Worst gas range knobs ever. Cheap plastic knobs that peels with heat and connection to position breaks. Never had this happen with any other gas range used. LG should stand behind these knobs and replace all at no cost.

Ive had it one week. DO NOT LIKE. Ive used several times for one load (not large, not small, regular size load). Things are NOT clean at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ive done everything right. The dryer I had went out. I bought a dryer and matching washing machine. The clothes smell bad, have lint on them before they get in the dryer, stains wont come out even with Clorox. I am going to call the store and the company Monday.

I have an LG top loader WT5270CW. Not having other review problems like leaking or vibration BUT washed clothes, have a heavy white residue visible on black or dark clothes. Not sure about lighter clothes. Residue is probably there too but not as noticeable. Recommendations say wash dark clothes in cold water but I have tried everything. Warm, adding additional rinse, Woolite for darks detergent. Very frustrating.

We purchased an LG lsxs26326s side by side refrigerator (as well as a microwave, oven & dishwasher as we remodeled our kitchen) in April 2015. On Dec 16, 2016 it had stopped cooling. Fortunately, we have a 20+ yr old Kenmore in the basement we were able to move all the food to. Had our own repairman come out Sunday to see what the problem was. Determined the compressor in our ONE AND A HALF YEAR OLD refrigerator had gone out. Now, this part has a TEN YEAR warranty through LG (hm, maybe that should have told us something) HOWEVER, only the PART is covered NOT labor. Sunday night I call LG Service and after a very long and frustrating discussion with someone who barely spoke English, I was informed a Letter of Authorization would be sent by email to our repairman so he could order the part. I requested a rush on that letter as it was a week until Christmas & we had family coming from out of town. Monday, no letter. Tuesday, still no letter. I call again Tuesday night and am informed they tried calling the repairman and got no answer or return call (I know this is a lie as I spoke with them that day to confirm contact from LG). At this point, I demand to have the matter escalated and to speak to a manager. I get put on hold for a while and FINALLY get a manager, whom I might add speaks English clearly (YAY). She proceeds to tell me something completely different than I was told by the previous two reps. Stating they have to talk to the tech while they are at the refrigerator and able to guide them through what to check. THEN, once diagnosed as the compressor the letter of authorization would be sent so the tech could order the part, which would take 3-5 DAYS to receive!!!Now, I am getting angry. She tells me they had available techs on the 20th, 21st & that day (22nd) so I could have just had their tech come out and diagnose it and they would have had the compressor the next day. I told her there was no way in hell I was paying THEIR techs an arm & a leg to fix the refrigerator I purchased a YEAR & HALF ago when my guy was only charging me $60/hr!!! Her response was simply OH. Finally, she send the letter of authorization by email while still on the phone with me. Wednesday morning, I call my tech & they have the email (THANK GOD). They order the part. Thankfully, it comes on Thursday and our guy comes out that evening to replace it. Now, a month later, we are having problems with the ice maker not making ice. UGH!!! I wish we would have just gone with different appliances. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase another LG product. Purchasing these appliances has literally been a nightmare. They should have paid us to take them for what we have been through with all these appliances!

Purchase a set of LG washer (WT4870CW) and dryer from Best Buy that was last year’s model on 04/12/2014. Upon the washing machine acting up and not draining after about 10 or 11 months, we called LG support to get it corrected, was when we were informed it was almost two years old. Even when we had it less than a year. The washing machine had OE and UE errors popping up interrupting the spin cycle continuously, requiring resetting and restarting in the spin cycle. The first tech diagnosed it needed a stator, ordered that to our house and installed it, problem continued. LG schedule second tech service company, who diagnosed, after reading bulletin stator replacement no longer done, but circuitry parts. Ordered two, parts came to house and third person came in only installed one circuit, stating I needed two separate circuits for washer and dryer. Problem continued. LG was notified and I was informed the previous appliance service technicians came from an appliance service company that they can no longer recommend. Plus since this problem has extended past the original warranty I needed to get an extension, which was done at no cost, to cover the next service person. A third appliance company, who came today and diagnosed Pipe in house will not let unit drain, gets pressure build up and no drain. Customer needs plumber. Nothing wrong with unit.” I immediately returned home and showed the tech the fault of his diagnosis by detaching the drain from the drain pipe in the house and connecting the cold water feed to the drain pipe and had it run for several minutes. THEN he said, I dont know what to tell you. Then he said my pipe was too high, so I pulled out the manual nearby and NOPE the pipe length was well within the distance in the manual. Wrong again. The machine works he said, when you dont connect it to the drain pipe, so it’s a drain problem he said. Nothing wrong with the machine when you disconnect it and let it run in a garbage barrel, he said. What are you talking about, the machine worked for like 10 or 11 months and now this problem wont go away and you are saying that the problem is not with the machine? “Oh it tries to send the water up but it can only send so much, then it figures it cant then it shuts down.” “Oh,” I said, “then it’s a sensor problem, or a computer problem.” “No there is nothing wrong with the machine, when you disconnect the pipe into a garbage barrel.” How does this continue on? “Oh, Ill have my boss give you a call, because I cant fix a problem that isnt there.” There were also suggestions to re-route my drain pipe through the basement window opening, creating a new larger pipe, but his suggestions simply met deaf ears by that time. So after he leave and here I am at the Consumer Affairs site reading all the numerous complaints and I find one service tech diagnosed a pressure switch as the problem, which under warranty I would welcome before I send this unit to the scrap heap.

What an awful experience it is getting service from LG, they are the worst Ive encountered. My $2000 LG fridge stopped working July 4th and it was stuffed with food the technician who came said he could repair the fridge so he would have it taken away. He made up a story about why he couldnt fix it but most likely he didnt know. The fridge is 3 years old and so he charged me for the collection and now he says its the compressor. The 10-year warranty doesnt appear to apply to whats wrong and he says that LG dont have a compressor to supply him? Ive lost my fridge all the food and I have no respect for LG. I called their marketing department but the lady answering the phone hung up on me after I called to complain. Great customer relations LG.

Purchased in late 2011 as part of a range, fridge, microwave, dishwasher package deal from appliance warehouse. This is the third time Ive had to call for service and pay $60 charge each time on my homeowners warranty policy. The usual problem is burners that dont turn on and in the past, only a few would go out at a time, leaving me a workable burner or two. This time all are out and now the broiler is also down -- only the oven is working now. One service tech said the cables inside the panel were loose. How that happened, I don’t know because the range doesnt get jostled or moved around a lot. Another complaint within the first six months of purchase is an inside drip between the oven door double paned glass but Ive lived with ugly mess because the service tech couldnt fix it without taking the entire range to the shop for a week. But wait -- theres more LG product problems! The side-by-side door fridge problems have also cost me three service calls ($60 each). The icemaker frequently goes on strike for several months at a time and then on its own starts working again. Of course, this renders the ice dispenser constipated and totally useless. The cold water dispenser has the opposite problem and is often incontinent it keeps spewing water for several seconds after the drinking glass is removed.I believe LG must stand for Least Good and the range model number LRE30453ST must stand for Least Reliable Electric ** Stoves Terrible. I will never again purchase another LG appliance and recommend that other buyers also shop for another brand.

