We purchased an LG front load washer and dryer and they both work fairly well. However, the front of the washing machine is rusting! Yes rusting, right by the soap dispenser. It sounds ridiculous that after 4 years the machine is rusting, but worse than that was the companys response. LG does not care. They act like they care, they tell you they care, they express their sorrow, but they wont fix the issue. They do absolutely nothing! They expressed to me that I must continually dry that area. In the manual it tells you to keep it dry! Not that the design is bad, not that the dish should not leak, but that by not constantly drying that area it could rust! I asked if they ever heard of this happening and they said no. Then I searched online and found out, that was not the case. This is absolutely a problem! A $1,000 problem. Supposedly a reputable company but what a piece of garbage! My last LG experience for sure!

I bought my new LG topload washer and dryer on 7/1/12 and noticed after about a week that my white clothes werent getting clean. I turned my tankless heater up to 140 and put my sheets into wash. I went to add a pair of socks and noticed the water was barely warm. My heater is fine so on the next hot load, I watched when the washer was filling and it was putting more cold water in than hot! I called LG Support line and they said that was how it was supposed to be and I should try putting it on the bulky bedding setting. I did and it had no effect. I called Sears because when I bought it, they said I had a 90-day return option. They said, yes you do, but since I used the washer, I couldnt return it! I will never do business with Sears or buy another LG product. I would imagine the front loaders are the same but it would be impossible to check.

Refrigerator model LMX 28988ST - The manual for the appliance states that all sealed components are covered by a 7 year warranty for parts. Our freezer failed and on calling LG, we were required to pay $195 under their One Price program for all parts & labour associated with the service call. The technician deemed that the part was not repairable and that the entire appliance has to be replaced. LG now claims that the paperwork side of this takes 10 business days to resolve and we will only get a Prorated value of the appliance. To me, its simple - a part covered by warranty must be repaired, replaced, or the consumer otherwise kept whole. One thing is certain - I may be forced into a replacement LG unit, but is the last LG product of any kind I will ever buy.

Our fridge died after 15 months. It took 3 days for LG tech to come out and change the compressor. After 3 weeks second compressor went down too. Again another tech came out and replaced the compressor. And now here is the nightmare. As soon as tech left unit started making a loud banging noise. Called LG again and same tech came out. Worked on it and left. It took less than 30 minutes for noise to come back. Next day same tech comes out and worked on it but he really didnt know what was wrong. He left and same problem. The banging is so loud that we can hear it from our bedroom. It got so bad that I had to pull out the unit and unplug at 3 am. And now LG sending the same tech out for the 5th time. My refrigerator is 3 years old. Cooling system is not working, just disposed of about $400.00 worth of food. I called LG Customer service, they cannot get a technician to come and diagnose it for one week, then they order the part and come back to fix. The service person told me that LG is having a big issue with their refrigerator‘s cooling system, and have extended their warranty from 1 to 5 years. They are so backed up with service calls, they are fully booked. Do not buy an LG refrigerator!

LG front load washer (WM0642HW) - The washer vibrates horribly when in the spin cycles! Our whole house shakes! You can hear the vibration outside the home! The floor vibrates when washer is in spin cycle! We have bought several different kinds/brands of shock-absorbers and installed them under each leg of the washer. Still no help! This is obviously a manufacturing defect. We called LG and they sent a certified LG appliance repair man to our home. All he would tell us was: LG makes a great product and use less than half the recommended amount of detergent to control the ‘smell’.” This is my second contact to you. Do you have other complaints against LG for this same problem? LG should replace my unit. I am willing to trade down just to get rid of this vibration! I have matching dryer. Together, these appliances were $1900.00!

I have an LG refrigerator that has the known compressor issue. It failed within 3 years. Customer service was difficult to deal with. They eventually shipped part & agreed partial payment for repairs. From The LG authorized repair list given nobody would come & repair it for months ahead. I finally found a repair service available. With the consent of LG customer services I did the repair for $650. Submitted a receipt & was only reimbursed $200. Yet LG in court said “labor covered for 5 years”. Now at 5.5 years the product failed again. I spoke with customer service. They stated as an “unauthorized repair service was used all warranty is void”. Yet they knew who I was going with for the repair, have a copy of the receipt on file & previously authorized a partial labor payment. What a slippery way to get out of liability for a known product design defect. Customer services then terminated the call. If this is the treatment you want if/when your product fails, which it most likely will if it has a Linear motor, you have been warned.

Pity theres not a less than 0 stars option. I do several loads of laundry a week for a family of five. The washer doesnt even wet the clothes: I mean the clothes are actually dry in the middle of the load; only the outside of a medium-sized load gets wet. I called LG. When I told the repair guy that the washer didnt get the clothes wet, he checked it and said nothings wrong, thats just how it goes. Here is the proper way to use this washer: Pretreat and load clothes. Run water in laundry room sink until hot; fill a bucket with soapy water, and pour over clothes in machine to make sure they get wet. Set washer to: cotton, pre-wash, extra high heat, highest spin speed, heavily soiled, water plus, and turn on the machine. Wait two and a half hours, and then repeat. Thats right--about two and a half hours to get a load done, five to get them more-or-less presentable. Cold is cold; tap cold--whatever that it--is cold, warm is cold, hot is cold, extra hot is actually hot.I emailed Energy Star: they said that if I have a problem with the machine I should call the manufacturer. When I explained that the machine was working to spec--that it was designed that way--they explained that they DONT TEST the Energy Star machines to make sure they do the job theyre supposed to, they rely on the manufacturer to confirm that the appliance does the job its supposed to AND meet Energy Star requirements. Somebody needs to clue in the EPA and Energy Star: if you have to wash every load twice, in blazing hot water, and replace the appliance every 3 - 5 years (typical of modern machines) youre not saving resources. Getting rid of this and getting an old-fashioned Speed Queen.

Avoid if possible. Bought a washer and dryer pair. It arrived fine and the washer seemed to have mounted great. When it came time for the dryer after the installation, the dryer started giving errors about the ducks being blocked. First checked the actual installed duck work, that didnt help; then removed the dryer from atop the washer and removed the exhaust altogether, this also did not remove the issue. Started contacting the LG support, after some back and forth; reset the machine a couple of times and this also caused no breakthrough. They scheduled a technician to come in 3 days from then. The day the service was supposed to be done, I took a day off work and had a 2 hr time slot. The time slot came and when with no technician. Ive contacted the support again about why he did not show up. They provided me with no concrete reason as to why, and no explanation why they didnt even contact me about it. More back and forth on how to solve this issue and as it turns out they cannot even rebook me for another time slot; since there are no open slots. So now, Im two weeks into not be able to use a dryer with no time that a technician can come in to fix it, and support who dont really care if this gets solved. All of this on a $2500 purchase of a brand new set. To summarize avoid buying LG.

