Just installed this Model ME21H706MQS/AC microwave. Turned it on started on fire. Luckily we were right there and caught it. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves for manufacturing such product. We just bought all new Samsung appliances including stove, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. All top of the line items. It kinda makes you wonder what sort of crap they are making. Very concerned with their quality control. Bought at Home Depot Peterborough Canada.
I had a new Samsung refrigerator RF220NCTASR delivered July 2, 2014 and it hasnt worked properly from day one. I contacted Home Depot, where I bought it and they advised me I had to deal with Samsung directly. Despite two of Samsungs technician calls and numerous discussions with their Executive Customer Relations (ECR), there is still no resolution today! The refrigerator portion will not get any colder than about 45 deg. F despite the refrigerator being set as cold as it can be (seven blue lights). I have gone as high in their ECR as I can (according to them), with only apologies and broken promises to show. I faxed a letter to Samsung Canadas President on December 1, 2014 but have had no response. Samsung certainly doesnt appear to be capable or willing to resolve this basic warranty issue in a timely fashion.
We will never buy any Samsung appliances after our experience with them. We bought the Samsung RS22HDHPNSR/AA Refrigerator and within 2 months the ice maker stopped working. That is something we could live with. Then 1 year later, I noticed the freezer was defrosting and everything in the refrigerator was warm. Lights and power still worked but it was no longer cooling. We lost all of our food and I tried calling Samsung support but was directed to calling back during business hours. We are family of 5 with three small children, including a baby so not having a working refrigerator is stressful. My husband and I could not find a company open on the weekend that could service a Samsung. Two days later was a Monday and we finally got in touch with Samsung but our refrigerator was 1 year and 2 months old, not covered under warranty. They sent an appliance company, which we had to pay, for them to tell us the cooling system went out and no one can fix it. We told Samsung and they said they will do research since the cooling system is under warranty for 5 years. Still no word after numerous calls, holds, and terrible customer service. Finally they got back to us with no one can fix it, that we can submit our receipts for reimbursement, which we did. Then we moved ahead with buying a new refrigerator (different brand this time!) because it had already been 1 week without one and that is hard to do with small kids. Lowes was extremely helpful and hauled away the old one. We had to follow-up with Samsung AGAIN regarding the receipt/reimbursement. Terrible customer service, hold times for 40 minutes and longer, and they tell us they got our receipts and to hold onto the broken machine. Never once at the start of this process did they share that policy. We tried to track down its location with Lowes (Lowes again was extremely helpful) and find out it went to the same company who did the service call called that company and it had already been recycled. I called Samsung with again terrible customer service and they just keep repeating the policy even though we were told once we submitted our receipts everything was done. I asked if they hauled away the broken (dangerous machine with Freon in it) and they said Samsung does not provide that service that, I should have put it on my front porch. So I asked if they pay condo association fees for having broken and dangerous appliances outside my townhouse. What about the food we lost? Not to mention the stress and poor customer service, I would never recommend buying a Samsung anything to anyone. Samsung sells expensive refrigerators that stop working after 1 year and have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Am happy to be accurate and fair but why isnt same required of company? I owe it to everyone to advise that the Samsung refrigerator is a very poor investment. This refrigerator purchase was part of my kitchen remodel and after just 7 months it has flooded my kitchen floor. Their response when called for service - we can be there in a week. So think twice try any other brand - I have a Kenmore in my barn purchased new 15 years ago that still works and always has - not pretty or stylish but functions.Great difficulty discussing with tel reps due to poor language skills, fairness by a company that was paid on the spot for a product only in use 7 months that does not work as intended is not waiting a 4 days for service. If I had not paid immediately, it would have never been delivered or it would have been removed from my home immediately or I would have received a court action - most likely immediately. Whats fair about that? Whats fair about a refrigerator costing $3000.00 that breaks in 7 months? Whats honest about a refrigerator that makes the promise of quality, etc., that breaks in 7 months?
I bought a Samsung french door refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago. Paid $2000 for it. Model Rf28HFEDTSR. The coil in the back inside of fridge keeps freezing up and the fan cant work. The first time this happened I didnt realize the temperature in the fridge was only 60 degrees because the display read 37 degrees. I ended up with food poisoning and was sick for a week. Each time this happens you need to unplug and defrost the ice off the coil. NOT FUN. Samsung should recall these and compensate customers.
Purchased Samsung French door refrigerator in 2015. Within 6 months, an intermittent rattling of the fan was loud enough to keep me awake. I contacted Samsung and Loweâ€s at least 7 times without resolution. They made 3 visits, claimed not hear the noise and refused to repair or take back the refrigerator. I have recorded the noise. The noise is louder and more frequent now in 2018. My guests can hear it. I am so disappointed. Samsung deserves â€F†for customer service and product design.
I bought my fridge almost two years ago. And are nightmare start when are two doors fridge start mess it up. We call the support they told I have to call a repairmen. And the repairmen explain the problem is from manufacturer. So he explain the every time my freezer froze we have to unplug and let thaw and plug it again and it works, but we have to do it every two months which is headed we still saving up for another fridge but totally different brand. Now start making so many sound but I still dont know where it comes from exactly. So regret these brand. Should just stick to phones and not for appliances.
Holy **! You spend nearly $3,000 on a refrigerator, and 2 months outside of the standard 12-month warranty, the display goes out. 2 months? Really. The fact that they dont have enough faith in their own products to warranty a $2,800 unit for 24 months is ludicrous. I wish I would have read these comments beforehand. For those of you looking at the stainless steel 4 door fridge, model RF4287HARS, dont waste the money. Id love to see a class action on this.
I bought this Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBSR/aa in Nov 2014. The freezer door handle insert failed in Dec 2016. I have spent 2 months working with a repair tech, Samsung parts, and Samsung (Lack of) Customer. This small approximately $10 part has been discontinued. The only option is to spend $389 for a new freezer door and $125 to install it. My service tech (5 star rated) reported he spoke to the Samsung techs and determined Samsung has known about this problem for several years. It appears sells products with known defects, but does not want to support the customers. He also reported there are other Samsung parts which have been discontinued for relatively new units. The scroll compressor has a 10 year warranty. What good is that warranty if the rest of the refrigerator falls apart? By the way, the local authorized Samsung service company received an F rating from the BBB.
This oven heats quickly. It also has a warmer drawer, that has three settings. As most ovens do these days, it has self-cleaning. It also has a divider so that you do not have to heat the entire oven. It comes with three racks and a temp probe. Its got a bridge heating unit for cooking using a griddle, for example. Especially useful is the convection feature. Its easy to use, good features, clean easily, looks good.
Samsung dishwasher model DW80F800UWS was delivered on Nov. 28th. Looked great, but thats it. It left food in the bottom and food would be all over our other dishes too. My wife called the store we bought it from, Corbeil Appliance in Whitby. The sales lady told her she will have to call Samsung. So my wife did and they gave her a service center to call to check out the dishwasher. Now, the dishwasher never worked from the first day. My wife tried the dishwasher a few times and then called the store within 5 days of it being delivered. We should have been given a new dishwasher from the store and they should deal with Samsung for their horrible quality, but the store instructed my wife to call the service center. Can you believe a brand new Samsung product doesnt work the first time you try it and you have to call a service tech check it out? I guess that shows a lack of quality and assurance checks for Samsung. And Corbeil Appliance store should not be directing my wife to call Samsung after it never worked (and she called within 5 days of delivery). Anyways, the service tech came out on Dec.10th and said the sump pump is not working. They will order one from Samsung and then reschedule an appt. The next appt. was Dec.22 and the service tech put in the new sump pump and you guessed it... It did not work. So now it is almost 1 month later and we still do not have a working dishwasher. It is Dec. 23rd. Corbeil Appliances, the store we bought the Samsung dishwasher from does not care because they got our money no matter if the piece of crap works or not. Samsung doesnt care, when I called them they said I needed to have the service tech back. Why?, I asked. Samsung says, Because that is our policy, unless the service tech writes on the service order that the unit needs to be replaced. So I tried to call the service tech and they are on holiday until the New Year.So to sum it up, the Dishwasher was delivered on Nov. 28th and does not work, Corbeil Appliance was called to say the brand new appliance does not work. Corbeil Appliance told us to call Samsung. Called Samsung and we have a had 2 visits from the service tech and the dishwasher still does not work as of Dec.23rd. Samsung and Corbeil do not care that they sell brand new appliances that do not work. Please DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG products or buy from Corbeil Appliances in Whitby. To be continued in the 2016. Maybe the brand new dishwasher will be repaired during 2016 or who knows it could continue to 2017?
