Paid almost $3000 for a refrigerator only to have it fail in less than 2 years. Save yourself time, money and frustration. Just because it is expensive does not make it a product that is well built. You would be better off buying a $700 fridge. At least if it breaks, your ROI is better. Tried going through customer service, and I am still waiting for a callback.

We had four continuing issues with the LG fridge cooling problems. When I purchased my LG refrigerator 3 years ago, the salesman promised me that this refrigerator will last 15 years. In addition, I purchased the 3-years warranty on top of the 2-years warranty that LG provided, so the cooling warranty should be covered by LG for 5 years. Each time I phone the customer service, they werent really helpful, all they do was transferring me to an extension number. Also, the customer service was very rude and unprofessional, I try to ask for a solution for my fridge problem and each time they hung up on me. Finally, I would not purchase any LG products ever again. LG you lost my trust.

I have a 5-year-old top load LG Inverter direct drive washing machine. It struggles with 9 out of 10 loads. I get constant errors or it will refill tub with water, drain and attempt the spin cycle again. I have made sure I load it properly with no luck. Going back to the old top load WITH agitator as soon as possible.

We purchased our fridge on May 2015. Costed us about $2300. Since then we’ve had to have it repaired 6 times! I guess that pretty much sums up our experience with LG refrigerators. Fortunately, we had the extended warranty with Home Depot which saved us a bunch out of pocket expenses. My family is surely staying away from LG’s fridges.

I purchased it (Model # WM2487H*M) 4 1/2 years ago. Mold, mildew, black gunk abound. Rim harbors dirty water, grime, and bacteria. This is definitely not what I expected from this over-hyped machine. Advertising wizards had me fooled. If there is a class action suit, recall or refund offered, count me in. I’m not looking for big bucks. I just want a reliable, sanitary clean washer.

We bought the LG Steam Washer and the Steam Dryer, with pedestals in December of 2008 from Best Buy for more than $2,600. Were a retired couple, doing a maximum of 3 loads (not large) a week. 5 years later, the washer makes a horrendous noise on the spin cycle @ medium speed or higher. Some of the dryer cycles dont run as long as theyre supposed to (and the clothes are still damp). I called LG and they gave me the name of a certified LG repairman in our area, who told us that we needed a new rod and bearings for a total of more than $600. He said we were lucky it lasted this long!!! I called LG back to seek some other recourse, and a customer service person who could barely speak English said there was nothing they could do for me. I sure wish Id read the comments on this website BEFORE purchasing an LG. I will never buy another LG product.

We purchased LG french door refrigerator LFXS29626W from Home Depot on 11/17/15 for over $2000. We loved the refrigerator until 9/14/18 when we discovered the refrigerator was not cooling, the ice maker not working, the freezer not working, and food in the freezer thawed. My husband spent many hours on the phone, only to find nobody willing to service LG refrigerators. Upon reviewing the horror stories experienced by very, very many other owners of LG refrigerators, we decided to simply cut our losses and purchased a new Kitchen Aid refrigerator from a local family owned store. Our over $2000, less than 3 year old LG refrigerator will be going to the recycler. It is most disappointing to see LG show such lack respect for their customers who have spent their hard earned money on this product. It seems apparent from all the reviews that LG has known for sometime that their product was defective, but where is their effort for correction. We will not ever purchase another LG product again and have advised everyone we know of our experience.

My refrigerator hasn’t worked for almost 3 weeks. When I call them they say they are still looking for someone to fix. They act like they could care less. Very frustrating and disappointing. I have a friend that brought me an old Kenmore he had in his garage and it’s still going strong. After 2 years of me having purchased my LG the ice maker quit. Now 2 years later it quit cooling altogether.

Love the sensors that are inside to control the cooking of the unit, great for popcorn and re-heating. This microwave has the ability of re-heating a cup of coffee without giving it that burnt taste. We especially like the increased capacity of the inside of the oven itself, and like the way it fits under the cabinet over the stove and is vented to the outside.

Front Loading LG Washer - I have noticed the white laundry coming out with gray blotches on it. This is with the use of bleach and the monthly cleaning regimen suggested by LG upon purchase at Home Depot. Yesterday, I opened the door and found little glass beads in with the laundry. I dont have a clue where they came from and after submitting an inquiry to LG, I was informed that I needed to send a photo of the beads in an email so they could determine what they are. Im not sure what to do.

My 6-month old microwave, under warranty, stopped working. Attempts to get a locally authorized repair company were unsuccessful. One company didnt come into Maryland, another wouldnt have a technician for two months and the third one only did TVs. Numerous requests for assistance and difficulty understanding people with accents, finally led me to the supervisor who said he would authorize payment of the repair. He did but it took too long for help with people who simply were unable to help. I will never buy another LG product again because of the poor customer service.

Over $900 in labor costs, took over a week to get the replacement part (we are in Seattle). Customer service at LG did not care about any of this, at all. I am terribly disappointed with this machine. First of all my clothes are dull and whites are GRAY. I have followed both the companys recommendations and the store where I purchased the machine’s advice. And they are still dull/gray. My other problem is that I have to constantly readjust the clothes... this last load took 12 times pulling the wet clothes out and rearranging them. This washing machine wont even do a tub clean without the uneven light code coming on. I have called LG numerous times and can barely understand the person that I am speaking to. The repair person has come out twice and once replaced the whole motor, but this has not solved the uneven/balance problem. Im terribly upset with the performance of this expensive machine and I dont know what to do about it. My advice is to not even think about purchasing this LG top loading washing machine.

I bought a two drawer LG refrigerator last July and two days ago the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge stopped cooling. I called LG and they said that the earliest a technician could come out to look at it was in 4 days. I kept my cool and told the lady that this is not my problem and that she needed to let me know when the technician would be at my house. We talked for an hour, she kept telling me that the repair persons dont work on the weekend and I explained to her that this is not acceptable and to please call me back to let me know when someone would be at my house to fix the fridge which by the way is under warranty. She hasnt called back. I had to throw out the contents of the freezer and the fridge except for the ketchup.Apparently they have a process to refund damage or soiled goods but I have yet to receive the email from them to fill it out and send it in. I suggested that she call Lowes and have them send me a new fridge as I know they keep inventory in their stores. She seemed confused when I said this and I asked her where she was located. She said in the Philippines. I kept conversing with her and asked her what she would do if it was her family that didnt have a fridge to cool food products. She didnt seem to have an answer. All in all LG stands for Lifes good, well Lifes not so good in my house. I doubt I will buy an LG product ever ever again.

LG front load washer is four years old. I got an LE message then the machine wouldnt run, so I called for service. Stainless Steel drum has lifetime warranty. The motor has 7-year warranty. The service technician was on the phone with LG for about an hour, apparently trying to understand the Pakistani man. The end result was $700 to repair the drum and motor and replace the plastic drum around the inner drum, which of course has no warranty, and about 5 hours labor to tear it all apart. It doesnt matter what model. It is a $1,000 washer that should not need $700 in repairs in four years. This is the very last LG product that is ever purchased at my house. If I could have given it zero stars, I would have.