Back in about June of 2017 my husband and I purchased a new stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. As of today, August 14th, 2020, we have had to purchase a new dishwasher, which we waited about 6 months for the so-called part to come in, which ultimately did not fix the problem. By that time we were so fed up with LG, we said forget and purchased a different brand. Next is our stove, ha! The stainless steel has scratches and the black flat top is terrible looking, oh and the self cleaner is a joke! On to the refrigerator. We have had a technician out 5 times to troubleshoot the ice maker. Today, realized the compressor is now bad and are waiting for a new one to come in. Lastly, the microwave lights stopped working almost immediately. We thought at first it was some kind of energy saver since they would go off and on periodically. Unfortunately, it was yet another defect in our LG bundle of crap. We will NEVER purchase LG products again.

I just remodeled my home. They started in November, and I got to the kitchen part of it in December, and I had to go and get a new refrigerator, stove, and a microwave, so I just bought the bundle. I was gonna go with Samsung, and the lady that was at Home Depot said that LG is better and that she could give me a deal on it. I just bought the bundle of refrigerator, microwave and oven. I havent had a problem with the microwave or oven, but the refrigerator is disappointing. It was the freezer part of the refrigerator that I have a problem with. At first, I picked out one that didnt have the icemaker, and it was sold out by the time I got back to purchase it. And so, the lady set me up with the refrigerator I have now. They put it in in December, and I started having trouble and noticed some things were going on in February. Then in May, it was really not freezing the bottom half, but I like the freezer part of it. My old refrigerator had the freezer on top, and I like the bottom freezer, but it just doesnt work. I do like the icemaker feature and when it was making ice. I also like the water part of it, and then the freezer thats in the bottom. Its a nice refrigerator. It was kinda top of the line, and then the lady gave me a little bit of a discount on it, so we have then paid for it.There was a technician out here who was checking it out. LG sent him out, and they figured out it was the temperature gauge, but he said in 2020 they are coming out with the new coolant for the refrigerator. So, I dont know if that would make a difference, but it isnt gonna help me because the reason they couldnt replace that is that they said they didnt have technicians to do it, so it might be something new. Also, I just got an email from Mat, and he said theyre still figuring out whether theyre give me the refund or a replacement. I know I took a little time. I didnt know how to take pictures of my papers and download them to him. I figured that out, and I finally got it to him yesterday. He replied back that he gave it to his boss, and theyre still looking it over.

We purchased our LG refrigerator on 09/02/10, the first call for repair was on 9/28/10. The problem was the light in the refrigerator being off. It was supposedly fixed. The next call for repair was 10/27/10 for the same problem. It was supposedly fixed again. For the record, it still goes out on occasion, we were told this is a problem with LG refrigerators. The next service call was 09/01/11. This time, the refrigerator was too warm, going up to 50 degrees. Thank God we still had our old fridge in the basement we could transfer our food to. The technician told us the cause was freezing up in the tube that transferred cold air from the freezer to the fridge. He thawed everything out, and it worked okay till recently. I called for repair again for the same problem. Thanks to our old Kenmore in the basement which kicks the LGs **. Thank heaven we purchased an extended warranty. When I called this last time, I complained to the person I was talking to, saying I think we deserve a new fridge, her reply was we can extend our warranty. Give me a break. Reading these other complaints, I dont think a new LG would solve our problems. We would just get a new set of headaches. Needless to say, I will never purchase an LG product again, and would never recommend them to anyone!

Or if there is a space behind that is not solid (I have no idea) but this ABSOLUTELY WAS NOT done by us. We take VERY good care of our stuff... My mother had a fridge that basically did this same thing over time. When I called LG they said it is cosmetic and they will not help me. I do not like the look of this obviously, so I asked them to at least give me a price on a new door. Our compressor and coil failed on our 4 1/2 year old fridge. We bought the fridge from Lowes Canada with a 4 year extended warranty. About 2 years ago the fridge stopped working, all the food spoiled. We called the repair company and they fixed it. Just recently the fridge died. LG said they would send out a repair person in about a week! All the food spoiled. LG said the repair man would call us to schedule when he would be coming. The day before he was supposed to come, LG cancelled our appointment without telling us and said they need the repair man elsewhere and they would reschedule the appointment for TWO weeks later. Who does that to their customers? We called Lowes and freaked out. They sent over another repairman who said the compressor and coil were pooched. 3 weeks we waited for him to come back to fix it. In the mean time we purchased another fridge to put in the basement so we could get back to normality (not LG Brand). The fridge is fixed with new compressor and coil but the compressor will not stop running. LG and Lowes have both washed their hands and said there is nothing else they can do! I’ll I can hear in my house I’d the constant hum of the fridge all the time. I have never had such a bad experience with LG and Lowes Canada in my life. Too many apologies and no action. Talk is cheap! Stand behind what you build and stand behind what you sell. I am a small business owner and would never treat my customer that way. Brutal. Thinking about legal action to hold these companies accountable.

I purchased this LG washing machine, Model WT1101CW on May 29, 2014, from Best Buy. It was a replacement for my 20+-year-old Sears Kenmore washer. The LG machine does not clean my clothes because I believe, it does not supply enough water. I called LG to complain and was asked if the water supply line was metal or the flexible hose. My reply was metal, so LG told me it may help to replace it with the flexible! LG/Best Buy installed the machine, it is their responsibility to provide the suitable hose. However, was told that they would not pay to replace or reinstall. I was also told I may get more water if I washed everything on the Bulky cycle. Our LG refrigerator (LFW31925SW) has stopped cooling/freezing. After reading the MANY reviews, I am very concerned. I do not want to put $500 - $1000 in repairs (even though it is still under warranty) just for it to happen again. It appears that there is a Class Action Lawsuit about this problem but my model is one of the excluded models - Also excluded are consumers who bought LG refrigerator models of which fewer than 1,000 units were sold “or for which the service rate for No-Cooling Events was less than 1% of sales,” the settlement says.. The second time, the repair people said to call LG to get labor covered. I called. First guy took information and said he would call back in an hour after talking to the supervisor. No call 3 hours later so I called again. This person gave me a completely different story and had me do completely different steps including sending in a picture of my receipt of purchase. I did and she said someone would contact me 3-5 business days later. 10 business days later I call to find out the claim had been rejected but theyd be happy to send someone out to fix it with us having to pay for both the compressor and the labor. I told them no thanks. We would be buying a new fridge that was NOT LG.