I have had this LG FRENCH DOOR LFX31945ST refrigerator less than a year. It has been noisy since they delivered it but when I brought it up to the tech that had come back to replace the freezer door b/c of discoloration....he made it sound as though the compressors just make more noise in the new ones. So I thought, ok... I will give it some time... Well, as time went on, the noise got louder and louder. I can actually hear it buzzing and whining over my television in the Living Room (so many random noises off and on thru day, I couldnt possibly describe them all). So I call servicing dealer back and tell them still loud and seems to be constantly running. I also discovered while I was researching others complaints that there has been a problem with back wall icing up, so I looked and yes back wall completely iced over.Tech said he hadnt heard of any of these being problems, but Then he heard noise and saw ice. So he ordered new back panel, defrost control and module. When parts came in, he replaced everything. Less than 8 days later, still whining and other noises and now developed a bad smell/very bad smell that when fridge was opened would take over entire kitchen and living room area. By the time tech comes, the smell is not detectable b/c it dissipates over time, only to come back randomly. He denotes no problem found b/c noises werent as loud as they can be when he is here, even though I still think its louder than it s/b. At this point we are very frustrated to spend this kind of money and have so many problems is sickening. Problems continue and I call again, service comes out and back wall icing over again. Tech hears the loud noises (high pitch whine has become a constant, loud sounding fans and an occasional clunky sound) and the SMELL is back. Tech now has witnessed everything. He gets on phone w/ LG and he is told we must have introduced the smell. REALLY! I know we have not but we are advised to try charcoal like for a fish tank filter. I tell the tech that Im concerned b/c warranty is up in June and how do I know if he reorders everything hes replaced once that it wont continue to be a problem later. It had to be an inherent problem and what is LG gonna do about it. I feel they should extend warranty or give me replacement fridge. He did his best to tell LG that they need to do something more... Their solution is its fixable so they reorder everything again (back panel, defrost control and module main). I call customer service to voice my concerns and ask about extending warranty, to ensure this problem actually gets fixed. I am read some script that is obviously told to every customer and the Supervisor I spoke with was not nice. He had a nasty disposition and offered me no resolutions. He just made me angrier. So parts arrived and another tech comes to install the parts. It has been around 9 days and guess what? SMELL is back, noises are worse than they were before this last service call and ice is beginning to build up on the back wall again. So here we go again. I am going to call again, wait again to be notified morning of service call and given a 2-hr window of when they will be here (so I cant plan anything for that day b/c no specific time for service call). Another day wasted, more aggravation and I am fairly confident the problem wont be resolved. Instead I will be advised to purchase an additional warranty coverage since mine expires in June. I am not looking forward to complaining to customer service again b/c, well Ive seen how they treat customers and their philosophy is the customer is always a nuisance and they wont help me at all. So here we go, I will place call and waste another day. Do yourself a favor and dont buy this product, no matter how much you love the lighting, the door in door feature and the versatility of the shelves inside... Trust me - not worth the headache. Oh and not real stainless steel.

I do love the French door refrigerator with the exterior water and ice dispenser. I did have difficulty with the exterior coating (called black stainless steel, which it is not) chipping off and had to fight tooth and nail to get anything done because they called it a cosmetic issue. I was not. It kept flaking. It was a defect in the coating. The refrigerator itself has been easy to clean, has multiple shelf options, and I love the wide drawer at the bottom. The freezer also has a top drawer to keep all those smaller things that can get lost in the bottom of a freezer. Also space enough for me to separate my meat from everything else, so I can see quickly what I need to replenish. The ice maker is great! Options to make extra if youre having guests is a great feature and you can switch from cube to crushed.

I have owned an LG refrigerator for five years, and have now had 3 times where it stopped sufficiently cooling due to a well known issue with the compressor and other internal components. There is even a class action lawsuit that covers numerous models. Part of the class-action lawsuit requires them to extend the warranty up to 5 years. Since I am now about 7 months past that 5 years warranty, LG will cover the parts to repair, but not the labor. Since the repair is quite involved, it is expensive and therefore not worth it, especially since this would have been the THIRD time to replace the compressor and other parts, and there is no guarantee it would be a durable repair. If the third failure of the compressor had happened just 7 months earlier, I would have been entitled, per the terms of the settlement, to compensation. I realize at this point LG is not obligated to do anything beyond the terms of the class action settlement, but it is infuriating to me that a company would produce a product like this, need to have a class action lawsuit to do right by its customers, and seems content to leave me with a product they know is faulty and refuse to take responsibility based essentially on a technicality. Its disgraceful. Avoid LG products. This is a nightmare.

I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. For as much money as you spend, you can get something more worthwhile in a Whirlpool, GE, or KitchenAid.

My washer quit before completing its cycle. When I opened it to unload my laundry, it was still full of water. I closed the door and pressed the rinse/spin button. But it stopped again before completion, and the same thing again. This time I couldnt even open the door. Nothing seemed to work. Finally, after pushing buttons, it went completely through the rinse/spin cycle. I dont want to call La Mesa Appliance who is a factory approved service for LG, because I called them some months ago when the softener cup held water after the washer had completed its cycle. The repairman said this was normal, but it hadnt done this before, so I dont believe that. Meanwhile, I pull the drawer out and empty it after each wash. Im unsure whom to call for repairs.

Agree with the other one star reviews with this issue. This top loader never gets enough water in the tub (on normal cycle) to even get most of the clothes wet, let alone all of them! How can anyone expect clean clothes without water? I always need to press extra water or deep wash....which really wastes a lot of water as it will then fill up to the very top rim when I only want it to cover the clothes in the tub! Absolute worst customer service ever. $3000 French Door LG Refrigerator stopped working one month after going out of warranty, so basically at the 13 month period, $300 worth of food in the trash! Had to purchase a repair plan for $450 to get it fixed. It is the seal system that is causing the problem. Nobody in my area knows how to fix that. I have asked for my money back. NO, they said. A relative of mine is an LG repair man and he said LG has been trying to hire him but he does not want to work for them because their compensation is very poor. No wonder they dont have anyone available for certain jobs. Now we are using our old LG in the garage (Im glad that I didnt throw it away!) for our food. We wanted all of our appliances to match in the stainless steel color. Stay away from LG fridges. We also have stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Those have worked great so far!

We purchased an LG LDF8072ST PREMIUM dishwasher from Best Buy on Dec. 12, 2012. Since it has been installed, the performance of this product has been terrible. The drying cycle is terrible and when I contacted LG, I was informed that this was the way it was supposed to work because it is a new advanced HYBRID drying system?? Even when we put it on extra dry, it still did not dry the dishes. With the performance still terrible, 4 weeks ago, the dishwasher quit working completely. When I contacted the LG online chat service feature, it was a joke. I spent more time verifying that I had bought a dishwasher than anything else. He finally determined that my dishwasher was Shot and he ordered a technician to come out. 10 tens later, a technician from a local repair facility came out, and he verified my dishwasher was not working??? He brought no replacement parts, but verified the unit had crapped out.Two weeks later, he returned with a main board and got the dishwasher running. He tested a few cycles and declared it ready to go. I was out of town and my wife was leaving that afternoon, so she loaded up the dishwasher and started it before she left. When I got home three days later and opened the dishwasher, the dishes were still wet????? This is the first dishwasher that I have owned that drying dishes as part of the cycle is part of the dishwasher!I have gone on LGs website and written to them and have not heard back! For what they charge for their products, I would expect a better support/service system in place. Dealing with LG is as bad as dealing with Sears in the past. If this is not resolved, I will do my research and make sure my replacement dishwasher dries dishes and is not an LG.

