I have tried several things to get my dishes clean in my LG dishwashers but they rarely come out acceptable. In most cases, whats left wipes off with a dry cloth. I expect a dishwasher to clean the dishes spotless without my needing to clean them first. I will never buy another LG Dishwasher.

I love this dryer! I like the flexibility of entering in the temp and length of cycle or just pick a cycle pre-set. But it takes a while to see which pre-set cycle will work. For instance, drying sheets on normal cycle isnt going to work. I select bulky and it gets the job done. We have had this machine for about three years now and have had no problems at all.

3 yr old Kenmore (LG manufactured) refrigerator went out at Thanksgiving. Sears was very slow to respond. Tech came out and immediately said it was compressor without even touching the fridge. He said they were replacing them left and right. Part was ordered and it took two weeks to get it. He came back out and it was either the wrong part or it wasn’t a functioning compressor. Fast forward to now and we received the compressor on Tuesday and they are telling us it will be next week before anyone will come out to make repair. It has been 6 weeks now without a refrigerator. We went out and bought a 4 cubic foot fridge that gets us by - barely. Don’t know if it will work when they come back again next week but hopeful. Sick of LG and Sears!

Looks beautiful stainless steel, french door, lighting etc... but has never produced 1 ice cube despite 12 visits from repairmen (to date). Losing count but so far 4 new icemakers, valves and whatever else has been replaced. We have reworked our schedule and lives to letting repairmen into our house to fix the icemaker on this new refrigerator only to NEVER have it work. LG has been kind during phone calls but I would rather them be rude and FIX it! It has a SMART DIAGNOSIS on the inside of the door that allows me to hold my phone to for them to diagnose, but that didnt work when I talked to them either. We have been buying bagged ice and ice trays for and expensive new refrig. for 2 1/2 months now. When is enough enough? I woke up at 1 AM thinking about this most frustrating and horrible product I have ever owned (& our family owned a Yugo dealership at one time) - if that tells you the level of frustration this has caused.

Purchased unit new approx. 15 months ago; one of the benefits of this unit was the high-speed tub helping to dry clothes-- reducing dryer loads. While in use with only a queen-sized mattress pad the tub broke away from drive unit during spin cycle and sent the unit literally bouncing-off the 2 nearest walls (destroying drywall). The unit top and rear panels were separated from the body, and the body walls were expanded (rounded outward). The unit wouldnt fit through door frame. This could present potential safety issue!!! Beware!!!

After 6 years of owning the dryer and doing no more than 4 loads a week - I live alone, I noticed a loud thumping coming from my LG dryer. It got progressively louder so I called a repair man. The drum was broken at the seam. It cost me $400 to replace the drum. $400! He said it was a fluke and that this didnt happen normally. But I just read online that others have had the very same problem. LG better pull it together. Now the dryer isnt drying the towels completely, I was researching the problem, could be my lint vent which is not a dryer issue but I came across these complaints and I was really ticked off. I feel burned. I paid top dollar for this dryer and I figured it was a top brand. Buyer beware is all I have to say.

I bought a whole house full of LG appliances after a house fire in 2010. None of my items went into use until June of 2011. In the summer of 2017 my ice maker in my lfx31925st stopped working and I did a troubleshoot online and tried everything it showed. I contacted LG and was told that they sell products with disposable parts on them and that in this time span it is not uncommon for this item to need repair. I was shocked that my $2800 fridge would be considered by the company to basically be made of disposable parts. This was just the start of my troubles. About two months after this my freezer fan became very loud and I noticed my frost free freezer had a ton of ice in the back. I defrosted this but it kept happening and soon my freezer had stopped working and I had soup for ice cream and much unthawed meat. The fridge part still works somewhat if I keep only small amounts of items in there but I am unable to keep it well stocked as it will get to warm. I get from LG that I am no longer under warranty and there is nothing they can do. All I can say to anyone is stay away as this is not my only issue with LG.

We purchased an LG French door fridge, stove and microwave in April 2016, by August 2016 the fridge no longer worked. We have been living out of coolers constantly having to buy ice for the past month. Spending lots of money eating out because I cant go grocery shopping. 2 techs have been out for repair, but have yet to fix the compressor which they both say is out. It is now September 2016 and I still have no working fridge. We paid $2583.50 for a fridge that lasted 4 months. After reading other peoples experiences here I now know that I have wasted a big amount of my money as I have had the same experience with Lg customer service. Long waits on the phone, no type of care or concern about having a customer fridge less for a month now, even after I told them we have a son whos medication must be refrigerated. No compensation offered whatsoever. None given when requested either. Their customer service line is horrible. They do not care about their customers at all.I have never reviewed any product because I have never had the need to do so. Everything always works just as promised. We had our previous fridge 12 years without a single repair made to it (kenmore) only replaced to this LG because kitchen was remodeled and wanted a new look. BIG MISTAKE - we made with our choice. Do NOT waste your money. LG products are NO good. Stay away.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator from Home Depot and it was delivered and installed on 05/25/2016. It has worked great up until 01/24/2020 when it no longer kept food frozen or cold. Followed troubleshooting guide in owners manual, still did not work. Called LG on 01/25/2020 as the unit is under warranty and it took 5 days before repairman (45 miles away) could check the unit. Upon testing on 1/29, he found that the compressor and dryer went bad. It has now been 2 weeks and finally all parts are in, but repair facilities 1st opening is on Friday 2/14. That means 22 days of dining out for meals, which is not cheap. So, if you decide to purchase an LG refrigerator, I suggest you purchase a back up or you will lose in my case, a months worth of food.

