dont get lost in the back of it, but its taller. We like the door, the freezer section in the bottom, and the way that the drawers are self-closing. We can arrange them to where we have a place at the bottom that we can put platters into or a pizza box or whatever we want to. We also like the fact that everything was made out of metal. Aside from the refrigerator, we also got the French door double oven, the six burner cooktop with the griddle and thee optional griddle, the vent hood, two warming drawers, and a microwave, from Viking. We love the quality of our Viking appliances and we would recommend them highly.

The quality of Viking Ranges is excellent. When I called their customer service and asked them, Will your stove do this? Will your range perform this?, they were able to answer my question and point me directly, and they have always been like that. In all the 8 or 9 months I’ve owned the range, I have not had anything outside of that. It has been consistent and direct. I’m very lucky to have had that Viking. It’s a really great piece of equipment and I chose it for its performance. There isnt one thing that I do in there that is subpar. I had a JennAir for 20 years before that so I knew the professional-level range. I was expecting it to be good. I wasn’t expecting it to be great, and it was great. Somebody would say, “Oh my goodness, you paid $10,000 for a range.” I did, but it performs. It does exactly what it says it does. It’s beautiful to look at too. It’s like a work of art. One of the best features of the range is the clean-up because you get cooking, start grilling this, sauteeing this, doing a sauce here and things spill and oil starts flying. And I can have that stovetop and everything wiped down and done in under 10 minutes which is a blessing. The range has to be the easiest range I’ve ever had to clean. I cook a lot in the kitchen. I make everything - my own pastas, my own bread rolls, crackers, soups and soup bases. I do everything on that and I grill. I do pastries and brioches. I do all sorts of stuff in there that everybody says the degree of difficulty is extreme, yet the results on these things are superior in that stove. Dinners and everything are like works of art. It’s like somehow my cooking went from being good to superior, and it’s that range.I also bake pies. As a matter of fact, I just made 12 dozen butter tarts. Never in my whole life have I ever baked a pastry at 325 degrees. It’s always 400 or 425. So, the first time I baked a pie, I’m looking at the Viking book, and theyre saying, 325, X amount of minutes. I thought it was insane. It has to be wrong. So I went to my old habits and baked it at 400. The results were abysmal. It was overbaked on the outside and raw on the inside. I did it again and I did it according to Viking. It was the best I have ever made in my whole life and that was where I then really sat down and started to read everything and anything I could on Viking and how to use this piece of equipment with optimum.I would recommend this range. My only thing is this is a professional-level range so theres a learning curve on it because it performs differently than a 799 General Electric special. This is like buying a Ferrari and thinking you’re driving a Chevy Volt. Theyre totally different things. The shame is that Viking is not out there more. They don’t have a place to really promote it. I looked at them all and I almost went with a Wolf. It was between Wolf and Thermador. What almost got me to go to Wolf was their pizza setting and they have a pizza stone. I sat down and I thought I really wanted that Viking, and I thought back of all the reasons why I wanted it. I had to search to see who was selling it. I couldnt find anybody in Canada. It was Bryan from Middleby Group that helped me.Bryan answered my questions immediately. If he said it, it was done. It was none of this backstepping or trying to fluff over or trying to play me like I was stupid. However, I will never use Corbeil, the company who they shipped it to, again. Their product knowledge and support were poor. Their ability to answer questions, even simple ones, was non-existent. And not only that, when I went into Corbeil and gave them feedback that the Viking Range is superior, the store manager said right to my face, Oh, this is a piece of crap. We won’t even sell these.Because the feedback from Corbeil was so poor, I was really apprehensive and unsure of myself and insecure when I first got Viking. I thought maybe I made the wrong choice but I didnt. It bakes bread to perfection. Pizza, 375 on my pizza stone, is the best. It rivals a pizza oven which my in-laws have. And I can get better results in my Viking than they get in their pizza oven, so you don’t lose anything. On Viking, they have a defrost cycle and a dehydrate cycle which are fabulous. The top burners are also ever fabulous. I wasn’t gonna get the sealed unit. I was gonna get an all-gas unit. Bryan said to me, “But you bake and you do this a lot. Get the dual fuel. You’ll be very happy with it,” and I’m really glad I did. He listened to me and he was able to guide me into making my choice. He knew his product. He was just a joy. He’s VP for all of Canada, and he answered or returned my call. He was so good.I have nothing but great things to say about Viking and I don’t understand why the appliance centers are abysmal. And it’s not just for Viking. It’s for all of them. They don’t know their product and it’s whatever theyre pushing at the time. This is why you get consumers who get the product in their house, and theyre like, “What the heck is this? This is a piece of garbage.” It degrades very quickly. The least little thing is a complaint, is a complaint, is a complaint. And it has nothing to do with these manufacturers but everything to do with those showrooms. I told my husband if I were new to the professional level, I would probably choose a Series 3. That’s a very nice-looking range. Probably 20 years ago, that’s what I wouldve chosen. Today, I’m dying to get into that Series 7. Because we’re thinking of moving in the next year, I’d have to do that Tuscany one. That’s a really beautiful one too. But I’m dying to get into the Series 7, the big honking one. My JennAir from my other home was quite large, but it was cumbersome, and the results were unpredictable. It was also difficult to clean. And I’ve experienced none of that with the Viking. It’s like coming out of purgatory and going into heaven.