DO NOT, DO NOT ever buy an LG washing machine as ours is two years old and I have to spin dry one towel at the time while the rest of the wet towels are in the sink waiting. LG executive, Tyree, told me they would send a service person which they never did, however. Lowes, where we bought the machine has given us an appointment with an LG technician. This machine was $650 and has never worked correctly and this is LGs second service in a year. When the warranty runs out in 3 years, I will get rid of this piece of junk and buy a cheap washer and hope to keep it like I did my last one that lasted 25 years. LG does not need to be in the business of washing machine and whoever designed them needs to be fired and they need to give all of us a replacement. Ill never buy anything by LG as our new $750 TV would stop working from time to time and my son in law took off the back and tightened all the leads and it works fine, now. Now, why would you sell a tv with loose leads? LG is a worthless company!!!

After 4 years of no issues with our LG refrigerator, it died one day after we hosted our daughters bridal shower. Needless to say, we lost all the food. Called a repairman, came out and informed us it was the compressor and it was under warranty. He also warned us that LG has been having issues with the compressors. We called LG and they told us that their repair service (through A&E) couldnt come out until 2 weeks later. I waited ALL day and no one ever came. We received a call and email to call back the next day to reschedule. Naturally I assumed they would come asap. Well to my dismay, they couldnt come out until 2 WEEKS later. Are you kidding me!! We had been without a fridge all this time and they expect you to wait even longer and its their negligence! We were so frustrated and disgusted we just gave up and bought a new refrigerator, a Frigidaire, since it seems price doesnt guarantee it will last!

Product: Refrigerator. Model #: LFXS29626S. Recently I purchased what I believed was a top of line LG refrigerator. At the time of my purchase I truly believed that I was making the absolute best decision and that I was purchasing the very best refrigerator line that money can buy, however I now feel like I have made the absolute worse decision and I feel totally exasperated because my family and I sit here in our home living out of coolers for over 6 weeks and constantly managing ice to keep our food from spoiling. The problem is that this refrigerator has been out of order since August 8th, it is now Sept 19th and we are facing the 5th time of parts being placed on back order. If I had some idea of when the parts would arrive rather than facing the 5th time of being backordered there might be some peace of mind. Unfortunately, I have no idea when this part will arrive and will ultimately be repaired. It has already been 6 weeks of living out of coolers. I have called LG customer service multiple times and have dealt with friendly support people who try to help most times leaving the call believing there was a solution soon including being told twice that if the back order is beyond 10 days that the refrigerator would be submitted for likely replacement. No action on this yet just excuses when I follow up. My refrigerator was delivered Dec 2015 then began noticing problems in July 2017. I had a repair technician at our home on August 8th. Now I sit here with this top of line refrigerator with absolutely no idea when it will be repaired. In the past, I have always purchased less expensive models or maybe what could be thought of as lower quality brands. I have been fairly satisfied with these competitive brands, with only frequent problems requiring regular repairs. Understandably, I anticipate repairs on all appliances used in my home (those would have been better choices at this point), but this current repair, the time to get it handled and still with no solution is 100% unacceptable. I purchased this brand and model believing the product and support would be first class. I hope that you can comprehend how much of a great inconvenience this has been to be 6 weeks without a refrigerator to me and all my children. I need help and I need it soon! I am feeling inclined to make many more people aware of the support and lack of LG standing behind their products.

Every time I called, I got a different explanation of what I had to do to get a resolution. I basically got lied to every time I called. I got from 2 days to 15 days. Then I got, “Oh, you must submit this and that.” Every one of them that I could understand said, “Oh, sorry for your problem. Ill note that and that is all I can do.” As well as, “System is down today, sorry.” I requested a senior advisor or someone and never got anything but, “All I can do is note that, so sorry. Anything else I can do?The cost from the spoiled food I have had to throw out over the years is astronomical. The fact that I havent gotten seriously sick from the food is miraculous. Every time I had a little food that didnt taste right, I threw it out. There were so many times my ranch salad dressing tasted so sour, but I ate some and served it. But then I replaced it. I and my guests are lucky we werent poisoned, though I have had some minor stomach bouts. And now think I know why.I have suffered with a horrible refrigerator from LG for almost 5 years. I purchased an extended warranty (worthless) from Assurant. It has malfunctioned since day 1. I made a few calls early on and gave up...Due to personal circumstances recently (divorce and unemployment), I needed to have my refrigerator working for my future sustenance. So before the warranty ran out, I started on this ridiculous journey of trying to get it fixed. It has turned into a nightmare. And from what I can gather, guess I am lucky my house didnt burn down from some defect LG knew about, as well as not to be dead from food poisoning.

We bought a LG manufactured french door refrigerator from Sears in July of 2015 and it failed July 2020. Beautiful fridge to look at, but thats it. Firstly the freezer can no longer keep ice cream and certain other products. Secondly, the slim-line ice maker located in the door will not dump the ice in the container. Thirdly, the mullion (between the french doors) will not operate properly. The Sears technician came today found that the COMPRESSOR is failing and the BOARD is no good. To replace both will cost me about $900. He said LG is aware of these COMPRESSORS failing and that there is a class-action lawsuit against LG. My previous Sears refrigerator (manufactured by Whirlpool) lasted over 20 years. I have a number of LG products in my home, a television which works fine, two computer monitors which work fine, three window air conditioning units (two 8000 btu units and one 18,000 btu unit purchased in 2007). The COMPRESSOR on the 18,000 btu unit has been out for the last 7 years. I will no longer buy LG products.

Purchased LG French door refrigerator 17 months ago. Stopped cooling three weeks ago and finally repairman came today. Compressor is shot. Could take another three weeks before it is repaired. I have been without a refrigerator for three weeks now. Based on other reviews I can expect the compressor to go out again within 12 to 18 months because LG refrigerators are poorly made but they have a high price tag. I am now stuck with this piece of junk.

Had this refrigerator for 3 1/2 yrs but please let add that this is a second one... My freezer back wall keeps filling with ice, the temp is on no. 2. The refrigerator part is also set on no. 2 and the food is extremely cold. The co. sent out a total of 4 people in the past 2 weeks. I also have a extended warranty and since I have this LG does not get involved. Assurant does not like to do anything because they are not happy with the response from the 2 tech from LG, stated refrigerator is unrepairable... So lets do something here. This is getting so out of hand. It has cost me additional moneys on food not counting stress its putting under.

LG Washer Model # WT5070CW - The outer skirts of the bleach compartment of my LG top loader has rusted and has now split the metal of the machine. Thus, I have rust water draining into my laundry tub. The protection plan I bought was useless for it cover parts not cosmetics. LG could not help me, they wont stand behind their own work. Well, to be fair, the LG Rep did say that although he has no solution, he understands my disappointment. So, LG will not stand behind their product. Too bad for me...a shame. I will never purchase LG AGAIN! If there is a class action lawsuit that anyone knows of please contact me. I am out of $1000, a washing machine, clean clothes, and without recourse. Oh, by the way, this washer is under 3 years old.

Purchased an LG gas range on 06/28/2014 from HH Gregg. The 5 top burners work fine. The oven does not work properly. Set the temperature for 350 degrees, wait for over an hour for it to warm up to the correct temperature. And it will not exceed 320 temperature. Waited an additional hour to warm, gave up on dinner. Called LG technician on phone today, response was to put something to bake in the oven as it is warming up, and this would speed up and solve the heating problem. Again after one hour, oven reached a temperature of 295 only. Gave up again!