They tell me since the part which was on back order for 3 weeks and suddenly arrived without warning, DURING the time period they were reviewing for my replacement which is 3-5 business days, that I have to start all over with another 3-5 business days to review for replacement YET AGAIN. Ive been 4 weeks without a washer. The customer service reps sound like robots reading from a script. They dont even sound human. This part that suddenly arrived without warning during this period when I thought I was receiving news that I could go pick up my new washer? Well, nobody even told me it was coming. The repairman, Ron, didnt even bother to tell me it had arrived at his house yesterday. He had this part and couldnt come out to my centrally located home for another week! Spent over $5500.00 for all new LG Appliances. Makes me question my purchases.

DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS! THEY CANT BE FIXED... Our 5 year old LG washer conveniently stopped working only 2 months after the factory warranty expired. How did this highly tech washer with cell phone connection (pic) with LG FAIL right after the warranty ended? We called the Authorized LG REPAIR company to fix it and after 4 months and 5 visits, the Authorized LG repair company using the built-in high tech cell phone support (pic), could not fix this washer... And it cost us over $400. in non-warranty parts (pic) and service. Our LG washer still does not work and LG support has NO SOLUTION to the problem. As a less than generous offer, LG Corporation has offered us only a 15% rebate on another LG washer purchase. NO THANK YOU!! DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS! THEY CANT BE FIXED!

After reading the reviews here, I realize I am not alone. We bought our LG oven prior to buying the LG dishwasher.... a few years apart. Initially, I did not have any real problems with the stove/oven EXCEPT that the control panel cracked shortly after we got it, like a month. Fine, everything else was working. We let it go. BUT, now we are having serious issues & of course, they all came to the surface right before this holiday season. Just before Thanksgiving, the stovetop burner would not turn off. I thought it was just my husband being an idiot as he was rushing out of the house making a Jambalaya for the Giants’ pregame tailgate. However, it turns out he wasnt making it up.... It was hot for a long time and would not turn off. HS, hot surface, was the code but the burner was glowing bright red as if it were on HIGH. Took forever to clean that pan. My Le Creuset no less. Then after that, the oven started burning everything and cooking things funny. Burnt on the outside and mushy, undercooked on the inside. Last night, I tried again to use oven.... F-9 error came up. I turned it on and off. Yes, that was my solution in the moment. Now I see that the ovens with that specific warning are a SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD. The ovens catch fire from the malfunctions according to other reviewers. This is shocking and a real issue. I have 3 kids. Honestly, I cant believe Home Depot carries LG after reading all these other accounts of LG breaking down & just not working. So, no holiday cookies or turkey this holiday season b/c my oven that is LESS than 4 years old malfunctioned & is a piece of crap!!!!!!! No food memories with my kids that you daydream about, look forward to with holidays approaching. Nope! Hopes and dreams dashed by LG. And forget about getting a repairperson to come to work on LG. I called several places in the area, and they practically hung up on me when I said I had an LG. As the previous reviewers noted, repair must be done by certified LG contractor. Finally had Ultra Wiz (recommended through LG consumer support) came to take care of the LG dishwasher, which I stupidly bought not realizing LG sucks. The LG dishwasher is quite possibly the worst dishwasher I have ever had. Pretty much had problems with it after 6 months. Within 18 months now, I have had the dishwasher serviced 3x. Ridiculous. As I write this, I am on hold with LG begging for a refund for the stove but that will probably only happen when hell freezes over. Nope, as usual... They say I have to pay for repair and then my case will be presented for evaluation by said mystery higher up. So, I have to spend more money on junky LG product to even get consideration for a refund.... I would take half of what I spent on the stove at this point and put it towards a product that actually works. The only reason I am not stark raving mad is b/c we are about to renovate our current kitchen, and I am getting new appliances anyway. BUT STILL LG is horrid. Never again will I recommend, let alone, buy another single LG product. NEVER. I wish we could ban together and sue LG. Btw, the CEO Bon-Joon Koo is worth 840 million! No wonder he looks so happy in all the photos.

My daughter and I bought a house with new appliances, (LG) the refrigerator
My daughter and I bought a house with new appliances, (LG) the refrigerator worked for 9 months but it was three months old when we started using it. When it failed, we called LG and they said it is out of warranty, you can hire an independent technician or hire us to diagnose the appliance. We hired someone who said it had a defective piece from fabrication. We called back to LG, they said they will repair for $400 where they will include the defective piece. I paid ($400) and they sent their technician who came and in a 5 minutes visit he said he came just to learn what was the problem, he would be back (one month already in this process). The next days we received a phone call from LG saying they wouldnt repair it because someone already put their hands on it and that we can expect $200 hundred refund (from my $400 I just paid) because the visit costs $200.How sad, how unfair, with my daughter a young person struggling to pay her bills receiving a treatment like this one. Now she has been more than a month with no refrigerator, lost the money she paid for the first technician and again the same amount by having LG putting their hands into her account in such a way. Their only suggestion is to buy a new one. Can I expect a little of justice for my daughter? I m planning to write a letter to the CEO but I know the chances for him to never read it are higher that the opposite. I hope you can do something about it.

Now without a sales receipt, no warranty service. I know that they can tell when the unit was manufactured from the serial number but no receipt, no warranty. Ill never purchase another product from LG, no matter what it is. Its a shame, as I was going to upgrade to stainless after the new year.

Updated on 05/19/2019: April 29 was my first review. TOMORROW will DAY 35 without our LG refrigerator. No tech licensed at first with dealing with LG then they offered an in store credit but sent file to Assurance and they sent a tech. Had to wait on parts. LG would not RUSH them. Finally parts in. Had to make appt. Replacing compressor, main PC and therm. $1,100.00. I paid $1,500.00 for fridge. Thursday after approximately 4 hours with service repairman it is finally fixed. Today the fridge is WARM Inside. ITS BROKEN ALREADY. ALL I WANTED WAS A NEW FRIDGE. ITS DAY 35 TOMORROW!!!! PEOPLE should get to see all of the review replies I have done with LG. Not just the first one. I have 8 pages of notes of phone calls on this fridge. How many weeks is a acceptable to wait. I just wanted an in store credit....Updated on 05/02/2019: April 30 posted complaint with lack of service on my refrigerator. April 30 LG quickly responded asking for my telephone number. May 1 I responded. THEN nobody phones. This is now day 18 and no fridge. Please give me an in store credit and perhaps a FREE 4 year extended warranty to make things right. I offered a repairman’s name to you but no you didnt have a contract with him. Yet you did not have any licensed tech for a compressor.Original Review: We are now at day 14 without a fridge. LG doesnt care. Days went by before they said they didnt have e a licensed tech for compressor. More days went by before given an approval number for in store credit then, I was told Assurance Solution Insurance co would take file now. They then decide there is a repair man to diagnose it. Fridge stinks and still waiting to hear what is to be done. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. Should have been looked after within 2 to 3 days. Its a fridge not a microwave.

