LG 7600 top loader does not have the capacity to really get clothes clean.
LG 7600 top loader does not have the capacity to really get clothes clean. As it drains it leaves a scum which gets left on clothes. In my 45 years I have never had such a poor performing machine. My husbands jeans were dirty and mucky from working out doors. I ran it on the best setting I could find. I took them out and put them in the dryer. There was so much sand and dirt in the filter and the bottom of the dryer. I knew the washer had not even came close to getting them clean. Because it has no agitator, the clothes are only bathed in water so really dirty ones dont come clean. Oh how I wish I had my money back on this machine.

They sold me an LG Washing Machine and a dryer. But the washing machine has been nothing but trouble--it broke three times in five years. This time, it spun completely off the rim from the inside! It completely destroyed the inside of the machine and Home Depot says that they sell them, not fix them. LG wont even return our calls! The repairman says that it will be about $1,000 to fix it. Are you all crazy?

I purchased 4 brand new LG appliances for our daughter when they moved into their new home. She immediately noticed a problem with the range. The knobs on this model are along the front of the stove and they can be turned on very easily. I was there one day and walked past and barely brushed against a knob and turned the element on.This has happened several times. Even the family dog has turned it on. So far there have been two fires as a result of this issue. One caused damage to their LG range hood/microwave and upper cabinets. This stove is dangerous and they should not be allowed to sell it. We have contacted LG several times. They had scheduled an in-home visit to see the issue but never showed up. We have still not received a satisfactory response. The latest response was to keep the children out of the kitchen. The children are the only ones that havent accidentally turned it on.

We purchased the washer and dryer set. Thought it was going to be great but has turned out to be the worst deal ever. We have had nothing but problems. We have same issues everyone else is having, uneven load, uneven balance. Takes forever to do one load of laundry. We paid a lot of money for the set. Now looks like we are going to have to buy another set but different brand. Anyone thinking of buying these please dont waste your money. LG needs to make this right for their customers. I will not purchase LG anything now.

I love my new refrigerator. I love how it has two doors for the refrigerator and it has a bottom drawer for the freezer with an extra drawer in the freezer. Plus I love the fact that it is stainless steel. The only thing I can think of changing would be for it to be a little taller but besides that its great. Plus it has an ice maker which I really love because I can do all kinds of stuff. We almost bought a Samsung but heard that there were problems and it was hard to get serviced so we decided on the LG because we have not had any problems with it.

The purchase of the LG Washer is by far the worst I have ever made. Despite complaints to LG nothing has been done. The finish on it has faded, during the spin cycle the vibration is horrible, knocking things off the shelf, the smell cannot be controlled along with the mold on the rubber seal. Now I notice chipping on the glass on my front loader that has now produced a crack along one side and is making its way toward the center. Never will I purchase the LG brand again!

LG Black Stainless Model #LFXC24726D - I have had my doors replaced twice.
LG Black Stainless Model #LFXC24726D - I have had my doors replaced twice. Last week the tech David ** here in Northern California came out to replace the freezer and one refrigerator door. When he replaced the freezer door he chipped the plastic on the freezer prying the old paint skin off. Then he scratched the new skin by the handle in the corner. It looks like the new skin that was replaced on the freezer doesnt fit this model because now all that you can see where the handles are is the white plastic. I called within 15 minutes of David leaving to complain about the chipped plastic. He came back to the house, took pictures and sent it on to customer service in Alabama to Jessica the Executive Supervisor. The following day I got an email saying they would be out on 10/18/18 between 8-12. Of course on 10/18/18 around 10:45 I get a call from Jessica the Executive Supervisor saying that they would not be fixing the chip that the tech made and that the case was closed and they would not be coming out anymore. I asked if they had reviewed my two email dated 10/21/18 on the other two issues. She said no and that I would get a call from her within 24-48 hours. Of course no call so I called on 10/22/18 and Jessica was not available so I spoke to Bill Executive Service Supervisor and told that I would have to pay for the new freezer door and service call on something that the tech David ** messed up. My only recourse is to appeal to the Office of the President (no phone number to speak to anyone in that office). At this point I will be complaining to the Bureau of Consumer Protection, Better Business Bureau and looking to see if there is a Class Action Lawsuit going on.

I purchased this door-in-door refrigerator October 2017, for my new home, at Home Depot. The store was my salvation in trying to get service for this unit as the right french door was 1 higher than the left, and the cooling fan made a high pitch whining noise whenever it kicked on. Sounds easy right? NOT! LG Service Center is a call center of sorts with questionnaires they read from, despite being told of the exact issue. 15 min later still nowhere. Called HD and they got the same result. After several different LG phone #s, Sue in Appliances at Cicero HD, succeeded in reaching the LG local service center and entered a claim for me. They were to call back with appt. I ended up calling them the next day, found out they are a computer repair center, and contacted HD to return this very expensive refrigerator. Thank you HD for all that you do and I will purchase anything but LG for the replacement.

This refrigerator is Spacious, good brand, trusted, durable, sturdy, convenient, reliable, trendy, long lasting, good looking, easy to clean, minimal repairs needed, affordable. Bought used, it had met my expectations when I first purchased but now I am needing to expand and have a bigger fridge. I would like to get one that has an ice maker and water purifier, I would buy a more updated model.

Have been very satisfied with my LG Side by Side. Have had it now for 6 years and has worked flawlessly. Recommend this product to anyone looking for a reasonably priced fridge freezer. Current elapsed time of this issue is now 1 and 1/2 months. The LG refrigerator (LFXC24726S/02) stopped working on April 27, 2018. The refrigerator is still under warranty. I bought a kitchen suite of 4 appliances through Costco which included the refrigerator. LG did not want to honor the warranty at first. After several calls they sent a technician who determined it was a defective compressor. 2 weeks elapsed and neither LG nor I heard from him again. After several calls to LG a second technician came and also determined it was a defective compressor. He ordered the compressor. He finally came to our house but refused to install the compressor because LG had not paid him for previous service calls and demanded payment for his services upfront. He was rude and discourteous. He said LG failed to provide him with the info to process the repair. He did not want to talk to the LG customer service either. I was able to get him the info so he could proceed. He installed the compressor under duress. He left right away. The repair to the refrigerator failed.I had contacted Costco and Costco and LG have been going back and forth to make a final determination to provide a refund. There is still no determination. I have kept notes of the ineptitude of LG, its customer service, its repair services and its unwilling to fulfill the obligations of the warranty. I have spent countless hours trying to find a resolution. I have been without a refrigerator and have lost food to spoilage. I am not happy that Costco is also unable to leverage LG to address the issue. I am being neglected and not responded to because of LGs lack of care toward its customers. It is further distressing that a company can flat out not fulfill the warranty obligations of its products.

The refrigerator is a nice design, works well, and is a known brand. The fridge is basic but it works like it is a higher end model. I have had it for several years and have had no problems so far. I have a standard refrigerator. I would like it to be higher-end with an ice maker, more storage options, more freezer space etc. If it were a smart fridge that would be an improvement too. I purchase an LG french door refrigerator at Home Depot in June 2010. It has been one year and 7 months and now the refrigerator broke. It does not freeze nor cool off. I contacted LG customer care at 1800 243 000. I explained what happened. I asked to have it fixed or changed for a new one. To my surprise, they claimed they couldn’t do anything. I explained that I had purchased insurance and extended warranty. At the time of purchase, LG claimed it is not theirs and they couldn’t do anything to go back to Home Depot. I called Home Depot. They claimed they couldn’t service it yet. I have to wait almost a week before they send a technician, and they don’t replace any parts. With the game they have between Home Depot and LG, I am with no refrigerator and out of $2000.00 and $300.00 worth of market. My question as a consumer is: who is responsible for these damages? I paid almost $2000.00 for the ** refrigerator and it worked fine until their so called warranty expired. And now they don’t want to be responsible for their bad equipment. I am upset at the fact that the consumers affairs and the better business bureau would allow these companies to sell such expensive appliances which are good only until their warranty expires. I hate the way LG just bluntly told me it is not their problem and there is nothing they can do. How dare they rip off the public like that! A good refrigerator should last at least a good 10 years especially for the prices they are being sold to the public. I paid the price they ask for. How dare they rip off the consumer in such way! And there is the game they play. LG tells me to call Home Depot and Home Depot tells me to call LG. Neither one wants to be responsible for the defected refrigerator they sold me. What am I supposed to do? Get another refrigerator because these two irresponsible companies would not take responsibility and stand behind their damaged goods? I am waiting for your response. Thank you.

