Our LG range was emitting dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. After two weeks and first paying a $200 flat fee, an LG approved technician finally came and replaced some parts and fixed it. He said it likely a manufacturers defect but he cant say 100% which means that LG keeps their fee. In the meantime, Ive written two letters to LG (where it says they will reply within 24 hours) and gotten no response, spoken with two customer service managers who show no concern for the fact their appliance put my family in danger, and spent way too much time on hold on the telephone and online chat with very little to show for it. Their lack of customer service is appalling.

I bought a top loading LG washer from Home Depot in March 2016. By October 2016 it was smelling like mold & mildew. I did everything I was suppose to: use washer cleaner in it and run cleaner cycle once a month, it continued to get worse. I contacted LG Customer Service & Tech Support in December 2016, they scheduled a repairman to come out. He put cleaner in it & ran a cycle, and confirmed the smell. I called a week later, complained again. They sent repairmen out 5 times over the next 3 months who each did the same thing and confirmed the washer stinks, at this it reeks, and each time they said it was unrepairable. But, LG would not deem it unrepairable over the phone on Tech Support with the repairman and this is the only way you can get a new washer. Two different repair services were coming out at this point and both refused LG request after multiple visits to my house. So 3.5 months later I had wasted 5 work days waiting on repairmen time windows of 5 to 6 hours to come to my house, pour cleaner in my washer (which I am a very competent, college-educated person who can pour cleaner in a washer and press a button) & then have both repair companies tell me they will no longer waste their time coming to my house. I also has a plumber come out and inspect my lines and hookups ($114.00) cost to me and tell me the smell was definitely coming from washer. Now, LG says nothing else they can do!! I was sold a lemon, had it less than six months, and started having issues. LG is the worse company I have ever dealt with. They make you jump through hoops like a circus dog and beat you down hoping you will just give up. This company needs to be held accountable for their non-actions. Please do not buy LG products!

We purchased a new LG stove from Best Buy. The oven failed to work under warranty. We called LG and they told us that the stove needed to have a dedicated electrical line. We had it done. By the time it was done, the stove was beyond warranty. Three hundred dollars later, the oven failed to work. LG would not deal with it. I called Geek Squad to try to fix it. They could not fix it. A wonderful tech came out. He did not charge me. I still do not have a working oven. I will purchase a Viking stove and dump this piece of garbage. I needed a washer/dryer and purchased a Samsung unit. I am very happy with the unit and the experience. LG is all talk. The LG unit is the worst experience one could have. I fully expect to file a consumer fraud complaint against LG.

LG Direct Drive Balance Washing Machine is the Pits! I purchased my washer and dryer in the Spring of 2015. Here it is the Summer of 2016 and I am having problems with the washer. It takes me a week to finish a load of laundry. I keep getting a UL code. The clothes do not come out clean. They come out more wrinkled after the washer. Not very pleased. Real waste of $3000.00. Customer service could care less. Says washer is out of warranty. Evidently there is a problem because of all the complaints. If you buy this machine you better get a really good extended warranty. Never again.

I would give 0 stars! I have to get rid of the LG Tromm. It’s only 5 years old. It has bad odor and leaking door gasket. I bought this machine for the capacity and efficiency. Now it is costing me time and money due to the high maintenance of cleaning the washer so it will clean the clothes. The smell is unbearable. It’s got to go.

Purchased stove LRG3097ST/00 in 2011/2012 at Sears. Stove broiler began coming on automatically at odd times (6pm, 1am, 3am, 7pm, etc..) some 6 weeks ago. Since then, we had the warranty servicer out to repair four (4) times. Twice had parts shipped in. The last time, the parts arrived damaged. What a mess. Stove sits unplugged from electrical outlet and gas valve shut off. Thank goodness, I had the forethought of purchasing an extended warranty on this new brand. This past Friday, we received some type of authorization (number) to purchase a replacement stove. I have been reading reviews and will not pick LG, and Kenmores will be carefully scrutinized for quality. Still have an LG refrigerator bought the same time, so waiting to see what happens with it in the coming months. Already having door closure issues. Will not buy anything made in Mexico.

I purchased brand new appliances in 2016 with them being delivered in spurts due to back orders. The dishwasher Model LDT9965bd was delivered on January 30, 2016 and not installed for a few weeks later. These are top of the line LG projects in black ice. I noticed the finish deterioration on the left side on 2/7/17 so I contacted ABC Warehouse on 2/7/17 and my salesman referred me to their LG customer service. I call the next morning and they refer me to LG directly because they say the warranty was up on January 30, 2017. I did not purchase an extended warranty on this item like I did my fridge and stove. Upon sending my photos she asks me how I clean it. I dont use product on the item and only wipe with a damp dish towel on top where the buttons are. To be honest the dishwasher does not need that much cleaning on the outside (sounds accusatory to me). She proceeds to tell me to call service repair and provided me a local number that I have not called as it will be a cost to me for them to come out. The finish on my black ice dishwater is coming off around the handle on both sides and I have only had it installed since late February 2016. I told her to forget it that I would take this up with my sales rep. At this point I would not recommend LG products if this does not get addressed at no charge. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I will not stop until this is fixed at their expense since I spent $1,000 on this item. I thought I was buying quality.Updated on 11/29/2017: Here we go again with the same issue Im going to complain about again. The black ice finish is coming off near the left handle of the dishwasher as I noticed last night. The skin was replaced last year on 2/11/17 and its now almost 10 months later and its happening again. I will again, make some calls to get someone out to replace this at their expense on this expensive item. By the way, I agree with a lot of the complaints about the LG dishwashers. They do not clean well and I hate everything about the inside. Tines to thin, dishes fall over, not cleaned well etc... I miss my old stuff and it was not even broken. I had purchased all new since I had to replace my fridge. The saga will continue.

I agree with what everyone has to say about these new washing machines. I bought the LG 1101 washer 2 years ago. Chose this model as consumer reports gave it a raving review. After doing a couple loads I felt that the machine wasnt washing the clothes very well - white streaks on dark clothing, dry spots on clothes, not smelling clean at all so I would watch how much water would go into a load - not much! I pulled out a grey dress shirt after a full wash cycle & could see that it was completely dry in certain areas! I called LG & asked them if they were the right people to call or should I have called Sears (where I purchased it). Of course they said I made the right call as they would send a repairman out & because I had the machine for only 2 weeks. I should have called Sears because then I could have returned the machine!Anyways repairman said that the machine is doing what its suppose to do - senses load & puts water accordingly. I showed him a picture of the shirt & he said he understood. He has heard the complaint many times. He said to get around the not enough water issue was to open up washer so it thinks youre adding more clothes so then it will add more water. What a waste of time having this machine is! I have been doing this with every wash load but sometimes I forget because I dont have time to wait for it to start filling. I now put about a bucket full of water (about 10 litres) into the machine after putting the clothes in & then start up the machine. Pretty pathetic that I have to do this to a brand new machine. I absolutely hate my new LG washing machine. Wish I had never purchased it. Its really too bad as I was so excited about getting it as I had never owned a new washing machine before.

The drum spun off its base when in the spin cycle . It was only filled with intimate clothing . It slammed into the inside front panel of the washer with me standing in front of the machine. I called LG and they want proof of purchase..Which we have...Then they will review..then they will decide if it meets criteria for repair....then they will find a service person....then they will schedule an appointment for repair on a washer that they knew was on recall all along! Maybe 5 to 10 days later! I have a family of 6...one trip to the laundry mat is 50.00 to 80.00 depending on blankets with urine etc. In 10 days we will be out the cost of a washer. What kind of help is that! At home depot we paid 1945.00 for the washer and dryer set on 12/08/11. That is the type of customer service you receive from LG for your dollars...so BADDDDD! DONT DO IT!

I purchased a bottom freezer LG refrigerator three years ago. I opened the door and discovered there was no power to it. I just had a repairman examine it. It blew a simple fuse, but the fuses are soldered in so it cost me $400 to replace the control panel. Thats one-third the cost of the entire refrigerator. And its only three years old! I was looking at an LG TV, but I have now decided to never again purchase one of their products. My old, no frills Kenmore refrigerator was still going strong after 20 years. I decided to replace it with this one to improve the energy efficiency.

