We purchased a Dacor built-in refrigerator in 2011. After just 5 years the warning beeper came on. We learned that the main control panel - built by Whirlpool - was defective. We then learned that Dacor did not have any replacement part for this model. Our only alternative was the purchase a new refrigerator. Amazing!! Dacor reluctantly gave us a partial credit for a new (KitchenAid) model. However at the end of the day we are out of pocket over $2000 because Dacor built and sold a defective refrigerator with no ability to fix the problem. Very unsatisfactory handling of this situation.

If anyone else has this experience with Dacor ovens, we need to have a class action suit against Dacor! While baking Christmas cookies this week with my grandchildren, my ovens stopped working and started beeping. The error code was F3. I was able to get a technician rather quickly who diagnosed the problem as a failure of the control board which affected both ovens. The replacement part was discontinued from production in 2011. My ovens are 12 years old and cost over $4,000 at the time. What a pickle I was in a week before family coming for Christmas dinner! The technician said my only recourse was to send the control board to a refurbisher and he did not know when the board would be fixed - all for a whopping costs of over $600.00! I find it unacceptable that Dacor discontinues a control board and forces the consumer to either buy new ovens or pay the cost of a refurbished part that I hope will work. After spending thousands of dollars, how does this happen? What can be done so the consumers who purchase appliances with good intentions are protected from manufacturers that dont stand behind their products? DACOR I NEED ANSWERS!!

Updated on 01/25/2021: After my review in December of 2020 I have continued to fight for a resolution with Dacor. Dacor appeared to be unable to resolve the issue and sent the issue to parent company Samsung. Samsung set up an appointment for repair then cancelled it saying parts were not available and that they would authorize a refund. I supplied the invoice and filled out all necessary documentation, including my banking information so they could wire the money. Today, a Samsung representative called and said I needed to talk to Dacor to finish the process, even though I was told everything was approved.I called Dacor and to no ones surprise they said this would have to be approved and only one person can make that decision and they are hard to get in touch with. Oh, and by the way, 10 days ago the second oven failed. Yes, the large oven that did not work when I purchased the unit. It was repaired in September and has already failed again. I now have a double oven Dacor range and neither works. This week begins my 10th week of fighting with Dacor for them to honor my warranty (again the unit was installed in August 2020) or refund the purchase price. At this point the range has been out of commission half the time I have owned it. I strongly suggest you heed the warnings here on this site. I wish I had listened.Original Review: On August 3, 2020 I purchased a 48 Dacor Gas Range. It was installed a couple of weeks later and the large oven did not work. It took better than a week for Dacors authorized service company to come out and diagnose the problem. The parts took another week to be shipped and then another week to have the repair made. It was a defective thermostat that was preventing the oven from igniting.Fast forward to November 24. In preparing for a big Thanksgiving, we turned on the small oven, only to find that it did not turn on. It had the exact symptom as the large over and would not ignite. I reached out by email to the agent at Dacor who had worked with me before, only to receive the below response: Thank you for contacting Dacor – We are no longer able to provide support by e-mail. Please contact us at U.S. Toll free: 833-353-5483 we are happy to provide personal support. Now begins the worst customer service experience of my lifetime. After opening a case, I have now talked with a dozen different agents and have yet to receive a resolution to my problem - a range that cost over $7,000 that did not work out of the box and has now failed again in a three-month period. I have spent hours on the phone and on hold and was eventually directed to Samsung on December 9 because Dacor could not get the parts. Samsung promised to refund the purchase price of the product is the parts did not come available by December 16.December 16 rolled around and now Dacor is saying that Samsung made the promise, but that they are different companies. Remember, Dacor directed me to Samsung and Samsung does own Dacor. I have been told that the parts for my oven are no longer available. After continuing to push the issue I am told that it is now in management review but that it may take 2 weeks for a decision on my case. It has now been nearly a month since I opened the case and I appear no closer to reaching a resolution on my failed Dacor range. I have asked to speak with a manager, but I keep being told this is not possible right now.I do believe that Dacor is in breach of their warranty. I have been more than reasonable in allowing them to remedy the situation. Since this was installed just over four months ago, it has been out of service in one of the two ovens for a total of 7 weeks. For anyone considering the purchase of a Dacor appliance, I strongly caution you to read the reviews on this site and other sites. If you are lucky and get an appliance that works and never fails, you might be happy. If you ever have to invoke your warranty you will hate your life. I regret that I did not heed the warnings. It is truly unbelievable to me that in 2020, any company can stay in business when they display such disregard for their customers. Be warned.

DONT recommend model #MOH130. We were so impressed with the options that this oven came with. Sadly, with all the bells and whistles also came a ton of repairs. After the 4th repair, our service rep said the relay board needed to be switched out. (Half of the service men who came to my house seemed to be grasping at straws trying to come up with an explanation why the temperature was fluctuating, or why it took so long to heat up, etc.) Then I get to wait 2 weeks for a part to be ordered/arrived and re-schedule service. Last week got code U22 - oven wont even turn on. This oven is only 6 years old. NO THANKS - NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything from this company.

I purchased a Dacor Refrigerator about 4 years ago and have had nothing but constant problems with it over the years. Finally they agreed to send me a new refrigerator, and now after five months I am having a major problem with it, and have been trying for 3 hours to get a warranty authorization from them so I can have a repair man come out and stop a major leak that is now leaking into the condo below me. I am so disgusted with their products and their service that I really would never advise anyone purchasing a Dacor product. If I could I would buy another brand then be done with it, but this was a $9,000.00 refrigerator - CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT???

I completely gutted my kitchen on 2/22/92, and purchased a Dacor CPD230R double oven. Whenever I used the self-cleaning function the next day, F0 would appear. I would have to get a repairman to come to my house. This cost me a fortune. For one year, I just used the bottom oven. I finally called Dacor, and complained. I wrote a letter to Mr. **, and wanted satisfaction. They decided that I could purchase a new, better oven for $1,480.00. This was 1998, so in 6 years, I spent $3,680.00 for 2 ovens. After 5 years, I started having the same problems. Every time I used the self-cleaning function, F0 would appear. I just totaled my bills for the new, better oven, and I have spent $963.00 and it would be more, but I figured out, if I pressed cancel and held it, the F0 would disappear. So every time I used the oven, that is what I did. This would last for 8 months. The oven completely shut down, and I could not use the top or bottom. I just had a repairman here, and he said i need a new membrane assembly, and latch. They were supposed to call me with an estimate. They just called, and said the part is no longer available. This is upsetting. Reading the reviews, I see I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with the Dacor oven. Now, I will be redoing my kitchen.

