I purchased an LG Refrigerator Door-in-Door in December 2015. On September 14, 2014 I woke up to water all over my kitchen floor due to ice melted in freezer. First thing was to use troubleshooting guide. Did all resets suggested with no results. Called LG and went through all that again with them. Was told to reset and wait 24 hrs then check and call if not cooling. Needless to say this did not work. I lost a freezer and refrigerator full of food. All spoiled. Following Saturday a repairman came out and said that compressor was gone. They ordered a compressor on September 22, 2016. Today is Oct. 10, 2016 and I still have no resolution.I have made many calls both to LG and the place supposedly responsible for repair with no satisfaction. I have never encountered such poor customer service in my life. I just walked around my home and realized that I have 3 LG TVs, a Blu Ray, refrigerator, and microwave. Therefore it is obvious I have spent a lot of money on LG products. I now see that the company does not stand behind its products so I will not purchase any more of their merchandise. As I looked through the reviews I see that I am not alone. LG MUST NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CONSUMERS. So as customers we need to let them know that there is no excuse for such poor workmanship or service.

I have had my LG refrigerator just over 1 year and the compressor has gone out today. I can not get a repair person to even look at it, including those listed on the LG site, because of the issue with these compressors and the trouble getting parts.

I bought an LG refrigerator 5yrs ago. I have had problems with the freezer area freezing up and causing problems then I started having other problems, the compressor went bad and it was under warranty for 10 yrs. I called LG and they wanted to just push me off and give me a bunch of BS. They gave me a number of one of their certified companies to come work on it, so I do just that. The company comes out and I had to pay for the service call, then they told me that I had to pay for the part, which is 800.00 and then I had to get LG to refund me. Then I called LG and they said, No, that the company had to get it. The company that LG sent out to my house refused to buy the piece, stating that LG does not want to refund them the product. I should not have to deal with this. I finally got that issue taken care of and not something else is wrong with the refrigerator. I am done, getting rid of it, and I will NEVER have another LG product. EVER.

I bought a washer and dryer, one on top of the other one, with stacking kit offered by LG. It is even in the manual as an option for the customer from Home Depot. The washer is leaking from the bottom when it was two months old... I cant believe a brand new machine is not working right in only two months. How can I be sure when they delivered this washer at my house that it was brand new? I am very suspicious with how Home Depot and LG do business. I have this one year warranty offer by LG. Well, it is not like that. I called for service and first of all, they dont have their own technicians. They hire subcontractors who really dont know what they are doing, thats why so many stupid people, instead of fixing, were messing the machines up.On top of it all, this subcontractor wanted to charge me $145 to put the dryer on the floor in order for them to inspect the washer, which is at the bottom. I called Home Depot and I DID not get any help from them, either. When I bought these machines, they told me it was covered and I didnt have to pay anything if it breaks under the 1-year warranty. They even offered me an extension warranty that I DID not take... It is only two months old, and in order for the technician to come before they inspected the washer and fixed it, I had to come up with $145.What a rip-off. I asked for a manager, and he said the same thing, blaming me for choosing to stack the machines one on top of the other one. They talked nonsense. I wanted to return it to Home Depot...They didnt take it. And they cant even exchange it. I paid for the installation, as well, but it is for nothing that I spent almost $2,000 for these ** LG machines...I will never ever buy LG products. They really suck and it is all a **.

I paid approximately $400 in flat fees for LG to fix my broken dishwasher (2 visits by their representatives STEIN Appliances starting November 2014). Neither of their solutions worked, the dishwasher will still not operate properly and they have yet to refund my money. Instead, they provided me with a credit towards a new one of approx. $450. This in effect will cost me, when you account for the new machine, delivery, installation, taxes approx $1135. I advised them I would accept their offer IF they returned the approx. $400 I paid for repairs the failed to make. In spite of 2 emails, I have not received a response (approx. 20 businessdays).

LG front-load Tromm washer is the biggest waste of good money a home owner can spend. In 2006, company said we were using too much laundry soap so we cut back to 1/4 of the recommended amount from 1/2--no difference. The mold continued to grow despite bleaching, drying, etc. I gave up! LG sucks. Rubber ring is stained with black mold, all it does now is hold up the in efficient dryer.I am now using my old Kenmore top loader that is in the garage hooked up to laundry sink.

Updated on 01/08/2019: After two failures and unsuccessful repairs, Asurion sent another repair company over. The repairman walked into the house and said I know what the problem is already as he heard the compressor groaning in the kitchen. After conferring with his boss over the phone, I was informed that they no longer will do repairs on LG products because LG does not pay their invoice. So not only does Home Depot continue to sell this junk, but the repair shops that would handle the extended warranty repairs will not work on LG. A couple of weeks later, Asurion (out of the blue) called and said that a reimbursement check was being sent. Could that be due to the class action lawsuit recently filed nationwide against LG?? So we got the check, disposed of the LG, and bought a KitchenAid that sits quietly in the kitchen, keeping things cool and keeping us composed. OH, and never a word from LG through any of this business.Original Review: Two Compressors in Two Months...LG is junk: We purchased this LG from Home Depot in December of 2016. It had great features, was very attractive, and large capacity. In November, 2017 we returned home to find the kitchen flooded and the fridge was warm. We called the Home Depot warranty company and a repairman came out two days later. They didnt have local repairmen so he came from 60 miles away btw. He said it was the compressor and he said he replaces LG compressors on a regular basis. Ultimately it took him 3 weeks to obtain one due to LG being out of stock on compressors. He installed it and the warranty company gave us a food reimbursement check. Two days later, the same thing happened! Spoiled food. Flood. Repairman showed up again and repeated the slow ordering process. Home Depot sent over a small dorm fridge just in time for Thanksgiving. Now the compressor is again making noises. LG is totally unresponsive to this; they would rather the repairmen make the repairs for them, that they are too cheap to do upon manufacture.

I had the LG Refrigerator for little over 4 years. Replaced the compressor twice and paid $250 on both occasions. One was 2 years ago and just had my compressor replaced yesterday. The LG customer service is very unpleasant. They put me on hold over 11 minutes and hung up on me. So, I had to call in again, the rep. didnt seem like she wanted to be there and just wanted to collect a paycheck. My wife and I invested $5k in the refrigerator, washer and dryer. We will never again purchase their products. I am going back to GE.

We purchased our fridge in Nov 2018. In March 2020 the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge stopped cooling. We have had 3 tech come in March to service our fridge on 3 separate occasions in order to evaluate our fridge. Each one said that our fridge just needed a software update. We have asked about getting our compressor replaced or them just replacing our unit and each time they refused because the techs state that the problem is the software. Its now June and our fridge just stopped working again today. Ive been on the phone for over an hour to speak with a manager. Im so frustrated with the amount of time and money that we have wasted with this product and company. All I want now is my money back for the product but they are telling me the same tech has to come out and do an evaluation of our fridge again! Never ever purchase an LG refrigerator. They company will do nothing to fix or even attempt to rectify an issue with their products.

I am writing to complain about the product quality of our appliances. We have had all of our appliances for less than 2 years (refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave) and in those 2 years we have had 3 significant issues. The dishwasher was repaired a few months ago because of a major mechanical problem causing the buttons to glitch. Our oven reeks like gasoline every time it is turned on (service request entered to be told it is out of warranty. Cannot be fixed without a $125 fee) And most recently - our brand new microwave just STOPPED working today out of nowhere. It won’t power on even though there is power to the outlet. I was told we had to pay for a service request with no guarantee on product replacement and out of pocket cost. We can’t do that again, and will be forced to buy a new microwave (not LG).The quality of our appliances is completely unacceptable. We bought new appliances and were excited to have them as part of our first home, and their quality and function have been extremely disappointing and unreliable. There is absolutely zero reason why an appliance that costs thousands of dollars should fail like these have. To add, the warranty is outdated and a sham. To give people a year warranty on crappy devices is unfair and not right. They break right outside of the warranty, forcing customers to spend hundreds on parts and labor to repairmen. I will never ever buy another LG product and will make sure I tell my friends and family the same.