I have been using Viking products for a couple years now. However, one of the things that I’m having a problem with, and this is the second kitchen we put in, is it seems like every time I buy Viking, it comes in broken. Last 2012, we did the kitchen and the refrigerator came in and they had no compressor. I told them to take it back, but they wouldn’t take it back. So, I bought a rebuilt. They can fix it, but I tested that and then I was like okay. I supposed it was just bad luck. And then this time, I used it and the refrigerator came in broken again. So, I have a broken refrigerator there with the door that is not working. Then, they got to come back and then the dishwasher got a bulk. As soon as the guy came out, I’m like, “What is wrong with you guys? Every time I get something from you guys, is it just my bad luck or what?” Out of four appliances, two of them broke. That is ridiculous. I also said that we do our kitchen every four years and I’m doing a kitchen down in Florida. That was to start this month and I’m behind and I told him I can’t be bringing in stuff that I know I got a way to get it fixed and I’m not there. I said I can’t do this. Nevertheless, everything else looks good. The Viking dealer was fine.

Purchased top of the line Viking fridge for 10K 3 years ago and about 9 months after purchase the crisper drawers were collapsing down onto the bottom shelf of the refrigerator making about half the fridge unusable. Viking sent out their service company and changed the middle shelf which the crisper drawers hang from and changed the slider brackets. Worked fine for about 3-4 months and then the same thing happened again. Viking came out and changed the parts again with exactly the same type of parts. Worked fine for about 4-5 months and then the drawers started collapsing down again when you would open a drawer. Well this went on for 3 more additional services and I think at about the 3rd or fourth service Viking said the fridge was out of warranty! LOL!I informed them that you cant replace defective parts with the same exact defective parts until the warranty runs out and then say the fridge is out of warranty. So they sent a repair company back out who charged me $149.00 to look at the crisper drawers laying at the bottom of the fridge and said yep theyre broke and left. Then they sent a different service company out and they changed the parts again and again it failed after several months. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and I rigged a plastic spacer and thick brass washer behind the middle shelf to kind of wedge the crisper drawers in place. That has held up but was only suppose to be a temporary fix until Viking came up with a permanent solution. Kim from Middlebery that owns the Viking brand said they are working on it, that was back in February and now its radio silence 3 months later. Kim asked me at that time do I want them to come out and fix the shelf till the engineers come up with a solution. I said no my Rig is working so far and no sense having Viking come out and waste both our time and money installing more defective parts. Well no good deed goes unpunished cause it looks like Im stuck with my fancy refrigerator being rigged up so that its functional. And oh by the way the crisper drawers are now all cracked and the sliders broken from falling down so many times. This is frustrating, embarrassing and not right, to spend ten thousand dollars on whats suppose to be a superior brand and have it fall apart and get no company support! Our KitchenAid fridge lasted 20 years and we could have bought the exact replacement for 2 k less! But we wanted to upgrade but instead got a tremendous downgrade. If you want a built in stick with Sub Zero. Thats why my son in law Vince The Builder only uses Sub Zero in his multi multi million dollar homes he builds. He will soon be doing a video of my fridge for his 200K instagram followers to show his clients why he wont use Viking appliances. I hope this saves the next person from going thru the same ordeal as me.

