It has been hauled away today and been replaced by an ALL AMERICAN-MADE MAYTAG top loader. The downside of this is that LG screwed us out of $800. (I could have had my laundry sent out for that amount.) But the upside is that, hopefully, LG will continue to put out junk and screw itself out of the market with the rest of the junk producers. It is refreshing to know that the MAYTAG IS ONCE AGAIN COMPLETELY MADE IN AMERICA, BY AMERICANS - WITH COPPER WIRING AND NO ALUMINUM JUNK . Go for it, LG. Although the refrigerator was under a one year warranty, the compressor had a ten year warranty which is one of the reasons I decided to purchase it so I had a glimmer of hope that this repair would be covered by LG. NOT EVEN CLOSE. After very frustrating discussions with customer service I was told that I would have to have an authorized service center diagnose the problem at a cost of approximately $175 and upon their verification, they would send a compressor directly to my home free of charge but I would have to pay for the repair. My total cost was around $800. When all was said and done. HERE IS THE REAL KICKER. Fast forward just short of another 3 years to now and the compressor failed for the second time. Obviously there is a problem with this part that the company is unwilling to address. When I called to see if the company would make some type of accommodation, I was treated very unprofessionally and they would not offer the slightest relief. NEVER AGAIN. POOR QUALITY COUPLED WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A VERY BAD COMBINATION.

The company was ordered to replace computers and we would receive checks every year at approximately $14 based on the extra energy usage, but the check received was only $7.The unit runs very hot and the technician had no answer as to why. Under the bottom freezer drawer, we constantly have water that leaks because something in the unit is not evaporating water. We get thick layers of ice under the drawer which causes the drawer to not open and close properly. The technician doesnt know what is causing the evaporator not to work properly. The vegetable and cold cut drawers freeze foods all the time, and now we dont put anything in those drawers. The technician still has no answer for us. Home Depot gave us a tool to use but the handles on the doors and the freezer drawers kept falling off. I just spoke with LG and they said that we should get a new ice maker. He told me to get a new service company from a warranty company. We paid over $2000 for this piece of junk. I would never buy another LG product again.

Lucky for us we purchased a warranty via Lowes. Lowes sent a service person out and he would sit on hold for 20-30 minutes to talk with an LG tech. Service replaced the whole inside back panel with the air control doors and thermostats along with the control board. This repair caused the refrigerator to not get cold at all. Tech came back out and was told by LG support it was the wrong control board that the LG tech told him to order. Another week later the new control board comes in and its freezing food again (temp between 28-30 degrees). We been unable to use the refrigerator for over two months. Tried to do a review on the LG website and they denied it. I guess that is how they get such good reviews by rejecting the negative ones. I cant believe that I spent over $2,000 dollars on a refrigerator that I cant use for food. At this point the Technician and I are both very frustrated with LG and still trying to resolve the issue. How can a consumer get a bad appliance replaced?

Los problemas que tenemos son con la secadora. El tambor se rompió por la costura un año después de comprarla y fue reemplazado sin cargo, porque también habíamos comprado la garantía extendida. No le dimos mucha importancia, ya que era algo poco frecuente. Menos de un mes después de que expirara la garantía extendida, la unidad empezó a tener problemas importantes con esto. Cuando se presionaba el botón de Inicio, Pausa, la unidad no comenzaba el ciclo de secado. En su lugar, zumbaba con fuerza y se notaba que algo se calentaba internamente. Me puse en contacto con el departamento de atención al cliente, preguntando si cubrirían la reparación debido al historial de la unidad. Se negaron rotundamente. Ahora este problema ocurre con frecuencia y la única manera de poner en marcha la secadora es abrir la puerta, pulsar el botón de Inicio, Pausa y el botón justo dentro de la puerta al mismo tiempo mientras se gira manualmente el tambor para darle un empujón. Una vez que el tambor está girando, tenemos que cerrar rápidamente la puerta con la esperanza de que nada quede atrapado en el proceso. Si lo hace, hay que volver a intentarlo. De vez en cuando empieza a funcionar, pero luego vacila. Si volvemos a pulsar el botón de Inicio, Pausa, puede ir o no. Hemos podido lidiar con esto durante los últimos 2-3 años. Trajimos a otro técnico para ver si podía arreglarlo, pero no pudo descifrar cuál era el problema y finalmente se rindió (después de darnos su factura, por supuesto). They gave me the phone number of an authorized repair center and an €APN€ number, but when I called I was told they are not currently taking repairs for LG because they have a 3 WEEK backlog.I called LG back and they gave me the only 3 other authorized repair centers in the state of Colorado. Two don€t actually work on refrigerators and the third offered to come out in a week. Took the appointment but called LG back and was told I could call try to find someone to fix it sooner, but they would only cover labor through their providers. When I told them I can€t afford refrigerator repair on a product I bought in good faith that has failed in under two years, I was told €that€s not on LG.€I kept the appointment, sat home all day yesterday (9/25/18) waiting for my 1-3PM repair window, expecting a working fridge by dinner time. At 3:30 the provider arrived, looked at the fridge, said €yep, your compressor is shot. It€ll take 3 days to get the part, then we€ll get you on the schedule for repair. Just understand we€re very busy and seeing a ton of these, so we€re trying to get at least one repaired daily.€ So I have no idea how long it€s going to take. My family of 7 is living out of a dorm sized (Whirlpool) fridge. I€m going to the store up to 3 times a day to get food I can make immediately and a half gallon of milk at a time for my 5 kids. We bought an entire kitchen suite of LG appliances at the same time and are now terrified they€re all going to fail and it won€t be €on LG.€ As I€m sharing with friends, at least 3 have had the same issue, one within the month and her fridge was newer than mine.