Have this machine x five years. Every year I have to do some type of repair. It has a 10 year warranty but nothing is ever covered by the warranty. This is the biggest fraud in the appliance business. I called LG to repair my machine that is neither washing nor drying, they sent a technician the cost was $300 down payment, never heard from them again. I called again the price was $411, which will cover one year repair minus $100 for coming out... This they insisted must be paid via credit card before they can come. They sent a tech out that was almost 4 weeks ago, no one has returned. I called only to get the runaround. No one will take responsibility. I cannot get any answer, cant get my money back and my machine is still not fixed. Company number (!) is High End Appliance $300. Company (2) General Appliance.LG is a rip-off company they do not stand by they appliance, they are dishonest, they do not honor their warranty, they do not satisfy their customers needs. Bought an LG washer from Home Depot in Alamogordo, NM about 4 yrs ago. From the very first few uses we would occasionally notice small holes appearing in clothes and towels etc. Followed manual carefully about what cycle to spin clothes on, also followed cleaning procedure rigorously as my daughters LG developed the dreaded mold. I was assured that would not happen if I left the door open and cleaned the seal and ran tub clean cycle frequently. I did all that and still developed the mildew/mold stench that permeates our towels mostly. The small holes I finally figured out was caused by the spin cycle (even on low) forcing the thinner weight fabric through the drain holes in tub and catching the fabric on the unpolished back side of rough punched drain holes. I actually physically pulled a t-shirt off the side of the tub slowly and saw with my own eyes the fabrics pulling out of the holes leaving small tears in the shape of the drain hole pattern. Many clothing items were ruined before I started washing everything, even towels in laundry bags. I use cotton pillow covers to dont stink and wash towels in. The main computer panel started to go out immediately after the one year warranty was up. The washer now sits, but at least my clothes dont stink and I have no holes in my new clothes. Laundromats are not that bad after all. The crap that is being pawned off on the consumers is deplorable.

Burners go to highest setting, even when set to low heat on control panel. Worse than that, you can not turn the burner off with the controls. The only way to turn the burner off is to unplug range or flip circuit breaker. When circuit breaker flipped on, burner turns itself on at the highest level and you still can not turn it off. Very, very dangerous. LG recalled one model for this reason but other models, that have not been recalled, have this problem as well.

In January of 2016 I took delivery of a set of LG Black Stainless Kitchen appliances from Lowes. I purchased stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. They were very expensive and what I consider to be high end in terms of models. Within a short time, I began to notice the refrigerator scratched at the drop of a hat. This was not my experience with prior stainless appliances. I learned the black stainless just has a black film on it and it is not the true color of the stainless.Just 2 years later, I am seeing the black coating or film peel away from the handles on my dishwasher. Just having a ring on and opening the door to the fridge is leaving scratches. Plus spots of where the film is wearing off are on the front of the fridge and at the edges of the door. The film near the handles on the dishwasher is peeling away. I called LG and they could care less. Since it is more than one year old, too bad for the consumer. There is no product on the market to try and at least cover the appearance of this faulty coating. So, just 2 years and over $7000 later I am stuck with products that are obviously defective in terms of the finish. I will NEVER do business with LG again since they gave me a defective product and will not stand behind what they sell the consumer. I have seen other negative reviews about this same issue. There should be a class action against this company for this product.

We bought a home with a new LG side-by-side refrigerator already installed. We have been in the house for 4 years and have had a service call on the refrigerator freezer at least 5 times. 1. The fan motor went bad, so the compressor shut down, causing food to defrost. 2. Water would not flow from the dispenser or to the ice maker. One of the solenoids was bad. 3. The ice cube tray that makes the ice was warped, so the water would overflow into the ice bin and freeze all the ice together. Apparently, the heater for the tray causes the tray to warp over time.4. The hose in the back that supplies water to the icemaker developed a leak and soaked our floors. This was repaired and it re-occurred multiple times. This issue is so common with LG that there is a procedure on YouTube on how to replace and repair the hose. I have owned refrigerators for 20 years with no problems. I believe LG definitely has a quality problem, so buy at your own risk.

I bought an LG refrigerator model no. GC-305PS on 16th August 2013 in Brisbane. In February 2014 I noticed the paint on the fridge handle peeling off (small spots). End of March 2014, the peeling is getting much worse & I contact LG by phone. I am requested to send photos of damage by EMAIL & did so. One week later I receive an email informing me the peeling is due to “ROUGH HANDLING” & the company is not responsible.I asked a friend of mine (a spray painter) to check it & he informs me the peeling is mainly on the edge & curved surface where the paint has been applied sparingly. Maybe LG should look at better paint application from the get go. Apart from this, SO FAR no other complaints. I have had other LG products (DVD & BLU RAY) & have received good results with repairs. So maybe this is just to do with the WHITE GOODS SECTION.

There are limited appliance repair companies in my area that will work on the dual cooling system. I live in a large city, so this is hard to believe. I would give LG service negative stars, if I can. I purchased a dishwasher in April (model number: LDS4821ST), and the unit has worked pretty well. Recently and suddenly, the paint on one of the control buttons started to come off. I called LG and sent them pictures. I was told that it was a cosmetic problem, and they would not repair. I understand if this was a year or two from now, but four months after purchase and the paint is coming off? It is an obvious quality problem.I purchased a washer and a drier from LG about five years ago, and feel they were of much better quality than their current products. I bought a fridge as well in April, and that has problems already, as well. LG was totally dismissive; what is worse is that they refused to send me their response in writing! Im still paying for the appliance that already looks crappy!

Purchased an LG fridge about 6 months ago. Over two weeks ago it began not cooling well and progressively got worse, soupy ice cream, rotting veggies etc... Called the place we bought it from Goedekers online. They forwarded us to LG since it was under a year old. Goedekers made some calls but even the President Steve Goedeker said he cant do much. Unbelievable, these companies are happy to take your money but have no problem leaving you and your family high and dry.LG has been a nightmare to deal with, the first week was wasted speaking to representatives that barely understood English. Finally request someone to come out on their website hoping that will get someone to come out and help us... After many phone calls, many lies, many conversations of no one caring (we are a family with a son under 2 years old etc... in a rural area) its over two weeks now and not even a phone call or servicer has been sent out to even diagnose our fridge. I even found a tech willing to come out and provided LG all the info - found out later through another source that spoke to their dealer department that they denied him because they didnt want to pay him standard rates. They spoke to another servicer in our area and they didnt approve his rates either and kept trying to talk him down as well. They have chosen to not help us and keep our family waiting to try to pay low rates to local service repair men. Youd think theyve spent at least that much paying their employees to make so many calls trying to negotiate ridiculously low rates. Why not just do the right thing and service the customer??? They have put us off, delayed and delayed any kind of progress just to pinch pennies and negotiate with service repairmen to see who will take their low negotiated rates. SO WRONG. My advice NEVER EVER EVER buy LG, our fridge was a $2700 fridge and it is not working in 6 months. They could not care less. Dont buy from online places, buy at your local appliance Ma and Pa place. Someone who will actually care, and hold true to some values.

