We are building a brand new house, so we went to the appliance store and they showed us all kinds of different options. I knew I wanted the 36-inch or I want it bigger and I want the more commercial-like because I like to cook and I like to bake. The Viking range is what the sales guy had and he showed us. We were interested in the dual because I know an oven is nicer to have electric for baking and stuff like that and the gas for the top. Its very nice. But weve had problems right from the get-go. We love the top, but the oven part is where we having all the issues. The installer noticed an issue with the fan being super loud whenever we run it on convection. He started the claim for us. The installer worked with the store that we bought the range from and was gonna have them come out and take a look at it. Weve had the guy out here twice and we still dont have it fixed. The guy said he was gonna order some parts and he would be back out. He came back out and he said it was not the right thing. He went back and we havent heard from him since.Weve had it since October so the known problems have been since then and we cant get anybody to fix it. We cant even get them now to return our calls. My husband tried to reach out to him a couple of times and havent gotten a callback. The range seems to run really hot. I keep burning stuff in it and Im kinda irritated. But the top is fine and we love the griddle. Other than the oven issue, everything works really great.

Ive had my Viking range since June 2019. I had a previous high-end oven that came with the house that I bought, and when that oven was no longer able to be repaired under the warranty, I had grown accustomed to its features, and I wanted another one. And there are only a handful of high-end brands that has the same features, a Viking being one of them. I went with it being the lower maintenance and lower complexity quality brand. And I liked the style and the look of it. I don’t quite know if I’m gonna get the value out of what I paid for because they threw in a promotional free Viking dishwasher that we replaced my older, reliable dishwasher with, and it had nothing but problems, to which finally, it seems to have gotten fixed. And that has turned me off of the brand because I wondered, if the dishwasher had so many issues and seems cheaply-made, what’s the Viking brand for the range going to do down the road? My overall feeling is that I have enormous trepidation about spending the money that I did, and how long this unit is actually going to last without it costing me tons and tons of money out of out-of-pocket repairs once the warranty expires. But then again, maybe that’s their business model. Maybe that’s why I got this broken dishwasher so that I have to keep repairing it and spending money years down the road. That’s my mental state that I’m in on the Viking brand right now. And there’s really not much I can do about it at this point. So, I have to hope for the best. The other issue that I have is that there has been a concerning, unexpected behavior with the range where, sometimes, my wife or I will turn it on and set it to bake and to preheat, and we’ll come back to it 20 minutes later, and it has set itself onto the clean cycle and hasn’t heated up or anything. I actually ruined a couple of bread loaves that I was looking to throw onto the oven at that time and I couldn’t. And I had to switch it off, then on and then off. So now, I have to call the egregious Viking customer service and tell them that I have a problem although I can’t be sure. And it’s time and energy that I have to spend doing that, it’s rearranging my schedule for a repair crew. I wanted a product that works, and I’m not entirely sure I have a product that works well. I’m highly skeptical and feeling trepidatious about it. I have limited confidence that it’s going to continue to function like a new $11,000 range should for longer than a year or two. I’m living in the fear of I don’t really know what to expect outta this thing, and I don’t really know if you guys are gonna support me in my time of need for the amount of money that I paid.

Weve been using Viking appliances for eight months and so far they have been okay. However, the oven was not working properly, which was a little disappointing given that it was brand new. We had it fixed and the guy who came out was good. I didn’t realize the appliances were registered, so when I needed someone to come out quickly to service the oven and I did the registration online, I needed to wait because the people that needed to accept the registration were gone for the day. It was a little disappointing that there wasn’t an automated process or extended hours because appliances are important and if they don’t work, its hard to wait.

Please dont waste money on any Viking products! I have had two dishwashers in the past 10 years that fall apart and no longer work. I also have Viking fridge. The drawers broke, builds ice in the bottom of the freezer every few weeks that you have to hammer away to get the door to shut, and have replaced the ice maker twice which no longer works again! I buy bagged ice to fill my ice maker. Viking products stink.

Installed Viking appliances in our brand new home and it didnt take long for problems to start. The dishwasher model #VD8200SS started leaking and not drying after the first wash. I had the unit serviced twice to finally find out the entire soap dispenser piece needed to be replaced. The unit stopped leaking, but still wont dry. The serviceman was dumbfounded. The unit began smelling and stopped working all together. The service discovered it needed a brand new drain pump. Drain pump installed and turns on, but it still smells and the washer still refuses to dry anything. Double oven model #VED01302TSS now makes humming noise while the unit is off. The serviceman went back out to the house and said it needs a transformer and advised me Viking ovens are pretty much a joke and suggested to not use the self-clean function. He said it only greases up the inside wires and gadgets, and is very expensive to replace after the warranty expires. Out of the 7 Viking appliances I currently have, the stove top and toaster are probably the only two which didnt see a lot of problems with. Dishwashers, stoves, fridge, beverage centers and microwaves - forget it. Viking is simply overpriced and a total joke. Viking, you can pretty much stick it. Ill never buy another Viking product and Ill pass along my experiences with Viking every chance I get. Dont buy this crap!

My other fridge was problematic. It gave me a lot of other problems and it was gonna cost me $4,000 to fix it so it wasn’t worth it. I ended up buying a new one. The quality is okay. We had some issues with the door last week. It wouldn’t close. I don’t know the problem and it is brand-new. I had to call the people that Viking worked with. They were very good, on time, and they fixed it right away.

I have been using Viking products for a couple years now. However, one of the things that I’m having a problem with, and this is the second kitchen we put in, is it seems like every time I buy Viking, it comes in broken. Last 2012, we did the kitchen and the refrigerator came in and they had no compressor. I told them to take it back, but they wouldn’t take it back. So, I bought a rebuilt. They can fix it, but I tested that and then I was like okay. I supposed it was just bad luck. And then this time, I used it and the refrigerator came in broken again. So, I have a broken refrigerator there with the door that is not working. Then, they got to come back and then the dishwasher got a bulk. As soon as the guy came out, I’m like, “What is wrong with you guys? Every time I get something from you guys, is it just my bad luck or what?” Out of four appliances, two of them broke. That is ridiculous. I also said that we do our kitchen every four years and I’m doing a kitchen down in Florida. That was to start this month and I’m behind and I told him I can’t be bringing in stuff that I know I got a way to get it fixed and I’m not there. I said I can’t do this. Nevertheless, everything else looks good. The Viking dealer was fine.

My husband did some research on the ranges and he said that Viking was rated high. We had a wonderful experience with their dealer, and we got a refrigerator, a microwave, a dishwasher and the hood and the oven. The appliances are of good quality, but weve had a couple of issues with the microwave door as well as the hinges on the oven, which we had to have replaced and has already been handled.