I bought my brand new LG fridge in 2008 because it had a lot of room inside. After a couple of months, Ive been having problems since; there were issues after issues. First, it was the ice maker that I needed fixed then it was the fuse. After that, it was the French doors that rubbed against each other so I couldnt close it. Then it was the side vent inside the fridge. Now, its my compressor thats not working; that’s what the service guy told me yesterday. Its on but it’s just blowing hot air inside the fridge and freezer. An LG fridge is not cheap to buy, but it is cheaply made! This LG fridge has caused me so much down time and headache from the day I bought it!

Bought a LG French door refrigerator April 2012. Within 8 months if you use the ice dispenser, it would not stop dispensing ice without jiggling the dispenser. Call LG, they sent someone who brought the wrong part because the person did not understand the problem that I told them about. The repair person said he had to order a new part and it would take a couple of weeks. About three weeks later, I receive a phone call from LG stating that instead of fixing the ice maker they were going to replace the whole refrigerator. That should have been the first sign of trouble. I said ok. They said I need to send them the serial name plate on the inside. I said ok but why. “Well we dont want the refrigerator back, but we dont want any serial numbers on this to void all warranty.” I guess this is because if I sell it I cant claim to have a warranty for it. That’s fine, Im getting a new refrigerator. Mistake number 1. They are going to call me with a date and time. Finally someone else calls to set up delivery and tells me the date and that this refrigerator is only going to have a warranty of 90 days and they are not going to set up the new refrigerator. Mistake number 2. I thought only a couple of months left on this refrigerator, get a new with a couple of extra months. I agreed with this and the people brought in anyways. Now with the new, 8 month later, I now have the error message 1f. I you are thinking about this refrigerator or LG products, stay away. Customer service is rude and thoughtless when it comes to your problem. They have a serious problem with this product and are not willing to fix it.

This has been ongoing since October 2017. We purchased a brand new refrigerator costing us $1500 and it stopped working! LG has sent technicians out to repair the unit however it is not repaired! They have to come out over and over and over again every few months to “repair it”! During this time we are living out of coolers! I I finally got fed up and contacted the corporate office today since my twins have a 103 fever and I’m once again living out of a cooler until they return next week! I spoke to a representative named Milton who was extremely sarcastic and rude! He deemed the unit fixable? Fixable... They have to service it every few months so apparently is defective! He also stated that this was no cost to us! REALLY??? HOW??? It cost to us to continuously miss work over not to mention lose hundreds of dollars worth of groceries! He deemed the refrigerator fixable! They REFUSED to replace it! I’m blown away! BEWARE of the horrible customer service! Wish someone could HELP!!!

Couldnt agree with James of Dover, DE more. Good stuff, James. Didnt think Id ever be laughing so hard about my Awful LG washer. From the day it arrived, it has controlled, taunted and frustrated me to no end. One load cycle averages about 24 hours and three check ins on my part. Considering a washboard as a replacement, to save time, effort and aggravation. And frankly, the matching dryer isnt much better as it almost invariably dries clothes down to damp, at which point I have to start it again to wring out the last ten minutes of time needed to get to dry. Stingy machines with no redeeming qualities. Steer clear.

In November 2007, I bought a beautiful, shiny, black French-door refrigerator (model LFC25760SB). In the last 1 1/2 year, it is slowly falling apart. The wide sliding tray cover falls off every time you open it. The digital sensor control has separated from the roof about 1 1/2 inch, blocking all products when using top shelves. This has caused the malfunction of the temperature controls. It has also caused the plastic clear cover snap out of place. Not to mention, it warped from the heat of the light bulb. I have replaced it twice! Now, the rubber stripping is shredding apart at the top, making opening/closing the doors near impossible. I bought this product, replacing a nice GE side-by-side refrigerator I bought in 1989 that was working perfectly! I was just sick of it and wanted a newly updated appliance. Lets just say this - I am pissed at Best Buy and LG for selling the worst piece of crap I have ever owned. I wont even get into the problems I had when 2 incompetent employees delivered this useless ice box! You, people at LG, are nothing but lying, cheating thieves who pray on hardworking Americans! I will never ever buy from you again! When this refrigerator finally has died (which will be shortly), I will go back to GE and get a reliable product. Your products are junk!

I purchased my LG refrigerator in June 2017 and 3 weeks ago the compressor failed. After a few hours of talking with LG they agreed to send out a repair person to assess the issue. A&E is the only authorized repair in my area that can work on a sealed compressor so an appointment was set for 2 days after my initial call. The repair person let me know that this is a known issue with the LG refrigerators and that even with replacement I might only get another year out of this fridge. LG finally agreed to a one time compressor replacement and A&E ordered the parts. The parts never arrived and instead of re-ordering what was the initial order, A&E insisted that they would have to come back out to my home before they could re-order the parts. They appoint was another 2 days out. When they arrived, they confirmed the parts that needed to be ordered, rescheduled an appointment for August 28 and again ordered, 2019 the parts which arrived 5 days later. The new Super Compressor according the A&E was installed on August 28, 2019 and we were told to wait 24 hours for the appropriate cooling. Since this install my freezer still has not gotten cold, the fridge now will fluctuate from 20 degrees to 56 degrees and now the panel is showing an error code. I am now waiting for A&E to come on Sept 3, 2019 to look at the fridge again. Both LG and A&E only have call centers with trained staff to restate that they are sorry for the inconvenience and nothing more. I am on the verge of 4 weeks without a refrigerator with no end in sight. I based my purchase on the Consumer Reports magazine and website that touted the LG fridge performance and reliability. As a consumer I feel that I have been duped and am potentially looking at investing more money for a refrigerator that works. I would never buy an LG product again after this experience knowing that this was a known issue and LG kept selling their product with the same faulty compressor.

I bought this LG 5-Burner Gas Stove about 4 years ago. The actual stove works great! But, unfortunately, LG really messed up when they designed the plastic knobs. Not only are they cheap and the inside of the knob breaks, they are very dangerous. If you keep the bottom stove open while you are cooking the plastic knobs melt. They told me to do weekly maintenance and keep the door open. I have NEVER heard of such a thing and believe that a customer MUST be told about this prior to purchasing the machine. I did as LG told me because as a working mother, it was easier to just do it than to call and complain again. I was so angry after I spoke with them and listened to the uh huh, uh huh bad attitude. Last week my 7-year old son, walking from his bedroom into mine, walked into the door in the middle of the night (my son cut his leg). I am furious! I called LG to tell them I want a different machine or my money back. Nothing! This is something that must be told to customers prior to purchasing the machine, not after.

I suddenly had an issue with my top loaded LG washer. It turned out that there was a recall on my model and LG sent a technician. Not sure what he did but when he left the washer was working but the electrical distribution was not so he simply connected the machine to an extension cord and left! When I called LG back to get retribution they asked me to contact their supplier to make a claim with them.

What a HORRIBLE company. My refrigerator compressor went out after only 3 years. We have an extended warranty. They failed to show for the service appt, did not notify me via the text chain they CONFIRMED from, called from a FRAUDULENT NUMBER and then said THE CUSTOMER was unavailable? I called that day and rescheduled for 2 days later. They still did not show up. I called and they said they closed the claim because they NEVER HEARD FROM ME after the first appt???? Yes. they did (in fact their EXECUTIVE SUPPORT LINE HEARD FROM ME) and they told me my rescheduled day and time was today 8-12. At this point, they said it was going to be ANOTHER WEEK?! Why NO PRIORITY when THEY caused these delays?? Finally agreed to allow for and outside service provider to come out. I called him immediately and he was amazing. He was there within 30 min to assess the situation. Between him coming and 2 hours later, I got a NEW case number with a NEW service provider (which I didnt need or ask for) and they CANCELLED THE TICKET HE WAS WORKING FROM!!!! Now he cant order parts for me, and they expect me to sit home ALL DAY tomorrow to wait for another technician to come out?? I have never experienced a worse customer service situation in my life. I will never buy anything LG again and will definitely be spreading my story anywhere I can. Still no fridge, lost all of our food and no resolution or ounce of compassion from this company. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Done with LG. The waveforce washer had to have the main circuit board replaced 3 times in the first 2 months of ownership. Nothing like spending this kind of money and still having to go to the coin op laundry... Within a year of ownership, the rust around the bleach dispenser was terrible and just continues to get worse.