I bought this model (LSXS26326S) back in 2015, yes this come with 1 year warranty. June 2017, with no clue its just stop being refrigerator, ice not produce, not cool only one thing works is lighting. Called customer service right away, they question me if I have warranty? Yes 1 year warranty. If this case happens 10-20 years later it means this refrigerator already do their jobs, but only 2 years? Dont you think it something wrong might happen with their production? Its not like you bought a car, which is depending on how fast you drive, how aggressive you drive, care taking. But refrigerator what I only do is put food into refrigerator thats it. This refrigerator cost 1.5 k not some hundred dollar. I made a decision to purchase LG brands because I think that I could TRUST them. LG team gave me time to fix this on July 29th which is I could not accept this. I would like to get a same new working refrigerator or higher immediately or full refund so I can buy a refrigerator to keep my food cold and because I feel like I pay too much for this refrigerator that only working for 2 years. LG CASE NO. : **. They put me on Live Chat and waiting about 30 minutes and end up with screen was refreshing by itself and back to beginning again. Buy another brand.

We purchased an LG front-load washer online. It was delivered on 12/3/13. It quit working after 2 loads, showing a dE error message (supposedly a door/latch problem of some sort). The appliance serviceman sent to our house by LG made 4 unsuccessful attempts to fix it, over a span of about 4 weeks. He tried replacing both the latch (twice) and the door (twice). After this, LG wanted the service company to order still more parts for more repair attempts, but the service company finally called and told us to call LG and tell them you want a new machine. We did, last week. After several days I called LG again. Nothing had happened, since they required an official receipt (proof of purchase), which wasnt mentioned in the previous call. The LG rep then said to allow 4-5 days for a resolution. Today I called back and was told it takes 7 days for the claim investigation to be completed. So its been 5 1/2 weeks since weve had a working washer, and only God knows when well have one again. Instead, were treated to multiple trips to distant laundromats and picturesque, sky-high piles of unwashed clothes. And many fun hours on the phone, sending emails, and awaiting the repairman, who by now seems like a member of the family.

We purchased the LG washing machine and dryer from Spencers. I am dissatisfied with our salesman in that he should have made us aware that this washer is a large capacity machine with no capability to wash smaller loads. They want you to buy another machine to sit underneath the main washer. The dryer is a mess. I spent $1,000 for a dryer that doesnt sense the dryness of sheets!!! It shuts off early leaving the corners of the sheets wet. I called the technician who said thats the way it is and I should use the manual dry time and estimate how long it needs to dry completely... Really... Really... thats the way dryers operated in 1958! Dont waste your money on this piece of junk.

I use softener drying sheets and my clothes smells like mold. My husband hates the smell especially in the towels! I would never recommend a front loader and definitely not an LG brand. We purchased an LG washer and dryer set at Home Depot and within two weeks and only a few washes the washer leaks from the front. We had to pay an LG technical person $145 to come to our house and tell us it was because we have a dog and he said even a single dog hair in the door seal will make the front door leak. If you own a dog - this is a really terrible option for a washer. Apparently you need to clean the rubber seals and door after every wash and its virtually impossible to clean dog hair off of the rubber gasket in the front. Its still leaking and neither Home Depot or LG will take the product back. Too bad they cant at least pay for my water damaged floors. I can also add that the dryer is the noisiest I have ever owned. Also not recommending it. Maybe a Maytag from Sears next time?

We bought the LG appliance bundle of an oven/range, refrig, microwave and dishwasher and we also bought the front loading washer and dryer. This was one GIANT mistake and I regret buying from LG. Our ice maker was manufactured incorrectly and as a result we had 5 diff repairmen sent out with no solution. Our refrigerator should have been replaced but LG delayed the services and repairs putting us outside of the warranty date. Now our oven went out in less than 5 years and it has to be replaced. I went back through my LG file and remembered all of the problems with trying to get my rebates and that I had to spend more time trying to get it than it was worth. I have since learned that others have issues with their LG refrig and now I am learning about oven issues. Overall, I have learned to never buy LG. I was a believer but have since changed and advise others to avoid LG.

Refrigerator has been defective since purchase. Have now owned the above refrigerator for 5 years. It was purchased brand new from Home Depot. During this time, the compressor has been replaced 4 times. The Evaporator has been replaced. The Condenser has been replaced. They think the control board may not be working either. Additionally, 4 times, during these various replacements, it has stopped cooling within two days of the parts replacement, requiring another tech to make a service call and charge the Freon. In summary, I have been without a refrigerator for a total of 73 days. I have lost 5 refrigerators full of food due to spoilage and missed over 45 hours of work waiting for a tech. Despite numerous technicians stating that it needed to be replaced, LG has not acted on their advice. Stay away from LG refrigerators!

