Lavavajillas LG modelo ldf7561st - Vaya, ojalá hubiera leído estas opiniones antes de comprar. Hemos actualizado nuestra cocina con nuevos electrodomésticos, todos LG. Para ser honesto, los otros electrodomésticos han estado bien para su precio de compra... Este lavavajillas, sin embargo, se ha estropeado después de 2 años de uso normal. Después de llamar a su amabilísimo servicio de atención al cliente (que no tiene poder real para hacer nada), me informaron de que, por suerte para mí, para reparar el lavavajillas tenía dos opciones: pagar 400 dólares por una garantía o sólo 265 dólares por una reparación. ¡Menudo chollo para un producto que no aguantaba 2 años de funcionamiento! Es tan ridículo que no volveré a comprar otro electrodoméstico de esta empresa.

Hace poco más de 5 años que tengo el frigorífico y ya ha fallado el compresor. Llegamos a casa y el suelo estaba lleno de agua. Tuve que tirar toda la comida del congelador. Intenté llamar al número 800 de LG, y me atendió Craige, su automatizado como quieras llamarlo. Al pasar por sus preguntas, te desconectan. Intenté llamar 4 veces para hablar realmente con alguien, y cada vez obtuve Craige. Supongo que LGs gran compresor lineal tiene una garantía de 10 años, pero Im mirando a más de $ 500 para tener que poner en como sólo la parte será cubierto. Ojalá hubiera leído los comentarios sobre este horrible compresor cuando estaba comprando este frigorífico, ya que nunca lo habría comprado. Pero soy como muchos otros y tendré que arreglarlo ya que costó mucho dinero hace sólo 5 años. Es triste que LG no pueda hacer un producto fiable. Lo que me enfurece es que saben que sus compresores fallan y no hacen nada al respecto con sus llamados clientes valiosos.

I found that LG stove knobs were made with a plastic insert. The knob has cracked and I tried to repair it to only find that it cracked again. We had the kitchen filled with gas once and it almost caused an explosion. I would not recommend this stove to anyone. I searched for replacement knobs and found that they cost $104.00 a piece, but could get a discounted one for $84.00. Are they kidding me?!

Ive only owned this piece of garbage for 4 years. Ive had the repairmen out 6 times and the freezer still doesnt work. LG still refuses to replace it. Be smart, buy something other than LG.

Horrors! I bought a new LG refrigerator LSC27926SW from Best Buy. It had icing, fan stoppage and shutdown before warranty expired. LG fixed it. Now over last 3 years, they have fixed it 8 more times, and have never solved the problem. They refuse to replace this lemon, and keep sending Korean techies out to fix it every time this happens. I now have to take them to court to get a new refrigerator under Michigan lemon law. They are coming again this Friday, 11/16/2011, because it just broke again!

The LG washer/steam (model Wm2699HNM) broke after 5 years. I called LG and the girl in India wanted to troubleshoot the problem over the phone before referring me to a repairman. I did troubleshoot with her to no avail and then she gave me the number of a repairman. The repairman came out and thought it was the motor. He opened it up to repair it and found that the drum had become detached from the spinner. He said he had never seen this happen on an LG washer. I sent LG an email and didnt receive a response. Then, I called them the next day. They stated that the drum had a lifetime warranty and the motor had a 10-year warranty, but there was nothing they could do for me for this problem. I spoke to an executive manager for the problem and he stated he was sorry that he couldnt help me since my washer was over a year old!

He also said that I have to pay for this PCB and I have to pay approx amount is Rs. 4500/-. This is totally not acceptable by me. LG20770ST french door 19.7 30 refrigerator - Less than 2 years old, a flimsy 1.5 inch spring on left door flap broke. Fortunately bought 5-year ext. warr. at R.C. Willey. Submitted claim on Willey site on 7/21/14, but had to call after 1 week. Service co. had 3 parts on backorder from LG with no ETA. (3 parts for a tiny spring? I sent them pics with claim). After 2 wks called Willey ext warr dept. They are very nice and helpful. They contacted LG, found the part irreplaceable (DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE) and Willey is replacing the refrigerator with the same model. This is the only one I found that fits in my tiny area. I have to buy a new warranty ($129 for 5 years), but worth it as the replacement may have the same problem and I may find myself in the same situation a couple years from now. Another problem with this fridge is there is no sensor on the ice maker for when the freezer drawer is open, and if you have bad timing the ice maker releases the ice even though the drawer is pulled out. Results are you are digging the ice from below the drawer. Who designed this thing? Long story short, save yourself a lot of trouble and buy a different brand.

I purchased this refrigerator in April, 2017. In August, 2018 the refrigerator and freezer stopped working on a Thursday. A tech guy came on Monday and said it was the compressor and installed a new one. It still did not work. He came back and said there was a leak in the coil and he would be back on Friday. He installed the new coil and it still does not work. This is now over a week and I still do not have a working refrigerator. He is supposed to come back again tomorrow, Saturday, to do what? This is a lemon, plain and simple. I will never buy a LG product again.

Ive had issues with the front loader getting off balanced and causing error messages. The website states to unplug and washer will reset, which seems to work. Now it seems to off balance with every load and I find Im resetting a few times each wash. Not only that, but now my clothes are getting a moldy smell and I am rewashing to get the odor out. Very disappointed in this expensive product. I was thinking of purchasing a refridge from this company, but will look at other brands instead.

I like the overall size of it for the space I need and large freezer door on the bottom pullout as big as I need. I cook a lot so its what I needed to fulfill my stuff. Actually the only thing I do not like on my whole fridge is the fridge does not come equipped with a water dispenser on it because I drink a lot of water and it would come in handy. It was between this model and a Kenmore and this was just a little larger for my taste and fits all my needs for everything I use it for since I cook a lot.

Compré mi lavavajillas LG (modelo LDF7774SD) en mayo de 2016. Tiene menos de un año. A partir de febrero de 2017, el lavavajillas empezó a tener problemas. El compartimento de la pastilla de jabón no dispensa la pastilla de jabón, dejando los platos tan sucios como cuando se cargaron. He probado también con el líquido y al terminar el ciclo y abrir la puerta se escurre por el interior de la puerta. LG mandó a un técnico a reparar el lavavajillas dos veces y sigue sin funcionar. Ha sustituido el motor y otras piezas. He realizado nueve llamadas a su centro de atención al cliente, sin resolución alguna. Siguen diciendo que lamentan las molestias, pero se niegan a reemplazar la unidad.Hoy 21 de mayo de 2017, me puse en contacto con ellos de nuevo, ya que no he oído de ellos. Primero me dirigieron a su servicio de atención al cliente en Filipinas, luego a su operación en las Bahamas y después a su centro de soporte en Costa Rica y de nuevo a Filipinas. Apenas se puede entender a los representantes. Están más preocupados por actualizar sus notas del sistema que por corregir el problema y ofrecer un buen servicio al cliente. Pedí hablar con su departamento de ingeniería o de control de calidad, pero me dijeron que no tienen forma de ponerse en contacto con ellos, y no pudieron facilitarme un número de teléfono. Además de que el jabón no se dispensa, los platos se caen al pasar por el ciclo, ya que las púas están demasiado separadas. Muchos de los vasos después de caerse, se llenan de agua, y sorpresa al abrir la puerta... agua por todas partes. Cuando hablé con un supervisor del servicio de atención al cliente, y le pregunté qué debía hacer hasta, si reparaban o sustituían la unidad, me dijo supongo que tendrá que lavarlos a mano. Nunca había tratado con una empresa como ésta. Voy a presentar una queja en el BBB. Olvídate de contactar con el número que aparece en la web, para la oficina corporativa de Norteamérica. No se puede contactar con nadie. Si intentas dejar un mensaje, dice que el buzón de voz está lleno. No volveré a comprar un electrodoméstico de LG. (La vida es buena) ¡NO! Si pudiera darles una calificación negativa lo haría. Sería muy inteligente mantenerse alejado de esta empresa. No entiendo por qué una tienda minorista tiene su línea de electrodomésticos.

