I have to say I am taking the time to write a review for my Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine since Ive never been this dissatisfied with a product. Every time I wash my brand new expensive black dress pants, I have resulting white marks all over! Im so upset! I washed one load three times with no soap at all just to remove the marks present! At this point, I will never buy another Whirlpool product. =(

After happily using Maytag washers at my old address for 30 some years, I moved to my current address and in 2006 I purchased a new Maytag. In 2010 I needed service. I was advised it had a bad bearing and was not advised to repair as it would cost well over $600.00. I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio top loading HE appliance. The Cabrio worked well until one day it made a horrible noise. Although it still worked, I called for service and was told it had a bad bearing and would cost $670.00 to fix and they advised against it. After the service call, it never worked again. I know things dont last like they used to but 4 years is ridiculous. I have been advised that Whirlpool bought Maytag. Is this what to expect from so called reputable companies?

I purchased a Cabrio washing machine and discovered multiple repair issues
I purchased a Cabrio washing machine and discovered multiple repair issues over the last few months. I have had to replace a pump for $85 and now the machine will not complete a cycle. I found out the the whole thing is rusted above the barrel which is causing a leak in the back and leaving our floors covered in rust shavings. From my research and reading others reviews and issues, they pay for a serviceman to come out and still it does not solve the problem. My husband is a student in college and we are living off student loans. We bought this machine because we trusted that a Whirlpool would last and be a good investment. I am very displeased on this machine and doubt I will ever put my trust in Whirlpool again. I called to complain and got the typical response I have read others got. I am not paying for a service call when it will not fix the washer in the end. I plan to file complaint after complaint and encourage any class action suit against Whirlpool for producing a poor washing machine and misadvertisement on this machine. I will move forward in this. I feel that as consumers we have a right and should have a sense of ease when you spend $900 on a product that it should work and not give out as it has so quickly. If there has been multiple people with common complaints, then there should be a recall on this washing machine.

Our 4-year old Whirlpool microwave suddenly stopped heating. We thought that we forgot to push something so we tried again to start it. This time, it started to spark. We bought a new microwave oven and foolishly bought another over the range Whirlpool microwave. This was about 1 1/2 years ago. The second Whirlpool microwave oven stopped heating as well. F7 came up on the controls which meant that the magnetron failed in this second microwave as well. We called Whirlpool and they said they would only repair it if we paid for the repair which would have cost almost as much as a new microwave and maybe more if other parts were involved. Next, last year, 2012, the pump on our Whirlpool dishwasher broke and once again, it was too expensive to repair it. We had to buy another dishwasher so we bought a Maytag, not knowing that they were made by Whirlpool. I guess we will have to wait until that guarantee is up before that also breaks. Also, last year, our Whirlpool washer pump broke and that cost us a few hundred dollars to repair. From the complaints that I am reading from people about their Whirlpool appliances, it is seems that their products are made to last just until the warranties expire. We should start a class action against Whirlpool. On many sites, I have read numerous complaints about Whirlpool products, the majority about the magnetrons in their microwave ovens breaking during and shortly after guarantees run out. They should not be allowed to get away with this. BBB, Consumer Affairs, where are you? To the many of you who have been burned by Whirlpool, I hope you have contacted the BBB and Consumer Affairs and maybe even the Attorney Generals office in your home state.

We bought the microwave in August 2018 and last week it burned a hole through the turn table which broke it and burned a hole in the floor of the microwave. Whirlpool said it was under warranty but refused to bring a new one. They ordered a new glass turntable and painted the spot that had the hole burned in it. What makes me believe it is safe now to use? What caused a microwave to go awry in the first place. It has to be a safety issue and Whirlpool will do nothing about it. Lousy customer experience.

I purchased a range top from Lowes and a month and half my burners go out. I call Whirlpool and a service technician came out. Said that he cant repair the stove because a bug had burned out the burners and he cant repair the stove. I call Whirlpool and they told me that voids my warranty with them even though my stove is not even two months old that will not repair it and I will have to pay for it to be repaired. I asked Lowes and they told me that they only take back big appliances back before 30 days. Now I am stuck with a stove that I paid 700.00 for that does not work and I have 4 children to feed. I am sickened on how Whirlpool can do this to a hard working family that just wants a good stove. I hope this helps another hard working family. Do your research before buying from Whirlpool. I wish I would have.

My husband and I purchased a new Maytag top load washing machine from Best Buy in May 2017. On June 19th, a month later, as I am washing, all of a sudden the machine dies down. I checked everything from the outlet, the plug to the circuit breaker, and nothing seemed to help get my washer to start up again. Unfortunately I had wet clothes inside and the lid is one of those that locks itself and it would not open. :( I called Whirlpool/Maytag to explain my situation and could not believe that they told me that they only have 1 authorized appliance repair dealer they work with in my area and that they didnt show any available appointments until 4 weeks from now? WHAT? Are you kidding me? I could not wait that long, especially since I had soaking wet clothes sitting inside the washer.I asked if I called someone else myself and have it repaired sooner, would they reimburse me for the expenses. They refused to do that and told me I need to wait for their own authorized repair dealers. Talk about bad customer service here :( My husband called them back and asked to speak to a supervisor at Whirlpool and was told that it shouldnt have to be that long for us to wait for repair so why was I told that in the first place? The supervisor proceeded to tell my husband that we will get a call back in 5 days? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 5 days just for someone to CALL us? And then have to wait longer to get our service done? No way!We think that Whirlpool sold Best Buy a lemon and we are paying for it! Why cant they say that they will get in touch with Best Buy so they can deliver a new working machine and take this lemon back? We are not happy with their responses so we will be paying Best Buy a visit to see what else we can do. I already spent unnecessary money to go to a laundromat to wash clothes :( I would recommend that people stay away from Whirlpool products. Well see if we can exchange ours for another brand.

My new Whirlpool refrigerator has accumulated ice on the top of the freezer
My new Whirlpool refrigerator has accumulated ice on the top of the freezer compartment from day 1. I called Whirlpool and a repair was scheduled five weeks later September 12. The repair person said he needed a part and would order a new light switch and ice door parts from Whirlpool. Ten days later he came back with a new switch and instructions to file some plastic off the ice door part so it will close properly. It only partially worked; ice stopped forming in the ice chute but still formed on the top around the light switch. The new switch is not flush with the liner and the plastic liner has a small crack starting at the switch. How Whirlpool wants to cut out a six inch square of the liner including the switch and glue in a patch. This patch would only be warrantied for the balance of my one year warranty. I find this unacceptable and will complain to the store where I purchased the refrigerator.

I have had almost all the same issues everyone else who reviews the Cabrio WTW7800XWO washer. Now, the spring loaded lid wont stay up, so we have to use the Downy bottle to load the clothes. Thankfully, I have not had the lid crack... yet. We have had it serviced once while under warranty, that tech told us it wasnt good to wash small items, like socks. Are you kidding me? Now, the heavy lid falls on you while you are loading. I also have the Cabrio dryer, and we have fixed that more than the washer. DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL CABRIO. We bought it because it was the largest unit in the store, but it is junk.

I have always purchased Whirlpool products and when we were hit with a flood I had to purchase a new washer & dryer. Naturally I bought Whirlpool. I have regretted this purchase ever since. I wish I had known about this website before my purchase & been able to read the reviews. This washing machine is the worst appliance I have ever purchased. The clothes get clean SOMETIMES. It takes FOREVER to do a normal size load of wash. I will have to think long and hard before ever buying a Whirlpool appliance again. I cant believe you ever made such an inferior product. You should be ashamed of yourselves for duping the public.