In October 2014 we purchased a very nice Stainless LG Dishwasher - Model: LDF7774ST. The first week we had it the motor went out. LG replaced the dishwasher. Back in January of 2015, the so called quiet Dishwasher started making a lot of noises and had to have the dishwasher serviced. Now, the LG dishwasher will not drain. Why is zero stars not an option I wonder? Do not trust in an LG refrigerato
Why is zero stars not an option I wonder? Do not trust in an LG refrigerator! I bought all new kitchen appliances five years ago (all LG) and the most expensive was the french door refrigerator. It is supposed to have a state of the art linear compressor. Well, please research and you will see many people in the same position as myself. After two years, the refrigerator compressor failed. It was like pulling teeth to have LG get a technician out to my home even though it is under warranty. Low and behold, after numerous calls I was able to get a technician to my home to say I need a new compressor. Parts needed to be ordered - another delay which took about three weeks. Finally a technician returned once all parts came in, just to say there is also an internal leak in the fridge and it needs replacement! I have now been without a fridge for about 5 weeks and LG still hasnt helped with a resolution. I have an alternate resolution case assigned and that can take about 10 more days for them to determine what action LG will take if anything. Absolutely awful customer service no matter who you get on the phone and they just dont care saying its their policy and they do not take action. Buy any other brand!!!

I felt really good about LG Refrigerators until mine had an issue. It really was not an issue at all, but the company that they sent to check it out made it into a big issue. I had called and said, My freezer was frosted over. Did I just not got it shut good or is there something wrong? There was also a shelf that had a crack. They would need to come out and fix that. And they said theyd take a look at it when they come out. So, the guy came out and fixed the other things, and then he said there were two fans for the freezer and one of them was only working part of the time. He also said he was gonna have to order another fan. And he scheduled to be back out the following Sunday to replace that. The following Sunday came around, and he didnt show up. I was here all day. I was calling them and they said he was gonna be here, but he never showed up. So, we set it again for the following Sunday. Again, the second Sunday in a row, my only day-off of the week, and I was sitting at the house at the couch, and again, he did not show up. And then, that got me. At one point, during the day, they lied and said they just talked to him and that he was gonna be calling me. I didnt get a call. And when I called them back, they said they were still trying to get a hold of him. So, then, I was trying to get LG to send somebody else, but they go right back to the same outfit. The third Sunday in a row, a different guy showed up and he took one look and said there is only one fan on this refrigerator freezer, and its working fine. He said, “You probably didnt have the door shut good, the reason it frosted over. So, I was really angry. And then, during this whole time, LG was sending me things, trying to get me to take another extended warranty on this. And Im like, Youre not even taking care of me on your original warranty. Im not about to spend more money for an additional warranty when I got treated so crappy in the first place.” Another thing is the first time, when the guy did come and he said that was what it needed, it was not long after that that also, it quit making ice. And I told him that when I was waiting for all those times for somebody to come back out, and its not making ice now. When the other guy did come out, he looked. The first guy had turned the ice maker off and never turned it back on.I like the refrigerator. I like that for the size because that size is the only size in my condo that I can get a refrigerator. And its working fine now, but at the same time, Ive been so upset about how I got treated, and I should have never been treated that way. I wish LG would do something to make up for it like give me another year of extended warranty and dont charge me for it. I didnt get my moneys worth.

It took almost a month to finally get LG to respond. First call they needed proof of purchase sent to them (strange, since they already knew my model and date of purchase while on the phone!!). They said once received, a manager would review to determine if they would extend the warranty, which would allow for the top to be replaced. No call back. Called again a week later--same story, but never a call back. Called again a week later, and demanded to get this resolved. After waiting for 40 minutes on hold, it was denied. I said that was not acceptable as this is common complaint about this washer, etc. I demanded to talk to a supervisor. After about another 20-25 minutes, a supervisor approved the warranty extension, and scheduled a service call to replace the top. A new top is being shipped in time for the service call. Hopefully the replacement top has been redesigned around the bleach cup!!To those of you who said they denied your claim, do not give up! Demand to talk to a higher up person! I also told them I would be going to Home Depot to complain and every time I was there I would drop a picture of the rusted washer into every LG washer on display!

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 2013, 4 1/2 years later the compressor goes out. With the 10 year warranty still on it, I contacted LG. Dealing with their customer service department was a nightmare. To begin with, they had no service technicians in my area, then they give me three authorized service companies to call, all were either wrong numbers or they dont work on LG appliances anymore. LG had service technicians but had none a available. So whats the purpose of a warranty if you cant honor it?As Im searching the internet to read complaints on LG, I came across a site indicating a class action lawsuit against LG for their faulty linear compressors posted last month, so I searched more and learned there was a previous lawsuit. LG is aware of their faulty compressors yet they have no desire to help consumers get repairs. What am I suppose to do other than join in on this new class action lawsuit, which could take years. I had to toss out over $300 worth of food, purchase a mini fridge and deal with ice chests. And still without a fridge. I cant afford to purchase another frig right now. I will NEVER purchase another LG anything, phone, TV, refrigerator, washer dryer nothing with a LG logo. Their warranty is a joke as well as their customer service.

My LG Fridge Model # LFX28977ST caught on fire. We purchased it 8+ years ago and stopped using the ice maker and water dispenser 3 years ago. It stopped working 3 times and we had it repaired twice but by the third time we turned the ice maker off and shut off the water valve. 3 nights ago it make a noise and my kitchen filled with smoke. We opened the door and found the ice maker black and melted from the fire. All my food was contaminated. I was on the phone with LG to find out it’s not under warranty, no recall is on this model and was offer a technician to come and see if it’s repairable if I pay $125 upfront. I said, No thanks. They opened a ticket with their safety department and said someone will contact me in 24 to 48 hours. It’s been 2 days. No one called. I expect appliances to break down and stop working but not to catch fire and blow up. My stove is right next to the fridge, we are lucky the fire was contained. This fridge needs to be pulled off market.

I just purchased new LG appliances about 4 months ago. All are ok except the dishwasher. There are two main issues I continue to have. The bottom rack continues to come off track and it appears the design of the dishwasher does not have a large enough track to keep the wheels on track. I continue to have issues with the dishes not getting clean. If we do not pre-rinse the dishes completely, they will come out dirty with the residue dried on. I generally use the normal cycle, which takes 2 1/2 hours.I called customer service and was told that the normal cycle is designed to reach a temperature of 96 degrees and have a moderate spray intensity. The agent further explained that this is not a sufficient wash cycle to clean dishes unless they are completely pre-washed! She recommended using Power Scrub, a cycle that takes close to 3 hours, or adding in addition rinse cycles to The normal cycle. I am so disappointed that I spent over $700 on a dishwasher that is not designed to wash dishes! Please DO NOT make the same mistake.

