Purchased a LG model LSXS26366 at Home Depot. Delivery came 3 days later with a damaged door handle. Depot guy came to my house to replace the handle. Next day we loaded up the new refrigerator with loads of new food. Went to freezer and found all the frozen stuff soft. Door control center has an error code. Open owners manual and follow the written directions only to find out that phone number is no longer a working number. Called LG customer service. Someone can call me back the next day and no they will not replace the rotted food. No service is available tonight. They will have someone call to make a repair appointment. Called Home Depot to have them retrieve this refrigerator and issue credit. Do not purchase LG appliances. This was just a horrible mistake. Won€t happen again.

LG freezers are UNSAFE and do not work. I know others are having the same issue that we are; the freezer and refrigerator randomly stop working and the food has to be thrown out. And then you€re stuck in a customer service loop that never goes anywhere. LG is obviously aware of the issue and refuses to do anything for their customers. Does anyone know how to get a class action lawsuit going?

Great price for all the features I was looking for. Met all needs I was looking for. I was looking for black stainless steel and LG had the best look. I like the black stainless steel, the display and how I can change the shelves inside, the pull out freezer and side by side doors. Ive always liked the look of the aide by side doors. However, Id like more space in pullout freezer, not freeze things in the fridge as easily. If the freezer was bigger I wouldnt need a separate freezer. I wish it were also easier to change the temperature of the fridge and freezer. Overall I would definitely buy again.

I purchased an LG gas range from Best Buy approximately 18 months ago. I have recently discovered the knobs have been well-documented as dangerous and we have had to replace all on our own. This complaint is regarding sparking on burners out of the blue! Sunday evening, my husband and I heard a clicking noise and when I entered the kitchen, the stove burners where sparking! The only way it would stop was to pull the stove out from the wall. Still sparking, it was unplugged and we turned off the gas. LG came out today and has no idea what caused this and doesnt know what to do about it. I was told to call them if it happens again. Thats if we are home and, God forbid, not asleep. This is so dangerous!

No lava bien.

I purchased a refrigerator 6 years ago, but in the last 3 years we have had the compressor go out and LG tech has had to replace it. Since June 2021 Ive had 4 tech come out and my unit still does not cool to the temperature its suppose to be. Ive only had 2 good customer service experience. I have noted the agent and time that Iven call. No one has no clue what they are doing or review any notes that I requested to be added to my account. Ive asked 4 times to speak to a Supervisor and Im still waiting for a call. After 3 months, they determined I could get a refund for a % of the cost (which Im fine with) or repair it again and going forward my warranty would be up and the repairs would be my responsibility. Meanwhile all the techs said this is going to go out again because they had issues with this model.I accepted the refund - Im still waiting for that too. All the advertisements and sites are all false - LG does not stand by their products and definitely does not care how the consumer. I just want a refrigerator that works. After all I did not get it free. I paid almost $4,000.00 for it. As far as a call center they need to hire new people, their customer service skills are extremely unacceptable. That includes supervisors and managers.

The compressor on my 3 year old fridge stopped working early August. I called warranty and the found a service provider after 5 business days. 10 days later I call the service group for a time frame and they tell me LG cancelled the repair over a week ago because it is to expensive to fix and LG said they would inform me... I heard nothing from LG. I called LG, they said they would escalate the issue and I would hear back within 5 bus days. No call again (which is actually 9 days later due to a holiday weekend) and they say they will escalate the issue and I will hear back in 5 days. My fridge be has been broken a month and I do not have any service provider assigned, and no communication as to whats going on.

We had a terrible experience with LG Refrigerators. A couple of years ago, we bought an LG fridge. At the time, we liked the style. Then it went out when it was only two years old and wouldnt cool the food. The issue was the compressor, which had a 10-year warranty on it. They put a new one in, but the new one wouldnt work. It took a long time for them to get back in touch with me. They told us that they would send someone over to the property and they would try and fix the fridge, three different times. After the third time, they said they wanted the tech to try some other things and made the tech come back at least two more times. All of it was dragged out. Each time, it took a whole week before they even got over to the property. We had tenants in the property and it took LG a month and a half to finally tell us they couldnt fix it. They gave us a new fridge but by that time, the renters had moved out because they had no fridge. It was a disaster. Plus, they wouldnt give us money for the tenants food loss. They said I either get a fridge or get the loss of food. They wont do both.

I chose an LG refrigerator because they have a really good reputation and it was recommended by my family and friends and the brand has been around for years. I like how high tech the refrigerator is and the control panels are great as well. They are really stylish as well. I really like these fridges a lot. Plus a lot of my family members have them. I think the fridges are fine how they are however if we could work on the pricing a little bit that would be good. I dont like the fact that you have to pay so much for them though they could lower the pricing a little for sure. Just give us some discounts and coupons and everything would be great.

The worst waste of money and there is nothing I can do about it now. Bought it a year ago because it fit in a small area of my kitchen. Reads, Hold 3 seconds for extra functions but nothing happens. We bought this LG Inverter Linear fridge due to large size and do love that we can fit a lot of stuff in the fridge - however this fridge is less than two years old and not working. We called customer service on Wednesday. They have not yet called to set the appointment even after our follow up call on Friday - so here we are 5 days into a non working fridge or freezer and no repair appointment scheduled by LG - remember a $4000 plus fridge that€s less than 2 years old plus loss of the food that we have to throw out.

