I am terribly disappointed with this machine. First of all my clothes are dull and whites are GRAY. I have followed both the companys recommendations and the store where I purchased the machine’s advice. And they are still dull/gray. My other problem is that I have to constantly readjust the clothes... this last load took 12 times pulling the wet clothes out and rearranging them. This washing machine wont even do a tub clean without the uneven light code coming on. I have called LG numerous times and can barely understand the person that I am speaking to. The repair person has come out twice and once replaced the whole motor, but this has not solved the uneven/balance problem. Im terribly upset with the performance of this expensive machine and I dont know what to do about it. My advice is to not even think about purchasing this LG top loading washing machine.

We did our research before purchasing the rave reviewed on Consumer Report
We did our research before purchasing the rave reviewed on Consumer Report LG Tron washing machine. It was only 13 months until the first breakdown. I called in a repairman and also contacted LG regarding any warranty. What I could make out from the heavy dialect was that I was out of luck because I didnt buy the extended warranty package. Long story short, we had a repairman every year for the past six years costing $980. We had the same part replaced four times. Many, many, many calls into LG and the final offer was $157. The machine does not work and has been scraped. It has taken almost seven months for their settlement. I will never purchase or ever recommend an LG product ever again. Never is a long time!

I bought my washer and dryer a few years ago. About a month, maybe less from the first use my washer would drain out all over the floor. I couldnt figure out why. I read the troubleshooting manual and found it had a drain. So now every other day I drain it in a bucket so it doesnt leak ALL over my floor. I shouldnt have to drain my washer... it shouldnt leak. A few weeks after my washer started leaking my dryer stopped drying. I did all the vent cleaning and it didnt help. I found one setting that will dry my clothes. I have to put it on cotton/towels for 1 hr to dry a small load or a large load. That is the only setting that works. Now my dryer has been making a loud noise for months, my clothes have also been getting caught and all my tank tops straps get stretched and ripped. I just took a good look inside and the drum is not only cracked, a big piece is broken off. After reading all the trouble people have trying to get help from LG I will not bother. I am going to buy a new set NOT MADE BY LG... I can no longer deal with trying to get laundry done for a family of 5 with useless appliances.

Very happy with the washer and features but one. We dont feel that there is enough agitator action during the washing cycle. The different choices for washing loads is sufficient for all types of clothing. The reminder sounds during a washing cycle are very helpful when washing numerous loads of clothes.

Very expensive fridge, 6 months old, not working. Under one-year manufacturers warranty. LG says they are not going to honor the warranty because it was an open box item. Several calls later, they say will fix it once they get the proof of purchase. I email proof via the portal they email me. I get a confirmation. Nothing happens. I call back. Kim says that I have refused to send proof of purchase. We argue at length. Finally, she acknowledges that she has it and says she will have to refer me to the extended warranty person. I explain that it is NOT an extended warranty; it is the original warranty. She next tells me there are no authorized LG repair services near me so she cannot schedule an appointment. But I should call a company over an hour drive- and a toll bridge- away. She finally gives me the number of a closer place. I ask for some sort of authorization for the warranty. She tells me to just call them. The phone number is no good. I find the real number, call them, and they say LG has to authorize the repair. I call LG back and ask to speak to someone in the US. After stalling me for 10 minutes, she gives me a number to call. It is out of service.

Washing machine top load 5cub - Never seen such a terrible machine, better off dumping this and pulling the old one out of the dump, my clothes are not clean, it doesn’t get any dog hair or lint out of the clothes and have to wash 1-3 things at a time to get my nice clothes a little presentable. Remember this is the large capacity washing 3 things to become partially, not, clean!

Contacted LG service, tech came out found nothing. Took pictures of the finished wash with soap stains sent them to LG, another tech arrived and tried to solve the problem. No luck. Called again. Still no satisfaction. Finally after fourth tech I had a tech make a suggestion that seems to work. LG engineers in their infinite wisdom of trying to make a washing machine that is water efficient failed. The machine senses how much water based upon the weight of the items in the tub which basically doesnt wash squat. So by having the machine first wet the clothes and restarting the cycle the load is now heavier and the machine increases the amount of water in the tub to accommodate the heavier load. Now you have enough water to actually wash clothes! Seems a stupid way to get a machine to work, but it appears to solve the problem. Basically LG engineers need to learn how to actually test their product before sucking the consumer into buying junk!

Everything about this stove is fine except for the front burner grids. Some fancy designer who has never cooked on a stove in his life decided that it would LOOK GOOD if the front burner grates curved in to match the shape of the griddle. It leaves a big gap on the outer corner of the stove and I ran into the frying pan handle and the pan and all of its hot bacon grease contents went flying across my kitchen. I thought I was being more careful when I hit the handle of a pot of hot stew and it went flying across the kitchen. You must keep your children out of the kitchen when using these front burners. THIS IS A HUGE HAZARD! DO NOT BUY AN LG STOVE WITH GRIDDLE IN THE MIDDLE.

We purchased our LG machine from Home Depot online, September 2013. Although I do not like how the machine operates (cannot fill) (never enough water) (takes forever to wash a load), it stopped emptying April 26, 2015. We called for service which was to take place on April 29. It was determined the machine needed a new pump. It was ordered that day and was to be in in 3-5 business days. After waiting 10 days, we called Diamond Warranty service. We were told the part was ordered and there was nothing else they could do about it. We then called Home Depot and when they checked, they found the part had been backordered and then reordered and again should be in in 3-5 business days. It finally came in May 15. We set up the repair for May 19. I took off work because my husband was in court all day. At 7:30 on the 19th, they called and said the repairman was ill and rescheduled to Thursday, May 21. On May 21, they called and said the person would be out the rest of the week and could reschedule next week after Monday. I have now been without a washer for 25 days. Home Depot said they can do nothing but file a report against Diamond warranty and it will take one to two business days for a supervisor to respond. When I called LG they said they were very sorry and could only do the same. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they asked me to stay on the line. I held for 13 minutes and then hung up. Obviously neither LG nor Home Depot care. I want out of the extended warranty and they can take the washer and shove it because neither are any good. I have been to the laundromat 4-5 times and spent 11 to 15 dollars each time and still have no washer. I will never buy anything from LG or Home Depot again. Even if they do come out next Wednesday, it will have been 31 days without a washing machine. This is ridiculous!

We purchased an LG French door fridge 1.5 years ago. It has been getting stains on the front and as it is stainless steel. This was a surprise but the bigger issue is it suddenly stopped working. We called LG and they confirmed there is a faulty part and they will fix it; however it will take them 3-5 days. We just shopped and are a family of 5... 3 to 5 days is ridiculous. We are now scrambling to get food moved to our extra freezer and tiny kids drink fridge in the basement and have to wait for up to a week to have a known defective product fixed. LGs customer service is terrible and their product is not worth the over $2k we spent. Very disappointed!

