I am complaining about a LG Oven I purchased July 2014. The blue finish inside the oven is peeling off, the customer representative for LG said this was a cosmetic problem and the LG Company does not warranty this problem. This is a problem when the company was baking the enamel to the product and it was not done properly. This is not the consumers responsibility. When I purchased the product I was told that I was warranty on every part of the oven for 5 years because I bought the extended warranty. I am going to be a advocate on telling people NOT to buy LG Products unless they resolve this issue.

I have an LG microwave that I bought in 2013 at Sears. Yesterday I was using the timer when I heard it turn on. I tried turning it off but nothing worked until I unplugged it. The unit was hot to the touch. If I had not been home when this happened Im sure it would have started a fire. The other thing that scared me was I was able to open the door while the unit was running which left a funny taste in my mouth for a few hours. Im not sure I have a receipt but if I can find one how would I submit it?

Bought an LG washer under the Kenmore brand, which worked beautifully until the warranty expired. Now it repeatedly shuts off before rinse cycle and also shuts off on spin cycle. Planned obsolescence. Was the most expensive on the market at the time. Waste of money.

Bought an LG suite when remodeling our home. Our refrigerator and freezer quit working after 2 year. A call to LG service for repair was met with parts are covered but not labor charges. We were forced to spend $400.00 to get service to schedule repairs. Service tech came and replaced compressor. We are out the $400.00 service call as well as hundreds of $$ in spoiled food! I see where several posters indicated they were compensated for both and am wondering if LG would make good on our claim or is a class action the route we should take?

Major issue: EASY CLEAN is not. There is no self clean feature which seems unbelievable in a $775 range. We like others (we with two new knees) used the easy clean three times exactly how suggested in Manual. Also after 2 phone calls (and later 3 emails) was told to bake at 375 degrees with water (like in easy clean method). Later told to try mixing vinegar and baking soda. NO luck. If I may also mention setting the timer to either bake start/stop or to simply use the timer usually turns oven off. Not sure how to overcome or understand that process. There are a few other suggestions but if only the oven would get clean we could use the oven w uncovered dishes, steaks, etc.

I bought an LG refrigerator from Sears in May 2015. In June 2019, my freezer stopped making ice. Long story short: an LG technician diagnosed the problem as a compressor/sealed system failure. LG agreed to a courtesy repair but after three visits the LG technician submitted a report to the company declaring the unit unrepairable. Since then, the company has delayed and deflected and made follow up and follow through extremely difficult. I cannot reach a service manager on the phone. I am not sure whether I will be compensated for my losses. I know there is a class-action lawsuit against LG on this very issue. I may well end up joining it. There is no reason why a four-year-old perfectly maintained refrigerator should fail after four years. It should be covered under the manufacturers warranty.

Purchased 2 new LG dishwashers for my new home from Sears. Both failed completely after approx 16 months within 2 weeks of each other with the same problem. Sears wouldnt send a service man even though I offered to pay for the call knowing they were out of warranty. Too far out of Edmonton was the excuse!! Not too far to deliver the appliances!! Funny how that works.Anyhow both power supplies failed and were replaced with an updated version. Funny that they know the parts are faulty but wont even cover the defective parts under warranty. Both dishwashers still have lots of error codes and fail midway thru cycles more than 50% of the time. No one at LG or Sears seems to care so I guess when they die completely Ill replace them with another brand and thru a retailer other than Sears who will agree to service them in my area in writing prior to purchase. LG and Sears will never see me as a customer again and I feel ashamed that I spent over $30,000.00 with them on new appliances. Good luck to you both!! NOT!

My husband and I purchased this top loading LG washing machine on January 2, 2019. Mid February 2020, as I was doing laundry, I heard an extremely loud noise. The washer had jumped all over, dented our wall and the frame of the washing machine was bent outward. The top was also popped off. The warranty was only 12 months, therefore out of warranty. The process that LG gives us for filing a complaint is extremely difficult. We have been given standard email responses. As of today, they have not contacted us to discuss the matter and resolve it.

I am writing this letter because my mom who lives with a terminal illness has been without a fridge for nine days. Neither the fridge nor freezer works. This isnt the first time. She went without a fridge for a week before this a month ago. She recently purchased this fridge in October of 2012. We were told to go buy or ask a neighbor for a cooler to put our food in. We live in a very small town, and it is difficult to eat out all the time. We have been losing out hundreds of dollars with the food going spoiled. In addition, I am working all day, and my mom is without food. The first guy who came to fix the fridge brought a hair dryer. The second guy said he only ordered the part for the freezer and not the fridge even though we told him that neither worked. When my mom called the appliance company to see how soon the part was coming in and asked if she could get the part number, the manager said he did not have to tell her that and spoke very rudely. Then when she asked when the technician was coming out, the manager told her the technician would be in court all day. My mom isnt able to speak well as her muscles are going out. She also noticed a scratch on her fridge that was done by the technicians. The appliance company said they had nothing to do with that as did LG when we called. Therefore, I called and spoke with the supervisor and filed a formal complaint hoping someone will hear our frustrations. The supervisor was helpful and did as much as he could, which was to see when the part would come in. However, the manager of the appliance company said he was on the road and couldnt give the information right there and then. That is understandable, but I dont understand why it is taking so long to get a part in. Can the part not be delivered in 1 or 2 business days? We paid over $1200 for this fridge. I dont understand the customer service. The appliance company has been rude and LG has not been able to do much. I understand there is a process for everything, but this has become too much. What are we to do? My mom is stressed with having a terminal illness and her husband passing away recently. Can you please fix this situation? I have sent this through the post office with urgency hoping that you can address the situation.

Purchased a LG French Door with freezer on the bottom three years ago. The fridge stopped working on November 1st. My husband contacted the customer service department of LG and spoke to a rep. When he didnt hear back from them, he called again only to discover that there was no record of the initial call. Repairman said that the electronic panel is broken. The repair will be approximately $400. Spoke to an electrical engineer who diagnosed the problem and even guessed the cost of the repair. He had similar issues with his LG. Said that it is a quick fix with a little soldering and a cheap fuse. Apparently the glass tubing that the Koreans use breaks easily after door is closed repeatedly. I have triplets who are in the fridge and closing the door 24-7. The designers either dont know how Americans used a refrigerator or it is planned flaw so the consumer is forced to make a costly repair. Will never buy another LG after learning this!

0 stars ! We have had the LG front loading washer for several years and have tried all tricks to get rid of the moldy smell, like leaving the door open when not in use, to no avail. The repair man suggested we run a bleach load first to help kill the smell prior to doing the other loads, or just run it empty with bleach prior to using it. We bought it for its efficiency, not to waste energy! We have reached the end of our rope with this washer and feel it is irresponsible to even give it away due to the health concerns.

My 83 year old mother purchased an LG refrigerator about 2 years ago. She’s on a fixed income, so this was a significant purchase for her. I advised her to purchase the extended warranty for peace of mind in case something happened. What a joke. The refrigerator stopped cooling—freezer too. We called the repair number on her extended warranty & were told that the soonest they could get a repair technician out was over 9 days away. Well, not ideal, but we figured we could figure out how to make it work. The tech called to confirm the appointment & informed us he had ordered a new compressor to be shipped to her house because “they go out all the time.” Wow. That inspires confidence in the product. The repair day came and went without a tech showing up. When we called to inquire why the no-show & were rudely told that we were supposed to call when we received the parts. Well we saved the voicemail from the tech and there was NO mention of calling when the parts arrived. So they rescheduled the appointment, and again, the soonest available was a week away. The appointment was supposed to be from 1-5. We confirmed this for the 3 days leading up to the appointment. Yes, they assured us, the tech will be there between 1&5. Guess what? Again, no tech, it’s a Friday and the office closed at 5, so no help.Fed up, I called a local repair company. They were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. So I call LG to see if they will at least cover the labor for the repair. I’m told that because I didn’t use their “approved” vendor that they won’t cover the repair. Seriously? Clearly the LG refrigerators have a known issue with the compressor going out, but unless you use their “approved” vendor, you are out of luck. After over 7 hours of calls to LG customer service I was finally able to get ahold of the Executive team. Supposedly the approved vendor will be out tomorrow between 1&5. Yeah, heard that before. Fingers crossed they actually show up this time. One way or another, I will NEVER purchase an LG ANYTHING and I will advise EVERYONE I know to do the same. Worst customer service EVER.