We purchased an LG front load washer (LG WM2688HNM) and dryer in June 2007 from Best Buy. We had constant problems with the washer leaking. We had technicians out almost monthly to try and find the source of the leak without any success. After about five months of complaining to LG€s customer service, they did have Best Buy give us a replacement in June of 2008. Unfortunately, the new machine did the same thing, but not quite as often and more like every two or three months. Again, the technicians cannot find where the leak is occurring from. It does not seem to make any difference how much detergent or bleach one uses. About two years ago the machine started dancing across the floor and vibrating items off the shelves in the laundry room. The technician put pads under the washer that are supposed to keep it in place and reduce the vibrations, but to no avail. It just keeps moving from one side of the laundry room to the other side, so we have to put it back in place until the next load.Oh, by the way, the dryer does not work much better than the washer. It goes through the dry cycle (and it doesn€t seem to matter which one) and the clothes are still damp if not wet. It doesn€t seem to matter if one uses the wrinkle guard or not. One technician suggested that with LG, one needed to use normal if you were doing permanent press, clothes, etc., but they still don€t get fully dried. Based on our experience, I would have to say do not buy LG products. As it stands at this point, I don€t think I would take an LG product if they were to give it to me.

We purchased our LG refrigerator 3 years ago and have had two problems with it. A year ago, the valve controlling the drinking water ceased working and it cost us over $200 for the repair from Freds Appliance in Madison, Ohio. A month ago, we noticed a mushroom type growth near the base of the refrigerator and discovered that the water line feeding the drinking water and icemaker had a slit in it and was spraying water on the floor. The flooring is ruined and the repairs, not including the fridge, exceed $1,300. Freds denies any responsibility with the problem even though they are the only ones that have moved the fridge since it was initially installed. In conclusion, the purchase of your product was a terrible mistake and we have difficulty understanding how a company can ignore problems like this.

I purchased this door-in-door refrigerator October 2017, for my new home, at Home Depot. The store was my salvation in trying to get service for this unit as the right french door was 1 higher than the left, and the cooling fan made a high pitch whining noise whenever it kicked on. Sounds easy right? NOT! LG Service Center is a call center of sorts with questionnaires they read from, despite being told of the exact issue. 15 min later still nowhere. Called HD and they got the same result. After several different LG phone #s, Sue in Appliances at Cicero HD, succeeded in reaching the LG local service center and entered a claim for me. They were to call back with appt. I ended up calling them the next day, found out they are a computer repair center, and contacted HD to return this very expensive refrigerator. Thank you HD for all that you do and I will purchase anything but LG for the replacement.

Purchased a LG front load washing machine that has been leaking water for the past 4 months. Machine is still under warranty: 3 different service technicians visited home over 5 times and have been unable to repair the machine. The technicians initially claimed we were using too much detergent, till the last technician found a crack in the discharge hose and replaced it. Unfortunately, that wasnt the only problem as the machine is still leaking, but now worse than before. And now the leak is so bad, it resulted in water damage to our new construction home. Not only that, but the once quiet machine now sounds worse than before and the technician scratched up our unit.I informed LG again but still no result. From the very beginning, I pleaded with them to send a different service company to our home, but LG refused. I talked to customer service reps and even folks in their executive services department to no avail. After the first few visits, I began to ask for LG to replace the unit, again LG refused. After the leak caused water damage, I asked again for LG to replace the unit, but again LG refused. The machine is still under warranty, the service technicians have been unable to repair the unit, but LG still refuses to replace it even though the terms of the warranty indicate that replacement is an option.

Updated on 08/30/2019: The leaked water ruined the chill drawer electrics. it is not covered under warranty anymore. I did talk to LG and they agreed to send me a new face for the drawer. Then the tech tells they charge $300 to install it. With LG the hits just keep on coming. Since the tech left yesterday the fridge is at 45 degrees and the freezer is at 20 degrees F. Maybe it will get better later? Consumers deserve better than this.Original review: Bought this refrigerator June 14 2016. The compressor and other parts have been replaced twice. The last time was August 15 2019. Here it is August 19 2019 and it is 40 degrees in the freezer and 60 degrees in the fridge. Again we are waiting on the repairman. Have lost around 200 dollars worth of food each time. It is clearly time for them to replace this lemon with a new fridge but they probably will not. Maybe the third time is a charm but I am not betting a new purchase of groceries it like I did last week. If you bought an LG fridge best of luck to you.

Volveré a publicar si no tenemos éxito.

We purchased an LG Bottom Drawer Freezer (Model #LFX21976ST/05) 2 1/2 years ago. Recently water was dripping from the door. The ice in the ice machine was melting, and the food in the freezer was half frozen! LG customer service was helpful trying to determine the problem, walking me through trouble shooting what the problem could be only to let me know I would be charged $210.00 for a service call. I looked online and found out this is a common complaint and that even after service the same thing occurs after some time... I am disgusted that LG isnt honoring their customers by doing the right thing and repairing these defective refrigerators free of charge. VERY sad considering we love other LG products.

We had a kitchen remodel in November 2009, we purchased all LG appliances. My LG convection oven has been serviced 3 times for the same exact problem. Error: F-9, the thermostat will not heat the oven. Obviously there is a problem with the oven and it should be replaced. I also have an LG dishwasher, which was serviced because the motor went out the first year.

We had bought an LG television which was our first LG purchase. Then I was at Lowe€s one day and needed a new refrigerator. We ended up purchasing the LG French door refrigerator in a little over four years ago and I loved it. It was everything I expected until the compressor went out. It took four weeks to get it fixed which was a long time. There are two ice makers. One in the door and one in the bottom drawer. We noticed that it wasn€t making ice. At first, it was still cold, but over a couple of days it stopped keeping things frozen. A couple of days after that, nothing was cold in the refrigerator.I called the number that€s inside the refrigerator and they wanted to know the details of when I purchased it and did I have proof of purchase. I€m not sure how that worked between LG and the people that came out but they had to contact a rep and she said, €We don€t have a rep in your area.€ Someone else called me and scheduled. They said it would be a week. Then I called back and they said they had to reschedule because they didn€t have an LG repairman in Alabama. They were gonna have to get a certified LG repairman to come and fix it. They had me describe what the unit did. They were able to determine that it was probably the compressor and they sent the parts. About two weeks after we got the part, the LG repairman came from Georgia and fixed the refrigerator. I haven€t had any issues with it since the gentleman fixed it but I probably wouldn€t buy any LG refrigerator again.