Samsung Microwave Model SMH9207ST - I purchased the microwave in October of 2011 from Lowes as part of our total kitchen remodeling. Lowes installed the microwave but I was not satisfied with the looks of it as it there were several paint repairs on the inside white frame. I went to the store and explained my concern to the manager. He sent out a new microwave and prior to installing it, I noticed that there were also visible white paint repairs but not as many as the first one. We agreed to accept the replacement. Post installation, my husband and I did extensive traveling. Given the time we were gone, I would say the microwave was used approximately 1 year. Yesterday, the microwave quit working. Approximately 2 hours later, I checked it again only to notice that it was very, very warm. I unplugged it and then plugged it in again. The lights went back on the panel but it was very noisy. Within 15 seconds, all lights went off again and it did not work again. I opened the door and realized that the glass plate was very hot. We thankfully took an extended warranty on all our new kitchen appliances but I can honestly say that after reading all the negative reviews on this model, I do not feel safe with it. I will definitely unplug it when we leave our residence for extended lengths of time. I would not recommend this model to anyone. Too bad there isnt a Lemon Law for appliances like there is for autos.
We got a Samsung microwave in 11/30/2013 and by June of 2014 first, the vent fan would come on when no one was home. So we call the repair line and they came out and change out parts. Then one month later, in July 15, 2014 did the same thing and when you turn it on, would get a SE and cut off. When the repair man call me to come out (without looking at it) and clear my schedule, said, I will order parts and then come out, so that means I need to wait again to see if he show up then.
Purchased the Samsung refrigerator Model #RSG257AARS on March 28, 2010 from HH Gregg. July 22, 2013, the refrigerator stopped working. We had never received a written warranty. Looked on Internet at Samsung website and it said there was a ONE-YEAR warranty. Called a repairman. Compressor was bad. Cost of repair approximately $1200. Cost of service call, $80. A couple of days later, the repair company called and said the compressor was under warranty and they would fix it. August 23, 2013 refrigerator stopped working a second time. According to the repairman, Samsung products are JUNK! We looked at Consumer Guides before purchasing and this refrigerator was at the top of the list. Why? I also found (on the Internet) a class action suit filed against Samsung for their shoddy refrigerators. Repairman said Samsung is flooding the market with products that are untested. We have a 45-year-old General Electric refrigerator in our garage that is working fine. That is where our food is right now.
Had a problem with the ice maker in my Samsung fridge (Samsung RFAERS266). Followed all the troubleshooting suggestions in the book, online, at the Samsung site, and on the phone with Samsung tech support. Finally scheduled an appointment for service through Samsung, technician arrived, unplugged the unit, plugged it back in, said that was all that was necessary to reset the computer, and left with my $100.00!! I wrote to Samsung and told them as a courtesy to their customers, this fix should have been somewhere in their literature or on their site. I was contacted by a rep from their customer service department, basically was told sorry, nothing they could do about it. I did request that they would at least publish this information along with their other troubleshooting suggestions. To date, I have not seen this information on their site. Just want to let others know to try this fix before paying for service call. There was NOTHING else wrong with my unit. Somehow the computer had lost its brain and needed to be reset. This happened out of the blue. No power outages precipitated this event. Very frustrating!! This was the third service call in three years on this expensive appliance. Would not buy another.
We bought the over-the-range oven, Samsung model# SMH9187ST in May 2010. In June 2011, the error code - SE - appeared on the display. Tried to unplug/restart. That worked for a couple of times. Called to Samsung customer service, that told me that nothing can be done, since the 1 year of warranty has expired, but we can pay out of pocket to get it serviced. Naturally, we refused, since it would make more financial sense to buy a new oven, than to service an old one that would get broken in another year or so. Samsung doesnt stand for its products. Its a fairly simple kitchen appliance to be broken after 1 year of use. Would be very reluctant to buy another Samsung product, again. For the past 2 years, its been used as the over-the-range night light.
I was home thank God but I started smelling smoke really strong and checked all over. It was my Samsung microwave burning from the inside. Door closed. Nothing inside. Hadnt even been used for a few days. Not even 1 year old. Had been serviced by Samsung first week. Was told burnt dude.
My Samsung side-by-side refrigerator was struck by lightning about one and half years ago. It was only about 5 or 6 years old and was informed by the company that they no longer sold the part I needed to repair my refrigerator. I thought this was ridiculous. I talked to the company and they could only tell me that they no longer sold that part.
I bought over the range microwave in September 2008 for about $300.00. Immediately, the latch was broken and needed fixing, that was covered. Now its running normally, making a slightly different noise when on but not heating anymore. I called Samsung, was referred to a repair company, but they never came for the appointment and have made no attempt to re-schedule.I have called them several times and no calls back. I called Samsung again for a new repair company, am waiting for them to call now. I can not tell if the part is under warranty (Magnatron) or not since no repair person has come yet. I try to find out if replacing it would be better. My first microwave lasted 20 years, this, less than 2.5 years. Samsung makes junk and does not stand behind their junk. I will not buy Samsung again in any type of appliance. Overall their reputation in the last few years is taking a noise dive and rightfully so.
In August 16, we bought a Samsung French Door, Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Model RF260BEAESR/AA from Sears. After only 6 weeks, the refrigerator broke down. We contact Samsung for a warranty repair, but it took them 2 trips and 10 days before the unit was working again. During that time, we lost a great deal of food (and it would have been more if not for my wifes planning and ingenuity). For the 10 days that we had no refrigerator, we lived out of coolers filled with ice. When Samsung contacted us to send our expenses that they would cover under the warranty, they initially said that they would pay only $200. Then they said they could cover the full $227.10, or up to $250 due to our inconvenience. Then, they called up and said that they would only cover $160. They said that they wouldnt cover the $60 in ice that kept our food safe for 10 days, because ice is just water and we dont cover water. Unbelievable!
Ive had a great experience with Samsung appliances. Customer service is excellent when addressing problems and very professional. Would definitely recommend their range. I have a refrigerator, washer and dryer. All their products excellent.
We bought a Samsung 2 door refrigerator in May of 2013. The guarantee was up in May of 2015. Nine months later, the flap control which seals the left side door broke and no longer stays open while the door is open. As a result, one must open the right hand door in order to close the left door. I called the number on the inside of the fridge to speak to a Samsung rep. Of course, despite the relatively short time we were over the warranty, there was nothing he could do. He was not even able to provide a line on a replacement part! Fortunately, we had purchased an extended warranty through Lowes, the store we bought the fridge from, and the matter should be resolved without cost. While speaking to the rep. at Lowes, I was informed that this was unfortunately a very common fault with these fridges. I have never had a major appliance break down like this before after such a short period of time. I should think Samsung would wish to protect their good name with a total recall on this issue and replace the flaps with a more durable part if, indeed it is a common occurrence. The rep. at Samsung seemed to know exactly what my problem was as I was trying to describe it. I would strongly suggest to anyone looking to buy a new fridge to steer clear of Samsung. They should stick to making TVs!
Our Samsung slide in electric range with air fryer is awesome. It has as oven control lock for safety - illuminated burner control dials to prevent leaving burner onand good ventilation from top rear of glass cooktop.
I bought this refrigerator two years ago. Paid almost 4000 for it and its been trouble ever since. First they cant seem to get ice maker to work right so I had to manually defrost monthly. Now for the big issue, this is a dual zone model meaning it has two compressors one for each zone, well the top zone compressor went out. Service man came, ran diagnostics. Sure enough compressor quit. Samsung now says this is a non repairable item. So at this point the fridge is junk. Samsung says they will buy it back but have been dragging their feet on how much they will give me or when this will happen since November 16. They are still seller my the dual zones and not disclosing that if compressor goes out its a throw away. I will never buy Samsung anything again.
Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80J3020OUS. OMG Do Not Buy this Dishwasher!!! I thought Id update my kitchen with all Samsung appliances. Let me tell you besides the refrigerator a HUGE MISTAKE!!! I will do other write-ups on the Microwave and stove issues, but this one will focus on the dishwasher. I had it for about a week when I started realizing dishes were not getting clean, only the very first run did but none after that. Then I saw that the soap dispenser was only dispensing the soap after I opened the door when all cycles were completed, so soap was not dispensing. So after about three resets of dishwasher and 6 times of no soap dispensing I called Samsung service line only to be belittled by the customer service rep who insisted the dishwasher must be installed incorrectly. Im like no it has power check, it also has a water supply check, water goes into and comes out of dishwasher but soap dispenser is not working. She then said are you sure the dishwasher is level, and I was like yes, and did you reset it, yes. Well, she said, we can gladly send out a technician but if they determine you did something wrong with install we will bill you for their time. I am like forget it I bought it from Best Buy and its not even 2 months old so I called Best Buy and they are swapping it out for a real dishwasher a Whirlpool. Samsung service person told me that maybe the water going into the unit wasnt hot enough and that my unit didnt have a heating element, which I found out is untrue, but it is a very small heating element and is used more to maintain water temp rather than actually heat the water. So she tells me maybe I should just run hot water in the kitchen sink until it feels hot, then run the dishwasher, REALLY!!! No, I did not pay $400 to run my hot water first. Also this unit does not actually dry the dishes. It blows a little fan for about 20 minutes then says its done. Well actually it has no indicator its done other than no lights are on. But that leads to another issue of my kids not knowing if dishes are clean or dirty so tech suggested I get a magnet for that purpose, AGAIN NO!! I had a Maytag for 22 year and it never had an issue. The unit was only replaced because it was white... I should have kept it.So in short this dishwasher though looks nice and is quiet, does not heat water efficiently, does not dispense soap consistently, does not dry your dishes completely, and when it is working does not do a great job getting griming dishes clean. ALSO this unit somehow has broken 2 glasses that were on the top shelf, not sure how, but very crazy, and Samsung support, from my perspective, REALLY SUCKS!! If you call them expect to be blamed for using your product wrong or having it installed incorrectly and generally talked down to. So much for friendly customer service. Come on Samsung I have all your phone, tablets, and laptops about to go away if you cannot handle my appliance needs!!! Stay away from this Dishwasher!!!
Side by side 2 years old freezer stopped working, Food spoiled, noisy and doesnt hold correct temp in refrig. We are on a fixed income and will NEVER buy a product from this company again.
We purchased this refrigerator from Lowes in April 2013. In December 2013, we noticed that the ice cubes were smaller, and the water dispenser flow was much slower. I contacted the Samsung Help Center and was told to turn up the water pressure in my home, even though it was (properly) set at 60 pounds per square inch! I did turn it up to 90 pounds per square inch, and it seemed to be OK --not back to normal-- for a short while!Several months ago the ice cubes began to be much smaller, and the water flow reduced again. Ive tested the water supply to the unit, and it is just fine. I believe Samsung refrigerators have a basic engineering design flaw, one that Samsung will not admit nor own up to... Thus, my recommendation to NOT BUY a Samsung refrigerator! Coincidentally, we have a GE refrigerator purchased around the same time for our Florida house, and we have NEVER had a problem with it at all. Come on Samsung, own up to the problems with your design, and either FIX THEM, OR GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!
I bought a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave; and both the dishwasher and microwave have broken down one month after the warranty expired. To make matters worse, the computer/touch pads make it nearly impossible for anyone other than a Samsung repair specialist to do anything. Even worse, when I contacted Samsung for online help on an error code I was getting on my microwave (SE), I was told to unplug the appliance and plug it back in. Well, in the words of Homer Simpson, duh. Thanks so much Samsung for nothing.
Purchased an entire Samsung suite, got the 3 year warranty plan which was good. French Door Refrigerator has had issues 3 times. (1) Freezer door balls fail out. (2) Broad that control temperature stopped working. (3) Temperature sensor stopped working. Lost Food on 2nd and 3 event due to being out of town. In fact I have had issues with the entire suite except the oven.
I recently had problems with a 5 year old Samsung refrigerator. To my surprise, most repairman refuse to work on Samsung appliances. In fact the first three turned me down and the forth said unfortunately he works on them. After hearing all of them tell me about how bad they are and referred to them as money pits, I decided to cut my losses. I have never run across a product so berated by people in that industry. The sad thing is everyone still pushes them instead of standing up and refusing to sell.
I used to swear by all Samsung products and always stocked everything in my home with it. However, it seems that for the last 5 years their product quality has been on a downhill spiral. I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DW80F600UTS for my home. Worked well for five years, but then it just stopped working. Ive read numerous reviews on the same problem that I was having and noticed that I wasnt the only one with the issue. For the time being I am staying away from all Samsung products and will have to review other companies.
Ticket # ** When I purchased my oven 5 years ago, I called them after having it under a year. My complaint was that it feel like it was getting overly hot! I was told that I just wasnâ€t use to the newer ovens but, I did notice some melting on the top of the front door and burn marks. Anyway long story short, my bake element was no longer heating. I would turn it up to 350 and it would go right back to 200. I called Samsung again. They promised me a one time parts and labor repair, which I do have in writing. The parts were so called ordered and then I get a message from them stating that they will not replace the bake heating element and the motherboard because of the physical damage from the heating element. Now mind you the damage is from a defective oven. Been going back and forth with them. Every time they approve it, a few hours later the approval is rejected. The rest of my stove looks brand new because I have always taken care my appliances! Iâ€ve also had problems with my ice maker freezing up, which I had serviced privately and so far so good! But, I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ever again! Now theyre saying they wonâ€t repair it because itâ€s a potential high risk hazard. On the next note if I pay for it out of pocket they will repair it! Nothing like talking out of the two sides of your mouth! I do have in writing a one time Labor and parts repair. Which theyâ€re totally refusing to stand by their word.
Samsung dishwasher dw80k7050ug. Dishwasher smells horrible 1 day after wash. Worse when weather is warm. Only thing that works is to completely dry out the drain basket which is holding nothing but water. Odor so offensive. Make me gag. Reported to Samsung. Sent someone out. Said water in basket was normal. Not if it is stagnant. Have seen other reports of this problem. Have tried every suggestion to no avail.
I bought a Samsung french door fridge and paid $2500 four years ago. In December, the freezer stopped freezing. The display said temp was -2 but food was defrosted. So far, I have had 8 techs. They had changed the boards twice, put all new fan motors and thermostats all in the past 2 months. Freezer still doesnt work. So now, I have a very expensive piece of junk in my kitchen. They told me it cant be fixed.
Oh, If I could only give this refrigerator 0 stars. As with everyone else--ice maker is totally useless (My husband LAUGHS when I defrost it yet again and tells me to stop wasting my time!) BUT now need to use a blowdryer to warm up the vents in the back of the refrigerator so it doesnt sound like a jet engine!! I spend more time caring for my refrigerator than it takes me to clean my entire house! Repairman tells me to not bother him as he cant help. The sad irony...our old refrigerator was great except the ice maker didnt work!! Kitchenaid, why did I ever leave you!?!?
No matter what we have done, it sounds like this fridge is an airplane taking off in our kitchen. It is embarrassing. We just changed the filter, again, and ran 3 gallons of water, and it still sounds horrible. I would not buy this again. This fridge is about a year old and has done this since day one. It is a French door, and other than this I love the appliance. It sounds all time of the day and night whenever the ice maker fills or you try to fill a glass of water. Called company, the last thing the rep told me was to move it away from the way. I told her if that was all she could come up with it was pitiful.
Bought French Door refrigerator (RF263AEBP) in 2011 from Lowes. Bought the 4 year extended warranty. In September 2013 the fridge coil froze. Tech came out and replaced fan and shroud. Now 2014 it is freezing again. Search reveals it is a common and known problem by Samsung and they have not fixed even after class action in 2010. They have not come out with a permanent fix. They should do a recall. My extended warranty runs out next year a month before this will probably happen again.
We bought a house and put all Samsung appliances, Refrigerator top off the line, Dishwasher also top of the line, microwave. Since day one we have had leaking issues, logged several calls to the Samsung services department, most of the time they would tell us how to get the LC to stop but not fix the issue. Now that the Warranty has expired (1year Warranty) they send out a Tech and want $350 to fix a known leaking issue. They even have a special kit just for this issue. WHAT you put out a defective product on the market and donâ€t take care of your customer that bought it. Well just like the phone and batteries issues I guess.
My wife and I bought a Samsung RT5000K Top Freezer Twin Cooling Plusâ˘, 350 L refrigerator for Courts Jamaica Limited. The first month the front plastic on the tray under the freezer compartment split down the middle while it was being wiped off. It was as if it had dry rotted. In the first three months the door started to bubble and this is the one that has the stainless steel look. They replaced the skin after a lot of complaining and then the door would hardly close by itself when they were done and they left all the plastic on.Now the rubbers are starting to crack on the door and we have not had the thing a year yet. The door is making a creaking sound once in a while when you open it and the refrigerator from day one has been making weird sounds. It also runs very hot and for an inverter type, the electric bill has not gone down at all. Have been trying to find the year of manufacture and cant seem to get any answers. I believe it was in storage a long time before being sold. Very disappointed and would never buy one again. Will continue to take to social media to get some answers. I had the issues with my fridge in Jamaica and I was able to get support sending an email to **.
