Issue: The refrigerator (French door LFXS30766S) broke down on 7/4/2018, just couple days after two years warranty. Find out it’s “sealed system” issue and this is still covered by LG for five years. Called LG and reported the issue on 7/6/2018, they have created ticket and mentioned that they will find the technician and assign it. How many days since then? One month now. Technician is yet to come my home and look into issue. In between, I have called so many times to LG, each time their answer is standard, they are still trying to find the technician and escalating the ticket or creates new ticket, which is nothing but their excuse to tell customer to wait for 3-5 business days. I wonder why no technician wants to work with LG, whoever I talked to they either says they are two far away from my destination or they don’t work with LG. I have even asked LG if they can assign work order to “Sears home service” they are reliable and guarantee they will come, but LG says it is not possible for them to assign the work order to Sears. Why? No idea. After so many phone calls and many tickets where are we? Nowhere near the resolution. I wouldn’t recommend LG product anymore. Settlement that I am looking: LG assign reliable tech which I can count on or refund the money.
I got this refrigerator as a package deal and have totally enjoyed using it. The stainless steel fit right in with my renovated kitchen. It’s a side by side and in the future I may consider a refrigerator with a bottom draw as a freezer.
I had a front load washer for years from Sears. My daughter purchased an LG front load from Lowes and it is always full of mold. She said she will never buy another front load. It is truly a shame. My mom had a front load when I was growing up. I purchased the Sears one in my 40s and loved it. This one though has been a nightmare.
I purchased the LG washer a year ago. I have been dissatisfied since day one. Tried every cycle, but the clothes are all tangled up at the end of every cycle. You try to take the clothes apart and end up with a left arm of a shirt twice the length of the other. Its awful, the clothes come out all stretched out from trying to pull them apart. I loved my old FRONT load washer. All clothes were washed properly. With this top load, not all clothes get a good wash. Never again top load. No use calling LG. They will tell me: Too bad sucker. We got you for 2K.
Our upside down fridge has been tremendous with inky 2 exceptions. The door trays are too flimsy, even though I do not load them with too heavy items. The freezer baskets allow things to fall through or get caught. The baskets need to be of a solid material and not open weave.
The ABSOLUTE WORST company and customer service!! I purchased a French door refrigerator in May through JCPenney. I also purchased the extended warranty. Five months later the refrigerator showed an error code - dhF. I called LG and they sent a serviceman who walked in the house, looked at the code and said he did not have the parts needed to fix it. I asked him how he knew what he needed without opening the refrigerator and he stated that it is a problem that LG knows about but continues to sell defective equipment anyway, they just sent someone out to replace parts. Needless to say, I was not happy. I called JCPenney who pushed me off to LG and have spoken with a total of 11 different people, all who have done nothing to help me. I want the refrigerator replaced. Thanksgiving Day, it stopped working altogether and we had to scramble to get coolers and buy a small refrigerator to place some food in. Today, the day after Thanksgiving, all of LG supervisors are on extended break because of the holiday. DO NOT EVER purchase anything from this company. It is criminal that they sell defective appliances and know about it. All they care about is the bottom line. If there was a choice for 0 stars, that is what they would be rated.
I bought an LG refrigerator, french door model, for my new home. I did purchase the extended warranty but it didnt take a year for problems to arise. 3 months after purchase I had front panel moisture, then the fridge and freezer stopped working. Three repair visits and 2.4 months later, they were unable to fix the fridge. Lost Enbrel shots (3K worth), all condiments, fruit, veggies, etc. There are no provisions from LG to compensate you at all for any loss. No fridge in the interim to live? - LG not concerned. A local appliance company sent me a loaner when things got desperate. The lack of quick follow-up, poor attitude on the phone, lack of interest in finding a repair company that will come out to fix the appliance and a general interest in taking care of the problem was outrageous. Literally have never had this kind of experience. 3 months... Why didnt LG recognize it might be a bad unit and move to replace the appliance? I will tell everyone I know, the builder who has much of the business here, neighbors, workmates, etc. to not buy LG appliances. That is my only power as a consumer. I understand if things break - what I dont understand is a company failing to stand behind a $2600.00 appliance that is 3 months old. Shame on LG!
Washer is staining clothing, and the stains will not come out. Ive had 2 repair people (both sent by LG) come out and they have both told me it should be replaced. After numerous calls to LG, and their stating they never got any feedback from the repair techs, they finally tracked down the comments. LG has said that the feedback they received from the first service tech was he couldnt find the problem...and since he didnt even take out any tools to dismantle the machine, that is true. But when he told me it should be replaced, and that would be what he would communicate to LG, I believed him. After asking for a 2nd opinion, they sent a 2nd tech who also advised it should be replaced. However, LG said that 2nd tech said it needed to be repaired but that I declined further service (which is absolutely false). Happy to have it repaired, replaced, whatever...just want to have a washing machine that doesnt leave stains on my clothing...but it seems LG doesnt want to replace a faulty product, nor do they want to send qualified repair people to actually address the problem. Super frustrated, and will never buy another LG product again, as this experience has been completely awful.
We have called for service to show up. They showed up twice for the same problem. Humming really loud (especially when compressor comes on). Came in once and tightened screws. Made it worse. Came in a second time and Placed rubber in refrigerator to stop it from humming so loud. Still did not repair it. Now when we call we can never get anyone to answer. Tried every day from 6/23/20 - 7/6/20. All day hold on line, never an answer. Wife and I would call at the same time just to see if we could get anyone to answer. Our warranty ran out today! It has been a year. Worst refrigerator we have ever bought as far as getting repairs done. UPDATE - Called on 7/7/20 - 8:00 AM. Tells us that our case is closed and referred us to a appliance repair dealer. So upset.
I liked our LG appliances just fine, until something went wrong. Luckily we purchased the extended warranty from Home Depot for our side-by-side refrigerator. Exactly three years later it isnt cooling and I called to have it repaired. It is going to be TWO WEEKS before someone can come and look at it. I called Home Depot to complain and they informed me that LG will no longer allow anyone except LG service people to make service calls, so their hands are tied. TWO WEEKS before and even sending anyone out. In my opinion this is horrible customer service from LG and I wish someone at Home Depot would have informed me of the repair issues prior to selling me the Extended Warranty.
This was my first appliance purchase after the machine that came with my first home broke down unexpectedly. For several months I started researching washing machine features in multiple ways and LG kept showing up. The price, features and dependability of this appliance has earned my vote.
I purchased my LG washer in January of this year and I couldnt be more disappointed! Im constantly getting the UE (unbalanced) code when it tries to spin so then it fills back up with water and tries to automatically rebalance itself - which never works - and what a huge waste of water!!! I have to stand over my washer and constantly rearrange my clothes numerous times until it works and sometimes it doesnt if the load is small. Actually you cant even do a small load in this machine due to this problem. I end up going old school and wringing out my clothes by hand! I so wish I had my old washer back as this is awful. I wouldnt recommend this washer to anyone.
We purchased this refrigerator from Home Depot in April of 2016. One year in, we started to hear a loud rattling sound. The repairman said it was build up of ice around the fan. Fan had to be replaced and fridge defrosted and told me to keep all the seals maintained with vaseline to keep it from happening again. Now, another year later, the unit has stopped cooling. All the food in the freezer had defrosted and fridge was warm. LGs website listed two service companies in our area. First one doesnt do fridges anymore. Second one had terrible reviews so I didnt call them. Had the same repairman come out that did the fan and he says the compressor has failed. This really needs to be a class action suit against LG... So many people have the same issues and we paid close to $4000 for this refrigerator.
Lg is a big brand that they have quality products. I love LG appliances better than I like the phones. I have the lg stainless steel fridge that has double doors. I feel as though the company gave us a great item! The item was thought out and delivered in the best condition available. We love the fridge, it holds so much stuff and blows pretty cold! We have plenty of storage for produce and frozen. If I would update anything it would be the size of the fridge. We love big spacious fridges. Again, you get what you pay for.
Wf t6017pc automatic washing machine - Hi guys! I purchased the unit since 2005. Its worth it. Been 10yrs yet it didnt give us headache. Until recently, I’m hearing this sound like there’s a coin or sharp object inside it while spinning. The sound is alarming. What seems to be the problem? Please help? Thank you.