We bought the LG LFX25978ST French door refrigerator on 5-1-2013 from HH Gregg. Was working okay until Oct 5, 2013 (5 months) when it suddenly stopped making ice & freezer contents were mushy, soft. Called LG. They told me to reset the ice maker & it should be fine. Reset twice, still no ice. Called LG on Oct 6th again. They told me to get a new filter or bypass plug (which should have been left with me when they delivered) which I did on Oct 7th. Put the bypass plug in... still no ice & freezer not freezing. Called LG back. They said they would schedule a service tech to repair. After several calls from the repair people about the date of purchase, serial #, model # finally they said they would have to order a new ice maker & when the parts came in they would schedule the repair. Finally came out on Oct 17th!! 12 days with no ice & very little freezer. Had to buy ice & use ice trays in my garage freezer. When the repairman came out on Oct 17th, he had a new motherboard & a new ice maker.... Took him 2 hours to replace the ice maker in the door... Had to take it back out several times because the ice container was too tight. He said it would take 8 hours to make ice, to call him in the morning if it did not. Well... still no ice & worst now... no freezer. Lost about $80.00 of food... ice cream melted completely & all over the bottom. Called the repair service next day Oct 18th, told them no freezer, no ice. They told me they would send the tech out again but could not until Oct 21st. Also called LG about my defective refrigerator. They said it wasnt defective & they would not replace it until it was deemed unrepairable. Very unsympathetic & rude! They told me I must allow them to repair. Repairman came back out Oct 21st & was on the phone to LG Tech. Put thermometers in freezer & refrigerator was finally diagnosed as a bad compressor!! This refrigerator is only 5 months old!!! I had a Frigidaire before that was 16 yrs old & I never had a bad compressor. Called LG again & asked what they were going to do about my refrigerator. They told me that it was not unrepairable. That I had to allow them to replace the compressor or they would do nothing!!!! So after talking to HH Gregg a couple of times, with no help from them either, HH Gregg said I would have to allow them to do the repairs. You would think that HH Gregg would stand behind their products also. I had bought all 4 new appliances from HH Gregg but only the refrigerator was an LG. So as it stands now, I have a different service provider that LG sent an email to, not listing the replacements parts (I had to give them that info so they could order the compressor). They are scheduled to come out Nov 6th with the new compressor. But Saturday Nov 2nd, my refrigerator is not cooling!!! I bought a ref thermometer & the temp in the refrigerator is 55 degrees!!! I have no other refrigerator!!!I paid $2300 for this LG refrigerator on 5-1-2013. I have no refrigerator, no freezer & no ice. LG does not care!!! I am still trying to get either LG or HH Gregg to replace this defective refrigerator & I guarantee I will never purchase another LG product. You would think that there should be some help when a product you purchase does not meet even minimal standards.

At just under three years of being in service this model (31925ST) requires significant repairs that are of course not covered by warranty. I have utilized the poorly written troubleshooting guide with no remedy. This refrigerator sounds as though a helicopter is running in my kitchen! I guess I should not be surprised. I also purchased a dishwasher from LG and a range from LG at the same time - all have had issues that are dismissed as cosmetic items like the stove knobs melting, the plastic calibration strip off or the dishwasher rack that does not remain in position. I will go back to GE! The stainless steel on LG is so thin that by looking at it wrong it seems to dent!

All I needed was a less than $5.00 French Door spring replaced and I know the repair would have taken less than 5 minutes. This is VERY expensive. So we ordered part from another retailer and will do it ourselves. This is over the top expensive. Love my LG appliances but not the cost of a service call. This is OUTRAGEOUS. Hope LG reads this!

Estoy muy descontenta con el resultado de mi cocina LG. No me malinterpreten, estoy contenta con la plancha, etc., pero estoy muy disgustada porque la porcelana del horno se está descascarillando. Esto ha sido desde poco después de que lo conseguimos. Pero pensé que originalmente era algo que se derramó. Cuando lo limpié y limpié el horno, parecía que se estaba astillando, pero era difícil de decir, ya que era un pequeño círculo redondo. Así que lo dejé. At less than 2 year of age my LG top-load washer malfunctioned and flooded my house. According to the washer repairman their assembly was such that the washer pressure sensor hose was wrapped around an arm and the vibration caused it to come loose, resulting in the washers inability to sense the water level - so it just kept filling. Not only did LG not stand behind my nearly new washer, this machine is pure junk. I know to watch and check that hose frequently although I can say its never had another issue with the assembly correction. Problem is it just doesnt clean. The water level varies such between loads that I always stand there to make sure enough water flows in to actual get all the items wet. I realize one of the so-called features is less water usage....but seriously if they dont get wet, its hard to clean. I noticed my whites and bright colors look dingy after a few washes, so I started watch closely - this is how I discovered the water issue. I now wash my clothes 2-3 times to get them clean enough...thats sad. I HATE this LG and will never purchase another of their products.

LG customer service instructed me to find the oven model number and after pulling the oven out they then advised me that some ranges do not have the model number on them so they could not help me replacing the knobs. I€ve used the oven once. Don€t buy LG appliances.

El primer microondas duró 13 meses; el segundo, 12 meses y 15 días. A los seis meses de este segundo microondas, el lado izquierdo del panel numérico dejó de funcionar. Lavadora LG WT1201CW - ¡Esta máquina es una porquería! Compramos esta máquina de Home Depot en 1,5,2014. Es constantemente fuera de balance. Y no tiene nada que ver con el tamaño de la carga. ¡He puesto en sábanas tamaño queen que se llevará hasta 2 1,2 horas para lavar! De nuevo, no sobrecargado, ya que me dijeron cuando lo compré que podría manejar un edredón King Size. Y selecciono la cama, ciclo voluminoso. Y no hablemos de hacer una carga de toallas. Y mi ropa blanca ya no es blanca. ¿Cómo puede esta máquina ser Energy Star cuando mi vieja lavadora de hace 15 años lavó la misma carga en menos de una hora. Odio esta máquina. Mi novia compró la misma máquina andamp; devuelto dentro de los 10 días debido a su bajo rendimiento. La única razón por la que todavía lo tengo es porque me costó un brazo andamp; una pierna para comprar andamp; No puedo permitirme el lujo de reemplazar mis aparatos cada 5 años. We bought a brand new LG washer and dryer set, front loaders several years ago. I was so excited to have the latest and greatest. As soon as our warranty was up, all 3 agitators fell off - inside a wash and most of the items were shredded to bits. The appliance store we purchased them at told us we were SOL, and to call a repair man. Due to unemployment and lack of funds, we were forced to try and fix it ourselves. We finally found a waterproof glue which holds them on for a few months but they continue to fall off and we have to keep sticking them back on. Oh, and when I use my dryer for towels or a sheet set, it squeaks loudly as it tumbles. I do not overload either machine, and its not like I wash rocks. Ive never heard of anything like this happening to a washing machine. My husband is on his way now to the home improvement store for more glue, as the load of towels he just ran was making the loud booming sound of it happening yet again. We also get the funky smell, mostly on towels, and I have to keep wiping the inside of the glass door to keep the mold from growing, but I can deal with that. I will never buy an LG product ever again. Did I say never? I mean it too.

