I chose LG because of the price and because it was a brand that I knew so thought I wouldnt be disappointed and they were offering delivery which was a plus. The room it provided I could fit a lot of stuff in there and the freezer was also very roomy which is rare unless its the fridge area is smaller which we buy more freezer food the fridge so it was a good thing. But the refrigerator opened a weird way to where it blocked a entry way and didnt fit into the spot originally provided because it was too tall but late at night it would make this noise which was weird. I feel it should have been quieter.

After much research my husband and I purchased a washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, and dishwasher. After about eight months my ice machine stopped working, replaced for $385. Motor on dishwasher ceased replaced. Strip on fridge cracked and dishwasher has many pieces on the side that need to be glued. We are VERY disappointed with these appliances and would NEVER recommend LG to anyone. So much for researching Life is Not good with LG.

I had a Samsung refrigerator for about 4 years before it went bad and could not be repaired. I bought a LG and I am very pleased with it. I havent had any problem so far for three years. It runs smoothly and No ice problems. The filter is very easy to remove and replace. I would recommend the LG refrigerator.

I am very satisfied overall with my washing machine features and performance. The only thing that I would like to change is the seal and all around the crevices has to be wiped dry after every load otherwise it starts to smell moldy and so do the clothes afterwards, so then I have to clean and deodorize the machine every so often.

I purchased an LG Washing machine 5 years ago. It had a few problems, leaked and the rubber seal on the door always came out after the wire that held it in place rusted (after 2 years). The final straw was after 5 years I had to call for service and after 3 days the LG serviceman finally arrived. Took my washer away after giving me a reasonable quote. The next day LG called to tell me that they did not have the parts for my 5-year-old Washer. So I was forced to buy a new machine. I would expect that a washing machine should last much longer than 5 years and if it needs service that the parts would be available. I will never buy anything else from LG again.

Many years ago I purchased an LG washer and dryer. I was so happy with their quality that when I was ready to purchase new appliances for my kitchen I didnt consider any other brand. I saved my money for over a year and was proud to purchase matching fridge, stove, and dishwasher in black stainless steel almost 2 years ago. My new appliances were wonderful until a month ago when the finish started flaking off and before you say it is my fault, no I do not use abrasive cleaners on the finish. The stove started first, where the handle meets the door and now the fridge is doing the same. I am now embarrassed to have these in my kitchen. I emailed my complaint to LG and the response was very complacent, they really didnt seem to care. I will never buy LG anything, ever.

I bought my refrigerator in 2017 and sure enough within 3 years it stopped working. I cant believe LG knew about the bad compressor and all the issues. If I would have known I would not have bought the whole kitchen set and washer and dryer... I called lg and was on hold for a hour and could not understand the lady I was speaking with and she was very rude. She didnt explain much so I called back and the second lady was more helpful.. I lost all my food. Not sure how long it will take to fix or if they will replace my food, not good customer service. Just not happy at all with LG. Wont be buying again..

LG Washer Model #WT5101HV - I paid $1,184.22 to HOME DEPOT for a terrible product. Just after the warranty ran out, the machine started to leak. The repairman has been here several times but cant find the leak. This leak is ruining my floor. Also if you try to wash 2 towels and 2 sheets together, it practically bounces across the floor. I wrote the head of LG for Canada, William Cho, but have not had any reply. Obviously customer service is not a priority for the President of LG Canada. HOME DEPOT, PLEASE STOP CARRYING LG PRODUCTS.

Current elapsed time of this issue is now 1 and 1/2 months. The LG refrigerator (LFXC24726S/02) stopped working on April 27, 2018. The refrigerator is still under warranty. I bought a kitchen suite of 4 appliances through Costco which included the refrigerator. LG did not want to honor the warranty at first. After several calls they sent a technician who determined it was a defective compressor. 2 weeks elapsed and neither LG nor I heard from him again. After several calls to LG a second technician came and also determined it was a defective compressor. He ordered the compressor. He finally came to our house but refused to install the compressor because LG had not paid him for previous service calls and demanded payment for his services upfront. He was rude and discourteous. He said LG failed to provide him with the info to process the repair. He did not want to talk to the LG customer service either. I was able to get him the info so he could proceed. He installed the compressor under duress. He left right away. The repair to the refrigerator failed.I had contacted Costco and Costco and LG have been going back and forth to make a final determination to provide a refund. There is still no determination. I have kept notes of the ineptitude of LG, its customer service, its repair services and its unwilling to fulfill the obligations of the warranty. I have spent countless hours trying to find a resolution. I have been without a refrigerator and have lost food to spoilage. I am not happy that Costco is also unable to leverage LG to address the issue. I am being neglected and not responded to because of LGs lack of care toward its customers. It is further distressing that a company can flat out not fulfill the warranty obligations of its products.

The refrigerator has a bio shield, it contains liner inverter compressor, it also has a temp. control process, and other cool features like multi air flow, tempered glass shelf. Its much electricity consuming. Though it has some really cool features but I dislike that one most among all. A great portion of my electricity bill increased. The drum spun off its base when in the spin cycle . It was only filled with intimate clothing . It slammed into the inside front panel of the washer with me standing in front of the machine. I called LG and they want proof of purchase..Which we have...Then they will review..then they will decide if it meets criteria for repair....then they will find a service person....then they will schedule an appointment for repair on a washer that they knew was on recall all along! Maybe 5 to 10 days later! I have a family of 6...one trip to the laundry mat is 50.00 to 80.00 depending on blankets with urine etc. In 10 days we will be out the cost of a washer. What kind of help is that! At home depot we paid 1945.00 for the washer and dryer set on 12/08/11. That is the type of customer service you receive from LG for your dollars...so BADDDDD! DONT DO IT!

