LGs customer service department is by far the worst company I have ever encountered. They have had repair company come to my house 3 times, not able to fix the problem. Had told me no part order was placed, the repair guy gave me invoice numbers for the parts order. The countless phone call to LG were a joke. Last one they tried tell me the the repair was cancelled, right after the repair company left my house. Tried the dryer and call them to tell them it still was not working. Asking for a supervisor and being disconnected twice, he told me the service provider was a third party. LG was the ones who set up the repair in the first place. I ruined over $400.00 worth of clothing, because LG told me to use time dry. Was not a good idea! I asked for a replacement and LG refused to condemn the dryer. I was put off, lied to, and had been given a run around by LG And had enough. I call Home depot. On the first call told me that they would make good on not only the dryer but the washer being that they were a set. Thank you Home Depot!!!!

We purchased an LG fridge and stove from Home Depot on January 3, 2014. We were given a date for delivery of Jan 24, 2014. So my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery. At 9:30 am we received a call from Home Depot asking if we had received a call from LG with our delivery time? We answered, no, we had not, and Home Depot staff said he would call LG to see when it was coming. Several hours later with no return call from anyone I called Home Depot (2:30 pm), only to be told that our products were out of stock and would now not be delivered until Feb 4, 2014. So upset over taking a day off and not even the smallest of respect for LG to call and inform us that our products were not coming, we wait until the next date. For Feb 4th comes and again my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery (surely if it was not coming today LG would have called to inform us). By 11 am we heard nothing so I placed a call to LG myself. It was at this time I was given the run around. I asked her if it was customary for them to not call their clients to inform them that their delivery is not coming. She told me it was Home Depots responsibility (I spoke with Home Depot and the told me it was their responsibility). I explained that I felt that was horrible customer service to not provide common courtesy. I let her know that it cost us money to stay at home for the 2 days and they couldnt pick up the phone. The customer services lady could not help me and when I asked to speak to a manager the manager would not take my call and instead gave me the number to call the delivery department. It was then I spoke with them and was told that it wasnt coming today either and had no idea when it was coming. Eventually we found out another delivery date of Feb 12. I wonder if I will ever get the items I paid for??
Tenemos esta máquina desde hace unos 2 años. No me gusta que no se pueda lavar una carga muy pequeña o ER, no se puede añadir agua primero, y en los últimos meses han estado constantemente recibiendo banderas WE. Front load clothes washer - whenever we start a new wash, after it sits more than 1 day, a putrid odor emits from it. It is about 5 years old & has happened since new. Per LG, we clean all the areas they told us & leave door & dispenser open when not in use. We have complaints to LG several times - but they were no help. This washer is one of the most expensive around.
Dryer performs as expected and is quiet. The top loader washer with no agitator takes time getting use to because it looks like its broken but appears to be normal. Though it uses less water adding more water seems to work better.
It is a basic fridge with no special features: comes standard ice maker. It has the side by side freezer and cooler which is nice in its self. First of all, these products need to be simplified on the manufacturing to save the environment. I dislike the fact that I did not get any cool features, I do have a basic model. I wanted a smart fridge, but you have to make a ton of money in order to afford one decent feature. I dislike the fact that certain features do not come as standard. I initially chose this product due to the price and not the features. In 2019, they should really have standard luxury features. None of these companies really care about the customer, its all about a profit.

Ive purchased many LG appliances over the years and have had good experiences. Last year I purchased an LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST french door model. A month or so after the 1 year warranty expired, the handle on the crisper broke in my hand. After calling customer service and describing my issue, I was told to go buy the replacement and that was that. Last year I spent over $10K in LG products and getting that response totally blew my mind. I spoke with a customer service rep who was totally polite and helpful but couldnt resolve my problem. He referred me to Brenda, his Supervisor. Brenda was the most arrogant, useless individual I have ever encountered. She told me to write a letter to the complaint department. She was able to recite the address very quickly. That may give anyone a clue! Dont buy their products.
This expensive refrigerator (MODEL LFX25778ST) was one of the worst purchases ever! The ice maker - only makes about 20 ice cubes on a good day. The ice maker itself breaks after 2 years and then it costs a fortune to fix. May as well buy another fridge. The Customer Service from LG was even worse than the product itself. Truly a horrible experience. I would caution anyone from buying LG. I have had to make several large purchases since this fridge and vowed to never buy LG again. I will never and will encourage anyone I know and influence to not buy LG. Not normally this type of person but when the consumer is being taken advantage of by such a big corporation its time to stop supporting that corporation.

I purchased my washer 7/17/2014. On or about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little puddle of water on the floor. I didnt think much about it, then the next day I was washing a load of clothes, and the little puddle became a flood. I called Lowes, Moreno Valley, California where I purchased the machine, and told my salesperson what had happened. he stated, Lets just bring out a new one. That sounded like a good idea since the machine was less than 2 months old. Then I was told, We have to have a tech come out and see what the problem is, before we can do an exchange. Ok, well the tech was scheduled for the next week. I work, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my house for the tech. (in the meantime - Lowes did send out a loaner machine, I have to do laundry. So the tech came out, and because the machine was not hooked up, he said he couldnt do anything and Lowes would have to have someone come and put the washer back in the laundry room. I called and spoke with my salesperson. So now they are going to send another tech out and will have their people come and hook up the washer.The men that came out and took the loaner away and put my washer in the laundry room, managed to put a scratch on the front of my washer. The next day the tech arrives, he tells me there is a hole in the pump, and he will have to order the part. I call Lowes, and am once again told that they will send out a loaner until my washer can be repaired, so here it is Friday 3 weeks later, no washer, and told that Lowes will have someone come out and paint the scratch. First the manager said he would knock of 10% of what I paid for the machine. Is he crazy? I had a new machine, looks like a used one. My complaint is with both LG and Lowes. Both places have given me the runaround, and the worst customer service.
The unit is larger than the one it replaced. French door gives more flexibility than side by side. Also, it has a door in door feature. Very good for conserving energy. Very nice looking and lots of room. Im very happy.
We purchased a LG 25 cu ft refrigerator on 11-21-13. Not a small expense, $1400.00, on sale, too. Model LFC25776ST. It lasted less than 2 years. We called the company, and got NO more than an answering machine, leave your message, and well call you back. NOTHING happened. There was NO response from the company. I will NEVER do business with LG again, and am still angry at the lack of concern or even response from the company. LG has shown exactly NO corporate responsibility.

Compramos una lavadora de carga frontal modelo WM3270CW en Best Buy el 06,25,18. Esta máquina sólo se utilizó con mucho cuidado en nuestra casa. Purchased LG #LFX5307265 on 11/9/2014. Came home today to the water in the door running. Water everywhere, luckily I knew how to turn the water off. Could not find a switch to turn it off on the refrigerator. Could not believe my eyes. Thankful I was not on vacation. I do not want it repaired, I want it gone. $3,200 lesson to never purchase LG. Because it is under warranty I have Sears coming out but I will move it to the garage.

Bought an LG french door, lasted all about a year, just stopped cooling. 6 repair attempts were made, none worked, so after months of not having a working refrigerator, LG refunded our money. Well I went to Sears, bought a Kenmore. Well it is made by LG, but hoping to Kenmore standards. Now less than 3 years later, this one has also failed. LG may make good TVs and washing machines. But they need to get out of the refrigerator department, complete failures, TWICE!!

