Hace unas semanas compramos un microondas LG sobre la gama. Desde el primer d√≠a, ha sido extremadamente ruidoso cuando funciona. Se ha convertido en algo muy irritante y embarazoso cuando otros est√°n en la cocina. Mi marido llam√≥ a la l√≠nea 800 de atenci√≥n al cliente. El representante pudo escuchar el funcionamiento a trav√©s del tel√©fono y se limit√≥ a decir que era normal. Por lo tanto, no se ofreci√≥ ninguna soluci√≥n. Total piece of junk and I will never buy an LG appliance again. $2000 fridge ice machine then the main compressor failed within 2 weeks of each other. Didnt even bother to try a costly repair so had it hauled away and bought a competitors brand. After some research, apparently this is pretty common with LG refrigerators. LG should be ashamed at making such poor quality equipment.
I purchased an LG Refrigerator 3 to 4 years ago with Model Number LFC21760ST and Serial Number **. Within 6 months time, the plastic shelves in the top refrigerator broke. The company replaced them with the same shelves after I called to complain. Within 6 more months or so, the same shelves broke again, then the long tray shelf cracked completely in two pieces. I did not call to complain as there was no point in asking for more junk replacement parts. This morning, when I opened the refrigerator, the light box had fallen and the contents of my refrigerator were hot from the two hanging light bulbs. I called the company service number above and was told this is a common problem and theyll come out to fix the light bulb box only, not all the broken flimsy plastic shelves. How can I warn consumers not to buy this product? It is just my husband and I who use this refrigerator, and it has not been abused. This was not an inexpensive product, yet it was constructed with junk materials. Please advise buyers to beware of this LG product line. Thank You,Jeanne

El ahorro de agua, es una broma. Tarda casi dos horas en limpiar la ropa adecuadamente ya que necesita un aclarado extra para que se aclare bien. La √ļnica cosa buena que puedo decir es que la gente de la garant√≠a extendida ha sido excelente tratando de ayudar, pero no creo que est√©n conectados a LG.
Just using the refrigerator. Normally the defrost does not work. The repairman told me to unplug the refrigerator to let it defrost for 24 hours. Of course that means all of the food is spoiled. Home Depot has informed Im stuck with this piece of junk. After 24 hours I am suppose to plug it back in and hope it runs and cools properly. If it does not the repairman will order a fan which will take a week to get. In the meantime I and a bunch of spoiled food and no refrigerator. Do not buy an LG! LFXS30726S.
I bought an LG Refrig/Freezer side by side unit in 2013. Within four months, the doors stopped sealing causing all food inside to spoil while I was out of town. Not covered by warranty, spent over $200 to have it repaired. Repair seal was no better which resulted in a second spoilage and waste of hundreds of dollars of food. Spent another $200 - all this within a year. I bought LG because they were supposedly good. I have learned the hard way. This is far from the truth. This morning my refrigerator was dead at the age of 31 months. After calling support number I was told to hire a technician. Instead I have emptied it out and am pushing it out to the curb where it belongs - in a trash dump. Bottom line is LG refrigerators are LEMONS. Do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER BUY ONE.
We purchased all new LG appliances for our new summer home. In our third year of use, our dishwasher began to error out with a 1E code and would shut down. We were able to restart it and it would complete its cycle. That worked for a short time and then it started to error out all of the time. We contacted LG and they told us to contact a repair service. We purchased a new part and that did not work, so LG sent us a new control panel. That did not work. We have taken the machine out and put back in, made sure it was level and it still did not work. We now have an immaculate dishwasher that does not work. Now within the last year, our numbers on our stove clock have been burning out one by one. LG does not stand by their products and had an oh well attitude. We will never purchase another LG product.
Compr√© este conjunto porque me gustaba el aspecto del acero inoxidable con una capa transparente en la parte superior. Lamentablemente, despu√©s de 3 a√Īos, el acabado de la parte superior de la lavadora no ha aguantado y tiene muchas marcas y rayas, lo cual es extra√Īo porque el acabado no parece rayado, s√≥lo tiene decoloraciones. 2015 LG french door refrigerator Model: LMXS307465 - Purchased December 2015, so just over 2 years old. Suddenly not cooling adequately and had ice building up. After defrosting and cleaning, would not cool to safe food storage temperatures. Several phone calls to LG for phone diagnostics were no help. Finally said it needed a service call and gave me numbers for 3 different service companies. Either they didnt come to my town or didnt work on LG. Finally found somebody to come on my own. Now awaiting a new control board. Called LG back to find out that part was only covered for a year under my warranty. That was an expensive fridge with a lousy warranty. I suspect Im not the only customer with this issue.
I upgraded kitchen appliances provided by my builder 4 years ago & thought I was purchasing quality along with customer service by purchasing the Sears Kenmore Elite manufactured by LG. In 2018, the compressor on the refrigerator went out and it took Sears almost two months to replace. In July, 2019 unit started getting hot; Sears repair service came out, worked from 7pm till 9:45 and said they repaired the unit but the next morning it was still not cooling or freezing. Ive had multiple food loss with no customer satisfaction of reimbursement. Ive called multiple appliance repair companies and all have said they choose not to service appliances MFG by LG because of poor workmanship! I am so disappointed because Ive work too hard to just donate to a mega companys bottom line. At this point I cant recommend any LG product based on my experience. After writing this Im still without refrigeration & no customer satisfaction!!!
Our 4.5 yr old refrigerator sounded like a Dash 8 aircraft for a few days before 2 fans in it stopped working entirely. We just had a LG repairman come out after waiting 3 days and prepaying the special price of $199.00 plus GST only to be told that LG no longer carry the parts that we need for model LFX23965ST. He said that we will have to get a new appliance. We were in shock because the call center agent said that the fee would cover all costs of parts and labor. Who would ever dream that LG would no longer carry parts for an appliance that would not even be considered old by any reasonable person!!! Our appliance was purchased at Home Depot along with an electric stove and a dishwasher.
I had an LG French Door refrigerator that would not keep a cool enough temperature without lowering the freezer to the point of over freezing food. After 3 repair visits it came under the Lemon clause and I was refunded my money. I then bought another LG per its Consumer Reports rating. This time I bought just a bottom freezer as the French doors were a joke as you had to open both to take anything out. This 2nd one was now doing the opposite and freezing everything at the top and would be too high a temperature on the bottom if lowered the temperature to compensate for the top. I moved all my contents around and seem to have balanced out an agreeable temperature top and bottom. The only other complaint I have is the shelve adjustment which I find very limited. I would love to be able to have more options in configuring my shelves to suit my needs.
Bought my refrigerator model LFX33975ST in 2013. Had high hopes I wouldnt have to purchase another unit for a long time but to my surprise two years later, Im looking at doing just that! My husband and I usually research products pretty good before purchasing them so we thought LG was a good choice -- WRONG. After two years, my refrigerator has stopped cooling. LGs Customer Service told me to contact a repairman to confirm the problem was the compressor and if so, they would mail a new part to me. The problem was the compressor, but the repairman told me they would not repair the refrigerator even if LG provided the part. I called another repairman but they refused to even to come out to look at it once I told him it was a LG refrigerator. I called LG back (after five days had passed) to check the status of my repair request and after being put on hold for 15-20 minutes, the person told me he was unable to get a hold of anyone and gave me three numbers I could call for service. The person at the last number I called was very helpful and honest. She told me she could schedule someone to come out to look at the unit but I would have to provide proof of purchase before they could do anything per LGs company policy. I was never told that by LGs Customer Service and at that point, it became very obvious to me I may not ever get my refrigerator fixed. Thumbs down LG - I will never buy one of your products again; oh no, too late -- earlier this year we purchased a new LG dishwasher and washer/dryer... yeps!!!
