Compramos el francés para el frigorífico LG hace 2-3 años y ayer dejó de enfriar. Llamamos al servicio técnico de LG. La señora fue amable y nos dijo que probáramos esto y aquello, pero nada funcionó. Luego me dio un número de teléfono para llamar al servicio local, con todos los costes pagados por el cliente. No es bueno que un aparato tan grande funcione sólo durante 2-3 años. De todos modos, llamé al servicio local. La parada por sí misma es de 100 dólares, y el coste estimado de la reparación (el problema del compresor... está frío cuando está enchufado) es de 650 dólares. Parece que este es un problema muy común con esta máquina LG. ¿Puede LG hacer algo al respecto?

La peor compañía con diferencia. Compramos un frigorífico LG hace 2 años por valor de más de 3500 dólares y el frigorífico se estropeó hace más de una semana. Me puse en contacto con ellos. Me vendieron la tarifa plana que cubre piezas y mano de obra. El reparador vino el lunes. Pensé que era bastante bueno hasta que rompió el frigorífico tras la reparación y me dijo que no podía hacer nada, pero me dijo: No te preocupes. Has elegido la tarifa plana. Una semana más tarde nadie se puso en contacto conmigo. Tuve que llamarlos yo mismo. Toda esa espera para que me digan que me van a dar 800 dólares para un nuevo frigorífico LG. Es una broma. Enviaron a alguien a arreglar mi frigorífico, lo rompieron tras la reparación y ahora soy yo la que no tiene frigorífico. Simplemente no les importa. I purchased an LG just under 3 years ago. At the end of May 2014, the freezer stopped working. On June 2nd, I had an LG certified company come out to repair it. As it turned out the heating element at the bottom of the freezer melted the plastic back panel on the inside. THEREIN is where all the torment has ensued!!!! They would have to ORDER the panel and as of Today August 11th, 2014 even after contacting LG directly, I still DO NOT have a panel or a fridge that works. IT CONTINUES TO BE ON BACK ORDER and LG did not know if they could help me unless I purchased the fridge from an AUTHORIZED DEALER, who cares where I purchased the fridge? I paid for it, it is THEIR product. If Im willing to pay to get the 65.00 part who cares where I purchased the fridge? LG has been of NO help whatsoever!!!!!! I cant believe it truly matters where an item is purchased. IT is their product and they should care about taking care of the customer... Maybe because I work in retail and I believe in taking care of the customer. I expect the same treatment when I myself am the paying customer... Dont you agree?????

Can someone tell me why the clothes after they are washed are not clean. I have had this machine for less than 2 weeks and not happy with how clothes come out still dirty. I bought an LG Refrigerator in 5/2011. Three months out of warranty and I spent $533.00 today to fix 3 parts. Now fridges are supposed to last 10-12 years. There€s only one person in the house so it is not abused. I called and of course outsourcing. I spoke to the executive complaint department. If I didnt have the repairman fixing it, they would consider possibly helping out. Since my repairman was repairing the flawed parts, and the refrigerator was warm, how much longer should I wait for their technician to come out? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against LG since so many people have complaints about their product. The parts are cheap, they break. This wasnt a couple of dollars to just throw away but with the repair cost, should I have bought another refrigerator? What is going to go next?

Well fast forward to Feb 2018, the ** is not working AGAIN!!! Surprised, surprised. It€s gonna cost me another $375 for them to come out to see what€s wrong with it AGAIN! Compramos la lavadora LG WT1701C y la secadora a juego para una nueva casa. Empecé a notar que la ropa no quedaba limpia, incluso en la posición caliente. Palpé el agua, y en la posición caliente, el agua estaba apenas tibia. Un técnico de servicio vino a verlo y me informó de que la mayoría de las nuevas marcas de lavadoras tienen una temperatura máxima de 100 grados. Me sorprendió descubrir esto. Me informó de que si se selecciona un ciclo de lavado diferente al normal, como el de blancos brillantes o el de desinfección, el agua estará más caliente, pero la duración de esos ciclos es mayor. Aunque vi que no tenía agitador central, supuse que la acción de la lavadora sería similar a la de los antiguos agitadores. Pero he visto cargas de ropa que se agitan de un lado a otro pero a veces la ropa de arriba no llega a la cubeta que hace el lavado. La agitación no parece ser muy fuerte. Si usted es más bajo que 5 6, necesitará un taburete para alcanzar el fondo de la bañera. Y tenga cuidado con pulsar los botones sin querer una vez que la carga haya empezado. Al meter la mano en la lavadora, pulsé sin querer un botón que cambiaba la configuración. No pude volver atrás ni reanudar la carga y tuve que empezar de nuevo. La secadora parece funcionar bien hasta ahora. Aunque es un conjunto de aspecto agradable, no lo compraría de nuevo. Ya estamos a 30 de octubre y la máquina no se puede reparar porque no hay piezas disponibles. Hemos presentado nuestra queja en numerosas ocasiones a través de la página web de LG para recibir una llamada de vuelta en 24 horas, como afirma la página web. No hemos recibido ninguna llamada. Fuimos a Pacific Sales en Best Buy para que nos ayudaran. El representante habló con el servicio de atención al cliente de LG y dijo que recibiríamos una llamada de LG. Eso nunca sucedió. Después de varios intentos fallidos para obtener ayuda hablamos con Brenda en ext ** en Alabama. Dijo que investigaría nuestra queja y que nos llamaría en un plazo de 24 a 48 horas. El 17 de octubre, hablé con Wendy porque Brenda no estaba disponible para saber que las piezas estarían en el almacén mañana. Sugerimos que tal vez había alguien en la empresa que podía programar una cita con más de una semana de antelación. La representante dijo que vería lo que podía hacer y nos devolvería la llamada. Esa llamada no se ha producido. Así que dos meses tratando con LG para reparar una costosa avería de la máquina sigue sin resolverse. Nunca volveremos a comprar un producto LG. ¡Eviten LG si es posible!

El técnico nos dijo que estos lavavajillas son conocidos por los paneles de control malos, porque se mojan... ¿Qué? Es un lavavajillas, por supuesto que se moja. Aquí estamos de nuevo con menos de 2 años y no se enciende de nuevo, obviamente otro panel de control. Estamos fuera de garantía y no tenemos suerte. Horrible.