We purchased a kitchen suite from Home Depot 11/17. First of all we had the dishwasher go out then the stove and finally the 4 door fridge. We bought the 3 year warranty for peace of mind so you would think we would be set. The customer service is overseas which isnt a problem except a few of them were hard to understand. They gave us the runaround and after 3 days and many hours on the phone I started keeping detailed notes of my conversations. I asked a employee for their full name or employee number but was told they are not allowed to share that information making it impossible to keep track of people for future references. We ended up losing 90 % of the food in the freezer and all in the refrigerator! We are having to eat out every night and unable to keep leftovers for work. I told them that my son is diabetic and his insulin needs to be refrigerated as well as does the babys whole milk. They said it will be approximately 2 weeks before a service tech will be available. Ive NEVER in my life had such a horrible experience with the purchase of new products and urge whomever is reading this to be cautious and review all products pro and cons before purchasing.
Updated on 06/24/2021: A lot has happened behind the scenes since I made the first post. LG stepped in and offered to set the situation right, so I gave them the opportunity to do so. As you will read here, not only did they fail to make things right, they ended up making it worse. I warn you now, it is not a short read. March 30-Must have gotten someone€s attention. An unidentified person (this is a trend) PMed me via Consumer Affairs (CA) and offered to address the situation. They asked for some info, including billing address for the original purchase. I gave info and waited.April 2- Offer to repair machine at their expense is forwarded to me through CA by an unidentified person. I agree to offer. Sometime after this point, LG orders 2 replacement parts, a new main control board and a display board. I am not sure why the control board was ordered, as it was obvious the display board was the problem. The display board is the problem on every one of these machines.April 6-I get a notification by text from a random number (never identified) informing me that I recently scheduled service for my machine to be performed on April 8. Only problem is, I didn€t schedule service. Someone from LG (never identified) took it upon themselves to schedule this service without consulting me as to whether this was an acceptable time. The text number this was sent from could not receive return calls or texts, and no contact information was available to reach out about this scheduled appointment.After some digging around on the LG site, I figured out that the service was indeed scheduled, and also found out at this time that the above-mentioned parts had been ordered (one part was on backorder) and shipped to the billing address I originally gave on CA. Only problem with this is that the machine is not at the billing address, therefore both the parts and the service tech were heading to the wrong address. If someone had contacted me when the appointment was made, I could have given the correct address. If some useable contact information was made available to me, or if anyone in this process so far had identified themselves, I could have shared the situation with the incorrect address. But none of those things had happened. I share this latest update with the unidentified PM contact on CA.April 7- A box arrives from LG. I open it to find a new control board. Not the display (the part that is actually broken) but the other random part. Turns out that the display board is on national backorder. Not surprising since the OEM display boards have a 100% failure rate. With every single unit of this model needing this part replaced, demand is clearly high.April 8-Tech Visit #1. The service technician calls me to tell me he is 10 minutes away. I then tell him that he is 10 minutes away from the wrong address. He finally gets to the machine (I was able to be there), swaps out the mainboard, figures out mainboard is not the problem. I knew this already. So did the tech before even doing the job. Once he determined the main board was not the problem, he swapped the original board back into the machine and left, planning to return when the display board arrived. Since the mainboard did not appear bad, he returned the new mainboard to LG. This would prove to be a regretful decision.April 13- New display board arrives. I contact service tech and he schedules the next day to come install it. April 14-Tech shows up for Visit #2 (the fact I am giving numerical designations to tech visits should tell you something) and installs display board. I am not at the house this time, or much of the remaining catastrophe would likely have been avoided. According to my wife, he swapped out the board, hit the power button to see it power up, packed up his stuff and left. He did no function check or system diagnosis whatsoever, just looked for the lights to power up. He also went into the LG service system and reported the repair job complete. It was not, and the fact that he did report it as such would create problems down the road.After tech leaves, wife loads machine and tries to run it. After about a minute, it shut down and gave an error code indicating no water flow. I get home and check water supply to make sure that we didn€t have that turned off. I will also mention at this time that I have degrees in both electronic and mechanical engineering, and have been working as a design engineer and troubleshooting technician for electro-mechanical systems over 30 years. So I was able to deduce that we had sufficient water flow, but the electric water valve in the machine was not turning on. I contacted the tech, and he informed me he would come by the next day and check it out.April 15- Tech comes back for Visit #3. During this visit I learned the tech was a refrigeration expert, and had limited experience with dishwashers. He was competent, just not that experienced with LG dishwashers. He figures out that he had plugged something together incorrectly. I am not clear whether this mistake was made during Visit #1 and the incorrect connection was made at the mainboard, or during Visit #2 and the incorrect connection was made at the display board. I suspect it was #1 and the problem was at the mainboard because one of the connectors he attached incorrectly was to the main water valve, thus the valve did not work, as I had identified. Wherever the problem, he swapped the connectors around, ran a diagnostic, declared it good, and left again. When we powered up the machine I could hear the water valve now working, but after about a minute, the same error code and shutdown occurred.April 15 Part 2-The tech comes back that night for Visit #4 (told you we needed numbering). I am there, and we spend quite a bit of time checking out the machine. I teach him a few things about how the systems operate, and using some of my electronic testing equipment we figure out that the system is not seeing a signal from the water flow sensor. Hoping sensor might be bad, the tech ordered a replacement sensor.April 20-Tech got part, and stops by for Visit #5. Flow sensor not the problem. He spends over 2 hours of troubleshooting, including 2 calls to the service center for technical support. They go through everything, including checking the wiring harness. Nothing bad with wiring, but the mainboard is not supplying power to the sensor. It was never admitted to me, but I will bet a month€s pay that when he incorrectly connected the plugs in Visit #1 or #2, the sensor power supply on the mainboard was damaged. If he had not already sent back the new mainboard (remember I said this would be a regretful decision?) he could have swapped in the new board and likely fixed the problem. But he didn€t have the parts, and he was eventually told by the Service Center to stop attempting repair and RMA the machine.April 21- An unidentified person contacted me by text to inform me that the Alternate Resolution claim was started. But I should be prepared for it to be denied because the computer system says that all parts are functional. Remember the tech incorrectly reporting the machine repaired after Visit #2? An explanation by myself containing actual factual information and logic did nothing to change the response.April 23- I receive a phone call from LG asking about how I rated the service I had received in early April. Because the tech had reported he completed the repair, the gentleman calling me had no idea the job was botched, and he wanted to know how I rated my service experience on my freshly-repaired and perfectly-operating LG dishwasher. I don€t think he was very fond of my answers.May 1- Received voice mail from someone at LG telling me I was to be offered a bit over $500 for my permanently broken $1k machine. It further instructed me to contact Shakiah M about payout. May 5-When I talk to Shakiah, I€m told the actual number offered is even less. After several back and forth discussions on both text message and email, I agree to accept the offer, as long