We bought our F&P Dish Drawer DD603 in 2002 during a kitchen remodel along with new countertops, Sub-zero, stove, microwave, etc. I would say we use our dishwasher regularly but no more than expected and especially at the price we paid. That said, I think at this point, Ive paid in repair costs pretty much what I paid for the unit plus extended warranty plus installation back then. When our extended service warranty ran out years ago, the DIY in me took on the task of diagnosing, buying, and replacing the parts myself.However, Im now at the point of deciding whether to cut my losses and toss the whole thing out. Last Oct., there was a leak, which rendered the unit inoperable. I replaced the shorted main filter board, both top and bottom wiring harness, and the bottom controller. All was well for about a month. Then, it looked like the top drawers lid wasnt closing securely as I find moisture on the side of the tub after a complaint of beeping dilemma. (She swears there wasnt anything remotely big in the tub that would prevent the lid from closing.) In any case, the top drawer controller seems to be a goner.Last night, I replaced the top controller. The top unit did light up, but my wife did the trial run using the bottom drawer instead. The top drawer practically beeped all night and no amount of coaxing, turn off, lock, open drawer, etc., would silence it. No codes, just R2D2 on a binge. Whats next? Replace the main filter again, a bad controller, replace the actuators, the entire lid, etc.? I have two choices now: (a) somehow rig this unit to see if it can operate with the good bottom drawer only or (b) cut my losses, parcel out my recently purchased parts on eBay, and replace the dishwasher? One of my neighbors bought the same F&P DD unit, but Im afraid to check with her about her experience.

I purchased an F&P dryer a few years ago and after replacing the heating elements 3 or 4 times while under warranty and trying to blame me, the vent, or my electricity, which they couldnt support after inspection, and after I ruined a couple hundred dollars worth of clothes when the heating element broke and remained on when the dryer had stopped (not to mention getting burned when I reached in expecting the dryer to be cold since it had gone through is cooling cycle), F &P replaced my dryer with a newer model. Well, the elements on this model have gone out of it multiple times. Yes, my vents are clean, yada yada yada. I did have to laugh that they changed their warranty to 1 year because of their cost in repairing the elements and other parts. They recommended I move my dryer to an exterior wall so that it had an extremely short exhaust run. They also told me they beefed up the elements to make them more durable. Unfortunately, the elements cost more than $80.00 each time they break, and because F&P hasnt been forced to fix the problem, we as consumers are expected to continue to pad their pocket with repair costs. I should add that twice, when a tech was in my house, he wouldnt put my dryer back together to use with one working element because he said it was a fire hazard. Fire hazard! Does somebody have to die before F&P actually addresses this issue? It has been brought to their attention.

I got one wash cycle out of it and it stopped draining. All we get is error code #37. Weve researched this error code 37 and tried to fix it ourselves and cannot. We now have to go out and buy a new one. I plan to purchase an Amana which we had before that lasted for 8 years without one repair ever.

I purchased a Fisher and Paykel fridge model e52213. We had issues with the ice machine not working and then the water dispenser stopped working shortly after buying the fridge. The fridge technician could not isolate the problem. We had ongoing problems with ice temperature and back light display. I sourced the issue with the fridge myself due to the smell of burning wires in the top of the door. I noticed that the wire has no second insulation and that the action of the door could wear or cut by crimping in this area.Three of the wires on our unit have been cut and the other wires are bare. I feel this could be the cause of problems for a lot of other people with this model fridge with ongoing beeping and flashing lights and no temp control. Our fridge is just out of warranty but if the wires had not rubbed or crimped, our fridge would still be operating. I feel this is a design hazard rather than a warranty issue. Our fridge is a right to left opening model. I am not sure if this would make a difference. Looking forward to your response.

Lo compramos porque se pod√≠a construir para que encajara en el dise√Īo de nuestra nueva cocina. Hace dos d√≠as, nos dimos cuenta de que un charco de agua hab√≠a empezado a abrirse paso por el suelo. Llamamos y nos dijeron que la pr√≥xima cita de servicio disponible era el 8 de febrero, dentro de 19 d√≠as.El problema es que vendimos nuestra casa y nos vamos en 4 d√≠as, a mudarnos fuera del estado. Fisher nos dio el nombre de un reparador subcontratado. Esperamos dos d√≠as para una cita con √©l. Acaba de marcharse y nos ha dicho que el frigor√≠fico se instal√≥ de forma incorrecta para empezar y que ahora necesita una pieza que deber√≠a haberse utilizado en primer lugar. Well, nobody whose products are imported into New Zealand, anyway. I dont need a freezer. I lost confidence in Fisher Paykel many years ago. It is so hard to believe this company was once so highly revered by every New Zealand housewife. They made washing machines and fridges that never break down; well, not until well into old age. I still have in use a chest freezer made by them in the 1970s. They must have made enough profit in those days making products that lasted. Why cant they still do so? My fridge is only 6 weeks old and appears to be working fine. The two stars is not for the fridge but the company.