Now its been 6 weeks that we have not had a working refrigerator and have lost all of our food once and half of it after the first repair which made the refrigerator worse. So it has been 6 (six) weeks and still LG has done nothing to fix it. I have since found out over the internet that LG sold this piece of junk, even though they knew full well that they were selling a bad fridge. Yes there have been many people that have had problems and most never can get this model to work and just lose their money. If anyone knows about a class action lawsuit or would want to be involved in one to recover your money, please do let me know by posting on here. Its a shame that a big company like LG is so evil to put their money ahead of their integrity. I will never ever buy an appliance made by them again. My wife and I are going to have to take a $2,400.00 hit on the evil decision of LG to sell this pile of junk, even though they were aware of the problems. Después de estar en espera durante 20 minutos, un chico se puso al teléfono y me dijo que si hubiera llamado tan pronto como me di cuenta de las manchas que podrían haber reemplazado sobre la base de un defecto, pero ya que esperé que no había nada que pudieran hacer al respecto. Me dijo que podría ser una reacción química, pero le dije que sólo había utilizado lo que me habían recomendado. Les pregunté si podían reemplazar la pieza delantera y me dijo que no, que como había esperado no podían hacer nada al respecto. Sí, esperé a que el MW dejara de funcionar antes de llamar porque la gama funcionaba bien. Sé que si el servicio técnico quisiera ayudar y reemplazar una pieza, podrían haberlo hecho, pero me castigaron por esperar, no es como si estuviera pidiendo una cocina nueva. Ya me han preguntado algunas personas qué hizo LG para ocuparse de la cocina y ahora puedo hacerles saber a ellos y a todo el mundo que decidieron no hacer nada porque yo estaba ocupada y no llamé de inmediato. No volveré a comprar LG.

Pidió un frigorífico de sustitución y lo recibimos unos 10 días después. Dos años después de recibir el segundo frigorífico, ¡éste empezó a funcionar mal! Optamos por contratar la garantía del hogar, pero aún así tuvimos que pagar unos 600 dólares de nuestro bolsillo. Ahora, otros dos años después... ¡¡¡aquí vamos otra vez!!! El mismo frigorífico, el mismo problema. Pero, debido a la pandemia, tratamos de reducir nuestros gastos, y recientemente cancelamos la garantía del hogar. Así que, de nuevo al teléfono con SEARS tratando de ver si había algo que se podía hacer (como si tal vez había un retiro de este modelo). LFX25991ST/05 LG French door counter depth refrigerator - I actually love/hate this refrigerator. It has worked well. I love the ice and water dispenser, however, it appears to be caving in. There is a long crack at the top running into the inside of the dispenser. When the water dispenser is pressed it moves the entire wall inside the dispenser. The frame of the entire dispenser is actually crumbling piece by piece. We have no recollection of ever dropping anything or anything falling on the door dispenser. We have no warranty left on it as it is now almost 3 years old. So we are faced with the repair. Frankly neither of would have the strength to push so hard the plastic would crack. I own an LG stove, microwave, washer and dryer. I am not unhappy with any of these - performance wise.

Ours died a mere 4 years (!!!) after purchase - its electronic controller died in the middle of a wash cycle and left the brain dead machine with its door locked, with no manual way to unlock it, holding hostage a full load of wet laundry which has been rotting there for ten days, exuding a horrible smell! And, to add insult to injury, here is what happened when we ordered the part from LG (via Sears Parts Direct, order number **) and paid extra for expedited 2-day shipment: after 4 days we were informed that LG has not shipped yet, no reason given (the part should directly from their warehouse to home) and there is no guarantee when it will arrive. This is LG engineering! This is LG customer service!

Then the compressor had went out after less than 4 years. The authorized service shop for northern Utah is Mark-A-Newt. They will not work on a LG fridge anymore. They said that in the last year they have only been paid once for the work they have done for LG, and they dont know of anyone who will work on them. They advised us not to buy another one. It gets unbalanced on the spin cycle for no apparent reason. I only was like weight and size clothes together. I rearrange the clothes when it gets unbalanced and then restart. It starts filling with water again and stops unbalanced again. I try the Spin Only cycle. Same thing. I was the same loads every week and it is completely random as to which load will have this problem. Last week, it was the delicates € how can they cause an unbalance???!!! I am left with an entire load of sopping wet clothes that I have to drain over the top of the washer, hang out on the patio until the dripping stops and then dry in the dryer for over an hour. I called my BrandsMart extended warranty repair team out and they said that is how the washer was designed and charged me $60.