I purchased an LG Dishwasher LDP6797ST on 1/27/18. On 1/21/19 just 6 days before the warranty would have expired the dishwasher wouldn't power on. A day later it powered on but wouldn't function properly. Scared I would have warranty expiration problems, I quickly purchased an additional 2 year extension and sent in a service repair via LG website. Two days later they contacted me and tried some troubleshooting over the phone. It didn't work so the rep said someone would contact me. The repairman contacted me 2 days later and said he needed to order a power board. Two days later he called and stated he was coming to repair. He showed and made the repair and the dishwasher has been working flawlessly. I also have had an OLED TV for 2 years and never experienced any problems with it.
Worst washer I ever purchased! Every load sends uneven balance message and if you are not right there will continue to rinse and spin for hours! Have to out anything with less or stays in mesh bag before washing! I HATE this washer and am frustrated that I need to buy a new one in less than 2 years! Do not buy this.
LG Ultra Capacity WM2101HW Washer Garbage. I purchased this LG washer based upon the reviews of Consumer Reports - BIG MISTAKE. This washer has been loud from day 1 and started leaking about 4 months later. As others have said it unbalances and gives error codes often. I had it repaired once because it stopped draining. A technician visit and parts cost $400 -- that is when I learned that you actually have to drain it yourself. Who designs such a washer in this day and age? Now brown liquid is coming out of the back of the machine and my clothes and sheets smell like sewer after they have been through a complete cycle. I leave the door and soap compartment open between uses. What a waste of money - horrible product. DO NOT BUY LG. I will replace this POS as soon as I can afford.
I hope there is a recall on this washing machine. I paid top dollar for the Worst Machine ever. The machine doesnt dispense enough water to clean the cloth. The cloth has a nasty odor after washing them. The machine itself has a nasty odor as well. I have tried many, many kinds of detergent but nothing seems to help. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NEVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS AGAIN.
Bought this DW because the guy at Home Depot told us it was the top of the line... it was the most expensive. It looked awesome, and seemed to have great features. We spend near $1000 on it. If you like to wash your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, and again before you put them back in the cupboards... This is a great dishwasher. About 1 in 10 items comes out remotely clean (cutlery 1 in 40). The racks are useless and cause domino effect of falling plates every time you load it. Nothing seems to fit in any of the many racking configurations. If I ever win the lotto, Im taking a sledgehammer to this thing, it is by far the worst appliance I ever bought. I will NEVER buy anything LG again.
DEAR LG I REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT SAMSUNG IS BETTER THAN LG, I HAVE WORST EXPERIENCE FROM YOUR COMPANY OR SERVICE... If anyone wants to buy fridge or any product from LG so I request you THINK before purchase, otherwise go to another company but never purchase LG product.. Their service was too much bad, actually we are buy one double door fridge from Nov. 2017, and Nov 2021 cooling problems and they come or take a charge for gas refueling 2800, and after 15 days same problems again and not again its again and again. Then they decided to take that fridge take to lg service center in the middle of Jan 2022, and whenever we call to service center they said only two words, We will inform you within 2 days. But never we got update... And again we call March 11 and they call back us and said, Your fridge was not working. Some cooling issues, and immediately we asked now what, AND THEY SAID, WE WILL CUT OFF 75% AMOUNT AND WE REFUND 25%. And my fridge was arounds 28,000 price when we purchase... Now Im asking to LG My fridge was now 4 years only then how said and where you got this rules 75% cut off the amount, Shame on you LG, SAMSUNG WAS BETTER THAN YOU FROM THE SERVICE....
We loved this fridge for about the first 3 months. Then the optional second ice maker that we purchased would take a week to fill. We were told the air temp in AZ was too hot for the fridge to produce ice any faster!! Really, how stupid do you think we are? We have had at least 10 visits to repair this issue and now the upper part of the fridge is fluctuating from 30-42 degrees when set at 37. We are losing food to spoilage and freezing. We are paying for all the spoilage. The battle continues to have this fridge operate as it should. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. I will not buy LG again.
We have had our LG Microwave for about 2 years, but today it started on fire when I went to re-heat up two slices of pre-cooked bacon. Pretty much as soon as it started, the right side wall started on fire! We opened the door and unplugged it. We are very disappointed with the quality of this microwave, model LMC0975ST. We have purchased two LG refrigerators for homes, two LG televisions and they have all been great, but not the LG microwave. I know this is a new technology, Smart Inverter, LG has claimed to put into these microwaves, so I can only speculate as to whether or not this had anything to do with the fire.
I received this machine (LG washing machine WM3670HA) in January of 2017, in January of 2018 there was a problem with the motor that drains the machine, the machine would no longer work. I contacted the company, their customer support people really cannot help you and you go in circles with them. Appliance service companies do not want to do LG warranty work. It is February and I still have not had my machine serviced. I have never had a washing machine not work, especially a very expensive machine that I have had for just under a year. I have usually had Kenmore machines in the past and they have worked for many a year. I should not have bought a different brand and definitely should not have bought an LG.
My experience with LG has not been great considering that it took a month to get my French-door refrigerator fixed this summer. I got this unit because I liked the design. Its compressor went out and I called the warranty company Asurion and they kept telling me that it had to be LG alone to fix it. It took two weeks to finally get somebody to get here. The first person who came out was here for four and a half hours and he did things incorrectly. The first compressor that they put in ended up being broken itself too. So then, they had to order a whole another compressor and dryer again. Then, even though it was delivered to my house within five days, it was two weeks before I got the second technician to come and fix what the first tech did. So, not very happy at all. The techs were friendly and courteous, though. Also, whenever I called LG a couple of weeks ago when the unit was acting up, they got on it very quickly and was able to call a different company to come and work on it. So, I was happy with that. Still, since the repair the refrigerator has been off and on. I have to keep hitting my breaker and resetting my refrigerator from time to time. The panel board will lock up for no reason at all. We dont know why it does that. Also, the ice maker will stop working for a couple of days at a time and it makes noises. Then it will fix itself and go back to working. I wont buy another one.
I purchased an LG refrigerator from Costco... Its a piece of junk and failed after 1 1/2 years. Costcos web page claims if you buy a major appliance from them it will have a two year warranty. However, neither LG or Costco and their claimed concierge service are truthful. Its just not the case. I have been trying to get this resolved for two weeks. My family has no refrigerator... thus no cold food. It was planned for the rest of my family to come for Christmas. Now that is not going to happen as I have no way to preserve food and prepare it. Costco and LG have ruined the Christmas for my family. Never buy an LG appliance as they do not support it. Dont believe Costco...their two year plan and concierge service is a joke. I literally have been on hold with both of these companies for at a minimum of six hours and gotten nowhere. This is the worst product support I have ever had in my life...and I am no spring chicken.
I bought a Range in June 2013 and delivered in September 2013. In mid-December, leaving the chicken from the oven, I heard a crack. I found that the window was cracked. I contacted I contacted LG and Home depot and after several semanes they brought a company to examine the glass. A cracked window is aesthetic. The representative of the insurance company told me to wait, it completely crazy and it falls. What will you do without it if I use the self cleaning. Why pay an extended warranty? LG Why not admit that the glass has a manufacturing defect to change the door of an oven that has a defect? I have this range for only 15 months, and I used the oven only 8 times.
Top of the line, kept my food fresh and delicious and easy to maintain temperature controls, it has a very attractive sleek look about it, very easy to organize my food and store what I needed it an organized fashion, energy-efficient, great capacity, lots of storage. I like it just the way it is - no changes please. I am happy with the way it is. I can think of nothing to change. Everything was kept fresh and It worked and met my needs the way it is. It came highly rated and recommended all over online as one of the best refrigerators.
I chose to buy it because it was a good price and the correct size and color, and also the LG refrigerator met my initial expectations. The LG refrigerator had basic features. For example, it kept my food very chilly, nice and cold but not too cold. Just right I would say. The only thing I dont like about really any refrigerator is that they dont have a self clean option.
LG French Door refrigerator. Compressor needed to be replaced. Very poor service from A&E Factory Service. Still waiting to be paid for the food spoiled. This should have been a recall on the compressor before it failed.
I have had LG service out to fix my 15 month old stove 6 times and it still wont maintain a temperature. The LG service department will not change out the defective stove saying that the replacement parts put on to NOT fix the problem werent major parts. They can set up a 7th service call to NOT fix it again. They stink AND the product stinks.