as there is no legally-binding contract included. I am assured there is not.Side note: It€s bad enough that almost no one from LG ever identifies themselves, but I am even more amazed by the amount of correspondence throughout this process done by text message on a cell phone. Is this what we call professional corporate behavior in 2021? Text messages? What are we, high-schoolers? May 28- Finally get a written offer. And that assurance there is no legally-binding component to the offer? Not true. I must waive off all rights to pursue further action if I accept this offer.Let€s recap: I started this process with a top-shelf machine with a single defective part. A $200 replacement part and 15 minutes of effort to install this part would have fixed my machine. But thanks to the mistake made by the service tech, I now have a junk machine. And what is the offer from LG after three months of hassle to fix all of this? Half what it will cost to replace it. Now I have a choice. LG is so in breach of contract here (not the warranty, BTW) that I will almost assuredly win in court. But small claims court is a hassle. I have tried to give LG the opportunity to make this right, and they continue to fail me, and will no longer even respond to me.30 day deadline to accept offer is June 27, three days from now. If LG really wants to make this right, then they need to do something better than half replacement cost for a machine THEY BROKE. If not, looks like I will see them in court. And I won€t be suing for just the cost of the machine. Punitive damages will be added on as well, and I have high confidence in my case and my ability to present it. I have been an expert witness in court proceedings several times, so court does not faze me. I don€t want the hassle of it, but I won€t be treated as a pushover either. This is LG€s mistake, LG needs to fix it with a reasonable offer.Original Review: We bought an LG LDP6797BD dishwasher in 2018, with the intentions of putting it in our house being remodeled. We used it in our rental home for about 8-10 months before removing it from service and putting it in storage. It never got installed in the house, so after sitting for 2 years, we pulled it out of storage and put it in another rental property where it has worked flawlessly for 5 months. Now after a total service life of 13-15 months, we walk in the kitchen one day to find it dead. Wont power up, wont light up, wont reset. Looking at a few videos, I picked up a line filter. Not the problem. In fact, once I had it apart to change the line filter, I could see the red LED lighting on the board. So clearly it has power. Then after some more research, I find the web full of similar complaints. The number of purchasers with failures occurring, conveniently almost immediately after the end of their one-year warranty, is simply staggering. The Amazon listing for this dishwasher has 100% 1-Star ratings. Let that sink in. 100% 1-star ratings, I have never seen that on ANYTHING in my life. And especially not on an item that costs $1000. This design clearly has a significant design flaw somewhere. The number of instances of identical failure occurring within a span of 12-16 months of service life is not a coincidence, and this statement is coming from a highly-experienced engineer with 3 decades of experience in design and manufacture of electro-mechanical systems. I know better than to believe that any manufacturer can take products to market and NEVER make a mistake in the design cycle. But what that manufacturer chooses to do about it when mistakes happen is what defines a company. This machine has a major design flaw, LG knows it, and apparently has chosen to do nothing about it. And I guess they have a right to not do anything about it. Well, I have a right to do something about it as well. If LG continues to leave customers like myself that spent quite a bit of money on a clearly defective product, then it will be the last of my money LG will ever see. And I will go out of my way, every chance I get, to encourage as many people as possible to also not ever spend THEIR money on an LG product. This is site number 2 for the day, I wonder how many more times I can tell this story before the weekend is over?If LG believes that not addressing this issue will save them money, I can assure you it will not. They will lose far more money from me alone than what it would cost them to make this right with me. Add to that lost revenue the amount of money they will lose with all the people I convince to not ever buy LG as well, and this will quickly become an expensive mistake many, many times over what it would take to fix it. If everyone else being screwed does the same, we can make a statement that LG simply will not be able to ignore. LG, the ball is in your court.
I bought LG Refrigerator Model #LFX31925ST about a year ago and all of a sudden it started making this irritating noise that is coming from around the bottom of the fridge. After making so many complaints to LG explaining to them about my problem they were telling me that the fridge was not sitting on a level floor. Making a long story short after a long battle with LG they finally send a technician to fix my problem. He told me to take all the food out of the freezer and he removed the panel that was covering the fan and replaced it with a panel that has a heater. When I asked him why he admitted to me about the design flawed where the fan builds ice and thats where the noise was coming from. He said the new panel has a built in heater so it will not build ice and that he is going around and changing this panel for customers who complain about this problem. For LG not to admit this problem and giving me the run around for more than a year was unacceptable. Had I not bought the extended warranty they would have not bothered to even do anything about it. This is being disingenuous and unfair business practice. So if you have noise problem call LG and ask them straightforward to come and change the panel regardless it being out of warranty or not. Sad but true!
Last August, I purchased an LG 31 cubic foot side by side refrigerator. A couple of months ago, it started making a loud noise and did not seem to be keeping food as cold. I called LG and they promptly dispatched a repairman. He was wonderful... spent 5 hours in my house and told me he didnt think that it was fixed and would be back in a couple of weeks and to call if there was an issue. A few days later, it started making a different noise and everything in the freezer melted. He came back, looked at some things and said he thought it should be replaced and would start the process with LG and we unplugged it due to the noise. A few days later, LG told him to to come back and try something again. He did, and it started cooling again. So I restocked. Within a couple of days, it stopped cooling again. Repairman came out again, to run some more tests. So, here I am 5 weeks after the initial repairman visit, 4+ weeks after my refrigerator stopped working all together, and several calls to LG directly getting nothing but the runaround. FINALLY, someone called me back, told me they would be sending a replacement 7-10 business days after they send me a form to fill out and I send the form back. AND, they have the nerve to tell me that I am responsible for disposing of the old refrigerator. SERIOUSLY???? What a joke. This must be the worst customer service experience EVER.

I received an LG front load washer at 12 noon today. I did the first load which spewed soapy water on the floor. I did subsequent small loads with no overflow. The dispensers retain clear water after cycle completed. I contacted LG to question why the water remains in the dispensers and why the overflow. I was informed that I used too much soap which caused the overflow. This is my second LG, and I am no dummy. I know how to fill the soap dispenser to the normal or max levels using HE products. The response from LG is We only recommend 2 tbs for a big load. I measured the amount of liquid to fill to the normal mark which is 5 tbs and to the max level which is 7 tbs.I explained this to the LG rep and the response was, We have already sent this numerous times to the designers. WHAT??? They know about the problem, continue to produce the product using the same improper guides in the manual and intuitively, the consumer follows the dispenser level marks and provide no ALERT to consumer!!! Of course, I still needed to know about the clear water remaining in the dispensers. That is normal. The dispenser dispenses by overfilling the drawer, that is shy there is water remaining at the end. Of course! We all want stagnated water to sit in the drawer possibly turning moldy and smelly to be dispensed into the next load of wash! I am absolutely incredulous!How can a manufacturer possibly continue to produce and sell such a subpar product? I was pleased with my last LG that performed well for 6 years and recently started to overflow and would not pump the water adequately out of the washer. Not wanting to put money into repairs, I foolishly elected to purchase a new and improved LG washer. What kind of fool am I?
