We purchased a Dacor 30 Heritage Gas range and installed it in early Oct 2020. Within a day a gas leak from the back of the range was identified by our gas contractor. Dacor repaired it quickly (12 hours). I was impressed (though concerned it already had an issue). In December 2020 I noticed that the oven indicator light was not coming on. I contacted customer service and despite indicating that there was a problem, was simply told what the light was for. Then, in February 2021 (under 5 months after installation) the oven stopped working. The service technician indicated it was an electrical issue and the gas would not ignite. It has now been over two weeks and we still do not have it repaired nor any indication of when it will be repaired. We spent $5200 on this range. I do not recommend Dacor.

This is the second time I have purchased these appliances and unfortunately each one has been a great disappointment. I have spent enough in repair bills to almost purchase a warming drawer. Each one shuts down when the self clean button is turned on, and then I have to call a repairman out to recalibrate the oven to work each time I try to use the self clean. I was told by the last repairman that the life of the oven is greatly shortened if you the self clean mode. If this is the case, either fix it or take out this mode. After I had the oven about a year the oven door glass blew out, and this had to be replaced. The temperature in the oven is very unreliable in different areas of the oven and browns more on one side than the other... For the high end cost of these ovens, I would just as soon have a basic oven that works and does not go out every few months. What a waste of money I consider Dacor to be, and will never recommend it to anyone I know. I am in the personal shopping business and have my own company, but will tell my clients to be very aware of the high cost/low performance of Dacor products... On a scale of 1 to 10, Dacor gets a 1.

Dacor Double Oven Model D0230 - I have had my oven since November 2011. I purchased an extended warranty at the time of buying the oven. Right after it was installed, I called and said they needed to come and adjust the temperature control. It was off at least 50 degrees. It never held the correct temperature. Since July, we have had to replace 2 relay boards, two other parts that should take care of erratic temperature. Then I noticed the gasket was turning black in the corner and my glass pack in the window was steaming up and not clearing. The extended warranty would not cover the glass replacement and I was charged $126. They said it was cosmetic, but this was so bad that I couldnt see through half the glass. The steam stained the glass and you could not clean it, because it was inside two pieces of glass. Do not buy a Dacor oven. In 38 months I have so many repairs that I have lost track.

I bought a Dacor appliance package for a new custom home which costs over $30K+. Every single piece of appliance is defective. I am OK as long as Dacor can fix or address the issues but it takes them several visits, put the appliance out of order and fixing it does not happen any earlier than 8-10 Weeks. Imagine you living with a fridge, microwave, range and oven for 10+ weeks. The column freezer stops making ice. I call for service and tech informs the lever was jam and he fixed it. Wait 48 hours. After 48 hours still no ice. Another call and after a wait of 3 weeks another visit and diagnose need new part. Wait for part 4+ weeks and another 3+ weeks for replacement. Fridge does not cool and maintains temp 45 degree+. Service tech showed up 3 times and promised it is fixed. Have thrown out thousands of dollars worth food. To date I dont have it fixed. Waiting for a part, tech not available scheduling issues etc. To date I have been out of fridge (8/12/2021) 9 weeks from I made the first call. Currently I have a tech scheduled for 9/1/21.This is not the end. Microwave will run normally and wont heat the food. After several phone call and waiting they figured the door pin was not connecting properly and need parts to fix. After 10+ MONTHS it looks like it is fixed. The range control panel is hanging from underneath and no one seems to care to fix it. Every time I call they tell me its normal. I believe Dacor has not QA/QC in place prior to shipping the appliances to customer. Worst experience ever. If you need more details do not hesitate to call me on **. I hope you run away from Dacor. Dont even consider this option. I have a track of all phone call and email and timeline with Dacor service. I am planning to file a lawsuit and recoup some of the costs and losses.

We bought this oven and had it installed a month ago. Id love to love it, but unfortunately I dont even like it. Immediately after installation I noticed the touchpad for the bottom oven didnt work. I called Dacor and spent quite a bit of time while someone did the standard is the power on run through. I was told someone would have to call me back in the morning, at 9 am. The next day at 10 am having not heard a word, I called back. I was given the option to be called back (you wont lose your place, and our first rep...) Great! Nope. Four hours later still nothing. I called back again. Someone answered quickly and after a short call arranged for a service person to come out in a few days.Fast forward a few days and the serviceman arrives. Hes clearly never seen this kind of oven. He calls Dacor and talks to their troubleshooting department. They decide the motherboard is bad and reorder. Well, its been 10 days. *crickets*. There is no sense of urgency... In fact nobody even seems to care that my $7500.00 oven doesnt work and the microwave literally cant even pop popcorn. I would expect the company to rush delivery of the part. If need be replace the whole oven and figure out what is wrong with the motherboard on your own time. What I didnt expect is for literally everyone involved in the process of choosing and buying the appliance to not be able to find a solution. I give my new oven 1 star out of 10, because it looks nice. Id rather have an oven that doesnt have a smart feature and actually works. FAIL Dacor.

I just had an appliance repair company come out to let me know what is wrong with my Dacor Stove door, since it wont close. He said the hinges are needing to be replaced. He said that he replaces these hinges on Dacor stoves ALL THE TIME and that the company really needs to file a recall on these hinges and/or reimburse consumers who have these installed. He said these should not go bad like they do. That this is poor manufacturing on Dacors part and they are not being held accountable. I agree 100%. It is going to cost me with labor and parts almost $ 400.00 to replace these hinges that should not go bad with the age of the stove. Thanks.

If this is the case, Dacor should be proactive and reaching out to consumers under warranty to get this fixed instead of waiting for complaints. Interior trim kit is not included in purchase price which is ridiculous for the price of this fridge. Would not recommend!

We purchased a home with brand new Dacor appliances. Within 1 year, the relay board had to be replaced. One year later, the relay board has to be replaced again. Its $600 each time for parts and labor... The part alone costs $500. The company does not warranty the relay board. At this point, we should have purchased a new wall oven. They claim these are superior appliances. Our gas stove top works well, but the wall oven and refrigerator have been nothing but problematic. We will never purchase this brand again.

Purchased Dacor Renaissance wall oven in July 2015, Model RNO130S. After less than a year and a half, the cooking temperature began to fail. For instance, set to bake at 425 degrees, the oven would appear to heat properly, but tried and true recipes would be pasty and uncooked at the expected time. I inserted an oven thermometer inside to test and found an erratic pattern of oven heating up properly to 425 but then sometimes dropping back to about 350 during cook time and refusing to ever reach 425 again. ABT repairman adjusted temperature calibration but refused to troubleshoot any further. Just ruined another dinner. Thanks Dacor and ABT for your unreliable product and poor service.

Im reading all these reviews and my story mirrors them all... I have actually contacted a lawyer and am considering either a lawsuit or going to small claims court because, at this point, its cheaper than continuing with repairs every other year. Has no one else considered a lawsuit under your states lemon law? Appliances are usually covered. I purchased the MORD230 wall oven in 2008... It was purchased as a second oven to my 6-burner Wolfe to cook a turkey or roast during the holidays. It has been used no more than 24 times... I have gone through 2 control panels and am now having glitches with the third. After doing a self clean recently the whole heating element blew - it will not heat at all. I am able to enter the temp but the oven just runs and runs and never heats. I have called Dacor furious for how many times this thing has broken in relation to how many its been used... They have offered parts at a reduced rate but I am not sinking another dollar in this oven on labor and parts only for it to break again. I asked for my money back and told them to come and get the piece of garbage they sold me. Do yourself a favor and buy a Wolfe... It works beautifully... My only problem was the cast iron grates rusted a bit recently... I called their customer service and was on the phone for no more than 5 minutes and they overnighted me a whole new set no questions asked! Dacor customer service has been a nightmare - so much back and forth... I tell everyone I know... DO NOT buy Dacor!!!

