Was advised to purchase the extended warranty to lower the repair cost (to $300). Now, in 2017, the compressor is out and we are again without a fridge for a week and lost all our food. The kicker? The compressor is under a 10 year warranty but only for the $160 part. LG is still charging me $400 for labor. Its their flat fee for warranty work, regardless of how long it takes. They overcharge for the labor to cover the cost of all the parts they have to replace.This fridge has cost me ~$1,000 is service and lost food and its only 3 years old. Spoke with supervisor Donald and he was rude, interrupted me constantly, and flatly refused to provide any customer to lower the labor charge since Ive had so many problems with this fridge. He told me to call other techs and see what they would charge--I have. No one else will work on LG fridge compressors because they fail too often. Im filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and sending a letter to the corporate office. I encourage everyone here who is a victim of LG to do the same. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against LG. PO box 240007. Huntsville AL 35813.

Between WS, LG, and NSI extended warranty company, theyve been unable to repair or replace our wash machine. Weve been going to the laundromat for one month. We are beyond livid! Each entity blames the other, no one will take responsibility. I would not recommend WS, NSI, or LG to anyone. Beware! We just want a working wash machine!

Es un lavavajillas de ahorro de agua, pero no tiene suficiente presión de agua para limpiar los platos. Freezer settings for upper compartment was super convenient. Kept ice cream like soft serve but keeps milk ice cold. Froze bread OK I guess. Crisper drawers didnt work at all. Changing the temperature was way too sensitive. When My water bottles froze solid overnight with a power short. Warm milk was awful to wake up to.

So we splurged and bought one of those washing machines with all the bells and whistles. Rust formed around the bleach dispenser after just over a year. This is completely unacceptable. It continues to grow daily and is not cosmetic to me. I have never had a washing machine rust out on me, what will this look like after 3 years? 5 years? If it lasts that long. There were some huge lawsuits back many years ago with auto manufacturers and rusting vehicles. Maybe an attorney should look into a class action suit against LG. A $1200 washing machines shouldnt rust. If they do, you should get relief from the company not the runaround.

Tuvo que esperar más de 3 semanas para la cita, incluso después de ofrecerse a estar en casa a cualquier hora. Tiene niños pequeños e intentar hacer comidas durante 3 semanas fue un reto. Una vez que el horno fue reparado todos pensamos que era bueno para ir. En enero de 2014 ocurrió el mismo problema pero esta vez LG dijo que no podían conseguir la pieza (después de que mi hijo y su familia esperaran otras 3 semanas para una cita). Mi hijo y yo hemos hablado con LG y nos han ofrecido devolvernos lo que pagamos. Por supuesto se niegan a sustituirlo. Ya no lo fabrican y como lo compramos en oferta, un LG nuevo costaría mucho más de lo que nos ofrecen. Qué vergüenza LG. Cuando compré mi horno, que no era LG, y no funcionaba correctamente, no sólo me lo cambiaron, sino que me lo cambiaron al día siguiente. No volveré a comprar nada fabricado por LG. El servicio de atención al cliente lo dice todo y LG no lo tiene. De un cliente de cualquier cosa menos LG.

It wont spin water out of the machine and my clothes were sopping wet. The replacement unit continued to have problems with spinning properly. Last week, I noticed that the rug in my basement (just outside laundry area) got completely soaked with water. After five days with fans constantly running, Ive started ripping up my carpet. The pad is soaked through. It is a disaster in my basement now. And I have my house on the market. LG washer has ruined my carpet and made my house less sellable in the process!

Unfortunately the Geek Squad is the worse Service Company to deal with. Up to now Oct 23 we had 2 technician coming to the house and 1 appointment which nobody showed up, and my problem has Not been solved! They promise me by phone to have the parts ordered 2 weeks ago and installed tomorrow Oct 24. Yesterday we received an e-mail saying that they can Not come again and postponed the visit to Oct 31. I can Not understand how a large company as LG can have such Bad Service. We regret very much having bought an appliance from LG. We Do not recommend this company to anyone!!!