We remodeled our kitchen in the fall of 2009 and decided to purchase what we thought were higher end Dacor appliances (stove top, oven and microwave). Well, what a mistake that turned out to be. Considering the price we paid for the appliances, you would not expect problems from all 3. Perhaps a problem with 1 appliance, but problems with all 3 suggest a real quality problem. My first indication should have been when I called and asked how to change the green LED on the microwave to blue to match the nice blue LEDs on the oven mounted right below. I was told that someone else makes the microwave and Dacor just puts their name, and that I should just turn off the LED on the microwave. I dont know if that is true, but that is what I was told. Now when using the microwave/convection feature, the oven makes a noise (sounds like a fan motor) for the first 3-5 minutes then eventually quiets down. A daily reminder of the mistake we made purchasing Dacor. Then those nice blue LEDs on the oven started failing making it impossible to read the clock, timer or temp. Luckily, the oven still works; you just cannot read the LED any longer. This is a constant reminder of the mistake we made buying Dacor as we see the LED every time we walk into the kitchen. Finally, we have the solid surface electric cooktop. Although it works fine, the black paint on the metal trim around the stove top is wearing off. Now, we have some shiny metal and some black trim. This is just an annoyance and honestly, we probably would not have even complained about it. However, with the other problems we have had with Dacor, it just adds to our overall disappointment with Dacor. If I knew then what I know now, I would be a lot happier because I would have GE appliances and not these overpriced low quality Dacor appliances.

Since then, (8 weeks now) we have been trying to get Dacor to replace or repair the refrigerator and to date nothing. We use it all the time and so far it’s worked great. The color blends well in our kitchen even with the microwave being the only DACOR we have. Dacor Fuel Range broken door - My Dacor is by now 13 years old. I see from other reviews that the problems I have with my range have not been addressed in newer models--the same problems exist. When I received my Dacor, there was a crack in the front, above the door. It was small, and Id just had a baby so I let it go. I noticed that the door did not close either, and because I did not address it within a year, Im out of luck. But youd think that making an oven with a door that closes snug would be a top priority. It only closes properly when in cleaning mode. My oven window became brown and I cannot clean it. Its a shame that these things are messed up because the convection seems to work wonderful and the oven is fairly attractive. If the door closed all the way. Im getting ready to consider a new oven. Wont be a Dacor.

Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range and Microwave - Where to begin? Perhaps at the end is best. Dacor appliances are shoddy, unreliable, outrageously expensive to repair and there is no customer support. That about covers it. We bought the above noted pair during our kitchen renovations 8 years ago. We thought that Dacor was a premium brand that would give us long trouble free service. How wrong we were! The only thing Premium about them is the price. 4 years ago, the microwave door refused to latch. Thanks to YouTube, I found out how to remove the door backing and found that the plastic part that comprised the latch was broken. Dacor was contacted - they no longer had the part. Try the open market I was told. I managed to jury rig a repair by using a wooden shim. 3 years ago, the range packed it in. Another repair - this time I was told it was the circuit board that had failed and which was replaced to the tune of $700 and I was cautioned that the second circuit board was not working very well - the interior light would not illuminate and the blue lights indicating a lit burner didnt work, and I should change it too. The smaller circuit board was costed out at $400. Last week, the door latch motor failed and the range began to beep incessantly. Now the oven cannot be used and repair costs quoted over the phone were in the 1000$ range. Thats it for us. Dacor is junk and belongs where its headed - the junkyard. Dont buy Dacor. Live and learn I guess.

Less than two years ago, we purchased a Dacor classic wall oven from a local high end appliance store in Durham, NC. Within a few months, the electronics started getting glitchy; the oven started beeping in the middle of the night. I turned off the beep, but other problems started popping up. I baked a pie which was half raw on one side and overcooked on the other side -- not exactly what you would expect from a nearly $5000 oven. Recently, the display has been blinking in codes and the oven has been turning itself off. When I tried to call customer service, I was repeatedly put on hold for 30 minutes after which the system disconnected me. When I finally spoke to a person, she was very rude. This is a horrible company, a horrible product and I deeply regret that the salesperson at the store talked me into buying this awful oven. I am extremely unhappy.

I am writing to complain about our Dacor dual fuel stove that we purchased in 1998 when we built our house. Initially things went well, and I enjoyed baking in the oven and the convenience of the gas stove top when we had power issues. But then the honeymoon ended, and the problems started. After completing our first self clean cycle, we started getting the F1 code, and noticed cracks in the front on the stove. Our repair guy came out, took a look, and then informed me that Dacor had had numerous problems, and were not so good about living up to their warranty. He was right, Dacor felt in no way that they should help resolve our problem. With 4 kids, you cant just go without a stove, so we paid for the parts and repair. I figured it was just a one time thing, but I was wrong. We are now again looking at replacing the same part just 3 years later again with cracks and the F1 code. Dacor should be ashamed. Do the math. If they walk away from responsibility on all of these faulty products that average $5,000 a piece, shouldnt they have the money to pay for the fixes or maybe hire better engineers? They need to be held accountable for this mess. I need my oven back on!!!! And after the money we have paid for repairs, light bulbs, and parts...... the rest of the care should be free and on them.

I purchased a Dacor Black Dual Fuel Range (RSD30B) in 2001 which was installed during a kitchen remodel. We moved back into the house on 12/24/01. We hardly ever use the oven because my husband barbeques every night. In less than 5 years, a piece of the plastic front control panel fell off. In early 2008 the self cleaning function broke (error F2). I called Dacor and they referred me to a repair service. It was going to cost almost $500 to repair so, given that we use the oven so little, I decided not to spend the money on an oven that was falling apart. Now within the last two years the plastic control panel is cracked across the front and more pieces are starting to fall off. Now the clock and the timer have stopped working. I called Dacor again today and was told that the seals and hinges on the oven are probably bad, which is contributing to the problem. The customer service person was rude and unhelpful. He said it was not unusual for a ten year old oven to break. He gave me contact information for a parts dealer and two repair services. I bought this oven believing it was a high quality and I expected them to stand behind their product. What can you do to help me?

My Dacor (3 years old) oven top burners igniters dont stop after being turned on, although they are burning. Ive tried drying them for many hours and applying rubbing alcohol. The front ones do this all the time when we turn them on. When we turn the left front burner on, the front right ones igniter does it along with the left! The back ones do it occasionally, so are still usable. Apparently this is a common problem with Dacor units. Why havent they fixed it? Weve had them fix the electronic panel at huge expense, and are not going to call them again. When the back burners stop working, well get another unit. Ive had gas stoves for 30 years and have never experienced anything like this poor quality. Its amazing that they are still in business.

As my wife put it, I did not realize how crappy my previous range was. Gourmet cooking is what Dacor is founded on and we could not be happier with the performance. Our favorite feature on the refrigerator is the in door water pitcher. Fresh cook water that can be taken to the table and refilled upon placing it back in the refrigerator. My husband spent countless hours researching the best appliances and decided to get this one and to come to find out that it is not good it is a complete disappointment. I am sooo upset. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!! Save yourself the hassle that we are now going to go through trying to get a hold of someone on the phone and see what they will do if anything. I bought it from AJ Madison.