About six years ago we bought a Samsung refrigerator. At first we were quite pleased. But that was short lived. After having the refrigerator for three years we noticed water accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator. We soaked it up only to notice ice building up from the back. We broke the ice loose and cleaned it up to notice that the water and ice returned within a few weeks. The repairman replaced a few parts and told us that all Samsung are known for many problems ranging from electrical to mechanical such as the computer board, icemaker, and cooling units. After he left, I noticed that the shelves were sagging. The shelves no longer catch in their proper slots. I thought that perhaps the repairman didnt reinstall the parts correctly, but through my own inspection noticed no discrepancy. The refrigerator sides are simply bowing out causing the shelves to shift and sag. Recently, the water dispenser has stopped working, the food at the bottom of the refrigerator is freezing, and at this point I see no further reason to call for repair. Weve had the refrigerator for about six years and it is junk. Samsung has brought credence to the phrase They dont build them like they used to. What happened to the 20-year appliance?
They said it was just out of warranty and they could not help, but they referred me to a repair person. They could fix the microwave for $350.00 or to buy new. They told me to buy GE.
We purchased a new home with a Samsung appliance package... In 3 months our dishwasher has only worked about a week total. It is broke again and it has been a nightmare trying to get a service person out here. Its still under warranty. They are refusing to help us. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG... You will be a never ending nightmare!!!!
My Samsung dishwasher DMT300 was purchased in 2011. It broke. Heating sensor needs to be replaced. It costs me $245.00! I purchased this along with a Samsung refrigerator and that broke as well in less than 6 MONTHS! Samsung tech arrived and fix it. Thank God it was still under warranty! I had a Maytag dishwasher that was once repaired due to wear and tear but it lasted 12 1/2 years! I called Samsung at 1 800 726 7864 and they will not pay for anything since it is no longer under warranty. Even the repair technician advised me not to purchased Samsung appliances. We are on a fixed income. We trusted that Samsung brand will last at least 7-10 years! It is very upsetting to invest your money at something worthless! I will never ever purchase a Samsung product!
I purchased the double oven range Model FE71DRS from Best Buy in Palm Beach Gardens, FL November 11, 2013 and within two weeks - two days before Thanksgiving - the oven went out. The cooktop still worked but NO oven. After hitting my circuit breaker several times it finally came on after 3 hours. Now, for the third time within 7 months again and this time not working at all. I have a house full of company and Samsung service man cant be at my home for 6 more days. Im so mad I can see stars and the customer service WHICH was the worst. Ill be posting a note on my community mailboxes telling my neighbor to NEVER BUY a Samsung --- so maybe these 400 plus people can help spread the word - SAMSUNG DOESNT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!!
We recently purchased all new appliances for our new home. The three door counter depth model was delivered & installed by our dealer. We quickly noticedthat the refrigerator doors were sweating. Over three days I had contact with Samsung Customer service three times and a service representative once. Total time spent telling my story over and over again to people I had difficulty understanding amounted to about 2 hours. I finally became so angry that nothing was being accomplished that I told the lady I was going to hang up and let her figure out what was happening to my service request & call me back...and, if I did not hear back from her in a reasonable time period I was going to return this abomination. I did not hear from her.I have contacted my dealer and am returning this and will NEVER again purchase a Samsung product. Having been in a manufacturing/consumer product company for over 40 years I know world class customer service. Samsung doesnt gave a clue! Not sure how they continue to sell consumer products with such pitiful follow up.
Samsung needs to stick to electronics. Wish I had read customer reviews from https://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/samsung-stove-oven-range.html before purchasing. On October 15, 2015, we replaced a perfectly good stove top that we had for over 10 years because the oven was broken. We were quite excited to have a working oven, but were quickly disappointed as it was not heating properly. Additionally, the keys on the display were hard to push, the fast boil feature does not work, and the stove top is starting to show signs of cracking from heat (something many consumers are complaining about). A technician had to replace the display, the main board, and two probes on a six month old stove. He needs to come back to fix the fast boil and submitted pictures of the cracks to Samsung Product Review to approve. Samsung claims its aesthetic and wont approve the replacement. If you look at the other complaints, you will see that it eventually cracks completely when you least expected. Our range is less than six months old and already has caused more issues than any of our other appliances that are over 10 years old. I suggest Best Buy take them off the floor. I forecast that Samsung is a range away from a class action lawsuit.
I bought this fridge in 2014 and one for my parents shortly after. For the first 2 years they both worked great. The last 2 years not so much. My parents unit ice machine has been replaced twice due to it freezing up and not working. I fortunately have not had that problem with the ice machine. The freezer and middle drawer of the fridge work great and maintain temperature without issue. The main section of the refrigerator does a very poor job of keep food cold. I discovered the fan that is supposed to circulate the air was not working. Samsung wanting to charge some crazy amount of money just to come troubleshoot it so I tore it apart myself. In the back of the fridge the cooling coil was frozen over and caused the fan to burn out. After thawing the fridge and replacing the fan it worked for a few months but subsequently froze again. Replacing this fan every few months seem very silly and now I regularly have to tear the fridge apart and thaw the coil to ensure it doesnâ€t burn out the motor. The last 6 months I have noticed that even when the fan is working the fridge does not stay cold anymore. The door reads 34 degrees but in the fridge it is anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees and any given time. It is a shame that 2 refrigerators that cost nearly $3000 dont work after less than 4 years. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Both units are nothing but JUNK now!!! Now we have to decide if we want to continue to throw items away when it decides it doesnâ€t want to keep food cold or buy another $3000 fridge. Very disappointed.
This refrigerator was the most expensive in the store, but I thought it would be the best and it is the absolute worst. For $3,500, you would think you would not have to defrost the area of the ice maker. It works like the cheapest brand in the store. It doesnt give you ice cubes, just pieces of ice that go flying everywhere. Ice gets built up and clogs the ice maker and you have to take an ice pick to remove it or it wont make any ice. I absolutely hate it and Im stuck with it for a good long time.
Purchased 01-2016, 1st repair 03-2017 for ice maker and not cooling. Had to manually defrost every 3 to 4 months until 01-2018 when ice machine stopped totally. Called HH Gregg extended warranty who did not respond for 6 months. By then due to sickness I just gave up until this year when it started leaking water and would not cool. Called warranty company about repair on refrigerator and range. Tech responded and ordered parts. After a week the cooling problem was corrected but had to wait a week to replace ice maker and circuit board. Worked for 1 week and now there is no cooling ice or freezer. After repair last week the company that took over HH Gregg refused to repair the range and canceled the contract saying that it cost too much and sent a check for 279.00 refund. My advice is to never buy a Samsung Appliance and dont buy a warranty without having an attorney read it first.
Paid $1600.00 for Samsung dishwasher. In the past 3.5 years we have had nothing but problems. We have spent a lot of money on repairs. The pump was replaced, the water wall was replaced along with several other problems. The last tech Samsung sent out was not properly schooled on the product and had to call another tech to guide him through the repair on the phone.
I never take time to write a review so please take the following seriously. This is the worst purchase I have made. The ice machine constantly freezes and creates an ice dam making it impossible to operate. The customer service is non-existent. The warranty is worthless. If you value your time and your money look elsewhere, do not be tempted by pricing. Not only would I not purchase another Samsung product, I wouldnt take one if it was given to me for free. Samsung Model RF22KREDBSR.
Bought Samsung refrigerator (RFA267HAWP/XA ) in 2012 from HHgregg. Now 2017 found Pitting and rust underneath paint on both lower corners of water dispenser of door frame. Went online filed complaint and sent pictures. Called 1-800-726-7864 again and talked with customer representative, was told we were out of date for service. I advised that Samsung has a flaw, defect in their product -- the product is now rusting and what can you do to fix it. Here is the drum roll >>> they can send out a tech to look at the problem and fix the problem, But this is at the customers cost and not covered by Samsung. Another Samsung product crossed off my product list for the future.
I noticed dripping from the ice maker on the Thursday before New Years weekend. We immediately called service. They said to do a reset by unplugging the fridge for 3 minutes. We did as instructed to no avail. They would not schedule a service call because they said to give it a chance.and check it in the morning. Needless to say, there was nothing cold in the morning. When we called again they refused to do anything before Tuesday. It was a Holiday weekend. This product is not one year old yet they refused any help. When we continued to ask for help we were told to send an email and wait for a response. That response came after 5 pm so it was too late to do anything. We have now been without refrigeration for 6 days. DONT BUY SAMSUNG!!!
My Samsung refrigerator stop making ice about a year ago. Was told to put silicone around the outer edges of the ice box. Have to used hair dryer to defrost it but only last for a day out so, dont understand what they dont stand behind their product. I just hope that the rest of my appliances dont go out.
We bought our 4-door Samsung refrigerator model # RF428 from Sears in Feb 2013. Feb 2014, it started leaking water. It was so bad that we had to have towels around the fridge and change them a couple times a day. Scheduled the repair service, however, the repairman couldnt figure out what the problem was. They called Samsung and they have a problem with these models with the water filter housing unit. He ordered the part and scheduled another service call to install the part a week later. In the meantime, my floor is completely ruined from all the water leakage. It will have to be torn up and completely redone.