In the past 9 years we have experienced 4 ice make repairs/replacements, a refrigerator door recall, and a motherboard replacement in our Viking Built-in bottom refrigerator. Now it is making this loud humming noise. The repairman said it is the fan drying up the moisture and there is nothing to be done about it. It is so loud that people think a car alarm is going off. I say, No, its just my refrigerator. We just keep purchasing extended warranties. Oh, did I mention that the motherboard of my electric oven went out just before the holidays, and the microwave had to be replaced after 5 year. I want a new refrigerator but my kitchen is all Viking and I refuse to buy another Viking product.

The builder chose Viking for all our home appliances. Im very happy with the quality of their appliances. Although, Viking was giving us the regular refrigerator without the ice dispensing part in front so I requested for a switch. I like the refrigerators ice part and that the vegetables and fruit trays allow me to check the moisture control - this feature allows the food to stay fresh longer. We had to change the filter once and my husband had spoken to somebody at Viking to find out what filter was required. We ordered the filters through Viking and had been replacing it since then.

Our builder put Viking range, dishwasher, and refrigerator in our home. The range is great but I already had to replace the motherboard on the refrigerator within six months. The seal around the freezer chipped because the availability of getting a motherboard took an extra number of weeks. The appliance company sent somebody out and said we needed a motherboard. They tried to communicate with Viking but they werent successful. So we ended up calling Viking and then we rescheduled the guy to come out to put it in. I wondered about that a little bit and I wasnt happy with that at all. I wish they were a little more customer service oriented. If Im gonna recommend Viking, then it will be something based on my experience with them and not how I like their range. My little experience with the refirgerator has clouded my perception and I would not choose Viking if I had to replace an appliance.

Also, the oven is wonderful. It bakes perfectly and I love the high output burners.

We have a condo here and we went to Ferguson, one of these retail stores, to look at the appliances. We liked Viking, so we bought it all from them. They looked elegant and efficient, and I liked the overall design and workmanship. When the bottom line of the refrigerator was making a noise in the back, the guy came over and fixed it. There was no problem, and it took him one minute. Then, another problem we had was that we were making too much ice. We took it out and all of a sudden, we were not making ice anymore. So, we did everything. What happened was that the ice must have frozen in the line. The guy then took it out and fixed that aspect of it, too. Now, everything is fine. It works like a charm and so we like it. It has got everything else in there. We like the Viking electric range too. It is excellent.

I bought a $8,500 Viking Refrigerator in late 2004. When I started having problems in 2017, I called the only appliance repair in Fredericksburg, VA for Viking. They arrived and charged $90 and told me to plug the fridge in after it defrosted. The repairman had taken out the basket and freezer door and took the screws with him. When I called them, they sent me an estimate for $1500. I asked them why $1500 estimate when they didnt run the diagnostics? They said that was the worst case scenario. We replaced our previous Viking Refrigerator, with model VC5B5483. The unit continues to give us problems, just as the previous Viking did. The freezer side continually has frost issues, and 3 times since we purchased, the temperature spikes high and we have to discard hundreds of dollars of frozen items. We have no confidence in this Viking and have Viking in the entire kitchen including: range, range top, compactor, dishwasher. We spent another $10K on this Viking and expect it be fixed or replaced. We could have gone with Sub Zero, but stuck with Viking, as we like the look. Hopefully this can be resolved, quickly. Thank you.

We bought this range 10 years ago, brand new for $6000. We have had it repaired by Viking authorized dealers 4 times over the years for $500 each time. All problems were electric failures. I wrote to Viking the first time it broke, (on Thanksgiving no less), after owning it for 18 months, and they never responded. They have poor customer service and do not stand behind what they sell. Our range has broken again and were done with it. Well be selling it on offer up. I would advise never buying a Viking product.

We bought two dishwashers at the same time and the rep was really great. We just went back and bought our range from them. The refrigeration is good. Im not crazy about the drawer layout but it was the only one they had. The drawers aren’t deep enough for the vegetables and the fruits. They don’t have a lot of bottles to choose from. Also, they should have a water dispenser. Theyre not practically designed. But I don’t have to clean the coils and when you have four cats, it makes a difference that you don’t have to vacuum all those cat hair.

We purchased a Series 3, 30, gas, self-cleaning range. I installed it about 3 months ago. The first thing I noticed was that the way it was attached to the pallet, caused the unit to slide forward on the pallet. The plant installed an oak rail in the top center of the pallet. The front end of this rail dented the stainless steel front skirt. Its not a bad bend but you will notice that it is no longer straight. Recently after cooking many dinners on it, you cant get a really low flame for simmering on any burner. I never had this problem with my low-end GE.I also have noticed that on occasion the back small burner will not light, and must be tried several times. The most disturbing issue is when any top burner is on, low or medium, and you open the oven door, the flame on the burner want to go out, or does go out then re-lights itself. Not good! Also after cooking on the top stove area, any drops of water that might splash out of a pot, cannot be allowed to dry, next to a hot burner, or a permanent awful looking mark will mar the cooktop. It is not removable. All of these problems should not be attached to a $5000 range.

My Viking stove was purchased in 2001. We have had issues with it ever since. My stove has a double oven, both of which have required several repairs. The self cleaning on each oven has broken twice, and the heating elements constantly burn out. Both heating elements are now burned out, and I have been without a working oven for four weeks. Of course the heating elements have been on back order all this time, and nobody, including Viking, has a clue as to when these heating elements will be back in stock. Its probably fair to assume that if these items are currently on back order, then many Viking customers are having the same issue with their stove as I am. Each time I call for repair, its a minimum of $350. What a waste of money, this purchase has been for me. The Viking Corporation is an absolute mess, and I continue to tell anyone who is willing to listen, my sad, but very true story. Never again, will I purchase a Viking.

Viking 6-burner Gas Range - Viking authorized repairman has been out twice
Viking 6-burner Gas Range - Viking authorized repairman has been out twice for my 6-year-old Viking, each time to replace all ignitors and the seal around the door glass. This is extremely expensive and unbelievable that a commercial range cannot take a daily 20-minute usage of the broiler without wearing out in 3 years time. The excuse I was given was that most people dont broil and their stoves last much longer; and that they mostly go out to dinner. What kind of bologna is this? I wouldnt mind repairing it every 3 years because it really does cook food very well when it is working, but the last time I had it repaired, which was a week ago, it cost me about $800 and I expect it will be even higher in the next 3 years! Isnt there a way for all of us to do a class action lawsuit against Viking? Please let me know if this is in the works because there are so many of us with the same story.

Viking was having a deal where if you buy three of the main appliances, there would be a discount so I bought their refrigerator. It has a little space on the bottom that can fit a whole pizza box and I like that. It also has a wide freezer that has a lot of storage space in the separate freezer. But the unit has been with me for less than two years and it already needed repair. There was an electronic component on the defroster that went out. It was still under warranty, so I went back to the appliance store and got the name of the person that they recommended. I had to go online and make sure they had the warranty information and had to schedule a repair. Then they had to order the parts and the repairman had to come back a second time to install them. Aside from that, every one of the plastic drawers that pull out has hairline cracks. I talked to them about getting those replaced and Viking told me that since its a cosmetic issue, its not covered by the warranty. Also, when we were doing the repair and were taking out the glass shelving, the glue on the bracket that attached it to the glass came off. Its not a big deal because it sits on the glass, but it’s another example of why I dont see the unit as high-quality, like how the repair and appliance people described it. I also bought a Viking range and it works well but the preheat cycle takes a long time. I wish that there was more versatility and I would do away with the grill and just have a griddle that was two chambers wide. I was also disappointed that it doesn’t have a clock or automatic cut. So I feel that for what I paid for, I got a very low-tech item.