In 2008 I had the luxury of choosing kitchen appliances for our new home. I looked at them all and felt Dacor was the best choice. Choosing Dacor for our kitchen was the worst mistake I have made in kitchen appliances in any house in which I have lived (and there have been quite a few). The oven (48 dual fuel range) didnt work from day one. There was a problem with the temperature control. The oven would not shut off when it reached the desired temperature. Disappointing, but I told myself that sometimes things can go wrong and it should be an easy fix. Well, many service calls later and several re-wires of the unit, along with the installation of many new parts, the range still does not perform as well as the worst oven I have ever had. There is a tool that comes with the range that is used for taking the top off the unit to access the wires. My range was taken apart so many times that the tool wore out and had to be replaced. The front piece of the range no longer fits flush with the rest of the range. On one of our last service calls, I was told by the serviceman that Dacor said that under no circumstances would they consider replacement of my obviously faulty, beyond repair range. Eventually I got tired of repeated service calls. Sometimes servicemen would come out and say they didnt know how to fix it and leave. I would not expect such poor customer service from an entry level company. From a company touting themselves as a manufacturer of top of the line products, I would expect a greater desire to stand behind their products. The oven still does not work well. On convection bake, I must turn cookie sheets around or I will have doughy cookies on the same sheet as burned cookies. And forget using the convection setting to bake 2 sheets of cookies at once - it takes longer than baking them separately. I wish I could attach a picture! I also chose a Dacor microwave and refrigerator. One of the salesmen I spoke with about refrigerators said to make sure the unit we select did not have air transfer between the refrigerator and freezer, and the Dacor model did not do this. Well, when my 48 side-by-side arrived, it had the air transfer. I was disappointed but chose to live with it. Of greater concern to me is the noise the unit makes at times - sometimes loud enough I can hear it in other rooms of the house. I have not bothered to call for service. Im not interested in another fight to get Dacor to stand behind their poor quality overpriced products. At this point, I have no expectation of Dacor standing behind their products. I just want to share my experience with others who may be in the same situation I was - designing their dream kitchen - and save them the regret and continual disappointment in their Dacor products.

Updated on 09/25/2020: I wrote my original review of Dacor back in June 2020. This was after 4 months after I first started having trouble with my Dacor dishwasher. It is now September 25th, and still waiting on parts from Dacor to get dishwasher fix. Now the $10k refrigerator is not working and have been awaiting parts on it for over two months. This is absolutely the worst “high end” brand I have ever bought. This now a Samsung owned company and is not worth the money. Stay clear if this brand. Look at the other brands in this category like Wolf, Sub Zero, Miele.Original Review: I purchased a complete Dacor Kitchen package worth close to $20k for a home I did a renovation on. We had the dishwasher a month and it has not worked since. Finally they sent out someone to service it. The service tech said nothing was wrong with it. The next day after the servicemen left it was back making the same horrible sounds and AGAIN not working. I called warranty for about the 8th time and all the rep could tell me is... that did we read our manual and make sure we were operating it properly???? WOW!! Im a custom home builder and have bought numerous high end appliances packages and generally have had good service and even replacement if its a major problem. Dacor makes it sound like this is my fault, that they sold me an INFERIOR product!! Dont waste your money on DACOR. Miele, Wolf, Sub Zero all have superior products and service!!

This range was installed in January 2003. The door on the larger oven was replaced soon after because it would not close tightly and still doesnt with the new door. I have always thought that the oven temperature is lower than it should be but have been told twice that it is accurate, tell that to the turkey. The heating element on the large oven was replaced 2 years ago. Four of the burners dont light and have to be lit manually, this has been going on for 10 years. The relay board has burned out and now has to be replaced, $800.00 fix. The technician just left and could not replace it, he couldnt access the tight spot that it was in and wanted to cut the barrier panel to get access to it. He decided not to do the job and told me to call Dacor to get another repair service, which I just did. I was prompted to write this after reading other reviews and remarks. I hope this helps someone out there to buy a different brand.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2006. I spent a fortune on a Dacor dual fuel gas cooktop with electric oven/convection oven. My Dacor problems seem so normal I mostly deal with it. My 2 biggest complaints are the glass oven door is not airtight, it is darkened between glass, very hard to monitor my baking. And the temp gauge has always been off by 15-25 degrees. I use an in oven temp gauge, which has been calibrated so I know it works. If anyone is planning on a Dacor, you will get the best looking range. It just wont work.

I remodeled a kitchen in a high end house and so wanted nice appliances. I had KitchenAid (which Id had a lot of issues with) for about 16 years. (Since I built the house - the fridge was rebuilt 3 times.) While looking for which appliances to use we were at an open house and a chef was cooking and giving a talk on the Dacor ovens in it. So... I reviewed a lot, liked what I read, and chose Dacor. I love them, the cook quality, the features, all of it. BUT my double oven had issues from the start. An annoyance at first with the built in Android but I didnt complain a lot. Move forward 1.5 years and the Android tablet built into it would freeze and not restart without throwing a jumper on fuse box. I called Dacor and they gave me a number of options, disable the Android because of a known issue and get $500 back, or - return the oven for full credit and theyd pay to have it removed (1.5 years later... cmon thats pretty awesome), or - pay $500 and move to the newest higher end model with steam cooking. Wow, talk about stand by your product! Ive never seen this before with an appliance manufacturer/vendor. Certainly wasnt my experience with KitchenAid. Anyway Im an advocate even though I had a problem and thought they deserved credit here.

We purchased a Dacor Oven model # ECS 136544 in 2009. Within two years, the relay board and thermostat in addition to an LED bulb required replacement. A year later, the broiler heating element and the second LED light required replacement. Dacors response (800-793-0093) was read your explicit warranty and the implied warranty under Section 2-314 of the Uniform Commercial Code isnt applicable. The total expense for repairs is over $1,000. Did we get a lemon, or are Dacor ovens prone to failure? Should we have been thinking Wolf?

I purchased a Dacor refrigerator. I needed to order filters. I called Dacor and ordered paying $178 plus a $29 2nd day shipping. They sent the wrong filters. The invoice is right. Outside box is right but inside were two Whirlpool filters. I called and asked them to send return label to ship back and to send the right filters. Deidra, the manager in customer service, said No, you must return those filters and yes, you were sent the wrong filters. They will come back into our warehouse and we will then send out your new filters. I said I paid 2nd day because I needed them now. She suggested me paying for two more. Whatever. I told her to send return label and I will order somewhere else. I wish I would have seen 226 consumer complaints before ever ordering anything from them.