I have a Dacor 27 inch wall (model EOR) oven which I bought 2 years ago, along with a micro and a warming drawer. Since then, the control panel has been replaced twice. Both times because, after using the timer mode, the beeper would come on at all hours of the day and night. In both instances, I had to cut the power to the oven until the replacement part arrived. I am presently waiting for the third panel to arrive. Today I needed to bake something, so I turned the power to the oven back on. Now it will only function at 350 degrees and only in the bake mode. No other numbers can be put in and nothing happens when I select convection. So far Dacor has absorbed the cost of the parts and repairs, but that does not mitigate the hassle of having to wait upwards of 2 months for a part each time this happens.

DCT305SNGH - I have owned this stove for about 3 years already. From the very beginning it has been trouble. The lights that turn on when a burner is on broke immediately. The place where the gas comes out and ignites is black and hard to clean. The grates are rusty, the finish has come off. The indicator knobs dont reflect what is happening in other words if it is on the lowest setting you dont have any indicator marking. It is hard to clean and scratches very easily. I have had the service person out about 5 times until they decided to send me many new parts. These arent any better. It is just a bad product. Basically the warranty is useless if you keep calling for the same issue. They say, This is the last time we will fix this issue. Sadly I always heard this was a great company and I waited 7 years to save up for this stove and boom rotten appliance.

We spent close to 30K in Dacor appliances and have been paying for repairs almost yearly. Most recently last year around March 2015 we spent $1800.00 in repairs for the refrigerator. It is a long weekend and we planned a family BBQ and had to throw away all my marinated meats and salads. This is unacceptable. When you spend thousands of dollars in appliances you dont expect to have these types of problems. DO NOT BUY DACOR APPLIANCES. IT IS A RIPOFF.

Purchased Dacor Wall Oven EO130SCH in 2011. Rarely used, so never used the self cleaning function. Occasionally wipe with microfiber cloth, eco-friendly cleaners like vinegar and Bon Ami and elbow grease. First problem in 2017 when the oven would not heat up, just before I had guests coming to stay with us. Dacor repair personnel could not make it out for a few weeks, so repaired the issue myself by resetting the thermostat with some creativity and effort. Next problem in 2018 with a U43 relay board error. Can use it for a while if turn off the power to the fuse box for a while, but in 2019 it also started making a clicking noise, and basically not functioning right before I needed it for a party. Cant replace the relay board (which costs more than $300 for the part itself) without pulling out the oven. But why is the relay board failing so quickly? Is there a fan cooling issue? Have talked to Dacor. Poorly designed, poor quality. I would never recommend Dacor.

We purchased this range after remodeling our kitchen. We opted for the Dacor because of the deep oven that the other high end ovens did not have. I am an avid baker so this was a plus. After a year and half the oven stopped working, it was not getting hot. Thankfully is was still under warranty and it was repaired. The technician determined it was the oven control thermostat that was not working. Fast forward two years and again the same problem, along with the right front burner now also not working. And wouldnt you know it, the warranty is expired. Another technician came out again and stated to fixed the two problems it would be approx $250.00 just for labor and not including parts. CRAZY INSANE!!! If we would have known all the problems and we would have purchased either a Wolf, a Thermador or even a Monogram. How can so many issues and problems be happening with an range that is only 4 years old? Especially one that costs over $6000. It has to be a lemon or poorly manufactured. Ive contacted Dacor and was told they need to review my file to make a determination on what they want to do. REALLY, you dont need to be a rocket scientist to know there is a problem. Theres lemon laws for cars, why not appliances????

We have a Dacor Epicure 36 six burner range. It has been a regular source of trouble since it was installed as part of a kitchen remodel in 2006. The igniter for the broiler went out 18-24 months after we got the oven. A year or so after that the weld that holds the bottom oven rack bracket to the oven itself popped loose making it impossible to use the lowest rack position in the oven. Last year the circuit board that controls, among other things, turning the bottom oven element on stopped working. Not only is the board itself quite expensive, but it is buried deep under the top of the stove taking lots of expensive hours of repair time to remove and replace. And now the burner igniters have begun to over spark (e.g., continue to click long after the burner has been lit, burners sparking that have not been turned on). The repairman tells me that is a different circuit board so we could be heading to another $500 or so in repair bills or perhaps a trip to the dump and a much cheaper replacement range. We have had other Dacor equipment (cooktop, wall oven, warming drawer) and have not had a problem with any of them. But given our experience with the Epicure I cant imagine ever buying another.

We equipped a luxury kitchen with Dacor appliances. Had to replace the 60 inch dual fuel range after 8 years - use the same brand simply to match. Big mistake. Several repairs already. Also installed two under the counter warming drawers - nothing but problems and repair expense. Now we need a small $25 part - a cooling fan with motor that is faulty. Was informed the part is no longer available - customer service told me well, it is 10 years old. Really? We now have to rebuild part of the kitchen cabinetry and spend several thousand to replace two warming drawers? They also said the company was too small to keep parts available for a long period of time. Unbelievable! I will never buy Dacor appliances again.

Two years ago, we redid our total kitchen at considerable expense. All of the appliances we replaced were made by Dacor. They included: 1) a 36-inch refrigerator model EF 36/wf; 2) a dual wall oven, model EO230SCH; 3) a gas cook top, Model RGC304; 4) a dishwasher, ModelEDWH24S and; 5) a range hood, ModelEH3012SCH. The problems started within a two months of installation. The refrigerator stopped running due to a relay failure and a compressor problem; both were replaced by Dacor at no cost to us. It was inconvenient but not costly. A short time later, the lower wall oven stopped working as well as the lights in both ovens. This required the replacement of the main control panel (control circuit board). Dacor paid to have it repaired. The clock does not keep accurate time and gains about an hour a day. We decided to leave it well enough alone and did not have it fixed. After the one-year warranty expired, the lower oven quit again. This time, it had to be removed from the wall and an exhaust fan in the lower oven was defective and had to be replaced. Dacor’s initial response was it was out of warranty, so it was up to me to cover repairs. They eventually agreed to supply the part (about $90) but we had to spend several hundred dollars to install. Now, the lower oven takes an extremely long time to heat up, and again we decided to leave it well enough alone. Recently, there was a loud flash in the vent hood; one of the bulbs apparently burned out. My wife tried to turn off the lights in the hood but the light switch apparently blew when the light went and could not turn them off. After a couple of burned fingers and a melted bulb removal tool, I managed to get the other bulb out. A call to Dacor got the usual out of warranty response. I called the local Dacor authorized service rep. He looked at the problem ($95) and said he would have to call Dacor. After he talked to Dacor, they called me and said they would send a replacement control board but would not pay for the service calls. The service company said the next service call would be $195. One light bulb burned out: cost $290. I suspect that every hood unit that Dacor made with this control board is also defective. We have had to replace the halogen bulbs with great regularity. We have halogen bulbs in our boat that have lasted at least 15 years. There was another complaint on this board that had a similar problem with the vent hood. He decided to fix it himself. He is an Electrical Engineer his comments are worth reading and speak to the inadequate design of this unit. It is a shame that the Dacor appliances appear to be near the bottom in terms of reliability. Consumer Reports that their gas cook tops appear to be the least reliable. It looks like I have something to look forward to. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Dacor to anyone. In fact, I would recommend that they not purchase any Dacor product that does not have a full multi-year warranty.