I bought my LG Electric range just over a year ago. We knew the front knobs were very sensitive but didnt realize how bad until it my husband was cleaning the kitchen, set the Ninja on the stovetop while cleaning the island. Seems he leaned against the knobs and 2 turned on. He went out to empty the trash and by the time he got back in, we had fire. Both Ninja and Range were burned beyond repair. Our new backsplash will have to be repaired. Well need to repaint some. But no one was hurt. No pets hurt. I immediately, naively wrote to the President of LG. Nothing. Tried again a couple days later. I did receive a phone call from a Sheena Turner in Alabama with the title of President Liaison/Voice of Customer. She said she could send someone out but needed the serial #. Theres NO SERIAL NUMBER on the range. Isnt that convenient? Both my husband and I have gone over the range several times. Ive taken pictures and sent to her to prove theres no serial number. Thats when she stopped communicating. So, oh well. She cant help. So like the rest of their customers with this problem, Im just screwed and they dont care. Then I visited Consumer Affairs to see if we were the only ones with this problem. Apparently allot of us have the same problem. So I sat down, copied and pasted to Word every review that pertained to the knobs, back 4 years, 52 bad/frustrated reviews. Ive printed out and will write a letter to Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy and The Consumer Product Safety Commission with copies of the 16 pages of reviews I have. This will be sent USPS certified mail to each with return receipt to make sure each received.I want to be sure each of the retail stores know they are selling dangerous products and the CPSC surely needs to take a look at this. Maybe nothing will come of it, but these stores need to be put on notice and when something bad does finally happen and sadly it will. contact me. Ill have proof they were notified. For me, Im tossing the range. I wont have it in my house and its damaged anyway. My last email to Ms. Sheena (she hasnt returned an email since I told her I cant find a serial number on my range). How are you going to feel when someone dies in a fire caused by an LG range. You work for this company. Are you going to be able to look yourself in the mirror? No response. Here are pictures of my Ninja and Range after the fire.

Purchased LG refrigerator model LFXS24623S in March 2017. After 3 months, the ice maker would not work properly, (would not tumble ice into bin). Service man replaced ice maker. Waited 24 hrs, checked for ice, no ice! Called again, and same service man came, checked everything, replaced entire unit. Checked next day, still no ice. Same service guy came again, ( I knew him by name by now), said there was a problem with this particular serial number line, he had just received an update by email, replaced entire unit once again, you guessed it, still no ice in bin. Bill, (not his real name) said there was nothing he could do other than replace the fridge. Customer service called sometime later to confirm the replacement to be done at end of August. By 1st of August, freezer would not keep food frozen. Some stuff froze others didnt. By date of this posting, all food in freezer had thawed. We had to throw all the meat products out. We are now waiting for the replacement and hope this one actually does what its supposed to do. Im hoping we just got a lemon as can happen with any products. One other thing, the customer service rep we spoke with did not seem very sympathetic but seemed to treat our phone calls with total indifference.

It had a leaking Tromm front loader. This ruined my 180 sq. ft. of ash hardwood flooring costing approximately $2000.00. After the floor was replaced and a pan placed under the machine, I have noticed that it fills up about once a week. This leak is coming from the dispenser tray! I noticed water and soap residue on the inside of the front panel that had also caused the door hinge to start rusting. After closer inspection of the dispenser during operation, I can see water hitting the angled section of the tray and running over the side. LG said a repair tech would have to fix this, but without a newly designed part, it will just do the same thing again. This is not caused by too much soap as some might suggest because it does this with or without adding soap! The only solution I see is to buy another brand after spending over $1000.00 a year for a poorly designed product.

The cast aluminum spider connecting the motor to the stainless steel tub in
The cast aluminum spider connecting the motor to the stainless steel tub in LG front load washers disintegrates due to electrolytic action in a moist and warm environment, necessitating a repair that costs almost as much as a new machine. The part only has a one-year warranty. LG knows about this design flaw, but still persists fabricating machines with it. They would do well to have a recall on all the machines with this design flaw. Check out the image of my defective LG spider below. I ended up spending around 8 hours dismantling the whole machine and installing a new [doomed to fail] spider. I am lucky to have these skills, but most people dont. Other than the spider connector, the machine has been fine.

Barbara of Mountain View, NY, I couldnt agree with you more. I also had to deal with Willie at LG! The stove was part of my kitchen remodel. Within its first year, the entire motherboard had to be replaced only after they tried to replace a segment of the board only. While the repairman is installing the new board, he notices the oven door has unnoticeably come out of its frame at the bottom and decides to tighten it and alert us to that fact. In its 3rd year, while baking, all we heard from the next room was glass exploding then glass raining onto my new hardwood floor. After picking up our jaws in disbelief, we quickly snapped several pics of the damage and sent it to LG along with the original sales receipt. At first they wouldnt pay for an investigator to come out but then did so. The investigator turned out to be some subcontractor Joe Schmo who took 2 pics and then left only for Willie to tell me that the board had decided that this was not the fault of the stove but mine! We were left just completely disgusted by their demeanor and their so-called internal investigation with their engineers, not to mention their lack of concern that anyone could have been hurt. So LG products of any sort are now on our boycott list.

Save your money. Do not buy LG appliances. We spent almost $1000 on a dishwasher in May 2019. By November 2019 the motor was going, as explained to us by an LG service/ repairman. Called the Corp office in AL they told us to buy a new DW and they would send a third party vendor out to pick up the damaged DW and reimburse use the purchase price, NOT the delivery and installation fees. We purchased another more expensive dishwasher, not LG, and put the old one in our garage. After a zillion phone calls the DW was picked up in January! We were told the check was in the mail. Since no check has arrived, a call was made AGAIN to LG Corp. Advised they still don’t have the DW!! Obviously the check in the mail was a lie!! Called the fulfillment center who advised DW has not been picked up yet by FedEx, even though it was picked up at our house on 1/22!! It is now 2/10, about 3 months since this nightmare started and we are out $2000 for purchasing 2 dishwashers????

$3,000 5-yr.-old top of the line LG refrigerator still not fixed after 5 weeks! Horrible customer service! LG has not been able to repair it in 5 weeks with 6 visits from repairman. BTW: ONLY PARTS are covered by LG warranty, not labor. If your LG fridge breaks the day after you buy it, YOU pay for labor, and each call involves a minimum of two visits by repairman - one to look at it so he can order parts (they keep nothing in stock) and at least one return to try to fix it.The repairman suggested on his FIRST visit that we BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR, before he even ordered the new compressor. They do not want to honor warranty. They want you to give up and buy a new appliance! He actually said refrigerators do not last more than 5 years! My son in law has spent hours on the phone (mostly on hold) trying to arrange repairs, been transferred to departments that are closed, been told to call back tomorrow (when departments are closed), and been told that the earliest available repair appointment was 4 weeks away! He has been hung up on. He has been told that they cannot access his records and that the only department that can access his records is not open today (Friday). The repairman suggested more than once that we buy a new refrigerator instead of requiring LG to honor their warranty. Who spends $3,000 on a fridge they expect to last only 5 years?