LG Microwave Mod# LMC0975ST/01. This microwave came with a very user friendly owners manual, that I like. Unlike my other microwaves this one has a hexagon rotating ring with six wheels for the glass tray to sit on. Plus the glass tray has glass bump outs on the bottom that fit into a bump out shaft on the microwave bottom. No more dislocated dishes falling or sliding off. This microwave has performed better than I expected and I have enjoyed using it from day one. It has all the usual programs like, Smart diagnosis, Auto cook, Auto reheat, Popcorn, Defrost, Power level, Cook time, Stop/clear, Start/enter, interrupted cooking. There is a beautiful sleek smoke glass full front panel that will match any decor. I found the tip section on what to use, or not to use, when it comes to microwave-safe cookware very useful. There is also a Child Lock safety feature, and the sound signals are very audible on this microwave. There is a clock, Kitchen timer and a easy to use, slide touch timer. Dont forget to read the maintenance section. I found it very helpful. Limited warranty for Canada or the USA, is provided at the back and there is also a 1-800 number plus their website.

Tried to find one that was rated good in Consumer Affairs. I have had this pair for about 5 years. I looked at consumer feedback to find one that was rated well. They seem to do ok. I dont like the odor coming from the washer when you have the door closed too long, so I always leave it open when not in use. I look for capacity, energy efficiency, discounts, brand, quality. How fast they will come out and repair if it breaks down. I look for quality and price has to enter in on it. Most expensive is not always what I want. It may not have the features I want. I want and need large size that keeps working.

I wrote a review earlier about how the burner on the stove turns on if you brush up against the knobs. It does this without you even being aware and the next thing you know the ** house is burning down. This happened 3 different times and luckily I was still in the house when this happened. One time I was getting ready for work and had my dinner packed in a nylon bag and just before I left for work I heard something sizzling in the kitchen and the whole ** bag was on fire. Not happy about this ** at all. Anyway I left one of these reviews earlier asking for advice on what I could do about the situation since LG does not give a ** about these problems according to other reviews. But since my last review a couple of hours ago I went to church and then came home to cook dinner and I realized the only solution to my problem with this hazardous ** stove that cost about $1,700 if you pay full price is to remove the knobs and keep them off at all times and only use them while you are cooking. I now keep them in a bowl on top of the stove and my mind will be at ease especially when I’m not at home. In one review the ** dog turned the stove on while the people were away. LG gives not one ** about this problem. I hope this helps someone else who is at wits end. Good luck.

Buyer beware. We moved into our new house and discovered the existing french door LG was not cooling. (I see other reviews here mentioning the same cooling issue) It is three years old and no longer cooling. Trying to get this under-warranty refrigerator serviced has been a nightmare. Only registered techs can repair it if you can find someone in your area. It has been two months, three service people and two plus hours on the phone with LG and I have yet to have a service person even begin to work on it. If the next service person who comes (tech number 4 in 3 weeks) tells me that it really isnt this its really that and of course they dont have the part or the order was not written correctly or they just dont show up because they resigned and didnt tell anyone, I will pull my hair out. I advise anyone who is considering this refrigerator to find something else and save yourself the frustration (They should have minus stars on here).

Purchased an LG Door-within-a-door Refrigerator in July 2017. On September 6, 2020 the unit failed and we woke the next day to find all the food in the freezer was soft and the refrigerator was warm. Because of the holiday we had to wait 2 days to get a repair man to diagnose the problem... only to find out that no one in our area would service LG refrigerators due to consistent problems with warranty issues.3 calls to the LG 800 Customer Service center provided additional frustration due to the artificial intelligence support person taking information and then stating that it was a warranty issue and I would be handed off to a live agent... only to have the call dropped after 45 seconds of Muzak. I then went to the web site customer support and after providing all the information again to the service bot I was handed over to a live agent, and had to repeat all the information since he could not access the service bots data. After a 20 minutes of review and discussion it was determined it was probably a warranty issue and he authorized a repair ticket to be sent to an authorized repair tech, and after a 5 minute search reported that he could not find an available repair tech in my locality, but he would e-mail with the information. He did e-mail a name and contact information of a repair service and said I would get a call from them to set up the appointment, and if I didnt hear from them within 7 days to call LG back. The repair service called the next day September 9th and gave me a tentative appointment for September 17th to replace the compressor, assuming that LG sent the correct part on time. This was their 1st available appointment as they had that many LG compressors failing. Today September 15th I received a call stating that the compressor had not shipped yet and the anticipated receipt gave a new install date of October 2nd.... 25 days after the refrigerator failed! Never again will I consider an LG product.

When I purchased a new home, the LG dryer and washer came with it. I have had numerous problems with the dryer and after each repair, the dryer will work for a while. Slowly, the dryer begins not getting hot enough. I end up having to bring my clothes to a laundromat. I have spent at least $500.00 trying to repair this dryer. The service technicians have come back several times to repair it but each time they fix, something different and then it doesnt work after a few months.I have come to the conclusion that I need to buy a new dryer. This company needs to be held responsible for a defective dryer. Too many people have hand similar problems. Does anyone know if anything is being done?

I purchased my LG Refrigerator French Door LFXC24726S on 9/5/15 from Best Buy. This refrigerator is used seasonally from June through September each year and winterized. In July of 2017 or after about 6 months of actual usage Error FF (indicating a fan problem) appeared and the refrigerator ceased to cool. A local repairman (not LG) replaced two fans with no improvement. Since an LG repairman was unavailable on a timely basis I was forced to buy a replacement refrigerator since this is a seasonal rental home. I was able to get an authorized LG repairman in late August who with consultation with LG Tech Support diagnosed a probable Main Control Board issue since the board has been updated to correct a known internal fan icing issue. No repairs have been under warranty so after $300 for fan replacement and $500 for board replacement the refrigerator still produced Error FF and does not function.I would gladly join a class action suit because this is simply unacceptable. Foreign quality that is being sold to the American public by our big box stores. Furthermore, I have been unable to talk to a technical representative at LG myself getting bounced between the standard 800 customer service and the LG parts distributor. My authorized LG repair service indicates that LG is frequently difficult to deal with. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY LG!

We purchased an LG French door with freezer drawer in bottom. Have had problems with mold developing along the door gaskets as doors do not closed properly. Yesterday, there was an odor that smelled like burning plastic. It smelled like some electrical insulation was burning. The smell diminished, but this morning we discovered that the electrical cord was burning at the outlet. I called the service contract people and was told that the electric cord was not covered, that if they sent someone out it would cost $100.00+. Drove to the local HHGregg store where we purchased it originally and spoke with the manager, which was as helpful as talking to the service provider. In my opinion, both Gregg and the service provider are dishonest about their policy coverage. It appears that I am not alone with this problem.