I purchased a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in Jan 2014. The first thing I noticed was the installers bought the appliance in without a box. The next thing I noticed was the door would not close unless you gave it a big push. While looking around at the hinges, I found 2 hairline cracks at the base of the refrigerator and 2 dents. I called Service and they sent a technician out. The technician told me they are going to want to epoxy this and you will see it. They asked did it get delivered in the box, I said no. I asked why, she said it should have been delivered in the container so you would know that it is new and not a rejected one from a customer. I called Whirlpool to voice my issue with having this epoxied. Kecia was the CSR...she said that is the normal repair for a crack. I told her I had a Kenmore refrigerator for 23 years and it was still functional when I bought this. I replaced it to get the energy savings. I told her I wanted the refrigerator replaced. I told her that the cracks tells a story about the quality of the appliance. I asked her what happens if these cracks expand after the year warranty expires. She said you can buy the extended warranty. I said but the existing warranty will not cover the cracks...what will the the extended warranty do? I asked if there were any recalls...she said no. I asked have there been similar complaints about cracks and dings (not that I thought she would answer yes). She said no unless someone had stepped on the base of it. I told her I lived alone and I definitely did not step on the base of the refrigerator. She got aggravated (almost to the point of being rude) and said Mam, no one said you stood on the base. I asked her repeatedly if there was someone else I could speak with. Her repeated answer was I am authorized to speak with you. She wouldnt let me to speak with anyone else. I am done with Whirlpool and stuck with this substandard refrigerator. Not happy at all in Va.

I bought it a year ago and the warranty is not even up and only in about a month the freezer door handle keeps falling off then the stainless steel which probably is fake is rusting too. They replace the handle and the door and the handle still keeps falling off and the doors are rusting again. My GE stainless steel dishwasher and stove are five years old and there is no rust on them. Whirlpool says it is cosmetic and that its not covered under the year warranty. I will never buy Whirlpool again. Awful customer service!

Bought brand new, Whirlpool front load washer and dryer, from Corbeil. Got both items home and connected and levelled (yes I took out the shipping bolts). Did my first washing and watched my new washer dance across the floor. Called Corbeil and they told me no refunds. Best they could do was to send out a Tech to check it. Tech came, changed the shock absorbers, a token act because the machine danced as much as it did before. Please for your own well being DO NOT buy this product and DO NOT buy from Corbeil. There are other products on the market that advertise items that dont shake.

Doesnt wash clothes properly - often some items of clothing just dont get wet. After 3 years the whole main bearing in it failed, causing unbelievable noise and constant overload faults. All Whirlpool top load washers have this critical design fault where water leaks into the main bearing (the bearing is an unsealed type with a cheap grommet seal) and then after a year or 2 the bearing starts to cease and the machine overloads itself trying to operate. Replacing the bearing means pulling the whole machine apart - and with a cheap press-fit bearing like this, special tools are needed and it will never operate smoothly again anyhow. In any case in 2 years, the faulty bearing seal design will let water destroy the bearing again. Effectively it is not repairable. Sounds like class action to me. So, it became an $1000 paperweight and I bought a new Samsung unit. I assume the Koreans know how to design bearings and seals...

I purchased 5 Whirlpool appliances when I moved into a new home approximately 5 years ago. The selection buttons on the plastic panels on the front of 3 (dishwasher, washer and dryer) out of the 5 appliances has either broken completely through or are in the process of breaking through, leaving an ugly appearance on the front of the appliances. When inquiring if I could replace these panels, I was told that one (dishwasher) would cost me $100.00. I believe that the structure of these panels has been extremely poorly manufactured. Why would you put perforation around each button? It is obvious that they would push through. What can Whirlpool do for me?

Whirlpool Gold refrigerator WRF989SDAH00. I purchased this French door refrigerator based on past experiences with Whirlpool and sad to say this is not the same quality product I have know Whirlpool for. After the warranty ran out, it died. The first service company I called identified the problem as a known (to Whirlpool) design flaw. They would not touch it and referred me to contact Whirlpool. I did and the company referred me to Dinos Appliance Factory Service (in Phoenix AZ). They came out and confirmed it was a design flaw. They replaced the evaporator and compressor and it lasted about 6 weeks.

Whirlpool Gas Range Model WFG524LAB0 - Purchased on 09/2013. Product works well but noticed back in July 2014 that cook top was not cleaning well. Did not mind it that much thinking it was just baked on grease and would just do a general cleaning when I get to it. After the holidays and now getting around to clean the range top, I discovered the cause of range top not cleaning well. The porcelain was chipping away.Today I called Whirlpool customer to complain and see what they do. They replied that it was just a cosmetic blemish and that was not covered under warranty. I told them that that cosmetic blemish lead to rusting and eventually result to failure of the product. They also said it was out of warranty but was eager to have a tech come over to check the problem out for additional fee.

From the time I had the Cabrio top load washer, it has been repaired at least 8 times. I did get the extended 2-year warranty. I should have known that this machine was going to give me problems from the first service call. I have had to have the motor replaced 4 out of the 8 times the machine has been serviced due to coins getting into the motor. I have a problem with rust around the dispenser. I also feel that the clothes get very tangled when washing. The machine is just 5 years old. This time when I called for repair with A&E appliance repair, they told me that it was going to be $450.00 to repair. Now, I am not going to repair it, especially after having all the problems I have had with it. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product or any of their other products that they make. I did call Whirlpool just to let them know my problem and to let them know that there have been hundreds of complaints with the same washer that I have. It‚€ôs too bad that Whirlpool has no respect, passion or pride in what they make. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be anything related to Whirlpool.

This is my third Whirlpool refrigerator. The first two lasted about 20 year
This is my third Whirlpool refrigerator. The first two lasted about 20 years each, and although not fancy, they were always serviceable. This one is different.Because of my kitchen cabinets, the only refrigerator with as much storage capacity (cu ft) as my old one was what seemed to be an almost identical Whirlpool, with the only exception being a slight difference in the ice maker. But this one is a disaster. The water/ice dispenser has been changed to one with one space only for your container. The water that comes out is warm, because the routing of the tube has been changed and it no longer goes through the chilled refrigerator space; the ice pours out so hard that usually half of it lands on the floor. In order to operate the dispenser using anything with less than a 4 diameter, you need two hands: One to depress the lever behind your glass and one to hold the glass farther away from the refrigerator. Failure to do that results in a wet mess. After dispensing crushed ice, it continues to send small pieces flying long after I change the switch to cubes. But that is the least inconvenience. In an apparent engineering change to meet energy efficiency, the new refrigerator recycles air from the freezer to the refrigerator compartment. That and other changes in the frost-free engineering have resulted in:Uneven cooling in the refrigerator. In fact, it froze $1800 worth of insulin pens. I was advised by the Whirlpool representative that I shouldnt have put them on the shelf where the vent from the freezer spews out freezing air. Spoiled food in the freezer. Everything in the freezer develops a thick coating of ice crystals within a short time. This dries out the meat, shrinks the popsicles, and destroys the quality of fish and fowl. At this moment, I have two pork chops that defrosted in a plastic container on my kitchen counter. I bought them fresh, and now the 10-12 oz. of pork is swimming in over 1/2 c. of water.Interior fittings are poorly made and shelves and drawers do not work easily. The allegedly stainless exterior is difficult to clean, and many reviewers have remarked that they find rust within a few months. I could go on. There is more poor engineering, and an array of noises filling the kitchen, but you get the picture. I wish I could trash this refrigerator and buy a good one, but that isnt feasible both because of budgetary and space constraints. The last service person who came out sighed and told me that the refrigerator was cold, and that meant that the unit was operating okay! I HATE this refrigerator and struggling with it from day to day. My hope is that no one will buy a Whirlpool ever again. I certainly wont.Updated on 12/05/2017: Whirlpool, faced with my wrath over a refrigerator set on LOW that froze $1800 worth of insulin, provided a replacement (25 Cu Ft side-by-side refrigerator). I have owned two previous Whirlpool refrigerators -- for 20 years each -- as well as other Whirlpool major appliances. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCE. The replacement is deficient in every design and functional aspect I can think of. Temperature is uneven in both freezer and refrigerator. Food in the freezer is coated with snow within a week and dried out and spoiled within a month. Ice comes out with such force that it ricochets out of the glass and around the floor. Water from the dispenser is warm. Leafy vegetables spoil within 2 days. Whirlpool sent technicians who informed me that the unit was working properly because it was cold. PIECE OF JUNK! DONT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY WHIRLPOOL!