We purchased our set (LG Tromm DLG8388NM Washer and Dryer) in 2006 and for the first two years, everything seemed to work well. But now, the washer leaks, the drum is corroded with black disgusting gunk that is difficult to get to let alone clean. The clothes stink even after washing them twice, with bleach and fabric softener. The dryer spins but there aren’t any heat. We spent over $2,500 on the set from Home Depot and have been disappointed to say the least. We also had a bad experience with an LG dishwasher and refrigerator. Updated on 05/02/2021: This is my second review on the same LG electric range. This range has not worked correctly since the first month or two after we bought it! The temperature is NEVER at the correct temperature, the fan never stops blowing even though it’s in regular bake so that every baked good comes out too dark, and the cleaning feature has NEVER worked correctly. I have contacted LG and after them blowing me off the first time, I came here to warn people away from this garbage LG range. LG finally, after contacting me because of my first review, had two different repair companies come to my house. The first company had made seven appointments to attempt to see what was wrong. Four different repairmen came and each one gave us a different story and ordered the wrong parts, resulting in them having to order something else and come at a later date. The second company sent one repairman and he replaced some parts also and it seemed ok, but it’s still all over the place temperature wise and the fan never goes off, still!I do not use the convection setting, the fan should not be burning the tops of my food. This supposed attempt at LG repairing their defective appliance has been going on (this time) since November 2020. As soon as I can afford it, I’m buying a new range and rolling this one down the driveway for the garbage man. People, stay away from LG’s electric ranges, especially this model.Original Review: My LG electric range is only about 18 months old and I really think I wasted my money. I’ve cleaned it a few times a year and all it does is blow all of the dirty stuff onto the door and I always have a layer of black burnt on mess that I have to soak off. The gasket around the door is severely stained from the black gunk that just gets baked on as the oven cleans. I called LG about a year ago and they argued with me and told me to clean the gasket myself when the owner’s manual states not to. When I told the person which page to go to in the manual, they put me on hold forever. When they came back they said they would send out a new gasket that I could install myself. The gasket has yet to arrive, and the promised call-back from a supervisor never happened.Today, I cleaned my oven again and, yep, I’m soaking of the black layer with baking soda and water, the gasket is even more stained now. The oven fan seems to run non-stop, as if it is on convection not regular bake. I’m so disappointed and embarrassed that I proudly announced that I had just bought an LG range in the beginning. How can companies keep their business with such an inadequate level of customer service and defective products? I guess I’ll just be one of the crowd that I didn’t know existed until I searched for possible answers to this defective range’s issues. Never, never, never, again, LG! Keep your junk. My $1000 Whirlpool Gold could run laps around this piece of garbage, I wish I’d never replaced it.

I am writing this letter because my mom who lives with a terminal illness has been without a fridge for nine days. Neither the fridge nor freezer works. This isnt the first time. She went without a fridge for a week before this a month ago. She recently purchased this fridge in October of 2012. We were told to go buy or ask a neighbor for a cooler to put our food in. We live in a very small town, and it is difficult to eat out all the time. We have been losing out hundreds of dollars with the food going spoiled. In addition, I am working all day, and my mom is without food. The first guy who came to fix the fridge brought a hair dryer. The second guy said he only ordered the part for the freezer and not the fridge even though we told him that neither worked. When my mom called the appliance company to see how soon the part was coming in and asked if she could get the part number, the manager said he did not have to tell her that and spoke very rudely. Then when she asked when the technician was coming out, the manager told her the technician would be in court all day. My mom isnt able to speak well as her muscles are going out. She also noticed a scratch on her fridge that was done by the technicians. The appliance company said they had nothing to do with that as did LG when we called. Therefore, I called and spoke with the supervisor and filed a formal complaint hoping someone will hear our frustrations. The supervisor was helpful and did as much as he could, which was to see when the part would come in. However, the manager of the appliance company said he was on the road and couldnt give the information right there and then. That is understandable, but I dont understand why it is taking so long to get a part in. Can the part not be delivered in 1 or 2 business days? We paid over $1200 for this fridge. I dont understand the customer service. The appliance company has been rude and LG has not been able to do much. I understand there is a process for everything, but this has become too much. What are we to do? My mom is stressed with having a terminal illness and her husband passing away recently. Can you please fix this situation? I have sent this through the post office with urgency hoping that you can address the situation.

We purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator a few years ago and honestly has been nothing but problems and issues since the purchase. From the beginning, several parts (plastic door holders) starting falling off and breaking. We have had repair people out multiple times in the past few years (including again today). The refrigerator often freezes items and the freezer does not freeze (yes this is somewhat ironic). The freezer door is currently broken and ice maker is hanging down. Also, LG customer has been very difficult to work with, one of the most difficult appliance and customer service experiences I have ever had. If given another opportunity, we would not buy another LG fridge. I hope this is helpful and saves future buyers the challenging experience we have had with this fridge.

I will never buy another LG product again. I bought a top load washer 3 years ago. It was serviced once under warranty within the year. About 3 months out of warranty I get the UE message constantly. I thought it was no level, leveled it... OOH EE OOH EE UE... I thought it was too many clothes. OOH EEE OOOH EEEE. It is a big joke now between my wife and I although irritating. What good is a high-efficiency washer that uses 50 gallons of water (I am not sure of that amount but it fills the drum 3 times to balance) every time you do a load of laundry. I am sending this one to the junk pile soon. You shouldnt have to buy a new washer every 3 years. Actually this one should have been scrapped a year and a half ago. I think they have the initials backwards LG should be GL... Good Luck!

LG French Door Refrigerator/Freezer- This is the absolute worst appliance Ive ever owned, and Ive owned a bunch. 1st year of ownership computer board failed. Over next 8 years 3 fans went bad - out of warranty of course. Plastic door edge strips both had to be replaced - 5-7 yrs as the doors wouldnt close completely. Ice-maker was a real piece of junk - always jammed up and never produced a decent quantity of ice. Finally compressor went completely at year 12. Average life of unit is rated at 13 years - almost made it! Also learned that few techs will work on LG or Samsung because these units are not designed to produce error codes for diagnosis of problems. Also keep in mind, LG was formerly Goldstar, a very poor quality South Korean electronics company that was rebranded to LG because of their terrible quality and reputation. Run away quickly - you have been warned.

LG customer service is HORRIBLE. It has been a nightmare dealing with them. I own 3 LG TVs and a LG Dryer (had washer but it broke and went to Samsung). I just had my kitchen re-modeled and bought all new appliances. EVERYONE told me to stay away from LG due to their customer service. Product ok but service would be bad if I ever needed them. I was told to go with Samsung. I decided to stick with LG and bought $4K LG Refrigerator. In addition, I also purchases a new LG Stove, LG Microwave and LG Dishwasher. What a mistake! After only 5 months, my LG refrigerator broke! I called LG customer service. That, in itself, was frustrating. They sent someone out to fix it. After it being serviced it was still not working. I contacted them again and they sent the same service tech out. The service tech advised them and noted it on the paper he left me that it was broken and he could not fix it. I contacted LG to get replacement. They said they needed to send yet another tech. I took off another day of work and the tech never showed up!! When I contacted them, the same women picked up and we got disconnected 2 times. I called and got someone else and the phone seemed fine with no disconnection. It has been 3 weeks. I still have no refrigerator and LG still has not confirmed when we would have a service tech come out again. I have a family of 6 with no refrigerator!! After spending thousands of dollars on all new LG Appliances, I would NEVER recommend purchasing LG and will note the same for any potential future purchases. Next call.... Better Business Bureau.

