I spend nearly $12,000 in a complete new Viking set (Range, Fridge, Dishwasher and hood). In less than 2 years the technician has come to my house 3 times. The oven didnt self regulate and eventually the thermostat had to be replaced. The digital display on the dishwasher looks like it is in Japanese and the freezer drawer in the fridge needs to be adjusted every 2 weeks. It is a weekend home so you can imagine how much use it got since it was installed. I am being told that all labor is on me. Their customer support was courteous, but denied point black any responsibility. If you buy it, is just for the looks. The quality is certainly not there! And they should not announce themselves as a premium or high quality brand.

We have always liked the higher-end brands. We knew that Viking was a high-end product and we’ve always felt that we’ve gotten better attention if there were service issues from the higher-end products. Purchasing the fridge was easy and efficient. I already had the refrigeration in mind because I went on the Viking website and researched that accepted the water. I knew that that’s the one that I wanted, and I went in the dealer and we were able to knock out all the items that I needed. Also, the delivery was very quick and the delivery men were great. When my refrigerator broke right before Thanksgiving, they were able to get me refunded because I was going out of town and they were able to get to me right after I came back.I have my kitchen custom built. I had a Jenn Air before, which I was not happy with. The smaller Viking that we purchased was able to fit. We like the size and everything about it is just pretty. The only thing that I don’t like is there’s no water dispenser since I don’t like having to access the water and ice on the outside of the refrigerator. I didn’t know that there was no water dispenser when I purchased the fridge. I might have reconsidered it had I known that. But other than that, we like the fridge. There’s a lot more space than the Jenn Air and I like the way that the compartments are all set. I have a lot more room for things and they’re easier to see. Were very happy with our purchase.

The refrigerator has doors that did not line up properly from the time it was received brand new. Viking already replaced the door on the frig side, and they have sent out techs to fix the alignment problem, and they sent their head guy. None of these efforts fixed the problem. Viking replaced the motherboard on the refrigerator too. The shelves and doors and drawers all have broken multiple times. Food freezes, milk freezes, we have wasted thousands in spoiled food because of this faulty refrigerator. Viking is now pulling the it is out of warranty game although they promised me they would extend the warranty since they wanted me to allow them to fix the original Pro Series Refrig when they should have replaced the lemon appliance from the start. Dont trust them. Make them put it in writing. Better yet, dont let them constantly repair their junk, and make you live through inconvenience in a kitchen you paid $25k for their top of the line Pro Series. Insist on a refund or new replacement, otherwise you will be constantly living with techs and once the warranty expires they will say you are all on your own.Viking replaced the double ovens, and the two dishwashers. Amazing no more problems and no service calls since the original junk was removed from my home. It should be noted that we replaced the dishwashers with LG, and no problems. In fact our CA home has Sub Zero, Fisher & Paykel and Miele, and they are all twice the age of this Viking junk that is in our AZ home and no problems. We also have Kitchen Aid in our TX home and no problems. Our Viking problems over the past 3 years since building our new home has caused huge inconvenience, and the problems are obviously correlated to the poor quality control that allowed such defective appliances to be sold. As with all the other Viking problems, once the original appliance has been removed and a different one installed, we have zero service calls. Why would Viking Customer Service fight me on this? Viking had a great rep who did such a good job of trying to correct the problems with all of their other appliances, yet they now will not acknowledge the multiple times their techs have been out and in fact they recently stated there has only been one functional service call. Apparently Viking does not keep good records or they dont consider replacing an entire door, or replacing the motherboard, or replacing cracked drawers, or fixing a constant alarm, or fixing a freezing of milk problem, or replacing cracked shelves, or replacing broken rollers, etc to be functional service calls. If Viking will live up to their commitments they made to me I will gladly let other consumers know but as of this writing they are ignoring me and leaving me with a broken refrigerator, one that was broken from day one, and hiding behind a warranty expiration date. I called who they claim is the head of all customer service, but she would not speak with me and the receptionist told me someone else is actually the head for my region. I do not want to speak with a regional head, as this is a matter that Vikings Chief Quality Officer needs to be made aware of. Viking if you care about your customers you will have someone contact me immediately to remedy this horrible situation.

From the time I bought 2 top-of-the-line Viking dishwashers, I have had problems. I am noticing that most people in this room experienced similar laissez-faire attitude from Viking who must have bounced me from one representative to another a good 5 times over the years, only to tell me that my warranty ran out. One lady tried to help me but was swiftly replaced and I never got the attention this needed. $4500 spent and most wash (all of them) end with error/fault codes and need resetting. This message, I hope, will discourage people from being lured into believing that Viking is a stand up company and that they place good emphasis on making sure the client is taken care of. Additionally, where I think they really should rethink the way they treat clients, is that in my case, I am looking to replace refrigerator, freezer and 60 inch cooking surface. They will be missing out on this (however small) amount of revenues. If anyone gets thru to management or customer service for any kind of help, I would like to know about it as I am not yet able to replace it for a competitor and would still like Viking to make me whole on this bad purchase.

My Viking Refrigerator has been great. I got it from Best Buy and Ive had it for several months now. I like its size and capacity. I called Viking weeks ago to tell them that my fridge is making a noise. They referred me to a local dealer and I left a message but they never called me back. Our experience with the range so far has been very nice. The only thing is that when were trying to light the burners, they dont ignite really quickly. The cleanup of ours is manual but we havent had issues doing it ourselves. The only downside is that theres no thermostat and you cant see what temperature the ovens at. Other than that, I recommend purchasing one. Just make them give you an oven thermometer. For what you pay for the stove, I would think they would give you one of those.