This week Dacor installed my 2nd replacement gas range. I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago and chose Dacor because I had a great experience with their appliances in the past, had their oven and stove in my kitchen for 15+ years and never had a problem. With the first new range, the oven started to automatically shut off due to excess heat escape, so the safety feature would kick in and shut the system down, in addition the knobs would become very hot even when the over was used briefly, 12-15 minutes. I was very impressed and happy with the customer service through Dacor, they immediately gave me a brand new over. Exactly another year, the new oven had the same problem, door begins to not hinge properly and heat begins escape, knobs get dangerously hot. This week Dacor very kindly, replaced my appliance with the new Dacor Renaissance 36. I used the oven for 12 minutes on 400 and the entire exterior is dangerously hot. I do not have any children, however, if I did I would be terrified that they could seriously injure themselves. The exterior of an oven should not become hot like this. Has anyone else had this issue with Dacor? I feel they have been very responsive with regards to customer service however I want an appliance that is safe.

Ovens have been a nightmare. Dacor would not honor warranty 7 days after it expired. Had no less than a dozen service calls in first 3 years. Ovens conveniently have problems around holidays. Example: lower oven quit working two days before this Thanksgiving - last week! Paid a high price to get Dacor and have paid thousands and spent countless hours on service calls since. Am totally dissatisfied with Dacor products and the companys refusal to stand behind its product. I tell everyone who is contemplating Dacor not to. I purchased a Dacor Double Oven 5 years ago. It is a beautiful design, but unfortunately a piece of junk. Over the 5 years I have had the oven, I have had service technicians repair the oven on 7 different occasions. Unfortunately, my oven is not out of warranty and has failed once again. Today was my 8th attempt at service and the service technician could not get the oven working. I have called Dacor, pleading with them to stand behind their product and to replace this useless piece of equipment. I continue to get L22 error codes, and the main circuit board had been replaced twice. After persistently calling Dacor’s customer service, they finally said they would sell me a new oven at a discounted price to the tune of $4800 plus tax, shipping and installation. I ask myself, why would I want to buy another piece of junk? If Dacor wont stand behind their products, perhaps someone should initiate a class action suit against them.

Talked into spending $4700 on a wall oven on the recommendation of an appliance retailer. My concern was even baking and reliability. Was told I would be very happy as Dacor was best on the market. Well long story short, it never cooked evenly and after 8 years quit working. Had to lug the heavy oven to the city to an approved service provider. They thought it was the relay board (told the brains of the oven). Service provider changed several things (sensors, board and whatever else). Nothing solved problem. Phoned me and said I was looking at minimum $2000 and up. He threw oven in garbage. We didn’t even send the gas money to bring the dud home.Thought it should last longer than 8 years. I phoned Dacor. They wanted to know exactly what the problem and diagnosis was so I told them to phone the Service Provider. Said they would but I had to email copy of receipt which I did. We chose DACOR (8-burner double oven top of the line ERD60S06CH/LP) in 2006, new construction because we disliked the signature blue interior of another luxury brand. Last October I detected a gas leak from one of the burners. The authorized repair company was contacted, and the entire unit - all 8 burners and both ovens were out of commission while we waited for the replacement part. Six weeks later the repair guy returned with the wrong part. We had to wait an additional month for the repair guy to return. Apparently, not important that people might want to cook and bake before the Holidays! After the new valve was replaced the oven light began to turn on when any of the gas valves on the defective side was turned on. I write this review 8 months into the problem. I can fix for $700 by ordering a new control panel. I wish I had read these reviews earlier. I overheard the tech say that there was electrical interference and that the wires need to be insulated to stop the oven light from turning on and off. I am so FED up with both the Dacor California head office not caring and the horrible authorized service company. I will take this unit apart myself and fix it. DACOR IS GARBAGE. Go with Sub-Zero, Miele and forget this Brand. DACOR: Dont Accept Crap Or Rubbish! Made in America? Shame on you. No problems with 4 Sub-Zero fridges, or 4 Miele dishwasher the same age.

Called Dacor support to acquire part number for a glass top for repair - obtained part number #701751 superseded by #702285, BUT was informed that the part had been discontinued and is no longer being manufactured or kept in stock. No other advice was given other than to discard the entire $6000 range. Multiple phone calls with service.I asked for a listing of third party part distributors and was referred to four distributors on the Dacor public website and given no other info. I called all web-based third-party distributors I could find in USA and Canada to see if anyone had the part in stock, with no luck. I contacted two technicians to see if they would be able to obtain the part through their channels, with no luck. I am an engineer, so I spent some time pouring over technical manuals trying to find a solution to replace the entire induction range cooktop assembly (top part of the range) with a later model, and although its possible, Dacor would not provide the ability to purchase an RNR30NI range cooktop assembly that could be fit into the existing housing on top of the range. The convection oven is completely fine, and I cannot believe that Dacor has given me no other option but to pitch a six-year-old $6000 range because they stopped manufacturing one fragile part made of glass. I would imagine that many consumers may be in the same position as I, as these cooktops are breakable, and accidents happen. I have reached out to Dacor support desk numerous times without resolution, and I am at my wits end with a $6000 boat anchor in my kitchen. What a waste of money! Poorly done Dacor!I would like Dacor to provide me with some sort of solution whether it be the part required to fix my induction cooktop, or a replacement Induction Range with convection oven, or reimbursement of the purchase price so I can obtain a replacement on my own. If I am not able to find a solution to repair my range, I will never buy from Dacor again! Dacor will discontinue easily broken parts without warning! You may spend thousands of dollars and not be able to repair your appliance after warranty expires!

The Dacor dishwasher had problems engaging and activating the cycle. We finally had enough and purchased a Bosch dishwasher even though the rest of our kitchen is Dacor. The new Dacor was $1600+ and the reviews on all their dishwashers since 2007 are one out of five stars. Dacor knows there is a problem and wont rectify it with the consumer. An amiable young man called from Dacor. He stated he would help me on any future problem with the other appliances. Why irritate the ** out of Dacor consumers when your company has had a history of irate consumers, specifically regarding the dishwasher. This certainly doesnt increase sales and only angers the base.

I built my home in 2003 and installed a Dacor 30 wall oven. After several years of poor performance, we started to get an error message. Dacor suggested replacing a board for $300. That didnt work so they had me replace another $300 board. That didnt work so they told me I needed a new front panel and it would run about $1,000. That board is on back order and they dont have a replacement date. Thinking that its bad business to sink $1600 into a troubled product that has terrible reviews on the internet. We found out that once you go with Dacor, you need to stay with Dacor due to an unusual, nonstandard size.Thinking that Dacor has improved their product we ordered a brand new $3,000 Dacor RO130 30 wall oven. It arrived promptly and I removed the defective $3,000 oven and put in the brand new $3,000 Dacor RO130 oven. What I got was a dead brick. The Dacor customer service has been awful, and will not allow me to talk to anyone in their technical side. The oven is getting power. Dacor customer service wouldnt help me unless I could prove that the unit was getting power. So I had to get an electrician in to prove that I had properly wired the 4 cords that came off the original defective Dacor wall oven. Get service help? No chance. I live 100 miles from Seattle and no one wants to work on Dacor. So here I sit with a $3,000 brick. No service and Dacor has no clue on how they will service this wonderful $3,000 RO130 30 wall oven that is an out of box failure. I dont see how a company that has this bad of a product, two generations of defective ovens, bad customer service, reluctance from the repair community to work on their products will be in business much longer. If you are considering Dacor appliances, consider the problems that I am having. The nonstandard size of their ovens will lock you into future purchases to replace their products that dont last 10 years.