I had another company come out and after twice coming out, they had to replace our compressor which was under warranty but not the labor. Now here it is, March 14, 2012 and I went to get meat out of the freezer and it is soft and my ice cubes are very watery. What a piece of junk this is! And the rest of our appliances are LG! I am very upset and very frustrated! I bought a full suite of LG kitchen appliances just over 2 years ago from HHGregg and invested in a 5 year (HHGregg premium) warranty to cover all of the appliances. In just 2 short years I am having trouble with all of my appliances and am currently waiting on a service call from HHGregg (whom I will never buy appliances from ever again). Found out today that the HHGregg warranty is not as good as the paper on which it is written! One complaint is the LG microwave oven. It stopped working (the plate will no longer rotate and will not heat up). Apparently, there is a default in the design of the LG microwave ovens that fit over the stove. The heat from the stove causes the microwave system to stop working. LG and HHGregg should replace my malfunctioned microwave oven with one without this flaw! No LG told me to contact HHGregg! HHGregg offered me only a 200.00 store credit! This cost does not replace my microwave! I feel robbed by LG and by HHGregg! Shame on both these companies!!!

I am so disappointed in my new LG (Model LDT 7808 ST) dishwasher purchased early April 2021. I guess I missed the statement in the manual Hybrid Drying System: This efficient drying system does not use a heating element during the drying process... Guess what? The translation of that is: This dryer does not dry AT ALL. Everything is wet. And there is a cycle called Extra Dry and thats quite funny because it doesnt dry at all either so why have it? The only suggestion from LG? Make sure your rinse aid is filled. A dishwasher that has no drying ability except air dry is not my idea of a product I want. I will not be keeping this dishwasher and I will not be buying another hybrid drying system dishwasher from anyone. If Im going to have to dry my own dishes I might as well wash them too.

I use softener drying sheets and my clothes smells like mold. My husband hates the smell especially in the towels! I would never recommend a front loader and definitely not an LG brand. I had the worst customer service. Im ready just to take a big loss on this machine. The water pump went out, just 3 months after my service contract had ended figures! We purchased brand new LG washer and dryer. After install on the very first wash cycle I heard an unusual sound only to find water pouring over our entire newly remodeled laundry room. The washer had a cracked hose in the internal compartment. We have spent many hours and many attempts to resolve this issue with LG. They have been very difficult to work with. Service people do not want to repair their machines so we are on week three with no ability to wash clothes after purchase of a new washer. LG has refused to replace the machine even though it was defective from the start. Save your time and especially money and DO NOT purchase from LG!!! I could not say it enough. They should not be in business as they do not know how to manage issues after purchase. Furthermore, they do not have a product worth purchasing.

I trust this brand and I had other products of LG like cooking appliances, microwave ovens, dishwashers in past and always had positive experience about LG products. Cool innovations like space-saving features, eye-catching style and energy efficiency, love the alarm feature, the room for storage and the bottom drawer freezer. Everything worked well except the ice maker. The ice maker clogs frequently and has to be manually emptied or pounded from inside the door to release ice from the door ice dispenser. I purchased my LG #LTCS20220S in Feb. 2015. From the start I had some difficulty with the temp. settings and still do. However, I noticed when I close the refrigerator door that the freezer door pops open. Initially thought this might be causing fluctuations in the freezer because of all the freezer burn Ive been getting on my foods. (The temp. setting is at the lowest setting). It took me a long time to find the correct refrigerator temp setting so food does not spoil. At the lowest freezer setting I am still getting freezer burn on everything that goes in the freezer, including stuff that I repackage in freezer bags or containers (at the advice of LG service rep). What this means is I cannot buy food at the grocery store, like meat, in its original packaging, and just put it in the freezer. In a week, the freezer burns is starting to show up. Ive never had this before with any refrigerator/freezer I have ever owned and Im 64! I have called LG customer service many times. They have sent 2 different service techs out to my house. Everyone tells me nothing can be done, its the design. LG tells me the service techs have to say UNIT IS UNREPAIRABLE before they can file a claim and help me. Its all about the wording used on the service from so beware of that. IF the service tech leaves your house make sure he marks its Unrepairable or nothing will happen! I am going in circles with LG. I am throwing food out like crazy. I am so fed up with this issue that I want to just put this thing out on the curb with a free sign on it! I am still in limbo on this and waiting for a call back which I may never get. Its just not worth it. Nobody at LG is going to be on your side. They make me feel like its my fault! I cant imagine the President of LG repackaging his food before he puts it in his freezer EVERY SINGLE TIME! Like I am doing! Do yourself a favor and support the small appliance store where the customer counts. This is ridiculous and quite a waste of time and money. If I get good service, Ill re-write this review. But as of today, I am not.