We bought a brand new LG electric range from Future Shop in Duncan 2 years ago when we moved into a new house. A few months ago the push panel on top started to give problems. Could not use the timer anymore. Had a mechanic look at it and he thought we might need a new panel which might cost $800 which we were not willing to pay as we think it might be loose connections. I called LG twice, they were supposed to call me back but I never got a reply. Today the start button on the oven is not working. What will happen next? We have had ovens for 15-20 years without problems. Does this mean we have to replace a panel for $1000 with taxes and labor or buy a new oven? After 2 years??? We are at the end of our ropes. Who can help?

Bought a LG French door refrigerator April 2012. Within 8 months if you use the ice dispenser, it would not stop dispensing ice without jiggling the dispenser. Call LG, they sent someone who brought the wrong part because the person did not understand the problem that I told them about. The repair person said he had to order a new part and it would take a couple of weeks. About three weeks later, I receive a phone call from LG stating that instead of fixing the ice maker they were going to replace the whole refrigerator. That should have been the first sign of trouble. I said ok. They said I need to send them the serial name plate on the inside. I said ok but why. “Well we dont want the refrigerator back, but we dont want any serial numbers on this to void all warranty.” I guess this is because if I sell it I cant claim to have a warranty for it. That’s fine, Im getting a new refrigerator. Mistake number 1. They are going to call me with a date and time. Finally someone else calls to set up delivery and tells me the date and that this refrigerator is only going to have a warranty of 90 days and they are not going to set up the new refrigerator. Mistake number 2. I thought only a couple of months left on this refrigerator, get a new with a couple of extra months. I agreed with this and the people brought in anyways. Now with the new, 8 month later, I now have the error message 1f. I you are thinking about this refrigerator or LG products, stay away. Customer service is rude and thoughtless when it comes to your problem. They have a serious problem with this product and are not willing to fix it.

I purchased an LG Model# LFX33975st Refridgerator from Lowes September 2004. I paid 2748.60 for it and also purchased the Lowes extended warranty. That is a whole different issue. This fridge never cooled like it should from the day I bought it. I would hear weird noises from time to time, several times the freezer would start to thaw out. At first, I thought my wife had too much stuff in it but that wasnt the problem. Then it would start working again. A lot of food would spoil in this fridge. Well, it finally quit cooling altogether and we lost all of the food both in the fridge and freezer. I called Lowes as I had an extended warranty and I also contacted LG. LG sent a new compressor and the wrong filter drier and scheduled the service facility to come out and make the repair. The repairman came out and found a leak in the fridge evaporator. He ordered the new part, he came out to make the repair. Now, this is going on for 3 weeks. 48 Hrs later the freezer is working but the fridge is not. So after doing a little research online, it is clear that LG has major issues with their compressors and other components that they are aware of and there are several class action lawsuits against them. I have all LG appliances in my house as the salesman at the store told me how good the LG products are. I am very sorry I purchased these products and will never buy another appliance from LG or Lowes.

I purchased an LG refrigerator on 5/19/13, model # LFX3194ST, and purchased the 4-year warranty. On 8/14/15 the freezer and then the fridge began to thaw and re-freeze. I called the warranty service and had an appointment scheduled for 8/18/15 between 8-12. The repair technician showed up at 1:30, and after doing diagnostics, said I needed a new compressor (on a refrigerator 2 years old). He ordered the compressor and said it would be delivered on 8/19/15 (and I am sure it is likely a refurbished compressor), and it did arrive, and is still sitting on a bench where I left it in boxes. The technician, Hugo **, then scheduled a 12-4 appointment to replace the compressor on 8/20/15. On 8/20/15, Hugo called at 3:30, and said he had an emergency and needed to reschedule. He rescheduled with me to arrive between 11-12 on 8/21/15. At 2:00 pm on 8/21/15, I called him, and he said he would be over in about one hour. I called him again at 3:15 pm, and he again said it would be about an hour. I had an emergency of my own arise, and called to see where he was at around 4:15 pm, and he said he could be by in 15-20 minutes. I asked if he could wait and come at 5:00. He agreed, but said the visit would take 2-3 hours, which I find to be a long estimate of time when the part is already available. He was angling to reschedule, so I asked when he could. He said he could be over the next morning at 9:00 am, so I decided to allow the reschedule. He never showed or called.I called the warranty department through Lowes to complain. I was told I needed to deal with this technician and take a slot on Monday from 8-12, or I could start over with a new company. They also said the company that was supposed to come has one technician, Hugo, and that he does not work on the weekend, so the warranty rep said, he lied. The next appointment for another company (only other company offered) was 8/28/15. If I started with a new company, the compressor at my home could not be used. So my choice is to take the appointment (like I really believe he will show) or start over. I did work out that I could call another company, but I would also need to start over and bill Lowes. I was also told I could get a rental refrigerator and bill Lowes. Highly doubt I would ever see the $, and the hassle factor would be very high. They have you coming and going.I will NEVER buy anything LG again, and will likely never shop at Lowes again. This warranty is sold by Lowes and they should be bending over backwards at this point due to their poor choice of vendors. No bending noted, so no future business from me. Steer clear of LG and Lowes as far as I am concerned. I included the warranty program # below.

Our $3,500+ super capacity LG refrigerator stopped cooling at the 6 year mark. Several repair attempts have been made in the past month under warranty and at least $2100 in food has spoiled. Weve also spent $370 on floor repairs from water damage leaking from the fridge after the second repair attempt. My fiance and I have been tirelessly working the frontlines 6-7 days a week taking direct care of critically ill COVID patients at hospitals with little time to grocery shop (or sleep) since this pandemic started. For a month now, my family has been eating from our hospitals vending machines or relying on fast food delivery service which has drained our accounts. LGs policy states a maximum of $300 food reimbursement and if our unit is deemed unrepairable even under warranty, we have no option but to pay for junk hauling. After purchasing several high end appliances from LG, this is a huge slap in our faces.