I bought this Sears Kenmore Elite French door fridge in late 2007 (Model 795.755.46401). Within a couple years (but out of warranty), lots of little things started to go bad. As others have mentioned, the plastic latches at the top of the doors broke, and then the latches for the tilt out vegetable drawer fronts broke, and then the slides on the drawers broke, and the hardware that supports the bottom shelf broke - etc. The whole interior is made of parts too flimsy to last for the useful life of a refrigerator. Then the front door water dispenser stopped working, and just recently the whole front display went out and the main compartment lost temperature control and started freezing everything. Im a handy guy (and an electronics engineer), so I ordered and replaced the main board and then the display board, as they were the obvious failure points. That didnt fix the problem, so I dug in deeper. It turns out that the wires inside the front left door that go up through the hinge have broken. I could deal with that if the failure was at an accessible point (at the hinge one would expect), but I eventually figured out that the wires have broken somewhere inside the door. The wires are apparently molded into the door and cannot be replaced, so I have a $2,000+ refrigerator crippled by a bad 10-cent piece of wire and an astonishingly stupid design that makes that wire part of a $400 door assembly.Like I said, I am a handy guy, so I routed a very thin and not too ugly replacement wire on the exterior of the door to replace the broken wire inside the door, and for now the fridge is back in business. Ill join the many posters in this blog who will steer clear of all LG appliances in the future.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator 5 years ago Model LFX31925ST/00 Super Capacity, 3 door, French door with smart cooling technology. In 2013 we had issues where the freezer would stop cooling. My main board apparently went out... I am stuck without a refrigerator after spending more than 3,000 for it in 2013. Expected would last longer for the amount paid.

I will never ever buy another LG product of any kind. I purchased my washing machine almost five years ago and have been fighting with it ever since. At ok never point I discovered that the machine had actually been recalled. The machine was known to vibrate across the floor. The techs have been out numerous times but when Home Depot called they said they were only out twice, once a no power issue. They are so misinformed. I had the motherboard replaced and other issues. Now if I wash a quilt the machine stops and flashes. Then when I put it on Spin Only it shoots out water!! So I am left with soggy blankets. I am so furious and disappointed. They should have designated this a lemon four years ago. I think someone needs to instigate a class-action lawsuit against LG. Why are we putting up with this??? I plan to have my lawyer look into this. The techs are coming again on Friday. They will say the same nonsense. I will tell them it is time to sue.

Our four-year- old LG French door/bottom freezer is a piece of junk. The ice maker continues to shoot water after the cubes have been made which are freezing into large clumps. We now buy 10 bags at the store. Also, the glide for the freezer shelf broke and the shelf fell off. We have since had it replaced. The circuit board failed, also. All food was lost. The LG supervisor was adamant that they could not replace after we appealed. Her comment was why we didnt buy the extended warranty (Who would have thought the main control for this unit would fail.). It cost us over $500 to replace the board, not counting the food which was all spoiled. Of greatest concern is the lack of customer empathy by the LG people. There will never again be an LG product in our home.

It had a leaking Tromm front loader. This ruined my 180 sq. ft. of ash hardwood flooring costing approximately $2000.00. After the floor was replaced and a pan placed under the machine, I have noticed that it fills up about once a week. This leak is coming from the dispenser tray! I noticed water and soap residue on the inside of the front panel that had also caused the door hinge to start rusting. After closer inspection of the dispenser during operation, I can see water hitting the angled section of the tray and running over the side. LG said a repair tech would have to fix this, but without a newly designed part, it will just do the same thing again. This is not caused by too much soap as some might suggest because it does this with or without adding soap! The only solution I see is to buy another brand after spending over $1000.00 a year for a poorly designed product.

Purchased the LG model LFXS29626S 11/10/2015, and it appears the compressor went out on 7/3/2019. We did purchase an extended warranty through The Home Depot. Home Depot reports that LG prefers to handle their repairs. Since then the repair has been sent to A&E for repair and the repair is now scheduled for 7/22/2019. Three weeks to get the fridge looked at. Lost all food in the fridge and freezer. Seen online that these compressors are not holding up.

We bought a top load LG Direct Drive Inverter HE washing machine almost 18 months ago. The washing machine was supposed to be efficient on use of water and electricity. From the beginning we have not been able to complete ANY load without getting UE (uneven load) multiple times. The washer has been checked for level and balance and even with just an empty load it continues to get an UE code. Water usage has gone up as it never completes a load without going in UE mode multiple times. Electricity use has gone up. We cannot leave this washing machine and never expect for the load to complete. All settings have been tested and it makes no difference if a small or large load. WORST washing machine we have ever owned and will never buy an LG again. We were told when we purchased it from Home Depot it was a top of the line. It will be getting junked out this week and we will be purchasing another machine. Not LG and not from Home Depot. Apparently this is a known issue but there is no resolution and no compensation for those of us that have battled these machines over the last 12-24 months or longer.

Bought the LG front loading washer 4 years ago. Thought it would be better
Bought the LG front loading washer 4 years ago. Thought it would be better and more cost effective. I have been fighting a losing battle with the rubber gasket from the first year of use! I have followed all the guidelines; keep the door open after use and dry the folds in the gasket. I even leave a small wash clothin the gasket to soak up the water. I use the different products made for cleaning these washers (tide, etc.), but still the black mold and also the odor from the washer is really bad!!! It also takes 3xs as long to wash clothes, so I dont see the saving; maybe use less water, but using more electricity to wash! And, the spin cycle is really loud and the vibration is so bad, that it shakes everything from top of washer to the floor! Wonder if the gasket could be replaced? I will definitely, go back to buying a top loader, as this has been a huge disappointment! S/N 007KWGG06175 Model WM2050CW

Compré un microondas LG Over the oven hace unos dos años. No volveré a comprar otro producto LG.