LG sent me a different blade which wasnt even the right one. Had to wait another week to get a new blade sent. Now the machine will not preheat. Does not show an error message. Customer care is anxious to help you out by charging you $380.00 and a wait of 2 weeks to repair. I have a family of 4 and without a stove its hard to cook food. Please do not buy the LG 400+ ltr double door refrigerator even if it is given free. In a bargain hunting, I purchased a double door digital control LG 420 ltr refrigerator and it was buying a huge pain and trouble for me and my family. With almost Rs. 51,000/- paid through my nose the refrigerator is a horrible experience from the month I purchased. The computer chip got burnt out in 13th month and replaced at my cost of Rs. 4300/-, the compressor had to be replaced in 14th month. Compressor again replaced in 17th month. Even after 2 repairs at my cost the compressor makes heavy noise and the customer support has not been able to set it right even after making payments for service. The quality of the refrigerator is completely below par and in an attempt to cut cost the LG has severely compromised on quality. The customer support is horribly bad and an opaque management. You dare it and make any attempt and you do not get a caring attention. Just rhetoric and evading answers. I have lost thousands of rupees worth goods due to the machine abruptly stopping in the middle of the hot summer. I now seriously repent having purchased this refrigerator to save some Rs. 2000/- against its competitor and today hove lost more than Rs.10,000/- in repair and maintenance in just less than 2 years. Add to this the constant tension of the machine going off when we are out on a holiday, it have never been peace of mind ever since we purchased this refrigerator. Contact me at ** to hear my pains and wish none of you go through such horrible experience. Please do not look at LG refrigerator if you love your peace of mind. Even today if you want to see the problem of high noise compressor, please call and visit us. I only wish that no one elses hard earned money should be wasted in buying a bad product of LG double door digital control refrigerator.

Update : To their credit LG responded by sending out service technicians twice to resolve the problem, both gentlemen were very professional, timely and worked to resolve the issue. On the first visit the circulating fan motor was changed - but this unfortunately did not resolve the issue. On the second visit while disconnecting and reconnecting the wiring at the back of the oven, the problem was resolved (no parts changed). The oven works fine now and the issue is resolved.I would have given this an even higher star rating - except during the repair process it was confirmed that there really are no control board parts available for this particular oven (only newer models of it) - so if the controller board ever goes wrong I will be out of luck.

What a HORRIBLE company. My refrigerator compressor went out after only 3 years. We have an extended warranty. They failed to show for the service appt, did not notify me via the text chain they CONFIRMED from, called from a FRAUDULENT NUMBER and then said THE CUSTOMER was unavailable? I called that day and rescheduled for 2 days later. They still did not show up. I called and they said they closed the claim because they NEVER HEARD FROM ME after the first appt???? Yes. they did (in fact their EXECUTIVE SUPPORT LINE HEARD FROM ME) and they told me my rescheduled day and time was today 8-12. At this point, they said it was going to be ANOTHER WEEK?! Why NO PRIORITY when THEY caused these delays?? Finally agreed to allow for and outside service provider to come out. I called him immediately and he was amazing. He was there within 30 min to assess the situation. Between him coming and 2 hours later, I got a NEW case number with a NEW service provider (which I didnt need or ask for) and they CANCELLED THE TICKET HE WAS WORKING FROM!!!! Now he cant order parts for me, and they expect me to sit home ALL DAY tomorrow to wait for another technician to come out?? I have never experienced a worse customer service situation in my life. I will never buy anything LG again and will definitely be spreading my story anywhere I can. Still no fridge, lost all of our food and no resolution or ounce of compassion from this company. I remodeled my house and brought 4 LG products. Microwave for over the range, sitting in my living room, home alone and heard a noise. I go into the kitchen to find the handle of the microwave on the floor, repairman man said it was cracked. Microwave was 1 month old. Dishwasher 2 mo. old, the latch cracked and had to be replaced. Range, oven door almost fell off, missing 2 screws. The best for last, my horror story of the French door fridge, needed twice to replace the motherboard (I think it came from China?), the freezer door did not lock well, escaping cold air, the ice maker had to be replaced. I had put hardwood all thru the house including the kitchen. I now have some leak coming from the bottom of the fridge, it is now ruining my hardwood. The appliance man will be out this Tuesday. All appliances were purchased the same day and 3 out of 4 had issues within the first month. I was looking to see if there were any recalls or class actions suits. These product in my case were just terrible, even the stainless steel has an issue. I put my old Amana fridge in the garage, mine is about 20 years old and still works like a charm. I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT, life is good my foot. Had to take off work numerous times to have items fixed. I think I goofed and purchased LG instead of GE, mapping the price.

The ice maker began leaking soon after we purchased our LG refrigerator. The company sent out a repairman, who replaced the ice maker, but said that because of a design flaw, it would leak again. They give customers like me the runaround, hoping we will give up. I would not recommend an LG product to anyone as I am extremely dissatisfied.

My washer quit before completing its cycle. When I opened it to unload my laundry, it was still full of water. I closed the door and pressed the rinse/spin button. But it stopped again before completion, and the same thing again. This time I couldnt even open the door. Nothing seemed to work. Finally, after pushing buttons, it went completely through the rinse/spin cycle. I dont want to call La Mesa Appliance who is a factory approved service for LG, because I called them some months ago when the softener cup held water after the washer had completed its cycle. The repairman said this was normal, but it hadnt done this before, so I dont believe that. Meanwhile, I pull the drawer out and empty it after each wash. Im unsure whom to call for repairs.

Did research when we built our new home on 2014 for a new washer and dryer... LG reviews seemed good. We were dead wrong. We have a top loading washer and matching dryer. This washer is ridiculous beyond compare. Clothes never seem clean, but the worst part is it is constantly unbalancing and using up tons of power and water. LG support said nothing they can do... WHAT??? The dryer, I have yet to have ONE SINGLE LOAD completely dry my clothes without having to restart it at least an additional cycle. I cant believe LG gets away with making a product so lame. STAY FAR, FAR, FAR AWAY!!! No stars is what their products deserve.

One of the dangerous times was when I woke up in the middle of the night smelling gas. The knob on the stove for the burner had turned on slightly without my knowledge. The whole house was filled with gas. This happens frequently but I am normally aware of it when it happens. Any time I lean against the stove or I am trying to clean it, the knobs turn on. This would be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WITH PETS OR SMALL CHILDREN.