LG WT1101CW - Bought new just over 1 1/2 years. It worked fine for over a year and now it cannot complete a load without stopping because it is out of balance. Had a repairman check it out and he stated that LG said it needed the new update control board at a cost of over $500.00 before he could even diagnose problems. This is almost as much as a new machine. Obviously they are aware of a problem if the main control board is already being updated. The repairman said he could not guarantee that this would fix the problem. This machine is horrible. Contacted LG customer service and they could not diagnose using their phone diagnostic system. They stated they could give us a repair company name and stated the machine was out of warranty.
Updated on 06/21/2019: Terrible service, Read reviews please prior to buying, Parts are impossible to get once needed. I have 6 yr old fridge that cost $3500 and we havent been able to get parts since April 9th. First part took 4 weeks to get and it was defective. It was manufactured 2 weeks after we ordered it. Ordered another control board the first of May and they keep delaying ship date. Now saying June 27th. Every week they move it back.Original Review: We have been unable to get parts for our 6 yr old $3500 refrigerator. Ordered April 9th and still nothing, every few days they give us a different answer. WE have been told they use a different board for almost every fridge and dont keep them in stock?? Now saying May 7th. Who can go without a fridge that long? We have children and new fresh items.
We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?
LG customer service is the worst ever. Ive been dealing with them for almost a week and as of yet no one has called me back. They either have me on hold for three hours or they disconnect me. They that they understand and they or that they are sorry. I have a child with special needs and a special diet and they dont even care. My refrigerator its on its third repair. I just want a new replacement or financial reimbursement. I would never buy an LG appliance and I advise anyone who is thinking of purchasing an LG refrigerator to stay away and purchase another brand.
The LG 4715 is the worst appliance — not oven, appliance — I’ve ever bought. One would think that there would be a simple way to set the temperature and turn it on. After all, isn’t that what 99% of consumers want from an oven? Good luck. Whoever designed this oven was more focused on the cute noises it makes, not its basic functionality. And the instructions are even worse. Plainly, whoever wrote the instructions never actually used this oven. Seven years of higher education, plus a year as a short-order cook in a commercial kitchen, and it still took me a half hour just to turn the damn thing on. Calling the company led me to a voicemail. They’re closed at supper time. Trust me — look elsewhere.
I order a part (freezer fan) for my refrigerator (7 years old) on 10-21-16 and is in manufacturer backorder until according to LG, 12-31-16. After several calls to LG customer service (first call answered from Philippines) without answers. Today I call LG parts. They transfer me to east coast parts authorized store (NOT LG) and they gave me the 12-31-16 date. When I ask why take too long she said because the refrigerator is old and they do not stock parts from discontinued models. Sears sold 750 of this failing fans. That means they have a quality problem with the product and should have stock to resolve the inconvenience. Recommendation STAY AWAY FROM LG PRODUCTS.
Do not buy an LG Refrigerator with a linear system. Im stuck with a fridge that is a year old and doesnt cool. Apparently this is a known issue and theres a class action lawsuit. Buy a different brand. I wish I had. Now Im living out of coolers until they get around a technician for me sometime next week.
Three years ago I purchased the LG WT4870C washer -- a He top loader with stainless tub. Its been less than a satisfying experience owning it. The unit flashes the IE error code on virtually every load of laundry. Since my washer is in the basement, Im blissfully unaware of the error code. So, the wash cycle practically never finished when I expect; Ive come to count on it taking twice as long to do laundry as it should. The IE error code indicates a dirty water filter, and I wonder how I ever existed for years with my old washer -- it never gave me a bit of trouble related to water quality. This unit is so sophisticated. It can actually sync to your smart phone. Who gives a damn!! Can I start a wash cycle and add clothes as the tub is filling with water? Nope! I like to do that to save time, but LG thinks its a good idea to lock the lid so you must get all your dirty clothes inside the tub before you start. You cannot open that sucker while its working. Not happening. And, in this great freedom-loving country of ours, do I get to choose how much water to use to wash my clothes? Nope! I should be able to wash one sock with 10 gallons of water if I choose. Whether or not I have my own well (which I do), it should be my choice. Sometimes I just want to soak -- I mean truly SOAK -- something in water. The control freaks at LG decided to be clever and prevent the user from exercising this right. You will use exactly the amount of water THEY want you to use. Seems very un-American to me. In short, simple is usually better, and the LG WT4870C is not simple. Dont be drawn in by all the bright lights and fancy chimes. This unit is overpriced and the product of Big Brothers crack team of controllers. I wish I had not bought it.
Bought a LG dishwasher 3 years ago and it needs to already be replaced. I am very disappointed that this unit went bad so quickly especially since previous dishwasher lasted longer than this LG unit. Hope if we decide to purchase another one at Home Depot we have better luck. Otherwise we will go a different direction. Thanks.
I have an LG Tromm Washer and Dryer. I have only had it for a few years. As others have complained, the washer has a foul smell due to the mold that grows as a result of the water getting trapped in the rubber door seal (poor design/manufacturer defect). Its not like LG did not know about it. Look at all of the complaints. There is definitely negligence on their part at this point. At the very least, there should have been a label put on the machine that warns you not to use it in a small space, which is unrealistic since most laundry rooms are not large. How come this product has not been recalled due to the health hazard? In addition now, I cant find the reason why the dryer does not make any noise (although it does turn on) and the washer wont even turn on! Maybe this is a blessing in disguise to get rid of these machines. Unfortunately, most people are being duped out of a small fortune to buy them without being fully informed of the health hazard. This may need additional legal action. My child now has respiratory problems/asthma and is on medication daily. I have also developed an adult-onset asthma.
I cant wash a small load nor can I wash a large load due to balance problems. However, I am stuck with it because LG will not honor the warranty. In fact, the only reason I bought the LG was based on Consumer Report reviews.
We purchased a new LG refrigerator when we purchased our home in 2017. We had renovations going on and our right hand door was damaged/dented by a contractor. The contractor offered to replace the door so I contacted an LG recommend appliance parts and service place to replace the door. A week later they returned with a substitute that did not work so they said they would be back a couple of weeks when the correct door came in, that was October 2018 and I have been waiting ever since. All my phone calls to the appliance repair people end with them saying it still has not come in, it’s on backorder. At one point I called LG who confirmed the door is on backorder! Seriously it has been almost a year. Of course I had to pay the appliance repair person for the house call even though I told them the door needed to be replaced due to dents but they said that money would go towards the new door. At this point I am not sure I am going to get a new door. Had I realized we would receive such poor customer service I never would have gone with LG, we also purchased a 65” LG TV, and washer and dryer. I hope LG will help us with our dilemma.
LG was nice enough to replace the exterior of our appliances upon the finish was chipping off. But 10 mins after the repair person for the refrigerator left, the unit report an error code and the Ice & Water dispenser stopped working. I immediately called LG and they stated someone will call me within 24-48 hrs to schedule repair, this was on Friday afternoon. I called LG on Tuesday, stating I have not gotten a call back - they stated it hasnt been the full 24-48 hrs yet. So, I called again on Wednesday and they were surprised I didnt get a call and told me I show call someone else, at which point I asked to speak to supervisor and they transferred me to the Executive Customer Service... Spoke with that person and they basically stated its 3-5 business days to receive a call... I stated, But that not what I was told and this is because your person broke my refrigerator... shouldnt you expedite it since you caused the problem. Essential I got nowhere with this person. I sent an email that day Wed. 12/11/2019 to Head of Support and CEO... never heard a response from my email - so LG basically doesnt care.
I am also using LG WT5070CW washing machine by 2 years, but I dont face any problem in it. If you feel that the washer is moving slow then customize settings by little process that is Press POWER and turn DIAL to the desired cycle. Press TURBOWASH. The washer will automatically adjust the cycle settings. Set any other desired options. Press START/PAUSE button. By doing this performance of machine become effective. Or you can also take help from LG WT5070CW Manual- ** to use 6 motion technology of LG machine.