I called customer service for my LG True Balance Direct Drive Washer which I purchased in 2012, so its 5 years old. It has been going off balance and slow to fill with the dribble of water coming from the internal outlet in the washer. It would take all day to do one small load of wash because of this. The phone service is outsourced to India. When I finally got someone who could understand the problem, they said it would cost $350 for one of their service people to come out. COME ON! When I said that was ridiculous, they said they knew it was a bit pricey. REALLY?The smart diagnosis app would not download. When I went on YouTube to see if I could figure things out, I saw the little blue rinse cap emit water on the cycle, WHAT A SURPRISE, mine never did work, I didnt even know it was supposed to shoot water into the washer. I called an independent appliance repairman who came out for $49, which would go toward parts and labor if I needed it. He took one look at my 5-year-old LG WASHER and said, These are nothing but problems, I have left homes with people crying over the problems with these washers. Dump it and get a G.E.washer. LG used to be GoldStar which was the worst brand out there, they just remarketed themselves. I wanted to cry. I spent A LOT of money on this set and for a repairman to not even open the back panel- speaks volumes. He opened the lid, spun the barrel, and looked at me and said, You have more than one problem here, its going to cost at least $400 to repair, are you sure you want to do that with a machine 5 years old? I did extensive research on these products before I purchased with Consumer Guide and Reviews. I thought I did a good job with choosing wisely. Repair guy said: They all work good when they are new.

Model LMWS27626S, Production Date was Feb 2021. Bought on March 21, 2021 from Home Depot and was delivered almost a week later. 3 Days ago, noticed water began to accumulate down in the freezer section... Simply put, the fridge stopped working. Just today the technician dispatched by LG showed up and after performing his diagnostics, he told me that both the Main Board and The Compressor are bad and theyll need to be replaced. Imagine a 3 Month Old Appliance from the date of production going bad and to think weve only had this in our home for 4 weeks. This experience just gives me no confidence in the LG Brand at all, yes they are nice on the surface but trash in the inside. Now well be out of a fridge for the next week until the parts arrive. At this point I dont even want to keep this appliance in my home because I know it will break again. Luckily I bought an extended warranty but even so, no amount of warranty will bring the confidence back towards this brand.

This washing machine started leaking in the first few months. LG has sent out a service technician 5 times over the past year. The machine continues to leak. Our wait times are 30 minutes at least to get through to customer service. Today we were told they would not replace the machine until a technician deems it unrepairable. What a disappointment!! A few years back my husband and I purchased new LG appliances for the kitchen and also a washer and dryer - all LG products. Paid a PREMIUM price - all the bells and whistles. From day one there has been nothing but headaches with every item we purchased. From the interior finish in the oven flaking (LG and Home Depot would do NOTHING to help us. We had to purchase new range!!), to the microwave falling apart, the drying faulting out and now this horrible washing machine!! Between the mold this machine creates (yes, I leave everything open and wipe it down after each load), not always working correctly (gets confused...) now the drain motor needs to be replaced which has been estimated at $300 parts and labor!!! This is ridiculous!!! What a piece of junk and SHAME on LG and HOME DEPOT for not producing/selling reputable products and standing behind those products!! As you all know, these items are not cheap!

It has a freezer and the ice cubes comes out. Most of all my favorite part of my refrigerator is the fact that it has a tablet built into the door is amazing. It was totally worth buying. I didnt like the fact it was so small, after I would go to bjs my food wouldnt fit in the freezer. I had to buy a deep freezer to put in my kitchen. I like the colors it came in. I got it in a aluminum color. It was also black available. I prefer LG over anything. All my tvs, acs, phones I purchased from LG. They have good products. My home security system is from there my fan. They have a good customer service. If Im having a problem they wont end the call till my problem is solved.

During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kit
During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kitchen after having extension plumbing work done to our home. As part of that, we wanted new appliance and bought the LG refrigerator because it was the size we need to fill the space. A couple of years after we purchased it, it stopped cooling. I called LG and a customer service person told me to unplug it for at least six hours and plug it back in. I did and that seemed to fix the problem. It also had some type of water leak with the ice maker that would allow a large sheet of ice to build up to the point in the bottom the door would no longer close. I was able to remove it without much difficulty, but this happened continuously until the water line to the unit froze and burst and I turned off the line completely. In August of 2015, our refrigerator quit cooling and we contacted the company to see if it was still under warranty and we were told the compressor and sealed system was covered for seven years. This is a parts only warranty. They gave me the name of four repair companies and I contacted the one closest to me. The first tech looked at it and said they would have to send someone else out. I paid him for the call $75 and he left. The next tech came a few days later and quoted me a price of $275 to replace the compressor and the evaporator, but told me LG refrigerators had a history of leaking in the tubing in the walls and if that was in fact the problem, it could not be fixed. He told me to contact LG and begin the process of getting the parts. This began a two month struggle of phone calls back and forth between myself, LG and the repairman. No matter who I called, they said I needed to talk to the other one. The repairman eventually stopped taking my calls and after weeks of trying to get help, an LG customer service representative told me he informed the company he would no longer work on their products, a lie on someones part because he fixed my boss refrigerator a few weeks after that. They told me to contact another person on the list, so I went to the next closest person to my town, who refused to touch it because someone else had already looked at it. It was October 27 before LG was able to get A&E to get a repairman out. They told me I would not have to pay for the call because of the inconvenience it had created. He replaced the dryer in the back and the next day, I was once again able to put food back into it.Around December 14, my wife noticed the refrigerator was again not cooling. I contacted LG and they contact A&E, who couldnt get anyone out until January 12. The repairman didnt show up on the 12th and when I called, they didnt have the appointment in the system. They rescheduled for the next week. When the repair technician arrived, he called his supervisor to say it looked like the wrong type of dryer (dye dryers help them diagnose where leaks may be) had been put on the unit. They suggested he hook a freon tank to the unit and heat it with a welding torch and listen for the leak. He didnt hear anything and suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator. He was told not to do anything to the unit because they wanted another technician to come out and look at the unit to try and find the leak. (The company never noted any of this in their system and the tech says he doesnt remember the call.) He apologized to me and told me he felt the leak was in the walls of the refrigerator and couldnt be fixed. A few days later, two techs arrived at the house and my frustration level had reached a boiling point. He asked me what had happened with the previous visit, I told him and he called his supervisor. That was when we found out no notes were taken on the previous call. He then suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator and I took my frustration out on him.He was the tech who came in October and defended the fact he put in the right evaporator. He said if there was no visible sign of a leak during the last visit, then the leak was in the walls of the unit and could not be fixed. He advised me to call LG and felt they needed to honor their warranty, which I did. The customer service representative said they couldnt do anything until the tech filed his report. She never gave me any impression the problem might not fall under their warranty. I left the tech a message and he talked to a supervisor who said they would come out and replace the compressor and evaporator, but it would be the last visit made to my home on this issue. He told me to call LG and get the compressor and evaporator shipped to my home. I did and they promptly connected me to A&E to set up the service call. (I never received the replacement parts.)When the tech arrived a few days later, he called a supervisor and they told him to hook up the sealed system and check gauge readings. There was talk about a blockage in the lines. After several minutes, the tech disconnected the gauges, the call ended and he told me if the line was blocked it was in the walls of the unit and was not repairable. At this point, I contacted LG and was connected to the executive services office in Huntsville, Alabama. I spoke with a woman there who was pleasant at first, but then informed me the lines in the wall are not part of the sealed system. I told her there was no way to repair them because they were literally sealed in the wall. She then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not reading the warranty information on the unit completely. I have owned LG Cell phones and other electronic products and was always pleased with how they worked. As a home appliance company, they are terrible. I paid more than two-weeks pay to buy this refrigerator. My last refrigerator I paid $350 for and it lasted nearly 15 years. If LG is the only company to make refrigerators in the future, I will search antique stores and look for an old fashioned ice chest and become friends with the ice man before I put another one of their products in my home.