Bought my LG fridge about 6 years ago and started having issues 2 months ago. The compressor went out. Luckily that part is still under warranty. However, 2 compressors later LG still has not managed to get the correct part to the Geek Squad to fix my fridge. First compressor they sent ended up being a television stand. Sorry LG I am not in need of a TV stand. Today the 2nd compressor arrived and it is the wrong one. How hard could it possibly be? How much money are these errors costing LG? I know how much they are costing me and it sucks. So now I have to wait 5 more days before they will come back to my house. I assure you this will be the last LG product I will buy.

My beautiful blue coating blistered after the first self cleaning cycle. I was just past warranty when I needed to run the cleaning. LG did not feel they owe us anything as it was past warranty. When I buy an oven I expect it to last 10 years or more, not 1 or 2. What is most disappointing is that we chose the model after careful analysis and based our decision on the high opinion of CONSUMER REPORT!! WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK IT IS - THE TOP UNDER THE BURNERS IS NOT EVEN CERAMIC - IT IS A BLACK PAINT!!!! It scratched after light cleaning with an SOS PAD!!!! In late June 2012, we got an LG/Kenmore french door refrigerator. On 9-6-12, the error code FF appeared on the display. After calling Sears, I was told the freezer fan needed to be replaced and it would take 7-10 days for the part to arrive at my house. In the meantime, the ice maker doesnt work. This was unacceptable and we decided to return the refrigerator rather than wait for a part on a less than three-month-old appliance. After checking online, it appears that other people are having the same error code with LG and Samsung refrigerators. Consumer Reports rates them high, but I will not be buying another LG or Samsung.

Our refrigerator which cost $2,300 stopped working on Feb. 1st. A call to the number in the manual connected me to a call center somewhere in the world to a person who did not understand English. They referred me to an LG authorized repair service. After 2 weeks and 3 visits and $372.00, the refrigerator still did not work!!! They told me that I need to get an LG factory technician.I called LG who then told me that I must purchase a 60-day extended warranty for $253,29. They set up an appointment a week later with another LG AUTHORIZED repair service. On the day of the appointment we called the service only to be told that he was too busy and that LG did not send him the parts which he needed to do the repair. I called the LG number again who made an appointment with another service. It is now 3 weeks and they are still waiting for the parts!!! To be continued. I thought Comcast and AT&T were bad!!! LG wins the booby prize.

I purchased a LG French Door Refrigerator through Costco in December of 2015. The refrigerator completely stopped working, it has a completely closed system so very hard to see anything. Called for help on March 11th, 2017, 15 months after purchase and still in two year warranty period. After much BS they finally agreed I was still under warranty and sent out a service request. I live in a county of 500,000 people. They had ONE service person for this entire area. That person called late that night to say they were not doing this anymore, could I call LG? I did, I am now waiting for someone from out of this area to come work on Refrig. Its been 5 days, no call. Will call Costco tomorrow and see what happens next. LG clearly has NO interest in caring for its products if they have ZERO technicians in a community of 500,000 people. DONT PURCHASE LG!!!

No Stars. Dont buy LG or dont buy it from HH Gregg. They must buy wholesale merchandise that didnt pass manufacturing standards. I bought and replaced the same item in less than six years. They might work for as much as a year or little longer, hence their strong encouragement to buy additional warranties. Same model. Two refrigerators; Two failures; loss of two refrigerators/freezers full of food. First time: Told to wait a few hours for it to cool; then overnight for it to cool. It didnt. Had to wait a weekend before another (same model) was delivered. Four years later that one has stopped being cold.Only repairs offered were to replace the compressor if that had failed to work. All other costs were mine. Including $150 round trip for the lone LG certified technician in my area willing to work on my LG fridge to come from 50 miles away. THEN, diagnostic fees before problem is determined. IF it was the compressor those have a 10 year warranty. Repairmen say theyd have to order the $800 compressor then come out again ($150 travel) to install.Customer service is located in Manilla. They are only authorized to refer me to several repairmen but would only replace the actual compressor - nothing else, not even food loss. Im living on a small fixed income after retirement becoming disabled. Often spending time away in hospital each year. It has been months summer since Ive had use of the refrigerator. I live alone and have a tiny fridge in my bedroom for when I cant use the stairs. This has been a nuisance and a costly one at that. Be warned.

LG Top Loader WT1001CW. DO NOT - DO NOT- DO NOT- BUY this washing machine. I agree totally with all the other reviews. It does not fill with water enough to even cover the clothes. There is virtually no agitation to get the clothes clean. Clothes usually remain in the same position in tub during the entire wash process and dry spots remain on clothes.. they didnt even get wet. I have had to rewash loads again just to try to get them clean but still they dont come out clean at all. Spin cycle is crazy and clothes just lay on top. This is the WORST machine ever made. I dont know how they get a good rating. Someone stacked the deck to trick consumers into buying this machine. I have had this machine for about 6 months and wish I could return it. Do not buy LG washers.

I THOUGHT I did proper research on dependability, etc., but boy was I wrong. After one week of use, the circuit board on the front-load washer went out. I called LG and the (2) reps I spoke with spoke VERY broken English, gave me a case # and told me to call a local appliance service for repair. That service took 10 days to get to my house, looked at it for less than 5 minutes, was rude and asked what we expected him to do as we had the units stacked (appropriately per the manual), said he needed to order a circuit board and would be back in touch. A week later, no word, I called the service facility and they now scheduled for yet another week out - three to four weeks for a repair? We previously had Maytag and Whirlpool front loads, left them at houses we sold, and are sooo sorry we didnt go back - LOVED our previous units, especially the Maytags, and it was local, English-speaking service. To whom it may concern, I am very disappoint of your service for my refrigerator. My refrigerator is not cooling since 05/20/2019. The technician came out 5 times and fixed for 3 times. The last fixing was last for a week and it was not cooling on July 4 of 2019. I had 18 people in my home on that day and we had to trash a lot of food. There is another technician comes out tomorrow to take a look at my refrigerator, I have 2 young children who need food and milk. This is very frustrated for them because they keep asking when my refrigerator is fixed so they can have some food as before. When I talked to customer service she said that 3 times are the last chance if it does not work, they will replace or refund me money so I can have a new refrigerator. This is not true because LG still wants to come out and look at it again. The schedule is really taking so long (7 days or 10 days ahead). Another customer service told me that the policy is fixing from 1-2 weeks. However, it is almost 2 months for this. Therefore, this is also a problem and I dont know what is your policy. You can just keep doing this and do not care about the customer as for how long this has been going on. I can tell you that we will not buy any LG product in the future because of your service likes this. I have told my co-works, friends and my relatives regarding of your service.