Our LG clothes washer is consistently - awful! Clothes come out ‘stiff and unwashed. For example, a folded handkerchief comes out of the wash still perfectly folded. Terrycloth towels come out stiff and scratchy instead of soft and relatively fluffy. Most of the time, some parts of a pair of pants, for example, are not even wet when the wash is done. The problem, I think, is lack of water. It is impossible to get enough water into the (front-loading) machine to properly wash clothes - even when the extra water option is used. Way back when I lived in military barracks and used front-loading washing machines, the water level was generally a third to half way up the front window. Not so with this LG machine. I really regret buying it.

Issue: The refrigerator (French door LFXS30766S) broke down on 7/4/2018, just couple days after two years warranty. Find out it’s “sealed system” issue and this is still covered by LG for five years. Called LG and reported the issue on 7/6/2018, they have created ticket and mentioned that they will find the technician and assign it. How many days since then? One month now. Technician is yet to come my home and look into issue. In between, I have called so many times to LG, each time their answer is standard, they are still trying to find the technician and escalating the ticket or creates new ticket, which is nothing but their excuse to tell customer to wait for 3-5 business days. I wonder why no technician wants to work with LG, whoever I talked to they either says they are two far away from my destination or they don’t work with LG. I have even asked LG if they can assign work order to “Sears home service” they are reliable and guarantee they will come, but LG says it is not possible for them to assign the work order to Sears. Why? No idea. After so many phone calls and many tickets where are we? Nowhere near the resolution. I wouldn’t recommend LG product anymore. Settlement that I am looking: LG assign reliable tech which I can count on or refund the money.

It was a good deal. The other brands were white but I wanted the very trendy brushed aluminum look. It was also at a store where I could get 5% cash back on my purchase so that was very nice too. I really like how cold it gets. It has a little drawer for my veggies which is also a good thing to have. I enjoy using my fridge because it is well made and is a great color. Would like it to have Bluetooth or wifi so I could connect to it. A screen would also be very cool so I could display family pictures and videos for my guests to see how cool my family is.

I bought an LG side by side refrigerator for my home. Recently, I am a divorced single mother of a 2 year old, trying to start over. Here it is, one and a half years later and my fridge totally thawed out all of my meat in my refrigerator. My milk is spoiled and all of my meat and vegetables are rotted and ruined. I am barely scraping by paying the bills, starting over again and I should not have to be buying a fridge after a 1 1/2 years. This is ridiculous. Customer services are good in telling you that your warranty ended at 1 year and that is it. No, they have no sympathy. If it wasnt for good friends letting us eat with them for the next two weeks when I get paid, we would be without food. I cant buy groceries twice. I cant buy refrigerators twice. This is ridiculous! I am telling everyone not to buy anything LG. Beware, some Kenmore refrigerators are made by LG now too.

We purchased an LG Counter Depth, French-Door Fridge (LFXC24726D) from Costco 21 months ago. We have been working through Costco Concierge Service, LG and our semi-local repair crew. The problem was diagnosed with a major leak in the system. The local repair crew replaced the compressor, two evaporators, and a dryer. The repair lasted about 24 hours. On the subsequent return visit, the tech checked for dye leaks on all of their solder joints. None were found and the tech deemed the fridge as not repairable. This fridge is still under Costco 2-year warranty, and it has been tough getting the repair/refund resolved. LG warranty support sucks -- even with Costco pushing them. As of this writing, we have been living with this defective fridge for 4 weeks! If half of the prospective refrigerator buyers shopping at Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, and Best Buy had a clue about the way LG handles their customers they would never consider anything manufactured by LG product -- NOTHING!

We purchased an LG French door fridge in September 2014. The fridge has broken over 6 times since then. Fridge freezing, freezer not working, total shut down, you name it it broke. The computer board went 2 or 3 times, partly due to bad repair and wrongly installed. The compressor then went. Through all of this we lost hundreds of dollars of food and the fridge leaked and ruined our kitchen cupboards. Calling LG is the worst customer service. They provide the run around and takes days/weeks to respond and constant followup is required. They constantly say they are reviewing our case, but then come back and it is up to us to call back in and book something else. Our daughter and son-in-law purchased a LG french door fridge six years ago. Love the french door... but... after about 1-1/2 years... maybe 2... the fridge went out. My husband pulled the panel off the back and found a fuse blown. Cant order just a fuse? What? Had to order a whole new circuit board... $$$. So we took burnt fuse out and went to local hardware and purchased one as close as we could. Installed and waalaa it worked again. Now, it happened again so we showed our daughter and son-in-law how to change the fuse and keep the wires clean... The fridge goes out about once a year but wow does it save them a ton of money being able to fix themselves. And the fridge works just fine! GOOD LUCK!

It is a basic fridge with no special features: comes standard ice maker. It has the side by side freezer and cooler which is nice in its self. First of all, these products need to be simplified on the manufacturing to save the environment. I dislike the fact that I did not get any cool features, I do have a basic model. I wanted a smart fridge, but you have to make a ton of money in order to afford one decent feature. I dislike the fact that certain features do not come as standard. I purchased the LG Probake gas range 2 1/2 years ago. Of course after a year the warranty was up and I had to have it repaired. It cost 300.00 to repair and it is very hard to find someone to work on it. I was told LG doesnt have spec sheets for anyone to repair their products. It makes it hard. I was also told that it is hard to find parts as LG Discontinues them frequently. Got it fixed in December of 2019 and here we are again. The convection oven stopped working and was shooting out flames. I researched and found out this always fails on this range. Totally disappointed. Couldnt find anyone to repair it in my area and I tried to order the part for it and spent an additional 80.00. Still can not get it to work. Now I am at the point of buying a different range and definitely wont be an LG. I am so upset. I wasted my money. It was the first brand new range I purchased for my family and I have only had it for 2 and a half years.

I thought LG was a good brand name so when we were looking for refrigerators, I was drawn to the style of the French door fridge and we chose it. I wish Id looked at this site first! Exactly three years to the day after purchasing it, it shut down. My freezer was packed and everything had to be thrown out! The fridge stayed cool long enough to salvage some of the contents. Ok, so sometimes products fail, right? Their customer service is THE WORST. They could not be less helpful if they set out to do it! I called the first time and was told by a sugary sweet computer voice that they were too busy and she hung up on me!The next day when I called back I was told by the same computer that my wait would be 7 minutes. The next time my wait time was announced it was 8 minutes. Wait, what? When I finally got to speak to someone, he treated me like an idiot suggesting I didnt have it set on the right temps or didnt close the freezer door correctly. He was infuriating because he knew nothing and was operating from a script that meant he wasnt even thinking. It would have been nice if somewhere they said gee, thats awful. Were sorry. We hope to make it up to you. A friend who works in the electronics field said LG is notorious for not backing up their product. Im going to say this. I wish Id listened to my husband and selected the Samsung fridge!!! Ill never buy another LG appliance again.

Sears finally refunded my money and I went with Whirlpool. 6 of 7 LG Customer service representatives were rude and completely lacked empathy. I have a 31 cu ft. French Door LG refrigerator that I spent a lot of money on over 4 years ago and the compressor suddenly went out. Luckily I have a warranty for 10 years for major components, but lo and behold it does not cover labor. The 45 minutes of labor was $600. I am shocked for several reasons: I cant believe an expensive appliance less than 5 years old would have a compressor which needs replacement, its unbelievable to have to pay $600 in labor for 45 minutes of work although I have a warranty. I also own an LG Steam Washer/Front Loader and matching dryer. The washer also needed repairs (which I had to pay parts and labor for) after a couple of years of ownership. These are definitely the LAST LG appliances, electronics, etc I purchase. In the future, I hope to find a company who cares about their customers and stands by their products.