Question was, Is my stoves cook top supposed to be level from front to rear? LG Electric Range Model LRE308BD.

Worst and Cheating Service from LG. Issue Started from Deepavali. I had complained regarding TV service before 40 to 50 days but still, the status is the same.My TV Model No. LG-LED/42LA6620 got a problem as the TV was not turning ON, regarding this I had complained and an executive told that they will come and diagnose the issue. After couple of days, he came and saw that there is a problem in it and told he will return in a couple of days and went. But later he did not return at all. He did not even receive our calls and we were in search of help, but nothing happened. Later I called to customer care and you people told that it will be done on chargeable basis. Even visiting charges should be beared by the customer. I agreed for that and requested for the executive at my place. And you people struggled a lot to arrange a person to my place but you people failed to do that. But we are the person who is suffering and ultimately our situation is like Wait or Go and as we got an expensive TV from you and fortunately or unfortunately I have got all LG brands in my house (TV, FRIDGE, WASHING MACHINE etc.,) and I am a promoter for LG product. But now am just afraid that how about future of the products I got. How the support and services for these products, am panicked. And after struggling a lot we didnt get any help from LG but we at the receiver end have to get our TV repaired and took that TV personally and went to the other city that is Hospet from Gangavathi for getting it serviced. After submitting that TV they told that it has to be diagnose and it will take a couple of days and we left our TV there and returned. After couple of days, they told that there is a motherboard issue and it will charge you around 7k to 9k.I told them to go ahead and service it. I want the TV to be Fixed. But trust me I have doubt on those technicians over there, I am having an impression that I am in safe hands or someone trying to loot us. But still, I told them to go ahead and service it. Later after a couple of days, I get a call saying that it will take a month to replace it. I told, Okay. Fix it as soon as possible. And later I get one more story that, We need bill sir as this motherboard is not available as of now, if you provide bill then we will look for depreciation and you can go for another model. Now am really frustrated and just cant control myself for simple issue, I am okay with taking TV personally to the service center, I am okay with replacing a motherboard, I am okay with money, I am okay with time. Now its a new phase. They are asking me to go for depreciation. But I managed my self to get the bill and submitted to them but until today am in the same situation and TV is in the same condition. Today 23/12/2017 morning when I called to the customer care, I get these type of responses ie., Sir you need to visit the dealer where you have submitted your TV, and, We cant help you in this, what the hell is this response from LG customer care, I made him realise that he is working for LG then he told that he will arrange call back. Later I called once again and narrated all the story to that lady, she told she will arrange a call back. Thank God that I got a call from LG but now they started with new story which clearly shows that they are cheating openly to the people. When I called in the morning and asked regarding the status of my TV, LG customer care people they told part is not available so it will take some more time. But after an hour I get a call saying that sir your LCD has problem as we are testing on your TV but there is problem in display. Now here we can see clearly, that from main office they are saying part is pending, and from Hospet dealer they are telling that, Sir motherboard we received and testing on it but there is a problem in LCD and it will be fixed with a charge of Rs: 24,000/- extra. If they tell us that its going to cost you more in which we can go for other options by dropping the idea of getting this tv repaired. This is so cheap activity done by you people to grab money or to drop the issue. If you people really need money/dont want to support then try to get it by earning with trust but not by cheating the innocent people, its our hard-earned money we spend on buy expensive gadgets by trusting giant companies. Now I am requesting you again to the experienced/some qualified engineer to look into the issue and solve it. Really LG is stepping back from giving services. Its really gonna affect the brand. I was promoter for the company but you people are making me to go for worst condition... If this is condition for few more customers then soon it is gonna be in helpless situation. I dont know what kind of engineers LG is hiring not capable to repair a simple issue then what for they hire a so-called qualified developers.

LG refuses to repair or replace (THATS WHAT WARRANTY PROMISES) - only offers ORIGNAL WHOLESALE price paid by our designer, no shipping, NOT WHAT IT WILL COST US TO REPLACE even though we explained multiple times that the price was not what came out of our pocket (because of designer add-on) and not what the model costs now with inflation. We custom cut and trimmed for that microwave. We will be out $100 plus to replace it.

The LG-WM3997HWA washers drain system is bad and the dryer doesnt dry! I spoke to a couple of LGs support people and the first one sent out a repair person because the machine doesnt dry. The repair person found nothing wrong. I called again because the machine still didnt dry and LG was again going to send out a repair person... I then called the repair person and he said these machines never dry and that if he came again, he would just check the specs and the specs were correct. So I called LGs support people again and this time the lady told me that the machine only dries to 90%. In point of fact, it doesnt really dry. I tried it using half the wash load and I think that after hours of drying, it was wetter than when it first came out of the wash. I now have to buy a dryer. I have been trying to dispute this with Goedekers the company that I purchased this machine from, but their policy is once its delivered, its yours. It makes no sense to me at all that they sell a washer/dryer that doesnt dry. I have used these kinds of machines in Japan and they work perfectly. It does take hours, but the wash comes out dry at the end and you dont have to remove half the wash to get it that way. Also your design for the machines drainage is horrible. To have the water drain out so close to the floor makes no sense. I used a flat tray to catch the water, but it is virtually impossible to control the flow and most of the time, it makes a mess. This is probably the worst appliance that I have ever bought. At this point, I now have to buy a dryer to put on top of the machine because the reason I bought it in the first place is because my laundry room is tiny. The point is that they should not be selling this machine and the public should be warned not to buy it.

I purchased 4 French door model (LMXS30776S) from Best Buy in 4/2018. First compressor went out 6/2019. Second compressor went out 3/2021. Been without refrigerator since then. Bought extended coverage through AIG. Been waiting on parts, finally came in and was installed on 5/13/2021. Fridge section still not working, freezer worked for about 6 days then started not freezing. Repair shop has ordered more parts to replace parts already replaced. Talked with AIG, Best Buy and LG, no help. Im ready to go buy new refrigerator and I will never buy another LG product or buy from Best Buy again. Dont know how these companies stay in business with poor customer service. I understand ordering parts but over 2 months without fridge is ridiculous.

Our LG Washer product WT1501CW, that was loaded with only a bed sheet flipped over into our dryer, spilled water onto our floor and put a hole in our wall. We have contacted LG several times and despite having a warranty, the RA department has said they will only cover a buy back at a reduced cost. After two technicians have come out, LG has stated they lost our paperwork and would need to set up a new claim and have another technician come out. I purchased a Front Load LG WM4270HWA along with matching dryer from Standard Appliance in Portland, Oregon, after reading good ratings online from Consumer Reports for these front loading machines. I had my Asko Asea dryer go out for the third time which I purchased in 2003. I was under pressure because of a pending breast cancer surgery within a week and was told by their repair group that they likely could not get parts on the older Asko. I ordered the new LG set needing sterile clean sheets and nightie after sterile prep before surgery. The repair company called and said five days later they could get the parts to repair the dryer, but it was too late, I had ordered the LG set to be delivered the next day.My first run was one queen set of sheets, nightie and one towel. I immediately got the infamous UE signal and called the LG service number and was told to wash only one type of item at one time. I kept rearranging the load to no avail. I was then told to wash only one sheet at a time. I ran the spin and dry cycle several times to no avail. I then put the very wet sheets in the dryer with over an hour of drying. During the night I was sickened by the smell of sheets and nightie and had to change everything before my surgery. After surgery recovery three weeks later, I attempted to run three different loads of laundry. All kept giving the UE signal. I have severe osteoarthritis (knees and shoulders) and had to travel up and down the stairs to keep reloading the machine because of balance errors. None of the loads came out clean the way my working Asko had cleaned. I then read the ConsumerAffairs report on the machine to find out these machines were not worth keeping especially since I have an extreme mold sensitivity (I am the worst HLA type for mold causing many chronic illnesses).Standard agreed to take the machines back and although they could not retrieve and repair my old set as they had already parted out, for an additional 900 dollars (10% restocking fee plus added cost of Askos) they would send me a new set of Asko washer and dryers. Not the best solution for someone on a fixed income but much better than keeping a mold hazard. Asko was one of the few front loaders not included in the mold class action suits. It should be required to tell customers of pending class action suits before the purchase of expensive appliances. Mold is a life threatening issue for many people. Twenty five percent of the population do not clear toxins from their bodies. I am disappointed that Standard did not tell me of the mold issue but they did take back the machines which I appreciate.