Updated on 10/08/2020: LG asked for information on 9/30/2020 so they can send out a repairman and I havent heard from anyone since. I have two kids to feed and I need my stove, it would be of great service if LG would honor their word and product.Original Review: We replaced all of our GE appliances that we had well over ten years with LG because of the design and salesman said its a good product. The gas range model# LRG3193BD, side by side refrigerator model #LSXS26386D, dishwasher model #805KWYPOP434 and the front load washer and dryer spending a good $8000 less than 2yrs ago. The stove looks like its 10yrs old (easy clean is a whole joke, food seared on pretty blue oven which I now have to clean myself). We have discoloration on the door handle, knobs, grates and burners all within a couple months of use.. Now the main board has gone out and to top that off we find out it has since been discontinued. Called LG customer service (nightmare). They refused to sell us the part saying only license repair Co can order. Had to pay repair Co $116 come to tell us they cannot get the part. Called LG again (nightmare) and all of a sudden they can send us the part for $106 but its on backordered. The refrigerator is discoloring in areas we dont even touch and the ice-maker starts and stops when it wants to. The dishwasher doesnt clean or dry well and the slightest touch turns it on. Where you put the detergents has rusted and its hard to clean and we have to leave the washer open after use or it smells to high heaven, dryer is ok. Remember these products are no more than 2yrs old. I will never buy LG products again nor will I recommend to anyone!
LG True Balance Washer - I agree with every negative review I have read. Bought this expensive laundry set that doesnt get clothes clean, throws itself off balance no matter how large or small the load is. Takes forever to do a few small loads and the clothes come out spotty (white clothes w/ detergent stains). I also bought the matching dryer that takes several tries to get the clothes dry. Dont use the high heat or your clothes stink. Very unhappy. Wish they would trade them out with something that works.

We purchased a LG refrigerator in November, it has stopped working. A repair person John has come to our house 8 times, everything has replaced board compressor, we have lost food as of today. It still doesnt work, we have no refrigerator after we spent 2800. LG corporate office all they say is contract says we fix in home... how many times?

Compré mi frigorífico LG hace 5 años y el congelador y el frigorífico no se enfrían a temperatura ambiente. Llamé al servicio de atención al cliente y me dijeron que podría venir alguien el día 18, lo cual no funciona porque tengo el frigorífico lleno de comida. Me dijeron que podían proporcionarme una lista de reparadores autorizados de LG y que podía recurrir a ellos para el trabajo en garantía. Compré un microondas LG y casi inmediatamente, las luces de la estufa se derritieron y quemaron las cubiertas de plástico. Price was the best. Delivery was fast. Old refrigerator was taken. Size of compartments were good. Design is nice. Cost is excellent. Different compartments for easy access to food and drinks color choices and size available were also taken into consideration. Ice maker which breaks mine has been repaired at least five times since purchased.
We bought an LG freezer on the bottom french door refrigerator a couple of years ago. One year later, the computer board went out. It wasnt in the warranty. We had to pay for a new computer board. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. Shame on all those manufacturers!
I bought an LG washing machine and ever since we had it, we have had nothing but problems with it. We had it repaired three times and it is still not right. It got so bad that we have bought another washing machine for a spare, not lg. While we wait for it to be repaired, even with know-how insurance we still cant get no satisfaction. Their logo €lifes good€ does not live up to their name.
LG French refrigerator is only 4 years old and it just stopped cooling, causing all of the food to spoil. Customer service is a complete joke. Most appliance repair companies will not even attempt to work on LG since customer support is a total farce. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT PURCHASE ANY LG APPLIANCES.
LG Refrigerator, Model LSC 27931ST quit cooling over the weekend. Compressor does not turn on. Called LG customer service. Got no one who could understand or speak English. Contacted a local appliance repair. Service tech. analysis is replace relay/overload. Service tech says the parts are not available - $85.00 gone. Talked with LG Customer Service the next Monday. They tell me I must talk with a LG referred service contractor/repair. LG gives me the number for A&E Service/Repair. Same as before. Relay & Overload Assembly. Parts N/A - $75.00 gone. Talked again with LG customer service and get names for three (3) parts suppliers for LG parts. Again not available, discontinued. Refrigerator was purchased from Best Buy w/ a 5 year extended warranty that expired six (6) months ago. LG customer service has not helped in any way.
I have the 4 French door model LMXS30776S I bought it Nov. 2014... It was delivered late Jan 2015. This Jan 2017 it stopped cooling... Home Depot sent a repair man (I bought 5 year extended warranty). He said the compressor went bad and LG had to repair... Since then. LG repair person has the first call replaced the compressor... Still didnt work. The second visit fixed a leak and installed a new PCB board. That was on 2-17-17. Guess what 3 days later still not fixed... This is the worst product I ever purchased and at almost $3000 dollars. It will be the last LG I will ever buy.
I purchased an LG top load washer in 3/11 from Best Buy. I had unbalance issues almost from the start. Finally May this year, I contacted a service repair to find out what is going on. They couldnt figure out the problem and called LG for answers. It got them nowhere. I called LG and found out my washer had a recall and they would have a service repair done. They scheduled an appointment that a part had to be ordered so the date had to be changed. 10 days later, the part was put in my washer. It still doesnt work right. I have had 3 service calls on it. Everyone tells me my washer has so many problems dont bother getting it fixed. I have tried to talk to someone at LG to be transferred from one dept. to the next to emailing. The website wont let me make a complaint. I was sent a survey and did let them know my washer still doesnt work and Im very dissatisfied with LG. I have tried everything I can think of to get answers to fix a 2-year old washer. Now Im being told just to buy a new washer. LG service is terrible and their product sucks. I will never buy anything from LG again.
I cannot believe I have been duped by LG - I have had one problem after another with this refrigerator (LFXS29766S) that cost $2884.00 and was purchased in April 2015. Worked fine for almost a year. I called Home Depot where it was purchased when the ice and water on the door failed. They said, too bad it was 13 months after purchase and they only cover up to 12 months. Water failed again and had to be fixed. Now, it stopped cooling and no fan. Every service repair company turned me down to work on this fridge because they are notorious for being as one said crappy - needless to say, I am a very unhappy person and will NEVER by an LG appliance again. (I have a LG TV and dishwasher so they have lost a loyal customer.)
This LG True Steam front loading washer I purchased at Home Depot has put rips in the legs of 3 pairs of jeans. I have inspected the inside and cannot find any sharp spots that would rip a pair of jeans. I did find that there is a plastic yellow fitting in the front top of the rubber bladder that has a slot in it. The plastic fitting in the bladder looks like it is being pulled away from it seating in the bladder, and possibly could be catching the jeans and creating a series of rips.
We purchased the LG1443KDS at the end of 2011. The machine vibrated so badly it would travel the length of the utility floor and destroyed the large rubber drum seal. The repair technician advised the retailer to replace the machine, that was subsequently done. The replacement washing machine has displayed the same characteristics on a number of occasions other than destroying the drum seal. The noise from this appliance is on a par to pneumatic drill being used indoors, and could quite easily injure a small child or animal when the violent motions take place, lifting it clear of where it is situated.We also contacted LG directly regarding our concerns, but were merely brushed off. Absolutely no interest in their customers or appliance aftercare. This washing machine was extremely expensive, but is the worst appliance we have ever owned. This is the first ever LG appliance and is DEFINITELY our last. Purchase junk from this manufacturer at your peril.
I purchased a LG Refrigerator (model no: LSC27910SW) about 4 years ago. 4 months into it the icemaker broke. 8 months after that the lever for the icemaker would get stuck when you pushed it in forcing you to manually grab the lever to stop water/ice. Had it fixed again. 1 1/2 into it it started doing it again. We have been living with it like that. NOW the outside of the refrigerator is rusting all around the outside of the dispenser and on the corners of it. I live in Colorado. We dont have humidity. I E-mail LG 2 days ago. No response. Called LG today. They said Sorry but we cant do anything for you. I told them, I am buying a new refrigerator, do you want me to buy a LG again? His response was thats up to you. I will never buy ANYTHING LG again.