We have the LG model LDG4315BD. It has been installed less than a month and we have had several gas leaks that were found once the strong smell of gas filled the room. We have had at least 9 almost fires or burns of people. We have the set which included the microwave that mounts over it. We look ridiculous trying to use the microwave without accidentally touching the stove. The knobs turn easily without needing to be pushed in. A person just walking by and barely touching them sets the gas free. LG will only give us the exact same model stove, not a refund.

BAD WASHER. I had a Frigidaire washer that lasted 15 years without a problem. Then, I purchased the LG top load washing machine. It constantly goes UE (uneven). I have to monitor it, or it refills and waste gallons of water trying to fix the UE . It loses its mind and sets more time, usually 11 minutes, and then it would refill with water again and again. Clothes never spun out completely. I can say this is the worse machine I have ever owned. It goes out of balance so many times during the wash cycle that it takes hours to wash a load. It keeps filling with water trying to rebalance itself, and I ultimately end up stopping it with the clothes still wet because it will not spin them out. LG told me I have to have repair people out 3 times for same issue before they consider replacing it. Still waiting for an “out of stock part”… three weeks. This is unacceptable! I have already told people that I will never buy an LG product.

I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011
I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011. May 2012 was my first call for repair. I found the freezer totally defrosted all my food and the refrigerator was hot. I called LG and got a customer service rep that couldnt care less that I lost a lot of food in a brand new $2600 refrigerator and the best they could do was send a repairman out in a couple of days. The repairman came out and replaced parts and boards. The problem has to do with the fan, I was told. Now its August 2012 and I awoke to a freshly stocked refrigerator once again hot and all frozen food defrosted. Once again I called LG and got a customer service rep (if you want to call him that) that was rude and non-empathetic about the situation. He proceeded to tell me that he sent a work order to the repair people and I will need to call them in half an hour to confirm they received the work order for repair. They call that customer service. LG knows there is a big problem with these refrigerators. I cant believe after reading all these complaints that nothing has been done about LG. I will never buy another LG product nor will I recommend their products to anyone.

This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with. My fridge is 3 years old and the compressor had already failed. This is a common issue (that affects almost all units) that LG and technicians have accepted responsibly for. However what they fail to tell you is that after spending $2500+ on a new fridge, they will not offer assistance. Upon calling customer service, they even went as far as lying to me, by telling me that the product only had a 1 year warranty. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON A MORE RELIABLE Product that will last you more than the years.

I have a 2 year old LG washer with the impeller tech, low water use, etc. I dislike it intensely. The impeller action does not move clothes sufficiently, the water levels are not sufficient to get the dirt to float out and away, and it cannot do large sheets at all. When I do sheets I have to check constantly and push them under water level, no matter what setting I use. They never completely submerge. I usually have to add additional water to hack the weight so that it adds additional, even after the extra water button is pushed. I wish I had kept my old Maytag and repaired it.

I purchased my LG appliances (all 3 of them) from Home Depot in August 2010. Within the first 2 days of having my fridge, they had to replace the door twice for sensor issue. Now my dishwasher is having the same sensor error. I started the warranty claim on 01/23/2011. It is now 02/02/2012 with no resolution. I have had to handwash dishes for 3 weeks. I have called on 5 different occasions. On 01/23, LG stated that they needed a receipt. On 01/24, they stated did not receive all information to begin warranty work. (Please take into consideration that they have never called me once about missing information. All calls were initiated by my self). On 01/30, they stated that they did not have the serial number (which was given each time in the preceding phone calls). On 02/01, they stated that they cannot find anyone to service my area and that they needed 3-5 more days. My husband called and found servicer in less than 5 minutes. They are now stating that they cannot get paperwork in that quickly. This is unbelievable. Life is not good when you are handwashing dishes. I do not want these appliances and feel that there is nothing I can do about their terrible service.

It would work for a short time, called back, we had to push buttons to reset. This was extremely difficult as we both have arthritis. Finally on May 2015, they did extend warranty as it was on-going. A new ice maker installed. Lasted approx 3 mos. Called back, offered to send repair but at our expense. $3200 for a new refrigerator for our new home. Ridiculous!!! I have had this washer for about a year and it has annoyed me since I first used it. I started getting the ue error within the first week of use. I went back and read the owners manual to learn how to load this machine. I started being extremely careful in the way I load it and I would only receive the error occasionally (cant wash a mixed of heavy and light weight items-really? I dont know anyone who doesnt wash their hand towels with their bath towels), but now I receive it with every load I run. My husband washed three loads of laundry this past weekend and he also received the ue error. He said it is a piece of junk! I paid a lot of money for this machine and I am ready to throw it out the window! I am done purchasing LG products. On a side note. I am 54, not tall by any means, but I have always been able to reach the bottom of the tub in a washer. I literally have to stand on a stool to remove all of the clothes from this machine. Bad design.

