Initially the LG double oven and 5 burner stove top looked amazing. It did just what we wanted it to do during the holidays. The super boiler burner is great. The double oven did everything we needed for the holiday dinners. The only problem is the burners turn on (Gas) with the least amount of pressure on the knobs. Other reviews have express the same danger and LG does not have a fix according to other reviews. I went to my local hardware store and bought springs that I cut to length and placed them behind the knobs to provide the need for more pressure to activate the ignition. Its a matter of time before clothing or other items get caught on fire. Especially with the Super Boiler burner.

LG has a compressor issue! Our fridge is less than 11 weeks old and the freezer stopped working causing food to defrost and ice tray to melt with water on our hardwood floors. It has been 2 weeks now with daily phone calls to LGs call center. Call center DO NOT follow up on return calls, they book technicians that can not work of the fridge model and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that they do not take calls??? Their most common line from the call center is Im so sorry. I have heard that comment every day for the past 2 weeks and still no fixes and now they have to talk to their technical group. If you are running a call center make your emplyees can solve an issue and not just note-takers. We purchased all major appliances from Trail Appliances (Edmonton) and they indicated they had no complaints with service from LG so beware as once the sale goes through they are not concerned with a customer.

We bought an LG front loading washing machine from Sears one year ago. It began making more noise on the spin cycle than a jack hammer, and almost vibrated its way out into the hallway. We called Sears repair for service. That was our second mistake! They sent a repairman only to have him make a list of parts totaling more than the original price of the machine. I asked why they dont just replace the machine and his comment was, We dont replace machines! What a joke! So a week later, an entire pallet of boxes filled with parts shows up at the front door. A few days later, two repairmen showed up to put humpty dumpty back together again. Well, that wasnt going to happen that day because, much to our surprise, the repairman needed more parts to fix the problem. So he ordered more parts and we waited another week for him to show up with his magic wand. I tried to discuss the issue with a manager but none wanted to talk with an actual customer. Imagine that! Its no wonder Sears is struggling to avoid bankruptcy. With nonexistent customer service, poor quality of appliances and zero accountability, the end is certainly coming. I only wish it had happened before we bought our appliances from them. NEVER AGAIN!!

The large right front element on my LG model LSC5622WS electric range turned on by itself and will not shut off. The stove was purchased in Sept of 2007 and the warranty has ran out. I noticed on the internet that there are other people complaining about the same thing. LG customer service was very rude when I notified them. I had to unplug the stove. I cannot use it, fire hazard!

It was a beautiful range in the store however, once it was in my home, the hell began. I purchased the LRE3075 stainless steel convection range at the Boynton Beach Home Depot on November 12, 2009 and got the extended warranty.Eight months in, the front large burner melted then began melting the underside of the cook top. I got it replaced under LG warranty. Another 6 months in, the same thing happened again, only this time the burner was on and could not be turned off. I had to plug the range out for it to go off. The top and the circuit board were replaced. On February 12, 2012, the same exact burner came on by itself destroying dinner. The saving grace was the smoke detector. Once again, the control panel did not respond. I had to turn of the breaker to the stove.Even after the stove cooled down and the breaker was turned on, the control panel did not respond. I am totally scared for my familys safety with this stove. It finally responded after several attempts. I have to turn off the breaker after each use just as a precaution. What about the warranty, you ask? Talk about the royal runaround. LG denies there is a problem with the stove and wont replace the it. Home Depot wont take it back since LG should be the one who covers it.The extended warranty company will only replace the circuit board but the glass top is at LG s discretion. Today is March 15, 2012 and the stove still has not been repaired as yet even with the extended warranty. The LG dishwasher purchased at the same time has had the motor replaced because it burnt out. I would not recommend any LG product my worst enemy. I will be purchasing new stove ASAP. Needless to say, it will not be LG.

I purchased my LG side-by-side refrigerator from Best Buy in October 2016. Initially I was very pleased with the unit, no problems until late June 2018. The temperature dropped significantly and the freezer no longer kept food frozen. I was informed after placing a service call that the compressor ceased to work and other updates were needed to the refrigerator. One year later in July 2019 the freezer and refrigerator are again working insufficiently. I have lost a ridiculous amount of food in both the freezer and refrigerator. I am again using a cooler, buying ice frequently. I contacted the LG customer service department this past Sunday July 21, 2019 to inform staff of a malfunctioning refrigerator and to complain that this was the second incident in three years. I was given an appointment for July 25, 2019. My husband took the day off of work in order to receive the repairman. After no one showed, my husband contacted LG customer service department and was informed that the appointment had been canceled. We did not cancel the appointment. LG customer service informed us after some time that A& E Factory Service, their contractor, canceled the appointment and did not inform LG nor did they inform us of the cancellation. Eventually my husband was given an appointment for August 5th 2019, two-weeks from the originally scheduled appointment. He explained the challenges in retaining food, money lost, and that we have a five year old daughter who had clumpy milk that had to be discarded... the next available appointment was moved to August 1, 2019. I phoned yesterday, July 25, 2019 explained the above and inquired about the earliest available appointment. After being on the phone for twenty minutes I was informed that the earliest possible appointment is still August 1, 2019 however it is not confirmed, therefore I do not have a concrete appointment as of yet. I was told that someone will call us to confirm the actual August 1, 2019 appointment next week. I am very disappointed. I am very dissatisfied. I will not purchase another LG refrigerator again.Jacqueline **

I purchased an LG refrigerator double door, bottom freezer ice maker and its non working after only 6 months and have called repeatedly for service... its under warranty. They first sent someone out that doesnt even work on refrigerators and now going into week 3 saying they will call in 2 business days to schedule. And the more I called its now 3 to 5 business days just to get an appointment set which hasnt happened yet! Ive thrown out hundreds of dollars in food! I never have bought LG in the past. Always stuck with Samsung and I should have not ever switched brands... lesson learned. I feel like since they cant get a service person out here a full replacement should be in order and when I said I DID want to do a survey I was never given that call. When I told the man on the phone I wanted to make a complaint... he said, Maam other than it not working what do you need to complain about? And did not send me to another extension to even do that or take a formal complaint himself. What the heck is with this company. I will NEVER buy this brand again in any product...