Based on my research, LG seemed to have the highest rating on all of their appliances and they last longer. They seemed to be the best product out there. It has been less than a year since I bought my refrigerator but I have another LG refrigerator. We just purchased the house, and it has one in it. The ice maker is not a very big one though and it just has a little door insert ice maker. So, it does not produce enough ice for us. The refrigerator is not but two years old and it broke. It took about five weeks before it was repaired. Then, my washer took three weeks to be repaired. The washing machine and the refrigerator are two items that you need immediately in a household. I was so dissatisfied. The parts had to be ordered but it’s not so much LG but the people that they use to repair their stuff. It’s something that they need to look into because when they have crappy service, then the product gets a crappy reputation.

I purchased this refrigerator, model LFD22860ST, from Sears in Feb. 2007. Two weeks ago, I smelled an electrical type smell that woke me up in the middle of the night. The light bulbs had been burning while the doors were shut. The wiring was burnt. The light cover was burned and melted off and was laying on top of food. The top of the liner had begun to melt as well. I managed to get one bulb out. The other bulb burned out. One of the plastic tabs in the upper inside corners of the french doors (the part that is supposed to keep the door firmly closed) broke off. And the bracket deep inside that you screw the tab into has broken out as well. So, there is no way to anchor/screw a new tab in even if I wanted to. Its the door with the controls and water in it, so its a challenge to make sure it is not coming open by itself. The plastic piece that runs across the lower inside, that holds the crisper bins in, has broken in the middle. So, every time you pull/push the bins back in, you have to struggle with that as well. The ice maker overfills. And when you open the bottom freezer door, ice cubes come tumbling out all over the floor. With that, Im constantly turning the ice maker either on or off. Ive noticed that LG has discontinued this model. Was it discontinued because of these problems? I paid an awful lot of money for this designer, stainless steel, french door refrigerator. I really expected it to last more than 4 years!

We move a lot and this is our 4th LG Washer and Dryer set. However the new machines, neither fill properly with water or agitate like the older models and therefore clothes, towels, sheets do not come clean. We were told by LG to use the permanent press cycle as it uses the most water. In addition, select prewash, extra rinse and heavy duty (for amount of soil). All this take over 1.5 hours. It does use a bit more water and clothing is much cleaner but not 100%. All our whites have slowly greyed after using this washer for 6 months. I bought an LG washer at Best Buy in 07. After less than 2 years, the gears went in the front load. I purchased an extended warranty through Best Buy and they had a service tech come out and diagnose it. They said it would be too much to fix so they replaced it. I was downgraded but I was just happy to have my washer back. That was September 09. I bought another extended warranty through Best Buy. Now, another 2 years later, it has stopped spinning and wont drain. I contacted Best Buy and they told me that my warranty expired in September 2011. They told me to contact the manufacturer. So I called LG and they said that they will not do anything. I then emailed LG to tell them that I was unhappy and I believe if you pay over a thousand dollars for a washer it should last for more than two years. They then emailed me back and told me again that there was nothing they could do about it and thanks for choosing LG and be blessed. That made me furious . We have had our LG fridge for 3 1/2 years. We noticed that the refrigerator and freezer were not cooling and the ice makers were not working. We called LG. We have had three repairmen come out. The first one said the fridge could not be repaired and tried to get it condemned by LG. No luck there. The second repairman would not work on it and a week later the same repairman came and said LG insists that it be repaired. We are going on a month without a refrigerator. It needs a new compressor, evaporator, etc. etc. etc. LG technical support does not listen to the repairman even when he sends pictures of corrosion and black oily guck. Now a repair is scheduled for next week. We are so disappointed in LG, their product, and their customer service. They are supposed to send $150 for spoiled food but we haven’t seen the check. We are in our seventies and going up and down the basement stairs to the old 30 year old Gibson that is still working is hard on us. I loved this fridge for three years but refrigerators are too expensive to replace after only three years. If LG would compensate us for all the parts they want to put in and labor, we would be happy. We will be buying a Whirlpool and never anything LG again.

I bought my LG fridge in 2017 and my wife and I woke up to the dreaded compressor failure on it this Sat morning. After reading the reviews on here we were prepared for a horrible experience and to have to go without a fridge/freezer for months with two young kiddos!! I was ready to swear off LG just as other reviewers on here, but here is the abbreviated details of what happened. * Called customer service on Sat. (Was nice to them when I called). * Was told there was an open time slot for this Monday (today) for tech to take a look. * My expectation based on reviews here was tech would show up; explain it would be a month for the part to come in and uff.... * Tech showed up today. Michael who works for LG direct service. He not only had a compressor on him to replace the default one but had all the tools to get it done today. He was very professional and and explained to me contrary to other reviews on here that LG has upgraded and improved their software and the compressors so hopefully this will not happen again. Only took him about 90min to get it all fixed as he knew his stuff! * Fridge is fixed and running only two days after I first called customer service on a weekend at no cost on labor or parts. I don't write many reviews on anything but feel that this was deserving as I'm sure others had valid unpleasant experiences, but mine was a very positive one. If anyone else has this issues don't hit the panic button based on other's reviews. I don't know if it helped the cause but I was very calm and understanding when I called them to explain the problem as well. Products are going to have issues but I will judge a company based on how they deal with those problems and LG handled this very professional and I am very satisfied. Hopefully this repair holds up but if not if they deal with it the same way this one went they will retain me as a customer on future purchases. I do really like the fridge as well so 5 stars both for the fridge as well as the service.

Again lost everything that we had. We went the rest of the month living out of coolers. Today 7-17-15 I get a call from my wife that the fridge is not cooling again! 5 months! Really! I called LG directly and they have instructed me that they will cover the compressor as it is still under warranty but the labor is my responsibility. I will NEVER buy another single thing from LG. JUNK... JUNK... JUNK!

Machine purchased at Home Depot in 2011. Year 3 rust appeared where around the bleach dispenser. If you get the one year service plan be careful as when your machine hits 5 years, no more service! Do not buy! Stick with Kenmore!!! If I could travel all 50 states and warn people about this crappy machine I would... Horrible customer service. They also do not come out to repair right away, you have to do various checks on the washer for them to actually come out. They want to know whats wrong or what did you do? What was wrong was I tried to wash a load of laundry and the machine did not work! I will never again buy LG!

Ive had this fridge for over 3 years and it finally stopped cooling and making ice in April. LG has sent out 3 different technicians to repair it but none of them seems to know what is wrong with it. One tech said the issue was with the compressor, they ordered the part, when the tech came to install the new compressor he said there is nothing wrong with the compressor. It is the motherboard that went out. He returned to install the new motherboard and it is still not working. There is an issue with this particular fridge based on all the reviews Ive seen online. They need to do a recall on this fridge since it is a manufacturing issue and replace all those fridges that people are issues with. I am still waiting for my issue to be resolved.