I bought the LG wp2060R which is suppose to be a 17 kg washload machine... as the largest LG I have bought, I thought it better for a larger wash load... but the spin dry section is where the problem is... you need to spend too much time balancing the clothes to get the spin dryer to operate properly. Its frustrating it happens with all those highspeed spin driers but the larger capacity machines are the worst. LG as a leading brand need to rectify this problem quickly to take some of the extended stress out of laundering. Its very frustrating. I have neighbours who bought the same model and are frustrated with the same problem. (Trying to be diplomatic even though I desire to use some adjectives to express my frustration with this problem.) We would like to just transfer the wash to the spin and just start without any time consuming adjustments. Thank you.

I believed that LG is one of the best company in the Indian market so I bought LG Washing Machine but before complete 3 years, I got a serious problem with my LG Washing Machine and LG technical engineer said to replace PCB of the machine. He also said that I have to pay for this PCB and I have to pay approx amount is Rs. 4500/-. This is totally not acceptable by me. After all these I have a doubt that my LG Washing Machine is original or duplicate. Is your dealer sold duplicate or not? As per my knowledge washing machine does not have any major problem till 7 to 8 years. It is very serious matter for LG also that LG demands such amount. Can LG give revert for my below queries: -Is my decision to buy LG product is right? -Are you thinking that within such a short time PCB problem is acceptable? -Are you thinking that LG is still a good brand for Washing Machine ?I request you to repair my LG Washing Machine without any charges and prove that LG is best in after sale services. Hope your best support and quick action.

I bought a LG refrigerator in 2012. I bought an extended warranty which carries me into 2017. I am so glad I actually bought the warranty because I am having a nightmare of a time with this crappy fridge. It started with ice build up at bottom of freezer then it stopped cooling and freezing. I called HHGregg whom I bought it from and they send a company to repair it. It took three weeks to get a part. Spoiled food and borrowing a small fridge to keep from spoiling more food. It has been two months and it is going through the same problem again. Do not buy this brand of appliances. Read the negativity about it and how bad LG is with its products and customer care. Im surprised no consumer organization has gotten involved to investigate this company.

Weve already had one small fire as a result. It terrifies me! In addition to this, the oven is suddenly not heating evenly and its only two years old. We are having someone look at it ASAP. I regret this purchase and would strongly advise consumers to STAY AWAY FROM THIS APPLIANCE.

Finally called them back to speak with a supervisor. On top of that called Home Depot where it was purchased because I was at my wits end. I purchased this LG washing machine, Model WT1101CW on May 29, 2014, from Best Buy. It was a replacement for my 20+-year-old Sears Kenmore washer. The LG machine does not clean my clothes because I believe, it does not supply enough water. I called LG to complain and was asked if the water supply line was metal or the flexible hose. My reply was metal, so LG told me it may help to replace it with the flexible! LG/Best Buy installed the machine, it is their responsibility to provide the suitable hose. However, was told that they would not pay to replace or reinstall. I was also told I may get more water if I washed everything on the Bulky cycle. Bottom line, my whites are dingy, my wash clothes sour after 2 uses and customer service stinks. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING BRANDED LG.

We believed LGs advertisements and trusted that they would stand behind their product. The expensive French Door Refrigerator/Freezer (LFCS31626S) has given us nothing but trouble. LG has sent repair technicians several times who have gone so far as to replace the control board (twice) and the compressor complete with solder smoke wafting through our air during a 2-4 hour repair job. Still, in spite of being set at 36 degrees F, the temperature cycles from 45 degrees F to an unsafe 60 degrees F. The last technician who worked on the thing told us that he did all he could, and, within a week, we had the same problem all over again (we called that technician for help but he no longer answered our calls). Meanwhile, weve lost tons of food and have to shuffle things into a standing freezer for salvage. This has been going on for about a year. Rather than do the right thing and replace the unit with a new, good one, LG now wants us to break COVID-19 isolation for yet another failed repair attempt. Most recently, we were handed over the Executive Team where a member picked-up and held the phone line open for over 2 hrs before hanging up without once responding to our repeated pleas that he/she speak. We are beyond frustrated. In fact, we are feeling betrayed. Please help!

Less than 4 year old refrigerator died on 5/24. Took FOREVER to get techs to take the situation seriously and get repair tech scheduled. After 2 failed attempts, an independent non-LG tech finally diagnosed compressor failure. LG phone techs may be trained to downplay the situation, because the repair tech said he diagnoses 5 and replaces at least 3 of these a day. They cannot keep up with the work and LG wont hire more repairmen. Took another 5 days for parts to arrive and then schedule a repair day. Meanwhile I am living with NO FRIDGE and now LG says they will NOT reimburse me for the mini fridge we had to buy (not to mention all the bagged ice Ive had to purchase too!) The best we can do is send you a check for $100 for food reimbursement. I spent $1500 on a refrigerator from you and thats the best you can do???Compressor was finally replaced today and repairman said, I dont trust the new compressor either, so dont put any food in it for at least 48 hours till youre sure its operating correctly. Yikes. This has been such a disillusioning experience, I have praised LG products to anyone asking for recommendations, but I will not anymore due to the TERRIBLE customer service I received!! Refrigerators, and appliances in general, are designed these days to break and NOT be repaired. If thats the case, then the price should reflect a disposable product, not the thousands they do cost. LG is not standing behind their product, but rather hiding behind untrained techs who speak so politely, yet do not disseminate truthful information to frustrated customers looking for help from the company they trusted with their hard-earned money. You have lost a long-time loyal customer with many LG products in our home, shame on you...

In October of 2019 I purchased a full suite of LG appliances, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. All purchased from and installed by Best Buy. I really like all the appliances and they all seem to perform well, with the exception of the dishwasher. I have a constant and ongoing problem with it draining. This problem appeared within the first month. Best Buy came out and could not replicate the problem. In January the same problem again. Best Buy replaced the drain pump. That lasted less than one week. By this point Best Buy was no longer off in home service appointments because of the Covid-19 thing.I went to the LG web. Requested a repair. The service responded the next day, came out a determined a new control board was needed. A week later they came out to replace it. That lasted 4 days. I am now once again without a dishwasher. Ive again requested service from LG but have yet to hear back, that was yesterday. Today I called your 800 number and ended up hanging up on your representative because of the poor service offered by her. Its time you replace this dishwasher, as I am tired of having to arrange my schedule to fit in repairs that last less than a week.

My LG refrigerator broke down over a week ago after just 18 months. I paid over $3,500 for it. I have been trying to have my case reviewed by LG for over a week now but they keep rejecting my proof of purchase even though on top of the original receipt and invoice, the Home Depot store where I purchased it from, issued an official proof of purchase letter. I spent over $7,200 on all LG appliances and I am not happy with any of them. The display on the stove broke down in the first week I had it. The washer keeps stalling when I run certain programs. The dryer routinely stops with an error message that the duct is blocked (which is bogus, we checked it on many occasions and there is no obstruction) and the dishwasher does not completely dry the dishes even in extra dry mode. I have never before written a negative review but this company does not deserve to be in business. They do not stand by their product and use the annoying and false slogan Life is Good. Good for them maybe. Not for the customer. Their customer service is a nightmare. All calls are answered by representatives who serve as a layer of protection so you cannot actually get through to anyone who is a decision maker. If you are considering a purchase of an appliance, please stay away from the LG brand!!! Worst ever. I owned a Samsung fridge before and it worked like a dream and was nicely designed. I kick myself in the rear end for not sticking with my gut when I made the decision to purchase the LG junk brand.

