I bought a LG refrigerator 5 years ago, which stop cooling due to leak in sealed system. Warranty 7 years. They refused to repair or replace and offered 40% of initial amount paid and it took them 4 weeks to resolve this. So be prepared to spend a few thousand dollars again within 5 years. Never an LG again! Technician who came to have a look at it suggested to buy KitchenAid or Whirlpool. The delivery man said he was not surprised to have to bring back the LG. It happens often?

This washer left flakes of filth on my clothes after less than a month of washing for a family of 2! Customer Service said to buy a product at Home Depot and run “tub clean”. I did this but the flakes come back every 2-3 weeks and I must run the tub clean cycle and use the product, then rewash my clothes! What a waste of time, money and water! After running tub clean, the tub still needs to be wiped out. At 5’1” I cannot reach the bottom of the tub. I use a step stool which throws off my center of gravity. I also fear that the pressure on my ribs may fracture them...I am 69 and have osteoporosis. I wish I’d never bought this washer.

We purchased all new LG appliances for our new summer home. In our third year of use, our dishwasher began to error out with a 1E code and would shut down. We were able to restart it and it would complete its cycle. That worked for a short time and then it started to error out all of the time. We contacted LG and they told us to contact a repair service. We purchased a new part and that did not work, so LG sent us a new control panel. That did not work. We have taken the machine out and put back in, made sure it was level and it still did not work. We now have an immaculate dishwasher that does not work. Now within the last year, our numbers on our stove clock have been burning out one by one. LG does not stand by their products and had an oh well attitude. We will never purchase another LG product.

Three years ago I purchased the LG WT4870C washer -- a He top loader with stainless tub. Its been less than a satisfying experience owning it. The unit flashes the IE error code on virtually every load of laundry. Since my washer is in the basement, Im blissfully unaware of the error code. So, the wash cycle practically never finished when I expect; Ive come to count on it taking twice as long to do laundry as it should. The IE error code indicates a dirty water filter, and I wonder how I ever existed for years with my old washer -- it never gave me a bit of trouble related to water quality. This unit is so sophisticated. It can actually sync to your smart phone. Who gives a damn!! Can I start a wash cycle and add clothes as the tub is filling with water? Nope! I like to do that to save time, but LG thinks its a good idea to lock the lid so you must get all your dirty clothes inside the tub before you start. You cannot open that sucker while its working. Not happening. And, in this great freedom-loving country of ours, do I get to choose how much water to use to wash my clothes? Nope! I should be able to wash one sock with 10 gallons of water if I choose. Whether or not I have my own well (which I do), it should be my choice. Sometimes I just want to soak -- I mean truly SOAK -- something in water. The control freaks at LG decided to be clever and prevent the user from exercising this right. You will use exactly the amount of water THEY want you to use. Seems very un-American to me. In short, simple is usually better, and the LG WT4870C is not simple. Dont be drawn in by all the bright lights and fancy chimes. This unit is overpriced and the product of Big Brothers crack team of controllers. I wish I had not bought it.

Hoping someone else will read this (and the feedback from countless other discontented LG customers) before buying an LG product. We remodeled our kitchen two years ago and bought all new appliances, including one of LGs expensive refrigerators - model LXFS30726S. About two weeks ago the unit stopped cooling and we called LG to have it repaired (parts are covered under warranty after year 1, labor is not). A repairman came out four days later and deduced that we needed a new compressor and three other parts to fix it. Ordered them and gave us an ETA of one week to be back and have the repair completed. We had to text him on the day it was supposed to be fixed to find out that the part wasnt in yet. Called LG and was told by the hard to understand customer service rep that the parts had shipped and would be in the next day. That didnt prove to be true.Called again two days later and got the Escalation department (which apparently means the excuses keep escalating but the customer service quality does not). At least I could understand this representative, who called the repairman while she put me on hold and said she had confirmed with the repairman (he also works for LG) that the parts were in and hed be out in a week to fix it. We called the repairman because hed said he would be out as soon as the parts were in and we didnt want to wait another week - we have already been without a refrigerator for two weeks and he said the parts were not in and that he hadnt told the customer service rep hed be out the following Monday. So, basically LGs customer service representative lied to me just to get me off the phone. It is sad that such a large corporation cannot get its act together and is acting so shady in dealing with its customers. Im hoping that eventually we have a working refrigerator but not holding my breath at this point. This is apparently an epidemic with LG. Do yourself a huge favor and buy a different brand of refrigerator - we sure wish we had at this point.

The LG refrigerator was on sale. It went beyond expectations. I like the color, ice maker, it was easy to clean and very spacious. I loved the freezer. It matched perfectly with my other appliances. The shelves were set perfect for large and small items. But heavy, loud, handle breaks easy. It was hard to move or slide, it was a real chore just to clean underneath it. You had to be very careful when opening and closing the door because of its weight. But I was very pleased with the refrigerators overall performance. I would definitely have another. It was easy to see what was in the refrigerator.

On October 21st, our LG Model LMXS30776S/00 Refrigerator that was less than 2 years old stopped working. When I called LG Consumer Relations at 800-243-000 they took down our information. They then discussed their LG Premium Care Service Plan with us and provided us two options to get our fridge fixed. Option # 1, $450, Option # 2 $350. Option # 1 covers you for 1 year and the Option # 2 is for 3 months. We go with Option # 2. It is supposed to cover the labor and because the compressor broke that is covered by warranty by LG for 10 years from date of purchase. They set us up with one service repair company in our city, then call us a few days later to say they assigned it to another service repair company in our city. Turns out the second one is the only authorized LG repair in our city. They schedule an appointment, the earliest date, November 14th.On 11/14 the owner comes out and says the compressor is broke and the seal system has been contaminated and he will need 6 parts to fix this. On 11/15 the repair place calls me and says the LG warranty department will not authorize the fridge to be fixed. They are going to get another repair place to come fix it. On 11/16 after not hearing from the warranty division of LG (which is outsourced), I call them. It took 34 minutes before someone answered. They explain to me and say the repair company told us they cannot fix the fridge. I say that is a total lie. The guy then paused. I said I have spoken with them multiple times and they told me you would not authorize them to repair it because you now do not want to pay the labor cost. So LG sells us on the warranty program, but then when they find out the labor cost almost 3 weeks later, they refuse to pay it and tell us we will reimburse the $350 to you.So not only did our less than 2 year old fridge break, they do not honor their warranty programs that they sell to the consumer. I was transferred back to LG Customer Care and waited on hold 45 minutes. I never spoke to anyone again. I tried calling on 11/17 and they say wait times are too long, call back. I then proceed to do a live chat. They push me back to their 800. Long story short, DO NOT buy LG. However, you have to be careful, because LG makes refrigerators for Kenmore and others that are sold in Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears to name a few.LG does not stand behind their products. One local repair place in my city said they dropped LG because LG did not honor the warranties. They said do not buy LG and Samsung Appliances. So our options are to buy a new fridge, or pay someone over $800 to repair our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator. So, we paid $2900 for the LG fridge and now it will cost an additional $800 to get it fixed or we have to spend in the $1,000s to get a new one. I have never in 40 + years experienced such bad customer service with a product. I will never buy anything that LG makes or has made for another company. They do not stand behind their products. Their customer care representatives are terrible. Thanks LG. You lost a customer and hope many more after they read this for life.

