I never used LG products before and didnt know the pain of LG product. God was kind until I bought LG fridge. This fridge is making me cry within 3 years of my purchase though the warranty on its compressor is for 10 years. It has failed thrice in 3 months. Had the LG customer service been active to fix the problem properly, I would have thought of a mistake buying LG products. But LG service is worst than their products, they are there for namesake and to do nothing. It is almost a week time. Fridge compressor is down and I lodged complain, they are not bothered yet. I am calling LG customer services more than I call my relatives/friends and family (all put together). I know most of their employees by name. On top of that they refer me to their ASM, who has already resigned and moved :). I do not know whether it will be fixed or not and by when. I think only miracle can make it work or I will have to buy some other fridge.

I like the overall size of it for the space I need and large freezer door on the bottom pullout as big as I need. I cook a lot so its what I needed to fulfill my stuff. Actually the only thing I do not like on my whole fridge is the fridge does not come equipped with a water dispenser on it because I drink a lot of water and it would come in handy. It was between this model and a Kenmore and this was just a little larger for my taste and fits all my needs for everything I use it for since I cook a lot.

Purchased an LG refrigerator six years ago and it lasted 18 months before the LG repairman said it was pure crap and that the Koreans were laughing their ** off at us. Purchased an LG oven at the same time and was just informed the repair will cost more than a new one. We actually fought a war for these lousy pieces of **. They now play us for a bunch of damn fools. What a waste. Will never buy anything made in Korea again.

We have had this refrigerator for two years. The ice dispenser leaks water after every use. Our family uses a lot of ice, especially in the summer! Despite our best efforts to keep the area dry, moisture got up under the control panel. So far it has not affected the function, but I am scared it will eventually. We contacted LG about this and were told that it is merely a cosmetic problem that is not caused by the refrigerator itself and that cosmetic problems are not covered under warranty. We will never buy another LG product. We should have purchased the Samsung we were looking at!

So disappointed with LG. Have never had a front loading washing machine before so in December of 2014 I purchased both washer and dryer pair. Right from the start the washer made loud banging noises. Was told this was normal for these new type of washers. Okay I thought. But 3 years almost to the date of purchase, I am stuck with a practically new washer that can barely spin due to worn bearings. It would be ridiculous to spend money on repairs... Probably around $500 I was told. I may as well buy a new machine. UGH. I just cannot get over spending over $1000 for a washer that I now have to junk. I do have an LG refrigerator that I love and have had for almost 10 years. PLEASE LG... Do not sell washing machines... Ripping off too many consumers. Rant over.

I purchased an LG French-door refrigerator in November, 2010, from Home Depot for $1198. Earlier this week I came home to puddles of water in my kitchen as the refrigerator compressor died resulting in my losing about a couple hundred dollars-worth of food. I called LG customer service, gave my model number and was told by their representative that the compressor was under warranty and I would only have to pay for labor. I was then provided with the numbers of two LG approved repair services. I had one service come out today and charge me $95 to confirm it is the compressor that no longer works, and let me know that labor cost to repair would be $650. That is pretty high so I called LG customer service again because my friend had the same thing happen to her LG refrigerator 3 weeks ago (what a coincidence) and it cost her $250 in labor, a big difference from $450. Turns out LG can send out one of their repair technicians who can do the repair for a total of $375. I do not know why this wasnt offered from the beginning and why I was directed to an independent repair service that costs almost double, but that is a sub-issue. What was truly upsetting was that it was at this time that the customer service representative told me that my refrigerator is actually not under warranty and that I would have to pay for parts and labor. If I had been told this from the beginning then I would have not have had the repair person come out and waste $95. I would have just gone directly to buying a new refrigerator, which is what I am left to do now because the cost of labor and parts will be near $1,000. So in sum, I spent nearly $1,200 on an LG refrigerator to last me less than 8 years and, to add insult to injury, I then spent an additional $95 for a repair call on the bad information provided by the LG customer service center. I asked LG if they would reimburse me for this and they refused. What makes the whole situation even worse is that I see that there was a class action lawsuit over the LG compressor failures, so this is a known issue to LG. Obviously LG is not standing behind its products and its customer service is sub-par. I will not be purchasing LG items ever again and this includes not only appliances but also mobile devices, televisions, audio and computers. I wanted to share this by sharing this experience so others can avoid similar losses.

The vibrations started almost at day one. So I leveled it again with a 4 level and still the walls vibrated (its a load bearing wall 2x12 floor joists 1-1/4 thick flooring). We did not know of the problem until my son came and mentioned that it shouldnt vibrate like this (he has an older model LG), so the calls to LG started and trying to get an in warranty repairman is like pulling your own teeth. So after losing 2 days pay and a third on the way, still there is no fix or reason why its vibrating. LG has said that after 3 attempts, they would either replace/or refund our cost. Well, its still ongoing. I will keep you informed.

I purchased a LG Counter Measured Stainless Steel Refrigerator on August 2014 from Home Depot. Into 10 months of having this product (June 2015), I found a large amount of icing behind the produce draw and I could barely open the draw. Apparently the compressor was going and needed to be replaced. LG came out and promptly fixed the problem. They replaced the two boards - internally and externally at no cost to me.Then around early August 2015, I found several rust marks on the right and bottom drawers of the refrigerator. I promptly called LG especially since I had not owned the refrigerator an entire year. They asked me to upload pictures and the representative stated she would present this to senior management to see what they could do to remedy this. She called back the next day and said senior management felt that the damage was caused by me in some way. I told them that I had purchased a dishwasher and a range at the same time, clean them with the same stainless steel product, and the items did not have rust marks. They said that their decision was final.Surprisingly I received a call in late October 2015 from LG inquiring about the rust spots complaint on the fridge. I explained that there were actually additionally rust spots appearing every day and that I was very unhappy with this situation. He sent an LG service person to view the rust spots and take pictures as well. The service man called the warehouse to immediately order me the right and bottom freezer doors and to have them installed the following day. At this point, I am a little concerned that the new doors will have the same problem and if it happens again, will they cover the damage? I have purchased many products from LG and was generally very happy with the products and service.

We were very excited to purchase all LG black stainless appliances for our new kitchen which was completed at the end of Sept 2017. By the end of October, we realized the dishwasher (LDF7774BD) is just the WORST. Since this is newer technology than what we had, it was my hope that we just needed to learn how to use it. It is now end of the year and still very dissatisfied. Dishes do not come clean, nor do they dry. Wash time is the longest I have ever seen - over 2 hours for a normal wash cycle. All racks are bad design. The bottom rack comes off the track every time we use it. The adjustable racks fall down no matter how you adjust them. The top rack is supposed to be height adjustable but the only adjustment we can find is to remove the racks so that we can wash our 6.5 inch tall glasses in the glass rack. Will be contacting the retailer and LG soon to find a solution. We were very excited to purchase all LG black stainless appliances for our new kitchen which was completed at the end of Sept 2017. Our LG front load washing machine has a cycle that intermittently opens and closes the water valve that causes severe water hammer in the plumbing system. This is very bad for your plumbing and will cause damage. Ive installed a water hammer arrestor, but wasnt any better. Very bad vibrations and unacceptable noise during wash/rinse cycles - unit actually moves across the floor! And needs continuous cleaning of soap and softener dispensers - clothes smell badly if you dont. Dryer does not perform well either - takes 2 hours to dry a load! I would never recommend LG to anyone - spent over $1,800 for the washer/dryer pair with pedestals, and have replaced them in less than 3 years with conventional pair!!!