On 10/12/2015 we purchased a 46 LG 30 CF 4 DR Refrigerator from Sears. It was delivered and set up around the 21st of the same month. Once set up we noticed scratches in both doors and a couple weeks later were replaced. Because we were having things completed in kitchen, it was unplugged and not used till the beginning of January 2016 at which point everything was fine with this $3000.00 plus refrigerator. On September 1st we got home from work and opened the refrigerator and noticed that everything in there was hot. So being a holiday weekend, we waited till Monday to call Sears where it was purchased to have a repair person come to fix it. A week later the man came and said it was the compressor and he would have to order the parts. Sounds good until we are told it would be close to three weeks to get the parts. OK so we wait the night before the repair man is to come we call and ask him if he received the compressor as we had not. He calls the parts place and they are having trouble finding the parts and it will be another 3 to 4 weeks to get the part in if they even come in. At this point we have been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have been told it could be another month. So we were so mad that we called LG directly and explained what had happened and was told by a customer service rep if we got our receipt showing when we purchased it they would replace it. Ok on the phone for hours getting everything they need the next day we scan everything to them and are told it is our problem and they will not help us. That was a 1 year and 10 month old item. We explained that it was not used until 4 months after we purchased it. However they did not care. LG has the rudest people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We also went back to Sears and was told they could not help us either as they have to wait on the parts and they are not sure when they will get them. Ok so you go out and purchase an appliance and it is not to last over 1 year? This is crazy. All the reviews that I have read also say that it is the compressor that is the problem so at this point no one can help any of us with this problem. This does not seem too fair. Also, the stores that are selling the LG products knowing that there are all of these complaints and service calls for the same thing. How can companies still sell these items that only work for a year or two and then tell you you’re on your own. LG is not standing by their products and this is very sad that they are allow to get away with this. If this was a car dealer there would be recalls and the problem would be fixed for free, why is LG allow to get away with this and do this to honest working people. We are asking for help from LG and would appreciate hearing from someone who cares about Customer Service not selling poor products and then telling us they can’t help.

This is the WORST appliance I have ever owned! Second day after receiving it we had to call repair out due to ice forming in freezer. So much ice in freezer we couldnt pull out the drawers. LG said it was a design flaw and fixed it. Fast forward. Luckily we had taken the extended warranty out for 5 years. In the 5 years we owned it before the warranty was up we had to have it repaired a total of 5 times with the last repair being the refrigerator totally stopped cooling. LG replaced the circuit board and said that should fix it. It didnt. They came back out and replaced the compressor. This fixed it but not totally. We were without a refrigerator for 1 full month. We had to turn the temperature lower than what it was actually cooling. I should have called them out again at that point but it was cooling. About a month after the warranty was out it stopped cooling to where it should be. Called repair again. They refused to work on it. Said they did everything they could do. Plus if it was the compressor again we would have to pay for labor. Also if it was the control panel, they only have refurbished parts because they dont make that anymore. We were concerned about it not being fixed after paying a bunch for labor so decided to have it taken to the dump after only 5 years and purchased a different brand that is made in the USA. We originally paid $2800 for this piece of crap!

Our compressor and coil failed on our 4 1/2 year old fridge. We bought the fridge from Lowes Canada with a 4 year extended warranty. About 2 years ago the fridge stopped working, all the food spoiled. We called the repair company and they fixed it. Just recently the fridge died. LG said they would send out a repair person in about a week! All the food spoiled. LG said the repair man would call us to schedule when he would be coming. The day before he was supposed to come, LG cancelled our appointment without telling us and said they need the repair man elsewhere and they would reschedule the appointment for TWO weeks later. Who does that to their customers? We called Lowes and freaked out. They sent over another repairman who said the compressor and coil were pooched. 3 weeks we waited for him to come back to fix it. In the mean time we purchased another fridge to put in the basement so we could get back to normality (not LG Brand). The fridge is fixed with new compressor and coil but the compressor will not stop running. LG and Lowes have both washed their hands and said there is nothing else they can do! I’ll I can hear in my house I’d the constant hum of the fridge all the time. I have never had such a bad experience with LG and Lowes Canada in my life. Too many apologies and no action. Talk is cheap! Stand behind what you build and stand behind what you sell. I am a small business owner and would never treat my customer that way. Brutal. Thinking about legal action to hold these companies accountable.

Barbara of Mountain View, NY, I couldnt agree with you more. I also had to deal with Willie at LG! The stove was part of my kitchen remodel. Within its first year, the entire motherboard had to be replaced only after they tried to replace a segment of the board only. While the repairman is installing the new board, he notices the oven door has unnoticeably come out of its frame at the bottom and decides to tighten it and alert us to that fact. In its 3rd year, while baking, all we heard from the next room was glass exploding then glass raining onto my new hardwood floor. After picking up our jaws in disbelief, we quickly snapped several pics of the damage and sent it to LG along with the original sales receipt. At first they wouldnt pay for an investigator to come out but then did so. The investigator turned out to be some subcontractor Joe Schmo who took 2 pics and then left only for Willie to tell me that the board had decided that this was not the fault of the stove but mine! We were left just completely disgusted by their demeanor and their so-called internal investigation with their engineers, not to mention their lack of concern that anyone could have been hurt. So LG products of any sort are now on our boycott list.

I purchased LG stainless double-door bottom freezer refrigerator model #lfy
I purchased LG stainless double-door bottom freezer refrigerator model #lfy25980st in 2009. I purchased a two-year extended warranty on the item. From the first six months, the ice maker and water dispenser worker poorly. Servicemen were out several times attempting to repair it. Finally they replaced it. I woke up several times after that to water all over my kitchen floor where water was running from dispenser. Then in September of 2011, I came home from vacation to find all the food in the freezer thawed and milk spoiled in fridge. In December that same year, the food on top shelf of fridge was frozen. I was told that I had the vents blocked with too much food. In 2012, the digital lock signal on the door panel would make sounds turning on and off the lock which turns off the water and ice dispenser. It made this noise all night. At this time, my warranty was up and I was using my home warranty plan at $55.00 per visit with a visit sometimes twice a month. I lost food at $400.00 a second time. The service men came out, changed the freezer sensor twice, replaced freezer door on unit and changed the motherboard in back of unit. It still didnt work properly. My home warranty company called LG, spoke to a gentleman named Alex who deemed it unrepairable on March 29th, 2014 with a wiring problem. I was told to send in my proof of purchase and repair history and they would replace or discount another one. Today, 5/8/2014, they have done nothing. As a matter of fact, I was told that since I had a warranty company, they would do nothing. The company only covers $500.00 per year on any covered item and they had already spent that trying to repair it. I would think LG could make a unit that works, not just looks good. Not even two good years. No one should ever buy LG products; I know that is it for my family!!

I only wish I read these reviews before purchasing my LG products in November 2010. I have had several problems with the seal on my washer leaking water. After several attempts of replacing the seal, I finally had the door replaced. Just yesterday, I found a crack in the drum of the dryer. After speaking with LG, and discussing the number of complaints registered about the drum problems, I was told it would be an $89.00 service call with a possible $250.00 replacement fee plus tax. I will never purchase another LG product.