Updated on 05/10/2019: Where do I start! First of all, I stand behind my comment to stay away from LG! I have my 1st replacement compressor after 3 service calls and guess what?? It DOESNT WORK!! Keep in mind it has taken over 3 weeks to get this far with a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old! Id like to say that I am surprised! 48 hrs after the repair with a bottle of water in the refrigerator and a bottle in the freezer, neither are cold let alone frozen. LGs response was.... What is the temperature of your refrigerator? Are you kidding me? I just told that it wasnt working and that is the response I get?Needless to say I am still waiting to hear what the next steps are because I was told that I dont qualify for a new refrigerator. There is a process that they will not elaborate on that needs to be followed and apparently it starts all over again with what is the temperature of your refrigerator.... WOW!! It is absolutely ridiculous! It should start with... I am so sorry for the issues this is creating and we will put a rush on another replacement compressor and schedule a new service date for the install immediately. Then it should be proceeded by... If we are unable to fix the issue we will STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCT AND REPLACE IT!!! I think they need to take an ethics class and learn how to handle their business. RUN!! STAY AWAY FROM LG REFRIGERATORS!! Personally, I will never buy ANY LG product again.Updated on 04/27/2019: I am on round 2 of trying to get the faulty compressor replaced with a new faulty compressor in my LG refrigerator. Oh yes... I said it!! They know the replacement compressors are faulty and are continuing to install them and forcing people to deal with their unethical business practices!! They were supposed to replace the pathetic compressor on the first appointment but chose to lie to me and schedule a diagnostic first even though I had already agreed to pay for the repairs on the off chance it wasnt the compressor. Thats completely impossible by the way with all of their known compressor issues. The part that makes me extremely angry is the service tech had a new compressor in his truck but was unable to install it unless it was sent by LG specifically for my job or he would not be paid for the repairs.Now I get to sit and wait for an undetermined amount of time until someone in their scheduling department decides to call me back to schedule the next appointment. I even tried to schedule the appointment directly with A & E (who LG uses for repairs) and they cannot help me until LG does their job even though EVERYONE KNOWS that the compressor is bad! This is absolutely the most horrifying thing I have ever heard of and a class action lawsuit could not be more fitting for this type of behavior! I will never buy another LG product and have made it a mission to tell everyone I possibly know how unethical they are and to stay away from their products!! Primero noté que después de enjuagar cuidadosamente todos los residuos de mis platos, seguían estando sucios después de pasarlos por el ciclo de limpieza normal. Luego lavé mis platos y empecé a usar la función de fregado enérgico cada vez y noté que los platos tenían restos de comida o jabón y nunca estaban calientes o secos después de que la lavadora se detuviera. Tengo que prelavar todo lo que meto en ella y limpiar el jabón después aunque use Jet-Dry. Mis platos apenas están calientes cuando termina el ciclo de lavado potente de 2 horas. Llamé al servicio de asistencia de LG y, tras varias preguntas, me di cuenta de que la representante del servicio de atención al cliente estaba repasando una lista de comprobación para solucionar la causa del problema. Me preguntó si había limpiado la unidad siguiendo las instrucciones del manual para asegurarme de que no había restos de comida que obstruyeran (SÍ). Me preguntó si había utilizado el detergente adecuado y si mi lavadora tenía realmente potencia (Sí y sí). Me preguntó si había utilizado la función de fregado potente. Quería saber si mi lavavajillas estaba conectado a mi triturador de basura. Me dijo que tenía que comprobar la línea para asegurarse de que estaba libre, pero me dijo que no había manera de hacer eso aparte de mirar la línea - ¿Realmente? Me dijo que obviamente necesitaba que viniera un técnico por el precio de $85.00 para diagnosticar y probablemente más de $250.00 por las piezas y la mano de obra. También me dijo que no podía hablar con un técnico ni con nadie más que con ella por teléfono. We called the company, and got NO more than an answering machine, leave your message, and well call you back. NOTHING happened. There was NO response from the company. I will NEVER do business with LG again, and am still angry at the lack of concern or even response from the company. LG has shown exactly NO corporate responsibility.

Wow! Before I bought the LG Model WT5101HW in Aug. 2010, I could not find bad reviews on this washing machine. I wish Id investigated further. It is just as noted in other reviews; not enough water in most cycles, not energy efficient (1:09 hr. cycle will take up to 1:55 hr.), water levels will sometimes leave clothes dry and still dirty. Machine has been recalled and fixed by service representative (which took three trips), constantly going UE and adding water, etc. There is no way to shorten a cycle except rinse and spin or spin only. I found the only thing that works reasonably well for cleaning is the Bulky/Bedding cycle. This seems to load the water based on level rather than the weight method. But it always fills it full, so I make sure the loads warrant the extra water used. I am considering biting the bullet on a different washing machine when the extended warranty expires in about ten months. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator a few years ago. Within a few months, all the plastic inside began to crack. It isnt from abuse. Its not from cleaning with harsh chemicals. Every piece of plastic in the top refrigerator is broken - those on the doors and those holding the glass shelves. The freezer drawers are held on the track with duct tape as the freezer inside is all cracked too. The egg holder is completely cracked also. Looks like dry rot. The parts that allow the drawers to pull in and out also fell apart and/or cracked. I am waiting for the plastic holding the bottom glass shelve which goes along the entire width of the fridge to finish cracking so far this one has a hairline crack.I wrote back and forth to LG who did nothing but tell me they would elevate my complaint higher - but I think they meant lower - as into the trash. It has been 4 months since I gave them my serial number to move the complaint along as they said right away. My entire refrigerator is held together with duct tape. Lucky me that duct tape comes in white now. This is a crime that this company gets away with this. There should be a class action lawsuit. I work hard for my money and this is just unacceptable.

When the machine cycles on it will pump water out of the soap drawer at times. Sometimes when it is started and other times when it goes into rinse mode, flooding the drawer below the washing machine and the floor. It took several calls to a person who did not want to send a service tech. He told us it was because we were using a wrong detergent. That is a perfect example of how little he knows about the product. When we finally got a service tech to come out and look at it, the problem did not show up while he was here and he had no idea what was happening. So although he was a very nice person he was not schooled in the product then he was sent out to troubleshoot. There has to be a troubleshoot guide that is developed from other repairs done in the field. My washing machine is not the only one pumping water on the floor. It Cost 89.00 for the service call. My Daughter paid 40.00 the same day to check her Maytag.

Our story starts with a happy purchase of an LG Refrigerator (LGXS24623) at Home Depot in September 2018 that was supposed to arrive in about 6 weeks. It never got to us, we called Home Depot to inquire and they said, €Oh sorry, it€s lost, we€ll see what we can do, it will take another couple of weeks€. Long story short, we received our fancy new fridge. We connected, set it up and after about 4 hours we opened the door and it wasn€t cold. We changed the temperature a bit and waited a bit more, but nothing changed. It was warmer in the fridge than in the kitchen. Time to call LG€ Long phone call, more waiting, nothing, fridge still warm. It was a useless service, they were not able to help. Called LG again in the morning, on Sunday. They booked a server technician for Thursday or Friday which meant 5 more days with no fridge. They also asked for some paperwork which we scanned and sent the same night. Thursday, I receive a voicemail from the technician that he has no paperwork from LG and he€s tentatively setting up a visit for Saturday afternoon. Called LG, had more discussions on the phone, they promised to give an answer in the same day€ I did not hear from them again. On Friday I finally managed to get in touch with the technician, who promised to come Saturday between 3-5. He finally showed up at 5:45, I guess they are very busy fixing LG€s faulty fridges, to tell us the compressor is dead and left to order a new compressor. We will not be ordering from LG in the future, the fridge reviews are good, I cannot tell you anything about that since mine never worked, but the LG service is the worst you can find. They never saw a problem in letting a customer live without a fridge for weeks, one service agent had the audacity to tell us he grew up without a fridge€ I wonder if this is in their protocol.