I purchased my LG French Door Refrigerator in August of 2013. It worked great until earlier this week when it completely stopped cooling after only 2 1/2 years of use. I called LG and was sent to an overseas call center where someone reading from a script was quick to inform me that the 1 year warranty of my $2,000 appliance had expired. Not only did they not make any effort to help me, all they did was provide the names of two non-local companies who could service my appliance at my expense. I called the companies who would not travel to my home. I called LG back and they told me to find a repair person myself because they have no authorized repair people in my area. I did find a repair person to look at it and it was determined to be a sealed system failure which would be covered under my limited parts warranty. I called LG back and they have no one in my area that will work on a sealed system failure on their product. I have a completely useless product and no one to fix it. I paid $2000 for a refrigerator and I am storing my groceries in a cooler in my garage. I have never received such horrible customer service and I would strongly caution anyone considering an LG appliance to NOT do it! I will NEVER do business with this company again.

We bought an LG washer and dryer set 1 1/2 years ago. Have not been happy with them since we bought them. The top loader with no agitator leave clothes dirty, filled with soap scum and tangled up. I have called LG customer service numerous times. They told me I was not washing clothes correctly. Im 43, I know how to wash clothes. Suggest that I use a different type of detergent. Tried that... no luck. I will never buy a LG washer and dryer again. Total waste of money!

I love the side by side with the see thru door for drinks. Just knock 2xs on the window and it lights up so you can see in the door before opening to get a drink. It has sensors so if you dont close the doors completely they go off. Ice maker inside freezer, didnt want water on the door, last one leaked and never could fix it. Once and roomy and nice shelves and easy to clean, plenty of freezer space. Nice veg bins and meat bin. Stainless, love it.

LG Refrigerators have a known problem with their compressors and they die within three years. Although the product is still under warranty, it takes weeks to get parts and still the fridge doesnt work. Their customer service is horrible and they state they wont replace a unit unless theyve come out four times. There is a pending class action suit against the company and the company should recall these products and refund the consumers money. Save yourself the aggravation and buy another product. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I have the same issue on my fridge that everyone else has (bad compressor) on a refrigerator that is only 2 years old. I have LG phones, TVs, dishwasher, stove, microwave, washer and dryer. But now I find out that the refrigerators are nothing more than junk due to issues with the compressor. There is a class action lawsuit on this. I spent about 3600.00 for something that lasted 2 years. Unacceptable. Really should be 0 stars.

On October 21st, our LG Model LMXS30776S/00 Refrigerator that was less than 2 years old stopped working. When I called LG Consumer Relations at 800-243-000 they took down our information. They then discussed their LG Premium Care Service Plan with us and provided us two options to get our fridge fixed. Option # 1, $450, Option # 2 $350. Option # 1 covers you for 1 year and the Option # 2 is for 3 months. We go with Option # 2. It is supposed to cover the labor and because the compressor broke that is covered by warranty by LG for 10 years from date of purchase. They set us up with one service repair company in our city, then call us a few days later to say they assigned it to another service repair company in our city. Turns out the second one is the only authorized LG repair in our city. They schedule an appointment, the earliest date, November 14th.On 11/14 the owner comes out and says the compressor is broke and the seal system has been contaminated and he will need 6 parts to fix this. On 11/15 the repair place calls me and says the LG warranty department will not authorize the fridge to be fixed. They are going to get another repair place to come fix it. On 11/16 after not hearing from the warranty division of LG (which is outsourced), I call them. It took 34 minutes before someone answered. They explain to me and say the repair company told us they cannot fix the fridge. I say that is a total lie. The guy then paused. I said I have spoken with them multiple times and they told me you would not authorize them to repair it because you now do not want to pay the labor cost. So LG sells us on the warranty program, but then when they find out the labor cost almost 3 weeks later, they refuse to pay it and tell us we will reimburse the $350 to you.So not only did our less than 2 year old fridge break, they do not honor their warranty programs that they sell to the consumer. I was transferred back to LG Customer Care and waited on hold 45 minutes. I never spoke to anyone again. I tried calling on 11/17 and they say wait times are too long, call back. I then proceed to do a live chat. They push me back to their 800. Long story short, DO NOT buy LG. However, you have to be careful, because LG makes refrigerators for Kenmore and others that are sold in Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears to name a few.LG does not stand behind their products. One local repair place in my city said they dropped LG because LG did not honor the warranties. They said do not buy LG and Samsung Appliances. So our options are to buy a new fridge, or pay someone over $800 to repair our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator. So, we paid $2900 for the LG fridge and now it will cost an additional $800 to get it fixed or we have to spend in the $1,000s to get a new one. I have never in 40 + years experienced such bad customer service with a product. I will never buy anything that LG makes or has made for another company. They do not stand behind their products. Their customer care representatives are terrible. Thanks LG. You lost a customer and hope many more after they read this for life.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever purchased. It takes forever to get a load of wash done and there are spots on the clothes when finished. It doesnt use enough water to even cover the clothes. For more water, you have to set it on Extra Load, and then it takes 3 hours to wash! The programs for selection are awful and limited. For this machine to cost so much, I thought it would be top notch. WRONG. My next machine will be a trusted GE. I had a GE washer for over 10 years that washed clothes very well. This LG washer is terrible and I wouldnt recommend wasting your money on it. It looks pretty, but it doesnt wash well. Ultimately very disappointed.

We purchased a LG washing machine from Lowe’s on May 31, 2014. About the second time we used it the clothes were slopping wet but some of the clothes had dry spots on them (both using detergent and fabric softener and without using any as weve had to wash each load 3 times or more to get the washer through a cycle). Lowe’s was nice enough to replace that washing machine with another one just like it. Lowe’s delivered and set up the new LG washing machine within a few days. The very first time we used the new LG washer it was the same problem. Also we got an E6 - clutch error message to unplug and call repairman. Lowe’s had a repairman out but they cant find anything wrong. Calling LG and was informed some needed a new control board (why?? these are brand new machines and why are they selling the machines knowing certain serial numbers have problems)?? We dont have any children at home nor do we do heavy loads nor do we have real dirty greasy clothes. Lowe’s pretty much said weve had this newest machine 8 days and they cant do anything (had it 3 days before using it). LG advised we have to have 3 different service techs out. The first tech said he would check on the parts and call us back but that was 3 days ago and we havent heard from him. We called today and was advised they dont know if the parts were ordered or not as the secretary is out until Monday. Believe me we are slamming LG and are not happy with them at all. Service tech also advised us since its LG it will take longer to get the parts in and this repair might or might not work. Its like let’s try this and let’s try that and maybe something will help. But having two brand new LG washing machines within two weeks and they are both doing the same thing... LG has a problem and looks like its not getting fixed! We are very unhappy and wished we didnt purchased LG - the reviews are totally wrong!

Purchased this new LG LFX31925ST for $3500 from BestBuy July 2013 and now 14 months later the freezer and fridge compartments are warm and the unit sounds like a garbage disposal. Called BestBuy. They said they have no Geek Squad service in my area 15 mile from both Bestbuy locations in my upstate NY location. So contacted LG customer service several times to get a repair for this unit. Unplugged the Refrigerator for 12 hours, plug back in and it was quiet and cooling till 10 hours later when the noise is back but seems to be still cooling. Did a bunch of troubleshooting over the phone with no definitive solution. Called back this morning to LG to explain to them the current situation and requested a service call. Mentioned to them that the service center listed on their repair website did not return any of my 3 phone calls yesterday. So they gave me another service center that they were going to electronically dispatch. This was several hours ago now and no contact from them. Dont buy LG Appliances!