On the surface, this is an awesome refrigerator. It looks good, has lots of space and makes ice like crazy. Too bad its broken down 4 times in as many years. The first time was because it wasnt properly ventilated. Never mind that our Frigidaire that we keep in the garage goes through winter and summer cycles without complaint and cost about 1/4 of what this one did. Ok, my bad. That one was at least covered under warranty. Next time it was the compressor. And the time after that, the water valve. Now the freezer light of out (probably the freezer drawer switch). This is pathetic. The last couple of problems werent covered and neither will this one be.

WM2050 CW - After reading all the concerns and complaints from other customers, I must say that I have very similar problems with this machine. First, the smell of clothes and the permanent stench that this washer has is nauseating. Second, the machine started leaking from the bottom about a month ago. We thought it was the bottom filter that needed cleaning so my wife and I cleaned it periodically thereafter. That did not stop the leak. Today we pulled machine out of wash room to outside wood deck and propped it up on wood rafters so that I could get under it and examine origin of leak. It appears to be the door boot seal, which I intend to replace myself after I order it from Amazon ($70). I will update this review as I install and use machine with new part. Just like other reviewers, though, I would not buy another LG washer or dryer, not will I buy a front-loading machine.

I purchased an LG appliance suite. Although Costco extended the warranty another year from the manufacturer I was worried that at the 2 1/2 year mark that we were going to have to pay or replace our refrigerator when the compressor stopped working in December 2018. I had a local appliance repair place came out in determining with the compressor and told me that I should just buy a new refrigerator. I reached out to LG and asked if they were doing anything for customers at the compressors are not laughing the industry standard. I was greeted with sympathy from the LG customer service rep. He looked up my model and told me that I had a 10-year compressor warranty and assured me that hed write up a ticket at no charge for labor or the service call. I was able to get an appointment within three days and the service people were prompt and the repair was done within an hour and a half and my refrigerator is working beautifully. Although Im disappointed that the refrigerator needed a repair at the 2 and 1/2 year mark. I am pleased to say that LG made the repair process a simple one.

Bought French Door fridge with ice and water dispenser about 18 months ago.
Bought French Door fridge with ice and water dispenser about 18 months ago. Had minor problems, but were able to solve them. Today, at 5pm when my service provider is gone until Monday morning, the refrigerator started to emit a burning rubber/Teflon-like smell along with a chemical smell that is sort of sweet. Hard to describe, but it has given me a headache. We pulled the fridge out from its niche and dusted the vents, which we do every couple of months anyway. The smell is still there but it seems to have abated because we opened the windows (its 20 degrees outside so now I have a headache AND I am freezing). According to the door panel, the temperature in both freezer and fridge is constant and not dropping or rising, so that is good.Does anyone have similar experiences and do you know what it might be? I was able to get hold of someone from the company I bought it from - I bought an extended warranty from them - and he said he had no idea what it could be and hes never heard of anything like that on an LG. Said that it might be dust or dog hair - NOPE. I am afraid to leave it plugged in when we go to bed. Anyone have any suggestions?

I really loved this refrigerator (LMXS30776S), lots of space, extra drawer for drinks, and the black stainless steel. We bought it 5/22/16, and the compressor went out on 6/29/18... we bought the extended warranty (thru HH Gregg). They had someone out 7/3 who said they werent qualified to fix the compressor, and another company stood us up altogether. After hours spent on hold, and the warranty company saying its now in a diff department... I ended up live chatting with LG who gave me a list of their approved companies - out of 6 I finally have someone coming out to hopefully fix the compressor on 7/20. We paid $3461 (tax & warranty included) for this beautiful piece of worthless metal! I understand things break, but I think its strange that some companies refuse to work on LG refrigerators or arent qualified. I would never recommend this refrigerator.

Updated on 11/13/2019: Another 2 days have gone by and it is 4 pm and the LG service people have not shown up again. Consumer Affairs keeps say there are holding things up due to the fact they cannot find our refrigerator by the serial number. I would like to take a picture of it, but they don’t tell me where to send it. My husband send a copy of our receipt over a week ago, but that doesn’t seem to be enough! We have been without a refrigerator since October 3rd- guess my next step is The Better Business Bureau. Every day they promise something it it never seems to happen. I lost over $400 in food plus 6 weeks of eating out. My house is up for sale and how do you think a non-working refrigerator looks to people looking at our house! LG Service is the worst.Updated on 11/11/2019: This is a follow up to a previous review.... After 6 weeks without a refrigerator we were scheduled service for the 3rd time, today between 1& 5- took off of work again (they told us this would be a 3 hour repair) and guess what they call us at 1:30 to cancel our appt for today! Will never buy another LG product just because their set ice is so bad!Original Review: On October 3rd, I called for Service on my LG refrigerator- they did some sort of scan from my phone and told me the refrigerator was fine and I must have left the door ajar and that is why things were warm and ice was melting. I was told to unplug my refrigerator for about 15 minutes, plug it back in and keep door closed for at least 6 hours and I should be fine. I went to bed, got up the next morning and everything in my freezer was thawed and refrigerator was warm, so needless to say I had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food.I called again, they wanted to send a repairman out the following Monday and not before, well we were leaving town Sunday for my son’s wedding. Service was then scheduled for October 18th. When they came on the 18th I was told I needed a new compressor on my 3 year old refrigerator which was still under warranty. But it would take them 10 days to get the parts. Service was set up for October 28th between 8 and 12 and I was told it may take 3 hours, so I took the day off of work.Well, the 28th comes but only 2 of 3 parts had been delivered, so they did not come. Then it was rescheduled for today 10/30, but parts still are not in....after many phone calls and not getting any real answers - we have asked for a new refrigerator they say you have to have 3 service calls for the same complaint or if they can’t get the parts from 30 days after service call. Well even though we called on 10/3, the 30 days starts on 10/18 when the service man actually came to our house. So, apparently we have to wait now til 11/18 if the part doesn’t come in - that is 6 weeks without a refrigerator. I will never buy LG again!