My parents owned a Sub-Zero which only makes built-in refrigerators and not stand-up ones. Ive heard of Viking in the past and theyre my number two choice. However, I received my refrigerator damaged. A lot of parts under it were bent so its not leveled and I have to put a piece of wood behind the fridge to level it. Also, the bottom grille doesnt line up with the fridge. Theres also frost build-up all around the inside of the fridge where the cool air comes out of the little vents. Theres supposed to be a gap in between the shelves but theyre touching. And the door slams hard. It doesnt feel like a normal fridge. Its hard and its like plastic on plastic when it closes. The freezer door is not even with the refrigerator doors like its pushed in on one side. When I close it, it’s supposed to be flush with the doors but only one side is pushed down and one side is pulling out. The Viking team was friendly but they took a while to return calls. I spoke to a representative and she said she was going to check on my fridge. I had to call her the next week and they were supposed to call me back two days later and this last week but I still havent heard from them. They said they were going to send out somebody to repair the fridge but the company guy said its irreparable. Overall, Vikings built-ins are very good but their stand-ups are not.

Had Viking stove top for 3 years without any problems. One day spilled about 3 tablespoons of water over a flame adjuster knob which somehow shorted the wiring inside!!! Then it seems in the entire Northwest suburbs of Chicago, there is only ONE Viking authorized repair service. So you guessed it... they charge astronomical prices. Went to a highly peer-rated appliance repair service that was a lot less costly. They stated Viking is slow as snails in giving up replacement parts unless you work through their authorized repair shops. Sure enough, its been almost 2 months without parts shipped. Dont buy Viking if living near Chicago.

This pertains to Viking microwave RDMOR200SST over the range unit. Purchased 12/12/13, installed 12/26/13, broken 1/18/14, lasted less than a month. Being in the HVAC field, Im very familiar with many brands, reputable and not so reputable. I recently read a tech article about Vikings new owner (CEO) and it seemed very promising. Boy was I wrong and he has a quality control/customer service nightmare on his hands. I have dealt with many companies in the field and this is without a doubt the worst. $650.00 microwave and the micro switches I found in this unit I would not have used in my daughters $5 toy. Youre probably saying, Why did you fix this yourself, you voided the warranty. Have you ever seen some of these morons they call appliance repairmen? Believe me, I have and I wouldnt trust 95% of them. Problem - wife shut the door and the micro circuit tripped, reset, breaker held but the micro was dead. Dissembled (only takes 2 minutes) and noticed 4 micro switches mounted on a cheap plastic rack, one of the switches the plunger was stuck in the down position. Upon inspection, the contact of the switch was welded together. These switches are rated at 16 amps, there is absolutely no way this switch holds 16 amps, no way. This is a fire hazard and a design defect. I removed all four switches and replaced with Ormon micro switches and NO THEY ARE NOT MADE IN CHINA , they are made in Japan. If I would have had warranty service tech perform this, they would have used the same cheap factory switches and the problem would have been reoccurring and caused more damage to the unit. For all of you do-it-yourselfers out there, change all of these switches out with quality ones. This will solve the majority of your issues with this unit.

My choices are limited when I go to 36-inches as far as the manufacturers. Viking was one of them. And at the time, they gave an incentive. When I bought the range, I got a free Viking dishwasher. The quality is good. When the range was delivered, there were some scratches on it. The store that I purchased it from had somebody come out and take care of it. I used the broiler six months after I bought the range and it didnt work. So, the appliance store sent out whoever they use for repairs and service and they were able to fix the problem. The one question I have is why when you go to a 36-inch range, Viking doesnt offer a self-cleaning oven. Also, the 36-inch range is more of a commercial range. Because we pay a good amount for these ranges, Viking should give a tutorial after they install it. How to use it, what to look for, how to clean it. That would be helpful.

At first, we were thinking about Thermador, but the package that Viking offered with the microwave at the time coaxed us to go the Viking route so that we could have a Viking range and microwave. Were very happy with the range. It cooks phenomenally and bakes pretty evenly, which is really great. Plus, the way the dials light up at night looks pretty cool. But my favorite thing is the blue lights that light up under the lighting on the external part of the range.

We did our brand new house so we had to do an entire kitchen and its the last kitchen well do so we wanted something that we felt would last. We had heard that there were issues with Viking as far as repairs but my husband really wanted a Viking. There was some issue with registering the product and for some reason, the cards never reached them but when I had to call, the lady from customer service, Charlotte is the kindest, most patient and helpful person. She was magnificent and very empathetic. We also had issues so early on which was a little disappointing. I have the Double French-Door Oven unit and there was a 100-degree difference. However, theres not a lot of people who service Viking in my area and it took four weeks to get someone out. But the person who came was extremely helpful, nice and professional. I liked him a lot. He fixed it so that was okay but then we had an issue with the oven that was under the range and he got everything taken care of at once.I also wish Viking would reconsider what they put around the burner range to be a more durable, washable and scrubbable type of metal. Because if you try to use an abrasive, you wear off that surface and Im a bit of a neat freak so it irks me a little bit that I cant keep that ring clean. The repairman said once the food is on it, theres really not much I can do to clean them. He even admitted that it was a definite drawback. But the range overall is fantastic and my favorite is that it cooks very efficiently and evenly.

Professional Refrigerator/freezer model #VCFF236SS002 - Purchased an existing home with barely-used 2012 Viking appliances. Within a week neither refrigerator nor freezer were holding temperatures. The shelves in freezer were also easily off-track. Took 3 days to reach Viking Corporation since it does not take calls on weekends or holidays, nor after 5pm ET. Once connected to Viking Corp service rep I learned that the appliance is under warranty for 30 more days. But the approved service provider/distributor for the state of WI is in IL, and the first available diagnostic appointment was one week out. The company rep at LV Distributors in IL gave a 50-50 chance that the service tech would be able to repair the refrigerator on the first visit, and could not estimate the time it would take to obtain necessary parts, nor when a tech would return for 2nd time. Calls to local high end appliance sellers & Viking owners about alternative service providers were fruitless. Reading Consumer Reports and other posts from owners in same circumstance makes it clear that this $3600 appliance is a bad choice if one wants a reliable, sturdy appliance.