We placed the new Dacor appliances that we’ve purchased in our second home in Big Bear Lake, California. The fact is we were in our second home approximately 10 times in the first two years. We had trouble with our Dacor dishwasher from the beginning. When you close the door, it wouldnt engage unless you close the door a number of times. It became progressively worse to the point where we brought out another repairperson - this time a certified Dacor repairperson. He got the washer going for a few minutes, only to not being able to complete a full cycle. We received an initial $89.95 bill, and during another contact we would have to pay an additional $400-plus for a motherboard and labor. We contacted Dacor, along with the contractor, a number of times. We had the history of this dishwasher which is causing problems.Dacor would not make it good, even though we spent more than $10,000 on other Dacor kitchen products. It simply doesnt make sense to me to not fix a sub-par dishwasher to keep a customer happy. Now, we are angry and will go on a number of sites to advertise our plight. We will install a new Bosch dishwasher as we have no confidence in Dacor and even less in their customer relations division.

I purchased my first Dacor appliances in 1991, built a second house in 2005 and again purchased Dacor double ovens and a cooktop. Loved them! Remodeled my current home and again purchased the double ovens and a cooktop. The double oven, DTO230FS, which was installed in November 2015, 4 years ago, stopped working. I was roasting asparagus and we smelled what seemed to be burning plastic. The oven is used about 4 times a month, I have never used the self cleaning feature therefore it is surprising that it broke. The repairman said that the relay board was bad and will need to order the part. He estimates that it will be $600 to fix it. Sad that I need to incur the repair cost of an oven that is only 4 years old.

I rarely write reviews but when I found your site, I decided it was time to vent. I bought a 36 dual fuel, convection Epicure range in 1999. It was not a cheap oven and I was excited at the possibilities of having a 16,000 BTU broiler and large oven cavity to work with. Lets just say that excitement quickly wore off. Almost immediately after the range went out of warranty, the ignitors went bad and we also had to replace the control panel ($400 in repairs was a lot back then). After that, we continued to have ignitor problems and replaced them again. Finally, I just stopped doing it and lit them with my aim and flame. I never allow my children to cook on the stove because I am afraid they will be burned. Most recently, my broiler element, relay board and again more ignitor problems ($1,200 in repairs). Not to mention, the repairman had a terrible time trying to access all the areas and was at my house for 4 hours trying to do so. When the initial problems happened, I emailed, phoned, left message, etc. to no avail with customer service (I use that term loosely). This company is the worst. I have told everyone I know never to buy a Dacor anything. Next time, Ill buy a Wolf.

We purchased a Dacor oven stove top. It is about 10 yrs old now. 3 years ago we had a problem with the ignitor and had it repaired and paid over $200.00 for the repair. 3 Years later we are experiencing a similar problem with the ignitors clicking on and not turning off. I have called for repairs on this but expect this will cost me some more money. I have been online and have seen similar complaints leading to believe that this is a common problem and I would avoid purchasing Dacor ignitor products for the stove top, until resolved.

Dacor appliances were installed in a new home I purchased. The refrigerator has been out of service every single year since purchasing the home. So far, two thermistors, one power supply board, one drip pan heater and one ice maker. Every time the unit fails, I have to wait several days for the authorized service provider to come to the house. That will then result in the need to secure a part that will require anywhere from three days to three weeks before the unit can be placed back into service. As you might guess, perishables dont last that long, so every event results in the loss of hundreds of dollars of food. After yet another extended outage experience, I called Dacor to find out what they might propose to make sure my refrigerator actually performs in a reliable manner (apparently I didnt get the fridge with that feature). The short version of the story is that they not only failed to ever apologize for the fact that their product doesnt work, they insisted I produce detailed documentation covering the last four years of service before they would consider taking any action. Shame on me for not keeping all the invoices from the two service companies. After numerous exchanges, an offer to pay for the part associated with the last repair, not the labor, was the best they could do. Apparently, $250 is too much for Dacor to invest in a customer who has paid several thousand dollars in repair bills and lost hundreds of dollars of food for a unit that is four years old. This is a company who obviously cannot design a product that works consistently and cant provide after sales support in an effective manner.

Steven, the customer service person advised me that this oven is no longer in warranty, and to call a repair service. I reiterated the concern for product safety. Follow-up to March 31 posting: In 2001, we installed two Dacor wall ovens and a gas (converted to propane) cook top. The cook top has been problem free and the brushed stainless steel surface still looks like new. Both ovens however, at that time, were problematic during the two year-warranty period. Knowledgeable service people were hard to come by in our region. After numerous service calls, Dacor replaced one of my wall ovens at or around the three-year mark (outside of the warranty period). That particular unit had only one minor issue since then and Dacor replaced the appropriate part free of charge. The other original unit has been problematic since the beginning. The latest problem being the internal light going on/off for no reason and then a lack of response to light button on the front control panel.Long story short, I posted my frustration here on March 31 and was contacted by a Dacor rep within two days. He asked me for detailed info on the problem and located the unit in their files. Some of the past repairs were known to Dacor, but others were not since we just did them ourselves. I was asked to send a detailed description of the current issue along with pictures, which I did. Based on Dacors analysis or the pictures and the exhibited problem, they sent me, free of charge, a control panel membrane, a door gasket and a set of door hinges. We installed these items and the unit is now in full working order. In looking back over the past years of problems with this particular unit, its clear to me the issues all stemmed from an original broken door hinge. It was compounded by the fact that the service and repair folks at the time considered the door gap to be within tolerance and we did not discover the broken hinge until the door glass shattered and we needed to replace it, which required removing the door. Anyway, at this stage in the game, I am very pleased with Dacors response. It is my impression that they are trying much, much harder to stand behind their products. So, while just a short time ago I would have never considered another Dacor product, when the time comes, they would still be on my list of considered vendors because when these ovens work, they work great.

This is our second Dacor wall oven. It is approximately 6 yrs old. December 22/14, I was cooking a Christmas turkey as per usual, and I noticed an odd smell about 40 mins. into cooking. Checking the turkey, the temp. was at 500 degrees and on broil. I burned holes in my oven mitts on the roaster taking it out. Even though I set the temp. at 325 convection roast, it reset itself to 500 broil. Nothing works except the clock. Called repair guy after the holidays. Said it is a control panel behind the keypad area. Ordered the part. Been waiting 4 months now for this part. Now, no Easter dinner either. After reading these complaints, I am worried that this part replacement may not be the end of it.