About 5 years ago I spent thousands on an LG double door fridge/freezer and the washer/dryer combo. The fridge motor died 2 xmases ago and as they were shut, we lost $4-500 worth of food. Then there was an issue with the washer within 2 yrs., cant remember exactly what. Had that fixed. A few days ago I noticed one of the internal arms inside the washer had come off. I thought it was just a case of hubby screwing it back in. NO. The whole machine has to be taken apart to fix. The other arms are loose too. Its cheaper for us to buy a new washing machine. Its 5 yrs old. Im beyond furious. Never buy LG. Its JUNK.

After all repairs, I still have problems with the plastic inter parts breaking. Whats with LG product?

Purchased appliances 4 years ago and since have had several issues which are no longer covered by the 1 year warranty. Refrigerator: The rubber that goes around the refrigerator doors ripped several years after purchase. Gas Range LRG30357ST: plastic covering on the inserts of the burner knobs are faulty. You cannot purchase the plastic insert and each knob is $63.60. Initially, my husband kept switching knobs, and now three of them are broken. Reading the other postings, I realize I am not alone in my complaint. I contacted LG service department and was told no recalls. Sounds like this is a consistent issue which LG is choosing to ignore. I am very dissatisfied and this will be my last LG purchases!!!

I bought an LG door in a door refrigerator February 2015. Within a few months the compressor broke. I called LG and they refused to fix it. After numerous calls and getting the credit card company involved, who rescinded my payment, they replaced the compressor. One month later, the compressor broke again. Mind you this is happening in the middle of summer. First they couldnt get the part then they couldnt get a technician. After a couple of months and $500.00 worth of lost food (which was never paid for), they replaced the compressor. Now, suddenly, the ice maker is not working. They are refusing to pay for it and it will cost me $371.00 to replace. I called LG Customer Service and there were lies galore... Like, We will check on this and call you in an hour, we will call you at the end of business, we will call you in 48 hours... All not true. This refrigerator is poor quality at a high price. It should have been removed and replaced with the first compressor breakdown. Additionally, I also bought an LG Washing Machine. All worked well until the washboard bolts that hold this piece at the bottom of the machine gave way and during a very fast spin, spun out of control, hit the washer cover, which opened and out flew the piece. They did fix this after a lot of screaming and yelling. I would not trust their products. There are many others on the market that are manufactured with quality in mind.

Bought LG fridge December 20, 2013... ice maker broke 2015. Now the fridge went Friday, December 13, 2019. Was told by lg customer service to take everything out fridge, defrost for 8 hours, wait 24 to 48 hours so fridge can get cold. Never happened. Did it again second day. Same thing. Not working, error code keeps coming on. They send tech. Charge us $125. Have to get fridge serviced. Another $324... Asked if they can expedite the shipping of motor fan whatever it’s called. Tech Ariel looked at my husband and I like we had two heads. He never tried to contact LG about expediting the part. We told tech we have to think about it. Maybe we should just buy another fridge. Tech was ok and left... like he didn’t care that we living out of two coolers. He Just said ok and left.We called LG about expediting the part again. They were like, We will see. We’ve been out of a fridge since Friday December 13, 2019, it’s Thursday December 19, 2019, LG calls us to tell us we might not get our shipment in till Saturday and maybe get our fridge fix Saturday. All our food has spoiled. No milk. The Christmas ham we bought spoiled as well as all the other good we had in fridge. About $300 in food we bought for Christmas Eve dinner. Let’s put it this way. We bought our LG gas stove in 2009. The first problem we had with it was a week before the warranty was up, lucky for us. The problem was that the valves for turning on the stove were too easy to turn on. I had accidentally turned the stove on with my behind as I turned away from the stove and brushed against the knobs. I didnt think much of it at the time until our toddler was working his way around the kitchen and on two occasions slapped at the knobs and turned the gas on in both cases. We immediately called the LG service line and they had the valves replaced. What we noticed shortly after was the knobs themselves getting loose. When I checked them out, I noticed that the backer was cracking and crumbling away. I contacted company for replacement parts and was shocked at the cost of replacing the knobs, about 30% of the cost of the stove itself. I checked the net and found that this was a common problem with no solution listed. What I did to correct it was to take one of the remaining better knobs and go to a good appliance retailer. I pulled knobs of stoves in inventory and checked to see if the LG knob would fit. When I got one, I asked about ordering replacement knobs for that unit and found them to be of better quality and lower replacement cost. I picked up a set of 5 for under a $100 and I am sure I could have gotten a better deal if I wasnt in such a hurry to get a set that fit. I will never by an LG again and have told everyone I work with my LG horror story. Also, my LG french door fridge has had a drawer bracket crack and my LG dishwasher is experiencing problems as well. They were all bought at the same time.

We had our 7 year old Lg fridge die on us. We were offered a rebate if we bought another LG fridge which we accepted. The new fridge did not work but LG would not accept this for several weeks so we were without full use of our new product. After much hassle we finally received a new fridge in Aug. 2014. We have not received the rebate and are told each time that we call (speaking to a service rep in Panama) that the check is in the mail and we will have it in a few days. This is going on for the last 4 to 5 weeks. Our original rep, Mohinee **, quit taking our calls and will not respond to emails from us. We asked if we could speak to someone in Canada to see if our check has actually been mailed and were refused access to a Canadian rep. We then called information for LG electronics Canada and were given the number 416 743 7575. We have made 3 calls and no one answers at that number. LG certainly has our number and our money. I would not buy another LG product if I was paid to. Customer service is terrible and their products just dont last and are faulty at the very beginning.

My dishwasher is not heavily used (6x/week) and within 18 months of owning it the stainless finish on the control panel (around the POWER) button started to wear off. I was told this was outside the warranty period and could pay to replace the door (for essentially 1/4 of the price I paid for the dishwasher). The dishwasher has been fine, not spectacular (the dishes are often still wet after drying overnight, I have tried every combination of drying cycles to improve this). Overall very disappointed in the quality of the dishwasher, wont be buying an LG product again.

Bought a new white side by side LG refrigerator about 1 1/2 years ago from a local big box retailer. The plastic trim pieces around the electronic controls/water dispenser/ice dispenser have turned yellow. The refrigerator is bright white and the large bezel and drain plate is now a disgusting yellow. I first tried to resolve the matter with an online chat representative who was absolutely clueless. She couldnt even figure out what parts they were on her schematic. She finally gave up and had me complete an online upload form with pictures that I had to take. She said she would call me back after I uploaded the form. I uploaded the form with pictures and after two days no response. So I did another online chat with another agent. I gave her my case number and all she said is Sorry its out of warranty. She gave me the phone number of their parts distributor for the Eastern USA and the girl who answered the phone instantly put me on hold and never came back. This is ridiculous! The trim pieces are about $180.00. So, dont ever buy a white LG refrigerator and if you would like customer assistance on their product - Dont buy an LG Refrigerator.