After just having bought my first home, I really wanted to splurge and buy
After just having bought my first home, I really wanted to splurge and buy a nice big beautiful $3,400 stainless steel refrigerator as a center piece. But buying this expensive LG LMXS30776S was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. At just 2 years the thing is broken and will no longer cool. I came home one night to find that all of the ice in the ice maker had melted and puddled onto my hardwood flooring and all of my food was spoiled. Completely dismayed that my refrigerator is now cooling at 60F I called LG. They sent a tech out and he diagnosed a failed sealed system. To have a failed sealed system in 2 years is truly, truly remarkable. But you then think to yourself, Well thats ok though, sealed system is under warranty right? NOPE! The parts might be covered by warranty, but the LABOR is not. And apparently sealed system is a specialty repair service and I was quoted at $850-$1100 on the low end JUST OF LABOR.And then you think to yourself, Well Jesus, thats unbelievably expensive, so you call LG and ask them why they are selling $3400 refrigerators that dont even last 2 years? What kind of product quality are they really putting out? And they dont back up their own products? We work hard for that kind of money and consumers deserve quality assurance for their purchase. Agent very reluctantly escalated my case and I was eventually granted an exception to cover labor under warranty as well, but now heres the most interesting part. I called their authorized service provider to come back out and fix it, now with a warranty exception code but they flat out REFUSED to come back to work on the thing because apparently LG has stiffed them multiple times on warranty repairs. So LG is not only stiffing their customers with cheap and faulty appliances but they are also stiffing their own authorized service providers on warranty reimbursement to repair their cheap and faulty appliances. But you could figure that would happen if so many of them break right? Its not good business for LG to repair everything they build. So at this point, it has been 1 month since Ive had a working refrigerator. There are literally only two service providers in my area that can fix sealed systems and are authorized to work on LG (a huge amount of service providers dont even want to work on LG, so let that be the giant red flag for you.) But of these two service providers, both of them refuse to do any warranty work for LG whatsoever. I guess I wouldnt want to either, if I wasnt getting paid for my work. I have been in contact with LG daily about this, asking to give me a real solution, but they just keep giving me lip service and lists of more and more service providers, all of which are completely out of the state and cant even come here because they are not licensed outside of their own state. Ive gone through 20+ service providers that LG has given me and its the same story over and over. We dont service your area, we arent licensed in your state etc etc.I tried explaining this to LG repeatedly but they either dont listen or dont care. Or perhaps they already know, but they just give you an endless run around with no real solution. The last agent I talked to just bluntly told me Im SOL. So ask yourself this, what good is a warranty if their own company wont back it up? What good is a warranty if no service provider will accept it because LG is scheming them out of their money too? At this point I can either pay $1200+ for parts and labor out of my own pocket and reinvest back into this terrible piece of garbage that I am confident will just fail again in the near future or I can just take this thing out to the backyard and blow it up and buy a different brand. And really, in full and total honesty, Im much more inclined to do the latter. Because I will never trust my food in this thing ever again, even if it gets fixed.I will never trust LG again. Im now just far too ashamed to even have the LG symbol in my household now that I know the truth of this company. Yeah, youre sitting there reading all these reviews because this is a big purchase for you, just like it was for me. And youre thinking to yourself, This poor guy, he just got unlucky that his broke so early, but mine wont be like that and even if mine does have a problem, I have this great LG warranty right? You dont. LG is proven to have cheap and faulty products and they have proven that their warranty is completely meaningless because THEY HAVE NO INFRASTRUCTURE TO REPAIR IT ANYWAY. Youre better off buying 30 mini refrigerators for the same price and then just replacing them as they break throughout the years... But the truly sad part is... You wont need that many because one cheap $100 mini fridge will still last significantly longer than any giant shiny piece of junk you buy from LG.

We move a lot and this is our 4th LG Washer and Dryer set. However the new machines, neither fill properly with water or agitate like the older models and therefore clothes, towels, sheets do not come clean. We were told by LG to use the permanent press cycle as it uses the most water. In addition, select prewash, extra rinse and heavy duty (for amount of soil). All this take over 1.5 hours. It does use a bit more water and clothing is much cleaner but not 100%. All our whites have slowly greyed after using this washer for 6 months. Yes they can advertise that they use less water but they sure cannot advertise that the washer does its job.

I purchased the LG HE top loader (machine # WT 4801CW) in December 2011. It has never effectively cleaned a single load of clothes. Shirts come out of the wash still smelling of perfume/cologne; sheets come out with large dry spots where they never got wet. Washing in cold or hot water does not matter, nor does setting the washer on the highest level for soil and the extra high level of spin speed. I do not use a clothes dryer, so I use fabric softener but the clothes are so wrinkled even if I remove them the instant the cycle stops that every single item would need to be ironed. Even when washing very small loads (one pair jeans, 2 shirts, 2 pairs socks) there are dry spots on the clothes until the final rinse cycle, so they are obviously not getting clean. This machine will not remove any stain at all, no matter how minor. It also takes over 60 minutes to wash one load and has increased the number of loads I do a week despite having a much larger capacity than my previous washer. Luckily, when we bought it at Best Buy, they provided a 30-day return policy. My new washer will arrive this weekend. Im back to a front load Frigidaire, which is what I had before. I never had a single complaint about that machine. It lasted 18 years and never had a single service call, cleaned every single thing we ever put in it, and was very inexpensive to operate as well as having a much more reasonable price than anything else we saw on the market.

Purchased a new LG French Door Refrigerator, over $3,500.00 with water and ice dispenser on the door. Refrigerator is only a few years old and I am working on my second service call. Cooling stopped working, freezer stopping working, ice cubes stored in the door melted and ran through the door and all over my floor. My freezer drawer was completely full and all frozen food unthawed, what a mess! All contents of the main refrigerator had to be thrown out. Services calls, replacing parts and replacing the lost food turns into an expensive venture. Extremely disappointed that manufacturers are unable to produce quality appliances in todays world. I am certain Quality Control does not exist at LG. They know how to assess a price tag and take the consumers money!