On the surface, this is an awesome refrigerator. It looks good, has lots of space and makes ice like crazy. Too bad its broken down 4 times in as many years. The first time was because it wasnt properly ventilated. Never mind that our Frigidaire that we keep in the garage goes through winter and summer cycles without complaint and cost about 1/4 of what this one did. Ok, my bad. That one was at least covered under warranty. Next time it was the compressor. And the time after that, the water valve. Now the freezer light of out (probably the freezer drawer switch). This is pathetic. The last couple of problems werent covered and neither will this one be.

Desde el d√≠a que literalmente lo enchufamos, ha sido, y sigue siendo, una decepci√≥n. Para una empresa con la huella de LG, estamos horrorizados por su falta de ingenier√≠a y de atenci√≥n al cliente.Nuestro problema se hizo notar el primer d√≠a cuando el aparato no enfriaba correctamente. El primer indicador fue que la leche (que se almacenaba en el estante de la puerta del frigor√≠fico para acomodar un gal√≥n) estaba CALIENTE. Mi esposa procedi√≥ a comprar un termostato para controlar las temperaturas dentro de la cavidad de la unidad. Para el limitado espacio c√ļbico que tiene, las temperaturas variaban considerablemente. Procedimos a contactar con el Servicio de Atenci√≥n al Cliente, y para una unidad reci√©n sacada de la caja, nos encontramos inmediatamente con retos adicionales. 1- Nuestro primer contacto fue con un representante del servicio de atenci√≥n al cliente en Filipinas que hablaba un ingl√©s muy roto (si es que lo ten√≠a). (Las llamadas de seguimiento fueron simplemente malas.) Para una compa√Ī√≠a tan global uno esperar√≠a que tuvieran recursos mejor adaptados para ofrecer a sus clientes. 2- Para que un t√©cnico visite la situaci√≥n, potencialmente cobrar√≠an una llamada de servicio de 50 d√≥lares. (De nuevo, la unidad no tiene ni siquiera una semana. Esta pol√≠tica requiri√≥ un poco de lucha, pero se renunci√≥ a ella). 3- Un t√©cnico lleg√≥ a la casa para confirmar f√≠sica e inal√°mbricamente los ajustes. NO HAY PROBLEMA. En este momento, mi esposa se estaba perturbando un poco y dijo que una temperatura de 40 grados no s√≥lo es un problema, es un peligro para la salud. La soluci√≥n de los t√©cnicos fue recomendar que reorganiz√°ramos el contenido, y que art√≠culos como la mostaza, los pepinillos, los aderezos para ensaladas y la mantequilla .... estuvieran s√≥lo en los estantes de la puerta. Art√≠culos como la leche, a pesar de que la puerta tiene un estante para acomodar un contenedor de gal√≥n, debe ir en un estante. (Cabe mencionar que hemos guardado la leche en la puerta del frigor√≠fico durante los √ļltimos 40 a√Īos sin problemas de temperatura). Cuando procedimos a cuestionar ese razonamiento, su cura final fue la gota que colm√≥ el vaso... es que todav√≠a no nos hemos adaptado. Esos remedios son muy superficiales para una unidad que cuesta ~2.000 d√≥lares con una supuesta ingenier√≠a de vanguardia. No podemos entender c√≥mo una entidad importante como LG puede ser tan deficiente en algunas caracter√≠sticas b√°sicas de ingenier√≠a agravadas por sus ofertas superficiales para la satisfacci√≥n del cliente. No seguimos adelante con la garant√≠a extendida que ofrec√≠an principalmente debido a su coste. Adem√°s, la forma en que abordaron la circunstancia anterior nos desanim√≥ a√ļn m√°s, ya que tengo fuertes razones para creer que probablemente obtendr√≠amos el mismo resultado con cualquier llamada de servicio. Eso, y la lectura de otros comentarios, me hace seguir adelante con los dedos cruzados en ambas manos. Por su bien, espero que LG revise estas quejas publicadas, ya que son problemas leg√≠timos de los que deber√≠an hacerse cargo. Yo (y otros) tendr√© serias dudas a la hora de comprar CUALQUIER producto suyo que lleve el nombre de LG.
Updated on 4/13/2021: After 4 weeks LG sent a repairman for my refrigerator that wasnt working. He said the relay switch was bad and would order the part and return the next day. He never returned. He also said not to run the refrigerator. It was a fire hazard. I contacted consumer affairs and received a can message from lg stating they were returning the unit and send phone number name and claim # which I did. I am now using the refrigerator for a cooler I get ice every day to keep things cold. This is completely unacceptable. How would you like to be without a refrigerator for a week. I purchased this refrigerator in November.Original review: I purchased my refrigerator 11/20. The freezer works but refrigerator doesnt. Currently 60 degrees. I have contacted customer service three times and have yet to see or hear from a technician. Reference **
After buying LG refrigerator within 7 months the upper freezing compartment stopped working. After the complaint technician came made it work. But again after 9 months faced same issue. Then again technician did resolved it. At the second visit I asked the technician to make sure this should not happen again if it does give me a replacement. But again after 11 months it again freezing was not happening. So again I raised a complain but as the 1 warranty was going to they stopped responding. After 12 months when 1 year free service expired the call center executive without listening to the issue just telling that I will be charged and when I started explained previous complain they started hanging up phone on me. LG service really ridiculous. They dont treat customers well. If this is a case I would say Please dont buy their product.
No puedo esperar a comprar un nuevo lavavajillas. Este LG inverter de accionamiento directo NO seca los platos, vasos, utensilios, nada en realidad. El agua se queda a menudo en la parte superior de los platos y vasos. El olor que sale del lavavajillas es algo que he intentado eliminar sin √©xito. My LG bottom freezer refrigerator was 4 months old when it started to emit a chemical odor that permeated the foods and made them inedible. It smelled similar to the smell that it had when it was new that the manual said would disappear a few days after running it and it did go away. I called LG, and they sent a repairman, who opened the door, said he could smell nothing and that was it. Over 2 months, I called LG and I got the run-around until finally they said they will do nothing. I replaced the fresh air filter at 6 months to see if that would help, and it knocked the odor back for a few days, but then the odor just came back. Now, I have a brand new refrigerator sitting in my kitchen that is totally useless. Do not buy this refrigerator.