Dacor EO227SCH - double wall oven. Installed all Dacor appliances when we did a kitchen renovation in 2008. Stove top, Micro Wave and Warming Drawer each have been excellent. Example: lower oven quit working two days before this Thanksgiving - last week! Paid a high price to get Dacor and have paid thousands and spent countless hours on service calls since. Am totally dissatisfied with Dacor products and the companys refusal to stand behind its product. I tell everyone who is contemplating Dacor not to. We bought 3 very expensive Dacor appliances when we built our home 12 years ago. They have been a total disappointment. The microwave was replaced after just a couple of years when it just stopped working properly - including needing to stop it by opening the door! The wall ovens have needed many minor repairs which have amounted to several hundred dollars after labor charges. I see on this post others have had to repair the hinges! Ours have been replaced twice! The broiler came loose and was hanging on one side. The internal light also goes on and off by itself - sometimes in quick succession. At times, it stays on and cannot be turned off by the light button but by banging the front of the oven! Ridiculous! The cooktop cooks very unevenly. It goes from simmer to boiling over. The ceramic material did not hold up very well either. It is supposed to clean easy. But there are spills that have left permanent stains and we will be replacing that as well. We have also had Customer Service tell us items have been discontinued so we have no choice but to replace these appliances since replacement parts cannot be purchased any longer. This is a warning to anyone considering Dacor - DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There are far better appliances out there!

He said these should not go bad like they do. That this is poor manufacturing on Dacors part and they are not being held accountable. I agree 100%. My Dacor Double oven is less than 5 years old. Lately, the broil function has stopped working well on both ovens. I contacted the ONLY authorized Dacor repair center - Home Appliance Repair GTA (HARGTA) and told them my broiler wasnt working well. Their repair technician came to my house, took both double oven doors off in order to give me the assessment – that my upper broil function was not working well. In fact, both upper and lower do not work well but thats a side issue. In the process, the technician broke or did not properly reinstall my double oven door. I called and he returned and again, removed BOTH oven doors. Now, my upper door is working well but my lower door has no hinge and falls hard and heavy. This is extremely dangerous. I have left multiple messages with HARGTA and they are not getting back to me. Ive even contacted DACOR which is only in the US and they havent gotten back to me either. I purchased a Dacor oven to get a quality appliance and excellent after care service. It appears that both the appliance and the aftercare service do not live up to their reputations. P.S. The quote to repair 1 broiler is $750 after less than 5 years of use. That will equal 1/4 of the oven cost in less than 5 years.

ZERO STARS if I could but DISAPPOINTED - if I had to use one word to describe our experience with Dacor with not only our $8K+ 42 Built In Refrigerator that is sitting at 70+ degrees in the freezer and fridge sections but SO DISAPPOINTED with their poor customer service and lack of concern resolution tools for their team to even try to help. They are supposed to have high end luxury products. With that, anyone would expect to have a luxury customer experience. However, our family has been WITHOUT a working unit since January 6th. That is less than a month from when we had it installed but almost a month from today. We followed the proper protocols to get it repaired. Took almost two weeks to even get a technician. Once we did, he confirmed it needed to be replaced. We got approval and now learned we have wait another 2-3 weeks to get a separate decision to be made.Requested if there is any way to escalate our concerns but cant even talk to a supervisor for another 24-48 hours... Apparently they will call when it is convenient to them. Dacor - have some empathy for your customers! Imagine paying for a high end product to have no working fridge or freezer for a family of 6. Not sure how this is an acceptable practice. POOR QUALITY, UNTRUSTWORTHY, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I remodeled my kitchen about four years ago with all Dacor appliances. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I have since replaced the refrigerator after only two years. After spending over $1000 in repair calls and parts, I purchased a new refrigerator as the freezer motor went out and had water all over my floor countless times even after new parts were installed. The ovens also have been replaced (12 months ago) as the lower heating element went out and had the upper and lower ovens go out with panel failures. I was so stupid to install the 30-inch dishwasher, as well. It also went out after 18 months with a motherboard failure. The upper rack glider also fell apart. Having the 30- inch dishwasher, I would have had to have a carpenter come in and make adjustments to my new cabinets. So I found another 30-inch Dacor dishwasher at an appliance store in Memphis, had it shipped to me and installed. It has been 10 months and I am now having the same problem I had with the previous Dacor dishwasher. It never ends! With the only option left but to have the cabinet remodeled, I will be purchasing a third dishwasher 10 months later. The only good that came out of this is the cooktop is still working (as of this date). All I can say is, if it says Dacor, dont purchase the product! This company shouldnt even be in business! What is even more pathetic is, when you call the Customer Service number, their representatives have such a I could care less attitude. It is a waste of time to even attempt to seek a solution to your problem. I guess they feel that since they have your money now, its the consumers problem, not theirs.GE Profile products are far superior and a lot less money. It goes to show an expensive price tag doesnt mean the product is superior.

My husband and I built our home and moved in November 2002. We purchased a Dacor Double Oven, Dacor 5-Burner Electric Cooktop and a Dacor Microwave. After the second year of living in our home, we started having problems with our double ovens. It would start beeping at different times. Sometimes it would last a few times to off and on for days. Then it would stop beeping and not return for a year. Now the beeping has started again and now it is displaying off. It wont come on. We have turned the breaker off and back on because sometimes that would reset it but not this time. Now before I could call anyone out to look at it, my 5 burner electric oven is dead. I called Metro in Tulsa, OK which is where we purchased them and they gave us the name of a repair person in our town. He came out and told us that we needed new boards for both appliances and charged us $50.00 a piece just for the evaluation. Now one week later, he is calling us and telling us that our 5 burner electric oven is discontinued! I dont want to have to purchase a new oven! I will also say that on my microwave, where the time is displayed it is blank across one line. I didnt even ask to have it look at. Please help!

Replacement light for the oven - I could not find anyone that carries the halogen bulbs for my oven and called Dacor parts line. The bulbs come in a package of two. They were $79.95. I was told I should have called two months ago, that they were $29.95. So would I buy another Dacor Appliance? I think not.

Purchased Dacor Wall Oven EO130SCH in 2011. Rarely used, so never used the self cleaning function. Occasionally wipe with microfiber cloth, eco-friendly cleaners like vinegar and Bon Ami and elbow grease. First problem in 2017 when the oven would not heat up, just before I had guests coming to stay with us. Dacor repair personnel could not make it out for a few weeks, so repaired the issue myself by resetting the thermostat with some creativity and effort. Next problem in 2018 with a U43 relay board error. Can use it for a while if turn off the power to the fuse box for a while, but in 2019 it also started making a clicking noise, and basically not functioning right before I needed it for a party. Cant replace the relay board (which costs more than $300 for the part itself) without pulling out the oven. But why is the relay board failing so quickly? Is there a fan cooling issue? Have talked to Dacor. Poorly designed, poor quality. I would never recommend Dacor.

After remodeling our kitchen, we purchased a professional line Dacor stand alone gas range/oven. Within a year, the heating element needed to be replaced. Subsequently, the control panel almost caught fire and needed replacement, following a second heating element. The oven is not reliable and has cost us over $600 in repairs, labor and parts. The Dacor company is not willing to recognize that this oven is a lemon, even though their rep admitted that the number of repairs seem to exceed the average number. The company refuses to pay for a tech to come in to examine why this range continue to have electrical problems. It is not working again, and the customer service rep wants us to pay out more money to have their tech diagnose the problem and pay the cost of repairs and labor, while they will cover the cost of the parts. I am done paying out more money on a defective appliance. I could have purchased two new less expensive (and more reliable) ovens by now.