I bought a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator (LG compressor) in November 2015. It had a ten year warranty on the compressor. In November of this year (2019), the refrigerator stopped cooling suddenly. I lost over $200 in frozen/refrigerated items. It cost me $99 to just have a repairman show up and then another $260 to have diagnostics run to determine the failure mode. It was a bad compressor. Took another week to get parts (although repairman had a truck full of new compressors since he replaces over 30 a month) and then another couple days to get the repairman back out to fix. Total bill to have fixed was over $500. Repairman told me he has had three newly replaced compressors fail within 48 hours just this month. LG has a known design defect in the compressor system that they refuse to acknowledge or fix and continues to sell this faulty product. Do not buy an LG refrigerator.

No good. We purchased cleaning solvents from the store and ran cleaning cycles, good for one wash. Then the stink is back. The company says to leave the door open and wipe the inside rubber gasket dry after each use. Leaving the door open is not really an option and it blocks the hallway. We purchased a top-loading direct drive LG washing machine at Best Buy a few years ago. From the beginning it has not been a good experience. The steam function never works and it crashes 1/2 way through the cycle EVERY time... and we then have to empty the machine and start over again. Add to this that the regular cycle does not fill with anything close to enough water, and the result is consistently dirty clothes and/or soap that dries inside the machine. And we cant even think about a load larger than about 6 or 7 large towels... as it overloads and tilts so we then have to drain the water and remove 1/2 of the load. If we had known how terrible this machine was going to be, we would have bought ANYTHING else. Do yourself a favor and avoid LG washing machines! We wrote to the company 2 times over the last few years and our letters are ignored. They do not seem to care about their customers.

Bought LG model LFXS30726S on December 2014 (a $3000 fridge). The compressor failed while on vacation on August 2017. Returned home and witnessed food all ruin, house smelled like some animal died inside. Late return home from vacay so had to stay up late to clear out the fridge fast and doubled bags about 8 trash bags. Family not sleep well that night due to the bad smell that permeated the entire house.Next day, got a local serviceman and he said the compressor died and its a common issue for LG and informed me the compressor has 10 yrs warranty. So I contacted LG. Horrible experience (life was not good!). First call I was given three local authorized LG repair services. First one no one answered the phone. Second and third, we dont do warranty jobs?? Second call to LG, received fresh three new numbers and got the same results?? My furious third call back to LG, LG assigned the repair to LGs own technician and said first availability will be 4 days out.Next morning after vacay, we took the fridge apart and removed the heavy houses door in order to get the LG outside to clean and remove the smell. The next several days we tediously cleaned with vinegar and baking soda several times a day. LG technician came 4 days later and confirmed the compressor is bad and its on order and will be expedited to the house the next day. The next day it took 1.5 hr to replace the compressor and the labor charge was $460 (with tax).I contacted LG executive services and informed them my experience. They replied via email saying my product is out of warranty yada yada and zero compensations or apologies for poor quality product. This was the second major issue with this fridge. 5 months after we bought it, the controller was bad (defrost timer was bad) causing the freezer to ice up and the fan kept hitting ice LOUD bangs. It took LGs technician FOUR trips/appointments to the house and TWO technicians to determine it was the defrost timer. Had to take off work to meet technicians. They replace the controller board to fix this issue. We bought a mini 3.3 cu ft. fridge (NOT LG) to get us by while the LG was out. I wont recommend LG fridge to anyone and wont buy another LG fridge.

We ALWAYS bought SEARS products, so when the time came to purchase a new refrigerator, we went to our local SEARS store. We bought one with a bottom freezer (LG). Its beautiful, BUT started malfunctioning less than 1 year later (it wouldnt stay cold). After several calls (and hours of being on HOLD) to their customer service department, and answering the same questions over and over, I finally reached a sympathetic rep who actually listened and realized that my fridge was STILL under the manufacturers warranty, as well as the purchased extended warranty. She ordered a replacement refrigerator, and we got it about 10 days later. Two years after receiving the 2nd fridge, that one started malfunctioning! We opted to get the home warranty, but still had to pay around $600 out of pocket. Now, another two year later... here we go AGAIN!!! Same fridge, same issue. But, due to the pandemic, we tried to lower our expenses, and recently cancelled the home warranty. So, again on the phone with SEARS trying to see if there was anything that could be done (like maybe there was a recall on this model). Now some may say Bad luck, but I say CHEAP QUALITY... I purchased an LG microwave for nearly $250.00 and its been replaced twice by Home Depot, making this the third unit to electrically fail with smoke coming from its internals after only a 45 second operating cycle. LG was contacted and initially stated that I would be responsible for taking the faulty unit to their authorized repair center in Chino Hills, Ca. - about 15 or 20 miles from my home - and pay for the repair.I informed them that I had taken the liberty of visiting this website and discovered that there appears to be some sort of electrical defect in their microwave considering the number of failures, the description of the failures and the short period of time between its purchase and the apparent electrical collapse of their product. In my experience, an item with a record this poor should be on some sort of safety recall list before it causes an injury or fire, but Ive not been advised of any such recall by either of the two customer service personnel I contacted during the course of our conversations on August 21, 2015.After being placed on hold for an eternity, and refusing to be blown off with what I can only describe as double speak, I informed the initial customer service person and the subsequent one that here in California there are regulations in place to protect consumers against abuses by big corporations with a bait and switch approach to consumer sales. According to this customer service contact, LG boasts their Magnetron has a 10 year warranty but to capitalize on this claim, the consumer must first pay for the labor involved which usually is a large portion of the initial cost of the unit!I have opened a claim or case # of ** with the assisting personnel who now report that there will be either a refund/credit or replacement within 6-8 weeks but they could not elaborate on which. In the interim, Im left without a microwave for the duration. If LG does the right thing, Ill report it, if not Ill provide that information as well.

Purchased an LG washing machine model #wt4870cw 3 yrs ago and this is the 2nd service call in that span with the same problem. UE (unbalanced load) plus the inside top has rust around the fabric softener cup. Same problem we had 1 1/2 yrs ago!! It will cost us $285 for labor not including parts!! Terrible product and LG wont stand behind its product. Terrible customer service (from the Philippines)!! Will never buy another LG product again, not a TV, dishwasher, heck, not even a toaster!! Terrible product and company.

My LG dishwasher has a stainless steel finish that cleans and shines quite nicely. Soap dispenser holds tablet or liquid and dissolves no problems. All dishes are clean and spot free with the dry mode. Plenty of room for all dishes and pots and pans. Silverware goes on top. Operation is very quiet. No complaints, and would definitely buy again.