Bought an LG refrigerator in November, 2015. (We replaced a GE refrigerator that was 9 years old which worked fine, except that the fan was noisy.) In September, 2018, the LG refrigerator quit working. We discovered water on the floor and found that the ice had melted. All the food was spoiled. Upon contacting LG, we were initially provided a list of companies to contact to get the refrigerator repaired, and all companies were located in Georgia (we are located in Wisconsin). I then contacted a couple local service companies, and both told me that it was the compressor and would cost $1500 to replace (LG does not cover cost of repair after one year) and would take approximately 10 days to get the part and then install. We had no backup refrigerator and neither the vendor we purchased it from nor LG offered a loaner during the lengthy wait. Therefore we had no choice but to buy a new refrigerator. After 3 months of dealing with LG customer service, we were sent a check for $175 to cover spoiled food. I will never purchase another LG product. They take no responsibility for defective products - and from the reviews I‚€ôve now read, there are many defective products bearing the LG brand name.
Our LG front loading washer and dryer are seven years old. We purchased a four year service plan with each, which got us through the first four years. The washer is on its third drum, although replacement drum number two was discovered to be damaged during installation. A lot of other parts have also been replaced, Ive lost track. The water pump went out and needed replacement, which was probably good because it was discovered the drum was again loose. Now the unit died, nothing works, third control panel installed, still dead. The dryer is another story with a consistent knocking. When asked, the warranty serviceman suggested buying an older washing machine in good condition off Craigslist or at garage sales. Id happily pay more for a dependable product, in the end it would be more economical. I thought LG might be such a product but as it turns out its just run of the mill with great advertising.
We purchased an LG front load washer (LG WM2688HNM) and dryer in June 2007 from Best Buy. We had constant problems with the washer leaking. We had technicians out almost monthly to try and find the source of the leak without any success. After about five months of complaining to LG‚€ôs customer service, they did have Best Buy give us a replacement in June of 2008. Unfortunately, the new machine did the same thing, but not quite as often and more like every two or three months. Again, the technicians cannot find where the leak is occurring from. It does not seem to make any difference how much detergent or bleach one uses. About two years ago the machine started dancing across the floor and vibrating items off the shelves in the laundry room. The technician put pads under the washer that are supposed to keep it in place and reduce the vibrations, but to no avail. It just keeps moving from one side of the laundry room to the other side, so we have to put it back in place until the next load.Oh, by the way, the dryer does not work much better than the washer. It goes through the dry cycle (and it doesn‚€ôt seem to matter which one) and the clothes are still damp if not wet. It doesn‚€ôt seem to matter if one uses the wrinkle guard or not. One technician suggested that with LG, one needed to use normal if you were doing permanent press, clothes, etc., but they still don‚€ôt get fully dried. Based on our experience, I would have to say do not buy LG products. As it stands at this point, I don‚€ôt think I would take an LG product if they were to give it to me.
Had the range for 1 year. Had an extended warranty. Called service right after Thanksgiving because the range didnt heat up - needed a thermostat. Then was told I needed a control board which was on backorder. Part was coming from Korea and no one knew when it would be arriving. How can LG sell products and cant supply parts? The model range that I have is still actively being sold in the stores. How can they sell products without being able to obtain parts? I gave away my old stove which never broke down. They dont make products like they used to. It was hard to go thru the holidays without a range. I will never buy an LG product again. I have an LG microwave and refrigerator but will replace them when the time comes with a different manufacturer. The store that I bought the range from didnt help so finally today 01/07/15 the warranty company will refund some money. Thankfully I finally found someone that cared.

Tengo una estufa LG con Easy Clean. HA NO es f√°cil de limpiar. Llam√© a la empresa donde la compr√© y no quisieron hacer nada, llam√© al servicio t√©cnico y el hombre me dijo que el ciclo de limpieza funciona correctamente. Llam√© a LG y ellos obtuvieron su dinero, as√≠ que eso es lo √ļnico que les importa. Estoy muy decepcionado con mis electrodom√©sticos LG. Este supuesto ciclo de limpieza no limpia. Me dijeron en su d√≠a que estaba dise√Īado para ser limpiado despu√©s de cada uso. No tengo tiempo ni energ√≠a para limpiar mi horno todos los d√≠as. S√≠, todos los d√≠as. Cocino algo todos los d√≠as. Tengo 70 a√Īos y f√≠sicamente no puedo arrodillarme para limpiar un horno con frecuencia. No volver√© a comprar otro LG. ¬°Pronto este horno estar√° sentado en la acera como basura!
I spent a lot of money on the MOST expensive LG refrigerator, stove with two ovens, dishwasher and microwave. The refrigerator model: LFXS30726S/00 is the French doors on top and the pull out lower freezer with 2 drawers on bottom. I have had these for three years. I have 5 kids. We live in a nice, well kept home. Nobody trashes our things and yet these expensive appliances have failed us many times.Refrigerator started collecting ice in the very back behind the panel (2 months into owning it). The compressor is bad after 3 years of owning. The part is covered but I have to pay $400 towards the labor and the parts not covered. I just lost 100s of dollars of groceries (just went to Costco and stocked up two days ago). The repairman says that he replaces this exact part over and over. LG knows that the compressor is bad and they won‚€ôt fix it. LG has foreigners who can barely speak English take your calls and they play dumb. The dishwasher is all scratched up and dented from little bumps that never dented my GE Profile appliances (granted they were not stainless). The upper and lower oven are a great concept but the upper oven burns the bottom of almost everything. The glass panel on the lower oven door had what looks like dark grease running in between the glass panels and you can‚€ôt clean it.The microwave has been pretty good but it came shipped with a broken part. The refrigerator water filters are super expensive for what? THEY ALWAYS LOOK DIRTY. ALL PRINTS SHOW UP. Every little thing shows up on the stainless. Sears told me that they had upgraded the stainless on this product and the handprints don‚€ôt show like it used to... BULL CRAP. They look dirty from the time you get them until eternity. You can wash them every single day and they still look streaky and just plain embarrassing. And to top it off, we have no refrigerator for 6 people until Feb 28th providing that the part comes in on time. He says that the compressors go out on almost every one of these refrigerators and they are perpetually on back order. LG, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This stinks. I cannot afford to take 6 people out to eat every day. I trusted your name and fell for the looks of the product. Super disappointed with this purchase!!!
I bought an LG over the stove exhaust hood microwave in September 2009. Less than a year later, the door cracked along the frame. This hood was covered under warranty. Again, in 9 months, the second door did the same thing. I was referred to Warner Stellians headquarters customer service. Susan ** dealt with LG, who said too much time had lapsed since the original warranty expired. She then contacted their sales rep who came back with the same response. Therefore, Warners Stellian will do nothing about the door. I think the second door should have been under warranty because it was a new door. Otherwise, the microwave should be replaced. After much research and review we purchased the 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean. He ordered it on December 29, 2014 and it was delivered in February 2015. Apparently it was not constructed until January of 2015. So I was excited for a brand new stove. I am an avid baker and love to cook. So having this stove was exciting!Fast forward to October 19, 2016. Woke up early and went to heat water for tea. My LED screen had a time on it that was incorrect, so I tried to update the clock. Nothing worked. I freaked out and checked all the circuit breakers etc. Nothing then the screen went black. Fast forward to today, when they could finally come out to look at it. I need a new panel...Shocker. Its not even two years old. Good thing is that I purchased an extended warranty. But I have been without a stove for 7 days and it will be an additional 10 days until the part comes in. My guess is that this is a common problem. This is my first and LAST LG purchase. NEVER AGAIN!!!