Dacor double oven range turns off by itself while baking - Disappointed in Dacor, especially today. Thanksgiving 2016: baking turkey. Sill baking turkey. I dont know when the oven decided to switch off this time, but I have an uncooked turkey and guests waiting. The oven has done this before, but because it was new I thought it was user error. Nope, the damn oven mysteriously turns off on its own. Incredibly irritated with Dacor. The range hood we also purchased is a joke. We remodeled our kitchen 1 year ago and wanted quality appliances. Bad move. Save your money, folks. Save your money.UPDATED ON 03/10/2017: Dacor sent a company out to fix the broken new oven. Oven still cannot hold its temperature (It takes FOREVER to heat then loses its heat while still showing a high temp). This time I have a recording on what happens when the oven automatically switches off. Disappointing when we spent nearly $10,000 in Dacor appliances for a kitchen remodel. DACOR, please have a rep contact me!!! Still waiting to hear back!!!

In 2013 we remodel our kitchen. I need a 30" stove and Dacor seem the right fit. I had problem with the igniter burning on that stove and some metal warp as well. They replaced the stove in 2015. I smell gas every time I turn oven on. Last Thanksgiving 2019 the stove stop working. I was told the igniter had burned out and had it replaced. I had repairman come twice because of smell and end January 2020 the stove stop working again. The repairman told me that a jet burner assembly was never installed this is why I smell gas after it is turn on. ** They said they will order the part. It's back order So I contact Dacor. First they told me it's back order then give me a supplier. If it was never installed in the unit shouldn't Dacor take care of it and soon.

We were incredibly disappointed, not only with the range but with the customer service from Dacor. We purchased this range in January 2016 and here we are in July with what is basically a pan holder sitting uselessly in our kitchen. Problems started immediately. The first time I used the oven, it locked with the cooking food inside. It turned out that the thermostats on both ovens were so out of whack that the oven temperature reached self-cleaning mode levels so the ovens locked with the food inside! We had both thermostats replaced twice and still had the same problem. Eventually, the thermostats were calibrated, but still within a range. In addition, the switch for the convection oven just stopped working. After 6 months of trying to deal with this problem, we will be returning the range and replacing it with a different brand. At no point did Dacor offer to exchange the range, they simply kept sending a repair person.

I purchased a Dacor refrigerator. I needed to order filters. I called Dacor and ordered paying $178 plus a $29 2nd day shipping. They sent the wrong filters. The invoice is right. Outside box is right but inside were two Whirlpool filters. I called and asked them to send return label to ship back and to send the right filters. Deidra, the manager in customer service, said No, you must return those filters and yes, you were sent the wrong filters. They will come back into our warehouse and we will then send out your new filters. I said I paid 2nd day because I needed them now. She suggested me paying for two more. Whatever. I told her to send return label and I will order somewhere else. I wish I would have seen 226 consumer complaints before ever ordering anything from them.

Oh how I wish I never bought a Dacor! It has been nothing but problems. I figured I bought a lemon but after reading other reviews its just not a good product with not very good customer service either. I have had repairs every year, and even after repairs it still isnt functioning as it should. The first problem I had was the whole glass window blew out during baking, which seems to me is a huge liability. The company said that shouldnt happen but is out of warranty and would give me a discount on the glass. I thought that was better than nothing but then 6 months later the relay went out, then baking temps were all over the place in the oven so they said I needed a new motherboard and they said both ovens needed it. So those were repaired. Oh ya and the light in the bigger oven hasnt worked past the first year even after having the light changed and some electrical stuff done on it. Then I had the bulbs changed due to irregular oven temps. The temps are still all over the place to this day.The back right corner gets too dark. The front left doesnt brown and is a lower temp. Now Im having problems with the oven turning off during baking and when using broil in the small oven it causes the large ovens probe alarm to go on and offer at least for an hour. Dacor didnt help me with anything past the glass and its only been 7 months since the new motherboards were put in. I cant afford to buy a new oven at this time and so I only use the small oven mainly since the larger has so many problems. Do yourself a favor and never buy a Dacor!

Epicure Range, wall oven, microwave and fridge - When remodeling our kitchen in 2010, an appliance salesperson gave us a good deal on the entire set. We spent $20k on the Dacor appliances. BIG MISTAKE! Do not ever buy anything Dacor. We have issues with every single one. Where do I start? The ovens have gone out three times now and I have had to replace the main panel, now it will not heat at all. The refrigerator 42 built-in is a big piece of crap! We have had it serviced 4-times for everything. The entire fridge freezes over due to a design flaw. The fan in the freezer completely ices over. The ice door broke. The crushed ice broke. The plastic door for the butter broke. The shelves broke. The microwave has had issues and has had to be fixed. The oven temps were wrong. Fixed those myself thanks to YouTube. When talking to the service guy he said that these are cheap appliances with the Dacor badge, so you have to spend big bucks to buy them and big bucks to repair! Do yourself a favor and if you are thinking of Dacor run! I contacted Dacor and they are even worse to deal with. They did not care that their appliances are very unreliable. Never received a return call, email, or even a letter.

The built in column pairing is my favorite with all stainless steel interior, tempered glass, and LED lighting that WOWs anyone who opens the door. From the beginning, August 1997, 17 years ago, I was not able to use my oven after self-cleaning. The problem was never resolved after countless service calls totaling over $1500. Aside from the cost, I was inconvenienced every time I cleaned my oven, as I was not able to use it until it was serviced, about a two week wait. I contacted Dacor early on and they reluctantly agreed to extend my warranty for a year. They did nothing beyond that, and my oven still shuts down after self-cleaning, which I hesitate to do at all, until it is beyond needing cleaning! The circuit board was replaced and recently the cooling fan was changed, but....no luck. Buying a new oven is not an alternative, as the oven performs well in every other way and I simply cannot afford one. I cannot believe a company of such status is not interested in satisfying its customers.

My wife and I purchased a new Dacor dishwasher, new Dacor range and new Dacor microwave oven. Unfortunately, the dishwasher never worked and were now going through the process of getting the unit repaired. A repair technician was sent out and discovered a new CPU was needed. Then once the CPU was installed, a new circulatory pump was needed. And finally, once the circulatory pump can in, the unit still doesnt work. Weve had the technician in four separate times (installation, tech inspection, CPU install, and circulatory install) and each visit is approximately one week between visits. Yes, were now going on four weeks without a dishwasher that we paid for. Beyond that, someone needs to be home each time they visit. So now Im without a dishwasher for four weeks and I have to take four days off of work so a technician cannot fix my dishwasher. When I called Dacor customer service and asked for a temporary unit until mine is fixed, they simply stated we dont do that. Dacor may be a premium appliance manufacturer but they do not have a premium customer service department. So buyer beware, if your unit has any problems Dacor will not rush, hurry or try to accommodate you. Im sure the unit will eventually get fixed but after a month of waiting, I believe Ive earned the right to warn others about Dacors business practices. We purchased the unit from Pacific Sales in Corona, CA. When we asked Pacific Sales for assistance they said it was a Dacor issue and refused to assist us. These two businesses will no longer receive my patronage.

