We purchased this for our dad who works in his garage year-round. He has natural gas already to his home, so we hired a plumber to do the installation of the necessities, which took only 1 hour. The best features are the thermostat, which is wall mounted within reach. Several other heaters we looked at, you had to adjust at the unit, which is crazy when it is mounted at ceiling height. Highly recommended!

I installed this last fall and had it running for the entire winter. The temperature was set for 45 degrees. I do have a 2 car garage which is insulated. Because it is an attached insulated garage, it didn't have to run all the time. It worked very well for me. I found the stock thermostat to be accurate. Very happy with this heater. If I had one complaint, that would be, I wish the thermostat wire was longer.

The heater works just as advertised. Ensure you ventilate the space with either the wall vent pack that comes with the unit or crack a window. You will need the appropriate adapters and shut-off valve to make all the final connections. You can order a separate natural/propane gas connection kit with the unit; which is what I did. The pilot flame is a little large when the unit is not actually "on" but all works okay. As everyone else has noted also, the thermostat wire could be a little longer (only about 10' of wire provided). I would have liked to mount the thermostat further away from the unit. I have a separate thermostat in the space, about 25' from the heater, and the unit turns off way before the set temperature is actually achieved due to the controlling thermostat, which comes with the unit, is so close to the heater. You may want to have a separate longer roll of thermostat wire handy when you're installing the unit so you place the thermostat in a more appropriate place further from the unit. Remember, the unit is an infrared heater, it heats you and objects, not the air in the space.

I just turned it on for season three and it fired right up after another off season. My 3 car garage walls and door are insulated and it runs very little to keep the space at 45 degrees all winter in Michigan. I'll kick it up if I want to do something out there and it heats up in little time. I put a small fan on the wall next to it circulate the heat. Great little space heater.

I had a Heatstar heater in my garage for 22 years and decided to replace it. Enerco has definitely improved this heater over my original model. I leave the temperature on 50 degrees and only turn it up when I am doing something in the garage. It is great to get into a warm car in the winter. It heats the garage efficiently without driving up my gas bill. I highly recommend this heater to anyone living in a cold climate.