My wife opened the d/w last evening to load dishes; a loud bang sounded, and she almost dropped the door. I pulled the d/w out today and found that the door assembly consists of a heavy-duty spring attached to a piece of Venetian blind cord which rides on a small plastic pulley. The cord had snapped (see photo). The next hour was spent arguing with a customer service representative and a supervisor because I refused to pay for a repairman to tell me what part I needed and charge me for the installation. I was finally given a phone number of a parts company from which I could order the cord portion of the assembly. Although the purpose of a washing machine is to clean clothes, my LG front-loading machine washing machine makes my clothes and bedding dirty, covering them with disgusting dark brown or blackish stains!!! This happens in spite of my doing everything I can to keep the tub and door clean: regularly washing the tub using the tub-clean cycle with appropriate cleaners, always leaving the door and dispenser drawer open, draining and cleaning the pump filter (although this always entails water all over my floor since the drain is much too low to put an adequate container underneath to catch all the water)... Its no use! I could even live with the machines constant struggles to be balanced enough to do a proper spin, but this dirtying of what Im expecting to get clean is just too much. Shame on you LG for selling a product that does the opposite of its expected function!

We keep getting told we will get a call in 3-5 business days each time we contact them. They never get back to us. We still dont have a refrigerator and this is still under a warranty. Its horrible living without a refrigerator for this long. We had so much food go bad when the thing stopped working. Its already been a huge expense. LG has made this so difficult for us and we still are not getting the customer service we deserve and still have a broken fridge all under WARRANTY that they do not stand by. I will never purchase an LG anything ever again in my life. Worst service ever.

I purchased the washer and dryer because I had had good experience with my LG television. To my total surprise, these two products are absolutely the worst pieces of junk I have ever experienced. What I would give to have my old washer and dryer back. The water level does not half cover the clothes and they come out almost as dirty as they go in. I turn the ** thing on and off until the water level at least cover the clothes. Im not sure what goes with the dryer but the clothes come out stinking and I keep turning the dryer back on thinking they are not getting dry enough and are mildewing. Ive tried everything I can think of and used so many different products to try to get a better result, but nothing works. I hate my LG products.

I caution all consumers about buying LG products. Life is NOT Good when you buy their products. I purchased an electric LG range, model #LDE3017SW February 2013 from Home Depot for $1,649.00. Little did I know at the time that this would be the worst purchase of my life. I say this without a smidgen of exaggeration.I do not bake a lot so my oven stayed fairly clean. With Thanksgiving approaching, I thought I would use the self-clean feature for the first time. About two hours into the cycle, the oven stopped working completely. The digital display was completely dark and the oven doors locked and would not open even though the oven is completely cool and inoperable.I called LG and their phone representative told me that I was not alone, that this has been a problem with this particular oven and that the thermostat needed replacement. First, my warranty had expired and needed to be extended. I was asked to scan my receipt with the serial and model numbers. I did this the next day.Hearing nothing back from LG regarding the status of the warranty extension, I called them back. Initially the LG phone representative told me that they had not received my scanned receipts but then, after putting me on hold, he found them. He said that his supervisor had not made a decision about whether or not my warranty would be extended. I ask him how I would be contacted when such a decision was made and he told me that I needed to keep calling LG back. After one week of calling LG back I was informed that my warranty would indeed be extended. I was told that I should call the repair company that LG contracts within my area, Heavenly Cool, to have the replacement part installed. I asked the LG phone representative if the repair person would have the correct part and be able to fix the oven when they came to my house. He assured me that they would, that this repair with this particular oven occurred frequently and that it was just a routine repair.I called Heavenly Cool the next day and spent about an hour on the phone trying to set up a repair appointment. I gave them my model and serial number and was told that the repair person would have the part in-hand and be able to fix my oven. I took time off work so I could be home for the repair. While waiting at home for the repair, the repair person called me and asked for my model and serial number. He said no one had given it to him ahead of time and he would have to check and see if he had the proper part with him and call me back. I was stunned. I waited for his call. He called back and said that he could NOT come to my house that day because he did not have the part to fix my oven.I went from patient to stunned to righteously angry. I called Heavenly Cool and they did not know what the glitch was with communication but they would be glad to reschedule when the part came in! How much time can I take off work???? I felt that I was lied to. I called LG and explained my situation and they said that they would have to call Heavenly Cool to verify. I was put on hold. The LG phone representative resumed the call with me and said that, indeed, I had communicated the current situation accurately and that I just had to wait until the part came in for the repair. I said that taking more time off work was not an option at this point and he said that if this repair person had 2 or 3 other repair jobs in my area that they would come at a time convenient to me. Wow! So if the sun, moon, and stars all aligned properly I could have the repair done sometime after work?I asked to speak with a LG supervisor and was given Eric. I re-explained the whole situation and he apologized for my inconvenience. I asked Eric how he could help me and he said that I would just have to wait for the part to come in and for the attempted repair to occur. If the part did not fix the oven, then I might have to wait even longer for repair. At this point, 12 days had gone by since my oven became inoperable. Taking off work and eating out is becoming very expensive! I will be having 30 people at my house for Thanksgiving! I had done nothing wrong but use the self-cleaning oven feature that LG uses as a selling point for this product and now I was without a working oven. I asked Eric if LG would replace my oven under these circumstances and he, of course, said no and there was nothing else he could do from his end. All Eric could do was apologize for my inconvenience. Since Eric did not have the power to make this right, I asked to speak to Erics supervisor. Eric told me that there was no one with higher authority at LG than him. Wow! Eric apologized again for my inconvenience.I found this website and I see that I am not alone in my frustration but I am very alarmed that LG ranges sometimes catch on fire! I did notice that the bottom of my double oven seemed to get too hot and did not evenly cook food. Because there is a safety issue with LG products, I do not even want to use their products. I will never purchase anything from LG again! I will tell everyone I know not to purchase their products. If LG wants to stay in business, they should make things right for their customers! It is now almost two weeks since my oven broke and LG has done nothing effectively to correct the problem. I have, unfortunately, learned a very expensive lesson. The only good that can come of this is to warn other potential, unsuspecting victim consumers about the potential perils of purchasing LG products.

Bought a microwave in Canada in November to bring south for the winter as we are Canadian snowbirds. Arrived in Yuma, Az and about 2 weeks after arrival the microwave quit working. There is a manufacturing date of July 2015 stamped right on the microwave but all my paperwork for purchase is in Canada. I phoned LG and without the paperwork they will do nothing. I tried desperately to get some paper work from Canada but was unable to get. I therefore have to go buy another microwave to get me through the winter. I can get the micro repaired when I get back to Canada in April and produce the paperwork but then Ill have 2 microwaves which doesnt make much sense. I asked the LG person that I phoned how they could not just repair it when the manufacture date is stamped right on it. NO EXCEPTIONS he said. This to me is absolutely ridiculous. I will never buy another LG product as long as I live.

Have a LG Dishwasher Model LDS4821ST. After purchasing this and about 2-3 months later notice a bad odor. A few days after cleaning dishes it smelled like something died in the unit but the smell was inside. After putting off calling LG I could not stand the smell any more so I emailed them. They e-mailed me back with recommendations such as Check your disposal for odors and try putting in vinegar and run a cycle with no dishes. Did not help the odor still there.A few days later this was still barely in warranty. I emailed again and they gave me a claim number and a repair service to call, the service guy said You still have to pay and that claim number is a conversation number not for me to charge LG. Repairs that would cost $300 and replace a part is up to me and you will not have the odor again. Yeah right I think it a bad design on the draining system that bacteria starts to develop. They do not stand behind their products. I even stated in second email that if the service guy says its my fault I would pay for the call. At this point I am probably going to buy a different brand. My KitchenAid lasted for 12 years with no issues.

I bought a LG refrigerator (model no. LFXS30766S) on December 2015. After two years of service the compressor went bad. I was able to get LG to replace the compressor, since it was still under its 10 year warranty although the repair cost me about $250 on labor cost. Now on February 2020 the second compressor when also bad. It is my conclusion that LGs linear inverter compressors are complete garbage and LG shall issue a recall and replace them or issue refunds to all customers with this problem.