After less than a year after installation the oven continues to operate poorly. Its been recalibrate twice and a new control board installed. Did I mention the board had burned components? It still does not operate properly. Its at least 25 degrees off. Everything takes way longer to cook than it should. Thanksgiving was 2 hours late. Christmas was the same. Entertaining during the holidays, embarrassing. Now Dacor wants pictures to prove to truly see how poorly the oven is operating. I thought I bought a quality product but I was wrong. This is just following suit with the Dacor refrigerator I purchased and was replace months later.

The problem started with our refrigerator unit when it was still in the first year of a 2-year warranty. We have had over 9 service calls for various problems; we had to replace the circuit board, switch and the pan twice. The warranty runs out soon. After five unanswered calls to the customer service number, we were finally able to get through; not that it made a difference. Their response was, “We apologize, but there is nothing we can do?” Sound familiar? Dacor refuses to extend the warranty even though the problems seem to be bad design, parts and customer service. Dacor says when (not if) you need another repair, well work with you. Yipee! We get to work with them some more and pay for the privilege. Dont make the same mistake we did. We will never buy a Dacor product again.

I replaced my Thermador Wall ovens with Dacor because the size and I would have to do less retro-fitting of my cabinetry, this was a grave mistake. Here are the issues with Dacor.1. The high heat sensor trips and you need to call a service professional to have it reset. This gets very expensive. I have tripped mine three times, once baking a cake at 350 degrees, once during self-cleaning and another during normal cooking. The Dacor Service Help said this was a common problem because the heat sensor is located near to the touch panel.2. The oven vents from the bottom of the unit into the room heating my kitchen.3. The glass window does not seal so I have stains in-between the panes of glass. Not very attractive to stare at large drip stains.4. It takes an exceptionally long time to pre-heat oven and convection mode even longer.5. The temperature cycles through and does not maintain its cooking temperature causing underdone results and longer cooking times. This is especially challenging when cooking roasts and large turkeys because they may take up to an hour longer than expected.Overall, I do not recommend this product.

We purchased a complete kitchen with Dacor Modernist stainless steel look. It has been a complete disaster since install day. The first week the Dishwasher flooded my kitchen causing water damage to my brand new kitchen cabinets. There was a seal issue. My ice machine has been worked on 6 or more times. They have replace every part in it and still doesnt make ice or if it does it freezes in to one big block of ice. My microwave combo oven just broke again today with same error code as last time. They had to replace both motherboard in the oven and microwave. Tomorrow they are coming because my dishwasher never completes a cycle. It shuts off at 16 min left. I have been asking for replacement units or better yet take it all back...I would not recommend Dacor espcially how much we paid... over 30,000.

Got a great online deal on Dacor LP gas range. Was new but had dinged side panel according to store. Couldnt see the ding in photos and it would be hidden against cabinets anyway. Range is finally delivered and is new as advertised. Works great for a few days but then the oven wont hold temperature and then wont light. This is when the nightmare begins. Samsung now owns Dacor and getting to the right people to make a warranty claim is insanely difficult. After making the repair claim we get notified that there is no warranty coverage for service as this was not a new unit. Pardon me but we have the sales receipt showing that it is with full factory warranty. They finally agree to accommodate us and then repeatedly cancel repair tickets. After many calls to fix this, they now tell us that no service center will come to repair the range! They offered a refund minus some sort of discount based on a stove being used for a period of time. Oven stopped working a week into having it and they want to DISCOUNT a refund! Made BBB complaint and their response was they would have someone reach out to the customer. Today they did that and we are still at no resolution. Told them they have 3 options, fix the range, replace the range or refund us completely and I will make arrangements to fix the oven. They say there are no ranges in inventory to replace this one with with. No one inside the US will call or reach out to fix this fiasco and we are left with someone that is not allowed to make decisions that speaks english as a second language. Sad thing is that its a basic range that at first seemed to be a great design and would be great to have in our kitchen. Its now endless headaches because Dacor refuses to step up and remedy a defective oven part with a service call from someone that would require likely higher pay than their network providers.

One year ago I completely changed out all appliances in my kitchen. My favorite of the four appliances is the range. We have enjoyed all kinds of new cooking techniques. As my wife put it, I did not realize how crappy my previous range was. Gourmet cooking is what Dacor is founded on and we could not be happier with the performance. Our favorite feature on the refrigerator is the in door water pitcher. Fresh cook water that can be taken to the table and refilled upon placing it back in the refrigerator. Dacor ERD30s06BK/LP - thought reputation was good. Quality seemed outstanding. Like: Appearance; Dislike: Performance, Reliability, Serviceability, Quality of parts, Availability of parts. In a word: Dont buy a Dacor! Ive learned that if you have a repair person/organization you can depend on ask them to suggest the best appliance based on their repair experience and their ability to obtain parts. Dacor has already replaced range once. Oven interior cracked when self-clean was used. Stovetop burner ignitors frequently continue to spark after flame is established. Stovetop burners will sometimes extinguish when flame is low. This experience showed me that just because an appliance is expensive, it doesnt mean good performance or high quality. Because of the cost of replacement we have lived with the Dacor until the next major repair is not possible because of lack of available of parts or cost.

Dangerous condition! I purchased a Dacor 36 dual fuel range 5 years ago. I reported the issue to Dacor via email with no response from customer service. I believe the no response was an attempt by Dacor to distance themselves from their responsibility for this potentially dangerous condition. Specifics: When pre-heating the oven in convection/bake mode, if the oven door is opened before reaching the set pre-heat temperature, a ball of flame will explode up from the opened door. The ball of flame is basketball sized and has singed eyebrows and hair on several occasions. To reiterate - it is a ball of flame, not super-heated air that is the problem. As a result, after non-response from Dacor, we called a decor qualified repair technician who diagnosed the problem as a bad igniter. The igniter was replaced and the problem still exists. I fear that a small child may be severely burned by the engineering design fault.

Updated on 09/08/2019: Received a long apology from Dacor regarding their complete inability to service our range stating they would make it right. After sending them all my contact info privately at their request, we have heard nothing. My husband drove to Houston to their showroom, met with Dacor rep out of California, still nothing. Note there are only a few suggested repair services on their website which none cover our area. Avoid Appliance Genius. They wanted $ 500 just to drive 50 minutes travel cost. So here we sit, broiler in main oven out, lighters do not work, and the control screen is blank. Yes, Dacor was great until something broke.Original Review: Our Dacor range was great until it started needing repair. First the broiler went out in the main oven. Then some of the lighters quit working. When we called for repair, every place we called said they would no longer service Dacor because they were unable to get parts. For over a year we have gone back and forth with Dacor state office. They finally sent a “tech” from a video repair store. Really. He charged us $170 to drive to us. Then said he couldn’t get the brass rings off the burners, sorry. Called Dacor again and they said if we found anyone to let them know!!! Yesterday, the the touch panel burned out. I’m done. Dacor does not stand behind their products. I have documented all conversations. Do not buy Dacor.

