The knobs of this range are beyond cheap. When using the super burner (right front knob), I turned it to the OFF position. I left the house shortly after and received a call from my family that they smelled gas. Went home of find, that the right front burner in off position did not have a flame, but left the gas on, thus filling my house with gas. When I call LG, they gave me the run around then said, since I purchased it from Best Buy, I had to call them to complain about the knobs. Now for the math, 5 knobs, 3 broke. By the way, one of the knobs that did not break had a metal strip around it, to reinforce the plastic. Husband works in quality and said it would have cost them around $1.00 per knob to put that little piece of metal on each knob. LG stand behind your stuff! And build more durable knobs to start! WILL NEVER BUY LG AGAIN.

Effort free washing experience, super quiet and cleans clothes very well. Very friendly and easy to use. A setting for every type of clothes. Makes it easy go full auto or select different settings like water temp or second wash for heavy soiled items. Very happy with my super sized front loader washing machine.

Our LG washer was recalled, due to the agitator coming up out of the machine and injuring people. This happened apparently as a result of washing waterproof bedding. LG sent a repairman out, and he did nothing other than put a sticker on the washer that said not to wash waterproof items. This didnt work for us, as my little boy has asthma and needs his mattress covers washed. We proceeded to go shopping, possibly for another LG, but found that ALL LG washers have that warning. We ended up going for a different brand and I am glad we did because about 6 months later, our LG dryer started making this horrible clacking noise. Turned out the drier actually has a cracked drum.We called the LG company, and they said we had to have the receipt (from 4 years ago) or they cant help us. The manager actually hung up on me. We called the place that we got the dryer from, but they dont keep receipt records that long. We also tried our credit card company, and their records only go back to 2011. Stay far, far, away from any LG products. This company makes defective equipment, knows it, and then makes it impossible for you to meet their requirements for them to repair the defects. If you think you may want an LG device, please look at all the bad reviews and horror stories. It takes just a simple Google search.

I have an LG front load fairly new machine and I absolutely hate it. I loved the fact its suppose to save money as it is and helps the environment. I have had the machine 5 years now. The only thing I like is the lights during the washing procedure. I was looking for efficiency but there is nothing efficient about a heavy soiled load of clothes taking over an hour to wash. The machine does not let you soak or pre soak clothes. With muddy clothing, sometimes things need to soak. The machine smells like mildew or mold all the time. The rubber seal is disgusting to look at and clean. Not sure who came up with this brilliant machine but I think its awful. There is barely any water on the clothing when washing. I dont like it at all and with it being 2,000 I feel like I got ripped off. My dryer is a Samsung steam or dry dryer. Never lost an article of clothing in it. The dryer works great. So far no issues. The machine takes forever to wash. The clothes dry quick because they barely get wet. But they do spin fast. I hate the fact there is still pet hair on my uniform pants and some types of fabrics which really makes me mad. Also I cannot soak soiled clothes. The machine drains out any excess water. I am so not a fan of this machine. I am so annoyed with it. I would trade it off for an older top loading machine in a heartbeat.

I purchased glass top electric range, French door refrigerator, dishwasher, & microwave about 7 years ago. I’ve already had all 3 major appliance serviced. Dishwasher 6mos after purchase, frig 3 yrs, range 6 mod ago flashed F9 no heat in oven. Now 2 LG elements on stove, sometimes heat up, sometimes not. Usually if I put them on high the will go on, but can’t regulate them. I’ve always owned GE appliances and never replaced bc they no longer worked. They’d been out dated. This will be my 2nd repair for a couple hundred $$ within 6mos on a 7yr old stove. Also NO ONE wants to service LG. At least in my area. Appliances look great but not dependable.

Shortly after year warranty machine gives error code 6. Thankfully we had extended warranty. Service mechanic attempted to replace defective clutch after waiting a week for the part, but apparently the nut that holds the unit together corrodes so he had to cut it to remove. After waiting another week for the nut he replaced the defective clutch. Behold the new clutch is supposedly bad. After calling customer service at LG I was told to keep my phone line open and to expect a call from a technician. Sitting here waiting on a call wondering if we will be waiting another two weeks to have it fixed.Thinking if this is going to become another lawsuit issue as they had with the first LG model? Water saving, that is a joke. Takes almost two hours to clean clothes adequately as you need extra rinse to get them rinsed properly. Then wrings them so tight you have to try too untangle them before you can put in dryer. Hope that by end of day something is resolved. Only good thing to say is the extended warranty people have been excellent trying to help, but dont think they are connected to LG.

Updated on 10/03/2019: LG phoned today regarding my review. Since I didnt have a haul away receipt, there was nothing they could do and since I didnt purchase another LG product, they couldnt help with the cost. They dont care about the customer, as they say they do. I spoke to LG many times during the 3 months I was without a refrigerator and asked that they replace the unit or give me a buyout with no response. An Appliance repair company e-mailed them after speaking to a person in the executive services and asked that they contact me regarding a replacement or buyout, but, of course, they never did.Original review: Do not purchase! I spent 3 agonizing months trying to get the compressor replaced. Every time a technician came they said it wasnt the compressor and changed the fan, door magnet, and adjusted the sensitivity in the door light. Finally I had to call another appliance repair company due to the fact that their warranty company is horrible. Then, it took many weeks to get LG to authorize them to do the work. Finally, the technician began to install the compressor that LG sent 3 months prior. LG had sent the wrong compressor for this model. When the correct compressor was installed, it didnt fix the problem. After many calls to LG, they would not replace the refrigerator, nor give me a buyback. My 18 month old refrigerator is now in the dump and I am very happy with my new GE.

Got this LG top of the line unit October 2015. Within a month the water began filling through the detergent AND softener trays simultaneously. Did the digital wifi help thing dozens of times with my cellphone, they said nothing wrong, clean your inlet filters. What??? By December the tub failed to fill with enough water at all to wash anything, regardless which tray side was filling from. A load of Pure Colors came out literally with dry spots in the clothing! Add to that, the balancer within the direct drive unit was slipping badly, somewhat similar to a bad car clutch, and any size load on any cycle was being violently bashed against the inside frame. Sounded like my front door was being kicked in. So, to sum up, I have $878 worth of scrap in my house that will not fill properly, wash properly or spin properly. I still have 7 more months on the financial contract, and Im sick about it.LG finally hooked me up with an in house service guy --- he never replied to the 2 service calls that were set up --- and closed out both tickets saying customer reported solved. Really? By the way, the name of this place was Als TV and Model Railroad so that about sums up the quality of LG service!!! My lawyer is requesting certified copies of LGs warranty, the financial contract, and my phone and web interactions. I dont want to feel as if my only option is legal action, but I will if LG leaves me no other option.