I picked up 2 LG stainless steel above range microwaves that were both used
I picked up 2 LG stainless steel above range microwaves that were both used, very attractive looking models, 1 was purchased 1 week before the other from different places and they both have the exact same cracked door. The door cracks on the side by the handle just below the arm that locks in place exits the frame. This has to be happening to every single one made since I got 2 in 2 weeks. For all of those who picked out all brand new LG products for their choice of appliances I have to ask if they would have chosen them if the name was Gold Star? Remember that terrible low quality manufacturer from the 1990s that made complete junk? Well its the same company that changed their name around 2000 to LG! How about that! Did you know this? Of course you didnt or you never would have considered LG for anything especially to be your brand for all your major appliances. Sometimes you need to research companies before you buy them. New names like Samsung, LG, Daewoo, Funia, Symphony, Orion, Oritron, iHome, Emerson, Visio, Trutech, Durabrand, Insignia, etc... All have some background, while some of these brands may make 1 or 2 good items, Funia is 1 of the largest manufacturers of all products made in China (kinda like a Mitsubishi or Sony in their own right) that actually makes products for dozens of companies including Sony and a long list of their own sub-companies plus for their own brand name as well. You would be surprised to know just how many other brands they provide parts for. Yet most would pick a Samsung over Funai any day of the week, just to pay more for something thats probably not even better or maybe even inferior to a Funai brand item.Funai has been around forever like Matsushita, Nakamichi, Sony, Yamaha, Mitsubishi, Matsubara, Akia, Awai, Nippon, JVC, and other Asian companies who have all made good stuff at one time but their parent companies have changed as the names are sold to larger conglomerates who names are never shown on their products. Most recently Samsung bought out the Harmon Group which has been making top notch audio gear for generations. Infinity, JBL, Harmon Kardon, Crown and others will no longer be what they once were, this happened 2 years ago and if you havent noticed yet these companies are not winning any high praise from the groups that once held them as top in their field. This is why its important to know who really makes the stuff you buy. Samsung is a maker of junk, plain and simple. They bought Harmon to try and get their foot in the door on car audio electronics and have really no other interest in continuing making high end audio, they will try to phase them out and apply their own brand name audio which will follow along their same disposable electronics junk they have shown to make in the past. You will see nothing impressive coming from them, all flash and bells and whistles. More plastic molded stuff like theyre used to making and they will market it for those who will fall for it. Looks definitely arent everything when it come to electronics, but many will learn the hard way. As most who bought LG did!

LG has always had a good reputation and everyone I know who has an LG product loves it (including me). Now, after 2 years, the compressor died. Even after a thorough cleaning and professional servicing, the freezer wont even freeze and, according to the repairman, the pressure will never build up high enough to do so. What does this mean to me? Almost $1000 to replace the compressor. One thing to note: the replacement part is an updated part number meaning the original one had issues. With COVID-19 cutting customer service hours, I can understand LG not answering their phone. But that doesnt help with me having to go out on my own to get a repairman and shell out so much money. Issue: The refrigerator (French door LFXS30766S) broke down on 7/4/2018, just couple days after two years warranty. Find out it’s “sealed system” issue and this is still covered by LG for five years. Called LG and reported the issue on 7/6/2018, they have created ticket and mentioned that they will find the technician and assign it. How many days since then? One month now. Technician is yet to come my home and look into issue. In between, I have called so many times to LG, each time their answer is standard, they are still trying to find the technician and escalating the ticket or creates new ticket, which is nothing but their excuse to tell customer to wait for 3-5 business days. I wonder why no technician wants to work with LG, whoever I talked to they either says they are two far away from my destination or they don’t work with LG. I have even asked LG if they can assign work order to “Sears home service” they are reliable and guarantee they will come, but LG says it is not possible for them to assign the work order to Sears. Why? No idea. After so many phone calls and many tickets where are we? Nowhere near the resolution. I wouldn’t recommend LG product anymore. Settlement that I am looking: LG assign reliable tech which I can count on or refund the money.

I waited another week then called back only to get a voice message telling me to contact the manufacturer. I contacted LG customer service and was told that their notes stated that the issue was resolved!!! I told them that the issue was never resolved and they told me that there was nothing they could do until the local tech updated his notes. I placed another request for an update on the LG customer service site and received a return email stating that they would contact the local repair rep and get back to me. Recently, our DLG6988s dryer (part of a combo) stopped heating. Everything seemed to be working, but no heat! We called the point of purchase (POP) company. We had purchased a 4-year extended warranty program with them. The company provided a work order for repair. The repair diagnosis, full replacement as there had been a fire because the lint was not leaving the dryer but instead, getting in around the drum and the harness was damaged. There was no lint in the tube, none in the lint catch area. It was around the drum instead. No repair could be done. According to the repairman, who has seen this before, this is apparently is a problem with LG gas dryers of this model, which they no longer make, and a report was sent to LG.LG informed us that since we had purchased an extended warranty, the POP company would look after us. We went back to the POP company and their extended warranty department told us that the dryer credit would be prorated and we would be given in-store credit to spend on a new dryer. We looked at dryers and to purchase a comparable dryer to the one we have now. The total cost, including extended warranty, is now another $706.00 over and above the credit we were given. We contacted LG regarding the dryer and the customer service rep told us they would not replace it since the LG warranty was up. The POP company will not replace it, but would give us the credit, take it or leave it.We did not cause the fire. We cleaned our machine diligently of lint. There was no lint anywhere other than in the drum area. They are removing the dryer tomorrow, however, I would like to prove to LG that this defect is their responsibility and the dryer, which is less than 5 years old, should be replaced. The downside would be it would be another LG product. We will never buy another LG product and I urge you to do the same. Because of the offshore parts problem with LG, any repairs that can be made can take more than 5 weeks and their customer service is unsatisfactory to put it mildly. Do your homework before purchasing anything from this company!

Bought a new white side by side LG refrigerator about 1 1/2 years ago from a local big box retailer. The plastic trim pieces around the electronic controls/water dispenser/ice dispenser have turned yellow. The refrigerator is bright white and the large bezel and drain plate is now a disgusting yellow. I first tried to resolve the matter with an online chat representative who was absolutely clueless. She couldnt even figure out what parts they were on her schematic. She finally gave up and had me complete an online upload form with pictures that I had to take. She said she would call me back after I uploaded the form. I uploaded the form with pictures and after two days no response. So I did another online chat with another agent. I gave her my case number and all she said is Sorry its out of warranty. She gave me the phone number of their parts distributor for the Eastern USA and the girl who answered the phone instantly put me on hold and never came back. This is ridiculous! The trim pieces are about $180.00. So, dont ever buy a white LG refrigerator and if you would like customer assistance on their product - Dont buy an LG Refrigerator.

I own an LG dryer (Model: DLG5988W) just over five years now. This past summer, I noticed a noise and the felt along the rim inside the drum was coming out. I notified the service company and they ridiculously removed the felt--had to scrape glue from the unit. This took about three hours--the service person was outside in heat applying the new glue and the new felt to the drum. Keep in the mind that the entire unit needs to be taken apart to do this. When he was finished, he said that they could have ordered an entirely new drum and not have to remove and reapply the felt--but they chose to do it this way.Three months later, I noticed some markings on my clothing, sheets, blankets, and white clothing. The felt is coming out again and the noise has returned. We have contacted the service company who says that our warranty was just up about two months ago. They originally charged us approximately $300+ and now, they say that the drum needs to be replaced and it would cost about $600+.We want it replaced and the original cost be deducted, since the problem was a temporary fix. Now, they wont even return our calls. So I continue to put aside all the ruined clothing, blankets, etc. I will never ever give LG my business. I also own the frontload washer, which, by the way, smells all the time. I remember growing up and the washer and dryer lasted 15+ years. LG sucks!