I bought Brand New LG Refrigerator last year MAY 2018, and now its compressor goes bad on May 26th, 2019 - In one year. I have called LG numerous time. Their Tech show up with new Compressor. Goes bad again after 3 days. Tech came back again, replace compressor after a week but not cooling. Now the Tech visit 5th time as of today 07/08/2019 - NOT ABLE TO FIX THE ISSUES, 41 days pass by...So, here are my comments: Buy LG, if you dont want to be with your wife. Buy LG, if you dont want to feed your kids healthy food - almost a month I am feeding them Junk. Buy LG, If you want to listen their customer service BS and oh sorry sorry again and again. Buy LG, if you need to take off from your work just to stay with LG tech. Buy LG, if you want your whole house smell like Freon GAS while tech is on working. Buy LG, if you want to see black sticky stuff all around your house due to Tech soldering the new compressors and freezer lines. Buy LG, if you like to listen LG customer support every time saying, Sir this is our last time to trying to Fix and then will replace your unit with New one. BS Please Please. LG is a pain and worst company for home appliances. Life Sucksss.. :( They should NOT allowed to sell their products in U.S. consumers.
Had microwave for around 11 months. Glass started to peel on the inside manufacture defect. Contacted LG numerous times sent pictures. Pictures of receipt and delivery receipt first they were going to send me a box and return it then they change their mind and said that before they could give me a refund because they dont repair countertop microwaves. They said first I had to buy a new LG microwave then send them pictures of the old labels cut or destroyed. Of the old microwave then they would give me refund. I proceeded to tell them that I did not want to buy another LG microwave because I thought they were crap and I should not have to buy another of their products. That didnt go over so well. All I wanted was the microwave to be repaired or replaced. I will not be forced to buy another one of their products. I already have the stove and refrigerator that had to be repaired five times in the first year. Part of a companys integrity is stand behind their product when something goes wrong and not forcing you to buy their product but instead encourage you to buy their product again by the service you received when something goes wrong. Now all I can think of is going to college for 8 years to become a lawyer to sue LG over their refund and return policies. But in reality will probably just use their piece of crap microwave for target practice to cite in my rifle.
I bought an LG Refrigerator #LFC25770 in November 2008. I paid over $1,500.00 for the French door style with bottom drawer freezer. The compressor keeps coming on and then clicks right off. The freezer thawed and the refrigerator no longer cooled. After doing research online, find that the cause might be the starter relay. I tried to order the part and it is no longer available. You now have to replace the relay, thermostat and compressor; should have been a warning that LG has had this issue before. I called LG customer service since the sealed system was still under warranty for parts. They gave me several contacts that did the warranty service for them. However, no one comes out to my location. I called LG back and they gave me several more names. I called all and once again either they dont service LG or they dont come to my area. Again, I called LG who gave me more names and numbers. Did I mention the time I was wasting and the cost of long distance calls? I was told it was my problem since nobody would come out. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was transferred and explained the issues with LG and he said he would make the calls and try to find someone. To say I am not happy with LG would be putting it mildly. The products and the service suck.
On Sat. Oct 18, 2014, my brother went into the LG fridge to get something, when he called out to get my attention. I thought it was smoke from oven. All attempt to locate fire in the oven was lean. I opened the kitchen window to air out the smoke. A few minutes later, my son goes to the same fridge in search of something and calls out with a more assured voice, dad I think the smoke is coming from the refrigerator. Upon getting back to the fridge, I opened the fridge part. It was smoke filled. The light was out. Toward the bottom of the fridge, I discovered that the egg carton on top of the cold buckets was on fire. It was still burning. The 18 count egg carton was totally top obliterated, plus a hole ate to the bottom. Bad deal.We recorded the whole experience and took a few pictures. I called LG and spoke to a rep who seemed to be empathetic. LG decided they would have a technician contact me, but non was available for the next two weeks. The rep told us that she would call me the next day after getting to work, at about 08:30, with a possible contact. She didnt. When my wife called them, she got nothing but the run around. Two days later, I spoke with a rep who was not getting to the bottom of the issue. Then I requested to talk to a manager. The manager patched the issue over to the Executive team, who made the decision after seeing the videos and pictures, that the fire was no fault of theirs. LG never sent a technician to look at my LG refrigerator. LG said people call and complain for different reasons. Thats subject to anyones interpretation. The long and short of the story is that cold refrigerators should never burn inside. It should smother out fire, not attract it.
Worst washing machine I have ever owned. This machine does not clean your clothes. It was expensive too. The company isnt any help. Dont waste your money or time on this machine. I wish I would have read these reviews before I bought.
We purchased a LG front load dryer (DLGX2651W) two years ago at Best Buy. Within the first year of owning the dryer the motor began making loud clanging noises and we had to have it replaced (professional repair by a serviceman sent by LG). Now it appears the replacement motor has gone out as the dryer will turn on but wont blow air or turn the drum. The Smart Diagnostics have not been helpful at all as they say the dryer is fine. We contacted LG and they denied our warranty claim, stating that we had to call in the same issue three time in order to get coverage. We are most displeased that this dryer has broken twice in the short time that we have owned it and are very upset at the prospect of having to pay for yet another repair on a dryer that is only two years old. This is not the level of quality or customer service we expect from LG and make me think twice about buying another LG appliance.
After reading many customer reviews I have to chime in. We bought an LG refrigerator 10 months ago. The compressor went out had to wait two weeks for the technician to come out to tell me the compressor was out. I told them when I called, when the technician comes out have him bring a new compressor. No they have to diagnose the problem first. All you have to do is read every review out there and you will know the compressor is the problem. Which brings me to today, yesterday the technician from A&E came out to put in the compressor that was sent to my house. We went to my grandsons birthday party only to come home and find my refrigerator warmer on the inside than I was on the outside. Living without a refrigerator is a nightmare, and then not knowing if it will work after the repair is even worse. So here we sit with a large paper weight in our kitchen!!! They continued to send out defective compressors. I am now waiting another week for the repair technician to come back out to diagnose a defective compressor.Too many people are suffering because of their incompetence. We cannot let the consumers in the United States continue to be treated this way by LG. Thanks to all the people who have written their complaints online.
This is strictly a review. I purchased this washer (LG Washer WT110CW) as to the high standard that Consumer Reports gave it. I hate it. Your standard wash cycle is 57 minutes. There is a load for bulky, whites, etc. but some have a cycle up to 113 minutes. They do have a quick load of 35 minutes, but thats the least. Then it spins to the point of almost drying and your clothes by then are so wrinkled, that the dryer will not take them out and now I have to iron these items. It was over $600 with tax, so I just cant go buy another one. Way too much computerized options that take forever. I want my Kenmore back that gave me very little problems and a load was done in 30 minutes (no matter what it was).
I have had a bosch ventless dryer for over 10 years. I know they can be finicky, and my Bosch definitely had its issues. When it came time to replace I thought I was going to be stepping up in terms of technology and quality with LG. The washer has been fine. The dryer started leaking on the second day I used it. The repair guy said it was leaking from the drum, rust had already started so he suggested I call and have LG bring a new unit. Second unit came and it started leaking immediately too. The leaking is about 1-2 cups of water that comes out of the bottom somewhere.A second issue is the dryer is constantly stopping on its own. Just about 10 minutes in the cycle it will stop and beep. To finish a whole cycle, the button has to be pushed about 4 times.I am in the process of having Home Depot switch this one out. Im tempted to just have them return it and take my money to Best Buy to buy a Bosch dryer, but then Ill have a mismatched set for the next ten years. Im so furious at this point because I did my homework and these dryers have been such a bust.
Got an LG fridge 3 years and 1 month ago. Had to have someone come fix the ice machine about the 2 year mark and now its not cooling at all (fridge or freezer). Called warranty. They passed me along to the extended warranty where I had to diagnose the issue through a series of yes no problems. When I finally speak to someone they say they are ordering parts and the repair date is 1 week later. The repair day come with no contact. So I called to see if we are still scheduled and find out the parts are not in and it will be 4 more days before its fixed. 2 weeks to order parts and fix a 3 year old fridge. Next time I would rather get a new one from different company. Save time, stress, lost food and frustration by going with another brand.