It was delayed a week or two weeks to get it hooked up.We have used it for months now and its been great. Its easier to clean. It looks nice to me. I like the new knobs and that they have a little light that lights that up. Thats a nice feature. Its nice to have a beautiful, clean oven, and its gas. We special ordered our Viking range in white on May 13, 2017 and were told it would be 6-8 weeks for delivery. Our range was delivered August 5th with no explanation of the delay. When our range was removed from its pallet and packing material removed, we discovered the door and lower cover panel were both dented. Our selling dealer quickly noted the damage, but installed the range with the promise to have both pieces replaced. It is now November 10th and we are finally scheduled to have the damaged pieces replaced on 11/18. We are patient people, but the delay in the original delivery date and the long wait for replacement parts seems unreasonable. No reason was ever given for either delay and that makes our experience with Viking only satisfactory. We were fortunate that the operation of our range was not compromised and have been using it since delivery in August. It performs flawlessly and does meet our cooking needs. However, the center burner doesnt seem to work correctly (it never goes to high) but we are hopeful that when the service tech comes to replace the dented pieces, he/she can make a simple adjustment. My husband and I do wish that there was direct communication from Viking beginning at the original order date. To date, we have never heard directly from Viking until this. Knowing the status of our order would have been much appreciated, given the substantial cost of our Viking.

In our kitchen, we have a Viking cooktop and a Viking dishwasher. So, when we moved into this house, we decided to go with Viking to complete the set and for the quality. I purchased a Viking Series 5 built-in refrigerator through Best Buy. It was delivered and installed, and it was working fine for about two days. Then, one of the hinges seemed to have broken on the door. I went back to Best Buy and told them about it. They said they would order a new one and have it delivered, take the old one and send it back. This was about six weeks ago and the new one was supposed to show up yesterday. I got a phone call in the morning saying that it was not gonna show up. Its been quite frustrating to call me the day its supposed to arrive and tell me that it was not gonna come. They scheduled a day that it might come which is for August 28th but I got three different emails, which all say 28th, 29th, and 31st. So, I dont know what day its actually coming at this point.Originally, I thought it was only gonna be five weeks. So, they offered for me to purchase a substitute refrigerator until the other one came in and I could return the substitute at a later time. If it was gonna be another five weeks, we can live with it but the door thing has been getting progressively worse to the point where Im the only one in the house that can shut it. Its a 48-inch refrigerator, so its a heavy door. You can lift the door up to get it to shut and it seals once its shut. Also, to add insult to injury, when you pull the door down of the Viking dishwasher, theres a rubbing noise and you have to sort of push it a little. So, Ive been trying to call the appliance vendor that we got that through, but I cant get a call back from them. When Viking works, it’s great. But when there’s an issue, it can’t get resolved. And Best Buy is throwing Viking under the bus saying that they were the ones who didnt deliver it.

My wife first heard of Viking Refrigerators, and we went with them for the price of the unit, the model we purchased and the brands reputation. The team at the Viking dealer was very helpful and delivery was done on time. The style and the temperature settings are nice. However, I dont know if Viking was worth the money we paid for. Weve had less expensive brands in the past that worked as well or had fewer issues than weve had with it. It should be more reliable for its price. The water dispenser is leaking and the ice dispenser has been replaced twice since we purchased the Viking refrigerator. Also, the approved service provider that was recommended on Vikings website was terrible. They came on April 17th, ordered several parts and then they communicated but there hasnt been anything done. They said they havent gotten the parts in yet or they are not sure if theyve gotten the parts in yet. Im having to contact them to follow up, and theyre not calling me despite our verbal agreement. I already paid for the parts, too. Well never use those people again.

I have some friends that own Viking appliances in their home and they have gourmet kitchens. When I’m over there, sometimes they extend their kitchen to me and it’s beautiful. We love to cook. When we have other visitors that come in, they utilize our kitchen, so I want the best stuff. We have not had the full experience with our Viking range, but so far the stove top is awesome. I also used the broiler for some great T-bone steaks. I like that it’s so spacious and easy to clean. I had one bad experience with their team at the dealer, but that was in-house and the general manager extended a conversation with us and took care of that. The only thing I wish I would’ve gotten was the wheels, but that would’ve made it a little different configuration. Other than that, it’s perfect.

Wife and I bought a house with a beautiful kitchen. We saw the Viking professional line in the house and it seemed like a blessing... until we moved in and the nightmares began. Two months into our living there, the dishwasher and refrigerator, both 2006 models have already broken several times. Little things are broken all over the inside of the fridge. The freezer does not seem to defrost and Ive manually had to chop out ice from the pan inside, which is nearly impossible. Dishwasher cannot get dishes clean at all, leaves a deposit. Weve been using citric acid and scrubbing inside of washer by hand... no effect. We know an appliance repairman and he has a policy of not touching VIKING at all costs. Our nearest repairman who says they will fix is miles and miles away, and gives a no guarantee disclaimer on all things related to Viking. Another guys asked us for an up front retainer and our credit card before hed even start and when we said no (seemed shifty) he said good luck because nobody wants to touch them. My parents had a GE refrigerator for 40 years. Our last fridge was Maytag and was 1/8 the price, no probs. Had a $200 GE dishwasher in old house that did a better job and no breakdowns for 10 years. Stay away from Viking.

I liked the look of the Viking brand. It has a really good reputation too. I had it in an old house of mine and I wanted to go back to it ‘cause I hadn’t had the best experience in between that with another brand that I had. The Viking range has great quality and it works well. I had one problem with it and Viking was right on it. They got someone over to fix a burner that wasn’t firing. Other than that, its been great.

We have had Viking for the past 12 years. I chose to buy Viking because I love to cook and I love the way you can cook and the refrigeration and the ovens work. This refrigeration we have has improved a lot from the one that we had before. My favorite thing about it is that the fruits last a little bit longer than a regular refrigerator and that the door works better because it’s make out of solid material. But I’ve been having a lot of trouble taking the stickers out of the inside of the refrigerator. I had tried everything and I still have two and a half stickers that I haven’t been able to take away. Also, its a little expensive but I will highly recommend Viking.

I spent almost $1000 on a Viking Microwave/Convection Oven - this was a terrible mistake. Service techs have been out 6 times repairing fuses etc. The control panel also broke which trips my circuit breakers. A new panel costs around $500. Ridiculous. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT buy a Viking microwave, especially the ones that go over your stove. They get funked up with so much grease and dont ventilate at all.