Gas knobs on my LG 30 freestanding gas convection range (model number LRG3097ST) have malfunctioned twice; each time, theyre causing gas leaks. When my husband called, we got 4 replacement knobs with the identical issue. The issue is the plastic inserts - they break and they continue to break. This is a known issue! In my humble opinion, there should have been a recall issued a while ago on this; and you dont have to be a NASA rocket scientist to figure that out. I looked at the complaints the customers have made against the LG line, and its been going strong since 2009. I am not sure what the Consumer Protection Board is waiting on. But Im hoping to at least use this venue to get the message out. The rest of the oven works wonderfully, but the gas leak from those knobs should be addressed, and if not by LG, at least by our own Consumer Protection Board.

LG front load washer (WM0642HW) - The washer vibrates horribly when in the spin cycles! Our whole house shakes! You can hear the vibration outside the home! The floor vibrates when washer is in spin cycle! We have bought several different kinds/brands of shock-absorbers and installed them under each leg of the washer. Still no help! This is obviously a manufacturing defect. We called LG and they sent a certified LG appliance repair man to our home. All he would tell us was: LG makes a great product and use less than half the recommended amount of detergent to control the ‘smell’.” This is my second contact to you. Do you have other complaints against LG for this same problem? LG should replace my unit. I am willing to trade down just to get rid of this vibration! I have matching dryer. Together, these appliances were $1900.00!

On October 21st, our LG Model LMXS30776S/00 Refrigerator that was less than 2 years old stopped working. When I called LG Consumer Relations at 800-243-000 they took down our information. They then discussed their LG Premium Care Service Plan with us and provided us two options to get our fridge fixed. Option # 1, $450, Option # 2 $350. Option # 1 covers you for 1 year and the Option # 2 is for 3 months. We go with Option # 2. It is supposed to cover the labor and because the compressor broke that is covered by warranty by LG for 10 years from date of purchase. They set us up with one service repair company in our city, then call us a few days later to say they assigned it to another service repair company in our city. Turns out the second one is the only authorized LG repair in our city. They schedule an appointment, the earliest date, November 14th.On 11/14 the owner comes out and says the compressor is broke and the seal system has been contaminated and he will need 6 parts to fix this. On 11/15 the repair place calls me and says the LG warranty department will not authorize the fridge to be fixed. They are going to get another repair place to come fix it. On 11/16 after not hearing from the warranty division of LG (which is outsourced), I call them. It took 34 minutes before someone answered. They explain to me and say the repair company told us they cannot fix the fridge. I say that is a total lie. The guy then paused. I said I have spoken with them multiple times and they told me you would not authorize them to repair it because you now do not want to pay the labor cost. So LG sells us on the warranty program, but then when they find out the labor cost almost 3 weeks later, they refuse to pay it and tell us we will reimburse the $350 to you.So not only did our less than 2 year old fridge break, they do not honor their warranty programs that they sell to the consumer. I was transferred back to LG Customer Care and waited on hold 45 minutes. I never spoke to anyone again. I tried calling on 11/17 and they say wait times are too long, call back. I then proceed to do a live chat. They push me back to their 800. Long story short, DO NOT buy LG. However, you have to be careful, because LG makes refrigerators for Kenmore and others that are sold in Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears to name a few.LG does not stand behind their products. One local repair place in my city said they dropped LG because LG did not honor the warranties. They said do not buy LG and Samsung Appliances. So our options are to buy a new fridge, or pay someone over $800 to repair our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator. So, we paid $2900 for the LG fridge and now it will cost an additional $800 to get it fixed or we have to spend in the $1,000s to get a new one. I have never in 40 + years experienced such bad customer service with a product. I will never buy anything that LG makes or has made for another company. They do not stand behind their products. Their customer care representatives are terrible. Thanks LG. You lost a customer and hope many more after they read this for life.

As far as water consumption no complaints and the company is in the right direction on that topic. Ive read so many negative reviews about LG refrigerators not working that this seems superfluous but I need to vent. We purchased a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer 3 years ago during a kitchen remodel. It is a counter-depth with water and ice in the door. About 6 weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped cooling. We put a thermometer inside and the temperature was 57 degrees. We contacted our retailer, Abt, who immediately sent out a tech person and determined, with the assistance of LG tech, that the freezer fan wasnt working. The part was ordered, new fan installed, and the refrigerator temperature remained at 57 degrees. We called Abt again, tech came out and again, with the help of the LG tech, determined it was now the refrigerator fan. Part ordered, part replaced, temp still 57. Abt ordered a new control board, at the suggestion of LG tech, part ordered, couldnt be installed because it was the wrong part.We finally contacted LG. After long waits, requests to speak to managers, etc., we were finally referred to their Executive Services. Im guessing that this department handles difficult situations (or difficult people, although I havent been difficult until now, 7 weeks later). LG sent out their tech. Tech announced that the refrigerator was installed improperly because it fit too tightly in the cabinetry. Ok, this is a counter-depth, built-in refrigerator. Huh?So, LG Executive Services was called again. We asked for the installation manual and were directed to the online version. While the Exec. Services person (Tish) was on the phone, we read, aloud and together, the specs which stated the unit needs 1/8 on either side and minimum of 2 from the wall to the back of the refrigerator. The unit was installed properly. Tish insisted that it isnt and made me wait while she chatted with Engineering. Apparently, Engineering stated that there needed to be 1 on top for air flow. I asked Tish how I would have known that since its not published in the installation manual and I want a copy of that. 8 days have gone by and Ive not received anything. When I followed up today with Jenna, she said that, because I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the engineers will send the info to the BBB and they will respond to me. REALLY???Between the dates of April 4th and today, April 11th, Ive exchanged 12 emails with Marianne, at Executive Services, to no end. LG tech came out, again, with a 2nd tech at 7:30 PM! After much discussion, they determined it must be the control board or the sealed system. The control board was ordered and installed. Our interior refrigerator temperature is now 61 degrees from 57!! What a joke. So... today I spoke to 3 people at Executive Services: Tamica (totally useless), Willie and Jenna. Jenna seemed to at least want to do something. I shared that our daughter is getting married in 4 days, we are having a 40 person brunch on Easter Sunday, and I have no freaking refrigerator. The latest is... Jenna contacted the Tech Department and they want to put in a datalogger to clarify the issue. I asked what that meant, she didnt know. I asked how long it would be in the fridge, she didnt know. She said she sent an email to the tech engineer, tech manager, and Tech Support manager asking these questions. Do you think the problem with getting anything done has to do with too much weight at the top? Anyway, we have an appointment Thursday so the tech can put in a datalogger, whatever the hell it does.I cant even describe the frustration and anger held towards this company. I would have given them a 1 because, obviously, their products arent meant to last, but some of the folks at Executive Services and our tech have been nice and most seem to want to help. I wouldnt recommend LG products to anyone, ever, unless they want to be totally frustrated and throw money out of the window. Our previous refrigerator lasted 19 years and it was a Whirlpool... no brainer.[Updated on 04/20/2017] Felt my previous review needed updating and lowered my rating from 2* to 1. I still dont have a functioning refrigerator. Jenna, at LG, promised the datalogger, which never happened. After she contacted their tech people, they deemed my refrigerator installed improperly, again, and said sorry, we cant help you. So, after sending out their techs 4 times, replacing the motherboard, ordering the sealed unit, this is their decision? The unit is installed in accordance with the installation manual on line. Their engineers came up with different specs. Coincidentally, their cant fix it edict came on the heels of my response to their response to my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Hmmmm... After reading the 1700+ complaints about LG products, the majority being refrigerators, Ive decided to take this further. I am contacting my local news station, newspaper and the Attorney General, if need be. PLEASE... EVERYONE WHO IS OR HAS EXPERIENCED THE LACK OF SERVICE, and refrigeration, from LG, TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. LETS GET THIS CRAPPY COMPANY OUT OF OUR STORES.