I bought an LG refrigerator from Sears in May 2015. In June 2019, my freezer stopped making ice. Long story short: an LG technician diagnosed the problem as a compressor/sealed system failure. LG agreed to a courtesy repair but after three visits the LG technician submitted a report to the company declaring the unit unrepairable. Since then, the company has delayed and deflected and made follow up and follow through extremely difficult. I cannot reach a service manager on the phone. I am not sure whether I will be compensated for my losses. I know there is a class-action lawsuit against LG on this very issue. I may well end up joining it. There is no reason why a four-year-old perfectly maintained refrigerator should fail after four years. It should be covered under the manufacturers warranty.

La secadora a juego es s√ļper eficiente √©l ropa m√°s r√°pido y con menos arrugas. Nunca hab√≠a utilizado productos LG. Me alegro de haberlo hecho. Ahora que me voy a mudar a otra casa, estoy mirando a LG para todas mis necesidades de electrodom√©sticos de cocina y me voy a llevar mi lavadora y secadora.
LG needs to have a class action lawsuit filed against them or we all need to file claims against them in small claims court. We have most of the same issues as everyone else: Tromm LG washer and dryer. Washer model WM2277HW and dryer model DLG5988W. The washer smells like mold and always has. Slimy, moldy gasket, towels and bathroom rugs come out smelling like a barn, especially the washcloths. Soap dispenser does not drain properly; dryer does not dry. We have had multiple service calls and nothing gets more than a temporary fix or they declare they cant find anything wrong. These units were supposed to be the best and we have been putting up with them far too long.
I purchased this LG refrigerator on 7/9/2014 delivered it on 7/15/2014. From day 1 the fan made terrible noise. Called LG 2 weeks after I bought and they make you do that self diagnosis. The customer service person on the other end after being on the phone for 55 minutes tells me there is nothing wrong. I hung up and decided to live with it. After about 2 months of that then I started having trouble with the ice maker not making ice again. I called to be told to do that diagnosis then they tell me that I dont have enough water pressure for the ice maker but it worked with the water pressure to that day. And they tell you if they come out and its what they said they will charge you for the service call. Well again I gave up. A few more months go by and now the freezer will not freeze my food and I lose a whole bunch of food. I call. They send someone out that tell that I am leaving the freezer door open but they replace the grill assembly in the freezer that lasts for another month. Again the freezer stops freezing and they send someone different. Same thing is told to me. Im leaving the door open but again he replaces the grill assembly. Well that only lasted a month. Now the freezer, ice maker and the fridge are all not working. I call again on a Thursday. I have lost everything in the fridge and freezer. They call the repair guy who cannot come out for 7 days. He shows up to tell me he now needs to replace the main board and defrost control and that will take 3-5 more days. No refrigerator for 2 weeks and LG tells me thats the best they can do. How many times do you have to have something repaired before they give you a new working one?
Less than 4 year old refrigerator died on 5/24. Took FOREVER to get techs to take the situation seriously and get repair tech scheduled. After 2 failed attempts, an independent non-LG tech finally diagnosed compressor failure. LG phone techs may be trained to downplay the situation, because the repair tech said he diagnoses 5 and replaces at least 3 of these a day. They cannot keep up with the work and LG wont hire more repairmen. Took another 5 days for parts to arrive and then schedule a repair day. Meanwhile I am living with NO FRIDGE and now LG says they will NOT reimburse me for the mini fridge we had to buy (not to mention all the bagged ice Ive had to purchase too!) The best we can do is send you a check for $100 for food reimbursement. I spent $1500 on a refrigerator from you and thats the best you can do???Compressor was finally replaced today and repairman said, I dont trust the new compressor either, so dont put any food in it for at least 48 hours till youre sure its operating correctly. Yikes. This has been such a disillusioning experience, I have praised LG products to anyone asking for recommendations, but I will not anymore due to the TERRIBLE customer service I received!! Refrigerators, and appliances in general, are designed these days to break and NOT be repaired. If thats the case, then the price should reflect a disposable product, not the thousands they do cost. LG is not standing behind their product, but rather hiding behind untrained techs who speak so politely, yet do not disseminate truthful information to frustrated customers looking for help from the company they trusted with their hard-earned money. You have lost a long-time loyal customer with many LG products in our home, shame on you...
So very angry with LG refrigerator, we had bought our fridge exactly 2 years ago and all of a sudden it stop cooling. We have called LG numerous times and all they say is, We will send someone out to fix it. Well we wait for these repair companies to come and when the day gets here they reschedule. So we lost a full days of work waiting on these guys. This happened four times that they reschedule. So we call LG and they just give you the runaround. We have been out of a Refrigerator for going on 2 months. We finally got fed up and requested a new fridge. We spent 1600 dollars on this fridge and for it to go out in 2 years. I have an old fridge out back that has been working longer than I have been alive. DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR. They will not help you whatsoever.
This fancy 3 door fridge refrigerators bought at Lowes in New Orleans on June 6, 2013 has been a nightmare since I bought it. A week in my home and the ice maker stopped making ice. Repairman replaced the ice maker. Ice tends to stick together. Recent problem is the LOUD clicking noise when the ice maker is turned on off. Customer Service somewhere overseas said this noise is normal because of wear and tear. I explained to the man that using the thing 8 times in one year is NOT wear and tear. He said it is. I put the phone next to the ice maker for him to hear the clicking noise. My son who bought the same fridge on the same date last year does not have this problem. Very kindly he said they are going to send the repair man but I have to pay for it. Unnecessary to tell you the long and stressful conversation with this man. Apparently I am wrong and LG is correct. I said to this man, after he said our conversation was being taped, that it was great news he was taping our conversation because I would on line and make sure the entire world LG knows about the lousy customer service, confirmed again by the guy at Home Depot when I went there on Monday to buy a new dishwasher. Obviously there are two brands of DW I dont buy: Bosch and LG.This man overseas said he would send the repair man and I insisted, make sure I dont have to pay for it because I am still under warranty. If this man tells me I have before the work begins, I would let him go and contact you again. LG can spend millions on Dollars in TV commercials, they fail to realize and accept that the best advertisement is by -word of mouth-. I am extremely unhappy with this fridge. The left side is cooler than the right side. No veggies can go on the left side as it freezes them. My suggestion: move over to another manufacturer.

I love my new refrigerator. I love how it has two doors for the refrigerator and it has a bottom drawer for the freezer with an extra drawer in the freezer. Plus I love the fact that it is stainless steel. The only thing I can think of changing would be for it to be a little taller but besides that its great. Plus it has an ice maker which I really love because I can do all kinds of stuff. We almost bought a Samsung but heard that there were problems and it was hard to get serviced so we decided on the LG because we have not had any problems with it.
Top load washing machine wt1201c - This washing machine I thought would be great. It turns out that the clothes would be self-balanced. It work for while but now I have to constantly watch it and rearrange the clothes throughout the washing process. What a pain! It takes hours to wash one load. It appears that the tub is detached from the washer and it vibrates so much and makes so much noise it is unbearable. I dislike this washer so much and I will never purchase an LG product again.