I looked at the reviews for Viking and it seemed that it was a very good high-end product. I went ahead and did the upgrade with them. But the quality is not there compared to the KitchenAid product that was installed in most of the units that we bought. With the upgrade value, weve been having nothing but problems. We had to replace the bottom freezer drawer and its still not working. Its still uneven and the representatives couldnt get that straightened out. They had to go back again. Were still waiting to hear about whats gonna happen. Also, the side paneling where you have the temperature and the other things that you can do with the refrigerator was damaged. Its a brand-new refrigerator and I already had to have the door replaced. And theres no water dispenser in the refrigerator. Its totally not worth it and I regret it. Ive been telling other people not to get it. We also have the dishwasher and when you put it on the cycle, there will always be moisture inside. The dishes are drying but the moisture on the back and the front of the door when you open it still exists. That was weird. Ive never had a dishwasher that didnt fully dry. This one doesnt even have an upper level the feature where you can put the forks and knives. It was a big fail there. We also got a Viking stove and the fan belt is bent. If you wanna do the convectional oven feature, you would see that its making a weird noise. Its a brand new stove so why was this happening? And the knob on the stove were all scratched. That was another complaint. I registered the products and I placed the service ticket. They contacted the vendor or the wholesaler that the general contractor used. The general contractor is Resolute and they did the purchase of the Viking product through Appliance Center. Thats the wholesaler who then came out and did the service for us. One of the technicians admitted that he had a lot of issues with the Viking stove. He was aware of them because he does a lot of service calls for Viking stoves. It has not been a good experience for my husband and me. The only thing that we like is the microwave oven. That was the only one that didnt really give us any issues. All in all, I would not and I will never get another Viking again.

Our GE refrigerator doesnt have as good as the quality that we expected for the price. The worst part is I cant really get it cleaned. I follow the instructions as to how to get that stainless cleaned and it doesnt do what the manual tells me. It doesnt really look like I would want it to look, which is to look uniform. It doesnt come out even and the surface is so bad to clean that I keep those fiberglass things so that when I open and close the doors, I dont have to do the handles constantly. And the other thing which we didnt know when we purchased it was we just assumed it had an ice maker and it doesnt have an ice maker.

Ive heard of Viking for years because my son-in-law builds very high-end homes, and I know that at times they use Viking appliances. We bought our Viking refrigerator through Best Buy, and the reps there were fabulous. This fridge was on display at Best Buy when I was there. The reps said that normally Viking refrigerators arent on the Best Buy floor, but this fridge had been returned because it had a slight dent in it and the customer wouldnt accept it. One of the big reasons that I bought this fridge was the counter depth, and that was key. We ordered our Viking refrigerator back in October, but weve been under construction all this time and we just finally got it put in. Weve only been using it for about three weeks to a month. The quality of the fridge that we got is good. I like the brightness and how the doors open very fully. However, the only complaint I have right now with it is about the ice in the container in the freezer. Sometimes, the container overfills and when you open it, it pops the ice out down into the bottom. Nevertheless, I had a good experience overall with Viking.

Viking Built-In Convection Microwave Hood - I have owned this appliance for less than 5 years and it is already inoperable. The machine started buzzing and burning. A repairman told me that it has defective parts. Nothing caused by us. Total cost for the repairs is $576. The warranty states that only one part is covered for 5 years - of course, not the parts I need. The company (Viking) wasted a lot of my time only to state the same, Sorry, not covered. Frustrating. Ive already had to have it replaced. Its a brand new machine, and every time I open up the door, the ice falls down. It is horribly designed. They should have figured it out. The ice machine is not one of those where you put a cup into it. Its just like a normal ice machine where one has to open up the door. Viking was having a deal where if you buy three of the main appliances, there would be a discount so I bought their refrigerator. It has a little space on the bottom that can fit a whole pizza box and I like that. It also has a wide freezer that has a lot of storage space in the separate freezer. But the unit has been with me for less than two years and it already needed repair. There was an electronic component on the defroster that went out. It was still under warranty, so I went back to the appliance store and got the name of the person that they recommended. I had to go online and make sure they had the warranty information and had to schedule a repair. Then they had to order the parts and the repairman had to come back a second time to install them. Aside from that, every one of the plastic drawers that pull out has hairline cracks. I talked to them about getting those replaced and Viking told me that since its a cosmetic issue, its not covered by the warranty. Also, when we were doing the repair and were taking out the glass shelving, the glue on the bracket that attached it to the glass came off. Its not a big deal because it sits on the glass, but it’s another example of why I dont see the unit as high-quality, like how the repair and appliance people described it. I also bought a Viking range and it works well but the preheat cycle takes a long time. I wish that there was more versatility and I would do away with the grill and just have a griddle that was two chambers wide. I was also disappointed that it doesn’t have a clock or automatic cut. So I feel that for what I paid for, I got a very low-tech item.

Viking Refrigerator had the most cubic feet in all refrigerator units in 2006. I owned one since 2006 but there was a corrosion issue in it which caused some problems. The warranty honored most of the repairs and it had been fixed. Then I just put in a replacement for the 2006 model that I had. I have high expectations that this new one will be a little more durable. The interior lighting on the new one is great and the accuracy of the temperature seems to be very good. The only drawback is they are extremely expensive. They jumped in cost tremendously from the first time I bought it. But it would have cost even more to reset the space for a different model. So I went ahead and bought a second Viking. Other than that, Im happy with the performance of it. The length of the order time for the new refrigerator was really excessive. I ordered this new unit in October in hopes of getting it in before the holiday season cause I was having a big party where Id cook enough food for 100 people. But I didnt get it delivered to me until May. Apparently, Viking had to send it back to the factory a couple of different times because there were defects and it didnt make it through inspection.