We have had the washer and dryer several years. Both units give the worse performance of any washer - dryer combo we have ever owned. The washer has three issues; one, it does not get the clothes clean; two, if you run a load with bleach you have to run an empty load to clean all of the bleach out; three, after every wash you must wipe the door ring out to prevent any odor. The dryer has two issues; one, it does not dry clothes well; two, More lint goes outside than the lint screen catches (we had representative over to look at it and he stated that this is just the way it is with the new dryers). The Customer support responses treat us like children when we get a response. Bottom line, we despise the units and do not recommend to any of our friends.

We purchased a fridge from future shop in Dec. Deli drawer did not close properly. Technician sent to our house small adjustment made - within 2 days problem was back. Technician returned, could not fix but broke full panel of glass in the fridge. So now drawer does not close properly and there is no shelf. Apparently parts were ordered. Called LG to discuss replacing unit, got escalated to an idiot name Garret who was useless and would not give his managers name. Apparently his name is Kuzi. He does not have a last name or a phone number - its all confidential - not really sure what LG is paying him for if he is the escalation they have for customers. Worst I have ever dealt with. Please do not buy their product.

I purchased a top of the line three thousand dollar plus refrigerator in February 2014. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. All of the lights work and all of the lights, indicator lights on the door panel work as well. I was away for the day and arrived home late in the evening so I did not go into or look at the refrigerator. The following morning, I noticed water dripping from the water and ice dispenser only to realize that everything in the refrigerator and the freezer defrosted and reach temperatures causing everything to spoil. I immediately contacted LG and they ran an over the phone diagnostic only to tell me that the unit was not operating properly. I could have told them that. When I said that I live in Arizona in a rural area and need emergency assistance, they stated they could not get anyone out to be for the next 4 to 5 days. How am I supposed to live without a refrigerator? They also told me that they hold no responsibility for all of the ruined food. This unit is still under warranty but that does help my situation as their commitment to service in unacceptable. When I went to purchase this top of the line unit, I was told by some folks not to buy an LG refrigerator as two separate folks stated they own LG fridge and have had nothing but problems. When I researched the reviews on this fridge, it received high marks. Taking that into consideration and the fact that the two folks who had problems with their units had them for over two years, I figured that LG made the necessary improvements to their refrigerator so I went ahead with the purchase. In summary: I will never again buy any LG product. I will never recommend an LG product and I will inform whom ever I know to stay away from LG no matter what the reviews state as I am not confident that they are authentic.

We bought our LG refrigerator 12 years ago and it has been a source of aggravation ever since. It has had to be worked on numerous times. Leaks water from the ice maker and now makes crazy suction noise. We have our Whirlpool refrigerator in the garage, nearly 25 years old and has not had one problem. All I can saw is DON’T BUY LG or be prepared for lots of problems. I am afraid with this latest noise that it could catch fire! We will have to buy a new refrigerator soon because we can’t live with this constant aggravation, Even though we paid more for it than any refrigerator we have ever had!!!

You have to clean out the little holes at the bottom of the gray piece. It holds lint. The dryer door is very hard to open. We took the light bulb out so I only have to open the door when dryer has been used. The washer and dryer doors are always open to permit me from having to lean over and pull the doors open. Will never invest in an LG product of any kind! Bought one of LG’s high-end dishwashers (model LDP6797BD) less than 2 years ago for its quiet running, nice bells and whistles (including WiFi access), and 5 year warranty for electronics. A few days ago the LED display started going on/off, dancing through all the readouts, beeping, and displaying what appeared to be an error code (“L2”) but wasn’t. We called for warranty repairs with a local authorized technician. He calls LG and they tell him its hardware (user interface board), not software (which clearly it was). Minimum repair cost, $285 (included the $85 service call).I call LG to explain why it’s the software and should be under warranty. LG’s Customer Service agrees it could be electronics and will dispatch their factory technician for $125 plus and a minimum labor charge of $65 (but up to $175) if its covered under warranty. Unlike the local technician’s $85 service fee, LG’s service fee of $125 is not applied towards repairs. I explained that I could buy a new dishwasher (NOT an LG) for what I would spend in repairs and my previous $300 dishwasher lasted 10 years…what’s wrong with their product(s)?

My 6-year-old refrigerator quit completely (most likely compressor). I called LG as parts are still under warranty. They gave me 3 places to call to schedule a repair. Two places stated they no longer accepted any service calls on LG repairs and one said she was so far out of my area she didnt know why they gave me their number. I called LG back and was told to see if I could find somebody. I called several places and got the same thing so I called LG back again. I was then told I would be placed with scheduling and somebody would call me in 3 to 5 business days. I asked was their list different or more current and was told his list was fine. I asked him to go unplug his refrigerator for the next 10 days and throw away $300.00 worth of food. He said there was no reason for me to get smart. This is unbelievable. LG doesnt know which of their service providers still honor their calls??? I am now shopping for a refrigerator after 3 days of doing without and no resolution in sight and considering an attorney. I have read far too many horror stories.

I also had a LG refrigerator that only lasted 5 years. Terrible products. So I saw the Magnetron has a 10 year warranty so I called and they told me on the phone, it would cost me 125.00 right there for the service call and the technician would come out and replace the Magnetron and if it was over 30 min I would pay 35. Extra. When the guy came he looked at the microwave and said, It is the Magnetron and I ordered it but it did not come yet, and you owe me 35.00. I will be back in two weeks with the part.I am furious. I asked him what that 35.00 was for and why did he come out without the part and he said, I charge 160, so are suppose to pay me 35.00 no matter what. 1. Why did he come here without the part? 2. This is not what they told me on the phone. 3. I called them to complain and they said exactly the same thing to me and then when I asked for a manager, the CS person said, we have to review your call and you have to pay him for ordering the part, and then he said you have to pay him for extra time and then he said something else. When I pointed out all the various things he said, he said, We have to say these things. He refused to put me through to a manager. He said, We will call you tomorrow and review your call. Which is nuts since he said the exact same thing to me and the service guy said something different. Also the CS rep said, Well 70-80% of the time the service tech brings the Magnetron. So I pay extra time because I am in the 20%. Also NO ONE SAID I needed to pay another 35.00 when he came. They said, If he goes over 30 minutes. So, so wrong.

