Recibí la entrega de Home Depot de mi cocina LSG4513ST el 16 de diciembre de 2020. Inmediatamente empecé a oler a gas cuando la cocina estaba encendida, pero me dijeron que era normal y que el horno tenía que funcionar un rato y se disiparía. El olor a gas no se disipó y era y es detectable por mi medidor de gas. Home Depot no pudo enviar a nadie a mi casa para comprobar la cocina hasta el 31 de diciembre. El 31 de diciembre, el fontanero y el instalador de gas vinieron a mi casa, inspeccionaron la cocina y dijeron que era defectuosa y que había que cambiarla. Me dijeron que tenía que ponerme en contacto con LG y así lo hice. LG tardó hasta el día 1,4 en enviar a su representante que es ASAP solutions. ASAP solutions inspeccionó la cocina y dijo que necesitaba un nuevo encendedor y un colector. Evidentemente, había lo que ellos llaman un boletín en esta nueva gama de 2200 dólares. En otras palabras, tenía piezas defectuosas que se sabían que eran defectuosas cuando compré la cocina, por la que esperé varias semanas ya que estaba en pedido pendiente. De hecho, la cocina no se fabricó hasta octubre de 2020 y se envió desde Corea. En lugar de reemplazar la cocina, el representante de LG de ASAP Solutions dijo que iban a reemplazar el encendedor y el colector. Me dijeron que tardarían como mucho una semana en pedir las piezas y reparar la cocina. Esa semana ya ha pasado y el subcontratista de LG ni siquiera responde a mis correos electrónicos sobre cuándo se resolverá el problema. Me gustaría añadir que comprendo que estamos en medio de una pandemia y que esto no es lo habitual. He tenido que pedir a numerosas personas que vinieran a mi casa, a expensas de la salud de mi propia familia, para pasar por este proceso y seguir sin tener un campo de tiro que funcione. No he tenido una gama de trabajo desde el 16 de diciembre de 2020 antes de la entrega de esta gama muy caro que nunca ha funcionado, y por cierto, he comprado una garantía extendida. Si se me permite, también me gustaría añadir que mi familia ha tenido que ir sin una gama durante las vacaciones y no parece haber ninguna resolución a la vista.

I have an LG front load fairly new machine and I absolutely hate it. I loved the fact its suppose to save money as it is and helps the environment. I have had the machine 5 years now. The only thing I like is the lights during the washing procedure. I was looking for efficiency but there is nothing efficient about a heavy soiled load of clothes taking over an hour to wash. The machine does not let you soak or pre soak clothes. With muddy clothing, sometimes things need to soak. The machine smells like mildew or mold all the time. The rubber seal is disgusting to look at and clean. Not sure who came up with this brilliant machine but I think its awful. There is barely any water on the clothing when washing. I dont like it at all and with it being 2,000 I feel like I got ripped off. My dryer is a Samsung steam or dry dryer. Never lost an article of clothing in it. The dryer works great. So far no issues.The machine takes forever to wash. The clothes dry quick because they barely get wet. But they do spin fast. I hate the fact there is still pet hair on my uniform pants and some types of fabrics which really makes me mad. Also I cannot soak soiled clothes. The machine drains out any excess water. I am so not a fan of this machine. I am so annoyed with it. I would trade it off for an older top loading machine in a heartbeat.

Compré este conjunto porque me gustaba el aspecto del acero inoxidable con una capa transparente en la parte superior. Lamentablemente, después de 3 años, el acabado de la parte superior de la lavadora no ha aguantado y tiene muchas marcas y rayas, lo cual es extraño porque el acabado no parece rayado, sólo tiene decoloraciones. Hay un ajuste, Desgaste deportivo, que no tiene ninguna característica asociada, lo que parece un error. Lo eliges y no hay ningún ajuste. No hay temperatura, velocidad, giro, etc. Simplemente están en blanco. Me gustaría poder añadir el ajuste de suavizante para cada tipo de lavado, pero no está disponible en varios. Por lo demás, parece hacer un buen trabajo y tiene una gran capacidad.

I am writing this letter because my mom who lives with a terminal illness has been without a fridge for nine days. Neither the fridge nor freezer works. This isnt the first time. She went without a fridge for a week before this a month ago. She recently purchased this fridge in October of 2012. We were told to go buy or ask a neighbor for a cooler to put our food in. We live in a very small town, and it is difficult to eat out all the time. We have been losing out hundreds of dollars with the food going spoiled. In addition, I am working all day, and my mom is without food. The first guy who came to fix the fridge brought a hair dryer. The second guy said he only ordered the part for the freezer and not the fridge even though we told him that neither worked. When my mom called the appliance company to see how soon the part was coming in and asked if she could get the part number, the manager said he did not have to tell her that and spoke very rudely. Then when she asked when the technician was coming out, the manager told her the technician would be in court all day. My mom isnt able to speak well as her muscles are going out. She also noticed a scratch on her fridge that was done by the technicians. The appliance company said they had nothing to do with that as did LG when we called.Therefore, I called and spoke with the supervisor and filed a formal complaint hoping someone will hear our frustrations. The supervisor was helpful and did as much as he could, which was to see when the part would come in. However, the manager of the appliance company said he was on the road and couldnt give the information right there and then. That is understandable, but I dont understand why it is taking so long to get a part in. Can the part not be delivered in 1 or 2 business days? We paid over $1200 for this fridge. I dont understand the customer service. The appliance company has been rude and LG has not been able to do much. I understand there is a process for everything, but this has become too much. What are we to do? My mom is stressed with having a terminal illness and her husband passing away recently. Can you please fix this situation? I have sent this through the post office with urgency hoping that you can address the situation.