In September of 2012, I purchased the 31 CF capacity LG French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. Right away, water leaked out onto my tiled floor. The store manager actually came out and fixed it for me; he replaced a faulty part, and no more leak. Then, when we would set the freezer temp to -2 degrees F, the panel would light up with error codes, and the water and ice dispenser wouldnt work. LG service said not to set freezer below 0 as it causes the mother board to freeze up. Had to unplug it for six hours, to reset it. ??? Why have settings if you cant use them? Went along fine, but ice cubes remained a bit watery. Then one morning last week, opened freezer to a mess of thawed food. Then the error codes began coming on again. It is so sad there is apparently no quality control at LG!! Beautiful concept, but for $3300 one would expect to get more than ten and a half months out of a major appliance! Calls to Geek Squad with a promise someone would contact me within 48 hours. No call for over a week! I raised Caine, and now they are replacing my unit with one of my choosing. I am going with the new, four door Samsung with Soda stream. Fingers crossed! Get it together LG!!!
4 months after purchase of this LG Top Load washer the basket bangs, slams, smashes like crazy. Have to shut it down each time. Will not level no matter what I have tried. Leveled all legs, machine etc. Tried spreading cloths around. Big loads, small, loads everything but the basket feels as if its busted and floating. I tried calling LG, Sears, Kenmore etc. Of course everyone states that its not warranted or under any type of recall. I paid about $1,000.00 for this plus $900 for the drier. I am forced to purchase another new one as I was completely scammed with this LG Top Load washer Inverter Direct Drive TrueBalance junk. Will never again purchase anything made by Sears, Kenmore or LG. Notice the big letters 10 YEAR WARRANTY!!! Another consumer marketing LG scam.
I had my washer serviced many times. Its waste of money, energy and, water too. Some days it take hours for loads to be washed. Im not joking. LG customer service sucks big time!!! I read all the complaints and mine has all the same issue as everyones washer. The washers are a LEMON!!! And no class action lawsuit? Someone must be in bed with LG...
We purchased our LG Refrigerator in October 2016. It is a French door with dual ice makers. We did love it but like so many others... our compressor broke and our food was ruined. No small expense. Because there is such a demand for replacement compressors I was told there was a back order on them and it took 10 days to get it fixed. Additionally, we cannot get the right fruit/vegetable bin (when facing the refrigerator) out to clean it without breaking it. The gentleman who repaired did get it out and broke it in the process. If anyone would care to shed light on this I would greatly appreciate it. I did read the manual and when you follow the directions, it jams against the door.Also, there in a clear plastic easy access door inside the main french door that catches and pulls open each time you open the main door. Our solution to this was to tape it shut. Lastly, the handle has a button to push to open to access milk and other beverages and apparently it is painted plastic not stainless steel like the rest of the handle because the paint wore off the first year... Looks pretty bad for a high end fridge.

No tiene sentido invertir dinero bueno en dinero malo. No volveré a comprar un producto LG.
We purchased our LG Refrigerator for several thousand dollars six years ago. It had a five year warranty. After five years, the area below the ice maker and water dispenser became rusted. When we called the company, they told us that was for decorative purposes. After the five year warranty expired, the piece between the french doors is broken, so it does not close properly. Now today, we woke up to realize that the freezer and fridge have randomly stopped working for no reason. We needed to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of food in our freezer yesterday and will be shopping for a new fridge. I would not advise ANYONE to purchase anything from LG.
Tengo esta lavadora desde hace más de un año y estoy muy insatisfecha con ella. NO recomendaría a nadie que comprara esta lavadora. Sólo puedes soñar con conseguir un lavado caliente a menos que cierres el grifo de agua fría. Entonces tienes que abrirlo para conseguir suficiente agua para el aclarado. Las sábanas se retuercen en nudos y otros artículos de ropa envueltos en ellos. Hay que parar la máquina y desenredar las sábanas. Durante el lavado, una de las sábanas se hincha cubriendo toda la carga y esto requiere otro ajuste manual. Tuve una lavadora de carga superior Samsung que fue retirada del mercado porque el tambor se aflojaba. Ojalá le pasara esto a esta lavadora para poder deshacerme de ella. Si pudiera darle - 0 estrellas, esa sería mi calificación. No puedo enfatizar lo suficiente, usted no será feliz con esta lavadora. No todas las críticas negativas. Todos ellos son verdaderos.
Ive had two 30+ cubic ft LG french door refrigerators in the last 1.5 years. Both completely failed within 6 months. The first had 5 to 6 weekend repairs before it was replaced. No food reimbursement for loss of over 500 in food. The second had 3 sealed component fail in the first year as well. Sears finally refunded my money and I went with Whirlpool. 6 of 7 LG Customer service representatives were rude and completely lacked empathy. I wrote corporate a 3 page letter and they never responded. Life is NOT good with LG! I will never buy any LG product going forward because I got such a bad taste of their customer service. I wouldnt even consider a Kenmore Elite, which I really wanted.

My refrigerator was purchased in August 2017. Now 13 months later this 1200$ item died between 5:30 in the evening and 8 pm. It was dead. I have called LG every day since and get sent from one person to another. They did not even have a tech in my area, small-town in AZ. Finally got one out a week later. The main board went out. 400$ plus for the part, 4 to 6 weeks to get one. By the time Im am done, if ever it will cost almost as much as mine did new for the repair. Stay away from LG!!!
My refrigerator is less than 4 year old and has stopped cooling. It is either a loss of coolant or a failed compressor, both of which are still in warranty. They scheduled a tech to investigate the problem the following day. This appointment was canceled by LGs automated system after the scheduled time for the visit with a statement that they would schedule something within 3 to 5 business days. I called LG to express my pleasure at the level of their customer service and was told that the repair will probably take somewhere between 5 and 7 days IF the parts are available. In the meantime, I am without a refrigerator.
This washer was purchased in late 2013. Within the first year I was experiencing issues with codes like LE and UE and complete freezes of the control panel. The washer would stop in an unknown cycle at that time and basically force you to rewash the clothes. Calling LG support was no help at that time and I simply lived with it until recently when I was constantly getting unbalanced load errors uE, UE. It got to where I could not complete a cycle at all. I had to go into special mode and try to spin the clothes which was in the end impossible. I called LG several times over the years with nothing ever coming of it. Finally in late August 2016, I was forced to purchase a service contract for $275 just to get one of their certified technicians to come look at the washer.The first tech replaced a part on the bottom of the washer that contained lots of magnets. Sorry I dont remember the part name. This seemed like it made it worst. A second technician arrived several days later and called an engineer in Alabama to diagnose the problem and they immediately decided it was in need of a software update or circuit board change. They opted for the board change because the tech told the engineer he did not have the capabilities of the software update so he would order a board. He basically told me he lied to the engineer to force them to change the board. I suppose it was to my benefit to rule out the board being bad if the software update didnt fix it. Ill never know if the software update would have fixed it. The board arrived the next day and 4 days later he replaced it and now the machine is working fine.My problem with this is they should have suspected the board or software from the first phone call I made. Clearly there is a known issue with this machine and the software. They forced me to purchase a service contract I should not have had to purchase. I have read of many instances of the same problem with this machine. I tried and failed to get them to refund my money.