Spending nearly $900 on my LG washing machine was the single biggest waste of hard earned money I’ve ever experienced. This thing is not worth the box it came in. It’s the worst household appliance I’ve ever owned. Since my purchase I’ve read countless reviews saying the exact same thing. It’s not at all unusual to spend between 12 and 36 hrs to actually get a load of clothes washed after continuous malfunctions. We are literally hauling it to the landfill. This machine would be an insult to give to someone else. I will most definitely not ever purchase another LG product. BE WARNED... Do your research and check reviews before wasting your money on any type of LG washing machine. This product doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I was hesitant on purchasing another LG Range because 6 years ago I filed a lawsuit against them for advertising their specific electric range as a true convection with sabbath mode when in fact it was not. We won the lawsuit due to LG falsely advertising their product. This leads up to yesterday when I decided to give them a try again. Figuring they learned their lesson, I purchased their LRE3194BS. They (LG) claims on their website as well as on every website that sells this range (Best Buy is where I purchased) that it is in fact a True convection (3rd heating element behind the fan). After it was delivered yesterday I opened up the owners manual and it stating it is NOT a true convection. When I called LG customer service to find out exactly what was going on and to ask what the difference was with their True Convection & their new Pro Bake Convection, the representatives could not tell me the difference. They then connected me to the corporate USA office in Alabama where a representative answered the phone. I explained not only my concern but also brought up the lawsuit 6 yrs prior and she stated this unit was NOT true convection. I asked about their webpage and the info they provide to retailers and she simply stated she has no idea who is responsible for putting correct and valid info online. I said this is just like years ago and youre falsely advertising your ranges again. She then Hung Up on me. Hopefully another attorney will pick up a new case against them.

I called for service when I realized my freezer/refrigerator was failing and instead of having service immediately available which could have saved my perishables, it took over a week to get repairs. The repairs consisted of an inspection, ordering of parts and finally the actual repair. Meanwhile, hundreds of dollars worth of food all had to be thrown away. The loss of food compensation based on the size of my refrigerator (24.5 cu ft) was $150. Ridiculous. One health supplement alone was $40, not to mention the custom (and very expensive) food I was storing for my dog who is slowly dying from kidney disease. This was my second LG refrigerator and it will, unfortunately be my last. The bottom line is, forget the ratings on the bells and whistles for a new refrigerator—check out how long a refrigerator actually lasted and *then* make an informed decision.

I am very upset with my LG purchase. Back in January 2019 my stove was delivered & installed. Everything seemed fine until I decided to clean the stove using the self cleaning feature on Friday, 8/9/2019. After using the self cleaning feature the enamel on my stove is burnt in the corners of the door. During initial conversation with the Warranty Department I was given a case number and told I would be contacted to arrange an appointment time for their technician to come take a look at the stove. Two days later I receive a phone call from a service company explaining that my cosmetic defect is not covered by the warranty and if they come out and determine it is not a manufacturer defect I will have to pay a service fee. I shared with her my concerns of over-heating or possible burnt enamel and explained that I did not feel comfortable with this scenario.I called LG back and they decided to send out a Certified LG technician. He called this morning 8/14/19 and said he would be here between 2-5. When he arrived (5:10pm) today he said has no idea what caused these marks, he even noted that he could not test the oven because it happens during the cleaning cycle when the door is locked. He placed a call to his tech team back at the office. Even he gets placed on a LONG hold! He shares with me that he needs to get to his next appointment and will call me back with their determination. When he called me back I was told they are not going to cover the defect that it is burnt on food. (Huh!!)First how do they know. They were not here? The technician that physically looked at the stove and did not come up with this scenario - a person on the phone did??? But even with this possible scenario - I asked how can food get in-between the gasket and the door? Yet there is no burnt on food anywhere else in the stove. Not even on the floor of the stove! He tells me there is nothing he can do to call customer service again. Now we are waiting on a 2nd technician visit. Please keep in mind I have literally spent hours on the phone with each call. Taken 3 hours off from work today and will need to take additional time off on Friday for the second appointment. I hope this nightmare ends soon.