We purchased our Samsung Dishwasher from Best Buy in February of 2014 as part of a 4 appliance suite for our kitchen remodel. BIG MISTAKE! We did not buy the extended warranty through Best Buy. The dishwasher started to fail (would not complete the cycle) in February of 2015. It was still barely under warranty so Samsung sent VA Electronics out to repair this problem. Worked until Sept 2015 when the same issue came back and the front door started to leak. Had to pay VA Electronics $99 to come back out to repair the problem, but it just started leaking again! Never buy a Samsung Dishwasher.
I bought a DMT300 series dishwasher not even 2 years old. For the last 3 months, when you try to do a cycle after about 5 minutes the normal-heavy-quick lights continue to flash and wont wash anymore.. All I can say is that I will never buy a Samsung again. My husband said just go buy another dishwasher. To us its not worth calling someone in to fix it, cause they automatically will charge you about 150.00 bucks just for showing up..
We purchased a $1200 dishwasher from Samsung in August 2014. After 1 month it began breaking down and coming up with error messages which stopped it from running. Every time we called it took them 2 weeks to come out. By November they had been out 5 times and I was demanding a replacement. Id spent 4 months hand washing all my dishes. They came out and replaced it and things seemed fine before I saw water and suds streaming out of the bottom of the dishwasher on to my hardwood floors. As it was less than 1 year, I had to call Samsung. They insisted it was out of Warranty I needed to talk to the provider of the extended service even though the receipt was dated August 16. I called them and they sent me back to Samsung, who didnt seem to have any paperwork with our dates despite the fact that they had been to our house. They didnt care that there is most likely water under the dishwasher on the wood flooring. We havent heard yet from a repair person 24 hours later. I will never buy another piece of equipment from Samsung. Their quality and service is the worst Ive ever experienced.
I also have been disappointed with their product. The icemaker always freezes up. When you call them they tell you to find a Samsung dealer to repair it. The first time it had a broken seal, but it was under warranty. The next two times, it was fixed for approximately two months. Now it doesnt work at all. I will never buy another product from them again. This refrigerator was expensive.
This service request on a new fridge was a nightmare. Thier service company OMB/friends tek is so unprofessional. They called me to schedule time. Hung up on me the first time. They did not call back, but put in notes that I hung up on them. When I called back, waited on hold 45 mins. Then was disconnected. Called back. Waited 30 more minutes. They pressed que to leave a message. I got a message that voicemail was full and told me to try my call later. They tried again to call me 2 days later. I called right back and went through the same scenario. 3rd time they called, I answered and was able to s he duke a service call 1 week later. This whole time I have been calling Samsung customer service with no resolution. They in fact, said they also could not get through to the repair vendor and I should keep trying.Day of appointment- I get a text from Tech telling me he will be there in 4 hour window. I asked if he had a slide protector for the floor (which is standard issue for appliance delivery and repair, and what the installers used). He said no. He told me if to have the fridge moved out away from cabinet before he got here. I advised I could not do that as it was too heavy. He advised me to reach out to place I purchased as he would not move. He only replaces parts or repairs. I contacted Samsung, who again could not help and advised me to contact Home Depot.I contacted Home Depot and explained the situation. They sent out a manager with slide pads and he moved fridge out and placed slide pads under the fridge. Repair tech came out. He showed up in an unmarked personal vehicle with another man with no uniform. How unprofessional. All he wanted to talk about was how he was not going to be responsible for property damage. We determined what the issue was, which turned out to be an installation issue. We also purchased a dishwasher with this fridge. We spent over $4000 and this has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a purchase. Samsungs failure to respond appropriately and ongoing issues with this vendor(as referenced in online reviews) will cause me to never buy a Samsung product again (we also have 2 Samsung TVâ€s).
Purchased model RF23HCEDB on 6/29/18. Ice maker quit working 13 months after purchase, one month after warranty ran out. Troubleshooting has not worked. Upon reviewing online complaints, videos, lawsuit, etc regarding Samsung refrigerators, Ill never buy another Samsung appliance again.
This brands french door model seems to have issues getting water in the veggie drawers and, failure of the strip on the door that is supposed to guide the left door to close properly. I would not buy Samsung again although I have little choice for the space available. High repair rate with short term ownership.
We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (French door/stainless steel type) because we had a small space to put one in so it had to be a certain dimension. I will NEVER buy anymore Samsung products again! Less than one year after we bought it I started to notice that ice was building up on the ice maker so it had to be defrosted every month or so. Next the ice maker fan stopped working and you cant buy just the small plastic fan...no. You have to buy the whole unit at $150.00. Thanks for forcing your customers to spend way more money than you have to! After having the fan unit replaced we noticed that the ice was building up even more and preventing the arm from moving the ice into the ice bin. After calling the repairman, we found out that the ice maker is now broken and it will not make or dispense ice. He also called Samsung for a replacement part and found out that the icemakers are on backorder so it will be a couple of months before we get one because the amount of people waiting for one is rather large. Evidently we are NOT the only people with this problem. We are now looking at spending another $250.00 for a new icemaker. All of the Samsung products I have purchased (washer and TV) have turned out to be crap. The washer had a recall because of the motor causing the lid to blow off of the washer so we got a crappy 150.00 to go buy another new washer that was NOT a Samsung! The TV the screen went out so we bought another TV that also was NOT a Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product (including phones) because their products are cheaply made and breakdown soon after you buy them. I would never recommend their products to anyone EVER!
Purchased 2010 & got extended warranty (which I usually dont do). Have had 2 Motherboards in the last year, new fan motor, fan was encased in ice both times and repairman had to thaw it with hairdryer so as not to break the plastic. Was told that when we have a power surge and the temps say 888, hold down the middle buttons on each side of the temp numbers for 15 seconds. That sets the temp again. Now my fridge says 36 degrees but water bottles at the back freeze solid, and also tomatoes in the front. Thank GOD I had the warranty, but I also will never buy Samsung again!
Stay away from Samsung refrigerators, they suck. Talk to appliance sales representatives and appliance repairmen, they will tell you same thing: Samsung is difficult to deal with.My 5 year old fridge, model #RSG257AARS, freezer section stopped working. This problem started 4.5 years after I purchased this unit. I first sign of problems was when the ice maker stopped making ice. I thought it was a ice maker gone bad problem - INCORRECT, this was the first sign that the freezer section was losing freon. I tried to find a repairman that serviced Samsung products, almost impossible. My appliance repairman (I own several rental units, I have used the same appliance repair guy for 10+ years) told me that Samsungs are hard to work on but not as hard as dealing with the Samsung company. Boy was he right! 6 months later, I finally got a Samsung approved repairman out to diagnosis the problem. The unit needed a $600.00 recharge of the freon system and, due to the delays in finding a qualified repairman, I found myself just outside the actual purchase-receipt-date on the 5 year warranty of the compressor system. Since my unit was technically no longer in warranty, there was nothing Samsung could do for me. I fought the good fight with Samsung and you can read the blow-by-blow description below (My Sad Samsung Story) but the bottom line is that Samsung is way, way too difficult to deal with from a consumer point of view. I think their customer service executives were trained in North Korea. I would avoid these machines and any other Samsung products. They have lost me as a customer. If you do own a Samsung and have any sort of minor problem, call Samsung immediately. Remember to keep your sales receipt. Samsung will not even start a conversation with you unless you have this. The following is an email I sent to the office of the president for Samsung:My Sad Samsung StoryFirst off, I own several Samsung phones and televisions. This is a story about the refrigerator I own and how unsupportive Samsung is when you have a problem. This past December/January, my wife and I noticed the ice maker of our Samsung refrigerator was NOT making ice. We then noticed that ice cream was NOT staying frozen. At first, I thought that with the Holidays and the large amount of use the freezer was getting; it might have a problem keeping up. We continued to monitor the performance of our freezer section and it continued to get worse. At this point I pulled out the unit, removed the access panel at the bottom and thoroughly cleaned the fan and coils. Since we have cats and dogs, I have always cleaned behind our refrigerator every 6 months. The refrigerator worked fine for a week but then went back to NOT keeping items frozen or making ice. With the problem not getting better, we finally started calling appliance service technicians in April. We own several rental properties and every time I have had an appliance problem, I have called a very reliable and trustworthy appliance repairman. He has been working for me for over 10 years. When I called him about my Samsung refrigerator problem, he said he did not work on Samsungs and told me I would have a hard time finding anyone who did. He was right. It took us until May to find someone who agreed to come out and look at the problem but he didnâ€t make it to our house until June. This guy was from Encore Appliance Repair. While at our home, he spent most of his time on the phone with a Samsung representative trying different diagnostic procedures. They finally agreed that the main circuit board was bad. The board was swapped out a week later and the fridge still didnâ€t work. Finally got the Encore service man back out and he again spent most of his time