PROBLEM DATE 6/1/18, PURCHASE DATE 2/12/17, PAYMENT AMOUNT 2,432.59. Purchased the LG Refrigerator from SEARS in 2017. Contacted LG at 1-800-243-0000 on 6/1/18 at 9:57 AM about the fridge not freezing/cooling. LG offered a warranty # APN & service # RNN. LG said someone would contact me to setup an appointment for someone to look at the fridge. No one called. I called LG again on 6/2/18 @ 10:09 AM. They said someone would contact me on Monday. I called Tuesday, 6/5/18 @ 5:24 PM because no one had called me. They said it was being sent to the Search Team and someone would contact me in 5 business days. No one called. I called on 6/14/18 @ 8:52 AM. They said someone would be calling me because it had not been 5 business days yet. No one called me. I called again on 6/15/18 @ 8:22 AM they said JCS Technology would be contacting me to setup an appointment. And a new # was assigned. RNN. I was reminded that parts and labor would be covered. We contacted JCS Technology because no one had setup an appointment. There was no answer. I called LG and they said they had an appointment setup for 6/18/18 between 8 AM and 12 PM. No one called or showed up to look at the fridge on 6/18/18. I contacted LG again 6/18/18 @ 1156. They said that JCS would reschedule the appointment. Which was for 6/23/18 between 8 AM and 12 PM. We contacted JCS Technology to make sure someone was showing up. We got a text msg from JCS Technology stating Hi we wont be coming. They will be assigning you to another service center. Sorry for the inconvenience. They got the order mixed up. That was sent on 6/23/18 @ 10:15 AM. I contacted LG again on 6/23/18 @ 10:18 AM and they said they are sending it to their Search Team and it would be 5 business days before we hear anything. I want someone out here to look at the refrigerator. I offered to find someone to look at the fridge and they said they have a search team for that. It will be another 5 days. To sum it up, I have continued to call LG and I continue to be told it will be another 5 days. I have also been told that they have expedited this for me and that I would get a call within 48 hours. I did not get a call. I called again to only be told another 5 days. Today is July 9, 2018. Not a single Tech has been sent to even look at the fridge. I asked LG to let me find someone to look at the fridge, let me pay for it and then LG can reimburse me. LG said that is not listed in their policy and they can not do that...

It looks great the stainless steel fridge, but I have bad experience as if I bought an old car which need fix every 1000mi. I bought this product from the factory floor, a year and half the ice maker fails and purchase the part and replace. Now it is three years old, and completely fail to keep cool anything within, is that not annoying, old model refrigerator wont have this after 10 years or more. This is 3 damn years and wont work right, what a BS is this. 3K is just throw in the dirt, do I trust the repairman do the good job last few more years, I dont think so. I would rather buying other brand and throw the trash. Whoever plan to purchase LG refrigerator be careful, dont trash your money. It looks good in the house kitchen floor but not working good.

I have a top loading LG TruBalance (ha!) Direct Drive. This is my second machine after replacing the first one with the same problem of unbalanced loads. It takes all day to complete a load because it gets out of balance during the spin cycle... comes up with a UE error code. It tries to refill to balance the load then repeats the same problem. I have read many other reviews that describe the same problem. LG is of no help. I will never buy another LG washing machine and would not recommend this product to anyone.

Bought my machine from Home Depot on June 14, 2013. It has never gotten clothes clean or rinsed (unless I run a second rinse) them properly. I thought it was me, my detergent, or water. Changed detergents, added baking soda, and purchased a water softener. Today I was so frustrated with the rust on the bleach dispenser and LGs response to it that I went online to check for other rust complaints. Lo and behold, aloof the problem were listed, including that it takes too long to wash and tangles clothes, particularly any type of pant, terribly. I suspect thats why it gets so many balance errors. Worse part now is rust all around bleach dispenser. LG tells me its because I spill detergent and dont wipe up. You could eat out of my washer and dryer. I keep them so clean. Ive seen many, many rust reviews. This is an issue with the product. It has nothing to do with not wiping up a spill. If there is a class action suit, Id like to join!

2017 FH4U2VCN Front load washing machine - Quite the most unreliable machine I have purchased in 60 years. Constantly stops at the rinse/spin stage with uneven load flagged. After 6 months of this I had LG engineer call and make the usual excuses too much load, too little load, wrong type of mix. What a load of tosh. To placate me he replaced the motor and housing to what seems no improvement whatsoever. It is now 12 months old and unless it is fixed once and for all it will go back to Currys and legal action will follow. The machine fails to complete on average three out of every five washes. At this point Currys is not in the picture as servicing has to go through LGs totally abysmal website where they cant even manage to email you that your complaint has been received - just warning you only to sent report once! What the blazes is that about?

First time I have ever felt compelled to write a review but after reading through so many here and having the worst experience Ive ever had with a Customer Service group I really need to. For the reviewer who said they took a day off to be home for a confirmed (via email) service appointment that was a no-show cancellation because LG never actually had a repair person confirmed - the exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago today... I even called that morning 3 hours into my 4 hour window to verify and was told someone was en route only to find out when I called 90 minutes later I was only then told that the appointment was canceled. I later spoke with the repair facility and they told me they had declined the job because they didnt have availability!Seems Im luckier than most that my LG fridge has gone 8 years without incident. 16 days ago my wife opened it in the morning and it was totally dead. No lights, no compressor, just no power. The outlet tested fine but the lack of lights pointed to it being electrical. I called the toll free number for LG on the inside of fridge and the person seemed helpful enough; Said it probably needed a new motherboard, but because it was out of warranty he would need my credit card details and for $361 we could get this fixed. Thats cheaper than a new fridge so I gave him what I needed and they were certainly very expedient in putting the charge on my credit card! I started to look around on the internet to see if any other reports of this issue and if the fridge could in fact be saved and learned that this whole issue likely stemmed from a small, blown 15 amp fuse... A part that LG soldered into the motherboard rather than put in a easily bracket for easy replacement that could be purchased for about 25 cents. After the no-show appointment, LG Customer Service said they would give the job to another repair facility. They put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and told me they had left them a voicemail and they gave me the phone number and told me that I was free to reach out to them too. I phoned, and left a voicemail around midday that Friday and never received a callback. Over the weekend I phoned and left another voicemail to give them my cell # as well as Id be back at work on Monday and that would be the best number to reach me. By midday on Monday I still had not gotten a call. I did call the number through from the email confirmation the previous week and got a speaking person who gave me the true story on the canceled appointment and told me they could see me on Wednesday afternoon. Confirmed it with them and asked them to contact LG and that I would do the same to let them know that their other company doesnt appear to exist and they need to reassign it to the original technician they schedule. I called LG and was on the phone on hold for most of the time for almost an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes I was disconnected and nobody called me back (all this time Im at work and doing LGs work for them!). I called LG back on my way home and the told me all was good to go.Repairman comes on Wednesday (approximately 1 week since no fridge/contacting LG) after I take a half day to be home and the diagnosis is a blown fuse. Great, but despite it being known from the onset that the motherboard needs to be replaced he doesnt have the part, but they do have 2 in their warehouse and will work with the warranty company on the formalities to try and replace by Friday. No appointment gets made, Repair Service says theyre waiting on LG to approve. I call LG and they tell me another Department cant make the appointment as the Repair Services schedule isnt available online. I call the Repair Service and they tell me nonsense, theyre getting scheduling confirmations from them right now. I call LG back, they tell me theyre now waiting on the Claims Department to approve the part, a process that can take up to 3 business days (this despite charging me almost $400 to replace the part over a week ago).Monday this week comes and I have no phone call, and no appointment. I call LG back and again more being put on hold but now the explanation is were waiting on the part to come in. They couldnt answer me when their Claims Dept approved this so we arrived to this step, nor why we couldnt have had the repair facility (a LG contracted provider!) use one of theirs. They have in stock but Im starting to feel this whole thing is shady. They told me refrigerator repairs are given priority status (a joke!) and that my simple repair was being given a priority to be remedied this week.I called LG back 2 days later (Wednesday, 2 weeks of no fridge and first contact with LG) having not heard back from them and was told that the system shows that I was told that I would be contacted by Friday at the latest if the part had not arrived. I lost my patience at that point and told them I was not told the part coming in would take a full week and that I was instead told that my repair would be a priority to be completed this week and how could we be waiting on a part we knew it needed from the onset, that is readily available to purchase online at a fraction of what Im being charged, and that their repair service was in possession of 2 of them. I told them that rather than trying to bilk a few extra dollars of profit on this 5 minute repair job by using the cheapest available board they can assign in their system they really need to make this a customer resolution case as its been 2 weeks and I need to speak with someone who can look at this absurd situation and make an actual decision to get it fixed. They tell me they will try to forward me to a supervisor to see if they can help. After 10+ minutes on hold the person I was speaking with comes back online and tells me the repair appointment has been made for between 8 AM and 12 PM tomorrow. I thought someone in charge realized and was acting in customer-retention mode until they told me it was not the repairman who had seen me a week ago that would be coming but the one who never returned my 2 voicemails. I asked to confirm for certain hes bringing the board and fully prepared for the appointment to make the repair and am told is the case.I take another half day from work, and the repairman shows up early and when I let him in my house I half-jokingly say to him, Please tell me you have the board and he looks at me with no clue and says he didnt bring anything, the work-order he got only said LG Refrigerator - not cooling. Hes almost as angry as I am that he wasnt told the fridge was totally dead of electric and that another technician had already been here and made the diagnosis. I felt bad for him as he came from a good distance away in the teeth of rush hour having been told to make my call a priority but a total waste of his time and mine. At this point I called LG and just lost it with them and essentially told them their Out of Warranty purchase had to be some kind of scam bordering on criminality as there is no way a real business enterprise could be this incompetent! I was told my account was being escalated to their real Resolution people (i.e. the ones tasked with explaining the inexcusable) and it would take 24 to 48 business hours for one of them to contact me and no doubt the buffer is in hopes that Im much calmer.I have a family of 4 thats been living out of a cooler on my kitchen floor the last 16 days and running out every other night for a new 16 LBS bag of ice. I had to invest in a chest freezer for my garage so that we had some kind of food for my kids on-hand. Ive burned 2 full days off from work and have easily spent more than 3 hours on the phone during business hours on hold with LG. And my fridge is still not fixed, and no appointment in sight for someone to come here and essentially unplug 5 little plugs and then plug the 5 little plugs into the new board. And they charged me almost $400 for this level of service when I could have gotten a new board for $120 and done this myself.I think LG right now on the service front is trying to milk the last nickel of profit on these out of warranty purchases on the assumption it will be the last nickel they see from these customers. Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy experiences like this will make a reality. Maybe the US market isnt working out for LG Appliance as it doesnt seem like their heart is in it for the long-haul.