I have several LG appliances and TVs. Never a problem until my French door refrigerator stopped working. 3 certified LG repairmen came out replacing the compressor and it still does not work. Day 26, fridge held hostage. Now I’m being told I have to wait another 8 days before someone comes out again. That’s 34 days with no refrigerator. My extended warranty is 5 years, and states reimbursement after 3 failed repairs. They now want to run external lines on the back wall and drilling through the sealed wall. Totally unacceptable. Waiting 8 days between technician visits is a wait them out plan that seems to be working. Will never buy another LG! Will spread the word to everyone.

I have a top loading LG TruBalance (ha!) Direct Drive. This is my second machine after replacing the first one with the same problem of unbalanced loads. It takes all day to complete a load because it gets out of balance during the spin cycle... comes up with a UE error code. It tries to refill to balance the load then repeats the same problem. Bought washing machine a little over 5 years. Front loader, very good looking LG model. One day the washing machine wasnt turning and started leaking water. Out of warranty, I decided to take it apart. I found that a piece of the back spider had broken off. The spider made a hole at the bottom of the plastic drum. Then, as you can see from the pictures noticed that the spider itself was crumbling into pieces. I bought the spider from SEARS parts and to my surprise the part was made by LG and it was bad, defective. When I inspected the spider had tiny cracks all over the place and in the crucial sections. My complaint is how can LG manufacture a spider that lasted less than 6 years and then does not try to fix its mistakes by improving the defective parts but just makes more of the same low quality.

I purchased an LG Easy Clean microwave in 2014. The unit wasn’t exactly cheap but I figured I’d invest in a better quality unit. Recently (2018) I noticed the smell of burning and sparking coming from the unit. I opened the door and noticed that the inside lower left corner was physically melted??? I have never experienced anything like this with any other microwave in my life. Obviously I felt this was a safety issue and an obviously defective microwave.I called LG and jumped through all their hoops, providing them photos etc. They were supposed to call me back (they didn’t). When I called back I was told that they only offer a 1 yr warranty and the fact that I got 4 yrs out of it was good. Umm, a melted door is good??? Long story short, LG told me I can try to find someone to repair it but it will be costly and recommended I buy a new one. Yup, after only 4 yrs. I asked if a “MELTED DOOR” was particularly concerning to LG? He said no, it’s 4 years old. Umm, well I guess it had a good run in LG’s eyes. I’ll never buy from LG or any affiliate again. WOW!??

Top loading washing machine LG wt1101c purchased at home depot - My concern
Top loading washing machine LG wt1101c purchased at home depot - My concern is the excessive amount of water that it uses. I set the controls for bulky bedding for a test run. After many starts and stops in its cycle it finished its cycle. Then to my surprise it used 18 gallons of water in the wash cycle and an additional 18 gallons in the spin and rinse cycle. I have a 40 gallon hot water tank and it used it all… (I have a double wash tub that the used water is pumped into, dim 19-19-12= 4332 cu inches) 4332/231 = approx. 18 gallons per each side 18+18=36 gallons on a washing/rinsing cycle. There must be some cycles that use less water. The machine I understand, weighs the load and adds the correct amount of water. I have asked LG for a chart or list showing how much water per pound is used or for each setting. I received NO REPLY. There is nothing in the operational manual giving this information. Also there is a digital readout on the control panel that means nothing. For instance If it says 54 and it starts its countdown the washer will do a series of rotational jiggles and the countdown stops and does not keep track of the time correctly (it may say 54 but it takes 70 before it stops). The washer looks good, washes clean but the instruction manual needs to be rewritten to address these items and take into consideration this needed information. Thank everyone for permitting me to list my complaints and suggestions. If and when these suggestions are addressed I would like a revised instruction manual to be sent to me.

When our old refrigerator quit a little over 2 years ago, my wife and I shopped around and decided to purchased a new LG refrigerator. When the door panel control indicated we needed to replace the air and water filters, we ordered replacements but before the replacement arrived the cooling shut off completely and we lost everything in the refrigerator. We later learned that if the filters are not replaced immediately the cooling shuts off. A little over a week ago and without filter replacement warnings, the refrigerator and freezer stopped working altogether. Again, we lost everything in the refrigerator and freezer. LG customer service was not helpful. We were told a repairman would contact us within 24 hours. 48 hours later my wife tracked down the repairman. I note it was not the repairmans fault. The repairman said the electrical operating panel, compressor and something other part were all bad and had to be replaced. Basically rebuilding the refrigerator. Repairman would order the parts. 6 days later we are still waiting. Using a dorm refrigerator from my office to keep milk cold for our two kids. LGs customer service has been totally inadequate and very disappointing.

Our 4.5 yr old refrigerator sounded like a Dash 8 aircraft for a few days before 2 fans in it stopped working entirely. He said that we will have to get a new appliance. We were in shock because the call center agent said that the fee would cover all costs of parts and labor. Who would ever dream that LG would no longer carry parts for an appliance that would not even be considered old by any reasonable person!!! I wished that I could have read this blog before I purchased my LG refriger
I wished that I could have read this blog before I purchased my LG refrigerator. I purchased my refrigerator 4 years ago and have had the fuse blown twice, ruining all the contents of my refrigerator. The servicemans fix was using a paperclip to bypass the fuse and order me a new board, which would cost $400 (if I didnt have warranty). He explained that on this refrigerator, the fuse was located on the main circuit board and when the little fuse blows, you have to replace the whole board, which costs around $400.00, and it takes awhile to obtain. Two years almost to that day, my refrigerator went out again due to the same issue. I had extended warranty through Home Depot. It took a week to get a serviceman to my home, to hear that the main fix is to by-pass the fuse with a paperclip or some wire. I was told that LG is aware of the poor design and hasnt made any changes to keep this problem from occurring again. I lost another refrigerator full of food and some expensive medications to hear the paper clip is the answer again! I told the service repair that I wanted a new board ordered and placed on the back of this expensive refrigerator to hear him say that it is a temporary fix. LG has an issue with their product, people have contacted them, and they seem not to care. I contacted via Live Chat to hear, I am sorry for your inconvenience and had enough of that pre-typed message and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor said that there was nothing they could do but would pass my complaint on to a claims review dept. and that they may or may not contact me to help resolve the issue. I asked for a phone number to contact LG and was told by John (the supervisor) that he did not have a number for me to talk with someone about my issue. This was all that I needed to hear from someone online. It seems that LG hides behind their Live Chat personnel and are not interested in addressing their issues. Home Depot should be embarrassed to carry their products. We teach our children to make their wrongs right. I guess LG missed out on that lesson!

Bought a set of LG products and Never AGAIN!!! I bought them both and about six months later, the washer literally burst open... from the inside out. The top portion with the lid and button flew off the machine and came back down crooked. It was a top loader. The top of the drum was facing the back of the machine. They came and replaced which took a month. One year later the new machine just stopped working while the tub was full of water. We put that one aside, thank god we planned ahead, and bought a second-hand washer and dryer. We have been using the old one since. Not worth fixing the stupid thing, now the dryer has been acting up for a year... It runs for two seconds and stops but while it stops spinning its counting down. I called LG and they stated that it was due to the coldness of my basement... It is pointless to fix these POSs. Big costs, cheap parts and worthless customer service, we will never give this company one red cent!!!

Purchased a washer/dryer company WM3987HW at the end of last July. In December the unit flooded due to quality issue - technicians words on the report. Went a whole month without a repair because according to the report that they received it was an installation issue. They will not send me a copy of their report so I can compare to the one I have. Nowhere on my report do I have installation as the cause. Hours on the phone from customer service, supervisors and claims department and 5 months later still have no end to my nightmare. Im in the process now of having to prove to them that it was a quality issue. I have already done all this once in my application for repairs. This will be the third time that all the information has been sent.Second issue I have is since January my pump has been replaced 2 times with a service call in for the same issue. My unit is not working again. That will be 3 pumps replaced in 5 months. They will not replace the product and will not guarantee me in writing that they will replace the pump if it goes again after warranty. The only reason Im even checking off one of the rating stars is for those customer servant agents that apologized wishing they could do more for me but their hands were tied. Has to be very hard to work for a company that isnt based on ethics.