El técnico fue estupendo y después de reparar el compresor y el evaporador (también defectuoso) pensamos que todo estaba bien. Desgraciadamente, el frigorífico seguía sin funcionar, así que volvió y después de muchas horas y esfuerzo nos informó de que había entrado aceite en las tuberías y que no había nada más que hacer que presentar una solicitud de reembolso a LG. Así que ya hemos esperado seis semanas sin un frigorífico y potencialmente tendremos que esperar otras seis semanas antes de que tengamos un cierre y, honestamente, no soy demasiado optimista basándome en la duración del tiempo y la ambigüedad que cada persona nos da por teléfono. Aunque cada representante del servicio de atención al cliente es agradable, es lamentable que LG no dé autonomía para tomar una decisión, incluso cuando sus propios reparadores han dado su opinión. Me doy cuenta de que los productos fallan, pero cuando hay una tendencia obvia LG debe ser rápido reconocer y no fuerte sus clientes a lo largo. Es simplemente un mal negocio.

(El técnico de LG dice que tal vez sea la ventilación, pero el técnico de ventilación (cuando se puede encontrar uno) dice que la ventilación está limpia y correctamente instalada. Me he pasado días llamando por teléfono para que me atiendan. Sólo puedo poner la secadora en marcha con el temporizador, porque si no se para en unos 4 minutos. Cuando está en su temporizador, cada 20 minutos tengo que abrir su puerta delantera, dejar salir la humedad, tener un paño extra para limpiar la humedad y la pelusa de alrededor de la puerta delantera. Esto parece mostrarme que el interior no está diseñado para dejar salir el aire húmedo. El calor sale por la rejilla de ventilación pero no la humedad y la pelusa. La ropa actual sigue húmeda después de 3 ciclos de 20 minutos. Debido a su reciente coste, no puedo permitirme sustituirla. No debería tener que experimentar esto. ¿Qué pasó con LG?

Llamamos varias veces a LG y a Best Denki, pero nos dijeron que estaban esperando las piezas, y hace dos semanas dijeron que las piezas habían llegado, pero hasta hoy no nos han entregado el lavavajillas. LG Lifes Good? LG - Laundrys Grubby - Just like everyone else, I am incredibly frustrated with my top-loading LG WT4801CW clothes washer (purchased from Home Depot). I spend more time and money redoing many loads of clothes because they just do not get clean and sometimes a streak of dirt is left on the clothes, so back to rewashing the same small load of clothes again and again. (There goes the water economy function of the washer down the drain). And my washer is also starting to smell (great). Based on everyones reviews, the machine should be breaking soon and at that point, I will give it the boot out of my laundry room.

I called LG for repair and they sent a repairman 5 days later who told me it was broke (no **) and he would have to order parts. They were ordered 5 days later. 2 days later, I called the repair service, Expert Appliance Repair and they said one of the parts was backordered with no ETA. They suggested I call LG again to see if I could get an ETA or a replacement. I did this, and after a lot of stonewalling, I was told I was out of luck that I would have to wait on parts and that there was no ETA. I now have a refrigerator that broke down after a couple of months and have currently gone 12 days with no refrigerator. Never mind the cost of lost food/frustration. LG is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I purchased the LG Smart Drum top-loading washing machine a few years ago. The clothes come out very wrinkled. I now put almost all my laundry in the dryer; it helps remove the severe wrinkling. I used to just hang clothes up after washing them. Now it takes more energy: my own, and the electricity. I just finished ironing a top which I have had for well over a decade, used to just remove it, nice and clean, from my beloved Kenmore front loader, and hang it up. This was the case with all my clothes. I purchased my machine at The Brick, had to leave the country for a few months, and when I returned it was too late to have the unit replaced. Cant really fault The Brick, but they should know these machines are not-so-great. I have read the other reviews on this site, and my experience is not as truly awful as many others. But I will stay well away from LG in the future, and do more homework before purchasing.

This has to be the worst washing machine that Ive ever used! My in-laws gave us the LG top loading set to make our lives easier, after our twins were born. I cry every time I have to wash clothes in it. It takes twice as long as my old washer and does half as good a job. I would pay to have my old washing machine back! As a SAHM of preemie twins, I need all the help I can get, not an appliance that makes my life more difficult. I would never recommend LG and will never buy anything else from them.