I purchased this as part of a set in 2017. Its a black stainless steel gas convection range. My initial thoughts were that the control panel is extremely hard to push. They failed to put glass behind this so I have to push hard to get it to register. This is very annoying however it does work. Lately though, it has developed a new problem. The oven beeps saying it reached temp I put my food in. When I pull it out after the timer goes off, the food is cold! The oven fails to maintain temp. A 4 year old oven that is lightly used should not be having this issue! I have owned cheaper ranges and have never had issues like this, not even after 10 years or more. I am very disappointed with LG line of products.

LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased
LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased dishwasher 7/1/21, delivered 8/10/21. Started leaking at top of door end of October. LG authorized service center made 3 visits between beginning of November and beginning of December. The unit was pulled out and re installed with each visit. Door gasket changed, door lock latch replaced. Unit then developed leak from bottom of door and AE leak code that makes unit beep until power is hit off at the electrical panel. LG then sent out their regional “expert.” He determined a crack in the door panel liner. He also scratched up the control panel during his repairs. He stated that when he finally got a new door liner, that 3 others had been sent to him with damage. They also sent the wrong control panel replacement. The tech, named Jude, called LG with me standing next to him and told them unit continues to leak and is unrepairable. He did a live video with the LG techs showing them the leak and another crack he found in the door. After many emails, texts, phone calls, LG is refusing to refund/replace saying damage was due to incorrect installation of unit. This determination was made after 6 service visits in which the dishwasher was taken in and out each time by an LG authorized service person. It was never noted or mentioned to me the consumer that there was an install issue at any of these service appointments. Nor did their expert say that to LG when he spoke to them In front of me. If it was truly damage caused by installation why did LG pay for 6 service calls? Wouldn’t that have been noted after the first visit ? I now have a new piece of junk that worked for 6 weeks and had been non functional since 10/30, when I made the call for service. LG has offered me 20% off a new dishwasher. Why would I buy another LG product after this experience? The least they could do is provide me a replacement unit if they won’t give a refund.

I have Model WT1101CW LG washing machine and can say with total honesty that this is the worse machine I have ever owned. It goes out of balance so many times during the wash cycle that it takes hours to wash a load. It keeps filling with water to try to rebalance itself so it wastes water and ultimately we end up stopping it with the clothes still wet to dry them because it will not spin them out. We spent over $400 dollars on repairs already and it still doesnt work. UE, UE, UE I am so sick of that code. Dont buy this machine!!!

My sister in MN and I (in AZ) each purchased a new LG top loading washing machine in fall of 2019. We both have a problem with the washer leaving an ashy, white residue on all our black or dark clothing. It happens whether or not we have used soap and even if I just ran the cleaning cycle. Also, the dryer never dries a load of towels on one run. It always stops while the towels are still damp, so I have to run it again. Im very disappointed in these two defects.

Went to Lowes where I bought my LG refrigerator to buy a replacement filter and they said everybody was out of the water filter I needed. Sick of this, they told me the same story last year. They ended up giving me one of their filters from a demo on their floor after I insisted they do so. Im telling everybody NOT to buy LG cause of this problem. Model No. LFX31925ST/06 is the LG Refrigerator I have. This really sucks. If I had know this fact about LG not being able to replace filters for their refrigerator in a timely manner I would have never bought one. Like I said, Im spreading the news that LG cant replace your water filters.

$3000 and 3 years old our fridge died just before the holidays. LG set up 2 appts with their technical support at A&E and neither appointment was honored. I have parts sitting here in my home; a compressor and dryer sent by LG for the technician. 2 days sitting home after canceling a long awaited doctor appt and other work related activities. There seems to be no end in sight and no way to contact upper management at LG in Huntsville, Alabama. They are hiding out there and taking no responsibility for their inferior product. Never again LG.

It had a leaking Tromm front loader. This ruined my 180 sq. ft. of ash hardwood flooring costing approximately $2000.00. After the floor was replaced and a pan placed under the machine, I have noticed that it fills up about once a week. This leak is coming from the dispenser tray! I noticed water and soap residue on the inside of the front panel that had also caused the door hinge to start rusting. After closer inspection of the dispenser during operation, I can see water hitting the angled section of the tray and running over the side. LG said a repair tech would have to fix this, but without a newly designed part, it will just do the same thing again. This is not caused by too much soap as some might suggest because it does this with or without adding soap! The only solution I see is to buy another brand after spending over $1000.00 a year for a poorly designed product.

The LG refrigerator was energy efficient, stainless steel with side by side
The LG refrigerator was energy efficient, stainless steel with side by side doors. I liked the refrigerator size. The ice maker features were nice. But the pullout freezer would get full fast. The filter needed to be changed too often. I wish the freezer was bigger. I had to buy another freezer because the freezer was so small. Not enough space. Sometimes the food in the freezer would defrost. And the freezer on the bottom wasnt very big and would filled too full. But I really just liked the way the refrigerator looks. It is a sleek looking piece of equipment. I did wish it had a few more luxury features. But, overall, it was the best bang for the buck. It had good reviews, had a good price and it was attractive. Id buy the refrigerator again.