I am completely dissatisfied with the Whirlpool Cabrio top loading machine. Our washing machine is less than one-year-old. It doesnt get the clothes clean, especially the darks, and it is so rough on the clothes that they come out twisted tied into knots. The dark clothes come out dirtier than they went into machine. Even though we use the dark detergent on the dark clothes and program for an extra rinse cycle, the clothes come out with white powder all over them. They need to be washed again and sometimes again. And sometimes they still dont come out clean. That is not very energy efficient. The clothes come out of the machine so wrinkled that everything needs to be ironed. I can imagine making washing machine that doesnt do its primary function, which is to get clothes clean. Todays families do not have time for this extra work.

We relied on consumer reports as the primary source for a recommendation on this washer. Just under two years old, it started making a noise, which suddenly went away. Then one day the machine would not spin and drain, and we could not decipher the error code into anything useful. I turned the machine over to find that the drive belt was half-on/half off the pulley on the drive motor. This caused the belt to ride against the belt guard and wear right through it. I removed the belt and determined that the cause of the problem was that the large pulley on the drum was loose. For some reason the nut which holds that pulley on was slightly loose, causing the pulley to wobble. Not sure why they didnt use some Loctite on that nut. I put everything back together and tightened the nut. No problems and I checked it a month later, everything was still good. Fast forward to last week, when the machine was not yet 3 years old. Same thing, washer would not spin and drain. Tipped machine over to find that the belt had fallen off, the drum pulley was again loose. But this time the belt had damaged the pulley on the motor. I figured, no problem, just order a new pulley. Well you can buy just the pulley on the drum, but the pulley on the motor is part of the motor, it cannot be ordered by itself. The cheapest I could find the motor online was $250. We decided to cut our losses and buy a new machine. We will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance (or anyone elses by the same manufacturer, i.e. Maytag). Our last Kenmore washer lasted 23 years. Oh but it had an agitator and wasnt listed as HE (High Efficiency), so I suppose the environmentalists would get the dry heaves thinking about the impact of that washer on the environment. But it was useful for 23 years. Now this High Efficiency Whirlpool is headed for the recycling pile. Sorry, I think this hurts the environment more than an appliance which just works year after year. Yep, they took a design that worked and now we have energy/water efficient washers that dont last very long and are so expensive to repair that the solution is to just buy a new one.

We will never, I repeat, never buy another Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid or Maytag (other than the Maytag dishwasher) product again. After just two years on the Cabrio washing machine, the bearing on the wash tub began to go out. As it was out of warranty, the cost to fix was greater than just buying a new machine. This was a known problem and Whirlpool failed to remedy the problem. Based on this experience, we went with an LG as a replacement. Before you buy anything, research it.

I bought a new Whirlpool electric range in the spring of 2008 and purchased the extended warranty from Leons. The oven worked fine for the first three & 1/2 years, but then the bottom element in the oven seemed to have stopped working. The top element would still come on, in an effort to keep the oven at temperature, but was not effective.I called in a repair. The technician showed up, turned the oven on, noted that the bottom element did not come on properly & replaced the motherboard in the control panel with no further diagnosis. The oven worked for approximately 9 months and then the problem recurred. I called in another warranty repair. This time when the technician showed up, he turned the oven on & told me he was going to order a new bottom element, which he installed about a week later, again, with no further diagnosis. Now, here we are again, one month off warranty and 6 mos since the last repair, and again, the bottom element in the oven is not working correctly. I reported the issue & my dissatisfaction to Whirlpool and was basically told, How sad, too bad - hardware components fail and theres nothing we are going to do about it. Seriously? This range is just barely 5 years old and has a history of repeated problems with the bake function - obviously, something is defective in this product.I can see it, if I had not had any problems until this point, but when the same issue keeps coming up & obviously has not been correctly diagnosed and repaired, I would think they would have enough integrity to offer some kind of help or solution. Given the history here, its highly unlikely that Im going to be willing to spend big bucks on another attempted repair that, in all likelihood, will be merely a short term band-aid, so Ill probably have to buy another new range - which I cant really afford right now. Trust me, it will not be a Whirlpool & it will not be from Leons.

I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator 8 months ago model # WRF560SEXM which is less than a year old and already Im experiencing problems already. I have owned several refrigerators in the past which were older models and less sophisticated, and all of them lasted well over 10 years with no major issues, so to buy a new refrigerator through Whirlpool and have it malfunction in less than a year is unacceptable. Customers deserves better than this especially at these prices. My malfunction occurred when my ice maker stopped working and the internal temperature stopped working altogether, which caused all my food to spoil which had to replaced which was very expensive which infuriated me more and because my service appointment was a week away. I LITERALLY had to order out for food and purchase ice. And if this happens again I will have replace food and order food out again. WHIRLPOOL dont realize the impact this has on its customers. We purchased this washer in 2017, its the top loading Cabrio washer and it has been nothing but junk since day one. Purchased from RC Wiley in Boise and unfortunately did not buy the extended warranty because we trusted that this American company would make a washer that would last longer than 3 yrs. My 15 yr old about has a heart attack when he uses the quick setting and his clothes arent done in an hour and a half. Ive even resorted to turning the thing on to just rinse and spin so things get done sooner, still the stupid washer just sits. I would sell it but I dont want to pass on the pain, so its going to the dump to or to Goodwill cause its not worth the headache. Too bad you cant trust an American company to make a good product. Sad I really wanted to like this washer.

My Whirlpool oven (Model WFG505M0BS0) stopped working - the bottom oven part (the top burners were OK), the display on top functioned normally, but no fire came on. I called Whirlpool, and then I accessed Whirlpool online and scheduled service with their official service representative - Flamingo Appliance Service ** for September 9, 2020. When the repairman arrived on 09-09-2020, he opened up the stove and checked it, and he told me that a computer part needs to be replaced, as well as the igniter, and the cost would be between $400.00 and $600.00 (I dont remember the exact amount), I told SEVERAL times, maybe its just the igniter (for which the cost would less than $100.00 AND already included in the $134.95), but he insisted that the computer needed to be replaced, I did not like the way he explained it to me, it did not make sense. After that I was planning to buy a new stove, as the repair was too high. But, I decided to try to change the igniter myself before getting rid of the stove (the igniter cost was $21.00). I just got the igniter recently, and installed it, with help from YouTube, and what do you? THE STOVE IS WORKING!!! This is fraud!!! FLAMINGO APPLIANCE SERVICE ARE THIEVES, AND BY ASSOCIATION, WHIRLPOOL, WHOM THEY REPRESENT ARE THIEVES ALSO. I shall publicize to the best of my abilities: NOT TO BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS!!! This was not a mistake!!! This is the way they rip people off!! Either by paying exorbitant amounts for unnecessary repairs, or by buying new appliances when the old ones are still good. Dont buy Whirlpool!!! Dont use Flamingo Appliance Service. Theyre both fraudsters.

Bought Cabrio 3 years ago, started getting ul code and f1 code. We leveled machine, but cycle kept getting stuck mid-cycle. Called repair guy, they say it is going to cost between 6 to 800.00 to fix???? Really. Its three bloody years old. Very disappointed. Do I now get it fixed or break down and buy another washer. I would not buy Whirlpool again. Very pissed.UPDATED ON 02/05/2015: We called an appliance repair company and initially paid $440.00. After installing a motherboard computer system, it still did not work. We were then told that the other part would be another $120.00. We were already soaked for $440.00 so we decided to pay. After that was repaired the washing machine was still stalling mid cycle. We were then told that it has something to do with the wiring and it would cost another $120.00-$140.00. Needless to say, we declined. Complained to whirlpool that machine was three years old. We are pissed and $570.00 out of pocket. Just bought a lg front loader and paid for a 5 year warranty!!