The range looked very nice when I first bought it, but the plastic inside the knob broke after a couple of months. There is no easy way to replace the plastic. I just redid my whole kitchen and its embarrassing that now, I have to use a pair of pliers to turn the burners on and off. On top of it, the cover on the oven door is falling apart. Im extremely disappointed. I expected a better quality from LG.

Updated on 08/12/2019: I posted a review of LG refrigerator here a while ago. I described how shortly after the warranty ended, it needed a circuit board replaced and every shelf cracked. LG responded to me claiming this was unusual and they wanted to take care of it. They asked me for more and more information, model, serial number, date of purchase, photos, etc. This went on for several weeks. Finally they responded that the warranty was over and they owed me nothing. But they already knew this since my review already mentioned that. So the only reason they responded must be to give others the impression that they stood behind the products when they actually didnt. It was rubbing salt into a wound. I thought readers should know. And LG, dont bother responding. I wont fall for it again.Original Review: I think all refrigerators today are junk and this one is no exception. Shortly after the warranty expired, it needed over $200 in repairs (circuit board). It has a top freezer and bottom fridge. When you put your hand over the space between them, you feel the cold air escaping. Most of the poorly constructed shelves have cracked but I have been told this is standard on any brand of fridge. The shelves cost almost as much as a new fridge.

I had friends and relatives who spoke quite highly of LG. And because I trust their judgment, I decided to heed their recommendation. And Im so very glad that I did, because my experience with LG has been nothing short of wonderful so far. Spacious freezer, sleek design, compact, portable and ease of use is off the charts. Indeed, most of the features are satisfactory and I can think of few, if any, that arent. Though the bottom shelves are somewhat small for my liking. Theres too little room to store all of the cheeses, cold cuts, etc. That we consume as a family. But thats obviously a very small inconvenience.

We knew the front knobs were very sensitive but didnt realize how bad until it my husband was cleaning the kitchen, set the Ninja on the stovetop while cleaning the island. Seems he leaned against the knobs and 2 turned on. He went out to empty the trash and by the time he got back in, we had fire. Both Ninja and Range were burned beyond repair. Our new backsplash will have to be repaired. Well need to repaint some. But no one was hurt. No pets hurt. I immediately, naively wrote to the President of LG. Nothing. Tried again a couple days later. I did receive a phone call from a Sheena Turner in Alabama with the title of President Liaison/Voice of Customer. She said she could send someone out but needed the serial #. Theres NO SERIAL NUMBER on the range. Isnt that convenient?Both my husband and I have gone over the range several times. Ive taken pictures and sent to her to prove theres no serial number. Thats when she stopped communicating. So, oh well. She cant help. So like the rest of their customers with this problem, Im just screwed and they dont care. Then I visited Consumer Affairs to see if we were the only ones with this problem. Apparently allot of us have the same problem. So I sat down, copied and pasted to Word every review that pertained to the knobs, back 4 years, 52 bad/frustrated reviews. Ive printed out and will write a letter to Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy and The Consumer Product Safety Commission with copies of the 16 pages of reviews I have. This will be sent USPS certified mail to each with return receipt to make sure each received.I want to be sure each of the retail stores know they are selling dangerous products and the CPSC surely needs to take a look at this. Maybe nothing will come of it, but these stores need to be put on notice and when something bad does finally happen and sadly it will. contact me. Ill have proof they were notified. For me, Im tossing the range. I wont have it in my house and its damaged anyway. My last email to Ms. Sheena (she hasnt returned an email since I told her I cant find a serial number on my range). How are you going to feel when someone dies in a fire caused by an LG range. You work for this company. Are you going to be able to look yourself in the mirror? No response. Holy cow! What a terrible unit under warranty. We had a problem with the fan making noise. Turns out the service tech could not find the problem. The 3rd service call lg put out a service bulletin on fan noise/freezing. The part to fix it was 325.00 plus service call. We said ok if it fixes the problem. It still does it. Of course out of warranty now. Only way to stop it is to unplug it every 4 months for 36 hours. What a piece of junk.

LGs customer service department is by far the worst company I have ever encountered. They have had repair company come to my house 3 times, not able to fix the problem. Had told me no part order was placed, the repair guy gave me invoice numbers for the parts order. The countless phone call to LG were a joke. Last one they tried tell me the the repair was cancelled, right after the repair company left my house. Tried the dryer and call them to tell them it still was not working. Asking for a supervisor and being disconnected twice, he told me the service provider was a third party. LG was the ones who set up the repair in the first place. I ruined over $400.00 worth of clothing, because LG told me to use time dry. Was not a good idea! I asked for a replacement and LG refused to condemn the dryer. I was put off, lied to, and had been given a run around by LG And had enough. I call Home depot. On the first call told me that they would make good on not only the dryer but the washer being that they were a set. Thank you Home Depot!!!!

Within two months we had problems with the dishwasher and LG did not have the needed parts. Within the next several months we had to call for service on the oven/range (twice), on the microwave, and this week on the refrigerator. LG was extremely uncooperative in scheduling a service appointment, even after the Home Depot telephone them on our behalf.They insisted on photographs of our receipts (we have neither smart phones or the ability to transmit photos) although we gave LG THE MODEL NUMBER, SERIAL NUMBER, RECEIPT NUMBER AND DATE AND THE TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE Home Depot store. Tengo el frigorífico LG modelo LFXC24726S que está identificado con el común fallo prematuro del compresor que provoca que no haya refrigeración. Heredé este refrigerador cuando compré la casa hace 2 años, por lo que no tenía recibo de compra. El compresor falló recientemente y llamé a LG. Me dijeron que las piezas están cubiertas por 10 años a partir de la fecha de compra y la mano de obra por 5 años a partir de la fecha de compra. Como no tenía el recibo de compra, se basaron en la fecha de fabricación de septiembre de 2015. La unidad falló y llamé el 11,12,20. Sólo dos meses por encima de los 5 años desde la fecha de fabricación. Me cobraron 125 dólares por teléfono por la llamada de servicio y otros 250 dólares por la mano de obra que se necesitó para reemplazar la pieza (que estaba cubierta por la garantía) para que su refrigerador fallara y funcionara. El aspecto más frustrante para mí es la lógica de que después de fabricar un producto de gran consumo no llega al usuario final a la semana siguiente. Tengo la sensación de que en el caso de los electrodomésticos de gran consumo, la fecha de fabricación es de más de dos meses antes de que los compre el usuario final. Sé que este frigorífico se compró después de enero de 2016 porque fue cuando los anteriores propietarios de mi casa compraron la casa y remodelaron la cocina, pero obviamente eso no pudo ayudar a influir en mi caso para renunciar a la tarifa de mano de obra. A mi mujer y a mí nos encanta el frigorífico, sobre todo porque la máquina de hielo es pequeña y está en la puerta y no ocupa toda una esquina del estante superior y también conserva algunos estantes pequeños en la puerta del dispensador, a diferencia de la unidad Samsung que teníamos en nuestra casa anterior, donde perdimos el espacio de la esquina superior del estante y perdimos los estantes más pequeños en el interior de la puerta del dispensador. El servicio de atención al cliente es absolutamente deplorable, con esperas de una hora después de hablar con alguien sobre el problema, mentiras descaradas, dando vueltas, prometiendo citas de servicio y sin que nadie aparezca. Me dijeron que LG estaba en negociaciones con un proveedor de reparación en mi área y que deberíamos recibir una llamada en la semana. Eso fue hace 7 días. LG WT487OCW top loading washing machine - Purchased 7 months ago. Since day one the machine gave constant signals of being out of balance. We constantly have to restart the machine extending washing time to an average of 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The diagnostic system built into the machine is not helpful. It diagnosed a different problem and could not correct it. Currently it dispenses water during the spin cycle, again extending the total cycle due to having to restart the machine. Customer service did reply with a warranty repair that is pending. In contact with the servicing contractor who stated that software problems with this machine are common and a motherboard and flywheel may be the needed repair. We will see.