Bought washer about 4 years ago expecting it to last 15 years or more like the previous one. Suddenly completely stopped working during a wash cycle. Replaced the main control board, but now it goes through different cycles for the same program and some of the features dont work like before. LG wouldnt stand by their product. Dont recommend it, as they dont seem to care about the quality of their product.
Didnt buy an extended warranty because all my old refrigerators have ran for 12 years plus. And LG claims life is good. Well life is not good when your 2 year old refrigerator takes a dump and you just cant have anyone come and repair your refrigerator because LG only sell replacement parts to LG certified technicians. Their list of certified technicians is very limited and have horrible reviews in yelp. This is my first LG appliance and it will be my last.
Tengo una estufa eléctrica LG. EL HORNO NUNCA HA FUNCIONADO BIEN. Lo he llevado al servicio técnico varias veces. purchased april of 2014. 2 days ago refrigeration quit working (both freezer & refrigerator). Called LG customer service, individual I was put in touch with spoke very poor english, would not or could not help, was told it was basically my problem because the warranty of 12 months had expired. After making numerous calls to try someone who works on LG (another problem in itself) I called back to LG customer service. This time I had an individual who spoke understandable english. When I explained my problem we started the same song & dance routine that I went through earlier. Finally he told me I would have to call their service tech. He gave me the # for a company in pa. (I live in ohio about 25 miles from the pa state line). I told him that they would not drive that far, but I called them & they said they dont service ohio.I now have a sears tech coming to look @ refrigerator next week. Absolutely fed up with LG customer service department & their products (entire kitchen is LG appliances). Will never purchase another LG product as long as I live. This might seem like a long complaint, but I feel that everyone should know that the way youre treated when shopping for their appliances sure is not the way you are treated after you purchase them.

Purchased an LG fridge model LFX29945ST from our local Home Depot. Weve had this fridge for almost 2 yrs now but we have had a number of issues after the first year of owning this POS. First issue is the annoying high pitch noise that comes from the compressor at times. Called Tech support and was told that our Fridge was not leveled and was most likely the cause of the issue. Our fridge is perfectly leveled and our house is only 2 yrs old with a perfectly leveled floor. Second issue is the lower freezer door will not close all the way at times due to ice building up on the tracks for the Freezer Door not allowing the door to seal the Freezer completely. I occasionally have to chip the ice away so the freezer door will close all the way so our food does not thaw out in the freezer. The last and final issue that weve had with this fridge, is at the bottom of the control panel next to the water and ice dispenser one day just started discoloring and peeling and now our fridge looks worse than our previous fridge that was 6 yrs old. I expected better quality for the price and wish I never bought this Fridge at all. DO NOT BUY!!
Bought this $2600.00 LG refrigerator 1 1/2 years ago and of course it breaks 6 months after warranty expiration. Theres only one servicer in our area. They came to diagnose the problem right away the week before July 4th and company is coming. They ordered the parts from LG but after no contact with them for days we finally called them and they inform us that the parts (Compressor and board) are on back order for 4 weeks (JULY 21st). The back order date is four weeks out!! And we lost over $50.00 in food. Thank god it wasnt more!!We had to buy a Samsung floor model (Cheaper) to get us by and not lose more food. Every time I call to get an update because no one calls us back, I get a foreign speaking person I can hardly understand and placed on hold for 10-50 Minutes!!! I have been told that there are at least 9 people in our area (Valdosta Ga) with this exact same issue with their LG refrigerators!! This is not acceptable! There are a few in a worse circumstance than us, such as an elder couple that just had open heart surgery and no refrigerator now! A single mother with 5 children to feed. Now the only service company in our area doesnt seem to know where the board is and LG says it was delivered! The service center DDD in Albany/Adel says they use a different vender Marcone and it is on back order with them not LG?! WTH!
Es muy fácil de usar. Limpia bien y tiene un montón de opciones que ahorran tiempo y agua y adivinar qué ajuste a utilizar. He tenido y utilizado cargadores frontales antes y este se ajusta a la factura. El único inconveniente, si se puede llamar así, es que hay que dejar la puerta entreabierta al terminar para evitar el olor a moho. Pero eso es realmente normal para un cargador frontal y este es mejor que la mayoría.
Me encanta esta máquina. Es perfecta en todos los sentidos. Tiene todos los ciclos, deja mi ropa limpia y tiene una señal cuando ha terminado. También tiene una gran capacidad, y maneja mantas y camas de perro, sin problema.
Professional company, ice maker, friends and family recommend LG refrigerator, heard reviews on it that it was good. Did meet my expectations on what I wanted the fridge to do which is store and keep my food cold. Enjoy storing food in it and keeps food cold. Looks nice. Ice maker, water machine and the bright inside of the fridge, the exterior is a nice material. That is all I like about the LG fridge. But improve space inside fridge. Dont like double doors. Too many shelves. Not enough room. Side by side doors.

Ella fue muy grosera y corta conmigo, declarando continuamente Es nuestra política que no podemos enviar más pomos y me dio el departamento de pedidos de piezas para que pudiera pagar por un conjunto de mí mismo. Incluso llegó a culparme por los mandos rotos diciendo que tal vez estaba usando el horno de forma incorrecta y que ella no vivía en mi casa por lo que no podía verificar que yo dijera la verdad de que los mandos eran defectuosos. Básicamente me dijo que tengo que pagar los 150 dólares que cuesta cambiar los mandos cada dos años. Lo cual supera claramente el coste de la cocina. Incluso me colgó porque le hice preguntas que se negó a responder porque sabía que expondría a LG como una empresa fraudulenta que no respalda su producto. Volví a llamar y hablé con Erica, que fue muy amable y me dijo que me enviaría la queja. Por ahora parece que tendré que pagar el coste del nuevo aparato y reparar el defecto de fábrica con una solución que encontré en YouTube y que consiste en colocar un tubo de latón sobre el pomo. Espero que podamos ganar esta batalla contra LG. Está claro que el diseño del pomo es muy pobre en ingeniería por parte de LG o simplemente demasiado barato para usar aluminio en lugar de plástico cromado.
Machine was working and stopped, quit. No power whatsoever in the middle of the load!! When your LG washing machine quits working, as it will and locks the door with water in it with your nice clothes that will smell bad if you do not get them out. Here is how you can unlock the door without any power source to the machine.Step 1: First get soft flat kitchen spatula and use it between top of washer and front panel, on each side or corner there is a latch or tab that will allow you to get the complete top up and have access to the lid or door and also the drum.Step 2: There should be a red string on the side of the latch underneath the door or lid, pull on string on right side of lock and push up on lid or door and this should release your lid.Step 3 You will need a shop vac wet/dry or a sump pump to get the bad smelling water out so your house does not stink for the next week or two before the repair person shows up.This worked for us, when we could not find any site that told you how to do this so we wanted to tell anybody that may need help. We were told it would be a week or more before repairman would be here and did not want to throw away all of our clothes to mold and stink water. Hope this helps!!
Love the design. But freezer is not great. Iced up most of the time. Noisy after a few months. Front button finish comes off. This is my second LG and both finishes have come off. Now the panel over the buttons is coming off. Getting service on the LG is a nightmare. Going to cost me over 300.00 to fix it. Awful.