My wife and I had high opinion of LG before we purchased our home appliances including refrigerator, oven and washers from LG. Their product is very unreliable and breaks often and service is very poor and customer agents care less! We are very disappointed with the refrigerator that is a year old and compressor has gone out but repair takes weeks to schedule and to get the necessary parts to fix the issue. We do not recommend LG to anyone and wish we never purchased their products.
LG Refrigerator LFX31925ST/00 - Well 4 years after the first time the cooling fan went out of service, it decided to quit again. Again another 7-10 days waiting on the part! The repairman told me this part is so high in demand they cannot keep them stocked. I guess you need a spare refrigerator for all your food when you own an LG? Somewhere to keep it cold so it does not spoil. The cost of food replacement is not cheap. This being the second time we decided to buy a new one other than LG!
I purchased an LG computerized washer from Home Depot that has a big label that says 10 years, which is no guarantee of anything. The washer worked 3 years and the $450 power supply went out. No more computerized washers for me. They are pretty, but I will take the simple old models with knobs and mechanical parts without the fancy very expensive to repair computer parts from now on. My washer before it lasted over ten years. My expensive LG is in my shed. I cannot bear to put on the curb something I paid that much for. I now have a used washer that I paid $100 for the washer/dryer pair that work just fine. They are Roper models. I only recommend the LG gamble to people who have more money than they need and money to throw away.
LG has the worst customer service. I just got told by one of their supervisors that it isnt her problem. We paid almost 1800.00 for a side by side (model #LFC25765st100) less than 3 years ago and now we have spent $230.37 to have it fixed and it still does not work. After over 3 weeks without a refrigerator to be treated like dirt by their customer service department isnt sitting well with me. They told us we had to use one of their factory authorized repair companies but when I was speaking to the supervisor she told me that was a lie and I could use whoever I wanted with their approval. They lied about 12 times to me in total and will do nothing to fix my refrigerator except charge me another $400.00. I will be spending half of what the refrigerator cost and it is only 3 years old. I thought LG was a good product but I will never buy another and everyone I know will be told to stay away from them.

I bought an LG large capacity washer and dryer 6 years ago. I paid over $1600 for the pair at Home Depot. There are only 3 in my family so I dont have a lot of laundry like some larger families do. Just recently, my washer had a smell like something was on fire and making a banging noise. I called the LG repair service and a rep came out to take a look. He told me that the bearings were wearing out on the tub and to fix it, they would have to change the whole tub for about $450. Seriously! They just dont make products like they used to. I will never buy an LG product again.
Oven window shattered on first time self clean use. Since oven is brand-new this is bad in and of itself. Dangerous! Technician has not been out yet. Will post update. Telephone scheduler warned us that, although we are in warranty period, if we ignored error messages, or misused oven, we may be liable for cost of new door! What? Are they sending out ovens so dangerous that you have to be credentialed to use them?
So much better than my last washer. Loads easier. Gets clothes cleaner. And is quiet. Love that you can add water to the wash. Love deep wash and the various settings. It offers total customization to each wash. Don‚€ôt care about WI-FI but I guess it can be useful.
We bought a LG washer in 2009 and thank goodness we purchased the extended warranty. We have had so many problems and it has required numerous expensive repairs. In the first year under LGs warranty we knew it was a lemon. After four years of replacing numerous parts it is deemed irreparable. Our service person from the warranty company called LG and gave us a number to hopefully replace it. After six weeks of working with them we were given two reference numbers and felt confident that the problem was being solved and they had our initial sales receipt. We found out we have been working with a call center in the Philippines from a LG representative in Alabama. When I asked why they have indicated to us things were progressing he said you are dealing with people in the Philippines and they are going to tell you want you want to hear.In the end, I was told our washer had gone for final review and we would be contacted in 10 to 12 business days about its possible replacement since it is irreparable. When I called to find out why I had not heard back, I was given the run around again. It was only when I insisted several times on talking corporate that I learned we would have to go through the extended warranty company which was not the information we received at first. So for over six weeks we believed LG was handling this professionally only to find we had been given the run around and dealing with people who really did not understand what they were doing. I am very concerned about this kind of professionalism and why we werent told after numerous calls and all the information they had that they were not going to replace our washer. So if you have problems beware that even though you feel reassured the problem is being dealt with, it might not be. So why did they lead us on for five weeks and numerous phone calls? They could have told us initially we were on the wrong path.
I purchased an LG Refrigerator LFX25961AL back in August of 2010. The refrigerator just stopped working on October 26th, 2013. The light remained on inside of the refrigerator and it failed to cool the food inside. I also noticed that the refrigerator was running much louder than usual. The ice inside of the ice maker began to melt and later that evening, the refrigerator had completely stopped working. All the items that I had inside the refrigerator and freezer have spoiled. I called the company concerning the warranty that I purchased along with the refrigerator and they told me that they could come out on Tuesday with no guarantee of the repairs being covered under the warranty. I have a refrigerator full of spoiled food and I am quite upset. Ive only had the product for three years. When you pay thousands of dollars for a product is this acceptable? I understand that things happen but this product should be fine for at least five years. I find this unacceptable. I began to search the internet for answers and I see that many of the customers who bought this product are having the same problem. I wish I could return this faulty product. I will never purchase anything from LG again. Buyers Beware.
It takes me hours to wash a load of clothes, because it keeps stopping blinking unbalanced, it does this whether there is a full load, just one thing or cleaning. The washer will get down to 2 or 3 minutes left in the cycle then completely reset itself back to the beginning of the cycle and start all over again. Took me 6 hours to wash 5 towels the other day, finally had to stop the washer hand wring out my towels, just to get the load done so I could wash more clothes. My towels have never smelt as bad as they do since I got this washer 3 years ago. Hate this, I have 7 people in my house I cannot wait hours to wash one load of clothes.

First he objected that why I am using degree C instead of degree F, then he advised me that my freezer temp should be -18 C instead of -17 C. He did not check inside fridge temp with any thermometer. When I told LG, they said he has experience. Shame on LG customer service. How much doctor has experience, but still they check every patients temp with thermometer.

DID not show fingerprints - during a brown out of our electric service in a storm this unit continued to run. I never lost any food while all my neighbors lost hundreds of dollars of refrigerated and frozen food. Great unit and wish I had moved it with me when I left NJ.
One year and one day after we purchased this LG dishwasher LDF7810BB at Home Depot, the motor went out. Sorry! Its out of warranty. We traveled extensively during that one year and there were only two people in the house, so it was being used approx. every other day max, bringing it to maybe 100 wash cycles at the most and the motor went out? Home Depot could do nothing. LG corporate in Huntsville, AL would not even give a discount on the new motor which cost (back in 2008) around $275 plus labor. It still doesnt clean properly and Ive done all the maintenance they recommend. We even have a water softener system so it isnt the water. Ill never buy another LG product and I warn everyone who will listen (even strangers in Home Depot) not to buy LG products. Ill be happy to hear they are out of business.
This is strictly a review. I purchased this washer (LG Washer WT110CW) as to the high standard that Consumer Reports gave it. I hate it. Your standard wash cycle is 57 minutes. There is a load for bulky, whites, etc. but some have a cycle up to 113 minutes. They do have a quick load of 35 minutes, but thats the least. Then it spins to the point of almost drying and your clothes by then are so wrinkled, that the dryer will not take them out and now I have to iron these items. It was over $600 with tax, so I just cant go buy another one. Way too much computerized options that take forever. I want my Kenmore back that gave me very little problems and a load was done in 30 minutes (no matter what it was).