I contacted your technician through my dealer at Kottakkal in Malappuram dist. The technician informed me that the warranty period is over and theres nothing to do. Though the complaint noticed recently it occurred, quite early, within one year of purchase. I am not only a customer of LG refrigerator but I have LG TV, LG PC and likely to buy an LG washing machine. I expect your favorable action.

I have an LG washer and the detergent/fabric softener drawer would not open at all. I looked online to see if anyone else had problems with this. There is a list of them. What is happening is, the cover on the fabric softener portion in the drawer is lifting up and getting stuck. Same problem everyone else is having. There should be a recall on this. Very poor design. I purchased a fridge from Best Buy in 2013. It was an open item but was only a display item never leaving the store. We had the understanding that LG would honor open ticket items as though they were brand new. If we had known that LG (according to them) do not honor open item warranties I would not have bought the open item to save $100. I would have gone with a unopened product. But that isnt the full issue. So we bought a fridge it 2013 had some minor issues with the fridge but were able to fix the problems with a little help from videos as they were not major issues nothing repairing just thawing or cleaning something up. Well about 3-4 weeks ago we noticed our food was no longer staying cold and everything in our freezer was thawed and had to be thrown out and fridge was also not keeping things cold and lost most of our fridge stuff as well. We contacted LG to see if they could have someone come out and fix the issue as it was still under warranty. Well they called back to say they could get someone out to us in two weeks. We have young children in the home so going without a fridge for 2 weeks was not acceptable. We spoke to best buy and they recommended a repair place that is LG certified to come out and look at it. We contacted them and they asked the model and serial number once he got that information he knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. He has been fixing about 2-5 of these a week for the past year as it was a known defect during assembly of the product. When he first started seeing these issues appear he spoke to a tech at LG and the tech from LG let it slip mistakenly that during assembly of a part the worker bypassed procedures and did not install or use a spark shield. Without that part during assembly the part would fail within 4-5 years. And it looks based on the fact that he has fixed 2-5 a week that it is actually happening a lot. We had the repairman order the parts to get it fixed and we then find out that we would be charged a flat rate of $399 + tax or $425 to repair this. Parts would be all covered but labor wasnt so labor would be $425. I really find it hard to believe that I should be responsible for the labor on a product that was sold to me with a defective product. But we needed a fridge so we got the parts and had the repairman to come. Now the repairman spent 3 hrs only to find out the part that was sent was defective as well and did not work. So now my family has been without a fridge for 3-4 weeks. We called to complain to LG that first off we dont think we should be responsible for the labor costs if it was due to a defective product they knowingly put into the fridge. After some lengthy conversations with LG they have now since claimed that they will not pay anything due to this product being an open item product. They are still not standing up and admitting they put a defective part into a product and sold it. We know there is a list of serial numbers with this issue. If I had bought a car with a defective part a recall would be issued to repair this. But LG is trying to keep this on the down low and not pay up. It doesnt stop there. They have told our repairman that we said he was unprofessional and that he did not do a good job so now they are making false claims against our repairman that we never said. Plus during my first conversation with them they mentioned that you would be completely covered and you will have no cost out of your pocket for the repair only to go back on that statement and only offer my repair man a voucher for $115 of the $425 service. While I waited on the phone for the confirmation that this was all worked out I repeatedly asked will I be completely covered and nothing will come out of my pocket to which I was told over and over again that it will be covered. Only to find out the lied again to me and that they were only offering the lower rate. Now after we complained more now they are completely dropping all help and deeming this was due to the open item purchase and they dont cover the warranty on open items. I spoke to Best Buy and they restated that is not the case. Open items they sell are covered under warranty without question. Please what can you do to help. This has been very frustrating that I am without a fridge and now I am having to pay another $400 after buying a fridge less than 5 years ago for 1800. This is not the service I expected from a billion dollar company.

This fancy 3 door fridge refrigerators bought at Lowes in New Orleans on June 6, 2013 has been a nightmare since I bought it. A week in my home and the ice maker stopped making ice. Repairman replaced the ice maker. Ice tends to stick together. Recent problem is the LOUD clicking noise when the ice maker is turned on off. Customer Service somewhere overseas said this noise is normal because of wear and tear. I explained to the man that using the thing 8 times in one year is NOT wear and tear. He said it is. I put the phone next to the ice maker for him to hear the clicking noise. My son who bought the same fridge on the same date last year does not have this problem. Very kindly he said they are going to send the repair man but I have to pay for it. Unnecessary to tell you the long and stressful conversation with this man. Apparently I am wrong and LG is correct. I said to this man, after he said our conversation was being taped, that it was great news he was taping our conversation because I would on line and make sure the entire world LG knows about the lousy customer service, confirmed again by the guy at Home Depot when I went there on Monday to buy a new dishwasher. Obviously there are two brands of DW I dont buy: Bosch and LG.This man overseas said he would send the repair man and I insisted, make sure I dont have to pay for it because I am still under warranty. If this man tells me I have before the work begins, I would let him go and contact you again. LG can spend millions on Dollars in TV commercials, they fail to realize and accept that the best advertisement is by -word of mouth-. I am extremely unhappy with this fridge. The left side is cooler than the right side. No veggies can go on the left side as it freezes them. My suggestion: move over to another manufacturer.

Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem with an LG washer. Both the service tech and the LG customer support techs said theyve never heard of it. I just discovered a few days ago that the machine does not add any water during the rinse cycle!!! Who knows how long Ive been wearing clothes and using towels that havent been rinsed. The tech replaced both circuit boards but it still does not work. LG insists that because the tech said that it does add a small amount of water there is nothing wrong.I tried to explain that a cup of water at the very end of the rinse cycle, which does not ever agitate and immediately drains out is NOT how its supposed to work. The tech said he doesnt know how much water is supposed to flow into the machine for the rinse cycle, but as long as something goes in, it means its working fine. Seriously? Im done being angry... just going to throw it out, but Im wondering if anyone else has had the no rinse water problem and if you were able to get it fixed. Thanks.

Top loading washing machine LG wt1101c purchased at home depot - My concern is the excessive amount of water that it uses. I set the controls for bulky bedding for a test run. After many starts and stops in its cycle it finished its cycle. Then to my surprise it used 18 gallons of water in the wash cycle and an additional 18 gallons in the spin and rinse cycle. I have a 40 gallon hot water tank and it used it all… (I have a double wash tub that the used water is pumped into, dim 19-19-12= 4332 cu inches) 4332/231 = approx. 18 gallons per each side 18+18=36 gallons on a washing/rinsing cycle. There must be some cycles that use less water. The machine I understand, weighs the load and adds the correct amount of water. I have asked LG for a chart or list showing how much water per pound is used or for each setting. I received NO REPLY. There is nothing in the operational manual giving this information. Also there is a digital readout on the control panel that means nothing. For instance If it says 54 and it starts its countdown the washer will do a series of rotational jiggles and the countdown stops and does not keep track of the time correctly (it may say 54 but it takes 70 before it stops).The washer looks good, washes clean but the instruction manual needs to be rewritten to address these items and take into consideration this needed information. Thank everyone for permitting me to list my complaints and suggestions. If and when these suggestions are addressed I would like a revised instruction manual to be sent to me.

The biggest problem is that the LG service team have no idea of how to fix it and now after 6.5 months of 5 visits and over 12 hrs of phone calls, they have GIVEN UP asking me to buy another fridge. Here are the clear problems with LG tech - a) Tech is under skilled - Over the 5 visits, the technicians came up with different diagnosis. b) No follow ups - There were no follow-ups (I repeat no follow-up) from LG on the next steps after the tech shared the diagnosis info. c) No handover within their teams - Every time when I called their customer care, I spoke to a new person and I had to repeat the whole story again and was provided with new (and may times repeated) steps to follow. d) Tier 2 drops the ball - Very good on the phone, but once off the phone, no easy way to catch. e) Only escalations work - I took to the social media, only when I got their attention and someone senior started looking into the problem and whole history of correspondence.f) No outcome - But in spite of engagement from seniors, the problem remained unresolved and finally they gave up asking me to buy a new fridge.I lost 3 working days to attend the technician visit and over 12 hrs of office time on phone. Total $ equivalent of this time loss is over $5000. Highly recommend avoiding LG appliances.

We have been 3 weeks without a fridge, lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, and are CONSTANTLY having to call customer service to get something done. The local repair service they sent out could not fix, yet I received an email from LG stating that it was fixed, and to take a survey. We speak with someone daily, and now just want them to get this POS out of our house and refund our money. So, even though they have ALL my info from registering the product.... I had to send them receipt copies. And THEN I get a return email stating, Unfortunately, I am away from my email right now, but I will reply as quickly as I can. This was less than 5 minutes after we spoke with her. After reading reviews, I wish I never bought this fridge. It looks like we will have to contact the BBB, and perhaps a lawyer. Will also be contacting Home Depot (where we bought it). DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS! Unless you like getting the runaround.

The difference is that, in my case, I bought it from a friend that went with a stackable set of machines. And they were saying that LGs warranty is not transferable! They will only stand behind their products if you purchase them new and have the receipt! Pretty sneaky, if you ask me. The service rep actually said, Well, its in the fine print! I will never own anything made by LG again! What a rip off! I will make sure that everyone possibly know about their warranty being highly unfair! If everyone knows how bad it is, nobody in their right mind would buy this LG junk!

Of course they are all out of warranty now and during Christmas of 2021 pieces of enamel was being found in my food I was baking in the oven. Needless to say this has to be a manufacturers defect because nothing I have done would warrant chips of enamel falling off. I called they said, Nope its out of warranty. Even with the fact that we could have consumed some of the enamel they do NOT care. Even the man that I called about checking it out said LG was hard to work with. I am hoping to get this resolved soon being I can not use my oven for fear of consuming enamel. I was so proud at how all three units looked in my kitchen and people were impressed with the look of them. Shame on you LG for selling expensive crap!! And then refusing to take care of your customers.