I purchased an LG Refrigerator 3 to 4 years ago with Model Number LFC21760ST and Serial Number **. Within 6 months time, the plastic shelves in the top refrigerator broke. The company replaced them with the same shelves after I called to complain. Within 6 more months or so, the same shelves broke again, then the long tray shelf cracked completely in two pieces. I did not call to complain as there was no point in asking for more junk replacement parts. This morning, when I opened the refrigerator, the light box had fallen and the contents of my refrigerator were hot from the two hanging light bulbs. I called the company service number above and was told this is a common problem and theyll come out to fix the light bulb box only, not all the broken flimsy plastic shelves. How can I warn consumers not to buy this product? It is just my husband and I who use this refrigerator, and it has not been abused. This was not an inexpensive product, yet it was constructed with junk materials. Please advise buyers to beware of this LG product line. Thank You,Jeanne

I researched ovens forever and finally settled on an LG. I was so excited.
I researched ovens forever and finally settled on an LG. I was so excited. I used it twice - once for a frozen dinner and once for a turkey. All the moisture and grease went straight into the area between the glass. I tried the self-clean (both kinds) and water from the self-clean went between the glass as well. There was obviously a seal issue. I called LG and they said no - its cosmetic (didnt seem to make a difference it happened from cooking once). I kept going from service rep to service rep and speaking to people until they sent out a service technician. I asked him can you please fix the seal issue? I told him I didnt care if he fixed it or replaced the door, either way that would have been fine. He said no I am going to order you a new door, it should take 6 weeks. I asked do I need to do anything? He said no. I called to check on the status of my new door and they said OH...LG declined to send it... Not one person from LG or the repair place called me to tell me that, not a word from anyone, the repair place passed the buck and said they were supposed to let you know.So I called, spent more time on the phone trying to explain they need to either fix the seal as every bit of moisture gets in there or replace the door. They didnt care. They said its just cosmetic, your oven still works. I asked them so what you are saying is that all your ovens have this issue, mine is not an exception, and you stand behind the fact that even a brand-new oven is going to look like hell? No answer. I asked about the implied warranty of merchantability and she checked with Legal and said no, they dont have to do anything because its considered cosmetic. She then went on to say it says in the manual not to put a lot of water directly on the oven... I proceeded to tell her I did not, I only followed the self-clean instructions to the letter and the repairman could see that there is a gap and all moisture is getting in. Did not matter and furthermore did not have ONE word, not even an apology for not contacting me to let me know that they had denied the request. No one at LG calls back and follows up and they just keep saying this is cosmetic and they dont care because people keep buying the product. When I brought it up to them that their customer service was not good and they needed to at least speak to their customers and let them know instead of just letting them wait - no response. It is also my opinion the repair companies they send are just as bad since they basically lied to me--that repairman looked me straight in the eye and said your new door should be here in about 6 weeks. I am warning anyone who is shopping for an oven - do not get an LG - unless you dont care if it looks like hell even the very first or second time you use it. Now I am going to have to research and find a repair person to see if I can have the problem fixed on my dime when this was 100% not my fault and LGs defective product. In summary, on top of the fact there is a seal issue within the glass, the customer service is the worst I have seen of any business I have dealt with. The fact that they say its cosmetic even though its a brand new oven shows that once they have sold the item, they do not care if that item looks bad through no fault of the customer. I can understand if the oven gets scratched or has some sort of cosmetic issue over time, but for this to be an issue right out of the box and for them not even to attempt to fix it (not necessarily replace but fix) is truly beyond the worst customer service there can be. I have never written a consumer report before but I am so mad and do not want anyone else to have this happen to them. I will never buy LG again (or for that matter, Samsung as they are all part of the same company) and recommend when purchasing an appliance of any sort - go with another brand do not buy LG unless you are willing to pay for problems even if they are not your fault.

On Sat. Oct 18, 2014, my brother went into the LG fridge to get something, when he called out to get my attention. I thought it was smoke from oven. All attempt to locate fire in the oven was lean. I opened the kitchen window to air out the smoke. A few minutes later, my son goes to the same fridge in search of something and calls out with a more assured voice, dad I think the smoke is coming from the refrigerator. Upon getting back to the fridge, I opened the fridge part. It was smoke filled. The light was out. Toward the bottom of the fridge, I discovered that the egg carton on top of the cold buckets was on fire. It was still burning. The 18 count egg carton was totally top obliterated, plus a hole ate to the bottom. Bad deal.We recorded the whole experience and took a few pictures. I called LG and spoke to a rep who seemed to be empathetic. LG decided they would have a technician contact me, but non was available for the next two weeks. The rep told us that she would call me the next day after getting to work, at about 08:30, with a possible contact. She didnt. When my wife called them, she got nothing but the run around. Two days later, I spoke with a rep who was not getting to the bottom of the issue. Then I requested to talk to a manager. The manager patched the issue over to the Executive team, who made the decision after seeing the videos and pictures, that the fire was no fault of theirs. LG never sent a technician to look at my LG refrigerator. LG said people call and complain for different reasons. Thats subject to anyones interpretation. The long and short of the story is that cold refrigerators should never burn inside. It should smother out fire, not attract it.

I recently purchased a LG Refrigerator side by side from Home Depot in Tucson AZ. After being installed by the delivery and installation company the installer advised me to leave the refrigerator alone for 24 hrs after which, it should be at operating temperatures. When I opened the left door, I noticed it would slam shut, and the water being dispensed from the refrigerator door was considerably warm. I contacted LG customer help and asked two simple questions about the door and water temperature and was advised by an individual that continually avoided the question I inquired about. After numerous attempts to resolve my issues I disconnected. Now I have to try and resolve my issues with Home Depot.

Our LG French door refrigerator stopped cooling as noticed on a Thursday evening. The next day, Friday, early in the morning, I tried to reach the LG call repair centre but I was put on hold. I waited holding the phone to my ear for about 10 minutes. Then I called Corbeil Appliances in Ottawa and I was told that I might have to wait on hold for at least a half hour. This is not acceptable. I did try calling the LG repair centre again throughout the morning but again I was put on hold. Then finally on that same Friday afternoon, someone answered at the LG call repair centre. I was then booked in for service the following Thursday which is about one week of waiting without a refrigerator to cool foods and medicines. This LG repair call centre and service is not acceptable. We have an extended warranty which fortunately was still in effect. The LG service technician was professional and repaired our LG refrigerator. He appreciated our frustration at trying to book an appointment to have our refrigerator repaired. In the future, I dont think I will consider buying another LG product as long as reviews re: booking a service repair, remain negative. I will also recommend to friends that they read the LG repair call centre reviews before they consider purchasing an LG product. Come on, LG product personnel, improve your LG repair call centre customer service!