We purchased the LG front loading washing machine four years ago. It does vibrate but not like a Bronco. It does smell sometimes but we bleach out the machine once a month or so. It does not clean our clothes very well. I have to soak my shirts and pants in a water/ammonia solution before putting them in the washer to get a start on cleaning them properly. I guess if we use high-powered stink detergent, we would not notice a not quite clean smell of freshly laundered clothes, but we dont want artificial stink on our clothes. When my mother sells her house, Im going to trade our inadequate machine for her 15-year old Maytag top loader with the suds saver. We would warn anyone about purchasing this washer. I had no idea that so many people had those amounts of problems with this product. Wish wed read here first. It figures that LG is a Republican supporter, lots of big stink to cover up even bigger stink.

I agree with what everyone has to say about these new washing machines. I bought the LG 1101 washer 2 years ago. Chose this model as consumer reports gave it a raving review. After doing a couple loads I felt that the machine wasnt washing the clothes very well - white streaks on dark clothing, dry spots on clothes, not smelling clean at all so I would watch how much water would go into a load - not much! I pulled out a grey dress shirt after a full wash cycle & could see that it was completely dry in certain areas! I called LG & asked them if they were the right people to call or should I have called Sears (where I purchased it). Of course they said I made the right call as they would send a repairman out & because I had the machine for only 2 weeks. I should have called Sears because then I could have returned the machine!Anyways repairman said that the machine is doing what its suppose to do - senses load & puts water accordingly. I showed him a picture of the shirt & he said he understood. He has heard the complaint many times. He said to get around the not enough water issue was to open up washer so it thinks youre adding more clothes so then it will add more water. What a waste of time having this machine is! I have been doing this with every wash load but sometimes I forget because I dont have time to wait for it to start filling. I now put about a bucket full of water (about 10 litres) into the machine after putting the clothes in & then start up the machine. Pretty pathetic that I have to do this to a brand new machine. I absolutely hate my new LG washing machine. Wish I had never purchased it. Its really too bad as I was so excited about getting it as I had never owned a new washing machine before.

One morning 18 months after purchase while trying to make lunches and manage the usual morning routines of all work of families with kids, found all food soft or going soft in freezer!! Food in fridge was cool but not usual cold. Temp readings still said 0 for freezer and 37 for fridge... I called dealer who sold it to us, of course, Not his problem. Called LG who initially insisted I had a smart diagnosis feature which I did not, another 20 min wasted, finally a repairman comes over. Spends 10 min and tells us it will be almost $400 to fix for a new fan and compressor???? What??? I just bought this thing!! LG, you must be kidding me... not buying into your company anymore. May 2018... My almost 2 year LG French door in black stainless steel stopped cooling. Find out because there was water all over the floor from the ice melting. Lost all my food from fridge and freezer. LG replaced the compressor which lasted 4 days and went out again so of course I lost more food. Had another technician come out and took apart the inside of the refrigerator and found there was a leak. He ordered the new part and LG contacted him and told him it wouldnt be in until the end of July. LG gave me option that they would pay for the remainder value of the refrigerator and deduct the years of use or I would have to keep waiting for the part. I opted to wait for the part because they were only offering me a couple hundred dollars for an almost $3,000 refrigerator. The technician knows that this is an ongoing problem that he has dealt with with many customers around MN. I finally have my refrigerator working as of July 14... Thats 2 months without. Now my worry is for how long??? Another issue is the black stainless steel finish is peeling off of the whole set (microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator). Tiny pieces are coming off in different areas. I dont know how they can get away with this???

My fridge stopped cooling the night before Thanksgiving. It is still running and the light come on...but not cooling...food lost! I called our Home warranty. Technician to come out, he was there within 3 hours because they consider problems with a refrigerator and emergency. He said it is a compressor leak and there is no Freon left in the appliance. Due to this, he cannot fix so I needed to call LG because it should be under warranty.I called LG first thing in the morning on Friday after Thanksgiving, and they said that they would notify a repair tech to call us and schedule a time to fix the appliance if it was fixable. Monday still no word from them. I called LG back and they said none of the repair shops around me had accepted the order so they would move me to to an escalation group to get scheduled who would call me in 3-5 days...still I have no fridge. I did now get an email saying that they scheduled a consultation with a technician for next Friday...this is where they will come and see what is wrong with my fridge so they can order parts. I explained to them after waiting on hold for 25 minutes...I have notes from a technician that you can use to fix my fridge when they come. They will not do that. Once they order parts, those will take a week or longer to get to my house, then you have to reschedule the tech... This is ridiculous! I am going to be out a refrigerator for a MONTH! And this is an appliance I spent $2200 only 2.75 years ago. The customer service was no help and frankly not that empathetic to the fact that we are a large family and had no fridge over Thanksgiving, let alone now. Very disappointed! This is unacceptable!

I purchased an LG washer and matching dryer in April of 2014 from Best Buy. I was drawn to it because of the see through glass design. I thought they were cool looking. The salesman pitched it as a top of the line product, I fell for it :-( I cry every time I start to do laundry. My clothes NEVER come out clean. Some of it comes out of the washer dry! This is the worst purchase I have ever made. My old washer did a perfect job and I wish I hadnt purchased this crap. Im out $1600.00 for something I thought would be amazing. I spent a ton of money for dirty clothes. Best Buy came out to repair it, they said the motherboard needs to be replaced. After reading these reviews Im not hopeful at all. Dont fall for LG smart technology. This washer is crap!

We have a 3 1/2 year old LG refrigerator (French door, door in door) that we had installed in our new house. While I love the features, the repairs have been a nightmare. We are currently on our 4th compressor. Each time we have been 1-3 weeks without a refrigerator. We ended up having to buy a little one to get us through. With the installation of the last compressor, our warrantly was extended. The current compressor is supposed to be one of the “new improved” ones. After about 6 months, we lost cooling in the refrigerator and freezer. Part of our meat defrosted (we took pictures). The ice melted in the ice machine. There was no sound coming from the compressor for about a day. Then it started working again. 2 1/2 days later, we had ice. We called repair and it was going to take a week for “their” repairman to even make the first visit. This company had terrible reviews and no way to contact them. We asked to be changed to another certified repair company. We waited 5 days for them. When they inspected the refrigerator, since it had started working again, they could not find anything wrong with it other than high pressure in a line and told us we had to pay the bill. So now we are still on compressor 4 (5 would kick in the lemon law), it stops working when it pleases, fails to consistently keep our refrigerator/freezer compartment at the selected temperature (can be off by 10 degrees), and because the problem is intermittent, we have to pay for the repairman to come if it starts working again before they get there. Love the LG features but will never have another LG refrigerator.