We purchased the LG Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Model #LFX25960ST in May of 2007. 1st issue was the Product Consumer Energy Rating. The Energy Rating LG gave was less than the average energy the fridge used. I receive a check from LG (I think) every quarter to make up the difference in energy used (around $4.00). Next came the ice maker. The ice maker would freeze up and overflow with water or just stopped working all together. The ice dispenser in the door has never crushed Ice the way it should. We had 3 service calls on ice maker issues, 2 of which the ice maker had to be replaced. Still does not crust ice the way it should. I just gave up trying to get it fixed. Then I noticed that the hard wood floors in front of the fridge were starting to warp. Ceiling tiles in basement showed where water had leaked from kitchen above. We pulled down the tiles but were unable to find a leak. We pulled out the fridge and saw where water had wet the sheetrock and floor behind the fridge. Thinking there was a leak in the plumbing behind the fridge we ripped out the sheetrock, finding nothing. We then decided to leave the fridge pulled out to try and determine where the water was coming from. About 30 minutes later, I returned to the kitchen and noticed that water was spewed to the right side of the fridge and all across the dining area, approx. 15. We turned off the water going to the fridge and contacted LG. 2 days later a repairman came in an immediately noticed the warped flooring. He the checked the ice maker and the fridge and found nothing. He turned the water back on and asked me to dispense water from the water/ice dispenser. When I pushed the water dispenser, water, again, shot out all across the kitchen and dining room. The repairman was then able to show us where the line coming from the valve on the fridge to the filter had split. He stated the line was faulty and would have to be replaced. 2 weeks later the repairman returned and replaced the faulty line. LG did pay for fridge repairs and repairs to my floor but nothing for the downtime or aggravation we endured. Then we had issues with the interior light in the fridge. It would stay on even when the fridge was closed. Again we contacted LG for repair. Now after having this fridge for only 7 years, the entire cooling system, fridge and freezer, has gone out, resulting in ruined and sour food. We contacted LG again. My husband spoke with the lady from LG. At one point in the conversation, he told the lady, Im sorry, I know this isnt your fault, but Im very aggravated right now dealing again with this Lemon of a refrigerator. The LG Supervisor then told him I understand your aggravation, but you are just going to get even more aggravated when you hear what I have to say. I cannot help you because the refrigerator is out of warranty. WHAT??? Who says that??? Where is the customer service??? So now Im stuck paying an $85.00 service call plus replacement parts and labor to fix ANOTHER issue with this LG Refrigerator. I am so done with anything LG.

Los mandos de la parte delantera de la cocina pueden encenderse con sólo pasar por delante y golpearlos. He entrado en mi cocina en numerosas ocasiones y he olido a gas y he encontrado el mando girado lo suficiente como para dejar escapar el gas. Initially, the problem was the water dispenser. The dispensing button stuck and flooded the kitchen before I could get an LG representative on the phone. The ice maker would not function and was replaced after numerous service calls between September 2010 and January 2011. It has never functioned properly, always crushing most of the ice. This leads to a crushed ice dam that forms in the door. Eventually, one must clean out this mess. After being a slave to service calls in 2010, I decided to utilize my Home Depot extended warranty and attempt once more to have ice from this very expensive investment.A crack existed in the ice hopper and a very talented serviceman came to my home, analyzed the problem, and ordered a new ice hopper. The part arrived last week and since then, the same problem has existed. Now, I am unable to remove the ice hopper due to the ice dam in the door. This entire problem is due to the design. We keep the temperature in our home at just under seventy degrees year-round. When the left door is opened, the vents between the main refrigerator body and the door allow warmer air to enter the ice maker. The flap door that opens to allow ice to eject also allows warm air to enter due to the long length of the trap door opening, 5 seconds. This allows some melting of the ice that is trapped and crushed in the hopper to melt then re-freeze in the blades. Then the damming cycle begins once again.

We had a repair man from Famous Tate replace ice maker. Same thing happened. He said the whole door had to be replaced. He ordered the door in early May. It is now August 26 and still no word from them. We also contacted LG and they promised to have someone get back to us in a few days. That was 10 days ago. We plan to go to Famous Tate today and try to get something done about this issue.

In a bargain hunting, I purchased a double door digital control LG 420 ltr refrigerator and it was buying a huge pain and trouble for me and my family. With almost Rs. 51,000/- paid through my nose the refrigerator is a horrible experience from the month I purchased. The computer chip got burnt out in 13th month and replaced at my cost of Rs. 4300/-, the compressor had to be replaced in 14th month. Compressor again replaced in 17th month. Even after 2 repairs at my cost the compressor makes heavy noise and the customer support has not been able to set it right even after making payments for service. The quality of the refrigerator is completely below par and in an attempt to cut cost the LG has severely compromised on quality. The customer support is horribly bad and an opaque management. You dare it and make any attempt and you do not get a caring attention. Just rhetoric and evading answers. I have lost thousands of rupees worth goods due to the machine abruptly stopping in the middle of the hot summer. I now seriously repent having purchased this refrigerator to save some Rs. 2000/- against its competitor and today hove lost more than Rs.10,000/- in repair and maintenance in just less than 2 years. Add to this the constant tension of the machine going off when we are out on a holiday, it have never been peace of mind ever since we purchased this refrigerator. From the beginning, several parts (plastic door holders) starting falling off and breaking. We have had repair people out multiple times in the past few years (including again today). The refrigerator often freezes items and the freezer does not freeze (yes this is somewhat ironic). The freezer door is currently broken and ice maker is hanging down. Also, LG customer has been very difficult to work with, one of the most difficult appliance and customer service experiences I have ever had. If given another opportunity, we would not buy another LG fridge. I hope this is helpful and saves future buyers the challenging experience we have had with this fridge.

After sending tons of pictures, many calls, they refused to pay since I no longer had the original machine (go figure??? Their LG repair person said to return it). Often have to rewash clothes, not enough water, loud, major wrinkles, etc. Then a recall for the machine comes and schedule appointment with LG for repair person to handle recall. They come out, update software to the machine??? and then tell me not to wash anything in the machine that sheds water (waterproof? like mattress covers, etc.). Hmmm. Then he tells me my dryer doesnt dry because there are sensors in the dryer that get coated with dryer sheet film and it confuses the dryer. Oh and the replaced machine ripped another shirt, even though you have to button shirts, pants, and turn inside out!!!! LG washers/dryers dont wash and dry like regular washers and dryers we have all been used to in the past. The new save water costs more water and electricity by having to rewash and dry so many times. LG COULDNT CARE LESS EITHER AFTER YOU HAVE BOUGHT IT! We will never buy LG again and if you can hang onto your regular washer, do so. Its better for the environment and your state of mind.