I bought this LG dishwasher 2 years ago. The dishwasher never worked well. Dishes were not clean, racks collapsed, the cycles it offered were useless. The Smart Diagnosis does not function. The app is not yet set up. Within the first year the dishwasher completely broke down and I had to replace the motor. I asked for a new dishwasher but the company refused. I figured it was a lemon. Now a little past the second year the dishwasher is not draining. I took the dishwasher out of the space to make sure that the pipe was not kinked. I found a tissue stuffed in a spot where a screw should have been. The repair man probably put it there to prevent something from jiggling. How do I know he repaired it properly? I spoke with customer service in the Philippines. The girl was cordial but explained that to fix the dishwasher it was going to cost me $400. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They transferred me to a girl in Alabama who was less than helpful. She was rude. She just talked and talked about how I should have bought an extended warranty and did not let me get a word in. Finally she ended up hanging up on me. It seems like highway robbery that I pay 899 for a dishwasher that breaks in the first year, then little into the second year they want me to pay another 400. I cannot afford to pay 440 dollars a year to have a dishwasher. I had a Maytag before this that lasted 20 years and I paid about $350 for it.

Stay away from LG fridges. I have one that the ice maker has NEVER worked. Cant get repairman out because LG do not pay their repairmen. JC Penney keep blaming it on LG and LG blames Penney. Meanwhile I am still paying on a fridge that is still under warranty with extended warranty, that I cant seem to get nothing done! BUT THE RUNAROUND! Still not through, that what small claims court and Fox 4 News is for!!! It just a shame to have to go to this extreme. Whatever happened to, if youre not pleased just simply return and get a full refund! Also, according to their reviews, I am not the only one unhappy!!!

In 2013 I purchased a set of LG large capacity washer and dryer. I was excited when I got my new machines. At first I was amazed, as it did not seem my clothes had been washed so clean and dried so efficiently in years, compared to my old washer and dryer. After a few months, it seemed the washer would stop itself more and more often, with a UE flashing on the screen and required opening the machine and rearrange heavy wet clothing until it would spin through. About that time I received a notice of a recall that affected my machine. I called the recall hotline number and a technician was sent to replace the faulty parts. This solved the problem with balance and wash cycle, but left the washer with few choices for temperature. You have the choice of warm/warm, regardless of the setting other than tap cold. Cold/cold runs warm/warm. At least the machine was operating and cleaning the clothes. I was told it may happen again and that, if it did, to keep the number for the recall hotline. I have always made a special point of taking large blankets or anything other than regular clothing or bedding/towels, to a public laundry.Recently, once again, the machine has been throwing the clothing to the side and refusing to complete the load without the struggle of reaching in and rearranging the load, reading unbalanced several times before the load would finish. The last load I did was two regular bed sheets and a few wash clothes and it stopped twice before completed the cycle.I called the recall hotline from my paperwork and a tech was sent to our home, today. I was at work, so my husband greeted the repair technician. After trying the machine on its cycle, running on empty, he called me at work to tell me it tested normal. I assured him it was far from normal. The technician proceeded to tell me it is very important with this delicate machine, to only wash light loads of the same clothing, such as sheets only, towels only, light cotton with like size and fabric and jeans or heavier clothing, with only a few at a time and no other clothing. He stated he wanted to run a load of laundry to test the machine. My husband started putting clothes into the washer when the technician stopped him and told him to select only a few items of like size and fabric. The technician ran the load and called to inform me the machine had no problems and he was closing the ticket on the repair. I told the repairman to go home and ask his wife if she would be satisfied to do her laundry under the specifications he was informing me, this delicate machine (large capacity, supposed high power) requires. All of this to say, LG does not stand behind their product, the parts are sub quality and the massive recall on this machine only served to put a band-aid on a major problem. The machines should have been replaced and the customer should have been satisfied, instead of spending $850 on a machine that has lasted a total of 3 years. Do not buy LG, unless you have money to burn.

Bought this in 2014. Had never washed worth a darn. I paid over $900 on this piece of junk. The fact that I have to start out on the bulky setting till it fills up, then turn it off, restarting it on power cleanse to get the clothes to move around makes it not so energy efficient! If not used in this manner, the lack of water causes the clothing to rub against each other causing pilling of the material. Doesnt clean properly either. You have to pre treat, and wash 4 times to get any kind of stain out. Im buying a new machine this year and it wont be an LG. What a waste of hard earned money! Im so frustrated!

The refrigerator was ordered at Home Depot. I was contacted by LG directly that the product was on backorder and that they would not meet the delivery time frame. Two weeks later they called again to state that the specific refrigerator that I ordered was not available and discontinued. The offered a different refrigerator that did not meet the size specifications that were most important to me. When I stated the three specs that were mandatory to me - they basically said - This is what we can offer and thats it. They did not offer any other options. POOR customer service and even though they upgraded with one option that I did NOT want (wi-fi) the size is smaller, the product is disappointing. The refrigerator will either freeze produce or it turns to rubber. It does not maintain the quality of refrigerated products. I will not order another LG product as a result. The filter also only lasts 4 months - before having to be replaced. Freezer items get frostburn and ruins the quality of the product.

I purchased LG washing machine model #WT5101HW on 6-26-2011. In December, I realized that the hot/cold cycle was not hot. The water was really not even warm. I called LG and after speaking to numerous people, they agreed to send a tech out. On December 20, 2011, the tech arrived only to inform me that it was an ongoing problem and there was nothing he could do. It was the way LG designed the machine. On the hot cycle, it adds both hot and cold water so that is why it is not hot. I was furious! I called LG and they informed me that if I wanted to wash my clothes in hot water to use the sanitary cycle which is a 3 hour cycle or the bright whites cycle. My washing machine has an internal heater that is supposed to heat the water to 122 degrees on bright whites and 158 on sanitary. On my bright whites, it is only 90 degrees and not sure what it is on sanitary. LG is advertising that they have a hot cycle when in fact it is not hot and it makes no sense to add cold water to perfectly good hot water and then heat it back up! How is this energy efficient? I called LG again today and now I am being informed that the heater only works on sanitary and if I want hotter water on my cycles, I need to turn up my hot water heater. On page 7 on the instruction manual, it clearly says, the heater increases water temperature and provides better cleaning for sanitary and bright whites.” So, even LG is admitting hotter water cleans better! This machine is a complete joke. LG should not be able to advertise that this machine has a hot cycle when it fact it does not.