We upgraded our kitchen with all Viking appliances a couple of years ago, and I have never been so disappointed in a product line. All of the major appliances (refrigerator, stove and dishwasher) had to be serviced within the first year. The refrigerator has been serviced twice, the dishwasher three times and Im waiting as I write this for a call back from the service technician whom I paid $400 for repairs last week. On a positive note, the microwave works fine, but the trim at the base fell off of it, so I threw it away. The trim, not the microwave.Obviously there is a quality control issue that I am told Viking is working to resolve. In the meantime, my problem is the availability of servicing. The closest and ONLY certified Viking repair technician is an hour away (though the closest Viking distributor is 10 minutes away). Even though my appliances are out of warranty, I still have to rely on a Viking repair tech because Viking makes it nearly impossible for anyone else to service their appliances. If they cant make the stuff work right, youd think that they might at least Make it possible to get it fixed, since its obviously not a rare occurrence. Maybe they want us to toss the stuff out and buy new? Never again.

I purchased an entire kitchen of Viking appliances minus the fridge. The appliances were installed approximately 3 months ago, but have never been used because we are just moving back into the house. So far, we have had a repairman out for the stove, the microwave and most recently was told that the wine cooler has to have the control panel replaced. Are you kidding me? I haven’t had the first glass of chilled wine. I called corporate and was told that sometimes it happens. Not much concern was shown. They made sure that I knew that the cooler has a 2-year warranty. There are 3 reasons that I bought Viking products: first, they are beautiful; second, they are made in America; and third, I thought they were a good company with a very good product. I was wrong on everything except the beautiful part. Who protects us from these predators?

Ive known Viking Refrigerators for so long. I like the look and the style of the refrigerators. They also have a better quality than the rest of their competitors. The refrigerator that I have bought is average and Ive spent $9,000 on it. However, I’ve already had a service call out here because the thing wasn’t working properly. Based on the fact that they had charged much more, their product and service should have been stellar. Even so, somebody quickly got out here and that guy was great. I also Iike the construction of the solid door. And also, I like the fact that the inside thing is made of metal. Purchasing from Viking was a good experience up until the point where they were to deliver the item, but then it all went to crap. When they delivered the item, they gave me a delivery date, but they didn’t meet that. And then they gave me another delivery date and didn’t meet that as well. So it was just a big fiasco. It took three days to finally have the item installed. Since that was a Monday, they didn’t even have it installed and so I installed it myself. Also initially, Viking was responsive. I had bought three different products. I bought a Viking Refrigerator, the beverage center, and the ice machine. And two of them were delivered on one day. The beverage center was deemed late by Viking. They said they didn’t have it yet. So, once again, the second time they came in, they’re supposed to deliver it but they didn’t show up. They called me and told me that it wasn’t gonna be delivered for another couple days. And then again, it was supposed to be delivered between 12:00 and 5:00, and they showed up at 9:00 at night. The second time they delivered, the service level just sucked. These dealers are representing Viking. I know its difficult because they’re not just selling Viking, they’re also selling other products. But at the end of the day, it puts a bad taste on my mouth that Viking works with these people. If Viking wants to say that they are a service-oriented company and believes in their customers, then they ought to pay attention to who’s actually selling this product and who’s delivering the product in the homes because it only takes one experience to turn somebody off. So I don’t know if I’d ever buy another Viking again. I would also tell others that if they ever want to go buy the product, that would be fine but I would also tell them to make sure they do their research.

Model VCBB363 Viking Refrigerator - This refrigerator was bought to fit a custom install. There was one recall that was preform for door. Since then we have had nothing but major problem with it in that sometimes it works and then it dont, all the controls at the top that control the cooling etc. Goes haywire and then it defrost itself and wont come back on for hours, and then repeat itself. Have call Viking to repair it after major failure only to find out that technicians they send out call the Viking Refrigerator a bag of worms. Not my words but those of a company that they use to repair them.Kindly Viking send a composer to fix it, however it only work for a week and a half. I have discuss this with Viking and they tell me that they will give me $1100 off a new one. I would think that these people would get their act together. When we first took delivery of our Viking stove (double oven, 4 burners and grill) the larger of the two ovens didnt work and the computer motherboard had to be replaced. The company servicing it was great so the impact was minimal. Within the first few months, the black finish on the grease trough, although never used, started to peel, exposing the shiny metal underneath. Since it is so visible on top of the stove, I reached out to Brigade (the new name for Viking in Canada) for a replacement part, under warranty. After much waiting on hold, and back and forth emails, they agreed to send the replacement part.I waited five months only to find out that the order was never placed and a new company has taken over their parts distribution. They have informed me that since my warranty has now expired, they will SELL me the part at a discount. How nice! This stove, which looks beautiful, was meant to be a once in a lifetime purchase. Not only is it showing early signs that it wont stand up to normal use, the lack of customer service is disheartening! I wish I loved my stove but I dont and would not recommend a Viking/Brigade due to the poor customer service.

Finding service has not been easy. Theres a list of certified vendors, but its not as easy. Ive been cooking my whole life and my parents had a couple of Viking Ranges. I went with them as well because of the quality and a specific offering that they had that included a free dishwasher. The range is excellent. I like the simplicity, the quality, and the ability to rebuild, repair over time and the lack of any real computers and microprocessors. But I have never been more disgusted in the service that I received from a company, let alone one that Ive just given $5,000 to. I interacted with tech support a couple of times. The individual I was talking with was mumbling into the phone and acted like he was doing me a favor for helping me. He acted like my questions were completely ridiculous. When I talked to somebody at a call center in India for an appliance I bought at Home Depot, they treated me better than this. I had to tell him to put me on the phone with a different tech support person but they have no further help. I talked with people in the parts department who told me I was incorrect with regards to where the data tag was for where the serial number and model number were. It was an all-around garbage experience and they will never get another dime of my money.Ive since talked to other owners of Viking products as well as some technicians and they say that this is a common trend. I have written Viking and theyve not gotten back to me. Quite frankly, my next purchase will not be a Viking because Ive never encountered such pathetic treatment of a customer, especially one who thought they were buying a luxury brand which would come along with the support. Ive just convinced somebody not to buy a Viking as a result of this because that is unacceptable to me.

Were in the Florida keys and we just spend a couple of months a year at this house. We had to get a local company to take out the old refrigeration units and put the new ones in. We needed someone that would guarantee they could get the units upstairs. It was a complicated matter so we chose Viking Refrigerators for practicality purposes. The couple times I saw the Viking rep, he was very pleasant and it was so nice that he could call the company to get right in with somebody to troubleshoot problem. It was really good that they offer that so I know I wasnt relying on one person with very limited knowledge as to what they have. The refrigerator was doing well but there was a lot of noise in the beginning. I took a peek on the top for some vibration and I read in the instructions 22 screws go in there. Once those were put in the noise went away. Also, the quality control needed some help. In the freezer the sensor at the bottom of the door was installed backwards. They had several visits but they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. And they finally got it, had to order in a part and then we had ice. But other than that, they have been great. Right now, Im super happy with them. I love the size and quality of the ice cubes. They fit right in my water bottles. The freezer doesnt defrost so much every time that the ice sticks together. So thats good, I like that.