I purchased a top loading LG Washer from Sears, and purchased the extended master plan warranty with it. Within 2 years it has already started rusting near the dispenser drawer. Sears would offer no help whatsoever, and said the rust is not covered. NEVER buying an LG, NEVER shopping at Sears ever again. This is regarding open ticket which has been going on since December. Dryer is still under warranty, it was purchased in August. It does not dry correctly, get flow sense and D80 error message. Per LG request, we serviced our exhaust system and checked all the ventilation and house flaps, duck ductwork etc. Twice. Proof can be provided. All is fine on the house side. Error messages happens even with dryer is not connected to the house, which rules out the house. Its a new construction as well. Triangle Appliances has been working on the dryer since then and replaced everything LG has asked them to. Still not working. As of yesterday, Triangle Appliances deemed it unrepairable per their expertise and written proof of that will be provided. LG refuses to replace it and says there is nothing else they can/want to do regarding repairs. LG is under warranty obligation and refusing service. Please forward this to the right department, for resolution or we will be taking legal action. Also, let me add that the only LG technician available in the area (Durham, NC) was incompetent, not professional, rude to my wife and showed up without parts (he did check they were on back order) and blamed us for it. This is why we ended up working with Triangle Appliances, LG approved, and they have been great.

I chose the LG refrigerator because I had done a lot of research and it was the best one of all. It is large and can hold most of our groceries with no issues. All I wanted it to do was hold groceries and it has more than met that expectation. It has a door that separates and lets you have more storage for more items. The freezer is huge and has a lot of room. I am able to find things I need quickly and easily. It is the best refrigerator I have ever had. Its nice and I am very happy with it. I cannot think of much I would want to improve. Maybe making the ice maker faster is something as it can be very slow and I am impatient. Sometimes it doesnt stay as cold as I would like but it is very easy to fix.

I bought this machine 3/10/2014. It has NEVER washed a load in less than 70 minutes. When I called a repairman he said, You use well water. Use WARM WATER, which I do. He recommended a special detergent as well as a special washing machine cleaner, WHICH I tried with no improvement. If the machine is SUPPOSED to wash a load in 35 MINUTES, I EXPECT it to take APPROXIMATELY 35 minutes. If this machine hadnt been so expensive to buy, I would have it hauled to the dump.

We purchased all LG products and all of them have not lived up to our standards. The biggest problem is the knobs on the gas stove. The knobs should be ruled as DEFECTIVE and DANGEROUS. In my career I travel quite a bit and even though I have adult kids at home sometimes they do not notice when the gas is on because of the broken knobs. The white plastic on the insides have cracked causing the knobs to just turn but not completely turning the stove off. I have contacted LG and I too have been told to purchase new knobs, however you can purchase the knobs but the problem is still not fixed. I noticed that the new LG stoves have knobs that are very steady. Why not just replace the old knobs with the newer model knobs. I pray that before anything happens like gas explosions, gas leaks etc., they would ruled out that the knobs are defective and update all the former customers with the new knobs. A couple of thousand dollars is better than a couple of million for major lawsuits.

After 3 years needed minor repair. LG wouldn’t sell me the part. Had to pay LG repair guy to do a job I could easily do. Very annoying. After 5 years door seal went. Called. They said weld broke on drum. $800 for parts not worth fixing. Single man after 5 years. We purchased a complete new set of appliances (including this LG electric range) in September 2011 at Best Buy. During the late summer/early fall of 2013 we began to experience difficulty turning the stove top burners off. This progressively got worse and shortly thereafter we started to wake up in the morning to a glowing red burner on high; so it also turns “on” by itself. Since then (approx. 6 months ago) I regulate our LG electric range by turning off the “range” breaker in our house circuit panel. This is really inconvenient. I quickly looked online to see if others experienced this problem and soon became aware of recall #13-031 initiated on November 8th, 2012. I then called LG and explained the issues; they transferred me to the recall department who initially said “sorry, your range is outside of our recall parameters; it’s too new”. I explained that I have the identical make, model, symptom, and purchase location as what recall #13-031 states. They didn’t care. I then informed LG that I also have three young daughters and I am afraid I will forget to turn the household circuit breaker off and one of them may get burned or our house could burn down one night. Again this didnt matter.During this same call the lady I was speaking with asked if we still owned our LG top load washer. I said “yes, we love it”. She said that unit has a recall and they would send an authorized tech out to repair it. This occurred in the late October/early November time frame and the washer was never the same, ruined. They tried several more times then finally agreed to replace it. We went without a washer for two months and commuted to and from the laundry mat almost daily while we waited. They finally exchanged it with a new model which runs great. During this wait I kept on calling LG customer service not only asking where our replacement washer was, but also updating them on our LG electric range. One day in December I finally was able to talk to a sympathetic recall rep who said “your range is included in the recall; it’s deep in our notes”. He said he would arrange the recall repair, finally! A few days later the local LG authorized repair center called and said they could not find our unit listed or a recall number which they needed to obtain the parts. I called LG again, spoke to a lady, and she could not validate my previous call. Regardless she heard me out and said “we will take care of this under good will”. The LG authorized service center came out in early December to inspect it, verified the problem and ordered the parts. They returned on December 17th, 2013 and installed the new parts and as soon as we activated the breaker the burners lit up red on high; once again the recall made our appliance worse. I stood right next to the tech when he called the LG tech line on speakerphone. They informed him not to touch it anymore; he has done all he can do. They will review it for replacement. Again, this occurred on 12-17-2013. I was emailed a link and submitted my proof or purchase. Then a few weeks later on 1-10-2014 I was contacted by an RA coordinator, “**”. She said LG would issue a refund but first needed to pick up our range, truck it to Minneapolis, package it, right it to Illinois, inspect it and then issue payment. She said this process would take “2 to 3 weeks” which after our recent washer experience I really have to question. I asked what we should do for 2-3 weeks without a range? She said we could front the costs of a new range and if we don’t have the money then perhaps we could explore financing it at zero percent interest then pay it off when the check arrives… I then asked what if LG repairs our range and ships it back or rejects the claim? Dead silence… I politely said this would not work for us. We have a very dangerous LG range and we want it repaired or replaced just as LG did with our washer a few months ago. We cannot afford to be without a range for 2-3 weeks nor can we afford to purchase another new range and wait for unknown results. LG denied this request three times (last conversation on 3-18-14) stating because our LG electric range is not part of the recall. So here we sit waiting, not sure this above experience is aligned with the LG Mission Statement.

After only a year and two months after purchase, our LG dishwasher (LDS4821ST) is obviously having a drain pump issue, and thankfully we purchased the service plan at Home Depot. This washer sucks. It has become noisy, the panel freaks out and sometimes you cannot choose certain wash cycles, and now this drain pump issue. Its a huge piece of **. Follow my advice, since I know people with more expensive washers - get something like a Bosch or, if you really have the cash, a Miele. If you purchase an LG, you will regret it. Oh, and we also have an LG refrigerator, which also sucks. Although there are no real problems yet, it cools unevenly, and even when the unit is set at 36, some zones read 42-44 degrees (I have a digital chefs thermometer), which is in the danger zone for food (40/140 rule).