Dentro de los primeros 2 años, el compresor murió y perdimos toda nuestra comida. La compañía de la garantía sólo reemplazó hasta $200 por nuestra pérdida de alimentos. El compresor fue reemplazado y el refrigerador funcionó bien por un tiempo. En enero de 2021 la pantalla dejó de funcionar en el panel de la puerta. Nos pusimos en contacto con LG y juntos conseguimos que funcionara. En 2,19,21 la máquina de hielo dejó de funcionar. Después de múltiples intentos de solucionar el problema a través del manual, y con el representante de LG, me puse en contacto con Topline, que me puso en contacto con la compañía de garantía para la reparación. Por fin me llamaron el 25 de febrero. El reparador, ED vino en 3,3,21 no tenía las piezas correctas para arreglarlo, por lo que pedir varias piezas para ser entregado. Volvió por segunda vez el día 3/11/21 y sustituyó la placa del ordenador junto con otras piezas, pero siguió sin arreglar la máquina de hielo. Puso una solicitud para una puerta de reemplazo o un refrigerador de reemplazo. Me dijeron que la puerta estaba pendiente de entrega y que debería llegar antes del 4,4,21. Here is what I did about my problem. I went to Home Depot and bought what is called a Mini-Rester - $10.83 - one each for hot and cold. This is a device that attaches between your water lines and the washer. It has a tube with air in it. When the water shuts off abruptly the air in the tube takes the shock and drastically reduces the water hammer. If you have high water pressure as I do you will need these. You may have to adjust the water down some through the knob on the wall for both hot and cold but eventually you can find a happy medium.

Today while using ice dispenser, the control panel started beeping then whole unit lost power. Checked plug in and it had power. Only the refrigerator would not work. This is a known issue with LG, yet they do not want to help. Luckily I have homeowners insurance that will take care of my $3,500 bad purchase!

First time I have ever felt compelled to write a review but after reading through so many here and having the worst experience Ive ever had with a Customer Service group I really need to. For the reviewer who said they took a day off to be home for a confirmed (via email) service appointment that was a no-show cancellation because LG never actually had a repair person confirmed - the exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago today... I even called that morning 3 hours into my 4 hour window to verify and was told someone was en route only to find out when I called 90 minutes later I was only then told that the appointment was canceled. I later spoke with the repair facility and they told me they had declined the job because they didnt have availability!Seems Im luckier than most that my LG fridge has gone 8 years without incident. 16 days ago my wife opened it in the morning and it was totally dead. No lights, no compressor, just no power. The outlet tested fine but the lack of lights pointed to it being electrical. I called the toll free number for LG on the inside of fridge and the person seemed helpful enough; Said it probably needed a new motherboard, but because it was out of warranty he would need my credit card details and for $361 we could get this fixed. Thats cheaper than a new fridge so I gave him what I needed and they were certainly very expedient in putting the charge on my credit card! I started to look around on the internet to see if any other reports of this issue and if the fridge could in fact be saved and learned that this whole issue likely stemmed from a small, blown 15 amp fuse... A part that LG soldered into the motherboard rather than put in a easily bracket for easy replacement that could be purchased for about 25 cents.After the no-show appointment, LG Customer Service said they would give the job to another repair facility. They put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and told me they had left them a voicemail and they gave me the phone number and told me that I was free to reach out to them too. I phoned, and left a voicemail around midday that Friday and never received a callback. Over the weekend I phoned and left another voicemail to give them my cell # as well as Id be back at work on Monday and that would be the best number to reach me. By midday on Monday I still had not gotten a call. I did call the number through from the email confirmation the previous week and got a speaking person who gave me the true story on the canceled appointment and told me they could see me on Wednesday afternoon. Confirmed it with them and asked them to contact LG and that I would do the same to let them know that their other company doesnt appear to exist and they need to reassign it to the original technician they schedule. I called LG and was on the phone on hold for most of the time for almost an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes I was disconnected and nobody called me back (all this time Im at work and doing LGs work for them!). I called LG back on my way home and the told me all was good to go.Repairman comes on Wednesday (approximately 1 week since no fridge/contacting LG) after I take a half day to be home and the diagnosis is a blown fuse. Great, but despite it being known from the onset that the motherboard needs to be replaced he doesnt have the part, but they do have 2 in their warehouse and will work with the warranty company on the formalities to try and replace by Friday. No appointment gets made, Repair Service says theyre waiting on LG to approve. I call LG and they tell me another Department cant make the appointment as the Repair Services schedule isnt available online. I call the Repair Service and they tell me nonsense, theyre getting scheduling confirmations from them right now. I call LG back, they tell me theyre now waiting on the Claims Department to approve the part, a process that can take up to 3 business days (this despite charging me almost $400 to replace the part over a week ago).Monday this week comes and I have no phone call, and no appointment. I call LG back and again more being put on hold but now the explanation is were waiting on the part to come in. They couldnt answer me when their Claims Dept approved this so we arrived to this step, nor why we couldnt have had the repair facility (a LG contracted provider!) use one of theirs. They have in stock but Im starting to feel this whole thing is shady. They told me refrigerator repairs are given priority status (a joke!) and that my simple repair was being given a priority to be remedied this week.I called LG back 2 days later (Wednesday, 2 weeks of no fridge and first contact with LG) having not heard back from them and was told that the system shows that I was told that I would be contacted by Friday at the latest if the part had not arrived. I lost my patience at that point and told them I was not told the part coming in would take a full week and that I was instead told that my repair would be a priority to be completed this week and how could we be waiting on a part we knew it needed from the onset, that is readily available to purchase online at a fraction of what Im being charged, and that their repair service was in possession of 2 of them. I told them that rather than trying to bilk a few extra dollars of profit on this 5 minute repair job by using the cheapest available board they can assign in their system they really need to make this a customer resolution case as its been 2 weeks and I need to speak with someone who can look at this absurd situation and make an actual decision to get it fixed. They tell me they will try to forward me to a supervisor to see if they can help. After 10+ minutes on hold the person I was speaking with comes back online and tells me the repair appointment has been made for between 8 AM and 12 PM tomorrow. I thought someone in charge realized and was acting in customer-retention mode until they told me it was not the repairman who had seen me a week ago that would be coming but the one who never returned my 2 voicemails. I asked to confirm for certain hes bringing the board and fully prepared for the appointment to make the repair and am told is the case.I take another half day from work, and the repairman shows up early and when I let him in my house I half-jokingly say to him, Please tell me you have the board and he looks at me with no clue and says he didnt bring anything, the work-order he got only said LG Refrigerator - not cooling. Hes almost as angry as I am that he wasnt told the fridge was totally dead of electric and that another technician had already been here and made the diagnosis. I felt bad for him as he came from a good distance away in the teeth of rush hour having been told to make my call a priority but a total waste of his time and mine. At this point I called LG and just lost it with them and essentially told them their Out of Warranty purchase had to be some kind of scam bordering on criminality as there is no way a real business enterprise could be this incompetent! I was told my account was being escalated to their real Resolution people (i.e. the ones tasked with explaining the inexcusable) and it would take 24 to 48 business hours for one of them to contact me and no doubt the buffer is in hopes that Im much calmer.I have a family of 4 thats been living out of a cooler on my kitchen floor the last 16 days and running out every other night for a new 16 LBS bag of ice. I had to invest in a chest freezer for my garage so that we had some kind of food for my kids on-hand. Ive burned 2 full days off from work and have easily spent more than 3 hours on the phone during business hours on hold with LG. And my fridge is still not fixed, and no appointment in sight for someone to come here and essentially unplug 5 little plugs and then plug the 5 little plugs into the new board. And they charged me almost $400 for this level of service when I could have gotten a new board for $120 and done this myself.I think LG right now on the service front is trying to milk the last nickel of profit on these out of warranty purchases on the assumption it will be the last nickel they see from these customers. Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy experiences like this will make a reality. Maybe the US market isnt working out for LG Appliance as it doesnt seem like their heart is in it for the long-haul.