Updated on 08/02/2019: LG is blatantly cheating its customers in the name of Customer Service. They drilled my refrigerator without my knowledge and finally declared that the unit is not repairable after 30 days and 5 tries. The technician drilled my refrigerator without informing me. Now they are not ready to replace my unit as I do not have the purchase receipt, is this JUSTICE? What is the use of Serial Number on the unit. Am sure LG can extract all the details based on Serial number but they want to cheat the customers and humiliate them. Please stay away from LG, my young family suffered a lot due to LG.Original Review: We bought LG Refrigerator and it stopped cooling after 4 years. We called LG and they sent a service technician after 2 days, he did the repair and the refrigerator stopped cooling again after 3 days. Now the horror story starts. I called LG and they said that a service agent will call me back to schedule an appointment and it never happened. I called continuously for 4 days and each time its a 45 minutes wait but they just treat customers like garbage. I will never ever buy or endorse LG product in my life. LG French door refrigerator - I was reading Tony from San Antonios problem with his fridge and it sounds exactly the same for me. 22 months ago, I bought an LG refrigerator from Best Buy for $2400 and last week, it stopped cooling down enough to safely use. It cant get below 40-50 degrees. I didnt get the extended warranty so now I have spent another $400 on service calls and nobody can figure out whats wrong. They tried adding some Freon thinking there was a leak but now I am getting an error message on the front. I bought the largest refrigerator with an ice crusher to provide ice and food for my disabled husband. He is disabled with Parkinsons from exposure to Agent Orange during his service in Vietnam. I am his sole caregiver. He is on many medications and a special diet so I needed a reliable refrigerator. At first this unit was great but the condenser died and we lost all our food and his medications. We had bought the LG long term warranty. Their warranty department is not connected to their service department but their service department does not have the warranty information. After many calls for 2 weeks to both warranty and service departments they finally sent a service provider who took another 2 weeks to fix the unit. The service provider did not receive good information from LG and kept asking for information that I did not have. Finally, the refrigerator was fixed. Two months later the refrigerator is not cooling again. Again I am having to call both warranty and service departments. It has been a week since the unit broke and the warranty and service departments have not even called a service provider to fix the refrigerator. I learned last time I have to call everyday to get results. Their call center is in the Philippines so their English is very difficult to understand so I have to ask them to repeat almost everything which is frustrating to me and to the call center operators so we do not get along. Both these situation have been very costly in loss of food and medications and frustrating in their inefficiency in dealing with broken refrigerators. Isnt that what they are there for? Why isnt their system designed to immediately deal with warranty needs????

LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased
LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased dishwasher 7/1/21, delivered 8/10/21. Started leaking at top of door end of October. LG authorized service center made 3 visits between beginning of November and beginning of December. The unit was pulled out and re installed with each visit. Door gasket changed, door lock latch replaced. Unit then developed leak from bottom of door and AE leak code that makes unit beep until power is hit off at the electrical panel. LG then sent out their regional “expert.” He determined a crack in the door panel liner. He also scratched up the control panel during his repairs. He stated that when he finally got a new door liner, that 3 others had been sent to him with damage. They also sent the wrong control panel replacement. The tech, named Jude, called LG with me standing next to him and told them unit continues to leak and is unrepairable. He did a live video with the LG techs showing them the leak and another crack he found in the door. After many emails, texts, phone calls, LG is refusing to refund/replace saying damage was due to incorrect installation of unit. This determination was made after 6 service visits in which the dishwasher was taken in and out each time by an LG authorized service person. It was never noted or mentioned to me the consumer that there was an install issue at any of these service appointments. Nor did their expert say that to LG when he spoke to them In front of me. If it was truly damage caused by installation why did LG pay for 6 service calls? Wouldn’t that have been noted after the first visit ? I now have a new piece of junk that worked for 6 weeks and had been non functional since 10/30, when I made the call for service. LG has offered me 20% off a new dishwasher. Why would I buy another LG product after this experience? The least they could do is provide me a replacement unit if they won’t give a refund.

A friend gave me a used LG Tromm washer. It never worked correctly - kept getting a DE error or a de error. Replaced door sensor, cleaned out drain, had two different professionals repairman come and one handyman twice - still not repaired. LG says they cant do anything because their model number sticker wore off. Unbelievable.

I have model LSSE3026ST (LG Studio electric range). As others have reported, the stovetop turns on with the slightest bump of a knob. We have had dinner guests help in the kitchen and accidentally turn on the stove. My husband and I have accidentally turned the stove on numerous times as we reach into a cabinet or the microwave. I have to check the stove each time I leave the house because I am terrified that somebody in our house may have accidentally bumped a knob and turned the stove on. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! LG refuses to acknowledge or correct the problem, despite numerous consumers having the same exact complaint. They have denied my request for a fix. I check recalls every week just expecting to find this range on the list, but not yet. I hope it doesn’t take a serious incident for this to be addressed.

We purchased an LG refrigerator; it has French doors and with a bottom freezer. Shortly after it was installed, the freezer started accumulating ice. We had it repaired several times because the electronic circuits were defective, and the problem recurred. LG refuses to take responsibility for the problem even though they have re-designed the circuit board at least ten times. My repairman told me that they have this problem since the refrigerator came to the market. I have paid hundreds of dollars in service calls, and the last time I spoke to their customer service department I was met with complete indifference. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. Another issue is with this unit is poorly designed; it has a very flimsy hardware for the crisper drawers that keep coming off the rails. That issue was also not acknowledged.

I recently bought an LG washer and dryer. The washer does not fill with enough water, leaving my clothes in a tangled wad. Takes an hour to wash a simple load. The dryer refuses to dry the clothes. Seems the sensor knows when your clothes should be dry and shuts off. Trying drying a bathroom rug. Takes three or more tries. I long for my old washer which I gave away in working order. LGs are junk... save your money!!!

I bought my kitchen appliances less than 3 years ago, all LG brand, brand new from Home Depot. My dishwasher has given us some issues over the last year and come to find out the electronics are not covered under the 10 year warranty that is plastered on front of the appliance. No big deal, my husband was able to fix it. However, our refrigerator is a different story. It stopped cooling. We called LG. We waited a week for a repairman who was not qualified to fix refrigerators. He stated, I dont fix refrigerators. I work on washers and dryers. But with the help of the tech support he was able to determine it was the compressor. I was instructed to call LG with a case number and they would send out a qualified person to fix the problem. This was on a Friday. I called back late Monday afternoon to check on the progress and told they still havent found anyone to fix the issue. I was denied the privilege to speak with upper management and sent into the queue so long that it kicked me out. I called back 2 more times with the same result. I called back a 4th time and spoke with a different rep. He continues to tell me more of the same stuff. Not one rep was able to give me a time frame that I would have to wait for a service repair man because the truth is they dont have one in my area. He was unable to give me a number to upper management or connect me with someone higher up. He said when they send customers into the queue to be sent to the next level they keep being kicked back to them. So in other words LG does not back their products nor care about their customersThey believe it is acceptable for a product to last less than 3 years and a customer to be without a refrigerator for 2 weeks with no recourse. May I add this is during the quarantine, so I had more food in the fridge than normal and yes I lost a lot of food. But no worries for LG. They are not worried about the customer. Do NOT buy LG products. I have NEVER been so upset or dissatisfied with a product before. I am 44 years old and this is the first BAD product review I have written on any product.