Our washing machine did not work from the moment of moving into our new home. It was still under warranty. It is a LG washing machine. Model: WT1801HVA. I called LG in August of 2020 to have it repaired. Because we had no idea what was wrong with it and if it was covered under warranty, we decided to go with the flat rate program through LG. That means for one flat rate, no matter what is wrong with it, you won’t be charged anymore than that fee to fix it. This fee can be reimbursed if the machine cannot be fixed. I was charged $219.45 on Sept 2, 2020. We were given 3 companies to chose from to come out and fix it. The first company we called said they don’t come to Okotoks. The second company stated it was a two person job and refused to even look at it. The third company was Summer Breeze Appliance. They came out one time, could not fix it but ordered the parts. The second time they came out, they could not get the panel in correctly and came back another day. They put the new panel in and the washing machine worked once before not working again. We called Summer Breeze and the technician to advise them their work did not work. To this day, we have not heard back... I believe they are out of business. SO we decided to get paid out a pro rate fee for our washing machine through LG so we didn’t have to go through the hassle. We finally got our cheque for that a couple of months ago ($769.87). Here comes the headache. I requested to have the one time flat rate fee reimbursed sometime in December of 2020. I have called LG every two weeks since the beginning of January to get this money back. I have been told since January that the customer service representatives have contacted their finance department multiple times with no response. I provided LG with the exact date of the transaction and they asked me to check my credit card statements. I told them I had not received anything. The most recent dealings with LG have been the worse. On 2021/03/03, I spoke to an executive team member, Mohammed (**). After a very lengthy conversation he stated he will look into it (the same thing every other representative stated) and will get back to me. Not one customer service representative ever got back to me. So I asked him to call me back by a certain date with any information. He said he could not provide a date to call me back. I pleaded and said give me a date to call back please as I am so busy when I am working. He stated maybe by Monday. I said, ‘maybe? Can you please promise Monday and not maybe?’. He stated ‘hopefully I won’t pass away by then. Hopefully I will still be alive to speak to you on Monday’. Monday 2021/03/08, at noon, I still hadn’t heard from Mohammed and thought maybe he did in fact pass away (cruel humour I know). I called LG and asked to speak to him. The customer service representative said that he was unavailable and that he will call me when he is free. Hours go by with no call. It is now 1 hour before they close. I call and ask to speak to another executive team member. He states he can’t help me because Mohammed has the information. I ask to speak to upper management. He hangs up on me. I call back and speak to Ernesto who tells me I have to email to speak to upper management. Email has been sent. He also says that Mohammed is right next to him. I ask him to ask Mohammed for an update. He said he couldn’t do that. Ernesto states the refund has been ‘approved’. He stated Covid has disrupted everything. I ask for him to put my call on hold to speak to Mohammed about ‘details only he can provide’. He refuses as well and hangs up on me. I am hoping to get some resolution to this matter. I have spent upwards of 14 hours on the phone with LG and feel like I am not getting anywhere. We are still without our washing machine and this has been a huge disruption in our life.

LG replaced, now June 2020 unit will not cool, A and E come out and tech recovers freon and recharges and says if unit doesnt cool down in 24 hrs it will have to be replaced, called LG and they said we need to make three attempts to repair it with A and E talking to their tech support!!! In covid 19 pandemic and LG wants to train people in and out of peoples houses after A and E said it could not be repaired, company is a complete joke!!! Do your homework before you buy LG anything.

First, one shelf, then another. The plastic cracks and then disintegrates. If I could rate this with a negative star, I would. Ive owned several refrigerators and in fact, we have an old fridge in the basement which is over 10 years old and it works well. It just didnt fit in the place upstairs. Nothing is broken on that older fridge. But THIS LG fridge, is in terrible shape. I just took out some shelves to clean and my middle shelf with the glass panel and meat keeper, disintegrated in my hand. Its in pieces. Im not rough on my fridges and I have never had this happen before. AVOID LG products will be my appliance mantra going forward.

I have a LG LSXS26326 side by side, not even 3 years old, purchased 3/2015 from Lowes for $1600, 3 weeks ago is not cooling on either side. I called LG direct many times, always getting the runaround. I was given 2 numbers of repair services in my area. I called these numbers 2 days in a row and left messages, with no response. Every service repair company I called in my area said they are not authorized to work on LG sealed system or compressor, since they are under warranty. HomeAdvisor sent a service repair out from SC, Im in NC, 30 minutes and $75 dollars later, I was told it would cost a minimum of $500.00 in labor to fix the problem and maybe parts, since LG customer service is so hard to deal with, like I didnt already know. Repair would need to replace compressor and sealed system and blowing out lines with very expensive gas. I was told parts are still under warranty by LG Direct, but could take 7-10 days to ship out, who knows how long it would take to get them??? Ive lost hundreds in food. My repairman basically told me to go bUy a new refrigerator, he said 85% of the refrigerators they work on are LG, and recommended Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and/or Maytag as replacements. Very upset that they do not stand behind their products and their customer service has A LOT to desire. Do not buy LG unless you have money to throw away. Im a single mom and this has cut way into our budget. $1600.00 down the drain!!! We had hopes to go on vacation this year, but thanks to LG that wont be happening, having to buy another fridge in such a short period of time, has taken that out of the budget.

I have had this front load washer about 5 years. Have had to replace the drain pump and the water mixing valve already. We always leave the door open for a few hours after each wash to dry the front seal or we get the moldy smell. Its pretty bad when we forget that step. Now the display flashes all the way across the control panel and the washer will not start washing. The wife and I are a small family and generally wash only 3-4 loads a week, so the washer doesnt get a lot of use. Im ready to give up on this washer. Its not terrible but its not a good experience either. I paid nearly $1000 for this fine machine. Time to get rid of this POS.

After reading all the entries in this section, I thought Id let others know that you are not alone. In a nutshell, my LG frig (bottom freezer model LRFC22750SW) had to have the motherboard replaced 3 times in the first 2 years: the lights staying on problem happened twice and one time the light bulbs inside the fridge exploded in my face when I tried to remove them with an oven mitt. The clamps at the top of the doors broke off for no apparent reason. They just fell into my hand one day. The gasket around the fridge doors failed. The icemaker failed. The front dented after barely nudging it. The freezer was blasting frost throughout due to a relay switch going bad. But heres the kicker - there was a class action lawsuit filed due to the lights in the fridge staying on and melting the inside of the fridge. I joined the claim and they advised that my $408 for one of the repairs would be reimbursed. This was over a year ago and I have not received any reimbursement to date. What astonishes me is that some sites say LG refrigerators are in the top 10 of certain lists. I dont understand how this can be true, especially seeing all these complaints on this site. Needless to say, I will never buy another LG and I will never recommend the brand to anyone for any type of device.