I bought an LG refrigerator and it broke, and I had a horrible experience. The customer service people were polite. But the whole system is not set up properly, so they could not fix my refrigerator for three weeks. And no one can live without a refrigerator that long. So, I had to buy a new one. And I didn’t go with LG. My LG was a two and a half year old refrigerator. Nobody spends $1,800 every two years. While it worked, it was good. We had no problem. But once it broke, the maintenance support was very bad. And I was not the only one. There were reviews after reviews about people having the same experience with getting the repair done.

Purchased the Gas Range from Home Depot June, 2009. The knobs to turn the gas on/off are very loose and make it difficult to adjust gas. It is not only an inconvenience but also a safety hazard. On a few occasions, I found the gas still on when I know I had turned it off after cooking. Called their customer service dept. Mine is not one of the models that CS is allowed to send replacement parts to. To purchase knobs online would cost over $63/ea. Unit has been maintained very well. One user. No children in the home. Life of this appliance is very short compared to other stoves I have had. Neither Home Deport nor LG seem to care one bit.

I purchased an LG refrigerator about 3 months ago. The first week I had it the door In door kept popping open. Weeks later the freezer would build up ice and I had difficulty opening and closing the freezer. I contacted LG and they sent a repairman who did not fix my problem. LG then sent a repairman to fix the freezer. The day he left the freezer stopped opening. I am now unable to access my freezer to get food for my kids. I’ve had to go grocery shopping just to have food. I have called customer service several times and been promised that I would be contacted to schedule a service call. To date no one has called me despite 4 calls to LG. I even spoke to a supervisor on Tuesday who promised me I would be contacted and still no phone call.

I bought a washer and dryer, one on top of the other one, with stacking kit offered by LG. It is even in the manual as an option for the customer from Home Depot. The washer is leaking from the bottom when it was two months old... I cant believe a brand new machine is not working right in only two months. How can I be sure when they delivered this washer at my house that it was brand new? I am very suspicious with how Home Depot and LG do business. I have this one year warranty offer by LG. Well, it is not like that. I called for service and first of all, they dont have their own technicians. They hire subcontractors who really dont know what they are doing, thats why so many stupid people, instead of fixing, were messing the machines up.On top of it all, this subcontractor wanted to charge me $145 to put the dryer on the floor in order for them to inspect the washer, which is at the bottom. I called Home Depot and I DID not get any help from them, either. When I bought these machines, they told me it was covered and I didnt have to pay anything if it breaks under the 1-year warranty. They even offered me an extension warranty that I DID not take... It is only two months old, and in order for the technician to come before they inspected the washer and fixed it, I had to come up with $145.What a rip-off. I asked for a manager, and he said the same thing, blaming me for choosing to stack the machines one on top of the other one. They talked nonsense. I wanted to return it to Home Depot...They didnt take it. And they cant even exchange it. I paid for the installation, as well, but it is for nothing that I spent almost $2,000 for these ** LG machines...I will never ever buy LG products. They really suck and it is all a **.

My wife and I purchased a new LG WT5070CW washing machine in January of 2013. This is a top loading machine. We started to experience mold/mildew smells from the machine shortly after we purchased it. We use high-efficiency soap, use very limited amounts of soap, dry out the entire machine (including the top lip of the washing tub) after every use, remove and empty the soap detergent/softener dish after every use, plus dry it out. We have used commercial after-market mold/mildew solutions to treat the machine. We have also used bleach rinses and vinegar rinses. We purchased a carbon filter bag that we place in the machine when not in use. Nothing seems to help and the smell is getting worse. So much so, that we are considering purchasing a new machine. We contacted LG about our problem and got a canned email response... do this and do that... all of which we had explained to LG earlier that we had already done. By canned, we mean it appears to us as if this response was meant for their front loading machines, as it mentioned making sure to wipe dry the gasket on the door of the machine. Our top loading machine does not have a gasket on the lid. We responded to LGs suggested fixes and asked to talk to a supervisor about this problem. So far, nothing from LG. The LG washing machine and dryer combination were not cheap. LGs customer service department along with their engineering department leave a lot to be desired. We ditched our LG phones earlier this year for Samsung and will probably do the same with the washing machine... although I am not sure what we will replace it with. LG products are problematic and I suspect will not have a lot of repeat buyers.

After using LG washer WM4270HWA several months, the ink writing is coming off from the washers front panel and front panel buttons. Please look at the attached picture. The panel was not cleaned using any cleaners. The only explanation is there can be some detergent residue on the fingers after loading the detergent (coming from the detergent bottle or cup). It will dissolve the ink. This is the design problem since it has to be assumed that you are dealing with detergent and LG could cover the front panel writing with transparent plastic or film as they actually do on Power and Start/Pause buttons, proving that they are fully aware of the problem. They could use other inks or just glue the stickers that can be replaced later. Unfortunately, they didnt think much about it and went with the cheapest solution, and this is not the cheapest washer model. Finally, they refused to replace the panel saying it is a cosmetic damage. However when all letters will be gone how to select the washing options? It will be a functional issue. Having extended warranty is not helping either, Home Depot, where the washer was bought, is saying the same. One of their suggestions is to take a marker and write on the panel. Ridiculous nonsense. Be aware.