Sin embargo, no mantiene bien la temperatura del horno, se precalienta lentamente y el ventilador es ruidoso. Ahora está totalmente muerto con menos de 6 años, y no calienta en ningún ajuste. Estamos esperando a que nos llamen del servicio técnico, quién sabe cuánto tiempo tardará. No me sorprendería que ya no hubiera piezas disponibles, ya que parece ser un problema de LG y Samsung. Si tenemos que comprar otro horno, no será un LG. Me gustaría poder encontrar una cocina de inducción o de superficie lisa que funcione bien pero que no tenga muchos componentes electrónicos, que parecen ser la perdición de todas las cocinas modernas. In addition, the freezer tray drawer is deteriorating and plastic pieces are breaking off and falling onto the food in the freezer drawer below. The drawer almost doesnt work now. We also purchased an extended warranty (Geek Squad) for another $249 but when I called them, they said that these items are not covered, because they do not affect the refrigerators ability to cool! I have more than 35 years in the plastics industry and know for a fact that these parts are failing because of a combination of poor product design and poor material selection. Its too bad I didnt read this blog before I purchased an LG refrigerator, and I strongly warn against buying their products. And I will never again purchase a Geek Squad warranty (who subcontracts their appliance claims to N.E.W.).

Second, I received a notice a part needed replace for a recall due it causes the electric to increase. Lastly, this morning December 26, 2011, we woke up to make breakfast and discovered the eggs were warm. We looked up at the light in the top of the refrigerator and the light cover melted the sockets are black, and everything on the top shelf of the fridge was hot and starting to cook. It ruined all the food on the top shelf of the fridge. It melted the butter in the butter holder. We had to throw away probably $50 worth of groceries. My biggest concern is if we hadnt been home, my house could have caught on fire. We removed the light bulbs out of the light and the light cover is completely ruined, I cant even put it back on the lights it wont fit. I read where there is a lawsuit regarding other home fires caused by this problem. I want to get my refrigerator fixed and I feel there should be a recall for this problem with these refrigerators. Please contact me regarding this matter.

Working with our maintenance agreement (American Homebuyers Protection Corp), LG agreed to send the Linear Compressor part (under warranty) to a contractor (Appliance Wizard) working with American Home Buyers who would then install the part under our maintenance agreement. To this date, June 2, 2016 - 24 days later, the part has not arrived. Numerous calls have been made by us, American Homebuyers Corp, and Appliance Wizard. LG Customer Service consistently refuses to answer questions regarding the parts arrival or to allow tracking. LG Customer Service flat out refuses to let us speak to a manager. After more than a week of living out of an ice cooler, we purchased a less expensive refrigerator (certainly NOT LG) in order to live life at home without eating out or living out of ice cooler.LG has shown they do not care about their customers. Allowing a customer to go nearly a month without facilitating possible repairs is negligent beyond words and fraudulent under a warranty. Refusal to allow the customer or others who are working with that customer to determine the status of the repair (in this case - has the part been ordered as stated and if so, where is the part?) indicated LG should not be in the business requiring customer service. To say we are frustrated is just a pebble thrown into a large lake. Where is our recourse? At this point, we are not confident we will ever receive this warranted part! Posting on Facebook - writing this review - we will NEVER buy another LG Product. LG is a disreputable company. Be Aware!