We purchased this LG French Door Refrigerator model LFXS29626 November 5,2015 from Home Depot, noticed the ice cream and pizzas were not staying frozen, later unit not making ice. Called LG customer support line, which is totally a waste of time, since the first call out of the three millions thereafter, I still have a non working refrigerator. No service center wants to work on LG products, the most recorded reason is LG never wants to sent the part and if by some miracle they do it had taken months to receive. I have never experienced this kind of customer service on anything I have ever purchased nor have I ever wrote a review. I would hope no one has to experience the frustration that we have with this unit. I would never even think of purchasing an LG product ever.
We had a few problems with the LG fridge. It had a recall the first month we got it and then we kept having problems with the back of the freezer. It kept freezing so they had to come take it apart and defrost the back. We had it about 5 years and all the plastic parts were breaking.

Purchased washer in October. Has leaked since day one. Have tried to get it repaired or replaced numerous times and it still has not been done! No one wants to have water running on their floor every time they do the laundry. I purchased this washer from Lowes but was told to contact LG for service. Someone needs to step up to the plate to fix this issue!

LG double oven - Both ovens burn everything in the back of the oven while the front of the baking toward the door is still white. This also happens on convection. I have had it fixed 4 times. Once by the LG rep and 3 times by the Geek squad. Baking is awful. Nothing comes out right.
Was the best deal available at the time and was highly recommended by salesman. Love the brand and would buy again as it has many features you dont necessarily get elsewhere. Highly reliable products. I like the ice maker and filtered water system. Also like that I can move the shelves around to maximize and customize the space in the refrigerator. I also like the meat drawer and produce drawers. They are spacious enough to hold adequate products. But the freezer is too small, would like less shelving etc to give more space; maybe move the freezer to the bottom instead of side by side if it could be configured correctly and I could see and retrieve product easily.
I purchased my LG front load washer 2 and 1/2 years ago from Home Depot. I did not purchase the extended warranty as I feel that if it is a good product, I should not have to. The motor is out of it already and it will cost me half of what I originally paid for the washer to have it repaired. I am very dissatisfied and would not recommend this product to anyone.
After 3 years needed minor repair. LG wouldn‚€ôt sell me the part. Had to pay LG repair guy to do a job I could easily do. Very annoying. After 5 years door seal went. Called. They said weld broke on drum. $800 for parts not worth fixing. Single man after 5 years. The quality of consumer products today is so low I feel like a fool recycling my pop tins and putting my washer in a landfill after 5 years. Stop building throwaway products would be a far better way of recycling. Get rid of all the people that say no profit in that.

I have an LG front load washer that keeps leaving black/gray marks on white clothing. After repeated calls to Sears and service calls, they tell me that the only problem is soap residue and I must clean the washer once a month with the special cleaner. I do that and use the recommended amount of detergent to wash the clothes and still, they come out with black and gray streaks. These streaks and marks do not wash out and it seems that if it was soap residue, it would wash out after repeated washing. I have ruined many good articles of clothing because of this and when I can afford it, the washer will be heading to the scrap heap!
I have an LG French Door Refrigerator LFC25760SB with bottom drawer freezer. Today we discovered that the 2 light bulbs have been staying on even though the doors are closed and the plastic enclosure was extremely hot - both light bulbs blew out at the same time. Now I have read all about this and find out this has been going on in these refrigerators for years and a class action suit was filed and has been settled and closed. Yet we have never had a recall notice or a notice of the lawsuit even though I registered our purchase with LG - so we have no recourse and are stuck with a $1,700 refrigerator with no light inside - not to mention we had to have new tracks put in the freezer door in the first month we owned it and the door still doesnt go in and out smoothly. I would never buy an LG product again - they are complete junk!! And companies will do nothing for you!!
All my appliances are from LG like the microwave, washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. Everything was okay so I picked an LG refrigerator too. The experience with the product was good until it started to get some problem. The insurance company refunded the money for the refrigerator but I was without a refrigerator in my house for over a month. After this experience, I should get a Samsung because I dont wanna get another problem like that.
I bought an LG dishwasher 2 1/2 years ago and it never cleaned dishes well at all. It started leaking water. I have not used it for over 2 years. This is the biggest piece of $800 junk I could have bought. I would never buy another LG product nor would I recommend this product to anybody.

El t√©cnico de reparaci√≥n tard√≥ 45 minutos en desmontar mi cocina y probar cada componente. No pudo determinar lo que estaba mal con la estufa en este punto. I bought a HE LG top loading washer and it just does not get my clothes clean. I work construction and my knees get dirty. My old sears kenmore always got my jeans clean. This new expensive HE machine is a piece of crap. Do not buy one!!!!
I purchased an LG refrigerator From Lowe‚€ôs on September 13, 2017. I even purchased the extended warranty. With that said I am unable to get ANY assistance!! My refrigerator broke, for the second time, on June 27, 2019. I was instructed to call the service contractor per my warranty. They sent a repair person out BUT for the compressor to be repaired, I would have to wait 4 weeks... No offer of sending me a replacement to use only rent something and you will be reimbursed. I sent a letter to the local LG rep for guidance and support but he never responded. Long story short, the repair person came yesterday and said ‚€úI did the best I could but they need to replace your refrigerator!‚€Ě He said it would take a couple of hours to cool but it never did. I am beyond unhappy! To make matters worse I called the 24 hour customer service number and they hung up and I have not been able to get through again. Invoice # **. Store # 0532. Model # LMXC23796S. Warranty # **. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE!!! I paid over $3000 for a product that does not work and I am unable to get assistance!
Our first year under warranty, had three repairs. Now, in our second year, not under warranty. We have a repair that will probably exceed $400.00. Our recommendation, do not have LG washers in your possession, even if given to you for free.
We just bought this machine 2 years ago and it cost us almost $2K. Recently, it has been nothing but a headache. Keeps giving us an error message. After calling LG over & over, all we are told is to run washer cleaner through it, which weve done a million times. Still not working. LG finally said theyd contact an appliance repair and send out a rep (at a cost of at least $280 to us...thanks, LG!) and gave us a date and time window. No one showed. LG never set it up. Im beyond unhappy. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER buy another LG product. Their customer service is absolutely horrible and their slogan of Lifes Good is a JOKE. Life is only good if you do NOT own any LG products!!! Please, for the love of all things, just DONT buy LG.
Bought an LG suite of appliances for the kitchen remodel. Every piece except the microwave has had to be serviced right after the warranty expired. The dishwasher drain stopped functioning, the freezer drawer would not stay on the tracks, and the oven‚€ôs control panel got super hot when baking and after a couple of calls to troubleshoot that never fixed it, I tried to run a self-clean and the control panel got so hot it fried the oven completely and it went black and stayed locked. Been waiting two weeks for extended warranty to send out a repair guy. A couple of boxes of parts was mailed to me but still no idea when the repair will take place. Two weeks and counting with no stove/oven is terrible!