I wanted all my appliances to match. So I went and got the Viking refrigerator. My stove is really good but I see the refrigerator and I dont see the same quality. Im not very satisfied for the price I paid. The refrigerator has some issues. I have spoken to customer service and the year was going by and I thought I need to call them again. The refrigerator freezes food in the refrigerator area. But even at the bottom of the refrigerator, Im starting to see some sort of accumulation. The maintenance people are not very familiarized because the rep told me that down where Im from, there are not many people that own Viking. But the lady that does also had the same issues of food freezing. The handles are very wobbly. I constantly have to tighten them up. It doesnt have a feature in the ice machine where it stops after it feels that it has made enough ice. For such an expensive and quality brand, those features would have been looked into. They had to also repair, just within purchase, the deli meat door because it was off. It was crooked. Right away, they sent the deli door. But the guy hasnt even called me. This pertains to Viking microwave RDMOR200SST over the range unit. Purchased 12/12/13, installed 12/26/13, broken 1/18/14, lasted less than a month. Being in the HVAC field, Im very familiar with many brands, reputable and not so reputable. I recently read a tech article about Vikings new owner (CEO) and it seemed very promising. Boy was I wrong and he has a quality control/customer service nightmare on his hands. I have dealt with many companies in the field and this is without a doubt the worst. $650.00 microwave and the micro switches I found in this unit I would not have used in my daughters $5 toy. Youre probably saying, Why did you fix this yourself, you voided the warranty. Have you ever seen some of these morons they call appliance repairmen? Believe me, I have and I wouldnt trust 95% of them. Problem - wife shut the door and the micro circuit tripped, reset, breaker held but the micro was dead. Dissembled (only takes 2 minutes) and noticed 4 micro switches mounted on a cheap plastic rack, one of the switches the plunger was stuck in the down position. Upon inspection, the contact of the switch was welded together. These switches are rated at 16 amps, there is absolutely no way this switch holds 16 amps, no way. This is a fire hazard and a design defect. I removed all four switches and replaced with Ormon micro switches and NO THEY ARE NOT MADE IN CHINA , they are made in Japan. If I would have had warranty service tech perform this, they would have used the same cheap factory switches and the problem would have been reoccurring and caused more damage to the unit. For all of you do-it-yourselfers out there, change all of these switches out with quality ones. This will solve the majority of your issues with this unit.

I have known Viking Ranges for a long time but I never used it. Its high-end, and if you have a Viking in the house, its a good sales point to have. This time, I wanted the best of the best and for the purpose of investment so I bought one. However, the range is not the best as I expected but Im 80% happy about it. It doesnt have timers and setting like all the electronic-oriented, high-tech ranges have these days. Its very simple. Basically, turn the knob on or off. I like it, but more than that, it will help me. I dont have a particularly good eye, and I cannot see if its on or not, so I have to get used to it by feeling the knob. Thats all to it for this range. If you need the fancy features, dont get this one because it doesnt have any. But it does the job right, very straightforward and no frills.I originally purchased this at the local distributor on August 2016. It took three months to deliver through ocean freight because we live in Hawaii. On the day they delivered, the two delivery guys came and unloaded it from the truck. We live two levels up so they had to walk up the stairs. They start to complain about how far up it goes. It is a heavy unit at 400 pounds, so I understood. But at the same time, they said, Oh, there are two dents, one on the front, one on the side. I decided to take it because I thought it could be replaceable parts. But halfway through, two out of the six knobs came off. So, I refused the delivery. The store handled it okay. They gave me the refund which took a while then theyre going to replace the same item order. I made sure this time that the delivery guys did a good job, and they did. The range had no damage cosmetically and the knobs were intact. Its all in good shape. But thats not the end of the story. It finally arrived in the kitchen. But the delivery guys are trucking company people. So, I didnt request for the installation. The power cord needed to be hooked up to the unit because its electric, which I can do. I had the manual, and I was going to follow that. So, I started to open the back-side door to install the cable, but I noticed that its not the same as the picture in the manual. I called Viking and they sent one of the local repair companies to check it. It was the manufacturers mistake to mount the parts completely the wrong way.The repairman was professional, so he dismantled the whole power cable inside the unit, which I have no way to do. They fixed it and Viking was good about it. I didnt have to pay for that. But theres one other problem. The range is square and there are four legs. But the product they delivered had only three. They sent me the leg but on a different day. Im not that young anymore and I cannot move a 400-pound range by myself, lift it up and then install the legs. Its very dangerous and its not easy. So, I called Viking again and they understood the situation. They asked me to contact the same people who installed the cable but they said they will not come to install one leg. I said, The job was not completed. But they never got back to me--very rude voice and he sounded crazy. Im a customer. Why do I have to be accused like that? So, I called back Viking. I wanted somebody else to get sent over. I know its small job but its impossible to install it, and I was ready to pay for it. A very nice guy came over and did a five-minute work. He knew what to do. He installed it and I didnt have to pay for it. The range is working and doesnt have a problem. Viking is a great name and has good quality but getting it in the kitchen was just terrible. I understand Viking made a mistake and they handled this situation generously. But the experience of the whole purchase was a disaster. If I have a choice again, Im not going to buy Viking again ever. This is the last.

Multiple times during the hours and the cooking process on a long day, the thing just shuts itself off.We called customer service and weve had a maintenance repair guy out. We know the product comes with a two-year warranty so were kinda waiting to see if it gets any worse or what. My wifes frustrated because she should be able to deal with it, walk away from it and not worry about the thing turning itself off.

Were contractors who do high-end kitchen and bathroom remodeling and we used Viking on projects. We were going to get a Thermador for the price difference, but the Viking rep thought it would be beneficial to their company to give us a heck of a deal on their product to put the Viking in. In the end, it came in the same price as the Thermador. Plus the Viking dealer was perfect and the rep was super, so we went with them. But there were a couple of drawbacks. Viking used these drill bit screws that stripped if you tighten them too much. So the door has a couple of stripped screws and it rattles too, so I replaced them with larger sheet metal screws. So one of the people in the assembly line overtightened and its stupid. Its nothing I cant fix, but for its value, I shouldnt have to. Viking is made in Mississippi and its very important to me its made in the US. But Im shocked that Viking uses a Broan motor. The motor in ours was brand new but it lasted only 10 minutes and Im still waiting for the replacement. If I had known Viking had a Broan motor, I wouldnt have bought it. The quality of Viking over Thermador is really nice but Broan motors are garbage. Also, the only thing weve used is the burners, but were still waiting for the guy to adjust them. My wife likes the little window in the range, though.Viking looks beautiful and I know the issue with the parts is going to get taken care of but its been a long time. I called the dealer and I asked where the parts were at. He told me it was kind of difficult. If I was Viking, Id get the customer a new motor and ask him not to slam us. In our line of work, we deal with all these high end people and Thermador knocks the teeth out of Viking for sales.