Main example: set washer to cotton/ normal. Choose hot wash. What I end up with is an 84-degree water in the tub when the hot water heater at 120 degrees is only 2 feet away. I know for certain that it is engineered to pull cold water in with the hot as it fills the tub. Set on hot wash, you cannot even defeat the machine by turning off the cold water. It stops and wont run until you turn it back on. The main factor, I come to find out, in a washing machine€s total energy used includes the energy it takes to heat the water it uses. If the hot cycle uses less hot water from the tank, and the warm cycle is not warm, the overall energy consumption is low. It gets a great Energy Star rating. But then what the consumer end up with for their 620 dollars in this case is a washing machine that is designed to be a bad washing machine.But I think you see the point that the consumer has the right to expect that when they want to wash hot, they get hot, want warm, and get warm and so on. And the washer without a doubt under-performs because of it. It also wont get clothes clean unless you choose water plus. The manual states: Use this option for superior results.€ But, of course, we know when being tested for Energy Star, they are not using water plus. Clearly, LG is marketing an Energy Star rating, not a washing machine. They have with purpose designed a machine to be marketable and deceived the buyer into believing the machine works as effectively as other machines with worse Energy Star numbers.I have been to the wall with LG over this. After five service calls and an LG service man and an independent one, they say they hear the same complaint all the time. When asking the service technician and at every level of customer service, including what they call executive services, why it pulls cold water into the hot cycle, their answer is that it€s designed that way and that€s just the way it is. A description read to me by Valerie in executive services about how the hot cycle works was a blatant, probable lie. I€m going to try and get it in writing or get it to read it to me again and record it. She, of course, could do nothing but deflect questions about why water ends up at 84 degrees in the tub with 120 degrees in the hot water tank.When I told her I was absolutely not satisfied with her answers and ask to talk to someone else, I was told in 2 different calls on the matter that she was the final authority and that was the end of what LG would have to say about it. I would think that proving a machine was designed around the Energy Star rating for marketing purposes without regard for the resulting machine actually qualifying as a washing machine would make a good class action. And this low energy consumption design is across the board on the LG machine.Narrow it down to machines of similar tub size as my WM2140C and you can clearly see the absurdly low yearly energy use numbers. Washing machines are not rocket science. There is no magic in their motors or circuits to have the actual machine use dramatically less energy than its competitors. The savings is coming completely from it using less hot water and that of course is not something in any sales literature or the manual. I have the right to expect something marketed as a washing machine to allow me to wash whites and other things I decide that need hot water in actual hot water. By the way, the warm cycle is 58 degrees. In whose world is 84 degrees hot and 58 degrees warm?The machine is 10 months old and still under warranty until mid-May. I perceived the hot water difference early on, but didn€t initially complain about it because I gave the benefit of the doubt as to whether it would function at those temperatures, which I now see clearly that it does not. Then, it took months of service calls to solve other problems with the machine. Pressure sensor problems would continually shut the machine down mid cycle. Turning the machine off and back on cleared the code, but you€d have to start the cycle over again and hope it worked. It became a real problem to go to the basement expecting the machine to be done only to find it shut down. They replaced the same pressure sensor 3 times and it still had the problem. Finally, they replaced it again along with the whole wiring loom and the main electronic board before it worked. Then, I was back to the temp issue. I had no reason to think that manufacturers could play these kinds of games with the Energy Star rating. I bought the machine based largely on the perception that LG was a reputable manufacturer because I was very happy with an LG HD TV I bought 4 years before.

The motors are specifically labeled on the machines as being guaranteed for 10 years. We went out and bought a Samsung washing machine and dryer the same day as the breakdown, expecting the LG dryer at 7 years was not reliable either. Oh yes. There are only the two of us - retired man and wife - living in the house so the machines are not used that much. If we were a family with small kids, the washing machine doubtless would have broken down much sooner. I wonder if the executives running the LG operation are reading these consumer posts? They should. Word gets around.

We were told it was ice forming in the back wall of the freezer and it was interfering with the fan blades. The tech told us the only cure was to unplug the refrigerator and let the ice melt. We did this and over the next several years were required to do it a number of times more. The tech told us it was a design flaw and LG would void the warranty if we called it in too often, that is if LG even responded. The ice drawer has no back to it and ice continually falls behind it and onto the bottom of the freezer under the freezer drawer. So that whenever you open the drawer, ice is pulled out onto the floor. Just tonight, my son noticed that there was a burning smell in the fridge and that several food containers were warm. Turns out the lights in the refrigerator are not turning off when the door is closed, so I had to unscrew the bulbs to prevent a fire or food spoilage. At this point I dont even think I will call LG as their service and warranty performance is either awful or nonexistent. Needless to say I will never buy another LG product and will vociferously deter anyone I know from purchasing one. As an aside, I received an LG Blu-ray player as a gift a while back and the first time it was hooked up, it didnt work either. It had to be returned for an exchange and while the second one worked it too has regular problems and has to be unplugged to be rebooted in order to function. I guess LG stands for Lousy Goods or Lotsa Grief.

The next service call was 09/01/11. This time, the refrigerator was too warm, going up to 50 degrees. Thank God we still had our old fridge in the basement we could transfer our food to. The technician told us the cause was freezing up in the tube that transferred cold air from the freezer to the fridge. He thawed everything out, and it worked okay till recently. I called for repair again for the same problem. Thanks to our old Kenmore in the basement which kicks the LGs **. Thank heaven we purchased an extended warranty. When I called this last time, I complained to the person I was talking to, saying I think we deserve a new fridge, her reply was we can extend our warranty. Give me a break. Reading these other complaints, I dont think a new LG would solve our problems. We would just get a new set of headaches. Needless to say, I will never purchase an LG product again, and would never recommend them to anyone!

Se volvió a cambiar el encendedor. (Esta vez no estaba dentro del período de garantía). Han pasado un par de meses desde que se sustituyó el encendedor por segunda vez y vuelve a hacerlo. No volveré a comprar otro electrodoméstico LG. Cuando se tiene un horno se espera que se pueda utilizar. Agradezco que al vecino no le importe que use su horno para cocinar mis comidas.

They said that it was the best refrigerator on the market for the price. It kept things cold, had lots of space, vegetable crispers. It also had a freezer up top that was very roomy. We loved it!! It also lasted a long time when the power went off. An egg container would have been nice to have, also the ice maker would break very frequently or not create ice for long periods of time. The ice maker was my biggest complaint. But I really enjoyed it overall though all!!