The stove started having problems about 5 months after I bought it new, it had a 1 year warranty on it so the first repair was covered but it begun to have the same problem a few months after the repair. By the time I contacted the company they told me the warranty was expired and ask if I wanted to buy another year of coverage for $300, of course I said no. I repaired it myself and once again it worked for a few months and now the problem came back. Will not heat up so dont waste your money.

We bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in September 2009 for $898, which was a lot then. Last fall the ice maker jammed and started dumping ice in the floor. Yesterday, we noticed that things in the freezer werent solid. After checking, we found our frozen food had thawed and things in our fridge werent very cold either. We called Whirlpool which was no help. Then we called a repair man who told us, ‚€úThere was a leak in the seal system and it was low on freon. Would have to replace a compressor, evaporator and it would be better and cheaper to just buy a new refrigerator. It has just turned 4 years old. I called Whirlpool again and they said they didnt know why it went bad. I said is it a recall or just a bad refrigerator. The girl was no help at all; I kept asking to talk to a tech and finally asked for their corporate office address which she said was 553 Benson Rd., Benson Harbor, Mich. 49022. I now have to buy a new refrigerator and it will not be a Whirlpool.

In 2007 our Whirlpool 30 gallon gas water heater began to have issues. Serial number 0425126675, Model Number FG1F3030T3NOV. The pilot light kept going out and would not stay lit.. After several times with replacement parts being sent with the same thing happening, finally in 2010 they replaced the water heater. A new water heater was professionally put in, serial number 1023T412357 Model number BFG1F3030T3noHV.I am having the exact same issue and I was told that the warranty was null and void on the new water heater because it was a replacement. They replaced a defective water heater with a defective water heater. I called the number given to me by Lowes 1/877/817/6750. I spoke with Nichole. I told her that I should not have to pay for replacement parts for a defective water heater. I told her that I was never informed that there would not be a warranty. I live on a fixed income and cannot afford to buy another water heater because I was given a defective water heater in replacement for a defective water heater. I became angry stating, Thanks for nothing and I hung up. So many people have the same problem with these water heaters that something MUST be done.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio topload washer (WTW7800XW2) in April 2011. In May 2012, I noticed the door was broken on both sides. It has now popped up and is broken so bad that it can barely be used without replacing it. I called Lowes, where it was purchased, to quickly be told that there was nothing they could do because it is out of the years warranty. This is just such a copy out to have an excuse, so that they would not even offer any assistance. Also, I paid $2,000.00 for the set; I bought the dryer as well. I just could not imagine an expensive machine like this having such a problem. Prior to buying this machine, I had my washer for 10 years. It has no problem; it was just time to buy a newer model, so I thought! After the store (Lowes) would not help, I decided to call Whirlpool; and the woman I spoke with was even less help. Andrea said there was nothing they could do since it was outside the year of manufacturers warranty. She seemed glad to have this as an excuse. I told her this is too much money to have something like this to happen. I told her it is obvious the door was defective. She said again sorry but that theres nothing she could do. She did offer to sell me a warranty for a year for $327.52. This was too expensive. I asked her what else could she do, and she told me nothing. I asked how much the door was, and she told me $212.00. I feel like I have been royally and deliberately ripped off, and Whirlpool knows it. I say to anyone reading this to please be aware if you are purchasing this product. You will most likely be sorry you invested all this money for it. You will get a companys brand that does not care and will not stand by their product.

My WTW4900BWO failed after about 2 1/2 years. Out of warranty, but I called Whirlpool Customer Service and was initially delighted that they offered to sell me a repair warranty that would cover the repair of my broken transmission. Was told that through AIG Insurance, I would have a repairman at the house tomorrow to repair the washer. A few hours later, their contracted local repair service called to try to push appointment back a day but I refused since I was told my washer would be repaired tomorrow. They showed up the next day in a old faded van, diagnosed the problem and then told me they would have to get authorization and come back in 3-4 days. A couple of days later I received a voice mail from AIG saying that since the cost of repair was more than the cost of the premium, they were canceling my policy & would refund my money. So a week later I still had a broken machine and no solution other than buying a new one or paying the cost of a new one to repair. Moral of the story: Whirlpool builds unreliable washing machines (and water softeners) and their customer service will promise you a repair that may not happen. Dont buy Whirlpool, but if you feel compelled, you better buy an extended warranty and cross your fingers. That said, we always had purchased GE appliances and never had a problem.

I bought a 3 burner glass hob under your built-in cooktop category (model no. AKCG 930-90 cm) in Nov. 2015 from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In the month of April 2015 I started having problems with the medium burner. The problems was rectified on 29-4-2017 after some replacements that cost me Rs. 5000. After two months again the same problem occurred, the medium burner was not igniting again, I registered a complaint on 5-7-2017, the representative came and did some maintenance and left but the same problem resurfaced after a few days.I was fed up of complaining and started using the burner during necessity by placing a weight on top of the knob. Finally on 15th Feb 2018 while I was using the stove the glass top cracked into pieces. My experience of the companys built-in cooktop is horrible and bitter. Every time I registered a complaint the representatives used to attend the complaint after 2 weeks and that too after so many phone calls. I am really dissatisfied with the service and quality of the product. I therefore strongly recommend customers not to buy this product.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio 5.3 cubic foot washing machine to replace a Samsung equivalent machine. I am so extremely disappointed with it. As a mother of nine (seven of them boys) I need a quality machine. Unfortunately this is not one. The clothes come out of the machine just as dirty as they went in. The pants still have dirt on the knees. I think a rinse in the sink would yield better results. I use the highest soil setting, warmest water fabric will allow, and exclusively Tide detergent. I only fill the tub with half a load (completely voiding the value of large capacity) and yet still have to run clothes through twice.I really don‚€ôt have time for this. All the kids clothes have to be inspected before drying. I wish I could go back in time and keep my Samsung which was recalled. I would rather take the risk of an exploding machine than deal with this one any longer. Unfortunately, after spending over $1000 on the washer (and buying the matching dryer) I‚€ôm stuck with this useless machine. I hope others don‚€ôt make the same mistake I did.

1.0 out of 5. This is the absolute worst washer that I have ever owned. Do NOT fall for the top loader hype. The clothes do not get clean. Anything black constantly comes out with a white residue and whites are dingy. Ive tried numerous detergents and used as little as a tablespoon and still get the same results. The company just insists that its too much detergent or that I need to run the clean cycle after every 4-5 loads. The service guy that came out said this is the number 1 complaint with these washers and Ive talked to plenty of friends that experience the same issue. The company would have you think this is the first time they have heard of it.I have spent hours on the phone with whirlpool and Home Depot over the past year and neither accept responsibility or offer any solution other than some free cleaning tablets from Whirlpool and Home Depot offered $200 off the purchase of another washer. This was when the washer was only 6 months old. The only way around this is to rewash the clothes and a second cycle and to wash all loads on bulk load with an extra rinse. Yep. Great water savings there! Save yourself the headache and dont buy a top loader of any brand and I would never buy another appliance of any kind from Whirlpool and Home Depot because of their poor customer service in handling this common issue.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine - We purchased the (best name brand) from Get It Now and all we ever had was problems. We will fill the washer 1/2 full of clothes and the clothes on top would not even get wet. So we have to do it again, to make sure the rest of the clothes were washed. Many times there was white smudge marks on the clothes, sorta like powder (we use only liquid soap that you recommend). Today I washed a child‚€ôs bedspread for the 4th time because the stains would not come out (from a cookie). I had to turn the bedspread twice just to get it wet. I used bulk load and heavy duty load and it doesnt work. Your product is a very big disappointment for the price a person has to pay. I will recommend that no one purchase this product. Your people need to do further research on who this machine cleans clothes.