LG WT487OCW top loading washing machine - Purchased 7 months ago. Since day one the machine gave constant signals of being out of balance. We constantly have to restart the machine extending washing time to an average of 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The diagnostic system built into the machine is not helpful. It diagnosed a different problem and could not correct it. Currently it dispenses water during the spin cycle, again extending the total cycle due to having to restart the machine. Customer service did reply with a warranty repair that is pending. Since purchasing this refrigerator just a few years ago and thinking it would be great only a few months afterwards came the first compressor failure. Having to call customer service somewhere Across the Universe and get in touch with anyone who is willing to come out and fix it was a chore. Apparently most repair places do not want to work with LG because of these issues and their difficulty in compliance. And when they came out and checked it then the compressor took weeks to get there. Each time. This happened at least three more times and I think four because one time they claimed it was something else but three times it has been a compressor failure. So much so that the technician who came recently to the house actually had a compressor on his truck because he said nine times out of 10 the refrigerator has a compressor failure again and again so they are carrying them on their trucks. We have gone weeks and weeks without a refrigerator. I have never in my life had a refrigerator with such poor service. In fact never had to deal with anything with any of my refrigerators until this expensive supposedly excellent refrigerator. I promise I will never again purchase another one of these and I am insisting my husband get in touch with the manufacturers to replace this refrigerator as it has now failed on all counts and MEETS CRITERIA FOR THE LEMON LAW and it is a TOTAL LEMON.***It is impossible to deal with something that is going to ruin your food over and over again and leave you without any recourse until someone gets there again to fix it and you never know when its going to happen. BUT you do know its going to happen and it will happen and probably sooner than later. Debra Asheville NC

I felt really good about LG Refrigerators until mine had an issue. It really was not an issue at all, but the company that they sent to check it out made it into a big issue. I had called and said, My freezer was frosted over. Did I just not got it shut good or is there something wrong? There was also a shelf that had a crack. They would need to come out and fix that. And they said theyd take a look at it when they come out. So, the guy came out and fixed the other things, and then he said there were two fans for the freezer and one of them was only working part of the time. He also said he was gonna have to order another fan. And he scheduled to be back out the following Sunday to replace that. The following Sunday came around, and he didnt show up. I was here all day. I was calling them and they said he was gonna be here, but he never showed up. So, we set it again for the following Sunday. Again, the second Sunday in a row, my only day-off of the week, and I was sitting at the house at the couch, and again, he did not show up. And then, that got me. At one point, during the day, they lied and said they just talked to him and that he was gonna be calling me. I didnt get a call. And when I called them back, they said they were still trying to get a hold of him. So, then, I was trying to get LG to send somebody else, but they go right back to the same outfit. The third Sunday in a row, a different guy showed up and he took one look and said there is only one fan on this refrigerator freezer, and its working fine. He said, “You probably didnt have the door shut good, the reason it frosted over. So, I was really angry. And then, during this whole time, LG was sending me things, trying to get me to take another extended warranty on this. And Im like, Youre not even taking care of me on your original warranty. Im not about to spend more money for an additional warranty when I got treated so crappy in the first place.” Another thing is the first time, when the guy did come and he said that was what it needed, it was not long after that that also, it quit making ice. And I told him that when I was waiting for all those times for somebody to come back out, and its not making ice now. When the other guy did come out, he looked. The first guy had turned the ice maker off and never turned it back on.I like the refrigerator. I like that for the size because that size is the only size in my condo that I can get a refrigerator. And its working fine now, but at the same time, Ive been so upset about how I got treated, and I should have never been treated that way. I wish LG would do something to make up for it like give me another year of extended warranty and dont charge me for it. I didnt get my moneys worth.

Bought the refrigerator in December of 2017. In June of 2021 the compressor went out. Had a technician come out. Told me it was a compressor. LG says they have to send their own own technician out to confirm it is the compressor. Their guy comes out. Confirms what the 1st guy said. They say they dont have anyone available and that if its not working then I need to call lg back. I call LG only to learn that they say the same technician has to come out and they can discuss with their technician over the phone whats wrong with my refrigerator. I will never buy anything from this company again. Horrible customer service. Very, disrespectful. They dont care about their customers whatsoever and if they say they do its a flat out lie.

May 2014 purchased brand new LG stove model number lre3083st. Barely used, went to use self cleaning before Thanksgiving. Stove quit working the entire unit top/bottom. Stove would not unlock. I had to fight with LG to get someone down here to fix the product. A repair company finally came. He explained that it had became so hot that it burnt the back of the unit melting the wires. He said he replaced it. I did not attempt to used the method again until this year in July 2015. There are two self cleaning methods on the stove and I was going to use the one that is a shorter cleaning. When I attempted to use it, I realized it did not work. I immediately contacted LG. They stated they would give me a 30 day warranty extension and have someone come out. I waited and a repair service called. They said they needed to contact LG and would contact me back. They never did. Then LG called, left message on August 4 stating that the repair shop would be in touch to fix my stove and if I did not hear from them to call them back. I called, left messages and they never returned my calls. I then called LG today and spoke with a Lyn and explained my situation. She then informed me that the 30 days were up and that it wasnt the same issue and I would have to pay for it. I was on the phone with her for 40 min explaining and defending the fact that this was the same issue and that their company had already made arrangements to fix this. She finally said she would contact the service repair. I told her I wanted to talk to manager. She transferred me to an Adrianne who repeated the same thing stating that the 30 days were up because I trusted that they would send someone out. After telling her I was going to report this she said she could either contact the repair company or I would have to send receipt to her so that she could contact another repair shop. I explained I did not understand why I would have to do that when they already have all my information. She gave me her email address and fax to send the receipt to. Fax ** and **. I have my statement where I purchased the stove and thought I had receipt but unfortunately I may have to wait 30 to 90 day for Lowes to send me receipt. This is ridiculous. I was not required the first time and they have all my info and they didnt require it the second time but now I need it. Its just another tactic so they dont have to stand by and fix their product. LG is not standing by their products and the people they have working for them are not dependable. Now I have a stove that does not function properly.

I bought an LG side-by-side refrigerator in Aug. 2009. It has been a problem since it was delivered. The first one was replaced and a new model was brought out. This one has been a nightmare since. The ice maker freezes up and does not work; you only get shaved ice. It has leaked to the point that it has bubbled the paint and rusted around the bottom of the exterior part of the ice maker. I have contacted the extended warranty company Assurance, which I purchased. They have been out for four different occasions and replaced the ice maker. They said there was nothing they could do about the rusted and peeled paint.I contacted LG and they said it was something I intentionally did to the refrigerator otherwise, it would not have done it. I was told by NFM that the extended warranty would cover all defects. Under the LEMON law, after 3 times and it would be replaced. Aug 23, 2011, I contacted Assurance and the representative gave a claim number and said it would be replaced; transferred me to an underwriter and he informed me in no circumstances did I have an extended warranty that had a Lemon Law Clause in it. It would have had to be added separately. I told him I never heard of that. He explained that he would not exchange this product for that reason and I would have to contact Nebraska Furniture Mart, which I did and still waiting to hear from them. LG makes the worse products and hopefully, the government will step in and take away their right to sell this crap in the USA. I have also told them the freezer has problems also; freezes up too much or not enough, and the refrigerator part stays cold or freezes everything.