My brother bought my mother a state-of-the-art LG washer. It is supposed to wash and dry all in one. At first, it worked good. However the drying failed and LG sent out a repair man. They told my mother that it was her fault that the machine was not working (pilot error) wrong! I tested it myself. I spent hours one night doing every combination the book asked and followed the repairmans advice as asked. It did not dry properly. I cleaned the traps and drain the water from the drain hole. My mother has had clothes all over the bathroom to dry her things. She has had LG get repair for the same problem over and over. This time it burst some sort of air line and made a screaming vent of air. I happen to have been visiting her when it happened. The repair man could find nothing wrong other than it not drying. Mom talks my ear off over the matter and all she wants is to wash and dry. She is running back and forth to the laundromat. She is 72 and should not have to have this type of problem. I know she will not run it now. The machine had scared her on the air whatever. The machine is still under warranty but all they do is try to rip her off. One service sent by LG wanted $65 to even touch something not covered. She asked if he could fix the garbage disposal and he did, and charged her $95. I was smoking hot when I heard. One he was there to fix the LG, but took her for 95 dollars for a clogged disposal. I am 300 miles away and all that keeps happening is I talk to the damn repairman via phone. Anybody have any idea on what I can do? The machine was over $1200 and it only washes a few things at a time. My brother was trying to make things easier for her getting the machine as a gift, but it has made her life hell. She would have been better with her old upright washer. And of course the machine worked the two days he visited. He was impressed with the bells, whistles and lights. How can a company like LG get away with this?

We bought a new LG Top Load Washer and it started to leak water from the bottom. I called LG because it was under the manufacture warranty. We have had the repair people out 5x already and each time they have failed to fix the issue. I have called LG several times to explain that is has been a MONTH with no washer and that I have an immuno-compromised child that needs clean clothes. I cannot bring the clothes somewhere to do them because they could become contaminated and make my child sick. LG customer service has not been any help in resolving the issue. They continue to say that they will send the repair people out again and will not replace the machine. If the repair people could not fix it in 5 tries and a month later, then LG needs to replace the lemon of a washer they manufactured. I have a sick child and they have no consideration for that. I called Home Depot where I bought the machine and an extended warranty, but they cannot do anything because they have to wait until the manufacturers warranty runs out! I will never buy any LG products again!

I just received a follow up call from an LG representative asking me all the same questions that were asked when I called in. Recd LG washer on Feb 07 from Lg warehouse. Around 4 PM Complaint to HD (we purchase from Cambridge store). On Feb 08 that washer front door is leaking. When we spoke to LG they ask us to troubleshoot the washer by doing a tub cycle. We question why we should be doing all this when in fact its a brand new washer which came directly from your warehouse, (CSR are horrible and rude). LG then said they will send a tech out to look at it. We cant have it replace since their policy is complaint must be file with 48 hrs. Our complaint was file with 24 hours. This company is a joke! Just look at all the 1 star complaints. Where were these reviews when I purchased? Well, the refrigerator was a brand new model with a brand new design called a linear compressor. This so-called ‘energy saver’, has been verified a complete disaster. It was faulty from day 1 and all the technicians will agreed. LG has since redesigned it, so now instead of 1 1/2 to 2 years, it is made to last up to 3 years before it fails. Save on energy? Perhaps, but you will pay through the nose on faulty parts every couple of years. It will cost you at minimum of $1,000 for the compressor to be replaced and a bit less to have your motherboard replaced when it fails. This does not include the hundreds to thousands in wasted food when the refrigerator crashes, the 2 to 6 week wait for a certified repair person (eat out every night?), the hours spent dealing with LG (NON-EXISTENT) customer service, who will never return a call or follow-up, who will argue with you, mock you, and make up lies regarding what their warranty plainly says in writing and in an easy to read chart, which they will refuse to honor. I urge you all to file an online complaint with your states attorney generals office. They handle these types of cases. Instead of complaining on here, where nothing will come of it, take a moment to get real action. They are basically stealing! They are the ones who manufactured faulty parts, they should be held responsible. If you bought a car that had a defective part, there would be a recall and the company would replace it. But LG has no honor, or concern for the millions of dollars paid out by consumers to repair or replace their products. They will NEVER care, unless they are FORCED TO!!! Aside from your State Attorney General, complaints to the Better Business Bureau, media outlets, blogs, complaint sites, The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), State Consumer Affairs Departments, letters to the store managers who carry their products, etc. LETS MAKE THEM ACCOUNTABLE!

Our other option was to buy compressor @ $250 and get it installed next day. I figured $900 and no idea how long it would last wasnt an option. Bought a new one, not an LG. Purchased new Instaview French door refrigerator with CustomChill drawer, model LMXS30796D, on December 6, 2019. It was delivered the next day. As I was told by my salesperson that upon delivery I should inspect the refrigerator throughly before the delivery people bring it inside, I made sure two of us monitored the delivery the entire time. We were there from before they unboxed it from right off the to when they left and they did a beautiful job. So when I discovered a six inch scratch along the tom edge of the CustomChill Drawer later that night I was disappointed, but knew it was not as a result of the delivery. They very next day I contacted LG and they opened two case numbers (one was due to the CustomChill drawer sticking when you try to fully open it) and told me I wold be contacted within five business days. They said that in the meantime I could email the purchase receipt, delivery receipt and a photo. As I never received any communication from LG, on the fourth and fifth days I reached out to them again. The fifth day has come and gone and still nothing from LG on either issue. While I love the refrigerator, I am very disappointed in LG customer service. At this point in time I would be very apprehensive about purchasing LG again.

I saw the LG refrigerator on the store and it was a good size for this particular model. My parents have LG as well. So, I ordered it online and so far, I like the size of it. It has two different store options, but it’s a big room. Also, I dont like the smart inverter technology that it has. It turns off a lot more than it’s supposed to, so the temperature goes up and the cycling of the temperature is probably more than it’s supposed to. The refrigerator goes warm inside and the cooling kind of cycles on and off to save energy. But then, it goes too warm before it cuts off to go back to cold.

This is by far the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned and was the most expensive one! The tines constantly collapse and allow the dishes to tip over. The soap dispenser door is tricky to get closed. Sometimes it wont dispense at all. If the door does come open usually only half the soap is dispensed. It doesnt clean anything. We practically wash every dish before loading, and when you go to unload, half are still dirty. The upper rack will not hold any sized glass or cup well. They constantly tip over. This dishwasher has broke more glassware than you can imagine. The lower rack doesnt want to roll in and out without coming off the track. I hate this dishwasher.