Our Viking Microwave that we purchased 2008 has blown a hole in the bottom of the microwave. I contacted three representatives from Viking, including the West Coast Office president, Bob Woods, who could not help us. We took numerous pictures and e-mailed them to him. He then talked with their engineers who had no idea what happened. This is supposed to be a top of the line product. I am extremely frustrated that I have been given the runaround with no answers. Our appliance repairman (Executive Appliance) said he has never seen anything like this, as the bottom of the microwave is metal. My husband and I live alone and are in our late 50s and do not put anything exotic in the microwave, so this is not an issue. PLEASE HELP!

Viking Ranges was already in the house through the builder. They provided a Viking product and we were happy about it. The quality of the product is good. We bought our Viking range new but some problems were existing when we moved in and it needed some adjustments. The griller wasn’t working and the door has to be replaced because it isnt closing properly. But everything’s been pretty good so far and Viking has been very helpful with the service appointments. Scheduling the service appointments was simple. I called and got somebody fairly quickly. The reps were able to connect me very quickly with the third party that came to do the service. The people that they sent were very quick and the process was very easy. Weve scheduled two service calls. There should have been one service call, but there was a miscommunication between my husband and me, and I didn’t tell him to tell the techs the first time about the other issues. The techs were here the day before, but they still need to come back to install the new door. Viking Ranges has been great. We use our Viking range everyday and it has been doing its job.

When it works it works great. I have this stove over 10 yrs. Easy to clean but the controls on the oven parts are not so great. Problems is getting service on this stove nearby. Its a commercial quality stove and somewhat an overkill for the average homeowner. Newer stoves today have more electronic controls while this stove doesnt. I can interchange both natural and propane gas.

Purchased a complete kitchen full of Viking professional series products in 2008. In 2011 the microwave quit working. In 2011 the stove top igniters are always trying to light a lit stove. 2011, dishwasher spray arm fell off (plastic broke). Ongoing is my fridge freezer side by side. Too warm on top but frozen veggies in the crisper. The oven always seems to take a little longer to get to temp then in 2014 would never get to temp. Have called the Authorized Viking distributor and have always been transferred around. I have been pushed to an authorized repair company and been fleeced for labor and materials. Dealer came out for dishwasher and after talking on the phone for an hour told me it would be over $500 to fix. I paid him for the service call and found the part online, and put it in myself. Took the microwave out and just bought a GE. No one wanted to work on the micro. Pulled the oven out of the wall, called the technician and he came out to troubleshoot. Told me the lower element was out. He quoted me over $550 to fix when the part came in within the next few weeks. I paid him the 140 for the trip charge and service call and found the element online for 111. I put it in myself. An absolute hassle and this is unacceptable for appliances that are supposed to be top of the line. Never, I mean never... NEVER will I ever buy another Viking product. Pure 100% crap. I have a mother in law apartment that does not have a single Viking product. Never have issues. I have Kohler throughout the main house. Hardly ever an issue. If there is one, I talk to KOHLER and they send me what it takes to fix. I cannot wait to remodel my kitchen!!!

The same people that have serviced my Gaggenau, Bosch and Sub Zeros dont want anything to do with my Viking dishwasher. Professional, what a joke. We have barely used it and is already broken. The worst part is customer service. No help at all. Im cutting my losses and ditching this piece of junk.

Were really glad we went with a Viking range. The only thing is the instruction manual could be a little bit better. The oven has a little light when it comes on and when we set the temperature and the light goes out, that means it has reached the desired temperature. It doesnt say that in the manual. Other than that, everything is working well.

I recently purchased a Viking dishwasher. Was in the in the middle of remodeling my kitchen. When I came to take the dishwasher out of the box it had a dent on the front door and the top right-hand side of the unit I called customer, and the lady told me they do not cover Freight damage. They will replace the door but not the unit. I go to install the unit and there is water coming out of the hose. I called customer service again and they told me they do not cover that and they can only replace the door. Thank you Viking.

We built a new home 14 months ago and had Viking appliances put in it. But my Viking range has been broken for 12 of those 14 months. The repair guy would fix one thing and then something else would go bad or he would uncover something else that was already bad. They were out four times before somebody said, We dont ever do this, but we need to replace the range. So, I ended up getting an entirely new range. But theres not been one day that it hasnt been broken and a ticket was open. Also, if I make a call, it takes at least three weeks to get a response and somebody to work on it. At one point, I waited six weeks to get somebody to come. Thats not acceptable. Also, they are are saying, This part is stuck at.... I am so tired of all these ships because of COVID that are stuck in some foreign space station somewhere that nobody knows exists. But the product has been good once they give me the one thats working. I would buy Viking again because of the product. It was the follow-up that I have a problem with. A high-end company did a very big disservice to a good product because of how they acted post-failure.

My Viking range has been a good investment so far for me. Weve had it since last summer and its a great range. I like it a lot. It’s very efficient and the oven heats really quick. It’s solid too. I like the fact that it’s like a commercial range, so it gets really hot. But when you put it on the low setting, it’s not very low ‘cause it’s got pretty big burners. The only thing that’s odd is when I’m closing the oven door the enamel is chipping off of it ‘cause there’s this piece that sticks out. Otherwise, the quality is good.