I called a repairman and he said, he couldnt fix it, so after paying two thousand dollars for a new refrigerator, I am being annoyed every time I have to go through that drawer. The drawer comes off the track, and wont close right, and then I cant shut the refrigerator door. If they dont make good on this, I will never buy another LG product.

The ridiculous LG HDTV refrigerator, no replacement parts - Wayne Park, President of LG headquarters in New Jersey, has not returned my numerous phone calls to repair/replace their digital refrigerator of tomorrow. Folks, this refrigerator has serious functionality issues and LGs customer service told me that there are no replacement parts anywhere in the world, not even in Malaysia. I purchased my LG refrigerator in June 2017 and 3 weeks ago the compressor failed. After a few hours of talking with LG they agreed to send out a repair person to assess the issue. A&E is the only authorized repair in my area that can work on a sealed compressor so an appointment was set for 2 days after my initial call. The repair person let me know that this is a known issue with the LG refrigerators and that even with replacement I might only get another year out of this fridge. LG finally agreed to a one time compressor replacement and A&E ordered the parts. The parts never arrived and instead of re-ordering what was the initial order, A&E insisted that they would have to come back out to my home before they could re-order the parts. They appoint was another 2 days out. When they arrived, they confirmed the parts that needed to be ordered, rescheduled an appointment for August 28 and again ordered, 2019 the parts which arrived 5 days later. The new Super Compressor according the A&E was installed on August 28, 2019 and we were told to wait 24 hours for the appropriate cooling. Since this install my freezer still has not gotten cold, the fridge now will fluctuate from 20 degrees to 56 degrees and now the panel is showing an error code. I am now waiting for A&E to come on Sept 3, 2019 to look at the fridge again. Both LG and A&E only have call centers with trained staff to restate that they are sorry for the inconvenience and nothing more. I am on the verge of 4 weeks without a refrigerator with no end in sight. I based my purchase on the Consumer Reports magazine and website that touted the LG fridge performance and reliability. As a consumer I feel that I have been duped and am potentially looking at investing more money for a refrigerator that works. I would never buy an LG product again after this experience knowing that this was a known issue and LG kept selling their product with the same faulty compressor.

It took forever to get a repairman out and had to spend money on eating out and take out food. We were told it was a computer part and it would takes weeks to get the part. Literally we went the entire summer without a fridge. It worked for a while and now it is not working. Was told by a repairman that LG is the worst fridge anyone can buy. He has many calls on this brand (LG)... We lost more money on food bc we had to unplug fridge for 48 hours and plug in for another 24 to get to temp. It held temp for 5 days and is breaking again temp in fridge. Now 57 & climbing. Will never buy LG anything. Please advise if CLASS ACTION SUIT.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator for my newly remodeled kitchen in December of 2008. During this time, I have had 9 service calls - 8 of which pertained to the water system. Each time, there was leakage in the rear of the appliance which remained undetected for some time since the fridge was built in. When finally discovered water had been sitting on my hardwood floor for days and days. The plastic water tube along the back of the appliance split twice and water valves failed 3 times. After awhile the sitting water eventually seeped into the underlayment of my hardwood floor and wicked its way out and under the floor of the eating area of my kitchen which then warped the floorboards terribly. I now have a warped, bumpy floor, very noticeable and will have to spend $3,000 to have the entire floor redone. After repeated attempts for relief from LG, I was told I had not saved all the broken parts so I had no evidence and therefore they would do nothing. Who saves the broken parts once they have been replaced? NEVER, NEVER purchase an LG refrigerator. Every time a serviceman came over he said Oh ya, LG is no good. This is not the first time I have had water and ice in the door. My last fridge was a Kenmore and never saw a sign of a leak. AGAIN, NEVER, NEVER buy one of these refrigerators.

Think twice before you buy a LG refrigerator. The compressor on mine failed just past a year of use. LG repair people were less than helpful but they finally agreed to pay for new compressor but we were on the hook for labor because we had not purchased extended warranty. My granddaughter purchased a LG refrigerator just after ours. Her compressor failed just after a year. She did purchase the extended warranty but has now been waiting eight weeks for repair with no end in sight. Repair people do not want to do business with LG because it takes months and months for them to be paid/reimbursed by LG.

New a new mother board that is compatible with new compressor (400) not covered. Labor (400) not covered. 848.00 total with tax. The refrigerator cost 2,600! It also has started to pit/ rust on the door. Not happy at all. Would definitely not recommend LG ever again. The sad thing is several friends have bought one based on our recommendation.

I called LG and after speaking to numerous people, they agreed to send a tech out. On December 20, 2011, the tech arrived only to inform me that it was an ongoing problem and there was nothing he could do. It was the way LG designed the machine. On the hot cycle, it adds both hot and cold water so that is why it is not hot. I was furious! I called LG and they informed me that if I wanted to wash my clothes in hot water to use the sanitary cycle which is a 3 hour cycle or the bright whites cycle. My washing machine has an internal heater that is supposed to heat the water to 122 degrees on bright whites and 158 on sanitary. On my bright whites, it is only 90 degrees and not sure what it is on sanitary. LG is advertising that they have a hot cycle when in fact it is not hot and it makes no sense to add cold water to perfectly good hot water and then heat it back up! How is this energy efficient? I called LG again today and now I am being informed that the heater only works on sanitary and if I want hotter water on my cycles, I need to turn up my hot water heater. On page 7 on the instruction manual, it clearly says, the heater increases water temperature and provides better cleaning for sanitary and bright whites.€ So, even LG is admitting hotter water cleans better! This machine is a complete joke. LG should not be able to advertise that this machine has a hot cycle when it fact it does not.

I purchased a top of the line three thousand dollar plus refrigerator in February 2014. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. All of the lights work and all of the lights, indicator lights on the door panel work as well. I was away for the day and arrived home late in the evening so I did not go into or look at the refrigerator. The following morning, I noticed water dripping from the water and ice dispenser only to realize that everything in the refrigerator and the freezer defrosted and reach temperatures causing everything to spoil. I immediately contacted LG and they ran an over the phone diagnostic only to tell me that the unit was not operating properly. I could have told them that.When I said that I live in Arizona in a rural area and need emergency assistance, they stated they could not get anyone out to be for the next 4 to 5 days. How am I supposed to live without a refrigerator? They also told me that they hold no responsibility for all of the ruined food. This unit is still under warranty but that does help my situation as their commitment to service in unacceptable. When I went to purchase this top of the line unit, I was told by some folks not to buy an LG refrigerator as two separate folks stated they own LG fridge and have had nothing but problems. When I researched the reviews on this fridge, it received high marks. Taking that into consideration and the fact that the two folks who had problems with their units had them for over two years, I figured that LG made the necessary improvements to their refrigerator so I went ahead with the purchase. In summary: I will never again buy any LG product. I will never recommend an LG product and I will inform whom ever I know to stay away from LG no matter what the reviews state as I am not confident that they are authentic.