I have the smell issues with my LG front-loading washer and Im sure, after seeing the pictures from another case, I will be dismantling my machine this weekend (with pictures inside and out including the moldy drawer that is supposed to clean my clothing) to get rid of black mold that is most definitely making my family and me sick. I will be using extreme care to sanitize the unit and my home from this negligent company that cares nothing for its grievous mistakes that so many have had to endure. Shame on you, LG for being so big and creating a problem you clearly knew about and do nothing for the customers who made you who you are! I hope that some lawyer who owns one will see this forum and take you on. Ill be glad to display my findings with 1080p HQ video and 18 gig pictures with a bag full of what I find growing in my $2,000 fungus-growing washer that you built. P.S. I forgot to mention the fact that I have to flip the breaker each and every time I wash a load of clothes for my washer to power up! Thanks for nothing, grrr!

Remodel kitchen, replaced all appliances with LG top of line Stainless items. Within a few months the knobs start melting, after LG repairman visited a few times and attempted to repair the stove to no avail. I got the run around after contacting Home Depot where I purchased the items, the manager got involved and the range was replaced. The problem continued with the second range. I did get a couple set and then LG stated they would send one more set, now that that set has melted I just cant afford the high cost of another set of control knobs. Its really sad that you invest so much money buying someone products and they pretty much NOT worth the time you spend researching for the best products. I had an LG washer for about three and half years. The washer stopped spinning. I called LG for the 10-year warranty and was told that a technician would come out and check the washer. I was told it would be around $100 to diagnose the problem. I told LG that the motor was slipping, it should be covered under their 10-year warranty. They said I would still have to pay a technician to come out to tell me what I already knew. I argued with them many times about the problem. I even asked them to send someone out for a courtesy call; they would not . They finally gave me the number for Parts. They found the part for the motor rotor assembly. They opened the back of the washer, undid the mounting bolt, removed the rotor, and sure enough, the rotor assembly gear was made of cheap plastic. It was strange because the new one with a metal center was stripped out. This not only should be covered by the warranty, but also, a defective product should be covered by the company. The whole job of replacing this part was about 15 minutes and $75 in parts. I have photos of the part being removed with its stripped center and the new one being installed.

He said he has repaired oodles of them. Even though the parts are covered for 10 years the cost for labor is $550. Then, the local technician tried to fix it, but they couldnt. Finally, I was told they couldn’t do it and LG was going to replace the refrigerator. I called LG and they told me that they would have to send their own technician. That took almost two months and finally, the LG technician came to my house and changed a part.At that period, I lost a lot of food and the medications of my mom and my son. I bought every day from the store so I lost almost $1,500. I followed up with LG and they told me they were going to compensate me for 1,500. After the refrigerator was fixed, they called me and told me they can pay only $250 reimbursements food loss. Right now, the refrigerator is working but my main concern is who’s going to pay for my loss. I have too many problems and at the same time, I got a refrigerator problem. It’s too much headache.

Purchased refrigerator in 2012, LFX31925ST. Start with pros. Purchase for the large space and front features. I have purchased many of LG products. The customer service is ok, but they dont stand by their product... From day one I had an issue with the ice maker followed by the motor make noise. Not to mention the glide server drawer stopped sliding, it seems like the cheap plastic wheel broke off. Well they came out to service motor, but said ice maker was not part the warranty! They replaced the motor, but two years later the unit stopped cooling and freezing. Guess what?? The motor stopped. I called for the same issue. They want charge for service $400. I had the product for only 5 years and already is giving out like its 20 years old. What makes it worst is they dont stand by their product. Dont be fooled by their 10-year warranty. It only covers parts, they will squeeze cost out of the service charge.

We purchased an LG large capacity washer and dryer set 4 years ago. A few months ago, we noticed the so common thump, thump, thump. I looked inside the dryer and noticed the crack in the rear weld of the drum. I contacted LG. It took numerous calls over 3 weeks before I finally got someone who admitted that the drum had a 5 year warranty because of all the broken welds. Why wasnt this recalled? Why in the hell did it take me 3 weeks before someone owned up to this P.O.S. They put me in touch with Tanstel electronics for the repair. Tanstel tells me they will have to order the drum and will call me when it gets in. They say it should be in in about 2 weeks. 3 weeks later, I call Tanstel and am told, Yeah, the drum is sitting here, been here for a while, when do you want us to come out? Are you kidding me, why didnt they call me when it came in???? Tanstel comes out to do the repair, costs $150. The next load we put in, we notice that if the machine says it is finished in 5 minutes. It keeps on doing this. Apparently, when they replaced the drum, they damaged the sensor that tells the machine when the load is dry. Tanstel comes out again, repairs the sensor and leaves. The sensor still isnt quite right but is better than before. It is now a month later, and my drum doesnt turn anymore. I can hear the motor turning and can smell the rubber band that is supposed to turn the drum burning. I have had it!! I will never purchase another LG item again. Please learn from all the complaints on this board. LG doesnt care about customer service! LG doesnt care about repeat business!

I dont have a complaint with where we bought the product. I have a huge problem with the product itself, an LG dishwasher LDF7810BB/LDF7810ST. What an absolute piece of junk! First of all, it will not dry the dishes without Jet Dry so youre married to that product for the life of the dishwasher. The wash cycles run up to three hours! I just ran a load that took three hours and three minutes to complete and 90% of the dishes need to be washed by hand. No, the spray arms are not clogged nor are the dishes caked with food. I believe you could put clean dishes in an LG dishwasher and they would come out dirty. Covered in food particles that have been distributed all over the dishes. I will never buy another LG appliance ever. What a rip-off!

I purchased my home in 2010 that came with new set of LG appliances. I am having nightmares with the LG gas stove (model: LRG30357ST). Within few months, one of the knobs cracked at the plastic insert. Now why on earth would you design a knob with a plastic insert to mesh with a metal shaft? I replaced this with a new one costing $80. After a few months, this one cracked again and I had to junk the knob as it was of no use. Now after a year, the rest of the 4 knobs have cracked too and I have to use a Gorilla SuperGlue to hold them together. Not sure how long they last. Calling the customer service is of no use as they redirected me to the parts department. Why on earth would I pay $400 ($80 times 5) for 4 knobs? I will be junking the gas range once the knobs become unusable. My advice to fellow consumers, be cautious when buying an LG product and make sure you have reviewed thoroughly the comments by other consumers. I will never buy an LG appliance going forward. By the way, my LG dishwasher had its door and motor replaced (fortunately LG covered that). The only original part is the frame.

We purchased an LG side-by-side refrigerator in 2011. The model was on sale. I wish I had seen the negative reviews here before purchasing! The ice maker often sticks (the water position). In the cube position we most often get crushed ice and few cubes. I find access to the on/off switch for the ice maker very inconvenient; a drawer - on which we keep ice cream containers - must be removed to reach the switch.. an awkward arrangement. And if we remove the ice drawer, getting the metal rod that protrudes from the back into the correct place can be difficult. Our experience hasnt been nearly as bad as many listed here, but I definitely would not recommend the LG to anyone.