We wanted to have a name brand appliance for our home and the cost point for Viking Range was slightly better. It has a noisy fan that runs after you run the stove and you turn it off and you’re having dinner and this thing just keeps running and running. There’s no adjustment to it and there’s no way to bypass it. It’s a deficient feature and that is a cause of some significant dissatisfaction. Other than that, I like it. It has good quality and Im pretty happy with it. We’re 9,000 feet and the gas nozzles were the wrong size for this altitude. The local guy from East River Appliance Repair was completely clueless and had really no value. I was ready to return the thing and I was really unhappy with it. But Viking was willing to bring a guy four hours from Denver up to Crested Butte, Colorado and fix a problem that the local guy was clueless about. The guy up from Denver was a real pro. He knew what he was doing and fixed everything. He said that the door was not primarily damaged and it could be adjusted. He saved the day for Viking. I thought the range was a defective unit and this guy was able to correct everything and showed that it wasnt defective. I’m pretty happy with the customer service I got.

10 years ago we did a remodel of our kitchen and game room after saving up for eight years to pay for it. I convinced my wife to purchase the Viking refrigerator over the Sub Zero which she really wanted. She had purchased a Viking range at our old house which she loved and we moved it to our new home. After it and the new refrigerator were installed I felt that it was perfect and I was proud of the fact that we were able to afford such a nice kitchen. Well soon after we had problems that everyone here has had and more. I have been holding back from blasting Viking on the net for a while. Tonight we came home to see water stains in our game room ceiling, coming from the kitchen upstairs right under the fridge. I followed the water line through the drop ceiling up under the fridge. All good, no water or leaks from the line or connection. Then I notice that the drip pan is MELTED completely and is stuck to the floor like TAR. So if you are reading this and you had over heating/thermostat and coolant leaks and ice buildups and gasket replacements and hinge recalls and numerous service calls. YOU better check your drip pan. Did I mention that I work for a moving company and bash Vikings name everywhere I can. Imagine moving furniture for 8 years to pay for this.

I like the look of the stove that I got from them. I also like its quality, which is great. There’s no comparison between my Viking oven and the one that I had in the past, as Ive never had anything of this quality before. The sturdiness of the range is my favorite feature. In addition, the burners are all very accurate and I like the way they burn. I would tell friends to go ahead and buy a Viking range.

I had a Viking refrigeration unit close to 15 years. But it crapped out and it was gonna cost $2,500 to fix it. The cabinetry that I have was all set to the same size of a Viking refrigerator and I didn’t wanna pull out the cabinetry that I have built around it. The showroom also had a Viking refrigerator that I was able to buy off the floor model that they were willing to sell me because I got my first Viking there so they gave me a discount on it. Its lighting is a lot better than the old one, but Im very concerned when I bought it. I bought it from Holloways and they told me that I would get the standard guarantees if anything was to go wrong. Its like buying a new product off of the floor. But the refrigerator wasn’t working in the store and it was just set up there. I thought I was buying a model where I get the same guarantees. After I registered the product with Viking, I was told by their customer service people that my refrigerator was out of warranty because it was on the floor for five years. If Viking was such a great company and had superior products, they would give me the same guarantee as a new refrigerator. Im stuck with this model now and they will not back up a product that was brand new to me for more than 90 days. My experience with them, whether I get a guarantee or not, made me become turned off with the company 100%. I would not buy and recommend a Viking.

My brother does kitchen remodels and installs appliances and I used to install Viking Ranges with him. As Ive seen those ranges coming out of the boxes and see them perform I said to myself that when I do my own kitchen Im going to get one. Ive installed some of the KitchenAid ones and I always went back to the quality of Viking. Our dealer held our oven for us until it was ready for delivery for almost three weeks which I was appreciative of. The installation was done by Jose and it went smoothly. He advised us where we had to put the level of the gas line for that particular model. I like the condensing fan in the oven when I’m baking at two different levels. It rotates the heat. Another thing is the burners are strong at high and I can adjust it to where I need it to be. There was a manufacturer defect though. On the bottom part of the oven there was a scratch all the way to the rear. I didnt notice it until I was cleaning it about three months later which is over the warranty period already. But this defect is more aesthetic than performance and the oven is still running great. My wife who doesn’t know anything about a Viking Range is totally convinced that we made the right choice. She was leery about $3900 for a range but now when she uses it she can see the difference in the way it cooks versus regular stoves. Id recommend Viking to a friend anytime.

I did a lot of research on the internet on various high-end stoves and I looked to see about the problems with repairs. I knew that Viking was having a lot of issues before it was bought out a few years ago, but I saw that they had redone a lot of the parts and re-designed them. Their newer reviews were fine, too. They were pretty similar to the other high-end stoves. So, my wife decided Viking was the one she liked the most based on the way it looked. However, there was a scratch which was fairly deep on the stove door. It was installed about a month ago and I didn’t notice until right after the installers left. I was looking at the back of the stove when they took it off the truck. So I called up the store and sent them a picture right away. They acknowledged that it was obviously a problem because its not caused by me. I suggested they just send me a door and I would replace it myself as it is easy to install. I would just send them the old one if they wanted to. But Viking wouldn’t do that for some reason. They sent me a whole new stove. We also got side trim because we have a stone countertop that didn’t have a perfectly straight edge. The side trim makes the stove look like a slide-in type range. We couldn’t use the screws to install the side trim because they stick out and we can’t fit in a normal countertop within a 30-inch distance. It was kind of odd, but it’s no big deal. We just used the side trim and laid it in there, and it worked fine. Other than those, everythings fine. My wife is happy with the Viking stove. She loves it. We like the top of the stove the most. Also, when I had a question about how to remove the lower grate, the Viking rep answered the question right away.