I called them and they said it was a cosmetic defect and NOT covered by the extra warranty that we had purchased. I have called them three times since, Home Deport contacted them and now the rust runs all around the bottom of the ice/water unit and is getting bigger. Call LG, do the diagnostic where you hold the phone up to the appliance (crazy and doubt it works). They agree to send a tech. Wait a week to get on the schedule. Tech from Mr. Appliance comes out and says compressor, coil and evaporator are bad. We need to turn it off and wait for parts. Parts take another 2 weeks. Tech was here today and replaced all three parts. It took him 3 hours. When he went to start it up, no go. Turns out the heater in the evaporator is bad and blew out the main board. So now both need to be replace. Spent an hour on the phone with LG. First level is outsourced overseas and customer service reps do not speak good English. They follow a script. Begged to talk to a supervisor. Waited 30 minutes for supervisor to take the call. Spoke to Neil and Willie and they did nothing. Told us they couldnt escalate higher. As long as they deem the appliance repairable we have to wait for the new parts to be delivered and then schedule another tech visit by Mr. Appliance. Absolutely NO customer service. They could care less that we have been without a refrigerator for over 3 weeks, 2 days from Thanksgiving. Its very disappointing to hear them say Life is Good and we dont want you to be inconvenienced while on hold. And then when you speak to someone, you get zero assistance or customer service. We will NEVER buy another LG product. We bought a lemon which I get sometimes happens. But the reason we wont buy from LG again is their complete lack of customer service. The hose to the ice maker has been fixed 7 or 8 times because it keeps splitting. The ice maker jams up and wont release the ice. Today, I woke up to water all over the floor. There was no power to the whole unit. I checked the outlet and there was power. I cant get a hold of a repairman.

Fue dicho por lg servicio al cliente para sacar todo fuera nevera, descongelar durante 8 horas, espere 24 a 48 horas para que nevera puede conseguir frío. Nunca sucedió. Lo hizo de nuevo el segundo día. No funciona. No funciona, sigue apareciendo el código de error. Envían técnico. Nos cobran 125 dólares. Hay que reparar el frigorífico. Otros 324 dólares... Pregunté si podían acelerar el envío del ventilador del motor, como se llame. El técnico Ariel nos miró a mi marido y a mí como si tuviéramos dos cabezas. Nunca intentó ponerse en contacto con LG para agilizar el envío de la pieza. Le dijimos al técnico que teníamos que pensarlo. Tal vez deberíamos comprar otro frigorífico. El técnico estuvo de acuerdo y se fue... como si no le importara que viviéramos de dos frigoríficos. Llamamos a LG para que nos enviaran la pieza de nuevo. Nos dijeron: Ya veremos. Llevamos sin nevera desde el viernes 13 de diciembre de 2019, es jueves 19 de diciembre de 2019, LG nos llama para decirnos que quizás no nos llegue el envío hasta el sábado y que quizás nos arreglen la nevera el sábado. Se nos ha estropeado toda la comida. No hay leche. El jamón de navidad que compramos se echó a perder al igual que todo lo bueno que teníamos en nevera. I am now part of this long list of dissatisfied customers. Rust around the bleach dispenser, ruining clothes (this is supposed to be acceptable?). Replaced a plastic coupler for $225 two weeks ago (hmmm... There are only two LG tech companies within a 50 mile radius of our home). Now, another problem, I am told my software has to be updated with a new main board and I need a new clutch. By the time Im finished, I can purchase a new (American made) machine. We are empty nesters, have very little laundry and the machine is 3 years old. It is a piece of crap. I would never recommend purchasing from this company. Terrible out-of-the country customer service offering very little help - not to mention a horrific language barrier. It sounds like they read a script and say the same things over and over offering no resolution. In fact, Ive called twice in one night and have gotten different answers from the CSRs. Buyer Beware!!!

Both sides of the slider in the deep freezer broke. The door storage broke. Some other pieces have broken off. I will never buy an LG again. Cant get a LG repair person either. Sears is coming over maybe.

One month after purchase it started making noise, which has increased to the point where it is loud buzzing and rattling. We went to Sears and were told we should have purchased the warranty; they wont honor even a 4-month old bad appliance that they carry in their own stores. They called LG company for us and we are STILL waiting to hear from them, but Im not optimistic. The Sears rep told us that LG is notorious for not responding or fixing problems. We live in a small town, and there is no LG repairman locally; so we have to try to get someone up here from miles away. Not optimistic THAT is going to fly with LG. Furthermore, I do not like being FORCED to buy a warranty in order to pay for bad equipment only months old...its rather like having to pay protection money to keep thugs from destroying your home. Will NEVER buy a LG product again after our experience and reading other complaints similar to ours. We are going to try to see if local repairman can fix the problem and just pay for it as the costs projected for an LG repairman to come up here are exorbitant, and we learned from the Sears that LG almost never sends a repairman to our town. Our frustration and anger over this lousy appliance isnt worth waiting and arguing for months with LG Company. We are also frustrated with Sears for carrying a product with so many problems...