Please do not buy any LG washers. I wish I read the reviews before I purchased mine in June. This machine doesnt rinse or spin properly and the loads are always wet and heavy. And this machine makes all the clothes smell horrible. I was told by LG that this was the customer error and the machine needs to be cleaned monthly. Ive never heard of such ridiculousness. A HUGE disappointment. I also never had to post a negative review for any purchase Ive made but especially after I spoke with a rep who was rude and utterly useless, I felt the need to post. As many others have stated, if I could provide zero stars I would!!! Do not buy even if other reviews are good. Its not if its when your product will default. Weve had our LG refrigerator for less than 3 years, and bought the extended warranty. Unfortunately, its been nothing but trouble. We are currently out of a refrigerator and LG still has yet to come up with a solution or a reliable repair company. The first issue was the fan in the freezer compartment which was fixed and covered under warranty. Now its the compressor, which for anyone thats not aware does have a 5-year manufacturer warranty that we would not have known until someone told us and it wasnt LG. The company that LG contracted out came to repair (the company actually had horrible reviews online) but guess what folks our refrigerator still is not working and we are at 4 weeks. I would like to add for anyone experiencing issues to file a complaint with the BBB which I just finished. Its too soon to determine if this will help mitigate the process but its worth pursuing. We spend entirely way too much for a product that does not work.

The dishes also were not coming clean or getting dried fully no matter what we did. I called LG and did everything they told me to try and it did NOT work. Do NOT buy this dishwasher, I am trying to get them to take it back, they are saying its been too long but I am going to do everything I can because this is disgusting, I cant even tell you how bad the smell is. When doing the first load of laundry, the washer leaked from the bottom onto my new tile floor. I contacted Home Depot and after a bit of haggling was able to get them to provide a replacement which will be delivered on 5/23. Based on this experience, I have significant concerns about the quality and durability of my new laundry equipment to the extent that I requested LG provide a warranty extension. I love the brand and have had no issues with them so far. The smart electronic option where I can see my shopping list is really helpful for mom who forgets so much with everything going on. Being able to jot it down and have it connected to my phone is such a wonderful and neat option. I have hated this washer almost since we bought it. Not long after we got it something in computer board malfunctioned within 6 months of buying it. Had to have a repair man come fix it. It is a LG WaveForce with direct drive inverter. It stops and beeps all the time because clothes are unbalanced. I dont feel it cleans my clothes very well. I have a hard time getting my clothes out of washer. (I am only 5 ft. tall so that is not really an issue with the washing machine itself.) Bottom line I will never buy a washer with a direct drive inverter. In my opinion a washer with an agitator is best for getting clothes clean.

Bought an LG WT5070CW several years ago because of the extra large capacity. My old LG front loader died after 10+ years and since we had a good experience with their washers we went with another. That was the biggest mistake ever! We have a very large family and laundry can get behind fast. It takes a half a day sometimes to wash 1 load of laundry due to the UE code and our inability to get it to balance. Im way behind now and have had to resort going to the laundromat. After thinking about it, with the money we spent at the laundromat, I could have bought a better washer. If I could give it no stars I would. Never again and after reading some of the other reviews I may never buy another LG product. There is obviously no reason to contact the company either after reading reviews though I have sent an email to complain about this washer. The only thing it is good for is scrap metal.

My LG bottom freezer refrigerator was 4 months old when it started to emit a chemical odor that permeated the foods and made them inedible. It smelled similar to the smell that it had when it was new that the manual said would disappear a few days after running it and it did go away. I called LG, and they sent a repairman, who opened the door, said he could smell nothing and that was it. Over 2 months, I called LG and I got the run-around until finally they said they will do nothing. Well LG you have a lot on your plate right now and thousands of consumers without refrigerators due to your faulty compressor problems. Mine has been out since last Wednesday and LG cannot find anyone to service their product even their LG technicians aren’t available. Living out of 3 coolers and had to buy a box freezer. Now on my way to buy a used refrigerator because not knowing how long this issue is going to take! Was reassured that I would be reimbursed for buying the box freezer, food spoilage and old refrigerator. My case was sent to regional manager and being review while being told I’d be called back in 3 to 5 business days with a resolution to replace or give me my money back if I pass the review and if they cannot find anyone to come out and fix it. I don’t want to ever own another LG product let alone have them come out and replace the compressor with the same faulty issues to have it break down again in which it would. I also have a 1,000 dollar LG dishwasher and 6 months ago the top digital touch board went out! 1 year later! They replaced that and praying it doesn’t go out again. So now playing the waiting game. Don’t buy LG. Appliances will never be made the same way that they were years ago in the 70’s and 80’s to last a lifetime. I have reviewed just about every brand out there and all I find is garbage reviews!! What the hell can you buy that’s reliable anymore!

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator a few years ago. Within a few months, all the plastic inside began to crack. It isnt from abuse. Its not from cleaning with harsh chemicals. Every piece of plastic in the top refrigerator is broken - those on the doors and those holding the glass shelves. The freezer drawers are held on the track with duct tape as the freezer inside is all cracked too. The egg holder is completely cracked also. Looks like dry rot. The parts that allow the drawers to pull in and out also fell apart and/or cracked. I am waiting for the plastic holding the bottom glass shelve which goes along the entire width of the fridge to finish cracking so far this one has a hairline crack.I wrote back and forth to LG who did nothing but tell me they would elevate my complaint higher - but I think they meant lower - as into the trash. It has been 4 months since I gave them my serial number to move the complaint along as they said right away. My entire refrigerator is held together with duct tape. Lucky me that duct tape comes in white now. This is a crime that this company gets away with this. There should be a class action lawsuit. I work hard for my money and this is just unacceptable.

We were at ABC Warehouse and they had a good sale going. We needed a refrigerator and got one. We had our LG refrigerator for a couple of years but I cant believe they would build something that turns out to be unrepairable for something as simple as an ice maker. You gotta turn it in and cant repair it. It had something to do on the inside of the refrigerator that was causing the ice maker not to work, and you couldn’t get to it as it was sealed. I don’t have the LG refrigerator any longer. People came and got it and were waiting for a check. It has been a month and a half, then I called this morning and the check is going out on Monday. We paid 1,500 for it and were getting 1,200 back. Somebody has to deal with that program. They made a unit like that to where if it doesn’t work, they gotta replace it then send out a check for $1,200. That’s not too good of a way to run a business. If they keep something that works, we would have stuck it out if it was something as simple as replacing an ice maker. Excluding the ice maker, we loved the LG refrigerator. It was great.