We have had this machine for perhaps 2 years. I dislike that you cannot wash a very small load or ER, cannot add water first, and over the last many months have been constantly getting WE flags. Loads are now taking 2 to 3 hours to do if I dont stand by and monitor. I have tried all the simple fixes but today was the last straw. One set of king sheets, 4 pillow cases and 2 hand towels 6 ER flags so far 2:10 minutes, switched over to just spin after machine shut down and still got 2 ER flags. This machine does not clean any better than the past machines Ive had without all the bells and whistles. I have been very unhappy with our front load LG washer. It frequently leaves brown streaks and stains on our clothes and sheets. We cant get these stains out with bleach or other cleaning products even with multiple washes. Im sure the dollar value of ruined clothes and sheets is more than the washing machine cost! Imagine buying brand new clothes and sheets and theyre instantly ruined after one wash!Weve tried cleaning the inside of the washing machine multiple times with varying products. Weve also cleaned the soap dispenser and drain pump area. Weve spent lots of time trying to fix this, and we still get brown streaky stains on our clothes. It is very difficult to clean the drain pump filter area. It is so low to the ground that you cant get any item below it to collect the stinky water that flows out so it goes all over the floor. Were we supposed to install the washing machine on stilts?! The hose to drain the filter area has never worked. Its also very hard to clean the rubber door seal. We wipe it down after every use. It looks like some brown mildew gets stuck between the rubber seal and metal part of the door but its impossible to get to. I wish we had our old-school top loader washing machine.

Updated on 08/23/2019: Hi this is third review about the same issue I have been having for 6 months in that LG is not fixing the brand new refrigerator that only worked for two weeks. I have been trying for 6 months for someone to show up to fix it. They then sent me an email a month ago saying they would call me to arrange a time to replace it. They didnt call. Another technician was scheduled to come. This would be the 19th appointment I have had with them and none they have shown up to. I just received another text saying that my appointment is cancelled and LG are doing absolutely nothing to honor my warranty with them in rectifying the situation. I can not say enough to never buy anything from LG.Updated on 08/14/2019: 2nd time I am writing about useless LG. I bought a brand new refrigerator. It broke after two weeks of owning it. 6 months has passed. They use A&E Factory as technicians. A&E have cancelled on me 17 times leaving me to wait at home for them and then either not calling at all or they text 30 mins before the end time. LG contacted me after I wrote my first bad review saying they would replace it. This was a month ago and now they have disappeared. Do not buy LG, the product breaks; the company is dishonest, they do nothing to help, they lie and do not follow the warranty. I am still stuck with a broken fridge with no help whatsoever. I never write reviews. I am so upset and angry about this situation I had to write this so no one else goes through what I am right now. I am utterly stranded and at the mercy of the technicians never showing up and LG doing nothing to rectify the situation. Absolutely disgusting.Original Review: Your freezer broke within two weeks of me owning the refrigerator. I have been waiting 12 weeks for someone to come and fix it. Your service provider in my area has cancelled and not shown up to any of the appointments that have been set. We bought our LG refrigerator and stove. It has a stainless steel kind of finish on it. We have had several stainless steel stoves and refrigerators. We have tried all sorts of products made for stainless finishes. Nothing seems to work. If you have a nice kitchen and you want some appliances that look good and clean, never buy one that has this finish. It makes our kitchen look unkept. The appliance is good except for the finish. Wednesday 25th of May my refrigerator stopped working. Both refrigerator and freezer part. I called the 800 number on owners manual that came with the refrigerator and was told I had to either pay over $200 or $399 for 1 year extra insurance because they could not find my registration card and could not tell me when I bought it. So I paid the $399 thinking someone would come out and look at the fridge. I was informed that no one could come until the following Wednesday because it was a holiday weekend. The repairman came on Tuesday and informed my husband that the freon system was not properly cleaned before installation causing the freon to leak or evaporate from the system, causing the entire coolant system to malfunction. According the repairman this was done during the assembly process. He had to order a part and would take a few days to get. We waited a week and had to call LG back to get the repairmans number and find out what was taking so long. We were informed that the part is on back order and will not be available until after the 15th of June. At no time did the repairman call and inform us of this development. I have two small children in my home and cannot keep fresh foods available for them. I will not recommend an LG appliance to anyone. The customer service sucks and the phone center could give a damn. They could not tell me when we purchased the refrigerator but when my husband called they told him it was purchased in December 2014. I bought a home and my builder put an LG fridge, and I was stuck with it. I’ve had it for almost three years now and it broke on July 2nd. I contacted LG to get it repaired. I flipped out on their Facebook social media page. They originally asked me for my phone number because they said they would figure out my check process. It’s back to working and I will enjoy it while it lasts.

This piece of crap not only left my clothes stinky it would not actually wash clothes very well. I was dazzled by a tiny machine they had on top of the real machines. I should have known to never be impressed by a sample. If you want dirty clothes buy an LG. If you try to complain to the company you cannot find a way to contact them. BOO!

My 35 month-old LG fridge model LFC22770SW compressor has failed and apparently an LG compressor certified technician must do the repair - but there isnt one in the whole Toronto/GTA!! Spent almost $3000 less than 3 years ago on a refrigerator. On April 7 it just quit cooling.... I understand things happen but the customer service I received trying to get it repaired was terrible!! I finally had to file a Better Business Bureau complaint to get a buy back. But I went over 2 months without a fridge. 2 months of dealing with LG who really cared less about my issues. There is a class action lawsuit happening. LG do the right thing and recall the fridges instead of putting people through this headache. Picture is the fridge going to the landfill.

We paid a fortune for this washer. It is an LG Wave Force True Balance top load. As another consumer stated, you cannot wash a small or a very large load without the UE code showing on the display. The machine constantly tries to balance itself. To me, 1 or 2 things is a small load. Ive washed 10-12 articles of clothing and I still get a UE. I go in readjust the load, press start. 10 minutes later I get UE again. It takes me 2 hours to wash a load of clothes. The repairman came out twice. We had a discussion over the small load issue. So now my unfortunate solution has been to change to a slower spin speed (which often does not work either) or to wash pants, shirts, towels and under garments all together so I can come up with a load size that the machine will take. Very poor design. I will never buy an LG washer again. It was a waste of money.

My mom actually suggested that I picked that brand and I thought it would be good to give it a try since Ive never had one before. So far its been good. I think its perfect as it is. It has everything that I need in a fridge. I like the double doors on top and the fridge on the bottom. I think its more convenient that way since I use more stuff in the fridge. I dont have to climb on the floor.