Overall I was very satisfied with all of this for the most part and since our old fridge was very small it made life a bit easier. I would improve a tad more space though, and more shelving available for use or drawers. I feel I would have liked it even more if there had been more space or Storage available for the items needing to be in the fridge since we do buy large amounts of groceries at a time. We have a bigger family so we have to get large amounts when we go grocery shopping and our old fridge would just never cut it per se.

When I first called LG about the problem, They only recommended repair facilities near me to call at my expense. They did not offer to fix the problem. When I talked to the service repairman to set up a visit, he recommended calling a different number to see if LG would take care of it since this was a common problem with many lawsuits about it before. Before I did that, here is what we did. After we figured out that the lights would not go out when the door was closed, creating the high heat inside. (55 degrees). We unplugged the fridge as one could not unscrew the light bulbs because they were extremely hot. When cool, we re-plugged in the fridge and verified that the lights would not go out when the door was closed. In just those few minutes, the bulbs were almost too hot to unscrew. We unscrewed them just enough so they would not come on. We were screwing them in and out for a couple of weeks in order to see inside, and unscrewing them before closing the door. This was a big pain in the neck. I checked several times before calling LG, that they stayed on after closing the door. With the light bulbs unscrewed, we also verified that the beep still went off when the door was left open for a while. With the light bulbs unscrewed, the fridge was now working great for the cold. Probably better than before. I put a thermostat inside to monitor the temperature and it stayed right where I had it set at on the door. I dont know why, but after a couple of weeks unscrewing and screwing the bulbs in and out, I finally decided to remove them and install new light bulbs to see if they would work. I installed the fluorescent ones, the ones with the curlicue tube, 60-watt daylight ones. They worked great, and they went out when the door was closed. WOW, what luck. The fridge has been working well now for about a week, with much better light than the original bulbs, and they go out when the door is closed. They do not get hot at all. For the other issues in the previous post, I can shut the ice maker off manually when the ice bucket is full, and we do not use the water on the door due to the high cost of the filter anyway. We can live with those issues. At least we will not have to buy a new fridge due to the light bulbs not shutting off when the door is closed. Model LRFD22850ST

Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? The latest was that they put in for a request to replace and said that we would receive a call or email within 3 days, 10 days later after having to raise my voice they said that the claim was rejected 6 days ago but no technician has been scheduled to try again to repair the refrigerator.Being a builder I deal with all kinds of appliance issues and this is hands down the worst experience, they are literally trained to run you around. It almost appears that they just drag it along in hopes that people will just give up. Stay away from LG, I used to like their products but if they do not stand behind what they build. I will never purchase from them again and ask that everyone think twice before purchasing anything from LG.

Just a faulty machine, lucky us. They had me running circles to try to pay a claim. Finally I just paid out of pocket to fix downstairs ceiling, electrical etc. The washer continued to be a problem, rusting on the side near the top and we would see some water running down the side. Repairman said he sees this all the time. Water will spray out the seam near the top. NEXT, Dryer runs when door is shut continuously. Just spoke to a woman who lost her whole house to fire with same problem. Going to buy simple Maytag now.

I called LG directly and they referred me to people who said they would not even look at an LG refrigerator and wished me luck. After 7 phone calls they advised me to find a service person who would work on it and they would authorize them. I found someone and when they called to get the information LG would not give it to them. I called to get the information how to safely remove the ice and water dispenser to check the control board and they refused to give it to me. I then requested to speak to a supervisor and was told one would call me back the next day. A week has gone by and no call. I would say their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced and that is supported by talking to a half dozen repair people in Northern NM who refuse to work on any LG products because they are complicated and there is no support from LG. This is an expensive lesson. A $3000 refrigerator is on the way to the dump after 3 years.

After 6 months and endless phone calls he told me due to poor service from LG he is no longer fixing LG products. I took my rusted out rack to future shop and told them to exchange it with one out of their units... They would not do it. 2 weeks later I had a new rep with a new rack. Only took almost 1 year for a new rack. 4 years in I noticed water on the floor under my fridge. Found the factory water line on the back of the fridge was split. Called for service. They said 2 weeks before they could look at it. I gave the repairman the part # of the piece I needed. He told me LG makes him go there to physically diagnose the issue... Are you kidding me... The hose is split. I went to the hardware store bought a piece of water line and installed it myself. 6 buck fix. Now my dishwasher pump has packed it in warranty ended 3 months ago. Estimated repair 500 dollars. A new Maytag dishwasher is 700 so going to add to the landfill 1 great looking LG piece of crap.

The coating on the top of the machine at the bleach dispenser has disintegrated resulting in the metal rusting and flaking off. Occasionally, clothes are coming out with rust stain. I have contacted LG and have gotten no satisfaction from them. I was told the machine is out of warranty and that this is a cosmetic issue and there is nothing LG can do. Home Depots extended warranty also does not cover this problem. Apparently we purchased a washing machine that was not designed to operate and dispense bleach as one of its functions. This is an example of poor design and quality that a major company is not willing to recognize and offer the consumer assistance in correcting. We can get some comfort in the 10 year warranty on drive motor even though the machine wont last that long. Needless to say we will not purchase another LG product.