Worst product, worst customer service Ever!! Will never buy again. My fridge is 3 years old. Over one week ago I woke up to water on our wood floor and our fridge all of a sudden no longer working. We called LG immediately to get it repaired and we were told that the first available appointment was over one week away. We scheduled it. I then went out and bought a brand new fridge so that my family can eat. We had to throw away a ton of food that we actually just bought the night before. Everything in our fridge was ruined. We spent the next week eating out of a mini fridge and eating out. Finally our repair date came and the REAPAIRMAN NEVER SHOWED UP! We were left again calling LG and getting no response because they were closed and have no after hours call center. I had to wake up the next morning at 6am to get on the phone to track down why my service did not take place and get so frustrated so that the repair service sent their best technician to smooth things over for LG. After multiple calls, all you get is a call center where NO ONE knows any information at all. They have to escalate through a portal to have someone call you back. I am still without a fridge. I leave on vacation tomorrow and nothing has been resolved because the technician could not fix our fridge, because the motherboard is broken on it. 3 years old! The compressor - BROKEN! The Freon - BROKEN!! A FILTER - BROKEN!!!. THE MOTHERBOARD - BROKEN. I asked the tech why, and he said LG is a BAD company, they always break. Now we have to wait for another shipment to arrive because LG couldnt get their act together in the first place. I have missed multiple days of work, purchased a new fridge. Lost hundreds and hundreds of dollars in food and condiments and purchases from around the world we had in our fridge. I am so pissed and frustrated that I cannot contain it and my head is exploding. I was told by a supervisor that my complaint was not able to processed because the tech didnt write it in the notes properly and that LG has policies. And all she kept on saying was, I understand!! DO you understand???? Do you come home every night to a fridge that is broken in your kitchen? Did you throw out trash bag after trash bag of food because your fridge suddenly stopped working? Did you miss multiple days of work so that you can sit at your house waiting for a repairman to come and never show up?? Did you go by a second fridge for your home? You understand how frustrating it is to sit on the phone for hours and repeat your story to new customer service rep who has NO POWER to do anything and then tell you at the end of it, I will escalate your request and I understand. You dont understand! LG is a terrible company, a terrible product with terrible follow through. I am still waiting for someone with authority to call me back and handle this properly and have some answers for me!! Do yourself a favor a never get an LG product. If I could rate you as a negative, I most definitely would!!!

I am dissatisfied with my LG top load washer. It is only 3 yrs old and constantly giving UE and UE error code especially on special wash cycles. I had an appliance tech over and paid the $50.00 service charge and they are pointing to the computer and possibly the stator or both. I am scheduled to have an Authorized LG Repair company next week analyze the problem. This visit will cost $75.00 and it can be applied to the total repair. This is not an isolated problem and I am sure LG is aware of it and they dont care! There is a class action lawsuit against LG for certain models with the same problem but mine is not included. What? Give me a damn break LG. Do you know that you have lost me a future customer and I am now warning others to stay away from your washers! I will let you know if I am going to get it fixed or junk it later.
Run away any LG products as your appliance. Horrible idea. Purchased this refrigerator (LG LSXS26326S) February 2016, not even two years old. The ice maker had gone out, no error code. THEN, the entire unit stopped being cold, again - no error code. Have lost everything in both compartments, and been advised from other techs, Good luck. Have called the wonderful customer service now 8 times, and keep getting bounced back and forth between Warranty and Customer Service.Ran the app for the LG fridge that does the sound to diagnose the issue, nothing is wrong with the fridge per the LG app. THEIR OWN PRODUCT IS BEING DIAGNOSED AS NO ISSUES BY THEM! (Yes, the door has to be open to use this app, but thats it). Was told that the unit is still under parts warranty... However by the time a service call will be had, someone out, we are fully expecting multiple calls and nothing to be resolved. Issue is the only LG authorized repair tech is 3-4 weeks out, for there are only TWO (2) in the entire state.Had another tech come out and was told the issue is the sealed system. Everything looks fine, no codes, just not working. This unit is garbage and was, still available with Lowes & Home Depot, for $1400. Dont waste your money on LG. Like every other consumer on this thread, avoid LG. Am now back on hold with customer service for was disconnected when they transferred me from Warranty to Customer Service. Never, ever again.
Already happened three times. Lots of food lost. I will never purchase an LG product again. The evaporator (the thingy with lots of coils and fins, which is responsible for transferring the coldness from the compressed gas to the surrounding air inside the fridge/freezer) ices up. The evaporator defrost heater is working, yet it does not defrost all the ice, allowing for lots of ice buildup. Apparently LG has issue with the timer controlling the defrost cycle. But the bottom line is that when ice builds up on the evaporator fins, no cooling can be done and the food spoils.To fix the issue you have to take the entire fridge (shelves rails, drawers) and freezer (door, rails, ice maker) apart to gain access to the back covers, remove the back covers and manually defrost using a hair drier to remove all the ice build up. I am now an expert in doing this, and it only takes about half a day. But all the food is already spoiled since there is no warning that the fridge and/or freezer stopped working. :-(Apparently this is a common issue with LG, not only this specific model. Other people also have issues with the drain tube freezing up (the drain tube is supposed to drain the water which the evaporator defrost heater thaws. This cause water to overflow and build at bottom of fridge and/or freezer and leak onto the floor, damaging the floor. Some people jury rigged an copper wire extension from the defrost heater into the drain hole to transfer heat from the heater into the drain hole. LG is aware of these issues and has done nothing to address them.Three recommendations for LG: 1- Engineer a better way to detect that there is ice building up and/or make sure that the defrosting cycle is long and/or frequent enough to defrost the evaporator coils and fins. 2- Have an ALARM whenever the temp inside the fridge and/or the freezer is above the set temperature, to warn against spoiling food.3- LG should engineer something to ensure that the drain holed does not ice up. (a heat transfer copper wire as above or a separate heating element around the drain tube).Even if they do listen, I will never purchase an LG product again. -Avi
After over 25 minutes on the phone I found out the service call for LG Service Repair will be $338.00 for parts and home visit. All I needed was a less than $5.00 French Door spring replaced and I know the repair would have taken less than 5 minutes. This is VERY expensive. So we ordered part from another retailer and will do it ourselves. This is over the top expensive. Love my LG appliances but not the cost of a service call. This is OUTRAGEOUS. Hope LG reads this!

This is the worst appliance purchase I have made. Most loads show as unbalanced to which the washer responds by refilling the tub with water. It is almost impossible to meet the machines balance requirements. The constant refilling makes the machine a little less than high efficiency. The companys position that you need to wash things of similar weight in a load is ridiculous. I would have to wait until every piece of clothing I own needed washing before I could meet that requirement. A typical load takes 2+ hours to complete which includes multiple attempts to rebalance the clothes. I would recommend that you look elsewhere. I cannot fathom why there are so many positive reviews for this giant POS. (Model WT1101CW)
My LG top loading washing machine (WT5101H) is 7 years old and it has never performed well, even after a recall fix. And now, the drum is sitting on the floor under the machine. I live south of Atlanta and there is only one service technician and he is over an hour away. Having one qualified service tech for the entire Atlanta area is absurd! My dishwasher broke down after 5 years - the heating element went out and started leaking water. The ice machine on the refrigerator has failed several times. I spent close to $5000 on these LG appliances and Im so disappointed. Never again.