We started having problems last year and the main circuit board went out, which was about $500 to fix.I asked several friends if they have had trouble with any LG appliances and I was shocked at how many people I know who have had trouble with the reliability of LG. I wish Id followed my instincts and avoided the LG brand. Our fridge is now incessantly beeping, even when the door is not open. Today, it started grumbling very loudly. Every time he came he replaced another part. Nothing has worked yet. They said as long as the rest is working its just an inconvenience. My thought is for 3000.00 I shouldnt have to have an inconvenience. I have since given up getting anything done. I have the same kind of fridge (different brand) out in the garage and it is in humidity and have never had any problem with it or any other fridge I have owned. Will never buy that brand again. I have owned it for a little over a year now and I have never had one day without ice on my food and drawer.

What a bunch of crock! Everything was wonderful for the first year and half and then we started getting the UE error message for unbalanced loads on the spin cycle. This problem got progressively worse as time went on no matter how many times I redistributed the clothes, meticulously sorted clothes so that I only washed towels or heavy things at a time. Now I cant even get one load done in a day, b/c it keeps adding water to REBALANCE the load, or I have to stand over it to watch it spin and turn it off so it wont add more water or, constantly monitor the weight of the wet clothes, or have to run my dryer for hours to get the clothes dry b/c the clothes never fully went through a whole spin cycle and were still very wet. This machine has actually used more water, and electricity with the all day washing or extra drying.Every problem expressed by previous reviews is on point. I cant believe that I had to call customer service after ONLY 2 1/2 years of owning this appliance. PATHETIC. And customer service was joke quoting me $280-$340 for a tech to come out, after the REMOTE DIAGNOSTIC didnt DIAGNOSE the problem. This was a selling feature by the way, but required me to call during certain hours and press certain buttons. So I will NEVER buy another LG product again, and also think that I am going back to regular Agitator washing machines. This machine is NOT energy efficient, does NOT balance your clothes, and does NOT save water. All hype and NO substance!!

Además, toda la parte trasera de la cocina se mueve cuando intentas encender algo. Ahora hay una grieta allí causada por la mera fuerza de encender un quemador. Esos quemadores tardan mucho en hacer pequeñas tareas de cocina como hervir agua. Compré un hervidor eléctrico para eso. La gama tarda 10 minutos en llegar a 420. Es un producto extremadamente decepcionante.

Well I had 3/4 of a load and I put the detergent in the cup well below the normal line! Well, you guessed it, IT LEAKED. I phoned Best Buy in Ocala, FL and spoke to **. When I told him ** said the washer should be replaced, he stated he couldnt help me as I didnt BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY! Youve got to be kidding me. Its still under the original warranty. Best Buy sold it...Best Buy should help customers. But thats not the case. Ive cancelled my Best Buy credit card, I will never go there again. This is outrageous. To spend this kind of money and have these problems. My other washers lasted 15-20 years and I never had any problems. This is the first and last front loader that I will buy and also my first and last LG appliance. They are junk. Everyone needs to be aware. Go back to top load washers -- They are cheaper and stand the test of time!

Every time the fix only lasted 2 days to maximum 10 days. The LG technician had been telling us the cooling issue is not fixable; however, LG corporate insisted its fixable. LG corporate also said they will continue to fix the issue with no consideration on the number of attempts! Anyone with common sense agrees 6 attempts is more than enough to prove its not fixable!When we suggested there is lemon law to protect consumers from repeated same issue; LG corporate said the law does not apply to appliance. LG corporation does not care about customer satisfaction and does not honor their written warranty. Its unfair for consumers to take this nonsense from big corporation. Where is accountability? Never buy LG again.