Cuando recibí los pomos nuevos, los comparé con los originales y me di cuenta de que eran exactamente iguales. No había ninguna diferencia. Seguí utilizando los pomos viejos (con mucho cuidado) hasta que terminé la renovación de mi cocina. Una vez terminada la nueva cocina, cambié los pomos por los nuevos. ¿Adivinan qué? Hoy mi mujer ha utilizado el horno para hornear y los nuevos pomos han empezado a pelarse y agrietarse. La encimera y los pomos se limpian todos los días después de cada uso. Ayer estaban bien. Sólo han pasado 45 días desde que los cambié. Son una auténtica porquería. Parece que el horno acumula demasiado calor y es entonces cuando ocurre. No sólo eso, sino que también hay un olor a quemado cuando esto ocurre. Bueno, afortunadamente compré planes de protección extendida para cada electrodoméstico LG que compré en Home Depot. Mañana temprano hablaré por teléfono con ellos para ver qué van a hacer. A estas alturas, después de leer todas las quejas sobre el problema de la perilla, nunca volveré a comprar otro electrodoméstico LG ni tampoco se lo recomendaré a nadie.

It took ~5 months of tech visits after it completely died but they never fixed it 100%. Despite the 10 year warranty, they just said sorry and offered me to either (1) deal with it or (2) take a check for half the price I paid for it 3 years earlier and void the remaining warranty. So overall were looking for a new fridge now. My advice is DO NOT buy this fridge unless you also are buying a 5+ year warranty through an independent company (big box store) who will back it up, because LG will not.

Small drawer can hold vegetables and popsicle ice cream bars but its a little small.

For the reviewer who said they took a day off to be home for a confirmed (via email) service appointment that was a no-show cancellation because LG never actually had a repair person confirmed - the exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago today... I even called that morning 3 hours into my 4 hour window to verify and was told someone was en route only to find out when I called 90 minutes later I was only then told that the appointment was canceled. I later spoke with the repair facility and they told me they had declined the job because they didnt have availability!Seems Im luckier than most that my LG fridge has gone 8 years without incident. 16 days ago my wife opened it in the morning and it was totally dead. No lights, no compressor, just no power. The outlet tested fine but the lack of lights pointed to it being electrical. I called the toll free number for LG on the inside of fridge and the person seemed helpful enough; Said it probably needed a new motherboard, but because it was out of warranty he would need my credit card details and for $361 we could get this fixed. Thats cheaper than a new fridge so I gave him what I needed and they were certainly very expedient in putting the charge on my credit card! I started to look around on the internet to see if any other reports of this issue and if the fridge could in fact be saved and learned that this whole issue likely stemmed from a small, blown 15 amp fuse... A part that LG soldered into the motherboard rather than put in a easily bracket for easy replacement that could be purchased for about 25 cents.After the no-show appointment, LG Customer Service said they would give the job to another repair facility. They put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and told me they had left them a voicemail and they gave me the phone number and told me that I was free to reach out to them too. I phoned, and left a voicemail around midday that Friday and never received a callback. Over the weekend I phoned and left another voicemail to give them my cell # as well as Id be back at work on Monday and that would be the best number to reach me. By midday on Monday I still had not gotten a call. I did call the number through from the email confirmation the previous week and got a speaking person who gave me the true story on the canceled appointment and told me they could see me on Wednesday afternoon. Confirmed it with them and asked them to contact LG and that I would do the same to let them know that their other company doesnt appear to exist and they need to reassign it to the original technician they schedule. I called LG and was on the phone on hold for most of the time for almost an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes I was disconnected and nobody called me back (all this time Im at work and doing LGs work for them!). I called LG back on my way home and the told me all was good to go.Repairman comes on Wednesday (approximately 1 week since no fridge/contacting LG) after I take a half day to be home and the diagnosis is a blown fuse. Great, but despite it being known from the onset that the motherboard needs to be replaced he doesnt have the part, but they do have 2 in their warehouse and will work with the warranty company on the formalities to try and replace by Friday. No appointment gets made, Repair Service says theyre waiting on LG to approve. I call LG and they tell me another Department cant make the appointment as the Repair Services schedule isnt available online. I call the Repair Service and they tell me nonsense, theyre getting scheduling confirmations from them right now. I call LG back, they tell me theyre now waiting on the Claims Department to approve the part, a process that can take up to 3 business days (this despite charging me almost $400 to replace the part over a week ago).Monday this week comes and I have no phone call, and no appointment. I call LG back and again more being put on hold but now the explanation is were waiting on the part to come in. They couldnt answer me when their Claims Dept approved this so we arrived to this step, nor why we couldnt have had the repair facility (a LG contracted provider!) use one of theirs. They have in stock but Im starting to feel this whole thing is shady. They told me refrigerator repairs are given priority status (a joke!) and that my simple repair was being given a priority to be remedied this week.I called LG back 2 days later (Wednesday, 2 weeks of no fridge and first contact with LG) having not heard back from them and was told that the system shows that I was told that I would be contacted by Friday at the latest if the part had not arrived. I lost my patience at that point and told them I was not told the part coming in would take a full week and that I was instead told that my repair would be a priority to be completed this week and how could we be waiting on a part we knew it needed from the onset, that is readily available to purchase online at a fraction of what Im being charged, and that their repair service was in possession of 2 of them. I told them that rather than trying to bilk a few extra dollars of profit on this 5 minute repair job by using the cheapest available board they can assign in their system they really need to make this a customer resolution case as its been 2 weeks and I need to speak with someone who can look at this absurd situation and make an actual decision to get it fixed. They tell me they will try to forward me to a supervisor to see if they can help. After 10+ minutes on hold the person I was speaking with comes back online and tells me the repair appointment has been made for between 8 AM and 12 PM tomorrow. I thought someone in charge realized and was acting in customer-retention mode until they told me it was not the repairman who had seen me a week ago that would be coming but the one who never returned my 2 voicemails. I asked to confirm for certain hes bringing the board and fully prepared for the appointment to make the repair and am told is the case.I take another half day from work, and the repairman shows up early and when I let him in my house I half-jokingly say to him, Please tell me you have the board and he looks at me with no clue and says he didnt bring anything, the work-order he got only said LG Refrigerator - not cooling. Hes almost as angry as I am that he wasnt told the fridge was totally dead of electric and that another technician had already been here and made the diagnosis. I felt bad for him as he came from a good distance away in the teeth of rush hour having been told to make my call a priority but a total waste of his time and mine. At this point I called LG and just lost it with them and essentially told them their Out of Warranty purchase had to be some kind of scam bordering on criminality as there is no way a real business enterprise could be this incompetent! I was told my account was being escalated to their real Resolution people (i.e. the ones tasked with explaining the inexcusable) and it would take 24 to 48 business hours for one of them to contact me and no doubt the buffer is in hopes that Im much calmer.I have a family of 4 thats been living out of a cooler on my kitchen floor the last 16 days and running out every other night for a new 16 LBS bag of ice. I had to invest in a chest freezer for my garage so that we had some kind of food for my kids on-hand. Ive burned 2 full days off from work and have easily spent more than 3 hours on the phone during business hours on hold with LG. And my fridge is still not fixed, and no appointment in sight for someone to come here and essentially unplug 5 little plugs and then plug the 5 little plugs into the new board. And they charged me almost $400 for this level of service when I could have gotten a new board for $120 and done this myself.I think LG right now on the service front is trying to milk the last nickel of profit on these out of warranty purchases on the assumption it will be the last nickel they see from these customers. Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy experiences like this will make a reality. Maybe the US market isnt working out for LG Appliance as it doesnt seem like their heart is in it for the long-haul.