Last August, I purchased an LG 31 cubic foot side by side refrigerator. A couple of months ago, it started making a loud noise and did not seem to be keeping food as cold. I called LG and they promptly dispatched a repairman. He was wonderful... spent 5 hours in my house and told me he didnt think that it was fixed and would be back in a couple of weeks and to call if there was an issue. A few days later, it started making a different noise and everything in the freezer melted. He came back, looked at some things and said he thought it should be replaced and would start the process with LG and we unplugged it due to the noise. A few days later, LG told him to to come back and try something again. He did, and it started cooling again. So I restocked. Within a couple of days, it stopped cooling again. Repairman came out again, to run some more tests. So, here I am 5 weeks after the initial repairman visit, 4+ weeks after my refrigerator stopped working all together, and several calls to LG directly getting nothing but the runaround. FINALLY, someone called me back, told me they would be sending a replacement 7-10 business days after they send me a form to fill out and I send the form back. AND, they have the nerve to tell me that I am responsible for disposing of the old refrigerator. SERIOUSLY???? What a joke. This must be the worst customer service experience EVER.

Just want to chime in here... I just googled I hate my LG refrigerator and am shocked to see so many people PUT OUT, financially, time-wise, logistically... for these EXPENSIVE refrigerators! I had a perfectly good ole side-by-side Whirlpool. Didnt like the freezer, too narrow, couldnt even fit a frozen pizza without taking it out of the box... you probably all know what Im talking about. So my husband buys me this (visually) great-looking LG French door fridge, Christmas last year. 28.8 cubic feet, white and sassy. Pattys in love! Supposedly $3000 but on sale for $1800 at Brandsmart. Still a pretty penny, and I added a 5-year warranty.Last month I was clearing dishes and walked into my kitchen and wiped out in a puddle of water, everything flew everywhere, I landed on my knee... awesome bruise! Lucky I didnt break my neck or cut myself on the wine glasses I was carrying that went crashing to the floor. Angry much? How do I summarize this quickly? Cant! It took two weeks, scads of phone calls (of course ALL calls are taken by someone in Asia and the voice recognition software doesnt recognize the word refrigerator more than half the time and there are no options to actually press a number button)... I lost most of my food, lived out of a cooler, constantly buying ice... when the local fridge repairman came he was GREAT but said it needed a new computer panel. Fine. 3 days later, computer panel installed, fridge working again. More phone calls, claim filed, fought for $150 food reimbursement.STORY OVER? NO! Its happened AGAIN! Puddles on the floor, melted frozen goods... and I am... well, Ill just be nice and say upset! Of course LG is SO SORRY, MAAM... we can get someone over there in 3 days! I must confess to yelling NO WAY! and today (its Monday 10/22 & the fridge started plotzing on Saturday) my friendly repairman came a day early because I WHINED on the phone this morning to them.NOW I NEED A COMPRESSOR! Back to cleaning out freezer and fridge, living out of a cooler and trips to get ice. Should have one in 2-3 days. Somehow this doesnt ease my mind. Ive declared to LG Im telling everyone I know to never buy LG appliances! They dont seem to care... probably because theyre safely 5000 miles away from me! ;o) Enough said? Thank God I bought the warranty because nothing out of pocket yet. I might go ballistic if I have to pay anything for my 10 month old fridge. Looks arent everything! Sorry I broke up with you, Whirlpool! Good luck, everyone! Thanks for reading my novel!

I bought an LG bottom freezer fridge. I immediately noticed a high pitched whine noise whenever the compressor was running. LG gave me a big runaround but finally sent a tech to check it out. They gave a deposition that it was a normalnoise. All I know is that you can hear it all through the house and is extremely annoying. Potential purchasers be warned. If you dont like a noise that goes through your head like a spike, stay away from LG.

I would love to write you a more detailed letter, but I think it would useless. Eleven hundred dollars is not enough money to buy another refrigerator or pay for my disappointment. I am writing you today regarding my LG3036-ST Gas range that I purchased from Best Buy earlier this year. Recently, while using my stove for the first time the top oven caught fire and the broiler would not shut off. This malfunction resulted in the fire department coming to my home to put out the fire and disconnect the stove. This was the second range that we had been given by LG, the first did not work upon arrival (3 of the burners did not work and the top oven would not turn on). Prior to buying my range, researched extensively for the best product for my limited funds and settled on the LG3036-ST. While I was disappointed that the first range did not work, I was horrified that the second malfunctioned and caught fire. Following the fire, we contacted Best Buy about getting a technician to look at the Range and to replace or fix it. Best Buy sent a representative who looked at the stove and decided that it did indeed malfunction and needed to be replaced. The tech even stated in his report that it was not a grease fire but was caused by a malfunction. As the range is under warranty from LG, Best Buy is requiring a return authorization number. So we began calling their customer service hotline to obtain this number. Our first contact was a call center employee who took our information and said that someone would contact us in 5 days. It was very frustrating that we had to wait 5 days to even TALK to someone who could potentially help us. Finally we spoke to someone at LG who forwarded us along to various departments and more equally unhelpful people. I think we have spoken to 6 or 7 people at this point, with each of them telling me that they couldnt issue a return authorization number but maybe the next person could. We are now heading into our third week of dealing with some of the most incompetent customer service I have ever encountered. The person we are now dealing with, Cindy ** at executive services, has stated to us that we need to obtain a fire report that shows it is a faulty valve that caused the fire. So, I took time off of work (which cost me money) and went to the fire station who then told me that in our city (Chattanooga, TN) they are not allowed to state cause of damage unless it is an arson investigation, which this is not. Their report is so broad, it simply states fire in the kitchen. After relaying this information back to **, she then told us that your technical department believes that the fire is a grease fire and not due to your products failure. They think this off of pictures taken by my wife on HER CELLPHONE. They are directly contradicting the actual repairman who has seen the oven in person based off pictures on a cellphone of the exterior of the stove. After a few days of stalling, LG agreed to return the stove yesterday June 19th only to rescind their offer today June 20th after their techs looked at the cellphone picture again. They literally took the word of a tech behind a computer in Korea over a tech who physically came to our house and diagnosed the problem. I realized in that moment that LG has no intention of helping us and are only seeking to further their corporate bottom-line. We have been more than patient as their customer service department has stalled, passed the responsibility and blatantly lied about the cause of the fire. There have been no apologies for our situation, no efforts to help and no basic human decency. To say that I am frustrated is a huge understatement. In building our home, we also purchased a few whirlpool appliances, two of which had a few small issues. Rather than give us the run-around, like your company has done, Whirlpool responded quickly and had a service person at our home within 24 hours who not only fixed the problem but went above and beyond in helping us. I was so pleased I have encouraged my friends and family to purchase Whirlpool products and I will continue doing so in the future. In direct contrast is the service LG has provided. I will never purchase an LG product again, I will also discourage everyone I know within my sphere of influence against purchasing LG products.

Bought the LG front loading washer 4 years ago. Thought it would be better and more cost effective. I have been fighting a losing battle with the rubber gasket from the first year of use! I have followed all the guidelines; keep the door open after use and dry the folds in the gasket. I even leave a small wash clothin the gasket to soak up the water. I use the different products made for cleaning these washers (tide, etc.), but still the black mold and also the odor from the washer is really bad!!! It also takes 3xs as long to wash clothes, so I dont see the saving; maybe use less water, but using more electricity to wash! And, the spin cycle is really loud and the vibration is so bad, that it shakes everything from top of washer to the floor! Wonder if the gasket could be replaced? I will definitely, go back to buying a top loader, as this has been a huge disappointment! S/N 007KWGG06175 Model WM2050CW

I bought an LG ThinQ side by side in March of 2021 and July 2021 the compressor no longer works. It is not making ice nor dispensing water, the bottom half of the fridge freezes as well as the bottom of the freezer. I have been waiting patiently for the fridge to be repaired but when they came to repair it he explained that he would have to take the entire back off which will release all kinds of fumes into the air which could make us sick. Seeing as though we only had the fridge for 4 months we felt LG should replace it or return the money we spent for it or at least replace the money I have lost in groceries. Needless to say I am still without a refrigerator a month later, they claim my fridge was fixed 2 weeks ago and the tech came this past Saturday, my food was spoiled (after I spent 600 in food 3 days prior) and I have had to spend money daily to feed my family. LG is terrible to work with and needless to say their product is too. They sold me a lemon and now I am stuck with it and I have to purchase a new fridge. Thank you, LG for absolutely nothing!!!!