Por desgracia, tuve que recurrir al servicio de atenci√≥n al cliente de Fisher andamp; Paykel y ¬°qu√© pesadilla! ¬°Hubiera sido m√°s f√°cil comprar una marca diferente que aguantar la mierda que sacaron.Seg√ļn F andamp; P como uso la secadora todos los d√≠as es mi culpa (¬°y no me extra√Īa!) la m√°quina se rompi√≥! (esto se repiti√≥ hoy cuando habl√© de nuevo con la empresa). Hablando con el encantador t√©cnico este problema se repite una y otra vez con este modelo. Pero la empresa no va a sustituirla por un producto m√°s fiable (el que procede, el DE45F56) sino que seguir√° enviando lo que parece ser una m√°quina t√©cnicamente defectuosa. Y lo que es peor, tardar√°n dos semanas en reparar la m√°quina. ¬ŅPOR QU√Č? Mi consejo es que elijan un modelo m√°s antiguo o, mejor a√ļn, que se decanten por otra marca, ¬°es tan decepcionante!

Despu√©s de tres visitas durante un mes y tras sustituir varias piezas, el t√©cnico se dio por vencido y dijo: No puedo arreglarlo, por favor llame al servicio t√©cnico de la f√°brica. Envi√© un correo electr√≥nico al departamento de servicio t√©cnico de Fisher Paykel y recib√≠ una respuesta inmediata confirmando mi solicitud y 2 d√≠as despu√©s se confirm√≥ la llamada del servicio t√©cnico. El amable hombre del servicio t√©cnico lleg√≥ pronto (algo muy poco habitual en los servicios t√©cnicos). Ech√≥ un vistazo al lavavajillas, hizo un diagn√≥stico de software de cinco minutos, quit√≥ la tapa frontal del lavavajillas superior y se√Īal√≥ la caja de control y dijo que eso es lo que est√° mal. Una peque√Īa leng√ľeta de pl√°stico de la caja de control estaba rota y la caja estaba suelta.Me explic√≥ que debido a la edad del lavavajillas el pl√°stico se vuelve fr√°gil y empez√≥ a romperse. Me dio el precio de la caja nueva, muy razonable y mencion√≥ que ten√≠a una en su cami√≥n. Se adelant√≥ a conseguir la nueva caja. Cerr√≥ la tapa, prob√≥ el lavavajillas y sali√≥ a la siguiente llamada de servicio en 20 minutos. Me cost√≥ 330 d√≥lares por un trabajo bien hecho. Gran servicio y si tienes un lavavajillas Fisher Paykel no llames a otro que no sea el departamento de servicio de Fisher Paykel. Gran servicio. Gracias.

Tenía reservado un técnico de Fisher Paykel para arreglar nuestro lavavajillas. Una vez más tuve que tomarme medio día libre en el trabajo para asegurarme de no perder la llamada. Por segunda vez consecutiva recibo un mensaje de texto que dice: El técnico está en camino y puedes seguir su proceso, seguido de un correo electrónico 2 minutos después que dice: El técnico llamó y no había nadie en casa. El servicio de atención al cliente supuestamente no puede ponerse en contacto con el técnico y la próxima cita disponible no es hasta dentro de 2 semanas. Nuestro lavavajillas lleva ya más de 2 meses averiado. No volvería a comprar un producto Fisher Paykel.

They were also told to replace the bearing. That was done. The technician that came out said a roller needs to replaced as well, so he ordered the parts and that is to be installed next week.

Pero ya los hab√≠amos visto antes en Londres. Compramos un refrigerador. No empez√≥ muy bien. Cuando lo compramos, nos mostraron una peque√Īa abolladura en la puerta delantera que nos pareci√≥ bien, y nos rebajaron el precio. Cuando lleg√≥ aqu√≠, parec√≠a tener un par de abolladuras que no hab√≠amos visto antes en √©l. No sabemos si se nos escaparon o se produjeron cuando lo bajaron. Pero lo trajeron y los mandos no funcionaban. Funcionaba como nevera pero no se pod√≠a controlar nada. As√≠ que nos quejamos al lugar donde lo compramos, y no se les permiti√≥ hacer el mantenimiento durante el primer a√Īo. Tuvimos que llamar a un servicio t√©cnico de St. Thomas. Fueron buenos, lo revisaron y no funcionaba. Tuvieron que pedir una nueva unidad de control del panel frontal y tardaron unas dos o tres semanas. Lo trajeron, lo conectaron y desde entonces funciona bien. El aparato es bueno una vez que est√° en funcionamiento, pero en el lugar donde lo compramos no volver√≠amos a poner un pie en la puerta porque no recibimos un buen servicio.