Lg really needs to improve quality. I have experienced only junk coming from LG. Lg stove, broken after 3 years of use. Should not need a $300 gas valve And an ignitor $100, already! I am a service tech. Lg microwave exhaust fan does not reach 400 cfm (needed for gas stove) and goes slower when microwave is turned on. Junk! Air flow meter only reads up to 260 cfm with a transition to direct airflow through meter. Refrigerator, you have to open both doors to open crisper drawers.Very poor design! How about someone actually try to clean this fridge...what a joke! Takes almost a day to break down fridge to clean. Fire that designer, probably couldn’t design a way out of a paper bag. Lg ductless split ac. Again just junk! Poor design. I will be sharing my experiences with the garbage your company is putting out. Not a happy lg user, Richard. Lg gas stove, lg fridge, lg microwave exhaust and experienced lg ductless split. JUST DON’T BUY LG! Parts are waaay too expensive! Also not readily available! Too many issue in design to mention for fridge. Gas stove is very poorly designed. Very cheap. These products just feel CHEAP! And they are cheap, cheap, cheap products! Fix for mildew smell in LG washer: Use a half cup or so of plain old cheap vinegar in every load. It takes the smell away. Add it with the detergent you use. We use 2 or 3 cups in heavy loads of towels. Our old top loader, my mothers front loader, and our new LG all needed it. Nothing we ever did took the smell away. For us it was a combination of the water in our town and our washers. Just try it. Your clothes will not smell like vinegar. We hated that smell and this fixed it. Anytime we forget to add it, we get the smell again. A gallon of cheap vinegar costs 2, maybe 3 bucks at the most? Seriously, try it on a few loads of towels and youll be happy.

I am in line with the numerous reviews I read concerning the quality of LGs product, specifically the model WT1101CW washing machine. Mine rarely completes a load, of any type, without giving the ue or UE error codes. And the machine programming is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. For example, when it finally does get to spinning good, it will stop only to restart so it can screw up. Maybe it is intentional. You cant rely on the machine to complete a load. You HAVE to babysit it and restart it up to several times for each load. It takes so much more time, energy and water than the old school machines. Why are they allowed to bill it as high efficiency or energy efficient? I have talked to LG many times about this and did everything I was supposed to do from checking machine level to letting AE claims technician come here because LG said it needed a software update to lame advice like using low spin speed. The bottom line is LGs product, customer service, and technical support are of the poorest quality. I will never purchase another LG product and I definitely will discourage anybody I hear of that is shopping for appliances or any product that LG makes.

Throws errors LG refused to fix. 2 months old. 3 errors. Model WT7060CV: We purchased from well known retailer, upgraded all external hoses, faucet, etc. at time they installed. Within 2 weeks, started getting errors requiring reset, that worked, now at 2 months of light usage, vacation home, the error claims no water coming into tub. The symptoms however are conflicting: water fills tub and washes, then as it goes into spin, error thrown, tub drains, washer stops working, items in washer are wet. Now we cant get washer to work at all, the current error says requires repair person, we call retailer, they give us LG Customer Service, customer service tells us the problem is no water is coming into tub, I explained that was not the case and reiterated symptoms. We did video call with LG, they found no problem and said the hose must be clogged since no water was coming in. We said yes water is coming in, they said to clean the filters which required taking back off of washer but they wouldnt stay on the call to assist, I said water is coming in and seems odd that after 2 months the filters have to be cleaned and I am not comfortable doing this on my own, they said to stop repeating myself and hung up on me. They gave us 2 repair people in Seattle, 1 out of business, 1 never called back. I asked for repair services closer to East side because anyone further out wont drive to our location, they gave me 2 that are further away than first repair service. Retailer told us LG was supposed to call repair service not us.Now the retailer, who really has been super helpful is dealing with LG and is going to pay for an LG repair company closer to our location that is not on LG authorized list to go out to try to repair the machine. The retailer told me LG is extremely difficult to work with when issues occur with their products. Lesson learned. DONT BUY LG, I now have a shiny new 2 month old washing machine that does not work and neither the retailer or LG will take back. The good news... The dryer works fine. So far.

Problems within a month, customer service is poor and whatever the problem they say it must be the leveling and nothing is really covered under warranty that may be needed. I just purchased a LG dishwasher LDP6797BB from Home Depot on 10/9/17, it was delivered on 10/17. We installed it ourselves (no issues there). Once we had the dishwasher all installed and confirmed no leaks, I went to run the dishwasher through a full cycle (as recommended). I powered on the machine only to get this code L2, I pulled the book out to find out this code means, luckily (according to the book) this is not an error it is a Rinse Agent code... However, the book does not tell you how to clear this code. So I called LG customer service, I was told I had to reset the machine at the circuit breaker. OK so I do that, machine is reset, machine works (thank God). When the cycle completes, I load the dishwasher with dishes and power on the machine... L2 AGAIN, reset AGAIN, did not work, reset breaker again. I have done this 1 MILLION TIMES in a week (and yes there is rinse agent in the machine). I have called LG, they are no help. They have no techs on staff that you can speak to, I know this is an easy fix, but they insist on sending a tech to my home. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY LG AGAIN... I purchased a L.G. refrigerator model # LFXS29766S approximately 5 years ago. 2.5 years after purchase it completely failed and stopped working. We waited approximately 3 weeks for it to be prepared and life went on. Now 2 years later the same problem has occurred and my family is once again without a refrigerator. This time however dealing with the customer service department had been horrible. I have now been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have not heard from L.G. once. I have spent several hours on hold on many days just trying to get some help. Completely disappointed with the products life span. You cant sell a product for nearly 3,000 dollars and have it not work. Based on the current situation I find it difficult to believe that I will EVER purchase a L.G. product again. Currently Ive been placed on infinite hold because I asked to speak with a supervisor. Thanks Shawn/Sean # ** for your amazing lack of help and waste of time.