I have replaced gaskets around the doors twice. However, my MAJOR complaint is the tubing that runs to the ice maker. I have had repairs/tubing replacement no less than 6 times in five years. Almost every six months the tubing (5/16 tubing - which is virtually impossible to find) springs a pinpoint leak and water is all over my kitchen floor. Every time I have a repairman, it costs me at least another $100. My latest was again this morning!! This refrigerator is not worth the dynamite I would use to blow it up!

Tengo un suelo de madera en la cocina y la madera se alabeó y se levantó debajo y delante del frigorífico. Sears vino a reparar y el técnico provocó un cortocircuito en la placa electrónica y todo el frigorífico se apagó. Tuvimos que esperar a que nos pidieran la pieza. Así que nos quedamos sin frigorífico durante días y con el suelo de madera destrozado. En resumen, se instaló la pieza correcta y el frigorífico volvió a funcionar, pero llevó semanas y mucha documentación y correspondencia entre mi persona, Sears y la sede central de LG para determinar quién era el culpable y quién sería responsable de sustituir el suelo. Fue un tiempo muy frustrante y enloquecedor. Otra cosa sobre el frigorífico LG, hace unos meses me di cuenta de que la pintura de las asas se está desconchando y ablandando. This has corroded the surface under the control panel & dispenser. I wrote to LG twice, knowing it was no longer under warranty, asking what I could do to repair this or what seemed to be causing this. The response from LG is below:As much as I want to help you regarding this issue, I wont be able to. Manufacturers warranty is designed to take good care of any failures in the early life of the unit. Aside from the one year warranty, there are also parts thats covered for 7-10 years like the Sealed System. After this will be expired, you would be responsible for any repair or replacement part for the unit that is not cover under warranty. If the unit was purchased 2012, this is already out of warranty. I apologize however we will not be able to cover the issue on the control panel. I wish I had a more favorable answer. But we thank you for letting us know your concern.

So my husband buys me this (visually) great-looking LG French door fridge, Christmas last year. 28.8 cubic feet, white and sassy. Pattys in love! Supposedly $3000 but on sale for $1800 at Brandsmart. Still a pretty penny, and I added a 5-year warranty.Last month I was clearing dishes and walked into my kitchen and wiped out in a puddle of water, everything flew everywhere, I landed on my knee... awesome bruise! Lucky I didnt break my neck or cut myself on the wine glasses I was carrying that went crashing to the floor. Angry much? How do I summarize this quickly? Cant! It took two weeks, scads of phone calls (of course ALL calls are taken by someone in Asia and the voice recognition software doesnt recognize the word refrigerator more than half the time and there are no options to actually press a number button)... I lost most of my food, lived out of a cooler, constantly buying ice... when the local fridge repairman came he was GREAT but said it needed a new computer panel. Fine. 3 days later, computer panel installed, fridge working again. More phone calls, claim filed, fought for $150 food reimbursement.STORY OVER? NO! Its happened AGAIN! Puddles on the floor, melted frozen goods... and I am... well, Ill just be nice and say upset! Of course LG is SO SORRY, MAAM... we can get someone over there in 3 days! I must confess to yelling NO WAY! and today (its Monday 10/22 & the fridge started plotzing on Saturday) my friendly repairman came a day early because I WHINED on the phone this morning to them.NOW I NEED A COMPRESSOR! Back to cleaning out freezer and fridge, living out of a cooler and trips to get ice. Should have one in 2-3 days. Somehow this doesnt ease my mind. Ive declared to LG Im telling everyone I know to never buy LG appliances! They dont seem to care... probably because theyre safely 5000 miles away from me! ;o) Enough said? Thank God I bought the warranty because nothing out of pocket yet. I might go ballistic if I have to pay anything for my 10 month old fridge. Looks arent everything! They sent over a repair man which told me that the part would probably take two weeks and if longer LG would replace the fridge or pro-rate it. LG has had problems with this model of fridge and never sent us a recall letter during my 5 years of warranty. Now because it is 7 years they want to pro-rate it and take back the old fridge. They also told me that the part was no longer available. This is really unacceptable as a new fridge would cost $2000.00 plus tax, I paid $2000.00 plus tax plus 5 year warranty and they would give me $675.00. If you calculate it would have cost me $4000.00 over 7 years. It is quite unacceptable and I do not believe that I will be buying another LG in the near future.