We bought Fisher Paykel washer last year and I cant say enough good things about it so when our Maytag drier broke I bought the Fisher Paykal drier that matched the washer even though the salesman recommended another brand. Ive given the drier several months and I still hate it. The worst problem is that the auto dry function does not work. The clothes consistently come out over dried. In fact Im surprised my bedspread didnt catch on fire in the drier. When I removed it (because I felt it had been in the drier too long) the panel still said it was damp but it was so cooked that it was completely puckered up and crisp in places. I had to replace it. Clothes still have lint all over them and I hate the fact that the timer can only be set for predetermined amounts of time and that I have to wait for the lid to unlock every time I want to open the lid. It‚€ôs a bad design flaw! I wish I could replace it but it seems Im stuck with it now. All I can do is to warn others.

This is the third F+P 2-drawer dishwasher we bought; two of them are in our rental flats in London, England. Both have been okay and the service in London was excellent. The one we have in Pennsylvania, I knew when it was problematic there would be no service. These hicks here dont even know what the brand name is.F+P New Zealand recommended two service companies. First, one guy never heard of the equipment but booked his in law to do the service. On the day of the service after waiting a week, the wife of the guy said he has the flu and must cancel. We have been down since Christmas day and its now the 9th of Jan. She didnt know when he could reschedule. The other one had an answering service and I left a message 10 days ago and again twice today, the 10th. The service leads you to a message that says leave your number which I did now 3 times. And if we want faster service, email them at a certain address which we did only to get a message that 10 days ago they changed their address to something else. Still no calls. This is hopeless and I do not recommend anyone to buy this unit in the US unless you are in the bigger cities where service companies are plentiful and they know the products. I loved the unit until I tried to get it serviced. I will never buy another and we own 46 properties.

The washer has been worked on twice and once the repairman left off a hose and water filled my floor and messed up some of my flooring. Then the dryer had been worked on two or three times and right now it sounds like the whole drum is about to come out. I am tired of having to call a repairman to take care of problems. I tried to tell the people that I bought it from that I thought it was a lemon from the get go, because I had not had it maybe 1 month when it had to be worked on the first time. I would not recommend anyone to buy your products, because I have been very disappointed with your products. I still say that I have a lemon and that I should have been given another one in the beginning. That is what happens when you buy a lemon automobile. Appliances cost too much these days to have to keep having them repaired, because the average person nowadays have been cut back in their pay checks and are not able to afford repair bills.

And my wife watches the cooking show and mentioned that Fisher/DCS was one of the good brands and so we purchased a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator. The new refrigerator doesn‚€ôt keep things as cool as the old refrigerator does. The drinks and everything else was cold in the refrigerator, not just the freezer. I thought it was the problem of the refrigerator so I had to go to their place. It seems like it‚€ôs designed to keep things at around the 40-degree mark and not much colder - I never really had to pay attention to these details before. Maybe it‚€ôs the way the refrigerator operates and refrigeration is supposed to happen, how it‚€ôs supposed to work. Maybe I‚€ôm just used to a refrigerator that keeps everything too cold.

It was one of the most expensive refrigerators I‚€ôve ever bought in my life - it was $1600. I‚€ôm married for 35 years and I‚€ôve had refrigerators before this. I was shocked at the price but had to buy it because of the size (it had to fit into a specific area). I also wanted a stainless and a refrigerator on top. It had so many of the things I wanted. It was delivered November of 2012.I love the F&P refrigerator except I do have an issue with it that I did go back to the appliance store to tell them that when I opened up the door, something came flying out of the refrigerator. I told them, ‚€úLook at this piece, what do I do.‚€Ě The guy looked at it and said, ‚€úOh that just goes underneath the door of the refrigerator, just glue it.‚€Ě I said, ‚€úGlue it? You know this refrigerator is only 6 months old - really?‚€Ě He goes, ‚€úYeah, there‚€ôs nothing wrong with your refrigerator right?‚€Ě I said, ‚€úCorrect‚€Ě ‚€úSo well, just glue it. It‚€ôs fine. Because if I send out a repair man, that‚€ôs what they‚€ôre going to do and they‚€ôre gonna charge you.‚€Ě So I still have the piece here and it doesn‚€ôt impede or impact what‚€ôs going on with the refrigerator. Never hearing about this product, he convinced me it‚€ôs the best out there and their biggest seller. Boy, he was wrong! The washer sounds like a jet airplane when it spins. Sometimes, I have to spin them twice to get all the water out. The bearings in the dryer have been replaced 2-3 times, the thermostat, sensor module, and central module. Each time was at least $100 or more for a total of 5-6 times. I contacted a representative and was given a case number. Today, I called because the bearings are going again. That means another service charge. The next step will be the curb!