I spent a lot of money on the MOST expensive LG refrigerator, stove with two ovens, dishwasher and microwave. The refrigerator model: LFXS30726S/00 is the French doors on top and the pull out lower freezer with 2 drawers on bottom. I have had these for three years. I have 5 kids. We live in a nice, well kept home. Nobody trashes our things and yet these expensive appliances have failed us many times.Refrigerator started collecting ice in the very back behind the panel (2 months into owning it). The compressor is bad after 3 years of owning. The part is covered but I have to pay $400 towards the labor and the parts not covered. I just lost 100s of dollars of groceries (just went to Costco and stocked up two days ago). The repairman says that he replaces this exact part over and over. LG knows that the compressor is bad and they won’t fix it. LG has foreigners who can barely speak English take your calls and they play dumb. The dishwasher is all scratched up and dented from little bumps that never dented my GE Profile appliances (granted they were not stainless). The upper and lower oven are a great concept but the upper oven burns the bottom of almost everything. The glass panel on the lower oven door had what looks like dark grease running in between the glass panels and you can’t clean it.The microwave has been pretty good but it came shipped with a broken part. The refrigerator water filters are super expensive for what? THEY ALWAYS LOOK DIRTY. ALL PRINTS SHOW UP. Every little thing shows up on the stainless. Sears told me that they had upgraded the stainless on this product and the handprints don’t show like it used to... BULL CRAP. They look dirty from the time you get them until eternity. You can wash them every single day and they still look streaky and just plain embarrassing. And to top it off, we have no refrigerator for 6 people until Feb 28th providing that the part comes in on time. He says that the compressors go out on almost every one of these refrigerators and they are perpetually on back order. LG, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This stinks. I cannot afford to take 6 people out to eat every day. I trusted your name and fell for the looks of the product. Super disappointed with this purchase!!!
When I first got my LG washing machine in two thousand and 10 all seem to work well, and then all of a sudden on certain items of clothing it leaves oil stains on the clothes. I just write a review showing that someone else had the exact same problem, with no luck in getting a response. I guess its time to buy a new machine.
Bought LG 2050 washer about 3 years ago. About 1 year ago, washer would leak on occasion, not that much water. I called LG and they told me to clean washer and they questioned me on detergent use. I used the correct amount and type of detergent. But LG kept saying that the leakage issue was my fault and that it would go away. Well, a week ago, water started pouring out of washer. Looked at washer and determined it is leaking from the seal. Very difficult and expensive to repair. I am very disappointed and feel that I was misled by LG.
I shudder reading the complaints and expect only the best from my new machine which is doing fine so far. But I am 51 and I cannot reach into the washer to take out washed clothes unless I stand on a stool. I did not buy stackables because in a few years, I will be 80 and I didnt want to be standing on a stool to remove clothes from a stacked dryer. Thats an accident waiting to happen. But guess what--Im on the step stool now! Arrrrrrrrrrgh.
I purchased the LG refrigerator in June 2016 from Home Depot. The compressor failed July 2017. Fortunately, I had purchased the extended 5-year warranty through Home Depot; however, the on going saga of trying to get the unit repaired is unacceptable. It took nearly 10 days to get repairman to the house to diagnose the problem. There were no compressors anywhere within the United States to replace the defective compressor. The compressor was back ordered with a promised delivery date 10 days after the repairman had diagnosed the problem. I expected the compressor to arrive by August 3rd. I was recently informed that it would not arrive before August 17th with a possible installation to occur within 1 to 3 days after that date! This would be over a month to get the refrigerator repaired. In discussing the problem with the repairman, he informed me that he is seeing numerous compressor problems with the LG refrigerator. Home Depot, although not acknowledging a problem, was good enough to offer a small refrigerator to provide some form of unit for us to have in the interim. I suspect that they know that LG has a major problem that is being swept under the rug. This is a problem that needs further investigation.I honestly want Home Depot to take the unit back, so I can replace it with another brand. It was the top of the line LG refrigerator, in which I paid nearly $3000. Compressors should not fail within a years time, and if they do, there should be replacements available in less time than a month. Clearly, LG has some sort of defective design with their refrigerator compressors. As I have investigated the problem online, I noted that there has been at least one class action suit against LG refrigerators in the recent past. I believe that this issue is potentially lining up for another class action suit.
On October 21st, our LG Model LMXS30776S/00 Refrigerator that was less than 2 years old stopped working. When I called LG Consumer Relations at 800-243-000 they took down our information. They then discussed their LG Premium Care Service Plan with us and provided us two options to get our fridge fixed. Option # 1, $450, Option # 2 $350. Option # 1 covers you for 1 year and the Option # 2 is for 3 months. We go with Option # 2. It is supposed to cover the labor and because the compressor broke that is covered by warranty by LG for 10 years from date of purchase. They set us up with one service repair company in our city, then call us a few days later to say they assigned it to another service repair company in our city. Turns out the second one is the only authorized LG repair in our city. They schedule an appointment, the earliest date, November 14th.On 11/14 the owner comes out and says the compressor is broke and the seal system has been contaminated and he will need 6 parts to fix this. On 11/15 the repair place calls me and says the LG warranty department will not authorize the fridge to be fixed. They are going to get another repair place to come fix it. On 11/16 after not hearing from the warranty division of LG (which is outsourced), I call them. It took 34 minutes before someone answered. They explain to me and say the repair company told us they cannot fix the fridge. I say that is a total lie. The guy then paused. I said I have spoken with them multiple times and they told me you would not authorize them to repair it because you now do not want to pay the labor cost. So LG sells us on the warranty program, but then when they find out the labor cost almost 3 weeks later, they refuse to pay it and tell us we will reimburse the $350 to you.So not only did our less than 2 year old fridge break, they do not honor their warranty programs that they sell to the consumer. I was transferred back to LG Customer Care and waited on hold 45 minutes. I never spoke to anyone again. I tried calling on 11/17 and they say wait times are too long, call back. I then proceed to do a live chat. They push me back to their 800. Long story short, DO NOT buy LG. However, you have to be careful, because LG makes refrigerators for Kenmore and others that are sold in Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears to name a few.LG does not stand behind their products. One local repair place in my city said they dropped LG because LG did not honor the warranties. They said do not buy LG and Samsung Appliances. So our options are to buy a new fridge, or pay someone over $800 to repair our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator. So, we paid $2900 for the LG fridge and now it will cost an additional $800 to get it fixed or we have to spend in the $1,000s to get a new one. I have never in 40 + years experienced such bad customer service with a product. I will never buy anything that LG makes or has made for another company. They do not stand behind their products. Their customer care representatives are terrible. Thanks LG. You lost a customer and hope many more after they read this for life.
I purchased an LG Washing machine 5 years ago. It had a few problems, leaked and the rubber seal on the door always came out after the wire that held it in place rusted (after 2 years). The final straw was after 5 years I had to call for service and after 3 days the LG serviceman finally arrived. Took my washer away after giving me a reasonable quote. The next day LG called to tell me that they did not have the parts for my 5-year-old Washer. So I was forced to buy a new machine. I would expect that a washing machine should last much longer than 5 years and if it needs service that the parts would be available. I will never buy anything else from LG again.
I have the LG model WM2140CW washer and dryer for about 2 years. I have cleaned the gasket, inside of the tub, and door on the washing machine as directed by the manufacturer and run bleach through the tub clean cycle and still cannot get rid of the moldy smell. When cleaning the gasket, I noticed mold and mildew on the gasket and have cleaned them with modified bleach and even used Q-tips to remove the mold, it just comes back. Even after you wipe the gaskets off after each wash, you cannot get all of the mold out of the gaskets and this transfers to your clothes, sometimes needing to be rewashed 2 or 3 times. I keep the door open for ventilation but there is no way for the gasket area to stay completely dry. The smell is so bad at times you have to close the laundry room door to keep it from reeking into the rest of the house. I am calling for service this week but I know what they are going to tell me which is exactly what I have been doing. I would not recommend this LG set to anyone. I plan on going back to a top loading washer just to get the smell out of my house and clothes. As far as the dryer, I have to run it 2 to 3 times just to get clothes dry. Avoid LG at all costs.