On the 27th of this month, I complained to the call center about the drainage problem with the machine and a man came within 48 hours as promised. He did some adjustment and the machine started working. I took AMC on his advice, and the next day I loaded the machine and the problem was there again after half the cycle. Again I had to call the call center on the 29th after 24 hours - the same man came, did the same adjustment and assured me this time he checked it and it wont happen again. But on the next load, the problem was there again. On May 1 I called them again, they gave me the number of the service center but I could not get through. Again, the call center registered my complaint the third time. This time it was an urgent call. They said within 24 hours, someone senior will come but now its more than 30 hours and nobody came. The call center people gave me the no of the area manager and he promised me it will be done today. I am still hopeful, still waiting.

It started when I called a washing machine professional to repair the washing machine as it has stopped mid cycle. It will not drain or spin. It will fill up and then that is it. The tradesman came to the home and pulled a hair band from the filter and that was it. The washing machine is began to work fine. Now 7 months later, the problem is happening again. Filling, then sitting in a load of water. My husband has drained the washing machine manually and checked for any further blockages and this all appears to be clear. It will not drain so that I can take the load of washing out? I am so frustrated.

The LG refrigerator was energy efficient, stainless steel with side by side doors. I liked the refrigerator size. The ice maker features were nice. But the pullout freezer would get full fast. The filter needed to be changed too often. I wish the freezer was bigger. I had to buy another freezer because the freezer was so small. Not enough space. Sometimes the food in the freezer would defrost. And the freezer on the bottom wasnt very big and would filled too full. But I really just liked the way the refrigerator looks. It is a sleek looking piece of equipment. I did wish it had a few more luxury features. But, overall, it was the best bang for the buck. It had good reviews, had a good price and it was attractive. Id buy the refrigerator again.

We purchased a model WM3270CW Front Loader washer from Best Buy on 06/25/18
We purchased a model WM3270CW Front Loader washer from Best Buy on 06/25/18. This machine was only used very carefully in our home. After washing a small load of pillow cases and face cloths I removed them and dried them in the dryer. About two hours later, on 8/30/19, we were sitting in another room of our condo and heard a loud crash. I walked around trying to find the location of the noise. It had come from the washer. The glass on the door had imploded into the machine tub. The door was ajar for air circulation so some of the shards also were on the floor of the laundry room. About an hour later there was another loud sound. This time the outer edges of the part of the door that had landed into the tub exploded off. After various calls to LG and lots of conversations to try to get rid of me, I was told that they were referring this problem to their safety department. They kept promising return calls within 24 to 48 hours but they never came. I finally was given a case number and was connected to their Escalation Team Department. This last conversation resulted in a visit from a technician from A&E Factory services on Sept. 10. He informed us that there is no record at LG of a door ever imploding. He said that LG believes we hit the door or caused the problem ourselves. We did not hit the door. No one in our home hit the door and there is no way that we caused the problem. We did not cause the glass to implode! We are fortunate that there was no one in the room to be injured by the flying glass when the door imploded. I believe this machine needs to be recalled. There is a serious safety issue here that LG is not willing to recognize. Thank you for reading this. As you can see I am very upset. LG is really just trying to get rid of me and my complaint. They said this has never happened before. Now my online research has proved that this has happened to other people with LG machines. I am concerned about even using this model LG if it is ever repaired. We had a previous LG Front Loader for 8 years and had to replace it because of leaking and mold. I still have the dryer and bought this one so it would look almost the same as the dryer. We were told that the mold issue has been taken care of with the way to keep the door ajar. It is much newer and is obviously not as well built even though the other one had several bad issues such as mold and leaking. I would never buy another LG appliance. The company does not want to know that there is a fault with this current washer. Someone could have been seriously injured.

I purchased my LG oven range combo when I remodeled my kitchen in 2017. I chose this product because it had the convection as well as standard oven option and flat glass top burners. I need all the prep space I can find in a tiny floor plan - so the flat top was essential. I would say the burners all work equally well and the quick boil feature is something I use often. The warming center might be the only feature I really dont use. As for the oven, I have had convection in the past & was excited to have that option in this. This oven tends to run a little high in temperature in both the convection and the standard. 3 years later I am still tweaking my recipes and cook times to ensure the right balance of time and temperature. The features are great to have but the calibration seems a little off. Thats why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

I am very disappointed at the integrity of the knobs. They look and feel like good quality, but I am disappointed to find that inside the knob hole is plastic (not good quality). After just over a year (warranty expired, of course), two of the knobs cracked inside the holes and will no longer turn the burners on correctly. Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5-burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace, 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? I am so disappointed in the quality of these knobs and the expense to replace them that I may replace the whole range on principle and never purchase an LG product again, of any type. What happens when I put the new knobs on and they crack and break? Another $350.00 in todays dollars for knobs? I dont think so. I have checked around and there are no replacement knobs of better quality available. LG needs to get their act together. After almost one and a half year only, now all the 5 valves and burners are bad and thank God I bought the extended warranty which is covering that problem. The only reason I bought this stove was the look and then I assumed that since it is an expensive stove, it must be good. But beware everybody, do not buy this product! I will keep on saying that until they fix my stove either by replacing it for once and for all. But at least I found a nice rep who promised to send me 5 new knobs as they have upgraded those knobs with metal inserts. Lets see if theyll work or not!

I have done everything you are supposed to do plus more. I actually dry the whole tub and gasket after each wash and the smell is still horrible. I purchased LG wall oven 2018 LWS3063ST. After having two months I used self cleaning mode and it got so hot it burned up my oven. After three months of no oven and reordering of numerous parts replaced including, fuses, transformer and main motherboard and display panel the oven worked for light duty. I was advised to never you self cleaning mode again. We’re talking brand new oven, 1700.00 as this is typical for LG ovens. I was told the next time my oven would be replaced. Again I was told to never use the self cleaning mode. Fast forward to Jan 1st 2021. I go to turn on one and it won’t heat up. F19 error code. Main part is out again. Mind you, I have not used self cleaning mode since the last time and my LG warranty just went off and I’ve switched onto SquareTrade. They want to send parts again after I was guaranteed a replacement this time for this lemon oven. Apparently the service provider heaped all my visits into only two incidents and LG did not mark my account that oven would be replaced. You see they can’t tell me why the part keeps failing. LG just keeps sending parts for their warranty no matter what instead of replacing. I will not buy LG again. They should back their products. They just replace parts instead of unit until it’s past warranty and youre still stuck with a pile of crap but you’ve now exhausted your warranty and the same defective part that they haven’t fixed or self cleaning mode that burns oven up goes away and youre left with a lemon appliance that you now need to buy a new oven. My last oven was 20 years old. I used self cleaning all the time. Never had one problem or service call on it. LG is junk.

The good part about LG is that they do try to present a customer service initiative to folks who post on social media. Sadly, it is a hollow effort. As anyone can read on this site, the response is either a really poor AI or worse, a person who types the same thing. Buying a $2,000+ refrigerator that makes excessive noise is unarguably a significant issue. LG claims this noise is normal, and I dispute that. Compressor noise that can be heard in other rooms is not normal. While LG did send a technician out to assess this issue, that was inconclusive, and the best LG can offer is to send another one out. But if the noise - the worst Ive experienced with any refrigerator for decades - is considered normal, why bother. When buying an LG refrigerator, be sure to buy the retailers extended warranty that allows a return after 3 (or whatever) attempts to repair.