Para conseguir hielo, tenemos que apu√Īalarlo con un gran cuchillo. NO ES SEGURO, por no decir otra cosa. He tenido dos empresas de reparaci√≥n que han venido a casa. Han llamado a t√©cnicos de FP mientras estaban en mi casa para revisar el problema. El consejo de los t√©cnicos esta √ļltima vez fue ajustar la temperatura. Me gustaba el estilo y el frigorífico parecía tener el mayor espacio en su interior para un frigorífico de encimera. Antes tenía un frigorífico de fondo y no cabía nada en él. Era ridículo. Este parece tener mucho más espacio porque el agua y las cosas no abultan en la puerta a diferencia de otros frigoríficos. Los electrodomésticos Fisher son agradables, con líneas limpias. No necesitamos todas las campanas y silbatos. Sólo quiero cosas con espacio que sean limpias y que parezcan funcionar muy bien. Me encanta la cocina de gas. Parece tener mucho espacio dentro del horno. Me gustan los electrodomésticos. Estoy gratamente sorprendido con ellos.

A technician came a few days later and made an adjustment which seemed to work for the next load; but alas, the thumping noise came back soon after. The technician came back and replaced a part. Everything was fine until yesterday; the thumping noise is back, but even louder. I‚€ôm very fed up with this dryer. Like other reviewers, I have also had problems with drying time ‚€ď any energy-efficient feature, this thing purportedly has, is out the window because it takes so long to dry anything. I also have the matching washer; and judging by other comments, Im afraid it, too, will start giving me problems. I would absolutely not recommend this brand to anyone, and I so wish I could return them both and buy something else.

Debo ser uno de los pocos que ha tenido una experiencia positiva con Fandamp;P. Compramos un conjunto de lavadora y secadora en 2003. Todav√≠a tenemos la secadora, pero estamos con nuestra segunda lavadora GWL11. La primera dur√≥ 10 a√Īos. En ese tiempo estuvo sometida al agua dura y a una familia de cuatro miembros. La bomba es definitivamente el eslab√≥n d√©bil, ya que sustitu√≠ al menos dos en ese tiempo. Tambi√©n tuve que sustituir una v√°lvula de entrada de agua. Las nuevas bombas vienen con un fusible en l√≠nea para instalar en el arn√©s al controlador para evitar que se arruine si la bomba hace cortocircuito. Ninguna de las reparaciones se hizo en garant√≠a. Las lavadoras Fandamp;P son muy f√°ciles de diagnosticar y reparar por lo que he podido hacer todas mis reparaciones. Despu√©s de demasiadas cargas grandes y 10 a√Īos de agua dura, las varillas que mantienen el tambor en equilibrio se desgastaron. Encontr√© una GWL11 s√ļper limpia por 80 d√≥lares en CL para sustituirla. Ahora tenemos un ablandador de agua, por lo que esta m√°quina se mantiene m√°s limpia y limpia m√°s eficientemente. Cambi√© la bomba poco despu√©s de comprarla. Ahora, tres a√Īos m√°s tarde, esa bomba usada se apag√≥, esta vez los devanados hicieron cortocircuito, llev√°ndose el controlador con √©l. Me equivoqu√© al instalar el fusible en l√≠nea, as√≠ que esto podr√≠a haberse evitado f√°cilmente. Compr√© una bomba nueva por $110 e instal√© mi controlador usado y est√° funcionando bien de nuevo. Lowes warrantied three replacement lids for the washer and three lids for the dryer. They would not warranty more than three per appliance. Fisher Paykel stated not to use stain remover on our laundry as it affects the plastic in the lid. Our warranty ran out on 11/24 and on 11/25, the dryer bearings went bad. I really thought appliances lasted longer. Its very disappointing especially for the money we paid.

Sin embargo, no puedes meter algunas de las cosas m√°s grandes debido a la forma en que est√° dispuesto el interior. Es dif√≠cil meter el jab√≥n para platos. When delivered and plugged in, the compressor was very loud and created a tone that is at a frequency that is intolerable. High pitch buzzing. This is straight out of the box. After 2 months, 6 service calls and three days off from work and new parts, it keeps whinging along. So loud it is causing my ears to ring. Fisher Paykel is not responsive and is giving the business we bought it from a runaround (Cocoplum appliance Essex, Vermont). Even after filing a complaint with the US FTC and the State of Vermont Consumer Affairs, there is no resolution. We are waiting to hear back today and if no response, we will get a personal injury attorney to work on a hearing damage claim. It is probably the only way to approach this as theres no where to turn. I do not understand that when they delivered a defective product, they dont back it up with the warranty.

El t√©cnico (de Fandamp;P) intent√≥ arreglarlo una vez y fracas√≥. Lo intent√≥ una segunda vez y fracas√≥. Para entonces ya llevaba d√≠as sin frigor√≠fico. Entonces me dice que tendr√° que enviar las piezas y que puede tardar unos d√≠as. Al mismo tiempo me dice que no est√° seguro de lo que le pasa a la nevera. Podr√≠a ser el compresor tambi√©n. Le dije que se olvidara del asunto. Compr√© un frigor√≠fico nuevo. Puedes apostar que no era un Fisher y Paykel. (Por cierto, ambos frigor√≠ficos s√≥lo han tenido un uso ligero).