Sears dijo que sería una conversión fácil de Gas Natural a Propano. Sears pidió el kit de conversión y llegó dos días antes que la secadora LG. Cambiamos todos los electrodomésticos de la cocina por LG hace unos 5 años. Un gran error. De los 4 (frigorífico, horno, lavavajillas y cocina), 3 han tenido problemas importantes y repetidos. Después de tenerlo durante 5 años, nuestro microondas LG Extenda-Vent se incendió. Claro, ya había problemas antes, como otros han mencionado -el conducto de ventilación extensible no se cierra y las piezas se rompen debido al calor del horno (un mal diseño, claramente, ya que se trata de una unidad sobre la cocina), pero esta vez, mi marido calentó algo y el microondas se incendió. Llamas de verdad. Por suerte teníamos un extintor y lo apagamos rápidamente pero, ¿qué pasaría si los niños estuvieran solos en casa e intentaran calentar algo? ¿Qué pasaría si no estuviéramos en la cocina y nos diéramos cuenta del humo? He leído muchas quejas sobre estos microondas que se incendian. ¿O para que alguien cierre LG por completo? Todos sus productos (crucemos los dedos por la estufa) tienen algún defecto de diseño importante. Y otros tienen razón sobre el servicio de atención al cliente, también. LG should be thoroughly ashamed that they have released this piece of junk in the public domain. The washer does not use enough water to wash properly and leaves clothes stinking and gross. The thing vibrates like crazy on spin cycles, it sounds like it is going to rip itself apart half the time. Yes, you can use less detergent and leave the door open, and clean the thing with bleach every week, but your clothes still end up stinking. As punishment, I think the designers of (and those who tested) this travesty of engineering should be forced to use it for a year so they can see what everyone is talking about. I will never buy another LG product because of this or recommend them to anyone. The company deserves to go under for such a horrible transgression.
Purchased new LG side by side from Home Depot in fall of 2012. Rust started appearing under the water/ice maker after the 1 year warranty had passed. The shelves also started to break about that time. It looks disgusting and I called LG for remedy and they said for me to do regular maintenance! Now I have moved to another home that has stainless appliances and cannot use this white fridge. Who wants it now... No one due to the rust on the front. Horrible experience.
Do not buy this junk. If you want your clothes clean...forget it. My clothes come out stinking. I want my old washer back. No water in this machine. It dry washes everything. The clothes smell worse than when they went in. I wish I could get my money back. Garbage garbage garbage. You can not soak anything or control anything you want. We need to get a class action lawsuit going.
Purchased in 2015 to replace a 10+ year old GE. Worst mistake we ever made was to spend $2700 on an LG 3 French Door model number: LFXS30766S /02. I am going to spare you the long version. After 18 mos the water dispenser stopped working and we were told it was not repairable. We kept using the ice maker but it began to lock up due to ice build up with every filling. We battled that for six months and decided to just turn the water off to the unit. Today - less than 3 years after purchased the unit stopped cooling and we lost most everything in the freezer and refrigerator. What a piece of junk!! We will NEVER EVER EVER buy anything from LG EVER AGAIN!!!
I purchased this washer new from Home Depot and in less than three years I noticed rust around the bleach dispenser. I purchased this machine because it was top of the line. Now it is just a rusty washer.
The reason why our clothes will not get clean is the the bad smell and black mold coming from the washing machine. I recently realized the source of our recurring upper respiratory infections and skin rashes.
We purchased an entire suite of kitchen appliances in 2015 from Home Depot. The oven failed two weeks ago due to a broken igniter. Repairman said LG igniters last about 3 years. $200 repair. Last night (during dinner when we were home thank goodness) the in-the-door water suddenly decided to turn on by itself, ejecting water onto our hardwood floors. I ran over to try and stop in and slipped and fell in the puddle. Husband ran downstairs to turn off the water which stopped the flow, but the motor kept running as if the water was trying to flow. Reset the breaker which finally stopped the motor from churning. At 1 a.m., the ice maker decided to start spewing ice across the kitchen waking us, the kids, and the dogs as it sounded like a rapid-fire machine gun as the ice cubes bounced all over. Again required a breaker reset to stop the motor. I am livid... Another repair call and repair bill coming up. These are THREE YEARS OLD! Will NEVER purchase LG again.
I will never buy from LG again! This has been a horrible experience. This is the 2nd time our fridge went out. 1st time frost build up at the back of the fridge and it wouldnt stay cold. We lost $250 in food. This time it completely went out and lost $500 in food plus 2 days off work without pay to have a repairman, who was sent by LG not do anything at all. The repairman told us the compressor and other components had to be replaced. He told us this isnt guaranteed because its known that LG has compressor issues. Its just a bandaid for the inevitable. Today he was supposed to be here at 8:00 am. No call, no show and no explanation! And... 2 weeks now without a fridge. Completely disappointed. This was not a cheap fridge. Dont buy this product! The LG stainless steel is very sensitive and scratches easily. It is very noisy and frost constantly builds in the freezer. Ice comes flying out every time you open the freezer. And water accumulates in back of veg drawers.
We have had an LG refrigerator for 6.5 years (Model LFC25765ST). It stopped cooling one day. When I called LG Canadas Customer Service Center (in Manila, Philippines) the agents were all very pleasant and professional. However, the experience to get a qualified technician out to support or repair the problem was beyond belief! The management in charge of this division, or divisions responsible to coordinate, and execute on field service and repair are irresponsible and doing incredible damage to the LG brand. Because LG insists on doing the services themselves, the experience is HORRIBLE! They have authorized a very small number of local companies/technicians to do warranty work as well, but the list is really short, and should include a much larger list of qualified service techs. I have 3 LG appliances currently. When I bought them, they were all serviceable by the company/dealer I bought them from. LG changed that a few years back, and really screwed up the potential to have appliances repaired by qualified companies with a positive experience. The details of all the pitfalls of my experiences over a 6 day period and my 9 different calls to the customer service group are too numerous to list here. JUST AVOID using LG techs to perform service if you already have an LG appliance, and AVOID BUYING any LG appliances no matter what!!!
These are the doors to our LG French door refrigerator. Before the refrigerator was 1 year old the black finish started peeling off the stainless steel exterior. According to LG this is purely a cosmetic issue and they refused to cover any of this with the warranty. I just wanted people to know black stainless steel appliances especially those from LG might be something you might not want to consider ever purchasing. We are very sorry we did. There are over 2,000 complaints already listed on the internet against LG refrigerators.
Here is what I did about my problem. I went to Home Depot and bought what is called a Mini-Rester - $10.83 - one each for hot and cold. This is a device that attaches between your water lines and the washer. It has a tube with air in it. When the water shuts off abruptly the air in the tube takes the shock and drastically reduces the water hammer. If you have high water pressure as I do you will need these. You may have to adjust the water down some through the knob on the wall for both hot and cold but eventually you can find a happy medium.
My LG bottom freezer refrigerator was 4 months old when it started to emit a chemical odor that permeated the foods and made them inedible. It smelled similar to the smell that it had when it was new that the manual said would disappear a few days after running it and it did go away. I called LG, and they sent a repairman, who opened the door, said he could smell nothing and that was it. Over 2 months, I called LG and I got the run-around until finally they said they will do nothing. I replaced the fresh air filter at 6 months to see if that would help, and it knocked the odor back for a few days, but then the odor just came back. Now, I have a brand new refrigerator sitting in my kitchen that is totally useless. Do not buy this refrigerator.