After the Heavy Duty cycle, the clothes would come out with mud. Always have to use the Bulky/Bedding cycle. Machine would freeze up and finally wouldnt reset.They replaced the control board and found a wire that was never installed correctly so sometimes it would connect and sometimes not. Now just this month it would constantly be uneven and finally froze up. It was the main part under the drum that controls the machine that went out. Only 2 years old and this is the machine I am stuck with. Thankfully I bought a 5 year extended warranty with it. Once that is up, I will not buy another. Cycles take forever. You get the UE Uneven Code a lot with towels. It is not water efficient when it will constantly refill to make it even, spin and do it over again because it is still uneven.

Same service guy came again, ( I knew him by name by now), said there was a problem with this particular serial number line, he had just received an update by email, replaced entire unit once again, you guessed it, still no ice in bin. Bill, (not his real name) said there was nothing he could do other than replace the fridge. Customer service called sometime later to confirm the replacement to be done at end of August. By 1st of August, freezer would not keep food frozen. Some stuff froze others didnt. By date of this posting, all food in freezer had thawed. We had to throw all the meat products out. We are now waiting for the replacement and hope this one actually does what its supposed to do. Im hoping we just got a lemon as can happen with any products. One other thing, the customer service rep we spoke with did not seem very sympathetic but seemed to treat our phone calls with total indifference.

Esperé DIEZ SEMANAS para el reemplazo. Puedo oler ligeramente el gas de esta cocina; un reparador local insiste en que es mi imaginación. Presenté una segunda queja cuando el horno empezó a fluctuar salvajemente - lo puse a 350, se dispara a 475 y luego baja a 300. Me encanta hornear y dejé de hornear en vacaciones porque esto era tan malo. Los reparadores -de un segundo lugar- me dieron un pequeño sermón sobre la lectura del manual y el no uso de un termómetro de horno independiente. No he limpiado el horno desde que empezaron estos problemas - tengo miedo de que se produzca un incendio. Tampoco me gustó que LG no se ocupara de mis quejas. La próxima vez que quiera cambiar mi frigorífico, no me cabe duda de que no será un producto LG. Estoy muy decepcionado con esta estufa. Siento que estoy atrapado con ella a menos que la tire a la acera. Nunca podría venderla a nadie. Aunque estoy satisfecho con el horno, la parte superior de la estufa es un problema. La unidad tiene menos de 2 años. Hay 3 problemas. Los quemadores de la cocina presentan un problema de seguridad. Si pones una sartén pequeña en los quemadores delanteros, la sartén se inclina fácilmente y el líquido caliente se derrama sobre ti, el suelo o cualquier persona (¡pensando en los niños!) que esté de pie junto a la estufa. Ver imagen. Las 5 perillas de la parte superior de la estufa se han agrietado. Ver imagen. El panel de control del horno es electrónico. La cubierta se ha agrietado y ahora está agrietado casi todo el camino hacia arriba. Ver imagen.La gama se utiliza normalmente una o dos veces al día para una familia de 2 que considero menos de gama normal. Me puse en contacto con la empresa LG y su respuesta fue básicamente: Es una pena, ya que la garantía de 1 año ha terminado, pero puede pagar para que lo arreglen (parafraseado, pero se entiende la idea). No mencionaron el problema de seguridad que denuncié. Debería haberme puesto en contacto con la empresa en el plazo de un año, ya que estos problemas empezaron en el primer año, pero no lo hice. Sin embargo, he tenido varias cocinas a lo largo de los años (con mucho más uso cuando nuestra familia era de 5 personas) y esas han durado fácilmente entre 5 y 10 años sin problemas. Yes, its supposed to conserve water but if I dont want my clothes to stink then I have to run 2 extra rinses with each wash and then run a Rinse and Spin cycle once that is done. The problem is that these washers dont use enough water to rinse all the soap out, leaving some soap on the clothing fibers... which causes them to stink and stink worse once you start sweating in them. It sounds odd but the excess soap is actually getting funky in the clothes causing them to smell. Give it a try. Im going to sell my front loader for one that doesnt care about using less water. Id rather smell like Im clean than save water.