After having issues with my dryer and then my washer, Lisette of Fisher Paykel has been very helpful. When the bearings on my dryer needed to be replaced, the company paid over half the cost. Hab√≠a reservado un servicio para entre las 12 y las 5 de la tarde y la hora inicial era de 12 a 1 de la tarde. No es una buena idea, ya que es un d√≠a muy ocupado, pero lo ped√≠ y cambi√© mi d√≠a. Hacia las 10 de la ma√Īana recib√≠ una actualizaci√≥n que dec√≠a entre las 14 y las 15 horas. A las 2.38 segu√≠a diciendo entre las 2 y las 3 de la tarde y entonces recib√≠ una llamada del ingeniero, dici√©ndome que ten√≠a 4 trabajos por delante y que no llegar√≠a hasta las 5.30 de la tarde. ¬ŅEn serio? Fisher and Paykel dryer DEIX2 - I purchased this dryer at Lowes approximately 4 years ago. During the four years, weve had the lint scraper replaced two times. It has broken again. When the lint scraper breaks, all of the lint from your clothes ends up getting caught inside the mechanism of the dryer or pushed out the dryer vent. We typically know we have a problem when the clothes stop drying in a timely manner; little lint is in our lint trap and the dryer vent has visible lint blocking it from the exterior of the house. It is somewhat surprising this dryer has not caused a fire. Ive had enough of worrying about lint getting trapped in our dryer vent and/or our lint trap breaking. The lint trap works perfectly for a short time frame, but the design and materials are not nearly robust enough for the premium you pay for this product. There is absolutely no question, this is the absolute worst appliance or piece of equipment Ive every purchased. I would give the dryer 0 stars if that was an option.

I was quite surprised to read the negative comments about Fisher Paykel! After being a brand loyal kind of gal, everything I owned appliance wise was Maytag. After my Maytag dishwasher, washer and dryer broke down 4 times in a year. I decided it was time for a change. I went to my local appliance store and was just about to purchase a new washer/dryer when the salesman tried to sell me an FP. I had never heard of FP before. The salesman made quite the pitch. When I continued to shy away, finally he told me if I tried the units and didnt like them, within 60 days he would exchange both units. Okay, I gave it a shot. I love my FP washer/dryer so much I bought their double drawer dishwasher. I had to call for service once for the dryer and once for the dishwasher. Both were relatively simple problems that were fixed within 20 minutes of the serviceman entering my house. I would have to say I highly recommend Fisher Paykel.

I bought this washer (Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine) as a highly recommended low maintenance machine. At the least, I am dissatisfied; at the most, angry. I am retired and live on a fixed income. I did research myself as to possible causes of the constant drip of 6 inches of hot water into the tub and the low level screeching of the tub as it spins. As for repair, I was only able to find one resource for a possible part that caused the dripping. When I called, I was treated rudely and they refused to help me and stated Id have to pay a large fee just to have it diagnosed. So, I asked what the charge would be if it was found to need a hot water valve leaking and if the screeching was a bad bearing. I was told the bearings never go bad and that I didnt know anything. Then, the woman from the shop hung up! I love being treated badly! Your customer service is nasty and non-existent!

We replaced a diverter valve, and then a circuit board, only to have wasted our money. We wrote a formal letter to F & P Customer Care USA (Irvine, CA) on Sept 21, 2007 letting F & P know that the diverter valve and circuit board only lasted 9 months before it repeated. No response was ever received from F & P Customer Care USA. That pretty sums up the amount of support/customer care you will receive. We liked the technology; and despite the lack of support, customer service, or response, we bought a GW12 and disposed of our six-year-old GWll. No problem with our GW12 from 2007 until 2013. Now, our GW12 is having the same problem! It appears that both of our Fisher & Paykel washers only have a six-year life cycle. I will write another formal letter to Fisher & Paykel Customer Care USA, but I do not expect I will ever hear from Fisher & Paykel.From my perspective, Fisher & Paykel washers have a planned obsolescence of six years, and clearly they lack an infrastructure for support or customer service in the USA. I would recommend that you only buy their products if you like changing your major appliances out frequently. If you do purchase Fisher & Paykel products in the USA, then expect to be on your own with no support or any customer service.One last item, the letters to FP Consumer Customer Care USA contained two emails for response and one mobile phone number. It is on 24/7, 365 days a year!

I called the local factorys recommended shop on Thursday and Baker Appliance came out the next Monday. He ordered the part for regular delivery. A different repairman returned on Monday, a week later, to replace the electronic control unit. They discovered the wrong part was sent. He said the box had the correct part number on it but the part inside was incorrect. Does this happen a lot?My issue is, he told my wife they would ship the correct part the next day. I called them Tuesday to ask about the part delivery. The girl said she would check and call me back but never did. I left a message on Tuesday night and she called me back Wednesday morning and said she didnt have it yet. I called again and explained what the repairman had said. She asked someone in her office about it. She said they werent told and it would be another $50 for next day shipping. I then gave up.Wouldnt Fisher & Paykel absorb the additional cost if they shipped the wrong part? I spent more than $50 at the laundromat over the last 2 weeks. We have 5 people in our home.