I purchased a $900 LG washer 14 months ago. I also purchased the PSP plan. The bleach port is rusting away and getting rust on the clothes! The water and pressure is fine. The PSP plan wont cover this. I called LG and they gave me a hard time, but I demanded something so they allowed me to email the receipt from HHGregg and they will consider sending someone to look at the rust. They decided no and instead, suggested I purchase another plan that covers this problem. I didnt realize we needed a plan that protects poor quality metal!

Purchased a new LG French Door Refrigerator, over $3,500.00 with water and ice dispenser on the door. Refrigerator is only a few years old and I am working on my second service call. Cooling stopped working, freezer stopping working, ice cubes stored in the door melted and ran through the door and all over my floor. My freezer drawer was completely full and all frozen food unthawed, what a mess! All contents of the main refrigerator had to be thrown out. Services calls, replacing parts and replacing the lost food turns into an expensive venture. Extremely disappointed that manufacturers are unable to produce quality appliances in todays world. I am certain Quality Control does not exist at LG. They know how to assess a price tag and take the consumers money!

In November 2011, we purchased an LG Microwave (Model LMV1813SB). It lost power a month later and had to be serviced by LG. It went out again a week later. An LG service person came out and worked on it again, but due to the LG policy, would not replace it until after four service calls. We had the issue again in March and April and finally they are replacing it. My complaint is the extremely poor policy and customer service that LG has. They would rather have the customer go through the time and effort of not having a microwave, making numerous phone calls to LG and scheduling time to have the microwave fixed. This is such horrible customer service. The time and effort we have had to go through to replace the microwave is more than what the microwave is worth. Here is the icing on the cake. LG has shipped our new microwave but told us that the one year warranty does not include removal and installation. I had to argue to get them to reimburse me for this. I will never buy another LG product based on this horrible customer service experience!

My 2.5 year old LG refrigerator Model LFX 25978ST/00 stopped working--first ice machine failed, then freezer and then finally entire fridge--lost all my food. Called an appliance repair and they tried replacing a $150 motherboard they tested and determined had failed. That did not fix the problem. Conclusion was the compressor was also failed. LG guarantees its compressor for 10 years, BUT, only deals with certain repair centers, so I was already out $200 and needed to call one of only two LG-affiliated centers in my area. One quoted me 2300 for labor and said the repairs rarely last and I should just buy a new fridge. Another quoted me 300 for labor, but demanded an advance before scheduling the repair and said that ordering the part and scheduling could take up to 2-3 weeks. What is obvious, having read MANY similar accounts, is there needs to be a class action lawsuit against LG. Furthermore, there needs to be much more attention to quality control, parts have to be made to last longer and all of us are going to have to pay more for our appliances and/or those profiting at the upper echelons of these companies are going to have to share the spoils with their workers to fabricate better products. My GE fridge bought in 1980, lasted 30 years. Should have had it repaired and paid the price for higher electricity vs tossing three refrigerators in a landfill that are energy efficient but, doing nothing other than cluttering the earth.

I had purchased a LG refrigerator about 5 years ago. Needless to say, my 15 year old mini fridge is one-upping this terrible product. I have been trying to have SOMEONE repair it, however, there is no appliance store that is certified to fix it. Clearly this speaks volumes. I have had nothing but terrible service from LG, who expressed no concern for this ongoing inconvenience (understatement). I am just about at the two month mark of having a non-functional refrigerator. The fan was replaced although that still didnt fix the problem. Ill be purchasing a new one because dumping more money into this product seems counterproductive at this point. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT AGAIN!! (Im only 31.)

First, we purchase this refrigerator IMXS30776D is 2016. This refrigerator is barely three years old and $2800.00. This refrigerator has had all part replaced (the compressor twice). The technicians from A&E Factory Service deemed our refrigerator non-repairable. We called LG to see if we could get a replacement or refund. They said they needed information from the technician at A&E to confirm our refrigerator is non-repairable. Three weeks later, we have been passed back and forth between LG, SEARS the A&E. We made another attempted today to find out a status and were passed to SEARS Warranties department. They pretty much told us, No we are not replacing or refunding the refrigerator. I will not buy another LG refrigerator or any other product that LG makes. I will also pass on my experience to everyone I know and those I see shopping for refrigerators (Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot which I frequently shop). Stay away from LG refrigerators!!!!