We purchased LG appliances in October 2008 - a beautiful side-by-side fridge, a 5-burner gas range, microwave/hood, and dishwasher to the tune of almost $5,000. We have had nothing but problems with the dishwasher since day 1. LG replaced it once, then replaced the heating coils and then stopped responding to our requests for help. I loved my range. That is until the knobs started falling off and we would smell gas. The range was not even a year old. LG sent someone out to look at it, who told me the burners turned on okay and there was nothing they could do. I contacted LG, explained that the gas would turn on from just brushing by the range and we would not know it until we smelled gas. They agreed to send replacement knobs. I noted that, in the subsequent model, the stems and knobs had been redesigned. I assume because this was a universal problem.I continued to complain about the safety; however, once I explained that there was no safety issue if the knobs were replaced, LG agreed to continue to send me new knobs whenever needed. Since that time, I have called about once a year for a new set. I contacted them today and after over an hour of arguing, was disconnected after being told the stove is out of warranty and they will no longer replace the knobs. I explained that I paid $1,500 for this range and the complaint/concerns were raised during the warranty period. I actually had to take pictures of the online chat with my cell phone after I was disconnected.At this point, I am contemplating a class action suit primarily due to the safety concerns related to having the gas on without the burner. I refuse to pay $350 for a new set of knobs every year. As an aside, I have noted that LG has stopped making ranges.

It has two different store options, but it€s a big room. Also, I dont like the smart inverter technology that it has. It turns off a lot more than it€s supposed to, so the temperature goes up and the cycling of the temperature is probably more than it€s supposed to. The refrigerator goes warm inside and the cooling kind of cycles on and off to save energy. But then, it goes too warm before it cuts off to go back to cold.

It has a smart feature so I called LG and she ran me through the diagnostic, asked all the pertinent questions and since was out of warranty I could buy $275 package for fixing (parts/labor) the fridge with a 6-month warranty. She set up a repair appt for Tuesday, 5 days out. Very poor English, she was hard to understand.The guy came Tuesday and I knew I had a problem when he called the shop to ask what wires he needed to test. He was just the troubleshooter, could not fix the problem, a bad compressor. He had to go back to the shop and send LG the report, which he did, and we would hear from LG further instructions. Long story short 4 more days and no call from LG so we call them. We get major attitude. Very nasty woman tells us basically Youll just have to wait until can find a CERTIFIED tech. Day 11 we go to Lowes and buy a basic fridge for our garage. $400 thank you LG.Guy was great and looks up our original purchase of the broken fridge and says You bought an extended warranty. I know... dont laugh. So we canceled the LG contract (rate $100) and started working with Lowes. Much better service, English speaking CS people, $$ for lost food. Great, right? We get set up for a service call the next day. Ends up being a no call, no show. When we call them it ends up being the same business that LG sent out. We find out they cant fix a bad compressor. It must be a CERTIFIED tech. Closed system, dangerous gas, chance of fire. OMG.We live in Phoenix and there is just ONE certified tech in the whole metro area. They are 30 miles away and have a worse service record than LG. The customer reviews are horrible: poor work, no shows for service calls and rude employees. We are now on day 14 with a dead fridge in our kitchen. I always looked up reviews on performance of an appliance. Im now also now going to research repair and customer service. This is ridiculous that LG can hold a whole city hostage like this by not having more certified techs. I will add to this review as we progress, but Im not very optimistic. Im scared to death my other appliances, dishwasher, oven and microwave, never have a problem!