There is no sized load, small or large, that goes thru a complete cycle without the unbalanced signal going on. This is NOT a washer you can leave alone for any length of time. LG has caused a SAFETY HAZARD and is doing NOTHING about it! Following is a timeline of the frustrating and DANGEROUS situation we have gone through with LG in their customer service process. March 18, 2018 - We smelled gas from coming from our 8-month-old LG gas range, which we purchased in June 2017 and is still under warranty. We contacted our local energy provider, CenterPoint Energy. A technician immediately came out. He found gas and carbon monoxide leaking from our gas range and flagged it for leaks.March 23 - After spending hours on the phone with LG customer service, we were finally able to get an LG technician to our house, even though our gas range should have been IMMEDIATELY RETURNED as a FIRE HAZARD. When the LG tech showed up, his device did not even have a carbon monoxide detector on it! He declared there were no gas leaks, even though four people in the house smelled an odor so strong it was causing me headaches and making me dizzy.April 10 - After more lengthy phone calls to LG customer service, we finally got a 2nd LG service technician to come out. Even though we still smelled gas and I still had headaches, this technician also claimed to have found no leaks. April 10 - We were forced to take matters into our own hands and hired an independent plumber to conduct a gas test. This plumber was able to come out immediately after the 2nd LG technician left our house. He found gas leaking from 3 burners and carbon monoxide leaking from the oven. We reached out to LG, and after hours of being transferred from one supervisor and department to another, my call was transferred to a voicemail of someone who had not updated their personal recording since January 2018.April 12 - We decided to reach out to the store from whom we purchased the gas range to see if that would bring any results. Our sales rep is being very helpful and has reached out to someone pretty high up in the chain at LG, although we still have no resolution. April 26 - After countless phone calls back and forth to LG, including one clueless LG representative who called and said This is about a refrigerator, right? we are STILL nowhere. Ive called LG dozens of times only to have my call dropped or transferred from one department to another. Not only is this the WORST customer service experience Ive ever had; it has put me and my family in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. There needs to be a lawsuit filed against LG; unfortunately I am not in a financial position to file one myself, especially after losing an expensive gas range with no replacement!

I purchased an LG dryer in March 2015 due to the great ratings and owning a lot of LG products. Within a year I started having trouble with my dryer: no heat. I called several times and customer service said it wasnt their unit. They said it was my venting system or electrical. Had someone come out. Nothing wrong with electrical. Tore dryer apart. No lint nothing plugged from lint basket to outside vent. Finally after 5 months they honored their warranty. Took repair company 3 weeks to fix the dryer. Heater and sensor replaced. Not even 6 loads later same issue. So I called corporate office where I was told they were not going to fix my dryer nor were they replacing it. I am not a happy customer. Save your money and purchase a kenmore. I WILL NEVER own another LG product again. They cant stand behind their products. I gave them a 1 star rating because you cannot give them a -5 star rating.

OMG, where do I start? The machine has been nothing but problems. It was quiet for 1 day, then the noise and vibrations coming from the machine sounded like a squealing pig. Technicians have been sent out. He practically rebuilt the washing machine, replaced the motor, the stator, clutch, pretty much everything, now worse than ever! Please dont buy an LG appliance and do yourself a favor!! Whats so ironic is the fact its advertised as True Balance anti-vibration system. Somebody at LG advertising must have thought this term on April Fools Day!!!! I literally HATE this machine.

My wife purchased the top of the line LG French door at Lowes in Griffin, Ga 7-27-14 (over $3000!). On 8-13, unit made strange humming sound and 8-14, freezer quit (suspect frig also but we kept door closed). Called LG 7pm 8-14 and the advisor had me go thru a bunch of steps (it was quite obvious he was reading the steps and had no clue what he was advising). He asked had we reset?? anything or made any adjustments to the temp...I wouldnt even know HOW? He had me unplug, then reset temp to -6 and then place a cup of water in the freezer and call him back in 3 hours. The whole time humming/unusual sounds still there. I called back at 11pm EST as instructed, and cup of water still just a cup of water, did not freeze. He then told me we were out of their normal service area??? and it will take 2-3 days for a technician to arrive! Seriously! Hello, this is the year 2014, not 1934. I then got upset. I called Lowes the next morning at 6am. They brought a loaner frig and placed on our front porch. As soon as it was unloaded, the LG mysteriously started working and the sound went away. I am calling Lowes this morning for a full refund. I am not going to get involved with this mystery problem going back and forth. LG customer service, horrible, I AM OUT and will never purchase any LG product. Please dont make the mistake we made, do your research first!! Shame on you Lowes for offering this frig as a top end! Do your research Lowes purchasing agents.

Updated on 10/03/2019: LG phoned today regarding my review. Since I didnt have a haul away receipt, there was nothing they could do and since I didnt purchase another LG product, they couldnt help with the cost. They dont care about the customer, as they say they do. I spoke to LG many times during the 3 months I was without a refrigerator and asked that they replace the unit or give me a buyout with no response. An Appliance repair company e-mailed them after speaking to a person in the executive services and asked that they contact me regarding a replacement or buyout, but, of course, they never did.Original review: Do not purchase! I spent 3 agonizing months trying to get the compressor replaced. Every time a technician came they said it wasnt the compressor and changed the fan, door magnet, and adjusted the sensitivity in the door light. Finally I had to call another appliance repair company due to the fact that their warranty company is horrible. Then, it took many weeks to get LG to authorize them to do the work. Finally, the technician began to install the compressor that LG sent 3 months prior. LG had sent the wrong compressor for this model. When the correct compressor was installed, it didnt fix the problem. After many calls to LG, they would not replace the refrigerator, nor give me a buyback. My 18 month old refrigerator is now in the dump and I am very happy with my new GE.

I purchased an LG Model# LFX33975st Refridgerator from Lowes September 2004
I purchased an LG Model# LFX33975st Refridgerator from Lowes September 2004. I paid 2748.60 for it and also purchased the Lowes extended warranty. That is a whole different issue. This fridge never cooled like it should from the day I bought it. I would hear weird noises from time to time, several times the freezer would start to thaw out. At first, I thought my wife had too much stuff in it but that wasnt the problem. Then it would start working again. A lot of food would spoil in this fridge. Well, it finally quit cooling altogether and we lost all of the food both in the fridge and freezer. I called Lowes as I had an extended warranty and I also contacted LG. LG sent a new compressor and the wrong filter drier and scheduled the service facility to come out and make the repair. The repairman came out and found a leak in the fridge evaporator. He ordered the new part, he came out to make the repair. Now, this is going on for 3 weeks. 48 Hrs later the freezer is working but the fridge is not. So after doing a little research online, it is clear that LG has major issues with their compressors and other components that they are aware of and there are several class action lawsuits against them. I have all LG appliances in my house as the salesman at the store told me how good the LG products are. I am very sorry I purchased these products and will never buy another appliance from LG or Lowes.

On September 6th, my wife and I felt a Jarring motion in our home. It was almost like an earthquake. I went to investigate and found my LG washer had spun out of control and had put a 6 inch dent in our wall and had also hit the LG Dryer next to it and did considerable damage to it. Since the machine was about a year old we contacted LG. Within days they sent out a technician, who took pictures of the damage and forwarded them to LG. He also unplugged the machine and locked it so we could not use it. For the next month and a half we contact LG on what they would do. After about 10 phone calls with questions about what is the serial #, which the tech sent them the first day, to where did you buy it and do you have a receipt. Again all info they track as the manufacturer. They did refer us to a Mr. ** who did respond to emails, But it wasnt his department. We finally contacted the Presidents Office and that got a response now they are offering a free repair or a discount on a new unit. Nothing about the $300 worth of damage to our wall or the extensive damage to the dryer unit. The whole process seems to be designed to have you stay on hold until you give up and dealing with people with a poor understanding of English, to pointing you to the wrong people. We are 45 days later and now the President is involved. Hopefully we will get our repairs soon.