I liked Vikings reputation for quality, specifically the range. I live in an all-electric home and adding gas would’ve been pricey. I got a high-quality range still within the parameters of my house but purchasing with the Viking dealer was the one bit of a dark spot. Appliances Connection wasnt very good at communicating the timeline for the reception and the arrangement for shipping was not great either. The communication on that was poor. When they finally scheduled the delivery, they told me when it was going to occur and I waited two hours after the fact. I was waiting at our work site since I don’t live where I was renovating. I finally called them to see what was going on. They said that the shipment was delayed and that they weren’t going to deliver it that night. It was 10 p.m. after they told me I had to wait, so that was frustrating. Nonetheless, the range looks incredible and I’m very anxious to test it out in cooking. Also, we liked the color options. It was silly, but it was really nice. We picked the graphite gray and it’s perfect. Although the dealer and the delivery were a little frustrating, everyone was professional when they delivered and they did a really nice job of getting it into the house quickly and safely. They had the tools to do it well.

When I renovated my kitchen in 2007, I purchased the Viking Professional Series dishwasher, fridge and gas top stove. IVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH ALL OF THEM. After spending $11,000.00+ for these three appliances (that came highly recommended by the salesperson at a large, high end appliance store), I expected a good quality product to don my newly renovated dream kitchen... WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!Initially, the appliances all Sat in their boxes until my kitchen renovation was completed about 6 months after my purchases. Several months after installing the appliances, the DISHWASHER broke... the water would not drain properly. Viking repair man fixed, then happened again about a year later. I asked Viking rep to replace product since same issue was re-occurring and appeared to be a pre-existing problem. I was told no; that since the dishwasher was still under warranty they would send another repair man. Fixed again... then same thing happened again within a year... except now (even though they Sat unopened in boxes first the 6 months) the warranty was over.I was told the diverter valve needed replaced, and it would cost over $600.00 to repair!!! I was beside myself, I called Viking and said this was ridiculous since this was a pre-existing problem and I should not have to pay for repair. Well we all know their response... Cant help as no longer under warranty. A frightening and dangerous feature of the GAS STOVE TOP is the design of the on/off knobs. I am all of 110 lbs, and sometimes when I lean forward to stir a pot on a back burner, the pressure from my body will actually turn the flame from the front burner on!!! Also, periodically when I turn one burner on, one of the burners that is off will make a clicking noise. The REFRIGERATOR water dispenser broke after the first year. Later had troubles with the ice maker bar getting stuck in the on position, and more recently the clear plastic on the large pull out drawer cracked. Finally, the other day the refrigerator just stopped working - like it went into a defrost mode - ruined all frozen foods, and most of the refrigerated items. I called the store where I purchased the Vikings to see if maybe the refrigerator was still under warranty - they said no. I mentioned all the troubles I have had with these products, and the sales representative said they stopped carrying Viking products. I think that says it all!!!The repairman came, said it was the poorly designed freon line which was directed into a drip pan (for cooling purposes) causing the line to rust/corrode, and consequently leak the freon. He was surprised to see this since he said, running the line in this manner was stopped years ago. The repair was estimated at $600.00 to replace the line, but possibly $1000.00+ if other related problems were found. The repair man said probably better to cut my losses and go with a more reliable refrigerator like GE, Kenmore or Whirlpool - rather than throwing good money after bad. Like many I want to repair since cheaper than buying new... but based on reading these postings, and past repair experiences... Im afraid of getting burned once again. Being stuck between a rock and a hard place. :(I would NEVER, ever recommend buying these overly expensive appliances built with their cheap parts, and poor design features. I feel like I spent a lot of money and never received a good return on my hard earned dollars. Should be illegal. Guy who mentioned a class action suit may be on to something.

We were building a house and knew that we wanted a chef standard range. Viking was one of the options and the price was fairly decent when we purchased it. I like the gas burners and the convection oven which cooks our food faster. The quality is also very good. I previously had an electric range and its not even in comparison with my Viking range, not even close. However, we recently had to get two of the switches replaced for the ovens and the ovens were down for almost a month. There are only 2 companies authorized to work on them through Viking and the D&T Appliance is not a very good company. Viking had over 300 of the parts in stock, but it took forever to send them and get my ovens fixed. Were in the process of selling the house and I dont know if Ill buy another Viking because of that. Viking knows theres something wrong with it. They wont have 300 of those parts in stock if those switches werent bad. I love my Viking range but I dont know if I would recommend it because of the customer service. If there’s nothing with it, it’s the best range out there. If something goes wrong with it, good luck.

Viking had a sale going on. The refrigerator I was looking at was discounted and with the rebate I was getting, that put it in a price range that was comparable to Sub-Zero. Plus, the store was saying that they have had good success with the refrigerator and that people liked it. I decided to take a chance on their technology. So far, food doesnt go bad in it and I love it. The refrigerator has technology that pulls out the gas that makes food go bad. Before, I would wind up throwing so much food out because it goes bad by the time I get around to cooking. Now, I make less stops at the grocery store. Additionally, water that that comes from my Viking tastes really good. Its much better than the GE Monogram that I used to have. However, the ice maker has a little wire bar that comes down when the ice tray fills up. Its supposed to set off but then it goes a little overboard such that I find ice outside the ice tray. Still, this was the only thing that was wrong. This is the second Viking that I have had and I have been very pleased with the service. With the first one I had, there was moisture building up on the inside. Everything was getting wet inside that refrigerator and almost every day I had to wipe it down. I complained and Viking sent servicemen out a couple of times. They couldnt figure out why the door wasnt sealing properly. They told me that they couldnt figure out the issue and that they would just get me a new refrigerator. I didnt have to pressure them so much and they gave me a new unit that works. So far, it works fine and its beautiful. I like the way its saving me money through not wasting food. Ive already recommended Viking to other people. I let people who have stayed at my place see it and I tell them about the refrigerators technology. They have been saying its a beautiful refrigerator.

I heard through a friend that Viking was one of the top tier appliance manufacturers. I looked at pricing versus quality. Vikings was very comparable. I also looked at the name brand and features that were offered. Viking was the way to go. I like that the refrigerator is counter-depth. It really blends in the look with the appearance in my kitchen. It looks like its built in. Its definitely an upgrade to what I had before. You can tell that the refrigerator is high quality. The interactions with the Viking dealer was good, but when they delivered the dishwasher it was damaged. They made good and replaced it with a brand new one though. Id tell friends that Im impressed with Viking and that it definitely is the right way to go.

The refrigerator (DFRB304L) was leaving a puddle on the floor in front. The repairman was clueless. Luckily, my son is an engineer and he took all the shelves out and took the inside back off in order to find the poorly engineered problem and caulk it. His repair worked. Also, the clear parts of the drawers all cracked. This is obviously a quality control problem, but when I contacted them, their response was that the refrigerator was out of warranty. At that time, it was only just. I really thought that a company like that would stand behind its products, but my eyes have been opened! They clearly dont care if you never buy another appliance from them.