LG WT1101CW Top load washer - I purchased this washer January of 2014. I read the reviews in consumer reports and that is how I came to purchase this washer. My issue with it is that I feel it has more control over me than I do over it. It uses less water and does not saturate the items and because it uses less water, when you add chlorine bleach it leave chlorine fade marks on white wash as well as a darker wash. This has happened many times and a lot of my items were ruined. I do not believe that Consumer Reports tested this issue on clothing. I have also had to rewash my clothing because the dirt just didnt come out. I currently have sent LG an email with regard to this issue. Today, I just purchased a Kenmore with an agitator and it has a water level that I can choose. Although it is 3.6 cf as opposed to 4.3 cf. submitted by serial number. CHLORINE BLEACH DISPERSEMENT AND WATER LEVEL IS THE ISSUE. I have gotten unbalance codes but machine works and is quiet but I want my laundry clean.

While we were impressed with this refrigerator with its Converta drawer and smart styling inside and out, we have been nothing but disappointed in the quality of this product. Extremely disappointed in the product and the customer service. We purchased this fridge in April/11 and it was delivered in June/11. In July/11, the Converta drawer stopped working and as the fridge was under store warranty. It was replaced with a second fridge same model, in Sept/11. Two weeks after delivery, the freezer drawer on this fridge malfunctioned causing it to open and immediately close without remaining open to remove food items. (Freezer drawer opens when a button is pushed). This fridge was returned and in Oct/11, we received our third fridge of this model. Since Oct/11, this fridge is awaiting its fourth compressor, in 2.5 years. We have been without a fully functioning fridge for most of the lifespan of this fridge. Repair people are unfamiliar with the technology in this fridge, however according to the Sears technicians in conjunction with the LG technicians this fridge is repairable. My question is why does this this fridge always require a compressor annually? Fortunately we purchased an extended warranty on this appliance because I am told the replacement cost of the compressor is approximately $1000.00 plus applicable charges, tax, labor, etc. I regret this purchase immensely mostly because when the warranty expires in 1.5 years, this fridge will be in a landfill site somewhere, sadly.

We purchased an LG French Door, bottom freezer and all the other LG matchin
We purchased an LG French Door, bottom freezer and all the other LG matching products in advance of moving into our new home. Refrigerator, Double Oven, Cooktop, Dishwasher and Microwave. This last Fathers Day the refrigerator did a meltdown during the festivities. By the time dinner was over, so was the refrigeration abilities of a 2 year old $2500.00 appliance. We had purchased a 5 year protection plan. We called the Home Depot with all the paperwork, account, model numbers in hand. After the typical automated system trying to get you to do everything on-line we were finally in contact with someone who pretended to be interested. After the painful research in order to verify our warranty, the finger was pointed at LG. During the transfer to LG and pushing all the buttons to get me to the right department, someone eventually picked up the phone and hung up on me. Back to the Home Depot warranty line, wading through their automated phone system and again on line with a human who gave me more information that was neither warranted or needed, told me that LG would have it fixed in 24-48 hours. I was happy for the moment. Finally, again through the automated System and long wait “because of the virus” I got to speak to someone who again had to verify the existence of our warranty. Oh boy, this is how I wanted to spend my life! I explained, the purchase, warranty, model number, code inside the door, yes it was plugged in, yes the light came on, yes the ice maker had no ice, no there was no cold air when I opened the doors and no the water dispenser was not providing cold water. Yes it was really broken.Three days later, an appliance center 50 miles away called in a very non-English speaking voice called me to confirm that I “had a refrigerator LG that is not working and can be repaired” Yes she did say “refrigerator LG”, if I set an appointment and paid for the repair at the time of service and would have to call LG for reimbursement after the repair. This offer and the person didn’t sound like a viable and credible situation. I asked if they were following up on my Home Depot Claim... no answer.I called Home Depot, went through the automated system again and they said to stay away from this offer and wait for LG To call. And they were so interested, they assigned a “case manager” to my claim, oh boy. My “case manager” called, we went through the whole story, again, and she assured us that she was “on the case”.Two days passed, the mysterious appliance repair shop left an automation voice mail, “We can fix your refrigerator if you call us and authorize us to order the parts. The parts will take about a week to arrive. We can then set up a service appointment”. We called our “case manager” went though another automated system asking us if we would rather find what we wanted “on-line” waited and finally got a real person. Asked for Ashley to which we got silence and “do you know what department she’s in?” More time another explanation of the story and then finally Ashley’s phone rang, and rang and rang and then Ashley’s electronic explanation of how to use the Internet to get answers and how to leave a message for her and she would call right back. She did, seven hours later. She then came to the realization that we had lost all of our food, drinks, and no refrigerator at all! For the last six days. It’s Friday night, but before she goes home for the weekend she’s going to “send an email to our local Home Depot to see if they can let us borrow a refrigerator on Monday” Assuming that we can easily do without a refrigerator til then. I asked if this week long period was typical of the wait for service? She said “unfortunately this isn’t very long at all, it may take weeks”. Tomorrow, Sunday, will mark the seventh day of eating out, buying bags of ice for the milk and juices and regretting we were so naive to spend more money on a warranty, and NOT to go through the product reviews posted by others.

Buyer beware! Rust develops in the top housing of LG washers, starting at the bleach dispenser. It does not matter if you use the dispenser or not, rust will eventually develop there, and elsewhere, on the top and lid of the machine. Eventually rust flakes will get in your wash leaving whites dingy. There is no fix for this problem. It is a result of poor craftsmanship. A class action lawsuit was filed and LG won claiming user problem. Odd how the regular use of their product would be a problem that causes rust. Do not take my word for it alone- search “LG washer rust” and read about loads of frustrated consumers with rust problems starting in the bleach dispenser area, in some cases rusting out altogether. Buyer beware!

In-door features, online connectivity and support reminders lists, Alexa compatibility are features that I like about this refrigerator and the icemaker makes the most perfect ice cube in the most amazing shapes and sizes for the whole families choices. One of the main reasons I finally decided on an LG refrigerator was the sleek design inside and outside. It is purely beautiful in design and a very beautifully functioning machine. The pricing is the first major obstacle to ownership. The size of the refrigerator is another thought to consider for apartment dwellers. It is a large refrigerator but not overly cumbersome in design so it equals out.

I bought a new LG refrigerator Model LFXS29766S from Home Depot for $2700. After only 14 months the compressor failed. The repairman said this compressor was back ordered and it will be several weeks to get a new one installed. Apparently LG has a major reliability problem with this compressor design. Thank goodness for my 25 year old Sears in the garage. It has been running well since day one with absolutely zero maintenance or repair. I will not buy anything from LG in the future.