The compressor is under a 10 year warranty but only for the $160 part. LG is still charging me $400 for labor. Its their flat fee for warranty work, regardless of how long it takes. They overcharge for the labor to cover the cost of all the parts they have to replace.This fridge has cost me ~$1,000 is service and lost food and its only 3 years old. Spoke with supervisor Donald and he was rude, interrupted me constantly, and flatly refused to provide any customer to lower the labor charge since Ive had so many problems with this fridge. He told me to call other techs and see what they would charge--I have. No one else will work on LG fridge compressors because they fail too often. Im filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and sending a letter to the corporate office. I encourage everyone here who is a victim of LG to do the same. In fact its the complete opposite. The morning service rep would not even send me over to a manager but insisted on telling me that small purchases dont matter to them. I found (online) many stories from people with front-loading HE washers who had nasty-smelling laundry. I called LG last month and the customer service people gave me a series of chores to do and said if I performed them weekly, the smell would disappear. Well, I performed them five times weekly and the laundry still smelled like week-old workout clothes stuffed in a gym locker. So yesterday, they finally sent a real, live repairman. The repair guy took one look and said it was clean and nothing was wrong that he could fix except by telling me to use a powdered laundry detergent called Charlies Soap. He insisted that all the usual detergents are made with animal fats or byproducts or something, but Charlies Soap is made with coconut oils or something vegetable-based, and that it is the animal fats that build up in the clothes in these HE washers and make the clothes smell like a week-old gym bag. He said it would take 2 or 3 washings with Charlies Soap to eliminate all the smell in the clothes. I thought he was nuts, but I tried it. It actually worked. Now I want to know why LG doesnt tell anyone what the problem is! I was aggravated & upset with stinking laundry for six months! Do they have a financial connection to laundry detergent sales but not to Charlies Soap?

I now have to take more effort and money every month to maintain my machine, then it actually took to do my laundry with my old machine.If doing my laundry with an LG washer is going to take this much effort... I might as well drag my laundry down to the creek and scrub it on some rocks. That would actually be quicker and more cost effective and, work better!!! I have called customer service (a bunch of foreign speaking people) numerous times. This last time was the last straw. They do not care for your opinion. They speak to you as though you are the problem. When I explained to the guy that the entire area around my bleach cup has completely rusted - guess what - thats right - it is my fault, and no one else on the planet has had this problem. I called knowing that my warranty is long gone but I told him I just wanted to give them feedback from a consumer about how I felt about their product. But, as you already know he doesnt care. He kept telling me to wash out my machine, and that I dont understand how to maintain my machine. I guess judging from the 100s of 1- star reviews, and similar complaints no one else on Earth knows how to do that either.So here is the bottom line. I own a business cleaning resort units. I have dealt with every machine known to man. I have only ever seen one other machine as junkie as this. I will NEVER buy another LG washer. I will go back to old school, agitator... where my clothes are actually coming out clean, and I never, ever, ever had to wash my machine to keep my laundry coming out the way it is suppose to. PS - you will want to avoid the Whirlpool/Maytag (both the same company now) top loaders as well. They are just as big of a nightmare!!

This year, yesterday, our 7 year old LG washing machine broke down - in each case it was the motor - you could hear the defective motor. The motors are specifically labeled on the machines as being guaranteed for 10 years. We went out and bought a Samsung washing machine and dryer the same day as the breakdown, expecting the LG dryer at 7 years was not reliable either. Oh yes. There are only the two of us - retired man and wife - living in the house so the machines are not used that much. If we were a family with small kids, the washing machine doubtless would have broken down much sooner. I wonder if the executives running the LG operation are reading these consumer posts? They should. Word gets around.