In September 2011, we purchased an LG gas range. Within a month, we requested a service call because two of the top burners did not operate correctly. Five months since purchase, we now have total failure of the oven (doesnt come on at all) and when it did previously work, the convention option for the oven worked erratic. I still have trouble with two top burners. The grill does not get hot enough to cook a pancake. The largest burner goes out of control with huge flames (scary)! Service person was out two weeks ago and we were informed that replacement parts were not presently available and we will be contacted later. I called again to launch a complaint. I was then told we would receive a call back later that day to report the status of our claim. No call was received.I am a caregiver to an Alzheimer patient who also is diabetic. I have special foods to prepare on this new, pretty stove that doesnt work well enough to prepare a decent meal. I am severely limited in my ability to provide nutritional care for my family member. And, yes, Im angry about the situation. We bought this refrigerator less than 2 years ago (12/2016). A few weeks ago it stopped cooling. A serviceman from the store where we bought the refrigerator came out to service it, and said the coil with the refrigerant was leaking. BUT, he couldnt fix it because LG only lets its own servicemen fix this problem (according to the serviceman thats because so many LG refrigerators refrigerant coils leak). The serviceman said LG would contact me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. 3 days later we hadnt heard from LG. We again called the store where wed purchased the refrigerator and then said they would call LG directly. Even then (after a week without a refrigerator) LG jerked us around. First, someone would be out the next day. Then 3 days later. After someone finally came and fixed the refrigerator, it stopped working again 3 days later! This time we went directly to the store where we had purchased the model, and they agreed to replace the refrigerator. LG wont do squat to rectify their defective product. I purchased an LG refrigerator, double oven, dishwasher, cooktop, and built-in microwave from Home Depot in September 2010 (Along with all new cabinets, total spending was $30K; LG appliance spending was $5k.) After six months, the icemaker stopped producing ice; we called LG, and they replaced the icemaker promptly and at no additional cost. Six months later, the ice cube production started to slow; another six months passed, and ice production stopped. We called LG who directed us to an authorized service provider. The service provider came to the house, checked a few items, lowered the temperature, and turned off the energy saver button. I was charged $127.00. A month later, the service provider came back because the problem wasnt resolved and installed a new icemaker and circuit board. Problem is still not resolved. I called LG to make them aware of the continued failures of the service provider, and they set up a service call for me with their guy. Turns out, he wasnt their guy, and he wanted another $60.00. The problem had not been resolved, and I refused to pay. So, I called LG again while their guy was here (5th call in 2 months). I was once again told by LG it wasnt their problem, that I needed to pay the new service provider, and if I had any continued problems, contact either service provider (neither of which seems to be able to resolve the problem) and deal with them. NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT! I purchased all new appliances for my kitchen. Less than 10 months ago. The seal cracked and the light stays on constant. The sensor is very annoying. Going off all hours of the night. I have called Lowe’s to get nothing but a runaround, called LG numerous times, one service man showed up and never returned. The next appliance repair man notified me and cancelled due to LG not paying service providers for their work. On top of when I call LG, I am placed on hold for over an hour every single phone call and never make any lead way. I actually filed a claim the beginning of November 2018 and just a few days ago they tried to say my warrant had expired. I am irate and feel with all the complaints I have read on here, the company should be shut down by consumer service. How ridiculous to take advantage of consumers. Also, their extended warranty is just like throwing money into a fire. So useless! I have never been so upset over a purchase of any appliance like I am today with LG. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I ever shop at Lowe’s again! Less than one year old and no one will stand good for this “Lemon” of a refrigerator. I hope these people that treat others so bad get what they deserve after leaving this earth. Some of us work hard, do the right thing, and get walked on by shysters like LG. Very, very sad! I teach children to make the right choices in life. How upsetting to have to deal with inconsiderate businesses like LG. I really feel for the people that work for them. I would be embarrassed to admit that I worked for a business like LG. If you can’t afford to stand good for your products, you should just quit building junk!!! It’s a big rip off! LG is JUNK! They will never get my business again. BEWARE of THEIR LEMON PRODUCTS!

Shortly after year warranty machine gives error code 6. Thankfully we had extended warranty. Service mechanic attempted to replace defective clutch after waiting a week for the part, but apparently the nut that holds the unit together corrodes so he had to cut it to remove. After waiting another week for the nut he replaced the defective clutch. Behold the new clutch is supposedly bad. After calling customer service at LG I was told to keep my phone line open and to expect a call from a technician. Sitting here waiting on a call wondering if we will be waiting another two weeks to have it fixed.Thinking if this is going to become another lawsuit issue as they had with the first LG model? Water saving, that is a joke. Takes almost two hours to clean clothes adequately as you need extra rinse to get them rinsed properly. Then wrings them so tight you have to try too untangle them before you can put in dryer. Hope that by end of day something is resolved. Only good thing to say is the extended warranty people have been excellent trying to help, but dont think they are connected to LG.

Bought an LG suite when remodeling our home. Our refrigerator and freezer quit working after 2 year. A call to LG service for repair was met with parts are covered but not labor charges. We were forced to spend $400.00 to get service to schedule repairs. Service tech came and replaced compressor. We are out the $400.00 service call as well as hundreds of $$ in spoiled food! I see where several posters indicated they were compensated for both and am wondering if LG would make good on our claim or is a class action the route we should take?

We purchased our LG stove in 2007. I havent had any problems with the stove top but the oven loses heat fast and takes a long time to recoup. When making cookies I have had to add time on to the cook time and when our kids were staying here and used the oven they did not like it because everything took extra time to cook. Has anyone had any issues like this? I am ready to get rid of it, just not happy. I was told by a repairman that came in for my washer (which is a different brand) that LG doesnt have enough experience to be making stoves and refrigerators. He said LG is hard to work with and they will not service them. Any feedback would be wonderful. When you purchase these appliances you are supposed to be excited, now it just scares me, so much money for them not to perform correctly.

I have an LG French Door Refrigerator LFC25760SB with bottom drawer freezer. Today we discovered that the 2 light bulbs have been staying on even though the doors are closed and the plastic enclosure was extremely hot - both light bulbs blew out at the same time. Now I have read all about this and find out this has been going on in these refrigerators for years and a class action suit was filed and has been settled and closed. Yet we have never had a recall notice or a notice of the lawsuit even though I registered our purchase with LG - so we have no recourse and are stuck with a $1,700 refrigerator with no light inside - not to mention we had to have new tracks put in the freezer door in the first month we owned it and the door still doesnt go in and out smoothly. I would never buy an LG product again - they are complete junk!! And companies will do nothing for you!!

BUYER BEWARE. LG is the worst appliance brand to ever purchase. Please avoid getting anything from them, as I have had the worst experience with their customer service and major appliance I purchased from them. I purchased my refrigerator from hhgregg (which is now out of business, my luck) about 4 years ago. Maybe within a month of this huge investment, we started to have issues with the ice machine. We have had service call numerous times over the ice machine, which is quite shocking all for a simple standard feature on a refrigerator. Thank God we were still under warranty for the ice maker replacements, and even still after the repairs, we continued to have issues with the ice machine. After hhgregg went out of business, so did our warranty servicing. Then, about a month ago, the compressor went out. Thinking that LG would stand by their products and offer servicing, that was not the case. From reading past postings, they are completely aware of the problems with the compressor failing on this model. They had a technician come out who confirmed that the compressor went out and to fix would be $$$$ (costly), and offer a 90-day warranty. The technician recommended that it wasn’t worth it and to go with a completely different brand! I was in complete shock! However, I truly appreciated his honesty, since it confirms that LG dont stand behind their products. Such a huge waste of money and disappointment. So, unless you have money to throw away, stay away from LG refrigerators. MODEL: LFX31925ST.