I bought a Viking dishwater 11 months ago. During this time, I had to call their repair representative 5 times. I was very dissatisfied with this as I had paid more than twice an average dishwasher and expected better quality and not worse. I have been using dishwashers for more than 30 years and never had any problems before this one. Last week, the washer broke down again and the repair guy said that an olive pit had gone past the filter and into the drain, and he claimed that this was my fault and the warranty would not cover this situation! Now, I always wipe plates and try to get everything off but it is possible thata pit might be stuck to the bottom of a plate or glass and isnt the filter suppose to get that? I consider the design of the filter to be faulty and called Viking but they would not accept paying for the repair. I will never buy Viking again and will relay my experience to everyone I know and recommend them to stay away from Viking products which are highly priced, have poor reliability, and bad customer service.

The size of the refrigerator works really well, the space inside of it is great. We use one for all food and the other one is a beverage refrigerator. I use Executive Appliances for all my services. We purchased a new Viking all refrigeration unit and it has been nothing but trouble. Ice forms on the back wall and around the fan unit. The fan started to make a terrible noise because it was hitting the ice. Hadco (the Viking rep in Florida) has sent repairmen a number of times, but the issue is still not solved. It appears to me to be an engineering problem as there is no positive seal when the door closes. This would allow humidity to build up inside the unit. We have used Sub Zero before, but the Viking unit appeared to be better designed - it is not. I am in the process of trying to arrange for a replacement refrigerator.

The last one I had was a Viking Range. We had it for 18 years and it finally kept locking and wouldnt open so we couldnt keep it because it was really a nightmare. The company that sold me the oven at the store were responsive but they said they didnt service them. They gave me the numbers of some Viking dealers and nobody called me back. I kept contacting Viking directly and it took a long time. Finally I had to call the dealer back and say, “Look, you gotta help me here.” And they did. They found me somebody to service within the area. It was great but Viking itself is hard to access. They need to be more user-friendly. Getting treatment for the one that was broken and wouldn’t open was impossible. We got a new one because it was the only thing that fit into the space that we have on short notice because I was giving a party for about a hundred people. However, I wanted something that was easier to clean and the stove top is awkward to clean. Im getting to the point where I care less about aesthetics anymore but convenience.

I was looking at the Viking refrigerator and it was fit for what I wanted it for. It was also better priced than most of the other commercial units, so I decided to purchase it. I have it in my home for a year in May now and its a good refrigerator. But I had problems with it and I had technicians out here at least four times to work on it.I had a tech out twice for the icemaker when it wasnt working. Something had burned out in there so they had to come and replace that. From what I could tell, these repairmen were not familiar with these products, so they were not too sure. They were constantly making phone calls asking someone else how to do things but most of all, it was like some of these things were failing inside of the refrigerator. I also had a problem with the water dispenser. The rubber over it was broken and Viking shipped one part out. Then the repairman was out for that but it still didn’t work properly. So now, I’ve been waiting for this thing to be fixed and it has been three months. Aside from that, the BlueZone bulb burned out when it should not be going out after only seven months. I didn’t even have the refrigerator for a year. So, I had to buy another bulb which was a hundred bucks. Then, the refrigerator kept beeping after I replaced the BlueZone bulb, so I had to call somebody to come out to turn off this annoying beep. It was weird. All in all, Viking hasnt fine-tuned some of the little things on their product and everything there needs to be looked at. Even the replacement parts werent fitting and I don’t understand it. It’s also a little disappointing. I haven’t even paid the thing off and I’ve had the service guy five times out. They need to care more about customer service, too. The refrigerator is under a three-year manufacturer’s warranty but they wouldn’t replace the bulb. First, they told me that they didn’t have the bulb. So, I got the bulb at no cost. Then I didn’t hear anything, so I followed up with them and they said that I had to go back to my dealer, buy the bulb from them, and let them come and install it. Not only that, when I called Viking, they didn’t have the bulb in stock and I had to wait four months for someone to get this stupid bulb in stock. But Viking sells an $11,000 refrigerator, so they gotta have the replacement parts.

Our Viking built-in refrigerator door fell off, on top of my 8 year old son. The hinges that broke were actually the replacement hinges that were given to us by Viking after the initial door hinge recall in 2009. The replacement hinges were only in place only a year before failing. Has anyone else had a replacement hinge fail?My 8 year old sustained some minor injuries. The fridge model that we got does not have an in-door ice maker. We hate that the ice gets everywhere in the ice maker in the freezer, and it even gets underneath and falls out. However, the oven stopped working two months ago and they couldnt get it right for about a month. When they sent the part, it was the wrong one. The control board probably was defective from day one because one of the lights that used to go on for the cleaning cycle went on even when the cleaning cycle wasnt on. And the guy who repaired it told me that he did three stoves that had the same problem. And one of the lighting that he fixed the morning that he came to us had the same thing. But Viking was really nice and did very good customer service. They paid for the whole thing. I didnt have to pay for the parts or the labor even though it wasnt under warranty. Its working fine now.

Our Viking refrigerator stopped working. Then the oven that we chose worked for a month and stopped working, too. We had technicians coming back and forth with new parts for three times, but it never worked. And it took a while, from February until October, until Viking decided to give us a new one. We have a new oven now and its working. The refrigerator is also working now, so Im happy. But I was three weeks without it and it was a nightmare. The delivery of the part took forever and I didnt know what was causing the delay, especially with something so important like a refrigerator. When I was talking with the company that Viking recommended me to call, they said that we had to wait, that the delay was not on them, and that it was Viking that was taking forever to deliver the part. We also have an issue with the dishwasher. It’s not working properly because it’s not drying the dishes. But I haven’t called and made a complain about it because the repair took so long with the oven and the refrigerator. So our Viking experience hasn’t been good at all. It was frustrating and more than challenging. We thought we had the best appliances when we got Viking. But my husband and I were talking and we said that if we move, Viking would not be the brand we’re gonna choose.

Having a Viking Range is something that Ive always wanted for quite some time. Theyre expensive, but at my age now, I am finally able to afford it. I enjoyed cooking and never had this stuff with a high-end range before. I enjoy Viking a lot. I like the six-burner. I never had that many burners before. I could do simultaneously more things on the stove instead of taking turns before. Theyre all have nice sizes too. With the classic, it is just a four-burner range, you only have two small ones. You couldnt put a big pot on it. Then youre limited only to two larger ones. With Viking, theyre basically all the same size. It gave me a lot of options. We had some issues with the installation from Monark Appliances which is the store where we bought the appliances. But after that, when we contacted Viking, they were quite helpful. We had four appliances we got from them and they helped me register all the products online. Then they gave me the name of a local appliance or service dealer who could come fix the issue weve had with the installation that wasnt done properly. Ive been happy with the service we received so far.