We purchased an LG refrigerator; it has French doors and with a bottom freezer. Shortly after it was installed, the freezer started accumulating ice. We had it repaired several times because the electronic circuits were defective, and the problem recurred. LG refuses to take responsibility for the problem even though they have re-designed the circuit board at least ten times. My repairman told me that they have this problem since the refrigerator came to the market. I have paid hundreds of dollars in service calls, and the last time I spoke to their customer service department I was met with complete indifference. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. Another issue is with this unit is poorly designed; it has a very flimsy hardware for the crisper drawers that keep coming off the rails. That issue was also not acknowledged.

Have had problems with ice maker freeze up; frost build up around the door vents that feed the ice maker and most recently a complete failure of the cooling to both refrigerator and freezer compartments. Entire food contents had to be discarded. A major nuisance for a refrigerator with this price tag. Waiting for warranty repair. Will see how that goes.

I have had the LG WT4870CT top load washer that I purchased exactly two years ago. I noticed rust around the bleach dispenser so I notified LG and let them know about the problem. When I finally got the proof of purchase to them they told me that I did not wipe the area properly. The rust is coming from under the bleach dispenser, leaking through to the top. I will need to hire someone to get to the area under the dispenser so I can take a picture of the problem. If I do it myself they might say they will not guarantee something that was not professionally repaired. It is very frustrating.

I will never...I repeat, NEVER buy any LG appliance again. The top-loading HE washer I bought 2 years ago (Model WT4870C) has been nothing but a disappointment. To call it a piece of junk would be an insult to junk. And LG customer service is terrible! Dont think you will get any sympathy or help from the company. Theyve got your money, and thats all they care about. Apparently, quality means nothing to them. First of all, the area around the bleach dispenser rusted. Do you want rust on your clothes? Me either. Thats why I called customer service. Instead of agreement that rust in a washing machine is not acceptable, I was told, If liquid gets on the metal, it can rust. Really? Then why does it say to put liquid bleach there (in the dispenser!) if no liquid is supposed to touch it? And besides, in their opinion, the rust is a cosmetic issue.When I complained that rust can ruin clothes, they told me that I could send them my damaged clothes, and they would review them, and possibly issue some compensation FOR THE CLOTHES! Now, only 2 years into owning this washer, it breaks! I cannot use it at all! It was running when suddenly a terrible noise was heard coming from it (not the normal terrible noises it usually makes), and the tub could not stop. Natural frictional force caused it to finally come to a stop. But now it cannot spin at all. Even though the washer displays proudly on the front a 10-year warranty, that only covers the motor. And guess what: You have to pay for a technician to come out to determine whether it is the motor or not. So you are out a service charge no matter what! (Oh, and even if it is the motor, you still have to pay labor charges out of pocket.) (FYI: The photo attached shows the dispenser after I removed the plastic surround.)

The manufacturer came out, ordered the part and had it delivered to my house the next day. He returned to install it. Then less than 18 months after purchasing the new refrigerator, it started making a strange noise. The next morning, there was water in it.Called LG and was told the warranty was up since it was over a year old to call Abt and use my extended warranty service. Called Abt, they diagnosed the problem as it needing a new condenser! Had to wait on the part. Returned a week later installed the condenser. Later the same day, the panel on the doorways showing an error code and the ice maker or water dispenser wouldnt work nor was it cooling in the refrigerator but the freezer was working. Used my extended service warranty again, had to wait a week to get the part and reschedule another service call. They came out to install the fan.I have now had all three major parts on this less than 1.5 year old LG refrigerator. What else can go wrong now? Thank goodness I had an old 30 year old refrigerator in my garage to use as a backup! Wouldnt ever buy an LG refrigerators again. Hoping this last five years! My earlier refrigerator lasted 22 years with no repairs. I just bought a new one since I had my kitchen remodeled!

Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

I was looking for a side-by-side refrigerator and most of the manufacturers don€t have the side-by-side still but LG did. The unit also fit where my older refrigerator was perfectly and we got a great deal online from Costco. We figured we€d try it. The space that the refrigerator has is awesome. It has plenty of space and it€s great to have that space. We have 12 grandkids and three kids, and everybody€s always here so my refrigerator fills up fast. It€s been the best refrigerator until we had problems.Our compressor went out and the freezer wasn€t freezing. The day that we finally figured out that the unit was going out, I called LG. I also called Costco because there was a year warranty but Costco also covered another two years. The unit doesn€t come up for three years until October and Costco told me to definitely put a claim in. In fact, they put the claim in for me. Then I had to call LG to find somebody to come out that worked on LG. Then a girl called me up and asked how soon I needed it. I said, Now, and the next morning at 8:00, they were here. They fixed the compressor, which has 10 years warranty, and I didn€t have to pay or do anything. The refrigerator is working perfectly now.

It cost almost $2600, but I wanted something that would last. Boy, that sure didnt happen... Not quite 7 years later my freezer and icemaker both stopped working. The ice maker needed replacement just a few months after purchase and now it failed again. Im sure its somehow related to the freezer no longer freezing things. I have an International Harvester refrigerator in my barn that was purchased by my parents in 1950 and it still works fine. How discouraging that this LG fridge has already puked out.