We purchased a LG front load washer about ten years ago and it has performed flawlessly. I did a good bit of research before buying this washing machine. I wanted a direct drive and not a belt driven machine so as to not have to worry about a belt wearing out. As far as the musky smell a lot of people complain about with front load machines, all you need to do is leave the door open a few inches so the moisture can evaporate and we have never had a problem. Our LG machine cleans our clothes very nicely and with the high speed spin our clothes come out with very little moisture in them.

Worst company by far. We bought a LG fridge 2 years ago worth over $3500 and the fridge broke down over a week ago. I contacted them. They sold me the flat rate which cover parts and labour. The repairmen come on the Monday. I thought was pretty good till he broke the fridge behind repair and told me that is nothing he can do but he said, Dont worry. You have choose the flat rate. They will have to send you a new fridge.A week later nobody get back to me. I had to call them myself. All that wait for someone tell me that they will give $800 toward a new LG fridge. What a joke. They send someone to fix my fridge they broke it behind repair and now I am the one with no fridge. They just dont care. I will tell everyone I know to never buy anything LG. I will never buy LG again ever. I also have two LG tv and a dishwasher. I will put them for sale and buy new one. Never ever again LG will be in my house or anyone I know please do yourself a favour - never buy LG. They are just crooks.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator on 04/25/2017 and we were excited to have the French doors, added space and the two freezer doors. Our previous refrigerator (GE) is still running strong and is well over 10 years old and has had no problems. Less than 3 years of owning our LG, the freezer can no longer reach 32 degrees and the temperature in the refrigerator is 40+ and the ice maker no longer makes ice. It’s disappointing that a refrigerator less than three years old, cost $2,000 and conveniently just recently became too old for warranty coverage is now breaking down. We are currently looking at repair options and have heard it’s likely the compressor and that fix could cost $1000. We will see. I am happy though that we are fortunate to still have our GE refrigerator running strong. Disappointed in the quality and durability of our LG refrigerator. I expected more.

I had a great older dryer... No problems ever and I bought it used! Decided to upgrade to a LG efficiency dryer not expecting it to stop working after a year and a half... But of course after the warranty expired, it stops working 4 months later... After I have somebody come figure out the problem, it will probably cost 200.00... So disappointed in LG products... I feel nothing is ever made right anymore... Made cheaply so youre forced to spend more money on repairs and services...

Just want to chime in here... I just googled I hate my LG refrigerator and am shocked to see so many people PUT OUT, financially, time-wise, logistically... for these EXPENSIVE refrigerators! I had a perfectly good ole side-by-side Whirlpool. Didnt like the freezer, too narrow, couldnt even fit a frozen pizza without taking it out of the box... you probably all know what Im talking about. So my husband buys me this (visually) great-looking LG French door fridge, Christmas last year. 28.8 cubic feet, white and sassy. Pattys in love! Supposedly $3000 but on sale for $1800 at Brandsmart. Still a pretty penny, and I added a 5-year warranty.Last month I was clearing dishes and walked into my kitchen and wiped out in a puddle of water, everything flew everywhere, I landed on my knee... awesome bruise! Lucky I didnt break my neck or cut myself on the wine glasses I was carrying that went crashing to the floor. Angry much? How do I summarize this quickly? Cant! It took two weeks, scads of phone calls (of course ALL calls are taken by someone in Asia and the voice recognition software doesnt recognize the word refrigerator more than half the time and there are no options to actually press a number button)... I lost most of my food, lived out of a cooler, constantly buying ice... when the local fridge repairman came he was GREAT but said it needed a new computer panel. Fine. 3 days later, computer panel installed, fridge working again. More phone calls, claim filed, fought for $150 food reimbursement.STORY OVER? NO! Its happened AGAIN! Puddles on the floor, melted frozen goods... and I am... well, Ill just be nice and say upset! Of course LG is SO SORRY, MAAM... we can get someone over there in 3 days! I must confess to yelling NO WAY! and today (its Monday 10/22 & the fridge started plotzing on Saturday) my friendly repairman came a day early because I WHINED on the phone this morning to them.NOW I NEED A COMPRESSOR! Back to cleaning out freezer and fridge, living out of a cooler and trips to get ice. Should have one in 2-3 days. Somehow this doesnt ease my mind. Ive declared to LG Im telling everyone I know to never buy LG appliances! They dont seem to care... probably because theyre safely 5000 miles away from me! ;o) Enough said? Thank God I bought the warranty because nothing out of pocket yet. I might go ballistic if I have to pay anything for my 10 month old fridge. Looks arent everything! Sorry I broke up with you, Whirlpool! Good luck, everyone! Thanks for reading my novel!

Had nothing but problems from this machine, and with the service provided. Pump broke after 3 months, took 6 weeks to get someone over to fix it. Said they had no service in my area. Took 3 weeks to make an appointment, said computer would not accept, and to call back later. Finally talked to a service man on the phone, told him that I thought it was the pump, he said he thought so to. Shows up next day, yep it’s the pump. (Why not bring one with you)! Got to order one. Be back next week. Pump took 2 weeks to get here. Then another week to get them out to fix it. (Somewhere in the process. I went out and bought a cheaper washer, just to please the wife). The old pump had a straight pin in it, shut it down. Ok, now, after having the washer for over a year, the washer will never just wash the cloths, it stops with a UE error about every time. Took the wife 8 hrs to wash 1 load the other day. Got my service man on the way to try to fix this problem. Let you know how it turns out.

Bought my LG fridge about 6 years ago and started having issues 2 months ago. The compressor went out. Luckily that part is still under warranty. However, 2 compressors later LG still has not managed to get the correct part to the Geek Squad to fix my fridge. First compressor they sent ended up being a television stand. Sorry LG I am not in need of a TV stand. Today the 2nd compressor arrived and it is the wrong one. How hard could it possibly be? How much money are these errors costing LG? I know how much they are costing me and it sucks. So now I have to wait 5 more days before they will come back to my house. I assure you this will be the last LG product I will buy.

We purchased all new kitchen appliances just over 2 yrs ago in Dec 2013. 1st the microwave was delivered dented. They came in and ordered replacement parts which were delivered dented not once, not 2x, not 3x, but 4 times. Then the fridge/freezer stopped making ice, needed a part replaced. The range/oven door glass was developing uncleanable stains in between the front of the door and the inside of the door. Then the oven door started to have a weak seal causing the top of the door to become dangerously hot. My legs were burnt a couple of times when removing items from oven. The door was replaced. The dishwasher stopped working because of a clogged hose. After calling LG for help many times! They sent a tech. And the parts and labor were covered although out of warranty. 2 days later another part went on the dishwasher and again is not working. 1 day after the microwave is not working either!!! Seriously? I cant tell you how many phone calls it has taken to get some positive response from LG. Call after call there was always a reason why they could not help me at that moment and asked that I call back. The customer service is awful! I spoke with several hours, kept me on the phone from 15 to 20 min at a time and half the time they would not even record or take notes of the call! I have missed work and sleep over this and all they can say is we are sorry for the inconvenience. They have no clue. I want these appliances gone! And replaced with another brand. Anything else would be an improvement. Stay away from LG!

I purchased a Brand New LG refrigerator in 2015. In June 2020 the refrigerator stopped cooling. My family was on vacation while this happened so we lost everything in the fridge and freezer. I called LG and they dispatched a technician to come out 5 days later. The technician came and verified that it was the compressor and it had to be order. Weeks later they came back with a compressor that didnt work after waiting 3 days for the refrigerator to cool. A few weeks later the technician came back out with another compressor. After 3 days of waiting, the refrigerator cooled down which was great BUT the ice maker did not make any ice. The ice maker worked perfectly before the original problem. So when I called the technician back, they came out weeks later and verified that it is the ice maker went bad and verified that the part that is needed is discontinued but they could use a used part to fix the problem for $450 including labor and no warranty. Why would I invest $450 additionally when I spent $2557.00 for a brand new refrigerator in 2015 that barely lasted 5 years and losing all my refrigerated and frozen food during a pandemic. Then I find out that the refrigerator was actually manufactured in 2010 and I over paid as this model was suppose to be discounted. At the end of the day, I was royally screwed and LG doesnt seem to care or attempt to own up to this. This whole process was a big inconvenience to my family as it wasted about 4-5 months and end up with my problem not being resolved.