Updated on 09/09/2021: Earlier this week, I submitted a review about my 2015 LG electric dryer. Today, after 25 minutes of trying screw extractors and the rubber band trick, an LG approved appliance repairman was able remove the front panel to determine the cause of non-heating heat element. Turns out that that there was an electric wire fire near back left side of dryer. A green wire which allows power to the heating element melted, sparked, and melted part of the neutral white wire next to it and there is black soot on the dryer lid. This could have burned down my home with my family in it! Now, have to have an electrician cut off the burnt part of the wire. But, this could happen again.Original Review: In 2015, I purchased a new washer front loading set, only to have to exchange the dryer for top loading model because front load models silicone collar would stink after each load even though I disinfected it after every load. The dryer has been great, but the heating element or thermostat died this August 2021. Worst of all, the dryer cannot be serviced because the factory installed door panel screws were over tightened. The screw heads cannot be drilled into to remove the screws to replace early expired parts. The dryer is now a nothing but a huge paper weight! Do not buy LG dryers. Contacting residential customer support almost impossible. I will be contacting the media should LG not make this right.

We bought a one year old LG Trom stainless steel washer from a co-worker of my spouse when we moved into our new house. I was not crazy about a front loader but loved the price and the fact he would deliver it. To its credit, it spent the next 2 1/2 years washing up here, including the cast offs of 4-5 bassets hounds, which we foster for the rescue. We got an error code OE on a regular basis and cleaned out the two filters and it came back on. It made our clothes and laundry room smell and always leaked a small amount out on the floor. Finally, it would not clear the OE code although I could run it through the cycles manually. When I checked on getting it repaired, the eye opening started. The first appliance store I called stated that something should be done about these being imported into the country. He virtually recoiled when I told him what I had. And only person in my area (southern Houston, not exactly the boonies) worked on these and could get parts. Okay, I called him. $75.00 service call when we can get to you, and it cant be applied towards the repair. Then I researched online and found out that it would most likely cost 200-400 dollars to fix it with even small things wrong.Okay....maybe I just will buy something else, like the top loading white Kenmore I have spent the last 50 years washing in. I checked around with two used dealers and again, they didnt fix LGs, would not carry them, and didnt want one. The used Kenmore is downstairs merrily washing away in 30 minutes time when the LG took an hour for most anything. Also, I could soak or dye anything in it. It left here with the junk dealer...Good Riddance!

WM2050CW - We purchased this machine in 2010 and it seemed the answer to all our prayers. It worked great, cleaned well and the clothes were almost dry when they were done - very little time in the dryer to get them done. The machine wasnt cheap but it would save energy and use less water and of course cut down on dryer time. Then this year problems arose and it was out of warranty. No problem, I thought, just call a repairman and all will be good. WRONG. Found out most will not work on the Korean made LGs. The parts are hard to get and expensive and the service from LG itself is horrible. This coming from the tech that we finally found to come out and work on it. Great we thought, get it fixed and back to washing. WRONG again. Pump was shot and the supports on the center drum were beginning to go. Okay how much to fix? We asked. $400 for the pump which could take up to two weeks to even get and up to a $1000 to replace the supports. OUCH!!!! Needless to say repairs were not done. Called several repair businesses to get a recommendation for a replacement. All came up with the same answer...... DONT buy another front loader. Reason: not built to last, parts are expensive, and some brands like LG nobody will work on. So we went back to the good old top loader and it is a Speed Queen and it has a 3 year warranty and according to all the repair people we talked to it is one of the most dependable out there. The best part it is made here in the good ole USA..... If you think front loaders are great look them up on youtube and see what happens when the supports go............ SCARY.

LG LFX259785SB/00 - 4 year young LG refrig compressor failed. Shame on LG but the kicker is after almost 1 week we were told by LG that the comp is on BACKORDER and MAYBE be in by September 1 BUT NOT SURE. Tells me that this model and others who use same compressors were bad from the get go. Who can go without refrig for that long??? My mother who is 90 and still able to live on her own is going through this as we speak... $1900.00 + and only 4 years of use. Had to go out and buy her a small refrig - just trying to get her by until and unknown time of repair. Food lost and labor should be included in the fix but it wont happen. Class action anyone??

I am so sorry I did not look at the reviews before I purchased 4 LG appliances.

Don’t buy an LG refrigerator in Anchorage, Alaska! No service company in Anchorage will do LG sealed system warranty work. When our 5.5 year old LG refrigerator (model LFX21976) stopped cooling and freezing, we called an Anchorage technician to come check it. He determined that it had a compressor failure which is a sealed system issue a warranty item. He called LG to establish a claim. The LG contact ran through a diagnostic and told our tech to first replace the inverter control (not a warranty item). Our tech refused, telling LG that he was not going to charge us for work that he knew was not the problem. He persuaded the LG contact to record our claim as a sealed system (compressor) issue. Our techs company refuses to do sealed system warranty work for LG.When we called LG to confirm the warranty repair and find out who would do LG warranty work, we were given 3 names. One was the company we originally contacted. The second advised that they too will not do LG sealed system warranty work. Only the third, located in Palmer, AK, would do the work. He charges a $35 travel fee for the hour drive to Anchorage. Having no choice, we made an appointment. He confirmed the sealed system compressor problem. Because we would be traveling, he took our refrigerator to his shop so he could work on it there when the part arrived. We expected the work to be completed when we returned. When he contacted LG to have the part shipped, he was told to replace the inverter board and main PCB not warranty items. He did this work without contacting us. He said he had to go with what LG said even though he and LG had both been told that the inverter board and main PCB were both functioning correctly. When we returned, the Palmer tech said, Good news. It wasn’t what he thought and it did not cost as much as the warranty work would have. It did cost $438.95. He brought our refrigerator back in a few days but advised not to plug it in until the next day so the fluids could settle. We plugged it in; it did not cool or freeze. The same problem we originally reported. When he came back several days later, he concluded that it really was a sealed system compressor problem. It then took more than two weeks to get the part. He did the repair. The refrigerator again works. But the warranty only covers the part, not the $450 labor. We were without use of our refrigerator for two months and paid for unnecessary work. A 5.5 year old refrigerator should not fail! Based on other reviews maybe we were lucky to have it work that long! But the lack of service companies willing to do LG warranty work is reason not to buy an LG refrigerator in Anchorage, Alaska.