My refrigerator (LSXS22423) a side by side is 2 years and 3 months old. Wasnt making ice Sunday and by Monday everything in freezer was thawed. The compressor is shot!! Really... 2 years??? I was told by a person who SELLS LG refrigerators that he wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Their compressors are known to die after about 2 years... Really?? He said even if you wanted to repair it they would use the same compressor model that failed and since so many of them are failing we are looking at a 3 to 4 month wait-list... Really?? I bought a whole new LG kitchen 2 years ago. My fault I did not read the reviews first. Totally my fault, but when you pay $1700 for a fridge you expect more than two years out of it. I had a GE before and had it for 18 years. Still worked when I bought my precious LG. I am a senior who has to watch his money and this situation just makes me sick. I dont deserve this nor do any of the other LG customers who have been screwed. Where is the Quality Control?? It is a crime and you should be ashamed. 2 years... REALLY?? Yeah, really!!!

When we bought this dryer we were told itll last at least 10 years ~ it died today and its only been a little over 6 years. When we were forced to purchase a new LG washer 5 years ago because the stackable unit that LG makes will only support LG products, we were told by the LG repairman who had to come out twice to fix the brand new washer, told us that in reality the dryer would probably only last about 7 years and the new washer about 5 years because thats the way theyre designed. The dryer didnt even last the 7 years. Absolute expensive garbage and I will NEVER buy another LG product! Its costing us $425-$450 to have it repaired today, but its better than throwing away another $2000 on another set of useless, cheap-made crap by LG.

I have the smell issues with my LG front-loading washer and Im sure, after seeing the pictures from another case, I will be dismantling my machine this weekend (with pictures inside and out including the moldy drawer that is supposed to clean my clothing) to get rid of black mold that is most definitely making my family and me sick. I will be using extreme care to sanitize the unit and my home from this negligent company that cares nothing for its grievous mistakes that so many have had to endure. Shame on you, LG for being so big and creating a problem you clearly knew about and do nothing for the customers who made you who you are! I hope that some lawyer who owns one will see this forum and take you on. Ill be glad to display my findings with 1080p HQ video and 18 gig pictures with a bag full of what I find growing in my $2,000 fungus-growing washer that you built. P.S. I forgot to mention the fact that I have to flip the breaker each and every time I wash a load of clothes for my washer to power up! Thanks for nothing, grrr!

LG WM3360HWCA - After about 2 years the washer sounds like a Concorde taking off on spin cycle. You cannot be in the same room as the noise is so bad. Called LG and of course theres no one here on the island (live in Hawaii) to come and service it. They gave me the contact number for a company that does repairs. Unfortunately after a week of calling them and no return calls I ended up having Sears come out. He spun the drum in the machine all for $105 and then stated that the repairs would be $1100 as the bearings had gone out. I paid $700 for this washer. How can the repairs cost more? The Sears service rep said that I was over using the machine. I explained that I only fill up to the minimum line on the guide inside. He stated that in Hawaii the water is soft and that we are supposed to use half the recommendation that is on the bottle. I have never heard this before. So now out-of-pocket and have to go and buy a brand-new washer. LG the good life my ass.

My wife and I spent $2,000 on LG Dryer and Washer. Like someone mentioned earlier, washer does what it is supposed to do. Dryer, on the other hand, worked well for only 6 months. Now, it has stopped drying 2 times in the last 4 weeks, and LG reps struggle to support what is an inherent issue. They subcontract local repair companies that do not have parts, and each failure takes 10 days for a fix while your clothes pile up. We had a $350 (another cheapie name brand) dryer that worked flawlessly for 8 years. LGs customer service is subpar. Their structure for repair with subcontractors is subpar. Their parts delivery and stocking is questionable. And when you call their 800 # and ask for a supervisor, they simply switch you from one line to the next. There is no hierarchy, and no one gives a crap that your expensive dryer is crap. Run as far as you can from LG if you are looking. We are hoping our machine is running by next week so we can catch up on 10 loads of laundry while we wait for 10 days for parts. Very poor communication between LG and subcontractors as well. It’s so frustrating. We are going to talk to the Home Depot as well where we purchased as well. They should know they are selling inferior, defective products right? LG, step it up. If you own one, buy that extended warranty. You will need it!

Updated on 09/09/2019: In mid June the compressor on our until went out. Repair technicians came and replaced the compressor. That lasted 2 weeks and they had to come again and they replaced a hose they said had a pin sized leak. 2 weeks later the unit failed and a different company came to check the unit. He cleaned out some things and refilled refrigerant. Well 3 weeks after that it failed again. The technician advised he didn’t know what was wrong. He thought replacing the compressor again along with the coils might help but wasn’t sure what was wrong with it. All he did was refill refrigerant. LG promised us that the 4 call would be the one to determine if our 3.5 year old fridge was repairable. It did not cool and we have thrown out countless hundreds of dollars in food.LG is now telling us to call back tomorrow and they will send out a different technician to see what is wrong with it!! OMG!! LG, your refrigerators don’t work and you know it. Mind you it takes anywhere from 5-7 days for a technician to even come each and every time we have called. We live out of coolers and are completely frustrated with LG! I would never advise anyone to purchase an LG refrigerator.Original Review: Our few year old, expensive refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling in early June. We contacted LG and they sent out a repairman 3 days later who did not have a compressor in hand and had to order it. So over a week after we called our refrigerator was fixed, BUT, for now only 2 weeks then it died again. The repair people came out and said there was a pinhole leak in a hose and they replaced it and put in new refrigerant and so on. Well, it lasted 2 weeks again and a different repair company came and basically said he would clean out the hoses and he refilled the refrigerant. It had lasted 3 weeks this time!My fridge has been at a solid 69 degrees and the freezer at 55. It has taken over a week to get someone here. LG claims they will replace or give a refund for the fridge this time. I have thrown out several upon several hundreds of dollars of food. Lg knows they have a defect in the linear compressor and they just need to replace the refrigerators that have issues. Each time we call it has taken over a week to get it fixed and it seems like it’s only a temporary solution.

We purchased our LG electric range model LRE3023ST in November 2012 and the buttons have stopped working now 3 times. Each time a repairman came out; however it works intermittently so when it stopped working on a Sunday and the repairman comes on Wednesday, and it has since begun working again, they do nothing. Once it was not working when repairman came and they replaced all the electronics, which worked only for a short time before happening again. It is completely unreliable and I never know if it will work. I cannot understand how LG can get away with selling stoves that dont work. Similar models have been recalled but not yet this one, but LG obviously has issues with the buttons on their stoves. Three times I have prepared dinner only to find out I cannot use my range. Brand new $2500 French door refrigerator not cooling or making ice out of the box. LG “support“ made me test it different things for 2 days straight. Just long enough to be past the 2 day return policy at Home Depot. Lost hundreds of dollars in meats and seafood in my freezer. Turns out the main PCB board which is the brains of the refrigerator is defective. I demanded a new refrigerator and have been given the run around from LG for the past week, not to mention rudely spoken to and hung up on several times. Acquired a LG washer model WT1101CW, 2/4/14 from Stine in Broussard, Louisiana. Washer broke November 2015. The warranty that we bought from Stine was through NSI Protection Plus at the same time. They sold the contract to Warrantech 800-279-1662. Our washer broke again March 24, 2016 (same problem) over a week ago and on the same day a call was made to Warrantech and A&E to get our washer fixed. Someone came out and ordered the parts. The parts came through UPS 4 days later and meanwhile we wait 3 days until today to have the repair done. Took off of work (self-employed) and waited from 8:00 to 3:00 p.m. Somehow Sears is involved with A&E and the guy states that the parts are partially broken and that the order is incomplete. He also stated that he would not be able to do the repair because he is with Sears and they do not get paid through Warrantech - What is up with this? Meanwhile I call Stine rep and Warrantech calls me and I tell him how crazy all of this is and he hangs up on me!