I had my stove about 10 years...broiler burner doesnt turn on, could not control flame in front left burner - it flamed out. Viking said I should replace valve, about $100 - that didnt work. Then they said it was an outdated stove for parts. I removed orig. valve and cleaned it with brake cleaner spray - works perfect. Cost? $3.00. Broiler still doesnt work. I had a frustrating and disappointing experience with Viking Ranges. I chose it because of the style and cost but the range I received was horrible. The first time I used it, I turned on the burners and then I turned on the oven. Underneath the burner, it exploded into a flame so I got a fire extinguisher and put it out. I called Viking and they sent out a repairman. He looked at it and he said that the range was a total loss so they arranged to have it replaced. When they came out to replace it, they arranged the time with me.The night before the agreed time, they called me on a robocall and told me a different time. So I called them back and I said, Ive already arranged to meet at the time we agreed. They called back and said, No, we cant do that. They said that the only way I can arrange the time is to wait til 24 hours before theyll tell me when the time would be. Thats hard to do if youre working so that was a hassle. So I said, I dont know what to do because I cant meet that time you want cause Ive already arranged with my work to be the other time, which we already agreed to, well, I already made the appointment. That was a week earlier and they said at that time it was fine to have the time that we arranged. So I did, then they said they didnt have another day when they could tell me when they could come back. They called me an hour later and said, Okay, we can meet your original time. They came and replaced my range.Viking’s customer service reps were fine but their service people were a hassle because of the scheduling. The actual service man who came out was fine. What happened was very dangerous. The repairman even said that if I turned on the oven first, let it go for a long time and then turn the burner on, there could have been an explosion. But I had the burner on first and then I turned the oven on so all it did was catch fire underneath the burner. My Viking Range works fine now. Its just that I got a really bad Viking Range in the beginning.

Vikings reputation precedes itself as far as the quality of the product. When we bought our house, our builder provided Viking appliances like the dishwasher, a super range, and a refrigerator. I love the range. I also love everything about the refrigerator except the fact that it doesnt dispense water. The appliance company did the installation has been great with us. Weve just had a couple of minor issues with stuff that there was some damage done on a couple of items during the installation and it had nothing to do with the quality products that were provided.

Its wide so its easy access in and out. I like the different drawers and the accessibility to the refrigeration part. Plus, you can adjust the temperature and humidity. The wide shelf space also makes it very convenient. Overall, it’s been easy, manageable, and it sits perfectly in our kitchen.

It is unfortunate that I have to write this on a brand such as VIKING since I have had nothing but troubles on the 48 range and the big side by side refrigerator. Over the years we had several problems including the refrigerator door that fell off and almost hurt my wife had it not been for the kitchen island that stopped the fall on her. Thankfully Viking replaced the door but it shouldnt have happened. Now the range, right from the beginning we had issues with the right sided burners and grill not working, the oven that always made a hissing sound every so often when in use which we didnt know was a faulty burner and fire spreader plate. On 4 occasions we had the Fire department coming to our house because of Carbon-monoxide leak from the oven that triggered the alarm which, thankfully, is hooked to the Fire Dept. The latest being this Thanksgiving Day while the oven was in use. When discussing this with Viking customer service, the answer we got was that upper management couldnt help and suggested a repair service company. The service company stated that this is not an isolated issue but common with VIKING. The parts alone is quoted at over $1200.00 plus labor. If anyone is thinking of buying a VIKING product - think twice before you spend the tens of thousands for this poor quality brand like we did several years ago. Shame on you VIKING.

But unfortunately, even in the short time that I had it, we had problems with the oven and refrigerator. And the more I talked to people about it, the reputation has really turned bad like Viking is pretty poorly made now. Knowing what I know now, I would never buy a Viking again unless I hear that theyve really improved their quality. However, I like the refrigerators Dutch doors where its open on each side. Their team also had good follow up on the service I needed.

Bought a Viking that never ran properly, parts broke, mother board changed 3 times. Company agreed to replace but we had to pay up half the value. Then the replacement broke down, mother board, in less than 9 months and finally got replaced again. 2 months into owning it broke down!!! We are told no mother boards out there to replace with - back ordered. So we bought a defective Viking at full price the first time then had it replaced and paid another $5000+ so now our investment total about 16,000$ plus time spent away from work for repair guys to come and fix numerous times per year plus horrible costumer service. One repair company purported to order a part and we paid for it and never got it. They disappeared. Worst product ever!!!! DO NOT BUY A VIKING FRIDGE! It is unconscionable for Viking to still be selling fridges at these price points.