We purchased new appliances from ABC Warehouse back in December of 2019. We chose LG due to the price and the aesthetics. We purchased a washer, dryer, fridge, two ovens, microwave, stovetop, hood and dishwasher. We were set to move into our home on Feb 7th of 2020. The last week of January we received all appliances except the hood vent and dryer. At this time, ABC said LG rep was not getting back to them and they had no time table on when the other two appliances would be delivered. Since the other appliances have been delivered, we have called 4 times to get some sort of answers and each time they either redirect us to ABC (who has tried contacting LG but has been unsuccessful) or they say the appliances will get there eventually... We have now been in our home for a month and unable to use our stovetop nor do any laundry. LG customer service has been horrible to work with as they are giving us no answers nor are they being friendly on the phone. I am extremely dissatisfied with LG and at this point I would not purchase LG appliances in the future nor recommend them to others.

We purchased this washer approximately 4 years ago. It just doesnt work and hasnt since we owned it. You constantly get an error code on the machine when washing. Cannot get through a complete cycle without an error. Had LG recommend repair service (All American Appliance Repair, Daytona, FL) and replaced motherboard for $250 this time. Forty-five days later, doing same thing each time we use it. Called All American and LG back to have it fixed again. All American says motherboard was only warrantied for 30 days but LG says its warrantied for 90 days. Cant get straight answer from either party. Never been so frustrated with an appliance and dont understand how we can let companies sell a product with a known defect without a recall to fix. If you google you will see the same issues. This is the first LG product I have owned. After owning a washer/dryer set
This is the first LG product I have owned. After owning a washer/dryer set for 10 years with no problems made by Frigidaire, the dryer stopped heating. I gave in and decided it was time to upgrade my set (did a lot of shopping around). I purchased the set on 1/28/2012 (WT5001CW - Top load washer & DLE5001W-Electric Dryer) from HHGregg, cost $1701.58. On July 14th of 2012, the washer just stopped mid cycle with no power (clothes still wet inside it). One servicer in the state of KY services LG and could only get to it on 7/25. Power board was fried (order parts will be 3-5 business days to get and install because LG wont overnight the parts unless I paid for it). So now, we are looking at 8/1/2012 for a repair (the washer has a foul mildew odor since it has been filled with water since 7/14). With two young kids and a husband who works outdoors, not doing laundry isnt an option; so I have to pay a laundromat to get my clothes done since sitting for hours isnt feasible with a 20-month-old. LG was awful and couldnt care less if their product is bad and couldnt care less about a clients situation (I was lied to four times about finding another servicer to get to it faster and finally told that I would have to go with the first one). I was offered a laundry reimbursement on 7/26 (after at least 6 phone calls last week), but that was just a maybe. Once the washer is fixed, I can submit the claim for that and wait and see. I am disappointed in the service and product that LG offers. I was so excited to get this new pair and use them, but now I wish I had spent the extra money and gone Whirlpool or Maytag. I will never own another LG product again. Maybe I should sell this pair and cut my losses and move on.

It is a front loader that is energy efficient. It was a reasonable price at the time compared to other washers available. I am not a fan of the upcharge for a color so we ended up with white. I also am not a huge fan of the way the water lines need to be cleaned out. If you dont leave the door wide open, it gets a funky moldy smell. I want it to be within my price range and large enough to do my familys laundry. I prefer name brands with reputations for quality and longevity. Regular repairs would make me flip. $850 and started having issues within 1 week this front load dryer (LG DLGX4371W). It has an option for bulk and advertises all these bells and whistle options but my old Whirlpool 13 year old dryer worked better I must say. Keep in mind I had professional install for the unit and vent and the problem is the unit, well maybe only mine? The dryer accumulates lint at the bottom of the lint bay eventually not allowing it be caught on the screen it comes with. This lint clogging at the bottom is a hazard and can cause fire. Even though the machine has sensors which may stop the unit before a fire thank God, but its brand new...why should I be dealing with this as it seems to me to be a DEFECT. Now I have to check the bottom of the lint bay and use a special connection to my vacuum to ensure its not clogging up and shutting off during every dry cycle which costs me time and headaches as a father with a family. I purchased the new technology to try and get help and make my life easier but I ended up with a headache now. Wish I went with Electrolux as the reviews lead me to but the PC Richards man was so adamant and strong with opinion on LG being the best...this is not the case for me. I needed a dishwasher. LG had a whole set of stuff on sale and I thought it looked good. So I bought it all including the refrigerator and the washer. I also use LG phones, so I like their products. Within an hour after the service people left and delivered, I noticed a dent in the refrigerator door. We then had multiple appointments. The guy came out twice and he didn’t have what he needed. Then we had more appointments that were cancelled. Finally, I had one that they cancelled and when I called the vendor that I had been dealing with, they told me that I had to refile my claim. I then got a hold of LG directly and I found out that the vendor had ordered in a wrong door and all this time, they never returned it, so LG never sent them a replacement. So the vendor kept scheduling an install and they expected me to have the door. The vendor was not knowledgeable at all.It took about nine months to get the refrigerator done. But I love it. My favorite feature is that little extra door on it, but the shelving is not adjustable enough. I can’t get them on the height I would like them. And on the dishwasher, the settings are not made for American dishes. It’s small in the rack and certain spaces, and not as flexible as my older one was and it seems to not hold as many dishes, either.

The LG Model LDE4413ST could have burned down my house! The knobs are way too sensitive, so whenever anyone brushes past them, even slightly and without the knob pushed in, the stove top turns on and you wouldnt even notice until its too late. Very dangerous. Someone else in my family has a gas LG range and this happens to them all the time as well, so I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of other people have this issue. We put in a complaint with LG with pictures of the damage. Tim, whom my husband spoke with on the phone, told us This wasnt your fault. Well take care of it. Now, LG is telling us our home insurance has to cover it and they wont do anything about it. I have reported LG to saferproducts.gov and Im looking into filing a class action suit.

I got my new French door LG Refrigerator, Model #LFX31925ST/100, in October of 2011, for $2354.90. The ice maker has been replaced at least twice and currently they say the one installed in August needs to be replaced again, it quit in Dec. I have had at least 6 service calls. Not counting the times they couldnt get here and had me pulling the fridge out from wall & unplugging it for several hours and plugging it back in, to eliminate loud knocking noises. This week we finally figured out that even though 8/23/15 they replaced fan grill assembly in the back of deep freeze (new one has some sort of defroster in it) we still have no ice. Last summer the water spout on door stuck in on position and nothing we did would shut it off. It flooded our kitchen before we could get the water shut off. I have thrown out so much food during the past two yrs, it is insane. Finally went and bought thermometer and learned that even though door panel shows refrig. set at 33 temp is 46-48. Freezer varies. Now I have learned it is currently part of a Class Action Law Suit and Im not alone. Im done in and crying Uncle...