on the phone with a Samsung representative. The diagnosis this time was that the Freon needed to be recharged. During the phone conversation, the Samsung representative assured my service man that since my fridge was still under warranty; Samsung would pay to have the unit repaired. I was then instructed to call 1-800-SAMSUNG.My initial conversation with the Samsung representative, Peter, was that I would need to verify the purchase of this unit. I then proceeded to fax, email and text a copy of my receipt to Samsung. The next day I called Samsung and talked to Franklin, he told me that they had not received anything from me but that if my unit was bought in 2009, it would be covered. He then gave me the number of the certified repairman that Samsung uses in my area. This was the service agency that Samsung was going to use for my warranty repair. Franklin told me it would be quicker for me to make an appointment with this appliance repair service than for him to call and set up an appointment. Golden-in home Service came out to my house on Tuesday, June 23rd and told me that a gasket on a fill valve on my fridgeâ€s compressor had failed and I had lost the Freon charge. Cost for repair was $600.00.I called Samsung again and relayed this information to Keisha. She told me that Samsung still did not have any verification of my sales receipt and then she transferred me to Bonnie, an executive service representative. Bonnie listened to my tale and asked me to immediately email her my receipt, which I did. Upon examining it, she said that since my receipt was dated 5/7/2009, the 5 year warranty on my fridgeâ€s compressor expired on 5/7/2014 and there was nothing she could do for me.Needless to say, I was and remain extremely upset. My unit had been failing since December 2013, I finally get in contact with Samsung in June 2014 and they tell me that there is â€nothing they can do for meâ€? I may have contacted Samsung shortly after my 5 year warranty expired but I have been actively trying to have this unit fixed since January of this year. It is very upsetting to me that a company, any company, would not stand by a defective product. I remain very upset with Samsung. The Story Continues‌After I sent the above email to â€The Office of the President†for Samsung, I got a phone call from Shawna, a Samsung executive service representative. She listened to my sad tale and asked me some questions concerning what exactly the service technician had told me. It just so happens that the Appliance repair Company, the one I used to diagnose my fridge; called and that morning, about 45 minutes prior to Shawna, and told me that in their opinion, our fridge â€was not worth fixingâ€. Keep in mind that this is the company Samsung recommended and told me to use. Ms. Shawna then said she needed to talk this service company, Golden-In-House appliance repair, and verify their findings. She told me that Samsung would either pay for my repairs or credit me a prorated portion of my initial purchase cost. She also promised to call back that same day.About 6+ hours later, Ms. Shawna called back and told me that since my refrigerator was fixable, Samsung would be willing to pay for the parts to fix it but NOT the labor. The repair quote by Golden-in-Home was for $600.00, mostly labor. I pointed out to Shawna that the repair service had recommended I NOT repair this unit, their direct quote was that it was that â€it was not worth it†to repair this fridge. Shawna argued that the unit could be repaired, if we were willing to pay for the repair. I told her that my household had been turned upside down long enough with this problem and we wanted to get a new fridge. I told her I wanted to have Samsung prorate the purchase price of my fridge. She said Samsung would not â€buy back†this defective fridge until I had tried to repair it. Shawna said she could submit a request for a buy back to her boss but it would be turned down. I then realized that Shawna had no power to resolve my situation. I told her that I was very upset with Samsung and that they would be losing a customer. She acknowledged that this was an unfortunate situation for me and then she asked, â€Is there anything else I could help me with todayâ€? I didnâ€t bother to point out the fact that she hadnâ€t helped in the first place. Conclusion: Stay away from Samsung. They donâ€t know the first thing about making the customer happy or honoring their warranties.
SAMSUNG DMT800RHB - Multiple repairs from initial start-up. Substandard materials failing prematurely with insurance related home repairs that should fall upon manufacturer defect in engineering. Samsung knew they had engineered failures into this product so to eliminate defect they had safeguards like leak sensors built in. If you have one of these appliances out of warranty I would suggest cutting your losses and buying a different brand. Do not follow Consumers Digest, this was the consumers best buy, top of their reports at the time. If Samsung dishwasher stock is high its not because of quality, but ripping off the consumers.
I have an STH9207 Over the Range Microwave. About 4 months ago, it (like many/most other similar models) went completely dead. After a huge amount of bureaucracy, I finally got Samsung to send someone out to look at it. The repairman was very familiar with the problem as he had already replaced MANY transformers in these microwaves previously. A quick look on the internet and it became apparent to me that I was the proud owner of a lemon. Nevertheless, the repair agency replaced the transformer in my microwave. Today, the microwave went dead again. I called Samsung and told them that. Obviously, their fix isnt fixing the units and that I would appreciate a replacement or a refund. The lady told me that they cant do that. Instead, they can only pay to have the unit fixed. Then, she looked at my purchase date and discovered that I was/am ONE week out of warranty. Likewise, she informed me that even though the unit was just repaired for the same problem a few months ago, they have no responsibility to make sure that the repair lasts. Honestly, Im temped to take Samsung to Small Claims Court. Its doubtful that they will send an attorney to represent them, but, even if they do, Ill present a ton of data supporting the fact that their microwaves are defective and that I am not the first one with such a problem. We can only hope that people look at this website before they invest in any Samsung appliance or product.
The dishwasher is fairly quiet. It has several wash options as well as a separate dry option. The racks fold down so you can put large or unusual shaped items in it. It is pretty but the stainless streaks more than I would have liked. All and all, it works good. I would recommend this dishwasher. Works better than others I have used. Fairly decent price for the quality you get.
How can we all have the same terrible experience and nothings done about it. Who do we have to complain to, to stop this? Besides not buying another Samsung product, how do we hurt their pockets. This is a rip off, this product isnt even a dishwasher, this is false advertisement.
Fire hazard - burners turn on too easily and I have had many fires looking for someone who has started a class action suit. I have melted utensils and ruined pans and anything else that I put on range.
I bought my Samsung Microwave on Christmas Eve when my other one stopped in the middle of food prep for the big day, so living in a rural area I went to the only appliance shop in town and picked up this beauty, probably paid more than I normally would have but have no regrets and would buy another Samsung microwave in a heartbeat!!
I have a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator that went out Labor Day weekend. We had a total loss of food due to this. I contacted Samsung they set us up with one of their contractors on a priority call. With that said it took them 7 days to come over, the repair person said his leak detector for Freon did not work so he came back the next day. No leak was found so they would next step order a new dryer for the unite. That took 8 more days to come in. When the 2ND repair person came with the dry he first re checked for a leak and out it in the sealed system. So the dryer was not even needed. He sent the information via his phone to Samsung that day and told me I would be contacted with in 48 hours. Well I tried to contact Samsung and let them know the 48 hours was up and after 1 and on half hours on hold I finally was able to speak to a person. That gave me a new case number and ask for receipt information to be sent via eFax once again the 48 hour rule goes in. No call back so I take the one hour and forty five minutes to call back. Finally have the correct person on phone that tell me what the first person said was not correct and I needed to email the information to her. I told her we have gone 25 days waiting on them and not having any way to have cold food in out home aside from an ice chest and really was beyond frustrated at the lack of help I was getting, her response was it will take 48 hours to the buy back department to contact me. I ask if I could speak to the them or have a extension number to not have to spend that long on hold and constantly get a wrong area to pick up and was firmly told no! I informed the lady that if this was to be a buy back I would like to just know if it is okay to purchase a new refrigerator and would Samsung send me a check at some point to reimburse me. I was told in not a nice way I could buy anything I want but Samsung would set the terms as to how I would be paid that we must keep the dead unit until further information was sent to us. So here we are with nothing still - there is no excuse for this to happen. We have lost all food, cannot have or store food and really need a company that give a ___p.
I saved for over a year to be able to purchase what I thought was a top of the line refrigerator. When Lowes had this 4 door refrigerator on sale, I jumped at the chance to purchase. The first day the refrigerator was plugged in, the digital board on the ice maker would not work. My son finally got it to work after we unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. About a month later, the same thing happened. I called technical support and they helped me to get the unit going again. Tonight when I got home from work, the ice machine would not work. I call support again and spoke to a gentleman that could not be understood. When I figured out that he could not help, I asked to speak to someone else. I got to speak to the woman from hell. Even though I told her that my refrigerator was new and that I had taken the extended service agreement, she informed me that I would have to pay someone to repair my refrigerator because I needed to be educated on how to use it. Well, I do know that I should not have to unplug my new refrigerator 3 times in 3 months to keep the digital panel from freezing up. Lowes told me not to call the technical support number again but to call them directly because I could not count on Samsung to help me with my problem. I wish I had read the negative reviews before spending over $2000 on a unit that does not work.