We acquired a $7,500 Dacor refrigerator when we bought a house this year. The fridge was only 5 years old. First of all it made horrendous noise when operating. Secondly the ice maker didnt work. Thirdly the freezer cooling unit died last week. How can a $7,500 refrigerator be designed so badly? I found out through Dacors authorized service company that it was quite likely the freezer could be fixed with a $400 part and some $250 in labor. The technician hinted that this problem was quite common with Dacor refrigerators. I contacted Dacor and suggested that their Internet reviews were terrible and they should help defray the costs of their premature failed unit. I was thinking that for a 5 year old product they should reimburse 50-75% of the total cost to repair. They said they would give me a 25% discount on the retail value of the parts only. In other words - I would be on the hook for at least $600 of the estimated $700 fix. This was a slap in the face. They dont seem to realize that their companys future business is only built on satisfied customers. I cant believe such expensive equipment can be so poorly designed and supported. Mercedes Benz... they are not. Lest anyone think that I am a frothing upset complaining consumer - I will tell you that I am currently retired, and formerly CEO of a $200 million public software company. I know something about building a business and I know something about focusing on customer satisfaction. I would urge anyone reading this review to stay away from all Dacor products. The Company has shown itself to be undeserving of any American consumers business!

Arrived in good condition and so far works perfectly. Delivery was delayed by one day because of the incompetence of my local mail service. I bought this microwave, as others have described, to replace a 13 year old Dacor that had not really died but had lost the electronic screen. We put magic marker numbers on the display screen where the numbers had been 5 years ago and kept using all the functions. I decided to replace as, without the display screen, I could not do anything semi sophisticated with this microwave but its motor and microwave capacity was still going strong. This model fits perfectly into the previous 24/27 trim kit. Unfortunately our other trim kit is white to match our old microwave. Decor only has stainless steel now. And the new trim kit for this microwave is flat without the vent slats (plus costs over $300!). From the placement in our cabinet, I think the vented slats are really important to dissipate heat and am puzzled by the change in design by Dacor. The slats are a little tedious to clean but as a TV is above the microwave and an oven below I want the heat to have a better place to go. Ebay has the old trim kit in stainless steel but so far the expense seems excessive for just the outside piece. The internal support bracket for the new microwave is exactly the same as for the previous model so the only part of the trim kit needed for my microwave is the outside frame. This newer model works very similarly to the older version. I am delighted Dacor still makes this microwave to fit my space 13 to 15 years later.

The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house in 2010. I would never buy any Dacor product again. I will have to look for a replacement for the gas cooktop range. The Dacor gas cooktop is OK except that EVERY time you turn on a burner, one or two of other igniters start clicking and wont stop until you find which one it is (not always the same) and turn it on and off. Please heed this and all the other warnings from the choir. DO NOT BUY DACOR!It is all very expensive junk. The oven temperatures fluctuate while baking. The oven range unit is out of warranty. So our home warranty AHS covered it but they kept sending out the same grubby slob who never fixed the problem but did charge us for the $75.00 service fee. They replaced the oven controller and the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. We have a full size oven that we cannot use! Then F1 beeping nonstop, and we have to turn power off to stop it. Now, out of the blue the downdraft fan just started extending and retracting over and over again with no way to stop it without going back to the electrical panel and flipping the breaker that it is wired into. That leaves us with no kitchen and no bathroom plugs! I hung up after 35 minutes on hold. I was just trying to find a certified technician in Bend, OR. As an add-on to my original review, I had a a service call to address the LC error code. The service company reconnected my unit, turned it on, ran a couple tests, and declared there was no issue. We ran the dishwasher 1 cycle and it worked just fine. Tried to run it again later that day, and the LC code was back again. To resolve the issue, I worked with the company I bought my appliances through to replace the Dacor dishwasher with a Bosch. That happened today, so it is too early to tell say how the Bosch works, but it is more solidly built, has more capacity and the door fully opens with the panel installed.Dacor did reach out to me to try to resolve this issue, so kudos to their customer support, but the issues were just too many. And as I stated in my original review, love the Dacor range top, double oven and refrigerator.

We purchased a Dacor induction range 5 years ago which cost $5000 plus installation parts and service costs totalling $10000. Two days ago, an error code showed up indicating that the generator needs replacement. I contacted Dacor who states that the part is discontinued but that I could contact a refurbishing company (Corecentric) to send my generator to for possible repair. A service technician would have to remove the generator, I would send the part to Corecentric, then IF they can repair it, the tech needs to reinstall it. There are no service providers that Dacor referred me to that will service a refurbished part. Even if I wanted to try, I as an owner, cannot remove it myself because Dacor does not provide the service manual to do so. I spoke to Dacor multiple times about this problem and management stated that since the product is so out of warranty that they cannot offer any other repair option, compensation, or replacement even if the part is deemed unrepairable by Corecentric. When you pay $10000 for a product I expect it to last more than five years and that a reputable company would stand by their product and service. Essentially, Dacor inferred that we are out of $10000 because a part that POSSIBLY can be refurbished for $215 plus service costs, cant get serviced and Dacor takes no further responsibility. I have heard stories from appliance providers and service providers that since Dacor joined Samsung, that their customer service is poor and products have become inferior.

We built a new home in 2004. All appliances were Dacor. Since then, the oven has had to be repaired 4 times; the microwave had to be replaced; the cooktop has had two repairs and now will not light automatically; and the patio barbeque completely burned up and some of the parts melted. I did report that to the company and to the US Product Safety Commission. We have not abused any of these appliances and have followed the manufacturer recommendations all of the time. In 2010 we purchased a new Dacor Epicure Stainless Steel 42 refrigerator/freezer. Weve had to replace the freezer heating element (twice) because it fails and then the freezer ices up causing the system to stop cooling. This past week the fan began making a noise and so we had repairmen come out (yet again). Technician confirmed that the pan motor (fan in freezer) has failed. NO PART is available... I couldnt believe that parts wouldnt be available for a $10,000 high-end refrigerator that was purchased new only ten years old. I called Dacor directly and asked them how long they make parts available after they retire a model. The Dacor representative told me that they make parts available for 7 years. 7 YEAR PART AVAILABILITY ON AN APPLIANCE THAT SHOULD LAST 15-20 YEARS??? RUN AWAY FROM DACOR. Obviously customer service is low on their priority list. We will be replacing our gorgeous $10,000 ten-year old Dacor refrigerator/freezer (now a boat anchor) with Sub-Zero. Not too much more money than Dacor but they continue to make parts available for twenty years following model retirement. That is the kind of company that I want to do business with.