Top of the line did not last 3 years. It stopped getting cold. We know that happens but the customer service is the worst I have ever seen. I have been on the phone for 2 days now at least 5 hours and they first scheduled a repair with MODERN APPLIANCE SERVICE who said they would be here between 8 and 12 pm on Wed and at 11 pm on Wed they called us to inform us it would be 7 days before they could have someone here. We called LG back again and again and now they will call us back when their scheduling dept finds someone to look at it. Our son has diabetes and has to keep his insulin cold and thats not happening and LG could care less. We are buying ice to keep it cold. No one has called us back and we have talked to with 3 managers so far and no one has called us back and we have no service date yet. Wonder how long this will go on? I am getting ready to call them again and spend today on the phone begging for help after spending $4000 on a Refrigerator. Update. We took their phone survey after their 10th call and said we were not happy with the results of the call and they had the ** to call us right back tell me they did not appreciate the review or deserved the low score on the review I gave them. Now we still have a $4000 refrigerator that is not working, cant get anyone to fix it for any amount of money and they have time to call me and tell me they did not like my review. I am speechless. It seems they are not going to help us and I am not sure they will call back now. I think I am going to have to place these reviews every hour until I get some attention. So be it.

I go on and with all the problems I have had with this fridge from one month after I got it and all the food that I have lost and LG wont do nothing about it. Especially now that it is off of warranty. It first started with the ice maker and then the fans that keep going out in the freezer and you would have to turn the numbers and it would end up freezing the food on top and then it get so warm you end up throwing all of your food out. Just like the other day, I had to throw over half of my food and food is not cheap. I have had repairman and repairman after repairman out and it maybe fixed for a couple of weeks or a month and it would be back at it again. I have tried to get LG to replace it or give my money back and they couldnt care less. I have asked them about the lemon policy they mention in the paper and they couldnt care less. Just like would tell me there is no such thing and I would tell them I have it here in black and white and now that my extended warranty is out, Home Depot wont have anything to do with you. They just want to go away. I cant afford to buy another one but do they care? Heck, no. They think youll just go out and replace it. I paid close to $2,000 for it and they dont. Now the top half is keeping things so warm I cant trust putting food in it because in a couple of days, it would be sour and would just have to throw it out. Now dont expect them or anyone to help you. Now, my ice maker is at it again and my electric bill is really showing it because I have to turn it up. All I am asking them to do is replace it and not with the same model and you think they would even bother consider that, no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the consequences is that you dont get a replacement or get any money back and lime. I said I could go on for days of all the problems but what good would it do? So guess who does without a fridge, not them, me. Someone needs to do something with them not even wanting to replace it and when you are willing to even downgrade yourself. I have all the same complaints if not more as everyone else but you only can place so much on this. And no one cares anyways and NO HELP ANYWAY, but I thought I at least could write this and try and WARN OTHER PEOPLE, DONT EXPECT ANY HELP.

Keeps even temperature, easy to clean, very spacious. I liked the finish on it. Looked well with other appliances that I already owned in my kitchen. It had a nice price point to it, and I had an LG phone that I liked once that made me find the brand to be trustworthy. It absolutely has met my expectations, also I would recommend it, am surprised to have seen an LG fridge as I wouldnt of associated the brand with major kitchen appliances offhand. But more configuration options with the inner shelving. Perhaps offering even more choices in finishes than standard like fashion colors or a retro shape to it like a fifties kitchenette design.

The LG Warranty Dept is pathetic to put it bluntly. We purchased the extended warranty from Lowes Canada on a 3 Appliance Extended Warranty Package. But trying to get warranty service on an LG LFX25778ST French Door Fridge has been ridiculous. Of course, the call center is in the Philippines and they read off of a script. They said there are 2 service providers in my area. I spoke to the first company and they would decline compressor calls from LG? The second company said they are not accepting calls from LG because of past issues??? The CSR in the Philippines had no solution as it was not on his script. What a joke!!! So now Im left scrambling trying to get a repair of the fridge.LG you should be ashamed of yourselves and I warn everyone out there to look at other manufacturers. As well, Im not done with LG and Lowes as of yet. One of these two companies will be reimbursing me for this sham/scam and paying me back for all monies owed. Be it product, the so-called extended warranty charge and all legal fees. I hope everyone reading this heeds the warning. Thanks.

I only wish I read these reviews before purchasing my LG products in November 2010. I have had several problems with the seal on my washer leaking water. After several attempts of replacing the seal, I finally had the door replaced. Just yesterday, I found a crack in the drum of the dryer. I will never purchase another LG product.

I bought an LG gas range model LRG30355ST at Home Depot sometime in 2009, and all the five knobs are all cracked and can no longer be adjusted to low or high. The cost of these knobs are exorbitant and almost costs around 1/3 of the total cost of the gas range. These companies should not be allowed to manufacture substandard parts for their products at the expense of the consumers. Whether they do this on purpose to generate additional revenues, we dont know. But something should be done and shift the responsibility back to companies like LG and make them pay or correct them at no cost to the consumers. Like others, I will no longer buy LG products and will spread the word that LG products are not quality products.

We bought the LG Dishwasher a few years ago, partly because it was considered one of the most quiet (the kitchen is open to the family room and the builder supplied dishwasher was so loud, it was impossible to do anything social during a wash cycle). But we also were sold on the purported quality and features. We got it and installed it. It was quiet as claimed. But it didn’t clean anything. Often, the soap dispenser wouldn’t open. It filled the inside with hardened calcified soap. We called LG, to no avail. They told us it must be our water pressure (we are on city water and the pressure is just fine). They also said that even though we had a warranty, that issue wasn’t covered and if they sent someone out and it was confirmed that the issue wasn’t warranted, we’d be charged $150 as a minimum visit. We already paid a lot for the appliance and didn’t want to get stuck with another bill. So we managed, mostly precleaning the dishes, washing them again when the soap didn’t dispense, and dealing with the calcified buildup in the inside. The drain hose leaked under the cabinet, and we were able to use drain hose tape to get by. Well finally, the water poured into our finished basement during a drain cycle late last night, right before we were all going to bed. We pulled the machine and found several leaks in the drain line. Thinking we could get a universal hose, we went to Home Depot where we originally bought it and discovered that we need to get the first part of the drain hose from LG and that could take weeks. That was it. We bought a Frigidaire Galaxy series for half the price and it arrives next week. We hope this will do what it’s supposed to do-wash dishes.