I have a stainless steel LG French Door Refrigerator that I purchased from Home Depot. After approximately 1 year, the refrigerator front seal ripped. When I contacted LG, the stated comment was that they had never had this problem reported before, and it now was not covered by warranty because of the time limit. It is not covered by the store warranty that I bought as it only covers mechanical problems. Frequently, the ice maker freezes (and the door tray simply cannot be removed - poor design) requiring me to use a hair dryer to thaw it out. What a problem! This is not covered by warranty. I contacted LG about this problem, no response. Personally, I would never buy another LG product.

Purchased product for new home in early 2015. Two and a half years later, (before the fourth of July holiday), it died. Stopped cooling. Waited for several days, since repairman came to our area once a week. But that was just the service call. After close to $1,000.00 in labor, service call and tax, one week later the repairs were made. Refrigerator worked until lo and behold two years later almost to the day, the same issues occurred. JUNE 13, 2019 to be exact. This was a Wednesday and of course the day service is available in our area is Tuesday, we waited a week for the service call and a second week for repair. Compressor and several other parts replaced again. As the repairman was getting ready to leave, the fridge DIED. He stated he knew something was really wrong with our unit and claimed it unrepairable.Enter LG. No you need to replace the heat exchanger. It is now over two weeks since this repair and still no fix for refrigerator and it is Wednesday so you can bet no resolution until AT LEAST next Tuesday if at all. Mind you we are under warranty for parts and labor which we should have been two years ago also. We will never and will advertise to all the new builds on our community website to stay away from LG Refrigerators. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with LG service and no help whatsoever. So bottom line --- Dont go the LG route. Buy American.

I was disappointed to find my refrig was aluminum instead of the stated stainless steel. To check yours apply a magnetic to it. If it sticks, it is steel. If it doesnt, it is probably aluminum. It is so hard to keep clean and I can no longer keep my recipes or keepsakes or photos on it. Although the sides are not aluminum they are too closed in to use. As far as the workings go, it seems to be working fine. However it is only a few months old. I have only one complaint so far. It cost 50$ to replace the water filter every 6 mo. Whats with that? I never had to replace it on my old one and had no problems. Of course it wasnt an LG. Then I read that you have to have a LG repair man only to repair it. Not very customer friendly. I wish I had read the reviews before buying. Ill know better next time...

Our house has never had a loose or knocking pipe until we bought an LG washer. Ive heard this called water hammer. It started immediately after installation. I contacted LG and was told, This means that there is a sudden obstruction in the path of high pressure fluid through a pipe. This is caused by high water pressure in pipes not by the washer. Considering how very many complaints Ive found, this is the washer. I now have a pipe loose in the wall.

I purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator in 2005 and it ran perfectly until 2012 when Sandy destroyed it. In November 2013, I bought another LG French Door Refrigerator model number LG LFX31945ST. The motherboard was replaced in the summer of 2015 and just this morning, the same error codes existed. I guess we can NEVER go away from the house unless we clean out the refrigerator/freezer before leaving because you never know when you would come home to spoiled food. NEVER will buy another LG appliance again.

I bought an LG dryer 4 years ago and have already had it repaired twice. Only once was it under warranty. Now, my dryer was making large clunky sounds as it turned. I called the repair company that was used under the warranty and they came out to look at it. They found the drum to be cracked at the weld. I looked that up on the internet and found several other complaints for the same problem. Well, I immediately called customer service and talked with them. The gentleman I talked to said that he would email me the paperwork so that I could make a claim. Well, the email came in without a claim number which I needed to attach the pictures and original purchase receipt. Well, the email came without a claim number. I emailed them back and was told I needed to call customer service. Two days later, I get a phone call telling me that they wouldn€t cover the cost of a new drum because I already had it replaced. Mind you, this was two weeks after the initial call. Well, needless to say, they refused to reimburse me because I didn€t want to wait for them to send one of their repair people out to look at it so they could charge me another $80.00 just to look at it on top of the $50.00 already paid to another company to find the problem. For supposed to be top-of-the-line appliances, they are nothing but problems. I would not recommend buying any LG appliances whatsoever.

DO NOT BUY LG refrigerator. DO NOT USE A & E Factory Service. Terrible experience that is still ongoing. I have waited over a month for repair. First appointment was canceled on me. Second appointment tech was a idiot and did not fix. Third appointment was canceled on me because one of three parts didn€t not arrive. I requested a different tech but on 4th appointment he shows up at my door. And he only used 1 of the 3 parts that was ordered. I am super frustrated and the dumb tech even laugh that he could€ve fixed it the first time he came. This is 24 hrs later... the refrigerator is still not cold!!!! He didn€t even fix it. I hate LG and I hate the A & E (Sears) service. LG knows they have a issue with their compressors.

This is the WORST appliance I have ever owned! Second day after receiving it we had to call repair out due to ice forming in freezer. So much ice in freezer we couldnt pull out the drawers. LG said it was a design flaw and fixed it. Fast forward. Luckily we had taken the extended warranty out for 5 years. In the 5 years we owned it before the warranty was up we had to have it repaired a total of 5 times with the last repair being the refrigerator totally stopped cooling. LG replaced the circuit board and said that should fix it. It didnt. They came back out and replaced the compressor. This fixed it but not totally. We were without a refrigerator for 1 full month. We had to turn the temperature lower than what it was actually cooling. I should have called them out again at that point but it was cooling. About a month after the warranty was out it stopped cooling to where it should be. Called repair again. They refused to work on it. Said they did everything they could do. Plus if it was the compressor again we would have to pay for labor. Also if it was the control panel, they only have refurbished parts because they dont make that anymore. We were concerned about it not being fixed after paying a bunch for labor so decided to have it taken to the dump after only 5 years and purchased a different brand that is made in the USA. We originally paid $2800 for this piece of crap!