Aqualift self clean oven??? I followed the directions on how to clean my oven. I wiped and scraped out spilled residue from the oven. Then started the cleaning process. The sides of the oven were not cleaned even when I wiped them with a damp cloth. Scrubbing and scraping with the tools that came with the oven helped somewhat. The bottom of the oven was not cleaned. I had to continually scrub and scrape to get it looking half clean and even then, there were still spots that would not clean away. I would have preferred an oven that uses oven cleaner, it gets the oven much cleaner and with less scrubbing on my part. All in all I am very dissatisfied with the oven and would never recommend it.

Whirlpool Gold Series French door, bottom freezer. - This fridge is beautiful. Thats as far as the pros go for it. The Freon is leaking and cant be repaired because of where the leak is coming from. I can always tell when its time for a recharge because it leaks water profusely when at a low charge (every 4 to 6 weeks). We paid over $1800 for this fridge back in 2013. It has been just over two years and we are now having to replace this fridge. I cant express my frustration at this point. Whirlpool wont do anything to help us. They told me, You are out of warranty, and thats all they have to say. Thats over a thousand dollars a year to own this POS when you consider taxes. Over $1250 a year when you consider the service calls along with it. I will not purchase another Whirlpool product ever again. I am disgusted by this company and their refusal to stand behind their product. They have literally stole money from me and are laughing about it. Do yourself a favor and stay far from Whirlpool.

The duet washer is just over one year old and started showing F25 code on screen. It had been making a really loud noise in the spin cycle. Last week, a really loud noise and then the loads wouldnt be spun. There was a puddle of water on the floor near the machine. We had a repairman out today and he stated that theyre repairing these machines all the time. He stated it was the bearing and that theyd been told that Whirlpool had installed bad bearing from a different supplier. I called the Whirlpool experience and after 4 minutes and 19 seconds, I actually spoke with a service rep. She said since my machine is less than one month over the one year warranty, Id have to call the extended warranty people. I asked for a supervisor and after 2 minutes and 38 seconds, she came in line and wouldnt budge from her story. They also stated that there are no service issues with this model washer. Extremely poor attitude and Whirlpool is doing everyone, whoever purchased a duet washer, a terrible job on these washers. At least, Ive now found out that there are a lot of other folks out there with the same problem. We need to get some attorneys to start a class action just like the mold/smell customers did already. Sad, sad day for Whirlpool as Id been a customer all my life.

My landlord replaced our old Whirpool topload washer with a Whirlpool HE topload machine last year. Looks sleek, lots of settings BUT IT DOES NOT GET CLOTHES CLEAN - not on any setting, not if loaded as recommended or under-loaded, not if I use more or less detergent, and not if I follow all the tips for getting rid of residue. This machine so under-performs I have to spot clean my clothes AFTER I was them. And were not talking deep dirt or grime here, or things that need special treatment, Just ordinary dirt dirt, to which the machine adds gray streaks of dirty water residue. Thank God I didnt buy this turkey for myself -- I will NEVER buy one of these machines. I did two small rugs today and they came out dingier than they went in. These machines should be recalled. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio model # wtw5500xw2 about two 1/2 years ago. Besides my clothes not clean, I havent have any problems with it until recently. Usually it doesnt spin. The clothes are left soak and wet. First the belt broke, then the lid lock, then the nut came off the pulley, then the splutch assembly. There was a few more problems in there. Now who knows what is wrong with it? It is one problem after another. It is a money trap. The CEO was just after money. There needs to be one big lawsuit against Whirlpool. After I find out what is wrong with it and the cost to fix it, I probably will just go buy a new washer/dryer set. And it will NOT be a Whirlpool.

Whirlpool washer Model WGD4815EW1. Bought this washer just about 4 months ago and right away I hated it but was told by people that all the machines had gone to the lid lock and that the government had mandated the energy saving devices on the machines so the machine will only put just a little water in the machine. I have been VERY VERY unhappy with this machine. My husband figured out a way to bypass the lid lock mechanism. Then after washing clothes many times I found out in order to get my clothes clean I had to just set the dial to Bulky every time OR I had to wash the clothes 2 times to get clean if I didnt. Once we bypassed the lid lock and then I figured out where to put the knob so the clothes would come clean I was fine until last week the machine just would NOT wash or do anything... it filled with water and just sat there until my husband got the water out. I located a Speed Queen from an appliance store and I am much happier. It does not have the CRAZY lid lock on it. I realize that some children are apt to mess with the washers. But I dont have children anymore and when I did I had a laundry room with a lock up high on the door so they could not play in the laundry room. I dont understand why this so called mandate could not have been done in a way as to allow those with kids to have the option on the machine with a built in code device to set the machine so the lid will lock and those of us without children in the house to opt out of the code to set the lid lock. NO REASON why we cant have a CHOICE. As far as I see it is a way for the government to try control more where they need to keep out. The cars have been designed with safety locks for children to keep them safe, but it is up to you to choose to use them. Same principle! Now for the mechanism to make it so the machine will only put so much water in the machine to wash. Youre NOT SAVING any ENERGY or WATER if you have to wash the loads twice!! This whole mandated business with the newer washer machines is a huge JOKE on everyone. I will be searching out used machines and having them rebuilt because I dont EVER plan on buying another one of these newer machines. If enough people stop buying them the manufacturing companies can raise some cane with the government to get the mandate lifted. NO I will not buy another Whirlpool washer. I encourage some of you out there who LOVE a challenge to figure a way to change the stupid motherboards on the newer machines and create a great business for yourself because if someone else can create it you can recreate it.

I purchased this Whirlpool, model YGY397LXUQ04, electric range in midsummer 2011 and used it very infrequently for approximately 5 months as we were away for 6 months during the winter. On approximately June 15, 2012, we found that the keypad would only register 350 deg. F for the oven if we pushed the bake button two times and the oven temperature would go up to 550 deg; F if we pushed the 7 button 3 times. In discussion with the service manager from Whirlpool, he advised that the stove was out of warranty and they would supply parts at no cost but we would have to pay the labor costs which in my estimation would cost over $200. After searching the internet for similar problems, it was evident that this problem was not uncommon. I am concerned about the quality of this product and if it can possibly be a fire hazard. I would not recommend this product as the quality, possible safety issues and reliability are a significant concern.

We purchased both the Cabrio Whirlpool washer and dryer approx. 3 years ago, while still under the manufacturers warranty the lid cracked upper right corner. It was replaced and we were told by the repairman at that time this is becoming a common problem that he himself has seen this exact failure to several of these washers. Whirlpool needs to fix the problem. Shortly after this happened we receive in the mail the information for the extended warranty. Due to having this already happen, I phoned the extended warranty department for Whirlpool and specifically asked if this same thing happens again will it be covered under the extended warranty. My answer Yes.Well it happened again, called extended warranty provided them with a detailed description of what happened, they would send someone to replace, the service gentleman arrived today, called Whirlpool and they denied the claim. So they LIED. I instill honesty in my children and am proud to say I hold honesty as a high value. We were told it was cosmetic, the glass is buckled and the lid has to be held down to engage the lock mechanism of the lid. COSMETIC, this is a SAFETY concern. Where have our American values gone... Whirlpool used to have them back in the day... Shame on you Whirlpool.

Top loading HE machine. Washer does not clean. I have tried all manufacture recommendations, changed detergents and tried laundry boosters, all to no avail. Tshirts, pants and socks routinely come out of the wash dirty and must be re-washed. This negates any energy savings. This distributor, whose name I received from calling the 800 number in your manual, did not send instructions on installation. I called Whirlpool and they did not have instructions on installation. The product is 4392949. In talking with your customer service department filters, I learned that the young man knew nothing about filters. He told me that the filter that I purchased was the wrong one. Its interesting that he tried to convince me without knowing my refrigerator model number. I asked if he wanted the model number and he said, yes, please. It was very sad how I had to do a song and dance with an idiot. I had no help from your company. I will return this water filter because I was not provided instructions for installation. Neither can your people produce them. For this reason, I will never purchase Whirlpool again.