When we called to cancel the transaction due to poor customer service with LG and Sears via Consumer Reports Reviews, the salesman just said, Yes. I know. He was willing to make a poor sell for a few dollars more than to steer us in the direction of a better fridge and good experience that would resulted in us being repeat customers. We wish Montgomery Wards, where we purchased our last fridge, was still in business. ALSO, Standard TV and Appliance refused to meet or beat their competitors price even though they have a LARGE bill board right next to their entrance on Hall Blvd in Beaverton, Oregon. Well, I have never been more disappointed in an appliance before. This machine has not worked since day one, but more importantly has cost me an inordinate amount of money based on my water bills. It took me several months to figure out why I was paying hundreds extra on my water bill. Granted, I live in a neighborhood that is overcharged for water. This washer consistently has an error of an uneven load (UE), even when I have all similar clothing in the washing machine. It continues to refill and refill and refill for hours before stopping. In addition, it is not even warm or hot water, but always cold. In addition, when I try to use a lower spin on delicate clothing, it continues to spin ferociously. To make matters worse, it will absolutely not wash a handful of items and forces you to use a large load. So if you have a handful of delicates you absolutely will not ever, ever be able to wash them.It is absolutely the worst washing machine and has cost me literally thousands of dollars. I was once run off the road from behind by elderly man in a Porsche. My van was totaled and my children I rolled over several times. I refused to sue him, but I would sue LG in a heartbeat. I simply cannot understand why there is not a class action suit. They are preying on consumers, and they are winning! So sad... but buyer beware. We will, unfortunately be filling our landfills with these machines. What a complete and had her waste.

Like Nate of Duarte, CA wrote on March 26, 2014 -- by end of 2006 purchased LG LFC25760ST. Had the same issue with the light fixture housing in the refrigerator compartment header, not once but twice. My photos look exactly like his. Last service they replaced the entire electronic board and installed a new light fixture housing also recommending use of lower watt (40 watt) bulbs. This occurred Aug. 2012. At the time I stated I was concerned about possible impact whatever lies above the refrigerator header (refrigerant tubes?). It appeared the plastic header was melted completely through in at least 3 locations. Now I have refrigerant smell in the refrigerator. Service call is tomorrow, so well see what happens but suspect cost to address what I believe are issues with the refrigerant system may be so exorbitant that it may be more prudent to replace after a bit over 8 years than to repair. I dont understand how this fire hazard can be so prevalent for so many years and nothing appears to have been done. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly participate, as this refrigerator is in my opinion, a fire hazard at the very least.

We were limited by the space we had available to put the refrigerator in height as well as depth and width. Issue of getting in the doors of the house also. We had to take handles off refrigerator and freezer doors to get the unit in the house. Dont really like that we now have a water filter on the ice and water line that needs to be replaced ever 6 months. The excess ice needs to be taken off the door and dumped into the ice bin in the freezer. Freezer is on the bottom and when drawer is pulled out it limits movement into the kitchen area from family room. The housing for the water filter is not all that substantial could have been designed a little better. Still, we like the led lighting the ice and water dispensers and individual compartments for fruits and vegetables. The door display reminds you of how long the doors are open.

I bought an LG over the stove exhaust hood microwave in September 2009. Less than a year later, the door cracked along the frame. This hood was covered under warranty. Again, in 9 months, the second door did the same thing. I was referred to Warner Stellians headquarters customer service. Susan ** dealt with LG, who said too much time had lapsed since the original warranty expired. She then contacted their sales rep who came back with the same response. Therefore, Warners Stellian will do nothing about the door. I think the second door should have been under warranty because it was a new door. Otherwise, the microwave should be replaced. The plastic construction of the microwave door is defective; its failed twice, both times within 9 months of installation.

Fridge is 4 years old. Bought new from Future Shop. Two adult person home and the magnets that hold the bottom door shut do not work anymore unless you push the door shut manually after opening and closing the top door. Highly annoying and the fridge runs far too much because not everybody remembers to push the door closed.

Purchased LG Washer in November 2020. Experienced several intermittent leaks. It caused the level legs to stain my floor orange. The stains cannot be removed. Come to find out after the technician had troubleshoot several times that there is an issue with the Deep Wash causing the washer to overfill. Quite upset that this issue exists. The board now needs to be replaced.

Had issues with knobs - almost got burned. Very expensive stove. Cannot bake in oven. LG company is joke. Called over a two year period - get the runaround. Terrible to deal with. Now we have a stove I cannot use. Paid almost two thousand dollars for it. When we call it’s at least one hour on phone!!! No results. Wish someone could help us. We cannot afford to buy another stove. Don’t buy from LG.

I also had a front load LG dryer which stopped drying the clothes. I had a tech come out only at 5pm on a Friday to tell me my dryer vent needs cleaning! The dryer vent did not need cleaning... the tech just wanted to go home. The dryer actually went on fire and is now out at the curb where all LG appliances should be. I also had an LG French door fridge... that was also another POC that broke and went to the curb. I do NOT recommend LG products.

I shudder reading the complaints and expect only the best from my new machine which is doing fine so far. But I am 51 and I cannot reach into the washer to take out washed clothes unless I stand on a stool. I did not buy stackables because in a few years, I will be 80 and I didnt want to be standing on a stool to remove clothes from a stacked dryer. Thats an accident waiting to happen. But guess what--Im on the step stool now! Arrrrrrrrrrgh.

Purchased fridge a year and 1/2 ago. Just my wife and me home. First the piece at top of left door for closing broke off. Then a short time later, the cheap plastic for drawer slide broke. To clean fridge, you have to pull out of wall and pull plug, no turn off switch. I have heard several complaints about LG but because it was the only size that fit in our kitchen space, I thought I would take a chance. Darn sorry now.

Refrigerator stopped cooling, making ice, freezing, and cooling this week. Called LG to find out how to get repair. I have to wait 5 days for service call. I have seen several people waited up to 3 weeks for parts. If this is true I will have to purchase another refrigerator.

Bought an american fridge freezer on Aug 1st 2014. From delivery the appliance didnt work. Phone lg. An engineer came out, had a look and said it needs a new circuit board which would take a week to come. So waited a week and nothing. So I rang lg. Ohhh very sorry, forgot to order the part. We will order it now, which will take a week. Yep another week. So a week has passed and engineer turned up this morning with the part, only to find that its the incorrect circuit board. Absolutely fuming isnt the word. So rang lg, and they have given me a code to take to the store where I bought it from for it to be replaced. So I did, only to be told that lg should have replaced it, not them. So I dont even know if and when Im going to get this resolved.