I bought an LG refrigerator model no. GC-305PS on 16th August 2013 in Brisbane. In February 2014 I noticed the paint on the fridge handle peeling off (small spots). End of March 2014, the peeling is getting much worse & I contact LG by phone. I am requested to send photos of damage by EMAIL & did so. One week later I receive an email informing me the peeling is due to “ROUGH HANDLING” & the company is not responsible.I asked a friend of mine (a spray painter) to check it & he informs me the peeling is mainly on the edge & curved surface where the paint has been applied sparingly. Maybe LG should look at better paint application from the get go. Apart from this, SO FAR no other complaints. I have had other LG products (DVD & BLU RAY) & have received good results with repairs. So maybe this is just to do with the WHITE GOODS SECTION.

Weve had it almost a year, the problem was evident from the start; at times the washer would NEVER stop. The first call to LG service said there were no faults in the machine (over the phone code reading) just out of balance load. BUT we were told NEVER put pants AND shirts in the machine together! Err, WHAT!? The second call we were told we were out of the service area, funny; we had asked that from Home Depot BEFORE we bought it. But after a few emails to LG they did find someone and he came out and replaced the computer. Now the machine does finish the load IF and only IF its happy and in a good mood. Balance is really critical and it tries for a long time to rebalance it before giving up. I dont believe there is anything wrong with the washer at this point, it is just a BAD design, STAY AWAY. And the warranty department doesnt really give a damn.

It looks as though it will spread. I have not used any harsh chemicals, cloths, or abrasive scrapers. I have only used the center grate ONE time. I called customer service and was told to call the parts people since my 1 year warranty had expired, I would therefore need to purchase a new grate! Also, the oven is almost impossible to clean. It requires repeated applications of water and now they recommend adding baking soda and repeat again for cleaning. This is a horrible appliance. Also purchased LG Refrigerator and Microwave. Wash machine about a year old died. Most of the time the machine washed clothes for a single man with a white-collar job. So very little clothing once every couple weeks and certainly not soiled at all. Service took 3 weeks to show up and then told the machine is junk by LGs own serviceman and then told part to fix it is discontinued! On a 1-year-old machine? Then constant runaround from LG about a proof of purchase (which I do not have). The machine was purchased at Best Buy with a Best Buy gift card so no credit card or check or other means of proof. Best Buy says they cannot trace gift card purchases. The machine has a 10-year warranty and I only know this because LG told me I registered the machine with the serial number on October 10, 2017. THEY KNOW the machine was purchased and registered for the warranty! I didnt steal it! You cannot walk out of Best Buy with clothes washing machine hidden in your pants pocket! So they know when it was purchased and where it was purchased from. They (LG) have a record of all serial numbers and where they are delivered. Now they refuse to honor the warranty.

My LG washer turned itself on when I was not at home. It filled up with water and because it was not in a cycle the door wasnt locked so the pressure from the water pushed the door open and the water continued to pour out. I came home to my house being flooded, water went through my vents and into my crawlspace. When the repairman came he witnessed the washer doing it all over again! I called LG, they told me to get 2 estimates, send them pictures, fill out documents and send them my old parts and I did. I thought they were going to help. I am now going into my 6th week of them leading me on to believe they are going to help me. They keep saying they have to do testing then they said they had to send the main control panel to Korea for further testing. I have over 30,000 in damages, my daughter is allergic to mold and not one person at LG gives a hoot! I am setting my LG washer & dryer at the end of my driveway (its 3 years old) I will never ever purchase anything with those initials on it again! Their customer service is as bad as their product! Oh it also leaks water from underneath during wash cycle too. The lady asked me at one point what cycle was your washer in when it leaked. On August 25, 2019 my refrigerator started getting warmer and warmer. I called Sears repair but they only had an appointment two weeks out on September 10th so I took it. Thats a long time to go without a refrigerator. However, I read online that LG refrigerators have issues with their compressor so I decided to call LG direct to see if there was any warranty on my fridge I purchased in 2012. After the standard questions...the service agent provided me with a phone number of the local repair person for LG. I called Lilo and he was able to come out the very next day. He confirmed it was the compressor and then tested the motherboard to make sure the software would be compatible with the new compressor which it was, whew. My problem with this machine, is that Ive never seen a wash machine take so long to wash a load of clothes! If I use the Speedwash feature, which is supposed to be a 35-minute cycle, it will take nearly two hours to wash the clothes. Loads that I know should take longer, like extended soak cycles, stain removal cycles, extra rinse or extended spin cycles, extend the wash cycles into hours and hours. Im dissatisfied with this purchase and I have seen so many complaints that I know I wont get the matter resolved to my satisfaction. I remember when this company went under the brand of GoldStar. I didnt like the look of their appliances back then and they were known as cheap. We purchased an LG washer. I love the fact that without the middle paddle you can wash large items like king size spreads and comforters and all the clothes actually are treated more gently. I do not like buying new if the old is still working. Being able to get parts and having really good people who can and will work to keep the old model going. Regular repairs is a nightmare. Been there and done that, days without your appliance and you have to wash most days to keep the family in clean clothes and towels etc. Also low quality construction, which usually means noise pollution and the appliance walking all over the floor or pulling loose from the connections and the room being flooded. This LG washer that I bought was the same price as for the Maytag that I had purchased 20 years before. It is high quality construction, stays where it is supposed to when it spins. Large size drum that washes very small loads with much less soap and water, or very large items like winter coats, king size bedding, comforters, etc. One thing I do not like is that everything rinses in cold water no matter which setting you use, and I like to be able to decide what temperature I want for the wash cycle and the temperature I want for the rinse. But all in all, that is the only thing I do not like about these computer controlled washers.

I remodeled my kitchen and used all stainless steel LG appliances in my kitchen and have add issues with ALL of them. I will always advise friends not to buy LG appliances. The knobs, all five, on my LG stove broke almost immediately and they are $75.00 ea. to replace. I will not buy these knobs because the inside is plastic and will break again and at $75.00 ea. it is too expensive to have to keep replacing them. I have had to replace the motherboard on my dishwasher. The handle on the microwave broke off and now my French door refrigerator went out. Could be the fuse, which was replaced, or the condenser which means I have to buy a new refrigerator. I have tried contacting both Home Depot and the manufacturer directly with no success. These appliances are made in South Korea and are made rather shabbily... look good on the outside but the insides suck. Dont buy these appliances. Shame on Home Depot!

This microwave caught fire while steaming vegetables. We heard a snapping sound followed by the entire inside space bursting into flames. I was able to extinguish with no damage except to the microwave. Since the unit was only 10 months old and still under warranty I called LG. Their response was immediate and a technician (tech) was at our home the next day. Upon arrival and inspection he made a few comments: (1) Why did we clean up the damages inside the unit? (2) What happened? (3) I need to call home office to talk to inside Tech.He made the call as we stood there and a Tech on the phone asked him to send a video from his phone with instructions from the Tech on the phone. Once completed he hung up and said this unit is fried and needs to be replaced but two Techs from home office had to review. Ten minutes later they called back saying it was customer error due to GREASE FIRE and they would not repair or replace. My only choice was to escalate the claim to LG management which I did. After sending them store receipt I asked for the denial and reason in writing which they absolutely refused to give me. The next day they emailed me to say they set up a Return Authorization Review and I should hear from them within 2-3 business days. It is now five business days with no response!I went to the store where I purchased the LG microwave, gave them my notes and asked for help. Once reviewed by store and they seen what LG was putting me through they said they would replace the unit. Would you buy another LG product after reading about this runaround? I would not but I certainly will purchase again from Best Buy as they stood behind a product that the manufacturer, LG in this case, would not.

They do not stand behind their product. Had issues with the washer the day we installed it. It leaked. Leak has stopped for now. Took over a month to get someone out to look at it. Repair person said they were ordering parts. Have not heard back from him. The washer works for now but what happens when it breaks down again? We have contacted LG several times and have gotten the runaround every time. They will not even give you an email you can reply to. DO NOT BUY LG. The company we purchased the item from has been very helpful. They even contacted LG several times.