How can I remedy this problem with my LG refrigerator? This is the only complaint I have about this refrigerator and I hate having to do this every 4-6 months. If I could send you pictures I would.

LG Dishwashers are Horrible... It takes over two hours to do a load of dishes. Plus the controls do not light up correctly and you cant see which setting to set unless you get a flashlight. Plus half the time the dispenser for the soap does not open half the time. Paid way too much for this product to have so many problems... very disappointed.

We have only had our LG stove for 6 years and it now has a large, jagged crack across the entire top. We have not dropped anything on it and have taken very good care of it, so it had to be the heat from the burners. We also have an LG dishwasher which we have had to have repaired NUMEROUS times. AND we have an LG refrigerator that, all of the sudden, the light bulb inside wouldnt turn off and it was heating up all of our food and we had to have that repaired. I will never buy another LG product again. We bought all three at once so they would match when we moved into our house 6 years ago and we have had problems with ALL of them.

Absolute junk. Has not worked right since day one. Cooling problems and error codes since new. 2014 by the way. More than a half dozen repair calls and still not fixed. Now out of warranty and last service technician says its the main wire harness. Called LG service. Horrible. Besides arguing that the fridge is out of warranty. Then tells me the wiring cant be replaced anyway. Now stuck with a shiny $2700 lawn ornament. Stay away from LG. Back to using my 15 year old Frigidaire apartment fridge until I can afford to buy a new one. There will never be another LG or LG-affiliated product in my house again.

I bought the refrigerator July 2016 plus a 5 year warranty. The first year the water flow from the in-door water was very slow. I had to call for service and they fixed it. Now July of 2019 (3 years) the whole refrigerator stopped working. Customer service is a joke. Ive called customer service three times, speaking to three different reps. The first one walked me through a reset and literally said that she guaranteed me that would fix it. She said check in eight hours. I did and it was not working. This was Friday and they are closed for the weekend. I spoke to another rep the first of the next week and he said that it would take until the following Monday for a tech to look at it to diagnose. That will be the ninth day without a refrigerator and freezer. He told me to prepare to be without a refrigerator for another two weeks after the tech makes the diagnosis and orders the parts. That will make 23 days from the time I reported. I spoke to a third rep to find out how to get reimbursed for the loss of $1500 in food. She said she could only authorize a $100 reimbursement. I recently looked at the current reviews and realized everyone is experiencing this same problem. I will never buy an LG product again.

I purchased an LG top load washing machine and have been completely unsatisfied since the day I bought it. My clothes suddenly smell. I was told that is because on newer machines the drain is closer to the clothes, if that makes sense. The drain pump has broken twice. It is not a part that is in stock, so we often have to wait for the part to get it before the machine can be fixed. It also has the off balance problem that many have already mentioned. It is hard to get it balanced. Obviously, this washing machine has a defect with the drain. They should take responsibility and replace it, but are not willing. I would echo what others have said already--do not buy LG.

Purchased LG model LFXC24726S counter depth refrigerator in late Sept 2016. All was good until April of 2017. The ice maker started leaking and would freeze so that the ice bin could not be removed. The water would leak out onto the front of the refrigerator causing the panel to be discolored and the bottom drawer on outside to be constantly water spotted. We had a repair man from Famous Tate replace ice maker. Same thing happened. He said the whole door had to be replaced. He ordered the door in early May. It is now August 26 and still no word from them. We also contacted LG and they promised to have someone get back to us in a few days. That was 10 days ago. We plan to go to Famous Tate today and try to get something done about this issue.

I have purchased two over the stove microwaves since 2010, both LG from Home Depot and Lowes. The manufacturers warranty runs out after 12 months. The first microwave lasted 13 months; the second, 12 months and 15 days. Six months into this second microwave, the left side of the numeric panel ceased to work. I do not consider a microwave a disposable device; rather, one that lasts for several years. I am very disappointed and will not purchase any LG product in the future, period.

Our LG stove has also experienced cracked plastic stems on the SS burner knobs from regular use as others have posted. The problem was discovered when one burner would not turn off as the knob had rotated past the stop. This is a major safety hazard. The cost of replacement knobs is at least $75 to $95 each and not an acceptable option. I have devised a simple fix to reinforce cracked (not broken) plastic burner knob stems. The total parts cost is less than $5 for five burners and can be done using typical household hand tools or tools that cost only a few dollars each. I am preparing a detailed instruction sheet for sale on eBay for about $10, but will offer the draft now at a discount to anyone interested.

Avoid if possible. Bought a washer and dryer pair. It arrived fine and the washer seemed to have mounted great. When it came time for the dryer after the installation, the dryer started giving errors about the ducks being blocked. First checked the actual installed duck work, that didnt help; then removed the dryer from atop the washer and removed the exhaust altogether, this also did not remove the issue. Started contacting the LG support, after some back and forth; reset the machine a couple of times and this also caused no breakthrough. They scheduled a technician to come in 3 days from then. The day the service was supposed to be done, I took a day off work and had a 2 hr time slot. The time slot came and when with no technician. Ive contacted the support again about why he did not show up. They provided me with no concrete reason as to why, and no explanation why they didnt even contact me about it. More back and forth on how to solve this issue and as it turns out they cannot even rebook me for another time slot; since there are no open slots. So now, Im two weeks into not be able to use a dryer with no time that a technician can come in to fix it, and support who dont really care if this gets solved. All of this on a $2500 purchase of a brand new set. To summarize avoid buying LG.

This expensive refrigerator (MODEL LFX25778ST) was one of the worst purchases ever! The ice maker - only makes about 20 ice cubes on a good day. The ice maker itself breaks after 2 years and then it costs a fortune to fix. May as well buy another fridge. The Customer Service from LG was even worse than the product itself. Truly a horrible experience. I would caution anyone from buying LG. I have had to make several large purchases since this fridge and vowed to never buy LG again. I will never and will encourage anyone I know and influence to not buy LG. Not normally this type of person but when the consumer is being taken advantage of by such a big corporation its time to stop supporting that corporation.