I am dealing with the exact same issue that some other customers have reported, and terribly disappointed with LG’s customer support setup. I have a 2-year-old LG refrigerator with manufacturer warranty, and we had paid extra to buy the extended warranty also. The fridge is broken for 8 days now. I agree with other reviewer, how can one do without a fridge for so many days. We also have medical issues in the family, and it’s critical for us to have the fridge to store important health related things. We considered buying a new fridge, but a $1500 fridge is not something we should have to replace in just 2 years! When you call LG’s customer service, they connect you with a company called Puls. Then Puls has local techs to perform the service, which I was eventually informed they have only 2 techs to repair refrigerators in the Dallas area. Additionally, these techs are not able to produce liability insurance that my building requires. It’s hard to comprehend that LG hires tech who do not carry liability insurance! So, I am waiting. No one ever calls me back, after promising they will call with 24 hours with an update. And when I call back, they repeat the same statement… “mam, please understand, we are trying, we will provide an update soon.” It’s 8 days now without any update and timeline for repair! At one time 2-3 days ago, I was also transferred to LG’s customer service escalation supervisors, and honestly, they have been useless! The supervisors also repeated the same thing that “we will escalate, please give us some time and we will get back within 24 hours.” First, I don’t understand that the escalation supervisors need 24 hours to get an update for me and secondly, they never called back. They didn’t do anything, as I am still waiting without any update! This is such a nightmare! Staying away from LG!!

LG cleans fairly well, but if dishes sit they get moldy. Its quiet when running. Quiet. Would like to have had the racks designed differently to accommodate more sizes of dishes and glassware. White, plain. The brackets supporting the dishwasher broke within a year so my dishwasher is without the side supports that hold it in place. When the dishwasher door is opened, the racks all slide forward and the lower rack goes off the tracks quite quickly.

Bought this top of line refrigerator about 5 yrs ago. Had no problems until May 1, 2017. The compressor went out. It is now June 30 and I still am without a working refrigerator. When I called for repair LG recommended the Premium Repair Service Plan saying for $338 it would cover the cost of repair no matter what the issue. They then set up an appointment for repair. The repairman said he needed to order the compressor. Thats when the run around began. First the repairman had to get authorization just to order the part. Excuse me!! This was the authorized repairman that they sent out. Whats with them needing to authorize this? It took a week to get authorization. Then it was ordered. It is now going on 2 months and there is not even an estimated time of arrival for this part. I have called LG who then tells me So sorry for the inconvenience but the part is ordered. It will be 3-5 days. I call them after 7 days only to be given the same spiel. I call the repairman who says same thing. I am getting nowhere with either of them. I wrote to LG explaining the problem as I dont get anywhere with them on the phone, only to have them say they are sorry for the inconvenience but it is Assurance, the company that they contracted with for better service options, that I need to be in touch with. However Assurance tells me that it is LG that is the problem because they have to use LG parts in keeping with the warranty. So I am stuck with no refrigerator while LG took my money for nothing so far. As we all can see this company doesnt seem to be concerned with keeping customers as its customer service sucks and they dont care. I dont know what its going to take to get them to help us. Maybe a huge class action will get their attention.

Ill just make it simple. I bought a $3000 LG LMX3195ST refrigerator on 07/30/2011. It has been broken from day 1. I have fifteen complaints filed and documented with LG. They have replaced warped door seals. They have unthawed it twice. They have been out to disassemble/reassemble it from where MEI repaired it incorrectly and they replaced the motherboard. The unit still has error codes and the ice maker gets stuck in the on position. The first repair company, MEI, was horrible. The company had no diagnostic tools and where a no show, no call. The second company, A&E, I thought was pretty good and well equipped, but now stated by LG will not return their calls. After listening to the guy from MEI complain the whole time he was here about how LG was underpaying him, I would be willing to bet that there might be some kind of issues in this area. LG has not been able to call me and notify me of the trouble finding a repair center; instead I have waited as long as 13 days before I finally call them and just repeat the cycle. I refuse to give up and I will fight LG to the end!

I have been without a refrigerator for 2 months. We live in the KC metro area and there are only 3 repair companies certified by LG. It took them weeks to come out as they were booked and then we had to order 2 parts of which both have been back ordered. Maybe I am spoiled but 2 months without a refrigerator is a long time. I called customer care and indicated I think they have a supply vs demand issue. Obviously they have a bad product if you cannot keep the parts in stock to repair. I also have a dishwasher, washer and dryer by LG. The dishwasher is awful and so far the washer/dryer have been fine. I need to find a new brand before we update our kitchen! Based upon repair time alone they are not worth it!

LG WASHER WT5001CW SERIAL 006KWWZ00297 - We purchased this EXPENSIVE washer in December 2010 before my auto accident and I had a great job. We loved it while it was working properly!!!! Now 4 1/2 years later, I am disabled and my wife of 32 years left. I live on very little thru no fault of my own and now this washer has been down for 5 weeks. Approx a year ago, we started having trouble with excessive vibration thru all cycles. This machine does not have an agitator and is a top load wave force washer. We called LG and found out it was under recall. LG sent techs out and changed out the main computer board free of charge. We noticed that the cycles got longer and we still had a vibration although it was better. We were told that it would get better over time. It did not so we just lived with it. Then 5 weeks ago my daughter came to wash clothes for me. During a rinse cycle, it sounded like the world came to an end. Upon inspection, the entire pulsator assy. came apart (bottom plate, center cap and center bolt) and hit the glass top. After dealing with LG multiple times, finally, a tech was sent out. It was the same guy who had previously change out the computer board. He got on the phone with his company and scheduled a repair tech. A week later, he shows up wanting an upfront payment (NOT!!!!!) so he left. I called LG. Now they say there is no record of our contacting them. I have begged these folks for help. Finally I got a number of an authorized LG repair person locally. Now it seems that the main bearing has gone out and most likely for what its gonna cost to fix this washer is over half what I paid for it - SERIOUSLY????????? The machine is 4 1/2 years old and if this is what service and longevity LG products now have, then I have bought my last one - I can go back to a brand new standard washer for what it will cost to fix this thing. SHAME ON YOU LG!!!!! I understand all things can break down, but your customer service is now CRAP.

We purchased a Kenmore Model 79551833412 side by side refrigerator that was manufactured for Sears by LG. This units compressor failed after 17 months. I came to learn there was a class action lawsuit filed against LG for this same issue which unfortunately was dismissed. Because my mother in law is 88 years old and the estimated cost of repair was nearly the cost of a new refrigerator we chose to purchase her a new refrigerator rather than wait for it to be repaired. Sears says their warranty is only one year but the Sears rep said that the manufacturer provides a longer warranty on the compressor but labor would not be included. I contacted LG to see if they would do anything for us. They said that our recourse was with Sears so they wont stand behind their product. Stay away from LG refrigerators.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey and had many email conversations with them and LG headquarters and the final decision was I’m supposed to use three or four different types of chemicals to clean the oven because their feature does not work. I researched the problem and several sites suggested the smell was because it was new and would go away in time. Ten months later, its as bad as ever! My daughter has Down syndrome and doesnt concern herself with the oven. No matter where she is in the house, within minutes of me turning on the oven, she literally goes into a gag mode. I have to open the windows and doors. Its so bad. Also, have had more than several dozens of times that a sleeve or bump turns on the burners. They are that sensitive! I bought an LG door in a door refrigerator February 2015. Within a few months the compressor broke. I called LG and they refused to fix it. After numerous calls and getting the credit card company involved, who rescinded my payment, they replaced the compressor. One month later, the compressor broke again. Mind you this is happening in the middle of summer. First they couldnt get the part then they couldnt get a technician. After a couple of months and $500.00 worth of lost food (which was never paid for), they replaced the compressor. Now, suddenly, the ice maker is not working. They are refusing to pay for it and it will cost me $371.00 to replace. I called LG Customer Service and there were lies galore... Like, We will check on this and call you in an hour, we will call you at the end of business, we will call you in 48 hours... All not true. This refrigerator is poor quality at a high price. It should have been removed and replaced with the first compressor breakdown. Additionally, I also bought an LG Washing Machine. All worked well until the washboard bolts that hold this piece at the bottom of the machine gave way and during a very fast spin, spun out of control, hit the washer cover, which opened and out flew the piece. They did fix this after a lot of screaming and yelling. I would not trust their products. There are many others on the market that are manufactured with quality in mind.

