What Should I Look for When Buying an Oven
Posted On: June 21, 2021

Are you in the market for a new oven? With so many options to choose from, it can be hard to decide which one to buy. Here are a few things to look for when purchasing an oven.

  1. Size: The size of your oven is one of the essential factors when looking in the market for an oven. A small oven is better for when you're cooking for yourself and one other person. Whereas a larger oven about 70 cms is perfect for a family.
  2. Gas v.s. Electric: If your home is already equipped and fitted for a gas oven, then you're probably going to stick with a gas oven. But for those thinking about making the switch, there are some differences between gas and electricity. Heat in an electric oven is evenly distributed, making cooking a lot quicker. Heat in a gas range is different. The top rack is warmer than the lower rack, which helps when cooking meals.
  3. Price: How much you want to spend on an oven depends on what you are looking for. If you want something that simply cooks, you will spend less when compared to a range that cooks, self cleans and other added features.
  4. Cost to run: While running an oven isn’t as expensive as some might find if you’re looking to save money on your energy bill, going with a gas range is the best way to save money.