LG LDF6920ST Dishwasher - I bought this dishwasher in the spring of 2011 and in August 2014 the dishwasher will need to be replaced. This dishwasher was not abused and is in a 2 person household. Initially I smelled an awful smell of burnt electrical coming from the dishwasher and now it wont stay on. Im afraid it will catch the house on fire. An LG registered service person cost $89.00 for the service call and $150.00 per hour not including parts. I wont be buying another LG product anytime soon.

This item had good ratings and suggestions directly to me from store associates and consumer ratings. Online there were very electorate reviews from multiple retailers and review websites about how this refrigerator, in general, was the best one that many of the spoken consumers had every previously owned. I like the water filter, cooling levels, storage space, stainless steal, and ice machine. Additionally, it has a wide breadth, lots of shelves, easy to clean interior and exterior, and good lighting inside the machine. Sound levels, height, and some leakage at the bottom occasionally. Otherwise, there is nothing else I notably dislike. I would improve the quickness of the ice making process for the ice maker machine, and I would also improve the noise levels for lower levels or whirring and shaking noises.

I have the LG refrigerator model LFXC24726S that is identified with the common premature failure of the compressor resulting in no cooling. I inherited this refrigerator when I bought the house 2 years ago, so I had no purchase receipt. The compressor failed recently and I called LG. They said the parts are covered under 10 years from date of purchase and labor 5 years from date of purchase. Since I didnt have the purchase receipt they went by the manufacture date of Sept. 2015. The unit failed and I called on 11/12/20. Just two months over the 5 years from manufacture date. They charged $125 on the phone for service call and another $250 for labor it took to replace the part(which was covered under warranty) to get their fail refrigerator up and running. The frustrating aspect to me is the logic that after large consumer appliance product is manufactured it doesnt get to the end user the next week. How many times do I see even on dry food products that the manufacture date is already at least month ago before it hits the supermarket shelves. I get the sense for large consumer appliances it would be more than 2 months from manufacture before it is purchased by end user. I know this refrigerator was purchased after Jan. 2016 because thats when the prior owners of my house had bought the house and remodel the kitchen, but obviously that could not help sway my case to waive the labor fee. My wife and I love the refrigerator, especially how the ice maker is small and on the door and it doesnt take up an entire corner of top shelf corner and also retains some small shelves on the dispenser door unlike Samsung unit we had in our prior home where we lost top corner shelve space and lost the smaller shelves on the inside of the dispenser door. Unfortunately, we are not going to go with LG for our next refrigerator. It is just too unreliable and I have to pay a few hundred dollars out of pocket for their failed product. Not to mention it took 6 days before a technician can come out.

Do not waste your money on anything LG. Bought a refrigerator. Within 7 months it stopped working. Sent a tech out. Fixed the problem. Now the refrigerator again is down, 4 years old, compressor went. Lost everything in the refrigerator because no error codes came up on it. Had the compressor, filter dryer and evap. Of course LG knows theres problems with their refrigerators, it been a known problem, but you still have to pay for labor. Well lo and behold. All that replaced and the piece of junk still not working. Will not take a charge. Tech company called LG to deem it unrepairable, now they want them to fix the capillary tubes and replace them. Since they want that repaired, I asked if they were paying for the labor? Of course not. Look into it before purchase. Many Lawsuits over the same issue. Even if the repair is successful 3 months down the road youre fixing it again. Almost a month still no refrigerator and $400 worth of food in the garbage. The customer service reps know its an issue and agree youll be fixing it again and again but their PCP department for the techs still insist on having repair after repair done. Please do research on their products before you purchase. LG stand for Luxurious Garbage. Now Im just bringing them to small claims court. Oh forget any repair place coming to change out the capillary tubing. NO ONE WILL EVEN TOUCH IT. Thanks LG for the Luxurious Garbage you sell, stick with TVs.

After a week and a half of dancing with technicians and various customer support people, we now find our LG refrigerator cannot be fixed. We purchased an LG LFC25770SG on the last day of December 2008 and took delivery in January 2009. Three years and four months later, the compressor has died. When we first discovered the problem, we were shocked the warranty was only for a year. However, some parts are covered for seven years and our compressor is one of them (partial warranty as part is covered but service is not). I could give you the blow-by-blow description of the frustrating customer support calls, three service technician visits, multiple incorrect part deliveries, and going into the Memorial Day Weekend (a traditional barbecue weekend for us) with no refrigerator, no solution to the problem and no sense of urgency by LG in correcting the situation. Our model requires a compressor that is no longer available (even though it is covered by warranty). Of course, if you go online and look for the part, you find it listed (even on LGs sites) with various prices. On many sites, it lists a replacement part for the compressor, but LG said this model requires the original compressor and that there are no substitutes. Unfortunately, they apparently have not notified the parts industry or their factory-authorized repair technicians. Even the LG technician they sent out today (We had been dealing with Sears Home Repair.) thought the replacement part was a suitable sub and was trying to figure out how to install the replacement part. Only after I insisted he interrupt his call to listen to me did he hear me say we have talked to LG twice and that they said there is no substitution for this part. Sears parts distribution has sent us the same part in an expedited shipment twice. Guess Ill tell them since LG hasnt, now we are waiting for LG management to contact us for a solution to our problem undoubtedly next week. That will make a full two weeks without our refrigerator with no concern for the food lost, inconvenience, customer dissatisfaction, repair call costs, or even product quality. I expect their solution will be unsatisfactory (a replacement unit with no warranty, a depreciated value refund, or credit toward a new model, etc). None of these will be satisfactory, as I will accept nothing less than a suitable replacement with the full warranty or refund of our purchase price. I suspect this may be the beginning of litigation. I would like to think LG would be concerned enough about their brand and their product quality that they would want to do the right thing to make us whole. However, our experience so far and the complaints Ive read here do not project a favorable outcome.

While we were impressed with this refrigerator with its Converta drawer and smart styling inside and out, we have been nothing but disappointed in the quality of this product. Extremely disappointed in the product and the customer service. We purchased this fridge in April/11 and it was delivered in June/11. In July/11, the Converta drawer stopped working and as the fridge was under store warranty. It was replaced with a second fridge same model, in Sept/11. Two weeks after delivery, the freezer drawer on this fridge malfunctioned causing it to open and immediately close without remaining open to remove food items. (Freezer drawer opens when a button is pushed). This fridge was returned and in Oct/11, we received our third fridge of this model. Since Oct/11, this fridge is awaiting its fourth compressor, in 2.5 years. We have been without a fully functioning fridge for most of the lifespan of this fridge. Repair people are unfamiliar with the technology in this fridge, however according to the Sears technicians in conjunction with the LG technicians this fridge is repairable. My question is why does this this fridge always require a compressor annually? Fortunately we purchased an extended warranty on this appliance because I am told the replacement cost of the compressor is approximately $1000.00 plus applicable charges, tax, labor, etc. I regret this purchase immensely mostly because when the warranty expires in 1.5 years, this fridge will be in a landfill site somewhere, sadly.

I heard great responses and reviews about this fridge in general and that made me think to buy that brand. It met my expectations. Other brands dont compare to the LG that I have. It was a smart purchase. It is easy, clean fun refrigerator to use. Its low on power. It save energy. Its time efficient, I would tell others to buy this product. It is a great investment to me and others. It is a really good fridge. If I need to improve it I would improve the space. I dislike the spacing. It could use more. Than that I actually has.