I purchased this refrigerator, model LFD22860ST, from Sears in Feb. 2007. Two weeks ago, I smelled an electrical type smell that woke me up in the middle of the night. The light bulbs had been burning while the doors were shut. The wiring was burnt. The light cover was burned and melted off and was laying on top of food. The top of the liner had begun to melt as well. I managed to get one bulb out. The other bulb burned out. One of the plastic tabs in the upper inside corners of the french doors (the part that is supposed to keep the door firmly closed) broke off. And the bracket deep inside that you screw the tab into has broken out as well. So, there is no way to anchor/screw a new tab in even if I wanted to. Its the door with the controls and water in it, so its a challenge to make sure it is not coming open by itself. The plastic piece that runs across the lower inside, that holds the crisper bins in, has broken in the middle. So, every time you pull/push the bins back in, you have to struggle with that as well. The ice maker overfills. And when you open the bottom freezer door, ice cubes come tumbling out all over the floor. With that, Im constantly turning the ice maker either on or off. Ive noticed that LG has discontinued this model. Was it discontinued because of these problems? I paid an awful lot of money for this designer, stainless steel, french door refrigerator. I really expected it to last more than 4 years!

5 years ago I bought a LG stove. Every year since I have to replace the handles. They melt and crack and I find it unreal that any stove would have melting handles as I explained to the service rep. She told me that being it is the 4th time I need to replace them she would try to get them for me at no charge and she would call me back in 2 days with a answer. That was a week ago and I never heard a word. Today I call to find out again I have to purchase them... another 100 bucks. Dont buy from them. They are ripping off customers.

LG French Door Refrigerator is 1.5 years old and cooling system is intermittent, lost entire content of unit. The ice in the ice machine melted while I was away and ruined my hardwood floor ($450 repair for floor). The local authorized service techs said they have had others LG refrigerators have the same problem. Called LG and was able to schedule a technician to come out after 4 tries. I canceled before he came out because it was working again but since it was prior to the 24hr period they would not refund me. The tech said it would be hard to figure out what is wrong if it working. He suggested that he not come out and wait until or if it has problems again. He said he thinks it is the compressor which is $250 + 125 service call to fix but no guarantee that is the problem. Thank God the parts were under warranty. For a $2000 refrigerator I would of expected it to last more than 1.5 year and have no problems. My old 25 year old GE fridge is still working and never been serviced. LG customer service center is not terribly helpful; called a number of times, each time got a different story, they were only able to follow the script and there was no way to escalate to a supervisor - very frustrating. I usually look at the reviews before I buy. Did not this time but wish I had as I am not the only one to have this type of problem. LG not only has problem with their phones catching on fire and the tops of the washing machine coming off but now it looks like their refrigerators are junk also. Bottom line, will never buy an LG kitchen appliance again.

I have never experienced a more frustrating customer experience. Our problem started last summer when our $4,000 LG French Door refrigerator failed, and would not maintain temperature. Our refrigerator was a little more than four years old, and I called LG to arrange a warranty repair. I was told that I would be charged $129 for the service call by one agent, and two other agents told me that there was no charge. However, it was going to be SIX WEEKS before they could get a technician out. We had no other options, so we scheduled the repair. Based on troubleshooting, it was the well-known compressor issue.I dont remember all the details, but I somehow figured out that the call six weeks later was a DIAGNOSTIC call, and that the tech would have to look at our unit, order parts, and that those parts were on backorder, so it might be another month before we could get them scheduled for the repair. I fought like hell, but got them to preorder the parts and have them shipped to the tech before he came. Even then, there was some problem with getting the parts, and LG had to overnight them. The linear compressor was indeed the problem, and it was replaced.Within a month or so, the refrigerator started making a loud KNOCK or POP noise that sounds like a gunshot about every 20-30 minutes. Its loud enough that it wakes me up at night because our bedroom is next to the kitchen. I dreaded dealing with LG, but eventually called and told them this was unacceptable. I finally got hold of someone who would send the tech out again. On April 13th of 2020, the same tech who had installed the compressor came to check out the unit. He heard the noise and told me that according to LGs product manual, this is a normal noise. I can assure you it is NOT. Our refrigerator was quiet for the first four years we had it, then all of a sudden started making this horrible noise AFTER the compressor is replaced? He asked if I had the manual, and said I should read it... that LG claims that refrigerators can make noises. Not a GUNSHOT noise!I got a followup call from LG a week or so later from an actual person to see if the service call addressed my issue. I told them it did not, and that I was upset and angry and frustrated. The woman told me that she would have a member of LG management contact me about our issue. That call never happened, and I never heard from LG.I finally called LG again about a week ago, at the end of June 2020. I worked my way up the chain to someone in Executive Customer Relations, who was very nice. She arranged for a second opinion and a tech to come to our house. There was no mention of any cost, because it should be within the 90-day followup period to the last service call that did not address the problem. I got a text message that said Star Tech Appliance Services has accepted my service request, then I got a message on July 5th (yesterday) that said A technician will arrive on 07/07/20 between All Day to service your product. But this evening at 5:15 pm, the day before the appointment, I get a call from the technician asking for a $160 payment, but telling me that the repair may cost between $350 and $400!I tried using the chat function, but I have now been on hold with LG customer service phone support for 55 minutes and have yet to talk with an agent. I rescheduled the appointment to Friday, July 10th while I sort this out with LG, but I am exhausted by this problem. I have spent hours and hours and hours on the phone with LG, and Im tired of it.Stay away from LG refrigerators unless you like dealing with customer service that has its hands tied when it comes to actually fixing your refrigerator. The agents are truly nice, but LG has some major customer service issues. I read on an LG class action lawsuit page that refrigerators usually last on average about 13 years. LG refrigerators are failing around 3 years. I guess we got lucky that ours lasted 4. Thats not too bad, right? $1000 a year? It was a beautiful unit. We bought a very beautiful refrigerator. Too bad it hasnt performed. I just got off the phone with LG after an hour wait on hold. Ends up that executive customer service was closed for the day, and I have to call back tomorrow. Yay.

Model LFX28978SB - For the 2nd time in the last 4 months, I have thrown away all of the food in our LG refrigerator/freezer. This refrigerator had the compressor replaced 4 months ago and then again, one month later. Now, apparently, the electrical board needs to be replaced. This is a $2,300+ appliance that is less than 5 years old. Just talked to the company that is actually doing the repair and apparently LG wont overnight the part we need because they are paying for the repair. If we are lucky, the part could arrive by Monday at 4:00. Too bad I have two kids and a husband that require 3 meals a day. As far as appliances, LG does NOT provide customers with reliable refrigerators. LG customer service is by far, the worst I have ever had to deal with. Sorry LG, but life is not good with you!!!

Well, Im thoroughly disappointed with my Tromm washer and dryer. The latest failure was the last straw. I have now officially paid more for repairs than I paid for the appliances, and they have been banished to the garage, and hopefully Ill find a buyer, but the word must be out about LG, because Ive had no takers. The washer never has cleaned well, and took forever to do that. The technician said to get a top-load domestic brand, so I went to Lowes and purchased the largest top loader with a spindle that GE makes.Im through with LG, and the repairman said Samsung is no better. So, I guess you could say Im through with Korean products. Thank you very much Korea. Isnt it hysterical that the pendulum has finally swung back towards American products being more reliable and well-built? The way it used to be when I was growing up. Heres the really ironic part. When I bought the Tromm, I sold a Kenmore Series 80 pair to a friend for $100.00. She is still using them and has never had to have a repair. I want them back! I guess the joke is on me, but you know what they say: Fool me once...