Our LG dishwasher has never (since the day we had it installed) cleaned our dishes or dried them. I first noticed that after carefully rinsing all residue off my dishes, they still were dirty after running them through the normal cleaning cycle. I then washed my dishes and started using the power scrub feature every time and noticed the dishes had either food or soap reside on them and were never hot or dry after the washer stopped. I have to pre-wash everything I put into it and wipe off the soap afterward even though I use Jet-Dry. My dishes are barely warm when the 2-hour power scrub cycle is finished. I called LG support and after several questions, I realized that the customer service rep was going through a checklist in order to troubleshoot the root cause of the problem. She asked if I had cleaned the unit by the manual instructions to make sure there was no food debris clogging (YES). She asked if I used the proper detergent and if my washer actually had power to it (Yes and yes). She asked if I used the power scrub feature. She wanted to know if my dishwasher was connected to my garbage disposal? She said I had to check the line to make sure it was clear, but she told me that there was no way for me to do that other than looking at the line - REALLY? She told me that I obviously needed a technician to come out for the price of $85.00 to diagnose and probably more than $250.00 for parts and labor. She also told me that I could not talk to a technician or anyone else other than her over the phone.Weve had nothing but trouble from our LG refrigerator as well - having had to replace the water line 4 TIMES before the fridge actually stopped working and then had to pay LG for a new motherboard. I will NEVER again buy another LG appliance. Customer service is POOR at best and appliance functionality is a joke.

I liked the LG brand initially and the refrigerator was on sale. Adjustable temperatures for desired food storage. Roomy storage and easy to disassemble to clean. Lower power usage for reduced electricity bill. But the lifespan of the refrigerator is not as long as desired. It did not meet my expectations as my older refrigerator outlasted this one by about 20 years.

Beware! I thought my new LG oven was self-cleaning. After all it says Easy Clean on the selection on the top of the range. Easy Clean is NOT easy. It involves: pre-scraping; using water with very low temperatures; and a LOT of elbow grease with non-stick scrubbers after the 20 minute process. I am SO disappointed in this aspect of what is otherwise a great oven and range. LG -- you need to fix this issue going forward!!! I am way too old to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing my oven. This is pathetic...and an all day process.

My second LG inherited through a relationship and just as bad as mine. These machines are very fussy about everything from water-pressure to drainage. They simply do not clean as well as anything I have owned before. Fluff and lint problems. Various random errors constantly occur and a wash can take hours and hours due to a well-documented LG bug (Google LG Washing Machine balance issues). Just downright bad product.

Purchased the largest 110v LG Window Air Conditioner at Home Depot on Janua
Purchased the largest 110v LG Window Air Conditioner at Home Depot on January 9th 2013. On May 26th the Unit started freezing up. Contacted LG, it took 16 days to get a technician out to diagnose, then 4 days to wait for a new Condenser. 2 weeks later the unit froze up again. Called LG whom sent out the same Technician the next day and he stated it was low on refrigerant. This is a sealed unit that was ice cold on the day of the first repair, but he stated it was not fully charged, so he charged it. Three weeks later the unit froze again. LG stated they would send the same Technician the next day for a third attempt, and that if it could not be resolved they would then replace the unit. I was told the appointment time would be between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. but after having left work early my wife waited there all day for nothing. The technician never called or showed. At 6:05 p.m. I called LG who stated not to worry he would be there some time that night. At 8:15 he showed up. I was there for this visit. I am a 30 year GM Technician and hold both ASE, Robin Aire, IMACA and GM A/C certifications. I watched the technician hook a gauge to the unit and the readings with the unit on was 60psi on the low side. They do not use a high side. The needle never waivered, yet the evaporator was frozen as were the lines leading toward the compressor. He claimed that the evaporator must be clogged. I replied it had been professionally cleaned the first time it froze up in May even though it was only 5 months old. He was adamant the unit could not breathe, so we took the unit outside and with a flashlight removed the evaporator and flushed the unit with a hose and found no debris, no mold, no dirt, nothing restricting the cooling fins. The water was clear and went straight through front to back and top to bottom. This stumped and confused the technician who claimed he did not know what was wrong. We reinstalled the unit and turned it back on and watched it start to freeze again the exact same way. I stated that where the freeze point ended had to be the point of an internal restriction debris, etc. and he stated that it must be a free floating internal restriction but had no idea how to fix it. So he wrote a note saying the system was fully charged and cleaned and he found nothing wrong. I was left with an A/C unit that still does not cool and freezes up. I called LG today, they had previously told me that after three repair attempts they would replace the unit. However today, they stated they would send a different technician who could give a different opinion, then they would consider replacing the unit. I was extremely upset and was beside myself with anger. First I was lied to about the time of the appointment, then I was lied to about third time repair attempt and they would replace my unit. Now I am expected to lose more time at work to be there for another repair attempt when they have failed in the last three to make a repair. There must be another way to resolve this short of buying another unit. I have a three year replacement plan with Home Depot but it does not start until after the year is up and that is still 4 months away, and in the heat of Florida I will not last 4 months with out A/C. This is unacceptable and should not be the way a company treats their customers. I will never buy another LG product and will pursue this until I get some type of resolution, I am just not sure what or when that may be.

I spent $800 for this machine and the clothes are absolutely filthy after washing with this machine. Like, I would have to take them to the coin laundromat. I am embarrassed to let guests use it. It is nasty. It gives me error messages of being unbalanced even when I am doing a tub clean cycle and there is no clothes in the machine at all. Ive had the service people out 3 times. They did nothing. Finally LG decided that the problem could be fixed – the month after my year-long warranty expired. Now they want $200 to fix the same problem I was calling them about all year. I am so frustrated. I am going to throw away an $800 washing machine because it is absolutely disgusting.

Our range is two years old. We purchased an extended warranty. A few months ago, I noticed rust spots on the front of the stainless steel oven door. LG is giving me the runaround on fixing this. The warranty does not cover cosmetic issues, so I had to, after 4 hours on the phone, deal with LG supervisors. I am in the process of waiting to hear if the oven door will be replaced at no cost to me. From what I learned on the internet, this is a common problem in the manufacture of stainless steel appliances, but the companies that sell them refuse to take responsibility for the issue and blame it on the consumer for not taking proper care of the product.

We bought this microwave a week ago and will be taking it back to Menards tomorrow (and will be writing a review about them if they dont give us our $ back!). It worked fine until tonight. The only complaint we had was that it didnt have a timer on it but we could deal with that. Now, however, it is junk. We had the light on below the microwave and when I turned it off, I turned the vent on to see how many settings it had. I turned it back off and noticed the light inside the microwave was now on and the turntable was going. It wouldnt stop. It was finally discovered that if we pushed stop, then energy saver, it would stop and the light would go off but nothing would make it work. Anytime we tried to put a time in the display, it would just read door and do nothing except spin and have the light on. Its off the wall and back in the box. Menards, here we come!!

The hot surface lights on my LG range (lde3011st) have not worked and this could be a burn hazard. I also bought the service contract. Im not at all happy with LG as they will not even call me back and will not answer my emails. I also found there is an opening between the glass in the two ovens. It burned the top of my hand from condensation building up between the glass when the ovens are on and then drips down onto to your hand when you are puling item out or basting something. LG does not care. They just want your money. I will never buy another LG product again.

When I decided to purchase this washer, I chose LG expecting to be dealing with one of the top corporations in electronics. What a disappointment! On trying to have it repaired - error message indicating the machine is not draining - I contacted you asking for a local authorized dealer. I was given the name of RISING SERVING SOLUTIONS whom I contacted and got an appointment for a WEEK LATER. So far, after 3 visits of their technician who changed the drain motor twice, the brain of the machine and having paid $390 for the repair, I continue to have the same exact problem. On my last conversation with the technician he alleged that the problem is with the drain hose/pipe.Although Im not knowledgeable on the subject this explanation makes no sense, since the machine drains water properly on the wash and rinse cycles, presenting the problem only on the spin going on to dry cycle. Calling twice and speaking to your supervisors at customer service led nowhere. What to do next?