Sumsungs excellent customer service is a customerâ€s nightmare. Here is our experience: 2 days before X-Mas 2014 our 3 month old fridge model RS22HDHPNSR stopped cooling properly 2 days later it stopped all together but the temperature readout did not indicate a problem and remained at the normal settings. 12-24-14 called Samsung customer service gave all of our info: Name address, phone #, e-mail address. Was instructed to reset thermostat, called back after a few hours to inform Samsung that unit was still not cooling. Advised that a repair service would come in 1 to 2 days to take care of problem. 12-27-14 After several hours working on our fridge repairman told us that the unit suffered a major failure and parts would need to be ordered. We contacted Samsung same day again had to repeat all of our personal info and we now requested a replacement for our 3 month old unit. Thats when the nightmare really began. We did not hear from Samsung and had to call daily for updates. Each time we received a new ticket # and were told our request was in review. On 1-2-2015 we were informed that our request for replacement was denied because replacement parts were in. On 1-7-2015 After 2 repairmen hammered and soldered for 3 hours on our fridge in the kitchen they could not fix it needed more parts. Again we called Samsung requesting a replacement and again never received any updates. On 1-9-2015 finally got through to a supervisor who than told us after speaking with another supervisor that our request for replacement had been denied a second time, because the additional parts are in. On 1-13-2015 after 3 more hours working and banging our fridge it was working. After a 3 week long ordeal of no refrigerator/freezer, uncounted hours spent on use less phone calls speaking to a total of 36 Samsung employees we have a rebuilt Samsung refrigerator. Samsung Excellence Customer Service??? You decide.
Two technicians from two separate repair places were sent by Samsung and each said the diagnostics were not showing a problem so the unit is working correctly and the company is not at fault. Well the dishes do not get clean, the dryer does not dry, the glasses break because they fall over, and the water glasses actually have food spattered and dried on them when they are removed from the unit. Shame on Samsung for producing a dishwasher that actually ultimately makes glasses dirtier than when they were placed in the machine!
Simply put! Lousy appliances!! I build my houses. First time I used all Samsung appliances for kitchen. Within the first two years refrigerator ice maker broke 3 times. Only once covered under warranty. First 6 months gas oven. ALL top burn covers and grates discolored covered under warranty. NOW to microwave. The damn clock/timer constantly beeps and goes to #7. I mean every 1,2,3 minutes tops. Called Samsung. Knew all about problems and tried to sell me a $165 microwave door to fix problem plus $65 install. They would NOT allow me to install because it would void warranty. I questioned. What warranty? First door was not being covered. No answer to that. Now just waiting for dishwasher to go. LOUSY customer service and A LOT of ** to get out of ANY responsibility for their products. All products just 3 1/2 years old..
Ice maker is junk! After warranty, no one will work it. Tech came out, once he saw it was a Samsung, he refused to work on it and left! Their TVs seem to be good but would never recommend a Samsung refrigerator. Just waiting for the refrigerator to stop, then buy a Kitchenaid.
I purchased a Samsung 24.73 ft 4 door French door refrigerator Model #RF25HMEDBSR in August of 2017. Not sure how long I had it when the ice maker started freezing up and had to be defrosted with a BAIRD dryer. Called for repair the first time in February of 2018. They replaced the entire ice maker, however it started freezing up again. Repair sent out again on May 14, 2018. The technician tells me the entire refrigerator need to be replaced and someone will call me within 24-48 hours. No call, I call Samsung and I am told, WE DONT CALL you, I am told to submit receipts and someone will contact me. I submit my receipts and receive a phone call on the 22 of May to send a better picture of the receipt.May 23rd I received an email stating the exchange has been approved and someone from the Lowes where I purchased it should give me a call within 5 business days. 5 days later no call. May 31st. I call Samsung, they tell me the exchange is finished on their end and I need to contact the local Lowes. Call Lowes, they have not received the RMA (return merchandise authorization). I provide the number and they contact Samsung to request it be sent again. June 1st - Lowes calls, RMA received. They are required to come and pick up the refrigerator, refund it then they can order the new one... I call Samsung, and explain how I am not ok with this, The bottom line is, they donâ€t care. The angel in this scenario is Jessica (and Dianne) assistant manager at Lowes in Santa Clarita California. She is willing to order the replacement without having the old unit back. Because its a special order will take 10 days to get to the store. That puts me at the 14th of June, almost exactly 1 month from the date of my 2nd repair and the day I get on a plane to go to Europe for 2 weeks. Hereâ€s the Bottom line, Samsung did nothing to make this an easy process and they donâ€t care. I just stumbled on this site and can see this is a known issue and they have done nothing to fix the problem. During manufacturing or after the units were purchased.
Purchased 4 appliance chef selection for more than $9,000.00. Microwave turn table motor packed up within 2 1/2 months. Called Samsung to replace the microwave as the product has to be defective to break within three months. They only wanted to repair but not replace. Reached out to CEO office no response.
Purchased this NE595ROABSR/AA range Jan.22, 2013 at Lowes. The front right burner would cook on high even though it was set on low. Managed to deal with that. Yesterday in the middle of preparing dinner, the range shot fire with a loud explosion. Samsung does not stand behind their products and you would think that a new stove that we paid $900.00 for would last longer than 2 1/2 years.
The fridge model no: SR-688EV with serial no: **** has sensor that is beeping even when the fridge is closed and the fan is not working. The freezer compartment is working well and only the fridge compartment does not work well.
We redid our kitchen at the beginning of last year and installed a Samsung microwave, model ME18H704SFS. After 8 months, the overhead light started coming on by itself. Not the high, but the low. I am not the first homeowner to complain about this very problem. It would seem this microwave has well-known issues and Samsung has not recalled the product. I guess Samsung can stand to have poor public relations. I will never purchase another Samsung product. Glenn **Belmont MA
To Tim Baxter or anyone else that cares about Samsungs reputation and how their terrible customer service and falsely advertised products, dont settle well with the consumer. I am at my wits end with your company and its appalling customer service! For 4 months now Ive tried to get your company to take ownership for a refrigerator it sold us, that claimed to offer a Flex Zone with 4 temp settings, all the way down to -1 Celsius. Tim, we both went to High-school at took basic science classes, but the techs and people in your Office of the President all seem to have either not taken the class or failed it. My wife and I have had food spoiling in that drawer for months, because it will NOT freeze as it should given that 0 degrees Celsius is freezing, therefore anything colder that zero is at least capable of freezing. Well nothing freezes in that drawer. Ive had 3 service people come out, who all are being told the same thing from Samsung that I am being told, which is that the refrigerator works as it should. Tim, please explain to me how its working as it should when food does not freeze in a drawer that offers a -1 degree Celsius setting. Your office of the president, at 888-480-5675 and Loshanda at extension **, has ignored 7 messages I have left for her with the receptionist, and two voicemails. She literally has decided to blow me off. The last time she called me, before Thanksgiving, she told me that Mr. ** its not supposed to freeze, since -1 degrees Celsius is also 29 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore its 29 degrees above freezing... I was without a reply for a few minutes. How do you politely tell a person that they dont know that Celsius and Fahrenheit both measure temperatures, and that -1 Celsius and 29 Fahrenheit are the same below freezing temperature. After Loshandas obvious failure to care to call me back anymore, because she believes its working fine, I called and asked for a supervisor in your Office of the President. Ive been told twice there is no such thing, that I just have to leave a message for Loshanda to call me back. Iâ€ve done that once a week for 7 weeks. Iâ€m exhausted and utterly disgusted with the horrible service from your company. I dont know which is worse, that your techs believe -1 degrees Celsius is not supposed to freeze the food, or that your Office of the Preside could care less at this point, after my wife and I have lost hundreds of dollars in food that has gone bad, Ive wasted hours with techs coming out telling me the same thing, and more hours on the phone talking to your general Samsung support line that offers no help but to suggest I have yet another tech come out, who will waste all our time again. Tim, my wife and I own thousands of dollars in merchandise from you all, from phones, to BluRay players, to TVs etc. Is this how I should be treated? I want Loshanda at least reprimanded or at best fired, and I want and deeply hope for your help in resolving this matter. Your refrigerator does not do as it was sold to do, its that simple. And I need this fixed. Please Tim. Ive left voicemails for others in your Office of the President, they too have ignored me.
We purchased a brand new dishwasher with all the bells and whistles. It worked nicely at first - very quiet, steam-venting function, and fun little function noises. However, we noticed within a few days that it was leaking. Called Samsung and they got a tech out a few weeks later to repair it. Our wood flooring was damaged. The repair helped for about two days and then it was back to leaking. Now itâ€s been over a month and we still canâ€t get Samsung to repair, replace, or even return our correspondence. Weâ€ve been stuck in specialty claims, trying to negotiate with the repair company ourselves, who says Samsung wonâ€t pay them, so they wonâ€t come back. Weâ€ve asked and been told that our claim has been elevated but no contact by phone or email for a week now - again. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and it is obvious that the service promise on their corporate website is a lie.