I have purchased an LG double door refrigerator about 2 years ago in 2010. Even not the full 2 years have passed, it has started giving cooling problem. Before two months ago I had made a complaint, though the technician has contacted me and visited my house within 48 hours. He said that it requires changing the gas pipe and refilling the gas and that could not be possibly done at home. The product will go to workshop of the company and after that, they have taken approximately a month just by saying the transport man is not there, so we are unable to meet your complaint. I have made calls for a hundred times to them. After it came from workshop, not even 25 days have passed, it has started giving the same problem. At this time when I had made a complaint, they are unable to say again if it is chargeable or not, no proper feedback. I am feeling like I have done a major mistake by purchasing an LG product.

Like many reviewers before me, my 2.5 year old LG fridge stopped cooling yesterday. I called LG and spoke to CS who instructed me to change the temperature settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit and wait 2 hours, then call back if the fridge isnt cooling. I asked what changing the settings had to do with diagnosing my fridge, and the rep kept instructing me how to change the setting. After much persistence, I finally got the rep to tell me about the Smart ThinQ app ( to diagnose the problem). We downloaded the app, tried the program... only for the answer of the fridge door has been open longer than normal over the last 24 hours... yes of course! Everything is melting, I was transferring my food to coolers! I called again and asked to be transferred to Tech Support... I was put on hold to nowhere. I called a third time and spoke to another rep who found some equipment on the floor that could diagnose the problem. While the fridge did make a tune that the CS rep listened to, the final answer lead to sending out a technician. Now we were faced with: do we pay $299 for a One Rate fix, which guarantees a complete fix for the one rate, or do we pay $80 for a house call and then a variably increasing rate depending on the complexity of the fix. To pay anything for fixing a compressor that has a 10 year warranty is absurd! The fridge is going to the dump today, and my 20 year old KitchenAid which we replaced with the LG is coming back up from the basement! NEVER AGAIN will I purchase ANY LG product! If you havent bought an LG fridge yet, DONT!

I bought this LG (Low Grade) refrigerator (lsxs263662) brand new when I bought my first house. This was the worst mistake I have ever made. I should’ve did more research on this company before I spent $2000 on a oversize cooler. I bought the fridge in 1/23/2017 and about a month of use it stop cooling. The whole fridge was full of groceries that all went to waste. I contacted LG and they sent a service tech to come look at it. He said it was a compressor issue and had to order a new one. About 2 weeks later the compressor arrived and he came back to repair it. About a month after that the refrigerator stopped cooling again. Again we contacted LG and same issue again. This time the service technician blamed it on the first service technician for the refrigerator failing again. So same deal he ordered another compressor and came back to repair it. Relieved that the issue has been fixed which was around 4/12/2017 and assuming that this can not possibly happen again, I went on with life. About a month after the second repair the fridge broke again, same issue it stopped cooling. Again called LG but this time the service technician which was supposedly a actual LG technician never showed up. This was around 5/2017. Kept calling LG and they kept sending that same guy that never shows up. They stated that he came on the day that was scheduled but there wasn’t anyone home. I know that was just an excuse because I have 2 retired parents that is always home. So now about 1 month of waiting for the technician they sent him again. This time he said they gave him the wrong address, that is funny because they have been here three times before so how can they send the wrong address? It’s now 2/7/2018 and LG is refusing to fix my refrigerator the third time because it’s now out of warranty. LG’s replacement policy is that it needs to be fixed three times before they even consider replacing it. I put the third claim in 5/2017 way before the warranty expiration date. They gave me the run around until the warranty ended and now they are refusing to fix it. I had to go out and buy a $300 fridge to keep my groceries in and that fridge has not gave me any trouble since the day I bought it. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Customer service does nothing to help and when you ask for a supervisor they just hang up on you. I’m working with a lawyer to get their attention. Hopefully they won’t get away with this type of business practice much longer. For now please don’t support their business, Give their customer service a try and you will see what I was dealing with. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Our french door refrigerator stopped working after 2 years and will need a new compressor. It sounds like LG started using a higher efficiency compressor a few years back that hasnt held up well. The replacement part is on order and we will be without a fridge for at least 1 week or longer. In the past, we have purchased much less expensive brands and never had this type of problem. Although the compressor is still under warranty, we are being told that we will be responsible for the hourly service charges. My advice is to avoid LG refrigerators - we will in the future. I have to believe that there are more dependable models, particularly at this price.

For the past hour I have been reading about unsatisfied customers with the same problems with the linear compressor. Since 2011, we also have lost numerous total food items, ice maker freezing up and plugging the chute, water dripping from the dispensers and the control panel peeling as well as the load and vibrating compressor noise. I eventually removed the little tray in the dispenser so I could monitor excess water leakage to immediately clean up. Also with the control panel peeling with possible water seepage, now some of the functions on the control panel no longer work. Two other family member also purchased this same model at the same time not knowing all these eventful problems. We all have experience the same problems. Removing all the food contents and unplugging the refrigerator 2-3 times a year seems ridiculous and also trying to remove the frozen water buildup that plugs up the ice dispenser is a pain.I see the same over and over form response from LG which tells customers to contact them, but I have not read if any of these hundreds (maybe thousands) have had any resolution. I know there was a Class Action Suit and Settlement Clark v. LG Electronics USA, Inc. Case No:3:13-cv-0485-JMJMA for models sold before January 2014. Why hasnt LG been made responsible to rectify this compressor problem. I too will never buy nor recommend an LG Refrigerator to anyone.

Both this product and customer service were awful. Bought fridge brand new, and the Ice machine never worked. Customer service sent two different technicians with over 5 different parts plus a new fridge door, in a span of five service calls and could not fix the problem. After the hassle of trying to get a replacement, they denied it to me and are just reimbursing me the money, not taking into consideration that I paid on a credit card, accumulated interest AND had paid extra for installment. Both this product and LG were of very poor quality. NEVER using their services or products again.

When we built our house in 2006, I specifically requested LG appliances. This was a huge mistake. Within 2 1/2 years, the dishwasher quit working. I went to LGs site and found a repairman. He proceeded to tell me that the motor had burned out and it would be over $300 to repair. LG said that since it was a 2-year warranty, they could not help me. Last year, the temperature control on my range went out. The temp would be set for 350 and within a few minutes, the entire kitchen was filled with smoke because it had scorched everything in the oven. Needless to say, I didnt even bother with a repairman. I simply replaced the stove. At about the same time, the icemaker in the French door refrigerator quit working. After googling troubleshooting recommendations, it would appear that this is defective as well. It would be over $200 to repair but I believe it was mentioned that it would fail again soon so there wasnt any point in replacing it. That leaves the over the range microwave. So far, it is the only thing that hasnt screwed up. I will never purchase nor recommend purchasing another LG appliance.