If I could I would have NO STAR - We’ve had nothing but bad luck with our LG appliances- first of all our dishwasher -the control panel went haywire 5 months after we got it- well that happened 2 more times since. When we built our home we also bought an LG gas range, refrigerator and microwave. So last year we went to Alaska and when we came home in August the stove control panel also had gone haywire. You cannot properly read the numbers that tell you the temperature/time so when you set the temperature you have no idea what youre setting it to. Called LG and after hours on the phone with them to get it repaired they did NOTHING. Our cost to find out by the repairman (we paid for) that to fix it we would spend more than what a new oven would cost. It is barely over a year old and possibly failed prior to being a year old! 2 days ago we woke up to our LG French door refrigerator inside as warm as our room temperature and everything inside ruined. It is just barely 2 years old! Called LG for repairs- ended up having to get our own repair guy, and it has a bad compressor, won’t read codes, and needs a new control board. The repairman said it’s an extensive repair and could possibly fail again easily (read class action law suit on them). Called LG back and now we have to wait to hear from Service Power to see if anyone can fix it. They offered NOTHING for the loss of food but would send us up to $200 for a mini fridge- and he’d send us an email for doing so- still waiting for that. These appliances cost thousands of dollars! Buyer Beware!!! They are junk!

We purchased an LG front loader washing machine, LG dryer and LG refrigerator in 2006. The dryer needed repair service once; the washing machine had several issues including nasty smell, weird spots on clothes and needed lots of repair, and the refrigerator has stopped working twice. We had purchased the appliances through Best Buy and were able to cover some of those repairs under the extended warranty. All the appliances are long out of warranty now. Last year, we found that there was an internal leak in the washing machine causing the rear left housing to rust completely through which resulted in a flooded laundry area every time the machine was running. Now the freezer/refrigerator stopped working (again). I have not yet contacted LG as I dont expect them to actually do anything about these issues. The dryer is still running as far as I know. In all fairness, we have used the washer extensively but based on my experience with other brands, I would not buy any LG appliances again. They were expensive, turned out to be substandard, and have costly repairs.

Current elapsed time of this issue is now 1 and 1/2 months. The LG refrigerator (LFXC24726S/02) stopped working on April 27, 2018. The refrigerator is still under warranty. I bought a kitchen suite of 4 appliances through Costco which included the refrigerator. LG did not want to honor the warranty at first. After several calls they sent a technician who determined it was a defective compressor. 2 weeks elapsed and neither LG nor I heard from him again. After several calls to LG a second technician came and also determined it was a defective compressor. He ordered the compressor. He finally came to our house but refused to install the compressor because LG had not paid him for previous service calls and demanded payment for his services upfront. He was rude and discourteous. He said LG failed to provide him with the info to process the repair. He did not want to talk to the LG customer service either. I was able to get him the info so he could proceed. He installed the compressor under duress. He left right away. The repair to the refrigerator failed.I had contacted Costco and Costco and LG have been going back and forth to make a final determination to provide a refund. There is still no determination. I have kept notes of the ineptitude of LG, its customer service, its repair services and its unwilling to fulfill the obligations of the warranty. I have spent countless hours trying to find a resolution. I have been without a refrigerator and have lost food to spoilage. I am not happy that Costco is also unable to leverage LG to address the issue. I am being neglected and not responded to because of LGs lack of care toward its customers. It is further distressing that a company can flat out not fulfill the warranty obligations of its products.

We had our 7 year old Lg fridge die on us. We were offered a rebate if we bought another LG fridge which we accepted. The new fridge did not work but LG would not accept this for several weeks so we were without full use of our new product. After much hassle we finally received a new fridge in Aug. 2014. We have not received the rebate and are told each time that we call (speaking to a service rep in Panama) that the check is in the mail and we will have it in a few days. This is going on for the last 4 to 5 weeks. Our original rep, Mohinee **, quit taking our calls and will not respond to emails from us. We asked if we could speak to someone in Canada to see if our check has actually been mailed and were refused access to a Canadian rep. We then called information for LG electronics Canada and were given the number 416 743 7575. We have made 3 calls and no one answers at that number. LG certainly has our number and our money. When we went shopping for a new washer/dryer, I was upset to find that nobody carried the old-timey washing machines -- unless you wanted a very small tub that you cant wash your bedding in. I did not like the fact that these new washing machines did not let you set your own water level or preferred washing cycle (you know, permanent press, delicate, regular, etc.); nor did I like the fact that it did NOT have an agitator. I do not need a washer/dryer for dummies who need presets for the various types of loads. LOL Plus, I had a sneaking suspicion that a washer without an agitator couldnt get laundry cleaned properly.Well, as it turns out, everything I did not like about the new washers is everything that I absolutely hate about our LG top loader that we bought in 2012. I was right not to want one in the first place, but I had no choice but to buy one if I wanted a NEW washer/dryer. The load sensor simply cannot gauge the size of a load properly. It either adds too much or too little water. Most of the time, it wont add enough water to cover even half of the load. When you trick it into adding more water (by opening and closing the lid as if you added garments), it ALWAYS adds water to the top -- even for a tiny load of undies.I was told they came out with these new types of washers to help reduce water usage. Well, thats an epic fail! Especially since the machine never gets the laundry clean, which often results in washing a load two or three times. I always wondered why Downy came out with those scent-boosting pellets, which we never needed with our old-timey washer -- because these washers simply do not clean clothes and they need something to make things at least smell good. Who do they think theyre fooling when soiled clothes come out of the washer still soiled? Now, about the lack of agitator, I couldnt have been more right. I was told by the salesman that the wave force is the way the machine agitates the clothes. Well, how can the wave force work when theres too little water in the machine that it doesnt even cover the load? When it fills the tub to the top on a load that didnt need that much water, the wave force causes the clothing to get all twisted. Each piece is twisted on itself as well as twisted with other clothing items. How gentle is that on clothing? With my old-timey washer, I could wash the dogs bedding and have it come out minus all of the dog hair and any stains and smells. Not with this machine. Theres always a significant collection of dog hair, particularly on the top, and I had to begin using color bleach to help with stains and smells better, but its still not clean. Dont even get me started on how unclean undies come out. LOL Those two types of loads, as well as towels, are usually the ones I have to wash two or three times -- and they STILL arent as clean as they should be.At least the dryer does a decent job, but it makes a weird noise that has me worried it will break down at any moment. Also, I fortunately have not had as many issues with the washer getting unbalanced as Ive read that others have had, but I hope I didnt just jinx myself by saying that because it does seem to be happening more often of late.At the moment, I simply cannot afford to replace a washer/dryer set thats only a few years old. My old Maytag lasted 20+ years with only two minor belt replacements, so I certainly did not expect to have to replace a three-year-old set or spend gobs of money fixing something that, according to other reviews, probably wont fix a thing.I tell you what, though, when I do go to replace them, if the stores do not have the old-timey machines with large-capacity tubs, I will go to a store that refurbishes them and spend my hard-earned money there -- most likely on a Maytag set. Maybe I should go check them out now to see how affordable they are. I know for a fact they wont cost thousands of dollars and will STILL actually get my clothes clean with less time and water -- not to mention without Downys smell-good-dirty pellets. LOLIn conclusion...just say no! Not only to LG, but any washer like it because its not possible to PROPERLY wash laundry without an agitator. Furthermore, if youre a green person like me who wants to save on water, you will cringe at how much water these washing machines cause you to waste just trying to get your laundry clean -- and to no avail.