En enero de 2019, la bisagra de la puerta se había agarrotado, y notamos residuos jabonosos secos bajo el lado izquierdo de la máquina. Tuvimos que discutir con LG para reemplazar la bisagra bajo garantía, y trataron de cobrarme por desarmar la unidad. El técnico dijo que deberíamos tener más cuidado al cargar el jabón en la bandeja, y que el jabón que gotea cae en las bisagras y se come el metal. Parece un problema bastante grande para una lavadora en la que la bandeja dispensadora está justo encima de la bisagra de la puerta.En abril, el pestillo también había fallado, pero estaba fuera de garantía. Afortunadamente, había adquirido una garantía ampliada. También trataron de golpearme por 150 dólares para desarmar la unidad. ¡Ahora aquí estamos en junio de 2019, con una bisagra agarrotada de nuevo! La puerta no se abre ni se cierra completamente, y ahora la puerta gotea cuando se ejecuta un ciclo. Sin embargo, la unidad también está goteando desde el interior del aparato de jabón en algún lugar dentro de la máquina. Toda la pata, la placa frontal y el interior de la máquina se están oxidando debajo de la bandeja de jabón. La compañía de la garantía dice que es una condición preexistente y que no cubrirá los problemas relacionados con la corrosión y el óxido, ya que eso debería hacerlo el fabricante. LG dice que no es su problema y que sólo ofrece una garantía de 90 días para la sustitución de la primera bisagra, que ya ha expirado. Ahora estoy en el gancho para la reparación completa, que aún no se ha determinado (ya que tengo que pagar para que alguien venga incluso a decirme lo que está mal). Ni siquiera un año en él, y esta cosa es un pedazo de basura. You can babysit this thing for hours trying to get it through a spin cycle. Doesnt matter how you load it, small loads, big ones, mixed clothes, bulky bedding, on and on. I have tried every mode, trick, time, spin mode combination there is and still the dreaded UE code comes on. Occasionally it will make it through a load and when it does the heavens part and the angels sing and I feel like a winner. If you like to spend hours doing laundry and praying over a washer, this is the machine for you. LG needs to stick to cell phones.

Cambió todas las tarjetas de control y relés. Probó el horno y dijo que ahora funcionaba. Intenté utilizar el horno un par de días después y no se encendía. Lo reinicié. Esto ocurrió varias veces, así que no confié en utilizar el horno. Luego, el 4 de julio, cociné costillas en la parrilla y puse el horno en caliente para mantener las costillas calientes. El horno se descontroló, pero descubrí el horno humeante antes de que se arruinaran las costillas. Llamé a LG y discutieron conmigo durante una hora antes de acceder a enviar a un técnico para que revisara el problema. Querían solucionar el problema por teléfono... Ya sabes, lo normal... si está enchufado, si las rejillas del horno están bien colocadas, si lo has encendido bien, etc. El tipo de cosas que te hacen enfadar. LG ha retirado este modelo del mercado, pero dicen que mi problema no está relacionado con la retirada. Tendrán que cobrarme de nuevo por solucionar el problema. En fin, resumiendo... no compres electrodomésticos LG. Están mal diseñados y no tienen un buen servicio técnico. La tecnología está saliendo de nuevo, pero dudo que se solucione correctamente. Creo que voy a tirar mi gama de 5 años de edad, $ 1,500 a la basura y comprar una marca diferente.

Finally LG got back to me and told me whatever the problem is, they will have it fixed for a flat rate of $229. I paid them $229, hoping that the problem will be solved now. Few days later an LG worker came to check the fridge, only to tell me that the fridge cannot be fixed. I would have to buy another $4000 fridge from LG. It was hard for me to believe this fridge cannot be fixed, so I called somebody else to have the fridge checked, which is when I found out that the compressor has stopped working and just needs to be replaced.LG was trying to CHEAT me and make me buy another fridge from them. They wouldnt even return the $229 flat rate that I paid them to have the fridge fixed. After arguing with them for weeks, they finally agreed that they will have the compressor replaced at the FLAT RATE of $229 but the part is NOT available for the time being. If such a BIG company like LG fails to find its own part, why I must suffer...? Weeks passed and they could not even find their own part. Bottom line is, LG COMPANY TRIES TO CHEAT YOU. The fridge could easily be fixed by replacing the compressor (which was still under warranty), but LG wanted to CHEAT me into just buying another $4000 fridge from them. They gave me a very hard to time; for months I kept arguing with them. Never buying an LG product ever again!

Everything made of knitted fabric (read: all T-shirts and all short-sleeve shirts) after one single washing cycle is stretched to the point that it is no longer usable, precisely - became 2 times wider and 2 times shorter. Also, I have 2 regular shirts ruined - the machine tears off buttons with pieces of fabric, and just tears apart fine fabric. I want to underline again - it happened on the lowest soil and spin setting. So, basically, if you are interested in Delicate cycle - it does not exist. All other cycles have no value, since you will get your clothes ruined anyway.The only thing the machine could be usable - washing jeans and soldier uniforms. Towels and linens are okay too, but forget about washing your clothes, any knitted and fine fabric.2) Because it is high energy efficiency machine, you cannot choose water temperature. Well, nominally you can, but in practice it tries to use cold water. In most of the settings except the last one, you will get cold water in the washing tank. The highest possible setting, hot/warm still uses cold water from the tap, and the machine does not have a water heater. So, to get hot water only you have to dance around it, and turn cold water tap off, then on.3) Water efficiency feature does not exist - it has a couple of settings like half tank and full tank. So, if you want to wash a couple of jeans or 4 shirts, you will get a half tank of water, and the tank is huge.Overall - taking into account the price, the efficiency, and the amount of good clothes I have spoiled by the machine - this is the worst purchase in my life.