We thought Viking had a good reputation. We bought a brand new Viking stove oven but it was defective from the start. It has been months since we reported the issue and Viking has been looking into it. However, it has been extremely slow and unsatisfactory plus we have to keep doing the follow-up. They said that the parts came in and its gonna fix it.Viking is poorly handling our situation. We asked for this thing to be escalated weeks and months ago but it doesnt go anywhere. Weve been trying to talk to someone in quality control since they should know about the production issue and fix it. We got promises that they will get back to us but no one does that. And in the 33 years that Ive made pies with my mom, this is the only oven Ive ever made a pie where in the crust did not have to be covered by foil or an aluminum ring. There are also seven different baking modes and Ive used all of them except for one. I love the versatility and the ease of use for the gas top as well. I like having the knobs on the front too cause I hated having to reach over what I was cooking and deal with the knobs at the top or the back. I also like that its very sleek and elegant looking. There are metal knobs and theres no stupid electronic display. Its impressive, it has a well thought out design and easy to clean, too. Unbelievable, but after 3 months and some limited use, our outdoor grill burned through the light wires and short circuiting the house. We bought a home that was completely renovated three and a half years ago and the decorator and contractor chose all Viking appliances for the home. We have a wine refrigerator, regular refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, wall oven, range with a small oven, big oven, hood and stovetop. We have had a couple of issues with the big refrigerator we have. The first time, the meat or vegetable drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator section froze and ruined the vegetables, and we had someone out a couple of times to look at it. Finally, they said there was nothing they could do to fix it, so we increased the temperature for the overall refrigerator. It’s keeping the vegetables from freezing but the refrigerator is not at the suggested temperature. Also, the hinge on the bottom right of the refrigerator has gone bad and the door squeaks when it opens and closes. But I like having separate drawers. It’s a great idea as long as it works the way it’s supposed to. Over the past week, we spoke with a gal named Veronica in customer service and she was great. We would have been normally forwarded to the warranty department but they were closed, so Veronica took the initiative to go to her supervisor and we were well-taken care of. That’s why we would buy another Viking appliance. I didn’t think the squeaking would be a big deal to fix but they have to put a whole new hinge and it costs $800. Viking is coming to fix it and they’ve been great about it ‘cause we’re just outside the warranty time. Everybody at Viking has been very good so I don’t mind if things go wrong if the company takes care of it. They haven’t come to fix the refrigerator yet, but Viking is doing a great job at taking care of the customer and that’s the most important.

Viking is a good brand. Its made in the USA and we like the look and size of their refrigerators. Ours is working great so far. The temperature control is nice and the doors open and close easily. Its like a French door refrigerator, but they dont hit each other. My sister has a Sub-Zero but its doors would hit each other if they didnt close them the right way. As with ours, the doors seem to be pretty seamless, which is good. However, the freezer in our fridge is like a pull out drawer and if I pull the freezer from one side, it gets off the track a little bit. Sometimes I have to straighten it out and push it back in, which is a little weird. Also, it would be cool if there was a water dispenser inside the fridge, though Im sure Viking has that on some of their high-end refrigerators. As for the Viking dealer, their team was on-time and they answered all my questions. They were absolutely friendly and respectful as well. It was an easy experience overall.

We bought a home with an Italian Fhiaba refrigerator. We had a lot of problems with it and we had to replace it. It cannot be repaired and we only had a certain amount of money that the manufacturer had given us to purchase another refrigerator. The Viking was on sale and thats why I purchased it. It was not my first choice though. The drawers for produce, meats and cheese storage bins are so cheap and I was shocked at the interior for a Viking product. I was sad to lose my Italian refrigerator which was well-made and had beautiful interiors. I would not have bought the Viking refrigerator but it was at the right price, so I ended up with it. But would I buy another one? Absolutely not. We purchased a completely renovated home, and all the appliances were Vikings. The six-burner gas stove and the microwave are all okay, and they work great. But I would not recommend the refrigerator. When I knew I had to replace my previous refrigerator, I went onto several websites to read reviews, and very few of them were good. But my husband wasnt going to spend more money because we bought a house with a $10,000 refrigerator that ended up not working after two years. Even the plastic inside of a Sears Kenmore refrigerator is better. Viking has these soft close drawers for cheese and veggies, which are awful. I have to treat them with kid gloves, because Im afraid theyre going to break on me at any given moment. The company that owns Viking make commercial grade refrigerators and U-Line is one of their products. Its an amazing refrigerator. Why dont they use some of the same materials? Viking has been synonymous with high-end quality. But they really fell short on this one. Looks good on the outside, poor quality on the inside.

My experience with Viking has always been good. When I rebuilt a house ten years ago, I filled it with Viking stuff. My kitchen was 40 feet long, so it was cramped full of everything Viking made. And then I built another house down here in Palm Springs and filled it with Viking stuff too. The representatives at the Viking dealer were the best. Ive never seen any appliance company operate like they do. My Viking ranges quality is top notch. I like the different things I can do with it - bake, bake convection, convection. I also like the ease where I can control the flames on the stove top. Its a new generation and the flame goes way down now. In the past, it wasnt as adjustable but its really good now.

The people who repaired at our beach house in Florida did a great job and they were very nice. They got our Viking fixed. But when I spend that kind of money on appliances, I shouldnt have to have them fixed, especially two of them the day they were installed. The way the world is today, it took eight weeks to get somebody to fix them. It was not a good situation. We will not be buying any more Viking appliances, though we bought a lot in the past and they look great. We’ve been very, very disappointed with the quality of them. It has gone downhill. Weve had problems with a lot of the appliances we bought lately, starting with ones we bought for our ranch. I bought five new appliances in the last four months, and after they were installed, the oven and the dishwasher didnt work.