We have had a repairman at our home a minimum of 5 times each year for both products. I really am not exaggerating. In the beginning, the work was covered by warranty. For several years, we have been paying out of pocket. Each visit has cost between $100 and $500. We have waited for parts for over four months (seriously, no oven during that entire time). FPs response when I called directly was Madam, other people have had to wait much longer than that. You have to wait your turn for the part. Im not kidding. Its the worst customer service I have ever seen. And alas, our oven is not working again. The repairman is coming again on Monday. Well pay him $75 (again) to look at it.If the required parts cost more than $200 (which they almost always do), then I think we are throwing it in the trash. At the price we paid for the oven, it should have worked perfectly - at least for a few years. Our dish drawer was last fixed about 3 months ago. We havent had any issues since then, which is remarkable for that product, a full 3 months with a functioning dishwasher! I really hope others read my review and avoid Fisher Paykel products. I rarely write reviews, but these are the worst purchases that I have ever made. The products perform wonderfully when they work, but unfortunately, they rarely work. By the way, we are not abusers of the appliances. All of our other appliances (made by other companies) have performed without any issues. Oh, and yes, I have called FP directly many times over the years. Our repair companies have also called as they were appalled at the repeated issues with the products. FP did not stand behind their product at all. Im very disappointed.

I spent quite a bit of money on this unit and was excited to finally be able to experience all of the features this dish drawer had to offer the consumer. Its so sad to say that I was let down by the company. When I called F&P Customer Service line, I had to wait on hold for almost 30 minutes to finally talk to someone. They seemed like it was all my fault which made me even more angrier. Nevertheless, PC Service came and it still is not working 100%. I will probably try and return it and go with a better known brand. I wouldnt recommend this brand to anyone looking for reliable dishwasher.

We had a double drawer dishwasher installed as part of our kitchen refurbishment last May. Within two months, the dishwasher would not drain. Contacted customer service - NOT - and after being on hold for a long time, I was finally told to contact a company called Millers Ltd. UK to arrange an engineer to come and fix the problem. This company sent out one of the rudest young men I have ever encountered and he left the dishwasher un-repaired, so we had to contact the kitchen company to make other arrangements, dishwasher fixed. In February 2015 the tines in the tray of the upper drawer broke. I went online to order a new tray and tines at a total cost of £73.40, I ordered what was in the photo on Fisher & Paykel website. The tray arrived without the tines. After several phone calls and mindless music, I finally managed to convince an assistant called Ula that if she checked her website, she would see what I thought I was ordering and therefore could she send me the tines. This she did and they all snapped while trying to fix them to the tray. We have since managed to do a DIY job on this tray. In March of this year, the upper drawer again would not drain, clean the dishes - so back onto Fisher Paykel and the awful music. Again given a number to contact to arrange an engineer to visit, told the assistant about our previous experience and asked that that company not be used again. A very helpful engineer arrived the next day and instantly knew the problem and replaced the rotor in the upper drawer, he had one on-hand as he had dealt with this problem several times. July, both drawers very noisy, not cleaning dishes and a red light and bleeping from the upper drawer. Contact Fisher & Paykel and again straight onto the awful music, finally get through to Hannah, who cannot find a contact number for my post code. Oops its my fault that she misheard my post code and was looking in the wrong area. I explain as best I can the problem and previous history, she tells me to contact the previous company I used in March. This I do to be informed that they no longer deal with Fisher & Paykel as their machines have multiple problems. Contact Fisher & Paykel and Hannah, again to be given a number which turns out to be Millers UK, a company I will never use or recommend. Try to contact Hannah again but am beaten by the awful music. Instead I am now getting an independent assessment of the machine and will be going back to the kitchen company that recommended the dishwasher and installed it, as to whether or not they will have to replace it with a better-quality machine.

I called a repair person; it cost me over $200 to fix. Second problem, the dryer just quit working, deader than a doornail! I called a repairman. They said it would cost more for the part than what the dryer is worth! I tossed the Fisher Paykel dryer and bought a Maytag. Now, just this week, the washer stopped spinning again. This time, being ECOSMART, I looked online for COMMON PROBLEMS with these models and found that the water pump gets wet from a leak in the washer and rusts and freezes the water pump which in turn blows out the fuse in the control board. My husband took it apart and it was confirmed... The pump is junk and rusted and the CONTROL BOARD is dead. With a 50 cent fuse, it could fix the problem, but NO, Fisher Paykel doesnt tell you that. They want you to spend $185+ for a new control board to fix their POOR DESIGN! Now, we have to fork out more money to replace this junk water pump to avoid paying for a new washer. Guess what? The new pumps have fuses on them to prevent the control board from blowing out. Well, how bout recalling them and fix the design?!! Just a thought! A Fisher Paykel will not be in my house after this washer DIES again! (Oh, Shame on you, Consumer Reports! I went by your recommendation for these models!) ECOSMART? I think not!