I recently purchased a LG Refrigerator side by side from Home Depot in Tucson AZ. After being installed by the delivery and installation company the installer advised me to leave the refrigerator alone for 24 hrs after which, it should be at operating temperatures. When I opened the left door, I noticed it would slam shut, and the water being dispensed from the refrigerator door was considerably warm. I contacted LG customer help and asked two simple questions about the door and water temperature and was advised by an individual that continually avoided the question I inquired about. After numerous attempts to resolve my issues I disconnected. Now I have to try and resolve my issues with Home Depot.

I purchased an LG electric range and refrigerator. An extended warranty was not purchased, as I didnt feel a $1400.00 range and $1700.00 refrigerator would require repairs in a 5-year period. The refrigerator has been problematic (leaks and broken plastic drawers), but it keeps the food cold. So well deal with the unsightly leaks and work to the best of our ability to keep our expensive wood floor dry. My current problem is my electric range. It quit working altogether, and by reading many complaints, the model is infamous for this breakdown. In speaking to LG customer service department, the only remedy she could offer is the name and number for the only repairman they have contracted in the Louisville area. An appointment was arranged with Universal Appliance, which was confirmed before I took 5 hours of unpaid time off from work. Needless to say, they did not show up. I was given an explanation and told they would be here before 10 am the following day (more unpaid time off work). It is 9:55 am and still no repairman. I am left with a non-working 2-year-old electric range and up to this point $150.00 pay deduction. I am disappointed in the sub-standard quality of my LG products and feel I have no recourse.

Now, another problem, I am told my software has to be updated with a new main board and I need a new clutch. By the time Im finished, I can purchase a new (American made) machine. We are empty nesters, have very little laundry and the machine is 3 years old. It is a piece of crap. I would never recommend purchasing from this company. Terrible out-of-the country customer service offering very little help - not to mention a horrific language barrier. We purchased the LPXS30866D Refrigerator as part of a complete set from Costco when we were remodeling a home. The refrigerator is just 4 years old when we woke up one morning to have everything thawed. We were told the compressor went out and to set up a repair through LG Support. We did that and were told we would be contacted in 3 to 5 days. A few days went by and we hadnt heard anything so I called again, they said I should hear something in a few days. Once again when I didnt get any calls I called again and was told my first submission was cancelled! So, I had to start the whole process again with waiting the 3 to 5 days just to hear from someone to even schedule and appointment. Finally got an appointment scheduled for the repair but when the day of the appointment came the LG liaison showed up but the repairman did not. The LG liaison apologized and told us he would get back with us on another date. 10 days later we were scheduled again for the repair this time both showed up BUT, then the repairman realized what the repair was and he refused to do it and left! The LG liaison doesnt actually work for LG and had been very nice. He said his boss would be calling us but later in the day when we hadnt heard from him we texted him. He told us he totally apologized and understood our frustration. He said his best suggestion is for us to contact LG!!! So were back to square one! Its been 4 weeks without a refrigerator and were beyond frustrated. There is a serious problem with LG repair services!

I bought an LG True Steam Balance washer and dryer 2 years ago. Without a doubt, my 30 year old agitator washer and dryer in our house up north function much better. I purchased on the strength of Consumer Reports recommendation and because I thought the steam option would be useful. Consumer Reports really blew this one or else the report was written by some young person who considers wrinkles a fashion statement.EVERYTHING and I include towels, comes out so wrinkled that it requires touching up with an iron. I cannot WAIT to get rid of this washer and dryer; it makes life harder, not easier. I cant fault the cleaning; the clothes are cleaned just fine, but I believe that the washer spins with such ferocity that wrinkles are set into the clothes and no amount of tumbling, or taking them out of the dryer while damp, will eradicate the wrinkles.

Update on 12/07/2019: I wrote on here about a LG REFRIGERATOR that failed in 4 years. LG responded and asked me to send private message and they would help. I was pretty impressed but no one has contacted me in 5 days. Meanwhile I am without a fridge. I guess to them not a big deal but I would think the average reviewer would understand the impact and urgency of being without. I also have not got contacted about someone coming out to repair. Appt canceled and after 5 days no idea on status. LG, UNEXPECTEDLY LOSING A FRIDGE IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR A FAMILY. If you want follow on business, act with some sense of urgency to support your products. Week 1 without a refrigerator.Original Review: I bought an LG refrigerator 4 years ago and experienced a failure day after Thanksgiving. Got stuck on hold for over 30 minutes first day but got a hold of LG pretty quickly on Monday morning. They have a known compressor issue. They did offer to have someone come out. Would replace compressor if that is issue but there are no service folks near me even though I live in Bloomington INDIANA with a population of about 50000 to 80000 [when students are here). Best Buy sold me the fridge and they could care less. Lesson learned. So I will have to wait another 3-5 business days to even talk about an appointment. Meanwhile no fridge. So I will call it a loss. No more appliances from Best buy and no more LG products. But an expensive, inconvenient lesson unfortunately. It might have gotten resolved faster if I lived in a metropolitan area. I expect much more than 4 years from a refrigerator and I would not expect to need to pay $300 for an extended warranty. I paid $1399 on a Black Friday deal. The fridge was not loud, worked ok until it failed, ice maker wasnt great and ice got stuck in chute often.

We purchased an top of the line all stainless steel LG Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in 2009 and from day 1 had nothing but trouble with both of them. The washer was constantly out of balance even though the washer had the true balance system, then the computer board went bad, then the door switch and drain pump quit. The dryer has never dried correctly, it always takes about double the normal time to thoroughly dry. It has cost me over $500.00 to keep them running for less than 5 years, LG should be in the junk business as they excel at it.

This washer is supposed to be top of the line material! I have owned it for less than 2 1/2 years and it has been nothing but trouble for 2 years!!! First, I was told that my water pressure was too low for it. So, I had someone work on my well pump to increase my pressure. Not the cure for my problem! Second, I was told it wasnt level. I had it leveled and checked several times. Still the same issues. Third, I was told that my Gain laundry detergent (which I have used my entire adult life) was the problem. Keep in mind, it has HE on the label. Indicating it is for High Efficiency washers. So, I changed detergents. Still not cured??? I have called LG company trying to do the Smart Diagnosis for it. I was put on hold for over an hour, 2 different times! I have to check on my laundry at least 3 times or more for every load. It will pause and throw error IE, UE, or uE with every load!!! My clothes DO NOT get clean! It takes at least 2 hours to do 1 load! Sometimes, it takes ALL day to do 1 load! I am fed up! I am tossing this hunk of junk out and buying a standard old style washer! I want knobs to turn and an agitator that turns and cleans my clothes!