We bought a home that had a completely remodeled kitchen with a brand new LG LRFD25850ST refrigerator (French door style, with freezer below). It is a beautiful LOOKING appliance. The ice maker works. Thats the only nice thing I can say about it. When you open the doors, in just a few seconds it starts beeping the open door alarm. This is not a defect. It is designed that way. The problem is that the time before the alarm goes off is not settable, and it comes on so soon that you cannot possibly put groceries away before if relentlessly goes off. In fact, its darn hard to even get things OUT of the fridge without it going off.Everything plastic on the inside of this fridge is made of a cheap, brittle grade of plastic. The produce bin doors and wide lower drawer have all cracked and broken multiple times in multiple places. The front support plastic edge on the lower shelf cracked in several places and started to sag. Some PVC plastic pipe cement and my own supplies of plastic to reinforce it have kept it in shape, but most people will not be able to make repairs like this and they will end up with the cover doors drawers all broken and coming apart. One day it just started accumulating a big thick sheet of ice in the bottom of the freezer. After months of just chipping it out of there in big chunks before it started to melt at the front edge and run water all over the floor (which it did multiple times), we went away for a week, so we took out all the food and shut the thing off. After 5 days of being off and completely dethawing, it stopped creating that ice sheet. I assume the defrost draining tube was blocked somewhere.Temperature distribution throughout the fridge is very unpredictable. Sometimes the ice cream is soft, sometimes hard as a rock, sometimes the milk is too warm while other things in the fridge annoyingly freeze hard as a rock, or vice versa. The light bulb compartment cracks and deforms. The cover is very hard to get off, and the bulbs are very hard to unscrew. I dont know how a simple thing like a light socket can be made poorly, but these are. And cover has melted and deformed from the bulb heat (and we are not using incorrect lamps. They are 15w small appliance bulbs).

The LG microwave (MW MC7688) was purchased by me on 30.11.2008. On 21.08.2012, we went for AMC, which is from 21.08.2012 to 20.08.2013. Some of the parts were not functioning so we lodged the following complaints: RNA ** dated 19.01.2013, RNA ** dated 23.01.2013, and RNA ** dated 31.01.2013. The service technician visited and verified the oven. He confirmed that one part is to be replaced, but that part is not available as the company has stopped manufacturing that model. Subsequently, Mr. ** called on 09.02.2013, and confirmed that the model is out of stock, and that the company will pay back 15% of the purchase cost. Then we spoke to Mr. Manish ** on **. He conveyed point blank and asked us to do whatever we want, but we will get only 15% of the purchase price. The purchase price was Rs. 8,499/- and 15% comes to Rs.1,275/-; whereas, we have already paid Rs. 815/- for the AMC cost.Is it our problem that the company has stopped production? If that is the case, then why was AMC taken? We need the part to be replaced or a replacement of a new oven.

We also bought the top load model 4801 and it was defective out of the box. It shredded (snagged) several items of clothing (shirts, sheets, etc.). LG said they were only obligated to repair it, meaning take it apart and replace the drum assembly, etc. I said that wasnt acceptable. The service tech, even though he saw and documented the damaged items, could not find a specific problem with the unit. Because of that, they refused to pay for any damages their machine caused, instead stating there is nothing wrong with the machine. I argued until I was blue in the face. They would not budge. They would not let me talk to someone higher up. They gave me bogus phone numbers and e-mail addresses of people to whom I could escalate my complaint (the e-mails were returned as undeliverable and the phone numbers were not valid). Thank goodness Home Depot gave us a replacement machine against the wishes of LG. Pray that you never need service for any LG product or you will regret it from the start. I like to refer to them as the axe murderers of customer service, the worst I have ever experienced.

I purchased a double door with bottom freezer, an LG refrigerator model LFD22860. One year after purchase, the cover on the electronic control started to melt (was covered under warranty). Two years later, the right side door seal ripped, and I called the warranty service line. I was told it’s the first time they hear of this problem, and that my warranty was over anyway. I had it fixed by a local repair company at $189.71 for a seal. Immediately within 24 hours, the door was rubbing with other side and started to get damaged. I called the service company to verify if it’s an alignment issue, but the doors are fixed on dowel pins and cannot be aligned! The only thing we could do is to put Vaseline to the doors often (RIDICULOUS). Anyway, even with Vaseline both sides, it ripped within a few months (I wasn’t about to pay $400 for seals!). It doesnt end here. Upon closer inspection, we noticed approximately ten cracks everywhere inside the fridge. This absolutely DISGUSTED me. We paid $2200 for this pile of junk, thinking it would last us for some time. Im fed up of big name companies getting away with cheap products sold in todays market. All they could tell me was that my warranty was over and that they cant do anything about it. Since then, I have never bought another product from them, and never will including my family & friends.

We purchased this microwave in 2018, along with the matching refrigerator, dishwasher, and double oven. Spent a small fortune to buy them for our new kitchen. Our kitchen remodel was delayed so the microwave wasn’t opened until just recently. It was opened and installed professionally. During its first use I could hear what sounded like a fan, come to a grinding halt. We called LG and were told that because it’s out of warranty we would have to take it to an authorized repair shop (but would most likely have to pay for the repair ourselves). The nearest shop is about an hour away, and that’s after we take it down from the wall/cabinets. Then we are expected to reinstall it. I’m beyond overwhelmed and deeply disappointed.

It didnt cost as much as other refrigerators with similar features and styles. Also the place we bought the fridge at had a lot more LG type of refrigerators than any other brand of refrigerators. The features I liked the most about the LG refrigerator was probably that it had an ice maker and water spout built into it with options on how you want your ice (crushed or cubed). Our refrigerator went out about 3 weeks ago. We had one repair technician come out who said the compressor and motherboard needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and 4 days later came to do the repair. Upon disconnecting the compressor, he said there was something else wrong with the refrigerator as there was no Freon in the system. He indicated that either the evaporator was bad or there was a leak in the line. He said there should have been Freon in the system when he disconnected the compressor, but there was none. He indicated we needed to contact LG to have them send out one of their service technicians to complete the repair. That is when all the problems arose. LG issued a repair order and a new technician called us. When he learned that another technician had opened the refrigerator to change the compressor, he said he would not touch the refrigerator. We call LG back and requested the work order be directed back to the original technician at our request, but to our dismay, the technician said he did not have the equipment to do the repair. Since then we have been trying to get in touch with LGs executive services and they saying they will call us back if we get disconnected. Sure enough, when they attempt to connect us to their Executive Service group (about 2 or 3 times), we get disconnected and have not received a call back.We contacted several companies that LG has referred us to call and found one that said they would come out and evaluate the refrigerator, but we needed to get a work order from LG assigned specifically to them for them to come out and work on the refrigerator. We are still waiting on LG for that work order. What else can we do?