Me dijeron que el magnetrón está cubierto pero la mano de obra no. Luego me dijeron que llamara a una empresa determinada para que lo arreglaran. La empresa de servicios dijo que pediría la pieza y que, cuando llegara, me llamaría para instalarla. Se negaron a darme un presupuesto del coste de la mano de obra. Al final, después de varias llamadas, me dijeron que el coste era de unos 220 dólares. En este punto, envié dos correos electrónicos a la compañía LG y hasta hoy, 15 de febrero de 2012 no obtuve respuesta.Mi otro electrodoméstico, el lavavajillas LDF9810ST, simplemente no se lava. After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade of our 15 year old hand-me-down washer and dryer. We purchased the LG front loading washer (model # WM2487HRM). It began smelling horribly, not long after. We have had to leave the door and the dispenser drawer open, put dryer sheets in to help with smell in between washes, regularly try to wipe out the disgusting rubber seal, after every wash, because of the remaining water, and still it stinks. The printing on the machines is rubbing off, and the seams on the exterior of the dryer seem to be disintegrating. Every time I wipe it clean, the color of the machine (red) wipes off! We also have terrible vibrations with it. On January 18, 2012, we had a service technician come to check why it sounded like it was so far off balance, that it was going to crack the interior. Of course, the extended warranty provider, Federal Warranty Service Corporation, sent out the repair company of their choosing. He checked that the machine was indeed level (we already tried that), still it shook so bad that he had to remove the top of the washer, and proceeded to tell me wow! You should see how bad it is! That thing was going crazy inside there! He said the bearing was bad, and warned that with continued use, it might seize up. He also said that he wouldnt even attempt to replace it, because of the man hours it would require, and they only pay him a flat fee of $95 to repair it. It just wasnt worth his time. He said he would contact the service contract provider with the recommendation, to replace the machine altogether, and even recommended that we get a top loader next time! We still havent gotten any resolution, and our washer is worse than ever! LG, Home Depot, and Federal Warranty Service Corporation should all be ashamed of themselves for producing, selling, and attempting to maintain service contracts on this washing machine! It is the last time I will I purchase from any of them! Class action suit? Count me in!

We bought the LG LFX25978ST French door refrigerator on 5-1-2013 from HH Gregg. Was working okay until Oct 5, 2013 (5 months) when it suddenly stopped making ice & freezer contents were mushy, soft. Called LG. They told me to reset the ice maker & it should be fine. Reset twice, still no ice. Called LG on Oct 6th again. They told me to get a new filter or bypass plug (which should have been left with me when they delivered) which I did on Oct 7th. Put the bypass plug in... still no ice & freezer not freezing. Called LG back. They said they would schedule a service tech to repair. After several calls from the repair people about the date of purchase, serial #, model # finally they said they would have to order a new ice maker & when the parts came in they would schedule the repair. Finally came out on Oct 17th!! 12 days with no ice & very little freezer. Had to buy ice & use ice trays in my garage freezer. When the repairman came out on Oct 17th, he had a new motherboard & a new ice maker.... Took him 2 hours to replace the ice maker in the door... Had to take it back out several times because the ice container was too tight. He said it would take 8 hours to make ice, to call him in the morning if it did not. Well... still no ice & worst now... no freezer. Lost about $80.00 of food... ice cream melted completely & all over the bottom. Called the repair service next day Oct 18th, told them no freezer, no ice. They told me they would send the tech out again but could not until Oct 21st. Also called LG about my defective refrigerator. They said it wasnt defective & they would not replace it until it was deemed unrepairable. Very unsympathetic & rude! They told me I must allow them to repair. Repairman came back out Oct 21st & was on the phone to LG Tech. Put thermometers in freezer & refrigerator was finally diagnosed as a bad compressor!! This refrigerator is only 5 months old!!! I had a Frigidaire before that was 16 yrs old & I never had a bad compressor. Called LG again & asked what they were going to do about my refrigerator. They told me that it was not unrepairable. That I had to allow them to replace the compressor or they would do nothing!!!! So after talking to HH Gregg a couple of times, with no help from them either, HH Gregg said I would have to allow them to do the repairs. You would think that HH Gregg would stand behind their products also. I had bought all 4 new appliances from HH Gregg but only the refrigerator was an LG. So as it stands now, I have a different service provider that LG sent an email to, not listing the replacements parts (I had to give them that info so they could order the compressor). They are scheduled to come out Nov 6th with the new compressor. But Saturday Nov 2nd, my refrigerator is not cooling!!! I bought a ref thermometer & the temp in the refrigerator is 55 degrees!!! I have no other refrigerator!!!I paid $2300 for this LG refrigerator on 5-1-2013. I have no refrigerator, no freezer & no ice. LG does not care!!! I am still trying to get either LG or HH Gregg to replace this defective refrigerator & I guarantee I will never purchase another LG product. You would think that there should be some help when a product you purchase does not meet even minimal standards.

Apuesto a que no consigo ninguna reparación, ni piezas, ni nada, y un montón de tiempo perdido por esto. Tengo equipos LG por valor de 15.000 dólares en esta casa y no les interesa lo más mínimo ayudarme. No volveré a comprarles otro equipo.

Called LG and was told to call a service company. Was given the number. Called the company and was told by them they have not did service for LG over 5 years and told LG to take them off the list. Called back to LG. Got the same number. Explained to them they do not service LG anymore. Was the told they cannot find anyone in our area.After two days of phone calls was given a number to someone called. He came out. Had never worked on LG before. Didnt know how he was getting paid. Call LG to help walk him through the repair. They told us it was a fan and will order it 4 days later. Still no word. Called LG. Was told the part will ship today. Refrigerator is still down. Will have to wait until next week to see if it gets repaired. I will never buy appliance or any big ticket item again from Lowes or LG or anything LG sells. Will stay with Kenmore or with a company that offers local service.

Called LG and was on hold for over 7 minutes and finally gave up. I have to try and call again tomorrow. I am very disappointed with the product and the customer service.

It is up to date, keeps food cold, and also keeps drinks pretty cold as well. Its also pretty spacious to put leftovers and other stuff in it like juice, milk, etc.. It is an all around amazing brand when it comes to fridges. I have always liked LG and I will get another LG brand in the future. I love the brand because they make a lot of good stuff that is very up to date. LG has always succeeded to make me happy with their appliances. I love how every time I put a used drink in my fridge. It stays super cold so its refreshing when I want it again.