I purchased an LG washing machine in Oct. 2007 at Best Buy. The washing machine rubber seal showed signs of mold within the first 6 months. I was told to keep the door open, but with animals and children here, this is impossible to do. The smell of mold is not pleasant. In 2010, I began to have electronic issues with the machine flashing the code le. I had 3 service calls for this problem (August, September, and December of 2010). The service tech would check the machine and circuit board for each call. This cost me $68.50 per visit. The same electronic issue code, le, began again in 2011. I have had 2 service calls (March and December). The same fix it job checked the circuit board. Again, the cost was $68.50 per visit. Now, in 2012, I have had 2 more service calls (February and March) for the same electronic issue, which cost me $68.50 and $119.00 respectively, for labor fees, to have the service tech do a full load of laundry! I was told that I needed to put heavier loads of laundry? After the tech left, I did a heavy load of laundry, and the machine again flashed the same electronic code, le! I have another service call tomorrow. They will now replace the circuit board (for around $300.00), but they told me that it might be another problem, like the motor. The total cost is around $461.50. LG does not produce good products. My advice to anyone looking at this brand is the old saying, buyers, beware!”. Shop for another brand!

Although the purpose of a washing machine is to clean clothes, my LG front-loading machine washing machine makes my clothes and bedding dirty, covering them with disgusting dark brown or blackish stains!!! This happens in spite of my doing everything I can to keep the tub and door clean: regularly washing the tub using the tub-clean cycle with appropriate cleaners, always leaving the door and dispenser drawer open, draining and cleaning the pump filter (although this always entails water all over my floor since the drain is much too low to put an adequate container underneath to catch all the water)... Its no use! I could even live with the machines constant struggles to be balanced enough to do a proper spin, but this dirtying of what Im expecting to get clean is just too much. Shame on you LG for selling a product that does the opposite of its expected function!

Please when purchasing a LG product make sure you look at the warranty. I have owned 2 LG products. First was a dishwasher the second is a refrigerator. Both of these products had issues that should be covered under LG warranty and LG has fought me on both warranty claims. The first was the dishwasher. When I called in for a warranty claim I was told LG could not warranty it as I did not have the original purchase receipt. Even though the Model and Serial Number on my dishwasher noted it was under warranty they would not honor their warranty. At that time I did not realize I could have fought it so I purchased a new dishwasher (that was not LG).Now in 2020 my fridge stopped working. It is the compressor. My fridge is still under warranty and the compressor should be mailed to my home. LG is making me jump through hoops to get the compressor mailed so my fridge can be fixed. LG will not send me the product without talking to my technician. In saying that I have supplied LG with my technician’s contact information and LG has told me that they have reached out to my technician to authorize the part. My technician as received NO authorization request. When I reached out to LG to note my technician had not received and email I was then told it would take 3-5 business days to contact him. I feel that LG has no right to authorize my technician in order to send me the part. Today there are so many clever people that can fix their own appliances. If I was a handy person and was able to fix my own LG fridge, LG would not send the part directly to me as I am not a technician. I think this is very unethical. The fridges compressor does not work it is under warranty, LG should mail the part without question. So at this point I am going on 15 days without refrigerator. LG will not send me the part even though I own the fridge and it is under warranty. They have supposedly contacted my technician but at this point he has not been contacted. I just wanted to let everyone know what I am going through so that when you purchase any major appliance consider purchasing one that has a better track record at honoring their warranty. If you do purchase an LG appliance at least now you are well aware that they will make you jump through hoops and likely not going to honor the warranty on that appliance. It would be better to find a company that is willing to honor their warranty even if it costs more.

LG is the worst thing you can buy, and the customer service is even more worse. I purchased a refrigerator that has only been used for five months. It is completely broken, and replacement is taking two months, and still waiting. When you call them, you will hold forever. Not just me, everybody I knew, who bought an LG appliance, said the same thing. Dont buy LG if you want your life to be good.

I purchased a LG electric range Model No. LRE30453ST on 11/25/2011 for $885.90 from Home Depot. Unfortunately I hardly used the oven to realize I was sold a defective range. The electronic control pad does not work for any of the oven options because the start sensor is defective. I called both Home Depot (Store 2901 - 228-867-9925) and LG (1-800-243-0000) customer service departments. I was told by LG they only have a one year warranty on their products and Home Depot told me that they only have a two year warranty period. All I know is that I have basically a new appliance that took me 1 years to pay off and it is now nothing more than a decoration taking up space in my kitchen. Shame on LG Electronics and Home Depot for selling defective appliances. I make just a little over minimum wage and have no way to purchase a new range. This makes me so mad. I have had ranges that lasted over 20 years and now my range just sits there doing nothing!

Updated on 05/30/2020: As I stated in previous review this dishwasher has a manufacturing problem and LG refuses to do anything because it been too long!! It was made without railing on the bottom and thats why the basket keeps falling inside the machine. To refresh, they sent me about a year ago 2 new baskets, which of course didnt help. I dont know anything about machinery so I wasnt aware of the problem. A very nice problem resolver named Sean called and took pictures and told me what the problem was in the manufacturing and that he would resolve my problem and would be calling me in 1 HOUR. Well, its been 5 days and NO CALL!! Each time I have called customer service for an update they get snooty with me and keep giving me the run around. I WILL NOT be purchasing anymore LG products they do not stand by their products. For Sean who said he would help go to hell!!Original Review: LG makes an excellent washer with the exception of my lower basket. From day one Ive had a problem with it and LG sent me another one and it lasted less than 1 year. The bottom basket falls off the runner constantly and I am a senior that would prefer not to have to lift the entire basket filled with dishes to try to push it backside the washer. The model # is LDT9965BD and I bought it a Best Buy and Best Buy refused to help me. So Ive had this washer for 3 years and everyday the same problem. If I could buy another dishwasher I would. Also the things on the top and bottom move and I have to keep adjusting them and the utensil holder is a problem as it breaks apart and now is permanently broken. I could live with the others things. Its the bottom basket running off the rails everyday that is challenging. LG will not resolve this issue so I live with this aggravation on a daily basis.

I have a 2-year-old LG Dryer. Not long after I bought it, it started catching clothing articles on the dryer filter at the front of the door. My clothes are getting ruined. The dryer will twist all the clothes together and the piece of clothing that gets caught, will stretch out or rip. I have already replaced a filter that cost $30, thinking it was a defective filter (not warranted). I know LG is aware of the problem, because when I called the manufacturer, the salesman admitted that people were having that problem. I want a refund. I will have to buy a new dryer. By the way, one of the bars inside the drum fell off. Now, I will have to call a repair man, stay at home all day to wait for him to come look at it, order a part and then when it comes in, I will have to stay home all day to wait for him to come back and fix it. I am so sick of spending my energy on this dryer.