Another time, the electric board needed replacing, and just two weeks ago the entire magnet and inner workings on the top drawer need to be replaced. The total cost of this last repair is $600. Before this current dishwasher, we owned the first generation Fisher Paykel dish drawer. It was as horrible as our current one. There is absolutely no customer service or help from Fisher Paykel. They blame every defective part and problem on the water, or detergent, or operator error etc. Do not ever buy a Fisher Paykel unless you have piles of money and time lying around. I cant believe the money we have wasted over the years on these subpar pieces of trash. I refuse to fix it again. I am throwing it out and getting a Bosch.

The washer has worked okay, except for two instances in which the pump wouldnt drain its water and investigation determined the pump had been obstructed by lint. The dryer is another issue altogether. The first problem came just over a year into owning this appliance. The bearing was deemed failed and it had to be replaced. The bearing is less than a year old and the dryer again sounds like bare metal grinding on bare metal. Now...the dryer had to be serviced for heating problems. Specifically, the dryer would run for hours without drying the clothes. It was determined that the lint sensor trips the heater to prevent fire...makes sense, but further investigation found that the fine mesh screen which serves as a filter has dry-rotted and failed, so lint quickly moves to the inside of the appliance and repeatedly triggers the safety mechanism.Question: Why should I have to take this unit apart every couple of days to clean it? The design is obviously flawed. Ive never done such a thing to the previous dryer I owned, nor have my parents...even when there were eight of us in the house. Sadly, I was given the entire song and dance about how wonderful these high priced, gilded turds would save me time and money. Nothing is further from the truth. While the appliance technician has been friendly and helpful (once I can get in touch with him), these appliances have been miserable to own. I share my house with four others and the laundry piles up quickly...not to mention the fact that the dryer is a fire waiting to happen. I had a Whirlpool standard dryer that was seven years old and I got rid of it when I bought these gems...it still worked. What was I thinking? Now the decision must be made...shell out a few hundred bucks for a poorly designed lint filter and service, or, look for an older standard dryer. Guess what...Goodbye Fisher Paykel! Note to others: Stay well clear of this high tech junk.

We have been waiting for more than three weeks for the part, and the store said the labor cost to install the new one will be high. A machine that will be ruined by a coin slipping into the pump is not a good design. Also, this machine cannot handle anything but a light load before becoming unbalanced.

It takes about one hour to heat up and then the service guy said it is off 80 degrees. They have finally decided to replace it, on our extended warranty. The question is whether to get another FP. The best part is it rids of water very well at the spin cycle and save me time in drying. The product might have less parts to be broken down, but the broken parts are always the same ones, do not show this is a product of good quality! I just purchased a new Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer. This is my second pair. My previous set I placed in a rental and decided to get a new set for myself. I had few problems with my older units. I understand my older dryer was actually made by an American company with a Fisher & Paykel nameplate. The new Fisher & Paykel set is a big step backwards for this manufacturer.The new washing machine is noisy and clanks when washing. I don‚€ôt know the cause but am assuming it is due to the tub not having a center post in the middle. The control panel has changed too. I would much prefer to be able to just push warm soak or hot wash or cold rinse, rather than pick thru the heavy, bulk, sheet buttons to try and get the wash settings I want.Now, the new dryer is something else altogether! I have a service man coming out to check on the top of the new dryer. This will be his second time out. The top seems to get in the way of the rotating drum and goes boom, boom, and boom every time the dryer drum turns during drying. The tops are flimsy plastic. I have a feeling it warps after being heated when the dryer is on high or low heat or the tops are not properly designed. A top loading dryer was an interesting idea but just wasnt pulled off well. Just buy a front loading dryer. I also have bubbles behind control panel masking. I would suggest interested buyers go to Consumer Reports Magazine and read further evaluations of washer and dryers.

Even though the element itself is always under warranty, F&P says I still have to pay over $100 to have a tech diagnose what I already know the problem to be, then wait 2 weeks for the part and again pay the tech to install it. I have slate floors in my laundry room and the appliance tech told me I need to wear shoes because the way the element is set, it could sag and easily hit the floor, causing electrical shock. How unsafe is that?But now after only 4 years of use, my washer has totally died. I noticed the pump was short-cycling when trying to drain the water. When water did drain for about 2 seconds, there was no blockage. Then the control panel completely died within an hour. Now I have no washer, my four grandchildren live with me and my brother, who I have not seen for nearly 10 years, is coming in from overseas with his wife and 3 children to stay for 2 weeks during the holidays. I live in a rural area and the nearest laundry mat is 30 miles away. I cant even afford to get the tech out until after the holidays, but even if I could it would still take 2 weeks to get the parts, if its even able to be repaired. So what am I supposed to do? The washer fills up with water halfway, then dumps it all out so I cannot wash anything. The water wont stay in. Then the dryer smells so bad as if it is about to blow up. There is a horrible burning smell and it makes my clothes smell like they were on fire at some point! I had a technician come out and he spent 2 hours taking these units apart and changing parts and vacuuming out the dryer element in case there was burnt lint... NOTHING! They still dont work and the lousy people at Ralphs Appliance and Stroud TV & Appliance (ANOTHER HORRIBLE COMPANY, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM) refuse to fix it. I called F&P and these are the only two names they gave me of people who fix these types of units. I have been calling all over and no one seems to know how to service F&P. I do not know what to do but I was told this was a High End brand, but its anything but! I could have purchased an old school Whirlpool and I wouldnt have this many issues. And the washer and dryer are only a few years old!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Thumbs down to F&P.