Stupidly, I purchased LG front load washer/dryer from Best Buy in Ocala, FL
Stupidly, I purchased LG front load washer/dryer from Best Buy in Ocala, FL May 2014. February 2015 it started leaking on the final spin cycle. I phoned LG and they referred me to a local company for service. They came to my residence, of course, couldnt find the leak. He left and stated if the problems persists to phone LG. Well, sure enough, that Saturday I used the washer and it leaked. I phoned LG and found them to be extremely rude and uncooperative. He told me it was my detergent. I explained that I have used Gain packets ever since I had the washer and if this was the problem why didnt this occur last year? Well, he obviously didnt get it. He just kept saying it was my laundry detergent. I finally, in total exasperation, told him that I was very angry and was hanging up. That week, I played his game. I bought Wisk, in a bottle. Well I had 3/4 of a load and I put the detergent in the cup well below the normal line! Well, you guessed it, IT LEAKED. I phoned Best Buy in Ocala, FL and spoke to **. He was very nice and stated, LG needs to replace the washer. ** called LG. HOWEVER, they wanted the service man to come out again. Well, he did, and no, he couldnt find the leak. Just used this worthless washer and it leaked again. I phoned Best Buy in Ocala, FL and spoke to **. Couldnt reach **, they supposedly have two **s. Well ** was of no help. When I told him ** said the washer should be replaced, he stated he couldnt help me as I didnt BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY! Youve got to be kidding me. Its still under the original warranty. Best Buy sold it...Best Buy should help customers. But thats not the case. Ive cancelled my Best Buy credit card, I will never go there again. This is outrageous. To spend this kind of money and have these problems. My other washers lasted 15-20 years and I never had any problems. This is the first and last front loader that I will buy and also my first and last LG appliance. They are junk. Everyone needs to be aware. Go back to top load washers -- They are cheaper and stand the test of time!

I bought this dishwasher in January 2015 and it has been a nightmare since I have had it. While under warranty LG had 5 different people out to fix it. I have not been able to use this dishwasher more than able to use it. I paid approximately $800.00 for this dishwasher and the one I had when I lived at an apartment was 100x better than this. Didnt clean well... ALWAYS problems with it. LG would not replace, kept fixing issues with it. I had to have the motor replaced, door replaced, dish soap dispenser replaced 2x, steam vent replaced, hoses replaced, seals replaced and it has been a lemon since day one. Again, last night after having yet another repairman out and only repaired about a couple of weeks ago, it breaks again and wont even come on. Seriously, what a piece of junk. Will never purchase another LG product again. Went out this morning and purchased another dishwasher. The LG is now out of warranty. Oh, and also one of the repairman told me that LG should just replace it and guess what, never heard from that repairman again. They said his work was not up to par... Really LG, I think youre not up to par!!!

I chose this fridge because it got good ratings with Consumer Reports. They must not read these reviews! Our experience was similar to others here. The fridge worked great for 18 months and then the freezer quit. First local authorized agent was not up to the task and walked away after wasting three weeks of our time. Second agent, an hour distant, did get the compressor replaced (bravo!), but by then we had been down for 38 days. It took many phone calls. Although the young people who answer at LG were friendly and tried to help, it was frustrating to hear the life is good recording with each call as the days kept passing. LG did cover the repair cost.It has now been five months and so far everything is fine. But I wonder if this compressor, which Im told is the same model as the defective one, is likely to fail in another year or so. And will they cover the cost again? And will it take a month again? Another concern is the cost to the environment of these new high efficiency appliances which apparently have a much shorter service life than the old models.

Updated on 08/12/2019: I reported this product problem previously and a week later, received a response from LG saying they would do something about it. I sent the info next day and 4 days later they responded that they cant find the number. I respond again same day, now three more days go by. They still cant find the number so I send model and serial number again (from the sticker inside refrig). And I added that this is a refrigerator, our food is spoiling, please call me (and gave my number) as if it was your familys food. FIVE days more, another message, We still cant find the number. It took me 6 minutes to find out the first three digits of my model number meant LG Electronics. Youd think two weeks would be enough to find the rest of the number. I would send a picture of the product label if there was a way to do that. If they really wanted to fix this problem, they could have called me and we would be this far in 10 minutes, not two weeks. I got sick last night, and it was probably spoiled food. Im 76 with a heart condition. There are so many facts to give here that it sounds like Im ranting instead of just giving the details. Maybe thats their strategy. Take the money, stall and make excuses until they stop. But I wont. I was using private mail so they could work fast and do their job. For some reason, some department at LG is just as bad as Sears. I know how to broadcast that.Original Review: $2200 LG made refrigerator completely fails after 18 months. Stops cooling/spoils food and almost new. While there are more features than you can shake a stick at, there is a nice electronic tune that plays at the end of a wash and the wash seems very efficient, the dryer is less performant. Worst refrigerator I have ever owned and worst company customer service I h
Worst refrigerator I have ever owned and worst company customer service I have ever experienced. Refrigerator and freezer ($2600, 2 years old, and $500 food loss) failed to cool in October 2013. Had a third party warranty so called them. They sent a tech who said it was the compressor and could not fix it due to the fact that it was covered under LG warranty. Finally got an LG tech to come out only to tell me the same thing and said they needed to order a new compressor that would not arrive for 6 to 8 weeks because it had to come from Korea! Got help to convince LG that they were obligated to have parts available within a reasonable time per trade agreements. Miraculously, they found the part within 2 weeks. Tech came out and installed the new compressor, got the refrigerator running and left. Later, the compressor started getting very loud. I called and complained and was told it was normal. Im here to tell you that it was NOT normal and sounded like a diesel truck idling in my kitchen! After several more phone calls to LG, and speaking with several agents and supervisor with varying degrees of rudeness, I decided to investigate and found that LG had installed the wrong compressor. It took me 2 months to resolve this with LG fighting me and telling me that I was most certainly wrong with my facts. At the vice president level, LG finally acknowledged that they had in fact supplied and installed the wrong compressor. Another compressor was ordered and a tech finally came out and installed it. A couple months later the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I spoke with several LG personnel again to convince them that a tech needed to come out again. Finally about 2 weeks later a tech did come and verify once again that the compressor was bad. Long story short, another compressor was installed and failed again within a couple months. I then began requesting a replacement or refund. This process was a nightmare filled with rude and uncooperative LG personnel, along with 2 more tech visits that were apparently aimed at disproving my claims. In the end, LG refunded my money, but did not reimburse any food loss. The entire process started October 2013, and ended in April 2014. I have never before experienced such pushy and rude customer service as I did with LG. I know that if I had not been as proactive and persistent as I was in seeking a resolve to this matter, I would have received nothing from LG! They are the worst company! I unfortunately own a couple more newer LG appliances, and hope every day that they continue to run. I will probably just throw them out if I have issues with them rather than deal with LG. I will never again buy another LG product.