I wish I could describe my experience, but there are no words for the dishonestly, incompetence, run-around, LYING, lack of responsibility, unprofessional, and just plain unethical, horrific conduct this company has shown me in spades and spades and spades. I purchased a very expensive LG Space Saver, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer about 16 months ago. Surprise - surprise, the compressor went out. The labor was not under warranty, but the part apparently was. Well, that would require even a semblance of customer service or honestly or even a mild attempt to care about a customer or fix a product. What I got was a vague reference to maybe having someone CALL ME in 2-3 weeks to MAYBE get out there and maybe fix the compressor. First, I was put through a bunch of dumb tests and waiting -- because yeah, a refrigerator SQUEALING, thawing out, and dripping ice down the door could be caused by leaving the door open for 5 minutes. NOT. And I didnt. Still, it took me a while -- playing LGs games -- to realize that nobody has any responsibility or integrity. That they lie as quickly and effortlessly as some folks breathe, and that every single person you talk to will give you a different answer or solution -- absolute no one will mean what they say or follow through. And they could care less how much of your time, effort, or money they cost you (I lost $800 worth of food; spent over 7 hours on the phone, talking to over 12 different people, many not even in the USA, being promised things that never happened -- only to be shuffled to someone else; being referred to their own repair companies THAT DID NOT EXIST! (Literally, I called all three of the companies myself because I couldnt wait 2-3 weeks for maybe. One, the guy was out for the next month or so because of surgery -- yeah, glad I didnt wait 2-3 weeks on him; one, they said they stopped working with LG years ago and wished theyd quit telling people otherwise; and the last one - phone disconnected). Yet, I could not get anyone at LG to understand why I wasnt willing to wait 2-3 weeks for someone at one of these 3 companies to call me!!!In the send you to ten different people, all of who will lie to you game (oh, and prepare to sit on hold for 30 minutes or more at a time, just to be rerouted to someone and start all over... again... and again...), I was told they had a repairman in the area and were sending him to my house now. Please hold. Please hold. Please hold. only to waste another hour and be told I needed to wait on one of the three companies. This went on for 3-4 days!!! Meanwhile, I tried to call an independent repairman -- my family actually needs to eat -- and what I heard from professional after professional after professional was a NIGHTMARE. No one would work with LG. LG does not pay their claims. LG compressors break all the time. Dealing with LG is a virtual nightmare. Etc! I finally found a company with a certified LG repairman (He used to WORK FOR LG) who said he would work on the warrantied part and seek payment for it from LG. (LG had already given me a useless approval # which I could use with one of those three companies. Are we really back to calling the unicorns and Santa Claus again -- newsflash, idiots! They dont exist!) Anyhow, after another day of dealing with a bunch of representatives not in the USA, I got a hold of someone who walked me through a ton of steps in order to send a pre-approved service authorization to the company I FOUND -- it would be in the companys email box in 24-48 hours. Guess what? Surprise - surprise. There was no email authorization; they never sent anything; they never called me back; and I guess they just lied at the time.So I finally paid to have the private company come out and check the refrigerator -- bad compressor. Of course, read the reviews -- everyone is saying this, so LG must know it! Well the company tried to get a hold of LG to schedule a date to fix the compressor -- they had my approval # and told LG I had been given authorization to use them and the authorization was supposed to be in their email box a week ago (oh, and they made me call the company and get a bunch of information, including this email address for this authorization email that never existed. Maybe they do this ** for fun??? Anyhow, the company Id hired could never get hold of anyone at LG -- no surprise there -- so finally went through their world-class (world being literal - class being a JOKE) customer service, only to be told that there would be no authorization because *I* the customer had an appointment scheduled for next week with one of those three original companies. ARE - YOU - KIDDING - ME!?! No one ever called me or scheduled any appointment, and as we all know -- those 3 companies were bogus to begin with. What the ** kind of operation is LG running. This is beyond PATHETIC. Its fraudulent. Moronic. Inexcusable. Sad thing is: I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCT AGAIN, no matter how large or small, and Ive already told everyone I know to AVOID THE REFRIGERATORS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Good going, LG.RUN - DONT WALK - AWAY FROM ANY LG REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER. Or at least call half a dozen appliance repair companies and ask what they have to say about this product -- youll get a surprising earful. LG has no customer service, and they couldnt give two ** if their customers ever get anything fixed, let alone in a timely fashion. If you have 20 - 30 - 40 hours to be given the runaround, to sit on hold, to be lied to and shuffled, to speak to folks all over the world who will each tell you a new and ever-more inventive lie, then by all means, buy this refrigerator. But if you think any part of it will ever break, then youre on your own. LG should be ASHAMED. And I hope theres a class-action lawsuit at some point because they need to be exposed.

It kept breaking down, it took over a week to get it fixed each time it was related to the same problem I lost food. I talked with at least 5 different service people. I felt as if I was given the runaround. Then they sent me a check for a buyout check for the service contract, so when it go bad again I have only 1100 hundred dollars to buy another refrigerator. I would love to write you a more detailed letter, but I think it would useless. Eleven hundred dollars is not enough money to buy another refrigerator or pay for my disappointment. After reading all the entries in this section, I thought Id let others know that you are not alone. In a nutshell, my LG frig (bottom freezer model LRFC22750SW) had to have the motherboard replaced 3 times in the first 2 years: the lights staying on problem happened twice and one time the light bulbs inside the fridge exploded in my face when I tried to remove them with an oven mitt. The clamps at the top of the doors broke off for no apparent reason. They just fell into my hand one day. The gasket around the fridge doors failed. The icemaker failed. The front dented after barely nudging it. The freezer was blasting frost throughout due to a relay switch going bad. But heres the kicker - there was a class action lawsuit filed due to the lights in the fridge staying on and melting the inside of the fridge. I joined the claim and they advised that my $408 for one of the repairs would be reimbursed. This was over a year ago and I have not received any reimbursement to date. What astonishes me is that some sites say LG refrigerators are in the top 10 of certain lists. I dont understand how this can be true, especially seeing all these complaints on this site. Needless to say, I will never buy another LG and I will never recommend the brand to anyone for any type of device.