I have had a horrible experience with LG and will never buy another LG product. About 8 months ago I bought as beautiful electric range with the purple/blue oven that self cleans at a low temperature. The stove is still working great but I noticed that the enamel in the oven is just flaking off and where the racks are the enamel failed and popped off.I called LG since the oven is still under warranty and was told that this defect is cosmetic and that I would have to pay for parts and labor to have it repaired. Enamel serves a function in an oven, it protects the metal from oxidizing and protects the oven from heat and food that would be absorbed without enamel. I explained to the agent that this is a functional defect and not cosmetic and got nowhere with LG. They just dont care about their customers at all. I am a manager for a call center and could not believe the response I received on this issue and the attitude of the agent. I was fuming after this experience and wrote an e-mail to corporate explaining what happened and explained that if I do not receive a reply within a reasonable amount of time I will escalate or take action in another manner.I never did get a response so I spoke with the manager of Home Depot and showed them pictures and explained the bad experience that I had. This the manager picked up the phone and called LG and Explained the issue and added that the popping porcelain is also a health issue and being a convection oven is getting blown around. She got the same crap from them that I did. Other employees came over to see what was going on as this manager was fuming and stating that they have never ever seen a situation like this before. The manager then said that we will take care of you and get you a new stove and again stated that this was ridiculous. The manager was still angry over the situation and told me that she is making some calls to pull other managers together Monday for a conference call to LG Dealer support and said that she is going the climb the corporate ladder on this one.I see a ton of lawsuits against LG and a huge number of complaints, it seems that they do not care or respond to their customers and end up in a lawsuit. I was contemplating on a lawsuit but came up with a better idea. I am going to work closely with Home Depot management and get data on whatever they need and work to have Depot drop all LG product lines. I think I have Home Depots attention on this and just have to follow the process. I have always had positive experiences with Home Depot and I dont want to see any more of their customers go through this experience and lack of accountability on LGs part. If everything is successful and LG products are pulled from Home Depot this will be a huge revenue loss for LG which is well deserved. This will hold them accountable for their actions and is far easier than a lawsuit and there is a ton of data on poor customer service and product support.
I purchased this dryer a year and a half ago. The problem that we have been encountering is that the clothes or bedsheets we dry always get caught in the lint trap. They will spin around each other, twist each other, stretch out and each time just makes it worse. It has ruined a lot of our clothes already since then. Worst of all, when I did my last laundry drying my bedsheets recently, I found the dryer door wide open by itself (no one touched it or opened the dryer) and all the sheets are all tangled up and twisted giving me more work to do. I was so shocked to see this. One piece of advice, never leave the dryer unattended if youre drying anything. Such a lousy product. Not worth my money. Too scared for my older children to use this when I am not around to supervise them. I am honestly not happy and dissatisfied with this product.
I have posted here before about the smell from my LG Tromm washer. I have been reading other posts regarding leaving the door open and peeling paint. I have always left the door of my washer open and, as Ive posted before, still get that awful smell. We are at the point now of needing to replace the washing machine after 3 years because our clothes smell so bad. We have tried all the front-loading washing machine cleaners we can find and have used bleach in the tub clean as per the owners manual. One of the worst smelling items is our wonderful towels. After showering, we have to remember not to breathe deeply while drying our faces! And I just noticed the paint is peeling off the front of the machine, near one of the “seams”. It is almost like the way wet latex paint will just wipe off if. It is painted over an oil-based paint. What can we do about this? I really cant afford to buy another washing machine already.
Purchased refrigerator in 2012, LFX31925ST. Start with pros. Purchase for the large space and front features. I have purchased many of LG products. The customer service is ok, but they dont stand by their product... From day one I had an issue with the ice maker followed by the motor make noise. Not to mention the glide server drawer stopped sliding, it seems like the cheap plastic wheel broke off. Well they came out to service motor, but said ice maker was not part the warranty! They replaced the motor, but two years later the unit stopped cooling and freezing. Guess what?? The motor stopped. I called for the same issue. They want charge for service $400. I had the product for only 5 years and already is giving out like its 20 years old. What makes it worst is they dont stand by their product. Dont be fooled by their 10-year warranty. It only covers parts, they will squeeze cost out of the service charge.
Until I replaced the thermostat, the oven was unable to maintain temperatures within 100 degrees. It now works fine. The center gas nozzle used for grilling has never worked and it’s really a pain in the butt trying to remove the top to gain access to it.
Well, Im thoroughly disappointed with my Tromm washer and dryer. The latest failure was the last straw. I have now officially paid more for repairs than I paid for the appliances, and they have been banished to the garage, and hopefully Ill find a buyer, but the word must be out about LG, because Ive had no takers. The washer never has cleaned well, and took forever to do that. The technician said to get a top-load domestic brand, so I went to Lowes and purchased the largest top loader with a spindle that GE makes.Im through with LG, and the repairman said Samsung is no better. So, I guess you could say Im through with Korean products. Thank you very much Korea. Isnt it hysterical that the pendulum has finally swung back towards American products being more reliable and well-built? The way it used to be when I was growing up. Heres the really ironic part. When I bought the Tromm, I sold a Kenmore Series 80 pair to a friend for $100.00. She is still using them and has never had to have a repair. I want them back! I guess the joke is on me, but you know what they say: Fool me once...
I liked that it had an ice maker and a water dispenser and a rant big freezer with it in the bottom. Love the double doors that it has on it. I love my refrigerator so much. There wasnt much room in the doors of the refrigerator and the water dispenser did not get the water that cold. Also it took up a lot of room in the kitchen. I chose an LG refrigerator because of its name. Its known for laying a long time and being very good for the price. Its been almost exactly like I thought it would be.
Updated on 03/25/2021: After my review LG replied, that I can call LG and they gave me an authorization number. They said that LG will contact me within 7-10 business days or I can call them. I called them today, since nobody contacted me. I was told that my claim was rejected because there was not enough documentation from the technician and the technician did not state that the dishwasher is not reparable! I said that he did not say that. I was standing next to him when he called LG and was told that there was a recall on the dishwasher and he received TCC number which I also wrote down. (And I was told later by LG that they cannot find that number in their system) This is a technician from LG. This is not mine technician. I do not really know or care what paperwork they need to exchange. I am trying to have working dishwasher for 6 months now! I do not know why LG is not standing behind their product and cannot resolve this problem in 6 month. I have ordered this in June 2020. I do not care if the dishwasher is repaired, replaced, but I just need to have functional dishwasher.Original Review: In June 2020 I have ordered LG dishwasher from Home Depot for one of rental units I manage. Because of shortage of appliances it came 2 months later. This is one of many dishwashers I bought, but all others were Samsung. When tenant moved in this unit, they called me that there is a rubbery smell and smoke coming from the dishwasher after about 30 min of washing. I called LG, LG said the tenant has to call because they will take them through different steps. Tenant was told that they have to keep running it that it is normal that the dishwasher is new. But smell did not go away. Technician came in, but said that he cannot stay for the whole cycle and they should keep running it. Then I called LG and was told that they will call another technician and got another appointment. (4 months has passed already.) My tenant moved out because they could not use the dishwasher. Another technician came and spent a lot of time examining the dishwasher then he called LG and found out there was a recall on this dishwasher and gave me TCC number which LG gave him. I was told I will just call LG and give them the number and they will exchange the dishwasher. I called LG that I am calling because there was a recall on the dishwasher and gave them the TCC number. LG told me that they do not have the number in their system and they will call the repair company (which LG sent) and they will call me back. Nobody called me nor they called the repair company! I tried the next day and was told that the recall department will call me back... Again nobody called me. It has been 5 months since I have reported problem for the first time. Nobody can still wash dishes and my apartment is vacant since I cannot place new tenant in till I have dishwasher. LG is a nightmare to deal with. I do not understand how they can stay in business. I will never buy any LG product because of the customer service they provide. There is nobody who takes ownership and resolves an issue. My tenant was so upset they wrote to VP of LG. Tenant is in the process of building a home and they make sure none of their new appliances are LG.
Bought new supposed to be best top load definitely not cheap, but recommended by Sears as the best. Definitely not have had continual repairs. First, UE always popping up, then spin cycle took 2 hours and clothes wet, now just never finishes, let run 2 1/2 hours then went to laundromat to finish. Never again LG.
I like the looks and the functionality of my LG and why I bought it. I especially like the meat drawer. Its in the middle of the fridge and its a 3-4 inch tall drawer that goes the length of the fridge. No other brand had that. My house is an LG house from phones, TVs to the appliances. No complaints. Life really is Good.
We purchased an top of the line all stainless steel LG Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in 2009 and from day 1 had nothing but trouble with both of them. The washer was constantly out of balance even though the washer had the true balance system, then the computer board went bad, then the door switch and drain pump quit. The dryer has never dried correctly, it always takes about double the normal time to thoroughly dry. It has cost me over $500.00 to keep them running for less than 5 years, LG should be in the junk business as they excel at it.