I will never buy another LG product again. I bought a top load washer 3 years ago. It was serviced once under warranty within the year. About 3 months out of warranty I get the UE message constantly. I thought it was no level, leveled it... OOH EE OOH EE UE... I thought it was too many clothes. OOH EEE OOOH EEEE. It is a big joke now between my wife and I although irritating. What good is a high-efficiency washer that uses 50 gallons of water (I am not sure of that amount but it fills the drum 3 times to balance) every time you do a load of laundry. I am sending this one to the junk pile soon. You shouldnt have to buy a new washer every 3 years. Actually this one should have been scrapped a year and a half ago. I think they have the initials backwards LG should be GL... Good Luck!

We bought our LG gas stove in 2009. The first problem we had with it was a week before the warranty was up, lucky for us. The problem was that the valves for turning on the stove were too easy to turn on. I had accidentally turned the stove on with my behind as I turned away from the stove and brushed against the knobs. I didnt think much of it at the time until our toddler was working his way around the kitchen and on two occasions slapped at the knobs and turned the gas on in both cases. We immediately called the LG service line and they had the valves replaced. What we noticed shortly after was the knobs themselves getting loose. When I checked them out, I noticed that the backer was cracking and crumbling away. I contacted company for replacement parts and was shocked at the cost of replacing the knobs, about 30% of the cost of the stove itself. I checked the net and found that this was a common problem with no solution listed. What I did to correct it was to take one of the remaining better knobs and go to a good appliance retailer. I pulled knobs of stoves in inventory and checked to see if the LG knob would fit. When I got one, I asked about ordering replacement knobs for that unit and found them to be of better quality and lower replacement cost. I picked up a set of 5 for under a $100 and I am sure I could have gotten a better deal if I wasnt in such a hurry to get a set that fit. I will never by an LG again and have told everyone I work with my LG horror story. Also, my LG french door fridge has had a drawer bracket crack and my LG dishwasher is experiencing problems as well. They were all bought at the same time.

Bought a LG topload washer and dryer on Feb 21, 2014, on March 21, 2015 the circuit board fried. I contacted LG and they had given me the extended warranty, so kudos for them for that. From there the bottom drops out. For over a week they said that no repair shop would come and fix it because I lived too far out, I looked them up and there were two within 10 miles of me. Finally I asked them what address they had, for some reason they had an address that we hadnt lived at in over 7 years. Got that fixed and a week later the repair guy shown up for 10 minutes to tell me that the board is fried and they will have to order one. So they order it and they deliver the wrong part, he calls LG and orders again, explains to them what he needs. They send exactly the same part, so he opens a claim. That was over two weeks ago, I have called them at least 3 times a week only to be told that they have to order the part, but they cant tell me when they will get it. They have put me on hold for over 30 minutes, hung up on me while I was explaining to them what was going on. It has been a nightmare, just got off the phone with LG and the guy was very nice and apologetic, and said he will escalate it, but I have been told that several times. We now have a $900.00 paper weight sitting in our laundry room and LG has been no help. They gave us the extended warranty, but it is looking like that was just to appease us as they cannot tell me when it might get fixed. Never buy LG again. Top of the line LG purchased in Spring 2018. Was expensive. Control panel uses touchpads on hard plastic service which also serves as the door handle. We bought a 2 year extended warranty. The new vertical cracks cover the control touch pads, and will eventually render the dishwasher inoperative. Of course, it is considered normal wear and tear, and not covered by warranty. But, for $240 plus $250 flat rate service charge, I can get it replaced. How long before it cracks again? What a piece of junk. Do not ever buy a dishwasher that has flimsy handles which house the controls....

LG told me to call any appliance service and see if they would come and fix it???? I am ready to eat the $2300.00 and get this garbage out of my house. If I could give a minus in their rating, it would be negative 100. Whatever you do, read all of the bad reviews and buy a dependable appliance. I know I will get an automated response from Lousy Garbage. Lowes is trying to get me a return from LG. I am not holding my breath. I would rearrange the clothes, press the Start button and hope for the best. Finally called LG and the response was that they would email me directions on how to balance the machine. Thats it?! Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty plan. The Lowes Service Advantage rep was very nice and set up an appointment with the local appliance repair tech. He arrived today and asked (1) had I had any service before and (2) did I know about a recall? No to both questions. He explained that he would order parts and set up an appointment for next week. Bought an LG refrigerator in November, 2015. (We replaced a GE refrigerator that was 9 years old which worked fine, except that the fan was noisy.) In September, 2018, the LG refrigerator quit working. We discovered water on the floor and found that the ice had melted. All the food was spoiled. Upon contacting LG, we were initially provided a list of companies to contact to get the refrigerator repaired, and all companies were located in Georgia (we are located in Wisconsin). I then contacted a couple local service companies, and both told me that it was the compressor and would cost $1500 to replace (LG does not cover cost of repair after one year) and would take approximately 10 days to get the part and then install. We had no backup refrigerator and neither the vendor we purchased it from nor LG offered a loaner during the lengthy wait. Therefore we had no choice but to buy a new refrigerator. After 3 months of dealing with LG customer service, we were sent a check for $175 to cover spoiled food. I will never purchase another LG product. They take no responsibility for defective products - and from the reviews I’ve now read, there are many defective products bearing the LG brand name.

Noise! Popping, knocking noises from my LG side-by-side Refrigerator! At first, I only noticed it happening at night. Now, they are happening in daytime as well. Sometimes, it is really loud! The sound comes from the inside. Sometimes, it was from the fridge or from the freezer. I have tried reporting this to their Customer Service Department but I come to a conclusion that they must not have one because I have never had a reply!

We bought an LG top loading washing machine in July of 2014. Initially, everything seemed to be okay, but after the warranty expired, the machine started showing the ue code. We tried everything the owners manual suggested to no avail. I contacted the LG service center and was told that it would cost 224.94 for a one time repair. That would have been acceptable, except that LG wanted the payment upfront! Now, I dont know of any business that requires upfront payment, except for special orders. We ended up calling a local service company for service. We will see how that plays out. He is scheduled for about two weeks. I will never buy an LG appliance again.

Lg tends to make really good electronics. I like that the lg refrigerator is really good and high quality and they tend to last a relatively long period of time and i never really had a problem with them. I like that the smart black lg refrigerators tend to have a lot of room in the freezer section. I tend to always like that lg has a large main design. But they often tend to charge alot for their refrigerators and also they charge alot for there ovens, and they charge alot for there cellphones. It also causes a higher energy bill. Its sometimes hard to bring it into the house. But thats fine. At the end of the year i do intend to buy one more refrigerator. It is make alot better than other companies.