Updated 08/15/2019: I posted my original review of my LG refrigerator, but wanted to correct the model number. It is a Model LMXS30746S/00 instead of Model LMXS30776S. My wife ordered the latter originally, but it was on backorder (From LG, no surprise, right!). After waiting over a month for it to arrive, my wife decided to go with the LMXS30746S/00 instead. We received this refrigerator January 9, 2015. -As of August 15, 2019, I still have a non-working refrigerator, with a defective linear compressor. My original review of my refrigerator was on July 2, 2019. LG responded in writing, and other than a few phone conversations, of the which most were initiated by me, that is pretty much all this company has done to date. -On July 10, 2019, LG informed me that a technician was scheduled to look at my unit July 18, 2019. No technician, no courtesy call, no surprise. At the end of the day (still July 18th), I notified LG, and on July 30, 2019, they informed me that they were considering an alternate resolution. At that point, LG requested proof of purchase, which was provided a few days afterwards. LG responded August 5, 2019, and said my case was escalated to their Return Authorizations Department and informed me that instead of awaiting repair, they were going to go the alternate resolution route. LG informed me that someone should contact me from the Return Authorization Department within 4 business days. -On August 8, 2019, I received a call from a family member to inform me that a representative from A&E, LGs repair group, had contacted her about the refrigerator. I placed a call to A&E to no avail. I then called the Return Authorization Department. I was informed that they were still awaiting approval for the alternate resolution. She had no idea why anyone from A&E was trying to reach me. -Later on August 8, 2019, I received a call from LG informing me that a technician was scheduled to come look at my refrigerator on August 9, 2019. I was told this was a necessary step in the alternate resolution process. -August 9th came and went, and once again, no technician showed, no technician called. We did get a text of from A&E this same evening stating our appointment was rescheduled for August 19, 2019. No apology or explanation for the missed appointment though.-On Monday, August 12, 2019, I called LGs Return Authorization Department. I informed the representative about the missed appointment. She informed me that my case was still awaiting approval. The person responsible for making such decisions was away from the office, so she left a note and said she would get back with me to provide an update. As of 3:00 PM, I am in a holding pattern awaiting that call. Most likely, I will end up calling LG back. Original review 07/02/2019: I purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in 2014. In 2017, it stopped cooling, due to a noisy/failed Linear Compressor. Trying to hold LG up to their 10 Year Sealed System Warranty, which includes the compressor was/is a joke. I dont recall ever wasting as much time and getting the runaround on any product I ever purchased. I was first told that LG was going to take care of my issue, including labor, at no charge. I was given the name and phone number of the company that was to perform the work. After going a few weeks with no contact from this company, I called them. It was listed as a computer repair business, and all I ever got was an answering machine. I contacted LG again several times, expressing my dissatisfaction with the whole issue and the delay in having my issue resolved. Someone finally sent me a list of 5 repair companies and told me to reach out and choose one to repair the fridge. Well, I called 3 of the numbers, reached a voice mail for one, and spoke to representatives at two of the others. In both cases, the persons I spoke to said that they were not trained or authorized to work on LG Sealed Systems. At this point, I was really ticked off. How can a company that on the outside appear so great, be so badly run. Not only did I have a product that was worthless in its present state, but in the process of getting it repaired, find that this company doesnt even know who is authorized to make necessary repairs. I contacted the Marylands Attorney Generals Office to see if they could help me. They sent a few letters to LG, and LG responded, saying that they offered to supply a replacement compressor (which were drastically back-ordered due to their high failure rate), but that I did not accept their offer. LG said nothing about covering the labor for replacing said compressor as they said they would do at the beginning of my ordeal. Marylands Attorney Generals Office said my only recourse would be small claims court. Well, I thought I was ticked off before, but I discovered that I had another gear. I contacted LG once again, and expressed my frustration. I was finally connected to the group that handles technical issues. When I told the person where the refrigerator was, he told me LG did not have anyone nearby whom could fix it. I asked, how can LG put a warranty on something, knowing full well they did not have personnel who could make necessary repairs. The person told me that LG had personnel available to make warranty repairs on items, including appliances, just not in cases like mine.The LG refrigerator is in my garage, taking up space, at least until I build up enough energy to figure out what I am going to do with it. Through this whole ordeal, I have developed a disdain for The LG brand. I am not sure if this compressor issue, which has affected thousands of LG refrigerators, is being mishandled at the direction of upper management at the risk of cutting into profits, or if employees interfacing with customers like myself, are not following LGs we care for our customers slogan. LG - Life is Good, when you can treat people so bad and still rake in profits.

A small dribble of ice has to be chopped off the front to get it started again. Very disappointed in this aspect. Also only two positions to adjust each shelf in the refrigerator part. Not very accommodating.

I bought a bottom freezer / French door refrigerate 3 years ago and granted, I did not purchase the extended warranty but, I do have a ten year warranty on the compressor, which went and, they replaced it with another bad compressor. The LG ice maker design is flawed (LG Refrigerator LFX25975ST103). I purchased the item new from Home Depot in 2010 and luckily with an extended service contract. Initially, the problem was the water dispenser. The dispensing button stuck and flooded the kitchen before I could get an LG representative on the phone. The ice maker would not function and was replaced after numerous service calls between September 2010 and January 2011. It has never functioned properly, always crushing most of the ice. This leads to a crushed ice dam that forms in the door. Eventually, one must clean out this mess. After being a slave to service calls in 2010, I decided to utilize my Home Depot extended warranty and attempt once more to have ice from this very expensive investment.A crack existed in the ice hopper and a very talented serviceman came to my home, analyzed the problem, and ordered a new ice hopper. The part arrived last week and since then, the same problem has existed. Now, I am unable to remove the ice hopper due to the ice dam in the door. This entire problem is due to the design. We keep the temperature in our home at just under seventy degrees year-round. When the left door is opened, the vents between the main refrigerator body and the door allow warmer air to enter the ice maker. The flap door that opens to allow ice to eject also allows warm air to enter due to the long length of the trap door opening, 5 seconds. This allows some melting of the ice that is trapped and crushed in the hopper to melt then re-freeze in the blades. Then the damming cycle begins once again.

It was falling off the top, the plastic all around it was melted and when I wrapped a light bulb with a towel, it still almost burnt my hand. All my food was spoiled. The food was hot, melted and spoiled. Im so glad I got this before a full blown fire started before going to bed tonight. After googling the problem, I see this has been a problem for years with lawsuits (successful lawsuits dating back to 2010) and still 4 years later this is still happening. LG needs to have better quality control. Do not buy LG!!

The LG repair man came and it was no better. It is supposed to be high efficiency. Sometimes a cycle will last for hours with all the error messages and then it resets the timer and goes back to earlier in the cycle. I HATE this machine and it should be taken off the market.

Purchased our first big purchase for our kitchen remodel. All LG products. Stainless steel. Big upgrade for us. The dishwasher had 2 minor problems that we were able to fix. Our refrigerator (model LFX28978ST/0) although has had 3 of the shelves in the door cracked, a rolling wheel on the Vegetable bin broke, the clear cover on the butter dish broke and the ice tray cracked. All within 3 year of purchase. LG suggests we purchase the entire ice maker $180 just for a $10 ice tray, the vegetable bin is no longer available. The other parts I was able to purchase at $150. After contacting LG I understand they dont even sell replacement parts. You have to go through a parts business. I will never purchase another LG product again and I will make sure all my friends, family and all my contacts on Facebook know about the terrible customer service and shoddy craftsmanship LG has.