I have had nothing but problems since purchasing this washer from Home Depot. First it was emptying the little filter all the way down on the left side of the front of the washer. If all the water was not out it took hours for it to empty, even the smallest amount of water. Now, yesterday and today the washer cannot seem to even wring out a couple towels. I had to remove a small scatter rug yesterday soaking wet and place it rolled up in a towel in the dryer until the washer decided to finish the load of laundry, then putting the rug back in the washer to be wrung out before returning it to the dryer. Today I put a couple bath towels, not thick ones, ones I use around the house, and a small scatter rug about 2x3 ft, and now the door to the washer will not open, at all. I waited over an hour, tried to open the door again, the washer will start and water will run, which I immediately stopped, when the water begins you can hear the click for the door, but when the washer is stopped, the click for the door does not happen - so I cannot open the door. This is a horrible product, and I am so very sorry I did not get my Maytag washer that I have had in the past - with no problems until the day I replace it. On that day, the person delivering my new washer asked if he could have my other one for his home as it was still working. I only wanted a new washer and made the horrible mistake of purchasing and LG PIECE OF JUNK - NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL WARN EVERYONE NOT TO DO SO INCLUDING MY 5 DAUGHTERS.
Contacted LGs customer service after major issues with the refrigerator one year and three weeks old. We were transferred to multiple customer service agents. Placed on hold at one point 2 1/2 hours. Funny thing is the message that plays when youre on hold how our time is so valuable to them. Each time you get a customer service representative you have to start from the beginning, Even though supposedly every phone call is documented.Of course, any reasonable person would escalate in their frustration with each one of these phone calls that were made. Not to mention the multiple times we were being transferred and hung up on and had to call back. Absolutely nothing is done until I had to raise my voice and demand to speak to someone that can get something done. When I finally got a corporate supervisor on the phone it took him less than 20 minutes to schedule an appointment and extend the warranty to have the refrigerator serviced. Any reasonable company that stand by their product would have done this from the beginning. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell everyone I know to think twice before they make a purchase.
Refrigerator: Model No. LFX31945ST 3-door LG Ice & Water Stainless Steel 28 Serial No. 207KRWZ0A593 purchased on 09/16/2012 from hhgregg 1321 Huguenot Rd. Midlothian, VA 23112. Contacted LG Service Department on 07-01-13 Ref: Ice Maker. 07-03-13 Service Technician came out and ran a diagnostic on unit, determined that compressor was bad and had to order one. 07-06-13 9:20 PM Contacted service center and was advised that technician was due on Monday 07-08-13 between 8:00 AM and 12 Noon to replace compressor. 07-09-14 Contacted service center about noise coming from back of refrigerator. Unknown date contacted service center concerning error codes “er rf” on display unit. Technician scheduled to come out on 10-01-14.10-01-14 Service technician arrived to check on noise and cooling issues. Coil and fan motor frozen with ice. As technician was removing inside grille to get to fan he broke the grille. He defrosted the ice from the fan motor and replaced the grille with one he had in his truck. Set temperature for refrigerator to +34 degrees and temperature for freezer to -1 degree. He wrote up the service ticked and charged $81.98 for the “Duct Assembly, Multi (item number: **)” that he broke plus the $120 for service call plus $4.34 tax on the replacement grille part. 10-06-14 Sent Fax to a ** in the Alabama location concerning telephone conversation in which he advised LG would reimburse me for the cost of the repair part plus the tax. Fax included cover sheet, two page service ticket and copy of purchase order from hhgregg.10-22-14 Called service center and after a 20 minute hold to verify my status, was advised that I should hear from Alabama around November 3rd. 07-10-15 Around 4:52 PM Eastern Time, called service center and advised them that freezer was not freezing (temperature was 62 degrees and rising) and that all food in freezer had spoiled. Furthermore, the refrigerator temperature was almost 70 degrees and food had spoiled. Additionally the unit was making a loud motor noise in the rear of the unit. After trying to explain the issue over and over again I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes and 26 seconds until I disconnected the call from my cell phone, but not before I had called the service center again from my house phone. It was only after I explained everything again that I was informed that the executive staff (supervisors) department closed at 5:00 PM and that I could not run the “Smart Diagnostic” over the telephone because all of the service technicians in their department had also gone at 5:00 PM, that I would have to call back tomorrow on 7-11-15. The service center advised me that the service warranty had expired and any service call would be $120.00 plus parts. This was mentioned on three different times during the call. I did manage to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to the house on Monday, 7-13-15 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Total time on the telephone service call was 58 minutes and 44 seconds.7-11-15 Called the service center again and had to explain everything that I explained twice the night before. After requesting to run the “Smart Diagnostic” I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the “Best if Used By” dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type thermometer and freezer showing 5 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 3:00 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 9:30 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 46 degrees on a dial-type dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 7 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-06-16 At 10:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 11:32 AM called LG toll free number (800-243-0000) received recording and sent link for self-diagnostic. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 – 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40’s. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.
We bought LG refrigerator last week, but when we diffuse the ice, all water will come in the tray and from the tray water, ice comes out. We complained so many times but we were not able to get good help. A service man came but after he left the same things happened. Please do help us, otherwise, change the refrigerator. We thought LG products are very good but now were not sure, after buying this refrigerator. Please help us, as soon as possible. Regards, Vijay ****
Updated on 06/08/2021: This is a follow up to a review I wrote a few days ago about my LG refrigerator. I gave it 1 star only because I couldn’t leave zero. I was amazed that a company representative reached out because of the negative review but my amazement didn’t last. They are still dragging their feet. I have a 3 1/2 year old refrigerator that stopped working on May 16. It is suppose to have a 5 year warranty. I got the run around from LG customer service for weeks so I left the negative review. Yesterday I received a text saying they would try to find an alternate resolution but I had to send in my receipt. I don’t have any issue providing the receipt but I already sent the same supervisor the receipt on a May 26. Now I have to start the process again. I need to send her the receipt and in 7-10 business days one of their representatives will reach out with a possible resolution but I MUST NOT do anything with the broken refrigerator until I hear from them. So it’s possible I won’t hear from them for another 2 weeks but I’m suppose to leave a broken refrigerator in my house until they say differently? I simply cannot believe that they think I’m not going to replace the broken refrigerator for 5 weeks! Please don’t put yourself through what I’m dealing with. Don’t buy LG.Original Review: Do not buy a refrigerator from LG! I purchased one 3 years ago for $2,500. It came with a 5 year (worthless) warranty. It stopped working suddenly 2 weeks ago. I have called LG customer service every single day and they have done nothing to correct the situation. They can’t find anyone local to fix the unit because they have a Class Action Lawsuit due to a faulty compressor and no repairmen will touch it because of the potential liability. So I sit on day 14 with ZERO help. They have not called me back one time. I have to call every day and repeat my entire story to a different employee. Buyer Beware!
We purchased this product from a big box store around 2007. The ice maker failed after 4 years and flooded our kitchen. I was disappointed in LGs response, and elected to not replace the icemaker due to out of pocket cost and fear of future failure. I figured Id keep the refrigerator anyway, since it was relatively expensive. This past weekend, I went into the kitchen in the morning and smelled burning plastic. I opened the fridge only to find that the temperature control and lights had melted to the point of dropping from the ceiling of the fridge. It was hot inside the fridge to the point where the butter had melted and dripped out of the compartment and down the door. There were visible scorch/melting marks on the light compartment. I think if I had not been home this weekend, it would likely have caught fire. I think this fridge is a fire hazard, and caution anyone with this unit.Being a consumer who doesnt want to waste money, I wanted to rig the machine so that its not a total waste. I screwed the control panel back into the ceiling, and replaced the bulbs with low wattage (and low temperature) LED lights. It seems to be okay for now. I will be replacing this fridge in the near future, and will not buy another LG product.
I had the refrigerator for approximately without any problems. Style, price and capacity were the primary reasons I chose this particular refrigerator brand. In addition, the refrigerator was an appropriate items for the decor theme in the kitchen. Accessible water and ice from the door of the refrigerator, ample storage space for items placed in the refrigerator, blending of the refrigerator with the kitchen decor, ease of cleaning the inside and exterior surfaces and the quietness in the operation of the mechanical parts represent features I liked about the refrigerator. Shortly thereafter, issues developed with the ice maker that included water dripping from the ice container into the dispensing tray that eventually caused severe damage to the wood floor. In addition, maintaining an appropriate cooling temperature fluctuated, requiring a service technician attention.