On July 10, 2016 we purchased an LG refrigerator model # LFX25973D and serial # 602TRRC1Q486. I am disappointed because the product does not work properly. I have contacted LG multiple times and cannot get a satisfactory resolution to our problems. My first contact with LG was to fix an ice maker issue. LG dispatched a repairman on September 27, 2016. They adjusted the temperature and checked the ice chute, but this did not solve the issue so I called them and they came back out on 10/5/16. We had to call LG back to reschedule another repair order and the repairman was dispatched again on 10/18/16. They ordered 2 parts for the refrigerator, a dispenser ice door and a dispenser motor. The motor was shipped, but the ice door was not available at the time. We waited a couple of weeks and had not heard back from LG so we called them again and told them the work had not been completed due to not having the parts requested. They told us they would reissue another work order. We were expecting the same company to come back out but several days later a different company called to schedule an appointment and they came out on 11/25/16 and determined that they needed to replace the left door. The door was ordered and they came back out on 12/7/16 to do the warranty work.Around the end of December during the Christmas holiday the ice maker started acting up again and due to the holiday activities we held off calling LG until after the first of the year. During the 1st week of January we noticed that ice was starting to form on food in the refrigerator so we called LG again and told them that the ice maker was still not working properly and that there was another issue with food freezing in the refrigerator. We were told to adjust the temperature up in the refrigerator a little to avoid freezing and that someone would be dispatched for the ice maker again. We were getting frustrated at this point and requested that we get a replacement, however we were told that was not an option and that they needed to try to repair not replace the appliance. Each time we had to call there was a 3-5 day period of time to schedule the appointment and then another 3-5 days if parts were ordered, but this particular time we had not heard from a repairman for almost 2 weeks so we called the repair company to see if a work order had been scheduled and they told me that it had not. We called LG again to find out what the holdup was and we were informed that no work order had been scheduled and they would issue one, but it would take another 3-5 days to get it scheduled. I let them know that the refrigerator was not working at all and we lost all the food in our refrigerator due to freezing, including the new water filter that we just installed. LG did send me 2 new water filters to replace the cracked one. On February 3, 2017 we received a call from the 3rd different appliance repair company to come out and look at the refrigerator. When he arrived I told him all the issues we had been having and he determined that it needed a new main board to fix the issue of the temperature in the refrigerator and noted that the sensor was not replaceable. He did not look at the ice maker and said all ice makers have issues with ice freezing together and that I should just periodically open the ice door and shake the tray. He came back out on February 8, 2017 and installed the main board and informed me that if this didnt fix the problem not to call him again because he would not know what else to do. We set a bowl of water in the refrigerator just to check it out and it was frozen in the morning so I called LG again and was told they would schedule another repair order. Once again I asked if they could just give us a replacement instead of trying to fix this appliance as I had no confidence that this appliance would ever be fixed and that I had no intentions of paying for service calls after my warranty expired in about 5 months. Once again I was informed that this was not an option and that they needed to get the repairman on the phone with their field technicians to solve the problem. On February 14, 2017 the 4th different repairman was sent to look at our refrigerator. This time they took the refrigerator apart and at first told me that he felt like it could not be fixed. He said that the damper was staying open allowing the freezer air to reach the refrigerator, but he called LGs Field Support and they supposedly walked him through it and thought that it had fixed the problem. At this point he could not check the ice maker issue since we could not get any water to the door because of the frozen water lines. When he left I put another bowl of water in the refrigerator and several hours later noticed that ice was starting to form in the bowl and that now the refrigerator was showing an error message of F5 on the door. I went online to chat with LG about what the error message was and I was informed that it meant that the freezer sensor was bad and would need repair service. I immediately called LG again and told them that I wanted a refund or a replacement and was put off again. The supervisor told me that if I would hold on she would contact the repairman. When she came back online with me she told me that the repairman couldnt find anything wrong with my unit, we called her out on this and said, One of you is lying to us, because he was here for about 3 hours and thoroughly discussed all the issues he saw. Then she said that he didnt find anything that needed parts replaced and that she had dispatched him to come back out first thing in the morning of the 15th to address the error message. I was expecting a call the next day, but never received one so I called the repairman myself and he told me that he had not been dispatched yet. He asked me if I wanted him to come by to look at it and I told him with all the issues that weve had with LG that without a work order not to come.I called LG back and told them once again that a work order that was supposed to have been issued was not and that I was not interested in any more service calls and that I wanted a replacement. I was once again told that it wasnt an option so I informed the supervisor that their warranty said repair or replace and that after 8 service calls and fooling around with this issue since September that I felt like we had given LG ample opportunity to repair our refrigerator. I closed our conversation by letting her know that if they were not going to replace the refrigerator that I would seek resolution through the court system. On 2/15/17 I spoke with an executive supervisor at LG to let them know that I had filed the suit because I had not received any satisfaction from LGs Customer Service Department. She sent me a link so I could send her a copy of my receipt which I did thinking that maybe she would take care of replacing the appliance and I would drop the lawsuit, however we have had no further communications to this point.

Our LG range was emitting dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. After two weeks and first paying a $200 flat fee, an LG approved technician finally came and replaced some parts and fixed it. He said it likely a manufacturers defect but he cant say 100% which means that LG keeps their fee. In the meantime, Ive written two letters to LG (where it says they will reply within 24 hours) and gotten no response, spoken with two customer service managers who show no concern for the fact their appliance put my family in danger, and spent way too much time on hold on the telephone and online chat with very little to show for it. Their lack of customer service is appalling.

I purchased an LG refrigerator February 2008, French doors with bottom freezer. I had issues almost immediately, but were resolved under warranty. However, it took 2 weeks for the parts to arrive. Since the warranty expired, the plastic liner of the right door that has knobs to hold the door racks have broke; the door seals are tearing, there are cracks everywhere on the internal plastic liner; the catch for the top freezer tray broke off. This product is literally falling apart. We have contacted LG about some off these issues, but the response has been you are out of warranty and the repairs are on you. What a great company! Bar none, THE worst dishwasher (dishwasher is an oxymoron) we have ever had. Worse even than the defunct one we replaced. I rinse all dishes but when I unload it I sometimes wonder if water touched anything. Also the soap is dried on the interior door, hello! Does it even rinse the door off? I gave it one star because it is indeed quiet but I have resorted to washing dishes mostly by hand now if I want them all to be reliably cleaned.

I bought this machine 3/10/2014. It has NEVER washed a load in less than 70 minutes. When I called a repairman he said, You use well water. Use WARM WATER, which I do. He recommended a special detergent as well as a special washing machine cleaner, WHICH I tried with no improvement. If the machine is SUPPOSED to wash a load in 35 MINUTES, I EXPECT it to take APPROXIMATELY 35 minutes. If this machine hadnt been so expensive to buy, I would have it hauled to the dump.

This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number lab
This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number label and paperwork stating that we would not hold LG responsible for a hush money settlement of $264.00. The offer had expired while we were pursuing our legal options, so we called and talked to a gal named Courtney who said, “No problem. Send in the paperwork and we will honor the cash hush payment originally offered.” We received a phone call today from a person named Sunyung who originally had made the offer. She informed us that now the offer had gone down to $194.00, because Courtney had no authority to authorize a hush payout. Then, she proceeded to complain and tell me that communication between the people in customer service wasnt what it should be. I told her that sounded like an internal problem and I was not being paid to listen to her and try to figure out how the communication could be rectified within her department! I asked to speak to her superior, and she gave me to Michael. Michael told me that yes, the part was warrantied, but I got one of the small percentage of refrigerators that were unfixable, basically the lemon model, and thats just how the ball bounces. They still would not honor the warranty and told me since the fridge was now a month older, it was worth $70.00 less! This thing hasnt worked for 9 months! I think I will just wait for the class action suit that I am sure will be coming up in the next few years when a lawyer gets a hold of this and wants to make some easy money. I dont care if I get only an 18 cents payout. It is now the principle of the situation. I did tell Michael he could be president with all his doublespeak and asked him why they want to beat their customers up so badly. First, they lie about their warranties; then, they offer you hush money; then, they renege on that. No ethics with these people. Obviously, they have no faith in God because this is just not how you treat people. Life sometimes just isnt fair. This is one of those times.