My dryer is 3 months old and has never worked. I have a backup of 8 giant garbage bags of dirty clothes because the drying takes so long. (The 4 yr old washer is fine.) The LG repairman says maybe its the venting but the venting man (when one can be found) says the venting is clear and correctly installed. I have spent days on the phone seeking service!I can only run the dryer on its timer, or else it will quit in about 4 minutes. When on its timer, every 20 minutes I have to open its front door, let out humidity, have an extra washcloth to wipe out moisture and lint from around the front door. This seems to show me that the interior is not designed to let moist air out. Heat goes out the vent but not moisture and lint. Current laundry is still damp after 3 such 20 minute cycles. Because of its recent cost I cannot afford to replace it. You should not have to experience this. Whatever happened to LG?

I bought a window LG Dual Inverter 15 months ago. I read many reviews and they were very negative but the low noise thing was hard to beat. Yes it is low noise at low speed but still worked good for my needs. Now it is freezing in the front coils. I have used the unit less than 6 months as I dont live permanent where it was installed. LG service is non-existent and now the warranty is expired. Also the front grill looks CHEAP in appearance and one or two clips broke during installation. I will never ever buy anything from that brand and much less any appliances from Home Depot.

We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depot store. We decided to upgrade our kitchen and splurge a little on a reputable, high end brand fridge - LG. After 6 months of owning this fridge, we have had nothing but issues. We have had it repaired at least 6 times. The main issues being: (1) it not staying cool/cold, making it inoperable and spoiling all of our food contents; (2) water leakage; and (3) ice not working. The first item has been the most common, the most frustrating and the most costly to us. We just recently went food shopping and the very next day, our fridge decided to stop being cold. All food is spoiling again. You could imagine the money that is lost and the predicament it puts our family of six children in. We are not picky people. If its a simple fix, we would gladly take care of it ourselves as to not burden anyone else. The repair service keeps fixing the same things and replacing similar/same parts. I must say I would not recommend an LG product to anyone and I would never purchase an LG ever again. They are pieces of junk, in our opinion. Another complaint about how cheaply made these things are, the side shelves and the middle sliding shelves keep falling off as they are poorly made and poorly designed. A total piece of junk. Very disappointed in this product. Very deceiving as it looks great sitting there in the store all nice and shiny, but internally its crap. To be perfectly honest, next time were just going to go with an inexpensive brand and if we get 3 years out of it before it breaks down, great, then well toss it. But I wont feel so bad because I wont be splurging money like I did on an overpriced piece of junk like LG.

Purchased LG fridge LFC22770 in 6-2014. Two months ago food began to defrost in freezer. Called their service. The touted built-in diagnostic signal did not transmit a code. Was given phone number, after a 45 min. wait, to a TV repair business. What a joke. This morning we smelled burning electrical odor. My husband removed back cover and sparks were shooting out and wires had already melted. Imagine if we had gone to work or been on vacation?! Total hazard. Could have easily ignited cabinets next to and above unit. What if this had happened while we were asleep! The nightmare of the repair or replacement still awaits us as this is Saturday.

We purchased this fridge in 2010, to the tune of $2,500-. We have had so many issues with it that we are now on our 3rd replacement model. Fortunately, I bought the 5 yr warranty with the store. This last fridge, LG would only cover the pro rated portion remaining, so the warranty company covered the difference. And I had to pay another $500- for another 5 year warranty. So this many years later (6), and the latest fridge delivered a year ago, almost to the day, the repairman is on his way, for the second time in a month, because the ice maker wont make ice. We purchased Model LFXS30726S in late 2015. About a month ago we came home to find water all over the floor and the fridge had stopped being cold. I called LG the following day as it appeared that we had a compressor stop working and cooling the fridge. The compressor has a 10 Year Warranty on it, and LG has had known issues with this particular compressor that they used then because there is a class action lawsuit about it. Anyways, I call LG the next day and they tell me that it will be 15 days...YES over 2 weeks before someone can come even look at the fridge!! Not repair it, just look at it and order parts. Parts were going to be an additional 3-4 days I was told. I said that was unacceptable to go without our fridge with a family of 5 living here. At this point she offered no more options that were suitable to our needs so I moved on and made a few phone calls myself. I fortunately spoke to a great repair company in Denver that said they repair 3-4 compressors on LG fridges a day and that they have the parts needed to complete the job and could be here in 2 days to fix it. So I have the refrigerator repaired and it works fantastically, I call LG to file a warranty claim to at least recover the cost of the parts, and maybe a little labor if possible. LG tells me Theres nothing they can do!. Since they didnt order the work through their network of repair companies, then they wont pay for anything.Seriously!?!? You have to be kidding me?? I was going to have to wait almost 3 weeks to get my fridge repaired through LG, which is completely unacceptable, or else they wont buck up $1000 for the repairs. They have basically told me to go pound sand every time Ive spoken to them.MY ADVISE NOW - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG...EVER!!! There are plenty of competitors with as good, if not better products in the market who will make things right. LG is not concerned about doing the right thing as a company. LG is only concerned that their big corporation gets to keep a $1000 instead of making a customer whole by doing the right thing.

Never buy this headache. As you will see from the previous reviews, the refrigerator stops cooling within 3 years and customer service is terrible. Its been a year, several service men come and it doesnt get fixed. Customer service is always reassuring you that they will escalate the issue but soon you are forgotten - no return call. During the winter the fridge started to do the opposite: freeze everything so we had to turn if off for periods. Now it makes a loud motor sound and, still, we have not heard back from customer service after two letters. I have been given the runaround so long that I am considering a filing a case. Dont be fooled by the concerned response this review will get, they will eventually ignore you. They deserve to be sued for their faulty product; their non-existent customer service and refusal to honor their warranties. Never, ever buy this fridge - what a lemon.

I purchased 4 of the LG Studio line for my new kitchen. Gas Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, and refrigerator. 1st use of Dishwasher and it did not clean. Then the items I left in for the next wash, grew BLACK MOLD. There is always moisture in the dishwasher, even day after running it, and I have to leave the door ajar to help it dry. If I shut the door, BLACK MOLD grows. The microwave turntable rattles so loud it can be heard over the normal microwave sounds. The gas stove is often unresponsive. The buttons on the front do not always work and I have had to pull it out from the wall to unplug it and plug it back in to get them to work. It is very random and I have not been able to figure out a pattern of use that causes it to malfunction.I put in 3 service requests to have these repaired. Im entering the 3rd month and they STILL have not been to my home. LG sent this to a 3rd party Vendor AE FACTORY. They have left partial emails telling me to call them and then they do NOT answer their phone. I have spent even more time contacting LG Customer Service, who has done nothing to help. LDG4313ST Gas Range - Since buying this range in December we have had 3 major problems. 1. Finish on bottom panel peeling off. 2. Convection oven making a loud noise, spewing soot, and setting off our carbon monoxide alarm. 3. Oven temperature varies hugely. I contacted LG the first time letting them know I read the owners manual I was given and saw nothing about foil placed on the bottom to catch drips. I make an apple pie during the holidays and for years I have always put foil on the bottom of whatever range I was using to catch the drips. Never had a problem before. Got a form letter saying that though placing foil on the bottom was a common practice that in THEIR ranges you could not. I further investigated their manual and found something in troubleshooting about it. By then, it was too late. The form letter gave no information about how to get a replacement panel. Poor customer service number one.The first time I tried to use the convection oven it smelled weird and then set off the carbon monoxide detector. I found soot on the front glass door. I entered another complaint. This time they sent out a service person. He called them and turns out this is a known problem. The oxygen/gas mix is too rich. So we have been waiting for over a month for the mod. I call appliance company. They say its back ordered with no known date for coming in. I also have them order the base panel. They got the part number. 50 bucks. Irked me, but figured at that point it wasnt that much, I would pay for it.After a long 40 minutes on hold to get to customer service at LG I was first told the mod was back ordered. Then I was told that it was the base plate that was back ordered and they could get the mod part within 3 or 4 days. I said, Fine, fix the dang convection oven so I can use it. Even though there are only 2 screws to install, they say base plate must be put in by a tech. They confirm they wont pay for it, even though we have been waiting a month to even get any news about parts.THEN, this weekend I attempted to bake a cake. I have noticed some issues with cookies, but managed. The cake rose as it should in the middle and then fell by the time I looked again. I checked the temperature and according to the panel, (I shut off and then turned back on to see what temp it thought it was) it was down to 250 when I had it set at 350!!! What the heck!!! I then checked the complaints on LG stoves and many people have problems with widely varying temperatures. LG has refused to allow techs to replace the control boards saying this is how they operate!!! They have come up with lots of excuses with customers. At this point, I have no intention of calling them back. I am copying all the complaints about their ranges and going to see if I can get Home Depot to take it back. Its a piece of junk. If they wont take it back, then I will start with LG. I want a refund. I do NOT want another stove from them. I will never again buy another LG product. They have awful customer service and dont seem to give a crap about the fact their products dont perform as they should. One positive note. The melting knob problem is fixed on this model. Only if the ranges worked.