I had one repair done while it was still under the 1 year warranty, but by the time it was 18 months old, it began leaking refrigerant. I purchased this refrigerator and have had problems with it from almost the beginning. First, the doors wholl not stay open long enough to remove items. The technician Whirlpool sent out said the cause was an uneven floor. I checked with a level and the floor is almost completely even. So, then it said thats the way it was intended to work. Isnt that what the adjustment wheels on the bottom are supposed to correct? They dont. One individual in Whirlpools customer service department told me that the doors were not a functional part of the fridge and, therefore were not covered by the warranty. What?Next the refrigerator leaked and ruined the ceiling in the floor below. A few weeks after that was fixed (the fridge, not the ceiling), the unit completely shut down and I lost a tremendous amount of food. Bad enough to have to go through this but then to have Whirlpool treat me so the horribly was absurd. Fridge broke on Friday and a service person came out on Wednesday. Tech tells me he has to order the part (control box) and I find out the next day that the part was on back order. I had already been without a fridge for a week when Whirlpool tells me the part was not available until 9/19 (this was on 8/6)! That was not an acceptable solution so I requested a refund or a new fridge. Nope, their job is to repair, not replace. They said they needed 7-10 days to see if they could get the part earlier. What? Then if it couldnt be repaired in a reasonable amount of time they would consider replacing the appliance. They would not define reasonable amount of time.I believe I spoke to about 10 or 12 different whirlpool reps, and was told 4 times that a supervisor would return my call. One person did call back when I was unable to answer the phone and I called her back within 20 minutes. Guess what, she wasnt available and she never responded to my 3 return calls. When I complained that I had spoken to so many different people and was tired of telling the fridge saga to yet another person who would not help me, she volunteered to be my point person. She gave me her direct extension and said she would handle my case. I left 3 or 4 messages for her and she never returned my call. In other words, I was constantly told that I would receive return calls but never did. In summary, no one cared that I had an almost brand new Whirlpool refrigerator that was not working and that the date I could expect a repair was indefinite. In addition to all of that, every time I called they were experiencing a high call volume. Maybe they could hire more staff? When this all started, Home Depot told me I had to go through Whirlpool because it was under their warranty for the first year. Finally I decided to go to the store (after all, I did pay them for the fridge). After 3.5 hours in Home Depot, they agreed to replace the refrigerator. I havent gotten it yet (they did send over a small loaner), I am really hoping this is the end of this fiasco. I want my life back!! !

I bought a whirlpool W 10632082A a yr ago. I read the reviews and thought it was a good product. I was wrong. It has never washed the dishes good. It has terrible screens that always get clogged. The dishes never get dry. I think the dishes would get cleaner throwing them in the yard and spraying them off with a hose. I would not recommend this product at all.

Model # WFG510S0AS1 SER #R30850040. Oven was installed NEW in the home I purchased in July of 2013. I used the cleaning feature on it in Nov 2014. I am amazed that it did not start a fire. Please see pictures attached. The whole control panel melted. This makes the oven unusable and extremely dangerous. I will need to replace the whole control panel. I followed the instructions completely in the manual provided for the cleaning cycle. It says in the manual to only clean the over this way as using easy off or any other cleaner will damage the inner surfaces.Whirlpool claims they have no knowledge of this problem but there are numerous complaints on their site about it as well as other internet sites complaining about the melting of the control panel. I need to know how to fix this problem and dont believe I should have to pay for something that is obviously a flaw in the materials used. It is extremely dangerous. Since these pieces of Whirlpool equipment were installed by the broker that originally purchased the home, I have no record of purchase. I can try and contact him and see if he has anything but kind of doubt he has receipts now.

On October 25, 2014, I lost my home, all of my belongings, and nearly lost my wife when my Whirlpool range model xfe371lvbo shorted out and caught fire. After spending thousands of dollars for an independent investigation to be conducted on the stove, it was determined that the control panel on the console shorted out, causing the fire. Since then, I havent had any response back from Whirlpool. I am in the process of meeting the required criteria for filing a claim, but have some questions, and everyone seems to be ignoring me. Please help.

Im with the rest of the people on here... The only mistake I made was not checking the reviews before purchasing a Whirlpool product. My washing machine is horrible... I dont recommend anyone purchase any Whirlpool products. Its cheap and has already stopped working twice in the last 6 months... I have had a repair man come out twice to replace the door locking mechanism... Not to mention the buttons dont work, they just slide back into the machine... Plus, you have to jump through hoops just to get the machine started the way you like it... If you make a mistake, there goes your whole ** load of laundry, not to mention the water wasted. Hell with Whirlpool - Dont ever buy a whirlpool product as long as you live.

Bought the Duet front loader washer and dryer. Nothing but problems and repairs. When I decided to throw in the towel and buy new machines my repair man convinced me to buy Whirlpool again - Cabrio. Said they are amazing. Love them except the holes in my shirts. I bag my delicates but apparently I have to bag everything. So sorry I bought them. There was a day when you could count on Whirlpool. Replacing my crappy Whirlpool gold refrigerator right now too. Hoping LG will be better. Already replaced my Whirlpool dishwasher. Went to Maytag. This company has gone downhill. My mom had these appliances for 20 plus years - I spend thousands and cant get 5 years!!! Dont buy Whirlpool!

I purchased an HIE washer one year ago this month. I have never been happy with the cleanliness of the clothes when they came out of the wash. The only way to get them moderately clean is to wash a few items at a time and even then the whites, especially socks, seem dingy. I noticed the new Whirlpool washers now have an extra setting to add more water to the machine, so the executives have realized there is a problem with the original model.I think Whirlpool should give all customers who previously purchased the models without this feature a trade-in option to get the newer model that fills with more water or for another model with the full spindle that has worked well for so many years. I have been very unhappy with the performance of this washer and would only hope the executives would do something to resolve this problem and satisfy previous customers.

Do NOT buy this machine. This has been the worst washer I have ever owned. There are times when my clothes come out of the washer and parts of them are STILL DRY! I pulled out a pair of pants I had worn while cleaning my attic and the cobwebs were still attached to the legs! Whirlpool basically told me, Tough luck, you bought it, were not doing anything, when I complained the day I bought it, and now years later it it continues to get worse. The machine was too expensive to just get rid of, but customer be warned - do NOT buy a Cabrio!

Ive spent more repairing this washer than what I paid for it new!!! Its really ridiculous that Whirlpool isnt more responsible for their equipment that doesnt stand up to their name! Ive replaced more things than I want to type but just to start the computer board, pump, bearings just to name a few. Each time I had my repairman out it was a minimum of $300 to repair. Ive had my repairman out 5 times to repair things. Thinking each time its cheaper to fix it than buy another which I surely didnt think I would be repairing it several time! At this point Im just sick to death that a washer that is for a home of myself and my daughter has broken down so much. I cant imagine what a family would go through. Even after all the repairs it still isnt right but Im done sinking money into this sinking ship of a washer! Its loud constantly stops due to un level so I have to move the clothes around usually having to repeat this several times before I can get the load to finish!!! Then they come out wrinkled more than they went in and I have to iron clothes. A person should NOT need to iron! May as well wash them in the river on a rock. It would be easier!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

I bought a Cabrio three years ago. Unless you wash everything on gentle and turn items with zipper inside out, it puts holes in everything. Then exactly one week after the warranty was up, it started giving an error code. I called the company and was told this was a common error and they would send someone to look at it for $150+. It would likely be another $300-$400 for parts and labor! I had someone else (not Whirlpool) come look at it and they said it was a bad computer that I should just replace the washer, because it would cost more than it was worth. So for two years, we have had to wait exactly 11 minutes for the washer to fault then restart it and repeat 3-6 times. It takes 2.5 hours to complete one cycle. If this is such a common error, why havent they fixed it or recalled the piece of junk?! Because they can make a lot more money this way! Three people I know have Cabrios and all have the same issue and all happened within a month of the warranty expiring. I am starting to think there is some sort of timer that makes it go bad just after the warranty expires on purpose. I will never buy another Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, or Amana (all the same company with different names).

We purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave WH32L19AS1 just over a year ago. {No we didnt buy the extended warranty.} We were reheating some food in the microwave at noon the other day and the microwave made very loud bang and started to hum really strange. We have since discovered the Megatron or something like that has gone out. Just parts $150.00. So we decided to trash the broken Whirlpool microwave. We did some googling and discovered that there is big trouble with this product.

My Whirlpool washer would start up but would not add any water. It sat there doing absolutely nothing. Then it showed a code on the screen. It said to disconnect the power for 1 minute and plug it back in, which I did. I repeated that process several times. Still nothing. It also said to call Whirlpool, which I did. They wanted the Model # WFW97HEXLO and Serial #, I gave it to the gal on the phone at Whirlpool. I was told it would be a week before they could get someone out there to take a look at it. Really!! I work 80 hours a week and live in the country. I dont have a week. When I asked where the service man was coming from, he was coming from another town. I asked if there was someone closer. She gave me another appliance stores phone number. They showed up 2 business days later, looked at my washer, verified the code along with the Model and Serial #s, telling me it was the control panel. I gave that information to them on a Friday, they showed up on a Tuesday. They knew what that code was and what it meant for that make and model washer, but there just had to be a service call in there. The part was ordered on that Tuesday... here it is the following Saturday and the part still isnt here. I do not understand what takes Whirlpool so long to ship the part. Do they not care that in this hustle bustle life we live in, we dont have time to wait for a part that may or may not show up. Ship it overnight. That is an option. Making the parts accessible to the service people in a timely manner would make great customer-service. Better yet, how about going back to the old-style washers. This high-efficiency non-sense is highly expensive.

Whirlpool Gold appliances are junk!!! Our dishwasher just stopped working one day. It was about 2 years old. We tried all the troubleshooting ideas we found on the internet. Nothing worked. I had a 13 Year old working dishwasher when I bought this one. Sure wish I had left well enough alone. I think there should be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool. I had also purchased a new electric range... It is constantly giving me an error message when I try to use the oven. We have to flip the breaker and that sometimes helps. I bought 4 of the Gold appliances... I‚€ôm holding my breath on the other 2. I thought I had done a good job researching before I bought. I remodeled my kitchen. Very unhappy all the way around with Whirlpool. The first refrigerator shipped had to be replaced, I do not remember the original problem, just the ordeal involved. The replacement had to have the computer board replaced twice, the icemaker stopped working after a few months, the freezer door does not seal properly. And now, after less than 3 years, the drain is clogged. After researching, come to find out this is a common problem and has resulted in many water damaged wood floors, including my own. Never Whirlpool again. There are much better brands on the market today with better price points. I highly recommend staying away from Whirlpool.

My wife and I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing the Whirlpool Gold
My wife and I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing the Whirlpool Gold Series, model #WRF989SDAM00 refrigerator two years ago...yes TWO YEARS AGO! We have experienced numerous issues with the appliance but our latest (no cold air in both the fridge and freezer) prompted a call to a service center. The serviceman that showed up knew immediately what the issue was, our compressor and evaporator had malfunctioned and according to him, We have seen the same problem in a number of these models and that Whirlpool has since redesigned the casing to prevent this issue in new models. What about those of us who purchased the previous model?! Now shame on us I guess for not purchasing the extended warranty...I suppose I just took it for granted that in todays competitive manufacturing world Whirlpool would be committed to building a quality product! Because of this I was offered two options from Whirlpool. #1 - pay for the parts yourself...over $800 or #2 - purchase their 1 year warranty program @ $350/year, this warranty will cover all parts and labor for an entire year. Based on my experiences though, I will need to purchase a 1 year warranty @ $350/year for the life of this lemon, potentially costing me $5500 over a 10 year period. I ultimately took option 3...tossed the piece of junk and bought a new fridge from their competition. Dont be fooled by the attractive design and appearance, the Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator is a money pit waiting to happen!

We have all kitchen appliances from Whirlpool, but it is not what we choose, that was builders choice. We, two people, are living in his apartment for almost five years, and first problem was with oven - the window in the door it is leaking somewhere, then microwave - the all front door plastic is cracking (we using microwave maybe twice a week) and is it placed under the oven. Now we have problems with fridge - the plastic inside the fringe is cracking. We called Whirlpool customer support and Whirlpool do not even want to hear it about the problems - they just want that same authorized technician will came to your apartment to inspect these problems for $95, it is not even important whose fault it is. This company, Whirlpool really DO NOT CARE about the products, which they produce - as long it is sells... Now we know, we made smart decision - do not accept the washer and dryer (we get it from Bosh - it makes me happy). Now we just wait till all Whirlpools appliances will stop working and never ever look back to Whirlpool.

We bought a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator in July of 2018 and it has gone out twice (quit cooling and has completely frozen over). The first time it went out at 6 months and the second was two days after the factory warranty expired (the warranty for the Whirlpool repair company lasted only 90 days for parts and labor which is useless). I‚€ôve called the company to come take a look and it will cost over $100 just to have someone come out since we are outside the factory warranty window by four whole days. I was basically told there is nothing they will do even though the same problem keeps happening. This refrigerator was brand new and didn‚€ôt even make it six months. Now we will need to either pay hundreds of dollars for repairs (knowing that the issue will likely happen again) or buy a new refrigerator. Even though we have barely had this appliance a year. I will never, ever buy Whirlpool products ever again. I also posted my negative rev on their official website and it never got published. They only show their 4-5 star reviews (all of which say the customer has been incentivized in some way). This is a misleading and sneaky process.

CABRIO GETS A ZERO RATING. We are sorry we ever bought this washer in 08. The unit had a defective main control board and was replaced in 2012. The factory authorized service agent from A&E literally robbed us of jewelry while in our home. Now the main electronic control board needs to be replaced again. Neither Whirlpool or their authorized agents are truly customer service oriented on the defective product. Neither are willing to make an honest attempt at regaining our trust. I have contacted both and neither will acknowledge or offer reconciliation. The problem with the main board and the recurrent F-50 error has been denied by Whirlpool although acknowledged in numerous consumer forums as this. Our family is now without a wash machine. We have not even received a simple apology for the theft from the service agency - even though their employee has been arrested. BEWARE!

This microwave oven has worked well now for about six months and overall we have no complaints. My only complaint is that it has a cheap feel to it, especially when the door is closed...it creates a rattle type hollow noise....it just does not sound like it is well made. Time will tell I guess. The unit works well and heats fairly evenly. The cook options are plentiful but we rarely use most of them as we are usually merely re-heating food or coffee. The defrost cycle does work well for us.We purchased this microwave oven as well as a Whirlpool Range and Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator at the same time from a small Home Depot. Whereas that store had the microwave on display it did not have the other two on display and therefore we purchased them sight unseen....a BAD, BAD mistake. I have reviews for those two so I will say no more about them here. Thus, overall, we are very pleased with this Whirlpool Microwave Oven and would recommend it.