We replaced older but well-functioning washer and dryer with the upright LG. We were told by the salespersons that this was the best although expensive system. The research we read also led us to believe we were making a great investment. Wrong! The smell and mold that builds up is unbearable. Our room downstairs smells moldy ever since we began using our machine. The washer shakes horribly. We also had an LG serviceman come twice. We paid for his time, travel and service to adjust the legs of the machine. It still shakes and now leaks. Of course, this all started happening once the year warranty expired. When I contacted the LG company directly about the problems, I was directed to use the LG service repair. Beyond disappointed and frustrated. We are worried about the negative impact we may experience with our health with the constant mold that continues to plague the machine. After reading all the logs, something needs to be done about this problem! LG WM2233HW.

We have had the washer and dryer several years. Both units give the worse performance of any washer - dryer combo we have ever owned. The washer has three issues; one, it does not get the clothes clean; two, if you run a load with bleach you have to run an empty load to clean all of the bleach out; three, after every wash you must wipe the door ring out to prevent any odor. The dryer has two issues; one, it does not dry clothes well; two, More lint goes outside than the lint screen catches (we had representative over to look at it and he stated that this is just the way it is with the new dryers). The Customer support responses treat us like children when we get a response. Bottom line, we despise the units and do not recommend to any of our friends.

I bought an LG front load washer and dryer set in 2009, its now 2 years later and guess what? My washing machine is very load during the spin cycle and it wont even spin unless its a small load. It shakes like crazy! It also constantly smells like mold. It does not spin all the water out. This has slowly gotten worse since the day it was new. Never stays level! Now for the dryer. It constantly has to be cleaned out because it gets plugged with lint. Also, it makes a loud thumping noise. I bought the set from home depot. They wont help. Ive complained to LG who either gives you the runaround or hangs up. For the 2000 dollars, I spent on the pair, what a crap! For the way they looked and were sold to me they should work great. I think these were designed and assembled by child labor. Can you please help me?

In 2012 we purchased an LG French Door refrigerator - the most expensive fridge weve ever had - to update our kitchen appliances. In 2013, the freezer section malfunctioned, food defrosted. Since we had the extended warranty, the freezer problem was repaired, but we still had the loss of food. Several months later, we discovered the food in the refrigerator section was freezing. After trying to adjust the temp according to the manual, we called the warranty insurance & since we have the gadget that is supposed to diagnose the problem, allow parts to come with the service person, had this done. Of course he had to order parts. White refrigerator, a black gasket arrived. More parts ordered. Weeks later, same problem. 2nd technician said 1st repair was not done properly, so more parts. More food loss each time. In March 2014, same problem with food freezing in fridge section. We have been waiting 3 weeks for proper parts (again, wrong color gasket seal sent - so another wait). Also yellow discolorations all over the white door, and neither LG nor the warranty insurance will cover this, as its considered cosmetic. So our nearly $3000 refrigerator is the worst appliance weve ever owned. Have complained to LG, nothing resolved. Can you say LEMON? Needless to say, when warranty coverage is over, appliance will be replaced and NOT with an LG!

I thought LG was a good brand name so when we were looking for refrigerators, I was drawn to the style of the French door fridge and we chose it. I wish Id looked at this site first! Exactly three years to the day after purchasing it, it shut down. My freezer was packed and everything had to be thrown out! The fridge stayed cool long enough to salvage some of the contents. Ok, so sometimes products fail, right? Their customer service is THE WORST. They could not be less helpful if they set out to do it! I called the first time and was told by a sugary sweet computer voice that they were too busy and she hung up on me!The next day when I called back I was told by the same computer that my wait would be 7 minutes. The next time my wait time was announced it was 8 minutes. Wait, what? When I finally got to speak to someone, he treated me like an idiot suggesting I didnt have it set on the right temps or didnt close the freezer door correctly. He was infuriating because he knew nothing and was operating from a script that meant he wasnt even thinking. It would have been nice if somewhere they said gee, thats awful. Were sorry. We hope to make it up to you. A friend who works in the electronics field said LG is notorious for not backing up their product. Im going to say this. I wish Id listened to my husband and selected the Samsung fridge!!! Ill never buy another LG appliance again.

My husband and I are teachers and dont make much to begin with, and we are only paid 10 months out of the year. It is our responsibility to be conservative with our money so we often buy in bulk with coupons. Well, last year after we came home from our vacation (not a glamorous one either) to a very hot refrigerator and $400 worth of food that had gone bad, we called and fought with LG customer service who were very rude to us. They refused to replace the food but because it was less than 6 months old and under warranty, they sent someone to fix the problem. Now this summer, we went away again, and came home to a fridge full of moldy food again and another $300 worth of food. At this point, we cannot afford to replace much of it because we wont see another check until the end of September. We were trying to budget and plan ahead. We paid for the extended warranty from PC Richards who has been wonderful thus far. So, they sent someone out to take a look at it, but we were told that this is just a trait of the LGs which have fans that are known to shut down if the food cabin gets too cold and sometimes there is a glitch where the fan wont turn back on again unless the refrigerator is unplugged then plugged in again. So both my husband and I have been on the phone with LG customer service, and they have been nothing but rude. I was told that it was not in the customer service policy to replace the lost food. When I asked them why they had that policy, the supervisor was unable to tell me. She just said that that was their policy. All I asked was why, but she refused to tell me. If I treated the students and parents in my classroom the way LG treated my husband and me, I would be out of a job.

We did not have a lot of options based on the size opening we have in our kitchen and it was the one the best fit our wish list of features and style but that would not involve us having to uninstall cabinets in order to make space. I like side by side doors with the freezer on the bottom. The special compartments in the side door are also a good feature that I didnt know I needed but now wouldnt want to be without. The one thing that I would for sure change is the door alarm timing. I would want to keep it the same for the freezer but wish that we would have the option of making it a little longer for the refrigerator doors. Its not even enough time to grab all the ingredients we need or to put away a full load of groceries.

We purchased the top of the line LG refrigerator in 2015. It broke down with a HUGE $1250 compressor issue in June of 2020. There is a lawsuit on them for SHOTTY compressors. Our refrigerators model was in the lawsuit. LG **ed us for 6 months, telling us they would send out a technician to fix it. THEY NEVER DID. And then had the audacity to tell us they’d only give $800 in a depreciated value. THAT DOESNT FIX SAID REFRIGERATOR OR GET US A SAME MODEL DIFFERENT ONE. Even a 2015 would STILL be $1600. This company jips its clients and LIES to their faces in order to avoid this lawsuit. They are a terrible company and don’t deserve to exist. We will NEVER buy another LG product. PERIOD.