We purchased a top-loading direct drive LG washing machine at Best Buy a few years ago. From the beginning it has not been a good experience. The steam function never works and it crashes 1/2 way through the cycle EVERY time... and we then have to empty the machine and start over again. Add to this that the regular cycle does not fill with anything close to enough water, and the result is consistently dirty clothes and/or soap that dries inside the machine. And we cant even think about a load larger than about 6 or 7 large towels... as it overloads and tilts so we then have to drain the water and remove 1/2 of the load. If we had known how terrible this machine was going to be, we would have bought ANYTHING else. Do yourself a favor and avoid LG washing machines! We wrote to the company 2 times over the last few years and our letters are ignored. They do not seem to care about their customers.

It was wonderful until last week when it flashed UE to indicate an uneven load, but would not unlock the lid so we could rearrange the clothes. I unplugged it to try to reset it and when I plugged it in again it was completely dead and the clothes were still locked inside with a lot of water. The repairman from Sears (where we bought it) said it needed a new control board and the cost of the repair would be $661. We can buy a new machine for not much more so we declined. I fought with the repair company, and they came out again the next day and repaired it again. Same thing - no fridge - no freezer. Unbelievable. The repair person told me he did not think it could be repaired - this was two weeks ago. I called LG, and they want the repair person to try to repair it AGAIN. LG also told me it was not their responsibility to replace the fridge - just repair it. Unbelievable - going on three weeks with no fridge over Christmas. AVOID buying any LG fridge. It started when we got back from a family vacation in mid July 2018. We have owned our LG refrigerator for 3 years and we are a family of 7. Upon our return from vacation, we went grocery shopping. The very next day our refrigerator failed and all of our food was spoiled. We had spent hundreds of dollars at Costco and other grocery stores. Home Depot Protection Plan sent out a company to diagnose the issue. Once they diagnosed the problem, they said they couldnt fix our refrigerator. We had to make another appointment but this time with an LG specialist, which took another week to schedule. When they showed up we expected them to fix our fridge, but instead they had to diagnose and said they could not go off the previous companys diagnoses. Although, both companies said the refrigerators compressor went out. We were then told the part was on back order due to these refrigerators breaking down from LG. The part didnt come in until September. Once the new compressor was installed we were assured within 48 hours we could use it again. Again we went shopping and and lost all of our food again. Once we got the company back out, they said it was a faulty compressor and they would have to order us a new one.We have now had 2 food loss claims and 2 compressors replaced. Again, being assured the fridge would work, we bought more food. This time we realized the fridge was making weird noises and the freezer was not keeping our food frozen. After several more calls and several more service calls, our freezer is still not working properly 9 months later. Each time a new guy shows up telling us something new as to why this was happening. We have complied with everything they have asked us to do. We now have our fridge pulled out a foot away from the wall, which is a complete eye sore, and it is still not working properly. We have had over 9 calls to the Home Depot Protection Plan company for the same issue and they are still not calling it a lemon! We recently had another appointment on March 15th, 2019 for a final diagnosis, and the company never showed up! We are throwing away so much food which is a waste of our time and money. My family and I are scared to buy a lot of food because we are afraid the LG refrigerator is going to break down again. Our plan states after 2 calls for the same issue it is considered a lemon and it would be a Buy Out. We have had enough of this run around!

Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times. The first time, LG repaired within the first year. Second time occurred three weeks ago. The warranty company contracted a local appliance repair company to come out. They came out and diagnosed the issue, then said they needed to order a new compressor and should take three to five days. On day three, I call the company to find out status of compressor. They indicate it had not yet arrived. I call every day after that for another week and could not get anyone to answer the phone. My wife and I are both professionals and do not have time to deal with a fridge company. On day eleven or so, I file a complaint on Better Business Bureau website. Less than twenty minutes later, I get a call. Company comes out to install the new compressor a day later. Repair guy says it is fixed and leaves. Later that day, I again noticed the fridge was not working. Fridge is still broken!!! Now another lost work day and more time on the phone and internet wasting my time dealing with a terrible LG Product! There has to be legal recourse with so many complaints. I bet the majority of us have the same model. LG needs to be held accountable for selling a $2500 piece of junk!

We purchased this product from a big box store around 2007. The ice maker failed after 4 years and flooded our kitchen. I was disappointed in LGs response, and elected to not replace the icemaker due to out of pocket cost and fear of future failure. I figured Id keep the refrigerator anyway, since it was relatively expensive. This past weekend, I went into the kitchen in the morning and smelled burning plastic. I opened the fridge only to find that the temperature control and lights had melted to the point of dropping from the ceiling of the fridge. It was hot inside the fridge to the point where the butter had melted and dripped out of the compartment and down the door. There were visible scorch/melting marks on the light compartment. I think if I had not been home this weekend, it would likely have caught fire. I think this fridge is a fire hazard, and caution anyone with this unit.Being a consumer who doesnt want to waste money, I wanted to rig the machine so that its not a total waste. I screwed the control panel back into the ceiling, and replaced the bulbs with low wattage (and low temperature) LED lights. It seems to be okay for now. I will be replacing this fridge in the near future, and will not buy another LG product.

My husband and I bought one of our first brand new appliances last April when we purchased our first home. It was an LG dishwasher and let me just start off by saying that it is the worst appliance I have ever used, which is completely disappointing. Out of all of the machines I have used in my life this one wins the prize of worst dishwasher. First of all, when I am busy cleaning the kitchen I have got to remember to pull out the bottom rack slowly and carefully, otherwise it will just fall off the track. To say there is a track though isnt really accurate. It seems like LG just decided to throw some wheels on the rack and call it a day. Dont get me wrong, I dont come in like a raging bull and just throw everything open. I just dont think it should have to be in my mind to remember to open slowly so things dont get all thrown off. Its very annoying.Another issue I have is that the dishwasher doesnt clean! The normal cycle will not clean my dishes. I have to use the heavy duty option in order for them to come out even a little clean. I have always rinsed my dishes before putting them in any dishwasher I have ever used, but this one requires my dishes to be put in completely spot free. If they are not spot free, they do not come out clean. It really is almost pointless to even use our LG dishwasher. Last but not least, the soap dispenser gets stuck quite often! I run the dishwasher on the heavy duty cycle for almost 3 hours, and find out the soap dispenser didnt even open! We bought our machine from Home Depot in Pontiac, MI and cant imagine buying another LG appliance. We were excited to have our first new appliance but were let down. Lifes good but LG dishwashers are not.