The service person I talked to said that the printing coming off was not covered by the warranty. To me that is not the point. In this day and age with the technology we have as a country, you should be able to buy a washer that when cleaning, the printing doesnt wipe off. The washer manual say that the outside of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and mild, non abrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills with a soft, damp cloth. I guess LG doesnt care about the consumer. Im so disappointed in their non-response to problems people are having with such expensive washers and dryers. Im surprised Sears still sales LG products. Its giving them a bad name too.

They are very good at jacking people around and it ended up costing me 743.00 for a new compressor which is covered by LG but they said since I didnt call who they told me to they werent covering it. I had Sears products for 20 years and never had a problem. As a company we keeping signing on for these foreign products and they just dont last. But now they are not giving me runaround according to the supervisor!!! But lo behold today they called me with an appointment for Saturday AM. I am overjoyed. Um, would those guidelines include singing only praises of their products (i.e.. if you give a negative review, they dont want to hear it, publish it, or know of it)?I am completely disgusted with this situation. LGs email denying my reviews acceptance told me to submit another review as if anything similarly negative would receive their approval for site-publication.As long as I dont rave about this washer, I suspect they are never going to allow anyone to see what my experience has been because then, prospective buyers would take a pause before considering a similar purchase. We purchased a French door refrigerator and electric range 4 years ago and we have had nothing but problems. The refrigerator light malfunctioned while still under warranty and could have burnt our house down. Luckily, we were in town and I caught it just as the light cover had melted and warmed up everything in our fridge. The cabinet above the fridge was so hot, we could have cooked eggs in it. The ice maker has always had issues, and the fridge has intermittently frozen our vegetables at will. The manufacturer did replace the light fixture as this was a well-documented problem and I found hundreds of others online with the same melting problem including a few that actually did encounter a fire. The electric oven we purchased has had issues almost from the time the 1-year warranty was up. At times, weve had one or two burners that wouldnt work, and most recently, the start button on the oven doesnt work. We had this repaired a month ago, only to have the same problem the day before Christmas. In calling the repairman back, it will cost us another $400 after the $80 last month to repair this relatively new oven. We arent willing to dump another $400 into this piece of junk, as we have no confidence that it wont go out again soon. What ever happened to quality? LG stinks, and I tell everyone I know not to buy from them!

Wish I had read the reviews before setting up my $374 dollar appointment to have someone come fix my leaking LG front load washing machine. I have had it about 4 years... Long time? NO! I had a Kenmore for 10 yrs... Wish I would have bought a new washing machine (different brand)! UGH. Cant cancel now or I will be charged $100... Just set up the appointment 4 hours ago, they coming today. You have to cancel 24 hours in advance! I too have experienced many of the complaints I have read, but never acted on them... A leaking machine will make you act! Disgusted!

The fridge started to have problems before it was 1 yr old, after 3 months of replacing parts in order to find the problem, I could either get it replaced with the same LG or similar LG model or a store credit. The store deducted almost $300.- from the amount that was allowed, but I didnt want another LG refrigerator so I lost money on it.

I bought one of your top loading washing machines a little over 3 years ago. Why I havent complained before? I have had repair on it a couple of times, never resolved the fact it didnt cleaned my clothes. I have learned to manipulate the machine to hopefully have better results. For example, use the bulky bedding cycle to get enough water to even cover the clothes, stop the washer when it has water in it and start a new cycle. I SOAK EVERYTHING I WASH. Still it is the worst washer I have ever had. After doing some research and speaking with those that repair these washers it is the same.... they do not clean your clothes. I find it unconscionable your company can continue selling these inferior products! I had a Kenmore top loader for 24 years, at the point they never made a part again I had to replace it. I so wish I would have found another top loader with agitator, or chosen a front loader. This belongs in a junk yard! I have problems with its balance system when rinsing and have had it take 2+ hours to get a load done!!!!! So much for saving water, energy and convenience! What will you do to resolve this problem? I purchased it at Home Depot 11/20/2011. I have the extended warranty plan. I do have a copy of the receipt as well. I have pictures of items that have been washed with still dirt on them and debris on them. I will wait for your response. Thank You!