My refrigerator freezer was delivered defective. I just got a replacement but I am still waiting on parts for it to be adjusted by the repair guy. I had to argue with people at Viking for two to three months for me to say Im not taking this refrigerator because its cracked in one of inside framing. The local, regional manager wanted me to caulk it to fix the whole thing. But I said, Look, I paid $14000 for this freezer refrigerator. Im not doing that. After three months of just saying no, Im thankful that I finally got it. Its been frustrating and I hope I can get my part and stuff soon.

The people I dealt with in sales didn’t have all the information I needed but they were fine. It was just because I had researched it and I knew a lot more about the fridge than they did. That aside, I would advise others to make sure their measurements are right when looking into Viking refrigerators.

My fridge door fell off and nearly hit my two-year-old son; he was about two feet away. The door is heavy, probably 150 lbs, so it probably would have killed him. Whats worse is when I discovered there had been a recall, I found out that this is the new improved model where they supposedly fixed the door problem! I contacted the company and over a month later, we are still waiting to receive a new refrigerator. The door also put a big divot in the kitchen floor but we are just happy that it missed our son.

Viking has been on our radar for quite a long time and it was something that my wife wanted to buy again since our prior experience in another property. She liked the product and we had good luck with it. We purchased the refrigerator over a year ago and I’ve registered the warranty information in the last few months. I like the appearance of the stainless look to the refrigerator, the layout inside and its capacity. I like it much better than my refrigerator here at home. The product itself is excellent and the Viking dealer was great at selling it. However, the installation focus was not what we hoped for since we had some issues with it but we got that rectified. Viking vet on the dealers very carefully to make sure that they’re being represented well because installation will make or break someone’s view of the product sometimes. They have to make certain that they honor the warranty in case it’s ever needed and to stand behind their product.

My Viking range is the second one Ive had and I really like it. It holds temperature well. Its a beautiful piece of equipment. Its the best center point of my kitchen. The one thing I dont like is that if any sort of dirt or debris gets on the pilot or the starter, it can be a bit finicky. Otherwise, I love it. Somebody came to look at that pilot because I thought it might have been broken. The technician came and it needed to be cleaned. That was a good positive experience. We liked what we had heard about Viking then we have a friend that put in a Viking and we liked the setup of it. We got the built-in refrigerator and its not as deep as a regular refrigerator, which we like because things dont get lost in the back of it, but its taller. We like the door, the freezer section in the bottom, and the way that the drawers are self-closing. We can arrange them to where we have a place at the bottom that we can put platters into or a pizza box or whatever we want to. We also like the fact that everything was made out of metal. Aside from the refrigerator, we also got the French door double oven, the six burner cooktop with the griddle and thee optional griddle, the vent hood, two warming drawers, and a microwave, from Viking. We love the quality of our Viking appliances and we would recommend them highly.

When I decided to redo my kitchen, I decided to go with Viking Refrigerators to try it out. I also bought Viking range, French door oven, dishwasher. I had the fridge installed and then I had a new cabinet put in and being a first time Viking Refrigerators owner I was very disappointed when the installers pulled it away from the wall and it bent the feet underneath. We did not know it needed to be lowered. Even the contractors who do kitchens all the time did not know that it had to be lowered first.I haven’t used my refrigerator in a month. I got a brand new kitchen but I can’t use the fridge because I’m trying to determine how to get this thing fixed. I called Viking Refrigerators, they referred me to a place called High End Appliances. I called them, they came out, looked at it, and when they gave me the estimate. They were saying it was going to cost like $1,500 to fix it and the Viking Refrigerator was $10,000. I was going to call Viking Refrigerators and share with them the situation in detail. Supposedly the issue was not a manufactures defect. I don’t understand why it can’t be a part of that warranty but as far as the Viking Refrigerators repair person says through High End Appliances, it could not be covered unto warranty. I think that the customer needs to know more specifically that it if a heavy duty item ever needs to be removed it will have to be lowered, because I paid for installation through BestBuy. They put it in and they knew that I was going to get my kitchen remodeled but who was going to tell me to make sure to lower it when I move it.For a major appliance like that that costs $10,000 I would expect that there should be something in writing if this item ever needs to be removed. I think there needs to be something very bold and written so that this won’t happen to someone else again. I don’t know if that should be something that was made apparent to Viking Refrigerators owners not to move this 48 inch cabinet type fridge unless you first have it professionally lowered. It’s not normal so it was a little frustrating.

We were remodeling our home and wanted to get some built-in appliances. So, when you open it, you feel like, Im not going to fit as much stuff in there. But you do fit a lot in there. So, Im pretty pleased with it. The freezer portion makes a couple of noises. It sort of snaps and crackles and makes some little noises there that probably could be improved. But otherwise no, its great. We actually are on our second refrigerator. The first one that arrived was defective. We got a hold of Viking through the company that sold it to us. Viking was great. They sent out a new refrigerator. They came picked up the old one, and there was no problem. It took a little while, but there were some other complications probably that were at play at that time. Other than the delay, it was a smooth process.

I liked Vikings reputation with the stoves, and form and fit. However, Im disappointed with the refrigerator. We already had three service visits. We find it loud, which is a surprise to us. And it tends to ice things up in the fridge. The dealer has been responsive but they havent been able to solve the problem. They said we have to live with the icing issue. Thats by the design of the refrigerator. And that is also true of the compressor fan noise, which is, compared to the unit that we had that this replaced, its significantly louder than I would expect any in-home refrigerator to be. And especially a high-end refrigerator like Viking. For instance, for a long time it was loud enough that even the service person said, “Yes, that sounds like a failed bearing on the compressor fan.” And they came out and replaced that compressor fan. So they did that service. The original fan certainly had more of an issue. But the replacement fan is still significantly louder than the fridge that we had beforehand. If I could do it again, I wouldnt buy Viking.