On August 25, 2019 my refrigerator started getting warmer and warmer. I called Sears repair but they only had an appointment two weeks out on September 10th so I took it. Thats a long time to go without a refrigerator. However, I read online that LG refrigerators have issues with their compressor so I decided to call LG direct to see if there was any warranty on my fridge I purchased in 2012. After the standard questions...the service agent provided me with a phone number of the local repair person for LG. I called Lilo and he was able to come out the very next day. He confirmed it was the compressor and then tested the motherboard to make sure the software would be compatible with the new compressor which it was, whew. I know there have been a lot of bad reviews here but I didnt have the same experience so I decided to take the time to post. Thank you for the help LG and I appreciate your service repair person here in Hawaii!

After using my hand me down washer that was 23 years old, we decided to purchase a brand new LG front loader. We purchased it at a Best Buy with the matching dryer in October 2011. Now February 2012, I had to have a service technician come out to repair the washer. When the washer tried to turn clockwise, it made a grinding sound not be able to spin. It did spin counterclockwise. Of course, the warranty ended three and a half months prior to this problem. The technician told me he reconnected the bolt on the inside and it should be good for a few days. He told me that he assumed that I washed large loads. Why wouldnt I wash large loads? That is why I bought a large capacity washer. Stupid assumption! Anyway, he told me it would cost $350 to replace and repair the part. As for it lasting a few more days, I put in a load of three pairs of socks and one t-shirt. It still grinds! So much for a few days. Also, Mr. technician, is three pairs of socks and one t-shirt a large load to you?

My husband and I are teachers and dont make much to begin with, and we are only paid 10 months out of the year. It is our responsibility to be conservative with our money so we often buy in bulk with coupons. Well, last year after we came home from our vacation (not a glamorous one either) to a very hot refrigerator and $400 worth of food that had gone bad, we called and fought with LG customer service who were very rude to us. They refused to replace the food but because it was less than 6 months old and under warranty, they sent someone to fix the problem. Now this summer, we went away again, and came home to a fridge full of moldy food again and another $300 worth of food. At this point, we cannot afford to replace much of it because we wont see another check until the end of September. We were trying to budget and plan ahead. We paid for the extended warranty from PC Richards who has been wonderful thus far. So, they sent someone out to take a look at it, but we were told that this is just a trait of the LGs which have fans that are known to shut down if the food cabin gets too cold and sometimes there is a glitch where the fan wont turn back on again unless the refrigerator is unplugged then plugged in again. So both my husband and I have been on the phone with LG customer service, and they have been nothing but rude. I was told that it was not in the customer service policy to replace the lost food. When I asked them why they had that policy, the supervisor was unable to tell me. She just said that that was their policy. All I asked was why, but she refused to tell me. If I treated the students and parents in my classroom the way LG treated my husband and me, I would be out of a job.

The machine is still under warranty, yet, whenever we try to call them to actually fix the ** thing they inform us they will be charging us more. I do not understand why LG has a warranty system going, if they are going to charge us for a problem that we have not caused. We bought an LG Refrigerator 4 years ago. The compressor recently failed. We were astonished to learn that it would take 3 weeks before it could be repaired. However, it got much worse. A few days before the scheduled repair, we were notified the repair would be delayed another week. Then on the day of the newly scheduled repair the repair technician called in sick. We were delayed another day. The next day the technician went to the wrong address. The repair was delayed another 2 weeks. At the next repair date a tech finally showed up at our house, only to inform us that LG shipped us a generic compressor and he had not been provided the tools to install this generic compressor. The next available appointment for a tech with the appropriate tools is 3 weeks away. The tech also informed us that he couldnt even guarantee that the compressor would fix the problem and we might be back in the same boat in a matter of weeks or months. I will never buy another LG product. After being without a refrigerator for over 2 months, we are likely to just go buy a new refrigerator at this point. What a horrible, frustrating and maddening experience.

From the beginning, several parts (plastic door holders) starting falling off and breaking. We have had repair people out multiple times in the past few years (including again today). The refrigerator often freezes items and the freezer does not freeze (yes this is somewhat ironic). The freezer door is currently broken and ice maker is hanging down. We also splurged and purchased the LG combo after being told they were the best. We had them 4 months and the washer began to leak. We had the service people out 7 times. Of course, it would not leak when they were here. We also had the disgusting odor and high-pitched scream when filling with water. The service men informed us that it could no way be their problem--it had to be something we did. They also had no idea how to get rid of the smell. We were still under warranty at the time. I had to keep taking off time from work to be here when they were here. The last time they were here, though, I walked in on one of them talking to their dispatcher complaining that they had been here several times and they were making no money on this call. Isnt that great? I have a faulty washer and dryer and they are worried about money? What about the money we spent on these relics? Needless to say, that was the last time they were here. I just happened to ask a sales lady at Home Depot about the odor and she told me about the front panel and draining that tube and actually running Clorox bleach through the machine. She also said do not use Downy whatever you do as it builds up on the drum and does not come off and always leave the washer door open. But, now, there€s a new problem: the light never goes off in the washer. It used to. I emailed LG and their response was you need a service call. Are you kidding? If there is a class action suit, I want in. I have not talked to one person that is happy with their machine!

We had this beautiful fridge installed in June of 2012 and right away the freezer compartment spilled ice all over the floor when you opened the freezer drawer. The repairman messed with the seal on one visit, then replaced the seal on another visit and finally replaced the freezer door on the third visit. Problem with that was then resolved. Was gone for three months and back home for summer and the freezer quit working on July 4 - water all over the hard wood floors and freezer food thawed--they came out and did repairs on a fan. A week later the same thing happened - came out - needs new compressor. Came out with the right part no. on the box, but when he went to install it, wrong compressor - could not even restart the fridge section - so without fridge too. Yesterday they installed the correct compressor and freezer wont go below 29 degrees. American has been very good to do repairs and are trying to help us. We also bought the extended warranties, but that company has been somewhat difficult to work with. It is like no one knows who should do what. Very unhappy with this product. Now I have seen many others experiencing the same issues. Should the consumer have to suffer inconveniences and perhaps even damage to their home PLUS pay for the product and warranties especially when LG surely knows they have problems? I feel badly for the repairmen, but am wondering why companies continue to sell these products when obviously there are significant issues. What are we to do?