Im happy with my Viking refrigerator and I like the size of the refrigerator compartment. On the other hand, I noticed the dirt pan underneath overflowed, at least, once. When I went to pull it out to just empty it, I couldnt remove it and I cant reach into the assembly area down there to remove the proper screws to be able to remove the whole dirt pan. Its a little concerning because I have already had water on the floor once from the unit and I certainly would want to be able to prevent it from happening again. Also, itd be nice if they had a water filtration system in it so you could get drinking water out of it or like a spigot to get your drinking water. That would have been a really nice feature to have included.

I bought my home 2 1/2 yrs ago with a really beautiful kitchen. All appliances are Viking and the agent kept telling me they are the best products on the market. We have the two drawer pull out dishwashers. From the time we bought the house they do not clean anything properly. I have had technicians out various times, some telling us that cascade powder doesnt work and we must use gel capsules. Even if we wash the dishes thoroughly before they dont come out clean. I need them to work as they match everything in my kitchen. My viking microwave also doesnt work properly so I just use it to reheat. This house was remodelled around 5 yrs ago and from the time we moved in it was terrible. Who needs to clean dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher to find them still marked when you take them out. My daughter has the same crockery set and has a cheap dishwasher and hers come out spotless. Please someone help me as I need everything to match in my kitchen. Viking service are a waste of time and money. Thanks.

We special ordered our Viking range in white on May 13, 2017 and were told it would be 6-8 weeks for delivery. Our range was delivered August 5th with no explanation of the delay. When our range was removed from its pallet and packing material removed, we discovered the door and lower cover panel were both dented. Our selling dealer quickly noted the damage, but installed the range with the promise to have both pieces replaced. It is now November 10th and we are finally scheduled to have the damaged pieces replaced on 11/18. We are patient people, but the delay in the original delivery date and the long wait for replacement parts seems unreasonable. No reason was ever given for either delay and that makes our experience with Viking only satisfactory. We were fortunate that the operation of our range was not compromised and have been using it since delivery in August. It performs flawlessly and does meet our cooking needs. However, the center burner doesnt seem to work correctly (it never goes to high) but we are hopeful that when the service tech comes to replace the dented pieces, he/she can make a simple adjustment. My husband and I do wish that there was direct communication from Viking beginning at the original order date. To date, we have never heard directly from Viking until this. Knowing the status of our order would have been much appreciated, given the substantial cost of our Viking.

A model that is cabinet facing, only ice making, no water, unfiltered water in the fridge is hard to find. Only two companies had the configurations I wanted for my refrigerator and Viking was one of them. The refrigerator is fine and I like it. I love the amount of room I have without the water component which was very difficult to find in other refrigerators. But Im having problems with the trim kit. Either its not installed right or its just not a good product. Its been months and I havent gotten the new trim kit to see if the issue was in the installation. We chose Viking over GE because of the trim kit, but thats where were having trouble with and the design may not be so great. The logistics company delivered my Viking refrigerator to my house and dropped it off in my living room. They pushed it into the wall because its one of those built-in wall units. They didnt connect it or they connected it but it wasnt right. There was this bottom metal piece that was supposed to be installed. I asked the guys if they were supposed to do that. They said they were not allowed to install those for liability purposes. I would have to get somebody to do it. It cost me almost $500 to have a Viking specialist come out and install it.When the specialists came out, they said, “Your refrigerator’s not even drilled to the wall. Because if its not, what can happen is if you open the door, the whole thing could tip over and could crush you.” The guy said they were gonna secure it, which they did. That was a pain, to begin with. The refrigerator side works fine. But we noticed that the icemaker was really slow from day one. We went back and forth with the Viking warranty people and Build.com where I purchased the refrigerator from. They sent somebody out to fix it four times. After the last time, it still wasnt working right. It never would produce over 20 ice cubes. Every time they would come out, they would tell me to give it 24 to 48 hours and I would have a big bin full of ice cubes. That never happened. We had family over and birthday parties. I had to go to 7-Eleven and grab a bag of ice and stick it in my freezer. After paying $15,000, that doesnt make me happy.Build.com replaced the ice maker and its still not working right. They apologized and they went ahead and ordered me a new refrigerator. But that refrigerator is not going to arrive until April 2022 so Im stuck with this thing. It’s beautiful but it doesn’t make ice and the motor is really loud. I could have bought a car for that price I paid for the refrigerator so I want it to work 100%. Viking has been around for many years and they have beautiful products. After I placed the order with them versus Wolf, I happened to go online and I did some research and there are actually lots of really bad reviews. Viking is the least recommended. I buy design magazines and Ive always liked Viking. I liked its look and the efficiency, and Ive always thought Viking lasts longer so I definitely had the idea in my mind that it was a step above Thermador. I bought it four months ago but I bought it in Kentucky and I live in Utah, so it was in transit. I just registered it and Ive had it for more than a month. I bought it mainly for exterior and the tray storage feature that could store big platters and cakes. But I ended up liking the LED feature on the inside without knowing I picked it for that. I was surprised how cool the LED lights were. When the fridge was put in initially, the circuit board had a little wire popped out and it wasn’t turning on. I thought it was going to be a big fix. The compressor worked but it wasn’t getting cold and I sent the crew away without final install because I had my house under construction back then. A man came out to repair the fridge and now its all good. Everything has been great.