Great price for all the features I was looking for. Met all needs I was looking for. I was looking for black stainless steel and LG had the best look. I like the black stainless steel, the display and how I can change the shelves inside, the pull out freezer and side by side doors. Ive always liked the look of the aide by side doors. However, Id like more space in pullout freezer, not freeze things in the fridge as easily. If the freezer was bigger I wouldnt need a separate freezer. I wish it were also easier to change the temperature of the fridge and freezer. Overall I would definitely buy again.

I had a warranty with Lowe€s for the first two years which covered it. Now that is expired. LG tells me I have a 10-year warranty and they€re going to fix it now it€s broke again. But I would never ever ever ever buy an LG again.

We purchased all new LG appliances for our newly built house. Initially we were very happy with our purchases until our LG Fridge suddenly quit. We had a repair technician come and was told it was the compressor. Unfortunately for us he replaced the compressor but still was unable to fix it. He was advised by LG to remove the new compressor and that we would have to unfortunately purchase a new fridge, but that once the paperwork was sent in LG would be issuing us a rebate for our fridge that was unable to be fixed since it had a 10 year compressor warranty. The original claim was sent in April 2018 and I am yet to see the rebate cheque I was promised, even signed and filled out the paperwork for. I have contacted their customer service over a dozen times now and have not received any better answers than someone will look into it and will contact me in the next 7-10 business days. Which I am yet to be contacted! I am now out the cost of the original fridge, the repair bill for the not fixable fridge and the new fridge I had to purchase to replace the original as well as countless hours on the phone trying to get to the end of this! This has now been going on for 17 months with no better answers or solutions. Needless to say I will never purchase another LG product or recommend LG to anyone! Buyer BEWARE!

We have had our LG fridge for 3 1/2 years. We noticed that the refrigerator and freezer were not cooling and the ice makers were not working. We called LG. We have had three repairmen come out. The first one said the fridge could not be repaired and tried to get it condemned by LG. No luck there. The second repairman would not work on it and a week later the same repairman came and said LG insists that it be repaired. We are going on a month without a refrigerator. It needs a new compressor, evaporator, etc. etc. etc. LG technical support does not listen to the repairman even when he sends pictures of corrosion and black oily guck. Now a repair is scheduled for next week. We are so disappointed in LG, their product, and their customer service.They are supposed to send $150 for spoiled food but we haven€t seen the check. We are in our seventies and going up and down the basement stairs to the old 30 year old Gibson that is still working is hard on us. I loved this fridge for three years but refrigerators are too expensive to replace after only three years. If LG would compensate us for all the parts they want to put in and labor, we would be happy. We will be buying a Whirlpool and never anything LG again.

We are an LG household. Washer, dryer, and refrigerators. Our main kitchen refrigerator, a 2016 model, stopped working in July 2019. First failure. LG send out their authorized repair technician who came and changed the compressor. It worked for about 2 weeks and died. That was the second failure. LG sent out another technician who said the previous technician had done an incomplete repair, he said he completed it, and left. The refrigerator worked for a few more days, then died again.That was the third failure. The fridge has now been non-functional for over a week, and the repairman is not scheduled to come for another week. It is not good to send repairmen who are unable to perform a satisfactory repair the first time around, not to speak of the extreme inconvenience of losing three refrigerators worth of food (from three failures in the span of a month). Looking back, I would have much preferred a replacement machine after the first machine failed, or a refund after the second failure. We are now on the third failure and not thinking good thoughts of the LG refrigerator company.

Para obtener más agua, hay que ponerla en carga extra, ¡y entonces tarda 3 horas en lavar! Los programas para seleccionar son horribles y limitados. Para que esta máquina cueste tanto, pensé que sería de primera clase. ERROR. Mi próxima máquina será una GE de confianza. Tuve una lavadora GE durante más de 10 años que lavaba la ropa muy bien. Esta lavadora LG es terrible y no recomendaría malgastar el dinero en ella. Parece bonita, pero no lava bien. En definitiva muy decepcionada.