Updated on 03/25/2021: After my review LG replied, that I can call LG and they gave me an authorization number. They said that LG will contact me within 7-10 business days or I can call them. I called them today, since nobody contacted me. I was told that my claim was rejected because there was not enough documentation from the technician and the technician did not state that the dishwasher is not reparable! I said that he did not say that. I was standing next to him when he called LG and was told that there was a recall on the dishwasher and he received TCC number which I also wrote down. (And I was told later by LG that they cannot find that number in their system) This is a technician from LG. This is not mine technician. I do not really know or care what paperwork they need to exchange. I am trying to have working dishwasher for 6 months now! I do not know why LG is not standing behind their product and cannot resolve this problem in 6 month. I have ordered this in June 2020. I do not care if the dishwasher is repaired, replaced, but I just need to have functional dishwasher.Original Review: In June 2020 I have ordered LG dishwasher from Home Depot for one of rental units I manage. Because of shortage of appliances it came 2 months later. This is one of many dishwashers I bought, but all others were Samsung. When tenant moved in this unit, they called me that there is a rubbery smell and smoke coming from the dishwasher after about 30 min of washing. I called LG, LG said the tenant has to call because they will take them through different steps. Tenant was told that they have to keep running it that it is normal that the dishwasher is new. But smell did not go away. Technician came in, but said that he cannot stay for the whole cycle and they should keep running it. Then I called LG and was told that they will call another technician and got another appointment. (4 months has passed already.) My tenant moved out because they could not use the dishwasher. Another technician came and spent a lot of time examining the dishwasher then he called LG and found out there was a recall on this dishwasher and gave me TCC number which LG gave him. I was told I will just call LG and give them the number and they will exchange the dishwasher. I called LG that I am calling because there was a recall on the dishwasher and gave them the TCC number. LG told me that they do not have the number in their system and they will call the repair company (which LG sent) and they will call me back. Nobody called me nor they called the repair company! I tried the next day and was told that the recall department will call me back... Again nobody called me. It has been 5 months since I have reported problem for the first time. Nobody can still wash dishes and my apartment is vacant since I cannot place new tenant in till I have dishwasher. LG is a nightmare to deal with. I do not understand how they can stay in business. I will never buy any LG product because of the customer service they provide. There is nobody who takes ownership and resolves an issue. My tenant was so upset they wrote to VP of LG. Tenant is in the process of building a home and they make sure none of their new appliances are LG.

I received an LG front load washer at 12 noon today. I did the first load which spewed soapy water on the floor. I did subsequent small loads with no overflow. The dispensers retain clear water after cycle completed. I contacted LG to question why the water remains in the dispensers and why the overflow. I was informed that I used too much soap which caused the overflow. This is my second LG, and I am no dummy. I know how to fill the soap dispenser to the normal or max levels using HE products. The response from LG is We only recommend 2 tbs for a big load. I measured the amount of liquid to fill to the normal mark which is 5 tbs and to the max level which is 7 tbs.I explained this to the LG rep and the response was, We have already sent this numerous times to the designers. WHAT??? They know about the problem, continue to produce the product using the same improper guides in the manual and intuitively, the consumer follows the dispenser level marks and provide no ALERT to consumer!!! Of course, I still needed to know about the clear water remaining in the dispensers. That is normal. The dispenser dispenses by overfilling the drawer, that is shy there is water remaining at the end. Of course! We all want stagnated water to sit in the drawer possibly turning moldy and smelly to be dispensed into the next load of wash! I am absolutely incredulous! How can a manufacturer possibly continue to produce and sell such a subpar product? I was pleased with my last LG that performed well for 6 years and recently started to overflow and would not pump the water adequately out of the washer. Model number LFC23760ST. My wife and I purchased this refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer at Best Buy at the recommendation of the sales person. It seemed to be a good refrigerator until we used the ice maker. The ice maker is designed very poorly. As the ice cubes begin to build up in the container the ice begins to fall out of the back and underneath the freezer drawer and causes the drawer to get stuck. This happens on a constant basis whenever the container gets close to being two thirds full. Another downfall of the refrigerator is the crisper shelf and Im sure that all the other glass shelves have similar problems. From what I am able to determine the shelves are made of tempered glass. This is the first time I have taken the shelf out to clean. I did not take the other shelves out to clean, just the crisper shelf as Ive always cleaned them in place. I first left the glass shelf sit for about 15 minutes while I cleaned out the inside of the refrigerator and other parts. I then began to wash the glass shelf with lukewarm soapy water, and then I rinsed it off and let it stand for about seven minutes. There was still some water on the glass so I decided to wipe it with a clean cotton hand tower. While drying the shelf the action from slowly and softly wiping the shelf of remaining water it made squeaking sound when a glass window is being wiped clean. Then all of the sudden the glass shelf exploded on the third or fourth squeak. I mean, the glass shelf literally exploded and shattered. It did not shatter in place as a person would assume. I had glass all over the sink, counter top, all the way onto the top of the range, onto the window sill and all over the floor in all directions with the glass shards being about five feet away. I even had shards hit me on my body, arms and face, but luckily none got in my eyes. As a handy man who cleans many apartment units and replaced appliances, Ive cleaned over a hundred of refrigerator glass shelves and never once had this ever happened. Guess I should have taken pictures and send it to LG. Now I have to replace it and its over $50 but Im going to call LG and see what they have to say. If you have ever seen an opera singer singing and breaking a glass, this was similar except on a larger scale.

Our LG refrigerator has been going strong for over 10 years. Since our kitchen is small, we were limited in the size of refrigerator that we could purchase. LG fits in the kitchen perfectly and for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, we are able to fit all of items that we need in it. One feature that we love to this day is its ability to produce cubed or crushed ice. It is roomy and easy to clean. Another feature is that fingerprints do not show on the front exterior, which is great when you have little kids.

I have had my LG washer and dryer almost a year. It has NEVER gotten my clothes clean, even after repeated pre-treating and soaking. The water doesnt even cover the load of clothes and, besides the streaks of soil and dirty spots, they even have DRY spots on them. How can this be called clean? Even my underwear doesnt come clean and they are delicate but I wash them on hot and regular wash rather than delicate! I have given up and am ready to pitch them even though I have over $1800 invested in them! What can a consumer do when the company wont stand behind their product? I will absolutely NEVER buy anything with an LG name on it again!

LG WM3670HWA - Bought a new washer ($650) and installed in May 2017. Recently experienced squeaking noises during the spin cycle. Called LG. They sent out a technician to look at the machine. LG charged me $125 for the service call. The tech said that the rear bearing was defective. The cost to fix was estimated to be $500. However, the technician told me that LG discontinued the parts needed to fix the washer, so he couldnt fix it even if he wanted to. So I spent $650 on a washer and another $125 on a service call, to find out that a 14 month old washer is junk and cannot be repaired.I called LG to try and resolve the issue. They refused to do anything AT ALL. I wasnt asking for a new washer or anything like that. I requested that they at least waive the $125 service call, since the washer couldnt be fixed. They refused to waive the service fee and gave me no concession on anything. It was really great at the end of the call to hear, Have a wonderful day! Seriously!!?? I never write reviews, but had to vent on this one. My bad for not buying an extended warranty, but theyre bad for not even stocking parts to fix their lousy products. I will never buy an LG product again. I feel completely ripped off.

So we bought a $2000 LB refrigerator stainless steel, French doors, water in the door, and freeze drawer. This fridge has been used literally for 2 yrs at most. Went to plug the fridge in and nothing comes on. Google this issue and its a known issue, need to spend $300.00 on the main board. What??? Plus labor... Poor quality. Called customer service and asked for some help not free but some help and was told to pound sand!!! Oh wonder why they have crappy reviews!!!