LG Front Loader Washer Model: WM3170CW. Purchased this washer from Lowes. After the first wash, the inside seal was giving off a smell. So paranoid about this, I made sure to wipe the inside door glass, seal after every wash. This unit leaves water in the soap tray after every wash, so I take out the tray and drain it and allow that to dry. I also have to get down and open the door with the drain tube. I drain out all the water that is - I guess - still inside the washer?! A lot of water comes out. This washer is a major pain. After continuing to do ALL of this after every use - my washer smells horribly musty and moldy. Totally unacceptable. I have put cleaning tablets in it - and even run bleach through it on the clean cycle. Still smells. This washer is a lemon. Do not purchase it. I deserve a new washer - but a different model! I expected this to be a good washer - being an LG. They used to have a good reputation. I paid $750.00 for this washer.

I have an LG French Door Refrigerator Model # LFX25971ST. The icemaker, front control panel and water dispenser stopped working. I contacted LG to set up a service appointment. The LG technician came out and diagnosed that it was one of three possible circuit boards. He had to order them which required a second visit. The boards didnt fix it. So, the technician did further diagnosis and thinks that a bad wire in the left door is bad which would require replacing the door. The door is sealed so he cannot get to the wire to fix it. What a stupid design. Anyway, he has to come back for a third visit. I contacted LG customer assistance or should I say crap assistance, and requested a goodwill adjustment since my fridge is out of warranty. I felt my request was reasonable because of the amount of time I lost from work, there was nothing I did to cause the failure, and because of a poor design the repair would be a lot more expensive. The LG agent asked me to scan and send in my sales receipt and he would follow up and get back with me with a decision. That was a week ago. I finally called again and as usual, with these customer service centers you get people that are clueless. She told me she would put my request in but it takes about three business days to get a decision. I told her that I did this a week ago. Then she started telling me my fridge was out of warranty. Duh! Really? You know, if its out of warranty and LG doesnt want to back their products, thats life, but they didnt even keep their promise and call me back with a decision. I remember when refrigerators lasted for 30 years. Now, I think LG puts in all this useless electronics which just causes more things that go wrong, forcing customers to have to pay to keep their refrigerators running. Anyway, LG is off my shopping list forever. A Fridge that breaks thats only four years old tells you what kind of quality they have but hey they back that up with lousy customer service. When it comes to LG products all I can say is, Buyer Beware!

Purchased a new $2K+ LG refrigerator 4 years ago as part of an entire kitchen suite. I had a LG certified technician make 5 separate visits trying to repair my refrigerator and it was never fixed. It simply will not cool anything in both the refrigerator and freezer. Thus, Ive had to go out and purchase a new refrigerator at my expense. Ive tried to go through the LG process whereby they would consider replacing or reimbursing my refrigerator. Earlier this year we purchased a new LG Washer (WM4270HWA) and Dryer (DLEX4270W) through The Home Depot. The washer was delivered and installed in our home on Feb 21st, 2015. The dryer arrived on March 2nd. Both machines operated beautifully for about 8 months. They are MUCH quieter than our previous 20+ year old machines, have a nice feature set, and save water. However, in early October, the washing machine developed a leak and dumped a LOT of water. Fortunately, we had taken the precaution of placing the washer in an overflow pan, so there was no apparent damage to our home. I initially contacted LG warranty support to have the washing machine fixed on October 6th, 2015. On the good side, I found their representatives to be quick to answer my phone calls and they were always courteous. On the bad side, they are completely ineffective and incompetent. Ultimately, I fixed it myself.6 October 2015, 9:45 AM EST, I called LG Warranty support to report the issue. I spoke with the representative and provided the washing machine serial number. The representative verified that the washer was under warranty and stated that I would receive a call in 2-3 days from the service scheduling team to schedule a service appointment. I requested and received an incident reference number. 8 October 2015, 11:10 AM EST, I contacted LG to check status on the service appointment. The representative indicated that scheduling team may take 3-5 business days to schedule an appointment.13 October 2015, 11:30 AM EST, I contacted LG to determine why I had not yet been contacted to schedule an appointment. I was informed that the Service Scheduling Team had started the search for a local service provider on the 8th and that the search should be resolved on the 15th. I was told that if they could not schedule an appointment, they would arrange to replace the machine. The representative stated that the time to resolve the service request was unknown. The representative also indicated that the request had been escalated to the top-tier scheduling department, but that it was not possible to check status or contact anyone in that department directly.15 October 2015, 5:55 PM EST, I received a phone call from an LG service representative. They had made arrangements to have the washer serviced and the service representative Jeff (last name & phone number omitted) would contact me shortly with appointment details. I called Jeff directly to confirm and received a message that his voicemail was full. I left a callback number. 16 October 2015, 8:10 AM EST Called Jeff again. The voicemail was still full. Left my callback number again. 1:40 PM EST Called Jeff again and left a voicemail. Jeff eventually returned the call and we scheduled a service call on 19 October.19 October 2015, Jeff arrived at the house and spent about an hour on the phone with LG. He did not disassemble the washing machine nor inspect it in any significant way. He did order a replacement pump. I was informed that the part should arrive later that week. 27 October 9:25 AM EST, I called and left a message for Jeff to find out status and set up a time for the repair. I requested that he call me back as soon as possible with this information. 2 November 2015, 8:00 AM EST, I called and left a message with Jeff to get status and schedule the repair. I requested a call back that day with status.6 November 2015, 7:20 PM EST, I called LG Customer Service to find out what was going on. The service representative was aware that a technician had been assigned and parts ordered. I explained that the technician had visited, ordered a part, and had been unresponsive for 3 weeks. She attempted to contact the technician while I was on hold and could not (no surprise, it was after business hours on a Friday). The service representative indicated she would contact the technician on Monday and call me with status. 7 November 2015, 1:00 PM EST - After a month with NO effective action and washing laundry at the neighbors house, I removed the top of the machine, ran a 15-minute cycle, and identified the source of the leak as a disconnected vent hose in the left rear corner of the washer. I Googled for service diagrams and found it was the hose at the top of part F430 in the diagram. 2:20 PM EST I called LG, explained the situation with the technician and my lack of satisfaction. I requested a service manual be sent immediately. The representative took my email address and claimed the service manual had been sent.3:00 PM EST I contacted LG via live chat and inquire whether the service manual had been sent. The representative on the chat stated he could not access the manual.3:25 PM EST, I called LG again. The representative read my email address back and it had been recorded incorrectly (though we had verified it on the phone the first time!). I verified the correct email address again and she resent the manual. 3:45 PM EST, I did a web search on LG drain vent hose routing and found a diagram showing the correct connection to a fitting on top of the washer drum. I reconnected the hose and since then the washer has been fine. The LG representative that I spoke with on 6 November did eventually call back and offered to start the scheduling process all over again with another service technician. I told her that their service was abominable and that I had repaired the issue myself. We were done. The service manual never arrived.I live in a major metropolitan area with over 1 million people within the county boundary. I am amazed that LG couldnt find a competent technician in the area that could provide prompt service. The inability to email a simple service manual after 3 attempts is equally ridiculous. I will say that most parts appear for the washer appear to be reasonably priced. In the course of my internet research, I found that most design flaws noted in earlier versions of the LG washer had been corrected in my washer. The fact that the hose popped off the fitting may have been a random occurrence. The machine has performed well since. Some closing thoughts: (1) Dont ever install ANY washing machine without an overflow pan that has been connected into your houses drain system, and (2) If you are considering the purchase of an LG appliance or other product, based on my experience, I wouldnt expect LG to honor their product warranties.

And I hear that LG doesnt like to replace their models that dont work. They are the worst appliance company and I will never buy another LG. Customers matter, too bad they dont know it.