Drives me crazy, repaired once at less than 2 years old, considering the price we paid Im disgusted. The doors have to be forced shut, as they dont close automatically. Butter holder doesnt hold a pound of butter! Shelves barely adjust and certainly not efficient. Water seems to pool in vegetable bins. To make matters worse the fridge and in particular the freezer is always covered in weird patterns as if the moisture is escaping somehow to just under the stainless steel. Will never ever purchase a Samsung anything again and I think Ill stick to low end because it seems like everything breaks down after 2 years regardless of the price.
Purchased a Samsung RF25HMEDBSR/AA new a few years ago. Since it was new, the fridge has had an issue where it builds ice blocks up the coils until it freezes the fan in place. The frozen fan and coils results in the fridge failing and food spoiling. Approximately once every three months since this fridge was purchased I have had to take it apart and manually de-ice everything.I reported the issue to Samsung and was set up with a date a service provider was supposed to show up. They never came so I contacted Samsung again and was informed that due to where I live there are no authorized Samsung repair shops. They cancelled my open ticket and told me if I wanted it fixed Id have to contact someone on my own and front the bill. Lessons learned: Do not buy this fridge, it has serious issues with being able to defrost (I should note- I live in northern WI, not an hot and humid climate). Do not support Samsung, they will not stand by their product.
Purchased a French Door Model #RF263BEAESR/AA in August of 2014. Issues with the icemaker freezing, the two cooler system freezing with visible ice buildup, and a loud humming noise. $1000 in repairs.
Bought 5 new Samsung appliances in February and now the compressor in fridge has failed. Samsung will not replace fridge and I have to pay to have fridge removed from home to shop for repairs and back again. Now realizing that buying Samsung appliances was a huge mistake, never had luck with their DVD players and should have known better. Will stay away from Samsung in future for sure.
Icemaker not working again. Every three weeks I have to manually defrost icemaker with hairdryer. My first call under warranty they came out replace the icemaker. Did good for eight weeks and started all over again and I am being told even under warranty they do the repair the first time free. After that thereâ€s a charge. Please never buy another refrigerator from Samsung.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (model RS265TD) from Lowes on 8-1-2012. This purchase has been the most horrible experience of our life. We have had 4 repairs, with a 5th one scheduled, for this horrible noise that sounds like a B52 bomber taking off (just 2 months after purchasing) followed by a defective solenoid supposedly because the repairman could not figure what else it could be because the computer showed no problem even though it would take days for the ice maker to make ice. Then again in November and in January 2013, when the noise continued and the ice maker would shoot ice out 30 feet all on its own followed by not working at all and noise still continuing, another repair. Then again, another horrid noise. We called the company again. They scheduled the service call and when the repairman showed, Samsung said that there were no previous repairs and that it did not warrant any replacement or refund. This past March 2013, they kept their repairman on the phone for 2 hours and we also were on the phone. They kept passing the buck. Lowes isnt any better. They washed their hands of anything after 30 days. I am checking with my lawyer now. No one, and I mean no one, should buy from Samsung. They are horrible and do not stand by their warranty. Run from this and all of their products as fast as you can.
If it were possible to give zero stars I would do so. We paid nearly $2000 for this refrigerator less than 4 years ago. We got only 1 year of trouble-free use out of it. Right after the 1-year warranty expired the ice-maker started completely freezing over, making it unusable unless we manually defrosted it. Even though the unit was out of warranty Samsung agreed to repair it for free. Repairman came out, made the repair but said we WOULD have trouble with the unit again. Indeed, and sadly, his prediction was highly accurate as a year later we started having the exact same problem. Now Samsung wants to charge us $525 to fix it AND they only offer a 90-day warranty. Samsung, they make cellphones that catch on fire and refrigerators that only work properly for a year. AVOID this companys products at all costs. They are not to be relied on. The government should do something about them but Im not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
My husband & I are recent retirees. We remodeled our home & bought a new Samsung french door refrigerator. We recently noticed a bubble on the door just below the water dispenser. Weeks later we noticed the stainless steel application starting to peel, showing the metal underneath. I called Samsung and had my problem escalated to Executive Customer Relations. After spending several hours on the phone with them, they advised it is a cosmetic problem and not covered under any warranty. I tried to convince them that it is defective workmanship, but with no luck. We are now stuck with this terrible sight, and no recourse. Do Not Buy Samsung.
I bought a Samsung Over-The-Range Microwave from Lowes in February 2010. I just found out I need the keypad replaced. The warranty ran out in February. I called Samsung and they said there is nothing they can do because the warranty has expired. They have already been out once while the microwave was still under warranty. The cost of the repair is about $260. I tried to explain to them that even though the microwave is no longer under warranty, I would think a $400 microwave would last longer than 18 months. She said I am eligible for a new one if they have to fix the same issue twice within a year. That doesnt really matter to me since I would have to pay to have it fixed twice. She didnt understand this concept and could not get past the fact that the warranty had expired. Now I have 2 options: get it fixed or buy a new one. I would just like for a company for once to stand behind their product. I dont think an 18 month life expectancy is what they had in mind. Especially since the last cheap microwave I had lasted 15 years without incident.
My Samsung French door fridge with drawer is only five years old and the fan in the top went out and the temperature raised to 54. No warranty so I called Sears (They were horrible!! Thats a whole other story). The parts are incredibly hard to get, it takes WEEKS!!! In the meantime our refrigerator is too warm! We lost lots of food and could only shop for one meal at a time! The next service man that came out told us we may as well replace it now rather than waste our money and that we were lucky to get 5 years out of it. That repairman told us to stay far away from Samsung appliances. We replaced it was a Maytag and are very happy we did.
Our Samsung FE-R300SX is 3 years old and we heard a loud pop and saw flames and smoke shooting out the back of the range. The circuit board caught fire. Samsung will not cover any of the expenses. Thankfully we saw it right away and our kitchen did not catch fire. This range should be recalled for safety. My husband and I were headed out the door when we heard the loud pop and saw the flames. We were baking Tater Tots and had the oven timer on. Our son was in his room playing video games and was going to turn off the oven when the timer went off. Our kitchen would have been on fire before he would have noticed a problem. We paid almost $700 for this range on sale and it is only 3 years old. We are very unhappy customers and will never buy anything Samsung again. They didnt even call me back about the problem. They sent an email to say they were sorry it caught fire, but they set me up for an out of warranty repair that I will have to pay for. I called them back and was told that I had no recourse and they would not cover the repair. Even thought there is a 5-year parts warranty, it does not cover the circuit board which caught fire.
Bought dishwasher dec 2013 and 5 year in home full warranty, when called for service got the royal runaround - put on hold for hours, sent repeated emails, no response, not even courtesy bot acknowledgement. Whole experience turned us off Samsung completely. Have never experienced such poor service response ever in my long consumer life as with Samsung.
RS267TDWP - I bought the Samsung double french door refrigerator about 3 years ago and 6 months into owning it had my first ice problem in the Fridge part. Every 2-3 months we have to open the panel in the back and unfreeze with hair dryer!! This is ridiculous. Even worse to hear Samsung isnt doing anything about it! I want help. Lets make Samsung accountable.
Purchased 5/31/18. Installed by Sears 6/8/18. Warranty out according to Samsung. Today is 6/819.. Same control panel out, will not turn off, had to turn power off at breaker. I will never buy another Samsung Dishwasher ever, our old cheap Whirlpool, lasted 15 years. 700.00 for this stainless steel, piece of junk. 1st repair was 1 month old. Buyer Beware.
I bought a full appliance set from electronic express here in Nashville. I bought refrigerator, range, dishwasher and over the range microwave. I spent about $5,0000.00. The microwave right after working one year it just quit working. I called Samsung they sent a tech and he fixed it. After 3 months the dishwasher never clean right. We started cleaning the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher, but finally it quit working - even the dishwasher detergent was left on the dish. I called Samsung and they said it is over a year and warranty expired. So I am out of luck. So I am planning to buy Whirlpool dishwasher since that was the old one I had which worked for over 9 years without a problem. I replaced it because my wife want a stainless steel set of appliance. I am disappointed at Samsung - such a big company makes a good cell phone and tablet like Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note, make a bad dishwasher. Why do not let them stay away from this business and let Whirlpool do the appliance. I will never buy Samsung appliance at all...
Terrible product, defective ice maker that can never be fixed. It gets replaced by Samsung multiple times and it still causes problems. Defective products sold over and over by Samsung. Ice maker leaks constantly then stops working and freezes shut. Impossible to use. Product was defective since week one.