We purchased this dryer from Lowes in Round Rock Texas in February 2016. It was functioning properly until about a month ago. You would hit the power button, select your cycle and hit start. It would chirp and die immediately. A tech came out, said it needed a board. He ordered it and it came in and was replaced. Worked for a day or two and did exactly the same thing. He then stated that the power from the breaker box to the plug had some sort of power fall off.I called the electrician who verified no issues with the power. The LG Tech came back, the problem was not fixed and he stated the same thing. I called the electrician back. We changed out the breaker and the plug. Everything was working as needed but the dryer still would not start once the start button was activated. The tech is coming back tomorrow to check the system. I will repost if we are not successful. For a dryer that costs $1200 this is simply unacceptable.

Including manufacturing, this will now be the third time the same part has been in put in this machine. Clearly defective! I had Whirlpool for over 10 years and never once needed to call for service. Extremely disappointed in LG.

I have 4-year old front load LG washing machine. The door is either wide open or it is locked shut. I hate having to keep the door wide open and if you leave it shut, it stinks! I FINALLY FOUND A SOLUTION - a new product called FRONT LOAD FRESH cost ME ONLY $12.95. Front Load Fresh is a bracket I purchased on Etsy through Simple Life products; it partially holds open any front load washing machine door. Finally my laundry room looks nice and my washing machine no longer stinks. By the way they also have top load Fresh - a bracket to hold open top load washing machines for $12.95 on Etsy.

My LG refrigerator stopped working and it was almost 3 years old. No one will work on the refrigerator due to warranties on certain parts. The service provider in my area is not taking any work orders until after the New Year. It is the compressor which should go up in the little bit of time. The whole experience has been frustrating with LG and trying to find another company to work on this so I didnt have to wait. The compressor from what I understand can take up to 3-4 weeks to come in. Deciding the pay for the labor, not cheap, so made a decision that I didnt want to make since this refrigerator wasnt cheap. So today I decided to purchase a new refrigerator and not wait for this.

My recently purchased LG oven temperatures are totally erratic, occasionally getting so hot as to turn on my smoke detector. While under warranty and after long delays, a service tech came out and made an adjustment. This did not fix the problem and now that my warranty is expired, they want to charge me for another visit. All of the known reliable repair people in my area refuse to work on LG products. I started to troubleshoot the problem on my own and found loose screws, stripped screw heads, and other assembly and manufacturing defects. Im telling all my friends, dont buy LG!

I’m writing about my disgusting experience with LG in regards to my washer WM4370HKA. I’ve had issues that started only within months of the purchase of this brand new washer. And the first technician that showed up was in DEC of last year, replaced parts and several weeks later the issue occurred once again. Repeatedly my washer doesn’t complete cycles and gets stuck with soaked laundry. It doesn’t clean properly and the clothes never come out smelling fresh. December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, I’ve had more than 3 technicians come to diagnose and attempts to fix the issue. They say they will be calling me back to replace parts but no one does. The issue is still ongoing and LG is denying me any service and has not agreed to my request for a replacement. I’m now ashamed to say that almost all my home appliances are LG because this type of service or lack of, shouldn’t happen. They don’t make you feel like a person, and they will do anything to deny you service. They don’t want to acknowledge that the machine is faulty. 1500 dollars and not even 6 months and it’s giving me hell.

DID not show fingerprints - during a brown out of our electric service in a storm this unit continued to run. I never lost any food while all my neighbors lost hundreds of dollars of refrigerated and frozen food. Great unit and wish I had moved it with me when I left NJ.

Bought a microwave in Canada in November to bring south for the winter as we are Canadian snowbirds. Arrived in Yuma, Az and about 2 weeks after arrival the microwave quit working. There is a manufacturing date of July 2015 stamped right on the microwave but all my paperwork for purchase is in Canada. I phoned LG and without the paperwork they will do nothing. I tried desperately to get some paper work from Canada but was unable to get. I therefore have to go buy another microwave to get me through the winter. I can get the micro repaired when I get back to Canada in April and produce the paperwork but then Ill have 2 microwaves which doesnt make much sense. I asked the LG person that I phoned how they could not just repair it when the manufacture date is stamped right on it. NO EXCEPTIONS he said. This to me is absolutely ridiculous. I will never buy another LG product as long as I live.

We purchased an LG fridge August 2015. June 18, 2018 our fridge was not cooling or making ice. Compressor and fans all seem to be running. I have called and emailed LG customer service every single day since today being July 8 2018. I have submitted proof or purchase from our Lowe’s Synchrony credit card I was able to obtain. Submitted email directly from Lowes along with sticker on back of fridge. LG states this is not appropriate documentation and they have provided me numbers for service repairmen. Since reading everyone else review I have decided to just take this piece of crap unit to the dump and buy a unit that doesn’t cost $1,300. Because I am not paying a service repairman $600 Labor plus another $400 for a part that seems like will quit again in 2 more years. Don’t buy LG anything as their company sucks and they do not stand behind their products even though they stated compressor has a 10 year warranty. If you have one take it to the trash now and save you stress level. Thanks to this crappy product I’ve lost $400 in groceries and my newborns breast milk supply.

After fighting a good fight with Sears over my compressor failure after 2 years, on a Kenmore Elite, Sears with much pressure and an inquiry by a local NBC news affiliate replaced our fridge with a LG model last June. I am disappointed and upset to say this LG model has just done the EXACT SAME THING. The compressor has failed and I am so angry. The repairman has said that LG and Kenmore Elite both outsource their parts to Korea and showed us what to be wary of in future when buying a fridge. He also advised us that he spends more time on these models than any other for this same repair. He advised us to just buy a new fridge (suggested Whirlpool) because the cost of repair is not worth it and it will go out again. So LG you have lost a customer and Sears will never get a dollar from me again.

2 year old LG dryer, electrical problems inside the unit. It is sickening to read about so many problems with LG and service. I don’t plan to pay for more than this first repair. It will be on the curb. Get me Hecho En Mexico products, not China.

I’m very disappointed in my LG refrigerator. I only had it 3 years and it broke down twice. Both times we had no refrigerator for almost two weeks. The second time was a compressor which between the repair company and LG suppliers it did not make our Life Good. The new compressor is report-ably an improved version of the original compressor, which begs the question why the cheap one first and what other parts do LG appliances have that are inferior and unreliable. I will never buy an LG product again. I also had medicine that needed to be refrigerated and LG didn’t even care, I was so inconvenienced for almost 2 weeks I had to throw out food and again they didn’t care. Lee and Mary Lou.

Dont buy this thing. LGs warranty is a joke and Costco wont let you return after 90 days. I have been trying for 3 weeks to get my 3.5 year old LG refrigerator fixed under warranty, no one will touch the thing. 3 weeks without a refrigerator and all LG does is give me phone numbers for authorized repair places that dont answer or refuse to work on LGs anymore. Their fancy compressors are failing and there are class action lawsuits working through the courts. Stay far away!