We bought an LG refrigerator in March of 2017. Its a door in door. The problem we are having is with the doors. The door in door isnt closing and sealing properly. Weve had 5 service repair guys out that we couldnt really speak English and they continue to tell us the door is closing properly which it isnt. When we open and close the other door it ends up pushing the other door open and then that door doesnt close by itself. LG wont give you the time of day. All we would really like is for them to replace this unit and move on. But they dont want any part of it. You spend $2500 to $3000 on a unit you expect to work properly and they could really care less. I would not recommend LG products to anyone.

My $2000 LG fridge stopped working July 4th and it was stuffed with food the technician who came said he could repair the fridge so he would have it taken away. He made up a story about why he couldnt fix it but most likely he didnt know. The fridge is 3 years old and so he charged me for the collection and now he says its the compressor. The 10-year warranty doesnt appear to apply to whats wrong and he says that LG dont have a compressor to supply him? Ive lost my fridge all the food and I have no respect for LG. I called their marketing department but the lady answering the phone hung up on me after I called to complain. Great customer relations LG.

Al parecer, durante mi ausencia este verano, el compresor se estropeó y se pueden imaginar lo mal que olía mi frigorífico con las puertas cerradas después de 4 meses fuera. Cuando llamé a LG, sabían del fallo de los compresores en este modelo, (que todos los propietarios deberían haber sido informados). Me lo arreglaron, aunque el olor continúa, incluso después de usar todos los productos disponibles.El problema que empezó después de la reparación fue el RUIDO, que es peor que el olor. Lo volví a reparar, pero el ruido continuaba. El mayor problema es que el ruido no es constante. Viene y va y por lo tanto no siempre se oye cuando se están haciendo reparaciones. I bought a 4 door LG refrigerator. Its a French door on top with 2 freeze drawers in the bottom. I paid about $50 more to get a counter depth which is fantastic for the space in my modular home with an air vent in front of the space. This model has plenty of space in the refrigerator compartment. It looks like changing the water filter will be easy and convenient.It does have a drawer at the bottom which is nice but it would have been a better design if it would slide out when only one door is open on the refrigerator. You have to have both doors open to utilize the space. The same with the right side drawer that holds produce. You cant get it open all the way before the left edge hits the center strip of the left side French door. I have only had it a month so will have to do another review after 5 years. This LG is a replacement for a 4 1/2 year Samsung that had constant problems with the ice maker freezing up.. I Will never buy Samsung products again. Their Customer Service is atrocious.

You could have a large or small load and it will go uneven. When you restart the load, it will add more time and then go uneven again. There are times it will take over an hour to complete a load. You can never do small loads! I will never purchase an LG washer again. I want to get rid of this machine so bad, hard when we have paid so much for this washer. According to other reviews this is a very common issue with these washers.

I didnt dislike hardly anything on that product. I really love temp control from the outside of the product itself. I dont have to stand in the cool air and then decide if I need to rearrange things before I will be able to accomplish what I wish. I would buy another one so yes it met my initial expectations as it keeps fruit ripe and veggies from fermenting. I can hold veggies for weeks before they are black.

Well, we are now scheduled for the 13th time for a certified LG tech to come look at my washer that doesnt work. This is the replacement machine for the first one that didnt work. After several calls to LGs 800 #, I was transferred to Robert in the executive call center (ha ha). At least he spoke English. He acted like he was concerned about the problem I was having and was going to help get it resolved. He talked to their techs, called the local service company, claimed to have had parts sent out and a service appointment scheduled. I was to receive a call when the parts arrived (2-3 days) to schedule a time that would be convenient for me (ha ha). Well, its been 4 days and no call, so I called the local service company and they had received nothing from LG. They had a call but nothing had been scheduled, no parts sent, and no authorization for service. Surprise, surprise, surprise!I called LG again, asked for Robert, and instead I got some silly girl that did not have a clue. I insisted that I wanted to speak to Robert and was finally transferred to him. I am not sure if it was the person I spoke with before but this time it was a new story. No parts were being ordered. They would have the tech come look at the machine and go from there. So it will be another week with a broken washing machine. It took 6 hours to do 2 loads of laundry. The machine continues to think it had an unbalanced load and fill to the top with water. Never really washes clothes, just fills, jiggles and few minutes, drains and starts over. Definitely energy efficient!

Fridge: Linear compressor went out at 9 months. 20 phone calls and runaround before I could get LG to agree to service. Now, 6 months later, FF and E code seemingly freezer fan motor is defective. LG service tells me to unplug it for 8 hours and let it defrost all over My hardwood floors and €just put down towels.€ And... If that doesn€t work, you need a new motor. BTW: The fridge to the floor is about 1/2 inch so no room for a towel.Gas€s range: Buyer beware. The knobs to light the stove will ignite if you lean on them and then slight turn. People with small kids are taking the knobs off. That is how easy it is to ignite the stove. Just last night my guest almost caught her sleeve on fire from leaning on a knob when talking to another friend. This stove needs recalled. I have tried but fell to deaf ears. Someone is going to be seriously burned, just a matter of time.Stove: Front started rusting 3 months after I got it. Of course they claimed user error. At that time only had used it about 10 times. Inside looked liked it had never been used. Got some of it off but still can see it. Washer: If you don€t clean the rubber gasket EVERY time you use the washer, water will run out the front. So far, knock on wood, love the dishwasher, microwave and dryer.Have had many defective things before and the difference is the service; standing behind products, great customer service, no hassle. That€s what keeps my business. I understand not everything is perfect, but take care of it and you will keep my business. LG FAILS in ALL OF THE ABOVE. Try to get ahold of them and when you finally do, it turns into us vs. them. Sooo disappointed and sick to my stomach knowing I now have another fail code on my fridge to deal with. I€m going back to Samsung. Much better quality and service.

Ive had this refrigerator (model LFC23760SW) French doors freezer on the bottom for about 4 years. I like the design of the fridge except for one reoccurring problem. I have had to replace the door gaskets 3 times in four years. Not only is this very annoying but it is costly. The issue is when the doors (left and right) come together to make a seal, the left door gasket pull away from the door and tears. This is the same issue over and over. Clearly this is a design flaw. I just recently (within 3 weeks) replaced the door gaskets and the door gasket on the left has already begin to pull away from the door. I know I cant be the only person having this issue and I was hoping the LG company has come up with a fix for this problem. Their reply to my inquiry was brief and simple, no fixes reported to customer care were available, have a nice day. I would highly suggest everyone stay away from this model and others like it. Im staying away from LG products, period.