I purchased it in January 2011 at Home Depot. As of this week in June 2013, the refrigerator runs non-stop and the freezer frosts over. The refrigerator part does not keep food cold, only cool. LG customer service was like talking to a wall. I also bought a washer: a full tub without an agitator and water saver. The tub never fills up enough to cover the clothing I end up pouring buckets of water in the tub to fill over the clothing. The agitation is so slight that stains and dirt are rarely removed. NEVER EVER buy an LG product. They are high priced junk.

Even though we always have problems with the musty smell (while leaving the washing machine door open, emptying drain monthly, cleaning filter monthly, using bleach Time Cycle monthly up until the machine was 16 months old), the last 3 months we have had this random brown residue that streaks our clothes, stains our clothes and we cannot get it out.LG customer service has not been helpful, stating we should have called earlier with our complaints. I had to beg for a supervisor, who said he would try to get it covered to be seen by a technician by sending our complaint to a consultant. We are in the process of doing that currently. I am very disappointed with this machine from the get go.

So far, so good! This is a great combo and both have sanitizing cycles! It also thinks! Does a great job! High efficiency and senses the amount of items in the tub! It doesnt have the agitator and thats just fine! Blankets, quilts, heavy towels go in without issues. As for the dryer, I have a choice on how to open the loading door! Either to the right? Or towards the floor! From the top of the door, down! Ive heard people criticize LG but Ive never been happier with my Washer and Dryer. I love my LGs!!!!

I purchased a home with LG appliances already installed (They were nearly new.). The fridge is a LRSC26923TT model. The plastic water supply lines on the back of the unit split and sprayed the wall behind the fridge, damaging the drywall on both sides of the wall. LG stated that since I was not the original owner, their warranty would not cover it. I have 2 other LG appliances in this kitchen, and I have had problems with those as well. No assistance. Their customer service department is deplorable. They are arrogant and condescending. I will never buy another LG product. I am on a mission to warn everyone I can.

I purchased an LG Front Load Washer (model:WM2688HWM) on 8/19/06 from Best Buy, for $1,349.99, plus pedestal for $179, 2-pack of hoses for $26.99=$1,555.98 plus $101.14 for tax. My total payment was $1,657.12. In addition, we purchased the 5 year service plan from Best Buy for $199.99. Our total investment was $1,857.11. The unit was delivered on 9/15/06. Exactly 5 years and one month after delivery and 1st use in 2006, on 10/15/2011, our machine flashed tE on the display, and we could not use the machine, and we were out of warranty by 1 month. An authorized LG technician was called, and he came out, ordered a new thermostat, and replaced it on 10/24/11. 3 weeks later, on 11/18/11, the machine stopped, and again flashed tE on the display panel. The technician was not able to come out right away, so a new thermostat was installed on 12/3/11. On 1/31/2012, the machine flashed tE, is not working, and again I am waiting for the Authorized Technician to come. I called LG Customer Service this morning, (1-800-243-0000). The rep I spoke to was very nice, but could only give the answers he is trained to give. I then spoke to a very nice supervisor, who was also well trained to give non-helpful answers to the consumers. My first washer lasted 22 years, and it was not an LG. I never had a service call for a thermostat problem on that washer, but did replace it once on the dryer. At that time we were a family of 6. The children played sports. We did a lot of laundry, but the machine was made well, and I paid a fair price for a product that was predicted to last 20 years, but lasted longer. With all the laundry we did, I would have been thrilled had it lasted only 15. This LG has cost much more money. Our youngest was a senior in high school, and then left for college when we bought it, so basically I have done laundry for my husband and I, who dont get terribly dirty, and the machine was used 2 or 3 times a week. The repair man is now here, and the new thermostat he has installed is still flashing tE. He said he has spoken to the company, and was told that the problem could not possibly be the main board, that it has to be the thermostat. He is on the phone with them now. I will pay for another service call today, but as soon as I send this email, I am going to start researching and determine what washing machines have a better service record. I have been told that LG has such great technology, but what benefit is good technology, if it cannot be incorporated into a product that will work for a reasonable length of time?

Wow, I will never ever deal with LG again as long as I live! Worst company. We just purchased our fridge, an LG model LTC22350SS/00. Meanwhile, all of our GE appliances work fine! This fridge hasnt worked from day one. I have been on with about 20 reps from LG and have gotten nowhere until I threatened to take them to court and call my local channel 7 news. And believe me, I will. These people just want to fix the broken part and blame you for all the fridges problems. I am done. I will continue to fight until I have a brand new fridge or my money back! I will keep you posted. Junk. Junk!

Purchased my LG French door refrigerator in 2015. After the first year of owning it, the water lines froze up completely and started freezing the inside of my refrigerator. Service tech sent out to fix. Cost was more than what it should have been to fix a refrigerator that was just a year old. Then year 2 another service call and money spent out of my pocket to fix just to turn around and call them 7 months later. After more money was thrown into the refrigerator it was fixed only for a short time. In 2018, had another service tech come out and he could not tell me what the issue was. Call again, another service tech came out and we were told it was fixed. 2 weeks later I called again because the fridge had stopped Cooling yet again and again we lost most of the food inside. This time we were sent parts and the Tech that came out said it would cost over $1,000 for labor and we didnt have the parts that we truly needed. The service technician somehow broke the back panel of the refrigerator also. This was in July of 2018. The tech left the refrigerator taking apart and in pieces. Over a year later 2 October 2019, the appliance still sits in my house with the parts out of it and I have a non-working refrigerator. I purchased a small used refrigerator to get by until I was financially able to purchase another refrigerator. In 2015, we suffered a house fire which was a total loss so when I redone my kitchen I read reviews and thought I was making an informed purchase. Was I ever wrong!! My LG refrigerator isnt worth a dime and my LG dishwasher has had several issues in which Ive not even bothered to try to get fixed. I have just dealt with these issues myself also I have a LG washer and dryer. Luckily I havent had issues with it yet but I wouldnt be surprised if and when it does happen. With a name brand such as LG you would think they would do more for the customer. I finally spoke with LG again September of 2019, as I had heard they were covering certain aspects of French door refrigerators being fixed in the hopes of getting back my $2,500 refrigerator but still nothing has been done. I would steer clear of LG appliances in general. But more importantly I would make sure I stayed away from any LG refrigerators as they do not stand behind their product. This was the first time I had purchased so many appliances at once and lesson learned the hard way!