LFX319255T/03 - We read reviews and paid $2500.00 for this LG which is 2 1/2 years old at this point. Within the 1st year the entire electronic panel died and had to be replaced. This was handled under warranty but of course this means losing everything in my refrigerator/freezer twice before it was fixed as well as living without a refrigerator for several days while waiting for service. Then it developed mildew and another service call was necessary. Now it had stopped working again and they are telling us they have no approved service providers in our area to fix it (Cumberland County, NJ). LG had a lawsuit regarding these refrigerators and reimbursed customers for some of their lost food but having new, expensive refrigerator that breaks down every six months seems outrageous! I have a $2500.00 useless refrigerator sitting in my kitchen. LG says we should hear back from them within three days if they can find someone to repair it or we can find someone and give them the name!!! We called three local companies who will not touch repairs that are under warranty. I would avoid this refrigerator unless you like cleaning it out yearly and have checked to make sure you have service providers in this area.Updated on 12/16/2015: We spoke with 17 LG representatives including their Executive Department and 9 appliance service centers. There were originally no service providers in our area and no reputable companies accepted payment directly from LG or wanted to work with them. Long story short, we had to file a small claim action in order to get this resolved but now we are accepting a LG replacement refrigerator which also has reviews of disrepair. I am hoping we have better luck with this product but I would not recommend purchasing any LG product at this point. They were a nightmare to deal with and provide very poor customer service. Since we will need to sign an agreement not to discuss this refrigerator and our experience in order to get a replacement, I wanted to post my experiences prior to agreeing to this settlement. I hope this will help others avoid the same mess.

Purchased six years ago. We had to change the motor after three years of very moderate use... then we had to get new springs kit for the door. Now, the water inlet valve is in trouble. We had a KitchenAid pour close to 20 years with only one call to the repair shop... This LG dishwasher is going to cost more in repair bills than we paid for it. The worse dishwasher we ever had. We also got trouble with our LG fridge (door gasket to be change every 2 years) and now the microwave touchpad (control panel) is out of order.

Suddenly my less-than-3 month old, top of the line LG 4.5 Steam Washer started spewing water all over the floor. Called, got questioned about using too much soap (I dont). Got repair referral, they came, and a rubber hose inside had burst. OK, order a new one to be overnighted but hey, guess what? Its on back-order and not due in for weeks. Called LG and got the run-around and an offer of $ for the laundromat. She basically admitted its a bad part, and is back-ordered because everyone needs it. So, Id say dont buy one because not only do they break, the company doesnt stand behind its product.

Please learn from my mistake. In January 2018 I purchase over $6200 worth of LG products (Stove, Microwave, Refrigerator, Washer & Dryer). Within the first month, the stove started to smell like it had a gas leak. We called their repairman and he couldnt find anything. We kept smelling gas and called him back and he still couldnt find the problem. We had to turn off the gas after each use because we felt leaving it on was such a hazard. After 12 months, the microwave stove working. Now the refrigerator. We just purchased a different brand stove which works great! We have a LG graveyard started, its just a matter of time before the rest of the appliances end up there.

A stove in one of our cabins had to be replaced so I put my Whirlpool glass top in the cabin and purchased a new LG Range and Microwave for my house. 3 yrs + 1 month later my glass top broke; not covered by warranty of course. So after being shipped 2 damaged tops, a new one was installed for a mere $391.55. Had been cooking on Whirlpool glasstop for years so didnt realize you had to treat an LG with kid gloves. Less than 1 year later (now), and theres nothing in hell I could have done to cause this, the electronic start button wont work - just the start button - every other one works. We all now know only certain companies can work on LGs right. So serviceman came out, assessed the situation and it was exactly how I described it to them on the phone, had to order a new panel and will come back in 2 weeks to install. Panel arrived today in an extremely large box (box couldve held 24) - no padding, just a little paper and sliding around in the box. I have no idea if its still in working order or ruined by being slammed around. The exact model number of my range is listed under a recall notice. I sent them information and was told it was NOT one of those recalled even though the numbers matched. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. What bothers me is we have at least 10 LG TVs on the property so now I can wonder what will be happening to them. I truly believe LG started out with quality products; then when sales started to boom they decided to cheapen and thought the stupid consumers wouldnt catch on...JMO.

Weve had an LG washer (model WT5170HV) for about two years. We are having our second major problem with this machine. This time it is not stopping! It will start with saying 52 minutes for the full washing cycle and take almost three hours to complete. Needless to say, the repairman is coming out. I do not recommend purchasing an LG washing machine. Repair calls are expensive. If this repair is more than a couple hundred dollars, were dumping this machine and buying something else.

I purchased an the 22 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator. Delivery was delayed 17 days. I moved to a new state where I know no one! 17 days of eating out during Covid times was challenging and expensive. I asked LG for an inconvenience fee and was offered $25! I said no. Then I was offered $50, then $75. I refused all offers. I was spending $30-$50 a day in eating out which cost me over $800! I asked to speak to a manager, who after one week of waiting, never called. I spent countless hours waiting on hold with LG customer service. The last attempt today I spoke with Tim who actually argued with me. He insisted that LG will not give more than $75. I work in customer service and call centers so I know what they are allowed to offer and say. Tim was more than rude and had zero understanding nor care of my situation. He continually cut me off when I was speaking! Who does he think he is?I love my fridge, but the customer service at LG needs a full revamp! I hope the call was recorded because Tim should be fired for how he spoke to me. Apparently a manager is supposed to contact me.... This is the 2nd time Ive heard that. Well see. LG has not heard the last of me. Im now even more angry with how I have been treated. After 17 days with no fridge and now 2 weeks of waiting on hold with LG....unbelievable!

Washer is staining clothing, and the stains will not come out. Ive had 2 repair people (both sent by LG) come out and they have both told me it should be replaced. After numerous calls to LG, and their stating they never got any feedback from the repair techs, they finally tracked down the comments. LG has said that the feedback they received from the first service tech was he couldnt find the problem...and since he didnt even take out any tools to dismantle the machine, that is true. But when he told me it should be replaced, and that would be what he would communicate to LG, I believed him. After asking for a 2nd opinion, they sent a 2nd tech who also advised it should be replaced. However, LG said that 2nd tech said it needed to be repaired but that I declined further service (which is absolutely false). Happy to have it repaired, replaced, whatever...just want to have a washing machine that doesnt leave stains on my clothing...but it seems LG doesnt want to replace a faulty product, nor do they want to send qualified repair people to actually address the problem. Super frustrated, and will never buy another LG product again, as this experience has been completely awful.

So disgusted with my LG Top Load Washer purchase. Bought 5 years ago. Never have thought my clothes were getting clean, but 2 years ago we went on vacation for 3 months. After coming home I started to get a rash. Over this time it has gotten so bad I have gone to 2 specialists. I use the cleaning tablets like I am suppose to and the washer appears to be clean. I take the dispenser out once a month and clean it in bleach. Lately I have noticed it has black mold on it. Today I inspected the place where it slides in and it is black with mold. Got some mold cleaner and sprayed up into it, but black mold keeps coming out from up inside. No wonder my family is having issues. This thing is leaving my house and going straight to the junkyard. BUYER BEWARE. Purchased at H. H. Gregg, Greenwood, IN (out of business).

If I could I would have NO STAR - We’ve had nothing but bad luck with our LG appliances- first of all our dishwasher -the control panel went haywire 5 months after we got it- well that happened 2 more times since. When we built our home we also bought an LG gas range, refrigerator and microwave. So last year we went to Alaska and when we came home in August the stove control panel also had gone haywire. You cannot properly read the numbers that tell you the temperature/time so when you set the temperature you have no idea what youre setting it to. Called LG and after hours on the phone with them to get it repaired they did NOTHING. Our cost to find out by the repairman (we paid for) that to fix it we would spend more than what a new oven would cost. It is barely over a year old and possibly failed prior to being a year old! 2 days ago we woke up to our LG French door refrigerator inside as warm as our room temperature and everything inside ruined. It is just barely 2 years old! Called LG for repairs- ended up having to get our own repair guy, and it has a bad compressor, won’t read codes, and needs a new control board. The repairman said it’s an extensive repair and could possibly fail again easily (read class action law suit on them). Called LG back and now we have to wait to hear from Service Power to see if anyone can fix it. They offered NOTHING for the loss of food but would send us up to $200 for a mini fridge- and he’d send us an email for doing so- still waiting for that. These appliances cost thousands of dollars! Buyer Beware!!! They are junk!