I purchased an LG dishwasher for my newly renovated kitchen, it was professional installed the first of May right before the final acceptance of the renovation. The plumbers tested the dishwasher and all appeared ok, I never had a chance to even use it once. On May 9th I walked into the kitchen to find three inches of water in the kitchen and dining/living rooms, with water pouring out from the dishwasher. It was inspected by the factory rep from LG that a clip on one end of water hose was missing and determined this was a factory defect. Since there was extensive damage to three Persian rugs floating in water, furniture and areas behind the newly installed cabinets I filed a claim with LG and after 4 months they still have not made a reasonable offer to reimburse me for the damages their defective product caused. Very very poor customer service. Will never purchase another LG product and would not recommend their products to anyone.

LG gaskets for French door model never sealed properly when I bought a few years ago. The gaskets would sometimes keep door from closing completely, but light and warning beeper would deactivate. Many times we would come back to refrigerator finding one door slightly ajar. LG help desk said to firmly close it and this was due to a tight, but normal fit. They were no help. Now, the top door gaskets have torn on both sides. LG said it has been over 1 year and I am s.o.l. They said there have not been any recalls and it has never been a problem. I went to appliance store and every make & model of refrigerators including LG had a new design of the gasket with a flap on top and bottom of gasket. LG said that my refrigerator gaskets can be replaced, but they are the original design. I contacted one of the certified LG repair service and they gave me a quote of $250 to replace gaskets. When I checked online, other owners of LG models like mine have had similar problems. I ordered both gaskets for $74 shipping included and installed them myself after viewing a YouTube demo. It was really easy and took about 15 minutes. Dont bother with LG customer service, it is a waste of time. LG does not mean Life is Good. It means Lucky Gold Star and you really need the luck for this appliance because quality & customer service has been deleted.

We originally purchased our LG LRE3061BD range in September of 2017. Within a week of owning it the cooktop cracked. We called to get a replacement but being as it was a newer model the replacement tops were backordered several months. Going several months without a stove would not work as we are a house of 5 and I need to be able to feed our littles. We went out and purchased another one of the same model as all of our appliances were a matching set.Now fast forward to today and our cooktop is cracked AGAIN. There was no moment where we saw it crack. We went to the stove which was off at the time and saw the crack. I have owned several cooktops over the years and have never had the glass crack before. Now Ive had the same model crack twice in two years. I called LG and they informed me that it was no longer under warranty. They also told us that there is a recall on this particular cooktop for the burners not working properly. After hanging up and researching the replacement part I called LG back. If Im going to Shell out another 350.00 for a replacement cooktop I want the recall fixed as I dont know if this could be what is causing the glass to crack. When I call back I speak to someone else who now tells me there is no recall on this model. I dont understand how in 5 minutes there is such a drastic change in the information Im being given. I ask to speak to a supervisor and I am placed on hold. The man gets back on and says that he spoke with his supervisor and has escalated the call and a supervisor will call me back. I asked when they will be calling and he says that it will be 24-48 hours for the message to get to the supervisor and for them to call me back. I explained to him that this would not work as I either need to order a replacement now or go get yet another new stove to be able to cook for my littles. He says it takes that long for the message to get to the supervisor.I explained to him that in this day and age with email and phones it does not take 48 hours for a message to get to someone. He puts me on hold again and tells me he spoke with his supervisor again and he will review the information and call me back in a few minutes. That was almost an hour ago. We shall see if they call back and if it goes anywhere. I would not recommend purchasing this product. I believe the small triangles in the glass are playing a toll on the structural integrity of the glass. This is the only difference between the cooktops I have owned previously and the two that have now cracked. I am not hard on my appliances and it breaking twice in two years is unacceptable.

I have the same problem with the moldy smell. I had a service guy in today and I am going to follow his advise and see what happens. The washer is already smelling better! His advise; First, he adjusted the front feet so the machine sloped slightly back so the front gasket drains fully, then he showed me how to drain the washer by using the dials (no one explained this to me!). Turn on machine, dont touch the main dial, go to spin speed button and press it. Display should read 13 minutes, then start washer. This will completely drain any standing water! Good luck **. He also recommended to use half a cup dish washing detergent in the drum, wash on full hot cycle. Do this at your own discretion, I am trying this tonight!

This washer goes off kilter on any load that doesnt have exactly the same weight items in it. You cant wash jeans and tee shirts or flannels, even if you balance the jeans. A small load of like items works ok, but not much else. Large loads never fully agitate. Only the bottom of the load gets moved. The washer spends more time rebalancing itself than washing. Its the compressor! I has to call a certified LG repair service and they have ordered the new part, said it will take 7-10 days to get. So hopefully by the end of next week it will arrive. In the meantime after reading all of these complaints I have called NBC News Better Get Bacquero and am also filing a complaint with the District Attorney in NYS. I suggest that everyone who has these issues (there seem to be over 1900 of us) do the same thing. I chose to purchase an LG refrigerator over other brands because this brand had what I was looking for at the time. LG has met my expectations. I would still consider purchasing an LG brand, but I would consider getting a different style. The features that I like most about the refrigerator is that it has a built in freezer, as well as an ice dispenser and water dispenser. I like to be able to have my fridge produce ice rather than going to buy ice or having to make it with a tray. The features that I dislike about the refrigerator is that after a while, the freezer component becomes very noisy when you open it. Another feature that I dislike would be that the ice dispenser becomes very frozen and the ice gets stuck together and I have to break off the ice pieces individually.

I bought the refrigerator July 2016 plus a 5 year warranty. The first year the water flow from the in-door water was very slow. I had to call for service and they fixed it. Now July of 2019 (3 years) the whole refrigerator stopped working. Customer service is a joke. Ive called customer service three times, speaking to three different reps. The first one walked me through a reset and literally said that she guaranteed me that would fix it. She said check in eight hours. I did and it was not working. This was Friday and they are closed for the weekend. I spoke to another rep the first of the next week and he said that it would take until the following Monday for a tech to look at it to diagnose. That will be the ninth day without a refrigerator and freezer. He told me to prepare to be without a refrigerator for another two weeks after the tech makes the diagnosis and orders the parts. That will make 23 days from the time I reported. I spoke to a third rep to find out how to get reimbursed for the loss of $1500 in food. She said she could only authorize a $100 reimbursement. I recently looked at the current reviews and realized everyone is experiencing this same problem. I will never buy an LG product again.

I wouldnt recommend anyone buy an LG product after what my husband & I have been through. We bought the refrigerator in 2007 and have probably had Sears out to work on it at least 12 times. We kept paying for the repair agreement because it became obvious very quickly that it was a LEMON! We have had the motor go out once and lost all the food in it. They have replaced the side of the door with the dispenser on it once...the motherboard 7 times. We lost all the food in it again a few months ago. Today was the third time in three weeks they have come out and arent sure what the problem is. It just stops running and you have to unplug it, wait a few minutes and plug it back in. LG always tells the technician to replace something on it and it never works. Today they said to put on another door & a new power cord. We have stopped storing meat in the freezer because we are afraid the refrigerator will break down again and we will lose it all. We store it in the 30 year old refrigerator in our basement that has never had to be worked on! We paid a lot of money for this refrigerator and could have bought at least one more with all the money we have paid in repair agreements. There should be no question that we should get a new refrigerator. But they dont want to do that because now its old! They spend more money fixing this than they would giving us a replacement. It makes no sense at all! If you are looking for a new refrigerator I suggest you steer clear of LG. I wont own anything again with LG on it!