We purchased this refrigerator Dec. 15, 2014 its not a year old and still under the factory warranty. This is the second time that we have had this problem with the refrigerator not getting cold. May 2015 was the first time someone came out and adjusted the temperature, the same problem happen again around September 11, 2015 where it wasnt cooling or making ice. The day I got out of the hospital, I come home and everything in my freezer had thawed out and spoil. I began calling immediately but no one seems to put themselves in our shoes. We have been without a refrigerator since September 18th, 2015. Someone from Jebco in Saraland, AL. came out on September 23, 2015 said that he had to order a part and for us to unplug our refrigerator until he return on Monday September 28, 2015. Well Monday came, his clerk called to say that he would not be able to come on that day. I was so upset that I hung up on her, but later called back to apologize, later that day she called LG to inform them that she did not think I was satisfied with them QUOTE: Im not satisfied with anyone because everyone has a refrigerator and we dont. We are having to keep water in a cooler and having to go out to food because we cant put anything in the fridge. All we are asking is for them to give us another refrigerator, nobody seems to be able to accommodate for our loss. We are still paying for a broke down refrigerator, its notfair. I thought customers were always right and came first, well it seems that is not a true statement, because if it were true they should make sure that the customers are happy and satisfied to every extent.I am so dissatisfied with HHGregg and LG, I am letting everyone know not to deal with either one of them because they dont stand by their word of satisfying their customers. Is there anyone that can help me please come forward to give me some advices? We have spoken to so many peoples and nobody doing anything.

I purchased washer and dryer (LG waveforce topload) from Home Depot last year and making such a big purchase was quite scary. I could not more disappointed!! As I write I am going into 3 hours on 1 load of towels and a few baby items! Seems like every other load will constantly give me the UE code during spinning, doesnt matter how many times you adjust your clothes. I mean who really has time to stand there for over 3 hours adjusting clothes! This is insane! I have had servicemen from Home Depot come out 3 times over the last year and NOTHING has changed. By reading the other reviews I see I am not the only one, which brings little comfort as I pull my hair out and pack my other bedding to go to Laundromat so I can go on with my day. Shame on you LG for deceiving us public in not only thinking we were getting a good product but also saying its energy efficient and for wasting my money and another day off!!!!

First review I have ever written but due to the inferior product this company has produced I feel it is absolutely necessary. We purchased this LG Top Loading Washer Model WT5070CW in Sept. 2014 after losing our Kenmore in a house fire. This machine sprung a leak and flooded our house wrecking our new engineered floor. The 5 yr. extended warranty was purchased but that only helps with the repair bill. Home Depot tried to go to bat for us to get our insurance deductible back but no luck. When the repairman came out he said it was one cap that had come unglued and per a call to his superiors he was told to simply glue the cap back on. This was their big fix. First of all, why in the world is there only a glued on cap between the consumer and another very expensive flooded floor repair?! When the insurance company tried to work with them they said they doubted that is even what caused the problem... Really! Im taking this lousy company to small claims but doubt it will do any good. I think what caused the cap to come off is the amount of shaking and rattling this washer goes through during spin cycles! Like all stated before me, dont buy any of their products - absolute garbage! And shame on Home Depot and other companies for continuing to sell their sub-par products!

LG Microwave Mod# LMC0975ST/01. This microwave came with a very user friendly owners manual, that I like. Unlike my other microwaves this one has a hexagon rotating ring with six wheels for the glass tray to sit on. Plus the glass tray has glass bump outs on the bottom that fit into a bump out shaft on the microwave bottom. No more dislocated dishes falling or sliding off. This microwave has performed better than I expected and I have enjoyed using it from day one. It has all the usual programs like, Smart diagnosis, Auto cook, Auto reheat, Popcorn, Defrost, Power level, Cook time, Stop/clear, Start/enter, interrupted cooking. There is a beautiful sleek smoke glass full front panel that will match any decor. I found the tip section on what to use, or not to use, when it comes to microwave-safe cookware very useful. There is also a Child Lock safety feature, and the sound signals are very audible on this microwave. There is a clock, Kitchen timer and a easy to use, slide touch timer. Dont forget to read the maintenance section. I found it very helpful. Limited warranty for Canada or the USA, is provided at the back and there is also a 1-800 number plus their website.

We bought this washing machine from Pacific Sales in March of 2011. I leave the door opened after washing. I dry the inside after each wash! I clean the filter at least once a week. The water coming from the filter is rancid. There is mold continually growing on the inside of the rim of the tank. The machine smells like mold, even a week after using the sanitize function with vinegar. I have called LG so many times I cant even keep track anymore. Each time they say have you called before? In September of 2012, I purchased the 31 CF capacity LG French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. Right away, water leaked out onto my tiled floor. The store manager actually came out and fixed it for me; he replaced a faulty part, and no more leak. Then, when we would set the freezer temp to -2 degrees F, the panel would light up with error codes, and the water and ice dispenser wouldnt work. LG service said not to set freezer below 0 as it causes the mother board to freeze up. Had to unplug it for six hours, to reset it. ??? Why have settings if you cant use them? Went along fine, but ice cubes remained a bit watery. Then one morning last week, opened freezer to a mess of thawed food. Then the error codes began coming on again. It is so sad there is apparently no quality control at LG!! Beautiful concept, but for $3300 one would expect to get more than ten and a half months out of a major appliance! Calls to Geek Squad with a promise someone would contact me within 48 hours. No call for over a week! I raised Caine, and now they are replacing my unit with one of my choosing. I am going with the new, four door Samsung with Soda stream. Fingers crossed! Get it together LG!!!

LG Tromm. Well reviewed. No experience with the brand, so it was the first time. It was very expensive 11 years ago, but seems to have come down in price. Extremely satisfied with all the options, for e.g., delay wash, hand wash. The only problem was the mould around the rubber seals. I cant seem to get rid of it, even though Ive tried everything suggested, both by professionals and on the internet. The capacity was large enough to wash a King duvet and clothing for a family of 5. It needed to be energy efficient because we do 3 full loads a week. It had excellent reviews. Repairs are our main concern. Although we bought extended warranties for the pair (washing machine and dryer), it doesnt cover all parts or repairs, but for most. I wish the sales associate gave us the pros and cons of these machines. We have more pros when reviewing the LG Tromm, but more information about the mould problem would have helped.