I purchase a home with a Dacor double oven. Unfortunately the oven begins transmitting multiple beeps and the touch panel will sometimes read off after beeping a while. I contacted the staff at Dacor requesting a service manual. They refused to send me a service manual and stated that only authorized technicians can service their equipment. Its obvious they used google or a local phone book and sent me contacts of appliance repair shops in my area. When I called, they had never heard of Dacor let alone be factory authorized. I called Appliance repair shops up to 50 miles away to find there were no Dacor Dealers. I found one 70 miles away but it was too far to send a technician. If I remove my oven from the wall and take it there they would attempt to look at it. I had to reverse engineer the thing to find that my touch panel has gone bad and now I cannot find a used one. I want to recommend that anyone considering an appliance DO NOT PURCHASE A DACOR! If you are looking for high end stick to SubZero / Wolf. Oddly enough I see that there hasnt been any reviews for the past 5 years. Maybe it appears people have stopped buying Dacor appliances.

We purchased this range after remodeling our kitchen. We opted for the Dacor because of the deep oven that the other high end ovens did not have. I am an avid baker so this was a plus. After a year and half the oven stopped working, it was not getting hot. Thankfully is was still under warranty and it was repaired. The technician determined it was the oven control thermostat that was not working. Fast forward two years and again the same problem, along with the right front burner now also not working. And wouldnt you know it, the warranty is expired. Another technician came out again and stated to fixed the two problems it would be approx $250.00 just for labor and not including parts. CRAZY INSANE!!! If we would have known all the problems and we would have purchased either a Wolf, a Thermador or even a Monogram. How can so many issues and problems be happening with an range that is only 4 years old? Especially one that costs over $6000. It has to be a lemon or poorly manufactured. Ive contacted Dacor and was told they need to review my file to make a determination on what they want to do. REALLY, you dont need to be a rocket scientist to know there is a problem. We did a complete kitchen remodel 2 years ago. My husband talked me into purchasing american made over the Bosch products that I preferred. This has been a horrible experience. The dishwasher does not clean. I was told to prime the water and purchase the higher end platinum packs. That did not work, then it was add lemi shine. That has not worked. The water never completely drains, ugh old water. A service tech could not tell me where the rinse aid indicator light was and insisted mine did not come with one! Microwave does not heat in an adequate time. All listed times I have to double time if not more. I was told to put a Rubbermaid container over the food product to insulate the waves... ha! Oven does not regulate heat. when I go to increase the heat during stated recipe, the screen always say 50 even though I would have it at 375. I was told it always will revert back to 350, really. I had all Kenmore appliances prior to the Dacor and never had a problem... Do not buy, I wish I hadnt. We are filing this with BBB and headed to small claims court.. This should be fun. Also installed two under the counter warming drawers - nothing but problems and repair expense. Now we need a small $25 part - a cooling fan with motor that is faulty. Was informed the part is no longer available - customer service told me well, it is 10 years old. Really? Two years ago, we redid our total kitchen at considerable expense. All of the appliances we replaced were made by Dacor. They included: 1) a 36-inch refrigerator model EF 36/wf; 2) a dual wall oven, model EO230SCH; 3) a gas cook top, Model RGC304; 4) a dishwasher, ModelEDWH24S and; 5) a range hood, ModelEH3012SCH. The problems started within a two months of installation. The refrigerator stopped running due to a relay failure and a compressor problem; both were replaced by Dacor at no cost to us. It was inconvenient but not costly. A short time later, the lower wall oven stopped working as well as the lights in both ovens. This required the replacement of the main control panel (control circuit board). Dacor paid to have it repaired. The clock does not keep accurate time and gains about an hour a day. We decided to leave it well enough alone and did not have it fixed. After the one-year warranty expired, the lower oven quit again. This time, it had to be removed from the wall and an exhaust fan in the lower oven was defective and had to be replaced. Dacor’s initial response was it was out of warranty, so it was up to me to cover repairs. They eventually agreed to supply the part (about $90) but we had to spend several hundred dollars to install. Now, the lower oven takes an extremely long time to heat up, and again we decided to leave it well enough alone. Recently, there was a loud flash in the vent hood; one of the bulbs apparently burned out. My wife tried to turn off the lights in the hood but the light switch apparently blew when the light went and could not turn them off. After a couple of burned fingers and a melted bulb removal tool, I managed to get the other bulb out. A call to Dacor got the usual out of warranty response. I called the local Dacor authorized service rep. He looked at the problem ($95) and said he would have to call Dacor. After he talked to Dacor, they called me and said they would send a replacement control board but would not pay for the service calls. The service company said the next service call would be $195. One light bulb burned out: cost $290. I suspect that every hood unit that Dacor made with this control board is also defective. We have had to replace the halogen bulbs with great regularity. We have halogen bulbs in our boat that have lasted at least 15 years. There was another complaint on this board that had a similar problem with the vent hood. He decided to fix it himself. He is an Electrical Engineer his comments are worth reading and speak to the inadequate design of this unit. It is a shame that the Dacor appliances appear to be near the bottom in terms of reliability. Consumer Reports that their gas cook tops appear to be the least reliable. It looks like I have something to look forward to. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Dacor to anyone. In fact, I would recommend that they not purchase any Dacor product that does not have a full multi-year warranty.

Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked within nine months. Dacor said it was a defect in the design and would fix it for free. I sold the house in 2001 but the range was still not fixed. I moved to Nevada and bought a new rsd30 range and same thing happened within six months. It took a year to get it fixed at their expense. This bevel also cracked again for the second time in March 2011. Their response to this was to offer me a new bevel for $180 and I would have to pay for the installation. I declined the offer. The bevel is still cracked at this time. At the same time, I bought a PMOR30 over the range microwave and the front handle broke at least four times. And finally, the whole thing broke down and was not repairable. In Aug. 2008, I contacted Dacor and they agreed to replace it with a new DMT2420 over the counter microwave for half the price ($390). Last week, this one blew up on me. Sparks were coming out through the side and a big hole in the removable shield and burn damage to the wall of the unit. I do not believe this unit is repairable. I contacted Michael at Dacor. He apologized and said that theres nothing they can do about it as it is out of warranty but they will look into it. What I want at this point is my money back that I paid for ($390) and for them to pick up the unit and get it out of my house. I will never buy another Dacor product again.