Five years ago we built a new house with a big open kitchen for entertaining and family. I like to cook. After talking to a kitchen designer and high end appliance dealer in San Antonio, TX, we decided to go 100% Dacor for the kitchen. What a nightmare! The oven was replaced within the first three months. Since then we have had two relay boards replaced (one within warranty, one not) and one thermostat replaced. When the oven is working, I like it very much. But it is a lot of trouble to get it fixed. The refrigerator defrosting until has gone out three times as well (once in warranty, twice not). Today the unit is not cooling at all. It is hard enough to find someone to service these units outside the big cities, so when we do find someone it takes days for them to get here to diagnose; days to receive parts; and days more to fix. I will never buy another Dacor product! I will say this, the Dacor headquarters have tried to help and even gave discounts on parts, but 5-year appliances should never have these many issues. Our last kitchen was 100% KitchenAid and we never had one problem with anything for 6 years!

First, there is no clock on the stove because as I was told the clock would etch the screen if it was on 24 hours a day. Second, the sound the timer makes is so soft, even on the loudest setting, cannot be heard in any room but the kitchen, so I paid a premium price to carry a timer with me, so I know when my oven is done baking. Third, if I turn the oven light on, the timer either stops completely, or it resets to the original time. Fourth, the oven buzzes when it is cooking. Fifth the user manual is useless and there is no video or online information on how to use this oven that is not user friendly. Finally, I have talked to Dacor and have had the repair person here, but he knew nothing about this oven. I am sorry every time that I use this oven that I did not buy my other choice, which was the Woof double ovens, but we thought this would be wonderful product, like the wonderful product that our previous ovens were. We also thought Dacor was a family company, but is now owned by Samsung. What a disappoint these ovens have been. The engineering for this product is a disgrace for any company and I no longer see the Modernist products advertised and it may be because it is such a poorly designed product. I never met a computer that I did not love, but this is not the electronic wonder that was advertised when we bought the ovens.

We bought 3 very expensive Dacor appliances when we built our home 12 years ago. They have been a total disappointment. The microwave was replaced after just a couple of years when it just stopped working properly - including needing to stop it by opening the door! The wall ovens have needed many minor repairs which have amounted to several hundred dollars after labor charges. I see on this post others have had to repair the hinges! Ours have been replaced twice! The broiler came loose and was hanging on one side. The internal light also goes on and off by itself - sometimes in quick succession. At times, it stays on and cannot be turned off by the light button but by banging the front of the oven! Ridiculous! The cooktop cooks very unevenly. It goes from simmer to boiling over. The ceramic material did not hold up very well either. It is supposed to clean easy. But there are spills that have left permanent stains and we will be replacing that as well. We have also had Customer Service tell us items have been discontinued so we have no choice but to replace these appliances since replacement parts cannot be purchased any longer. This is a warning to anyone considering Dacor - DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There are far better appliances out there!

Ive had this range for two years and am replacing the control panel for the second time. 1st time during product warranty and second time out of warranty. The range is beautiful but apparently the electronics are bad. And to add insult to injury Dacor doesnt stock replacements but has them assembled when needed. Estimated wait time for a new panel is 3 weeks; so no oven for 3 weeks and now not a lot of faith that the new board will be any better than the last one.

I purchased a 48 Dacor Epicure stove in October 2010. We moved into our home in November just in time for Thanksgiving. We remodeled the kitchen and the stove is the focal point. When I heated the two ovens, the pre-heat mode stayed on but the ovens went to 600 degrees plus. My oven thermometers only read to 600. That happens every time and the fans stay on for hours. After many service calls, we have determined that the oven is going into a cleaning mode every time and is wired backwards. Dacor is ignoring me.

We did a complete kitchen remodel in 2007. I wanted top of the line appliances, and I liked the look of Dacor. I spent over $10,000 on a refrigerator, oversize dishwasher, microwave oven and a warming oven... (I know). Within 16 months, everything started to fall apart. Of course it was over the one year’s mark so there was no replacing of the units on the manufacturers part. I have since replaced the motherboard on the dishwasher twice... total of 3K in repairs! I cant replace the dishwasher because it was oversized and we built our cabinets around it and no other company sell an oversized dishwasher. I have replaced the microwave oven with another one that looks just like it because for some reason it fried. The refrigerator constantly rattles and my husband and I are at our wits end because of it. The only thing that hasnt fell apart yet is the warming oven. Probably because we dont use it. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Its a total waste of money. Next time Im buying Kenmore. My old Kenmore is sitting out in the garage being a good and faithful second fridge.

Thank you for your attention. Since my post, a resolution has been reached and Dacor will be replacing my range with a new one. That is much more representative of the pride and reputation of Dacor. The executives were very responsive. Perhaps front line agents are not empowered to make these decisions, however, in my case, the escalation brought the matter into the right hands. Happy with the direction towards the final outcome, not the 4-month process that discounted the reputation and my perception.

We have a new (one year old) home with Dacor appliances. The microwave oven went on the blink the first month but was repaired by a factory approved repairman. Something to do with the computer. Now the double oven will not hold a temperature. We set the oven at 420 and it only goes to 360 even though the readout shows 420. We just decided to skip the repair process and bought a new Wolf oven. This is our second Dacor within the past two years and both have had the same problem. Dont waste your money.

In September 2009 we did a complete remodel of our kitchen. Replaced everything but the refrigerator, with DACOR appliances. Within a few months we had problems with the dishwasher and finally replaced it with a GE in 2012. About that same time we had problems with the Dacor Epicure 30 Single Oven Model EO130SCH control panel and had to have the repairman out to work on the relay/computer board. At Christmas 2015 I had trouble baking, the temperature wasnt accurate and have had the repairman again. He says that the computer board is fried (his term). Ive tried calling Customer Service with no success. Ive e-mailed them with same results. The appliance repairman has told me that he cant find the part. All the distributors that hes called have been told that the part is on back order. Ive been without an oven for over two months now with no fix in sight. Have been told that IF we find the part it will probably run around $500.00. These are appliances that are only six years old and have had gentle use by senior citizens. Anyone reading this - PLEASE DONT BUY DACOR! Youll be sorry as I am.

We purchased this oven/cooktop was installed in February 2020. I have been unhappy with the performance of the smaller oven from the beginning. It takes 20 minutes to pre-heat, a loud fan starts to run partway during the pre-heating process and then warm air starts to flow out the bottom. Plus, it is not either holding the correct temperature or not reaching it completely, nothing I cook in there is done in a appropriate amount of time. Baking a small potato takes an hour and a half at 375, brownies take almost twice the approximate baking time. My attempts to contact them have been less than satisfactory. I wrote for a second time over two weeks ago providing a copy of the invoice and have still heard nothing. I am quite disappointed with this product & company.

Previously, I submitted a complaint here and I would now like to amend it. The problem(s) that I experienced with my 8 years old Dacor 30-inch wall oven was what I described in my earlier post (July 9, 2012). But after posting here, I was contacted by a Dacor representative not once, but several follow-ups to ensure that the problem was resolved to my satisfaction. It was and Im now very impressed with Dacors customer support. To be fair, I should have contacted Dacor with my problem before blasting their product here.It has been a good oven for 8 years and given their support that Ive recently experienced, Id be more inclined to purchase Dacor products in the future as it appears theyre willing to stand behind what they sell. Im really glad this issue was resolved because I was about to throw in the towel and buy something else, but couldnt find anything else that looked near as good as my Dacor and had glowing product performance reviews.