No sólo es un inconveniente, sino también un peligro para la seguridad. En algunas ocasiones, me encontré con que el gas seguía abierto cuando sabía que lo había apagado después de cocinar. Llamé al servicio de atención al cliente. El mío no es uno de los modelos a los que el servicio de atención al cliente puede enviar piezas de repuesto. Para comprar perillas en línea costaría más de $ 63,ea. La unidad se ha mantenido muy bien. Un usuario. No hay niños en el hogar. La vida útil de este electrodoméstico es muy corta en comparación con otras estufas que he tenido. Ni Home Deport ni LG parecen preocuparse lo más mínimo.

I was out of country for business when my wife tells me our 5 year old LG refrigerator stopped working. I had her call LG customer service department (India). They provided her with an authorized LG Service Center 50 miles from our house. The cost for the service center to make the service call to my home was $215 which included 1 hour of labor that would be applied to the service call and anything left over applied to the repair. It took the service center 1 week to make the service call. At 5 years my refrigerator has only a 7 year warranty on the compressor with no labor covered. The service call by the service center determined the compressor and motherboard were bad. The repairman only assessed the call for 15 minutes leaving 45 minutes toward repair. I was also told that I would have to get the parts from LG. Contacted LG for the parts and they said the service center would have to order the parts.I went back and forth for about a week between the service center and LG. Got an LG Case Number that was offered after about the 15th call to LG. I asked for a US based LG customer service rep and was told that does not exist. Today LG offered to send the Service Center a Part Authorization # so that they could order the parts. I am going on 3 weeks without a refrigerator functioning in my home. I was told the Part Authorization # will take at least 3 days. The service center says once they have the Part Authorization # it will take about a week to get the part. Then another week to come out for the service repair call. If you are thinking of purchasing an LG product you are out of your freakn mind.

Several years ago my wife purchased an LG French door refrigerator. Almost immediately we began to hear weird noises from the freezer so we called in a service call. We were told it was ice forming in the back wall of the freezer and it was interfering with the fan blades. The tech told us the only cure was to unplug the refrigerator and let the ice melt. We did this and over the next several years were required to do it a number of times more. The tech told us it was a design flaw and LG would void the warranty if we called it in too often, that is if LG even responded. The ice drawer has no back to it and ice continually falls behind it and onto the bottom of the freezer under the freezer drawer. So that whenever you open the drawer, ice is pulled out onto the floor. Just tonight, my son noticed that there was a burning smell in the fridge and that several food containers were warm. Turns out the lights in the refrigerator are not turning off when the door is closed, so I had to unscrew the bulbs to prevent a fire or food spoilage. At this point I dont even think I will call LG as their service and warranty performance is either awful or nonexistent. Needless to say I will never buy another LG product and will vociferously deter anyone I know from purchasing one. As an aside, I received an LG Blu-ray player as a gift a while back and the first time it was hooked up, it didnt work either. It had to be returned for an exchange and while the second one worked it too has regular problems and has to be unplugged to be rebooted in order to function. I guess LG stands for Lousy Goods or Lotsa Grief.

I chose to purchase an LG refrigerator over other brands because this brand had what I was looking for at the time. LG has met my expectations. I would still consider purchasing an LG brand, but I would consider getting a different style. The features that I like most about the refrigerator is that it has a built in freezer, as well as an ice dispenser and water dispenser. I like to be able to have my fridge produce ice rather than going to buy ice or having to make it with a tray. The features that I dislike about the refrigerator is that after a while, the freezer component becomes very noisy when you open it. Another feature that I dislike would be that the ice dispenser becomes very frozen and the ice gets stuck together and I have to break off the ice pieces individually.

At that time they determined it was the compressor which was still covered by warranty. They ordered the part and we were given the runaround. One day the part is being shipped, the next days its on back-order. After 2 weeks and too many phone calls to count we are told that that part is discontinued and they would have to research to see what to do. WHY DO YOU DISCONTINUE A PART ON A REFRIGERATOR THAT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY???2 weeks ago they said the part was being shipped and should be in on July 30th. Today is August 8th and we are told today the part should be in by the end of the week - August 12th. As of now I have been without a refrigerator for 5 WEEKS!!! We looked into the part ourselves and found out that we could order the part online and get it installed tomorrow but LG refuses to reimburse us for the part which is the warranty item. We asked them why they couldnt order from this company and they said they dont do that.They offered no pro-rated refund on my fridge as they initially discussed so Im stuck with either sitting another week without a refrigerator in the middle of the summer or I have to buy the part myself and pay for the WHOLE THING or go out and buy an entirely new refrigerator. How would they feel if their family didnt have a refrigerator for over 5 weeks. Thank God I have a wonderful neighbor who is letting me use her garage refrigerator. I am also out several hundred $$ in food that I have had to throw out because there was nowhere for me to store it and keep it cold for this extended period of time. NEVER EVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE!!!

Time frame was 5 wks d/t, part not in stock, reorder wait & install. 8/1/18 fridge dead. Told 8/14 would be soonest tech would be available to come out, diagnose, possible order part if not available then repair...2+ weeks with no working fridge. Told I could rent one in the meantime and be reimbursed at 25% of the cost of my fridge. Seriously?!! Lost food, utilize insulin (requires refrigeration), had to purchase a new fridge ASAP.I don€t about anyone else but I don€t have $2200-$3000 lying around for new fridges every 4yrs. Totally unacceptable! I will NEVER purchase another LG product again as they are not supported by the company once you get them in your home. It was suggested that I have it moved into the garage after I get the new one & allow them to repair it. Why the hell would I do that? I don€t need 2 fridges, I just need 1 that is reliable & works!

I bought a LG washer and Dryer, paid 2100.00 only to find I bought the worst products ever. I have contacted not only Home Depot but LG directly. I have emailed pictures to LG only to be told I did service my washer machine. How do you service a washer machine for rust? LG notified me to contact Home Depot for them to fix it or just buy spray paint to cover the rust. Home Depot stated it is a defect, that LG needs to repair it if not replace it due to defect product. After making numerous calls, I have come to the point neither stands by their product. This isnt a cosmetic issue. It is called junk defected product. Anyone looking to buy anything from LG dont do it. There is better out there. I will be taking this to every new station, Facebook and etc to get the word out to the public.

Weve had the UE issue since we bought the LG top load washer and it has gotten progressively worse. LG customer service is willing to send out a tech for $300, are you kidding me?? Make a product that works! Weve only had the washer for a few years and its had the issue since the beginning. This issue seems to be pretty wide spread and is causing consumers to waste water and endless hours trying to get a load to wash properly. This needs to be a recall or it will soon be a class action lawsuit.

This has been the worst washer ever. Like so many reviews before me the washing machine never shuts off. I have been washing one blanket since 9:00 this morning. I just told it to spin out so it would stop. I read many of the reviews on this LG waveforce washer yesterday and felt it wasnt worth the time and money to work with it. Cost me $2000 today to replace the washer and dryer because I wanted them to match. I am actually going to set the pair in garage hoping that there is a class action suit and I get my money back.

I reported a range/oven from the time the oven was turned on. The staff at LG that takes complaints and concerns told me to send pictures of the warped oven. However, several attempts to get some type of follow through and repair was unsuccessful. The oven condition showed that it had been defective when the range was manufactured. Gus from LG did not return phone calls after the pictures were sent by mail and then faxed. To this date, I have not heard anything back from the company. This incident will determine what purchases I make in the future.