Hi! I love my LG refrigerator! It is the best refrigerator I have ever owned! The temperature in the whole refrigerator is pretty much consistent. The drawers are a nice size. Easy to find things. The freezer makes ice cubes well. The setup inside the freezer area is nice. The overall look of the refrigerator is nice! I have the French doors and many years later, the doors still line up well!! The stainless appearance is a nice color and has held up nicely! And never had anything wrong or to be fixed.

My LG has been very reliable for 9 years. I love having the freezer at the bottom with the double refrigerator doors at the top. The ONLY design feature I don’t like at all is the temp controlled drawer that goes across the full width of the refrigerator. In order to use that drawer you have to open both doors. Would much prefer 2 smaller drawers accessible individually from each side.

I will avoid all LG products like the plague from now on! My smart top loading washer (recommended by Consumer Reports at the time) repeatedly gave the UE error. I called LG Customer Service for solutions to the problem. Their recommendation was to add/remove clothing to balance the load. Thats all the advice they had to offer. (Im sorry that I didnt have more dirty clothing to wash at that time. Apparently, they expected me to pull clean clothes out of my closet to balance the load!) When I operated the washer with no clothing in the machine, I realized the problem was with the washer - not my loading technique. After my water bill TRIPLED because of the huge amount of water used to attempt to balance the loads, I requested a service call. The technician informed me that the problem was due to a KNOWN software issue and all that was needed to fix the problem was a software update. I have no issue with this. What I do have an issue with is that LG Electronics failed to form consumers of this simple fix! Apparently, LG Electronics doesnt care about consumers- they just like to sell products. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME!

UPDATED 10/10/2020: DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!!! So... Not only am I still to hear back from LG here (since that was their response on this website) but ever since the compressor was replaced, the in-door icemaker only works when I reset it, and the extra ice maker in the freezer doesnt work at all anymore. Once again, it will take about 10 days to get somebody here to check it out, at which time I have no doubt it will then take another 2 weeks to get it fixed. Also, the finish on our 3 y/o LG washer is now peeling away below the detergent drawer. Totally disgusted by the product quality and customer service of this company.UPDATED 9/28/2020: STARDATE: 09282020 CAPTAINS LOG: 3RD ENTRY. LG replied to my prior review that they could not reach me as they had no contact info, case number, etc., but stating that they really want to help me out and make things right. Mind you, my review specifically noted their chosen repair service, A&E, so why they couldnt track me down is inexcusable and just further illustrates their apathy. Anyway, in their reply they asked me to reply in private with my contact info, which I did. After 2 weeks, I still have yet to hear back from them. Stay tuned...ORIGINAL REVIEW: Compressor failed after only 2.5 years of service. (Compared to its predecessor GE still going strong after 10 years.) After LG diagnosed bad compressor over the phone, we had to wait for two weeks for a service technician to visit. Instead of bringing the new part he simply confirmed the diagnosis and said it would take another two weeks to order and install the parts. The tech who ultimately replaced the compressor (with basically the same model, oh great!) stated that the initial tech was not telling the truth because they all carry LG compressors in their trucks as the problem is so common and widespread. We initially had to discard hundreds of dollars in food, plus we had to constantly buy ice and live out of ice chests in the garage over the course of nearly one month without the LG. Turns out there is a class action suit because of LG knowingly continuing to use the same faulty compressor, so guess Ill be adding to this complaint in a couple years!

We moved into our new home this past year and purchased all new LG applianc
We moved into our new home this past year and purchased all new LG appliances. Within about a month after we purchased our stove, we had problems with the main board, and it was replaced without a problem. At the end of May, we started having problems with our refrigerator. It began making loud noises and then shutting itself off. We contacted the company to arrange the repair, and the repairman scheduled a call for the end of the week. When the repairman didnt show, we called the service. We were told, at first, that someone would be there, and then we were told that we were never put on the schedule. A service man ended up stopping by and told us that the problem is also the main board. It is a common problem that he works on all the time. He continued to tell us that LG was a very poor product, and we shouldnt have purchased it because of all the problems he addresses with them. He said he would order the part and let us know when it came in. The following week, he told us mid-week that he ordered the part and was waiting for it. By the following Monday, my daughter became ill with the symptoms of food poisoning. I contacted LG again to complain and was told they would replace the unit with a new or upgraded model. The representative named Isla took my information and informed me it would be processed within business days as soon as they received a copy of our receipt. I uploaded the receipt and called them back. I was informed that they had received the receipt, and it would be sent to the replacement division who would call me back. Yesterday (5 days later), I called LG and the representative didnt seem to know what was going on so I requested to speak with a supervisor. I then talked to Sherry, who was actually nice and tried to be understanding. She told me that the person I talked to on Monday didnt do anything with the case and was not authorized to promise us anything. She said she would do what she could, but it was up to the Replacement Division to determine what would happen. After being on the phone with her for another hour and breaking down in tears over the frustration of dealing with them on this, she researched our case and assured me that she had sent it to the Replacement Division. A representative named Kim would contact me that afternoon. She also told me that if I didnt hear anything by 4:30 Central time, I should call them back as their day ended at 5:00 Central time. That would give Kim time to talk to me on the status. When I called back, I talked to a person named Courtney and asked to speak with a supervisor. She informed me that the supervisor was away from his desk. I asked her to either find him or allow me to stay on the phone until he returned. She refused and said the only options I had were to either leave a voice message or she would email him. I informed her that after my experience, I didnt trust them to get back to me. I wanted to speak to him immediately, which I was refused. Eventually, I agreed to have her email him with a copy sent to me, and she put me on hold. I was then connected with Kim, who was completely rude, and told me that they were not going to replace the unit. They were going to issue us a refund of the appliance, and that the paper work would be sent to us on Monday because the end of the day was in 12 minutes. She wouldnt bother to do anything that close to closing. She then told me it would take another week to process the paper work, send it to accounting and then eventually, they would issue us a check. If we are lucky, maybe in two more weeks. As far as the refrigerator is concerned, they dont want it back so we have to also figure out how to dispose of it. So now, we have a bad refrigerator that we cant use. The customer service department has been unprofessional AND irresponsible in handling our case, and we have no immediate resolution in sight. It is unacceptable that customers are being treated this way.