It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

Los instaladores me dijeron que no podían instalarla completamente porque está conectada eléctricamente y se supone que no pueden tratar con cables sin algún otro accesorio. ¿Por qué no se me informó de eso de antemano o de los instaladores anteriores? De todos modos, esta segunda unidad tampoco secó mis platos. Llamé al servicio técnico y me dijeron que usara Rinse Aid. No me pareció que tuviera que comprar no sólo detergente para lavavajillas sino también abrillantador. Así que inicialmente me negué a añadir un abrillantador a mi costosa compra de lavavajillas que no funcionaba. Un técnico de reparación fue enviado desde National Platinum Service en Columbus Georgia. Ese técnico llegó 13 minutos antes, tocó mi timbre y se fue 12 minutos antes de la hora de mi ventana de servicio. Enviaron a otro técnico al día siguiente que también me dijo que debía añadir Rinse Aid. Después de hacer muy poco para revisar la unidad me pidió que firmara y se fue. Updated 08/15/2019: I posted my original review of my LG refrigerator, but wanted to correct the model number. It is a Model LMXS30746S/00 instead of Model LMXS30776S. My wife ordered the latter originally, but it was on backorder (From LG, no surprise, right!). After waiting over a month for it to arrive, my wife decided to go with the LMXS30746S/00 instead. We received this refrigerator January 9, 2015. -As of August 15, 2019, I still have a non-working refrigerator, with a defective linear compressor. My original review of my refrigerator was on July 2, 2019. LG responded in writing, and other than a few phone conversations, of the which most were initiated by me, that is pretty much all this company has done to date. -On July 10, 2019, LG informed me that a technician was scheduled to look at my unit July 18, 2019. No technician, no courtesy call, no surprise. At the end of the day (still July 18th), I notified LG, and on July 30, 2019, they informed me that they were considering an alternate resolution. At that point, LG requested proof of purchase, which was provided a few days afterwards. LG responded August 5, 2019, and said my case was escalated to their Return Authorizations Department and informed me that instead of awaiting repair, they were going to go the alternate resolution route. LG informed me that someone should contact me from the Return Authorization Department within 4 business days. -On August 8, 2019, I received a call from a family member to inform me that a representative from A&E, LGs repair group, had contacted her about the refrigerator. I placed a call to A&E to no avail. I then called the Return Authorization Department. I was informed that they were still awaiting approval for the alternate resolution. She had no idea why anyone from A&E was trying to reach me. -Later on August 8, 2019, I received a call from LG informing me that a technician was scheduled to come look at my refrigerator on August 9, 2019. I was told this was a necessary step in the alternate resolution process. -August 9th came and went, and once again, no technician showed, no technician called. We did get a text of from A&E this same evening stating our appointment was rescheduled for August 19, 2019. No apology or explanation for the missed appointment though.-On Monday, August 12, 2019, I called LGs Return Authorization Department. I informed the representative about the missed appointment. She informed me that my case was still awaiting approval. The person responsible for making such decisions was away from the office, so she left a note and said she would get back with me to provide an update. As of 3:00 PM, I am in a holding pattern awaiting that call. Most likely, I will end up calling LG back. Original review 07/02/2019: I purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in 2014. In 2017, it stopped cooling, due to a noisy/failed Linear Compressor. Trying to hold LG up to their 10 Year Sealed System Warranty, which includes the compressor was/is a joke. I dont recall ever wasting as much time and getting the runaround on any product I ever purchased. I was first told that LG was going to take care of my issue, including labor, at no charge. I was given the name and phone number of the company that was to perform the work. After going a few weeks with no contact from this company, I called them. It was listed as a computer repair business, and all I ever got was an answering machine. I contacted LG again several times, expressing my dissatisfaction with the whole issue and the delay in having my issue resolved. Someone finally sent me a list of 5 repair companies and told me to reach out and choose one to repair the fridge. Well, I called 3 of the numbers, reached a voice mail for one, and spoke to representatives at two of the others. In both cases, the persons I spoke to said that they were not trained or authorized to work on LG Sealed Systems. At this point, I was really ticked off. How can a company that on the outside appear so great, be so badly run. Not only did I have a product that was worthless in its present state, but in the process of getting it repaired, find that this company doesnt even know who is authorized to make necessary repairs. I contacted the Marylands Attorney Generals Office to see if they could help me. They sent a few letters to LG, and LG responded, saying that they offered to supply a replacement compressor (which were drastically back-ordered due to their high failure rate), but that I did not accept their offer. LG said nothing about covering the labor for replacing said compressor as they said they would do at the beginning of my ordeal. Marylands Attorney Generals Office said my only recourse would be small claims court. Well, I thought I was ticked off before, but I discovered that I had another gear. I contacted LG once again, and expressed my frustration. I was finally connected to the group that handles technical issues. When I told the person where the refrigerator was, he told me LG did not have anyone nearby whom could fix it. I asked, how can LG put a warranty on something, knowing full well they did not have personnel who could make necessary repairs. The person told me that LG had personnel available to make warranty repairs on items, including appliances, just not in cases like mine.The LG refrigerator is in my garage, taking up space, at least until I build up enough energy to figure out what I am going to do with it. Through this whole ordeal, I have developed a disdain for The LG brand. I am not sure if this compressor issue, which has affected thousands of LG refrigerators, is being mishandled at the direction of upper management at the risk of cutting into profits, or if employees interfacing with customers like myself, are not following LGs we care for our customers slogan. LG - Life is Good, when you can treat people so bad and still rake in profits.

Esta noche estaba haciendo la cena y el horno se encendió como siempre y dijo que estaba precalentado. Empecé a cocinar y abrí el horno para comprobar la comida. Y he aquí que el horno apenas está caliente. Compruebo la temperatura del horno y es de 205 aunque la temperatura dice 400. Parece otro problema que me va a costar cientos de dólares para reparar. Sólo he tenido este paquete de electrodomésticos durante 5 años. Es tan decepcionante tener un problema con todo lo que he comprado de LG. Me he asegurado de decir a todos mis amigos y familiares que eviten LG por todos los problemas que he tenido. El único electrodoméstico que tengo en mi cocina que no ha tenido ningún problema es mi lavavajillas, pero es un Bosch. Me alegro de no haber comprado uno de LG. Deja un gran hueco en la esquina exterior de la estufa y me topé con el mango de la sartén y la sartén y todo su contenido de grasa de tocino caliente salió volando por toda mi cocina. Pensé que estaba siendo más cuidadoso cuando golpeé el mango de una olla de guiso caliente y salió volando por toda la cocina. This fridge hasnt worked from day one. I have been on with about 20 reps from LG and have gotten nowhere until I threatened to take them to court and call my local channel 7 news. And believe me, I will. These people just want to fix the broken part and blame you for all the fridges problems. I am done. I will continue to fight until I have a brand new fridge or my money back! I am having the same problem everyone else is having with their refrigerator. It broke down nearly three weeks ago. I do have a warranty which pays for parts but not repair, however all my food was bad and needed to be thrown away. Had a service man, who was very nice and helpful, who stayed for hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Finally after coming back many times he realized it might be the compressor. Had to order it thru LG which came 5 days later. Now realize I have no refrigerator at this time that works. Couldnt they send it over night delivery? Okay, now service man puts the new compressor in and the next day it worked!! Started getting ice, went to the store to buy food and spent $200. Very happy until today one day later, I wanted to defrost my London broil, which happened to be defrosted already because my refrigerator was broken again. I knew something was up when I had a smell in my kitchen. If there will be a suit against LG I would love to be a part of it. This refrigerator was a lot of money and Im sure everyone else feels this way too! I will never buy an LG product again!!!

OTRA VEZ, ¡no nos devolvieron la llamada! ¡Imagínate! Estamos más que frustrados. Tras investigar sobre la empresa, se sabe que sus frigoríficos tienen problemas.

Whatever is on the top stays there - just shifts from side to side unlike the video. I’ve watched it. It defeats the purpose of HE to use the water plus feature - it’s the only way clothes have a chance to get fully wet. I had a front loader previously for 10 years and wanted to give this a chance. It’s awful and an agitator machine is better than this. Extremely disappointed in LG. Never again.