My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator. I’ve had LG products in previous homes as well and although I’ve had to fix them from time to time they have been generally good products. So when it came time to purchase a dishwasher and a range oven I wanted to have a matching set so I went with the LG dishwasher and range oven.My refrigerator is 6 years old now and was not cooling down properly. I called your customer service line to see what could be done and they gave me the name and number of a local technician. I called and set up an appointment with Duncan Home Services. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor. Although it was an inconvenience, I was pleased to remember there was a 10 year warranty on the linear compressors that were in my model of refrigerator (LFX28968ST/01). I called customer service on April 22nd of 2019 to see about getting the compressor replaced. 44 days later and 7 hours, 21 minutes and 42 seconds on the phone with customer support… I still do not have the correct replacement for my faulty compressor.I was given a case number of **. I will detail my dissatisfaction with your call support team later but here is a summation of the issue. In response to my request for a warranty replacement of the compressor, the Tech was sent a compressor with the model number of TCA35533604. This part was identified as a “backup replacement”. The Tech had installed one of these in another refrigerator they worked on just like mine and they knew it didn’t work. Therefore they would not install it and charge me the labor. They determined the correct part was TCA35893202. When they called to order that part they were told it is on backorder until early July.I don’t know if you’ve ever gone without a refrigerator for 2 months but when one is used to it being there, it is ridiculously inconvenient. The summation of what I determined from your customer support team was that I had 3 options that are policies that they say are set by you. 1: Wait another month for the part to come in. 2: I was offered 20% off a new LG refrigerator. 3: If I could produce the receipt then I could be given a new refrigerator. My problems with the above proposals are as follows: 1: I’ve already waited a month and cannot wait another month for a part that may or may not come in. I will be forced to purchase a new refrigerator from one of your competitors. 2: An equivalent replacement refrigerator will be another $2000 minimum. 20% of that is $400. I don’t have $1600 available to buy from a company that is doing a horrible job honoring their Warranty. As I said, I’d prefer to buy from someone else. 3: I know that the refrigerator was purchased at Lowes, I know that it was on or near Black Friday of 2013 but I do not have the original receipt from 6 years ago.I proposed 2 solutions to the problem, but the customer service supervisor said that she didn’t have authority to do either of the 2 options and only you did. I proposed the following: 1: Since the Tech determined that the compressor that LG sent was incorrect they would not Warranty their work. Since I have to pay labor for the installation as that is past the warranty period of 5 years, that is a problem. LG could warranty the work of their tech so I am not on the hook for when the part doesn’t work.2: The correct part (TCA35893202) is available through local appliance parts outlets and retails for around $279. LG could provide a voucher to the tech to purchase the part locally. This would be the quickest and most cost effective solution for all parties in my opinion. So if you could authorize my Option 2 promptly that would be fantastic. I am merely asking for a timely and correct replacement for a warrantied part. Now I spoke with at least 6 different supervisors. They are the 2nd tier of customer support. I have no issue with the first tier of support. They were all professional and as helpful as they could be and got me to the 2nd tier fairly quickly on seven of my ten calls. The 2nd tier of individuals however were the opposite. All I was given were first names so that is all I can provide. They were; Daniel, Brea, Jessie, Jem, Jessica, and Tyesha.Daniel: Daniel informed me that he would send an email to the parts guy Cyrus about the availability of TCA35893202 and he would call me back. That was early May and I never heard from him. Brea: She was generally pleasant but couldn’t help me any. She told me the tech would have to call the parts department to see if the correct compressor was available. (The tech did call and was told that the correct compressor was on backorder.) Jessie: Jessie appeared to be helpful and told me that he/she was going to send an email to Cyrus as well to see if the part was truly back-ordered. If it was, he/she could issue a replacement refrigerator (Which surprised me and I did not ask for.) He/she said I would get a phone call later… I did not, again. Jem: I’m not sure if I have the name right but she basically hung up on me and sent me back to the 1st tier people. They put me back through to the supervisors and I got Jessica. Jessica: I wasn’t particularly pleasant with Jessica as I was beyond frustration at this point. She responded by being extremely unhelpful and refused to walk through the notes of the previous 7 or 8 calls I had made. I told her what Jessie had said earlier about the replacement but she told me there was no Jessie in her office. She ended up telling me that TCA35893202 was NOT back-ordered and it was available but the tech had to order it. (The tech did call again to order it and was told that the part was still back-ordered.) I feel that I was blatantly lied to.Jessie: Imagine my surprise when I in fact got Jessie again despite Jessica telling me there was no Jessie. This time Jessie offered me the 20% off a replacement refrigerator. I told her that was not satisfactory, nor was the waiting until July for the part and that I could not produce a 6 year old receipt. She put me on hold… for a really long time until… Tyesha picked up the line and I got to re-explain everything to her. Tyesha: She just continually reiterated my 3 unsatisfactory options and told me there was nothing she could do and my only recourse was to write you a letter. So here I am. Should this situation not be remedied by my Option 2 listed above or a better idea you come up with yourself I will never be purchasing any LG product again. I will also never recommend an LG product to any family or friends. Although they are not particularly effective against your bottom line, these are my only options for recourse and I will pursue them endlessly. Thank you. Mark **

LG (Life is NOT good) Front Load Washer - WMM3670HWA. The first 2 sets they tried to deliver were damaged. I waited about 10 weeks to finally take delivery of the washer and dryer in October 2017 and put them into service in November 2017. Ill never buy LG again. 100% piece of crap and all LG wants to do is send someone out to repair it but they never really repair anything. The clothes never really get clean... When I use the speed cycle, it consistently gets stuck at 7 minutes and never spins out and it will sometimes time-out but more than likely I have to hit the power button to shut it off. The regular cycle will get stuck at 4 or 6 minutes and then after 30 minutes it will jump to 11 minutes and then 2 to 4 and then 11 minutes and do it again and again. I have had 3 service appointments. The 1st tech assessed it and talked to the factory and agreed to replace the motherboard, so he came back out to replace the motherboard. The next day it started doing it again. The 2nd/3rd service was a Factory LG tech who had a motherboard and control panel shipped to the house prior to his appointment without talking to us or coming out. The machine is still doing it. I was told by support it was because I use too much soap, I use their lines of how full to fill the soap!?!? I was told by their out of the US support team I would have to pay for the next service call. I was promised 3 call backs and never got them and then had the supervisor of the Alabama Tech Team hang up on me when I asked him if he would pay for my time off of work, water bill, electricity bill and extra time trying to get someone to fix this piece of JUNK!! I was told I have to have another tech come out and look at it again. I have to run a load of laundry and cross my fingers I hear the chime that says it is done. I have to run a load 4 to 5 times before it will finish a wash cycle 1 time. He told me nothing proves is it is a piece of junk and they are following the warranty. I told him I could take a video to prove it and they laughed at me. There is ABSOLUTELY NO HOPE of this ever working normal. Biggest waste of money... So regret this purchase!

During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kit
During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kitchen after having extension plumbing work done to our home. As part of that, we wanted new appliance and bought the LG refrigerator because it was the size we need to fill the space. A couple of years after we purchased it, it stopped cooling. I called LG and a customer service person told me to unplug it for at least six hours and plug it back in. I did and that seemed to fix the problem. It also had some type of water leak with the ice maker that would allow a large sheet of ice to build up to the point in the bottom the door would no longer close. I was able to remove it without much difficulty, but this happened continuously until the water line to the unit froze and burst and I turned off the line completely. In August of 2015, our refrigerator quit cooling and we contacted the company to see if it was still under warranty and we were told the compressor and sealed system was covered for seven years. This is a parts only warranty. They gave me the name of four repair companies and I contacted the one closest to me. The first tech looked at it and said they would have to send someone else out. I paid him for the call $75 and he left. The next tech came a few days later and quoted me a price of $275 to replace the compressor and the evaporator, but told me LG refrigerators had a history of leaking in the tubing in the walls and if that was in fact the problem, it could not be fixed. He told me to contact LG and begin the process of getting the parts. This began a two month struggle of phone calls back and forth between myself, LG and the repairman. No matter who I called, they said I needed to talk to the other one. The repairman eventually stopped taking my calls and after weeks of trying to get help, an LG customer service representative told me he informed the company he would no longer work on their products, a lie on someones part because he fixed my boss refrigerator a few weeks after that. They told me to contact another person on the list, so I went to the next closest person to my town, who refused to touch it because someone else had already looked at it. It was October 27 before LG was able to get A&E to get a repairman out. They told me I would not have to pay for the call because of the inconvenience it had created. He replaced the dryer in the back and the next day, I was once again able to put food back into it.Around December 14, my wife noticed the refrigerator was again not cooling. I contacted LG and they contact A&E, who couldnt get anyone out until January 12. The repairman didnt show up on the 12th and when I called, they didnt have the appointment in the system. They rescheduled for the next week. When the repair technician arrived, he called his supervisor to say it looked like the wrong type of dryer (dye dryers help them diagnose where leaks may be) had been put on the unit. They suggested he hook a freon tank to the unit and heat it with a welding torch and listen for the leak. He didnt hear anything and suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator. He was told not to do anything to the unit because they wanted another technician to come out and look at the unit to try and find the leak. (The company never noted any of this in their system and the tech says he doesnt remember the call.) He apologized to me and told me he felt the leak was in the walls of the refrigerator and couldnt be fixed. A few days later, two techs arrived at the house and my frustration level had reached a boiling point. He asked me what had happened with the previous visit, I told him and he called his supervisor. That was when we found out no notes were taken on the previous call. He then suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator and I took my frustration out on him.He was the tech who came in October and defended the fact he put in the right evaporator. He said if there was no visible sign of a leak during the last visit, then the leak was in the walls of the unit and could not be fixed. He advised me to call LG and felt they needed to honor their warranty, which I did. The customer service representative said they couldnt do anything until the tech filed his report. She never gave me any impression the problem might not fall under their warranty. I left the tech a message and he talked to a supervisor who said they would come out and replace the compressor and evaporator, but it would be the last visit made to my home on this issue. He told me to call LG and get the compressor and evaporator shipped to my home. I did and they promptly connected me to A&E to set up the service call. (I never received the replacement parts.)When the tech arrived a few days later, he called a supervisor and they told him to hook up the sealed system and check gauge readings. There was talk about a blockage in the lines. After several minutes, the tech disconnected the gauges, the call ended and he told me if the line was blocked it was in the walls of the unit and was not repairable. At this point, I contacted LG and was connected to the executive services office in Huntsville, Alabama. I spoke with a woman there who was pleasant at first, but then informed me the lines in the wall are not part of the sealed system. I told her there was no way to repair them because they were literally sealed in the wall. She then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not reading the warranty information on the unit completely. I have owned LG Cell phones and other electronic products and was always pleased with how they worked. As a home appliance company, they are terrible. I paid more than two-weeks pay to buy this refrigerator. My last refrigerator I paid $350 for and it lasted nearly 15 years. If LG is the only company to make refrigerators in the future, I will search antique stores and look for an old fashioned ice chest and become friends with the ice man before I put another one of their products in my home.