Went to Lowes where I bought my LG refrigerator to buy a replacement filter and they said everybody was out of the water filter I needed. Sick of this, they told me the same story last year. They ended up giving me one of their filters from a demo on their floor after I insisted they do so. Im telling everybody NOT to buy LG cause of this problem. Model No. LFX31925ST/06 is the LG Refrigerator I have. This really sucks. If I had know this fact about LG not being able to replace filters for their refrigerator in a timely manner I would have never bought one. Like I said, Im spreading the news that LG cant replace your water filters.
I have been reading many of the disturbing complaints in this forum regarding the LG washer recall and can only add to the frustration expressed here. My parents purchased one of the models that has been recalled (WT5101HV Serial No. 007KWYP02018), about 18 months ago. The machine was acting up, and they just got the letter about 2 months ago. We called LG and scheduled to have a technician come out, and they did the software patch download. This was a joke! It did not fix the problem, instead it only perpetuated it. Now, instead of the wash load spinning rapidly out of balance.... it spins much more slowly and still out of balance! In addition, the wash and rinse cycles still do not work properly. The machine starts the normal wash cycle, and never drains any of the soapy water! Instead, it keeps adding more and more water (just like before). It only drains all of the dirty soapy water (very slowly) at the end of the Full wash/rinse/and softener cycle. And it never properly spins the wet clothes to remove excess dirty water. This process takes 3 times as long as before, and the clothes never come out totally clean. A simple load can take all day to complete! They are ready to Dump the unit in the ocean! Does anyone know if there is any kind of class action or formal legal group that is trying to get LG to make customers whole?
We got French Door refrigerator in 2010. Thanks got, we got extension warranty. Our ice maker was broken in a 1 year. They fix it after 8 weeks. Then this plastic ice maker start to smell terrible. Called LG customer service to ask what to do, how to get out of this sweat smell. They told that they do NOT care about smells. BTW, manager talk to me very bad. Now I do not use ice from LG. I buy ice from a store.
Compramos un microondas LG en Home Depot hace menos de dos años, modelo LMV1683SW,SB,ST. Dejó de funcionar. Todo funcionaba, pero no cocinaba nada. Llamé al servicio de atención al cliente y me dijeron que se encargarían del problema por 165 dólares, sin ninguna otra opción. De ninguna manera. Llamé a Home Depot y me dijeron que tal vez hicieran algo por nosotros mañana. Ya veremos. Ya no hay nada de LG.
I purchased an LG refrigerator from Home Depot. Most expensive refrigerator they had on the floor was $2800. I have had nothing but trouble with it. It has leaked 4-5 times ruining my floor and now it is not cooling or freezing. No one here in Cheyenne will even work on LGs. The repair business report has difficulty obtaining parts as they have had customers waiting for over a month to get parts so they will not service them. I am left with either cutting my losses or having someone come from over 60 miles away try to come and service. Be aware. Do not purchase LG because of their poor availability of service and parts and poor quality.
Compré la lavadora LG modelo WT-1501CW en 2016. La placa de lavado empezó a saltar. Llamé a LG y me remitieron a una empresa de reparaciones autorizada por LG. La empresa de reparación vino y CONFIRMÓ que el rodamiento del agitador estaba soldado al eje de transmisión y que no había forma de repararlo. La empresa de reparación de electrodomésticos y yo nos hemos puesto en contacto con LG varias veces. Nos han dado largas. Se trata claramente de un defecto de fábrica. Llevo tres semanas sin que LG me ayude a rectificar su máquina defectuosa.
Purchased this top load LG washer 4 years ago. Problems with the performance: Takes too long to do a small or medium load. Washer does not balance the load. Sheets and other large items cover the smaller clothes and they never get clean. Machine Quality. Washer LID BROKE APART for no reason. Will not close at all now which means I cannot use the machine. I contacted LG and complained gave me a case #. Never called me back. When I contacted them they said that the warranty was only for a year. Had to order a new LID for $200 which I have not received yet. Not sure if the expense for the LID was a good idea. The problem will most likely happen again. $700 for this machine was a WASTE of hard earned money. WILL NEVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCT AGAIN.
We brought an LG french door refrigerator model LMX28987 ST on September 9 2009. Jan 2010 the right side bin of the fridge door started to crack so we had to call customer service to get a replacement. A few months after that the top freezer door would not close shut, with ice forming around the edges. We called customer service to help us with this situation but all they told us was that they could not help us because our warranty expired. We asked to buy one right away but they said they count not extend it because it has already been over a year... so ridiculous. Now we have to pay for the damages of this fridge with the money in our own pockets when the company could not even build a fridge that can last us more than 2 years. Horrible customer service. I wouldnt even buy a single product from them again. Cheap materials that break so easily. Life is not good with LG products in the house.
Me gusta el microondas pero me gustaría que el panel de control estuviera iluminado. Facilitaría las cosas. El microondas funciona muy bien y es fiable y estoy contento con él, aparte del panel de control. Si alguna vez tengo que comprar otro me plantearía volver a comprar esta marca.
Mi primera unidad vino con un defecto de fabricación en el que la unidad de la carcasa dentro de la carcasa de la nevera. La espuma de poliestireno se desprendía y no se mantenía en su sitio. LG y Lowes me recomendaron que lo cambiara por un producto nuevo. Aparte de ese defecto de fabricación, la unidad funcionaba bien; era silenciosa y eficiente. Ahora, después de una semana la segunda unidad de reemplazo fue entregada. Oh, Dios, LG tiene algunos problemas importantes que necesitan arreglar. En primer lugar, la unidad viene sin un estante en el lado del congelador. Esto fue remediado por ellos diciendo que enviarían uno a nosotros. En segundo lugar, este frigorífico es mucho más ruidoso que la primera unidad que recibimos. Hace un zumbido constante, que es silencioso y no nos habría parecido gran cosa, pero teníamos experiencias con nuestra primera unidad defectuosa para compararla. Sin embargo, aquí está el problema. De vez en cuando, el frigorífico empieza a traquetear. No es demasiado desagradable, pero cuando abrimos el frigorífico, los estantes hacen un ruido de vibración que se amplifica. Volví a ponerme en contacto con el servicio de asistencia de LG para preguntar cómo solucionarlo porque no estábamos seguros de si era un problema de nivelación o algo más. El agente con el que me conecté sólo me dice que lo desenchufe y lo vuelva a enchufar, y añade que si no se resuelve necesitaríamos servicio técnico para un frigorífico que acabamos de recibir. Para colmo, el número de serie coincide con un frigorífico fabricado en abril de 2020. ¿Qué tan terrible tiene que ser su procedimiento de control de calidad para que esto suceda? Soy 0,2 en recibir un producto nuevo y perfecto. Me decanté por LG porque la gente decía que mejoraban (en parte por mi sesgo coreano), pero hombre aléjate. Actualmente estoy debatiendo si debo pedir a Lowes que reemplace la unidad o si debo ir con un refrigerador completamente diferente. Es terrible. Simplemente terrible.