We purchased a French door refrigerator and electric range 4 years ago and we have had nothing but problems. The refrigerator light malfunctioned while still under warranty and could have burnt our house down. Luckily, we were in town and I caught it just as the light cover had melted and warmed up everything in our fridge. The cabinet above the fridge was so hot, we could have cooked eggs in it. The ice maker has always had issues, and the fridge has intermittently frozen our vegetables at will. The manufacturer did replace the light fixture as this was a well-documented problem and I found hundreds of others online with the same melting problem including a few that actually did encounter a fire. The electric oven we purchased has had issues almost from the time the 1-year warranty was up. At times, weve had one or two burners that wouldnt work, and most recently, the start button on the oven doesnt work. We had this repaired a month ago, only to have the same problem the day before Christmas. In calling the repairman back, it will cost us another $400 after the $80 last month to repair this relatively new oven. We arent willing to dump another $400 into this piece of junk, as we have no confidence that it wont go out again soon. What ever happened to quality? LG stinks, and I tell everyone I know not to buy from them!

The repairman messed with the seal on one visit, then replaced the seal on another visit and finally replaced the freezer door on the third visit. Problem with that was then resolved. Was gone for three months and back home for summer and the freezer quit working on July 4 - water all over the hard wood floors and freezer food thawed--they came out and did repairs on a fan. A week later the same thing happened - came out - needs new compressor. Came out with the right part no. on the box, but when he went to install it, wrong compressor - could not even restart the fridge section - so without fridge too. Yesterday they installed the correct compressor and freezer wont go below 29 degrees. American has been very good to do repairs and are trying to help us. We also bought the extended warranties, but that company has been somewhat difficult to work with. It is like no one knows who should do what. Very unhappy with this product. Now I have seen many others experiencing the same issues. Should the consumer have to suffer inconveniences and perhaps even damage to their home PLUS pay for the product and warranties especially when LG surely knows they have problems? I feel badly for the repairmen, but am wondering why companies continue to sell these products when obviously there are significant issues. What are we to do?

Two of them were out of state. I called the first number and they said they would charge me $600 just to come look at it, and then they would have to order parts. In the mean time all of my food was spoiling. Neither of the other two numbers answered their phones. Obviously no one was available to even look at the refrigerator. La rejilla superior también está extrañamente diseñada y de nuevo tiene muy poca capacidad para manejar muchos platos o vasos. Cuando el estante inferior tiene platos en él y lo abro, el peso de la puerta hace que toda la máquina empiece a caerse de la pared. Probablemente he tenido diez lavavajillas y puedo decir honestamente que ni siquiera puedo calificar este como funcionando. La verdad es que lo voy a cambiar y lo voy a tirar si no consigo que Home Depot me lo devuelva... Es menos de un mes de edad, pero simplemente no puedo soportarlo. Pagaré dos veces por la instalación, pero valdrá la pena porque de lo contrario tendré que lavar todo a mano. También compré una nevera y un microondas LG... no tienen nada de especial, pero supongo que debería estar agradecido de que funcionen.

After four service calls, three replaced parts, both LG technical support and their authorized service technicians do not have a cause of this problem. The washer is clearly defective and LG refuses to respond to my request for a return to Lowes. Please be aware LG customer service has no authority to make a decision on replacement and have demonstrated a willingness to allow a customer to put-up with a product that doesnt clean clothes for eight months. No end in sight. This washer is the first major appliance that could not be fixed and the first company Ive dealt with who is unwilling to do the right thing and replace the unit. Sadly, this was my first and will be the last purchase of any LG product. I thought they were a honorable company. There are plenty of other choices out there. If customer service is important to you, stay away from LG washers.

We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out with small holes in them. At first I thought it might be due to the clothing. But it has gotten worse. Now items like new jeans, t-shirts and pants are experiencing holes. So I felt all around the drum and didnt see any sharp items that would snag the clothes. But then I looked at the drum design. The drum is supported by three brackets. Each of these brackets have small drain holes about 1/8 high and 3/4 long on each side. Two of these brackets are located not near the dimpled holes in the drum. But the third bracket is located about 1/4 from the dimples. In looking at the cutouts in the brackets, I noted that they had sharp edges. I wet a heavy cloth and pushed it in between the dimples and the slot, simulating centrifugal force of a rotating drum. At times the cloth was snagged by the bracket. Therefore, I believe that there is a design deficiency. I checked the newer models at Sears and the slot on the brackets have been relocated away from the drum dimples. Please advise how do I get LG to correct this situation and compensate for lost clothes.

I registered a complaint at customer care (complaint number **) on 20-02-2012. As per the call center executive, somebody will call me within 24 hours and attend the problem within 72 hours. None of these happened even after 100 (one hundred) hours. I called customer care on 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Every time they said they will send a reminder. They gave me the contact number of service center in Alwaye and customer care officer. After trying for more than one hour (20-30 calls) both these numbers are not reachable/not answering.

This is very bad for your plumbing and will cause damage. Ive installed a water hammer arrestor, but wasnt any better. Very bad vibrations and unacceptable noise during wash/rinse cycles - unit actually moves across the floor! And needs continuous cleaning of soap and softener dispensers - clothes smell badly if you dont. Dryer does not perform well either - takes 2 hours to dry a load! I would never recommend LG to anyone - spent over $1,800 for the washer/dryer pair with pedestals, and have replaced them in less than 3 years with conventional pair!!!