After the first six to ten months of use, I struggled to figure out what I was doing wrong. Very often, the clothing would actually come out smelling worse than when they went in. Lint and dirt particles were left inside the tub, on my clothing and in the laundry basket. This issue increased in degree as the months went by. The LG design places an odd drain tube and plastic filter at the front bottom which requires cleaning periodically. But actually, it is a reservoir for dirty water and also, the filter rarely had much lint or pet hair on it.I am a senior citizen and I never imagined such a design would even exist. The dirt, lint and pet hair rarely reach the filter and just build up in the washer. I have had to remove the plug, replace it with a clamp and open the drain onto the floor after every load. The instructions want you to get on the floor and find a bowl low enough for gravity to fill it, but not spill it when theres more water than will fit in a typical bowl. The washer needs special cleaning very often and the whole process is utterly ridiculous. I have spoken with customer service and my issue was moved up to the manager, but the company has shown no interest in customer satisfaction at all. Having a Kenmore front loader previous to this is like changing from the best to the worst imaginable.

We purchased an LG refrigerator, microwave and range about 8 years ago, all stainless steel. I have had nothing but problems with each one. A few days after microwave was installed, little dents started to appear on top panel. When I called customer service about this problem, they told me that it must be my fault that the dents are appearing--really??? The range knobs have melted and stripped, so now I have to use a pliers to turn the stove on or off. They did send replacement knobs the first time it happened. Now when I call again because of this defect, they tell I have to purchase them at the tune of several hundred dollars!! And by the way, the supervisor I spoke to was nasty!! The plastic drawers have cracked in the refrigerator and the sliders to slide drawers back and forth are breaking. My husband has duct-taped the inside where it is breaking. We are so disgusted with LG and their customer service dept. We would never recommend their products or ever, ever purchase another thing from them.

After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports
After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports, I decided to purchase an LG Tromm washer. Approximately 6.5 years after the purchase, the washer broke, specifically the metal spindle completely cracked from the metal drum. I called an LG endorsed repairman who ordered a new metal drum. Three weeks later, the drum came in but was damaged. He returned it and ordered another one. Two weeks later, the wrong drum was received. Again, he called and verified the part and this time, it took four weeks to arrive. When he went to replace the drum, it wouldnt fit and when he called the company (tech support), they verified that the drum was not the original piece. They also told him (and this was in front of me) that the specific type is no longer manufactured and that my washer would need to be retrofitted to accommodate the new drum type. This would cost more than the washer! I called customer support at LG and was told that they do not accept complaints. I asked what was done when one was sent in and was told that they just collected the complaints. So now, I am left with a broken washer, a pedestal that only fits LG front loaders and no venue to voice my displeasure. I will never purchase from LG again!

Awesome brand of appliance. I will not buy another brand. There is plenty of room for everything, great door space, easily changeable shelving. The freezer space is also great for at least 2 weeks worth of frozen items for a family of 4.

We purchased this LG French Door Refrigerator model LFXS29626 November 5,2015 from Home Depot, noticed the ice cream and pizzas were not staying frozen, later unit not making ice. Called LG customer support line, which is totally a waste of time, since the first call out of the three millions thereafter, I still have a non working refrigerator. No service center wants to work on LG products, the most recorded reason is LG never wants to sent the part and if by some miracle they do it had taken months to receive. I have never experienced this kind of customer service on anything I have ever purchased nor have I ever wrote a review. I would hope no one has to experience the frustration that we have with this unit. I would never even think of purchasing an LG product ever.

My husband and I purchased a new LG refrigerator just 2 years ago. TWO week
My husband and I purchased a new LG refrigerator just 2 years ago. TWO weeks ago right before July 4th everything defrosted and melted in the freezer and the refrigerator went warm. I called LG warranty service and purchased a service plan. They scheduled to come July 6th. They cancelled that appointment because they overbooked pushed me back to July 11th. Five days later. This brings us to July 10th by 4 o clock I havent heard from them with the scheduled time so I called them. I found out they cancelled again! They didnt even have the decency to call. They would not give us a date when someone could get here. We were told we would receive a callback in 1 to 2 business days with a date. We refused to accept this or hang up because they can not be trusted. Over a long time probably a hour later we finally got a date. Saturday. Another 5 days.So we have been out a ref for 2 weeks. Tried to call someone ourselves to get this fixed. They came said it might be the fan but they are unable to get the part because LG wont give them the look up a number so we have 2 options wait another 5 days and hope they actually come or buy a new refrigerator. 2000 dollars down the drain for a new refrigerator. So beware when buying LG appliances. Its safe to say I will never ever buy an LG product again. LG corporation also did nothing. All they wanted to do is confirm our appointment. I can do that dont need them to do that for us. So stand clear of LG got sold a lemon and cant even get it fixed. Updates repair man came 2 weeks later got the new compressor and guess what still doesnt work. I am a month without a refrigerator with 2 kids in the summer. Never again will I go with LG for anything.

I purchased an LG washing machine 3 years ago. I have had customer service
I purchased an LG washing machine 3 years ago. I have had customer service on the phone on a regular basis, which FINALLY led to them sending out several service persons, who knew NOTHING about the problem. The washer does not have enough water in the tub to even cover the clothes to be washed; I was told to use the “water plus” button to add extra water to the tub...it does nothing. Every load of my clothing being washed comes out with whitish/grey marks all over them, especially pants, workout clothes. And any fleece item washed is ruined by “scum” marks. I have complained continually, only to be told to run the “tub clean” every other week (which, by the way, is an empty tub that just washes the tub, but doesn’t really...). An incredible waste of water - especially for a washer that is supposed to conserve water. Next we were told to run the empty tub on “oxi sanitize” and add a jug of vinegar to the tub. That worked for about 3 loads. I would NEVER recommend this machine to anyone. My sister-in-law owned an LG for 29 days & turned it back in. Bring back the old tubs!! We are NOT saving any water with this machine!!!

When you dial the control to hot or very hot on the washing machine the net result is warm water or cold water. The washer instead of delivering hot water, mixes cold water with the hot water and you get warm or cold water in any cycle. I have had the technician out twice and he said he cant do anything to make it change no matter how many parts he changes. I have it on audio recording. He said LG will not exchange the machine and I have to live with the problem. I paid $1,100 for the washer and similar amount for the dryer. I ran the LG dryer yesterday with one queen size comforter and after redrying it four times it was partially damp.

2015 LG french door refrigerator Model: LMXS307465 - Purchased December 2015, so just over 2 years old. Suddenly not cooling adequately and had ice building up. After defrosting and cleaning, would not cool to safe food storage temperatures. Several phone calls to LG for phone diagnostics were no help. Finally said it needed a service call and gave me numbers for 3 different service companies. Either they didnt come to my town or didnt work on LG. Finally found somebody to come on my own. Now awaiting a new control board. Called LG back to find out that part was only covered for a year under my warranty. That was an expensive fridge with a lousy warranty. I suspect Im not the only customer with this issue.

I bought a front loader (LG True Balance) in December 2011. My clothes don’t seem to get cleaned, I watched it run its cycle and it doesnt run like the sales lady said, it will go clockwise 4 tumbles then hesitate, goes counter clockwise 4 times and hesitate and then continues like that the whole wash cycle. It spends more time not doing anything than tumbling. My daughter bought a Frigidaire and I watched that run and it runs like the sales lady said mine should run. It tumbles on both directions but for about 1 minute and only stops for a bit nothing, like mine.