Purchased LG Model LFXS29626B because of good reviews and it had features we desired like 2 ice makers. Worked fine for 3 years then stopped without any signs of problems. Research discovered common failures of the compressors in these LG refrigerators. Contacted LG by phone and using Smart Diagnosis was informed by the technician that the compressor had failed. My worse fear with no extended warranty. LG offered to repair my unit without cost to me. It was repaired the same day, in short time as the repairman came with required parts on hand. I applaud LG for owning this problem, but feel cautious wondering if the new compressor will fail after a short time period. We hope not because up to this point, it has served us well and we like the looks, and features. Previous refrigerator was a Kenmore, which lasted 16 years and cost one fourth of the LG.

The LG customer service is by far the worst that I have come across and I have worked in sales for god sake! The refrigerator we have had has broken about 4 times in the last two months with the repair people only being able to come in two weeks after the incident and saying that they cant replace the compressor until they have someone else come in and review the situation a week later making the first house visit a complete waste of time and not even necessary in the first place. On top of this upon calling the company themselves you will put you on hold for up to four hours while you hear the staff laughing in the back because they didnt even mute your end of the line properly with them telling you that theres not point in transferring the call to speak to someone else because they know what they are going to tell you already and this is coming from the staff themselves. Their products do not work properly as advertised so while the fridge wont give you any indicator that says that the temperatures are not adequate enough to store the food or cool it properly causes many health concerns that the staff did not seem to care about one bit. Due to the inability for this company to have some sense of product quality control I got very severe food poisoning to which I have a doctors note for and was told that I was lucky that it didnt result in death if I had eaten enough but unfortunately we dont all get so lucky. A couple of days ago we had to put my cat down due to sicknesses she received from her food not being cooled to the proper temperature and suffered greatly to the point she threw up so much bile that her insides became so inflamed that it made her unable to walk or even put pressure on herself to which I again have a Veterinarians note for and the staff not thinking it is a big deal because apparently it was just a cat and not a human even though I could have suffered the same fate as her to which they probably would not have blinked an eye too. After being put on hold and trying to solve this for the fourth time I was told someone would come in today that was sent by the company (11/29/2019) to which no one has came and they are not responding to my calls further proving that you will get the runaround. After all thats happened I just wanted to have a good thanksgiving or would have even settled for a thanksgiving at all but the food has been spoiled for almost three weeks now with my family being unable to refrigerate anything and still having to wait for a second review from the company themselves on the 6th which makes you question why the first person came in to look at the fridge in the first place. I was frustrated before not being able to eat properly but after four hours on hold and the head of their technology department saying that someone would be here today I had thought the problem was closer to getting fixed but im guessing that the no show for the promise that someone would come in today and the fact that they are not responding is their way of telling me that they dont really care and just said anything they could to get me off the phone. These products are not only unreliable but also unsafe and if you have a family or little kids should take into account that you are putting their lives at risk by using their products as well as your own with you being lucky if they take any accountability or even respond to your calls to do so. All in all I am not mad but just incredibly disappointed as I sit here waiting on the same problem to be fixed and not being able to feel the fur of my cat/hear her little footsteps around the house anymore as I am constantly reminded of it by the death trap that sits in my kitchen. If this can happen to me I am sure that it can and probably has happened to someone else and since I see that there are responses from the company on this website, I would also like the same with the hopes that this problem will be resolved because everyday that I wait is resulting in further irritation and if not responded to am prepared to take more extreme measures considering the loss of life that has occurred and negligence of this company/their staff. Also on a further note, keeping your customers on hold and then not even muting them properly while you take the time to joke and laugh about the loss of their pet is very unprofessional and needless to say not the way to do business especially if you dont know how to properly mute them so that they at least cant hear you while you mock them because they deserve that much at least. I will be awaiting a response on this matter and will reply with the best way to contact me/whatever information is needed to resolve this issue that has gone on longer than it should have and am hoping that you take into consideration how this could and probably has been affecting the others that trusted you enough to use your products/expose their families and loved ones to them. Thank you.

After more than 6 non-productive service calls to my pristine LG washer, wh
After more than 6 non-productive service calls to my pristine LG washer, which was shutting down as a result or a false error code, I sent the following to the head of LG in the US and copied the conglomerates CEO. Nearly two months later, we have not had the courtesy of a reply from this unresponsive, arrogant, incompetent and corrupt company.I am writing directly to you in order to allow LG Electronics the opportunity to rectify a situation involving a washing machine, which has been deemed unrepairable by both an LG-certified repair service company and by your customer service organization, which refuses to offer equitable assistance in resolving the problem. Please note the washing machine is in good condition, not significantly worn, functions very well half of the time, and then shuts down showing a false error message. In brief, the machine in question produces an error code and stops mid-cycle. After more than six service calls, replacement of several parts including the same parts multiple times, and numerous calls to the LG help desk, your authorized service technician declared the machine unrepairable and looked to LG for further guidance or, in the absence of guidance, an offer from LG to replace the machine since it is not repairable and well within what should be its useful life span. LG has refused because the machine, purchased in 2005, is out of warranty.Mr. Cho, understand we are not seeking a free repair. We fully expect to pay for a repair on a machine that while out of warranty is still well within its useful life cycle. However LG has failed to produce an appliance which, when inexplicably logically shuts down, can be repaired by LG authorized service. As a result, we are forced to replace the appliance very prematurely. If you will not replace the appliance, then we request that you provide instruction on how a technician may bypass the board that is producing the erroneous fault code that is shutting down the machine mid-cycle. These good faith solutions are only reasonable. In addition, and as a consequence of LGs failure to produce a machine which can be repaired, we have incurred expenses for sending laundry out to be done. While at this time we are not seeking reimbursement from you for these costs, which are now well over $1,000, we will not hesitate to include them in any legal action which we are forced to take against LG should LG refuse to act in good faith and choose to ignore our reasonable request. Such action may include, but not be limited to, commencement of a consumer fraud action against LG under M.GL 93 A, which provides for treble damages and attorneys fees.Interestingly, from a non-exhaustive online search, we have learned that LG routinely refuses assistance to consumers with out-of-warranty machines, which are still within their useful life but cannot be repaired, because LG maintains the appliances are not intended to last. We therefore believe it would not be a difficult task to win class action status for any action taken against LG for intentional defects in its laundry appliances. In addition we will not hesitate to refer this case to the attorney general of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Mr. Cho, you should know that I was an early and loud proponent of your products and installed them in the laundry rooms of three estates and on my yacht as well. I did this despite the warnings of others that LG was merely the new incarnation of a Korean brand known for shoddy products, Goldstar and Lucky Goldstar. Now, it appears, your detractors were right and LG is interested only in volume sales and not in customer satisfaction or customer loyalty.Mr. Cho, I do hope we can resolve this problem amicably and without legal action or publicity. However, please do not underestimate my resolve. As the founder and former CEO of a multibillion-dollar company, I well understand the difference between good faith effort and fraud. I am hopeful this situation is the former and not the latter. I am a consumer of means and I will not hesitate to pursue my claims against LG. I look forward to hearing back from you.

We bought this refrigerator less than 2 years ago (12/2016). A few weeks ago it stopped cooling. A serviceman from the store where we bought the refrigerator came out to service it, and said the coil with the refrigerant was leaking. BUT, he couldnt fix it because LG only lets its own servicemen fix this problem (according to the serviceman thats because so many LG refrigerators refrigerant coils leak). The serviceman said LG would contact me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. 3 days later we hadnt heard from LG. We again called the store where wed purchased the refrigerator and then said they would call LG directly. Even then (after a week without a refrigerator) LG jerked us around. First, someone would be out the next day. Then 3 days later. After someone finally came and fixed the refrigerator, it stopped working again 3 days later! This time we went directly to the store where we had purchased the model, and they agreed to replace the refrigerator. LG wont do squat to rectify their defective product. But they need to get out of the refrigerator department, complete failures, TWICE!!