Lo tuvimos durante 2 semanas cuando nos dimos cuenta de que el estante extraíble del medio en el congelador se había arqueado y las cajas de los huevos se atascaban. Llamé a Lowes y como era tan nuevo me dijeron que llamara a LG. Bueno, llamé a LG y están ubicados en Filipinas. Pedí que me enviaran de vuelta a los Estados Unidos y me dijeron que no podían. El único inconveniente es la eliminación de las manchas, independientemente de la marca del detergente, la mayoría de las manchas no salen. Es necesario un tratamiento adecuado de las manchas antes del lavado. No sé qué más decir, aparte de que no veo ninguna diferencia entre el ciclo normal y el ciclo de vapor. Tuve un problema de óxido después del primer año en una llamada lavadora libre de óxido. Me costó mucho insistir en la terminología legal y en la amenaza de los medios de comunicación social para que me la cambiaran. No es lo mejor cuando se llama por un defecto después del primer año.

Compramos todos los productos de LG y todos ellos no han estado a la altura. El mayor problema son las perillas de la estufa de gas. Los mandos deberían ser declarados DEFECTUOSOS y PELIGROSOS. En mi carrera viajo bastante y aunque tengo hijos adultos en casa a veces no se dan cuenta de que el gas está encendido por culpa de los pomos rotos. El plástico blanco de la parte interior se ha agrietado haciendo que los pomos sólo giren pero no apaguen del todo la estufa. Me he puesto en contacto con LG y también me han dicho que compre pomos nuevos, sin embargo se pueden comprar los pomos pero el problema sigue sin solucionarse. Me he dado cuenta de que las nuevas estufas de LG tienen pomos que son muy firmes. Por que no cambiar las perillas viejas por las del nuevo modelo. Ruego que antes de que ocurra algo como explosiones de gas, fugas de gas, etc., descarten que los pomos son defectuosos y actualicen a todos los antiguos clientes con los nuevos pomos. Un par de miles de dólares es mejor que un par de millones de dólares para demandas importantes.

My 6-year-old refrigerator quit completely (most likely compressor). I called LG as parts are still under warranty. They gave me 3 places to call to schedule a repair. Two places stated they no longer accepted any service calls on LG repairs and one said she was so far out of my area she didnt know why they gave me their number. I called LG back and was told to see if I could find somebody. I called several places and got the same thing so I called LG back again. I was then told I would be placed with scheduling and somebody would call me in 3 to 5 business days. I asked was their list different or more current and was told his list was fine. I asked him to go unplug his refrigerator for the next 10 days and throw away $300.00 worth of food. He said there was no reason for me to get smart. This is unbelievable. LG doesnt know which of their service providers still honor their calls??? I am now shopping for a refrigerator after 3 days of doing without and no resolution in sight and considering an attorney. I have read far too many horror stories.

LG Washing Machine Front Loading WM235OH*C - mold in unit: As the other 899 complaints, I purchased my Washer and Dryer Set 5/9/2011. From day one, the detergent dispenser had standing water and the tub would get a foul odor. I read the owner€s manual and it stated that both were common. The foul odor could be removed with a HE washing machine cleaner and it should be used monthly. It is also recommended to leave the door ajar. I also called customer service and they confirmed that both were normal. I started noticing mold spots on the detergent dispenser tray and would clean it and run an extra load of bleach through the machine. My clothes were not cleaning properly and the smell never went away. On 12.13.12, I noticed more mold spots so this time I had my husband completely take the top off the machine and remove the dispenser tray. The tray and plastic gasket that allows the detergent to flow into the machine were covered in solid black mold. I called LG immediately and offered to forward pictures. The rep I spoke to, was very empathic and stated that LG will back their product and either replace or refund the machine. She also promised that someone from the Executive Team would call me the next morning to handle this issue quickly for me. No one called me. At 3:00 pm, I finally called them back and this time my phone conversation was very different - no one was going to do anything. They could send out a repair tech but that would cost me and most likely find nothing wrong since standing water and odor is normal. They stated the mold came from not using HE detergent and not cleaning the machine. I told her, €I am not stupid, of course I followed the owner€s manual not to mention all the stickers on the machine that say only use HE detergent.€ The commercials on TV indicate to only use HE detergent for HE machines and to avoid the smell from the tub, use the HE cleanser monthly. Duh. Really. If I was that stupid, I wouldn€t be calling anyone. I told them I would be more than happy to forward the pictures of the mold and articles on the health risks that black mold offers. She stated that LG would not replace, refund, or promise repair on the machine. I agree with all the other 899 people. Do not buy LG. Do not throw away money and very important - do not place your health at risk

Hace cuatro meses, dejó de funcionar en medio de una carga de ropa y atrapó toda la carga en la lavadora porque el mecanismo de desbloqueo no dejó de funcionar cuando la lavadora lo hizo. El primer técnico me dijo que comprara una lavadora nueva y que rompiera la tapa... ¡en una lavadora de 6 años! Entonces empezó la diversión (citando a muchos otros revisores). Los representantes telefónicos de LG no te dan una respuesta directa, no entienden los problemas, no hacen un seguimiento, se niegan a reconocer tus problemas, e incluso mienten - puedo seguir y seguir. Además, la propia corporación LG se aprovecha de los consumidores ignorando sus quejas y cobrando precios exorbitantes por las piezas para que los consumidores se vean obligados a comprar un nuevo aparato. I purchased the LG WT5101HW Wave Series ultra large capacity high efficiency top load washer with LED display, ColdWash technology, 1100 RPM, energy star compliant on January 1, 2011 after spending hours on Consumer Reports looking for the best machine. I purchased the machine from Appliance Connection and even though they encouraged me to purchase the extended warranty, I did not. I now have an EO error that will not go away. I checked on the LG website and the only remedy was to remove the hose and look for blockages and to check the filter. I did check the hose, there was no kinking and no blockage. There is no filter in the drain line, the only filters are in the hot and cold water supply lines which have nothing to do with water draining from the machine. The only way to get the machine to drain is to have the line lower than the tub, which is not feasible because I do not want the dirty water draining on the floor or for that matter, anywhere other than the drain line. When the error occurred, the machine had a load of towels and we had to wring the towels out and remove the water manually by dipping it out with a small bucket. This took a great deal of time and energy. The LG representative told me that I need a service call and the company that performs the maintenance is 1.5 hours from where I live and cannot respond until Friday between 8 and noon. This is very frustrating to have an issue that may or may not be corrected before the weekend because the technician may or may not have the parts. I also checked the company that is to respond to the service call and they have had several negative comments from former customers. I have now read the comments on this site and am apprehensive as to whether I will have a satisfactory outcome. I am also contacting Consumer Reports since I relied on their evaluation of this washer. I also purchased a dryer and I did get a 4-year extended warranty, which I will probably need. I had a Maytag washer that is now being used by my son and his college roommates. I may ask for it back!