For a long time we had a Maytag dryer and loved it but when it finally died we decided to get an LG dryer to match our LG washer which we have had no issues with. We purchased the dryer from Home Depot and since it was brand new it has melted MANY items, mostly coats and blankets. I have wasted tons of money replacing damaged items and and scared it will result in a fire. At first I just thought it was because the dryer was fancier than I was used to and I needed to learn how to used its technology but after learning the ins and outs it has continued to happen time and time again. Now I just air dry a lot of items to avoid them burning and melting which is a huge pain. It even has melted several infant Muslin blankets which is not what I would consider a material sensitive to heat. I’ve honestly just been avoiding contacting customer service knowing it will just be a hassle but I am beyond frustrated and after looking up see there is a class action lawsuit for LG dryers catching fire so I plan to contact them ASAP to get resolution. In the future I will go back to my tried and true Maytag.

I reported a range/oven from the time the oven was turned on. The staff at LG that takes complaints and concerns told me to send pictures of the warped oven. However, several attempts to get some type of follow through and repair was unsuccessful. The oven condition showed that it had been defective when the range was manufactured. Gus from LG did not return phone calls after the pictures were sent by mail and then faxed. To this date, I have not heard anything back from the company. This incident will determine what purchases I make in the future.

Clothes come out dirtier than when they go in! I have the problem that many others have: ashy-colored residue on black/dark clothing. Today, Im now getting ashy-colored stains on my white clothing. Ive not been able to figure out if this happens after washing dark clothes, white clothes, hot, cold, or ??? Ive not been able to discern out a pattern for it. So far, I cant avoid it. Ive read the reviews and LG comes back and asks for private messages instead of making solutions public. How do I contact LG so they can give me the washing experience they want me to receive?

I have three LG appliances and I have major problem with all.My microwave shelf makes contact with the oven wall because of too much play with shelf brackets and because the shelf should be smaller that what it is. It burned a line through to the metal and arced sparks. I wrote to the company service on the LG website but they did not reply. Today I called LG. The company representative said that it was no longer covered with warranty. I stressed that it was a safety issue and a design flaw. I switched to a supervisor who did not budge from that stand. I explained that it has been that way since day one but I had been very careful, that I always pull the shelf to the most forward position. Of course, as it should be safe for everyone. She said that she could have someone repair it at my expense. I said this was not acceptable. She then said I should buy microwave paint at the hardware store to fix the oven before using it again and not to operate it in the future with the shelf in, some solution! She also said the manual explains when to remove the shelf. I asked if it says never to use the shelf since that would be the only way to avoid the problem. She acknowledged that it did not. I reminded her of the light relay fire issue that they had with their refrigerators and that LG avoided the responsibility for that for about 4 years. Online reports made it clear that they only started to cover the repair recently on the 2005 models. I also made note of the problem with the leaking of the water through the seam between the two panels on the front of the dishwasher. She noted my problem but again, she said that it was off the warranty, but that she would send someone to my home to repair it at my expense. Again, this problem exists since day one. Someone needs to make these people responsible for their products. The refrigerator incident could have burnt my house down. Heaven knows what damage the toxic fumes from the microwave could cause.

I too have had the exact same problems that Karen of Fort Wright posted on Oct. 22, 2012. I also bought my LG French door refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago from Sears. I was planning to purchase a Kenmore, but i would have to wait almost 2 weeks which I couldnt do. The salesman talked me into getting the LG model (August 2009). After 14 months of use, the fridge stopped working (October 2010)! I didnt purchase the extended warranty (never have found them worth paying for as I have never needed to use one). Needless to say, I contacted Sears for repair. The repairman diagnosed a blown fuse, which meant replacing the circuit board also. Repair was approximately $300.00 in all. The fridge has been working fine until yesterday, Dec. 21, 2012! Of course because it is only 5 days before Christmas, we were fully stocked up and expecting a houseful of company on the 25th! We had to empty everything out! Run all of this food out to the garage, wipe the fridge down so it doesnt smell and hope the authorized repairman can stop by sometime Christmas eve. He is only working a half day, but I will try to make it. Talk about pressure! This is just terrible, terrible timing. A terrible waste of money and a terrible product! Save your self the headache and do not purchase LG! Not only expensive to repair (with or without the warranty), but extremely frustrating!

I actually LOVE my LG Tromm Washer and Dryer and have had very good luck with the company. Im responding because Ive seen numerous complaints about clothes and towels smelly moldy. I too had this problem with bath towels. Its not the fault of the washer, but rather it is using too much detergent and/or not using HE detergent.Heres what you need to do to get rid of the smell, but it will require two cycles: 1) Wash items with 1 cup of vinegar and no detergent. Add vinegar directly to load not the dispenser; and 2) Wash items again using 1 cup of baking soda and no detergent adding it to the load not dispenser. Wash items on the hottest setting possible. The moldy smell should be gone. From here on out ensure that youre using HE detergent and use the absolute bare minimum as HE detergent is highly concentrated. Any residue left on clothing or towels will act as a binding agent, hence the moldy smells. Good luck!

I would never buy this type of range again. The large burners are in the front, where one would place a large stock pot. It is very dangerous to have such a large pot positioned in front. You have to reach over it to get to the smaller pots. Its very dangerous. The reason I bought this range was because it matches the refrigerator. It looks good, but it is difficult to use. I can manage it, because it is just my husband and myself. If I had a young family, I would get rid of it (even though it is new). It could become a hazard with small children around. They could easily pull a large pot over on them. I am constantly vigilant when I am cooking on it and worried I will tip the front pots over on myself. Its not a pleasure to cook anymore!

In the past 4 months I have had 2 of the 4 LG products I own go out or have issues. Attempting to get these products repaired or service which are under warranty is difficult. LG does not have enough service techs to cover their area of service. Which causes for extend wait and service times. Which is fine if one of your devices is a TV. Though I had a fridge go out and for the issue to total get resolved took 3+ weeks, which end with me purchasing a new fridge not made by LG.

I had heard that LG products were reliable and we considered that when we bought our black stainless fridge and we’re really happy with that color. We used that for the other appliances that we have so it’s kind of a styling issue for us.

After being told that this washer was the most top-rated, we decided to make the move to this HE machine to save water. It has the clear top, so we were suspicious from the start with the minimal activity and agitation seen with the impeller system versus our old machine, plus it appeared that some clothes werent even getting wet! But the information we had read told us that all of this was normal. We were shocked at the 1:47 hours to complete a load, but again, we were able to wash twice as much in one load. BUT, a load of heavily soiled Levis from gardening, which would have been no problem with our old machine, came out filthy, even using the Heavy-duty cycle with extra water! TWICE!! This really is not acceptable, but we dont have a lot of faith in trying any other HE machine now either. We are reading bad reviews on pretty much all of them!

Freezer and Fridge section stopped maintaining temperature. Called to get a smart diagnostic but after describing the symptoms, skipped the diagnostic and went straight to need a technician. Thursday morning phone call results is an appointment for Wednesday. I understand that the times are challenging but a week seems a little extreme for a service appointment. The $3000.00 refrigerator was purchased on 4/15/18. The good news it is under warranty and may only have to pay for labor.

Love this washer. Doesnt require nearly the soap or water my last washer did and it can wash a pretty large load. Depending on the setting it can take awhile, but the usual load on normal settings takes about an hour. No complaints here other than I wish it came with a booklet that described the settings. I bought a floor model so it could just be missing.