I purchased a Whirlpool Water Heater Model # ND50T122-403 on March 4, 2011
I purchased a Whirlpool Water Heater Model # ND50T122-403 on March 4, 2011 from Lowes. I had it installed by Lowes and it included a 12 YEAR Manufacturers (WHIRLPOOL) WARRANTY, plus I purchased an additional 11 YEAR EPP (Extended Protection Plan) WARRANTY. About 3 weeks ago I had no hot water so I went down to my basement to check the water heater and it displayed 7 single blinks followed by a 3 second pause, which is a flammable vapor sensor lock-out code. I made sure there was no flammable vapor in the area, turned off the gas and pulled out the plug then called Lowes since I have an active warranty with them. They said I had to wait 3 business days for them to call back to set-up an appointment to have it repaired. I waited 3 business days including the weekend and no one called me back by the end of the 3 business days, so I called Lowes back and they set-up an appointment for a video store owner with a plumbing license to come over and try to fix it. Finally I thought I would have hot water after over 2 weeks without it, but the plumber started taking it apart and about an hour later said he needed to order a part and he would be back another day when he gets the part. He came back 2 days later to install the part and fix it, but he could not fix it. He called Whirlpool to report the issue and Whirlpool told him they would not honor the warranty because my basement was not safe. He then told me he would call Lowes to let them know about Whirlpools position and call me back. So when he called me back he said Lowes said the current warranty was under Whirlpool and their warranty was only effective after the initial 12 year manufacturers warranty was up, so they would not help any further. So after only 4 1/2 years with a 12 year manufacturers warranty and an additional 11 year extended protection warranty that I purchased from Lowes, Whirlpool will not honor the warranty that came with this water heater. I am going to take this to small claims court. Whirlpool and Lowes have terrible customer service policies. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product and I will NEVER again shop at Lowes. Please do NOT EVER buy a Whirlpool water heater! TAKE YOUR CLAIM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT FOR SATISFACTION! Maybe an attorney will put in another class action suit against Whirlpool and/or Lowes.

I bought the most deluxe and expensive washer and dryer I have ever owned. It is a Whirlpool Cabrio. The clothes come out of the washer dry, and all tangled up. I bought it new from Sears on July 2009. Now only two years old, and the washer sounds like a jet plane. I paid a repairman $90.00 only to be told this is common in this machine. The repair is expensive, and I would be better off buying a new one! I owned a cheap, little GE washer, which cost me $300; ten years, and never had a problem. Now my dream machine turned out to be a piece of crap. I will never buy a Whirlpool again!

We had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a Whirlpool product from Lowes. During Memorial Day weekend we came home to a freezer full of defrosted meat. After having to throw away 1/3 of a steer that we purchased from a local 4-H students project due to the temperature of the meat and not knowing how long it had been at that temperature. I called Lowes and they said there was nothing they could do for me since the freezer was over 1 month old. It was right at 2 months. (Purchase date - failure date). They advised me to call Whirlpool directly and gave me a number to the warranty technician. The warranty technician came and immediately found the problem. The defrosting connector was not plugged in when it was manufactured. Clearly a manufacturer issue. I called Whirlpool to find out how much of my over $1500 of meat they would cover. They told me they would not cover any of the loss. Then they offered me a 1 year extended warranty for free for my Inconvenience. What a slap in the face. Why would I need a warranty or even a freezer for that matter since I no longer have anything to put in it. Needless to say I will no longer purchase any products from Lowes or Whirlpool.

I thought when I bought the brand it was a good brand and they stood behind their stuff. Boy, was I wrong! I will never buy Whirlpool again! They should recall this washer!

We purchased this machine new and took delivery on 5/21/11. We did not start using this until late August of 2011. In late November we noticed a loud noise from the washer. When we contacted the sales company that sent out a repair person who informed us the bearings were defective. We have been told the parts are on back order for another 2-4 weeks. It has already been 4 weeks since they were out. Whirlpool was no help. They first claim we must have overloaded the machine, then relented saying that things happen. Either way I am without a washing machine we paid $1000.00 for another month; yet they will not extend my warranty at least for the time my machine is down. I am now worried about the damage that this unit may have caused to my new home due to water leakage, let alone the added expense to due my laundry since I must now use a service to provide for a washing machine I own.

I purchased a Duet several years ago and did not have a clue as to the problems everyone was having. Over the course of ownership I called the city to determine if we had a sewer leak. I had a plumber inspect our pipes. I felt really stupid that it took me this long to figure out it was the washer. I knew it smelled like mildew and have been using vinegar, afresh, Clorox until I am blue in the face. I didnt figure out that the sewers smell was also the same as the washers until I got on line and read about these machines. Finally, I lifted up the gasket around the door and it was completely black with mold. No amount of afresh was going to fix this problem. Do not purchase these front loaders. Feel like they should have been recalled and I really dont understand why they are still in circulation. I have also been having health/breathing issues and I cant help but think the mold is causing my illness.

My washer is nearly 7 yrs. old. It has almost been a full-time spectator sport. Good thing its in the kitchen! Twists sheets so badly - on sheets setting - that it stops and I must undo the balloon its formed and rearrange the wet, heavy 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases. Now, it cant even finish the clean washer cycle without stopping. It seems it doesnt use enough water to do the job of washing items thoroughly. And it balks at heavy loads - which is what we bought this washer to do - blankets, rugs, quilts, etc. Two people, now only one, and two small dogs. I should have at least 10 years of service from that purchase. Repairman says $300+, and he sees it as a very common code. Build them to last or give up. Im disgusted with Whirlpool now.

Whirlpool Duet - Front loading with additional base makes loading and unloading easy. We have had the washer and Dryer about one year now. They were replacements for Kenmore front loaders. We replaced a Kenmore front loading pair that served us faithfully for more than ten years. But when we purchased a new house we decided that it was necessary to upgrade to better units. The Whirlpool Duet pair has performed exceptionally well with one little caveat. Periodically we have to unplug the units to reset the computers when they dont function properly. Small problem, easily solved.

Purchased this washer in 2009 from Lowes, believing the hype that it was efficient. Since we only needed a Washer at the time, we overpaid (it is more cost effective when you buy both washer and dryer). So we paid $1000.00 for this machine (we purchased the stand as well). After the 1st year, there seemed to be a significant decrease in how fast the washer spun, as the clothes were coming out wetter. I didnt pay much attention, but 2 years later, the machine has a weird problem where it couldnt complete the cycle, and by this time, every time it Spun, the noise was louder and louder.I contact Whirlpool, placed a service call and the Technician came out. $225.00 later, there was a hose that was pinched that was sending a wrong signal to the washer. He fixed that and told me I should get a contract on the machine through Whirlpool since I seemed to be having problems. I purchased the contract, for $300.00, and 2 1/2 weeks later placed another service call, as the noise from the machine was happening every time I did laundry. The service guy came out, indicated that it seemed to be the Agitator, and that he would need to order parts, and that they had a SPECIALIST who only does this type of repair, since they have many! He also indicated that the hose may have crimped due to the movement of the entire agitator!Well, after not hearing from ANYONE for 2 weeks, I called the repair company who told me WHIRLPOOL was supposed to call and let me know that they would NOT fix the machine, as the parts cost more than the Washer, which is now valued at $500.00! No one from WHIRLPOOL EVER CALLED, and I cant understand how a $1000.00 Washing machine touted to be so efficient and environmentally friendly has been THROWN OUT after 3 years!!! And now I am out the $225.00 repair, have no washing machine, $1000.00 down the drain (and I forgot to mention a year later we bought the matching WHIRLPOOL DRYER and OVERPAID) and now have to purchase another machine, which I assure you WONT BE WHIRLPOOL! As most of us have experienced, WASHING MACHINES last for many years! The washer I had before this was over 20 years!!!! So much for efficient and environmentally friendly... The only thing GREEN about this machine is how much of my $$$ has gone to Whirlpool!

Had the fridge 5 1/2 years. Freezer quit working was told by 2 different repairmen it would cost $800 to repair. Called Whirlpool, was on hold 45 minutes, literally, both times I called. They could not help me. Called the corporate complaint line. The man I talked to was such a smart **! I finally said I cannot believe you are talking to me like this, I have bought Whirlpool for 35 years. He backed off slightly. Still couldnt help me. BTW, I LOVE my new Samsung refrigerator! Will NEVER buy Whirlpool again.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer - The washer does not stay balanced even
Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer - The washer does not stay balanced even with a very small load (even though advertised can wash King size comforter). Even with a light load, we have to put the dryer on Heavy Duty or Bulky...and usually have to dry a second time. When attempted to contact Whirlpool, no help available. WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER PURCHASED... Would not even want to GIVE this set to a friend or family member. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.