Had to buy a new dryer when our old ones cord was incompatible in our new home, decided on the Gas Dryer Model DLGX3571W. Soon after purchase, started making high-pitched whining noise. Also started shrinking a lot of our clothes. Had 3 service calls with seller (ABT, who is awesome), then 2 with LG. First LG tech told me the problem was a missing outside vent. Brought in a handyman - the vent is right there, working fine (i.e., LG tech flat-out lied to me). Second tech couldnt find an issue either, thought the noise was an installation issue.Called LG, they told me that (1) they cant find a problem, (2) its operating as designed, (3) if they bring someone else out who still cant find the problem, theyll charge me, (4) they wont replace it because they dont know whats wrong with it. I asked if their dryers are designed to shrink clothes. Response: We couldnt find a problem. I pointed out that even if they cant find it, shrinking my clothes is a problem. Response: Its operating as designed. I said that my previous LG dryer didnt shrink my clothes, but this LG dryer does that when I use the exact same settings I used before. Response: We couldnt located a problem.

Our new (under 2 year old side by side fridge/freezer) stopped cooling. I tried doing the smart diagnostic app and it said it was working fine. I tried to make sure doors were sealing fine, they were. I called LG. They said it might of done an auto defrost. I was told to unplug it and it would reset it that temp would return to normal in 12 hours. We woke up the next day to a flooded floor. All food in freezer was defrosted. Refrigerator was at 65*. I did the smart diagnosis again. It said it was fine. Called LG and sent them the diagnosis and they said to unplug and wait 6 hours. I lost all food and temp Kept dropping. I was told to put food in coolers. Most was trashed. I was told they could send a repair person in 2 weeks!!! I did the best I could with food in coolers but lost it all. LG was not helpful.A repair person came out earlier than quoted and it seemed to be working (known compressor failure) yet now temp is plummeting again. At this point I just want a full refund to buy a new non LG fridge. I’m hoping temp increases, yet I just emptied ice so hopefully if it fails it won’t ruin my new floor. I just bought food to replace the food lost. I have no other fridge at my home. 4 days and it’s not working again. Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa, Florida last Nov 28, 2014. Even after reading the reviews, stating that the machine left a stranger smell, didnt clean well... I was not totally convinced. :-( BIG MISTAKE!!! REVIEWS - BELIEVE THEM - Yes, the machine is not good AT ALL. The machine is not used too much, but after few month... the smell that was coming from it was incredible disgusting!!! It looks like something had died inside (let me make clear, I do rinse all dishes before I put them inside of the dish washer). Glasses started getting to be white. Plates I could feel there were something being left on them, they do not dry completely. After few months I got 2 guests in my home and the machine got to be used every day... OMG - then I really could see the damage - I finally decided to call for service after 10 month.CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 2. When I called the LG, they said they could only find me by my phone number, but they did not found me. I called the store I bought it from - Pacific inside Best Buy, they said ONLY by phone number, I gave them, but they would not find me over the phone. So I walked to the store with my phone bill on my hand. THEN THEY FOUND ME.All this took me another month to deal with. Now I am on the 11 month of my warranty, my time is running out (which Best Buy can find you by whatever info you give them)... Best Buy manager step in, apologize and ask the manager of Pacific to make an appointment for service call for me. Yes, they did, but today I was waiting from 8 a.m to 12 pm and nobody show up. I called the company, and they said, they dont service my area. So I said, What? So, after me spending all morning waiting, and not going to work, you dont come? They said they had called LG, and told them they dont service this area, and LG should had given my schedule to another company.I called LG again... LG said I apologize... someone else can go to your home on Wed. I said, I cant not go to work on Wed. They said, Well, Advance Tech Service, did not tell us that they did not service your area. We cannot do anything. So I said, Well, again, its me, the consumer who gets in the middle of Best Buy, Pacific, LG, and Advance Tech Service... No one wants to take responsibility for the mistake, for my pay day that I didnt make. The LG manager hang up on my face. Its rude, cruel and not right. The only thing I want is a machine that work properly and well, and someone responsible the mistake. LG and customer service - VERY BAD - DO not buy from them or from Pacific.Updated on 11/12/2015: OMG - the LG service man came to my home yesterday. After showing him my machine, how dirty my dishes were, stainless steel full of white soap, cups of coffee with all the coffee inside, I told about the terrible smell that would come out between washes, showed my cabinet that had some type of damaged on the side due to moisture... He couldnt find anything wrong with it. He said the only problem was You have to turn your faucet to hot water to a 120 degrees before turning the dish washer on. This is the problem with your machine... He even suggested that I would install a heater under my sink!?! I have lived in this house for 16 years, and I have had only one dishwasher before, which basically broke after enough use, and always worked perfect. What is he talking about?!?! Please help!!! Its under warranty and do not want to fix it.

I have an LG WT4801CW washer that was purchased from Home Depot just four months ago and the washer just quit during a wash cycle and with the lid locked, you cannot remove the clothes. Naturally, the LG tech gave me a reference number and a service center contact to call. The only problem is that its Friday evening and the service center will not be open until Monday. I would not recommend this product to anyone else. Based on other reviews, it seems that LG is aware of the problem as it is not a single situation issue. I will plan on replacing this unit after the one year warranty period is up.

I would give LG service negative stars, if I can. I purchased a dishwasher in April (model number: LDS4821ST), and the unit has worked pretty well. Recently and suddenly, the paint on one of the control buttons started to come off. I called LG and sent them pictures. I was told that it was a cosmetic problem, and they would not repair. I understand if this was a year or two from now, but four months after purchase and the paint is coming off? It is an obvious quality problem.I purchased a washer and a drier from LG about five years ago, and feel they were of much better quality than their current products. I bought a fridge as well in April, and that has problems already, as well. LG was totally dismissive; what is worse is that they refused to send me their response in writing! Im still paying for the appliance that already looks crappy!

Since purchasing the French door LG refrigerator in January 2014 we have had over 10 service calls. Anywhere from noises, freezer icing up, food freezing in the refrigerator. We have lost hundreds of dollars in food. This is a lemon. They keep telling me they cant replace because it can be repaired.... Really? Need to contact AGs office and file a complaint.