El viernes me pusieron la segunda cocina DCS de 48 pulgadas y los hornos y el horno grande ni siquiera se calienta, la luz no se apaga y la parrilla tiene tres abolladuras. Esto ha sido una pesadilla continua que s√≥lo va a empeorar porque ya he enviado m√°s de 118 invitaciones para un gran evento en mi casa que ser√° atendido. Quieren intentar arreglar la segunda gama cuando deber√≠an haberse asegurado de que funcionaba antes de envi√°rmela. Cero control de calidad. Ah√≥rrate los disgustos. Gaste un poco m√°s de dinero y consiga algo que funcione. Este producto y esta empresa no merecen los dolores de cabeza, las l√°grimas y la frustraci√≥n. After saving for a few years we purchased a DCS duel fuel range model Rds366ss. The stove was $5695, the vented hood was another $1295 and the back panel and shelf kit was another $395. Since purchased, the oven would heat higher than the required temp and after several tech visits with no results, we decided to live with it, adjusting the temp as we cooked. Then after a couple of years I had to repair all six of the spark igniters. Now after nine years, the stove has quit working altogether and after another tech visit we were told the oven thermostat had failed and needed a new one, part#210766. Calling DCS customer care for a replacement we were told the part was no longer available and there were no replacement parts for it. After checking many websites we found that the part was indeed obsolete with no substitute parts that would work in its place.Calling DCS back and speaking with a customer service tech we were told that maybe the part could be found used online. Another option was maybe we should consider buying another stove! Are you kidding me. After spending all this money on a stove we thought would last at least twenty years, were told we should think about buying a new stove after only nine years. We are so mad at ourselves for not researching this stove before purchasing it and now after reading nothing but negative reviews for the products made by Fisher-Paykel. We are stunned that a huge company like this can getaway with this consumer robbery. Wish there was some way to warn people about buying from this company and its total disregard for customer satisfaction.

A las 12:45 llam√© al servicio de atenci√≥n al cliente. Me informaron de que hab√≠a muchas personas enfermas y que el t√©cnico iba a llegar tarde. (Mi respuesta es que por qu√© no me llamaron para avisarme de que llegar√≠an tarde). Estar√≠a en mi casa entre 30 y 60 minutos. A las 3:45 llam√© para hablar con alguien y saber qu√© pasaba. Habl√© con Daniel, que me dijo que el t√©cnico hab√≠a intentado ponerse en contacto conmigo pero que no hab√≠a podido localizarnos. Volvi√≥ a comprobar mis datos y todo lo que ten√≠an era correcto. Me dijo que podr√≠an volver ma√Īana porque el t√©cnico se hab√≠a ido a casa. Le dije que no pod√≠a esperar m√°s de lo que hab√≠a hecho hoy. Ped√≠ hablar con un supervisor, su nombre era Tanya. Tanya entonces dijo lo mismo. Le dije que no era suficiente que me hubiera tomado tanto tiempo libre y ella estuvo de acuerdo. Me pregunt√≥ qu√© quer√≠a y le suger√≠ que Fisher y Paykel pagaran las reparaciones. Me dijo que no pod√≠an hacerlo, pero que hab√≠a que hacer algo. Le pregunt√© qu√© y me dijo que no pod√≠a tomar esa decisi√≥n ahora y que volver√≠a el jueves para dec√≠rmelo. Fisher y Paykel tienen que mejorar seriamente su servicio de atenci√≥n al cliente. Esto no es apropiado.

Weve had problems with both the washer and dryer. The washer leaked from the bottom and we had it repaired. The repairman explained that the cause was from not using the rinse cycle when washing whites and that they do not use bleach overseas. Now, our dryer is 3 1/2 years old and it‚€ôs in need of a repair. It sounds as though the bearing is going out of it. These were expensive appliances and one should be able to expect at least 10 years.

Y tengo otro problema con √©l, el pl√°stico en la bisagra de la puerta siempre se rompi√≥, incluso si cerramos la puerta muy suavemente. Realmente no estoy contento con mi compra. He tenido 2 frigor√≠ficos en 30 a√Īos y √©ste lo cambiar√© muy pronto porque s√≥lo me causa problemas. Muy bonito, muy agradable para el espacio interior, pero el resto, por el precio que he pagado....no vale la pena. El servicio de atenci√≥n al cliente en Quebec es muy muy pobre.