We placed the new Dacor appliances that we’ve purchased in our second home in Big Bear Lake, California. The fact is we were in our second home approximately 10 times in the first two years. We had trouble with our Dacor dishwasher from the beginning. When you close the door, it wouldnt engage unless you close the door a number of times. It became progressively worse to the point where we brought out another repairperson - this time a certified Dacor repairperson. He got the washer going for a few minutes, only to not being able to complete a full cycle. We received an initial $89.95 bill, and during another contact we would have to pay an additional $400-plus for a motherboard and labor. We contacted Dacor, along with the contractor, a number of times. We had the history of this dishwasher which is causing problems.Dacor would not make it good, even though we spent more than $10,000 on other Dacor kitchen products. It simply doesnt make sense to me to not fix a sub-par dishwasher to keep a customer happy. Now, we are angry and will go on a number of sites to advertise our plight. We will install a new Bosch dishwasher as we have no confidence in Dacor and even less in their customer relations division.

I had an issue with the wall oven light on my Dacor Preference double oven. To make a long story short, after contacting Dacor directly, they made sure that the unit was fixed by providing the part directly to me and confirming that the local repair company would be willing to install it. The oven is 8 years old and in the end, what I spent seemed reasonable to get a fully functioning oven (membrane switch). They were prompt, personal and courteous in their response to me. I came away feeling that Dacor takes pride in their history and their products! They also cleared up some misconceptions that I had regarding the status of their company. Although it was frustrating to have an appliance not work properly, I feel that the customer service Dacor provides makes their company one worth sticking with. That makes a big difference in todays impersonal world.

Most of my life, Ive always bought pretty low end appliances, and theyve always worked pretty well. When we remodelled our kitchen, we decided to go with a high end Dacor stove, and its been nothing but trouble. After just a few weeks, the igniters started to fire constantly on some burners. It was still under warranty, but it was very hard to find someone to honor the warranty. We got that fixed, then the oven light started to come on and off randomly. After our experience with the first problem, we just disconnected the light and let it go. A few months later, the bottom shelf jammed, and there was no way to collapse it to fit in the oven. This product is total junk. Dont buy it!

I wrote yesterday, perhaps a little too hastily that our motherboard was dead on our Dacor stove. The repairman came today and fixed it by removing it from the front of the stove and unplugging two plugs and plugging them back in. Everything works fine now and we are vastly relieved. The repairman commented that most people are very happy with their Dacor appliances and he doesnt repair them very often.Total relief. Also hope this doesnt happen again because though extremely simple to repair, it would become very tiresome to remove the motherboard and fiddle with the sophisticated circuitry if we had to do it ourselves. I wasnt watching real closely what the guy did and dont know if I could do it myself.

Recently, my dishwasher has stopped working properly, stops midway through cycle, wont drain water and its just been a total waste of money. I will never recommend Dacor to anyone. Do not buy Dacor. I completed a 7-month total remodel of our kitchen and family room, which were connected in November 2007. The kitchen remodel cost $18,000 for various Dacor appliances including the Millenia series of wall oven MOV130S; warming drawer MWDV30; and 42 island hood DHI42130. The remaining includes the huge 30 Epicure dishwasher ED30SCP, 36 cooktop EG366SCH, and beverage center EF24LBCSS. All have the beautiful copper accent package and make for highly attractive appliances. We constantly receive accolades for them. If only they werent absolute garbage functionally and reliability-wise. Others have remarked how the ignitors on the cooktop continually spark, even after the light off. After contacting Dacor and waiting 2 weeks for the repair, for which Dacor sent the wrong part and caused another 2-week delay, the repairman had to rip off the front accent lip of the cooktop to reach the base which significantly dented the front lip. The ignitor worked like a champ for 2 days, then click, click, click - constant ignitions. So I cleaned around the ignitor tip with 409, dried it and it worked flawlessly. Thanks Dacor for your own product ignorance and my now dented cooktop. It has worked well since and is a sound product, so far. If only my luck held out.Next, the wall oven. Very beautiful and my control panel has held out (fingers faithlessly crossed). The oven isnt calibrated though, so follow cooking directions at your own risk. This oven will burn your food if you set the temp and timer to the recommended settings. I have to take off 25-50 degrees and 5-10 minutes of requested cook time or I will smoke any meal. After 2 years of use, I decided to use the cleaning cycle - following the directions to the letter. Forty five minutes into the cycle and kaboo! The front window shattered. Dacor says $700+ for glass replacement; I say send me the part and Ill do it. I got the discounted part for $68; spent 3 hours cleaning and reassembling with care; and the window has held, but I havent tried the cleaning cycle since. Why roll the dice again?Ah, now my fave garbage Dacor appliance - the interminable dishwasher. Truly engineered by the diabolical. I just completed my fourth major repair after 5 years of use. First, the drain valve failed after a few months of use causing flood and was replaced under warranty. Then the door seal failed (more flooding) and was also repaired and replaced under warranty. The dishwasher stinks, by the way, as the unit cannot evaporate effectively during drying cycle due to ridiculously poor rear venting design. So I have to leave the door wide open for hours after use to facilitate drying and stench reduction. The control panel/circuit board has fried twice now in the last 3 years - it just starts erratically beeping and refuses to take input, even with a power reset. Both technicians stated the design and quality of the board is third world, which likely is exactly where Dacor outsourced the garbage. The island hood and warming drawer have worked well, and the beverage center has been reliable but maddeningly causes back left cans of soda to freeze and explode occasionally; even with the set temperature raised to now 45 degrees. Fun to clean up after coming home from a long trip. My expectations are so laughingly low now for these Dacor products that I dont bat an eye with the frozen soda muck this fridge occasionally produces. Customer service though has been helpful and thankfully, American. They have replaced both circuit boards for free well out of warranty. I have only appreciation and great sympathy for the customer service folks who Ive spoken with. I love my kitchen, but hate the appliances in it. Never again Dacor. Never again.

We purchased a DACOR double wall oven (MOH2275) in April 2012. We are waiting for service to arrive for the fourth time since we purchased the oven. I find this unacceptable. We have had 2 other ovens in the last 30 years and they did not need any service. In general I have found appliances to be of such reliability that I dont get extended warranties. DACOR gave a 3 year warranty on this oven and now I know why. Hopefully this service will fix it for a long period of time.On the positive side, the oven really works well. It is so well insulated that we feel very little heat coming off it. One serious flaw its overall operation is the reheating of the oven. If I bake something at 350 degrees and then want to reset the over to 450 degrees, the oven does not go into preheat mode and does not let you know when you reach the required temperature. I am hopeful this will last awhile and not have to be replaced for what we paid for it.

In August of 2005, I purchased a Dacor pro range. In December 2005, the control panel began to blink and lose display. Dacor gave me names of 2 authorized repair people. After several visits by a repairman, I phoned Dacor and was told to call a repairman. They obviously didnt listen to me! The repairman spoke with Dacor representative who responded that the display needed to be ‘rebooted just like a computer.’ Several times a month, I must go to the electric control panel in my basement to turn the breaker switch off and on in an effort to ‘reboot’. In September 2010, the display panel went dark and could not be ‘rebooted’. I had to replace to control the membrane at a cost of $530.69 plus $169 for labor and a service call. On Thanksgiving 2010, the ‘new’ display panel which was obviously defective, stopped working. Once again, a new membrane had to be ordered and installed incurring another service and labor charge! I sent a letter to Dacor wanting reimbursement of labor/service on original defective membrane and was advised that they warranty their products, not the service! It is now November 16, 2011 and I still must continuously ‘reboot’ the control panel! However, I spoke to an authorized Dacor repairman who told me that Dacor has had many complaints such as mine and now have a devise which attaches to the power cord and filters out the ‘noise’ from other household items which disrupts the control panel on my oven! Is there a reason why Dacor is keeping this a secret? Do they not want to make their consumers happy? I cant wait to be rid off this appliance and all association with the Dacor company!