We purchased a Kenmore Model 79551833412 side by side refrigerator that was manufactured for Sears by LG. This units compressor failed after 17 months. I came to learn there was a class action lawsuit filed against LG for this same issue which unfortunately was dismissed. Because my mother in law is 88 years old and the estimated cost of repair was nearly the cost of a new refrigerator we chose to purchase her a new refrigerator rather than wait for it to be repaired. Sears says their warranty is only one year but the Sears rep said that the manufacturer provides a longer warranty on the compressor but labor would not be included. I contacted LG to see if they would do anything for us. They said that our recourse was with Sears so they wont stand behind their product. Stay away from LG refrigerators.

Purchased new LG side by side from Home Depot in fall of 2012. Rust started appearing under the water/ice maker after the 1 year warranty had passed. The shelves also started to break about that time. It looks disgusting and I called LG for remedy and they said for me to do regular maintenance! Now I have moved to another home that has stainless appliances and cannot use this white fridge. Who wants it now... No one due to the rust on the front. Horrible experience.

On October 26th the oven of my LG range exploded. On Monday October 27 my husband call the office where we have the extended warranty from. They told us the technician would call us the next day. He did and came out and told us the range would have to be replace. He would hand in his report that day and we should hear something from the warranty office within 5 days. My husband has called the warranty office twice a week for the last 5 weeks, and still nothing as to when or if we will get a replacement range. Christmas is 3 weeks away and I have not been able to do any baking or anything. As for Christmas dinner, it appears we will be having bologna sandwiches instead of Turkey. I am so disgusted and upset. The store my husband bought the range from is The Brick in Kitchener Ontario, and they say they cant do anything until they hear from LG.. I think it is totally deplorable how an appliance company can get away with this crap. Yet Oprah thinks their appliances are so great. I have news for her. They arent.

I was so glad to add a new stylish refrigerator to my kitchen. Counter depth, window that lets you see inside the fridge, an extra door to open for just drinks. AWESOME! I told my friends, they were glad I updated my kitchen. Well none of them want to hear about how much LG is a terrible product. I had a refrigerator delivered and it did not work properly, had a second delivered, and it was malfunctioning, took two days off work to it serviced and it still does not work. The customer service is horrible. They know how say, That is not our protocol. Instead of LG, buy a cooler and ice. Your food will stay fresher.

This was the biggest mistake buying the LG LFX 2578ST. After only 6 months the compressor conked out. LG has left us waiting for a replacement compressor on order that will take 2 or 3 days at which point the repair person would be sent out. I have always bought Miele and Bosch appliances but because we had space limitations the LG was perfect, looked good and had all the features we needed. The fridge I replaced was 12 years old and we never had a problem with it. LG has been less than helpful and really left us stranded with no fridge. I have no confidence in their product and customer service has been disappointing. They are not solution focused, have no intention of replacing the fridge and state they will cover only $250 in perishables in a lifetime. I would not recommend this product, have found the entire experience frustrating. This is a company that does not stand behind their product nor do they practice the art of great customer service.

My LG dryer is leaking gas from somewhere and I had the gas company come out to isolate that the issue isnt with the gas line or connection. He confirmed something is wrong with the dryer, marked it a fire hazard, and unplugged it. Furthermore, we had our dryer duct cleaned to remove the possibility that it was a blocked vent. The gas issue still exists. Was on the phone with LG for at least over an hour trying to come to some resolution. The hallmark response from them was unfortunately you are outside the 1 year warranty. The issue Im having has nothing to do with warranty and is a SAFETY and potential recall issue which they obviously didnt want to address, stating that enough people need to call in and report this issue before we issue a recall. What makes the issue so dangerous is that GAS is leaking somewhere and LG is unwilling to even send someone out as a courtesy to check. Whats worse is that there could be MANY customers out there with this problem who dont even know it or think its a big deal (we thought it was normal until we had the Gas company check it a few months later on my wifes intuition). If enough gas leaks and something ignites it, that could mean a blow-out of the dryer or worse yet potential injury via explosion or fire. Its obvious LG cares very little about the safety of their customers, especially when they keep implying these kinds of things are warranty related issues. This is major neglect IMHO. If there are ever any incidents in future related to LG and gas leaks, this shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone and it certainly wont for me. This is the last time Ill be getting a set of LG appliances... thats for sure. Ive only had this set for five years too.

Less than 2 years old. UE message regularly, takes a very long time to finish a cycle on speed wash, only Methesula could attempt a different cycle. But I can live with all that - now it is leaking from inside. This was a terrible mistake and definitely a piss poor machine. I am 50 years old and I have never had service this bad from a washing machine.

If you are in the market for any product that LG Global makes, BUYER BEWARE! I have a dryer that is less than 2 yrs old and I have been trying to get a courtesy repair since it’s the dryers electronic control board has gone bad! My dryer is less than 2 yrs old and warranty only covers 12 mos. The customer Service for this company is non-existent. “When” you get people on the phone you can understand, and you’ve spoke to 3 customer service people and so you ask for a supervisor and they say “I can’t do that”. There’s a huge problem.I am so furious and tired of each customer service rep asking for the entire history again snd then wanting to open a new call it gets RIDICULOUS. DOESNT ANYONE PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL YOU BACK TO HAVE A CONVERSATION? They don’t seem to care.??? DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS, YOU WILL BE SCREWED WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN (and it will) AND THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR $$$ SO THEY DONT CARE!???

In my last LG fridge it had the see through door that lit up when you tapped it and I actually really like that feature. It saves power to not have to open the door to gaze into the fridge when unsure of what to eat. The only thing I disliked about it was how slow the water came out of the door. I dont know if this was a filter design problem or what but I tried everything to rectify the problem and nothing worked. I chose to buy the fridge because its a brand I trust and the price was reasonable. Overall I would say that it did meet my expectations.

I purchased these 2 items less than 5 months ago. The fridge stopped making ice, and the range is not working at all. I called LG and they sent a tech to fix it. He ordered a part, replaced it, and still the same, now they canceled todays appt, for no reason, and apparently tomorrow another tech will come to check again, then they will keep changing parts and guessing what it is. I told Customer Service that I have been like these for 2 wks already, with nowhere to cook, and I needed these to be fix ASAP. I told them to please change my new range for another one. Mine has become refurbish since they keep replacing parts, its not original no more. But LG continues to allegate, that they cannot do anything but just wait for the tech to see what it is. They say they cannot change my equipment for a new one, it can ONLY be repaired. I hope any issues like this will be covered under the Manufacturers Warranty, but I can see this is not true. At the end the Consumer can not even respond in the proper way and solve anything. What a shame. I am very disappointed, and for sure WILL NOT BUY OR RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYBODY.

Noise! Popping, knocking noises from my LG side-by-side Refrigerator! At first, I only noticed it happening at night. Now, they are happening in daytime as well. Sometimes, it is really loud! The sound comes from the inside. Sometimes, it was from the fridge or from the freezer. I have tried reporting this to their Customer Service Department but I come to a conclusion that they must not have one because I have never had a reply!

We have a LG4801CW top loader washing machine that has had a slow leak we just discovered, as there was never water visible on the side or front of washer to indicate leaking. However, overtime water has been leaking out of the back of the tub as far as a plumber can tell going behind the washer and under our trim and tiles/sub floor. After a year and a half of having the washer we noticed two of our tiles had cracked by the washer. When my husband pulled up the tiles, we found mold and water in the sub floor around the washer and more cracked tiles hiding behind the washer. We have contacted LG and they wanted to charge us to come fix THEIR FAULTY PRODUCT that was 1.5 years old because it was no longer under warranty. Pretty sad when they dont stand by a product that is 1.5 years old. They were supposedly reviewing our case and would get back to us in 3-5 days, yet have not and we have called them several times and it has been a lot longer than 5 business days. I feel like we are getting the runaround and Im sick of having a torn up house. Because of the damage to our flooring and since we have an open floor plan this has resulted in ~10,000k in flooring we have to tear up because we cant just replace one section. They no longer make our tile and we are out of extras. The plumber that came out said dont buy LG products as the design is too new and are very frequently faulty.