Buyer beware. We moved into our new house and discovered the existing french door LG was not cooling. (I see other reviews here mentioning the same cooling issue) It is three years old and no longer cooling. Trying to get this under-warranty refrigerator serviced has been a nightmare. Only registered techs can repair it if you can find someone in your area. It has been two months, three service people and two plus hours on the phone with LG and I have yet to have a service person even begin to work on it. If the next service person who comes (tech number 4 in 3 weeks) tells me that it really isnt this its really that and of course they dont have the part or the order was not written correctly or they just dont show up because they resigned and didnt tell anyone, I will pull my hair out. I advise anyone who is considering this refrigerator to find something else and save yourself the frustration (They should have minus stars on here).

This is the worst experience I have had with any refrigerator. After buying a new expensive LG french door refrigerator (Model: LFX33975ST/02, Serial # 304KRRE1Y558) in Aug 2013, we have had SO MANY issues with the refrigerator starting within 4 months of buying it and having them come out to try and fix the same issues over and over again: 1) Water dispenser leaking. 2) Ice maker not dispensing. 3) Crisper drawer freezing my vegetables (for months now). I now have the same issues again since Dec 29th and still waiting for them to get addressed and being told that the refrigerator cannot be replaced because it is outside the manufacturers 1 yr warranty (even though we saw the same issues within 4 months of buying it)!! Massachusetts has a lemon law.. maybe time to call a lawyer???

Purchased this unit in Feb. 2011. Eight months later the ice maker quit. LG replaced it. 6 months later it failed again, this time on me. Two months later water supply to ice maker froze and pushed the water line out of the back of the unit, wet floor, ruined ceiling and wall in basement. 4 months later, water solenoid failed in the open position, filled the freezer with water, large block of ice and ruined food. Two weeks ago noticed the freezer was frosting up bad. Found that the freezer fan was not working. Ordered new motor. Upon returning from work this evening the refrigerator was 62 degrees, more ruined food. Called LG, said they had other complaints of the same. Offered to schedule a repairman for me. Updated on 3/30/2020: So after a good amount of time I thought maybe maybe our problems with this LG fridge was over. LG sent out a repairman who was a nice guy and over two appointments he attempted to fix the problems. And now a week or maybe two weeks later it’s so much worse. Now after correcting the ice maker issue by adapting or changing lines from the freezer to the ice maker and doing something else with the freezer motor or what have you, we notice this morning water leaking from the door where the ice maker is located. After trying to clean up the water we realize it’s not cold in the ice maker compartment and then realize the freezer is not working and half the contents are thawed or half thawed. It must have been happening during the night at some point. Now we have all this food about to ruin soon. This fridge is a nightmare. It has been 4 years of hell. It is just a waste of almost $4,000 dollars!Original Review: I had many LG products when I bought my $4,000 fridge. I was so excited and for us that’s an expensive purchase. Within a year the problems started. We’ve had the fridge fail several times including the famous linear compressor problem now in class action suit. But water runs inside the walls and freezes in the middle drawer chiller section. It rusts the wheels or rollers and now we can’t use the middle drawer. Not a crisper drawer inside but the big whole drawer in the middle which costs you another 1k to have the 4 drawer fridge. It’s useless. They can’t find the parts for the back wheels. The front ones don’t fit. They’ve sent out repair people which we have to pay for and they’ve sent out a dozen parts all of which don’t work and we pay for. We’ve been dealing with customer service supervisor Alexandra ** for 6 months and she can’t or won’t get anything done. LG is a scam company stealing money from consumers!!!

Unfortunately, the compressor broke on my LG refrigerator. I filed a claim and it took them roughly two weeks to fix it. They couldn’t send anybody out and the day that I had it scheduled, the guy cancelled on me at the last minute and said that he got the wrong part. So me, my husband, and my little baby were living out of a cooler for two weeks because no one could fix our fridge. I was super upset because it was a brand new fridge that we bought and it was four years. Eventually, they fixed it but I still feel that it doesn’t cool that great. Then they told us that we should only be keeping it 40% full, which is ridiculous because you don’t buy a fridge to only keep at 40% full or it’s not gonna work properly. But that was what the technician told us. We’ve had ongoing issues with this, too. All the little baskets that you can put the milk or sauce containers on are breaking off because the plastic is so brittle and there’s a weak point in it. The design of the plastic is not well-designed. When you spent $2,000 on a fridge, you don’t expect in four years that the containers on the door that you should be able to store things in, are gonna break off. Then the replacement is $90 and when I read all the reviews, people are saying not to even bother replacing it because it’s gonna break again. So, my husband and I decided that we’re never gonna buy an LG again.

This refrigerator has been nothing but aggravation. We have had problems with the freezer fa, replaced several times. Ice forming inside the refrigerator left side, food freezing in the left crisper and continuous significant noise like a motor boat. This grinding subsides for a few days, then starts again. The latest problem caused the refrigerator to stop working completely. It has been almost three weeks and it is still not operational. Service is horrendous. Overnight parts do not arrive on time. Only one technician in the area. Parts needed are ordered one at a time, extending down time, rather than sent together to shorten repair time. The most frustrating issue is the difficulty of reaching anyone without being re-routed several times, then dropping the line after 45 minutes to one hour.