First contact on Feb 23rd for compressor replacement, 5 years into a ten-year compressor warranty. Lengthy wait on hold,13 verifiable calls later, as of March 5th, there has been no authorization for a compressor to be shipped to the service vendor. Service vendor made 7 of 10 calls in one day. LG will not provide a direct number to reach the same person twice. They will provide you with a badge number and first name. When you call back, there is no way to get back to the same person. Today they tell me it takes five days to process a parts authorization. They also tell me it will be another 7 to 10 days before they ship the parts once they are ordered.Once that happens, the service provider has to order the parts, and reschedule service at the home location. Both my self and the service provider have been sent to another company called Encompass who then has you start all over. I was told on March 1st that the authorization was in my email, all I had to do was open it. On March 2nd, I was assured it would be processed in 24 to 48 hours. Today, that has grown to 5-7 business days to approve parts. This has left me no choice other than to be a month or more without a refrigerator. The original purchase price was just over $2700.00 on sale.

We bought a $4000 LG refrigerator from Home Depot 13 months ago. When we first received it, we noticed the plastic piece above the fruit/vegetable drawers was broken. A repairman said that he would order the part and return once it was received to install it. That never happened. I let it go since the refrigerator itself was functioning fine. Unfortunately, as soon as the 1 year warranty expired, so did the refrigerator and the freezer. They both stopped working. The LG repairman states that he needed to order a part and would return. He did so, but unfortunately the new part that was installed didnt fix the problem. A few hours later the refrigerator also developed a loud noise as well as a vibration. The repairman was supposed to come back this morning, but LG called 30 minutes ahead of time to say that the repairman called in sick and they dont have an alternate repairman (even though I live in middle of LA). A repairman is scheduled to come back tomorrow. Well see what happens. Were upset because we have had to be inconvenienced several times for a repair to a very expensive appliance that is relatively new. We have 3 kids and cannot survive without a refrigerator! Im never buying an LG product again.

After defrosting and cleaning, would not cool to safe food storage temperatures. Several phone calls to LG for phone diagnostics were no help. Finally said it needed a service call and gave me numbers for 3 different service companies. Either they didnt come to my town or didnt work on LG. Finally found somebody to come on my own. Now awaiting a new control board. Called LG back to find out that part was only covered for a year under my warranty. That was an expensive fridge with a lousy warranty. I suspect Im not the only customer with this issue.

Thus, I have rust water draining into my laundry tub. The protection plan I bought was useless for it cover parts not cosmetics. LG could not help me, they wont stand behind their own work. Well, to be fair, the LG Rep did say that although he has no solution, he understands my disappointment. So, LG will not stand behind their product. Too bad for me...a shame. During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kitchen after having extension plumbing work done to our home. As part of that, we wanted new appliance and bought the LG refrigerator because it was the size we need to fill the space. A couple of years after we purchased it, it stopped cooling. I called LG and a customer service person told me to unplug it for at least six hours and plug it back in. I did and that seemed to fix the problem. It also had some type of water leak with the ice maker that would allow a large sheet of ice to build up to the point in the bottom the door would no longer close. I was able to remove it without much difficulty, but this happened continuously until the water line to the unit froze and burst and I turned off the line completely.In August of 2015, our refrigerator quit cooling and we contacted the company to see if it was still under warranty and we were told the compressor and sealed system was covered for seven years. This is a parts only warranty. They gave me the name of four repair companies and I contacted the one closest to me. The first tech looked at it and said they would have to send someone else out. I paid him for the call $75 and he left. The next tech came a few days later and quoted me a price of $275 to replace the compressor and the evaporator, but told me LG refrigerators had a history of leaking in the tubing in the walls and if that was in fact the problem, it could not be fixed. He told me to contact LG and begin the process of getting the parts. This began a two month struggle of phone calls back and forth between myself, LG and the repairman.No matter who I called, they said I needed to talk to the other one. The repairman eventually stopped taking my calls and after weeks of trying to get help, an LG customer service representative told me he informed the company he would no longer work on their products, a lie on someones part because he fixed my boss refrigerator a few weeks after that. They told me to contact another person on the list, so I went to the next closest person to my town, who refused to touch it because someone else had already looked at it. It was October 27 before LG was able to get A&E to get a repairman out. They told me I would not have to pay for the call because of the inconvenience it had created. He replaced the dryer in the back and the next day, I was once again able to put food back into it.Around December 14, my wife noticed the refrigerator was again not cooling. I contacted LG and they contact A&E, who couldnt get anyone out until January 12. The repairman didnt show up on the 12th and when I called, they didnt have the appointment in the system. They rescheduled for the next week. When the repair technician arrived, he called his supervisor to say it looked like the wrong type of dryer (dye dryers help them diagnose where leaks may be) had been put on the unit. They suggested he hook a freon tank to the unit and heat it with a welding torch and listen for the leak. He didnt hear anything and suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator.He was told not to do anything to the unit because they wanted another technician to come out and look at the unit to try and find the leak. (The company never noted any of this in their system and the tech says he doesnt remember the call.) He apologized to me and told me he felt the leak was in the walls of the refrigerator and couldnt be fixed. A few days later, two techs arrived at the house and my frustration level had reached a boiling point. He asked me what had happened with the previous visit, I told him and he called his supervisor. That was when we found out no notes were taken on the previous call. He then suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator and I took my frustration out on him.He was the tech who came in October and defended the fact he put in the right evaporator. He said if there was no visible sign of a leak during the last visit, then the leak was in the walls of the unit and could not be fixed. He advised me to call LG and felt they needed to honor their warranty, which I did. The customer service representative said they couldnt do anything until the tech filed his report. She never gave me any impression the problem might not fall under their warranty. I left the tech a message and he talked to a supervisor who said they would come out and replace the compressor and evaporator, but it would be the last visit made to my home on this issue. He told me to call LG and get the compressor and evaporator shipped to my home. I did and they promptly connected me to A&E to set up the service call. (I never received the replacement parts.)When the tech arrived a few days later, he called a supervisor and they told him to hook up the sealed system and check gauge readings. There was talk about a blockage in the lines. After several minutes, the tech disconnected the gauges, the call ended and he told me if the line was blocked it was in the walls of the unit and was not repairable. At this point, I contacted LG and was connected to the executive services office in Huntsville, Alabama. I spoke with a woman there who was pleasant at first, but then informed me the lines in the wall are not part of the sealed system. I told her there was no way to repair them because they were literally sealed in the wall.She then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not reading the warranty information on the unit completely. I have owned LG Cell phones and other electronic products and was always pleased with how they worked. As a home appliance company, they are terrible. I paid more than two-weeks pay to buy this refrigerator. My last refrigerator I paid $350 for and it lasted nearly 15 years. If LG is the only company to make refrigerators in the future, I will search antique stores and look for an old fashioned ice chest and become friends with the ice man before I put another one of their products in my home.

Now over last 3 years, they have fixed it 8 more times, and have never solved the problem. They refuse to replace this lemon, and keep sending Korean techies out to fix it every time this happens. I now have to take them to court to get a new refrigerator under Michigan lemon law. They are coming again this Friday, 11/16/2011, because it just broke again!

Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it failed to function after the recall software fix caused the machine to continuously give the uE, unbalanced error code. LG is trying to turn this issue into a warranty issue, rather than accepting responsibility for their failed software fix. Additionally, we were bombarded with extended warranty offers from LG between the time of the recall in December 2012 and the time we finally received our recall notice in early September 2013. We dont think this was a coincidence.Kudos to Barbara, Dave and Andrea at Mansfield, OH Best Buy. Best Buy refunded our original purchase price, pro-rated a refund of our unused extended warranty and gave us a discount on any new washer of our choice. We replaced the machine with a Samsung front loader since we know how to avoid the odor problems caused by using too much detergent and fabric softener in front loaders. My wife was adamant that we not purchase another LG product.

We bought a $3,000 LG refrigerator in 2013. Countless minor problems are needless to say here. Just last week, the water cooler and ice maker stopped working. When I called LG, the representative I spoke with did not tell me about the common problems and advise me to wait a couple of days for the frost to clear due to the temporary ice maker fan problem. She entered me into a service contract that cost me $258.07 because its out of warranty, and said if I cancelled the contract it would cost me $100.00. Desperate to have the unit fixed, I agreed.Twelve hours later, the unit was back on. I called LG and said I discovered that LG had a lawsuit on the same problem, I needed a full refund. The rep. said someone from the extended warranty dept. will call me back soon. I waited 24 hours later. No one called. I called them back and requested the appointment and contract be cancelled and followed up with a cancellation e-mail. Today, the technician called me to confirmed he was on his way to look at the unit. I have never encountered anything like this. If you shop for an LG refrigerator, you better check the consumer review. I would think twice from now on before buying another LG product.

LG said that would take 5-10 days then they authorized the wrong company even though I sent the correct info (LG admitted it was their mistake). The company had to be authorized before they could order the linear compressor. 4 weeks still waiting for the darn thing to be fixed! Never buy this POS, so much for thinking I bought the best. Worked until August of 2018, repairman just left, after diagnosing that it has a sealed system failure and it would cost $1200.00-$1500.00 to fix. This fridge, mind you, cost $2300.00!! We have lost all the food in it and are presently living out of a cooler and a small dorm-type fridge to tide us over. I wish that I had done more research before we bought this lemon! We named it Voldemort, because its evil! Do yourself a favor-do not buy anything LG! Evidently, they dont care about their customers or making a good product. Life is Good?? Not if you have the misfortune to own an LG product-especially a fridge!!

But I dislike the design. I feel like there should be more controls. It should be more futuristic like have a smart display like some other refrigerator. But this refrigerator does an excellent job of keeping all our groceries cool. It was a nice refrigerator and it fits our budget at the time. I still would have like to go with a more premium model. But for now this is one of the best refrigerator. If I could change something about this refrigerator it would be to have an even bigger freezer than what we have now, right now its fine but it always good to have more space or if the ice machine could produce ice faster.

We are an LG household. Washer, dryer, and refrigerators. Our main kitchen refrigerator, a 2016 model, stopped working in July 2019. First failure. LG send out their authorized repair technician who came and changed the compressor. It worked for about 2 weeks and died. That was the second failure. LG sent out another technician who said the previous technician had done an incomplete repair, he said he completed it, and left. The refrigerator worked for a few more days, then died again.That was the third failure. The fridge has now been non-functional for over a week, and the repairman is not scheduled to come for another week. It is not good to send repairmen who are unable to perform a satisfactory repair the first time around, not to speak of the extreme inconvenience of losing three refrigerators worth of food (from three failures in the span of a month). Looking back, I would have much preferred a replacement machine after the first machine failed, or a refund after the second failure. We are now on the third failure and not thinking good thoughts of the LG refrigerator company.

Before I bought the front-load washer, I called LG customer service to get details on how to not have smell/mold problems in my machine. I was very diligent in cleaning it. I cleaned around the rubber area in the door, I drained the old water, cleaned the filter, cleaned inside the soap area and the took the soap dispenser out and cleaned that too, as well as running the tub clean cycle - using afresh, running it with bleach, running it with vinegar, leaving the door open, using HE soap, etc. I called LG to see what they could do because the smell was in my clean clothes. An LG tech came out to look at the machine regarding the smell and found that I did everything humanly possible to keep it clean. He called LG and they told him to take the tub to a car wash and spray it down (ridiculous).The tech went further, because he knew this would do nothing, and got approval to replace some parts (the back part of the tub had been discontinued???). In cleaning the machine, I watched as black mold and bacteria came out of the hoses and it was on the back of the tub. I took this information to the corporate level and I was told immediately that it was maintenance. I was shocked as to how Tish could tell me that it was my fault immediately without talking to the tech. It was only after I told her that the tech said that it was going to come back again, that she called him. After being left on hold for 15 mins., she got back on the phone and said that she spoke to the tech, his manager, and her manager, and that they were going to review my case.Well 1 week later I called back; Tish told me that they werent going to do anything. She said after talking to their legal department they decided that it was a maintenance issue. They said I misused the washing machine...HUH?? I have had allergic conjunctivitis so bad that my eye doctor and my specialist have told me to go 2 hrs. away to UVA because after 2-3 years of misery and steroid eye drops, dermatologist testing, allergy testing and numerous visits to doctors, they dont know what is wrong with me. Funny how now that the tub in my washer has been replaced and many parts steam cleaned, I dont have the zombie look anymore. It is still in the clothes and the sheets that we sleep in, but it has improved. Bottom line, LG corporate is programmed to blame the consumer, even if they have a defective product. They dont stand behind their name at all. BUY A SAMSUNG!!!

No más nada de LG nunca. La secadora está tan mal diseñada (es el modelo sin ventilación - no la compren) que se necesita un equipo de técnicos para sacar la unidad de la zona en la que se encuentra sólo para pulsar un botón para restablecer el termostato. Ha tenido tres placas de ordenador nuevas en 2 años. Los técnicos desmontaron toda la secadora en la última visita y sustituyeron todo el termostato en lugar de simplemente restablecerlo. Eso fue hace un par de meses y hoy se ha vuelto a estropear. Se sobrecalentó y se paró. Tengo suerte de haber comprado un contrato de servicio de Sears. Se han portado muy bien, pero espero que sustituyan pronto la unidad. Les está costando una fortuna la reparación. I insisted that it seems it is a compressor problem and the warranty for it is 5 years parts and labor. From where I live there was only 2 repair shop that was listed in the LG website, but only 1 answered. The technician installed a new universal compressor that was so loud. It turned out it was not configured correctly. The technician came back and I think tried but he just messed it up and it died.I searched for help and found a write up about LG and I am not alone. It seems that LG has a reputation on Bad product and customer service. I read that I can call executive services. I was able to talk to a person in executive services. I told her the technician they sent seems to not know how to fix my refrigerator. She said that she will set up an A&E technician. After 1 month on Sept. 8, the technician will come. If you want to have the chance to have this same BAD experience, then go ahead and buy an LG.

All the appliance repair places say they will not work on them. The companies LG recommended cant buy parts because their account is on hold. Got a repair estimate today for $1,200 and he said we had to buy the parts ourselves. LG will not sell us parts. We still had to pay for the service call. We have lost most of the food in our refrigerator over the last 2 days. Please do not buy LG.