Now we both have nice dryers and will have mismatched washers. Beware! Bearings are not covered and you will have a flood, no washer, mismatched appliances, ruined flooring. Of course our State is not in the class action against LG. Guess where we would like to stick the stainless drum!

Not satisfied with my LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST. I purchased this refrigerator in February 17, 2013 and now the freezer/and main food compartment doesnt cool or freeze. However, the interior light does work. Called LG and they advised me that a Tech would be out in two days to check it out. So we bought ice. The Tech did arrive in two days, checked it out and found that the compressor had failed. My Fridge is still under warranty and should not have a problem getting it fixed, but its new. I kind of look at the fridge as buying a car, turns bad there is a lemon law that protects the customer. The compressor is like the engine of a car going bad. Well, the Tech did call in to Atlanta, Georgia to request a new compressor and should arrive in two days. He said it would take three (3) hours to replace. We will see this Thursday, Jul 25, 2013, if he is correct or even shows up.

Think twice before you buy a LG refrigerator. The compressor on mine failed just past a year of use. LG repair people were less than helpful but they finally agreed to pay for new compressor but we were on the hook for labor because we had not purchased extended warranty. My granddaughter purchased a LG refrigerator just after ours. Her compressor failed just after a year. She did purchase the extended warranty but has now been waiting eight weeks for repair with no end in sight. Repair people do not want to do business with LG because it takes months and months for them to be paid/reimbursed by LG.

The washer keeps tripping GFI which indicates a current leakage problem, that is, a DESIGN PROBLEM. Local techs and LG keep writing this up as an electrical breaker tripping which is a problem of shorting out, or over-amping, not current leakage. GFI breakers are required by electrical code in areas where water is present. The local techs and LG want to solve this problem by removing the GFI, thus violating electrical code in order to make their product work. Current leakage design problems dont improve, they get worse over time, further endangering customer safety.

At invitation via email from LG, I spent quite a long time writing a carefu
At invitation via email from LG, I spent quite a long time writing a careful, truthful evaluation of my fancy still-under-warranty LG washer WM3875HVCA, which has had about seven or eight service visits. Both computer panels have been changed out; the water valve has been replaced; the door latch has been replaced; and still, the thing locks when I try to open the door post-cycle. Also, water continues to leak into the drawer serviced by the water valves, and the supposed anti-wrinkle option, which an LG representative told me directly on the phone is supposed to be constant for the eight hours as indicated, appears to do nothing. It is never on, whenever I check on it after a cycle.I had written a grammatically correct, no swear words, truthful review, and picked only two starts out of five. Would anyone like to guess how LG responded? They denied allowing my review to be published on their site, supposedly claiming it did not meet their guidelines. Um, would those guidelines include singing only praises of their products (i.e.. if you give a negative review, they dont want to hear it, publish it, or know of it)?I am completely disgusted with this situation. LGs email denying my reviews acceptance told me to submit another review as if anything similarly negative would receive their approval for site-publication.As long as I dont rave about this washer, I suspect they are never going to allow anyone to see what my experience has been because then, prospective buyers would take a pause before considering a similar purchase. Indeed, the only reviews, which I read, on LGs site are all glowing about my washer. Ha.

We have an LG washer and dryer. The main problem is with the front loader washer. We find that our clothes always smells of mold. I have tried different cleaners, pellet fresheners, bleach washing only but the smell of mold is still there. Some people tell me the reason for this, is that we live in Florida. What can I do to correct this problem. Is there a recall on these units. Thank You.

I bought this washer from Conns 2 years ago along with the matching dryer.
I bought this washer from Conns 2 years ago along with the matching dryer. I bought it on the recommendation of my nephew who had the set. I guess he never used it otherwise he wouldnt have recommended it to me or 2 of my sisters or he flat out hates us. My 2 sisters have already sold off the washer for cheap on craigslist and bought GE products; I will be doing it the same thing soon. This POS gets off balance even when during a Tub Clean which is done when the washer is empty. It can take hours to complete a load as you have to babysit it to make sure you wont get the UE code; when that happens it will fill the washer with water and try again, over and over. When I can get a load to go through a cycle completely without an error code I feel like I have won a prize. I do know that the best way to get a load to complete is to fill that sucker up! Small loads will continually go off balance until you reach the breaking point of pulling out most of the wet load and spinning it out by sections. Ive done this too many times to count but I wont wash baby clothes with the regular laundry.Oh yeah, when the machine had to refill and refill with water, the detergent and softener dispensers get filled with water even after the load has completed so when you go to do another load and pour the product in, it releases into the load immediately as its full of water. I now have to check that the drawer is empty before adding in the detergent, if not then I have to shake and open and shut the drawer rapidly to clear out the excess water. If you have small children be aware that they can climb in the drum and if they have accidentally turned it on and closed the lid, they are going for a ride! My 7 year old daughter and her friend did this to scare me only it backfired on them, the machine started despite the fact I had the child lock enabled. The lid would not open even after being unplugged, the mechanism jammed. We had to break the lid to get the girls out before they suffocated. Needless to say they were the ones scared beyond belief and mostly unhurt except some scratches and bruises. The drum is HUGE, 2 kids fit in there along with half a load of laundry! LG replaced the lid and said they would work on the child lock aspect and get back to me but I havent heard a thing from them.I dont think it cleans well either, Ive pulled out crib sheets and they still have spit up on them which is gross. Because of the way the drum agitates, items usually end up balled up or tangled together so not everything gets cleaned. On every load I usually set it to the soak cycle so I know everything is getting wet; when I forget is when I find stains that should have come out. Buy any other brand than this one, Im buying a GE even though they are loud machines. This is a quiet machine, you dont even notice that its refilled the washer in the rinse cycle for the past four hours straight as the UE signal doesnt always come on.