Llamamos a LG para que lo repararan con la garantía de 3 años. Después de muchos retrasos, encontraron una empresa de reparación en nuestra zona para venir a hacer la reparación. Dijeron que era el compresor, pidieron uno nuevo y lo sustituyeron. El frigorífico sigue sin funcionar. Llevamos más de dos meses sin frigorífico (para un hogar de cuatro personas). He llamado a LG casi todos los días, durante las últimas 6 semanas. Me han ascendido al equipo de respuesta del Servicio Ejecutivo. Es una broma. Recibo una respuesta diferente cada vez que llamo. Después de un mes tratando de encontrar una persona autorizada para reparar el frigorífico, LG finalmente accedió a presentar una reclamación para una resolución alternativa, es decir, la sustitución del frigorífico. La reclamación se ha presentado ya al menos 4 veces; todavía no se ha decidido si respetarán o no nuestra garantía. Cada vez que llamo (casi todos los días) me dan otra excusa de por qué no hay decisión. Esta ha sido la peor experiencia de consumo de mi vida.

Nuestra nevera LG aquí en Florida, ha necesitado 2 compresores y la máquina de hielo no funciona. El compresor que reemplazaron dejó de funcionar 5 años después. No quieren reemplazar la parte que repararon y ahora tengo que pagar de mi bolsillo y perder en los comestibles para la semana. El frigorífico se compró en 2010. En 2015 se cambió el compresor. En 2,23,20 el mismo compresor reemplazado se rompió. Llamé y la primera persona dijo que el compresor estaba cubierto y todo lo que tendría que hacer es pagar al técnico. Llamé al técnico. No tenían ningún técnico de LG. Estaban contratando. Volví a llamar para obtener una lista actualizada. No me enviaron ninguna por correo electrónico. Volví a llamar para hablar con una gerente y me dijo que no tenía cobertura para nada y que básicamente lamentaba que tuviera que pagar todo por mi cuenta. Me he quedado sin nevera y sin alimentos que tengo que tirar. También dijo que el primer servicio de atención al cliente no hizo ninguna nota de estar cubierto para el compresor.

It has everything I was looking for in a refrigerator and the price was within my budget. The color matches my other appliances and its easy to clean. I like the water filter that comes with it because makes so convenient and easy for my entire family to drink clean and purified water. I only wished it was more affordable. Everything else about it makes me happy and Im so glad I selected this specific model and brand. I have no regrets. This brand has met my expectations and I would recommend it to all of my friends and family members.

Nuestro lavavajillas necesitó un motor nuevo cuando tenía 3 años y nos costó 300 dólares en piezas y mano de obra. El frigorífico da poca presión de agua, poco hielo porque la tapa que debería cerrarse automáticamente no lo hace. La cocina dejó de funcionar la semana pasada después de utilizar el modo de autolimpieza. Cambiamos la placa de control por 150 $ y el técnico vino hoy porque lo único que hizo la nueva placa fue hacer que el reloj volviera a funcionar. Ahora necesitamos una placa de potencia por 170 $ en piezas y mano de obra.Estos electrodomésticos no son y nunca han sido maltratados. No hay excusa para todas estas reparaciones. LG es basura. Nunca, nunca más consideraremos nada fabricado por esta empresa.

Hello to all. YET ANOTHER customer affected by this garbage LG is allowed to sell in the USA. I purchased in 2011 so Im out of warranty but the parts are still covered. Well it took 5 weeks to get a part sent. LG authorized tech came in with a $1,000 bill and a little Google search proves they are bad parts. Leaking freon leaking water that generated a sheet of ice under freezer trays amongst a kitchen floor destroyed by 1 product. Terrible quality products.

We had bought LG refrigerator. It looks good brand and quality but beware its very bad and it stop working. This is all the LG product I bought, very upset and I will not recommend this product at all. Dishwasher LG not working, had insurance came, they came five times still does not work at all. They DID something and no steam working, does not clean. Well its a mess.LG stove - o my god the knobs are plastic and bad quality. They send twice, still melts and poor quality and when you turn the knob it breaks because its plastic not metal. Now the knobs dont work, it goes all around and dont do what it suppose to do, I can go on and on. Bad quality. Beware dont buy this. I will not even recommend it to my worst enemy.Beware LG are not good products. My sister have Maytag and her products are still working and she bought for less money. We bought this product waste a lot of money. All piece of cant say the word but Im very upset. So people please dont buy this product. Come to my house and you will see what I mean how they look and how bad they are. Now I need save up and buy all but this time it will not be a LG products for sure. Please LG clean up your mess and do something to those like me trusted your product and ended up with piece of junk not working.

NUNCA compren electrodomésticos LG. Después de ir de un lado a otro con ellos durante 4 meses acerca de nuestro frigorífico, todavía no han enviado a nadie para arreglarlo o reemplazarlo. El técnico más cercano vivía en Bolton, MS. Vino un día y estuvo aquí 5 minutos y sólo comprobó la temperatura del frigorífico y se fue. Supuestamente tuvo que pedir una placa de control que no ha llegado después de 2 meses. Luego me dijeron que enviara por correo electrónico una copia del recibo de cuando se compró para que el representante pudiera enviarlo a alguien con mayor autoridad para decidir si nos reembolsarían o no. Hace 2 semanas que se lo enviaron al representante y todavía no me han contestado. HORRIBLE SERVICIO DE ATENCIÓN AL CLIENTE y nadie que atienda sus HORRIBLES productos. Doug finalmente dijo que al diablo y fue y compró un Samsung hoy.