I have only owned it for two years but Im very happy... it was a gift so I did not have an opportunity to shop for it. But I believe in the integrity of the LG brand over some of the other offerings. I have been happy with the design of the stainless steel unit and how it blends in to my kitchen with other stainless steel appliances. I enjoyed the design of the refrigerator freezer and its many compliments. The deli drawer perfect for small items like yogurt containers and cheese and deli. Had to rearrange the shelving to allow for taller items like milk, juice, ice tea etc. though. I would also improve the freezer compartments with additional shelving.
I have the same experience with my machine. Just after 1 yr, the washer will spin & refill for hours repeating the same cycles. The machine starts at 57 min. wash 9 normal load, cottons) but after an hour is still spinning, draining & refilling. The first time I noticed this, it was spinning for over 3 hrs. until I stopped it. Not only that, the clothes come out about as dirty as they went in. The machine is a huge disappointment.
I purchased a top of the line three thousand dollar plus refrigerator in February 2014. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. All of the lights work and all of the lights, indicator lights on the door panel work as well. I was away for the day and arrived home late in the evening so I did not go into or look at the refrigerator. The following morning, I noticed water dripping from the water and ice dispenser only to realize that everything in the refrigerator and the freezer defrosted and reach temperatures causing everything to spoil. I immediately contacted LG and they ran an over the phone diagnostic only to tell me that the unit was not operating properly. I could have told them that.When I said that I live in Arizona in a rural area and need emergency assistance, they stated they could not get anyone out to be for the next 4 to 5 days. How am I supposed to live without a refrigerator? They also told me that they hold no responsibility for all of the ruined food. This unit is still under warranty but that does help my situation as their commitment to service in unacceptable. When I went to purchase this top of the line unit, I was told by some folks not to buy an LG refrigerator as two separate folks stated they own LG fridge and have had nothing but problems. When I researched the reviews on this fridge, it received high marks. Taking that into consideration and the fact that the two folks who had problems with their units had them for over two years, I figured that LG made the necessary improvements to their refrigerator so I went ahead with the purchase. In summary: I will never again buy any LG product. I will never recommend an LG product and I will inform whom ever I know to stay away from LG no matter what the reviews state as I am not confident that they are authentic.
We purchased our LG side-by-side refrigerator four years ago. From the start, we have problems with the ice maker auger door frame rusting and paint peeling off after three years. I have the four years warranty which will expires October of 2014. I called LG extended warranty department at 1-877-843-3777. They said my refrigerators rusting and paint peeling off is cosmetic and its not cover by their warranty. I told them I would called BBB and Angies List and I would call my lawyer. They did not care less. They have very bad customer business relationship. I called Home Depot where I bought my frig. They are willing to reimbursed me for almost $600 the cost of door replacement. I recommend not to buy any LG products.
My 5 year old refrigerator suddenly stopped working. A technician came out the next day and determined the compressor had failed. I was shocked because compressors typically can last over 20 years. After doing some research I come to find out that this is a widespread problem with LG and possibly some other brands that use this Linear type compressor. LG knows about the problem, and continues selling this product. To make matters worse, they are or have been installing the same type compressor as a replacement which will likely fail again in a short time.LG - listen this is no picnic when you lose hundreds of dollars of food. I spent over $3,000 for what I was led to believe to be a top quality refrigerator. Though the compressor is under warranty, LG said the labor is not because its 5 years and a few weeks, are you kidding? I am not pleased to have to shell out $550 in labor on top of the cost of the lost food. If this is how you treat your customers, you can rest assure LG will not be my appliance brand of choice.
LG front load washer (WM0642HW) - The washer vibrates horribly when in the spin cycles! Our whole house shakes! You can hear the vibration outside the home! The floor vibrates when washer is in spin cycle! We have bought several different kinds/brands of shock-absorbers and installed them under each leg of the washer. Still no help! This is obviously a manufacturing defect. We called LG and they sent a certified LG appliance repair man to our home. All he would tell us was: LG makes a great product and use less than half the recommended amount of detergent to control the ‚€ėsmell‚€ô.‚€Ě This is my second contact to you. Do you have other complaints against LG for this same problem? LG should replace my unit. I am willing to trade down just to get rid of this vibration! I have matching dryer. Together, these appliances were $1900.00!
LG French Door refrigerator - I hope this review will provide you with enough information to stay FAR AWAY from LG. I purchased this refrigerator in May, 2013. In early September 2017 the compressor died. Until LG determined that there was NO qualified installer in the Phoenix area, they made a one time arrangement with an independent contractor to install the new compressor. Five weeks later the replacement died and we have been arguing with LG customer service to have a new compressor installed.This has been going on for about a week. Two weeks ago I had knee replacement surgery and I am to ice it quite frequently. It take a freezer to do that. My wife has to keep going to the market to buy ice for me. LG does not give a damn about anything. They will offer no compensation for food lost, we asked LG to replace the refrigerator and they just laughed it off. As of today we still do not know when this will be repaired. What a disgrace!
I purchased this black refrigerator in Aug 2012 from Home Depot, Nashua NH. I noticed (especially the last year or so) that on the outside door, under the control panel/water & ice dispenser, that there was leakage of what seemed to be rust-colored liquid (?water). This has corroded the surface under the control panel & dispenser. I wrote to LG twice, knowing it was no longer under warranty, asking what I could do to repair this or what seemed to be causing this. The response from LG is below:As much as I want to help you regarding this issue, I wont be able to. Manufacturers warranty is designed to take good care of any failures in the early life of the unit. Aside from the one year warranty, there are also parts thats covered for 7-10 years like the Sealed System. After this will be expired, you would be responsible for any repair or replacement part for the unit that is not cover under warranty. If the unit was purchased 2012, this is already out of warranty. I apologize however we will not be able to cover the issue on the control panel. I wish I had a more favorable answer. But we thank you for letting us know your concern.
Purchased our LG French Door refrigerator about three years ago. At first we thought it was a great product. We loved the interior lighting and space. We quickly learned that the ice maker could not provide enough ice for just my wife and I. God forbid we got company. We constantly found ourselves having to purchase ice. About a year ago, we noticed that our refrigerator was rusting under the ice and water dispenser. I couldnt believe it!! Ive had dozens of refrigerators over the years and Ive never seen one rust like this. Its extremely unsightly and although the refrigerator works okay, were replacing it because it looks so bad. I called LG customer service (what a joke!). Their stance is that they are NOT responsible for what they call cosmetic damage because it does not affect the performance of the refrigerator. I pointed out to them that my car which sits in my driveway is much older than my refrigerator and it has no rust at all but they simply dont care. I will purchase another refrigerator but I will NEVER again buy anything that has the name LG attached to it.
I purchased an LG refrigerator LMXS30796B at Lowes in October 2017 and the compressor went out on February 25, 2019, sixteen months later. I am thankful I purchased the extended warranty from Lowes. The labor quote to replace the compressor was $950.00 and I still needed to have the part sent from the factory. With the warranty all is covered. LG needs to find a solution to the compressor issue.