I have been to quite a few places and then I came across the range. I did a little research online and found that the product is reputable and reliable and thats when I decided on Viking. I selected the model and then I went through my home builder. They bought it and put it in for me. Then one of the sparkle was not lighting up. The people came out right the next day and had it fixed in a jiffy so it was great. The quality is excellent. I love it. I like that the power outlet is able to get my pan really hot quickly.

Im very happy with Viking products. I consider them very good and very well-built. Its very reliable. I had the previous Viking range for eight years and there were no problems at all. Its a very good brand thats why I wanted to have it. However, the process of this particular case of me getting this range on a deal (I found a great deal of a new unpacked range for almost half the price) and the things that followed werent great. I got the range, brought it home, installed it then there were some problems which I reported in my communication with the company. It was quite lengthy to get the proper technician to come and look at it. Theres a whole process that I experienced talking to the company and the company has another company hired for public relations. I got an email from that second company that the issues were being looked at. Then the same second company recommended the local tech but I wasnt happy with the tech that worked initially. The local company that was hired to look at the things that are not functioning reported something that wasnt complete. So, I had to recall the technician and another technician came. They ordered the parts that were malfunctioning and they installed it. The second tech finally solved it but it was about two months of smelling gas and its been quite stressful. The process could be something more straightforward like you talk to the company and get a response from the company. There are no middlemen and no broken chain of relaying the problems that are reported.

Constant repair of Viking vgic365-6bss range. One thing you can count on around the holidays is to work on this piece of ** range. I was sold on the idea of handing this down to generations to come. I would not wish this piece of ** to any of my children. Shop around and read reviews. Regrettable.

My experience has been horrible. I planned and did everything right. I wanted to make sure I researched. I wanted to support the country too. What I was thinking was either Miele or Viking. Miele was made by Germany while Viking was made in the US. Ive built my house and everything we use is made in the USA. Pacific Sales told me to go with a Viking. I asked how was their service and they said everything is perfect. When we called them, they said it would take longer. It was about closer to Thanksgiving time. They said it takes about eight weeks to build it. Somehow, somewhere, somebody called me one day and said they had one Viking unit sitting in the warehouse. I asked if it was a return unit and the guy said no. They brought it to the house and installed it. After a couple of months, we smelled gas. I called the gas company and they detected the whole house and found out it was the unit which was leaking the gas so they shut it off. When you turn the oven on, youll hear a tick, tick, tick but it will not ignite. Then it will fill up the whole house with gas smell. When I called the service company, I told them, “The gas company canceled my gas. Can you send somebody so they can fix it? The lady said, Oh, we have until next week. When we told the gas company we smelled gas, they showed up within an hour because it was urgent. The guy opened the whole unit and found out that the end of the gas igniter and all the electrical were exposed. It was sparking at the back of it instead of the front. He said it could cause an explosion so he unhooked it and said I could not use it until they replaced it. They came over and changed it but again, it started the other side. At that moment, I called Pacific Sales. I told them I bought this thing for safety. I have young children. It made me uncomfortable to use this unit. I didnt want it anymore. If they could replace it, that would be great. I didnt wanna keep calling somebody. What I found out was that the best interest of the companies that they use for repairs is to come back because every time they come back, theyre charging Viking service fee. Theyre the one who can make the decision whether things could be repaired or whether things could be exchanged and they always say it will not be exchanged it but it will be repaired. They came back again and this time, the grill was not fitting. The guy bent the pipe. I said, Isnt this pipe engineered and shouldnt have bent like the way youve done? He said it was okay. Theyre supposed to quality check before they ship it. It should have been tested if it closed perfectly. So I called called Pacific Sale back. They kept giving me the runaround. The other day, I called them and said, Every time you do it, the same thing keeps going. Im tired of somebody coming to my house and doing this thing.” They said they were not gonna change. They were gonna send another third party company to look at it if I wanted that but they were not gonna replace it. The griller doesnt work. You turn it on and wait. One day it works, one day it doesnt. They said somebody will contact me within 24 to 48 hours but they never contacted me. The other day, I told the lady, You know me. I talked to you many times, right? She said, Yeah, yeah, Mr. **. I talked to you. Now, I actually have a report for you. My boss told me no, were not gonna do it. I asked if he could call call me but she told me he doesnt call. Im discussing with my attorney what are my options are. Its not right. My familys safety is important. I regret it ever buying this unit. I wish I never dealt with them. I spent closer to $60,000 for that purchase. Viking hood and Viking range are the two things I bought. The rest of it was Sub-Zero and Miele and I have no issue with those equipment.