I purchased this product less than 5 months ago and the water pump went out. Called LG customer service and they referred me to a company who refused to service any of their products. I called LG back and they gave me another phone number, called and set up a service call. They showed up with NO parts on them due to LGs policies. They do not allow them to carry parts for their product with them. The company ordered the part and told me it would be 4 business days before I could get it fixed due to LG having to ship them the part. LG on the other hand said they 2 day overnight parts. That was a lie. The appliance repair came 6 business days later (due to waiting on part), installed the pump, and to no avail. The technician said it had to be the computer board that was bad. What?!? We tested the washer and lo and behold due to the bad computer board, it burned up pump #2. From this point obviously I had a lemon of an appliance. Thank God for our local Home Depot, whom I purchased it from, because dealing with LG is a nightmare! Home Depot let me return BOTH LG washer and dryer I purchased and I traded it for a brand new Samsung washer and dryer. I will never ever buy an LG product again.
Noisy $4,000 fridge! LG refrigerators are noisy. The linear compressor runs constant and makes a humming and ringing noise that you can hear from other rooms. The LG Customer Service is awful, and they give you run around when you call...on phone for hours! Do not buy LG - horrible experience, and no resolution in sight.
My folks had the same refrigerator for 30 years. Ive had this LG only a handful of years and now its junk. Compressor turns on then shuts off after 30 seconds. Paid a guy $60 to tell me its going to cost $1100 to replace the compressor. Forget it. I looked on Craigslist and picked up a free GE fridge from 1991.
I purchased the item on May 28, 2010. Now, when I use it, I smell gas. I made a call to the Gas Company to check the line. It turns out the dryer is malfunctioning. This product isnt even two years old yet. I spent $600 on this appliance. What a waste of money! On top of it, the first customer service representative wasted a week of my time. They had me fax (to the wrong number) a form from the Gas Company confirming that it is an appliance malfunction. I called back only to find out that I need to either have an LG certified appliance repair shop fix it, or requested an extended warranty from LG. I will never buy a product from this company again. $600 did not even reached two years worth of use. Unacceptable and horrible customer service on top of it!
Purchased this LG refrigerator 3 years ago and now it appears that the compressor has failed. Called LG, Nick said they would send a technician but the tech did not show up on the scheduled time. Called LG and they said the address is apparently wrong. They cant reach their own techs at all? Said, they would call me by the end of the day to see if the tech ever showed. Compressor fail at 3 years seems to be the breakdown date is what I am seeing via other complaints. Food is getting tossed out and looks like the repair may cost be as much as the refrigerator.
Purchased this LG Refrigerator Model LFX25974 on July 3, 2013 from Home Depot and was delivered on July 16. 7 weeks later, the freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling. I contacted LG and after 2 customer service reps, they had me run the self diagnostics on it... which showed I depleted my ice too quickly.... Seriously? The ice was water! LG arranged to have an authorized repairman to come out. The appointment was confirmed with the ApplianceMan in Westerville, Ohio for Thursday, August 29th between 1-5p. NEVER SHOWED!!!! When I contacted them Fri. am, was told they lost my appt. After they arrived Friday afternoon, was told I needed new compressor and evaporator and parts ordered. 1-2 weeks before they come in and then need to schedule another appt to fix.... According to the other reviews, this seems to be the trend with LG. I will never purchase another LG appliance
We purchased our fridge on May 2015. Costed us about $2300. Since then we’ve had to have it repaired 6 times! I guess that pretty much sums up our experience with LG refrigerators. Fortunately, we had the extended warranty with Home Depot which saved us a bunch out of pocket expenses. My family is surely staying away from LG’s fridges.
LG Electric Range Model LRE3083ST - Bought it February 2015. I noticed a greasy film accumulated between the glass panels in the oven door. Called for repair person, he came two months ago. Hadnt heard back from him. Called LG and complained. They told me that they would send someone to clean the glass. Which doesnt resolve the problem. LG told me if I didnt like it I could go to Best Buy where it was purchased. Best Buy wont do anything over the 45 day return policy.
I have an LG refrigerator model LMXS30776D, which retails for $3999.99, it was manufactured in March of 2016. I have now had to replace the compressor, the evaporator coil and now the fan and controller. It took 3 months to get the compressor replaced. A month to get the evaporator coil replaced. I wonder how long it will take to get the fan fixed. This means that the unit has been broken for 1/4 of the time I have owned it.
Received this brand new Studio Gas Range and the oven makes a whinny noise while on. Not sure the if it is the fan or exhaust heat or the gas is squeezing and making the noise. Not a hazard, just noisy.
We purchased a LG fridge, fall of 2014. Since then the compressors has gone out twice. The second time we had the fridge repaired we have been without a fridge for 2 weeks. They send someone to fix it. Still doesn’t work and I have to wait another week. Bad service and product.
On 17 Sep 2010, I purchased a new LG Electronics LFXC24726S/02 refrigerator. Last night, 21 May 2020, the refrigerator stopped cooling. When I called a repairman today, he said its most likely the compressor and the repair would be about $1,100, implying that my less than five year old refrigerator might be worth repairing.
I bought an LG french door refrigerator model #LMX25981ST two years ago and feel fortunate that just my gasket needs to be replaced so far. After reading all the complaints about this brand, I am nervously waiting for something major go wrong.
Our refrigerator is less than 2 years old and the compressor went out. Our freezer MELTED and the compressor got so hot that it could have started a FIRE! We have been living out of an ICE CHEST for 7 days and we are getting the run-around by customer service and subcontractors. I understand that there was a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against LG for defective compressors. I wish I had researched a bit more before purchasing an LG product. I give up. We are buying a new fridge today. It will NOT be an LG EVER. I will never buy another LG product again. I am disgusted by how we have been treated by LG. Their business model for maximizing profit is to wait you out. Well you win LG.
I have lodged my complaint No. ** on LG toll free number as of 10/30/2012 regarding the sudden burn out on my refrigerator model GL195NM4. Accordingly, company representative Mr. ** came to my residence on 11/01/2012 to study the case and advised me to send photograph of burnt fridge along with bill copy. The same has been sent by e-mail on 11/02/2012 and receipt was confirmed by your representative Mr. **. While continuously following up with them, they are saying that the company will reply within 25-30 days which is too late. Sir, all the customers were expecting good services after sales but in this case, I regret to say that a company like LG is hopeless because until today, I did not hear any positive response from them. Im really confused whether I have to say LG products are good or worst.
Ive had LG phones with good luck, and I the look of this oven, but my previous two Whirlpool ovens performed better and were easier to clean up. The surface of this oven is for some reason hard to clean. Also, with hand washing using mild dish detergent, the print on the knobs is wearing off, and the stove is only a year and a half old. Because its considered cosmetic, and over one year old, LG will not replace the knobs. Ive never seen this happen, and at $45.00 per knob, am not pleased about having to replace them at 1 and 1/2 years. I wont be buying LG again and I wont be recommending.
Using a LG washing machine is like having a full time job. It take 90 minutes on a good day to do a what they call a 57 minute wash cycle. I have spent as may as 4 hours trying to do a load of towels, finally had to remove half the load and start again. Machine has flooded my basement four times because the water doesnt shut off when done. You have to shut the water off during the spin cycle. During the spin cycle you have to stop and level the load several times. I would beat my clothes on a rock before I buy another LG washing machine.
I bought a Microwave....LG, counter top....in less than one year it died. Since it was JUST under warranty someone came and fixed it...it was some connection that didnt work. Then you get 90 day warranty on the repair.....Great!. Now its a drop more than 90 days and guess what? It died again. Called LG...they said TOUGH NOUGHIES....very nice, isnt it....so now what....I pay $50.00 service fee plus repairs or throw the microwave out in the street and buy a new one. Not good business. Not a good appliance. I will never buy an LG again unless I receive some satisfaction.
I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator for $1,500. Refrigerator suddenly stopped working last week, spoiling hundreds of dollars of food! Called a repairman who made an in-house visit and LG customer support, both confirmed that I need a new compressor. LG confirmed that compressor is covered by 7 year warranty but labor charges are my responsibility. They provided me with a couple of authorized repair places to call. I received several quotes for labor ranging from $650-$850! The refrigerator isn’t even worth that! LG has refused to do anything to fix or compensate for this!!! What a scam, I demand a full refund and will be joining a class action suit against LG for this fraud and encourage all to the same immediately! If anyone has had the same issues you can reach me at: **.