I guess I should feel lucky. My $2200 LG refrigerator lasted 3.25 years. Reading all of the other reviews it appears the average is 2.5 years. LG states the life expectancy is 20 years. If they truly believed that, why doesnt the compressor have a 20 year warranty. Its baseless marketing, My dead refrigerator has been standing in my kitchen Since July of 2019. Consumers settled a class action suit against LG, but LG still has not done a thing to resolve my issues except send me a generic e-mail referring to their website. LG responds to these reviews, stating this is not a normal customer experience.LG fought a class action suit, lost, and had an appeal dismissed on their faulty compressor issues. And they have yet to fulfill their obligations in the settlement. This is the routine for LG customers, not the exception. Search: LG REFRIGERATOR CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT BENTLEY, ET AL. V. We have had this dishwasher for about 1.5 years and it was never good. Here are some of the most frustrating things that have occurred with this piece of junk.1) The bottom rack never stayed on the track from day 1. That means no one in my family of 6 can put dishes in the bottom unless you lift the bottom rack and carry it out of the dishwasher fully. Its obscene. Because the bottom never ever stayed on the track, our 4 kids have bent the outer metal frame, and now it is a pile of junk.2) The racks around the entire dishwasher never stay up or in place, we are constantly trying to manipulate these glass racks to stay in place, but they dont.3) The silverware holder is a pile of garbage, never stays put, constantly trying to get it to stick in place.4) If you fill the bottom, none of the top dishes get cleaned.5) Every other wash, we get an error message of some sort that leaves the dishwasher unusable for a couple days. With a family of 6, and kids we are trying to teach how to take care of dishes, this dishwasher is a joke. Had I known that we would pay $700+ for a pile of junk, I would have opted for a much cheaper dishwasher, as I have lived in places in my younger years with very cheap dishwashers and have not had half the issue we have had with this. I would be ashamed to market and sell this dishwasher. After not even 2 years, we are now in the market to buy another new dishwasher because this one is basically unusable. If you are considering this dishwasher, please think twice, find a different one for your home. I thought paying $700 for one would mean it should be pretty decent, it is not at all a good dishwasher. If I could rate it below a 1 star, I would.

LG Front Load Washing Machine bought in 2013 - This washer gets a horrendous build up of thick black mold in the rubber seal and makes the inside of the washer smell like mold and mildew. The seal has a rim with a deep ridge that makes it impossible to clean properly. My laundry does not even smell clean after I wash it. When you call LG, they offer no assistance and state you will have to pay to have the washer repaired due to it is out of warranty. They take no blame in the matter at all and tell you its from improper cleaning. Please, this washer is a WASH OUT! Dont buy LG washers unless you want to get stuck with the bill, the dirty machine and the dirty laundry! Never again will I purchase a LG appliance!

My husband and I purchased an LG Refrigerator, model number LFC23760ST. It was delivered on 6/17/2009. About 1 month later, we experienced getting shocked while reaching for food items while holding on to the door. We called LG, and they told us to call an authorized repair agency and gave us 2 names. We called both of those companies and neither would come to look at our appliance. They said that LG doesnt pay them. We called LG. They told my husband that it must be a problem with the house and not the refrigerator. My husband talked to them on many more occasions, and they said that they would send someone, but no one ever came. Now, the refrigerator completely went out. On October 12th 2011, we called LG. They gave us the same name (1 now) of an authorized repair agency. We called them and they do not come to our area. So, apparently, we never have had any warranty on this product. We did get Sears appliance repair to come out. It turns out to be a blown fuse that is soldered to a control panel. So, $369.00 later and another week without a refrigerator (to order the part), did the short causing us to be shocked cause the fuse to go out? When the repair gets made, will we still get shocked? Why is LG not more concerned about my well-being and that of husbands, and should there be death or serious injury before they will show care at all? Or maybe, the only time they will care is if they are sued and it hurts their pocket book? It has hurt mine both in repairs and loss of groceries. I dont know if anything can be done about this situation but I will never purchase another LG product, and I will tell as many people who will listen not to do so as well. Always remember, if you have a warranty repair on an LG product, no one will come!

MY EXPERIENCE HAD BEEN HORRIBLE! HERES WHAT HAS HAPPENED. Called hhgregg where I purchased refrigerator in March 2016. Leak started August 2016. The phone menu automatically routed my call to LG Customer Service. They said they dont repair damage to home but will repair refrigerator. They made an appointment to send an LG technician in two days. I had to call a water damage company in the meantime because water had leaked through the wall into a hallway and a bedroom. Water was under tiles and was squishing in the carpet. The LG technician finally came. The refrigerator was moved from its niche in kitchen. The technician discovered the problem. He said it was a defective valve in the ice maker. He said theyre (LG) going to hate this but its on us (LG). Called customer service again. Customer service representative, finally agreed to give us a claim number and gave us a number for Product Liability. I kept calling that number but no one ever answered and no one returned my calls. I finally got another number from customer service rep. Bottom line is the estimate to repair and restore is around $6225. They said they will pay $4224. I cannot get my home repaired for that amount. My refrigerator is still sitting in the middle of the breakfast area and the ice maker cannot be hooked until the repairs are made to my house. The defective refrigerator caused all the damage and LG should pay the full cost of the restoration. The Product Liability department has been very disrespectful and rude to me, a customer who purchased one of their products. Does anyone know who I should call at LG to resolve this issue.

WT1101C - I bought this LG top loading washer two years ago. It was great. It replaced a front loading washer that had always been a pain. I love the amount of water it used and how efficient it was. It is so big, it will wash my king size duvet cover. Now, not only is the washer constantly off balance, it will actually fill the washer almost to the top to wash clothes. Today, it spent four hours washing my sheets. As it is off balance, I constantly have to check it and at this point, restart it, to spin only in order for it to finish the wash. Even better, I can find only one repair company who will come out and they want $250 to look at it. So much for customer service. I thought it was bad to replace my last washer after 7 years. This is ridiculous. I would not recommend this washer at any price.

On Feb.3, 2012, the microwave stopped heating. A complaint was lodged with complaint no. **. A mechanic came on the 4th night and told me some parts were burnt and will be replaced on Monday, Feb. 5, 2012, but he did not turn up. Contacting him, he said parts were not available. I have 5-year warranty. This is the first time it happened. Model no. MH4048GWADRQEIL, serial 013EMKUOO6301. Date of purchase, 26/4/11. AMC end date, 24/4/17 - 5 years. Now what should I do? Extra 5 years warranty was purchased and here I am helpless. Should anybody believe that parts are not available on such a huge company running throughout the country? Request to repair immediately. Thanks.

This is the second time our fridge has broken in 4 years. They sent a tech three times to my house. This last go round to do whatever he did - and it did not fix the problem. How many times are they going to pay these repair people before they decide to cut their losses and just get us a new fridge. I wish they could just give us cash replacement value and we could buy a different brand - because LG is terrible.

Spent a lot of money on this attractive stainless dishwasher. After minimal use (work out of town, used it maybe once a month) the pump quit. I live out of town, cant get anyone out here to try and fix it. Guess its going to the dump, probably only did 20 loads of dishes. Lousy loading racks. Though the interior is quite large, the racks dont seem able to nest as many dishes as my old one. About all this dishwasher does is look nice, stainless, hidden controls, sleek handle. Never ever buy a LG dishwasher. Even if Id have bought the extended warranty, the pump and service call are not covered.