We did not have a lot of options based on the size opening we have in our kitchen and it was the one the best fit our wish list of features and style but that would not involve us having to uninstall cabinets in order to make space. I like side by side doors with the freezer on the bottom. The special compartments in the side door are also a good feature that I didnt know I needed but now wouldnt want to be without. The one thing that I would for sure change is the door alarm timing. I would want to keep it the same for the freezer but wish that we would have the option of making it a little longer for the refrigerator doors. Its not even enough time to grab all the ingredients we need or to put away a full load of groceries.

How can anyone expect clean clothes without water? I always need to press extra water or deep wash....which really wastes a lot of water as it will then fill up to the very top rim when I only want it to cover the clothes in the tub! The blue finish inside the oven is peeling off, the customer representative for LG said this was a cosmetic problem and the LG Company does not warranty this problem. This is a problem when the company was baking the enamel to the product and it was not done properly. This is not the consumers responsibility. When I purchased the product I was told that I was warranty on every part of the oven for 5 years because I bought the extended warranty. I am going to be a advocate on telling people NOT to buy LG Products unless they resolve this issue.

In August 2009, I purchased $5000 worth of house appliances (refrigerator, range, washer and dryer) with extended warranties from Best Buy. The LG refrigerator, LSC26905SB, has not operated properly since day one. Best Buy came out once every three months with an inoperable ice maker. After the first year, Best Buy informed me there was no extended warranty on the refrigerator. I called Best Buy corporation and explained that the online customer service representative forgot to give me an extended warranty on the refrigerator. They told there was nothing they could do. Fast forward to 2012, I am replacing the ice maker chute which is $289 and the ice maker tray drips which is another $200. I believe Best Buy intentionally left the warranty off of the refrigerator because it is a piece of garbage. Of course, I requested a copy of my receipt and Best Buy stated they dont have a copy.

We bought our LG Smart Inverter fridge last year. When we were shopping, we were looking for a spacious freezer and of all fridge weve seen, its layout stood out. The height and the depth (the z-axis) is greater than others. We could stuff a lot of meat, ice cream, ice inside and since last year, we have never filled it up to its full capacity even though weve hosted large parties in our house. It also have compartments inside that are intuitively placed, not just placed there for the heck of it. My favorite is the chiller, its spacious and it can semi-freeze meat, hotdogs, chorizo, making it still fresh. We have not had any problems with the fridge. Hope we dont have to use its 10-year warranty. The only downsides with the fridge is that the egg tray can only accommodate 8 eggs and even though the doors are closed, somehow, insects are able to creep inside. I dont know how they can get inside to both the freezer and the lower compartment. I constantly remove dead insects inside. So far, fridge is performing as expected.

The knobs on the LG gas range will turn on just by reaching over the stove to get something and turning to walk away. They turn past lite and fill your house with gas. You barely touch them and they do this. This is very dangerous. I have come home 3 times in the last year with my house filled with gas. My elderly mother took a pan off the stove to wash it and then went to the living room not noticing the smell. I came home and nearly passed out when I walked to the kitchen. I see that there are many reviews with this same issue. I have called LG and they keep trying to send a technician. I have explained its not a technical issue. Is a very poor design. They will have their safety team call me within 24 hours. I think something needs done about this. People are or probably already have been killed. They certainly have to be aware of this with all the reviews I have read. Next step is to go to the News and do a demonstration so people will be aware and not purchase from this company. Like I said it has happened 3 times in my home and its dangerous. Please do not buy LG gas ranges.

We bought a wonderful french door stainless LG frig with all the features we wanted. Twice we woke up and the fridge temperature was above 45F. We thought that we left a door open or the power had gone out. On the third time - with water everywhere in the kitchen and the interior temperature above 50F we called LG and asked for repair. The fridge is less than 15 months old and we paid $2975. It took most of the day to get through all of the automated phone questions, when we finally spoke to a person they said that they would arrange for a repair company to contact us. That took 3 days before we heard from a company (who gets 1 star reviews on yelp) and it took more than a week for them to schedule a repair person who confirmed what LG told them needed to be done. It has been more than 3 weeks and we still do not have our refrigerator repaired. We have had 3 canceled repair appointments and one that did not show up. LG needs to do better than this. We purchased the top of the line refrigerator - this is our third LG fridge and two of them have had problems but their lack of response for repair is unbelievable. We actually got a call from them asking about our customer service experience - how about terrible? We are living out of an ice chest and all of our food has been ruined 3 times. And we still do not have a working fridge.

I had my LG microwave for three years or so and my wife was cleaning it gently with Windex (to get the grease off of it since it was also a range hood), when it stopped working completely. Be aware, LG and other uncool companies are making products that cannot be cleaned. Its sort of like buying a car that cant be waxed. It pretty much makes you never want to give their lousy company a dime again. I then bought a touch strip from an appliance repair site for cheap and repaired it myself. We now keep it in the garage (its huge!), but at least we didnt lose the whole $1000 investment. There are videos on YouTube that will help you do that. However, my main point is that you should never buy LG products. I know I never will again. I wont even buy parts from them. Thats what they want you to do!

LGs response to us was reset the fridge using the breaker from the electrical service box). We did and have had to do for 6 weeks. Repair company replaced at our expense: freezer defrost sensor $175 parts/labor. Main board parts and labor $175. Sensor for fridge $300 parts and labor. So after paying $950 in repairs over the course of 1 year and 1 month the fridge today was dripping water on the floor from the ice maker which we find is NOT WORKING now. No error code even on the fridge!! The fridge is not cooling, the ice maker is not working, and the freezer has thawed everything overnight (so the defrost is stuck on??) So 4 repairs and it is still not working, in fact it is ON but NOT WORKING! LG will do NOTHING like this has never happened before??? We purchased an LG Gas Range in November of 2012. Starting in May of 2015, the oven racks started becoming a struggle to slide them in and out of the oven. We noticed that the blue enamel was gone on the tracks where the oven racks slide in and out. We have contacted LG and they keep giving us the run around. We even sent pictures where it was evident that the enamel was gone and you could clearly see the metal. They responded with the following email, Sir: This is with regard to the request of range racks for model#LRG3095st. The unit was purchased 11/15/2012 which is over a year and not qualified for us to send you the racks for free. This racks can be ordered with our Parts Distributor, MCM ELECTRONICS phone# 800-824-9491. Also, regarding the pictures that you sent to us which have stains on the blue enamel, these were caused by liquids, sauces, grease, and other foods spilled or splattered inside the oven which is cosmetic issue, therefore not covered. So, all they ever wanted to do was have us order our own racks and state that these were stained by grease, liquids, etc. Obviously, he did not look at the picture and it appears he is stating that these things will eat the enamel off of the inside of the stove to where the metal is exposed... LG has a problem and is not wanting to take care of any problem pertaining to their product. Their customer service representative told me that it was out of warranty and that it is not covered. So basically, the enamel in the LG oven that costs around $1,000 is only meant to last 2 to 3 years. DONT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