We renovated our kitchen and as part of this had installed the new Dacor Modernist Fridge and Freezer columns at a VERY hefty price tag. We were going to get a subzero and changed our minds when we saw these products - the styling, design and function looked so much better than Sub-Zero, despite the higher price tag. Well, fast forward about 8 months and we dont have a functioning fridge. It stopped cooling out of nowhere. We had to throw everything away. After FINALLY getting a repair person to the house, they told me that it was because the fridge had run out of gas (freon or whatever the coolant is thats used). When asked how that happened they said they didnt know, but that they couldnt repair it as they needed a part from Dacor. A WEEK later, they finally got the part and came back to repair the fridge. 4-5 hours later it still was not repaired and they said they needed another part. Its been almost two weeks since then and the part has still not arrived. We had a BlueStar range installed when redoing the kitchen and when we had a problem with that, they overnighted the part, so that they could fix it right away. This is not the case here - the customer service has been absolutely horrendous and Ferguson Appliances (where I bought the fridge from) has been at their wits end with this (I cant say enough about how wonderful Ferguson has been to deal with). This has been a nightmare. Now the repair place wont even schedule a repair date because they dont want to lose the time again in case the part doesnt show up again... DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE. Purchased a Dacor DT0227B wall oven. The first oven arrived damaged; the control panel was completely off the unit. We ordered a replacement oven which arrived today. Upon turning on the power, error codes C76 and C77 appeared on the control panel display. The installers phoned your service people who instructed them to remove the front panel and look for a loose wire. When they removed the front panel, the entire control board was just hanging free, not secured in place with any screws (it appeared that this was an assembly error). They found a wire hanging, secured it in place, reattached the control panel and applied power. At this time the error codes were no longer displayed and they were able to set the time. When they attempted to start up an oven cycle to test the unit, the Start/Continue button on the membrane keypad was not responding. Another call to your service team determined that the control panel would need to be replaced. 2 ovens within 2 weeks arrived DEAD! The quality is beyond unacceptable. I sent an e-mail to the CEO of the company before I posted this. I received a response from a QA guy. Now that was great service from a company who is trying to make good for a bad item in their appliance line. My repair person told me that Dacor is now using a different manufacturer for their dishwasher so hopefully it will be a better product.

The Dacor ‘duel fuel’ ranger was $5,500, We have propone, and Dacor’s set up is for natural gas, so all the pots and pans got lots of dark residual. I wrote and called them many times, to no avail. Terrible customer service. Then the F1 error keeps beeping, non-stop. What a piece of junk. Non-stop issues. No service whatsoever from the manufacturer.

I purchased a Dacor range/oven combination in 2005 for a total kitchen remodel. I chose Dacor for its name and reputation for quality. The first problem was that the digital clock was running very fast; that occurred in October 2005 and was covered by the warranty. The next problem was that the downdraft would not stop going up and down. I had to turn off the breaker switch of that function until the repairman could fix it. The next problem I consider as a design flaw and not an oven malfunction. Both oven lights were burned out by June 2010 and needed replacing. The light bulb cover for my model is behind a grid for the oven racks which must be removed before the light can be accessed. It’s not a 5-minute job. The next problem was in September 2010 when the oven broiler refused to work. Another service call was needed to replace the oven broiler ignitor. The next problem was in June 2011, when the oven rack, which slides into cavities built into the rear wall of the oven, refused to release. It required another repair call. The repairman had to pull the oven out away from the wall and work to release the rack. As a result, I do not use that rack. Theres no one who uses the oven besides me; I have no kids in the house. The oven has never been misused or abused. The next problem was in November 2012, when the self cleaning feature refused to work; another repair call was needed. All of the above cost me $1,250. When I contacted Dacor about the myriad of problems/issues, I got a written reply that said every situation is reviewed on a case by case basis; in most out of warranty cases, Dacor would sell me the part I needed at a reduced price. I responded that would necessitate two service calls (one to diagnose, one to fix) and an inoperable oven for however long it would take to get the part and then reschedule the repairman. In almost all of the above, my repairman (Dacor authorized repairman) had the parts on his truck. I cant be waiting weeks without a functioning oven. Based on all of the above, my oven would have been out of order for many weeks. I wrote Dacor again, thinking the CEO needs to know about all these problems. I asked my contact to forward my correspondence to the CEO for review/comment. Instead, I got a reply from the customer service supervisor who stated in part on his 1/3/13 email, There tends to be a disproportionate amount of negative postings on-line”. Really? Most companies pay attention to complaints or compliments about their product or service. If someone takes the time to communicate, then the company owes its shareholders the duty to listen when there are repeated complaints about their product. Will I buy Dacor again? Never.

Purchased home with installed Dacor double oven. Oven wouldnt reach set temperature, so replaced control board. Doable, but a real hassle to remove oven from wall opening and label, disconnect, and reconnect 20-something wires. Two years later, the clock cannot take the correct time and oven timers do not work. Only fix: replacing the $300 control board again. I cannot recommend that anyone purchase these appliances as the control boards simply do not work for more than a couple of years.

I purchased the Dacor panel ready refrigerator and freezer column 15 months ago. The refrigerator stopped cooling -- in 15 months! These were 8k each!!! It had now been over 2 months without a working refrigerator and no end in sight. I will never ever purchase one of their products again! They replaced the compressor and 3 days later it stopped cooling again. What a joke! DO NOT BUY DACOR!

I had a Thermador kitchen for more than 25 years and I was very happy with their products; I had a Thermador slide-in range with downdraft vent and a dishwasher and a KitchenAid refrigerator, but it was time to upgrade. Now, I upgraded my whole kitchen with all Dacor products and I am super happy, my 30 inch range top has extra wide grates which allows my wife to cook with extra large pans when she prepares food for donation, my updraft vent catches smoke and grease much better than my downdraft, my refrigeration is very nice looking with french door and middle refrigeration for my cold drinks and my dishwasher is very quiet. I invited a few friends home and they have admire my new kitchen. It has been more than months since I bought it and no problems.

Our 10 year old Dacor microwave finally passed on, so I ordered this model, as it fits into the existing trim kit. It is basically the same model I had before, without all the "digital" screen display and the "tune" that played when the food was done. It still does multiple steps at different percentages and, instead of hitting time, percentage and start, you select time, and repeatedly press the "power setting" button multiple times to arrive at your desired percentage (it steps down from 100%), then press start. It's also an 1100 watt unit where our previous one was 1200 watts. I don't notice any difference. It has a "cobalt" blue display. There are many "preset" buttons for things like Pizza, Popcorn, etc. Love our new Dacor!

I will NEVER buy Dacor EVER again. We built a house and after looking at other high-end appliance makers and upon my mothers strong recommendation, we installed all Dacor appliances in our new kitchen. My mother based her recommendation of Dacor appliances due to what she explained as their excellent customer service. HA!! Less than 3 years after installing our pricey Dacor Epicure over-sized dishwasher it has rusted racks -- top and bottom! After experiencing a very painful, drawn-out and EXPENSIVE process of getting our racks replaced, I am not confident AT ALL that our frustrations with this dishwasher are over yet. The new retrofit slides on the top rack are so lightweight I cant imagine they will effectively operate for years to come. I have difficulty closing my dishwasher properly now and have to check each time I run it for leaks on the floor. Ive given up on my Dacor dishwasher and have resigned myself to eventually replacing it. NEVER buy Dacor!