The first Viking refrigerator that was delivered off of the truck was dirty. The seams were split and the logo on the front was crooked. The truck people looked it over after taking the plastic off and put it right back on the truck. They rejected it before I did. It was 10 days until I got a new one and the second one has been good so far. We like it but I have one minor complaint. I have to turn off the ice maker because if I let it fill completely, opening the freezer drawer will knock a bunch of ice on the floor. I dont use that much ice and the ice tray is oversized anyway. Our Viking microwave oven stopped working and the parts took over two weeks to come into the warranty service company. That part arrived broken (or the service man broke it) and we waited another three weeks for the part to arrive. The part was in stock according to the Viking parts rep, so that delay is not acceptable. The functioning of both the microwave and oven are fine not great (cant use timer on microwave if its heating something and its unclear when the oven has reached the desired preheat temperature). All these issues make it highly doubtful wed purchase or recommend Viking again.

I like to cook and I liked the look and feel of an industrial kitchen. Ive seen Viking ranges in other apartments. I read that they are quality stoves and ranges so I purchased one. Ive only had mine for a month and I like certain things about it. The stovetop is great. The heat and the flames are instantaneous and the igniters are quick. The temperature levels are really high. In that regard, its been good to cook on. But the oven is a big down point since its not working. Its a big part of the unit. Theres somethings wrong with the igniter. Its clicking a lot and its not getting to temperature. I spoke with somebody yesterday and the interaction was fine. I felt like I achieved what I was trying to do. But I havent heard back from anybody about making the appointment so somebody can come and look at the oven. They hire out locally. The range is under warranty but I didnt expect that a month in, I would have any work on it. I feel like I got a machine that isnt functioning. You could buy a way less expensive stove and probably have a more reliable oven. Overall, I have a beautiful looking range that performs well on the top but in regard to the oven not working, its not good for cooking.

We heard good things about the quality of Viking Refrigerators as we have friends that have the product. Also, Im the type that wants everything to match and be all from the same manufacturer. When we were redoing the kitchen and updating everything, we wanted to check out all of Vikings appliances. The team at the Viking dealer was very helpful and accommodating. We found a great bundle wherein if we got the refrigerator and the range, we would get a dishwasher that was deeply discounted or free. Since getting our Viking Refrigerator, Ive liked the control panel where I can separate my temperatures. However, there was a piece that wasnt allowing the bottom drawer to close. Within a day of calling to schedule the repair, someone was out to look at the refrigerator but then the part took over a month. Their guy came this morning and was repairing the piece. He said that the piece was not even necessary and it was a piece that could create the same problem later on. It feels like theres some flaw in that design. I saw Viking in other peoples home and Ive heard about it before. I liked the look or their design. My builder bought the Viking refrigerator when I moved to the new construction five years ago. The refrigerator part is okay. I like the shelving and the refrigerator is very spacious. The look of the refrigerator looks great and looks very modern. Functional-wise, its a big refrigerator and it has a lot of space, but other than that, its just a refrigerator. Also, I had an issue with the freezer recently. It has a drain pipe to a pan underneath it to drain water. The pipe got blocked and there was icing there. I had the repair service to repair it. I learned from the service guy that I need to do maintenance every year to move the refrigerator out and then its back to prevent any blockage. I had a bit of interaction with the vendor and their service was okay, although it will be helpful if the appliance dealer could have a stronger service department.I have about everything from Viking. I also have a dishwasher, microwave, range, and the hood above the range, but the dishwasher has many problems. It has been serviced by the technician three or four times already. When I had the dishwasher problem, I called the service company and it took seven to 10 days for them to show up. Sometimes I had to wait for a long time for them to show up. I may not want to buy Viking at all because although I had good experience with the refrigerator and everything else, if one has a problem, I may have to buy another different set. I need to have matching appliances. Viking has to take care of everything including the one that I have a bad experience with, the dishwasher.

Before the start of our home construction, we asked our developer what appliances theyre going to have. They mentioned they were going to do a Viking Range. I did a bit of research and I thought the Viking would be sufficient. However, we were concerned with the first problem that we had. We had the range on August 28 and we noticed around Thanksgiving that the pilot light struggles into lighting when the oven would go out. It would make a lot of clicking sounds, and surely thereafter, it went out. Unfortunately, we didn’t fill out the warranty certificate at that time. We just moved into our new home. So immediately, we filled out the warranty and called Viking and their customer service team was extremely helpful. Their rep immediately put in the claim to the local service vendor. But the local service vendor was really, really slow. One, their availability to even come out here and look at the range, and then from that moment they identified the problem, they said they needed a new part and we didn’t hear anything from them for a week. We called back to ask the status of the new part, and they said that it’s still in order. At that point, I called Viking and asked if they can help and they expedited the process on their end. It took about a month and a half to get our range from the time it went out to the time that it was operational again. I did not fault Viking because they were very responsive. It was the local service providers which resulted in the delays. Overall, Viking is a good quality and very durable appliance.

All my appliances are very personal and I have to like the way they feel.Everything has been good with my fridge but I havent quite figured out how to work the panel on the door as far as changing the temperature and I havent really investigated it as far as the manual goes. But it stays cold. I like that it doesn’t show a lot of fingerprints.I do use a cleaner on it, but it stays on it. It keeps the fridge looking good for quite awhile. When we ordered it, it had the other grill on the bottom of it but when they delivered it it had the solid tray on the bottom. I think it was new change but I like it. Also I do like the separate compartments in the freezer. Theres a couple of shallow ones and the bigger one on the bottom.I love my Viking refrigerator. I would get another one. Some people think youre going to get Viking just because of the name but I did try to have an open mind when I went to purchase my refrigerator and checked out another one.