I wont go into detail about the problems with the 2012 range, suffice to say Viking replaced it with a new model, 2017. This induction range is a dream. I love it. The oven preheats silently in less than 10 minutes, it holds a even temperature. The cooktop burners are responsive and they all work! No loud humming. The new range seems like an ongoing miracle in my kitchen. So happy with all aspects of it... and it is beautiful!

My Viking refrigerator was provided by the builders and has been looking okay so far. I’ve been using it only a couple of months now. However, I do not necessarily like the design of the fridge. It doesnt have a water dispenser. I had expected a refrigerator with water dispenser, but apparently, Viking doesn’t make those anymore. I also would like to have a doorstop. The way the refrigerator is installed, it is very close to the oven handle, and if I open it down there, it hits the refrigerator door and puts a dent. So, I have to be careful. If it could have a doorstop that I could adjust and limit the opening of the door, that would help.

My sister has a Viking range and Ive cooked on it. For the quality that I know of a Viking, I got myself one, too. I went to PC Richard and they were great to the point where I also got a Viking microwave and a wine fridge. I love pretty much everything about my range including its look and the evenness of the burners. Its easy to dictate the temperature. The oven is also easy to use. Everything so far is good.

The house that we purchased already had a Viking Range and so, we wanted to continue using Viking. So far, were not impressed with the refrigerator. Weve used Samsung more than anything else before and weve never had so many issues come up as we have with this $15,000 fridge. For one, Viking doesnt have a great after purchase service. When they delivered the fridge, there was something wrong with it. The whole process took about two months for them to come and exchange the fridge. And then this year, weve had issues with the freezer, where a portion of it doesnt seem to be working. Weve been back and forth with them trying to find some service provider in the vicinity. Only after two months and a lot of follow up did they finally have someone coming in to check and see whats going on. As to how long it would take them to actually fix it, Im not even sure. The thing is, they have a third party that deals with these things, so its not really the Viking dealer. Its just a number on the brochure. You call them and they send you off to some independent company that they have in your area, and theyre the ones that are supposed to come and take care of it. As a result, it keeps ping-ponging back and forth. Besides that, the fridge looks sleek and its nice to look at. Its wide and its spacious. I definitely dont have issues with storing anything. I like that the shelves are wide and tall. So in terms of space and cooling issues in the refrigerator, we havent had an issue. Although, our ice cubes have been melting since summer. But still, when things get out of hand, theyre gonna have a third party, not necessarily a Viking technician coming and dealing with your issues and theres a lot of bureaucracy and telephone calls involved in the middle that waste our time as a consumer. And when you spend so much money on a refrigerator, you sort of dont expect this. You want things to go smoothly. And it all goes back to how great that service provider is, which from my initial experience, theyre not great. We even had an issue finding the refrigerator in the beginning. We had to go to another city and order it. So, if I were to recommend Viking to somebody else, I would say make sure that if its not that easy to procure the item from the beginning, maybe it wont be that easy to get service after the purchase.

About 6 years ago, we completely remodeled our mix and match kitchen to all Viking products. We had a range (6 burners), hood, dishwasher, built-in fridge, microwave and warming drawer. We have recently moved and want to update our new kitchen with Viking as well. Im researching product to see the reviews on their newer models. I really am shocked at all the negative comments. I just thought with all the negativity out there, I would jump in to say I have really enjoyed my beautiful kitchen for 6 years. I am very anxious to outfit my new home with Viking! Our family and friends spend a lot of time in the kitchen and it has yet to let me down.