I purchased an LG Washing machine with the pedestal back in April of 2010 for $1,309.95 from P.C. Richards. After 3-years and 4-months, my machine stopped spinning and had a loud squeaking noise. I paid about $400.00 in repairs at that time for a power cord and the computer control panel which completely burnt out. After the P.C. Richards Repair Man left, I washed exactly 2-loads of clothes before the washer stopped spinning and I had to call the Repair man back from P.C. Richards to find out what the problem was. Well after the 4th visit from P.C. Richards Repair Men, I was told that a Ball Barren was missing and it would be a very expensive job to do. With that being said, I went for a second opinion and was told that was indeed the problem which would cost me $500.00 to repair. You know when people purchase expensive appliances like washers and dryers from Manufacturers like LG, they expect the product to last at least 10 to 15 years. I am deeply disgusted and appalled. What can I do to seek punitive damages? I am a working mother of 3 and am at a hardship to make ends meet and cannot afford a new washer right now which I was told by the repairman I should purchase a new machine. In TEARS, can someone help me please?

Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good at evaluating them: we like the LG refrigerator overall, the interior layout and the 2 freezer drawers but, it has several annoying drawbacks/problems: (a) the flipper on the left-hand door, which flips to allow the door to properly close, has an extremely close tolerance, and we have already had a repairman come in to adjust it so the door would properly close (he told us its a common problem and showed me how to do it in the future). (b) The design of the ice dispenser is terrible, as it is nearly impossible to position a glass without some ice chips falling outside the glass, and, if you do not notice that someone has left the dispenser switch in the ice setting (a tiny light indicator) and you want a glass of cold water, the ice dispenser dumps out a load of ice before you can stop it, or vice versa, and if you have a visitor, make sure he/she doesnt go to get ice/water by himself; (c) the unit is noisy, as the case vibrates - if I press against the side the vibration stops, but starts again when I take my hand off; and (d) when it was delivered a small plastic part was missing on the flipper hinge, I asked Customer Service if they could just send me that little part, but no, they said they had to send a repairman, which required 2 visits as he could only replace the entire flipper assembly. We would show a friend these conditions before buying an LG.

I did purchase the extended warranty but it didnt take a year for problems to arise. 3 months after purchase I had front panel moisture, then the fridge and freezer stopped working. Three repair visits and 2.4 months later, they were unable to fix the fridge. Lost Enbrel shots (3K worth), all condiments, fruit, veggies, etc. There are no provisions from LG to compensate you at all for any loss. No fridge in the interim to live? - LG not concerned. A local appliance company sent me a loaner when things got desperate. The lack of quick follow-up, poor attitude on the phone, lack of interest in finding a repair company that will come out to fix the appliance and a general interest in taking care of the problem was outrageous. Literally have never had this kind of experience. 3 months... Why didnt LG recognize it might be a bad unit and move to replace the appliance? I will tell everyone I know, the builder who has much of the business here, neighbors, workmates, etc. to not buy LG appliances. That is my only power as a consumer. I understand if things break - what I dont understand is a company failing to stand behind a $2600.00 appliance that is 3 months old. Shame on LG!

No se presentaron a la cita de servicio, no me notificaron a través de la cadena de texto desde la que CONFIRMARON, llamaron desde un NÚMERO FRAUDULENTO y luego dijeron que EL CLIENTE no estaba disponible? Llamé ese mismo día y lo reprogramé para 2 días después. Todavía no se presentaron. Llamé y me dijeron que cerraban la reclamación porque NUNCA HABÍAN SABIDO DE MÍ después de la primera cita???? Sí, lo hicieron (de hecho, su línea de apoyo ejecutivo oyó de mí) y me dijeron que mi día y hora reprogramados eran hoy 8-12. ¡En este punto, dijeron que iba a ser OTRA SEMANA?! ¿Por qué NO HAY PRIORIDAD cuando ELLOS causaron estos retrasos? Finalmente accedieron a que viniera un proveedor de servicios externo. Lo llamé inmediatamente y fue increíble. Estuvo allí en 30 minutos para evaluar la situación. ¡¡¡¡Entre su llegada y las 2 horas siguientes, obtuve un nuevo número de caso con un nuevo proveedor de servicios (que no necesitaba ni había pedido) y cancelaron el billete con el que trabajaba !!!! Ahora no puede pedir piezas para mí, y esperan que me siente en casa todo el día de mañana para esperar a que venga otro técnico? Nunca he experimentado una situación de servicio al cliente peor en mi vida. No volveré a comprar nada de LG y definitivamente difundiré mi historia en cualquier lugar que pueda. I purchased the LG HE top loader (machine # WT 4801CW) in December 2011. It has never effectively cleaned a single load of clothes. Shirts come out of the wash still smelling of perfume/cologne; sheets come out with large dry spots where they never got wet. Washing in cold or hot water does not matter, nor does setting the washer on the highest level for soil and the extra high level of spin speed. I do not use a clothes dryer, so I use fabric softener but the clothes are so wrinkled even if I remove them the instant the cycle stops that every single item would need to be ironed. Even when washing very small loads (one pair jeans, 2 shirts, 2 pairs socks) there are dry spots on the clothes until the final rinse cycle, so they are obviously not getting clean. This machine will not remove any stain at all, no matter how minor. It also takes over 60 minutes to wash one load and has increased the number of loads I do a week despite having a much larger capacity than my previous washer. Luckily, when we bought it at Best Buy, they provided a 30-day return policy. My new washer will arrive this weekend. Im back to a front load Frigidaire, which is what I had before. I never had a single complaint about that machine. It lasted 18 years and never had a single service call, cleaned every single thing we ever put in it, and was very inexpensive to operate as well as having a much more reasonable price than anything else we saw on the market.

On 10/12/2015 we purchased a 46 LG 30 CF 4 DR Refrigerator from Sears. It was delivered and set up around the 21st of the same month. Once set up we noticed scratches in both doors and a couple weeks later were replaced. Because we were having things completed in kitchen, it was unplugged and not used till the beginning of January 2016 at which point everything was fine with this $3000.00 plus refrigerator. On September 1st we got home from work and opened the refrigerator and noticed that everything in there was hot. So being a holiday weekend, we waited till Monday to call Sears where it was purchased to have a repair person come to fix it. A week later the man came and said it was the compressor and he would have to order the parts. Sounds good until we are told it would be close to three weeks to get the parts. OK so we wait the night before the repair man is to come we call and ask him if he received the compressor as we had not. He calls the parts place and they are having trouble finding the parts and it will be another 3 to 4 weeks to get the part in if they even come in. At this point we have been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have been told it could be another month. So we were so mad that we called LG directly and explained what had happened and was told by a customer service rep if we got our receipt showing when we purchased it they would replace it. Ok on the phone for hours getting everything they need the next day we scan everything to them and are told it is our problem and they will not help us. That was a 1 year and 10 month old item. We explained that it was not used until 4 months after we purchased it. However they did not care. LG has the rudest people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We also went back to Sears and was told they could not help us either as they have to wait on the parts and they are not sure when they will get them. Ok so you go out and purchase an appliance and it is not to last over 1 year? This is crazy. All the reviews that I have read also say that it is the compressor that is the problem so at this point no one can help any of us with this problem. This does not seem too fair. Also, the stores that are selling the LG products knowing that there are all of these complaints and service calls for the same thing. How can companies still sell these items that only work for a year or two and then tell you you€re on your own. LG is not standing by their products and this is very sad that they are allow to get away with this. If this was a car dealer there would be recalls and the problem would be fixed for free, why is LG allow to get away with this and do this to honest working people. We are asking for help from LG and would appreciate hearing from someone who cares about Customer Service not selling poor products and then telling us they can€t help.