I’m an architect so I’m familiar with Viking Ranges through my profession. They had a promotion where they’re offering a free dishwasher with the range and that kind of sealed the deal. In terms of the quality of construction and the materials it weighs almost 400 pounds. My only issue was the control knob on the oven. Even though it’s a very sturdy unit the shaft that held that onto the actual control was made out of cast metal. I just thought personally it was a poor choice of materials but they are fixing it under warranty. It’s actually done through Viking and one of their local representatives. When I had the warranty issue I contacted Viking directly in Mississippi and they were responsive and they had the issue resolved in a day. I knew of Viking 30 years ago. I live near the North Shore which is a pretty area and Viking was all they had in their houses. Thats what they got and that’s what I wanted. It was either Viking or Wolf stoves we were looking at. Wolf only had built-in refrigerators but when we designed our kitchen, we didnt do a built-in area for the refrigerators. Viking had the range, the microwave, and the refrigerator so we went with them. We used Grand Appliances in Libertyville and they were phenomenal. I was a pretty savvy consumer so I went about and did my research before I went in. We had a saleswoman who was fantastic too.We like the Viking range. It works and I like the blue light. The only thing we dont like about it is it doesnt have a timer on there, like a digital display. It has the knob on it that tells the temperature, though. When Im cooking something in the oven, I have to set the timer. Other than that, every appliance in our kitchen is all Viking. We bought a Viking microwave, so we set the timer on that. Our dishwasher is Viking too. When we had one little problem with our refrigerator, they came out to fix it. Now, its making a knocking noise but hopefully, it will go away before we call back. Viking Refrigerators has a good reputation and so far the quality of the brand-new refrigerator I received is good. I bought the refrigerator from H. H. Gregg who ended up going out of business so I had some problems in the beginning with delivery. I also ran into some issues with the sales department at Viking not sending somebody out to fix the door right away when the door wasnt closing properly. It was a handle that was loose and it wasnt anything I could fix myself. It had to be done by an appliance repair person. But once I got the refrigerator in the house and everything was up and running Viking was good about coming out and having an appliance repair person come out right away. Also the design is good. The French door-- its a convenient arrangement. You can access the drawers with only one drawer open so you dont let as much of the cold air out. Also the buttons that you push to change the temperature up and down are easily accessible and it is great. I also have a brand-new Viking dishwasher and an under counter refrigeration unit so I have three major appliances through them. Viking has been good overall.

How in the hell can any company stand for that type of customer relations and expect people like us to recommend their products?? But there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there are some companies that still know the business of good customer relations and that is Wolf / Sub Zero. Point in fact, my double oven control unit went out. We called the Wolf service center and asked them if there was anything they could do for us to minimize the cost of replacing the module at $760.00. They immediately said that they would waive the cost of the parts but we would have to pay a service fee of $125. DONE DEAL. By the way, the unit was ten years old. I tell this story to everyone who will listen, perhaps Viking will, someday. To be fair, I did find out that there was a recall on the refrigerator door pins that could break and the door could fall off. I called and they were very nice and will cover the replacement costs and parts 100%, which they should on any safety recall.

We worked with the person that our builder referred and he was really nice and helped us out. We purchased the Viking refrigerator as we like its look. We then picked out other Viking products to go with it. However, the refrigerator has leaking problems and I’ve been waiting for about two weeks now to get any sort of service from Viking. It’s been really awful. They only have one person in the Des Moines area who services the product, and when the rep called to set something up, she was really rude and refused to service my refrigerator. So now, it’s supposed to be with the regional manager and I keep calling back every day and nobody calls me back. Its a very poor, runty service with Viking.

Where do I begin. 4 and half years ago, we remodeled our home and bought Viking appliances which we have been very happy with EXCEPT for the horrible, horrible dishwasher. It has NEVER worked properly, EVER. So much so that after 2 years, I got Viking to replace it with a new one and its still doesnt work well. It spontaneously starts beeping, non-stop, the cycle takes FOREVER. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. A friend recommended to get a less expensive one, stainless steel but that will work better. Thats all from me.... Grrr.

I had a Viking at my previous home. I just like their product and the commercial aspect of it. The first one I had was the open burner kind of thing and all steel. With the new range, I like the way it cooks and the little LED light thing thats underneath that you can actually see the knobs that illuminate it. Compared to the old range I had that had a softer side and could easily be scratched at the back, this new one has a softer cushion and it doesnt mark like the first. The only shortcoming was my experience with the Viking dealer. I like the range and if I had just gotten it from someone else, it would have been a whole lot better. Everything did not happen like it was supposed to. The salesperson neglected to schedule the installers so I had appliances sitting in my kitchen for three days uninstalled. I went to that store so many times prior to them doing the delivery because I had such a bad feeling it wasn’t going to go right and I was right. But theyre the only game in town and I was trying to buy local instead of ordering it on the internet.

The refrigerator I bought is very good but the drawers are kind of flimsy. You push it to a certain point and then they self-close. If those drawers were on ball bearing or a little bit different, itd be really top-notch then. My favorite features of the Viking are the door itself, the styling and the lights.

Ive always known about Viking Refrigerators for a long time and it was in the house that we purchased. There was a Viking Range, a Viking refrigerator, and a stove then. I was replacing an existing Viking refrigerator that was about 17 or 18 years old. It was built-in so I was looking for something that would fit into the exact space where it was. And when I went to the appliance store, the salesperson at the appliance store steered me to Viking. I was buying a refrigerator and a dryer that day and he showed me something else but he strongly suggested the Viking and since I didn’t have any negative feelings about Viking, I went with it. This refrigerator will be the third refrigerator and the first one kept having problems. It would freeze up and the icemaker wouldn’t work. The refrigerator section would heat up to about 43 degrees and the freezer would get down incredibly cold. I had six service calls on it and finally, the service guy said, “I think we need to get this thing replaced.” So Viking replaced it after several weeks and sent a new one out to Asien’s Appliance here in Santa Rosa and they delivered it. However, the guys that delivered it couldn’t align the doors properly. The refrigerator section was about half inch or a bit lower. The door was lower than the freezer side so I called the people that handle the warranty repairs again and the guy came out and looked at it. He said that there was something wrong with it and maybe it was dropped. He couldn’t fix it and jury-rigged it so the door worked. For a while, the door wouldn’t even close but then he worked on it again and he got the door to close by taking some part out. I got word that Viking set up a delivery of a replacement for that one. This will be the third one and hopefully, it will be okay. I wouldn’t recommend them to a friend but at least Viking is faithfully standing by their warranty.

The Viking Refrigerator that I got is great. Its everything I thought it would be. I like the bright lights, being able to change the configuration that it has. I like the more solid material. There is one thing I wish they did have that is not there, and thats a filter for the water that goes to the ice. Cause typically the water connections are behind it, and since this is built-in, its not like a regular fridge where you can pull it out and then change the filter. I had to run a line from my reverse osmosis system to go to the back, even though theres a water connection with the spigot built into my house behind it. But everything else has been great. Were pretty happy with it. It looks great and performs really well.