Then after customer service advised us we needed to show PROOF of purchase. After 45 minutes on HOLD we were at that time advised they will only allow $150.00. No one ever explained this at all. Home Depot said after 48 hours its the manufacturer. LG is now saying its the parts A&E appliance specialist that should have deemed it not repairable but LG said it has to break 3 times... What a nightmare... Thanks for ruining my Thanksgiving. Hope everyone at LG enjoyed cooking for their families!! I gave them one star because you had to choose.

So I bought an LG Top Loading Washing Machine, Model # WT1101CW in June of 2014. After about 6 weeks the washing machine started getting uneven loads, on small batches, normal-sized batches, even just a table cloth and placemats. This now happens about 60% of the loads, if not more often. It fills with TONS of WATER multiple times in an attempt to balance an already balanced load (I take several minutes now to load the washer to make sure its perfect) and has skyrocketed our water bill. High efficiency my rear end. I was in contact with LG and they said its normal. Normal to have a high efficiency washer raise my water bill by 300%? NO thanks. NEVER buying an LG Washer ever again. Can I please have an old-fashioned, non-energy star washer that just works and cleans and has no computer parts in it?

I have purchased lg appliances with extended warranty from brick. Next thing you know, the porcelain lining in the stove cracked and peeled off (right the first use of oven). Later on I couldnt shut off largest element. Tech guy came and replaced control module!!! Except the new control module doesnt work well. When I switch largest element on, the number of intensity shows in two windows!? LG fridge - seals on doors broke, rollers for drawers fell off. Plastic inside is so fragile (you better not use it). It breaks on contact. LG dishwasher with steam function -- whole motor assembly was replaced due to busted bearing. How long new assy will work? Only appliance GOD can tell! Today I called LG DIRECT. They said, You are on your own, buddy!!! Good luck!!!

We had this dishwasher for 11 mos before we noticed cracks along the top of the co tell panel. LG claims that this is surely cosmetic akin to a scratch or dent. I disagree, this is a poorly designed unit. Lowes actually did not want to cover this cosmetic defect, the repairman got it covered due to the cracks allowing moisture into the controls. Fast forward 3 mos, the newly replaced control panel now has cracks the same as the previous panel. The plastic used on these panels is apparently defective or the unit produces more heat than the panel can withstand. This is an engineering issue and not enough testing was done to notice the apparent heat issues. I am not the only person who has had this same problem, but yet LG does not want to admit it has issues.

I bought my LG French door refrigerator in 2011 and its pretty much dead now. The ice maker was always flakey but we lived with it. The gasket doors started hanging up and we lived through it. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Ordered new ice maker but found out that it was not making ice because it was not cold enough. Cleaned the coils and it just slowly got worse. Ordered a temp sensor and the main pcb. Tried those parts but still not cooling properly. Called LG. I figured it was the compressor because I read that LG was using bad compressors. Paid a certified LG service provider 600.00 in labor to replace compressor.Called Friday and by Tuesday they were replacing the compressor, wow Im feeling good about now. Two guys 4 or 5 hrs later and calls to LG and they were told they needed the main pcb. I gave them the new pcb I had ordered and the same problem persisted. The compressor shuts down after 15 minutes. They said they would have to order another one from LG and come back. After not hearing for a couple of days I called them and ask them What was up? They said that they ordered but because LG was having so many problems with these compressors they were back ordered and they had no idea when a new compressor would arrive. They said not their fault call LG and ask them.Call LG but they were useless. They said they were not having any issues with bad compressors and dont believe anything you read on the internet. I asked What about the service provider? Is he lying to me? LG responds that it does not take much to become a warranty service provider just ask to be one. No training. Wow! LG pretty much said 7 years is the lifespan of their products and then they become legacy and put at back of the bus. They will provide parts if they can get them. I own a LG55 inch tv that fail after about 5 years, found a main board out of Nova Scotia and was able to repair that. If it wasnt for that it would in the trash. So here is the problem I paid the service provider to replace the compressor and LG provided the part but if they have to come back to do it again who pays for that? LG can send another compressor but theyre not paying for the service. The service provider had two guys for about 4 to 5 hrs. Why would the service provider work for free? I can see this evolving into cant get parts from LG and LG saying they have no issues supplying good parts forever and never repairing my fridge. Thank god I did not but an LG exploding phone. It took them forever to recall those phones!

The good part about LG is that they do try to present a customer service initiative to folks who post on social media. Sadly, it is a hollow effort. As anyone can read on this site, the response is either a really poor AI or worse, a person who types the same thing. Buying a $2,000+ refrigerator that makes excessive noise is unarguably a significant issue. LG claims this noise is normal, and I dispute that. Compressor noise that can be heard in other rooms is not normal. While LG did send a technician out to assess this issue, that was inconclusive, and the best LG can offer is to send another one out. But if the noise - the worst Ive experienced with any refrigerator for decades - is considered normal, why bother. When buying an LG refrigerator, be sure to buy the retailers extended warranty that allows a return after 3 (or whatever) attempts to repair.

My LG dryer will not spin, it just hums when start is pushed. It turns out that LG poorly designed the motor. The switch on the motor is not being made because some idiot put hard springs on soft aluminum and they wore through and fell off. The only thing can be done is replace the motor at a cost of $350. Also, the thing does not dry that well either when it is working. Dont by LG-- piece of junk.

I purchased a brand-new LG refrigerator on March 1, 2012 for approximately $3,000.00. On July 12, I arrived home to find the refrigerator making a very loud noise. I opened our freezer to find that all of its contents were completely defrosted and sitting in a pool of water. I contacted PC Richards where we purchased it from, and since we purchased an extended warranty with them, they sent someone to fix it for us a week later. Since all of our food had been defrosted, it had gone bad in the extreme heat. A few days before the incident, we had spent our paycheck on stocking the freezer with our meals for the next 2 weeks. We had spent about $150-200 on meats, fish, frozen fruit, frozen vegetables, ice pops, etc. We were now left with no food to eat and very little money. PC Richards informed us that the product was defective from the manufacturer because the freezer fan had failed. I contacted LG, asking to be reimbursed for the $150 (even though, it was more) in groceries that we had lost. I had purchased this machine in March. Never did I imagine in July that something would happen to it or that it would break without any of our doing at all. We spent $3000 on this machine. It is so unfair that we should lose all that money in groceries for no reason. It is unfair and bad business. LG was very rude and insisted there was nothing they could do for us. I dont see how that is possible, seeing as it was their machine. They are a multi-million dollar company, and they put a defective unit on the market. It is only right I be reimbursed for what I lost.

I love my LG washing machine. Works well. BUT it is the very first washing machine I have ever had that rusted where the soap, fabric softner and bleach is dispensed. I contacted LG and they never returned my call or contacted me in any way. At this rate my machine will rust out before anything else goes wrong.

I went to Best Buy, and I liked the LG refrigerator so I purchased it. The quality is very bad though, and I’m dealing with them for long time. It has an issue for more than three months and still they didn’t resolve the problem. For three times, they told me they’re gonna give me a replacement. They said they needed a proof of purchase and all this stuff, which I gave them three times, but still, they didn’t resolve the issue. I’m not gonna buy LG products ever in my life again for sure. And I will put my reviews about my experience on all the sites. Go with something else.