While our new LG free standing dual oven gas range cooked superbly, it is a clear danger and we convinced our retailer to accept return, even though they advised that LG would not. The control knobs turned inadvertently, allowing the gas line to open, without igniting. The technicians claimed it worked as designed. How could that be? On multiple occasions reaching for something in the cabinets above or the microwave caused the knobs the move, despite only grazing the knob. In a separate incident, our electrician placed a tarp on the range to prevent anything falling on the cook top and again, an inadvertent touching ignited the tarp. While nobody was hurt this time and no permanent property damage, we refused to accept this. We were very pleased with our retailer, PC Richard, when they agreed to the return. We recommend that nobody accept the risk.

So I contacted LG. Horrible experience (life was not good!). First call I was given three local authorized LG repair services. First one no one answered the phone. Second and third, we dont do warranty jobs?? Second call to LG, received fresh three new numbers and got the same results?? My furious third call back to LG, LG assigned the repair to LGs own technician and said first availability will be 4 days out.Next morning after vacay, we took the fridge apart and removed the heavy houses door in order to get the LG outside to clean and remove the smell. The next several days we tediously cleaned with vinegar and baking soda several times a day. LG technician came 4 days later and confirmed the compressor is bad and its on order and will be expedited to the house the next day. The next day it took 1.5 hr to replace the compressor and the labor charge was $460 (with tax).I contacted LG executive services and informed them my experience. They replied via email saying my product is out of warranty yada yada and zero compensations or apologies for poor quality product. This was the second major issue with this fridge. 5 months after we bought it, the controller was bad (defrost timer was bad) causing the freezer to ice up and the fan kept hitting ice LOUD bangs. It took LGs technician FOUR trips/appointments to the house and TWO technicians to determine it was the defrost timer. Had to take off work to meet technicians. They replace the controller board to fix this issue. We bought a mini 3.3 cu ft. fridge (NOT LG) to get us by while the LG was out. I wont recommend LG fridge to anyone and wont buy another LG fridge.

My washer is 1 1/2 years old. Just before it went out of warranty, I noticed the bleach dispenser was starting to rust. I called LG and was told not their problem and if I want someone to look at it I have to pay for a repairman. I told them NO WAY. I would be glad to send pictures, still they said no. A couple months go by and I start to notice rust spots on my clothes so I called back this time. I was told there was a recall and they would fix that first then look into the rust problem. Repairman comes and just like everyone else did not fix the unbalance problem. I insisted on him taking pictures of the now very rusty bleach dispenser. After many calls, they finally agreed to fix. Well see. They are due here this Friday. This machine is junk!!!! I welcome a class action suit!!!!!!

We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. Life has not been good with LG.

I bought a LG refrigerator. Now 5 years old. It quit working. Started by calling the 800 number for LG repair. That was on July 27th 2020. Getting a call center out of the United States. They were very nice for the most part. A little hard to understand. I started getting texts with repair service would be in touch. I would wait and not hear anything. Call again. Again promise I would hear from them. This has gone on mind you since July, 27th 2020. Not getting anything done. I paid $100 for a service call. Was told there is a leak in the Freon line and maybe a fan problem. So again I call the 800 number. Was told I would get a email to send the proof of purchase. What they know I have it. I got all the information ready. As of today Oct. 28th of Oct nothing has happened. Thank You for letting me vent.

Dont buy the LG High Capacity expensive washer. It doesnt clean your clothe
Dont buy the LG High Capacity expensive washer. It doesnt clean your clothes, musty/wet dog smell. It doesnt fill with enough water to wash a hand towel. It calls for less soap, but sometimes the soap doesnt dispense all. Every load gets the UE code, uneven load and you have to open and shuffle clothes so wash time is over an hour and half. Was told by friends to pour vinegar in every load, or add bleach every time you wash, leave the lid open or mold grows in it!So I had LG rep visit and here is what I was told. Do not fill to line as specified, only 2 tablespoons of detergent, no more. You cannot wash a load too large, only a medium, fill clothes only half way. You CANNOT wash large towels, blankets or comforters in these washers. You have to add white vinegar. Leave the top open always or mold will grow. Every month you need to press tub clean and add special cleaning tablets. So basically, this efficient washer saves on water and detergent, but you have to spend your money on vinegar, cleaning tablets and dry cleaner for bulky items. Then he added this kicker: Blame the government because they have high restrictions on making washers more efficient for environment, they have to make them work bad. Apparently, the European LG washer is awesome, no restrictions. Go back to Sears, buy a Kenmore with an agitator and have clean clothes.

Bought the side by side April 1, 2015 and compressor is broken as of June 2
Bought the side by side April 1, 2015 and compressor is broken as of June 23, 2018 when I noticed water pooling and my ice cream soft. Purchased at Best Buy and they give you an extra yr warranty. The repairmen don’t work on Sundays and Mondays so I have to wait 4 days before my appt. Originally they wanted to schedule me for July 2 which is 1 1/2 wks away. My refrigerator is mildly cool and the freezer has stopped freezing. I paid extra for LG unit which advertised their quiet linear compressor. I am very dissatisfied that the unit broke in 3 yrs. That is ridiculous. I will make sure that I purchase extra warranty for I see more breakdowns in the future. Wished I would have purchased a Whirlpool which is Consumer Reports recommendation. A few of my friends have Whirlpool and no problems.Updated on 06/26/2018: Had the repairman out. I thought it was the linear compressor but it turns out its in the closed system where the freon is connected to the metal coils. He thinks there is a leak. It is only 3 yrs old. This should not be. Another appt has to be set up and a specialist will come to find the leak and put freon in. If they cant fix it, then I get a new refrigerator. This is Best Buy warranty. Today they dont come with a 5 yr warranty. I will also plan on buying extended warranty. Things arent made like they used to when assembly people put it together. My old GE lasted 20 years. That was in the 70s. They purposely design them to break down after ** years.

I have gotten very little usage from this LG dishwasher since I purchased it a few years ago. It has been one problem after another. I had not used it for approximately 8 months. When I DID try to use it, it gave me the oe code (Again). When the repairman came out, it was clogged up, he really DID not believe that I had not been using the dishwasher. Also, now the rubber and the sides that should be welded down is now coming loose. It cannot be repaired!!!!