Thank goodness, I had the forethought of purchasing an extended warranty on this new brand. This past Friday, we received some type of authorization (number) to purchase a replacement stove. I have been reading reviews and will not pick LG, and Kenmores will be carefully scrutinized for quality. Still have an LG refrigerator bought the same time, so waiting to see what happens with it in the coming months. Already having door closure issues. Will not buy anything made in Mexico.

The area around and under the bleach dispenser has rusted causing rust to fall into our clothing. We purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot and they and LG both indicated that this would not be covered and said that it is a cosmetic issue. We dont like our clothing getting rusty! DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER OR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HOME DEPOT! This warranty (5 yrs.) is deceptive and Home Depot lied to us.

I have an LG French Door Refrigerator LFC25760SB with bottom drawer freezer. Today we discovered that the 2 light bulbs have been staying on even though the doors are closed and the plastic enclosure was extremely hot - both light bulbs blew out at the same time. Now I have read all about this and find out this has been going on in these refrigerators for years and a class action suit was filed and has been settled and closed. Yet we have never had a recall notice or a notice of the lawsuit even though I registered our purchase with LG - so we have no recourse and are stuck with a $1,700 refrigerator with no light inside - not to mention we had to have new tracks put in the freezer door in the first month we owned it and the door still doesnt go in and out smoothly. I would never buy an LG product again - they are complete junk!! And companies will do nothing for you!!

If you look at my original review of 10/3/19 and the companys final reply of 10/8/19 it appeared that LG intended to do nothing more than leave us holding the bag as it were. However, without further contacting us at all, LG contacted a nearby service center and sent a new door to them and arranged for our door to be replaced AT LGS EXPENSE. The service man said the old door was going to the dump, so I guess LG didnt need to trust but verify that it was a warranty issue after all. They finally decided to do the right thing. Our refrigerator again looks the way it should, but we should not have had to jump through so many hoops to get this corrected. I stand by my original review. I will not purchase LG in the future.

We purchased an lxsc22396s refrigerator and it stopped working within 90 days. We purchased this refrigerator on 05/24/18 (paid over $2000 for it) and on 07/23/18, it stopped dispensing water, the ice melted, it stopped cooling, and cost us over $250 of spoiled groceries. We contacted LG and they sent out a technician who perform a reset and stated that it will start working in about a week. We contacted LG again to request a loner fridge until ours starts working again. Jovy from LG told us that they cant do anything about it and we just have to wait until they fix it. Very poor customer service from LG. We also submitted a request for a refund for $250 of spoiled food. They told us that all managers were busy and would call us back later in the day. They never called us back. We havent had this refrigerator 90 days and its already giving us problems and costing us money.

This washing machine is awful. The clothes do not get clean and they smell even after cleaning the machine. A rep came out and told me that the He tide detergent has been awful to switch to gain or another brand. So, we switched to gain, cleaned the tube 3 consecutive weeks with vinegar and baking soda as suggested and still my clothes are not getting clean. I have been battling this since I bought it.

This dryer is the biggest piece of crap. Anytime you put clothes in there it balls them up into a tight knot and continues to bounce them around without drawing them. The water collection happens all the time. Nothing ever dries. You have to pull things out and shake it in order for anything to ever finish.

I liked the pricing as well as the features that this refrigerator had to offer. And it fit conveniently in the space provided. I liked the fact that it had an automatice ice maker along with purified water. I liked the freezer space and also space for the vegetables and fruits as well as the meats. There were no features that I disliked about this refrigerator other than it didnt process ice quick enough for me and especially when I had company over for outings.

I purchased an LG washer and matching dryer in April of 2014 from Best Buy. I was drawn to it because of the see through glass design. I thought they were cool looking. The salesman pitched it as a top of the line product, I fell for it :-( I cry every time I start to do laundry. My clothes NEVER come out clean. Some of it comes out of the washer dry! This is the worst purchase I have ever made. My old washer did a perfect job and I wish I hadnt purchased this crap. Im out $1600.00 for something I thought would be amazing. I spent a ton of money for dirty clothes. Best Buy came out to repair it, they said the motherboard needs to be replaced. After reading these reviews Im not hopeful at all. Dont fall for LG smart technology. This washer is crap!

Our LG dishwasher has never (since the day we had it installed) cleaned our dishes or dried them. I first noticed that after carefully rinsing all residue off my dishes, they still were dirty after running them through the normal cleaning cycle. I then washed my dishes and started using the power scrub feature every time and noticed the dishes had either food or soap reside on them and were never hot or dry after the washer stopped. I have to pre-wash everything I put into it and wipe off the soap afterward even though I use Jet-Dry. My dishes are barely warm when the 2-hour power scrub cycle is finished. I called LG support and after several questions, I realized that the customer service rep was going through a checklist in order to troubleshoot the root cause of the problem. She asked if I had cleaned the unit by the manual instructions to make sure there was no food debris clogging (YES). She asked if I used the proper detergent and if my washer actually had power to it (Yes and yes). She asked if I used the power scrub feature. She wanted to know if my dishwasher was connected to my garbage disposal? She said I had to check the line to make sure it was clear, but she told me that there was no way for me to do that other than looking at the line - REALLY? She told me that I obviously needed a technician to come out for the price of $85.00 to diagnose and probably more than $250.00 for parts and labor. She also told me that I could not talk to a technician or anyone else other than her over the phone.Weve had nothing but trouble from our LG refrigerator as well - having had to replace the water line 4 TIMES before the fridge actually stopped working and then had to pay LG for a new motherboard. I will NEVER again buy another LG appliance. Customer service is POOR at best and appliance functionality is a joke.