Actually my rating is a zero. LG front loader washing machine that we have is not only a complete waste of money but a health hazard. Why the health department isnt involved in this matter is truly shocking to me. Both my Fiancee and myself have experienced general malaise (headaches, body aches, nausea, dizziness) which we now believe is due to the mold build up in this machine and thus ending up in our clothes despite double washing the clothes to get the smell out.The constant nightmare in dealing with mold buildup in the machine has truly been astounding. We have tried everything from leveling the machine since water never gets fully drained, to scrubbing the front flap , to draining water and cleaning reservoir and bleach cycle--nothing works. This is the first and last LG product we ever buy. They put this thing on the market knowing full well of the problems with it. Personally, I am looking around to see if theres a class action lawsuit. In the meantime, we are going old school and buying a cheap top loader. Weve used top loaders for 30 years and never had a problems with them. Even our kids agree that this machine is crap.

Three months after buying the set, the washer started to bang and leak. We bought the extended warranty but it did no good. When I told them it sounded like the bearings were going out in it, they told me it doesnt have bearings and we caused it to leak by not keeping it clean, so I wipe it almost every time and it still leaks. They were here 3 times and never did anything about it. Our warranty is up and were stuck with a lemon. We bought it from Sears. I dont think well be shopping there anymore. We have had this refrigerator for two years. The ice dispenser leaks water after every use. Our family uses a lot of ice, especially in the summer! Despite our best efforts to keep the area dry, moisture got up under the control panel. So far it has not affected the function, but I am scared it will eventually. We contacted LG about this and were told that it is merely a cosmetic problem that is not caused by the refrigerator itself and that cosmetic problems are not covered under warranty. We will never buy another LG product. We should have purchased the Samsung we were looking at!

Purchased LG Model LFXS29626B because of good reviews and it had features we desired like 2 ice makers. Worked fine for 3 years then stopped without any signs of problems. Research discovered common failures of the compressors in these LG refrigerators. Contacted LG by phone and using Smart Diagnosis was informed by the technician that the compressor had failed. My worse fear with no extended warranty. LG offered to repair my unit without cost to me. It was repaired the same day, in short time as the repairman came with required parts on hand. I applaud LG for owning this problem, but feel cautious wondering if the new compressor will fail after a short time period. We hope not because up to this point, it has served us well and we like the looks, and features. Previous refrigerator was a Kenmore, which lasted 16 years and cost one fourth of the LG.

Four and a half years ago, we purchased a new fridge from American Appliance in Madison, WI. We looked at several models and were debating between a GE Profile and a similar LG model. We were concerned about the reliability of the LG brand and asked the salesman; he said he hadnt heard of any problems and that they were reliable. We decided to go with the LG. We started having problems last year and the main circuit board went out, which was about $500 to fix.I asked several friends if they have had trouble with any LG appliances and I was shocked at how many people I know who have had trouble with the reliability of LG. I wish Id followed my instincts and avoided the LG brand. Our fridge is now incessantly beeping, even when the door is not open. Today, it started grumbling very loudly. Im afraid Im in for another giant repair bill. I really wish wed bought the GE Profile fridge.

We purchased an LG washer. I love the fact that without the middle paddle you can wash large items like king size spreads and comforters and all the clothes actually are treated more gently. I do not like buying new if the old is still working. Being able to get parts and having really good people who can and will work to keep the old model going. Regular repairs is a nightmare. Been there and done that, days without your appliance and you have to wash most days to keep the family in clean clothes and towels etc. Also low quality construction, which usually means noise pollution and the appliance walking all over the floor or pulling loose from the connections and the room being flooded. This LG washer that I bought was the same price as for the Maytag that I had purchased 20 years before. It is high quality construction, stays where it is supposed to when it spins. Large size drum that washes very small loads with much less soap and water, or very large items like winter coats, king size bedding, comforters, etc. One thing I do not like is that everything rinses in cold water no matter which setting you use, and I like to be able to decide what temperature I want for the wash cycle and the temperature I want for the rinse. But all in all, that is the only thing I do not like about these computer controlled washers.

My LG dryer is leaking gas from somewhere and I had the gas company come out to isolate that the issue isnt with the gas line or connection. He confirmed something is wrong with the dryer, marked it a fire hazard, and unplugged it. Furthermore, we had our dryer duct cleaned to remove the possibility that it was a blocked vent. The gas issue still exists. Was on the phone with LG for at least over an hour trying to come to some resolution. The hallmark response from them was unfortunately you are outside the 1 year warranty. The issue Im having has nothing to do with warranty and is a SAFETY and potential recall issue which they obviously didnt want to address, stating that enough people need to call in and report this issue before we issue a recall. What makes the issue so dangerous is that GAS is leaking somewhere and LG is unwilling to even send someone out as a courtesy to check. Whats worse is that there could be MANY customers out there with this problem who dont even know it or think its a big deal (we thought it was normal until we had the Gas company check it a few months later on my wifes intuition). If enough gas leaks and something ignites it, that could mean a blow-out of the dryer or worse yet potential injury via explosion or fire. Its obvious LG cares very little about the safety of their customers, especially when they keep implying these kinds of things are warranty related issues. This is major neglect IMHO. If there are ever any incidents in future related to LG and gas leaks, this shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone and it certainly wont for me. This is the last time Ill be getting a set of LG appliances... thats for sure. Ive only had this set for five years too.