I have been married for 40 years with four children and countless loads of laundry. Most of my washers and dryers have been maytag and lasted 10-15 years with few if any repairs. This LG top loader is the worst machine I have ever bought. I purposefully did not buy a front loader because of problems with odors I had heard about. Well I guess a top loader can Smell really bad too. I dont understand how in 2016 we dont know how to make a washer that drains properly. This is a lemon and I will be selling it soon and buying a good ol Maytag. I just lost a lot of money on this one. They should recall all their machines until they figure out and fix the problems.

I bought an LG Refrigerator in 5/2011. Three months out of warranty and I spent $533.00 today to fix 3 parts. Now fridges are supposed to last 10-12 years. There’s only one person in the house so it is not abused. I called and of course outsourcing. I spoke to the executive complaint department. If I didnt have the repairman fixing it, they would consider possibly helping out. Since my repairman was repairing the flawed parts, and the refrigerator was warm, how much longer should I wait for their technician to come out? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against LG since so many people have complaints about their product. The parts are cheap, they break. This wasnt a couple of dollars to just throw away but with the repair cost, should I have bought another refrigerator? What is going to go next?

I got my LG washer in 08/09. Its now 3 to 4 years old. I had paid good money for this thing. It started banging and we thought it was the bearings. We tested it to check if it was the bearings that seemed to be the problem. We ordered the parts costing to some $80. My husband and son, who do small engine repair work, took everything apart to install them. Well, once the bucket was removed we found out that the T-bracket that is attached to the drum was also completely rotted. Seriously, they gave warranty for the bucket but not for the bracket. So even though it says, Stainless steel bucket and warranted, the bracket is not. Avoid LG at all costs! Waste of my money!

I purchased a DLEX3250W model LG dryer in December of 2014. I have had problems with lint screen since early on. The screen does not fit its holder and clothes will catch on the corner and twist when drying causing the clothes to wrinkle terribly. During Memorial weekend of the year (2016) when drying towels, the dryer stopped heating. When I contacted the LG technician, I was very disappointed with the fact that I could hardly understand him, and he did not seem to know anything except what he was reading. He said that it may be the electric plug and we probably needed to call an electrician. We tested the plug and it was fine. He also said something about lint buildup and that was untrue. We ended up purchasing a new Maytag dryer since we had family up for the weekend. I am very disappointed in this purchase and will not buy another LG product again.

We join the ranks of U.S. consumers writing to bring awareness of the fact
We join the ranks of U.S. consumers writing to bring awareness of the fact that LG is not supporting their warranty for refrigerators that have cooling failure. After working with the company directly for 35 days, they still have not come through. There’s no hope in sight. The refrigerator is 4 yrs. old, costing $3,500. Model number LMXS30776S, 29.7 cu. Ft. French Door-In-Door Stainless Steel w/ Custom Chill Drawer. It was 9 days for them to find a company for servicing. LG scheduled, cancelled 3 appointments. We waited 23 days more, no one showed up today. The service company, A&E and LG blame each other, we are in the middle. Failure to show up for servicing is a common problem amongst consumers. If you read any “canned” response after this complaint, for us to call LG directly, been there. We write because of their epic fails. We are at a financial loss in time, our initial investment and food. I have never seen a company behave so badly. I don’t understand why companies continue to sell LG. We hope someone with authority will hold LG accountable, put a stop to them selling unsupported, defective product in the U. S.

When I went looking for a refrigerator, the one from LG looked like the bet
When I went looking for a refrigerator, the one from LG looked like the better one to get because of the price. But I’m sorry that I bought it. The filter goes out almost every month that youd have to put a new one in because I had the water in the front. It’s supposed to last six months and it doesnt even last three. The shelves are smaller than I thought they were, and you can’t put anything on the doors. It doesnt even hold a bottle wide enough. It’s a lot smaller than it looks. Also, you can’t even look at them in the stores anymore. You can’t open and look at them and there’s just so much cubic foot. Not everybody knows what a cubic foot is. You just order it and they send them to you. So, you’re stuck with it. It’s ridiculous. The reps from LG were horrible. They just said yes and did nothing and then turned it over to this place in New Jersey to fix it. I constantly called them, and they were nasty. I finally got one girl in there that was very friendly and explained everything to me. She said that LG compressors were very bad and they knew about it. They just keep putting it off. I called about my refrigerator three different times, and they kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it until it finally died and it was only a year and a half old. It’s ridiculous because the compressor had a seven-year warranty on it. Now that they had put a new compressor in after a year and a half, they said I no longer have a warranty. That’s it. If this one goes, I will never buy another LG again.

The fridge was not cooling and my food was getting spoiled. I called LG and they sent the local technician three times. They also sent different types of parts. Then, the local technician tried to fix it, but they couldnt. Finally, I was told they couldn’t do it and LG was going to replace the refrigerator. I called LG and they told me that they would have to send their own technician. That took almost two months and finally, the LG technician came to my house and changed a part.At that period, I lost a lot of food and the medications of my mom and my son. I bought every day from the store so I lost almost $1,500. I followed up with LG and they told me they were going to compensate me for 1,500. After the refrigerator was fixed, they called me and told me they can pay only $250 reimbursements food loss. Right now, the refrigerator is working but my main concern is who’s going to pay for my loss. I have too many problems and at the same time, I got a refrigerator problem. It’s too much headache.

I bought an LG bottom freezer fridge. I immediately noticed a high pitched whine noise whenever the compressor was running. LG gave me a big runaround but finally sent a tech to check it out. They gave a deposition that it was a normalnoise. All I know is that you can hear it all through the house and is extremely annoying. Potential purchasers be warned. If you dont like a noise that goes through your head like a spike, stay away from LG.

We purchased an LG washer and dryer set at Home Depot and within two weeks
We purchased an LG washer and dryer set at Home Depot and within two weeks and only a few washes the washer leaks from the front. We had to pay an LG technical person $145 to come to our house and tell us it was because we have a dog and he said even a single dog hair in the door seal will make the front door leak. If you own a dog - this is a really terrible option for a washer. Apparently you need to clean the rubber seals and door after every wash and its virtually impossible to clean dog hair off of the rubber gasket in the front. Its still leaking and neither Home Depot or LG will take the product back. Too bad they cant at least pay for my water damaged floors. I can also add that the dryer is the noisiest I have ever owned. Also not recommending it. Maybe a Maytag from Sears next time?

While working for my employer on the 9th floor, I smelled an electrical burning/fire coming from our snack room. I wasnt sure which machine it was coming from (snacks, soda, countertop water dispenser, coffee maker, or refrigerator). I later learned that the clock on the LG microwave was out and it was humming. When I opened the door of the microwave, the rotating glass was broken in pieces and the microwave was extremely hot like an oven. I immediately unplugged it, reported it to the leasing office and they notified the fire department. We are not replacing this microwave with another LG.

We bought this refrigerator less than 2 years ago (12/2016). A few weeks ago it stopped cooling. A serviceman from the store where we bought the refrigerator came out to service it, and said the coil with the refrigerant was leaking. BUT, he couldnt fix it because LG only lets its own servicemen fix this problem (according to the serviceman thats because so many LG refrigerators refrigerant coils leak). The serviceman said LG would contact me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. 3 days later we hadnt heard from LG. We again called the store where wed purchased the refrigerator and then said they would call LG directly. Even then (after a week without a refrigerator) LG jerked us around. First, someone would be out the next day. Then 3 days later. After someone finally came and fixed the refrigerator, it stopped working again 3 days later! This time we went directly to the store where we had purchased the model, and they agreed to replace the refrigerator. LG wont do squat to rectify their defective product. DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR.

I liked most features such as the touch screen to change my water temp and the temp inside my fridge and its drawers. If I want the meet at a certain temp I can tekk it the temp I want. I didnt dislike hardly anything on that product. I really love temp control from the outside of the product itself. I dont have to stand in the cool air and then decide if I need to rearrange things before I will be able to accomplish what I wish. I would buy another one so yes it met my initial expectations as it keeps fruit ripe and veggies from fermenting. I can hold veggies for weeks before they are black.