The idea that they would take apart and reassemble a brand new oven and consider that acceptable service makes me angry. This is supposed to be a high end company. I was told the replacement parts were not cheap though. I was told that because were the second owner of the house they couldnt fix it under warranty (even though it should be covered under warranty) because they couldnt say how it was used before (commercially or residentially). We remodeled our kitchen in 2002 and chose the Dacor 36 dual-fuel range. I was preparing a pork roast for a dinner party with the oven on Bake. The roast was just not coming up to temperature, though the display indicated that the oven was at the temperature I set. I wound up slicing the roast and cooking it on the griddle; my hungry guests were getting restless. Then I tracked the oven heat for an entire day with an oven thermometer. The oven would come up to temperature and then cool off. I sent these numbers to Dacor and asked customer service for an explanation. Believe it or not, the conversation was--Dacor: The temperature is going down because the fan is coming on. Youre not supposed to use the Bake setting, but only the Convection Bake or Pure Convection. Me: Why is the Bake button there, then? Dacor: Were taking it out in the next production run. (This hasnt happened. My sister-in-law bought a Dacor last year before I could warn her and the button is still there.) Also, after using the self-clean one time, I noticed a crack on the inside of the oven door, starting in the corner of the window. The inside of the window is now permanently spotted with baked-on grease. Now my oven does not work at all. The repairman says that the circuit board needs to be replaced, and if Im lucky, it will work for a couple of years. The repair will cost around $700 including labor. The repairman told me that some repairmen in our area will not even work on Dacors because there are so many problems. Im considering replacing the stove... a very expensive mistake. Beware of Dacor products.

We have a Dacor gas range RSD30R that we bought to upgrade our kitchen in 2002. We have had several issues with the range to date. The first issue we had with the range was the auto lock for the oven cleaning cycle that failed in 2007. It was not covered under warranty and cost $88. The second item to fail were the oven door springs. They also failed in 2007 and covered under warranty. They failed again in 2017 and had to be replaced for a second time. The springs are too weak to hold the weight of the heavy door. $68-$78 for the springs. The springs could easily be changed out as the brackets are still good but they only come as complete units. The last item to fail were the ignitors. Only one ignitor failed out of the four but as the spark module ignites all burners every time any one is turned on, premature failure could be expected as all ignitors light every time. This time the part is no longer available from Dacor. Dacor does not support any products they build after 7-8 years. Parts will no longer be available. I would not recommend Dacor Appliances to anyone as the manufacturer does not support their own products very long. I purchased Dacor to buy American and I regret it now. In contrast every product that Miele made even 20+ years ago, parts are still available directly from Miele and other suppliers as well.

Im on my second Dacor 36 range! I absolutely love this product. The large grates on the cooktop allow me to have multiple things going at the same time and the size of the oven is amazing. The oven takes a full commercial sheet which allows me to cook 3 or 4 dozen cookies at a time! Dacors convection system is undeniably the best in class. I can roast garlic and bake a cake at the same time with zero flavor transfer! My turkey at Thanksgiving is so amazing Martha Stewart would adopt me if she could see it! It truly makes the kitchen the heart of the home, not only is it aesthetically pleasing but it is the center of all things yummy at our house!

We did a total kitchen remodel and purchased Dacor appliances. Big mistake. Had to spend 500 on refrigerator repair (model EF36BNDFSS). Oven is off 25 degrees on temperature. The glass top for burners was defective. Would never purchase Dacor. Microwave front trim keeps coming off as well.

We purchased our range (Dacor Dual Fuel Range RSD30) in about 1997 thinking we had a good investment. We have replaced the bezel 5 times (the area that encloses the control area). Today the door glass has cracked. Whooppee! Merry Christmas! Each time I called about the bezel, I was told that they had a design flaw. The last time we had to replace the bezel and also pay for installation ourselves. We decided if this happened again, we would get rid of it. Well, it will be sooner than later as the oven glass has cracked. Needless to say, we are not return customers.

Have had an on-going issue trying to replace an oven door....since early December 2020. Have gotten a continuous run around regarding status of new door and shipment of same. Friendly Customer Service Reps do nothing to solve this issue. The oven door is designed not to be repairable or user friendly. Poor support and steady excuses have created another DIS-SATISFIED CUSTOMER!! AVOID DACOR!!

Regarding my previous complaint on 3/21/12, I had a Dacor fridge, model #EF42BDCBSS, installed in my brand new kitchen in March 2008 (Ive a kitchen full of Dacor). It subsequently had a problem with the drip pan in March 2009 and was fixed on warranty. Come March 2012, the fridge was again diagnosed with the same problem. The technician told me there had been a design problem, but after three re-designs, it was remedied and should have no further problems once the new part was installed. The bill, $658 and more than half, was for the part! Of course, I was livid because the fridge had been fixed in 2009 and was now off warranty. When I expressed myself originally, I was simply venting about the price of the repair without hope of a remedy. James at Dacor customer service called me promptly that next morning and left a message! We subsequently talked and he immediately got in touch with my local appliance service center. He not only worked out with them refunding my deposit for the part but also ordered two other parts that were necessary in order to fix the problem. The outcome? They fixed my fridge at no charge to me for parts or labor, and all I had to pay was the original trip and diagnosis charge. I cant begin to tell you how extremely happy and grateful I am about this. Thank you, James, for such terrific follow-through and thank you Dacor for being a top-notch business who stands behind your products!

We chose DACOR (8-burner double oven top of the line ERD60S06CH/LP) in 2006
We chose DACOR (8-burner double oven top of the line ERD60S06CH/LP) in 2006, new construction because we disliked the signature blue interior of another luxury brand. Last October I detected a gas leak from one of the burners. The authorized repair company was contacted, and the entire unit - all 8 burners and both ovens were out of commission while we waited for the replacement part. Six weeks later the repair guy returned with the wrong part. We had to wait an additional month for the repair guy to return. Apparently, not important that people might want to cook and bake before the Holidays! After the new valve was replaced the oven light began to turn on when any of the gas valves on the defective side was turned on. I write this review 8 months into the problem. I can fix for $700 by ordering a new control panel. I wish I had read these reviews earlier. I overheard the tech say that there was electrical interference and that the wires need to be insulated to stop the oven light from turning on and off. I am so FED up with both the Dacor California head office not caring and the horrible authorized service company. I will take this unit apart myself and fix it. DACOR IS GARBAGE. Go with Sub-Zero, Miele and forget this Brand. DACOR: Dont Accept Crap Or Rubbish! Made in America? Shame on you. No problems with 4 Sub-Zero fridges, or 4 Miele dishwasher the same age.

I purchased a Dacor Renaissance range for our new home. What a waste of money. Though I have not had any major problems with the performance of the range yet, besides uneven baking, the design is not user-friendly. To begin with, the gas burners share a grate. So when cleaning, you have to remove the whole grate on one side. The controls for the burners & griddle are very hard to see & I have to bend over to see which burner Im turning on. The oven racks are a joke. The two glide racks are very bulky with sharp edges. It is difficult to change the heights or to remove them for cleaning purposes. Though there are three racks included, it is impossible to bake with all three in the oven.I have a GE Monogram that I had purchased two years ago for another home, and I love it The Renaissance & Monogram are similar in price, but I unfortunately, listened to the sales person & let them talk me into the Renaissance. I realized my mistake in buying a Dacor immediately & contacted the appliance store. Even though the Renaissance had not been used, they would only give me a token amount of money towards trading it in for a Monogram. So, I am stuck with a range that causes me to swear under my breath every time I use it. Dacor could learn a lot from GE.
